A.J. Brown

NegativeMatchup1:29

AJ Brown and Drake May is one of the most common stacks in the tournament field right now; pairing them together does not provide a massive edge in the overall field, though it can still help reach the promised land if both players perform well. The source notes that if you have a Drake May and AJ Brown team, you better get a little bit different with your build because it's not giving you a massive edge in the overall field.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveValue2:31

Amon-Ra St. Brown goes off the board at pick 7 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft; goes after Jackson Smith-Njigba at pick 6 and before Christian McCaffrey at pick 10. One team in the seven hole drafted wide receiver, wide receiver, pairing St. Brown with CeeDee Lamb, which the source characterizes as a potential ton of firepower, suggesting this dual-receiver stack offers significant upside.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

PositiveValue5:35

Ashton Jeanty selected at pick 12 in this FFPC draft. RotoWire's 'structural lean' is to take Jeanty over Amarian Hampton because it provides access to preferred wide receivers at the 34 turn (second round). Taking Jeanty at 12 avoids the problem of running back targets disappearing by the 5-6 turn, making it preferable to a hero RB approach that would leave the team without strong running back options later.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeValue0:21

Bjan Robinson goes off the board at pick 101 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft, typically at pick 102; slight ADP shift downward in this draft.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue3:22

Brock Bowers selected at pick 9 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft. The tight end premium scoring elevates his ADP significantly compared to standard formats. RotoWire really loves Bowers' value in Team 9's draft construction, pairing him with George Pickkins.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeDepth Chart30:54

Carnell Tate was selected in round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft, going off the board as one of four wide receivers taken in that round alongside Parker Washington, BTJ, and Marvin Harrison Jr.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveValue4:42

RotoWire has significant Lamb exposure this year and likes pairing him structurally with other receivers. Many analysts are falling into a low-Lamb camp; Scott Barrett ranks him as his 19th overall player. However, Lamb is 'really interesting when you get him in the second round' and offers stability when paired with running back options like Amarian Hampton at pick 12, providing structural balance between hero RB upside and receiver stability while avoiding the problem of running back targets disappearing by the 5-6 turn.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeValue3:22

Christian McCaffrey goes off the board at pick 10 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft, after Jackson Smith-Njigba (pick 6), Amon-Ra St. Brown (pick 7), and Jonathan Taylor (pick 105). RotoWire notes he sometimes falls in one-off drafts but typically goes in the first round.

Insight page

Cole Kmet

NegativeDepth Chart26:00

Kmet goes early in draft due to positional scarcity pressure created by early tight end selections; part of the cascade effect when premium TEs are taken early.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeValue6:14

Jacob Gibbs is extremely high on Loveland and views current ADP as about right; Loveland has been going from the mid-second round and never falls past the 30th overall pick recently. Gibbs is willing to take him in this range despite typically preferring to avoid tight ends early, showing strong conviction. Additionally, Gibbs notes Loveland could lead the wide receiver position in scoring during the final eight weeks of the season, making the 34th turn (second round) a great draft spot for him.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

NegativeRole34:07

Dallas Goedert was drafted and structurally makes sense as the team's first tight end, though the source does not consider it an edge pick.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeRole8:06

Jacob Gibbs expresses nervousness about DeVonta Smith's offense, noting concerns about the Eagles' offensive line quality and Jalen Hurts' comfort level. If the offensive line isn't great and Hurts is uncomfortable, the Eagles will run more under-center concepts, which could limit Smith's timing-based routes and create speculative risk.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeProjection18:18

Wilson is described as one of the most interesting and important players to evaluate; he was scoring at WR1 level before injury, has always been a high target-share guy, and the Jets offense with Gino Smith as a stabilizing force is not expected to be putrid. The source tweeted positively about Wilson falling in a nice draft range in round four. However, Wilson's target share upside is tied to offensive scheme; the previous coordinator (Tanner Engstrom) moved Wilson around with motion and condensed formations to make him unpredictable and reduce defensive focus, which pushed his target share to elite levels. With a new coaching staff (Frank Wright), there's uncertainty about whether this scheme will continue, and the source is worried about a potential cap on target share if the offense becomes more traditional, as defenses can simply focus on stopping one player if he's the only option.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveValue29:05

The source really loves George Pickens' value in Team 9's draft; WR with positive draft assessment.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

PositiveValue6:33

Harold Fannon Jr. is mentioned as one of several tight end options available in the round five to six turn, suggesting he can be acquired in later rounds as a league-winner alternative to early tight end investment. He was selected in round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft, going off the board alongside five other tight ends (Travis Kelce, Isaiah Likely, Kyle Pitts, Tucker Kraft, and Sam Laaporta).

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeDepth Chart26:00

Likely goes within the next 12 picks after early tight end selections, part of the positional run on tight ends created by early premium TE picks. In round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft, Likely was selected alongside five other tight ends (Travis Kelce, Harold Fannon Jr., Kyle Pitts, Tucker Craft, and Sam LaPorta).

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeValue2:02

Jamar Chase goes off the board at pick 3 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft. Later in the draft, Chase was selected at pick 103 by team three, who then stacked him with Joe Burrow in the 7-8 turn, creating a quarterback-wide receiver correlation.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveUsage25:10

The source projects Gibbs at 14-16 rushes per game rather than 20, with heavy pass-game involvement and 5 carries for backup; strength of Lions offense is Gibbs as pass catcher and in space, especially in dome games with strong passing game pieces (St. Brown, Williams, LaPorta). Pass-catching upside and space creation are emphasized as the optimal way to deploy him. Gibbs' presence as the lead running back in Detroit (without backup David Montgomery) supports a faster-paced, pass-heavy Lions offense that benefits pass catchers.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeValue3:22

James Cook goes off the board at pick 8 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft; selected before Brock Bowers at pick 9 and Christian McCaffrey at pick 10.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection25:27

The source projects Goff as a potential breakout quarterback candidate, comparing him to 2025 Matthew Stafford's performance. The thesis is that Goff could post a career-high 42 touchdown passes (versus his usual ~35) and finish as QB6 despite being drafted as QB15–QB16, driven by Detroit's fast-paced offense, secondary weakness, dome games, and high pass volume. This represents significant upside relative to his draft position.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

NegativeValue6:00

The source identifies pairing Jaxon Smith-Njigba with Kenneth Walker (both Seahawks) as a dangerous build, flagging concentration risk in stacking a pass-catcher and running back from the same offense in the same draft.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeValue38:24

The source and co-host debate their early quarterback investment in Jaden Daniels at pick 7.12 in their FFPC draft, expressing uncertainty about whether this was optimal. They question whether alternative builds using later-round receivers like Jaden Reed or Josh Downs paired with Rashad White might have produced a better team. The concern is that quarterback options will remain available at the 9/10 and 11/12 turns, suggesting Daniels may have been drafted earlier than necessary.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveBreakout12:32

Waddle is primed to be the offensive focal point in Denver, a team that passed at a very high rate last year; the source views him as a potential complete game changer for fantasy if healthy and everything comes together. The source selected Waddle at the 401 turn as the preferred pick over Garrett Wilson, T. Higgins, and Lad Macy, indicating strong conviction in his upside as the primary receiving weapon on a high-volume passing offense.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeDepth Chart32:12

Jaylen Warren went off the board during the draft; the source was not pressed at running back at that point in the draft.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeDepth Chart31:43

Joe Burrow was selected in the 7-8 turn by team three in this high-stakes FFPC draft, who had previously selected Jamar Chase at 1-03, creating a quarterback-wide receiver correlation stack. The Burrow-T. Higgins stack is described as super super common in the tournament field.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeValue2:02

Jonathan Taylor goes off the board at pick 105 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft; goes after Jackson Smith-Njigba at pick 6, Amon-Ra St. Brown at pick 7, James Cook at pick 8, Brock Bowers at pick 9, and Christian McCaffrey at pick 10.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeProjection29:54

The source strongly believes Jonathan Brooks is being undervalued at 10th-11th round ADP; projects Brooks will be living in round 6 by end of August, with a small chance of fifth-round picks emerging. The source attributes this to Carolina's enthusiasm and the team sitting him out the first preseason game as a precautionary measure rather than an injury concern, suggesting the market will catch up to his actual value. If Brooks is still a 10th-11th rounder in your draft, it's time to level up competition in your fantasy league.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeDepth Chart34:23

Jordan Mason went off the board as teams attempted to catch up at running back during the draft.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveValue34:25

Jordan Tyson was priced the best of all the rookies to return an incredible amount of value, per the source's assessment. The source describes Tyson as 'a punch in the face' with the team 'living very clean' structurally, highlighting his exceptional value proposition relative to other rookie options.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection14:18

Josh Allen is viewed as likely to light fantasy on fire this year; there is a massive gap between quarterback one and quarterback two, making him a foregone conclusion for QB1 overall. The source feels really good about everything coming out of Buffalo, including DJ Moore pairing, Khalil Shakira as two guys to work with in the improv game, and Don Hane's health. This could be the best version of the Bills offense since the prime Stefon Diggs era, with Allen at the peak of his powers and capable of scoring 25+ PPR points per game any season. Allen went off the board at pick 401 in this high-stakes FFPC draft, three rounds ahead of Lamar Jackson (QB2), highlighting a significant gap in quarterback valuation this year.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveRole8:19

The source advocates for reaching on Josh Downs earlier than ADP suggests, citing strong 'drum beats' and projected two-wide-receiver set usage. The source acknowledges the Josh Downs–Tyler Warren stack is a 'tough run out' but is willing to reach and lock in Downs because of his expected field presence in two-WR sets.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeValue4:03

Justin Jefferson goes off the board before pick 12 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeValue6:00

The source identifies pairing Kenneth Walker with Jaxon Smith-Njigba (both Seahawks) as a dangerous build, flagging concentration risk in stacking a running back and pass-catcher from the same offense in the same draft.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeValue23:03

Pitts is explicitly ruled out of consideration in this tight end selection, indicating the source does not view him as a preferred option in this draft range compared to LaPorta. Pitts went early in the draft due to positional scarcity pressure created by early tight end selections; he was part of the cascade effect when premium TEs are taken early, going off the board in round six alongside five other tight ends.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeValue31:22

Lamar Jackson was selected as QB2 in this high-stakes FFPC draft, going off the board three rounds behind Josh Allen (QB1), highlighting a significant gap in quarterback valuation this year.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury7:11

The source notes injury optimism with Malik Nabers and acknowledges he is elite talent but carries some risk. The source had to play catch-up on Nabers because they did not anticipate the possibility of a week one appearance for him. Jacob Gibbs currently has Nabers ranked behind Ibuka and Zay Flowers but ahead of DeVonta Smith, Chris Olave, Jaylen Waddle, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Luther Burden. Gibbs notes Nabers could push much higher and would not be shocked if he finishes as a top-five wide receiver over the final eight weeks of the season if healthy, given the Falcons' soft schedule.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart30:54

Marvin Harrison Jr. was selected in round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft, going off the board as one of four wide receivers taken in that round alongside Parker Washington, Carnell Tate, and BTJ.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeDepth Chart31:12

Michael Pittman Jr. was selected at pick 70.2 in this high-stakes FFPC draft, going off the board immediately after the round-six wide receivers.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveValue28:01

The source prefers Parker Washington and a 2027 first over Lad Maki in dynasty trade; believes there's a chance the gap between Washington and Maki is closer than ADP suggests if Washington's runout is similar to what was seen at the end of last season, making the package valuable. Washington was selected in round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft alongside three other wide receivers (Carnell Tate, BTJ, and Marvin Harrison Jr.).

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeValue2:02

Puka Nacua goes off the board at pick 4 in this FFPC 1.5-point tight end premium format draft.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveProjection22:45

LaPorta is the clear tight end choice for the source, driven by Detroit's secondary weakness, dome game schedule, and potential for shootouts. He had a tight end one overall season previously and averaged a career-high yards per route rate last year, positioning him as an outside shot at tight end two or three overall despite being drafted later than consensus top-three tight ends. LaPorta is one of the most likely names to lead the position in routes run; he had a 90% route rate in some games last year when healthy, the highest it's ever been. The source feels really good about the pick with touchdown upside; Detroit's fast-paced offense with Jir Gibbs and Jared Goff passing frequently supports higher target volume.

Insight page
NegativeDepth Chart30:30

Sam Laaporta was selected in round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft as the source's team's pick, going off the board as one of six tight ends taken in that round alongside Travis Kelce, Isaiah Likely, Harold Fannon Jr., Kyle Pitts, and Tucker Craft.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveProjection17:00

Higgins is one of three high-upside receiving weapons (alongside AJ Brown and Nico Collins) that can put up massive weeks in combination with Jonathan Taylor for Team Five's draft structure. Additionally, the Tee Higgins–Joe Burrow stack is described as super super common in the tournament field, indicating heavy exposure to this pairing.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveValue21:28

McLaurin was the source's target pick in this draft round but did not fall to the team. The source later praised Team 9's McLaurin pick, noting that if their Mandre pick works out, it could be a really dangerous build, indicating confidence in McLaurin's value and fit in that roster construction.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeDepth Chart30:30

Travis Kelce was selected in round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft, going off the board as one of six tight ends taken in that round alongside Isaiah Likely, Harold Fannon Jr., Kyle Pitts, Tucker Craft, and Sam Laaporta.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeRole5:00

RotoWire is off McBride for 2024, explicitly stating he is not in consideration for this draft.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeDepth Chart30:30

Tucker Craft was selected in round six of this high-stakes FFPC draft, going off the board as one of six tight ends taken in that round alongside Travis Kelce, Isaiah Likely, Harold Fannon Jr., Kyle Pitts, and Sam Laaporta.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveProjection10:36

In 1.5 premium PPR scoring for FFPC, Warren is being taken frequently in the early-to-mid third round when teams lack an edge; the Colts' projected shootout environment and trailing scenarios should boost his reception volume significantly. Warren could end up as the highest-targeted Colt with very high pass-catching ability, functioning as a PPR cheat code this year; with 1.5 premium scoring, he could put up some really big weeks. The source's team is built around a two tight end strategy with Warren and LaPorta, with Warren occupying one flex spot, and the source explicitly states that the team's success depends heavily on Warren 'absolutely smashing,' indicating Warren is a critical performance dependency for the overall roster construction.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection8:00

Jacob Gibbs is enamored with Zay Flowers and currently has him ranked ahead of Malik Nabers, placing him in his top tier of receivers alongside Ibuka, DeVonta Smith, Chris Olave, Jaylen Waddle, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Luther Burden.

0:06live drafting a $350 entry FFPC big gorilla contest going for a million bucks. Theo Griminger, lead fantasy analyst right here at Rotoire, joined
0:15shortly by Jacob Gibbs of CBS. Jacob's going to join the stream in a minute, but the draft just started, so we're
0:21going to get started. Bjan Robinson goes off the board at the 101. Usually he's been going 102, but Jamir Gibbs, uh,
0:28still holding out a little bit. I believe that's Tommy Ley in the one hole. I could be wrong on that one. Uh,
0:34former overall champ over at NFC. I think that's him in in this 350 streets.
0:39Not sure. That a lot of people change their names this time of year. Uh we're picking out of the 12 spot today, which
0:46is a really fun spot to pick at because it gives us options where we could get access to some very strong running backs
0:54as well as some wide receivers. And then you always have the temptation of tight end in FFPC. If you want to compete
1:02against me in FFPC, then use the code Theo25 if you're a new user. You're going to get 25 free dollars at sign up.
1:11There's awesome contests including a $35 best baseball tournament that pays out $100,000. You could get access to that essentially for uh $10 with that $25
1:22free ones you're going to get from us at Rotoire. Jonathan Taylor goes at the 105, Jamar Chase at the three, Pukanakua
1:29at the four. So Aman Ross St. Brown, Jackson Smith and Jigba, and Christian McAffrey all go behind Jonathan Taylor in this one. We are waiting for Jacob
1:38Gibbs. He'll join us shortly. But we've got the 12th overall pick here. I I have the queue completely loaded. There's a
1:45bunch of really really strong options here that we can go with here at the 12 spot.
1:51We see JSN go off the board at six.
1:54Probably going to see Aman Ross St.
1:56Brown. There he goes right at seven. So like clockwork. And then we'll see Brock Bowers go off the board very shortly.
2:02Again, 1.5 point tight end premium format here at FFPC. James Cook goes at the eight spot and then Bowers goes at nine.
2:24And right like clockwork, we've got Jacob Gibbs for our pick. So Jacob, we lose out on James Cook. He goes at the
2:31eight. Brock Bowers, the dream of Bowers falling to us at the the one two turn.
2:36It was never going to happen. He goes at nine. I've loaded up the queue. We'll talk about it when we're OTC. Christian
2:43McCaffrey calls all the way to 10 in this one. We're seeing some one-off drafts where he falls, but Okay, so Justin Jefferson goes off the board.
2:50Jacob, talk us through the process. We have two picks here at 12. So, we could go running back, running back, we go
2:57wide receiver, running back, and I know you're not on Trey McBride this year, so he's not not even in consideration.
3:03>> I'm intrigued by the idea of running back, running back. If you had two in mind that you had here, I would hear you
3:08out. Um, who I've been thinking was Amarian Hampton and CD Lamb. I really like pairing those two together. You have the stability with Lamb. And I do
3:14think there's upside and then there's massive upside with Hampton who's a bit of more of an unknown. But if you want
3:19to go two running backs, I'm curious who they would be.
3:21>> Well, I'm in on Omar and Hampton. He was second in the queue here for me.
3:26>> Genty still on the board.
3:27>> Genty still on the board. So, I think we could go The one thing I'll point out is let's lock in Hampton and then give
3:32ourselves another 60 seconds to talk about it. Yeah.
3:35>> Um, and I'll I'll run this down. Um, if we go Genty here, we're going to get access to a number of the wide receivers
3:42that I know you like at the 34 turn.
3:44Let's lock in Hampton.
3:46>> Yep.
3:47>> CD Lamb's really interesting when you get him in the second round, though. So, >> Lamb in the second round. It just sort
3:52of your comfort level of maybe starting out with a a hero RB approach as opposed to walking out of the end of round four.
4:00Cuz the one problem with the five six turn is a lot of those fun running back targets of ours will be gone by then. So
4:08like a lot of the Scataboo tier even Bashel Tutin they're starting to go before that 512. So my structural lean would be going Ashton Genty here.
4:17>> Me too.
4:18>> Okay. So let's go Genty and we'll lock it in. So we're going with >> Yeah. It's the It's the You're trying to
4:22win a million bucks here. Jacob, how are you going to spend your 500K? [laughter] >> I think this is a uh I have got no idea.
4:29I've never thought about even having that much money. I think this is a unique start, too, because I think often people are faced with the decision
4:36between Hampton or Gent, you know what I mean? People are like kind of choosing one of those two, falling into those
4:42camps. Um, I really like pairing them together here. I I've got Scott Barrett coming on the box score soon and I know
4:49he's very low on Lamb. Um, I think he had him as like his 19th overall player or something like that. Um, and I know a
4:56lot of people are kind of falling into that camp and I really want to hear more of that from them because I I've ended
5:03up with a lot of land this year. Um, so I really like structurally starting with these two and then also just from a game
5:09theory perspective like pairing them together if both of these guys hit Hampton and Genty. Um, I think we've got a massive amount of upside here and
5:17there are a lot of late round or middle to late round receivers that we really like too. Wow. Achabuka here. Yeah, I
5:23mean we we knew he probably was never making it back to us, but I would I would have loved to to see it.
5:28>> Yeah, we're seeing it Ibuka in in NFC, which is uh non-tightend premium. He's been living in the second round. We're
5:34starting to see it in NFPC. And the big gorilla contest, this is paying out a million dollars to first. You get paid
5:40out obviously very well if you're in in the top 10. You're also uh trying to win money for the regular season. It's a
5:47great contest for sure. Um I'm going to be drafting a couple of these right here on the stream. This is Jacob Gibbs'
5:52first FFPC draft. One of the sharpest guys out there. So, welcome to the FFPC streets, Jacob. Uh, really, really fun drafting with you today. We see Kenneth
6:00Walker go with to the JSN team. That's a dangerous build, I think, with JSN, Kenneth Walker. You see, uh, one team in
6:07the seven hole go wide receiver, wide receiver. Almond Ross St. Brown and CD Lamb. That's a potential ton of firepower there. So, different way
6:14different ways to build out. We'll see Coloulston Lovelin go here in the next few picks. What what was your what's like the the highest you would take
6:21Loveland? I know you don't play a whole lot of tight end premium, but he's sort of been going from the midse and then
6:27never seems to fall past the 301 uh recently. Jacob, where are you comfortable taking him in that range in this format?
6:33>> Yeah, I think about here is right for me. I'm extremely high on on Loveland.
6:38Um just had a really interesting conversation with Ryan Heath about his article, The Anatomy of a League Winner, and he's just like so hardressed to ever
6:45go with a tight end in this range. I'm really curious how that might change in this format. Um, but especially the ADP
6:52that you sent me that we're looking at here on FPC where potentially you can get some of these Sam Laora Harold
6:57Fannon Jr. um Tucker Craft type names at the round five six turn or whatever. Um I think I would I would probably be more
7:06inclined to go running back receiver early on. Try to hit on some league winners here if you can get those tight
7:10ends a little bit later.
7:12>> Now shout out to uh Nikki Banks and a number of people in the in the chat right now. uh very very active chat.
7:17We'll get to some of Shout out to Kyle's money. Um one comment that we've gotten and we're going to have to deal with
7:23this one.
7:24>> Um I had I rose him up big time >> in my in my rankings and I'm I think I might still be a little too low. The
7:31injury optimism is there with Malik Neighbors. Obviously a lot can change in camp, but what's sort of your comfort level here with uh Malik Neighbors? I I
7:42know that it's a player that we've sort of had to play catch-up on because we didn't necessarily anticipate even the possibility of a week one appearance for
7:49him, but elite talent, but a little bit of risk. Where are you at on this one?
7:54>> Yeah, I currently have neighbors behind Ibuka [snorts] and behind Z Flowers, who you know I'm enamored with, and just the
8:01head of Dvont Smith and Chris Ave and Jaylen Wadd, Lad Mani, Luther Burden.
8:06So, that's a group of five receivers that I really really like, but I do think that there's some risk built in
8:12with each of them. Um, whether I mean, we seem to have forgotten it with a, but like there's the health risk with him.
8:19Um, there's a chance that things look a little bit different. He doesn't run quite as hot with touchdowns. Devonte Smith, I'm a little bit nervous about
8:25the offense there. We think it'll be a lot better, but um, if the offensive line isn't great, if Jaylen Herz is a
8:31little bit uncomfortable, we'll do more of the under center stuff. um if we have the the time we need to get those timing
8:36based routes down to Smith. That scares me a little bit. A lot of speculative upside there with Manki and Burden and
8:42all these guys. W is one that you and I both feel really great about. So that's kind of where I'm putting Neighbors
8:46right now. But honestly, he could push so much higher than that, right? Like would it be any surprise at all if at
8:51the end of the year if he's healthy, they've got a really soft schedule at the end of the year. Neighbors could be
8:55like the wide receiver one in fantasy, man. At the like the last like eight weeks of the season, that wouldn't shock
9:00me at all. during that time if he leads a position in scoring. There goes Lovelin at 3-1. Um, so that's I I'm
9:06having a hard time with it. I don't know exactly where to to push him. If we get him here at the 34 turn, I think that
9:12feels like a great spot for him.
9:14>> Yeah, I agreed. Um, it's interesting when when we talk about So Neighbors went off the board here at the at the
9:20210. So Neighbors No Neighbors off the board. We're not going to have any any uh possibility of access to him. And
9:27>> London.
9:28>> Yeah, ahead ahead of London. London's been falling a little bit here. I think people are getting a little bit scared
9:33of uh potentially Cooper Rush seeing some time at quarterback for Atlanta this year with uh you know the the potential injuries to the to Tua and as
9:42well as Michael Penn. I I thought that that Cody Carpenter and Alex Dunlap had a really good take on this where Cooper
9:48Rush like hyperargeted CD Lamb in his starts a few years ago when Dak was out and he actually doesn't mind it for
9:54Drake London. I think London could start to be a real value for drafters as he falls. The one hole is Tommy Ley. So
10:01Tommy, I see him in New York when I draft NFC. He took down the Silver Bullet and the NFC, I believe it was the
10:09Classic that year. He had two overall winners the same year in NFC. Won a ton of money that year. So, you never know
10:15who you're going to bump up against in these drafts, but a big time overall winner in this draft with us. Uh see
10:21Kairen Williams go off the board at the start of round three here. We're going to see Jeremiah Love. We're going to see
10:26Bree Hall in this round. We're probably looking at breaking ties to wide receiver. One other player that could be in consideration here. Your thoughts on
10:36Tyler Warren? Uh he's been going higher and higher, but in in the 1.5 premium uh PPR scoring for FFPC, a lot of teams I
10:45feel like when they don't feel like there's an edge when they're picking, they just take Tyler Warren in this range. like Lovelin goes and then maybe
10:52five six picks later you see Warren. Uh your open mind to Tyler Warren if he's OTC here if we're OTC and he's available
10:59to us.
11:02Jacob you're muted.
11:05That's how I would view it too. I think the way you phrase it is perfect where it's like an open-mindedness. If you
11:09don't love what's on the board there, if you don't feel like you have an edge with any of your picks and it's like ah
11:14I kind of view a lot of these guys similarly. I think Warren is really interesting in this format where the Colts could find themselves potentially
11:21playing from behind a lot like um Jared Sm's fantasy environment score we looked at Vegas expectations has them protracted to play in a lot of shootouts
11:29and I think they might be trailing in a lot of those games and you might see a ton of receptions for Warren. So in this
11:34format specifically I think it could be really boosted. I'm shock Pickkins is still on the board right now.
11:38>> Yeah, there's a chance there's a non-zero chance he falls to us. I Pickins is weird. I don't know why people are starting to let him fall a
11:45little bit, but uh we have I've loaded the queue. I don't know if you have that open, uh Jacob RQ on your
11:53>> I'll get that. Yeah.
11:54>> Yeah. So, I'm not sure also if you're in our I know Tommy's in our draft, but Tommy's in the other end of the board.
11:59So, uh Tommy Tommy commented, but if you're in our draft, let us know.
12:03>> Cool.
12:05>> Okay. So, Pickkins goes >> Yeah. So, the other oneoff position player at the 401
12:15that's interesting is Josh Allen, even though he's the QB1.
12:20Okay. And we see Josh Allen go, so we don't have to make that decision. Maybe we'll talk about how you're treating
12:25Josh Allen when we get when we get past our picks.
12:29Okay. So, I have in our queue Tyler Warren, who I think structurally is great here. Uh it it opens us up to some
12:37wide receivers at the 56 turn without having to you know I know you like some of the tight ends there at 56, but Tyler
12:43Warren I think is doesn't it also doesn't prevent us from taking one tight end at the 56 turn because we can flex
12:49one of these guys with a 1.5 premium.
12:52401 is starting to be really good price on Warren. I've got Garrett Wilson. I've got Jaylen Wadd. I've got T. Higgins. Uh
12:58I could throw Lad Macy's name into the mix here as well. little less enamored with him than some. Uh Luther Burden,
13:06this would be very early for him. I would say if you're good with it, locking down a Tyler Warren here at this
13:14range is I think it's going to be it's going to be plus in terms of like the ADP value you're getting.
13:19>> I think Jaylen Wadd is the pick here for sure.
13:21>> So, let's take let's take Wadd. Let's take Wadd.
13:24>> Okay. So, now I'm down with Waddle. I we'll talk about Jacob's takes on Waddle. If you listen to our show the
13:29other day, he broke it down, but we'll break down the sort of the bullcase on Waddle. We get a wide receiver. We have
13:34two running backs. Uh Wilson's really interesting to me. T. Higgins, obviously a spike guy. Um Lad Macy, I I get the
13:42allure of him. I probably wouldn't want to stand for him. And then Warren for me, I just think he could end up being
13:49the highest targeted colt. I think he's got very high pass catching numbers ability. Um he's he's just going to be a
13:56PPR cheat code I think this year and with the 1.5 premium he could put up some really big weeks.
14:02>> Yeah. So personally I would take T.
14:04Higgins here or Lad Mani. Um but I like where you're at with Warren. I I think there's a lot of tight ends to like and
14:10I always get Josh Downs. We don't know how it's going to go and I don't have very much Warren so I'm totally fine
14:14locking him in here.
14:15>> Let's take Warren on the ADP value. So our start through and that's that's a great great thing about splitting teams
14:21with people where >> you know you talk about it. I mean I get it T. Higgins we could have even taken
14:26T. Higgins over Jaylen Wadd. It's weird to take a wide receiver two over uh wide receiver one but T. Higgins is a special
14:34kind of wide receiver 2. It also potentially opens us up to some Joe Burrow correlation later on. But I think this was the right move structurally to
14:42go with Warren. Um, Warren, Warren is just just super super interesting to me.
14:48I know there's some people pushing back, but again, 1.5 point tight end premium.
14:52I think Warren's really appealing. Talk about uh Josh Allen, how you're handling him. He's sort of in a league of his own
14:58where I don't want to take him in this range. If he fell to like the fifth round, I think it would be a whole
15:04another conversation. And I think in some one-off situations, we could see that. But there's like a massive gap between quarterback one and quarterback
15:12two. But Josh Allen, very interesting >> for sure. Yeah, I think Josh Allen might just light fantasy on fire this year.
15:19Absolutely. Um Dan and I on Beyond the Box already said an episode where we drafted like we just pick one after the
15:25other who we think is most likely to finish as QB1 overall. We just excluded Allen from the conversation just cuz it's like a foregone conclusion. I feel
15:32really really good about everything that I'm hearing out of Buffalo. DJ Moore feels like he might be a really good pairing with him where he now has him
15:39and Khalil Shakira is two guys you can work really well with in the improv game. Um Don Hane seems to be in a good
15:45place with his health as well. So I think it's there's a chance that this is like the best version we've seen of the
15:50Bills offense since like that the prime Stefon Diggs era here. Um and then Allen is obviously at the peak of his powers
15:56too. just continues to be so good with the way he's able to mitigate pressure um and keep drives going and then is a
16:02is a threat to score um 25 PBR points per game any any season and just completely change fantasy. So I think
16:10he's valid if you could get him like where I I wouldn't really like him the three four turn kind of like you were
16:15saying if you could get him more in round four or five I like that and that does happen sometimes where pe drafters
16:20are just like all playing the waiting game at quarterback. Um, occasionally I would be okay with taking him, but really I I I might be just getting too
16:29Ryan Heath pilled, man. Um, the research shows that like your your biggest wins from these early rounds by far come at
16:37running back and receiver.
16:38>> Yeah, >> that's I mean that's even looking at the MVP Lamar seasons where you were able to get him in round four. That's looking at
16:44the Travis Kelce seasons where you're able to get him a little bit later sometimes or last year's McBride season where you're able to get him a little
16:50bit later than you probably should have.
16:52even those seasons haven't been quite as big of wins in terms of the percentage of ESPN teams that made playoffs that
16:58had those players on their teams compared to the biggest, you know, round one through four wins at running back and receiver. So, I just want to swing
17:06on those types of players like at Jaylen Wadd who I really think could be if healthy and everything comes together a
17:14complete game changer for fantasy.
17:16>> Team five with a really really good looking hero RB start if Jonathan Taylor hits like he did last year. AJ Brown,
17:22Nico Collins, T. Higgins essentially gets three guys that can put up massive weeks in combination with Jonathan Taylor. Waddle you're huge on. Um George
17:30Pickkins would have been fantastic there at the 312, but like Wadd versus like Wilson, Manki, T. Higgins. It's a difficult decision to make, but I think
17:40Wadd's really priming to be the the offensive focal point in Denver. It was a team that passed at a very high rate
17:46last year. Make sure you go check out the show that Jacob and I did a couple days ago, maybe last week, Jacob. We we
17:52did one like very recently right here on this channel. The days are starting to blend together when you record every single day like I do and I know you're
17:59pretty close to it. Um over at Beyond the Box score. Yeah, I would say team five best start through four rounds, but
18:05we have a two bullets in our chamber at the 56 turn. I like drafting out of the 12 spot this year in FFPC.
18:13You're able to sort of uh dictate how the next few picks are able to go.
18:17sometimes and you're able to double tap certain positions. Like I think you can double tap running back at the one-two turn. You can double tap wide receiver
18:24at the 34 turn, the 56 turn. Um sometimes a running back can fall to you at the 512. I'm open-minded to the 12
18:30spot being a really really good spot there. Wilson over Warren. I I tweeted out uh a really positive thing about about Wilson there the other day where I
18:41don't know, Wilson just seems like he's falling in a nice range. He was scoring at a wide receiver one level when he
18:47went down with injury. Uh has always been a high target share guy. Jets offense is not good, but it's not going
18:55to be putrid. I think Gino is a stabilizing force there. Your thoughts and open mindness to Garrett Wilson, especially in round four. I think
19:03Garrett Wilson is like maybe one of the most interesting and important players to think about given like what happened last year and what might happen this
19:11year and what we' also seen before 2025.
19:14So I think of Drake London when I'm thinking about this and then also I think it's really relevant to what we
19:19might see from Wilson this year. Last year the um was it Tanner Ingstrand? Is that the name of the guy that was there?
19:26I there's so many coordinators that go in and out of my brain. um was actually moving Wilson around a lot and getting
19:32him different ways to attack defenses and make it a little bit more unpredictable in terms of where he's going to be before or at the snap of the
19:40football with motion with condensed formations and different ways to um get him where it's not just out isolated.
19:47He's clearly, you know, the exceiver out there working on the outside. And it's not so much that he needs that he's able
19:54to beat press coverage, but it's that this allows defenses to not be so focused on him and dedicate so much attention to him with the extra cloud
20:04safety coverage and everything. And all of a sudden, we see Wilson pushing his target sharers into just absolutely ridiculous levels. And I think that
20:13that's really important. And it's something I'm thinking about with London too because he's had a similar type of phenomenon where Zack Robinson has done
20:19such a good job and he's been able to have this consistently like 28 29% target share number and I'm not so sure
20:25if that's going to be the case if it's more of a traditional offense this year for London and especially with Wilson.
20:31I'm worried about that with Frank Wright coaching. So, he's not somebody that I've taken much. And really, I just think that's a larger discussion to have
20:39about him and motion and everything and the way that that unlocks this additional target share um upside where you can get really pushing up into that
20:46elite range and there might be a cap on that because we've seen plenty of really good receivers in really bad offenses
20:53where it's clear that that's the only guy. Why don't they just get a 50% target share? You know, because you can't you can't facilitate a functional
21:00offense that way. defenses know if it's going to that player over and over and over that they just have to stop that,
21:06you know. But if you're able to move them around and do a lot of things to make the ball where it can get to them
21:12quickly before the defense knows where they're going to go, what the route concept might look like, then I think you can get an extra 5 to 10 percentage
21:18points on that target share. That's a massive amount to add. Um, so that doesn't really answer your question about Wilson. I'm kind of just not sure
21:24what to do with him, not landing him much, just kind of avoiding the Jets.
21:28But I do think it's really interesting in general and now we need to make a decision. Terry McLaren is what I was
21:32hoping for. Dang it.
21:32>> Yeah, I had I had McLaren in our >> I love the tight end here though, man.
21:35Is it crazy to go more tight ends here?
21:37>> No, I don't think it's crazy to go tight end. I think it's a fun tight end range here. And again,
21:41>> Watson here.
21:42>> Watson would Watson would be >> there's some good options here.
21:45>> Yeah, Watson would be a no-brainer if we get him. But I think Team 11's going to take him because he's got three running
21:49backs. He's got one he's got one wide receiver.
21:52>> Team 11 probably goes wide receiver tight end or wide receiver wide receiver with their two picks. We're open-minded here with a with uh what we can do. We
22:03saw a running back run in round five. So Trayvon Henderson, Jarian Price, Bucky Irving, Bachel Tutin, DeAndre Swift, and David Montgomery all go in round five.
22:12We're one pick away.
22:15It's And then team one has a pure uh Chicago Bears stack running. Lovelin, Verden, and Roma Dun.
22:23>> Can you make trades?
22:25>> No, this is no trades. Absolutely no trades. Yeah, no trades. It's a wild way to approach this draft. Three Bears
22:32J. Yes.
22:33>> Okay, so J Mo goes, okay, I think this is Christian Watson is the clear wide receiver for me here.
22:40>> Okay, so let's lock in Watson. Let's talk about what our next pick will be.
22:43So we have a plenty of time to do this.
22:45Um >> it's pretty clearly Sam Leaporta for me.
22:48>> Okay, so that's fine. I we'll just say exp like explain the Leaporta versus Craft versus Fannon. Um, is it a bet on
22:56just Detroit's offense being one that you trust and Leaporta being the run out here? Like I'm open-minded. I have I like the idea of Fannon. Um, and you're
23:05also ruling Kyle Pitts out here.
23:07>> Yeah, I think that Leapora was one of the players we talked about on the league winner show that you and I did,
23:12wide receivers and tight end league winners on Rotoire. Um, I really love the setup here. I think Detroit's defense could be kind of sneaky, leaky,
23:19where they're giving up a lot of points on the back end and then we're getting into these shootouts. I like their
23:22schedule. lots of dome games and I think Leaport is just way better than people realize. He averaged a career-high yard per run rate last year. Like he's
23:30continued to be a really important part of that offense. Um I love Craft, but we already have Watson.
23:36>> You can't you don't want to double tap the Packers. I think that's that's a tough tough one to take.
23:40>> I I'll just throw out to you because we're running out of time. We're I'm okay doing Leaporta. The one the two
23:45players I'll just throw into consideration Parker Washington BTJ. If you want to go one more wide receiver, we do have tight end fire.
23:51>> Two, right?
23:53>> You can start three tight ends if you want in this format.
23:56>> So, Leaport is fine.
23:57>> Start two receivers, right?
23:59>> Two receivers. We have two receivers.
24:00There'll be some more receivers. I think you're going to like the receivers. You know, I'm not going to love the receivers at the next turn, but there's
24:06going to be some viable ones. Um, if you want to want to flag plant Leaporta here, let's do it. Um, and I think I'm
24:12fine with if you want to go Parker Washington, we could do that.
24:15I would pick Leaporta, but I'm I'm totally fine with Parker watch. Let's take your guy. I will be I will be
24:21drafting plenty of these. So, I want to I want to have a shared a shared team here. So, through six rounds, we have
24:28Omar and Hampton, Ashton Genty. Uh we went running back, running back. Then at the 34 turn, we went Jaylen Wadd, Tyler
24:36Warren, and then at the 56 turn, we go Christian Watson, Sam Laaporta. We go wide receiver, tight end, wide receiver, tight end at both at both turns. And
24:45Jacob, I think that's what's interesting here is some people will look at this and say it's like kind of an unnecessary
24:49pick. But other people will say, you know, the value of the 1.5 point tight end premium. You have two guys that are
24:55that are outside shots at being maybe the tight end two overall, the tight end three overall, if not better. Um, everybody's very locked in on the top
25:04three tight ends. But I look at Leaporta who had a tight end one overall season under his belt. The potential that the
25:10Lions are a shootout team. They have uh problems in the secondary right now in Detroit. They play all these games indoors. Jir Gibbs being there without
25:20like the backup running back David Montgomery. I feel like it's going to be a lot more fast-paced. Uh more potential for pass attempts. And I think Goff
25:27could just run pure this year. There's a chance Jared Goff could be, and people don't like this take, but I'm throwing
25:32this out there. I'm workshopping it.
25:34workshopping it with our live audience here and with the the brilliant mind of Jacob Gibbs. Jared Goff being the 2026 version of 2025 Matthew Stafford and he
25:43has a careerhigh in touchdown pass. He has like 42 touchdown passes this year instead of his usual like 35 and we all
25:49go nuts. And Goff who's drafted as like the quarterback 16, quarterback 15, finishes as like the quarterback six despite uh not being mobile or cool or
25:57young just passes for a bunch of touchdowns.
26:00>> Yeah, for sure. No, I think you're right on. I also think us doing that is is it puts pressure on the rest of the draft
26:05room, right? And so you immediately see Craft and Pitts go next >> and you'll see and you see Fannon go.
26:10>> There's >> and then you'll see KD and Isaiah likely within the next 12 picks, >> I think. So yeah. Um I think it was a
26:17really good move. I think you know Rich Reebar pointed out that the the Titan won in fantasy each of the past five
26:22seasons simply led the position in routes run.
26:26>> That's again like you you look at this Lions team, >> I think there could be a lot of passing.
26:30I could be wrong, but I think that we could see a shift um now that they don't have David Montgomery. Um and I I I
26:37obviously Jir Gibbs is awesome, but do you really want to load up Jir Gibbs with 20 rushes per game? Um I think
26:43maybe the the best way to do it is like 14, 15, 16 rushes per game for him, five for PCO, get Gibbs involved in the pass
26:50game a lot, and just drop back a lot.
26:52You're playing all these dome games. The strength of your your team, I mean, is Gibbs as a pass catcher, Gibbs in space,
26:58and then a Monora St. Brown and Jameson Williams and Sam Laaporta, you know, they've got even Isaac Tesla, like they've got really awesome passing game
27:05pieces and then especially if the defense contributes to it by giving up points, then you could get in a lot of
27:11shootouts. And if you look at the tight ends that get drafted early, a lot of these teams, the Raiders, Clint Kubak,
27:17the new regime there in Arizona wants to play slow, Ben Johnson with Loveland, um Jonathan Taylor Colts, like a lot of
27:24those teams want to play really run first. To me, if you look at these guys at the top, Leaporta is one of the most
27:29likely names to actually lead the position in routes run. And we saw last year when he was healthy, he had like a
27:3590% route rate in some games. That was the highest it's ever been. So, I feel I feel really good about that pick. And
27:40there's touchdown upside, too. It could be one of the best offenses for passing production.
27:44>> I want to go back to a dynasty question.
27:46I know this is a a reddraft draft and uh not the best time for it, but I thought it was a really interesting way to sort
27:52of leverage multiple situations. I'll just ask it because I don't see I'm trying to find the question in the chat, but whatever. It was Lad Makanki for
28:01Parker Washington and a 2027 first all day long. All day long, I'm taking the Parker Washington and a 2027 first for
28:08Lad Mani side there. Where are you at on that one, Jacob?
28:12>> Lad Manki and you you're trading him away for Parker Washington in a 27 first.
28:17>> Yes.
28:21I I think I'm fine with that. I think I I'm fine with getting the first and and Parker, is that what you said? Sorry, I
28:28was >> Yeah, I'm I'm taking the I'm taking the package and I'm doing an updated Dynasty rankings. Uh you can get those over at
28:34Rotoire. Use the code Theo20 and get 20% off of any Roto Wire subscription. We're doing a bunch of cool stuff over there.
28:42But I just think it's like the the ability to get access to a 2027 first and Parker Washington like we're projecting Lad Maki to finish well like
28:50ahead of him. But I think there's a chance that it's closer than than ADP suggests with Parker Washington if the runout is similar to what we saw at the
28:58end of last season and I get that 2027 first. I think it's a great a great uh run out here. Now we see team nine CRB
29:05Aussie is in the chat right now. Team 9, I really love the Brock Bowers uh George Pickkins values you got there. We love
29:12your Terry McLaren pick. If that Mandre pick uh works out for you, that could be a really really dangerous build. So
29:19yeah, let us know if you're in the chat.
29:21And I'm going to be in Vegas drafting FFPC. One year I'm going to drag Jacob out there. Um, and uh, come up and say
29:27what's up. I'm going to be drafting all day long. Dan Williamson and I are splitting a couple of of uh, of teams. I
29:32also have a team that I split with Dan Williamson and Andrew Shelonburg. So look forward to seeing I always look forward to seeing everybody at the FFPC
29:38drafts and NFC drafts as well in New York and Vegas. Um, Jacob, what do you have going on over at Beyond the Box
29:45score right now? You're crushing it, >> dude. Yeah, I'm just looking at this team name now here. Pickings, Makoni, McLuren is such a nice run.
29:51>> That's a It's a Gibbs. It's a Gibbs like roster right there.
29:54>> I love that. Yeah. Oh, Jonathan Brooks.
29:57Yeah, Jonathan Brooks. I knew with our draft range, we probably weren't going to get him, but it would have been so
30:01nice for our brand if you and I could get Brooks on.
30:03>> I mean, we we have friends recommending Jonathan Brooks that you take him in the 10th to 11th round of your draft. I we
30:08have friends that none that will not be named mentioning that a lot. Guys, I if if Jonathan Brooks is a 10th 11th
30:14rounder in your draft, might be time to level up the level of competition in your fantasy league because I think Brooks is going to be living in round
30:21six by the time we get to uh the end of August. And and I think there's also a a small chance you're going to start
30:27seeing some fifth round like five, six turn Brooks picks cuz they're sitting him out the first preseason game which usually when you hear the word Jonathan
30:34Brooks sitting out you're like, "Oh no, he's injured again." No, it's like we're going to keep him keep him under wraps
30:39because it's going to happen this year.
30:40here. I think the enthusiasm is there in Carolina. I started to load the queue up, Jacob. We'll keep an eye on that as
30:46these picks are going. Just to for the podcast audience, in round six, we see six tight ends go off the board. Travis
30:54Kelce and Isaiah Likely join Harold Fannon Jr., Kyle Pittz, Tucker Craft, and our pick of Sam Laaporta. We see four wide receivers in Parker
31:02Washington, Carnell Tate, BTJ, and Marvin Harrison Jr. Michael Pitman goes at the 702 right behind those guys. And we see our quarterback two go off the
31:12board, Lamar Jackson, who goes so much further, so much further, like three rounds behind Josh Allen. Uh this year, it's a wild gap between QB1 and QB2.
31:23That's a whole conversation to be had.
31:25The just how to handle the QB position this year. We are going to be it's going to be like uh the the Matt Damon Odyssey
31:32meme of like the the the guy like tormented like crying like tied to the mast of a ship. when we get to the 78
31:38turn, Jacob, I'm gonna say there's going to be quarterbacks who are going to be like, "Oh my gosh, I want to draft this
31:42quarterback. We'll also have good quarterbacks at the nine10 turn." So, it's like the the siren call of quarterback starts about now. You see
31:49Joe Burrow go off the board to team three who had Jamar Chase at the at the 103. Now, they have that uh that
31:56correlation. And I'll say that's a that's a little less common this year than the T. Higgins, Joe Burrow uh stack. We see uh Fantasy Mojo Darren
32:05Armani who runs Fantasy Mojo, he had a post on X talking about the most common uh the most common correlation in this
32:12tournament. One of the most common stacks right now, AJ Brown and Drake May. That's super common. And then Joe Burrow T. Higgins is super super common.
32:22So, you know, you're not if you if you have a Drake May, AJ Brown team, then you better get a little bit different
32:28with your build um because it's not giving you a massive edge in the overall field. still can help you get to the
32:33promised land if those guys are great.
32:35Jaylen Warren I had in the queue. He's off the board here. Uh not really pressed at at running back, but there
32:40are some running back options here. Wide receivers, some good ones. Um there's a chance to build a little bit of correlation too in a in a different way.
32:50I'm just going to throw two guys in in in this option, but I think we're I think we're in the right the right
32:57mindset. Uh, we have six guys in in the queue and we are six picks away. So, we'll we'll see how this goes. I would
33:06really like one of these players, but I think the way the where your mind's at is is good on the other ones. I also
33:12have the ADP open so we can sort of cross-check that.
33:17I'll throw one name in there just for a potential correlation play and I'll put him right next to the guy in the queue.
33:24Jacob, I don't know. I'm like frozen on this one.
33:28Okay. So, three and four in our queue would be an interesting way to correlate.
33:33>> Yeah, >> we don't have to though.
33:36>> Yeah. Uh we'll see as we get there. If I mean, if if some of the top players are still there, then I think it's pretty
33:41easy for me there.
33:42>> That's fine. That's fine.
33:44>> Um so, again, we are a few picks away here. If you want to compete against Jacob and I in the FFPC streets and
33:51you're a new signup, use the code uh Theo and you're going to get 25 or excuse me, Theo25 and you're going to
33:58get 25 free dollars for a new user.
34:01Jacob took advantage of that and got his 25 free dollars. Jacob, you could run it back and do the $35 best baseball
34:07tournament for only $10 and you could win an additional $100,000 to the 500k we're about to cash.
34:13>> Hell yeah. I'm just >> Dallas Scott goes off the board here. I was going to say I'm just happy to see
34:17so much purple here after we we went Warren and Leaporta in rounds 46.
34:23>> Yeah, I mean Goddard makes sense here.
34:25Um structurally that team needed their first tight end. I don't think it's an edge pick, but structure-wise it makes a lot of sense. Jordan Tyson was like a
34:32punch a punch in the face. Team is living very clean. Yeah, >> you knew it. team team nine team nine and we didn't even say the name but
34:40Jordan Tyson I uh did a Reddit AMA yesterday and I thought Jordan Tyson was priced priced the best of all the
34:47rookies to return an an incredible amount of value. Jordan Mason goes here uh people trying to catch up at running back there the the CMC drafter was a
34:55hero. Okay, so QJ goes. Okay, so we're OTC here. I I think we're looking at we're looking at a wide receiver and I
35:05think it's a little bit early in terms of ADP, but I think this is where this player is headed. I think it's Josh DS
35:12and leaning into it because it's very early, but he wouldn't come back to us.
35:18Um, the only problem is I I guess you have the Josh DS with Tyler Warren combination, which is kind of a tough
35:25run out, but >> I do like DS and it's early, but I don't mind reaching for him and and locking him in because I think that the drum
35:34beats are pretty strong. He's going to be on the field in two wide receiver sets. Is there a player in this queue
35:38you absolutely want be instead of downs?
35:42>> I'm fine with who you have at two and three. I don't really want to go QB here quite yet, but I I do
35:47>> Daniel's Daniels White would be a fun run out.
35:50>> Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I think that that's a unique >> Let's take it. Let's take it.
35:53>> Yeah, >> let's take Daniels and then before we do it, >> uh I think it's Rashad White over downs.
36:00Uh we're going to get a little We're going to get into the kind of the weeds with uh wide receiver, but there are
36:06some wide receivers at the 910 turn that are really interesting. we get this correlation play with Jaden Daniels, mobile quarterback, um, and Rashad
36:15White, the passcatching running back.
36:17There's also ways to build like further Washington correlation a little later on that I think has some at like very cheap
36:23price tag. So, I like this correlation play. I if if it's it's a tough it was a tough run out for us with those last
36:32couple of wide receivers. I think that if Tyson or QJ were there, we would have taken them. I think that if Jaylen
36:38Warren had fallen there, which he rarely does, it would have been an easy click.
36:42Um, but Rashad White, I I've taken him a few times. Some people absolutely hate when you take Rashad White here. Some
36:49people absolutely get it. Um, he's my bet. I've had Davis Madak came on with me the other day and he made a big big
36:55uh stand for uh Jaory Krosky Merritt there. But my bets on White and if it's a split, it's a Rashad White backfield
37:02where he's better than what Austin Eckler was years ago. Um, and I think that White can get there with touchdowns. I think White can get there
37:10with receptions. It feels a little bit like somewhere in between last year's version of Kenneth Gainwell and last year's version of Javvante Williams. I
37:20came on your pod with you and Dan and we talked about the kind of value he presents in this range.
37:26>> Yeah, [snorts] we did league winning running backs with you on Beyond the Box score and I've really been thinking more
37:30and more about Rashad White since then.
37:32I was initially on team Bill um just because I love him as a talent as a rusher, but the man has never um really
37:40been involved as a receiver. I think that he could be in theory just watching him, but even back to college, it's like
37:46nine receptions in a season in a year where he had like 1500 rushing yards or whatever, you know, like he was a clear bellcout
37:53running back, but just wasn't used at all that way. We know that White has that skill set and if you look at
37:59Washington's schedule at the beginning of the year, it's really tough. They face some defenses that could get a lot of pressure um against their offensive
38:05line. They they could get in shootouts a lot in those games, I think, potentially. Um just in general, they're expected by Vegas to have a lot of
38:12potential shootout game scripts this year. And I think in some of those quicker pace back and forth games, especially if they're playing from
38:18behind, it does set up to potentially be Rashad White game scripts. And if we see that a lot in the early portion of the
38:24season and he plays well, I think we could just kind of see him and Daniels get where it's like this is the
38:29backfield. You know, they've got familiarity from their um time in the past and everything and like just think it could be a good fit. The other thing
38:36with White is he's really transformed himself as a runner where he's very much a north and south guy. Um we saw last
38:42year the percentage of his runs that got to the line of scrimmage before initial contact was the highest in the league of
38:47any running back and then Bucky Irving was like on the far back end of that stat. Um, so that was pretty wild to me
38:52that white was so high with Tampa Bay's offensive line in shambles for a lot of the year. I think that has a lot to do
38:57with his style of running and I think that that could fit really well in the under center stuff that David Blau wants
39:02to do. So, I'm really coming around on it. I think that it makes sense here.
39:06>> Yeah, it's it was a tough run out here and I I feel like every time when we get to like the 11th or 12th round, we're
39:12going to be like, what if we had done this instead of Jaden Daniels and we might like our team better, but that's
39:18not necessarily a guarantee. We're a little bit fragile. We're a little bit fragile at wide receiver right now. But again, if you're watching this and
39:26you've never seen an FFPC draft, FFPC, you can start two wide receivers and then you have two flexes, but with the
39:33tight end premium, uh, we've we've made a big bet on Leaporta. Leaporta is going to be in our starting lineup with Tyler
39:39Warren every week and we're a two tight end build. So, that's one flex sort of taken care of. And then uh their second
39:46flex, it's right now it's Rashad White, but I I think there's going to be some really strong values at the the 910 turn
39:54uh as well. Uh we're going to keep an eye on this one. And I think that there's, you know, I saw the same and
40:00people in the chat, shout out to to Zayn Dani who came on this podcast. I saw the same thing Zayn put out, but I think
40:06there's also some positivity with the passcatching role with Rashad White. So, we'll keep an eye on that one. Jacob, what do you think of our team so far?
40:17>> I I really like the team. Um the I wasn't wanting to go quarterback with this last pick. I would have loved to
40:22get Tyson or Quinton Johnson there. I think made sense with a Wadd and Watson being guys that I like, but also have
40:30both had their fair share of injury concerns, you know. Um so I would have loved to get another receiver that could
40:35give us some upside, particularly Tyson, I think is interesting. But as I look at this team on paper, it's like there's a
40:41lot of paths to upside. I think Gaporta could be a high-end flex for us. These receivers could produce really well.
40:47Obviously love the upside for the running backs and then the Jaden Daniels Rash or Shad White stuff. You could tell yourself a story where that works out
40:53really well, too. Um, and so there's a chance that I mean, we basically got the whole lineup filled out already, which
40:58is not necessarily how I usually draft, but I actually like it a lot. And I think there's a lot of upside with all
41:03these picks. Um, and that's what you're really shooting for in this format, right? is like you you want to be a team
41:09that's producing a ton of points at the end of the year. Um, and I think this team has the chance to do that and
41:15there's even more sleepers down the board here that we really like that are still available. So, I'm I'm I'm liking it. How do you feel? You've done more
41:21this than me.
41:22>> I feel I feel okay. I feel like we're going to have to get there. I think that a lot of our team depends on uh Warren
41:28absolutely smashing and I think that there's and then you have the idea that Leaporta is one player that I have a
41:35good amount of exposure to now. Um, I'm with you on that one. I do worry a little bit about the back. Back injuries
41:40are funny. Um, and then of course it's the Jaden Daniels here where Jaden Daniels were basically making a bet on 712 Jaden Daniels. There's going to be
41:49quarterback options at the 910 turn.
41:52There'll be quarterback options at the 1112 turn. So, when we go back at the end of the draft and we look at our team
41:57and we say, would we have liked our team better if we would have gone with, let's say, Jaden Reed and Rashad White or Josh
42:05DS and Rashad White or Josh DS and Jaden Reed instead of both those players there. There's a chance on that one. So,
42:12I feel good. I think we got a lot of work to do in the next 10 rounds, but we've got a, you know, we've got uh 12
42:18more rounds to go, Jacob. So, we've got a chance to make this team look really, really good. And some of the players you
42:22had in the queue before are still in the queue now. I'm going to be checking uh I'm going to be checking the um Yeah,
42:29you didn't like that Mai Lemon run out.
42:30I pro versus Joe's. Yeah, Lemon would have been great. I took him in the ninth round on on pros versus Joe's the other
42:36day um in FFPC over a few solid locked in wide receiver values. I think he could end up being really really fun. I was butting heads with
42:45some of my former colleagues at Fantasy Points when I was at Fantasy Points as sort of like the resident Mai Lemon uh
42:52like bull. Where are you at on Mai Lemon? Talk about what you're seeing there and how you think his season could
42:57go and really his career. Jacob, >> so what actually really got me thinking more and more about Lemon um was your
43:03episode with Pat Karine. I think people should check that out if they missed it.
43:06Um that was really good. He had some really underlooked I think um upside cases. he made. Um, and then I had Matt
43:15Harbin on and Matt was talking about on Beyond the Box and he was talking about the fact that he thinks that the offense
43:20could actually function in a way where if it's not working that we maybe see more and more Lemon than we do Devonte
43:27Smith, more and more these short targets. Um, and I just loved him as a prospect. I think he fits potentially really well with what they want to do
43:33with getting the ball out quickly and then getting through the reads quickly.
43:37Um, I I I really I think he's set up to to be potentially a high-end PPR type of producer, like a like a low-end wide
43:45receiver, too, even um down the stretch here. Um, as he if he hits his stride during his rookie season, >> we see a pretty early pick on Hunter
43:53Henry there.
43:54>> Yeah.
43:55>> Um, I wonder if it the drafter there just has conviction. It's not a correlated play. It's not like they were
44:00forcing it with Drake May. Actually, that drafter has been taking a few players ahead of ADP. They took Katon Mitchell in round eight and Hunter Henry
44:08in round nine. Not how I would have played it, but Henry was pretty good last year. And now we're OTC. Wandell
44:14Robinson was in the queue. I'm sort of glad that we not I'm not glad we didn't have the option to take him, but I I
44:19think that would have been an interesting conversation.
44:21>> I think we're we we we kind of have to go wide out wide out here. Um I'll throw Okay, so let's take our our preferred
44:28wide out here. I think we both are on Casey Conpsion >> for the brand. This is easy. So, this is easy, but let's run it down the clock so
44:36we have time to talk about the second pick here.
44:38>> Okay, KCC is is locked in. Um, high upside wide receiver selection here.
44:43I've been taking him in a ton of formats. I love him. I know you love him, too. Jacob made a case that he's
44:49going to crush it this year when he came on my pod recently. The other wide receiver that I think is interesting
44:55that we have queued up is Stfan Diggs who won't make it back to our next run and we could end up with correlation
45:01with him and Jaden Daniels if he signs.
45:04>> Um, and then we could check a let's take a like take KCC.
45:08>> Mhm.
45:08>> Okay. And then I'll just make the I will make the the the case for Matthew Golden here. I know it's it's Okay. So, here's
45:18a here's a scenario. Tucker Craft has reagggravation. You have a scenario where Golden and Watson are on the field the entire time. They both have the
45:26ability to put up spike weeks and exceptional speed. Obviously, Watson's the way better bet. Um, Diggs gives us the correlation. Golden gives us an
45:35upside swing. And I'll throw out one more play. Chigga Conquo, who's priced kind of right for a correlation play with uh Jaden Daniels. There's been some
45:44speculation he could be the number two target in Washington. And then you've got Jacobe Myers in the queue. I think my lean is Diggs. Where are you at? We
45:52got 20 seconds.
45:53>> Jacobe is definitely who I would take.
45:56Um, but if you want to go Diggs, I'm fine with that. I would go with him over a Conquo.
46:00>> So, no. No Golden.
46:02>> No Golden for me.
46:03>> Okay. So, let's take Diggs before I time out. We're taking Stfane Diggs. I just think with Diggs, Diggs, Digs to Washington, you've got here's
46:14the scenario with Diggs where Diggs is on the street right now. So, he avoids the Baltimore landing spot, which would have been just okay. Z Flowers would
46:22have been the number one target there.
46:24Um, yeah, and and anybody sort of commenting with the Golden thing there, this is the thing when you split teams, I'm higher on Golden than than Jacob is.
46:31I'll have plenty of Golden uh in my own builds, but this one we sort of want to come together uh and have something we
46:37can both like. Golden, I think, is a is an interesting one. Okay, so Diggs, the people of the haters here, Diggs goes to
46:45Washington. you get some correlation.
46:47You make another bet on Daniels with Diggs. Diggs last year averaged 12 and a half points per game. Played only about
46:52what was it 65 70% of snaps last year in New England.
46:57>> Um had a thousand receiving yards. If he ends up in Washington, I think there's a chance that he's a viable flex for us
47:04this year. And he's always been sort of a strong target earner. He's never had less than a 20% target share in any uh
47:12season of his entire career. and let's say he doesn't sign with Washington. The other scenario is Diggs is on the couch
47:19somewhere and you see an injury, another injury happens here in the preseason and that team says Stefan Diggs is out there
47:27and he becomes the wide receiver too for another really interesting team. There's been like connection with him with Kansas City. Could there be connection
47:36with him with another team if there's an injury? I just think Diggs has a lot of outs here. Um, at this 10 11 at this uh
47:43910 turn, Malik Washington goes off the board. This team is going a little uh a little bit interesting selections here from the uh from the eight hole here
47:53after a James Cook uh start with Ibuka and Rashi Rice, Mike Evans, David Montgomery, Lamar Jackson, Dallas Goddard, and then it's gotten pretty
48:01interesting. Uh your thoughts on on my my pro- Diggs take here. Let us know in the chat where you think Diggs is going
48:08to end up.
48:09>> Yeah, Diggs played really well last year. It's hard to say to what extent that's like a skill um based result. Um
48:16in terms of all the per route efficiency and everything, I think playing with Drake May really really helps. Um and McDaniels did a really good job of of
48:24scheming him open. Um but at the same time, he he played well. He performed well for sure. And I think that there's
48:29a chance he still has juice. And of course, if he lands with Washington, that would be really interesting. like there's a lot of uh targets available
48:37there. Um Terry McLuren is fantastic, but has never really been a guy who's pushed his target share up very high. I
48:44think that that could change if they move him around more and focus the offense on him and he's not just stuck
48:48out on the left side all the time like he's been with Cliff Kingsbury, but we've really seen his whole career McLaren even day to college, Mike
48:55McLaren's never been like a huge target share type of guy. He's been more of a field stretching player. Um, so I think
49:01we could just see like you just alluded to, digs continue to get this big target number. Um, and if everything plays out
49:08like we said it could with Washington with the projected shootouts that that could be a lot of uh PPR production for
49:14really really cheap. Ryan Heath just wrote up his uh anatomy of a league winner article he's been working on all off seasonason. He narrowed it down to
49:2218 players because that's how many uh difference makers there were last year in fantasy football. So, he just went with 18 and Diggs was one of them. You
49:30know, you could choose 18 players in fantasy. You've thought about it all summer long and to land on Diggs was really noteworthy to me. Um, but that's
49:38who he landed on. And so, I think I'm fine with it this range. Like I said, I I feel um like there are other options
49:44we could have gone with, but I think Diggs makes a lot of sense. And the teams that he's linked to the most,
49:51pretty much all of them feel pretty good. I mean, maybe the worst one that I've heard for fantasy would be Buffalo,
49:55but it's like, is that I mean, that's not that bad, right?
49:58>> No, I mean, yeah, a digs a digs Buffalo run out. But it sounds like, you know, and appreciate the live chat. I've
50:04always really appreciated ever since I I came over here to Roto Wire, I had some people sort of that were that I knew
50:09from my chats at at Fantasy Points and then some new faces. There's been so many like sharp locked in people who are
50:16drafting a lot of teams that are in these streams. So, really appreciate you guys and how active you are in the chat.
50:21even when you dislike my picks, I I really appreciate it. Jordan Schulz is saying expectations around the league are that Diggs ends up in Washington
50:30soon. So, that's pretty much a run out like we wanted here. We made the big bet on Jaden Daniels at the 712. We
50:37correlated with Rashad White and now that we have further correlation with Stfan Diggs, I think we could even open open ourselves up to Antonio Williams in
50:46the 16th round if it sort of lands that way. I'll give a shout out to team nine who continues to draft very very well.
50:53Kenneth Gainwell in round nine, Chicaquo in round 10. Uh and then we'll go back to team one who Tommy Leretti who
51:01crammed in a bunch of Bears missed out on the Caleb Williams stack. Uh but ended up with Blake Cororm and Jonathan
51:09Brooks sort of playing catch-up after his Bejon Robinson start. And then Tommy takes Matthew Golden, who I sort of made an argument for at the 1001, falls all
51:19the way to the 1101 to Tommy. So, pretty clean living for team 1. Uh, let us know in the in the comments which team you
51:25like besides team 9. Team 9's doing a really really good job. Um, we're going to come back to the 1112. I think we're
51:33open-minded to, and it's official now, according to multiple people in our chat. Jacob Gibbs and I, I think we influenced this signing. Uh the
51:43Washington commander said, "We want to we want to make uh Jacob Gibbs win some money this year in his first FFBC
51:48draft." Uh so we're going to get that little correlation play. Okay, now let's galaxy brain it. Jacob, we're both very much on Terry McLaren. Terry McLaren
51:56target shares historically are not quite the same level as Stfan Diggs. Uh historically, where are we at on what is the percent chance that Stfan Diggs
52:06leads the commanders and targets this year?
52:08>> Um yeah, like 40% something like that. I think it's realistic. I think if he might have the highest I don't know like
52:16yeah it's probably him and and McLuren are dead even that might be insane but I just think we could they don't want
52:23Jaden to get hurt they want to get that ball out quick you know I think that we could see a lot of the quick targets go
52:28to him I think all the play action design stuff is probably going to be focused on trying to unlock Terry McLuren deep um he's been with the team
52:34they've been working on all offseason but yeah I I I think that this could be a a massive season for Diggs lowkey for
52:40fantasy for PPR purposes is.
52:43>> Yeah. No, I'm with you. It's a really, really fun one. I I like where your head's at in in our in our queue, too. I
52:49You've been cooking in the queue. You've been loading up some really, really fun names. I think number three in our in
52:55our queue, and apologize to apologize to the people who want us to talk openly on this, but there's multiple teams that
53:00are in our draft that are that are uh watching and and commenting. T number three is an auto pick for me if he's
53:07here.
53:07>> Okay, >> that's the one I want. Um, and then I'm open-minded towards a number of other players there. Uh, we'll talk about it
53:15when we get there, but we are five picks, four picks away now. Five picks away, excuse me. Uh, and we're about to
53:23be at the 1112 turn. So, we'll review our team after we make these two selections. We have three running backs.
53:29Uh, and through 10 rounds, but good ones with Omarian Hampton, Ashton Genty, and now Rashad White. We see Jaory Kroski Merrick go just a little bit later than
53:40Rashad White. Uh we have correlation now with Stfan Diggs, Rashad White, and Jaden Daniels. So we're betting on go David Blau. I hope you have a great
53:48first season as OC there. Uh maybe we'll fasttrack him, get him a head coaching job. And I think we're still breaking
53:55ties with wide receiver to catch up a little bit. I'll also say that wide receiver um is going to start really
54:02drying up where there's going to be uh a lack of like draftable wide receivers.
54:07Um not draftable, but guys that you can foresee would be a consistent starters for you. Uh those guys are going to
54:14start drying up really quickly. So, I think we're breaking ties at wide receiver here.
54:19Running back, I like some of the guys you have in the queue. Number three would be super interesting. I don't love
54:25him, but I'm willing to bet against myself with that one. Jacob, is anybody else in the queue that really stands out
54:30to you?
54:32>> Uh, no. I think the top guys are all really good picks. Um, I would I think I there's a number of receivers who I
54:38still like, so I think I would like to go wide receiver running back here. I also think that there's a tight end that
54:44we could consider. Um, we don't have, you know, I it would be a big upside swing. Um, but it's somebody who could
54:54uh I don't know if I love him for this format, to be honest. I I think he's fine. I agree with you when you say for
55:00this format that in a maybe in a half point PPR, a regular PPR, he maybe is a little more valuable because he's I
55:06don't think he's going to be peppered this year. Um I think that there's multiple players. Okay, so we are OTC here. I think that and Marshon Lloyd
55:16goes he would have been an interesting conversation for us to have. I think Dejon Stribbling is a no-brainer here to get some upside at the wide receiver
55:24position. Uh, some juice here. I mean, stribbling is a Mike Evans injury away from being utilized like kind of like
55:33Brandon Iayuk. I mean, even if it's a six week stretch, he could be a really fun one with his athleticism and his
55:40ability to score touchdowns. I think we take him and then we could lock him in. What's your lean for the second pick here?
55:51>> It's the running back. I have I have Chris Rodriguez here. um would be my pick. I'm also fine with Jonah Coleman.
55:57So, I love Stribbling. That's a great pick. Um go ahead and lock that one in.
56:01I think so. Rodriguez, we don't have any Jaguars on this team. Um and I think he's an interesting way to get access to
56:08that and somebody who might end up having sneaky value. I think their schedule at the beginning of the year is really tough and we could see Tuton
56:15struggle for as much as I like Tuton as a pick this year.
56:18>> Let me throw out one thing. Debo Samuel out.
56:23double tap the wide receiver room in San Fran.
56:25>> Picked.
56:26>> Okay. Well, he's he's okay. He's been picked.
56:29>> Yeah.
56:30>> Yeah, he was. Excuse me, I missed that one. Okay. I I don't mind Rodriguez. I don't really love him. I'm a tootin
56:36stand, but it's a >> conviction on any of these other running backs. [sighs] >> Not really. I think they're all in sort
56:43of a bucket here. I like the idea of going with Tank Bsby if we want to go upside upside swing hedge against the
56:49field. If if Saquon goes down, he'd be awesome. The guy who I actually have ranked the highest is Zack Sharbon. And
56:55I think at the end of the year he could score a lot and we feel pretty good about our running backs early season.
56:59>> Let's go Rodriguez. You liked him before. You made an argument. He's he's uh he's a fine bet. Um I turned I tuned
57:06into a draft. Uh I had Ron Stewart on.
57:08You ever pod with Ron Stewart?
57:12>> I think maybe last year. I don't know if I did or not. I've watched his YouTube channel a little bit.
57:16>> It was my first time potting with him. I thought he did a really great job and and and the audience really liked him.
57:20But, uh, I I tuned into one of his drafts and he sort of made a case for Rodriguez. I know Scott Barrett's made
57:25cases for Rodriguez. I've heard you sort of talk about Rodriguez. And even if you're a even if you're a uh, Bachel
57:33Tutin stand like I am, Rodriguez having a run out where he just scores a bunch of touchdowns in that offense could be
57:39could be sort of what gets him there.
57:41Um, so I'm I think it's fine. And I mean Tank Bsby there, it's more of an upside bet where Rodriguez is so limited as a
57:49pass catcher. Not like Tank Bsby is anything special there, but I think Digsby could see a more Saquon-esque role with like Will Shipley mixing in,
57:58whereas Rodriguez would still be like a high volume running threat to touchdown threat uh if Tutin were to miss time.
58:07But I think Rodriguez is is fine there.
58:09So we end up with Dejon Stribbling and Chris Rodriguez. Not a bad turn of events at the 1112 turn there. Uh and we
58:18were able to catch up at wide receiver I think where Casey Conpsion, Stefan Diggs, and Dejon Stribbling in rounds 9, 10, and 11 after being incredibly thin
58:27at the position. We're not done at wide receiver either. Um I think that there's multiple options that are going to be
58:34there. just there. It's it's a way longer bets when you get into like the 13th 14th round, but I don't think
58:40you're at like the end of the line for wide receivers. But I think if you're drafting structurally in the FFPC these
58:46days and you need to catch up at wide receiver, you've got to kind of attack it in 9 10 11, it really does start to
58:53dry up. We see Romeo Dubs go at the 122.
58:56He was in RQ. your thoughts on Romeo Dubs who's getting like some positive buzz, some slot usage talk up in New
59:04England right now.
59:05>> Yeah, I thought that was really interesting. Scott Barrett came on and we did a birthday episode. Him and I have the same birthday and we did a
59:10bunch of advanced stats and he was like, "What if Romeo Dobs is just the the slot there? What if he's like actually
59:17prioritized and AJ Brown is kind of like more of a a field stretching X for them like he has been?" And he gave some
59:23stats on his separation score from the slot. Um, his production has been really good. Green Bay has used him a lot on
59:29those outbreaking routes. I think he's a lot better than people realize, like first down per route run rate is a stat
59:35that's been really important for predicting future fantasy scoring, and he's been consistently good at that, like the leader for Green Bay
59:42year-over-year. Um, and then the other thing that Scott likes to bring up is that, uh, Drake May has in the past had
59:49a tendency of spreading the ball around.
59:50So, I'm really in on AJ Brown. and I think he just has such a massive upside case. Um, and it's unlikely that he's a
59:58huge miss unless he has health problems.
60:02Um, so I don't end up drafting a ton of Dobs. Um, but there's a chance that he matters if the if the offense is good
60:08and passes a ton even as just the secondary receiver and you can kind of plug him into the flex like you might
60:15with Michael Pitman or you know Jacobe Meyers or Stefon Diggs or whoever it is as kind of a volume based play and then
60:22it's like well what if something were to happen to AJ Brown with the the knees or whatever you know and Dubs has to kind
60:28of step in as the wide receiver one it could be really good like I I I feel like the offense could still be pretty
60:35dang functional. Like I even like Kyle Williams and some of their other pieces there. Kan Booty has played well and Dubs could be like the leading targeter
60:43in that situation. So I think it's a great pick in round 12.
60:47>> Yeah, you make a really really strong case for it. um looking at some of these teams and look at sort of the the structure here. You
60:56know, I think one thing to consider in the double digit rounds for FFPC is you start getting the the you want to kind
61:03of swing for upside here. You also have to remember there's going to be a waiverwire run uh before the season.
61:09There's also going to be a waiverwire run after the two weekn night games. And then the other interesting thing in FFPC
61:16is you have the free look. So the Wednesday and Thursday players can go in and out of your lineup. So taking
61:23breaking ties when you get to like rounds 17 through 20 on just guys who play for San Francisco, LA, New England,
61:32Seattle and sort of tell yourself, could this guy have a big spike week? Like the the viability with those guys is always
61:39interesting. and sort of the even the special teams players, you know, if you want to go kicker for New England or
61:44something like that, if he has a poor game one, you can cut him and put in a different kicker. So, different ways to
61:50play this. Again, if you want to join the FFPC, use the code Theo25. You're going to get 25 free dollars if you're

62:17Beyond the Box Score. Jacob and Dan are putting out awesome content over there.
62:22How many shows a week are you doing, Jacob? It's it's it's like the volume's ticking up.
62:26>> Yeah. Yeah. This week we'll probably put out like eight episodes or something. I feel like maybe even more. We've kind of
62:32lately just been like, "What if we did this?" You know, like we just talked off air like this is a fun episode. Like we
62:36could do this in 30 minutes. So most recently we just um drafted like which quarterbacks do we think have the most
62:41potential upside to get to QB1 which and then we're going to do that for every position and then another >> Well, give us a taste. Give us a taste.
62:46Don't just say it. Who give us like two quarterbacks?
62:48>> I took Drake May first. That was my top pick. And I I feel like people are just forgetting about what May did last year
62:53and I don't really >> I have him QB I have him QB2 overall in my rank. I feel like it's all
62:56sustainable, but he goes I mean I'm pretty sure Scott Barrett I saw had him at QB5 and I see him sometimes go at the
63:01back end of that elite secondary group and it's like he wasn't that much different than Allen at times last year in year two in his first year with a new
63:09coordinator. I feel like it could just get better. They could pass more. People point towards the schedule as like the reason that they played well, but it's
63:15like the defenses they faced were not good, but they weren't like abysmal. It was more so that they like I think
63:21they're 21st or something in DVOA overall in the year. for the defenses they faced more so it was just that the
63:27teams were bad so they were blowing them out. They were playing with a lead all the time and it's like what if they just
63:31get into more back and forth games and they lean on the pass game because they invested in it because they have MVP
63:35candidate and their line is better at pass protection than run blocking. Like I I feel like we could see May play even
63:41better than last year as crazy as that sounds and he's going to keep running.
63:45He's really early in his career. I feel like he's just a chica for fantasy. Um, but yeah, we didn't Another one we did
63:50was like what if we just crossed off like 10 teams? Just like didn't draft any players from these teams. Which teams would they be? And then do we
63:58still feel good about how our fantasy teams would look? And so we did that. We just went one by one and picked which
64:03teams we think we would be fine getting rid of um from the fantasy pool and got rid of 10 of them. And then we looked at
64:08the players left available. We're like, we could still build a really good team with [laughter] with these uh these players crossed off our list. The only
64:15ones that I cared about were like Malik Neighbors and Cam Scataboo and a few players like that. But really, I think
64:19you can get away with it. Jeremiah Love, you know, you're missing some of those players. But basically, the idea is like
64:25if you just focus on the best play designers, the best coaches that are doing all the fantasy friendly things, you could still just be fine. You could
64:33just draft just the best players from the best teams and be fine. As simple as it sounds. Um, so yeah, lots of lots of
64:39good content over there with Dan. long form content and then also individual player specific stuff. Like over the past two months, I've just been putting
64:48out as much context as I can looking back at like historical comparisons like is Ashton Genty the next Leia Thomasson or is he the next Trent Richardson and
64:56like digging into all this advanced data from history and like what it might suggest for these players going forward.
65:02So if there's anybody you're specifically curious about like can Z Flowers finally get his target share unlocked in the red zone? like here are
65:09other small receivers and what their careers look like and it's like wow his red zone target share early in his career is higher than Antonio Browns was
65:15it was higher than Tyler Lockett was and then when their team realized how good that player was and they started building everything around them you see
65:22the target share in the red zone spike and now Tyler Lockett scoring 8 10 11 eight 10 touchdowns for five straight
65:28years you know and it's like could something like that happen so all sorts of content there at your fingertips go binge it all beyond the box score
65:35fantasy football today >> uh some notable able selection structurally. We've seen a big run of running backs. We took Chris Rodriguez
65:43at the 1201 and then we see Zack Charbano a few picks later. Then you get Jonah Coleman, Woody Marks, Aaron Jones,
65:50Tai Spears, Isaiah Pacheco, Jaden Blue, and Tank Bsby all going off the board within the 10 consecutive picks. So, it's running back cleanup. Then we see
66:01it's always notable that Patrick Mahomes just went in the 13th round as the quarterback 15 off the board. Team uh number six has two quarterbacks. A lot
66:11of two quarterback builds in this one. I think it makes you know the the team number two uh who's took their first
66:17quarterback in round 11. That makes a little sense. I don't necessarily know if taking Jackson Dart uh when you're team number three when you took Joe
66:26Burrow makes a lot of sense in this sort of format, but uh you're seeing a lot more two quarterback builds with
66:32quarterback quarterbacks following this year. Rasheed Shahed goes uh at the 1310, which would have been an awesome pick for us here at the 1312. I've been
66:41taking Shahed a lot. The market is just like letting him fall. I've taken Shahid in so many drafts now, Jacob. We'll talk
66:47about him in a minute. Um, but we're two picks away. Structurally, we're open.
66:53Bone Knicks goes. Okay. So, we we are we are uh open-minded here.
67:00I'm going to kind of say >> what I would do here is I would be a dick and take two tight ends. And I
67:04there's two tight ends I really like here.
67:06>> Okay.
67:07>> I just feel like I still think we need another I I Okay, I'm I'm down with one of the tight ends.
67:13>> Okay.
67:14>> I'm not down with the with number four.
67:15or I just feel like it's a you're never going to start him. You're just never going to start him. I don't think it's
67:19going to ever happen. Um we could talk about it in a minute, but I think for me it's Denzel Boston, which seems like a
67:25double tap on Cleveland, but I think that they're both going to be the highest scoring wide receivers in Cleveland this year. It's a bet on
67:31talent. I'll also say Jaylen McMillan is very interesting to me here. McMillan or Boston? Do you have a preference? I think and I'll throw Omar Cooper in the
67:40mix.
67:41>> Um McMillan is who I would lean to over Boston. I would take the tight end here and then give us a little bit of time to
67:46talk on the receivers.
67:48>> Okay. So, let's take Terrence Ferguson.
67:50>> Like it. Yeah.
67:50>> Okay. So, let's take Terence Ferguson.
67:52We'll talk about him in a minute.
67:53>> Let's talk out this wide receiver selection because I think it's an important one because they're not all going to hit.
68:00>> McMillan is in the best offensive situation and he could be the spike week guy in Tampa Bay.
68:05>> I had Sigman Bloom on. He's all over Jail McMillan this year. Boston has sort of been my guy where I've actually liked
68:12combining him and uh and KCC. I think Pat Karine and I have talked about that too. Boston is just a bet on talent and
68:18then Omar Cooper has a better pathway um with uh with Kenyan Sadi on the sideline, but I like another Jets wide
68:26receiver later. I'm good with taking McMillan here if if you are. Um let's take McMillan. I mean >> I love Boston, but I mean I'm betting
68:34against betting on it's just different levels of offense. Either either of these rookies could fall to us in the next round. I really think they could if
68:41people don't like him.
68:42>> McMillan is McMillan's easy.
68:45>> I keep taking McMillan. I have so much exposure to him on underdog. I have so much exposure to him in in best balls,
68:51but he's just good. Jel McMillan's just good. And it's sort of like Jacob, we're both making the huge bet on a Mecha
68:57Ibuka this year, but I think like what's the percentage chance that McMillan outscores Chris Godwin this year in PPR without an injury?
69:05>> 20%.
69:06>> Yeah. So, I think that's and that's a that's reflected with the draft capital.
69:10And then you've still got the you've got the the chance that Godwin just gets injured again and there's aggravation.
69:16He's 30 plus. And McMillan, I think what's interesting is he was so good in 2024 down the stretch. There was so much
69:24positivity with him in 2024 after they took him in the third round, just how good he was in training camp. I remember
69:29like sort of the the talk of the of of fantasy was how good Bucky Irving is and how good Jaylen McMillan were um in the
69:37same off season. Then McMillan has the scary injury last year. Comes back from it and now the vibes are really good. I
69:44mean Tampa based social media is trying to to pump up Jaylen McMillan every chance they can. Uh so really an interesting one there. Let's give a
69:52quick um review of our team. I think we've done damage here. Like we said, how do we like our team after that
69:59Washington tilting correlation play? I think we've caught up very well. Omar and Hampton in round one, Ashton Genty in round two, Jaylen Wadd in round
70:08three, Tyler Warren in round four, Christian Watson in round five, Sam Leaporta in round six. Then we tilted out, went Washington with Jaden Daniels
70:19and Rashad White in the seven eight turn. Then we got Casey Conpsion, a player that we both really really like at the 912. We took Stfan Diggs and
70:30miraculously at the same time we took him essentially people are announcing Jordan Schultz is saying he's signing with the Commanders. So we end up with
70:37three Washington commanders. We get Dejon Stribbling at the 1112, Chris Rodriguez at 1201, Terrence Ferguson at the 1312, Jaylen McMillan at
70:47the 1401. We just talked about the bullcase with Jaylen McMillan. What's a bull scenario? Give us like your biggest positive scenario for Terrence Ferguson
70:57this year. What would have to happen for him to be a really fun player for us to roster in fantasy?
71:03>> Probably an injury to Devonte Adams, which is realistic. Um, I mean, he's probably near the the top of, you know,
71:10predictable injuries at wide receiver.
71:12You obviously don't want to bank on that, but it's definitely a possibility.
71:15Um, I also think if Puka were to get hurt, which again, you don't want to bank on that, but the guy plays like an
71:21absolute maniac >> and he's a little bit maniacal in his in his personal life, too. Let's throw that out there, too. You don't see uh you
71:28don't you don't have the same levels of fears with Jamar Chase or Aman Ross St.
71:34Brown or Jackson Smith and Jigba that you do with Pukuna just doing something a little crazy. [laughter] >> So, I like Tfur because he can do a
71:42little bit of everything. He can definitely coming into the league, I thought his best trait was probably the getting him moving on a horizontal path
71:49and then running and striding out. Um, super long dude and I think can just catch that ball and outrun people, out
71:56angle people. He's a lot faster than they're they're realizing and can get some chunk plays that way. Um, so I think some of the catch and run stuff is
72:03like some of the stuff that you do with Puka you could potentially do with him, but he also last year showed a real
72:10ability to win in contested catch situations and he needed to come down with all of them, but I thought it was
72:15encouraging that they went to him a lot.
72:17Sean McVey went to this rookie a lot where on important like third downs, they would isolate him on one side as
72:24the only route runner over there and have route designs where they're trying to get him a jump ball, get him a
72:30one-on-one on that side because they're overloading the other side for where the defense is more focused on the receivers over there. And he came down with some
72:37of them. And then in the red zone, they were doing some of that, too. And in the preseason, I remember watching his his
72:42deployment. He didn't he missed a couple games, but then he got in his deployment and his route running and everything.
72:46and it seemed like they were really focused on using him down the field more than I would have expected. I thought he
72:52was going to be more of just a catch- run guy. You don't often see a lot of tight ends that are used vertically. Um,
72:59unless that was very clear that that's what their skill set was coming in like Elijah Royo or Kyle Pittz or something
73:04like that's what they did in college.
73:07But that's not exactly what Ferguson was. He was more of a catch and run guy at Oregon. But right away it was clear
73:12they wanted to use him that way. And I really liked the the tempoing to his routes and stuff where he was actually
73:16able to create separation and then stack and it's the preseason, but stack defenders and beat them down the field with his speed. I'm like, "Wow, this is
73:25really interesting for a tight end."
73:27>> And then we see them slowly build to roll out as the year goes on. Um, but I think that there's just a lot of
73:34different ways he can contribute. So, if anyone in the offense is to get hurt, then maybe he steps in. Um, and then I
73:40also think he has the requisite size and physicality to potentially be a big blocker. We often see Titans from year one to year two make that step where
73:50they can play way more than they did in year one. Um, because they've got a better grasp of the offense. They had
73:55another offseason. They did all the training and everything necessary to get stronger and ready for the rigors of a NFL season. And so I just feel really
74:02really good placing that bet on a guy who's I know is very talented and is very cheap as he goes into year two
74:07where we often see so many tight end breakouts in a great offense.
74:10>> Yeah, I mean you you nailed it. There's been a a lot of like bullish takes on Terrence Ferguson on m with multiple
74:18creators who've come on my podcast. Um, I think he's he's a really fun upside bet. And we talk about the 2025 tight
74:24end class where I remember going on Dynasty podcast and I said, "This is a transformative year at the tight end position." And I got people sort of
74:32laughing at me a little bit with that take. It It came true. Look at where these guys are being drafted. Tyler
74:38Warren, Harold Fannon Jr., uh, and certainly Colston Lovelin. All those guys are steaming up. Well, Terrence Ferguson was also an early day two pick
74:47for LA. Um, I think he's athletically gifted. There's just a lot to like and it's a cheap upside swing. And we take
74:54Terrence Ferguson and then you see AJ Barner, Kenyan Sadique, Pat Frith, Daltton Schultz, Gunnerhelm, and Greg Doulsich all go off the board within 10
75:02picks of one another. So, I think we were right to get our tight end three.
75:06Interesting one there. Uh, we have the the queue loaded up. EMTT Johnson goes off the board here. Um, we also see
75:13Antonio Williams go to Tommy Lerretti at the 101. He would have been an interesting way to build a little bit further correlation. Sort of a if one of
75:22the older wide receivers goes down, Antonio Williams would have a pathway. I do think that like Antonio Williams is the biggest loser from the Stfane Diggs
75:32signing with Washington. Jacob, do you agree with that? Yeah.
75:35>> Yeah. I was curious if we might get him to fall like to round 18 or something.
75:38You know what I mean? If people would react to the news. Um, in which case then I would be fine taking him because
75:43I do think he could play inside and out.
75:44I don't think that Diggs presence necessarily has to preclude him from still having a chance to produce if he's as good as they build him up to be. Um,
75:52and if they pass a lot, but yeah, I think at this draft range, there's other players I prefer.
75:58>> Yeah. And I think we've got a really fun Q coming up. Uh, running back-wise, we're only at four, but we're at a good
76:06four. Um, you're in the kind of the fun upside uh handcuff tier here. You were correct on the wide receivers that we
76:15talked about. One of them would fall, one of them will fall. Uh, I think we're we're open-minded to multiple things here. I'm I'm just going to throw out in
76:24terms of a quarterback two here, I might like the two guys that I have queued up sort of a little lower than than player
76:33number one. Um, and it that sort of makes me open-minded and maybe we could push it back to the next one. Having a
76:40QB2, I think, is not the worst idea in the world. I'd rather lean into very good offenses than the rushing upside
76:49here. I I understand Malik Willis, but I think if we're going to go QB2, I might prefer a Mayfield, which gives us a
76:56little correlation with with McMillan, Shuck, which just gives us a great offense. Before we do that, we're wide receiver. Do you want to cram in one
77:04more wide receiver? I also think running back is interesting here. Uh, running back-wise, I think that the the two handcuffed running backs actually
77:14make sense for our build. It allows us to stay fragile. What's your lean? Who's your favorite player in the queue here,
77:20Jacob? Let's get one of yours and then one of mine.
77:22>> I Is it out of consideration to just go two receivers here and just draft both of these rookie receivers that we like
77:27and we were considering last round? I know. Oh, I don't think it's I don't think it's I don't think it's out of the
77:31question.
77:32>> That's what I would do.
77:33>> Let's just take him. Let's take uh Who's your preferred one? Let's take Boston, who I like.
77:38>> Mhm.
77:39>> And then let's let's take Omar Cooper Jr. Um Kron Allen would have been interesting. Just before we take it, I'll say Kron we had in the queue.
77:47Anybody sort of wondering, Katron Allen?
77:50Katron Allen went. So Kron Allen and Rashad White would have given us a double bet towards the Washington backfield. I'm kind of glad we didn't
77:57have to build that. I do think some of these running backs will be there. Um, Cooper, I've I've been taking a lot of
78:05Adai Mitchell, but I do think Cooper's got a pathway after the Kenyon Sadi being banged up. So, we can always cut
78:14one of these guys if it's not working out, too. I think we'll know very early on sort of the usage. But, Cooper, they
78:20took in the first round. Let's make a double rookie wide receiver bet. And we're officially done at wide receiver, Jacob. We have actually in in FFPC you
78:30definitely don't need to have an eight eight wide receiver build. You can walk out of a FFBC room with six wide
78:36receivers and feel fine. But I do think we were chasing a little bit of upside here after only having two through the
78:43first eight rounds and we've sort of scattershoted it with a number of these guys. Um, >> I feel a little uncomfortable at running
78:51back, but I think what we've got here is you get to week one, you see what the role is for these two rookies. And I'm
78:56fine dropping Boston right away. I know that you love them. I would even be fine dropping Cooper, too. Um, I want to I do
79:02want to talk about the two of them. Um, and compare them side by side. Um, to me, they're both really interesting
79:07where it's like you might get right away confirmation of what their role could be. Um, and of course you always want to
79:13be patient with rookies, but at the same time I just if Boston is like not a big part of their plans. I'm I'm fine
79:20letting him go because I don't even know if he's ever going to have a fantasy friendly game as a rookie um with a
79:26quarterback situation that they have.
79:28Cooper Jr. is a little more interesting, especially if Sadique is missing time early on and takes a little bit more time than expected to find his footing
79:35where he could be the second piece in the offense, right? Like I I like AD Mitchell, but I think I just I gravitate
79:42so much more strongly towards the short inside out receivers who can you can build out catch and run opportunities with than I do the downfield guys. Um it
79:52it just is it seems very unlikely to me that AD Mitchell is going to get enough targets to matter for fantasy. Um
79:59whereas Cooper, you could see him get six, seven, eight targets in games early on in his rookie season. Um, I I think
80:07Garrett Wilson is where the offense obviously functions through and then they've got more of these short catch and run guys and AD Mitchell is going to
80:14be creating space for those guys. Um, so I I like the idea of taking as many shots as we can on these later receivers
80:23to see if any of them have upside or are trending in the right direction and then we can always kind of filter out and try
80:28to get more upside handcuff type running back bullets on the bench. And I really think it it's weird to have so many
80:36receivers on the team, but [snorts] again, we went sort of light at receiver where we started with running backs. Um, we took two tight ends in the first, I
80:44think, five rounds. Um, and so then you've got Watson and Wadd who we like as conviction bets, but are both prove
80:50it guys. We need to see them actually do it, live up to the upside, and we need to actually see them be healthy. And if
80:56either or both of them aren't, then we really need as many shots at upside, I think, as possible, which is why I like
81:02drafting a bunch of receivers here and just letting it play out.
81:05>> Yeah, it's fine. And I think like the we lose out on Tyler Shuck there going people used to do this in 350s in FFPC
81:14and sometimes in NFC where a couple years ago it was naked QB builds where you took only one quarterback. Now, it's
81:23gone completely opposite where you're see you'll end up seeing more teams that take three quarterbacks than take one quarterback. But the thing to remember
81:31is quarterbacks get cut. The teams draft three quarterbacks don't necessarily carry three quarterbacks. Um so I think like passing up a quarterback there was
81:41felt weird, but um it's it's not the end of the world. I think we can end up with a quarterback. I think we're going to
81:48need another running back before the end of this draft. Um, we do miss out on Mike Washington, which would have been
81:54sort of the rule in these drafts. And I'll shout out to Abib Agboba, who's uh won this contest twice. Uh, his sort of
82:02general rule for handcuffing is one that I usually follow as well, that handcuffing is fine if you really like your team. And I think we like our team.
82:11We could have gone Mike Washington there. Um, will we regret it only if Ashen Genty gets injured? But it if it
82:18the thing about handcuffs is I think a lot of people look at it as as a zero sum game where running back goes down
82:25and handcuff goes in and plays the entire season. It could also be Ashen Genty takes a slight knock and you have
82:32a 2 three week period where Mike Washington leads the backfield.
82:35>> Are those weeks going to be valuable enough that they're going to kill us?
82:38Potentially. Depends on when they fall.
82:41Um, but you know, handcuffing is not a necessity, but I think some people will look at it and say, "I never handcuff in
82:47these major tournaments." I think that if you talk to some of the most successful drafters, they don't necessarily agree on that. Uh, so I
82:54think you have to be open-minded with that. Um, shout out to Nikki Banks in in the chat. She's saying, "Rip" to the
83:00Chika Conquo stands out there. How much does uh Stfan Diggs hurt Chika Conquo, Jacob?
83:05>> I think probably a lot, right? I I could be wrong, but I think that they'll probably operate a lot in the same area
83:10and Diggs will be more of the priority there. So, Ako is probably at this point more of the checkown option and I think
83:17Jane Daniels likes to run a lot, you know, so I don't know how often he'll actually be checking down.
83:24>> Speaking of the three QB builds, interesting team, too. Um, waited on quarterback till round 11, took Matthew Stafford, then took Jared Goff in round
83:3312, and then takes Baker Mayfield in round 16. We've seen some very successful drafters sort of utilizing this three quarterback build strategy,
83:42sort of taking a bet on which teams have the best sort of game flow and usage.
83:47Probably they're going to end up cutting one of those quarterbacks though would be my my prediction. It's just very difficult in a 20man roster FFPC format
83:56to carry three quarterbacks throughout the year. even if they're three good ones, it's just hard when when it starts the season starts moving along, you get
84:03to week one, week two, week one and week two, if you play in these sort of formats or really fantasy football in
84:10general, you don't want to sit out the week one waiverwire run, it's always one of the best runs of the season cuz even
84:16guys as smart as Jacob and some of the guests I've had on this show, and maybe myself a little bit, even if we predict
84:22things very well, there's going to be guys with way better usage in week one that we weren't anticipating. ing and NFL teams finally have to tell us the
84:30truth in week one, Jacob. It's no like no hiding it. If a guy comes out, it's the Cordel Patterson corlary where
84:37Cordary Patterson played all those snaps week one and people are like, "Oh, wow.
84:40Cordary scored 11 points, but I'm going to leave him on the waiver wire." And then all of a sudden he finishes as like
84:45the running back 12 that year. Uh teams tell us the truth in week one a lot. And sometimes teams in week two, if a guy
84:51does it two weeks in a row, uh that guy becomes very viable. Round 17, we're two picks away. Uh, we are looking at
84:59multiple options here. There's pretty clear one for us here. I think this is a no-brainer, and it fall fell to us in a
85:05in a really easy way here.
85:07>> Um, actually, no, he went. Never mind.
85:09Um, okay. We are quarterbackwise, you want to grab your QB2. And then let's take a let's take a a running back option.
85:19I'll throw out.
85:22Man, that Kamani Vidal would have been a really nice run out here, huh?
85:24>> I know. That's who I wanted. I really like Vidal. I have him at like ahead of a lot of the running backs who went like
85:30round 134. I think he's fantastic >> running that killed us where Mike Washington and Vidal we had considered last go round. I think two for two. If
85:39we would have taken Kamani Vidal ahead with our Omari and Hampton pick, we would have liked things a little bit more. Uh let's take I think I I see your
85:47Adam Randall enthusiasm. I think it's Justice Hill though. Let's take Malik Willis. at our QB2 that you like and a lot.
85:53>> Do you have any is Jordan James off the board? I mean, he's a couple of weeks.
85:59>> It's again, it's a tough player to keep.
86:00I think it I think the pick is Justice Hill. Um, I don't think Adam Randle is going to get drafted. The other player
86:06we could potentially draft. What's going on with Jaylen Wright right now?
86:10>> I don't know for sure. We'll have to see on that one. I don't think we're going to get any definitive answer until week
86:16one. Um, and or maybe it's a preseason thing, but I really think Olli Gordon is an interesting fight.
86:21>> I think Ollie Gordon's fine, too. It's Olly Gordon versus Justice Hill versus George Hani for me here.
86:26>> Um, George Helani is interesting. Kayn Black went for somebody who's saying take Kalin Black. He's gone.
86:34>> Gordon, who I have ranked the highest.
86:36>> Let's take a Olli Gordon. I think it's fine.
86:38>> Okay.
86:39>> I think it's the run out here. Um, probably the handcuff in Miami. He could probably fall the next turn, but I'm not
86:46going to mess with it. When you get into these sort of weeds, um, you know, you're you're taking some swings here. You just get a sort of a
86:53double Miami bet here as well. I don't want Devon Han to miss miss any time.
86:57Devon Han is my guy. Um, but we we go we take our running back here. So, we're extremely fragile at running back in
87:03terms of sheer numbers. After going running back at the at the the one two turn, we end up with five total running
87:10backs. and Jacob, we are officially done with skilled position players because in the FFPC you in the FFPC you are uh you have to
87:20take a kicker, you have to take a defense. Couple people saying George Hani George Helani I took him in a couple of drafts here. I've actually
87:27combined him with Jadarian Price in a few drafts. sort of a anti-Zack Charbanet coming out earliest and I think it's a fun double tap in baseball
87:36right now especially 20 round best baseball to take Helani and Price and sort of hedge against Charbanet returning before Thanksgiving Jacob I
87:45mean when are you expecting Charbanet back? I know you were you were standing for him a little earlier.
87:50>> Yeah, I just think he's way better than people realize. Um he's been super efficient on a like fantasy point per
87:55touch basis. Um he's also shown an ability to be a workhorse. He's a great pass protector. He's great in short yardage situations. The team loves him.
88:02Um and he works his ass off and like might be back sooner than expected.
88:06Cyrus Allen. Um of course that's a person who's here in the chat. Um I like the James Conor pick too.
88:13>> I don't my guess is that they ease him back in and he's at full strength in the second half or something close to full
88:20strength in the second half and that's just enough to be annoying for the um Jarian Price drafters. Um, but I do
88:28think there's a there's a chance that he's if the offense is better than expected that he's, you know, somebody you can plug in as a touchdown based
88:34play as a flex late in the year. So, I actually do draft Sharbon some. I don't I haven't taken Helani anywhere. I think
88:40it's interesting that people gravitate towards him because even last year when he played it was basically just it was like um Laquent Allen for the Jaguars
88:48where it's like he's he's a pass protector basically um and it's a worse offense than the than the Jaguars potentially. Um I don't I don't really
88:59know. I mean I'm I'm a little bit nervous about Seattle. I told you we did that episode where we just took some
89:05teams off the draft board, took 10 of them off the dboard. And Seattle was one that I was considering taking off, as
89:09crazy as that sounds, because they scored a lot of points last year. But I think they could take a step backwards.
89:13I'm nervous about their offensive line.
89:16All of the volume goes to one player and you have to pay a huge price to get JSN.
89:22Um, and I think the rest of the the team is just kind of split up where you've got Cooper Cup doing his thing, Rashidah
89:27doing his thing, Tory Horton potentially playing a role, two tight ends that play, and you've got a backfield that might be compartmentalized among three
89:35different players. So, I just kind of avoid Seattle for the most part.
89:40>> Uh, question in the chat. This is actually a good way for us to promote something at Rotoire. Thoughts on quarterback running back stacks in
89:47general. Is it better to have a mobile quarterback or pocket passer with a bellcow? There was a great article just most recently written by John McKnney.
89:56You can read that for free over at rotowire.com. We did a baseball uh guide where you can get access to that. It's a
90:03usually like a like a 20some dollar package, but we're giving it away for free. You just need to add your email in
90:09there. But if you just put in best baseball uh stacking or anything like that, it's going to pop up into like
90:15Google or wherever you search. It's an excellent article in terms of reddraft for the correlation between pocket passer with a bellcow quarterback
90:26running back stacks. It's there's some argument towards it. I think that the passcatching running back would be more of the correlation play that I would
90:34look for as opposed to the uh bellcow like running quarter running uh running back with the quarterback. Your thoughts on correlation when it comes to
90:44quarterbacks and running backs, Jacob?
90:46Yeah, I mean in some instances I I like it. Um like Jared Goff and Gibbs obviously comes to mind. Like if you've
90:53got a quarterback who doesn't like to run a lot that's willing to check down or they even build stuff into the
90:57running back. Um and it's an offense you think could score a ton of points. Um, I in some instances will get Herbert and
91:04Amarin Hampton together where people take Lab and Cony earlier than I want or whatever and I so I'm not sure if I'm
91:10able to get a pass catcher, but I do end up getting a lot of Hampton early and I kind of like that where it's like I
91:15think this offs could score a ton and all of the touchdowns are probably going to come through these two for the most
91:20part. Um, so it's a not quite as intuitive as of a stack as like the quarterback pass catcher, but I think I
91:26mean obviously Joe Burrow, Chase Brown together, like you can get a lot of touchdowns from those two players and and most of the time that offense is
91:33going to be putting points on the board.
91:36>> So we're coming up to the end of the 18th round here. We see a quarterback cleanup in this round with Sam Darnold,
91:42Cam Ward, CJ Strad. We see David and Jooku go off the board. Uh Cyrus Allen, you mentioned Team Nine had a really
91:49good draft. Uh Cyrus Allen a riser right now in baseball uh and in reddraft people mixing him in. Jordan James went
91:56two picks after us. Um Olly Gordon we took where it's just a complete swing.
92:00It's a bet on Ollie Gordon being the cuff in in Miami. I think it's a team that really wants to run. Gordon I was
92:07enthusiastic about heading into 2025.
92:10Disappointed with what he was able to to deliver, but he was a hype guy at this time last year going way earlier. There
92:17was some fears with with Devon Achan that were really overblown in terms of his soreness and and his ability to play
92:23week one. So Gordon like steamed way up.
92:26He was like a 10th round pick at this time last year. Uh Jacob, and now we're starting to see the defenses go off the
92:32board. Is there a preferred defense for you? Have you started even break that down yet?
92:37>> No. Um, can you drop the defense and pick a running back up after this or do you have >> No, you have to hold the you have to
92:42roster a kicker and a and a defense um in FFPC. I think if you're drafting on Sleeper or ESPN or Yahoo, Ryan Heath
92:50always talks about this, the old don't draft one and take another shot on an upside running back or wide receiver and
92:57then add one last minute. I think that's a great way to play it. Um, but in these formats, they absolutely make you take
93:02it. Uh, we see Tyler Loop go. Uh, so we're starting to see a few kickers go off the board here. We can sort of take
93:10our pick of the litter when it comes to kickers at the 1912. Also, we got to talk about Brandon Aubrey. Brandon
93:17Aubrey goes in the 11th round. I've talked about this with with Scott Barrett. He's sort of the Josh Allen of kickers. Cam Dicker goes right after
93:24him, which almost never happens. Cam Dicker goes rounds ahead of ADP in this draft, but usually it's Brandon Aubrey and then no kicker for like several
93:32rounds. Your thoughts on that? uh like an edge pick Aubrey and in the NFL today the kickers who can kick the very deep
93:40field goals also have an edge be especially in FPC you get the uh six points for a 60 yard Bates makes sense here uh good offense
93:51indoor games >> want to take him >> hell yeah I want to take Jake Bates >> I know that's your I told Scott last
93:57year Scott does the and I'm drafting with Scott Barrett we're drafting an FFPC main event over on the Fantasy Points YouTube channel tomorrow night.
94:05Go check that one out. Scott and I, we've won an FFPC main event for like two straight years. I think the three
94:11years ago, we had like a number two finish, but we've won not the overall, not life-changing money, but we've won a
94:18nice chunk uh back-to-back years winning FFPC leagues. So, we'll look to run it back this year tomorrow night. We don't know what pick we are at. Um let's take
94:27Jake Bates. And then defensewise, >> I'm looking at either Detroit playing against New Orleans in week one.
94:35>> I worry about that secondary with Detroit, >> too. Yeah. But I think they could get a lot of pressure on Chuck in that game.
94:40That's a team that's going to pass a lot and might have to pass a lot playing from behind against Detroit and you
94:44could get turnovers and sacks. The other option for me would be the Chiefs playing uh against the Broncos in week one. Similar type of setup. I think
94:52>> I don't mind Kansas City. I think Kansas City's interesting. None of them are none of these are great options. Here's
94:58one other option, and I don't think they're a great defensive target this year by any means, but they do have a
95:03free look with San Francisco. Um, and I'm I'm interested in in Green Bay a little bit. Your thoughts on those defenses?
95:11>> I would lean towards San Fran. I think that that makes sense, too.
95:14>> I think only because of the free the free look the free looks. I like Green Bay, though, is kind of nice, though.
95:24>> Let's take San Francisco. Get the free look. I don't really know what you're >> So the free so the free look being we
95:30get San Francisco defense if the Rams end up smoking them or if they have a run out where they it's a lowscoring
95:37game but we don't get any defensive points let's say we get five points or something from them then we just cut
95:43them and pick up another streamer on the waiver wire. So that's the free look for FFPC. Uh if you're playing an FFPC, it's
95:51a great way to play it where, for instance, if Terrence Ferguson scores two touchdowns and we can go put him in
96:00our lineup too, Jacob. It works that way as well.
96:04>> Little free look, little free look advice. Okay, so we're going to review our team and we'll have Jacob sort of
96:10give his thoughts and then we're going to wrap it up. Again, if you want to play against Jacob and I and FFPC, use
96:16the code Theo25 if you are new and get $25 free dollars. And I think a great way to to like test it before you spend
96:23$350 like this draft is go play in the $35 best baseball tournament, if using our code, you're going to get that
96:31access for basically $10, you can win $100,000 in that baseball tournament.
96:36That's superflex, but it's a fantastic tournament. I'll have a few entries there. I also want to give a big shout out to Tyler Canal who joined the
96:44Rotoire team today. Speaking of baseball, he's a fantastic creator, does a ton of baseball stuff. You're gonna check him out as well as Jim Coventry
96:52over at Rotoire Live YouTube. And look for Tyler to join me on one of these shows soon. Really excited to work with
96:58Tyler. I think he's a rising star in fantasy. Uh just an awesome awesome get for us. So Jacob, we go Amarian Hampton
97:05Ashton Genty. Any thoughts on that run out or just move on?
97:09>> I like it a I think there's massive upside. I think either one of those guys could be like a top five pick next year.
97:14>> That's a great way of looking at it.
97:15Like those guys could both be top five picks next year. And that's probably the best run out for us is Hampton and Genty
97:21are going where Gibbs and Bejian are going next year. Probably means we won some money with this team. Jaylen Wadd, Tyler Warren. Any regrets on the Warren
97:29pick when you look at how the board ran out. Yeah. So, if I would have known for sure that I could go craft Leaporta at
97:37the five six turn, I probably would have passed on on Warren and I would have taken I think Lad Mccon would be my pick
97:43or potentially T. Higgins. Um, so that would have been tough though because I know you like Garrett Wilson a lot. So,
97:48it would have been a pick we might have regretted either way because no one knows what to do with these receivers.
97:53Maybe Luther Burton outscores all of them, you know. So, I'm pretty happy just getting Warren here and locking him in. Also, we were able to potentially
98:00get Josh Downs later, too. Um, so like the run out that I would have dreamed up kind of did play out. Um, so, you know,
98:07maybe it would have been better to go T.
98:08Higgins or something. There's a lot of upside there, but I'm I'm intrigued by the Warren Leaporta pairing.
98:12>> Yeah, I don't think that the Warren's going to hurt us. I think Warren we're going to end up liking that pick. I
98:16think it's going to be a consistent source of of tight end premium PPR value. And I think that he is probably
98:22even with Josh DS being a really strong pick right now, Warren would still be like my bet to lead the team in targets.
98:28We'll see. Downs and him will be really really close, but Warren was good last year. And if you take out the the stats
98:34from when Philip Rivers started, Warren looked even better. So I think he could take a big step forward this year.
98:41Watson Leaporta, I love that run out at the 56 turn. We Watson was such a big pick for us because if if Watson was
98:48sniped, let's say that somebody took him and he went like one pick before, then we would have been kind of stuck. We
98:55probably would have taken Parker Washington with Leaporta, which is less dangerous in my opinion. Then the Daniels White correlation along with
99:04Diggs, that ran out really well for us, didn't it?
99:07>> Yeah, I think so. I'm pretty intrigued to see how this is going to play out. I mean, if Washington hits the top of
99:11their range of outcomes, this team could score so many points, dude.
99:15>> So, Casey Conpsion, you made the long form take. If you want to hear Jacob's long form bull take on Casey Conpsion,
99:22look at our most recent podcast. If you're listening on the podcast feed or if you're watching on YouTube, the most recent Jacob Gibbs uh show, he talked
99:29about the bullc case for Casey Conpsion.
99:31Let's go like the two sentence version or you know the the 30 secondond version. How does Casey Conpion get there this year?
99:38>> I think he's almost as good as Luther Bird with a ball in his hands. I think he's the type of player that you can
99:42just scheme things to and I think Cleveland is going to have to potentially be passing the ball a ton. I know they would like to run but they
99:48might have to pass a ton if they're playing from behind. So you could see Conpsion get a lot of manufactured touches and potentially create some
99:54explosive plays on his own.
99:56>> Love the Diggs pick especially how it worked out for us. Dejon Stribbling really really fun one for us. Chris Rodriguez we talked about before. Uh
100:04Ferguson we went on at length. The one guy that we didn't get really get your thoughts on was dribbling. Stribbling at
100:091112 again felt like a great value to me.
100:12>> Yeah man, that's I I like this team a I'm looking at it and I'm like, we have like 10 players who are in year one or
100:18year two. And so in a format where you're really focused on trying to get a lot of upside at the end of the season
100:24specifically, um, if I'm understanding how this works, it's your cumulative points across weeks 15 through 17 and then you add your seasonl long average
100:34to that.
100:35>> Well, no. So you start out if you get to the let's say we get to the promised land where you win this league, you
100:39finish second or you win the little playoff. Um you there's multiple ways to get there. It's you can be the team with
100:46the best record, you can be the the team with uh the most points and again top top two get in and then there so top two
100:54get in of of weeks uh one through uh 14 >> and then you get to the playoff run or excuse me 1 through 13 and then the
101:02playoff run. [snorts] Sorry, I'm misspeaking here. I've done a million of these. But basically you have multiple ways to get there. If you get to the
101:09weeks 15 through 17 playoff run where you're competing for the massive money, your your score for the season counts and then it just gets cumulatively
101:19added. So your teams that have been one overall in the regular season doesn't really mean a whole lot. It does mean
101:27something but >> you score 400 points across the three playoff weeks and then you averaged 120 points. Is your number 520?
101:38Yes, it's cumulative. Um, so but but yeah, 120 is not getting you there. Not 120 is not getting you there. We got to
101:44we got to aim way higher. We want to average 150 plus points per game in this format.
101:48>> Yeah. So we've got um scribbling.
101:51Stribbling is fun. You talked about Cro, you talked about Ferguson. We talked about McMillan. You made the bullcase for Cooper Boston. Make your little
101:59Malik Willis uh uh stand here. Like Malik Willis, how good could his season be? Well, we really have no idea, but at
102:06this price, it's such an easy click. Um, because he's on a per game, per drop back, per opportunity basis, per rush,
102:14he looks like one of the best, if not the best rushing quarterbacks in the NFL, and that tracks dating back to
102:20college as well. I watched every snap that he took in Green Bay. Um, and I watched all his Tennessee snaps, too.
102:27Um, over the years, and he's made clear progression as he's gone along.
102:31Obviously, the play caller and designer and everything that was happening at Green Bay helped to um put him in such a
102:36good infrastructure there, and we don't know if it's going to be like that in Miami. But if this guy's out there
102:41playing, I think the rushing alone is going to be enough for him to be like a top 15 quarterback. And if you have to
102:46plug him in, if Jaden Daniels gets hurt, then you can trust that you've got a floor of at least like 12ish points if
102:52he just has the minimum like six points as a passer, six points as a rusher, you know? But there's upside for a lot more
103:00I think because he actually can dude it's there's only a handful of these plays 10 15 plays but like on drop backs
103:08where it was just a straight drop back you have to read out the defense it's not even play action or anything it's
103:12like third and 14 third and 19 you have to just actually make a real quarterback play you see glimpses of him in Green
103:17Bay throwing with anticipation throwing with accuracy and timing and touch and it's like we don't know how this is going to extrapolate. we've barely seen
103:25him play even in college, you know, where he was dropping back very often.
103:29But if it does, then it's potentially like a top eight type of fantasy quarterback that you got for free. Um, I
103:37don't feel super confident in his weapons there, but I think that there's some path to him potentially scoring points um in a big way if the offense is
103:47just fine. And he's got talented offensive linemen. I think they could build out an interesting run game there.
103:52Um, and then he's got some guys who can create after the catch. Obviously, Achan Malik Washington is somebody who can create after the catch as well. And then
104:00I'm actually irrationally high on Chris Bell, the rookie that they drafted, and think he's somebody who could add to the offense, add an explosive element down
104:07the stretch. Um, so you can kind of tell yourself a story where it's like this could work if he stays healthy and is in
104:13there all year.
104:15Yeah, it's an interesting pick and I think as a QB2, especially in a in a four-point passing touchdown format like this, it makes some sense. Ali Gordon is
104:23is simply a contingent upside bet behind our guy Devon Chan.
104:28>> I actually think there's a chance that he has a role in week one. They >> they used him in short yardage
104:33situations. Like they actually had a role for him last year. Um, and there were times where he was coming in and
104:39getting like a significant playing time and even taking away some of those short yardage plays from Devon Achan. Um, there was all the the steam on him last
104:47year going into the year for a reason.
104:48He looked really good in the preseason.
104:49And he's a guy who we've seen operate in a three down role in the past. Like in college, this guy before his offense and
104:56his team completely fell apart and lost 10 straight games in his final season.
105:00The year before that, he was expected to be like a top three running back in his draft class. So the talent is there for
105:06him to play on all three downs if something were to happen to Han. And I also think he just offers a nice
105:10complent to Han. And because he has the three down skill set where he can pass protect and he can do the shortarded
105:15stuff that gives you the creativity if you want. I don't know if I'm trusting Bobby Slow to do this or whatever, but
105:22you can split a Chan out more and more out wide and stuff like that. This is the classic fantasy football dream where
105:28the nerds think that you're going to have two running backs on the field at the same time and it almost never
105:31happens. But they could do that, right?
105:33like on a team with no receivers, play a chain at receiver. He's been awesome.
105:36Anytime he's been able to go out and play receiver, you see him routing people up, winning on contest catches down the field and stuff. He's such a
105:43freaking talented guy. And Gordon, I think, could allow them to do more and more of that because you can trust him
105:48in the back field, even if he's not some super explosive play threat or anything.
105:52>> Yeah, really interesting one there. Jake Bates, uh, shout out to our guy Scott Barrett. Uh, Jake Bates was my Exodia
105:57kicker last year. I know Scott Scott never reveals an Exodia kicker, but Jake Bates was my guy last year. you get all
106:03these indoor games with him. He's also a very good kicker. Uh easy click and we don't have any other Lions besides
106:08Leaporta. So, you know, that sort of level of correlation is fine. Um I I don't necessarily love like having a kicker with like a quarterback, but a
106:17kicker with a tight end is perfectly fine. And then San Francisco defense, not a big like stat stamp of approval on
106:24San Francisco. It's just simply a let's have an ugly opening game where Terrence Ferguson catches two touchdowns, no other Rams score anything. uh and San
106:32Francisco wins 17 to 14 Jacob and they get a pick six with one of them, then we'll we'll roll with them. And if not,
106:38we're sending them right back to the waiverwire. Make sure you check out Beyond the Box Score. Jacob is absolutely cooking over there. Check out
