0:00talking about players fantasy football is completely wrong about Theo Griminger, lead fantasy analyst right here at Rotoire, joined today by Cody
0:07Carpenter of Roster Watch and Orangeb Bloods. Cody, let's talk about Justin Jefferson because Justin Jefferson I drafted the other day at the 2011 in an
0:18FFPC $350 entry draft. He settled in in some formats as the really most formats right now. I'm seeing him off the board
0:26as like wide receiver six, Justin Jefferson, and wide receiver five sometimes. And I'm seeing some people full-on fading him, dropping him into
0:36like 18, 19 in their rankings. In my rankings over at rotowire.com, I have him at nine overall, which I feel like is is about where you should be
0:45drafting a player like this. Where are you at on Justin Jefferson? And why are we seeing people fading an elite talent
0:53that's produced in every single season as a pro but one?
0:58>> This is what it's all about. This is this is the art of fantasy football.
1:02What have you done for me lately? You know, the big conversation right now, of course, in fantasy is the 101, 102, Jir
1:08Gibbs, Bejian Robinson, and after that it's like, well, you look at the wide receiver position and everyone drools over Puka. Uh, everyone loves JSN from
1:17last year. You kind of know what Aman Ross ain't Brown is. I can't forget about Jamar Chase, but what have you
1:22done for me lately? It kind of you could lump in Lamb and Jefferson together right here, but the difference between the two guys, CD Lamb and Justin
1:29Jefferson, who were going at the end of the first round there and like you the 2011 is that Lamb has to play with a guy
1:35named George Pickins, right? And I love Jordan Addison, don't get me wrong, but he isn't quite to that level yet. Now,
1:42can can Jordan get to the Pickkins level and be, you know, a 1A1B or a one somewhere? Yeah, sure. I do believe that
1:49that's in the range of outcomes for Jordan Addison, but he's not quite there yet right now. And when you go up there
1:53like I was a week and a half ago at Vikings training camp and this was before Kyler Murray was announced as a
1:59starting quarterback, it was clear that Kyler was going to be the starting quarterback. And Addison wasn't the focal point of this offense. I mean, it
2:07continued to be Jefferson. Jefferson wags the dog with the fan base.
2:11Jefferson's the central point of this offense, running every route in the tree. Um, Addison's out there just as much as he is, but there's no question
2:20who the who who is, you know, the elf of this offense. And again, you're talking about an age 27 season where, you know,
2:27we're we're like a year away, if it happens again this year, from looking at this start of the career and you're
2:32going thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand th Mike Evans did, but this is at a much more prolific level. And I go into 2026
2:42with Kyler Murray and I think you also had this inherent Kyler Murray hate, right, that people were like, well, you know, he can't really perform, you know,
2:50and and and feed alpha wide receivers.
2:52And I go, well, in Arizona, I mean, it's that's kind of wrong, I would say. I mean, Trey McBride had 147 targets,
2:59right? He had 1100 yards. He was a tight end, but he fed him. And in that same offense, Marvin Harrison Jr. uh as a
3:06rookie got 120 targets. So, I still think it can be done. And if you really want to go back, Theo, you go back to
3:12the DeAndre Hopkins year, of course, in Arizona, right? DeAndre Hopkins back in that would have been 2000, I think it was 2020. Um, he had 115 receptions, 160
3:22targets, 1400 yards, six touchdowns.
3:24Like, to me, the writing's in the wall for Justin Jefferson to bounce right back to where he once was, and he should
3:30be in that top four or five conversation, but he's not.
3:32>> I I absolutely agree with you. And when you start looking at like I've made a bull case for Drake London. And I've
3:38made a bullc case for AJ Brown. We're going to talk about another wide receiver who I have sort of in that same
3:44mix of guys. But when you look at like the quality of the player, there's a lot of AJ Brown over Justin Jefferson takes
3:51out there. I understand Drake May is is just this unbelievable talent at quarterback, but I think we're sort of missing a rare opportunity that you can
3:58get Justin Jefferson sometimes in the second rounds of drafts. If you want to take your game to another level, consider a subscription to rotoire.com.

4:25That's Theo35, which is going to get you 35% off of a RotoWire subscription.
4:31Let's crush our leagues together this season. And I'm glad you brought up Trey McBride because people love pointing out it like the the wide receiver success
4:40rate with with with uh Kyler Murray. And I'm like, hold on a second. We had Trey McBride going out of his way saying that
4:47there were plays where he was scripted to be the third option, but Kyler would just force feed him the ball. Kyler
4:54understands how the bread is buttered.
4:56And we saw it with DeAndre Hopkins early in his career. We saw it with Trey McBride recently. Trey McBride had a
5:0229.3% target share in 2024 at the tight end position. Justin Jefferson can get up to that 31 32% target share uh this year
5:12with with Kyler. No question in my mind.
5:14And I just feel like it's a it's a lot of kind of it's a lot of fear and laziness in the market to leave a player
5:20like Justin Jefferson who Cody might have like four more Smash seasons left in him uh based on his age and based on
5:27his experience levels. And I think we're just sort of missing the forest for the trees there. I I want to pivot over and
5:32talk about uh a quarterback because I'm going to talk about Jared Goff who is going off the board right now as the
5:40quarterback 16. And I think there's a chance that we could see a 40 touchdown pass season out of golf this year. And
5:49when we look at what Goff has been able to do, quarterback 15 in in ADP, he's been the quarterback 13, the quarterback
5:56seven, and the quarterback 11 in three consecutive years. We've got this unbelievable offensive environment for him this year where we know about Aman
6:05Ross St. Brown. Sam Leaporta is back on the field after missing time last year.
6:10Jameson Williams has taken multiple steps forward. We know how Jameson put up all those smash weeks. Jameson's 25 years old, ready to go. And then we look
6:18at how the Lions are made up this year where Cody, there's some problems in that secondary. This could be a shootout
6:24team. They're playing every game indoors and the Vegas markets are basically telling us when you look at the the odds on favorite to lead the NFL in passing
6:33yardage this year. Jared Goff is like towards the very top in the Vegas and really the all the odds based markets.
6:40So, for me, I feel like we're missing out an opportunity where nobody sort of talks about Jared Goff as a quote
6:47unquote league winner. And I understand that he doesn't have the rushing upside like we're chasing at the quarterback position, but sort of what are we doing
6:54here? You can wait on quarterback and get Jared Goff. I think he could be this year's version of 2025 Matthew Stafford.
7:01>> I think you're you're nailing this thing here with Jared Goff. And it's not a guy that I'm heavy in right now, but when
7:07you look at all the numbers like you brought up, like for us over at rosterwatch.com, you get a pro membership and not only do you get, you
7:12know, the ultimate draft cheat sheet, dynasty rankings and stuff, but you get the fantasy schedule environments, right? Layout where Alex goes in here,
7:19he looks up all he he kind of breaks down everything, the the dome games, the indoor games, outdoor games, late season, international, everything.
7:26Detroit's got the fifth best alignment for that. only one outdoor game the latter part of the season that comes in week 17 at Chicago uh divisional game
7:35the previous six games so your whole playoff run getting the getting to the playoffs is a dome indoor game right and
7:41then you look at the quarterback strength of schedule Detroit number one number one in the strength of schedule to begin the season you got New Orleans
7:49you got the Jets Arizona all healthy healthy uh games to open the season and then again like I talked about the back
7:55end with all those indoor games Tampa Atlanta, Tennessee, Minnesota, coupled with the fact that you brought up, I think this Detroit back end, you know, I
8:03still love Brian Branch and whatnot, but this the back end is is suffering quite a bit here and it's going to kind of co
8:11culminate in what could be a team that averages like you I mean they can average north of 30 points a game, 35 30
8:17like they can get up to the highest scoring team.
8:20>> This could be 35 points a game. I think like we need to start talking about 35 points a game. Cody, I think a lot of
8:26people will kind of laugh at that 35 point a game number. When's the last time you saw the NFC North in this good
8:32a shape offense-wise where you can just picture the shootouts now? I mean, and understand there's weather is a factor, but it's the weather is not a factor for
8:41Detroit like it is some of these other teams where you've got Chicago Bears, you got you talked about Kyler Murray, we talked about Justin Jefferson,
8:47Minnesota Vikings are going to get back to being a highly functional offense, and then you got the Green Bay Packers who have some offensive line issues, but
8:56real quality at the wide receiver position. Uh, real quality with Tucker Craft back on the field at tight end, and we know Jordan Love is capable of of
9:04getting into a shootout with anybody.
9:05So, for me, I think everything's sort of leaning in on the Lions. Another player who you wanted to talk about, and I'm
9:11really excited about this one, and we'll add a note. We we understand that there was a groin injury. We have a lack of
9:17clarity about how extensive this thing is. Aaron Glenn doesn't seem to think it's a massive deal for Bruce Hall, but let's say Bree Hall, it's 2 weeks, 3
9:26weeks. Bruce Hall is lined up for a bellcow role this year. And I think it's another player that it's what have you
9:33done for me lately? Well, we know Bree Hall is capable of putting up huge reception total numbers. And we know that Bree Hall last year had his first
9:42thousand-y season, and we know that Bree Hall had led the NFL, or not not led the NFL, but he was way up there in terms of
9:50explosive runs and explosive runs.
9:53Fourth in breakaway runs last year, 17 runs that went for 15 plus yards. He had eight runs that went for 20 plus. And we
10:01have optimism about the New York Jets offensive line this year, but there's still drafters sort of fading Bree Hall.
10:07I was able to get him at the 312 the other day in an FFPC league.
10:12>> I love that. And I think consistently getting Bree Hall. Um, you know, Trashman put up a video. It's pretty solid actually. And he was talking about
10:21postype sleepers and Bree Hall being one of those guys this year. And I I think he kind of nailed it. And then this
10:27Bruce Hall injury kind of pops up.
10:28Again, there's question marks kind of around it. We don't have clarity like you said, but if it's a tweak, I mean,
10:34you're looking at maybe dayto day to a week, right? If it's true grade one, this is from Jesse Morse, uh, when this
10:40immediately came out, grade one, you're looking at about two weeks. And then if it's a grade two, which is kind of worst
10:45case scenario here outside of a tear, you're looking at kind of six weeks. And date to date from injury Monday was it
10:52Monday August 17th was the date of the injury. Uh until game number one for the New York Jets is four weeks. So four
11:01weeks where they know what Bruce Hall is. They don't need it's not like they need to go out here and be like, "Hey,
11:05Bruce Hall, are you good enough to make the team?" No. Like let's let's go let's give Isaiah Davis and Brilen Allen these
11:12good training camp reps with the first team so that if this does happen in the season, they have it. But Bree Hall, if
11:17we get a little a couple more picks of value on Bree Hall, uh, I'd love that.
11:21Like you brought up, end of the third round, I wouldn't mind getting him in the fourth if they allow us to. I think
11:25what this is going to impact more than anything is going to be, you know, what happens to the Braille Allen, Isaiah
11:31Davis kind of ADPs through this through this little injury thing. And, uh, do people jump the shark on on on Brilen
11:38Allen kind of push him up into the single digit rounds?
11:41>> I I like Brillin Allen. I've been drafting Brillin Allen. I I would refrain on sort of bumping him into elite handcuff territory as of now. Um
11:50but yeah, definitely definitely an interesting one there. Let's >> Is that Is that because you think it's a split with Davis if something were to
11:57happen?
11:57>> No, I mean I love Brillin Allen. You know, the two of us have sort of talked about Brilan Allen for like I mean
12:02forever since he was in Wisconsin. Um I I I love Brillin Allen. I do think that there would be the not the same
12:09passcatching upside for Brillin Allen. I think Brilen Allen could be a very effective runner um if he was given the opportunity. I think we could see some
12:16strong rushing totals, but I do think it would be more Davis and I do think that there would probably be a little bit
12:21boost to the pass catchers if Bree Hall missed some time. You know, getting the ball in the in the the hands of like
12:26Adai Mitchell uh and certainly Garrett Wilson targeted to the to the moon. If Bree Hall missed some time and and Garrett Wilson was healthy, I think we
12:36could I mean, let's say it was a nightmare scenario. I think you could look at like Garrett Wilson being like maybe the leading target earner in the
12:42NFL. I think the offense would change a little bit, but the the Bellcow workhorse is definitely Bree Hall in this offense and I have him very high up
12:50in my ranks over at Rotoire. You can get access to them. Uh, and I'm going to be updating them every single day. So, if
12:55we do get some catastrophic return, I will adjust him a little bit, but I'm not going to adjust them probably as
13:01much as the market. Use the code Theo35.
13:04get 35% off of all of my rankings and content over at Rotoire. Cody, also will add that Bruce Hall's current ADP at the
13:11time we're recording this uh in the FFPC, he's going right about the middle of the third round. So, uh like you
13:18said, if we see start seeing more fourth round opportunities for Bruce Hall, I think that opens up some unbelievable drafting opportunities where you could
13:26get him as your running back three or you could wait on running back two. So, really interesting one there. And if you
13:31want to compete against me in the FFPC, uh you can go sign up. Use the code Theo25 and you're going to get 25 free dollars
13:39in FFPC cash. I'm drafting a ton of teams over there. Cody, you dropped uh you know, and I I'd say this one where
13:47we've been on Casey Conpsion forever and and we we were sort of talking about Casey Conpsion when we were at the
13:53Senior Bowl. Uh really all last season.
13:56Brett Whitefield included. I'll give him a big shout out for that one. But I remember my first conversation about Casey Conpsion where watching him play
14:04at&m. We knew about him at NC State and I was recording the NFL draft podcast with with Brett Whitefield. You joined
14:10us on that show last year uh when I was at Fantasy Points. And I said to Brett, I was like, "This guy's Z Flowers 2.0."
14:17And Brett turns to me and he goes, "That's not high enough. You you got to you got to got to go way higher on that
14:22one." And uh he said that, you know, he saw some Aman on Ross St. Brown, like a twitchier, faster Aman Ross St. round,
14:28which I wasn't I'm not sure about that one. Uh Bree Casey's a a little lighter, but this is sort of the level of talent
14:35and the potential usage we could see.
14:37The market is starting to catch up with Casey Conpsion. I've been drafting him all off season in like the 10th round.
14:44Uh now, sort of the price of a brick is going up, Cody. Casey's headed into the single-digit rounds, even in the most
14:50casual league because he looks unbelievable. And he's going to be on the field all game long for Cleveland.
14:56And I think we're going to see them get the ball in his hands in very very creative ways. We know he's capable of
15:02getting manufactured run attempts. You had a a tweet that went out over on X this past weekend and you said I don't
15:10remember how you phrased it, but you're like people are afraid to say what the actual comparison is for Casey Conpsion.
15:17Who is the comparison? Are you going to drop drop the hottest name you could think of for a se a ceiling outcome? So,
15:24don't hold Cody to this one, but if his career goes perfectly, max value, and let's say Cleveland gets a great quarterback next year in the 2027 draft,
15:33what is the outcome for Casey Conpsion in five, six years if he stays healthy?
15:38>> It It's really funny, Theo, because I had multiple tweets like this in the in the preseason, not preseason, I should
15:43say, the uh the pre-draft season where I was just like, you know, and I replied to this tweet, too. I said, "Nobody has
15:49the stones to really say what the real comp is because you say it, people are like, idiot, wrong, can't be that. I
15:55mean, you're just, you don't know, you don't know ball. You don't know what you're talking about because you just can't put these comps on players." But
16:02really where I how I got to this and I'll say it but with Casey Conception from Texas A&M when you just watch him I
16:08mean if you just sit and watch if you watch enough players like you have like a lot of us have you you kind of see
16:14different mannerisms in how they play and how they catch the football how they move with the football. And I get the
16:21Zay thing. I mean I can see some Zay in there but there's a family tree. Like this is how I comp. And you know this
16:26like there's family trees within some of these conversations. And I think the family tree I just gave Trashman a compliment. I'm going to take the
16:34compliment and I'm going to say here's a negative. Right? This is the first person that, you know, I've watched Casey Conception for three years dating
16:40back to NC State, but I haven't I didn't watch the tape until this pre-draft season, right? So, and he comes in, he
16:47goes, he goes, I just did the write up on Casey Conception, Elijah Moore, Rond Del Robinson. I said, man, Jell Robinson,
16:56go back and turn the tape back on, dude.
16:58So we go back and and I'm watching it and I'm like this is this is not that hard. This is the this is the Zflowers
17:03tree but it's higher like that tree has Stfan Diggs and I'm on and oh my gosh I almost did it. And Antonio Brown Antonio
17:13Brown is that ceiling comp for Casey Conception. Like he's got the talent.
17:17He's got the ability. He's got the playmaking ability. He's got the Tony totap. He's even got the end zone dance.
17:22Like Casey Conception has modeled his game after Antonio Brown actually. and he plays like him and the problem is he just doesn't have a
17:30quarterback yet. And I had another tweet during the pre-draft process that was like if Casey Gion has a has a quarterback next year because he didn't
17:37last year. If you go back and watch that&m tape that it'll make you hate Marcel Reed more than you ever knew you
17:42could because if he had a quarterback last year there he'd be up in the Tyson and the and the Carnell tape
17:48conversation for everybody but he wasn't because when you went in the pre-draft like you said we talked about on that show with Brett. People were like nobody
17:56was considering Casey Conception in the wide receiver one conversation except for us. They just that's just not that's just how it was. But now you look in
18:04this offense where they're like Denzel Boston's gonna be a starting wide receiver and who when they, you know, when they kick the football off it's Casey
18:11Conception making the plays and Casey looks different. He looks different. And so uh so you know I just and Antonio Brown's the cop period. End of
18:21discussion. That's just that's that's what it is for me.
18:24>> I absolutely love it. I absolutely love it. I mean and people it's it's very it's not hyperbolic. I mean, when you
18:30watch Casey Conpsion, there's like certain players who just and it's sort of a cheap thing because and and Cody, you know, I'll give you and Alex a lot
18:37of props because you guys just you grind film like you two guys grind film a lot.
18:42If I need a player uh take and I and I'm like sort of struggling through a guy, I'll I'll text Cody or I'll text Brett
18:48Whitefield, I'll text Alex Dunlap. Um but like when you watch Casey Conpsion, he's the definition of he moves differently. When you see these guys
18:56that get to the NFL and they just kind of move like that against really really athletic NFL defensive backs and linebackers, it's just he's he's got
19:06that it factor. It's hard to describe.
19:08And it's sort of like if if you're a nonfoot watcher, but you show somebody a highlight film of Casey Conpsion, and we
19:15saw it this past week in the preseason, it just feels like a ceiling outcome guy. I moved him into my top 90 in PPR
19:21for this year.
19:23Am I too high on this? Obviously, you bring up the quarterback situation in Cleveland, but when we look at like range of outcomes, when we're in that
19:31part of the draft, when you're talking about the eighth, ninth, 10th round, I want to swing for upside. And if I can
19:39handle it structurally, there could be a period of time where we go like you could see a six-w weekek period of the
19:45year where we go, oh, you know, we look back and we're like, Casey Conpsion from weeks 8 through 14 was the wide receiver
19:5211 and he just has a couple of spike weeks and he becomes like a player that they figure out how to use. We saw it
19:59last year with Harold Fannon Jr. I think that this front office gets it and I think that this is a offense that's going to need to use
20:07Casey Conpsion in creative ways to sort of overcome some of the quarterback shortcomings. I think that the upside outcome is really strong. Therefore, I
20:15want access to him. What are your reservations? Do you have reservations or are you with that for this year?
20:21I mean, my reservations are the quarterback play. Like, it, you know, based on the practice stuff, every everything in the practice side that we
20:28hear, like it should be Shador Sanders, who I I I don't really worry about him feeding these guys. I think he's a
20:34competent enough passer. Um, doesn't have the strongest arm, but I think it's fine. Uh, but then you go out there in
20:40the football field and they're like, nah, Deshun Wat, like it seems like that the the seems like the Browns, you know,
20:45higher ups like above Todd Monkin are pushing for Deshun Watson. So, I have reservations just as far as consistent quarterback play. And then you have
20:52rumors of like, you know, it's not it's actually not Sanders or Watson who's the best quarterback in close practices and you're like, well, this is Cleveland to
21:00a te. So, that's my big question here.
21:02But, as far as like value goes and as far as getting Casey Conception, like you can get him in the 10th round like
21:08consistently, I think in most of these home leagues, 11th round sometimes. So, in the area where he's going right now, like when we're when we're building the
21:14ultimate draft cheat sheet, we kind of have him plugged in here. uh right next to Jean Stribbling, right next to Xavier
21:20Worthy, Jordan Addison, like you know, rank it's it's the ultimate draft cheat sheet is built to take advantage of ADPs. It's not built as like a ranking
21:30sheet. Like so when I talk about these guys, it's going to be a kind of a different kind of conversation than you
21:35are just saying like from a ranking perspective. So I agree with you from a ranking perspective because I want to be
21:40ahead of the ADP right now on Casey Conception across all formats. right now, uh, as far as, you know, we have a
21:47a cheat cheat seat simulator where we plug in all these ADPs from FFPC, Yahoo, ESPN, and everything, right? And he's averaging 135 overall, which is wide
21:56receiver 53. And that's just like that's just it feels like it's 30 40 spots too low.
22:02>> Yeah, that's that's where I'm at. And I think you can like the Shriblings, the Matthew Golden's, a lot of these upside
22:09young wide receivers. I think that the but the argument for me is I want to get access to those guys. So structurally it
22:16probably means when you draft a couple of these guys you've got to be strong at wide receiver to support it and sort of
22:21have guys who can be a bridge. Maybe it's a on a team where I draft like a Chris Godwin. I can also draft a Casey
22:28Conpsion knowing that I'm going to get that early season production from an older wide receiver. Maybe a Stfan Diggs gets me a bridge to Casey Conpsion.
22:36There's ways to play it, but I want access to those guys who are playing their best football over the second half
22:41of the year. That's how you win in fantasy football. And one way that drafters have been winning in fantasy football forever is drafting Travis
22:48Kelce who just will not go away. And I don't want to talk about Travis Kelce when I'm talking tight ends this year,
22:54Cody. I want to talk talk about the guys at the top of the food chain. the I had Alex Dunlap from roster watch on and he
22:59wants to talk to me about Brock Bowers and Tyler Warren and you want to talk to me about old man Travis Kelce but he's
23:04sort of sitting there tight end 11 just sitting there at tight end 11 he's led the Kansas City Chiefs in targets every
23:14single year and last year we thought it was going to be Rashi Rice leading them in targets of course the suspension then
23:19the injury end of the year it's Travis Kelce every single year for like forever it's been Travis Kelce or Tyreek Hill
23:26and Ever since Tyreek Hill left, it's been Travis Kelce and he's sitting there at tight end 11. He's old. There's tons
23:32of tight ends that are exciting to talk about that go ahead of him. Then you've got all these guys sort of behind him. A
23:37lot of guests want to talk about guys like Terrence Ferguson, Daltton Concaid, Isaiah Likely, but you want to talk about Travis Kelce. Uh, and you got some
23:46some information to back it up. So, go for it, Cody. Talk about old man Kelsey.
23:51>> First, I just want to ask you, who's going to lead the Kansas City Chiefs in targets this year?
23:55It it's it's I think if he stays healthy, it's going to be Rashi Rice.
23:59I'll say I'll say that the streak ends.
24:01But I'm I'm fading Rashi Rice. I do think that like when you talk about Kansas City, that's sort of the the
24:07narrative of this conversation is everybody wants to talk about Kenneth Walker about what a good season he's going to have and then everybody wants
24:13to talk about how they're sort of fading Rashi Rice because the offense is changing.

26:11Uh, and then, you know, obviously people want to talk about some of the other wide receivers and whatnot, but I get
26:17it. Uh, you, you know, structurally Kelsey just sort of sits there in drafts and you never want to click that button,
26:23but he could provide a ton of utility.
26:26Uh, you you I believe you were at Kansas City training camp, Cody, right? What did you see with >> Yeah. So, yeah. So, this is this is kind
26:32of my my view of this thing. So usually I mean a lot of times during training camp you'll see stuff come out on
26:38Twitter like we have and it's like all right what's true and what's not right and so we saw the clips come out about
26:43Rashi Rice running routes and looking stiff as a board right about a week and a half ago and then we also saw some
26:50clips of Travis Kelce went around like that dude looks like he might have put 20 pounds on just kind of hanging out
26:55this year and I go up there one thing was true one thing was not the one thing that was true was that Rashi Rice looked
27:01stiff as a board and that he was not participating ating in 11on11 team drills. He'd go out, Andrew Armstrong would come in from Arkansas, the big
27:08beefed up secondyear guy, uh, pretty fast wide receiver. Got some opportunities this last weekend, but Rashi Rice doesn't look close to being,
27:18you know, the Rashi Rice that we know and that we got in that small spurt a couple of years ago. Travis Kelce looks
27:25different. And I and I say different from the context of saying like I believe based on being at Kansas City's training camp this year that Kelsey's
27:34built for this season to start hot which we haven't really seen the last couple of years. I mean last year he didn't
27:41have you know a 75 yard game until uh week week six. Two years ago it was week four. He didn't have a 100red yard game
27:48until like week nine. Like the last you know four years three four years have been rather slow for Kelsey out the
27:54gate. I love that you brought the Casey Conception conversation and contexting it to, you know, having a bridge type of situation where you have Godwin, you can
28:02also take Conception because that's exactly what I'm doing at tight end. If we don't get the Bowers or the Tyler Warren, what I love is taking on a Craft
28:12and a Kelsey or a Fannon and a Kelsey or maybe if I get in the situation I have to, I'll take Kelsey and then I'll kick
28:18the can down. Do I like Isaiah Likely or Mark Andrews? That's my ideal one-two punch if I don't get the Bowers or
28:26Warren kind of conversation. So, I think that this is going to be an anomaly of a season for Travis Kelce where everyone
28:31kind of just thinks, yeah, he's kind of toasted and he's going to start super hot and it's going to give the rest of
28:37this roster enough time. The Cyrus Allence, the world, it's going to allow Rashi Rice to get healthy. They're going to be able to figure out this running
28:42game and I think Emma Johnson's going to have a lot to say about it. It's going to look vastly different, I think, from
28:47the first five weeks of the Chiefs to, you know, week eight to week 14. Like, I think the offense is just going to run
28:54completely separate. You're going to have to understand it in fantasy football and take advantage of it because Rashi will have games and he
28:59will have a stretch. I just don't think it's going to happen for a couple of months. So, I think that the Kelsey
29:03thing you're getting again 10th round Travis Kelce also like 10th round Patrick Mahomes if you really like that like it's kind of it doesn't feel right
29:13I think is the biggest problem here and the Kelsey thing to me is as close to an autoclick as I want to
29:21you know as I'm at right now and you know the middle of August will it be that way in two weeks I don't know it
29:26just kind of depends but it's as close to an auto pick as I have right now >> I had Scott Connor on for a Dynasty
29:31episode right here on RotoWire. And Scott's talked about sort of trading for Travis Kelce in Dynasty as well, just because it's a it's a mercenary that
29:42you're going to get for super cheap. The only kind of teams that are rostering Travis Kelce right now are true contenders. And if you're not a true
29:49contender, they're going to take sort of whatever they can get because they think it's going to complete zero. And you might end up getting 15 starts out of
29:57him at your tight end position or in tight end premium in the flex spot. So, it's boring. No one's ever going to
30:02stand up and say, "Oh, man. You sniped me in your live draft." No one's going to say, "Oh, man. What a pick." But he
30:08could end up getting you tight end seven, tight end eight overall just based on a PPR scheme. Um, I'm very bullish on Kenneth Walker. You did bring
30:16up EMTT Johnson, though. And clear as day, that's another one that I think that the fantasy market was getting wrong. I had one draft where um, and
30:24this is a really sharp drafter. guys made a ton of money. But I drafted uh Kenneth Walker and then like round 15 I
30:31drafted EMTT Johnson and then this drafter drafted like Amari de Marcato like two rounds later and he sends me a little little little trash talk and he's
30:38like, "Oh, Theo, you got the handcuff wrong." And I'm like, did I I don't think I got the handcuff wrong. I think
30:42Emma Johnson's good. Um and Emma Johnson was a heck of a player last year in the Big 10. He can catch passes and Andy
30:49Reid sort of goes out of his way to hype him up. Bashard Smith was a player that I I liked when the Chiefs picked him up,
30:56but he's more of a converted wide receiver, passcatcher, specialist type.
31:00D Marcato was sort of a passcatching back in Arizona. Some some limited ability as a a runner, not not a bad NFL
31:07player, but Emma Johnson to me, I thought he'd go on day two, ends up falling to day three, and I think the
31:13Chiefs have a really good handcuff situation. And maybe year two, Emtt Johnson, I think, is a handcuff plus um mixing in a little bit more. But I think
31:21this year it's just a contingent upside.
31:23If Walker goes down, Johnson goes in your lineup.
31:26>> Yeah, I love the love the Johnson plug here because, you know, when I saw him up there, it was clear. I mean, it was
31:32Bashard Smith like he was the only other running back working with the first team and then you kind of got down to that
31:38that next unit with Justin Fields and then with Garrett Nusmire and it was it was a little D. Marcato, a lot of Emma
31:44Johnson, a lot of Jaden Au and D.
31:47Marcato's fine like you said, he's fine, but he's not the guy. I mean, this is a situation that um I always think back
31:53to, you know, because I cover Orange Bloods as well. I cover Texas. Colin Simmons, who if you don't know, now you
31:58know, the sickest edge rusher in college football right now, right? When he was a true freshman, uh he had this guy named
32:03Trey Moore ahead of him who's currently playing outside linebacker for the Dolphins, right? And it was like, well, he's gonna it's going to take a couple
32:09games and I'm not sure I'm not sure if Colin Simmons gonna be able to take the job. And it was like, no, man. By the
32:14end of training camp, Colin Simmons had that job. Like, that's just it's just a different level of talent. And that's kind of the D Marcato thing here is like
32:21De Marcado is a good he's a fine number three number four on in most rosters, but EMTT Johnson's a different level of
32:27a back here. You do need to be taking him because not only is he going to jump past De Marcado, he's going to jump past
32:32Bashard Smith just like minutes later.
32:34And I also think that the Jay Kn thing, if you don't know him, uh California a couple years ago, 1300 yards season,
32:40couple down years at Oklahoma after got getting a big NIL deal and dealing with some injuries. Like he's going to carve
32:48out a role in special teams and it's really going to come down to a versus D Marcato for that last roster spot at
32:53running back. And I I don't really have those questions with EMTT Johnson. You know, it does. You don't really got to
32:58squint too hard, Theo, to, you know, look at his seven missed tackles for first forced in week one of the preseason and be like, "That dude kind
33:07of looks like Isaiah Pacheco, but with more burst and a little more speed."
33:11Like, it I know he's wearing number 10.
33:13It's kind of a lame take, but there's clearly a reason they liked him. And, you know, he's going to be a good
33:18one-two punch there with with Ken Walker and tell Ken Walk I'm not going to finish that sentence.
33:23>> And don't say it. Don't say it. Don't put that evil out there in the universe.
33:26And I'll say >> way more way more the the Kenneth Walker backers are not going to want to hear the injury history, but uh Emma Johnson
33:34and I'm a Kenneth Walker backer this year. So I don't want to hear anything about that, but I'll say Emma Johnson
33:38way fluid as a receiver too. Cody, I know that a lot of that was manufactured last year at Nebraska. He was sort of
33:45the show for that offense, but looks good to me catching the ball. Do you think he's more of a he's sort of a
33:50natural pass catcher or somebody who's just going to be an opportunistic one?
33:55>> Oh, yeah. I mean, he's a he's a natural pass catcher. I mean, they forcefed him, obviously, right in Nebraska last year,
34:00got over 2,000 yards from scrimmage, but, you know, I don't think he's going to be some kind of, you know, I think of
34:05guys, you know, like like uh like Jaden Blue right in Dallas where it's like he's trying to run deficient and in the
34:12pass catching game, like that's where he makes his bread and butter. Like he might average two yards per carry running the football between the tackles
34:18in Dallas, but in the receiving game, it's like that dude might average a first down per catch. It's that's different. I don't think Emma Johnson's
34:25quite to that level, but I think he also brings, you know, three times the much three times as much inside the tackles
34:30where he, again, like I said, he led all running backs and missed tackles forced in week one of the preseason. So, I
34:36think he's got the total package here and it's not going to be forced into his hand to have to do it, right? He's going
34:41to get to play behind Ken Walker and learn and also be a part of an offense like Kansas City with Andy Reid.
34:48>> Is Jordan Mason setting up for a career season this year in Minnesota? felt like there was maybe a little more hype on
34:54him last year, but right now running back 37 off the board. Then you got Aaron Jones running back 42. So two
35:02running backs for Minnesota are both going outside of running back Threeland.
35:07You're talking about Jordan Mason around like round 10. I've been drafting a good amount of him. 758 rushing yards last year. 2024 he had 789 in only 12 games.
35:17And we know how good he was to start out the season in San Francisco. sort of your take on this Minnesota backfield
35:24and can it be one that provides value to us as fantasy managers?
35:29>> I have uh worries here because I I really do like Jordan Mason and being up at Vikings training camp like all signs
35:37pointed to Jordan Mason like being the best he's ever he looks leaner, he looks bigger, which is an interesting thought there. He looks leaner, looks bigger, he
35:46looks faster and looks smoother out of the backfield as a pass catcher.
35:49Speaking of pass catchers, like which is something he's kind of struggled with the fluidity of for these bigger backs.
35:55And I think the easy one to point to is Derrick Henry. Like it always hasn't been the most fluid thing. He's gotten
36:00better as his careers went along. That's kind of the Jordan Mason thing here.
36:03He's always kind of looks stiff in that first two steps after the ball kind of gets to his hands. He looks smoother
36:08this year watching him. The bigger thing though, I think to me is Aaron, it's still Aaron Jones's backfield, right?
36:13It's a 50-50 split, don't get me wrong, but it's still Aaron Jones's backfield.
36:17So, and Aaron Jones still has the pop.
36:19He still has the flash. He still gets downfield with burst. And he's still going to be a passcatching thorn in the
36:25side uh for this running back room as long as he's healthy. And you know, I bring you bring up injuries with Ken
36:30Walker. It's like Aaron Jones has been equally as banged up the last two years.
36:34Hip, shoulder, knee, calf. Like it's every week it's something it feels like with Aaron Jones. That's that's the caveat, right? this offensive line. You
36:42know, we have ranked, I think, number seven overall in the roster watch offensive line rankings that you can get over there. And I feel good about it. I
36:49feel good about Jordan Mason, but I feel good longer term. So, it's not something where I want to be overly bullish
36:55drafting him. It's more of I think there's an opportunity here, Theo, where he might not start the season the hottest and Aaron Jones is is taking on
37:02a 65% share. Well, maybe cut bait of him. And it sounds maniacal, but maybe cut bait of a Jordan Mason because like,
37:08man, it's just it's I can't stick I can't take these seven point games on my bench. Let me go get, you know, oh look,
37:14an injury happens in Tennessee. Nick Singleton's a starter or let me go get him and let me cut Jordan Mason. That
37:19type of a situation, right? Where I think the back end of the season is going to pay off mightily for Jordan
37:25Mason. That's my kind of perview of that situation. So, I'm kind of I wouldn't say I'm hands off of the backfield. I'm
37:31just kind of treading lightly.
37:33It's an interesting one and we'll keep a candle burning for De Man Claybornne as well. I think he's interesting if you
37:39want to play it like the very cheap way.
37:42I think there's something to be said of fading Aaron Jones. I understand the the the like and going with a Mason Clayborn
37:48combo where I have a pathway to towards having the entire backfield if the 32-year-old Jones just sort of breaks down and when we get to the second month
37:57of the season even uh potentially Cody.
37:59The only other running back who's going to get that sort of usage that's 32 years old in the NFL is is Derrick
38:05Henry. He's a little bit different. Uh let's talk about another running back who I know you are. I'm assuming you're high on this one, but I want to pick
38:13your brain on Blake Cororm running back 32. So, you're talking about a premium price tag. I we're seeing in the FFPC
38:22having to use a seventh round pick, an eighth round pick on him. home leagues leagues a little bit cheaper, but Blake
38:28Corm was an unbelievable player in college and we started to see it last year where he had a number of of really
38:34really effective weeks and we saw his usage ramp up as the second half of the season uh goes for I believe it was 8
38:42800 rushing yards about last year. Um and we know that they've talked about potential for a little bit more of a
38:50split backfield. Now, is that going to be a Shawn McVey split or is that going to be a regular NFL split? I think
38:55that's the big operative word. Kairen Williams has got us in got anybody fading him in trouble over the last three years because he's been automatic
39:02and he's been a massive producer of touchdowns. Where are you at on Blake Cororm? And how could Los Angeles's defensive effectiveness this year
39:11because they could have an absolute unit out there uh sort of influence what a ceiling outcome season could look like for Cororum? Yeah, I'm a little I'm a
39:18little worried uh on the on the left tackle situation for the Rams. They were a team that was, you know, they were
39:24sitting I think they were fringe top 12 for us. Now they're down to to offensive line 16. The Eric Jackson stuff. There's
39:29a little question mark there. Um War Mlennon's lower end for us, the right tackle position, but I like Blake Cornwal. I mean, this it's hard not to
39:36like this team. Let's just get let's get that across first before Aaron Donald does make his return here in 2026.
39:44Unofficially official right here. Uh my thing goes back to May 2nd, right? May 2nd was when the athletics Nate Atkins, who's pretty plugged in out out there in
39:52Los Angeles and says that the fans should expect a 5050 split between Kairen Williams and Blake Cororm and my head gets stuck. You know, last year,
40:04you know, we're plugging in props every single week to the roster watch prop tool and it's like Blake Kor, they're like giving us like, oh, 22 and a half
40:12rushing yards. I'm like, this dude's going to hit this in the first quarter.
40:14like and it was like week after week at 26 and a half, 22 and a2, 30 and a half.
40:18I'm like, "Okay, you're just gonna keep feeding me. I'm gonna keep taking it. I mean, I'm gonna be full here soon." But,
40:23and I think that's what's gonna happen here is that he got the burst back, Theo. Like, you remember back in 2022
40:28what he looked like. It like there was no question what Blake Corum was going to potentially be before that ACL injury, right? Um then everything
40:37changes and Edwards kind of takes over and they go on they do what they do in Michigan and and Corm you're like is he
40:43ever gonna it's could be gone could be gone and he kind of sits there and and learns behind Kum for a year or two and
40:50last year after week 10 I really thought that that was the best Blake Kor we've seen in what had been now three and a
40:57half years at that point and if we get that again entering 2026 which all signs from the Ram side point to that being
41:04that uh Um, I have to believe that Blake Corm is going to be a value here going off, you know, running back 33 34 in the
41:10RJ Harvey Chuba Hubard neighborhood. Uh, I really I really, um, one of my favorite people to follow during the the the the uh the training camp tours is
41:21Charles Robinson who was with Yahoo for a while. He did a column on the Rams. He was in Los Angeles. It's a great
41:27writeup. But his wild card of the camp, his wild card of the team was Blake Corm. He's just like, man, he looks like
41:34he's got the speed. He looks like he's got the burst back and everyone talks positive about him, but you have the
41:40Kyron Williams thing, but you have this offensive line that's a little bit of a question, but should be improved, but you have this high volume passing
41:48offense where you got Devonte Adams and Puka and all these tight ends and and so there's just like a wild card there of
41:53thought where what will Blake Horm actually bring to the table?
41:5827 rushing touchdowns in 2023 at Michigan. They win the national title with him. It feels like destiny that he's going to have one huge touchdown
42:09season. I think that there's a scenario where you know he ends up with 12 rushing touchdowns this year, 1,000 rushing yards. And you know, you talk
42:18about if Kairen goes down, if Kairen goes down, there's complete trust in this coaching staff with Cororum. And we know that the front office they used the
42:27day two pick on him with Kairen Williams on the roster. So it feels like a destiny situation for Blake Cororm. 18
42:34touchdown season in Michigan rushing touchdown season followed up by a 27 R.
42:39It sounds like fake numbers that we're pulling out. Uh but this is an actual thing that happened. You win the national title with 27 touchdowns. I
42:47mean and surrounded by Sunday players on that team too, Cody. I mean both sides of the ball. That was all Sunday
42:54players. Um, so certainly an offensive focal point for the Michigan Wolverines.
42:58Legendary player there. I'm going to talk a little bit about Z Flowers because I think this is interesting where Z Flowers I think there's a lot of
43:07uh people sort of talking about what a big season could look like for him. But then there's a whole another segment of
43:14people sort of saying that we're drafting him sort of at his ceiling case where he's wide receiver 15, but this is
43:22about where he'll be. So therefore, it's not really an edge pick. It's more of a structural pick. When I take Z Flowers,
43:29I look at Z Flowers and I see a guy whose target share has increased every year as a pro, goes 22% in 2023, 25
43:38plus% in 2024, up to 29% last year. And then we look at the overall target volume sort of held down by the way
43:48Baltimore ran things. and you're talking about 115 targets, 117 targets, 110 targets. Now you've got Declan Doyle as the offensive coordinator.
43:58It feels like the days of Baltimore being dead last in pass attempts are probably over. Even in a runheavy scheme with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry,
44:0925th most pass attempts, is that like a huge bar to cross? If we get that, this could end up being the season for Z
44:16Flowers. It feels like he's going to be a usage monster. 25 years old. It feels like we could end up with 150 target
44:23season. I went on another show I said I think he breaks the Baltimore Ravens single season catch record this year.
44:30It's like 108 for Mark Andrews. I think uh Mark Mark Andrews and one other player was close to there, but I think
44:36it's going to be Z Flowers breaks the record this year. I think it's all lining up for him. I know Alex also
44:42likes Zay this year. Are you in on Z Flowers at cost?
44:46It's tough for me, Theo, because I love Zay Flowers. Um, I've always loved the prospect coming out of Boston College, went down to the Shrine Bowl and just
44:55destroyed it. And I'm a big Z Flowers guy. Like, he's again in that family tree we talked about earlier with KCC
45:02and and Stfan Diggs. Like, he's a new age alpha type. He's a new age alpha light. And I I am I'm I'm out on Z. I'm
45:11not there. I I can't I can't be there with Zay because you hit on the big things there, but I think the one place
45:18that I think you could be wrong is the targets. I just I I don't I don't see it coming to fruition with Z Flowers from a
45:27targets perspective, right? 108 116 118 the last three years in a row. It's going up. But then you bring in Declan
45:34Doyle who last year in Chicago, right?
45:37We saw DJ Moore who finished second on the Bears last year with 85 targets.
45:40Played in 17 games. Rome had a pretty good thing going there. He had 90 targets through 12 games. Could he have
45:46been 125 130 target guy if he would have stayed healthy? Potentially. But Rome's a different wide receiver than what Z Flowers is. And my big thing now, I
45:55wasn't even worried really to be honest with you about Jacobe Lane and Elijah Serat. Um, and not to mention the Ravens
46:03for some reason love for Rashad Baitman to just say, "Well, he's going to he's going to get some. He's going to get
46:07some in this offense." And I'm like, I don't care. Don't care. Don't need to see him. Don't need to see Dvontes
46:12Walker. No offense. Um, but I didn't have worry about Jacobe Lane until like this week. And so now it's made me feel
46:18worse because we know what this offense is. It they're not going to come in and reinvent the wheel. They got Lamar
46:24Jackson. They got Derrick Henry. And people continually forget about Mark Andrews. And Mark Andrews is not 36, right? He's not 35. He's not 34.
46:36Mark Andrews, I think, turns 31 like in a couple weeks. Like, he's a young tight end that we've actually seen take on,
46:44like you said, the 153 targets from Lamar Jackson. We've also heard Lamar Jackson continually say how important Mark Andrews is to the success of this
46:51offense, how much he wants to target him. And there was this thing called Isaiah Likely in the way. And Isaiah Likely's gone. And and I and I have a
46:59very tough time, you know, pushing my chips in just on Z and saying that everything's just going to go to Zay and
47:05we're going to see 140. We're going to see 150. I want to listen in in here. I want to see it and I think he can do it,
47:12but I have severe questions paying this price, you know, into the third round on Z Flowers because I know it's going to
47:18be run centric. They're going to get the football out. But now I have this question with Jacobe Lane. Now I have
47:24this question with these other wide receivers in this offense and I I guess if if I didn't have Mark Andrews here
47:30and it was like well I guess you're starting tight ends Charlie Kohler or Matthew Hibner it'd be different but the Andrews thing now coupled with the
47:36Jacobe Lane thing and just I don't think they're going to reinvent the wheel here has me off Z Flowers right now in the
47:42third round. Yeah, I think it's an interesting take and and I will say that I drafted a Mecha Ebuka ahead of Z
47:48Flowers a bunch of drafts and I'm sort of on that one. The toe injury has sort of opened up another >> not doubt on Ebuka, but it's not like I
47:58need him every single draft now. I'm sort of mixing up a little bit.
48:02>> Um, I'll say Devonte Smith goes right next to Z Flowers. And you've also got a couple of other wide receivers. Uh,
48:08Jaylen Wadd, Garrett Wilson, T. Higgins here. I'll give you a head-to-head one.

49:11ZFlowers or Lad Makoni. They're very close to one another right now. And I'm not saying you have to be a Lad guy, but
49:19if you're going to pick one or the other. I know a lot of people are sort of having that conversation in their
49:23head. Where are you at on that one?
49:25>> I I struggle with Lad. I love Lad, too.
49:27Like I I went to Lad's proday at Georgia and I mean, he's one of the sickest route runners, most underrated route
49:32runners in the league right now. But, you know, I think Justin Herbert's going to be a monster.
49:37>> He might be a problem this year uh in in Los Angeles if this Mike McDaniel Mike McDaniel thing hits this year. But they
49:44have so much tight end play. The running backs are going to be explosive. Lad's going to be great. Quinton Johnson's going to be great. They brought in
49:50Brennan Thompson for a reason. We're going to see if it's going to be Jaylen Gayton, the win sprinter, or if it's
49:55going to be like a distinct role in this offense where Mech McDaniel gets to have some fun. But Trey Harris is there. Like
50:02lad's a tough one for me to click as well. So like if I was pushed to Z Flowers or Lad, I might just bend the
50:08knee and like maybe reach on Garrett Wilson to be honest with you.
50:12>> Garrett Wilson is is I think in a really really good spot right now. He's and he's sort of the again it's like the the
50:18boring one. It's the post type sleeper, but he's been a target monster over the years. And it's like, you bring up a
50:24really good point where Zaflflower is like, I'm hopeful that we get some huge target spike and I'm looking at 140 would be a huge win. 140 would be uh
50:34would be a party. But with Garrett Wilson, if Garrett Wilson plays every year, every game this year, >> 140 is the floor and 175 is probably the
50:44ceiling. I mean, like rarified error in terms of target uh in terms of target totals for Garrett Wilson multiple years in his career. So really an interesting
50:53one and that's one we got to get right and we're going to continue talking about that right here at Rotoire up
50:58until the very end because getting that it's one it's something to be said where it's okay in June that we like every
51:06wide receiver in this range but we get into the months of August we've got to make some strong calls and we've got to
51:11have some head-to-head ADP decisions.
51:13They're not all going to be league winners uh Cody in round three and round four this wide receiver room. So, a lot
51:18of people on the I got to start my draft with two running backs and then I've got to draft two wide receivers to play
51:23catch-up. Let's draft the correct wide receivers in that range. We're going to continue talking about it. One wide receiver who uh has had a lot of buzz at
51:31camp and had elite draft capital in 2025, Jaden Higgins, Houston Texans.
51:38Most likely the number two target on the Texans this year will be Jaden Higgins in my opinion. Where are you at on this
51:44one? What's a ceiling outcome look like for him? Is he a player that's a bench piece for us or is he a player that
51:52potentially is in our starting lineups at some point early on in the season?
51:57Well, I think I think he starts out as a bench piece for us. Um, but I think that the play here is not long-term, but
52:04longer term, right? It's not like, oh, week one he's gonna come out and and be like a George Pickins uh for Nico
52:10Collins. He's not going to be this pure onetoone alpha outside off the rip because Tankell Tankell's back, right?
52:16Tank Dell's going to have a piece of this offense. CJ Strad loves Tank Dell and I love Tank Dell. Everyone loves
52:22Tank Dell, but how dynamic is that role?
52:24And outside of Tank Dell, like I have a I have quite a few questions as far as what this wide receiver room can become
52:32because the one thing I'll tell you is as much as we love Jaylen Null coming out of coming out of college at Iowa
52:37State, it took him it was tough last year for him to pick up this playbook uh from people inside Houston talking about
52:43him like it just wasn't easy. And that's a role that they really needed him to play in, right? They needed him to play
52:48that Christian Kirk role to a te and he just couldn't quite get there. and missing Tank Dell last year. We've seen
52:54some dynam dynamic plays from Lewis Bond who came from Boston College. Like could he carve out a role in there? I think
53:00Jaden Higgins is just purely going to be the second most targeted player in this offense again. And that's next to last
53:05year. I believe it was Daltton Schultz.
53:08Yeah, Daltton Schultz had 106 targets in this offense. I think a lot of those targets can go towards Jaden Higgins. I
53:13think a lot of those targets, you know, that went to Xavier Hudson and Christian Kirk last year can go to Jaden Higgins
53:18in this offense and he can be a a very good compliment to Nico Nico Collins and kind of be in a twin towers type of a
53:24situation with these two 6'4 u you know you know highointed red zone dominators that can just you know bring you back to
53:32the Brandon Marshall days of these big outside wide receivers just first down first down first down. So, that's kind of my thoughts on Higgins. And I think
53:40it's more of a a second half of the year, middle middle to second half of the year type of a play with Higgins as
53:46your wide receiver five on your roster.
53:49>> Yeah, and I think you nailed that one where it's when we're looking at trying to find year two breakouts. A lot of the
53:56year two breakouts we have to pay for it. Jaden Higgins, wide receiver, 53 off the board. You're seeing him occasionally go in like the 13th round.
54:05Matthew Golden and and this it's warranted. Matthew Golden uh he has risen up in ADP significantly. So you're paying for Tedro McMillan, you're paying
54:15for Amecha Ibuka. You're paying for Luther Burden. But if you look at Jaden Higgins, like the draft capital spent on him, top 40 pick in the NFL draft. The
54:24hit rates are really strong with those.
54:26And I think you make a great point on the Schultz role sort of sort of just going his way. Uh let's go uh real quick
54:33here through a couple other guys. I'm going to mention Bo Knicks, quarterback 14. He's was the quarterback eight and the quarterback 11 the first two years
54:42in his career. The team goes and trades for Jaylen Wadd. The we have Pat Bryan is like the talk of of preseason right
54:49now. They drafted him in round three last year. Uh enters year two. Troy Franklin had 65 catches for 709 yards and six touchdowns. Now he's going to be
55:00sort of a a chess piece operational with him. And then you've got Courtland Sutton who's been very consistently good. So the four-wide situation at wide
55:09receiver is the best it's been for Bon Knicks by a country mile uh for him in Denver this year. He's entering year
55:15three best offensive line in football and we're drafting him at quarterback 14.
55:20>> Yeah, I think this this offense is going to be fun. Like it's another team that kind of gets overshadowed, right? You
55:25get the Los Angeles hype uh with the Chargers and Rams. You got Kansas City doing Kansas City things and then the
55:30Rams had the or the Raiders had the number one pick last year in the draft.
55:33And from a fantasy perspective, it's like, oo, Bowers, oo, Genty, and then you just got these Denver Broncos who are just a really damn good football
55:41team with a top three offensive line in the sport, top three defense in the sport, a quarterback that doesn't get the respect. I I think he's fun. I think
55:48Bo Knicks is a fun play here. Uh he's kind of in the in the the target quarterback area that I love. I love
55:54Stafford, Nicks, Kyler, Tyler Shook.
55:57Like that's the bucket. You can even bring in Patrick Mahomes who's a couple picks ahead of him. I love that bucket
56:01of quarterback play this year. But I do got to throw a running back in here because we talked about some some
56:07rookies earlier at the running back position. I think the biggest winner at the running back position from week one of the preseason with was without a
56:14doubt Jonah Coleman, right? I watch Jonah Coleman I watch every snap for Jonah Coleman, Singleton, EMTT Johnson, Katron Allen, you Jaden Blue, the second
56:23year back that's in in in Dallas right now. And Jonah Coleman didn't he had four carries for 24 yards. He had one
56:28reception that was called back, but he had a a run in that game where Evan Ingram had a block inside, right? He
56:35spins off and he kind of sticks it. He just he just puts it on Clark Phillips, the DB from the Falcons, and spins right
56:42off of him. Picks up 13 yards. And I just yelled at the screen. I'm sitting here and I'm just I'm just yelling at
56:47it. I'm like, "That's an NFL player, right? That's an NFL run, right?" And then he follows it up with another one.
56:52I think R.J. Harvey started the first series, played one drive, but at halftime, this was a key thing for me, at halftime of that game, the offensive
56:59line came out, the starting offensive line for the Broncos came out and Jonah Coleman followed suit. He was out at halftime as well. I think that's big.
57:07He's going about two rounds to me too late right now uh in drafts. His ADP is 144 and half PPR. This is a guy you can
57:14you need him on your roster sooner than later. I don't got to bring up the JK Dobbins injury history. I got to bring
57:19up the the RJ Harvey inaptitude. If you know Jonah Coleman, you know that two years ago this guy was in the
57:25conversation to be the RB1 in that class last year and things change, right? And there's Jeremiah Loves in this world.
57:31And Jonah Coleman is getting overlooked because of those reasons, but he's a stud. He's a 5'8, 225 pound bulldozer that in the range of outcomes, it was
57:40like, well, this guy could be James Robinson. He could be CJ Anderson, or he could be Doug Martin. And I think he's
57:46gonna be a little bit more Doug Martin than than the other two.
57:49>> Absolute fire from Cody Carpenter right there on Jonah Coleman. Easy click on Coleman. And Cody, I'll say the trend is
57:56your friend in fantasy football. And a lot of times we ignore these trends at our own peril. 2023 Bucky Irving was,
58:03excuse me, 2024 Bucky Irving round four pick ends up being a second half of the year fantasy football smash. last year.
58:11Cam Scataboo, round four pick, ends up just crushing it and then unfortunately goes down with an injury. Round four pick Jonah Coleman. He is the best bet
58:22among all these guys to have that sort of round four run out. All it's going to take is a one injury and it's he's
58:29automatically getting a bunch of touches. There's also a scenario where they just go with Jonah Coleman. They tried to get David Montgomery. They
58:36messed around with Kenneth Walker and ultimately didn't sign anybody. They drafted Jonah Coleman in round four.
58:42There's been a lot of round four is the new round three. When we look at historical hit rates for running backs,
58:47I think Jonah Coleman, he's got the size, opportunistic pass catching ability. Um, he's an absolute bull. You talk about Doug Martin, like he's got
58:56that that physical size for him to take 25 touches in an NFL game and stay upright. So, awesome stuff. Cody, let me
59:03know once again what you got going on.
59:06>> Yeah, I appreciate you, Theo, as always.
59:07I love chopping it up with you. I got to get you over on the Rosterwatch show as well. Um, everything's over at

59:42>> Hey, we don't jack around, homeboy. Top 500, right? Who Who do you think one-on-one is, right? Jeremiah Smith.
59:49>> It has to be. I had this conversation with with Alex Dunlop. It has to be Jeremiah Smith. Sometimes it's like this
59:54is an easy, simple game. Uh looking forward to talking about all these prospects. I mean, Cody, we always chop it up when it gets to be NFL draft
60:01season. And I'm sure we're going to be talking about some of these 2027 prospects, but it begins and ends with Jeremiah Smith, the chosen one at the
