0:16Rotoire Emergency Live podcast because we have a major shakeup. Uh the the NFL season is right around the corner and now we get this this news. It's been
0:27like a slow drip today. We get Caleb Johnson now becoming a Green Bay Packer and then we sort of it's sort of a drum
0:36beat that something could be happening and then you get the Josh Jacobs commissioner's exempt list. So breaking down sort of like what what happened
0:45here and the timeline. So Jacobs goes on the commissioner's exempt list. He's going to miss at least the start of the
0:51season. And the NFL placed him on this on this list just today. So I'm recording this Sunday. It's 3:00 on on
0:58the on the East Coast here. Cannot practice or play and he's not going to count towards the 53 man. He continues
1:06to be paid and it's really no timetable for how long he stays on the exempt list. Um, but it sounds bad to me. And
1:14when we talk about like the he gets misdemeanor charges and now he gets on the commissioner's exempt list, there's also video. So, you start thinking
1:22about, if you've been playing this game long enough, incidents like the Ray Rice incident and sort of what was happening and and and how it just sort of spiraled
1:31and then all of a sudden Ray Rice never played again. And I don't know if it's going to be like this one and I'm not
1:36trying to assume it would be like this one, but I think if you're drafting now, if you're in a league that is and how
1:42how we're going to handle this, how we're going to handle this one. So Josh Jacobs, if you're drafting now, how I'm
1:50handling Jacobs, and I just updated my rankings over Rotoire right after the news, I had Marshon Lloyd well ahead of ADP and we had Marshon Lloyd. If you

2:21mean, I I had him in the 60s, and that's a that's a big L, but we didn't know this was coming. Now, where am I moving
2:28Jacobs down to? If I'm in a Yahoo or Sleeper or ESPN league, and my league is like 14 man and it's 14 rounds, you
2:35don't need to have them on your team.
2:37It's not uh something you need to fall on here because we don't know when he'll come back. And if you want to take the
2:42risk and you want to be the one that says this is nothing, then I'm comfortable taking Josh Jacobs, I think we have to drop him now in the double
2:51digit rounds 100%. And I think when you talk about how long he could be out, I don't know, but I think it could be bad.
2:59It could be long. Um it's a video and video is is a whole another ball game. I see people in the comments here. Shout
3:06out to all the people tuning in live here. Video is video and there is video with this incident and apparently the
3:12video supports the you know the the crime and all that kind of stuff. So obviously none of us have seen the
3:18video. We don't know how what it looks like but it it can't be good. It's not a good thing here. Uh so for me if I'm
3:23drafted in a 14 uh man league uh where you know there's 14 roster spots then um I'm being really like probably not
3:32taking them at all. And if you want to be the guy that says, you know, Theo's wrong, all these guys are wrong. I like
3:37taking risk, um, I'm going to go and and draft Josh Jacobs no earlier than the 12th round. 12th to 14th round would be
3:44where I would sort of fall in here. And that's that's where that's where I'm at here. Um, when we get to the the fallout
3:53here, so we talk about Jacobs. I've dropped him in my rankings. I think everybody's going to drop them. And where you should take them, I think
3:59double-digit rounds here. Dynasty is a whole another story, but for reddraft specifically, you want to avoid this sort of
4:08situation. Uh because it's it's obviously it's the lack of clarity. And then also, if I'm in a 14-man league, let's say I'm holding Josh Jacobs and
4:19let's say I'm I say, you know, maybe something's going to happen here. That's one spot that's not going to allow you
4:24to play the waiver wire. So, if you're in a 14-man league, there's going to be guys early in the season you want to
4:30add, and you're going to say, "Oh, well, I I spent my uh 10th round pick on Josh Jacobs after this sort of news, and now
4:36I'm sort of sitting on him." So, Josh Jacobs for me, if I'm in an FFPC or NFC league, and I want to take a risk, I'm
4:43going 12th to 14th round. I think that sounds about right. For my own personal rankings, I dropped him. I dropped him
4:50considerably. Uh, you can find those over at Rotoire. Now, let's talk about the fantasy fallout and how this thing's going to look. We have an elite play
4:58caller in Laflur, and he gets a lot of flack, but the guy knows how to call plays in the NFL. He's also a running
5:04back whisperer. This is a a a coach that has produced, this is a great stat for you, top 12 running back in PPR, points
5:14per game scoring in six out of the last seven years. So between Aaron Jones and between Josh Jacobs, Laflur has continually produced uh a ton of fantasy
5:25scoring and Marshon Lloyd is in the driver's seat here. So I'm going to make sure that I'm I want all of my
5:31subscribers at Rotoire who are following my content and have drafts this week to be ahead of the rest of their league and
5:38in where we're having Marshon Lloyd because Lloyd's in a great situation. Uh Marshon Lloyd the team spent a third round pick on. He's been around the
5:48organization for years. This is Matt Laflur likes him. Jordan Love has been praising him and it's a it's a solid solid franchise in Green Bay. They took
5:59Marshon Lloyd in the third round. He's had all these injuries and they've stood by him to the point where he's there's
6:06hype this off season and he's playing very well and the coaching staff continually praising him. this is a great situation for him and a situation
6:16where Lloyd is going to produce in a major way. And I see somebody in the chat saying Lloyd is no Jacobs or Jones,
6:23but he does benefit from this situation here where Marshon Lloyd I think could end up being a top I mean very
6:29reasonably I think he can be a top 18 scorer uh this season uh in PPR for for the Green Bay Packers and for your
6:38fantasy team and I don't think you're enough to pay that. I think that's sort of a reasonable outcome for Marshon Lloyd for the situation he's in, for the
6:46history we have with Matt Laflur and how he has the most experience with the team and this is just a player that they've
6:55invested a ton in. We also have seen this story before. Christian Watson. Uh, and obviously Christian Watson, the team used higher draft capital on, but
7:03Christian Watson dealt with all these injuries and Green Bay sort of stuck by Christian Watson. And they've seem to have done the same thing with Marshon
7:12Lloyd. So Marshon Lloyd moves up a ton in all these rankings. Now, let's talk about Caleb Johnson and Chris Brooks. If
7:20you want to take shots on Caleb Johnson and Chris Brooks, go for it. And we don't know how Green Bay valued Caleb
7:27Johnson, the prospect, but we do know that two coaching staffs have come through Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh drafted him last year and he couldn't get on the
7:36field with with Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith. Couldn't get there. Then we have this window of opportunity with this new coaching staff with Mike McCarthy and he
7:46he's out. So we've seen Caleb Johnson with two separate coaching staffs. This is not just like, oh, Mike Tomlin hates the guy. This is two separate coaching
7:56staffs and now he's in Green Bay. Now, from a prospect perspective, Caleb Johnson was a heck of a producer at Iowa, um, but hasn't hasn't produced in
8:07the NFL. Now, we don't know what Green Bay thinks of Caleb Johnson, the prospect, but I do think if you're looking at this from a Marshon Lloyd
8:14standpoint, getting Caleb Johnson, instead of getting a guy like, let's say, a James Connor, where you could make a, oh, James Connor can be sort of
8:24a bridge running back, a veteran who's produced over the years, I think this is a net win for Marshon Lloyd. This is
8:31really, for me, I'm not even thinking about Caleb Johnson. To me, Caleb Johnson is now battling it out with Chris Brooks. And if you both of those
8:39guys are draftable now, but for me, Chris Brooks probably has the upper hand, at least at the start of the season. Can Caleb Johnson come in and
8:46take Chris Brooks's job and be the number two back there? Fine. But that's not something we're going to pay up for.
8:53So, Marshon Lloyd is the pickup. No question. And if any fantasy analyst is out there telling you that Caleb Johnson's going to come in and just be
9:02running ahead of Marshon Lloyd when the guy just got ignored by two Pittsburgh coaching staffs, then maybe you need to upgrade where you're getting your
9:11fantasy football content. Um because it's Marshon Lloyd, no questions asked.
9:16Marshon Lloyd needs to move up. And I'm try again. I'm going to try to be ahead of everybody, but I this is not rocket
9:23science. This is a Matt Laflur offense.
9:25This is the highest pedigreed running back in this room. The drum beats and the vibes have been o off the charts.
9:33The vibes are immaculate with Marshon Lloyd and instead of going out and getting a veteran running back who's got a lot of NFL experience and there's a
9:40ton of those guys out there. They go out and they get Caleb Johnson essentially off the scrap heap. So Marshon Lloyd is
9:48the massive winner today. Uh now start breaking it down. Jacob's obviously the loser. Marshon Lloyd a huge winner.
9:57Let's talk about uh a couple of sneaky winners here. And a couple of sneaky winners here. It's Jordan Love and the
10:05Green Bay Packers wide receivers cuz this offense is going to have to be a little bit more open. Marshon Lloyd is
10:11not the Josh Jacobs like volume guy.
10:15He's he's going to get volume, but it's not going to be the same as we saw.
10:18Certainly not 2024 volume. and it would be a huge win if it was 2025 volume.
10:24It's probably going to be very different um the way that they utilize Marshon Lloyd. It's not a like forlike replacement. It's more of like a thunder
10:31and lightning. Lloyd is a excellent athlete. Go back to some of the uh athleticism scores from the combine, some of the reports from USC. Um Lloyd
10:43is just so easy to root for. Coolest coolest Marshon Lloyd story out there before we move off on Marshon Lloyd. And
10:48I'm like rambling cuz no show sheet.
10:50This is just vibes from me. Um, Marshon Lloyd was like the coolest high school story to the NFL. So, the guy is from
11:00Middletown, Delaware. Okay. Star like youth running back in Middletown, Delaware. Ends up going to Damatha in Hyetszville, Maryland for high school
11:12and commutes. So, you're talking about 200 plus miles every single day. And if you know high school football like Damatha the last 30 years like I mean
11:22the big time program big time program in the WCAC in the DMV. Um and Marshon Lloyd's playing like against like Caleb
11:30Williams at Gonzaga playing alongside like a bunch of of like D1 guys. It's like big-time high school football. So you understand why he went there. Guys
11:38go out of town for high school football all the time now. It's not like some huge shock. But usually it's, you know,
11:44going to like a boarding school or something like that. This this guy commuted from Middletown, Delaware to Hyetszville, Maryland every single day.
11:52Then ended up at South Carolina, then ended up at USC, played alongside Caleb Williams, had that one big year there, and then was a third round pick, Senior
12:00Bowl standout. So, off of Marshon, Marshon is is the is the big winner here. Okay. So, then we'll look at the
12:07other Green Bay uh players. Obviously, they're all winners here because the offense Laflur had a way of utilizing Jacobs,
12:16which was this incredibly volumedriven role that if anything potentially slowed down the passing game, they're going to have to open things up a little bit in
12:26terms of the passing game. If Tucker Craft is out there, I think that the role looking like it was last year, if
12:32Tucker Craft is healthy, he's got that pathway. Now, the team added Janu Smith last week. Uh, Jonnu is obviously a backup here. Probably more of a Luke
12:41Musgrave replacement, but also like I think stylistically if Tucker Craft had reagggravation, Janu could go in there and do some things. Um, but Tucker Craft
12:50sort of settles in where he's at. I don't think it's a reason to like drive him way up in ADP, but he's got a very
12:56solid role. He averaged 14 and a half points per game last year until he got hurt, and that's in PPR, let alone tight
13:02end premium. So, um, then we've got Jaden Reed. Jaden Reed's a sneaky winner here because there was all these sort of
13:13talk about there's when they're in 12 personnel, Reed's not on the field. And I think that's true. It's Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, but Jaden Reed, the
13:23chances of them playing more 11 now with no Josh Jacobs goes way up. So, Jaden Reed's going to be on the field a lot
13:30more. There's not another wide receiver behind the trio after Golden, Watson, and Reed. Jaden Reed's going to be on the field a lot more. He's going to also
13:41have the opportunity to get the ball in his hands a lot more. If everyone remembers Jaden Reed rookie year, he was
13:47electric. And Jaden Reed also saw a boost in production and touches when Aaron Jones was injured. So, we saw it with Laflur when a running back goes
13:57down, he gets the ball in Jaden Reed's hands and Jaden Reed also uh Jaden Reed also is like this guy that they feel
14:04comfortable getting the ball around the goal line. So, Jaden Reed big winner here. Um Jaden Reed I think should move up a little bit in ADP. And I actually
14:12have to go back and update cuz I did my running back updates as soon as this happened because I want my Roto Wire
14:17subscribers to my content to be completely locked in if they're drafting like tonight. But I got to go boost Jaden Reed up a little bit. Um, Jaden
14:25Reed I think has a chance and people hate this one. They hate when I say this. They say, "Yo, man, he's not built
14:31like this." But Jaden Reed getting some Debo like touches. Not not the same as Debo, not San Francisco Debo, but some
14:38of those Debo-like touches where he gets the ball around his hands around the line of scrimmage like sort of an extension of the run game and the
14:45opportunity for manufactured rush attempts. That's there now for Jaden Reed a little bit more than it was certainly with Jacobs out there. Then
14:53obviously the idea of Christian Watson being a major part of this offense, that narrative has to get up here because Christian Watson is already going pretty
15:02highly in drafts. Christian Watson like as an offensive focal point is going to be there. Um, and big shout out in to
15:09Uncle Ted in the in the chat asking me a question live chat here. Um, Jaden Reed or or Romeo Dubs? I'm I'm taking Jaden
15:17Reed headtohead in ADP all day long right there. Uh, another question we have, should I trade Marshon Lloyd and Travis Kelce to get Sam Laaporta?
15:27Is this Dynasty or are we talking reed draft here? Let me know and I'll get to your question. Uh, somebody else is
15:32flexing their Marshon Lloyd exposure on underdog. Um, it's you're light. You're light, but you got 15% and some people don't have much of any. So, getting back
15:42to Green Bay, Christian Watson offensive focal point narrative is there and I think we're going to see it from the jump. They're going to take shots
15:50downfield to him. And when with Christian Watson, we know they're going to try to get the ball to him in the end
15:55zone that we know they're going to try to get the ball over the top. But I think that there's a pathway to
15:59Christian Watson having a really strong year here. We've heard beat reporters talking about how they are trying to get him the ball in in like easy button
16:09touches, some like uh just get the ball in his hands types like smoke and those kind of routes. And I think we could see
16:16that. We've never seen Christian Watson with a 20% target share. I think this year now that we have these commissioners exempt and Jacobs won't be
16:27there uh at least for a considerable portion to start the year. Watson being like a 21% target share guy. Uh that
16:34that pathway could be there. Then we get to uh Matthew Golden. Golden nothing really changes. Golden is sort of uh going to be an every down wide receiver.
16:45I I like all of these Green Bay wide receivers at cost, but I think for me, Watson moves up, Reed moves up, Golden I
16:52was already sort of ahead of of of consensus there. And then Jordan Love, Jordan Love is like free in all these
16:58leagues. He's a really fun theoretical play here because we saw it his first year where he was like a top five, top
17:05six quarterback scorer. We remember how electric Jordan Love was. Go back in time. Green Bay on the road in Dallas in
17:14the NFL playoffs. Jordan Love's first year as starter and they they tore it up. They went into Dallas, they won.
17:20Then they had San Francisco on the ropes, lost that game. But Jordan Love that season was like a top six scorer
17:28and Jordan Love is now free. I think Jordan Love is he he's like a great quarterback two target for you if you're
17:33in leagues that can support two quarterbacks. Uh Jordan Love is a obviously if you play Superflex, he's a fantastic target. But if you are in
17:41leagues that are deep like I play in, um I have a bunch of Jordan Love as like my QB2 already. I'm feeling really good
17:48about about those bags being packed. Um I'm seeing somebody in the in the chat here saying Marshon Lloyd should be running back 35. No, I mean Marshon
17:57Lloyd should be way way way higher than that. I'm going to have Marshon Lloyd way way way higher than that. Marshon
18:02Lloyd should be treated like a running back too right now. in and you're talking about head-to-head ADP debates.
18:08Start talking about where Marshon Lloyd should be drafted.
18:12Marshon Lloyd's very much in the dead zone and he's a really really live pick in that dead zone right now. Start going
18:17headto-head against a bunch of these guys. Like I said in this one, somebody's saying top 15. I I think running back 18 could be the run out.
18:25like and I'm again we're talking semantics here but Marshon Lloyd I think is going to be somewhere in that running back 15 to 18 range in terms of overall
18:36scoring with room for higher than that and the the again want to reiterate this stat Matt Laflur offenses have supported a top 12 running back scorer in points
18:48per game in six of the last seven years and Lloyd has the the key key role right now in the Green Bay offense. So, I
18:56moved Marshon Lloyd way, way up. You can go check out uh top and this this one top 20 for sure 100%. That's sort of
19:03where I'm at here, 100%. um where he should be going in drafts. I mean, you start going down the list, we're already
19:10having sort of like mental gymnastics about these running backs. When you get down to the Jadarian Price, Quinn Sean Judkins, Bachel Tutin, Bucky Irving, Cam
19:20Scataboo, David Montgomery, Jonathan Brooks tier, Raandre Stevenson very much in that tier right now. I think Marshon is in the mix with those guys and I'm
19:30still shaking it out on my own. But you talk about the the offense is not going to go to zero here. Marshon's going to
19:36be in a good offense. I understand there's some offensive line issues in Green Bay, but it's not like a completely dead offensive line. I think
19:43you need to be enthusiastically drafting Marshon Lloyd and I think a lot of sites are not going to move him up enough. Um
19:51I talked about this a moment ago. Got a question in here with Tucker Craft.
19:54Tucker Craft is locked in. Tucker Craft where he's going about makes sense. We still have the potential for injury reagravation with him, but he's a yak
20:03god and getting the ball in his hands, I think, is going to be a big part of the offense. So, the great thing about Green
20:09Bay is when you draft Tucker Craft, Christian Watson, Jaden Reed, and for that matter, Matthew Golden, who there's a lot of haters out there that can't see
20:18a pathway for Golden. There's contingent upside with all four of them because if one of them goes down, it's not like in
20:27years past where you had guys like Romeo Dobs and and Dantavian Wixs. Savon Williams would be the next wide receiver in. Then you get uh you get the Janu
20:37Smith as sort of the backup tight end.
20:40Um where you know he's older. We can't expect a whole lot of Ju Smith. So contingent upside is there for all four
20:46of those receivers, Craft and the three wide receivers. So I I think you should be moving multiple guys up in Green Bay
20:54and making the Green Bay uh receivers. I want to walk out of every draft with a Green Bay uh receiver. You don't need to
21:02reach. And this can go applies to baseball as well. I want access to this one. But Marshon Lloyd is today's biggest winner. I I broke down Jaden
21:10Reed. Broke down Christian Watson. Um and then again, the way I'm treating Caleb Johnson and and Chris Brooks. This is take a couple shots. Go for it. Um
21:20but it's not something I want to really push up. Those guys are battling each other for the backup job. This is
21:25Marshon Lloyd's job. And that's sort of where I had him here. And um Marshon Lloyd, people talking about the talent and skill level of Lloyd. A lot of it's
21:35theoretical, but this is the player that the team spent a third round pick on, and he's been with the organization for
21:40two plus years, and they are very excited to get him out on the field, and the vibes were terrific this off season.
21:47I think Jordan Love called him like the like uh I forgot the nickname, but it was a really good one. Um, and then we
21:53saw so many good uh reports from the beat reporters from all the players there and how the team has like sort of
22:00a pathway for Marshon Lloyd to be really really fantasy relevant. So, uh, Michael Lbin in the chat. Good news for Christian Watson. I talked about

22:44We're making things happen here at Roto Wire. Um, again, quick breakdown of everything we talked about. Marshon Lloyd goes way, way, way, way up. Uh, he
22:54moves up. I already had him at pick around 100 in my reddraft PPR rankings.
22:58So, we were already ahead of him on my rankings at Rotoire considerably versus where he was going in some of these
23:04drafts. He's going to move way way up.
23:06He's the biggest winner. The biggest loser is obviously Josh Jacobs. I'm saying round 12 to 14 if you want to take shots on Jacobs. But if you want to
23:15not take any risk, ignore him because this is a really bad situation because it's exempt list. Uh right after we get
23:24the misdemeanor charges, we get the exempt list. There's video. No one's seen the video and his trial is not till November. So, it's not like Marshon's
23:34going to get a chance to have his day in court anytime soon. and sort of or excuse me, Josh Jacobs is not going to
23:40have a chance to have his day in court um until November. So really, I don't see a positive situation here for Jacobs
23:47in any way of some sort of saving grace.
23:50Now, maybe I'm misreading this. I'm certainly not a legal expert, but November trial video, exemplice 2 days or 3 days after misdemeanor charges, and
24:00the team acquires another running back.
24:02So, Jacob's a big loser. Lloyd's a winner. Christian Watson's a winner.
24:07Jaden Reed a potential darkhorse big winner here. Matthew Golden sort of stays the same. And we feel very good about where Tucker Craft is. And I see
24:17people in the chat saying this one. Ray Rice. They're throwing the name Ray Rice out. We don't know what the video is. We
24:23don't know how it's going to be, but commissioner's exempt list meaning Josh Jacobs will not not count towards the 53 and Josh Jacobs will not be there. I
24:35mean, and really could be there, not be there all year. That's one outcome that could come from this one. Josh Jacobs
24:40might not play a single snap this year.
24:42And then you start talking about long-term for Jacobs. Um, could be done.
24:48I mean, let's we we know that this has happened before in the NFL with the Ray Rice situation. And so like uh we don't
24:54want to speculate, but I think we need to think shortterm more than anything.
24:58And short-term, go get yourself some Marshon Lloyd. Marshon Lloyd the huge winner today. Um and pretty much anything else. I'm going to take a
25:07couple of quick questions since we're live here and so many people uh uh tuned in. Um and some people talking about
25:14Caleb Johnson. Like Caleb Johnson was awesome at at Iowa. Like really really good player. uh really really productive at Iowa and the usage was incredible.
25:24But you've had two you've had two coaching staffs passing on Josh Jacobs.
25:30Mike Tomlin, they drafted in the third round and he did nothing. Literally zero last year with Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith. Then Mike McCarthy shows up and
25:40this new coaching staff can't break in with them as well. So two coaching staffs and he's gone there. Um do we
25:47move up Love at all? Yeah, Jordan Love definitely a winner today. Um, I'm going to move up Love because I think the
25:53team's going to be more pass happy.
25:55Question in the chat, Marshon Lloyd or Mike Washington to pick up Marshon Lloyd over Mike Washington for sure. And the November trial date, this is being
26:04reported. This is not like my speculation. Uh, the bunch of these places have sort of reported on a November trial date for for Jacobs. I
26:12will I will double check that one. And if I'm wrong on that one, let me know. I somebody said they just got uh offered
26:18Christian Christian Chris Rodriguez for Josh Jacobs. Hey, that's uh probably taking the the Rodriguez side there myself because I I know he's got a at
26:28least he's there and it's a good offense and all that kind of stuff. Jacobs, I I don't know. This is a really really uh
26:35crazy situation. So, sorry to be a little bit unorganized here, guys, but I had no time to prep for this one. Quick
26:42cliff notes. Jacob's big loser. Marshon Lloyd, huge winner. Elevate the Green Bay passing game. Jordan Love moves up a little bit, but really it's Christian
26:54Watson has a chance to be the offensive focal point. Jaden Reed getting those manufactured looks we saw in his rookie season when he was awesome and Aaron
27:05Jones went down and they gave him more manufactured touches around the line of scrimmage, including some uh rush attempts. Jaden Reed moves up. Also, the
27:14team's going to be in 11 personnel more and Jaden Reed is going to be on the field in 11. We know they don't play him
27:21in 12 unless something changes. Matthew Golden stays about the same. And if Tucker Craft is healthy, Tucker Tucker Craft could end up being a major value
