Alvin Kamara

PositiveUsage27:47

Out-touched Travis Etienne 14-10 in his first game back from injury, establishing clear backfield dominance. The Saints offense has scored well in back-to-back weeks (54 total points through two games), providing a strong offensive context for Kamara's touches.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveUsage9:56

Amon-Ra St. Brown finished as WR2 overall in Week 2 with 9 catches, 142 yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns on 13 targets. He leads the entire NFL in targets through two weeks with 'absolute target monster' status. The source emphasizes that St. Brown absolutely crushed it and would have been WR1 overall in 90-98% of other weeks but finished WR2 due to another elite receiver's performance. Detroit's aggressive offense and poor defense create advantageous game scripts that benefit St. Brown's target volume and scoring.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeValue15:22

Brock Bowers is the source's top tight end option behind only Trey McBride. Expected return Week 3 from injury, though long-term health clarity is lacking. The source would take Bowers over most other tight ends, citing the quality of the Raiders offense as supporting his upside despite the injury concern.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveValue0:14

Young delivered on the source's bold pregame prediction to finish as a top-6 QB scorer in Week 2, validating the call. He was the source's number-one add recommendation on RotoWire and the Waverwire show last week, and the source took heat for it but is now validating the recommendation after Young achieved a QB1 finish in Week 2. Young has posted back-to-back top-five weeks and is part of a Carolina offense that is top-three in scoring. He went toe-to-toe with Caleb Williams in Week 1 production and performed even better in Week 2, suggesting people may have dismissed Week 1 as a one-off aberration. Young is the best replacement option in most leagues for both Caleb Williams and Jaden Daniels. The source notes a historical trend where highly drafted QBs with slow starts or choppy years have a QB1 finish, and Young is fitting that pattern. The source credits his comfort level to target consolidation with Teddy McMillan and Jaylen Coker (50% combined target share Week 1, 59% Week 2) and Dave Canales' play-calling. Positive vibes heading into Week 3 road matchup against Cleveland, with potential for another high-scoring game in Week 4 vs. Detroit.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeInjury0:31

Williams suffered a Grade 1-2 hamstring injury in Week 2 and was carted off the field; latest reports suggest 2-3 weeks recovery timeline, though clarity expected throughout the week. This is a major blow to the Chicago Bears offense after 59 points in Week 1. The source is monitoring the Caleb Williams timeline for injury clarity and notes that the Chicago offense is a major concern heading forward, with tough sailing for the offense and lowered expectations for Chicago skill players until seeing elite usage.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection19:47

Called 'this year's version of JSN' pre-draft with obscenely good win rates out of round three where he was going most of the summer. Through two weeks: 23 targets (2nd in NFL), 31% target share Week 2, 26% target share Week 1; 180 yards Week 1, 86 yards and 1 TD Week 2. Continues to shine despite Saints' losses.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveUsage34:29

Dominating usage in Carolina's backfield; the source notes he needs to be boosted up in rankings given his workload dominance. He is an upgrade candidate in the improving Carolina Panthers offense, which is showing big-time signs of life with strong defensive performance and offensive production.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeBust0:58

Loveland has had the worst possible start through 2 weeks after being drafted as a league-winner tight end candidate. He had 15 targets in the playoff win over Green Bay last year and was expected to break out in Year 2, but the offense has sputtered and he's been a major letdown. This was supposed to be the bounceback week, but the Chicago offense sputtered again; weather was a factor, but results matter in fantasy. Fantasy managers who drafted Loveland are hurting, especially those who started him in Week 1. Unlike historical precedent (DeVonta Smith had a zero-point Week 1 in a prior season and then ripped off consecutive good games), the squeaky-wheel narrative (coaches emphasizing a star player after poor production) hasn't materialized for Loveland. The source is done hyping Loveland until seeing actual production.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveBreakout12:03

Dalton Kincaid is a year-four breakout candidate following the Travis Kelce model; Kelce had his first 15+ PPG season in year four, and Kincaid is now in year four and 'looks unbelievable.' The Bills drafted him in 2023 first round to replicate Kelce's impact after Kelce torched them in consecutive playoff games. Through two weeks: 5 catches, 130 yards on 6 targets in Week 1 (historically best Bills tight end performance in ~50 years) and 7 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD on 8 targets in Week 2. Kincaid is 'completely locked in' with Josh Allen and forms a league-winning stack candidate.

Insight page

Darren Waller

PositiveRole34:05

Emerging as a real red zone threat in Carolina's offense; caught a touchdown from Bryce Young in Week 2 after showing similar upside last year with Miami. The source identifies him as a touchdown-dependent play at tight end but with legitimate upside in the consolidated Carolina target tree.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout35:40

Heating up back-to-back weeks with 5 catches for 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 2, including 3 first-down catches. The source signals this as evidence of emergence in the Carolina offense, suggesting sustained upside moving forward.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveUsage30:08

Wilson had a strong Week 2 performance with 92 rushing yards, showing productive backfield usage.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeInjury28:48

Injured again, continuing a pattern of recurring injury concerns that affect backfield usage and reliability. The source notes Dobbins is 'always banged up' and now banged up again, creating opportunity for backup options.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeInjury30:07

Price exited Week 2 with a chest injury, impacting Carolina's backfield depth.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveUsage33:20

Coker had a smash Week 1 performance and continued strong production in Week 2 with eight catches for 68 yards as part of a consolidated target share with Tedell McMillan in Carolina's offense under Dave Canales; the two combined for a 50% target share in Week 1 and a 59% combined target share by Week 2, indicating sustained volume and opportunity.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection9:27

Jared Goff finished as QB2 overall in Week 2 with 327 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. The source credits garbage-time production (hitting Amon-Ra St. Brown for a late touchdown) as a key factor. Detroit's aggressive offense combined with a poor defense creates advantageous game scripts and clock situations, allowing Goff to accumulate fantasy points even in blowouts. Back-to-back weeks of Detroit scoring 31 points while their defense allows teams to move the ball in the passing game fuels Goff's fantasy value.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeInjury6:33

Jaden Daniels suffered an elbow injury with significant lack of clarity on severity or timeline. The source notes Daniels has a history of missing time with injuries. Tom Brady cursed the injury on air and was apologetic about it, describing the elbow injury as looking really bad. This is a major injury to monitor for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveProjection26:26

Bounced back decisively in Week 2 after a disastrous Week 1 (1 catch, 2 yards) with 10 targets, 8 catches, and 138 yards in a Denver win. The source credits the Week 1 struggles to poor blocking and Bo Nix's performance, not Waddle's talent. Given the Broncos' massive draft capital investment (first, third, and fourth-round picks), the source now recommends viewing Waddle as a top-15 wide receiver moving forward.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveBreakout28:48

Coleman appears positioned for a potential takeover opportunity in Denver's backfield due to injuries to both JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Week 2 was a perfect opportunity for him given the backfield injuries and Denver's win; he scored a rushing touchdown, displayed veteran presence and smart decision-making (going down to kill clock rather than risking out-of-bounds tackle), with three catches for 19 yards and 10 carries for 39 yards.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeInjury30:00

Brooks is banged up, which impacts Carolina's backfield and benefits Chuba Hubbard's usage.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection23:28

Massive disappointment through two weeks despite pre-season MVP candidate talk. Week 2 was awful against Raiders with 192 passing yards and 2 INTs. Season totals: 2 TDs, 3 INTs; only 31 rushing yards through 2 weeks with no mobile QB upside materializing. Two games with sub-210 passing yards and two games with at least one interception. Drafted highly in many formats but has underperformed; some potential garbage-time opportunity in Week 3 against Buffalo, but source expects Chargers to be 0-3 given Bills' strength.

Insight page

Kalif Raymond

NegativeUsage0:24

Raymond led the Chicago WR room in Week 2 with 5 catches for 40 yards in a low-scoring game (9 PPR points), showing consistent target volume despite the Bears' offensive struggles.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeBust0:58

Burden was a bold prediction pick to smash in Week 2 but delivered only 7 targets, 3 catches, and 32 yards—a major disappointment after offseason hype. The source had specifically called for a smash week from the young WR. The source is lowering expectations for Chicago skill players overall until seeing elite usage from Burden.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveValue6:58

Marcus Mariota is recommended as an add in Superflex leagues as a replacement for the injured Jaden Daniels. The source specifically targets Superflex managers with this recommendation.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeBust27:47

Looks like a bust after being out-touched by Alvin Kamara 14-10 in Kamara's first game back. Etienne's Week 1 performance was artificially boosted by high pass volume and TD vulturing by Kendra Miller on short-yardage plays, masking an ugly underlying game. Week 2 serves as confirmation of the Week 1 warning signal, establishing Etienne as a committee back the source cannot trust.

0:07Top 10 fantasy football takeaways from week two of the season. I'm Theo Greinger right here on Rotowire. We're talking about week two. This was a wild
0:17one. We we were getting after it. Uh this was like a a day where there were some shocking shocking injuries.
0:25It was really sort of a roll with the punches type day and really a wide receiverheavy scoring day. I think when
0:30we go back certainly I'm recording this before Sunday Night Football. I'm recording this before Monday Night Football. Obviously there's a bunch of
0:38players who are set to play, but people waiting for like a Bejian Robinson smash week, especially a lot of DFS players.
0:45Big letdown there. This was a wide receiver week. This was like a a week where multiple wide receivers smashed.
0:51And there's so many wide receivers that I could have talked about today. I mean, I don't even have a takeaway on on CD
0:58Lamb other than he's really really good.
1:00He didn't even make the top 10 here.
1:02Devonte Smith, I don't really have much to say. Jamar Chase had two touchdown catches, but there's so much for me to
1:07unpack here and we got to do it before the start of Sunday Night Football. So, starting off right at the top, we talked
1:14about the shocking injuries. Talk about the shocking game flow. The Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. This was supposed to be a high-scoring game. It
1:23was anything but. 93 finish for the Minnesota Vikings. Vikings moved to 2 and 0. The story of the day is Caleb
1:31Williams. How gets carted off the field.
1:35This looked like this was going to be something catastrophic, but in fact, it turned out that the latest reports are that
1:45it's not that big a deal. It's a couple weeks now. I'm sure we're going to get a more clarity when we get throughout the
1:53week, but right now it's looking as a grade one or a grain grade two hamstring uh hamstring uh issue. So, we see guys
2:03like Ian Rapaort sort of talking this one down. Couple of Chicago Beat reporters are saying potentially three weeks. Three weeks is is the is what
2:13people are saying, but again, I hate reporting on injuries right when they happen. I think we'll get more clarity throughout the week. I think the number
2:19one takeaway here is the Chicago Bears are not unflapable. It's not something like the 59 points scored in week one. I
2:27mean, things like weather, things like injuries, and things just like poor performances are going to come into play. one signal for all of you and I'm
2:35going to cover the waiverwire uh this week right here on RotoWire podcast and YouTube but one player I'll be talking about in the waiverwire column uh
2:43spoiler alert Tyson Badant where I think if they have a week to prepare for Tyson Badant he's going to be a must add
2:50player in superflex leagues for sure but we got to not only talk about Caleb Williams we've got to talk about the
2:58major issues with some of these Chicago Bears skill position players and We could talk about Luther Burton. Luther Burden was super disappointing. Three
3:07catches for 32 yards. I thought this was going to be a Luther Burton week. I did the bold prediction show with Jacob
3:14Gibbs. I had some good stuff in there. I said that Bryce Young was going to be a top six QB scorer. He's right there
3:20right now. But I did say that Luther Burton was going to have a smash week.
3:24Anything but seven targets for three catches and 32 yards. Khalif Raymond again leads the wide receiver room and Raymond didn't really do much but he had
3:34five catches for 40 yards. Uh that's consistent from Khif Raymond and in a game where there was no scoring whatsoever. Nine PPR points I guess
3:43you'll you'll pocket that one. If you had Khalif Raymond in some sort of a baseball format you're sort of taking taking the points there. Roma Dunay
3:51nothing for him either. But Burton was the hype guy and I wasn't without hyping Luther Burden. I think a lot of people
3:58were on Luther Burton this off season, but it's been really disappointing. But Luther Burton's stats look incredible versus Coloulston Lovelins. Coloulston
4:08Lovelin's right now, I mean, this is the worst possible start. It's an unimaginable start for Coloulston Lovelin. Coloulston Lovelin, it's unimaginable.
4:19Like, when we were drafting Coulson Lovelin in FFPC leagues, it was a guy that never left the end of the second
4:25round. You're talking about a player who had 15 targets in the win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFL playoffs last
4:32year in the wild card round. 15 targets and he had the massive smash weeks all down the stretch with double- digit
4:38targets every week. This was supposed to be like the year 2 breakout, the the league winner at the tight end position.
4:45And it's been such a let down through two weeks. Now, could things turn around? Potentially, but I'm sort of done hyping Coloulston Lovelin until we
4:54see anything. This was supposed to be the bounceback week and again the offense sputtered. The weather was not helpful. There was like a lot of things
5:01here that could have gone differently for Coloulston Lovelin. But hey, we're we're in a results business. We're not in a process business. We are in a
5:09results business. And the fantasy managers who drafted Coloulston Lovelin, we are hurting right now. If we had him in our lineup week one, and we are
5:18hurting almost even more. This is almost more disappointing than the goose egg.
5:22Zero points in week one. We've seen this happen in his in seasons historically where a guy comes off and has a really
5:29bad week one and then bounces back. I remember years ago it was Devont Smith had like a zero pointer in week one and
5:36then ripped off all these good games.
5:38But there's always like a squeaky wheel gets the grease narrative in the NFL. If a guy who's a fantasy star or a skill
5:45position star, if we want to take fantasy out of the equation, when that player doesn't do anything, usually the next week you see the coaches like
5:53trying to emphasize getting that player the ball. Not happening with Coulson Lovelin. Not this week. We'll see if it happens next week, but major issues in
6:02Chicago. We'll have more information all week long right here on Rotoire on the Caleb Williams timeline. If you're in a in a league, especially Superflex, go
6:12ahead and add Tyson Badant. And we are going to lower our expectations moving forward. Until we see elite usage from Luther Burton and until we see any sort
6:23of usage from Coloulston Lovelin, we have got to lower our expectations a little bit. It's it's it's tough sailing uh these days. Continuing the
6:33conversation, not the only major issue injury to follow. Jaden Daniels, an elbow injury. We have a lack of clarity with this one, but I mean, this was Tom
6:44Brady cursed on air like live and he was like apologetic about it, but it was one of those things like Jaden Daniels.
6:50You've seen him get injured before some miss time last year and now an elbow injury for Jaden Daniels. This one is
6:58tough and we don't have any clarity on this one. When it comes to Jaden Daniels, this is another injury we're going to have to monitor. Marcus Mariota
7:05for superflex managers. This is one where if you're in a superflex league, we are going to add Marcus Mariota in superflex. In single QB, it's we're
7:17going to look to pivot off if you had Jaden Daniels. Hopefully, we can do better. And I hope a lot of you were
7:23listening to me last week. I don't mean to like toot my own horn, but I took some heat on this one. And when I take
7:28heat on these things, I like to kind kind of push back when I get a win. I'll own my L's. But Bryce Young, I hope you
7:35added Bryce Young last week. That was my number one ad both on Roto Wire in the the Waverwire column and right here on
7:41the Waverwire show. I talked about Bryce Young. And I talked about like the trend in the NFL where every single year for a
7:49several year period, we've had a highly drafted quarterback. Bryce Young, former number one overall pick. We've had a highly drafted quarterback who's been
7:58like a slow start to his career kind of guy or maybe a couple of choppy years here and there, have a QB1 finish. Well,
8:05right now Bryce Young's looking like that. So, little more on the Carolina Panthers later, but I think that's your emergency ad if you're a in a lot of
8:13leagues that don't follow Rotoire or maybe you missed the show last week or maybe you said Theo, you're just you're ridiculous. I'm not adding Bryce Young.
8:19It was one week. Bryce Young is probably your best replacement in most leagues for uh for both Caleb Williams and Jaden
8:27Daniels. So, we'll see if we get some Jaden Daniels clarity, but it looked really, really bad out there for Jaden Daniels. Hate to speculate. I'm
8:35recording this again on Sunday evening.
8:38And yes, shout out to Uncle Ted. We're here for it. Bryce Young bowled out.
8:42We're going to talk about Carolina in a little bit, but Jaden Daniels major looking injury. Let's talk about a team who might be the perfect team for
8:51fantasy football. It's a perfect storm for us in fantasy football when we get an aggressive offense that has a poor
9:01defense associated with it. We saw it last week with the Detroit Lions who win 31-30, end up uh holding off the Saints on the
9:10two-point conversion in overtime to move to 1-0. And then they start off Thursday night getting steamrolled by the Buffalo Bills. But they get steamrolled and they
9:21still score 31 points. So back-to-back weeks with Detroit scoring 31 points and their defense letting up a ton of points. So you've got the factor where
9:32Detroit can't stop anybody and Detroit is letting teams score, move the ball on them in the passing game. So, we're getting advantageous clocks and we're
9:42getting this ridiculous scoring from Detroit. So, you look at Jared Goff.
9:46Jared Goff, I mean, garbage time king for us, hitting Ammon Rosane Brown for that late touchdown. I mean, we love that stuff. Go ahead, Jared Goff. QB2
9:56overall in the week heading into Sunday night. Jared Goff, 327 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. Then you've got Aman Ross St. Brown year of the sun god
10:07wide receiver two overall on the week right now and almost any other week like almost any other week like 90 98% of the
10:16time uh this would have been a wide receiver one overall finish for uh for our guy the sun god I mean he absolutely
10:23crushed it but there happens to be another wide receiver we're going to talk about in a second then you got Sam
10:28Leaporta so Aman Raw just a quick shout on Raw ends up with nine catches, 142 yards, two receiving touchdowns, 13
10:40targets. I mean, he is a target magnet.
10:42Aman Raw has more targets than anyone in the NFL through two weeks. And that's going to hold up through Sunday Night
10:48Football, excuse me, through Monday Night Football. Ammon Raw is just an absolute target monster. And then Sam Leaporta, a really solid game for him as
10:56well. If you play tight end premium formats, you got a 20pointer out of Sam Leaporta. Uh, Leaporta ended up really solid week. But the the story has to be
11:06Jir Gibbs. Jir Gibbs 23 points scored in week two after 33 in week one. And he's he's so much better right now as a
11:16fantasy asset than Bejian Robinson. 53 more rushing yards than Bejon through two weeks. Disappointing week for Bejon.
11:23Obviously the quarterback issues in Atlanta. Bejian's an elite talent, but we talk about offensive situations and Jir Gibbs in the best spot. The only uh
11:32lion that's not firing up is Jameson Williams. Slow, slow start to the year for him. We'll see if he can't turn
11:38things around, but Detroit is a perfect storm for us in fantasy. Terrible, terrible defense, elite elite offense.
11:47We absolutely love this sort of team. Uh you drafted Lions early and I think you're going to get rewarded with them.
11:53talking about the best stack, the best correlation play. When we look at fantasy football, all offseason long,
12:03you see uh content creators doing best stack, best correlation play, who is the stack that I should target? And really, it was hiding in plain sight for us all
12:14offseason long. And it was the QB1 overall. It was it was Josh Allen and Daltton Concaid. It was just staring right at us. And the the Allen part we
12:25should have gotten. It should have been more exposure to Allen. And I have some Josh Allen. I have a lot of Josh Allen
12:30in dynasty leagues over the years. I've accumulated, but in reddraft I should have had much much more because when we say QB1 overall, I had this conversation
12:39with a couple really sharp people during reddraft season was like QB1 overall, but he's not going until the fourth round in NFC, fifth round in FFPC. Well,
12:50Josh Allen is an absolute machine right now. The Bills score 41 points. And Josh Allen, he had four touchdowns and a and
12:59a QB2 overall finish in week one. Now five touchdowns and a and a QB1 overall finish. Excuse me. QB2 overall in week
13:08one. And now he's got five touchdowns heading into Sunday Night Football.
13:12Looks like it's going to be the QB1 overall. And in a lot of leagues, he's like at like 45 points right now. So
13:18Josh Allen, absolute killer. Then you look at Daltton King and it was five catches for 130 yards on six targets in
13:26week one. We talked about him as a trade target. We've talked about just how great this this performance was historically. This was like the best
13:34Bills tight end performance in like 50 years or something like that. Like they've had no tight ends getting this sort of receiving production, 130 yards.
13:43And then it was even better against Detroit in week two. seven catches for 95 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. And you look at like the
13:52history of Daltton King, how this is like started to be. Daltton Concincaid uh 2021, the Buffalo Bills lose to the Kansas
14:01City Chiefs in the playoffs. 2022, the Buffalo Bills lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game. I might
14:08have had that flipped around. AFC title game might have been tw I think it's 2022 was the AFC title game. Okay, so
14:13then you get to the 2023 NFL draft.
14:16And you've got the Buffalo Bills OTC at the end of the first round. That was a big tight end heavy draft. There was a
14:23lot of tight ends that year. Michael Mayer, Tucker Craft, Sam Laaporta.
14:28Buffalo takes Daltton Concaid at the end of the first round. So they take like the why did they do it that year? And
14:35some people said, you know, they were looking for a scope position player to add to that team, but it was really who
14:40was killing them in those playoff games.
14:42Travis Kelce ripped the the Bills to shred in both of those playoff games.
14:47Ripped him to shreds. So they chase this Travis Kelce narrative with with Dalton King Kaid, end up drafting him. Now it's
14:53been a slow drip, but here we are, year four, Daltton King, and he looks unbelievable. And then you look at the
15:00parallels between him and Travis Kelce.
15:02was like the team emulated the Travis Kelce model in the NFL draft. Tried to get Josh Allen, his Travis Kelce, when
15:10they see Patrick Mahomes killing them with Travis Kelce on those Kansas City Chiefs teams. Travis Kelce had his first 15 plus point per game season in year
15:19four. Daltton Concincaid's in year four.
15:22I wouldn't be shocked. Besides Trey McBride, is there another tight end you'd rather have in fantasy football right now? Now, Brock Bowers is my guy.
15:30I'd take Brock Bowers. But besides those two guys, is there anybody you'd rather have? And really, with the quality of the offense and the lack of clarity on
15:39Brock Bower's long-term health, I mean, he should be back soon. Uh, sounds like week three, but right now, Daltton Concaid completely locked in. So, you've
15:47got the Josh Allen, Daltton Concincaid, that might be the league winning stack right here. And Josh Allen will be drafted higher next year than he was
15:56this year. fourth and fifth round and QB1 overall off the board. A lot of people are saying a lot of people are
16:03saying at the time wait on quarterback.
16:05Well, waiting on quarterback is waiting on quarterback there. Um, a lot of people in the chat and I wish I could
16:11get to it, guys, but we got to try to end this because people are going to watch Sunday Night Football, but the
16:15chat is very active. If you're not subscribed to the YouTube channel, go ahead and hit that subscribe button. Hit the like button if you're enjoying the
16:22show. Dropping shows all week here right here on Rotoire. Continuing the takeaways here, we talked about the league winning stack. Let's talk about
16:31the league winner period. And it might be Jackson Smith and Jigba. And this is another player who was sort of disrespected
16:39during the reddraft season. And not like a crazy disrespect. He wasn't falling out of the first round, but there were plenty of drafts where JSN fell to like
16:49the 110, the 109. A lot of times it was like JSN right around like the 106, the 107. It would be JSN and Aman Ross St.
16:59Brown sort of side by side with Christian McCaffrey. But there were oneoff leagues and some big ones. If you recall that $100,000 entry league, I
17:08believe in that league JSN fell all the way down to the 111 after Justin Jefferson. Um I think he was the the
17:1511th overall pick in that league. Either the 10th or the 11th overall pick. I mean, in retrospect, the the fade on JSN
17:22was ridiculous. And we go back to last year. Last year, there were people fading JSN because he was losing the slot usage. The expanded usage on the
17:31outside, people were actually fading him because of Cooper Cup. I remember I was in a a Vegas main event draft and I took
17:38JSN at 25 overall in a Vegas main event right before the start of last season.
17:43The manager right behind me was like snickering. Thought it was goofy. Goes up and takes Lad Maki. next pick like one of those auto snap picks like no
17:51thought I'm taking lad thanks Theo JSN ends up smashing last year and then this year the enthusiasm wasn't high enough for JSN because people were worried
17:59about the loss of Clint Kubak. Well JSN is quarterback proof. JSN is is offensive coordinator proof and you're looking at really one of the best skill
18:10position players in football period. He looks unbelievable. And Drew Lockach is is completely locked in. It's tunnel vision right now for JSN. You see this
18:19with starting quarterbacks. JSN was already like top of the food chain when it comes to first read rate, when it comes to target share, all that good
18:27stuff. But the backup quarterback usually like knows how the bread is buttered. A backup quarterback's not going to be like, you know, I'm going to
18:33spread it around. I'm going to open guys up. It's I'm going to lock in on the guy who's better than every defensive back
18:39and is always open and I'm going to force feed him. Force feed him over and over and over again. So JSN completely
18:46locked in. I mean, this is an unbelievable performance. We talked about how like I'm not even talking about CD Lamb's game and CD Lamb
18:53completely smashed. Probably a little disrespectful for me. I probably should have talked about how good CD Lamb looked. But we tal we mentioned Aman
19:00Ross St. Brown, how almost any other week he's the wide receiver one overall in the week. But JSN goes 8 for 122 and
19:07a touchdown in week one. has that play where he has runs away from everybody and gets that touch the long touchdown
19:14with a ton of yak. Then even better this week, nine catches, 155 yards and three touchdowns. Three touchdowns for JSN. He
19:24is a machine right now. 40 plus PPR points for JSN. I mean, you could have drafted pretty poorly, but if you
19:31drafted JSN, you're you're in the mix right now because of how good he is. And talking about a player who I was calling
19:38this year's version of JSN. Now JSN whole another level right now. Like JSN, you're feeling fantastic. But the player I was calling this year's version of
19:47JSN, like the player who's got the obsc obscenely good win rates potentially out of round three where he was going for
19:55most of the summer inside of round three. Chris Ave continues to shine. We said this was a wide receiver week. It
20:02is a wide receiver week week. It's going to continue to be a wide receiver week, but we're talking about Chris Ave just
20:08how good he was this week after his smash performance last week. So, last week he gives you the 180 yard receiving
20:16performance. This week he goes for 86 yards and a touchdown, but the Saints win and this was a a program win for
20:24Kell Moore. Kell Moore showed the team that he believed in them by going for two in a losing cause in Detroit and
20:31then goes into Baltimore. Baltimore Baltimore and Tampa Bay today. A lot of like suicide pools completely kaput because a lot of teams were on a lot of
20:42manage managers were on Baltimore. A lot of managers were on the 49ers of course, but a lot of managers were on Baltimore.
20:48A lot of managers were on Tampa Bay.
20:50Baltimore goes down. Tampa Bay goes down. But Ave continues to shine. Uh through through the first two weeks of the NFL season, Chris Ave is at 23
20:59targets, which is second in the NFL right now. He had a 31% target share today, 26% target share last week. And
21:08we'll talk about Tyler Shuck because we we talked about this on a couple shows, but you might have missed last week. So,
21:14let's go back to last season. Okay, you've got this is this is Tyler Shuck's last seven starts. And bear in mind,
21:23Tyler Shuck just almost went to Detroit and and lost by one. Today goes into Baltimore and wins. QB6 heading into
21:32Sunday Night Football. He was QB6 last week. And then when we go back to 2025,
21:38QB4, QB9, QB16, QB16, QB6, and QB12.
21:45See, the last eight times Tyler Shuck has stepped out on a football field, he's finished no lower than the QB16, and he's had way, way, way more, way,
21:54way, way more uh QB1 finishes. And uh big shout out with uh some of the other other wide receivers. Talk about I mean,
22:01Jamar Chase's catch today was unbelievable. Unbelievable stuff from Jamar Chase. I mean, it's it's a wide receiver week, and it's great to see
22:09wide receiver weeks. Year of the running back for drafters, but week two right now looking like a wide receiver week.
22:16Some strong running back performances for sure, but the wide receivers are are the ones to talk about. Continuing this conversation, we talked about
22:25disappointments. Let's talk about the the Chargers. They massive massive disappointment. uh two losses so far and the two losses are to the Arizona
22:36Cardinals and to the Las Vegas Raiders.
22:39Two of the worst teams in football last year. Two teams that were picking in the top five overall last year and and
22:46Chargers go down. They're 0 and2 right now. And there's a really shaky ground with this offense. Um, and there's not like a whole lot of like positivity in
22:57sight because next week the Chargers face off against the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo. It's looking like 0 and3 for Harbaugh and McDaniel. And McDaniel's
23:07the really disappointing one. Like we talk about last year.
23:11Last year the Chargers got off to a much better start uh to the season. We remember the Chargers beating Kansas City in week one, beating Vegas in week
23:20two, and the Chargers were off to like a red-hot start. People were talking about Justin Herbert as this like MVP candidate. Well, Herbert was awful today
23:29against the Raiders. 192 passing yards, two interceptions, and it's been really part for the course with Herbert.
23:37Herbert was drafted highly in a lot of formats, and through the first two weeks of the season, the rushing yardage is
23:44only at 31. So, anybody hoping that it would be like the mobile Justin Herbert that we saw at times last year, nothing
23:50there to sort of boost his stock, but he's at two games with sub 210 passing yards and two games with at least one
23:58interception. Two touchdown passes and three interceptions. One takeaway from today, we do get a little bit of a sigh of relief when it comes to Omari and
24:07Hampton where Omari and Hampton we thought this was going to be I mean there were people sort of like talking about how Hampton last week had only
24:14like 58% of the snaps. Hampton this week though uh really dominates touches, 25 touches. Katon Mitchell only had six touches and Hampton finds the end zone
24:26once again. So Hampton, you get a sigh of relief. But with Hampton, the whole narrative behind be with taking um with
24:34taking him at like the early second round was this offense is so good that he's going to score a million touchdowns. Now, he does have two
24:42touchdowns through two weeks, but it's not like he's getting boosted by the offensive ecosystem. He's just being boosted by kind of being Omari and
24:51Hampton. So th there's nothing good going on here. Now, is Buffalo going to give them a chance to get there on game
24:58flow? We do know with like Vegas and Arizona, there's some challenges to them, a lot of challenges with them offensively, but from a fantasy football
25:08perspective, we have a chance for a decent week three because Buffalo is going to potentially put it on the the Chargers. There's going to be a chance
25:16for Herbert to at least get some some garbage time stats there, but as a team, they're going to be 0 and three. I would
25:24be shocked if the Chargers go into Buffalo and compete with this Bills team that looks like a juggernaut right now.
25:30So, really, really uh massive stuff there. And yeah, I mean the the fumbles for for Hampton, we'll keep an eye on
25:36that, but the touch volume is something we can lean into right now on an offense that is really really struggling. And
25:43and I see Uncle Ted in the chat saying it's early. It is early, but it doesn't get much better when you go it doesn't
25:49get a better on paper start to the season than getting Vegas and Arizona and you go 0 and2 there. So, really
25:55really tough tough sledding. Uh talking about uh squeaky wheel gets the grease.
26:01We see it in the NFL all the time where a guy has like a bad week, maybe a guy complains behind closed doors. Sometimes
26:08guys complain openly openly to the media and you know it's coaches too where there's going to be like a coach taking
26:14an offensive coordinator aside and be like hey man what's going on here this is not what we're supposed to be doing
26:18here. Jaylen Wadd we know that this past offseason the Denver Broncos traded the absolute bag to get him from Miami.
26:26First round pick, third round pick, fourth round pick. Massive amount of draft capital to acquire Wadd. And then week one it was the the disaster start.
26:35One catch for two yards. They couldn't block anybody and Bo Knicks struggled and you had this really ugly opening game beatd down to the Kansas City
26:45Chiefs. Well, big program win for Denver today. They win 20-13 and you get Jaylen Wadd. You get the Jaylen Wadd game. 10 targets. He gets
26:56eight catches for 138 yards and again he does it in winning fashion. So like this was a big sigh of relief game for Jaylen
27:05Wadd. Uh, this was this was a fun one.
27:08If you drafted Jaylen Waddle, you're like, "This is why I drafted him." Sort of back into it. I think Jaylen Wadd
27:13needs to be viewed as a top 15 wide receiver moving forward. Continuing the conversation and takeaways from the week. A quick note that this show is
27:23brought to you by Better. Go check out Better. The app is awesome. Some great stuff on there. They support this show
27:30and we want to encourage you to go check them out. Really fun stuff over on Better. go check out better. Uh,
27:36continuing the conversation with these takeaways, we've got to talk about the backfield usage shifting. Couple of big shifts and narratives here. Travis ETN
27:47looks like a bust. Um, Alvin Kamara out touches him today 14-10. This was Kamar's first game of the season and Kamara out touched him. And we talked
27:57about last week on this show how Travis ETN was sort of boosted by the highle pass volume where you had a bunch of
28:06catches for ETN that sort of masked an ugly game and you had Kendra Miller scoring on those short yard score short
28:13yardage touchdown that sort of prevented like a big game from ETN. So last week ETN was like a signal that we should be
28:20a little nervous. This week is like the exclamation point on top of the signal.
28:24Maybe two exclamation points because Alvin Kamara essentially outtouched I mean he did out touch him. It's not essentially anything. I don't know how
28:33we can trust Travis ETN and you have a team that's scored well in back-to-back weeks. 54 total points on the year for
28:41the Saints and Travis ETN looks like a guy who's a committee back. Uh, another note in the backfield usage, JK Dobbins
28:49hurt and RJ Harvey missed time today and we saw Jonah Coleman and I think Jonah Coleman it looks like a potential
28:56takeover in Denver and it's the fact that they got the win and then you've got Dobbins who's always banged up now
29:05banged up again. You've got RJ Harvey missing the game already, so you know he's banged up. And then you got Jonah
29:11Coleman who it was a perfect opportunity for him this week because not only were the backs banged up, but it was the bad
29:19taste in the coaching staff's mouth from losing to Kansas City. Now you get the win against Jacksonville. Jonah Coleman gets a very important rushing touchdown.
29:29The stats are not overwhelming, but they're fine. three catches for 19 yards and 10 carries for 39 yards. It was like
29:37a little tilting to see Tyler Bedet getting like the two two catches, but Jonah Coleman looked terrific and I think also showed sort of the the
29:45veteran presence and Shawn Peyton talked about this how the guy carries himself like a veteran. The guy's got a veteran type presence and you you end up having
29:54Jonah Coleman um getting a chance at a breakaway run late and he falls down to kill more time off the clock. That's the
30:00kind of thing that you expect a rookie to do, but once in a while these rookies see green and and and daylight in front
30:07of them and they try to get more yards.
30:08Very smart for Coleman to go down and not risk getting tackled out of bounds.
30:13Definitely an interesting one there.
30:16Talking about uh other backfields, I mean, Schuba Hubard, we need to boost up a little bit. Dominating the usage in Carolina now. Jonathan Brooks banged up.
30:25You've also got to talk about Jadarien Price exiting today's game with a chest injury. Emanuel Wilson really good stuff. 92 rushing yards for Emanuel
30:35Wilson. Lot of other backfields sort of unpacking. Bashel Tutin scores a touchdown. More productive. Another note on usage uh potentially flipping
30:47the end. This was a backfield where it was like a flip-flop situation. Rashad White for the early drafters in like early July first back off the board.
30:57When we got into August, Jaka Krosky Merritt flipped the situation. Well, today we saw Rashad White outscoring
31:05Jaka Kroski Merritt 14 to 5.8 in PPR.
31:0914.3 to 5.8. And Rashad White had six catches for 40 yards and had exactly the same amount of rushing yards. So, we'll
31:18keep an eye on this Washington backfield, especially with Marcus Mariota. I wonder if they go with a little bit more Rashad White usage when
31:26it comes to Mariota with no Jaden Daniels out there. And another backfield to talk about. Well, that's pretty much it. We covered it all. Let me know in
31:34the chat if there's any other backfields we want to talk about. Uh, and then we got to talk about quick for the chat
31:40here. Besides the Buffalo Bills, who's the second highest scoring team in the NFL right now? I had to look this one up
31:46because I had to double check this one.
31:47I don't want to look like a clown. It's Carolina Panthers. Carolina Panthers are scoring. Bryce Young, we talked about him at the beginning of the show. I
31:55mean, Bryce Young, it looks awesome right now. Back-to-back top five weeks for Bryce Young. And, you know, again, I don't want to toot my own horn here, but
32:04if you follow my waiverwire advice, I mean, I've got a lot of high stakes people that follow my waiverwire advice.
32:09And over the years, a lot of NFC, a lot of FFPC drafters will say, "You saved me a little bit of fab because you're
32:15usually a couple weeks ahead on some guys." And oh, there we go. I might have I might have misspoke. Might be the number three
32:22scoring offense. Might not. But Carolina's top three scoring offense in the league right now. And Bryce Young, we talk about these
32:32waiverwire edges we can find and high stakes. People like to follow my waiverwire article because I'm covering high stakes. I'm covering deep leagues,
32:40but Bryce Young is a perfect example of this. We want to be a week ahead because I think a lot of people will brush off
32:46guys who have uh history to them and sort of say that it's a one-off aberration, but I thought Bryce Young went toe-to-toe with Caleb Williams in
32:55week one in terms of production and we saw it. And then this week, even better.
32:59So Bryce Young, I think a lot of people are going to list him as a top waiverwire ad, but hopefully you already
33:04picked him up. I know I packed a lot of Bryce Young's bags for pretty cheap cuz again people were not believing week
33:10one. But the story for me with Carolina, we love target consolidation and we have it right now with Tedell McMillan and
33:20Jaylen Coker. And I think that's part of the reason that Bryce Young looks so comfortable. It's the time spent with Dave Canales. And I think Dave Canales
33:28is a top-notch uh play caller. We saw it in Tampa Bay. We we're starting to see it in in Carolina more and more. But we
33:35look at week one, Jaylen Coker had the smash week, but Jaylen Coker and Tedaro McMillan combined for a 50% target share. So extremely consolidated target
33:46share. Then in week two this week, you've got Tedo McMillan finishing with five catches for 101 yards. Jaylen Coker continues to have a good performance.
33:55gets eight catches for 68 yards, but you get the 59% uh combined target share. So, it's an extremely consolidated offense for us in
34:05fantasy that we love. And then you've got uh Darren Waller who's starting to be this real threat in the end zone. And
34:12we saw that last year with Miami. We saw Bryce Young target Darren Waller last week in the end zone. And we see Darren
34:18Waller getting the touchdown. So, it's a really consolidated target tree. The two wide receivers are in great shape and we can chase Darren Waller as a touchdown
34:29or bus type guy at the tight end position. Chuba Hubard were upgrading.
34:33So believing in this Carolina Panthers uh ter Carolina Panthers team and I think the vibes with them are really good. And you got the Carolina Panthers
34:42going into Cleveland next week in week three. So I mean Cleveland got the big win over Tampa Bay. So, we're not going
34:48to completely write them off, but I think Carolina, you got to like their chances to win in week three on the road
34:54in Cleveland. A chance for another big performance from Bryce Young there. Uh really positive positive vibes when it comes to the Carolina Panthers, Bryce
35:04Young, and the the outstanding wide receivers. And then for a fantasy football look ahead, we could get another really highscoring game in week
35:14four. Carolina hosts the Detroit Lions.
35:17So, we talked about the perfect storm with Detroit. Detroit letting up a ton of points and Detroit scoring at will.
35:24Carolina sort of the same thing here except today strong defensive performance on the road in Atlanta against a really hapless Atlanta Falcons
35:32quarterback situation. But Carolina big-time signs of life. They're an offense that maybe we underrated a little bit in the preseason. The wide
35:40receivers looking really good. And I'll make a quick note, final note today. I want to point out Denzel Boston. Denzel Boston with five catches for 95 yards
35:50and a touchdown. Three first down catches. Cleveland gets a big win, but Denzel Boston, I think this is signal.
35:57Denzel Boston is starting to heat up a little bit. Back-to-back weeks here. Big shout out to everybody who watched this show live. And a even bigger shout out
36:06um to and in the chat, very funny one. A big shout out to everyone drafting Bejon over Jir Gibbs. Hopefully nobody nobody
36:13who was watching my shows was doing that. Um Jir Gibbs bags were packed by anybody. We had them at number one all
36:20summer long. Um but a big shout out to everyone for watching the show on Sunday Night Live. Hope you enjoy Sunday Night
