You look at the top 30 fastest wide receivers in NFL combine history, there's only one 1,000-yard receiver on the that list... Carnell Tate ran a 4.53. He's too slow. We saw that narrative over and over again. You know who runs in the 4.5s and is viewed as too slow? All of the best wide receivers in football. Puka Nacua, Jackson Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb... that is just not a compelling argument to me. It's The NFL is consistently overrating athleticism with wide receivers and underrating route-running technicians.
