Video: Will The Rams Keep Feeding Kyren?
My prediction is that the second that Terrance Ferguson's ankle is good to go, it will revert to its norm. That is my read of the situation is that instead of pelting Davante Adams, and also the Rams have found themselves cuz they're two and three instead of five and oh like everyone thought they were going to be. They've struggled and scraped around in these games, so McVay is searching for some answers. Kyren has also just played really well. Something that we don't talk about enough in fantasy, but coaches are simple creatures in a way. If they're getting good results with something, they're probably going to keep going to it. And Kyren has just been awesome at this.

Rams' RB target surge is temporary; reverts when Ferguson returns from ankle injury.

The Rams have shifted dramatically to the most combined targets to running backs in the NFL this season, reversing from finishing 31st or 32nd in RB target share every year since Todd Gurley left. Davis Mattek attributes this to Williams playing really well and McVay getting good results with the increased usage; coaches tend to continue what works, and Williams has been awesome at capitalizing on the opportunity. However, Mattek predicts that once Terrance Ferguson's ankle injury heals, the Rams' elevated running back target share will revert to historical norms (31st-32nd in the league). The current spike in targets to Williams is viewed as a temporary circumstance driven by Ferguson's absence and the Rams' 2-3 record prompting McVay to search for answers, rather than a sustainable trend.
