Cornell Tate ended up with seven targets, six catches, 70 yards, and a touchdown... I don't think you can trust him week in and week out. Like you can definitely start him and like he he's capable of doing this. It's a 50/50 chance though whether he's going to have a stat line like today or he's going to put up two for 20.
STACKED’s take
Tate's 7-6-70-TD real but inconsistent; 50/50 floor due to Panthers offense.
Tate recorded 7 targets, 6 catches, 70 yards, and a touchdown in Week 6—his first NFL touchdown. However, Tyler Kennebley cautioned against overreacting: the breakout is real but inconsistent. He noted Tate had a similar 160-yard game against the Ravens that was 'garbage time,' and warned 'I don't think you can trust him week in and week out... It's a 50/50 chance though whether he's going to have a stat line like today or he's going to put up two for 20.' The floor is unreliable due to environmental factors (poor Panthers offense, Cam Newton's play), not player talent. Kennebley suggested starting him in upcoming weeks with favorable matchups but acknowledged the volatility.
