Austin Ekeler

NegativeRole27:01

Austin Ekeler is identified as a key pass-protecting and pass-catching back in Washington. His presence as the primary third-down option creates a 'downside case' for other backs in the committee by siphoning off valuable passing-game touches.

Insight page

Brandon Aiyuk

NegativeRole1:54

The source compares Dejon Stribbling's potential usage in the 49ers' offense to the role Brandon Aiyuk occupied during his 2023 breakout season.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection5:47

Brock Purdy's legendary efficiency in the Kyle Shanahan offense provides high-quality target volume for receivers like Dejon Stribbling.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveInjury52:14

Chris Bell is recovering ahead of schedule from his injury and possesses first-round talent; he could provide a surge in production starting around week six.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveRole8:24

The source views the tactical shift of Matthew Golden playing the X receiver position favorably, as it moves Christian Watson off the ball, which is expected to improve his usage within the Packers' offense.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeValue9:36

The source suggests that fantasy managers chasing youth and upside are increasingly willing to draft Matthew Golden over Courtland Sutton.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveBreakout60:21

Cyrus Allen is an absolute technician who can 'route people up' and is emerging as a high-quality prospect for Kansas City. Initially doubted for his size and athletic upside, he is now viewed as a sleeper who can win against man and match coverage. The team trusts him as a run-after-catch threat, and the source prefers him over Xavier Worthy at his current ADP.

Insight page

D'Ernest Johnson

PositiveValue16:44

The source is open-minded to drafting Johnson as a value play with an ADP falling into round 11. He is identified as the primary option for goal-line work inside the five-yard line.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

NegativeUsage67:06

Dallas Goedert is established as a primary target in the Philadelphia offense alongside DeVonta Smith.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeUsage3:28

The source suggests Deebo Samuel's current conditioning status may impact his availability or role, further opening up opportunities for Dejon Stribbling.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeUsage67:21

DeVonta Smith remains a primary target in the Philadelphia offense, but the source notes a significant limitation in his game: he struggles as an X receiver against press coverage. Smith reportedly suffers the largest drop-off in separation score of any receiver in the league when moving from other alignments to being pressed.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

PositiveSleeper65:36

Dontayvion Wicks is a high-upside sleeper expected to earn a starting role in two-receiver sets for Philadelphia early in the season. The source highlights his versatility, noting he has played all three receiver positions and ranks as a top-seven separator in the NFL over the last two years.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeInjury21:54

The source expresses concern regarding Dobbins' durability, noting that Jonah Coleman has significant upside if Dobbins gets injured.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeValue26:22

The source advises against following the 'continual fade' of Jameson Williams, suggesting he is a player to target despite negative sentiment from others.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeUsage9:48

Jayden Reed is considered an elite NFL talent, but his fantasy ceiling is constrained by his usage in 11 personnel; he ran only one route from 12 personnel last year despite the Packers using that formation 38% of the time, resulting in a limited 62% snap share. Some managers are drafting Matthew Golden ahead of him due to these snap share concerns.

Insight page
NegativeUsage10:23

Jaden Reed is viewed as an awesome NFL talent, but his fantasy upside is capped by his usage in 11 personnel. The source highlights that Reed only ran one route from 12 personnel last year despite the Packers utilizing that formation on 38% of their snaps, effectively limiting him to a 62% snap share.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveBreakout20:13

Coleman is a high-upside sleeper and the best way to play the Denver backfield. He is a three-down back with a build compared to Doug Martin and a role likened to a 'thick Mark Ingram' under Sean Payton. He is projected to eventually become the lead back in Denver, offering RB2 value, and has significant upside if JK Dobbins misses time.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeUsage11:54

Josh Jacobs is viewed as a 'plotter' and a technician similar to David Montgomery, but he carries significant concern due to his heavy career workload and high-volume usage since his rookie season. The team's stubbornness in feeding him the ball despite low pass-rate-over-expectation suggests he could eventually be replaced by MarShawn Lloyd.

Insight page

Keilan Robinson

PositiveRole16:44

Robinson is considered a high-end pass-catching back and one of the best prospects from the 2025 draft class. He played over 160 third downs last year, significantly outpacing Tank Bigsby, and is expected to maintain his role despite current injury concerns.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue65:02

The source is bullish on Kenneth Walker, preferring to draft him over the Chiefs' wide receivers, anticipating a heavy usage role in the offense.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveUsage52:00

Malik Washington has easy-button upside, with Scott Barrett projecting him to potentially exceed 100 targets this season.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveBreakout26:45

Malik Willis is a top late-round target in 1QB leagues with immense rushing upside; his ADP is rising from QB21 to QB19. The source describes him as the most physically gifted running quarterback currently starting in the league, citing his sub-4.40 speed and improved confidence and decision-making compared to his time in Tennessee. If he starts all 17 games, he has the potential to reach 800+ rushing yards.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeProjection59:04

The source expresses skepticism regarding Mark Andrews' health and current form, suggesting he could be 'plain cooked' despite the potential for a bounce-back season. The Baltimore offense is viewed as needing more than just Flowers and Andrews to function effectively.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveBreakout12:16

MarShawn Lloyd is a healthy, explosive athlete ranked as the RB2 of the 2024 class. He is considered a superior athlete to Josh Jacobs in terms of size, explosiveness, and receiving ability. He is currently a high-end handcuff with significant long-term upside as a potential replacement for Jacobs.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveBreakout8:24

Matthew Golden is a high-upside sleeper expected to play the X receiver position, which should improve his discipline and release package. He is projected to see an immense snap share, potentially reaching 85%. While he struggled with technique as a rookie, he is currently being drafted in the 9th-10th round (ADP ~138) and is preferred by some managers over established veterans like Stefon Diggs, Courtland Sutton, and Michael Pittman Jr.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeValue9:36

The source notes that some fantasy managers are prioritizing the upside of Matthew Golden over Michael Pittman in drafts.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury3:23

Mike Evans is noted as being currently injured, which contributes to the opportunity for Dejon Stribbling to see increased targets in the 49ers' offense.

Insight page

Parker Washington

NegativeValue19:06

Washington is viewed as overpriced compared to other Jaguars players who are being pushed down to better draft ranges. He is currently being drafted in the fourth round on NFC and fifth round on FFPC.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust62:01

The source advises fading Rashee Rice, noting he looks unprepared for football and is struggling in one-on-one drills against Chiefs quarterbacks. His recovery from injury and historical inability to win one-on-one routes limit his effectiveness as a primary man-coverage beater for Kansas City.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

NegativeInjury3:29

Ricky Pearsall is confirmed to be out for the season, removing him as a competitor for targets against Dejon Stribbling.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeBust21:14

The source is skeptical of Harvey, citing poor tape that lacks NFL-caliber vision, decisiveness, and pace. The team's decision to draft another running back suggests they were not satisfied with his rookie performance.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeValue9:36

The source notes that some fantasy managers are fading Stefon Diggs in drafts, opting instead for younger players with higher perceived upside like Matthew Golden.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

NegativeUsage16:44

Tank Bigsby may be limited to a between-the-20s volume role, which the source questions as having limited fantasy value. He played fewer than 20 third downs last year compared to Keilan Robinson's 160, suggesting his role is unlikely to expand significantly.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeUsage62:31

Travis Kelce remains a highly viable fantasy asset expected to maintain his high target volume. He continues to serve as the primary zone-exploiting and dump-and-run option in the Chiefs' offense.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

NegativeValue25:20

The source explicitly prefers drafting Marshawn Lloyd over Allgeier, suggesting Allgeier lacks the fantasy upside or utility of other options.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeBust63:22

Xavier Worthy has been a massive disappointment in camp, leading the source to prefer Cyrus Allen over him despite Worthy's higher ADP.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveUsage58:37

The source expects Zay Flowers to see an expanded role in the Baltimore offense this season. Despite his projected increase in target volume, he faces a natural touchdown ceiling because he has never been utilized as an end-zone target.

0:00breaking down fantasy football sleepers that are starting to move up late in ADP as we reach the middle of August and
0:07we're closing in on the start of the NFL season. Theo Griminger, lead fantasy analyst right here at Rotoire, joined by my old podcast co-partner Brett
0:15Whitefield of Fantasy Points. Brett and I hosted the 20206 NFL draft podcast and we talked about a lot of the players
0:22that we're going to discuss on this show. Then some of these players, Brett, are rookies that are starting to move up. We're also going to talk about a
0:28couple of younger players that are suddenly making look like they can make a real impact this year. Basically, we're trying to get fantasy managers
0:36really caught up. If you've got a draft this week, we are going to break it down on a lot of these buzz names that you
0:41need to know. And sort of the number one name here, Brett, and this guy is a lot of the guys we're talking about today,
0:46you're going to be able to get in the double-digit rounds of drafts. But this player is sort of a rocket ship to the
0:51moon. By the time we get to the end of August, he might be a seventh round pick at this pace. Dejon Stribbling, San
0:57Francisco 49ers was a little bit of a shock selection in the NFL draft. I think people sort of have readjusted their initial takes on this one, but
1:08Stribbling not only looks like a good pick for San Francisco, he looks like a potential great pick and a guy that
1:14could emulate Brandon Iayuk 2023 like early on in his career. Is that hyperbole from me?
1:20>> Not at all. And Theo, I don't think we were.
1:22>> No, not me and you. Not me and you.
1:24those other guys. We, you know, we have receipts on this one. We we actually talked about scribbling together on a podcast before Old Miss's College
1:30Football Playoff as a guy that could be a highly drafted guy. Like, we were on this athleticism and and sort of the
1:35profile, but I don't think either one of us thought of him as a guy that could basically command targets right out the
1:40jump.
1:41>> For sure. And you you Well, that is for sure true. I think when you and I did a show right after the draft and and we
1:49were we kind of pushed back on the people crying about the 49ers reaching on him, right? And yeah, like they signed Mike Evans. They at the time we
1:56thought Ricky Pierce would be heavy. So yeah, I think we for sure were like, "Oh, he's probably a a development guy
2:03for later, right, next year, the year after." And turns out Mike Evans is already hurt. Debo Samuels still fat.
2:09And then you Ricky Purol's out for the season who plays ahead of Deshawn Stribbling at this point. And then you get the first two preseason games where
2:16gosh, the first game Theo, I was so impressed because he's with the the 49ers second team offense and he's running up against paid corners in
2:25Alante Taylor and Cordell Flaw and he's beating them. And not only that, Theo, something I' I've said on my shows this
2:31week, it's like usually when you have a rookie, especially like a a day two rookie, like there's a limit to how much
2:38you'll put on that guy's plate as a rookie, right? It's like, "Okay, you're going to learn the X position. You're going to specialize in these three or
2:44four routes, and this will be your role as a rookie, and we'll get a little bit out of you, but and then we'll add and
2:49build from that foundation." They said, "Screw that. We're telling, we're teaching you the whole thing. This dude is playing X, he's playing Z, he's
2:55lining up in the slot, he's blocking his tail off, he's involved in the gadget, you know, design touch plays, he's involved in the vertical passing game.
3:03It's like they literally just dropped the Brandon Iayuk roll on his lap from day one and he seems to be thriving um
3:10historical production through I know it's preseason and people act like it doesn't matter. I think in a case like this it does matter cuz we want to see
3:16proof of concept coming from an miss offense that isn't super favorable to receivers being ready to play in the NFL. This dude looks ready to play in
3:25the NFL. So I don't I don't know who plays above him at this point. I know Evans is a stud still, but he's old.
3:30He's already hurt. You got the substation effect going on with those older guys. I don't know, man. I'm I'm pretty all in on Stribbling. I think the
3:36hype is totally legit. I'm with you. And I think when you draft him, you're still able to get him a lot of drafts as a
3:42wide receiver 4, but I really think he should be treated as a wide receiver three with upside. And I think he's an
3:47every week flex. We also talk about the efficiency of Brock Party is sort of legendary over the last couple years.
3:53Uh, so you're it's not just the number of targets in San Francisco, it's the quality of targets with Brock Pury and
4:00the Kyle Shanahan offense. This is an unbelievable stat and and this is Ryan Paganetti, who I know I potted with and
4:06you've potted with a few times at this point. Uh, Dejon Stribbling's preseason start is truly unbelievable. He's the first player in at least 20 years to
4:15total 11 catches within the first 20 minutes of two consecutive preseason games. The next closest were Dez Bryant in 2013 who had 10. Dearyius Thomas,
4:26RIP, who was unbelievable fantasy player. Uh in 2014 Broncos, 10 catches.
4:33And then Jeremy Mlin who was a really really strong fantasy asset. 2015 Kansas City Chiefs with 10. So really, really awesome stuff. And he almost had a long
4:4433 yard touchdown. Um couldn't finish it like a drop the touchdown pass. If he would have done that, Brett, that would
4:50have been another round of of ADP. So, I think if you're in a late draft here in August and you're you have your home
4:55league draft, be very aggressive because I don't think that the ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper ADPs are going to catch up to
5:03just how impactful he can be. If you're an NFC or FFPC, I mean, it's a seventh round pick right then and there. The NFL
5:10season is right around the corner and it's time for Survivor contests. Rotoire is partnering with Splash Sports for two Survivor contests. There's the $100,000
5:20NFL Survivor. That's a $15 entry. Pick one NFL team to win straight up each week. No spread, no repeats. Then you've
5:29got a very cool one, the $50,000 touchdown survivor. This one's playerbased. Pick someone to score a touchdown. Passing touchdowns don't count. It's got to be rushing,
5:39receiving, or returns only. That's a $25 entry gets you 50,000. Ian Hardit and I are both competing in this one. So, you
5:46can play against me. You can play against Ian. Can you outlast us in this contest? We're going to use the code
5:52rotoireire and you are going to get a 50% deposit match. That's a 50% deposit match using the code rotoire. Go to
6:01splashports.com/rotoire and I'll see you in the contest. Let's keep it going to the wide receiver position. Let's talk about a year two
6:09guy. Let's talk about Matthew Golden. Uh who it it feels like this could end up being a a big breakout. I I had uh Scott
6:16Barrett, your your podcast partner on and my my former podcast partner at Fantasy Points on and I think a little bit of a disconnect between the two of
6:23us on Matthew Golden and his potential impact in fantasy this year. For me, I love the skills of Jaden Reed. I think
6:30Jaden Reed is is an awesome NFL talent, but Jaden Reed also feels like a guy who needs to be in 11 personnel. Matthew
6:37Golden I think is going to be on the field all the time this year and the vibes are very good. You also talk about
6:43you you know I think Savon Williams has been a guy that you you liked as a as a a prospect but a little bit more of a
6:50capped upside target guy if he if there was like a wide receiver injury. So I think Golden has contingent upside if
6:57Reed or Watson were to miss time. And really if Tucker Craft ever misses time I think all three wide receivers could
7:02have value. But Golden could end up with Brett like I don't know 85% uh snap share this year. The the snap share
7:09could be immense for a guy who with electric speed that I think will get opportunities to shine.
7:14>> You know how many routes Jaden Reed ran from 12 personnel last year.
7:17>> It was it was literally like one route something like in >> it was one exactly one route. I think Rich Reebar brought that up on a pod
7:26with me and I like had to like double check it cuz I thought maybe Rich got that where and Rich doesn't get anything
7:31wrong but I thought maybe I you know I went and looked and I'm like that's that's actually shocking that you can't
7:37get him just a couple of snaps and two wide sets. But that that's how the floor always treated him. Year two Jaden Reed
7:43we wanted so much more fantasy wise and then the floor is like no it's okay he's an 11 guy. He's a 62% snap share guy.
7:49That's it.
7:50>> And what's crazy is they played in 12% like 38% of their snaps this year. So, this is not a small sample. There was
7:54opportunity for Jaden Reed to play in 12 personnel. They just said, "Nah, thanks." So, and then what's interesting about Golden, and I think some of Scott
8:01Barrett's dislike of Golden is just that I haven't been the biggest Golden fan, right? Like, I liked him as a prospect
8:08on tape last year. He his route running was all over the place. Like, depths were wrong, technique was an issue, wasted movements. That doesn't mean he
8:16can't clean it up. And also, they're saying he's going to play the X, which gets Christian Watson off the ball, which I really like. I think Golden is
8:23probably even though he's undersized, he's best suited to play the X because his release package is so good. And I think being on the line of scrimmage
8:29will help him be disciplined in those route depths, which is what he struggled with last year. This is going to sound
8:34crazy, Theo. I actually like all of the Green Bay Packers wide receivers at ADP.
8:38I love just taking I think what what's Golden's ADP right now? Like 138 or something. So you it's one of these guys
8:45where if you're in uh an NFC league cuz it's three wide receivers. There's like a certain there's like one very well-known highstakes uh manager who's
8:55won an overall championship in in NFC that's pushing him up like extremely high and then there's other drafts will where he'll fall. So I think it really
9:04kind of depends on on your format. I'm going to double check on Fantasy Mojo, his most recent main event ADP, but I
9:11feel like he sort of sits there in a lot of these high stakes FFPC drafts a consideration inside of like round nine
9:20in inside of round 10. Um, sort of lives at that 910 turn in FFPC. Um, but in start three wide receiver formats, it's
9:28like whenever someone has conviction, they're taking Matthew Golden. And you talk about like some of the other like big bet wide receivers that with upside,
9:37you know, there's going to be fantasy managers that are just going to take him over Michael Pitman. They're going to take him over Courtland Sutton. They're
9:43going to take him over Stefon Diggs cuz they're chasing youth. They're chasing upside. And then there's managers who are just going to straight up take him
9:49over Jaden Reed who goes a little bit ahead of them because of some of the concerns that you've expressed on this
9:54show about the the snapshare and all that. And I also am with you, Brett, on all three are are good options in
10:02drafts. And I'll say that the fact that there's no there's no tight end two of note with Luke Musgrave banged up. Maybe
10:10it's an embrace of 11 and maybe we'll see way more 11 and way less 12. I don't know. Lafleur seems like a guy. He's
10:16very good play caller. Um but you wonder about like the tendencies and how committed he is to going heavy a lot of
10:23the time. But I think Golden I'm with you. Like how high are you willing to push him up? Are you willing to take him
10:28ahead of Jaden Reed in drafts?
10:31>> That's really tough cuz I think when Reed is on the field, he does have a dynamic to him that's pretty special and
10:37he's they just paid him too, right? Like typically that's a good sign.
10:41>> Yeah.
10:41>> I don't know. That's that's really tough. I don't know about Yeah, I'd probably lean golden headto head to be honest, but um not by much though. He's
10:50definitely an interesting upside chase wide receiver. I'm not trying to talk you off of Jayen Reed, but I want to open people's minds to Matthew Golden.

11:26Let's crush our leagues together this season. Let's pivot uh over to the backfield in Green Bay. Josh Jacobs returned to practice, but when we talk
11:35about Josh Jacobs, we're talking about a running back who has a significant amount of tread on his tires volumewise.
11:43Uh he's he's been pretty solid with injuries over the years, but you're talking about a guy who's when people look at the actual age for Josh Jacobs.
11:52It's not like his real life age. Like we talk about like a real life age for for like adults. So I could go to the doctor
11:57and there's, you know, some guy that might be 35, but hey, he's 50. There might be a 50-year-old who whose body's
12:02like a 35-year-old. Jacobs was getting high volume carries when he was like 21 years old in the NFL. I believe he was a
12:1020-year-old rookie. I have to double check on that one. he was 21 or 20 um when he first arrived in the NFL and got
12:16a heavy workload. Marshon Lloyd is healthy and the vibes are really strong with Marshon Lloyd. He's moved up into like high-end handcuff category. Um and
12:27I think there's an argument that he could be a potential handcuff plus if they want to switch stuff up and sort of
12:33mix him in. Are you bullish on Marshon Lloyd this year? Let's say he plays all 17 games. Uh, how impactful could he be
12:42for for fantasy football? And then what is his upside if Jacobs were to miss time?
12:48>> Yeah, I mean I think Lloyd, there's a reason they drafted him where they did.
12:52He was my RB2 in that 24 class. Like talk about size, explosiveness, and ability to catch the ball. He's different than Jacobs. Like Jacobs is
13:01more of your David Montgomery type. He's like a plotter at this point. Very good running back, you know, a pros pros
13:08technician. But Lloyd gives you that explosive upside. And we know from the last three or four years, coordinators are explicitly chasing those explosive
13:16runs. We know that drives that feature an explosive run on them have like a 70% higher chance of yielding points. And so
13:23I do think getting a Marshon Lloyd into the fold with a healthy Jacobs is probably the plan. If Jacobs were to
13:29miss time, he's got a insane amount of upside. I think long term he he could be a Josh Jacobs replacement. They're not
13:36actually tied to Jacobs at all contractually. So, um, you know, the tough part is like we've already talked about with the floor, the stubbornness
13:42is crazy. He has this willingness to just stick to his guns beyond most coaches. And we've seen that with Jacobs even the last two years where it's like
13:50the run, the pass rate over expectation is in just abnormally low, you know, considering the quarterback they have, the offensive line they've had, the pass
13:58catchers they have, yet they just keep pounding the rock with Josh Jacobs. So, there's something there. I don't know.
14:03But I I I love Lloyd. If he stays healthy, if you're telling me he plays 17 games, I would tell you he has an
14:08insane amount of upside.
14:10>> Yeah. Uh Jordan Love called him the Yeet Cannon, which is uh just an awesome awesome awesome uh nickname. I I think
14:18it's it's an interesting one because like when we talked about a lot through the offseason just how this Green Bay offense could look. Uh, Laflur
14:26continually gets mentioned among the best play callers in the NFL year after year, but the way that the seasons have ended for Green Bay with multiple uh
14:36like last year the close loss to Chicago uh two years back they get steamrolled by Philly, you wonder if there's just a
14:42willingness to change, a little more open-mindedness. I think some internal pressure in Green Bay for the team to take the next step. Then you talk about
14:49the the uh NFC North potentially being a shootout division. your Detroit Lions some issues in the secondary and we know they're going to put up 35 a game
14:58potentially. Uh Minnesota should be a little bit better this year. They have to kind of return to normaly and then certainly uh Ben Johnson in Chicago. Ben
15:06Johnson says he wants to set the all-time record for points per game this year. He's like open about it. So I
15:11think Marshon's going to have opportunities. I I would include him in the the like the the highest levels of of handcuff running back. I think I'd be
15:20more comfortable taking him than like a even like a like a Tyler Algier. I' I'd be more comfortable taking him than a
15:27than a Chris Rodriguez. Um, where are you at on that one? Marshawn versus Chris Rodriguez. I think a lot of people
15:32roll their eyes at that one and say, Theo, that's probably incorrect.
15:35>> Um, where are you at on the Jacksonville backfield? Just a quick We're we're going off subject. I just I haven't
15:41talked to you about this one for a while. Initial lean. Who scores more fantasy points in the Jacksonville? And is it impactful enough that it makes a
15:48dent for fantasy managers Rodriguez Toutin?
15:53>> So, I'm I'm very um I would say fearful of this backfield. I'm not touching it at all. Like I Chris Rodriguez is going
16:02to be enough thorn in the side. Whether he scores more points than Tuton or not, I don't even think matters. I think he
16:07does enough to kind of completely cap Toutin's fantasy viability. There's no upside with any of these guys to me. I I
16:14think Tutin might be clearly the best player, but it doesn't matter when Liam Cohen has an affinity for Chris Rodriguez. And then you have both
16:21running backs talking about how Laquent Allen is one of the best players in the team. I think that's really interesting.
16:27And so Laquent Allen, one of the best pass protecting backs in the league.
16:30He's a very good pass catcher. So the the the real downside case for Tuton is like he's got Chris Rodriguez as an
16:37early down threat and then he's got Laquent Allen as a third down like obvious third down guy who can pass protect and catch catch passes. So it's
16:44like where do all of the valuable touches come from for Tuton? I don't know. I think inside the five they go to
16:50Rodriguez and then the pass down stuff goes to to Laquin Allen. Like Toutton could just be a a between the 20s kind
16:56of volumeish guy and I I I don't know that that's super valuable man. So I'm I I'm staying away from this backfield.
17:02I'm not drafting anyone unless it's like the values like way way past ADP. I think I'm taking a flip side argument
17:08here and I think that the fact that it's sort of up in the air is is creating some maybe some potential values for us
17:15where if Tutin runs away with it. Uh I think Laquin Allen missing time uh is huge for Tuton because I think it
17:21insulates the pass catching work at least early on. When Laquent Allen is sort of back and healthy that if Toutin's struggling with it, I think
17:28they'll mix in Allen. I think they really like him. But I think if Tuton's really effective the first maybe g two
17:34or three games as a pass catcher, he could hold on to that role. And then Rodriguez, I'm also open-minded to taking because he's falling. I'm getting
17:43Rodriguez in like round 11, Tutin at like the round five or round six. I think that there's also an argument that
17:49if Tutin falls significantly in your draft, you could potentially grab both of these guys. It's it's it's a lot of times that's like a a bad move when
17:59there's potential for like a split and an annoying usage. You end up just having to you might pick the wrong starter one week. But I think if if we
18:07follow the way that Liam Cohen's offenses have been, there's been a guy you can throw in the lineup. We talk about beginning of the season Rashad
18:14White in Tampa, then Bucky Irving just straight up takes over. Then we talked about last year where it was Travis Ahan
18:21the entire season. So, I think I'm I'm open-minded to both. Um, one or do you have anything else to add on Jacksonville?
18:29>> Actually, just one other note on like the third down stuff. Like they could have given Toutin that role last year.
18:35He played less than 20 third downs. Like Quinn Allen played over 160, I think.
18:39Like that's >> same draft, you know what I mean? Like I don't think that role is changing for Allen. Obviously, he's banged up right
18:45now, but I don't know how much time he's going to miss. I know Allan was, you know, when we did work on that draft
18:50class, Brett, I mean, Allen was arguably one of the best two or three pass catchers in the in the entire draft
18:56class in 2025. Um, huge numbers at at Syracuse. So, uh, interesting backfield, potential fantasy points, and I think that Liam Cohen has been a great source
19:06of fantasy production, and all these Jaguars are sort of pushed down to decent ranges except for Parker Washington, who's now going in like the
19:13fourth round in NFC, fifth round FFPC.

20:13Everybody else is pretty cheap. Talk about Jonah Coleman here because I had Cody Carpenter on. We talked about Jonah Coleman. Um Jonah Coleman, there's been
20:22some real positivity here where Shawn Peyton specifically said that he'd seen enough where he didn't need any additional evidence of what the rookie
20:31could do. I believe he had uh uh four carries uh for for 24 yards against Atlanta in that preseason opener and
20:38then sort of had the the praise from the coach. We know Denver's got the best offensive line in the NFL sort of hands
20:45down. I know that's where we have it and I believe Fantasy Points has it as well with Denver at the top. Uh then you've
20:50got the the offense where you they're very efficient potentially very pass.
20:57Coleman if he ends up taking hold of this backfield could be a really really effective fantasy asset. What do where do you put the chances of that at? Where
21:07are you at in in sort of looking at the Denver backfield? Is taking Jonah Coleman as the third Denver Broncos running back off the board the best way
21:14to play it or do you want to grab one of those other two guys, Dobbins, RJ Harvey, uh earlier in drafts? Coleman's
21:21definitely the best way to play it. You know, when you're considering ADP, I'm terrified as the as the clubhouse leader of the RJ Harvey fan club. I'm
21:30terrified. For one, I I was telling you last year like the tape isn't good, Theo. Like R.J. is not the vision, the
21:37decisiveness. Um it the pace in which he was running. It just wasn't NFL caliber.
21:42And I know he scored a bunch of fantasy points, a lot of touchdowns. It's not surprising they drafted another running back, right? They kind of told you what
21:50they thought of of his rookie season by doing that. And then Coleman's just the thing that's so scary is he looks good,
21:57but he's also a three down back. Like he can play all the downs. He doesn't need to come off the field if they don't want
22:02to. And so this has the makings of a disgusting Shawn Payeyton split written all over it. I do think it's ironic my
22:09comp for Jonah Coleman was was thick Mark Ingram, right? And who coached Mark Ingram? Well, it was Shawn Payeyton. So, I just just saying I think that is a is
22:18a thing. But yeah, I'm I'm concerned about R.J. Harvey and I'm definitely drafting Jonah Coleman. I think the upside swing on him if he ends up taking
22:25over that backfield when JK Dobbins gets hurt. I should say if JK Dobbins gets hurt and then I think he he passes R.J.
22:32Harvey on the depth chart at some point.
22:33So, I I love the upside swing on Coleman.
22:35>> Yeah. And sort of just a little little uh a lot of times your your RJ Harvey enthusiasm in 2025, Brett, you prevented
22:43a lot of people from drafting Caleb Johnson cuz you had Harvey like well ahead of him. So, when we were doing the
22:49shows together, I think people realize like, you know, R.J. Harvey, you did get a year out of him where he scored 12
22:56touchdowns. So, even if even if he kind of fizzles out here, that was still the correct one. Brett, you don't have to
23:01like own an L on R.J. Harvey. You got a 12 touchdown year out of him.
23:05>> It's still too It's still early, too. He might He might be fine.
23:07>> It's still early, too. You're not You're not But but if we would, if you would have had the same enthusiasm for Caleb
23:12Johnson versus RJ Harvey when those guys were sort of neck andneck in the running back rankings for that class. So, a lot
23:18of people had Caleb Johnson ahead. We We had R.J. Harvey ahead. Uh both of us did at the time and you were definitely on
23:24them. But I think Coleman, interesting.
23:26Super interesting. You bring up uh like the Mark Ingram. love that one and put Mark Ingram on on this Denver Broncos uh
23:33running uh room and like that would be awesome. And then you start thinking about like the build of a Doug Martin.
23:39And I think that the one thing with with Mark Ingram is we never really saw massive passcatching upside. A lot of
23:44it's the players he played next to and sort of the the the the but I think Coleman could end up catching a number
23:50of balls. And I think what's interesting is >> you talk about the the offseason they were connected to David Montgomery, they
23:56were connected to Kenneth Walker.
23:57Ultimately go Coleman. So, I think a change is coming. Coleman's going somewhere as a mid RB4 level guy. I think it makes for a really fun stash on
24:08your bench. It might be uh kind of a slow drip and you've got to wait 6 weeks for it, but I think Coleman eventually
24:13is going to have at least maybe a month or more where he's the lead dog in Denver. I think he could put up strong
24:20RB2 numbers at some point in the season.
24:22there's one injury to JK Dobbins or RJ Harvey, I also think he can be usable as sort of a a flex or or a spot start. Uh
24:30Brett, you are hosting the podcast I used to host over at Fantasy Points, uh Fantasy Football Daily. Let everybody know sort of what what you're doing now.
24:39>> Yeah, so Scott Barrett and I, we're we've taken over the fantasy football daily feed. We have a daily show.
24:44Offseason stuff right now is a lot like this. We're talking sleepers. We're talk we're you know laying out Scott Barrett's draft guide in season you'll
24:52be your your traditional kind of format I guess that um Theo had last year but we it's I I would say the approach is
24:58very much film verse analytics if you ever watch that show where it's like I'm the film guy I'm breaking down things
25:04from a film standpoint Scott's giving you the data all powered by Fantasy Points data suite and so it's like this really fun marriage and we go we go
25:11toe-to-toe a lot on some stuff too we we don't agree on everything for sure and we have a good relationship so the
25:16show's a lot of fun and we've I think we've already recorded 18 episodes together and it's it's been pretty great. So
25:22>> yeah, Brett's on the team Jameson Williams with me. You don't have to listen to Scott on this continual Jameson fade. Uh but yeah, both both
25:28both guys I recorded with a lot and uh I think you'll do really really well with that show this year for sure. Let's talk
25:34about Miami because every Miami Dolphin is is dirt cheap in fantasy besides Devon Aan. Um let's first talk about Malik Willis and what you've seen in
25:45preseason from him. I I think that the vibes are really strong and we're starting to see the ADP tick up slightly
25:52moving from like quarterback 21 up to like quarterback 19. The rushing potential is just immense, Brad. Oh, it's it's insane. I He's the most
26:02physically gifted uh running quarterback as a starter in the league right now. I think he's you know Lamar is has aged a
26:08little bit and he's not quite as explosive as he was. So, I think Malik Malik has a sub440 on record, Theo, from
26:14his days at Auburn. Like this dude's an absolute freak of nature. So the rushing upside's immense. But like I I joke with
26:21people that I'm never wrong. I'm just sometimes early. Malik Willis is a perfect potential test study for that because I had a first round grade on
26:28him. I thought he was the best quarterback in that draft class by a mile. I actually didn't even think it was close. Didn't like Kenny Picket.
26:33Didn't like Desmond Ritter um you know some of the other guys in that class. So it's cool to see me potentially get a
26:39chance to be vindicated here with his time in Miami. But, uh, the thing I I saw in that first preseason game,
26:44although limited sample, he just looked so confident. If you compare that tape side by side with his Tennessee Titans tape, it totally different player. The
26:53feet, everything was calm, it was smooth. He got from one to two to three.
26:58He was reading coverages like he just looked like he felt like he was supposed to be there. And that wasn't true in
27:04Tennessee. It was this happy feed. It was rushing everything or it was delaying every like nothing looked easy for him. And I would say that first
27:11preseason start, he just looked so confident, so comfortable. I I'm all in on Malik Will. I think Malik Willis, like if you're in just your home league
27:21reddraft, you know, one QB league, I think he's the best bet you can make at quarterback and and you could just wait
27:26on quarterback, then draft him in like the 10th round or or later even and and you'll be fine. I think he's what QB 17
27:32off the board right now or something.
27:34So, >> it depends on the format. I I've seen him sort of as low as QB21, QB19. Um, what's interesting is I think I rarely
27:41give out prop bet uh like the recommendations here. It's sort of just not the lane I'm in, but I did see a
27:47couple of sports books were listing listing his rushing total at like 549 a half for Malik Willis, which I feel like
27:55I mean Brett, he could get there by by week 10, uh, week 11. I think I mean I think realistically it's not hyperbole
28:01to say if Malik Willis starts all 17 games and I think that's sort of the way things are trending. Uh then I think he
28:09could end up with 800 plus rushing yards. I think that's sort of the pathway there where they are going to be
28:13very runheavy. Uh they're going to they're going to keep things very runentric. They are we know that they want to use Devon Chan a great deal. And
28:20then that offensive line where that feels like an offensive line where I look at like like Dan Fornick who who does such good work for us and I know
28:28you guys have have great offensive line content over at Fantasy Points as well.
28:31I feel like when when people rank Miami, they've got to rank them bottom 10 and offensive lines, but I feel like that's
28:37an offensive line with room to grow.
28:39Your thoughts? I know that like we talked about Kaden Proctor, the the rookie monster guard from from Alabama.
28:46Uh Patrick Paul uh and then uh Jonah Savana who was really pretty poor last year. There's been some positivity. Your thoughts on the offensive line play in
28:56Miami. Do you have a take on this?
28:58>> Yeah. Well, it starts with Aaron Brewer who's a top three center in the league and he's probably not third. You know
29:03what I mean? He's he's awesome. Um, I actually was really encouraged by Jonas Savian's tape towards the end of the season. Like, was it perfect? No. Was it
29:11really bad early? Yeah. I think like he had a couple start, one against Buffalo, one against New England where he just
29:16got his butt kicked. But they're moving him back to the right side, which is his natural position, right? He played left
29:21guard last year. Moving him back to the right side. And I was really encouraged by the progression and the and the
29:27development you saw from him in in year one. So, like I I think he's going to be a plus value for them this year. Um, we
29:34know Austin Jackson when healthy is a good league average right tackle and then I think Patrick Paul proved he is a
29:40you know maybe a top 12 left tackle and then Kayen Proctor's a monster left guard. So I do agree with you. I think
29:45this this offensive line has room to run. I think the identity that this team will have will really help this this
29:51unit as well where seems like the post Tyreek Hill Miami Dolphins just didn't really have that clear-cut identity.
29:57They weren't really sure what they were doing and I think that kind of hurt the whole offensive line as a whole. So, I'm
30:02I'm with you. I think Miami's got a lot of room to grow here as an offensive line.
30:07>> Talking about the wide receivers in Miami, and this is one where some people are like, "Give me a break, Theo. Let's
30:11just skip this and go to the next player." Um, but I think that there's something there because I'm not on Greg
30:16Doolsuch this year. I'm just sort of not buying it. I think that there's going to be a wide receiver that sort of emerges
30:22and how fantasy relevant can they be? I get it. It's there's a certain capped upside. We're already talking about how runheavy they are, but I think there's
30:29if you're in a start three wide receiver format, embracing one of these wide receivers and throwing a dart at them makes sense. The wide receiver that I
30:37think people have the most buzz with is Caleb Douglas, rookie wide receiver out of Texas Tech. We saw him down at the
30:44Senior Bowl. He goes early on day three.
30:47Uh your thoughts on on Douglas and his potential impact this year?
30:51>> Yeah, I I was a big fan of Douglas. Um you know, he scored relatively well for me. His film score was pretty good, but
30:57our separation guy at Fantasy Points, the guy who kind of runs that process for me is Stephen Oor.
31:01>> Stephen Oor was calling out Caleb Douglas how good he was at the Senior Bowl. So, I'll give Steph this is this
31:07was the anecdote I was going to share.
31:08He he was a huge Caleb Douglas guy. I believe he had like a high day two grade on him. So, no shock to see him actually
31:14go on day two and then he's tearing up camp. That one-handed catch he made in the preseason opener was phenomenal.
31:20Yeah, I think I think Douglas could be great. Malik will or Malik Washington, sorry, has just easy button upside as well where it's like we gota we got to
31:27put the targets somewhere. I think Scott Barrett's convinced he's going to get over 100 targets this year. So, um you know, I I liked taking dart throws on
31:34some of these guys late. Even Chris Bell who >> way ahead of schedule on that injury timeline, right? And like we know, you
31:40and I agree like first round talent in that body. So, like maybe they get a a week six plus surge from from Chris Bell
31:48here. I don't know. I I I like the darts dart throws though on these guys. Uh Chris Bell I I was comparing to like
31:54Squint and CJ Brown last year and I had I had no uh I had like no optimism whatsoever that he would come back this
32:01this early. If you're throwing a dart on one of these guys late in your draft cuz people are not going to double tap this
32:07situation. If you're throwing a dart on one of these guys, are you taking the immediate starting uh big big athletic outside receiver and Caleb Douglas sort
32:15of meshing with a big downfield shots from Willis to kind of keep uh defenses honest with the run game being so heavy
32:22or do you want to lean into the veteran who could have an expanded role but we haven't really seen a whole lot from but
32:28was incredibly productive in college in Malik Washington?
32:31>> Yeah, I'd go Douglas for sure. I think the up the upside's bigger plus um you know I think the back shoulder stuff he
32:38can do with Malik like you don't need necessarily separation to win with Caleb Douglas he's got that you know big physical frame that he can handle a lot
32:45of different roles so so last year a player that we would kind of get into it about was was Mai Lemon and so far Mai
32:53Lemon can't even get on on a field he's back working on the sideline but this is not a Mai Lemon conversation but I
32:58remember specifically arguing with you about Mai Lemon and the player that you were watching when you watched the USC film was you were talking up Jacobe
33:08Lane. Jacobe Lane was okay at the Senior Bowl. Uh sort of sort of settled in as a as a day two guy, very skinny, was sort
33:16of a knock on him at the Senior Bowl, like incredibly slight, but you were very high on the tape from USC and he's
33:23like an unbelievably fast starter right now for Baltimore. There's been beat reporters saying that this is like the best rookie wide receiver they've ever
33:31seen in camp with just how how consistently good he's been. We've seen him score in a preseason game. He's starting to to trend up in ADP. Where
33:40are you at on Jacobe Lane? You think people need to kind of chill out a little bit on this one or are you
33:44embracing this late August rise?
33:47>> Yeah, so every every year I publish a uh early look, you know, scouting notes for my summer scouting. It usually comes out
33:53like November 1st. Last year, if you read my article, I had Jacobe Lane in there as one of my top 25 players to
33:59watch through the draft process. So, I'm not surprised he's turning heads, man.
34:02This guy, he the most ridiculous ball skills I think you've ever seen. He had some catches at USC that were just like
34:09otherworldly. Um, he had what, 14 touchdowns in 2024, something like that.
34:13Like, >> crazy productive player.
34:16>> Um, yeah. And then through the process, we found out at the Senior Bowl like, hey, he doesn't handle physical contact
34:21very well, right? like he gets pressed at the line of scrimmage, things get muddy and I think the the his stock kind
34:26of wore down a little bit where he he ended up going what, the fourth round, third round, fourth round. Um either
34:31way, it's like I I think the the community just kind of soured on him a little bit because of that physicality.
34:36But that's something he can learn. His he's super skinny. He could add muscle.
34:40And what we've seen through Cam so far is that they're going to hide him well.
34:44Like he's going to play some Z. They're going to not keep him on the line of scrimmage, which is good for him, but
34:48the ball skills are ridiculous, man. He he can run routes, too. So, um I I'm pretty I think Dez Bryant had Jacobe
34:54Lane as like his wide receiver too in the class, which is really funny. But, um yeah, I I like Lane in Baltimore.
34:59Listen, they're desperate for another guy to step up, whether whether it's uh Rashad Baitman just staying healthy or Jacobe Lane emerging as the young rookie
35:07that can do it. They they need another pass catcher. It's Zay Flowers and a busted Mark Andrews. So, like what what
35:13are we doing? You know, >> I think you nailed it. And I think I think the pathway for Jacobe Lane is
35:17kind of clear for me where like we talk about Z Flowers and Z Flower is a player that I love drafting this year and I
35:23think his role is going to be expan expanded with Declan Doyle for sure. But you talk about how Zay Flowers has never
35:29been an end zone target guy. He's he's just that's not what they've used him at at all. So even if that increases, I
35:36think there's probably a cap ceiling at just how many end zone targets he could get. Uh how utilized he'll be in the red
35:41zone. where you look at Jacobe Lane, it's like you bring up Mark Andrews.
35:44Mark Andrews, there's there's a lot of people out there that want to talk about Mark Andrews. This could end up being a
35:50huge bounceback year for him, but I'm sort of with you. He could end up he could just be play plain cooked. Um, and
35:56then you get Jacobe Lane could end up being the red zone and endzone guy and he could end up with a rookie year with
36:02like eight touchdown catches. So, I think there's a pathway there. even if they're right on Andrews. Even if Andrews goes for 900 yards and and eight
36:10touchdowns, like you can't get it done with two guys. Like you need you need more than Z Flowers and Mark Andrews. I
36:16I definitely think there's a huge, you know, huge window for Lane to get on the field. One other rookie wide receiver to
36:21get your thoughts on, Cyrus Allen of the Kansas City Chiefs. uh buying into him making a potential impact this year or
36:29is this another Kansas City Chief rookie that gets the August Steam uh and doesn't necessarily produce when when the lights go on in week one? Yeah. So,
36:38I never got around to writing him up for the draft guide and I totally regret it now. Um you actually on our podcast
36:43Theo, you were out you went out of town for like a week like two weeks before the draft and in your absence I had Mike
36:49Rener join me on that show. Rener comes on the show and I asked him the question like, "Hey, who's the one player in this
36:55draft that literally nobody's talking about that everyone should be talking about?" And you know what he said? He said Cyrus Allen. At that point in time,
37:02I had not watched Cyrus Allen's tape. I got to it late in the process. Never wrote him up. But he ended up scoring as
37:07a as a late day two, early day three guy for me. But the the thing that you notice on tape right away is the guy can
37:13absolutely route people up. Just a just an absolute technician. I was worried about his size, a little worried about the the athletic upside, but I mean the
37:21the dude looks awesome. So, and then so far through camp, like you've seen the videos of Rashi playing, he doesn't look
37:27ready to play football yet. Um >> Rashi is getting shut down by every single Chief's quarterback when we see one-on-one routes. It's insane.
37:35>> Yeah, he's never been That's the thing.
37:36He's never been a one-on-one winner, and now that he's dealing with the the injury or the recovery of the injury, he's really just not going to be a
37:43one-on-one guy. And that's what this offense has lacked. if we're being quite honest, like they have not had a guy that can go win against single or man or
37:51match coverage. It's like they have Rashi who's the and Kelsey who can exploit zones and be the dump and run guys. Taekquin Thornton has been a deep
37:59threat at times, but there's still not really a good connection with Mahomes.
38:02And then Worthy has been a massive disappointment. So, it's like, yeah, they need a guy who can come route guys up and win one-on- ones, whether it's
38:09man or match coverage, and Cyrus Allen seems to be the guy that can answer that call. He's also doing a lot of the Rashi
38:15stuff. I I don't know if you watched the the some of the clips in the preseason game, but like he is playing some of
38:20that role, too, where they are trusting him as a run after catch threat. And so, I don't know. I It's really hard for me
38:25not to buy into this one cuz I just think the the vibes on Worthy and Rice are so bad. It's just like, man, I I I
38:31really think they also are desperate for a guy to step up.
38:35>> Xavier Worthy at wide receiver 52 or or Allen at wide receiver 59, who you going with this year? Who scores more fantasy
38:44points?
38:46Let's go Allan.
38:47>> All right, there we go. And open-minded to drafting both bread is sort of a general fade of Rice. Yeah, I think
38:52that's that's sort of that's sort of where I'm at. I wanted to say Xavier Worthy. I wanted I took Worthy the other
38:57day in the draft. You know, you know me with Xavier. I'm going to keep a candle burning with Xavier Worthy for sure, but
39:02I think I'm openminded to it. I think just the generally is I'm not drafting Rashi Rice. I'm drafting Kenneth Walker.
39:07Walker's sort of the way I'm playing it.
39:09I know we you I think I'm a little bit ahead on on Walker versus where you'd have Walker. Um but I I'm I think that's
39:16how they're going to try to use a ton of Kenneth Walker and I think embracing these wide receivers and then Travis
39:22Kelce just sort of sits there but he's going to be highly utilized as a pass catcher yet again. Travis Kelce's had
39:28like a hundred targets for like forever.
39:30Um and I think that probably happens yet again this year in a very very boring runout. Uh he's still probably viable.
39:36Let's talk about Dantavian Wixs briefly.
39:39We I mentioned I mentioned Mai Lemon, but Dantavian Wix has been a player that, you know, you talk about guys like
39:45like Ryan Heath and and a lot of people in fantasy football. Wix has been sort of a a guy that people really want to
39:52see more from because analytically he does some great things and we've seen a bunch of spike week performances, but we haven't seen consistency. It feels like
40:03he's going to get an early opportunity in Philly oppos opposite Devonte Smith with Lemon sort of struggling to stay on the field in camp and Lemon probably the
40:12idea of Lemon being in two wide receiver sets that at least early that that ship is sailed. It's going to be Wix probably
40:18for the first month of the season there.
40:20How good can Wix be in this Philadelphia offense? We know it's going to be uh an offense that likes to run the football,
40:26but besides Dallas and Smith, it feels like there's a opportunity to carve out a role for Wix. Where are you at on this
40:33one?
40:35>> Yeah, and and Wix when they traded for him, this one of my argu arguments from Mai Lemon where it's like, well, I think
40:41three receiver sets will be tough for him to get on the field. We know Devonte Smith is not good as an X, right? He
40:48gets pressed into oblivion. We have the separation numbers at fantasy points where it's like um you see the biggest drop off in separation score of any
40:56receiver in the league from when he's lined up in other positions to when he's pressed. Like no separation. Now, does he have some ball skills and stuff to
41:04account for a little bit of that? Yeah, for sure. He he can still go win win because of his ball skills and contested
41:09catch ability, but separation is not there. And then Wix comes in as a guy who's played for Shawn Manion and he's
41:16played all three positions. He's played a ton of X, a ton of Z, and a ton of F.
41:19And the separation numbers at all three positions are staggeringly good. Over the last two years, he's a top seven separator in the NFL. His route win rate
41:28is also top seven. And that actually holds true through all three of those positions. And he's one of the only guys
41:34in the league who's run almost an equal split of X routes, Z routes, and F routes. So like I do think they they
41:40probably value Wix more than the fantasy player likes to care about. Um, and so I I think Wix is definitely a two two
41:47receiver set guy right now at least until Mai gets up to speed and and gets, you know, working in with the offense.
41:53But, um, yeah, I Wix is like a late dart throw. I I think it's totally fine, totally reasonable. And and he should
42:00fulfill the deep element of their offense as well. Yeah. I mean, he's going incredibly late. He's free in every league. If you're listening to
42:06this and you already had your draft and you're in a, you know, 15 16 R 16 roster spot league, he's sitting there on your
42:13waiver wire in a lot of formats. I think it's kind of worth seeing what happens here. I mean, I'm more bullish on on you
42:19than than Lemon at least making an impact at some point this year early.
42:23Uh, but I think Wix is is clearly going to be in an early season role. And Lemon, we've already seen him miss
42:28OTAAS. We've already seen him miss training camp, a chance of like reagravation of a hamstring injury. It could happen in the regular season as
42:35well. and Wix could have a a really strong run out here. Um, let's talk about a year two wide receiver who has a
42:40ton of buzz, who's moved up significantly in ADP, and that's Pat Bryant, who's been one of the real training camp stars, just continual drum
42:50beats, everyday positivity, a lot of positive coach speak, beat reporter speak, um, and other players on Denver just praising Pat Bryant. Third round
42:59pick, uh, out of Illinois. was a really a really exciting player for for Illinois that year. He had three game-winning touchdown grabs all in like
43:08the last minute of of the game or in overtime. All in Big 10 wins. Sort of just was like a hero for that Illinois
43:15offense. Went to the Senior Bowl, third round pick for Denver. We had Shawn Payeyton comparing him to Michael Thomas. Then he he ends up getting
43:22ramped up as the season moves along. Uh gets knocked out of that playoff game, but they used him in like the first
43:28quarter. um and now could be a real threat to Courtland Sutton or is that sort of we're getting a little bit ahead
43:34of ourselves. Sutton looked great in the preseason game, don't get me wrong, but uh Sutton I think had three catches, 60
43:40yards, something like that, but Pat Bryant young on the field in in two wide receiver sets when Jaylen Wadd wasn't there. We know he's going to be on the
43:49field in three wide receiver sets with Sutton and Wadd. Uh and it's a team that passes a ton. Can Pat Bryant make an
43:55impact this year without a Courtland Sutton regression or injury? Or is this something that's based entirely on either Sutton or Wadd missing time?
44:05I think for Pat Bryant to have a big impact, you'd have to see a big upgrade in Bon Knicks's play. Now, I know some
44:12people like look at the math and they're like, there's opportunity, right? Bon Knicks led the NFL in dropbacks last year and he's probably projected to do
44:17so again this year. At least come close.
44:19I think Dak Pres Prescott would throw his hat, you know, his name in the hat there. But, um, Knicks just wasn't good
44:25enough to sustain three pass catchers, I don't think. And I think that's still probably true where it's like, yeah, if Waddle or Sutton miss time, Pep Bryant
44:34is absolutely fantasy viable. Other than that, I feel like you'll be chasing your tail where it's like, yeah, maybe one week he has some production, but it's
44:42like predicting which week that will be, especially because they still have Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims on the roster.
44:46So, it's not like those guys are going away completely. Um, I I don't see it. I don't see this one personally. I think
44:53this is like the whole offense is going to go through Sutton and Wadd and that's probably it. I think everyone else will
44:59just be role players and they'll probably spread the ball around outside of those two guys.
45:04>> Let's talk about Katon Mitchell and let's talk about a running back who's sort of on the rise here. and Mitchell
45:11I'm really excited about and but you're having to pay a premium price tag for him now in fantasy drafts and this has
45:17been another player where uh it's the idea that you're in a Mike McDaniel offense. We know that he was rested when
45:23Kamani Vidal played in in the in the first preseason game- which is sort of I think a big signal and then it's really
45:30just the the air yards, the passcatching role, the electric speed and the history of seeing running back success. Are you in on Katon Mitchell as like a handcuff
45:40plus potential player that we can use in our flex even with a Omar and Hampton being fully healthy or is are fantasy
45:48managers sort of pushing him up to a range that he's going to struggle to get uh to return value on? I'm looking at
45:54the most recent ADPs Brett he's going ahead of like Kyle Manangi ahead of Tyler Algier. He's brushing up on like Rashad White, Chuba Hubard. I I've seen
46:03uh M uh Katon Mitchell go as high as like the ninth round in some of these FFPC main events, NFC prime times. Like
46:11people are all in on this one.
46:13>> It's it's a really tough thing to figure out. I will say this, like I think he probably you could make the argument he
46:19should be the first backup running back taken.
46:21>> I think that's a great that's a great take right there.
46:24>> Yeah. So, like, you know, and then and then I consider the fact that Mike McDaniel put up literal wanted posters
46:29throughout the locker room during free agency to make sure the GM and the coach went out and got this guy. And then you
46:35mix in the fact that he's had so much success with this archetype of running back. It's like well shoot between Raheem Moser and Devin Achan it's like
46:43well I yeah he kind of fits the bill of what McDaniel wants to do and it doesn't necessarily mean Hampton has to die but
46:50it does give you concern about Hampton but also like man this role could be really expansive where you do get the
46:55flex opportunity and then god forbid something does happen to Hampton you have a legit stud on your hands gosh I just saw a video of him yesterday like
47:02cooking a cornerback on a route >> and yeah they're running like wheel routes with him he looks unbelievable um I'm I'm open-minded to this on. I think
47:09Mitchell is actually going to come out the gates and be a really strong fantasy asset. But I think that the Omarian
47:15Hampton, it's sort of a if we're betting on the Chargers offense to be among the best in football, then Omarian Hampton
47:23is going to be a strong pick because I think he's going to score a ton of touchdowns. It's very simple. Um I think
47:28Hampton could fall in the end zone a ton here, Brett. So are you kind of fading Hampton at like the two-3 turn? Um or or
47:37are you do you see both a potential that they can both uh sort of coexist and return value where they're going?
47:43>> Two return I'm a little more on board with. I've seen like the last few drafts I've done Theo, he's going like 13th,
47:4914th, 15th pick. And >> I've seen those two, but >> I'm out there. I think that's the worst early second round pick you can make.
47:55Quite frankly, >> I just there's enough >> enough moving in the direction against him that I'm just like it gives me
48:02enough pause. I'm just really I'm really concerned about that ADP.
48:05So like his fit in that offense might not be good for one. If you look at the the super successful like 22 and 23 that
48:11McDaniel had in Miami, it was super outside zone heavy. That's not Hampton's game. The the Mitchell factors also there. And then just like there's some
48:20biomechanical limitations. Like he needs to live in this gap duo heavy scheme.
48:25Like he was perfect for the Greg Roman scheme. Like picture perfect. Greg Roman's no longer there. So um I'm not I'm not like I'm not trying to cast
48:33massive shadows on I'm just like slightly in doubt where it's like in the third round I think it's a great pick.
48:39Early second I'm out.
48:40>> Scott and I took him at the 209 in an FFPC main event. We took Puka at at four, followed up with Hampton, and then
48:48we took uh Tyler Warren at tight end premium. So like I I think 209 210 that sort of range for Hampton, I agree with
48:55you. when you get to like 13 overall, taking Hampton ahead of like uh uh Chase Brown uh or an A Chan, a guy who's gonna
49:03get a ton of ton of touches.
49:05>> I think I think that's a tougher bet. I think also taking him ahead of >> a couple of those really high-end wide
49:10receivers is probably the wrong way. I mean, can't taking Hampton ahead of Justin Jefferson when he falls at the beginning of the second round. Can't get
49:16with that one. Um, and imagine being the dude who works at like Kinko's or FedEx and you have Mike McDaniel come in there
49:23and he's like, "I need to make homemade Wanted posters with uh with Katon Mitchell and Alec Engold." And he's like, "What?" Like, "What are we doing?"
49:31That would be the the weirdest uh weirdest uh experience for anybody working in that profession. Um, talking about another running back who looks
49:37phenomenal in the preseason, Mike Washington, who's an ADP rocket ship now. Starting to see him go in like the 13th round, the 12th round. I have a ton
49:47of exposure to Washington in dynasty and in best baseball and then in reddraft I was taking him in like the 15th 16th
49:5417th round. Now he's gone up like like a rocket ship. Looks great. We know the Clint Kubak scheme is there. How good
50:03would Mike Washington be if Ashton Genty were to miss time?
50:08It's funny. I recorded a show earlier this morning with Scott and we were talking about this. It's like, and Scott was even like, you know, hey, we're
50:15we've been skeptical of of Ashton Genty already. Is like this more fire for that? And I'm like, no, I'm I'm still
50:22cool with Genty. I think he's awesome.
50:23Um Mike Washington though looks fantastic. I was super high on him as a prospect. I know my my podcast partner Scott Barrett was not, but I think
50:31you're seeing the vision. It like he's actually we were just talking about Omar and Hampton. He's like Omar and Hampton Light. Big, physical, fast, good hands,
50:40pass pro. like he kind of checks a lot of boxes for them, man. And like I think the the upside case for him is like
50:46yeah, obviously if Genty misses time, but could he carve out a 35% snap share there? Maybe he could. Maybe that gives
50:52you some flex viability. Maybe he gets some high leverage touches in the red zone cuz he he looks so dynamic with the
50:57ball in his hands. So, um I don't know.
51:00I I think for Dynasty, you got to be a little worried about Genty. Just a little just a little just a little. But
51:05um >> I I I mean I think Genty's insulated with the pass catching role. I think that the argument where >> if they're going to use Genty, they say
51:12expanded pass catching role, does Genty get to 70 catches this year and they want to keep him fresh by mixing in
51:19Washington as sort of like a hammer.
51:21>> I think there is a chance they both pay off. Uh and also when you look at how consolidated this Vegas offense could be
51:28between Brock Bowers and the running backs, like no wide receivers running away with it. Sounds like Trey Tucker.
51:33Uh we're going to keep an eye on on the wide receiver room in Vegas, but there's a chance that the the viable guys are
51:38Bowers, Genty, and then Washington sort of being a really fun baseball pick. Uh last player to ask you about, Brett, I
51:44know you got to get out of here. Uh, every guest has talked about Terrence Ferguson and he's moved up a ton. But
51:49there's another tight end who uh is sort of just sitting there at like really low tight end 2 range, Kenyon Sadi, who's
51:57missed some time. But it feels weird to see a player drafted this highly after so many rookie tight ends have provided
52:05fantasy value for us over the last couple years. But this year's first tight end off the board is just being dead and buried by fantasy managers.
52:13your thoughts on Sadi who should be back at in training camp for the Jets pretty soon.
52:18>> Yeah, I mean what are we doing? We're like all the way out on this guy already. Like I don't I don't understand
52:25that. Like this is one of the most physically gifted tight ends we've ever seen in the league. Um he's a dynamic
52:30player with the ball in his hands.
52:31That's where the NFL's gone, too, by the way. So like the answer to the two high coverage boom we've seen is we want
52:37tight ends that are great with the ball in their hands, run after catch stuff.
52:40That's that's been that's the Tucker Craft. That's the Harold Fannon Jr.
52:43That's the Dalton Schultz. That's Sam Laaporta. That's George KD. You know what I mean? So, like he is the archetype we're looking for. He also has
52:50enough juice to go win some routes as well. So, like I don't know. I It's super weird that people are completely
52:56out on him. Is it concerning with the injuries? Yes. Sigman Blue made a really good point yesterday. Not a lot of like
53:02breakout seasons start with the phrase, but he was dealing with an injury, but a lot of bus seasons do start with that
53:08phrase. So, like I don't know. I'm not all the way out on him though by any means. I I do you think Mason Taylor's
53:14giving people some pause too cuz he's looked pretty good or >> I no I think I think it's just the general Jets and I think people had
53:20mixed opinions on Sadi the prospect. I know we were higher on him than many. Um but for me I think also the fact that
53:26Omar Cooper has been sort of slow out the gate and is struggling to take snaps away from like Isaiah Williams.
53:32>> That's a good thing for Sadique. It's a massively good thing with the Yak. It's that for me it's Cooper's argument for
53:38Cooper this year was like you said like uh you know utilizing that Yak Sadique could end up just being the Yak guy in
53:44this offense and they get the ball in his hands and he >> he's as fast as Jir Gibbs and he's a
53:49tight end. I mean it's a pretty simple argument there. Yakab ability is strong.
