Mahomes is QB13 but faded; ACL limits rushing, O-line concerns, transition year.
JJ Zachariason ranks Mahomes as QB13 (consensus QB18). Mahomes finished QB4 in PPG last year, but 25% of his fantasy points came via rushing before tearing his ACL—that won't happen again. Zachariason notes 'I don't want to be flat out fading the maybe greatest talent quarterback that we have other than Josh Allen' but is doing so anyway. From 2023 until ACL tear, Chiefs were 16th in PPG. Mahomes won't run as much early in recovery and Zachariason still has 'worries about the tackle spot' and receivers. He doesn't draft 'any rushy rice' and doesn't feel obligated to draft Mahomes up the board. Chiefs are in a 'transition year' figuring out the offense's future. Offensive line concerns include possible seventh-round or undrafted starter at one tackle spot, and left tackle has 'some oddities' with back soreness from weight gain.
