Penix's durability issues create a near-term path to playing time for Dalton.

The quickest path to Dalton playing could come via Michael Penix Jr.'s durability concerns. Penix suffered a rib injury late in Week 5 against the Ravens and was briefly in the medical tent in Week 6 against the Bears, indicating lingering durability issues. If Dalton surpasses Tua and Penix is injured, Dalton will have access to a healthy complement of weapons including Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts.
