Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeValue21:45

Source argues Thomas is being drafted ahead of Jordan Tyson despite Tyson having stronger upside; included in list of receivers ranked above Tyson that source questions.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveBreakout7:58

The source is bullish on Carnell Tate as a wide receiver with elite talent that is being undervalued at WR31 (overall 71st). The source compares Tate's upside to Malik Nabers' rookie season and Teddero McMillan's rookie year (70 catches, 1,014 yards, 7 TDs), arguing Tate can mirror or surpass those numbers. The source cites Tate's college production: 10th in yards per route run, fourth in receiving grade among WRs with 50+ targets, zero drops in final season despite 14.6 ADOT, and 68.8% contested catch rate. The source dismisses concerns about Tate being too slow (citing similar narratives around McMillan and Drake London that proved wrong) and argues he is a true WR1 for an NFL offense, not just a field stretcher. The source emphasizes Tate will never be cheaper in redraft leagues than his current ADP and compares him favorably to JSN's draft-season criticism. The source ranks Tate at WR28-29 personally, with a bull case starting at low-end WR2 (WR20-21 range like Luther Burden).

Insight page
PositiveBreakout7:58

The source is all-in on Carnell Tate as a breakout rookie receiver, dismissing narratives that he's too slow or incomplete. Tate is ranked WR31 overall 71st, and the source believes he will crush this ADP. The source compares him favorably to Malik Nabers' rookie season and Teddero McMillan, noting the talent is real and the skepticism is unfounded. Tate's college production: 10th in yards per route run, 4th in receiving grade among receivers with 50+ targets, zero drops in his final season despite 14.6 ADOT, and 68.8% contested catch rate. The source emphasizes Tate is a three-level threat and ball winner at the catch point. Regarding Wando Robinson's strong 2025 season, the source notes Robinson benefited from no true alpha receiver competing for targets, whereas Tate earned his targets. The source invokes JSN's draft-season skepticism (slot-only, not fast enough, can't stretch defense) as a cautionary tale about dismissing talented receivers. Tate will never be cheaper in redraft leagues than this year.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeInjury22:00

Olave has injury history; source notes if Tyson stays healthy while Olave doesn't, creates real significant volume upside for Tyson in Saints offense.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveSleeper23:01

Wide receiver ranked 61st overall, 158th overall; source selected Boston as a must-draft rookie despite being further down draft board than other three featured receivers; source notes could have easily selected Casey Concepcion instead and loved him through pre-draft process.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper23:03

Wide receiver ranked 61st overall, 158th overall; the source selected him as a must-draft rookie despite being further down the board than other three featured receivers, indicating strong conviction on his value and upside relative to ADP.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:18

The source argues there is a significant ADP gap between Denzel Boston and Casey Concepcion that should not exist; Boston is going much later despite being evaluated similarly to Concepcion during the pre-draft process. The source recommends drafting Boston late as a speculative swing, noting his film shows high-end route running, three-level threat ability, and ball-winning skills at the catch point (fifth in contested catch rate, eighth in PFF receiving grade among FBS wide receivers with 10+ contested targets). Boston ranked 79th percentile or higher in college dominator and target share. The source dismisses narratives about Boston being too slow as unfounded, comparing him to Drake London, Tedro McMillan, Cooper Cup, and DeAndre Hopkins—all initially labeled as big and slow but who succeeded. The source's stance: draft Boston late as an arbitrage bet that he could close the gap with Concepcion or even become the Browns' WR1.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:18

The source argues there is a significant ADP gap between Denzel Boston and Casey Concepcion that should not exist; Boston is going much later despite being evaluated similarly during the pre-draft process. The source advocates for drafting Boston as a late-round arbitrage bet, willing to take the chance that Boston closes the gap or becomes the Browns' WR1 over Concepcion. The source recommends using a final roster spot on Boston to see if he emerges in preseason, positioning him as a potential league-winner at his current ADP.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout24:00

The source counters the narrative that Boston is too slow and cannot separate by citing his film: high-end route running, three-level threat ability, and ball-winning skills at the catch point. Among FPS wide receivers with a minimum of 10 contested targets, Boston ranked fifth in contested catch rate and eighth in PFF receiving grade. He was 79th percentile or higher in college dominator and collegiate target share. The source compares Boston favorably to past receivers labeled as big and slow—Drake London, Tedro McMillan, Cooper Cup, DeAndre Hopkins—who proved the narrative wrong.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout26:28

The source positions Boston as a potential breakout candidate who could blow up in preseason and warrant a late-round flier; he's ranked WR49 and expected to play in two-wide-receiver sets, with the source stating 'I think Denzel Boston's going to be freaking good.' Boston may not get drafted in many home leagues and could be available as a waiver-wire pickup, making him a preferred roster acquisition over waiting.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout26:28

The source advocates for drafting Boston late as a potential breakout candidate, comparing his upside to how Debro was evaluated relative to Concepcion; notes he may not be drafted in many home leagues and could be a league-winner if he 'blows up' this preseason, making him a preferred roster grab over waiting for waivers.

Insight page
PositiveRole29:03

The source expresses confidence that Boston will play in two-wide-receiver sets for Cleveland, contrasting the clarity of his role with the uncertainty surrounding Trey Harris's role in the Chargers offense; ranks Boston at wide receiver 49 overall.

Insight page
PositiveProjection29:03

The source states 'I think Denzel Boston's going to be freaking good' and ranks him at wide receiver 49, positioning him as a strong value pick despite Cleveland's quarterback uncertainty; prefers Boston over Trey Harris in a direct comparison.

Insight page
PositiveRole29:43

The source expects Denzel Boston to perform well and projects he will play in two wide receiver sets with the LAC passing attack, indicating a featured role in the offense.

Insight page
PositiveRole29:43

The source expresses strong conviction that Denzel Boston will perform well and projects him to play in two-wide receiver sets, indicating a significant role in the LAC passing attack.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeValue21:45

Source argues Metcalf is being drafted ahead of Jordan Tyson despite weaker upside; source states comparison between Tyson and Metcalf is not even a conversation, implying Tyson is the superior value.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeMatchup27:15

The source observes that the market is giving Fannin Jr. 'grace and faith' despite Cleveland's quarterback situation, whereas Concepcion and Boston face skepticism for the same reason; attributes this partly to Fannin Jr. having already proven he can produce with poor quarterback play at the NFL level, unlike the other two.

Insight page
NegativeRole27:15

The source notes that Fannin is receiving more favorable market sentiment than Cleveland receivers Concepcion and Boston despite similar quarterback concerns, attributing this to the tight-end position's historical resilience with poor QB play and Fannin's lack of NFL-level proof. The source observes this disparity in 'grace and faith' extended to Fannin versus the skepticism applied to the receivers.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeValue1:03

The source argues all downside risk and none of the upside is baked into Jadarian Price's RB26 ADP (now RB27). The bull case: if he gets early volume while Zach Charbonnet recovers from February ACL surgery (likely not back until late October at earliest), Price could establish himself as the lead back and prove he's better than George Helani or Emmanuel Wilson. The source emphasizes the first-round draft capital spent on Price means the Seahawks will give him opportunity; it would be malpractice not to. Price's talent profile includes fifth and 25th in yards after contact per attempt and third and 31st in breakaway run rate over his final two Notre Dame seasons, plus receiving upside (tracked a ball over his shoulder in recent tape). The source notes Price was behind Jeremiah Love in college, a better prospect, so his counting stats shouldn't be held against him. With Mike McDonald's run-heavy coaching background, the source expects Price to outperform his ADP significantly.

Insight page
NegativeValue1:03

The source argues all downside risk and none of the upside is baked into Jadarian Price's RB26 ADP (RB27 after Charbonnet news). The bull case: if Price gets early volume while Zach Charbonnet recovers from February ACL surgery (likely not back until late October at earliest), Price could establish himself as the lead back and prove he deserves red zone work. The source notes Price was fifth in yards after contact per attempt and third in breakaway run rate over his final two Notre Dame seasons, and showed receiving ability with a catch-over-the-shoulder clip. The source compares the upside case to Kenneth Walker's production but with more red zone opportunity. The source emphasizes the Seahawks wouldn't spend first-round draft capital on Price if they didn't plan to use him, and that Mike McDonald's run-heavy coaching background (Harbaugh lineage) supports a heavy rushing volume approach. The source also notes Price shared a backfield with Jeremiah Love at Notre Dame, so his counting stats shouldn't be held against him.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeValue21:45

Source argues Williams is being drafted ahead of Jordan Tyson despite Tyson having stronger upside; included in list of receivers ranked above Tyson that source questions.

Insight page
NegativeRole22:00

JMO was primarily a field stretcher in Saints offense until Sam LaPorta was removed from lineup; source uses this to illustrate why Tyson has more upside than Williams despite similar ADP.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

NegativeDepth Chart26:28

The source mentions that Jerry Judy is being 'buried' in the depth chart discussion, implying he is being deprioritized in favor of younger or more promising receivers like Denzel Boston in the context of late-round draft strategy.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveProjection17:57

The source ranks Jordan Tyson at WR31 (consensus WR38, overall 87th) and believes he should be viewed as a strong WR3 with upside. Tyson is ranked above consensus and the source plans to keep drafting him. While not the most emphatic pre-draft advocate, the source sees parallels to Stevie Johnson and Brandon Iyuk—unpolished route runners who hit the ground running. Tyson's college production over final two seasons: 60th and 11th in yards per route run, 12th and 15th in receiving grade. The source emphasizes the volume upside as the number two option in the Saints passing attack. In weeks 12-18 last season, when Tyler Shuck broke out, the Saints offense ranked 5th in neutral passing rate and 11th in pass rate over expectation. If the Saints run that back with more weapons, the source projects the offense could be top-10 in passing volume, making Tyson a candidate for 120+ targets in his rookie season. Tyson is practicing in full at camp. The source expects Tyler Shuck to take a step in year two, which should benefit Tyson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection17:57

The source ranks Jordan Tyson at WR31 personally, above his consensus WR38 (overall 87th) ADP, and views him as a strong WR3 with upside. The source acknowledges Tyson has holes in his game but compares him to Stevie Johnson and Brandon Iyuk pre-breakout, noting they weren't polished route runners but hit the ground running. The source's bull case hinges on Kellen Moore's play-calling and Tyler Shuck's second-year development. Over his final two college seasons, Tyson was 60th and 11th in yards per route run, and 12th and 15th in receiving grade. The source projects Tyson could see 120+ targets as the Saints' number two option if the offense maintains its late-season 2025 form (weeks 12-18 when the Saints were 5th in neutral passing rate and 11th in pass rate over expectation). The source believes the Saints offense could rank top 10-15 in scoring this season with more weapons for Shuck, creating volume opportunity for Tyson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection20:02

Candidate for 120+ targets in rookie season if offense utilizes him heavily; source projects offense to rank top 15 with possibility to reach top 10-12, creating significant volume opportunity.

Insight page
PositiveProjection20:02

Candidate for 120+ targets in his rookie season if the offense utilizes him as intended; the source projects the offense to rank top 15 with possibility to reach top 10-12, creating significant volume upside.

Insight page
PositiveValue21:00

Despite injury history concerns, Tyson's ADP relative to upside is attractive; source prefers him over Michael Pittman Jr. at similar draft position and notes upside case is compelling, especially if Chris Olave's injury history resurfaces, creating real significant volume upside.

Insight page
PositiveValue21:00

Despite injury history concerns, Tyson's ADP relative to his upside is mispriced; the source prefers his upside case over Michael Pittman Jr. at similar ADP, especially given Olave's injury history creates additional volume upside if Tyson stays healthy and Olave doesn't.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper21:45

Source argues Tyson is being drafted behind DK Metcalf, Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas, Roma Dunze, and Jamison Williams despite stronger upside; notes JMO was only a field stretcher until Sam LaPorta was removed from lineup; recommends acquiring Tyson value in early best ball and redraft formats before ADP rises with positive camp reports.

Insight page
PositiveValue21:45

Being drafted behind DK Metcalf, Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas, Roma Dunze, and Jamison Williams despite superior upside; the source views this as a clear value opportunity, especially in early best ball and redraft formats before camp reports drive his ADP higher.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeValue21:45

Source argues Harrison Jr. is being drafted ahead of Jordan Tyson despite Tyson having stronger upside; included in list of receivers ranked above Tyson that source questions.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeValue21:06

Ranked next to Jordan Tyson in ADP; source prefers Tyson over Pittman at similar draft position, citing stronger upside case for Tyson despite not knocking Pittman as a player.

Insight page

Shedeur Sanders

NegativeProjection28:00

The source raises a hypothetical scenario about Shedeur Sanders' potential impact on Cleveland receivers: 'What if Shedeur Sanders plays good football this year, worm?' This is framed as speculative upside for Concepcion and Boston if Sanders improves the QB situation, though the source expresses low expectations for this outcome.

Insight page
NegativeProjection28:08

The source poses a hypothetical about Shedeur Sanders playing good football for Cleveland this year, framing it as an 'interesting what if' that could improve the outlook for Concepcion and Boston; expresses low expectations but acknowledges the possibility as a wildcard scenario.

Insight page

Tre Harris

NegativeValue28:24

The source ranks Trey Harris at wide receiver 57, below Denzel Boston at WR49, and chooses Boston in a direct comparison despite acknowledging the Chargers' more appealing offensive environment; cites role uncertainty and offensive scheme confusion as reasons for the lower ranking.

Insight page
NegativeRole28:24

The source expresses significant uncertainty about Trey Harris's role in the Chargers offense, questioning whether he will play in two-wide-receiver sets and whether the team will rotate multiple receivers or pair him with QJ or Lad McConkie; ranks him at wide receiver 57, below Denzel Boston at WR49, citing role ambiguity as a key concern.

Insight page
NegativeRole28:28

The source expresses significant uncertainty about Harris's role in the Chargers passing attack, ranking him WR57 and noting confusion about two-wide-receiver set composition: 'I don't know who's going to play in two wide receiver sets. Is it a rotation? Do they go green you know light and then rotate a bunch of guys? Is it QJ and Trey Harris in two wide receiver sets? Is it QJ and Lad McConkie? Do they again do they rotate it?' This role ambiguity creates downside relative to Boston.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury2:27

The source expects Zach Charbonnet's ACL surgery (performed in February to allow swelling to subside) will delay his return to late October at best, despite recent training camp optimism suggesting a possible Week 1 return. The source dismisses Week 1 return reports as unrealistic given the surgery timing and notes that even if Charbonnet is active Week 1, he likely won't play more than 20-30% of snaps early. The source believes the Seahawks' first-round investment in Jadarian Price signals they don't expect Charbonnet to be fully healthy or in a full-time role immediately upon return, and that the coaching staff chose Price as their guy rather than relying on Charbonnet or Kenneth Walker.

Insight page
NegativeInjury2:27

The source is skeptical of optimistic Week 1 return reports for Zach Charbonnet, who underwent ACL surgery in February. Given the timing and need for swelling to subside before surgery, the source estimates best-case scenario return is late October. The source dismisses early training camp tweets suggesting a Week 1 return as unrealistic and presses the BS button on the timeline. Even if Charbonnet returns early, the source expects he will not play more than 20-30% of snaps initially, allowing Jadarian Price a runway to establish himself. The source notes the Seahawks' first-round investment in Price suggests they don't expect Charbonnet to be fully healthy or in a full-time role immediately upon return.

0:41I'm Ryan Warmly, joined by Derek Brown. Today, we are having a short conversation on must-draft rookies that can help you win your league in year one, a.k.a.
0:502026. As a reminder, our 2026 consensus rankings and tiers can be found at FantasyPros.com.
0:54Slash rankings. Debro has prepared four of his favorite rookies for this year.
0:58Again, we're not talking dynasty. For this year, who can help you win your league?
1:03Debro, let's start with the one running back you have on the list here.
1:07Yeah, man. I think all of the risk and none of the upside is being baked in Jadarian Price's RB26 price tag.
1:14Like, I understand all the downside for him, but the upside case is easy here.
1:19Like, if he is Kenneth Walker this year, but he gets more of the red zone work.
1:24If Zach Charbonnet, who we're seeing various reports, he starts week one.
1:28I'm taking that with a grain of salt. I don't think he's going to be like fully healthy or like in a full-time role, even when he's back.
1:36And you don't spend a first round pick on a player like Price if you're not going to freaking use him.
1:42So all the George Helani stuff and Emmanuel Wilson stuff out there, I'm not that concerned.
1:47I'm not going to be burned or pushed off basically because Kenneth Walker didn't get the red zone usage last year, got
1:54the volume and had the poorest run out ever and pushed me off of Gendarium Price.
1:59Like, I understand when people have a little bit of problems of like saying, oh, well, he only had 13 targets over his final two collegiate season.
2:07Worm, if you go to the timeline right now, my man, there's an easy catch of Gendarium Price tracking a ball over
2:14his shoulder, showing that there are past game skills to be had for Gendarium Price.
2:19And you mix that with the rushing talent of a player that over the final two years of Notre Dame was fifth
2:25and 25th in yards of the contact per attempt, third and 31st in breakaway run rate.
2:30The talent is there, man, for him to crush this price tag and be like a top 20 running back this year.
2:37What is your expectation for Zach Charbonnet in terms of a timeline?
2:41Because I've been operating under the assumption he's actually back to like best case scenario late October, given that the surgery didn't
2:47take place till like February because they need to get the swelling down.
2:51And yet you see these tweets that are already starting to trickle out.
2:55Obviously, there's a lot of optimism during training camp season always.
2:59But you see the tweets like, oh, it's going to be a close call for week one.
3:04I'm like, hey, that just seems like absolutely impossible given when the surgery took place.
3:08But B, does it influence you at all in terms of, you know, what you expect from him in terms of his return?
3:16Because I've been thinking like, hey, if he's not back till like November and they're going to ease him in, shake off
3:22the rust and then just want to have him ready for January, that price is going to have this long runway.
3:29I have an all overpriced at RB 26, 67th overall value in terms of redraft leagues.
3:34But is there any part of you that's like, well, maybe Charbonnet is like medicine gets better every year.
3:39Maybe he is healing faster than expected. I see.
3:42I'm with you that I'm just kind of like pressing the BS button.
3:46Like, I don't believe a lot of the stuff that we're getting right now based off the timing and everything like that.
3:53Like, could he have a Wolverine like recovery? Sure.
3:56But is that also like they go out and they address the running back need in drafting Janarian price in the first round?
4:03Well, I think a lot of people were like, well, he's not a first round pick.
4:08There's a lot of questions with the profile and the player and what have you.
4:12You don't put that type of investment and capital behind a guy.
4:16If you were so just hell bent and like just dug in that Zach Charbonnet was going to be beating his timeline,
4:23he was going to be back by week one as well as fine.
4:26If he's back, he's back. That doesn't mean if he's active on week one, he's playing more than 20 or 30% of the snaps.
4:34Now for price to your point, though, worm, if he gets because see, here's the here's the bull case for price.
4:40Charbonnet starts slow or doesn't play for the first few weeks.
4:44Price comes on like gangbusters and he looks like the clear lead back and he's way better than Helani.
4:49They trust him in the red zone, the passing downs.
4:52And then even when Charbonnet comes back, maybe Charbonnet plays the complimentary role that we all kind of walked into last year
4:59thinking he was going to play with Kenneth Walker.
5:02So in any way that you want to play this, if Charbonnet is back early, but price gets the run and proves
5:09himself, just say, like, let's play this out weeks one through three, one through four.
5:13Or if he does that, can he take hold of this backfield and not let go of it?
5:19That's the way that I'm playing this. I think it would be malpractice if they didn't give him that opportunity, given the draft capital spent.
5:26Yes. And also just like it's real. I know it's a new play caller and everything, but it's really impossible for me
5:33to believe that a guy like Mike McDonald with his background, both in terms of the Harbaugh's he's coached under and what
5:40we've seen from him as a head coach himself.
5:43And that he's a defensive first guy, it's impossible for me to imagine this is going to be anything other than a run heavy team.
5:50And even with Charbonnet, like when he is back on the field, I think there will still be opportunity for price to
5:57outperform his ADP and his ranking, which, by the way, I said RB 26.
6:01It's now down to RB 27 since I put together the sheet.
6:05That's the Charbonnet news, man. He's going to keep dropping some.
6:08I will take that price, no pun intended, all day, every day.
6:12The last thing I'll say on him is I just want to echo what you said about like some of the stats
6:19in terms of him being a good player. Let's not hold the fact that he was behind one of the best running
6:26back prospects we've seen in a while against him.
6:28He happened to share a college backfield with Jeremiah Love.
6:31I don't care what his counting stats were when a guy who, yes, we all admit is better than Jadarian Price was in the backfield with him.
6:40That doesn't mean Price can't be a really good NFL running back and he got the draft capital.
6:45And I know that there's a difference between getting draft capital in the top 10 as a running back versus end of the first round.
6:53He still got the first round investment from a team that didn't have a lot of picks to spend this year.
6:59I just really, if he was inside the top 20, I'd be way more hesitant.
7:04But I just feel like the risk is baked in and the upside is just right there for the taking.
7:10The other thing that I have not heard this point out there at all.
7:14So correct me if I'm wrong here, Worm, that I think is kind of getting glossed over a little bit too.
7:21To your point, McDonald and that coaching staff inherited Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker.
7:25Jadarian Price is the guy they chose to go out and draft.
7:29Yes, I know they have the same GM, but there's also something to be said for this coaching staff, for Charbonnet and
7:35Walker being holdovers from a previous regime as far as coaching, and this being the guy that they said, no, we want
7:42to go out and get this guy from this new coaching staff.
7:46Yeah, totally agree. We can go back and forth agreeing on Jadarian Price this whole episode.
7:51We have a couple other names to get to.
7:53Let's go to Carnell Tate first amongst the wide receivers you want to talk about here.
7:58Wide receiver 31, overall 71st. There is a runout where Carnell Tate could be a Malik Nabors type of rookie season, and
8:05I don't think that's insane, or even like we want to shade that a little bit.
8:10Teddero McMillan's rookie season, Worm, and you're not paying top 24 wide receiver price tag for it, man.
8:15Wide receiver 31 right now in ADP. The talent is real.
8:19And again, how many years do we have to go through this Worm where it's, oh, he's too slow.
8:25We played that game with Teddero McMillan. They played that game with Drake London.
8:29I said it was wrong at both turns. And here we are again.
8:33And people said, oh, well, yeah, but he's not a complete player.
8:36Get out of here, man. Like, I don't understand where people come away with this BS narrative street stuff during draft season
8:43of like, let's try to shade really, really talented players.
8:46I'm all in on Carnell Tate. Like, I think he can crush this ADP.
8:51I think the only thing, like, if people are worried about Wando Robinson, like, I know he had a really good season last year.
8:58That was also no Malik Nabors, no true alpha wide receiver to stand in his way from target competent or target earning ability.
9:05So, Carnell Tate, I've said it throughout the entire pre-draft process, and I'll say it again here.
9:10He is that dude. He was 10th in yards per outrun last year.
9:14Fourth best in receiving grade amongst all collegiate wide receivers with 50 more targets.
9:18You also talk about he is a three-level threat.
9:21He had zero drops in his final season in college despite having a 14.6 ADOT.
9:26Not only can he win at all three levels and stretch a defense.
9:30Dude, he is a ball winner at the catch point.
9:3368.8% contested catch rate in his final year at college.
9:36I don't want to hear any of the stuff about, oh, but Jeremiah Smith was making life easier for him.
9:42Again, targets are earned. Talent shows out. Carnell Tate has it.
9:45And I think he's going to crush this year.
9:48You invoked Ted O'Roe and McMillan. How would you compare the two, not stylistically, but just in terms of quality of prospect?
9:55Because Carnell Tate gets the better draft capital, right?
9:58He goes a few spots earlier in his draft class.
10:01Different class, right? There's other stuff that goes into that, but he goes a little bit earlier.
10:06I feel like I liked Ted O'Roe and McMillan a bit more coming out of college, even though he went a few spots later.
10:13They both go to offenses with some degree of question, obviously, at quarterback and what the offense is going to look like.
10:20I think we maybe feel a little bit better about Cam Ward going into year two than some people did about Bryce Young going into year three.
10:28Maybe you feel differently than that. That seems to be sort of the narrative I've seen, but similarly questionable situations offensively.
10:35But just overall good players that you and I both are kind of confused why there's as much hate as there is.
10:41And I'll also invoke Ted O'Roe and McMillan to say this is now the third straight year that I feel like I've
10:48been sitting here screaming at people saying, you know, two years ago, Malik Neighbors will never be cheaper than what his ADP is this rookie season.
10:56Last year, Ted O'Roe and McMillan will never be cheaper in drafts than what his ADP was going into last year.
11:02By the way, both of those turned out to be super correct.
11:06Not that that was I was going out on a limb there.
11:10But again, I'm looking at Cardinal Tate going into 30s.
11:13He will never be cheaper in redraft leagues than he is this year, in my opinion.
11:18How do they compare in your mind in terms of like Ted O'Roe and McMillan last year, 70 catches, 1014 receiving yards, seven touchdowns.
11:25Do those feel like attainable numbers for Cardinal Tate to sort of mirror that in his year?
11:30Oh, he can absolutely mirror that if not surpass.
11:33And I think this all comes back to a conversation about quarterback play.
11:37I don't think anybody will fight either one of us on who is the more naturally talented and gifted player and thrower of the football.
11:45Cam Ward, Cam Ward versus Bryce Young. And again, going back to yesteryear narrative season, I was told Jackson Dart was garbage.
11:51I was told Jackson Dart wasn't good. I was told Jackson Dart wasn't going to be a first round quarterback.
11:57He was my QB one of that process, by the way.
12:01And that proved to be correct. Brian Dayball is a good quarterback coach.
12:05He can do things with this offense. And going back to like just comparing the two guys, I think stylistically they're very different.
12:12The way that they are very similar is both of those players, Ted O'Roe and McMillan and Cardinal Tate, are true wide receiver ones for an NFL offense.
12:20A lot of people don't discuss Cardinal Tate in that manner because he was used kind of as a field stretcher and
12:27they don't look at him in that light. I just look like this is another Ohio statewide receiver where it was like,
12:34well, yeah, when JSN came out, he would. Yes, everybody's putting respect on his freaking name, but we can all also be
12:41kind and rewind and understand JSN wasn't a guy that was drafted in the top five or 10 in the NFL draft.
12:47He fell all the way into the freaking 20s worm.
12:50And now people want to say like after his rookie season and oh, he's a bust and then he comes out and
12:57he has a better sophomore year and then he blows the freaking top off in his third season.
13:03It's like, oh yeah. Well, now we know JSN is good.
13:06But where was everybody then? Where was everybody during that draft season and saying, oh, well, we don't even know because I'm
13:13old enough and we've been around here long enough worm.
13:16JSN is only a slot wide receiver. He can't play outside.
13:19He's not really fast. He can't stretch a wide.
13:22He can't stretch a defense and be a deep threat.
13:25I'm old enough to have lived through all those narratives.
13:28And I know you are as well. We're we have seen enough of narrative street over years and years and years to understand it is BS.
13:36It is wrong. It is idiotic. And I'm not playing this game with Carnell Tate.
13:41Any way, shape, form or fashion. He's good. I'm drafting him.

16:07Just quickly, where is he actually ranked for you amongst receivers?
16:10Because he's actually 30th right now, and a lot of the names ahead of him I do also like.
16:16I like Christian Watson, DJ Moore, or Roma Dunzey are the three names right ahead of him.
16:21I like those guys all at cost, but I look behind Carnell Tate.
16:25I'm like Marvin Harrison Jr. in this offense, Alec Pierce with the injury, Brian Thomas Jr.
16:30we know what went on there. The guys behind, I'm like, Tate's the last guy that I'm going to feel really excited about.
16:37There are names that I'm interested in later, of course, but Tate's at that 30th spot as a guy that I'm excited
16:44about, and then some of the people ahead of him.
16:47Where is he actually ranked for you? I've got him at wide receiver 28 or 29, depending on the day, but I
16:54think the conversation starts for Carnell Tate. It's high of the bull case for him.
16:58I think it starts at low end wide receiver too.
17:01If somebody were to tell me they have him at wide receiver 21, 20-ish, in the same realm as a Luther Burden,
17:08I'm not going to tell you that's wrong. I think the upside is definitely there, but you don't have to draft him
17:15there to get him, which is really nice. A quick note for everybody.

17:47Guys, we've got two more receivers here. Debro, Jordan Tyson, the other first-rounder here.
17:51Wide receiver 38, overall 87th. Actually, the last two have been updated.
17:55Yes, he is still wide receiver 38 here. That one is still correct.
17:59Sandwiched between Chris Godwin and Michael Pittman Jr. Why is Tyson on this list for you?
18:03Because I've got him above consensus, and I'm going to keep drafting him.
18:07I'm not telling you that I was the most emphatic Jordan Tyson lover during the pre-draft process and stuff.
18:13There are holes and parts of his game that he needs to improve on, but much like a Stevie Johnson or a
18:20Brandon Iyuk of yesteryear, before all the things that Brandon Iyuk is doing right now, they were not the most polished route
18:27runners coming out of college, and they hit the ground running.
18:30And I think depending on, like, if we truly believe Kellen Moore is a sharp play caller and a sharp coach, I
18:37think you should at this point, then he's going to put Tyson in the best way, in the best position to sit
18:43here and maximize his skill set, what he does.
18:46And then we got it down to an offensive environment conversation and contextually, like, who he is as a player.
18:52And I think looking at, if we think Tyler Shuck can take a step in his second season, which I think everybody
18:59should be believing, then you should be investing in Jordan Tyson.
19:02Like, I have him at wide receiver 31 right now in my rankings.
19:06I think he should be viewed as a strong wide receiver three with upside.
19:11He's practicing in full right now to open a camp.
19:14I just saw those posts earlier today. And so for a player that over his final two collegiate seasons was 60th and
19:2111th in yards per route run, 12th and 15th in receiving grade, as well as this doesn't get brought up enough in
19:27the conversation worm about the volume that Jordan Tyson could see as the number two option in the Saints passing attack.
19:34I want everybody to also understand when the Saints were humming to close last year in weeks 12 through 18, and we
19:40saw Tyler Shuck really kind of breaking out in his rookie season in weeks 12 through 18, we're discussing a New Orleans
19:47passing attack that I don't think everybody realizes was 5th in neutral passing rate and 11th in pass rate over expectation.
19:54So quietly, if they run that back this year with more weapons for Tyler Shuckworm, this offense could be top 10 in passing rate and passing volume.
20:02And if they do that, dude, Jordan Tyson is a candidate for maybe 120 plus targets in his rookie season.
20:08As crazy as that sounds, man. Where do you think the offense is going to rank this season?
20:13Like just 1 to 32? I'm not talking about like passing rate, just like overall in terms of like how they score and those sorts of opportunities.
20:22Where do you think it's going to rank? Like middle of the pack?
20:26High middle of the pack? High middle of the pack.
20:29I think like top 15 with the possibility to get into the top 10, top 12.
20:34Remind me, would Jordan Tyson have been your wide receiver one in this class if he was fully healthy and none of the injury stuff was an issue?
20:42No. It was Cornell Tate. It was Cornell Tate with a bullet like the entirety of the way.
20:48Okay. Yeah. I like Tyson a lot. I understand folks who are like, you know, with the injury history, we haven't seen it at the NFL.
20:56Maybe they're not totally bought into Shuck in the way you are.
20:59I get that, but it does feel like if you're talking upside and where he's going in the draft, I'm interested in upside.
21:06Like, am I going to take Michael Pittman Jr.
21:09over him who's ranked right next to him? Like, I sure don't think so.
21:13I like, and that's not a knock on Pittman, the player.
21:17I just like, I feel like the upside case.
21:20And then you build in like, Olave has his own injury history.
21:23So now if Tyson stays healthy and Olave doesn't, now there's like real significant volume upside here.
21:28So even on top of what you're already describing.
21:31So yeah, I'm with you on this one as well.
21:34Even though the downside case feels a little stronger than some of the other two.
21:39Yeah, I just look at where he's going in drafts and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
21:45It's like, really we're drafting DK Metcalf, Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas, Roma Dunze, even Jamison Williams ahead of Jordan Tyson.
21:51Like, JMO didn't really do anything until you didn't have Sam Laporta last year in the lineup.
21:56Like, JMO was just their field stretcher. So like, all these different guys that are still in that like, wide receiver three territory.
22:03It's like, we're really doing this? Like, are we still going to be doing this in another week or two of camp worm?
22:10When, if Tyson is healthy and we're getting nothing but good reports, I think Tyson will hop in an ADP as well.
22:17So like, if you're out there doing early best ball drafts, if you're like, you got early redrafts right now that you're
22:24doing, then you need to scoop up the value right now.
22:27Because I think this value could also not fully disappear because I think there's a cap to the ceiling of where he goes.
22:34But versus all these other guys, like him versus DK Metcalf isn't even a conversation for me.
22:39It's also basically never a bad idea to invest in highly drafted rookie receivers.
22:44Yes. As we've already talked about here. It almost always, I mean, I don't want to say literally 100% of the time,
22:50but like, it is one of the strongest investments you can make is rookie receivers, especially first round receivers.
22:56There are exceptions, but yeah, it's just a strong bet to make over a boring bet.
23:01Like the guys that are going around here. We've got one more, not a first rounder, Denzel Boston, wide receiver 61, overall 158.
23:08So a lot further down the list than these other three names we've talked about.
23:13Boston is a target for you. Why? Because, and I want to be very clear about this.
23:18I easily could have put Casey Concepcion on this list and not batted an eye.
23:23I mean, I loved him through the entire pre-draft process.
23:26He was my wide receiver too, post-draft. But the reason that I wanted to help him I will actually say, I was
23:32surprised that when you picked a Browns receiver, it wasn't.
23:35So the reason I'm, I'm picking Boston again, I want to be very, very pointed with this.
23:41Why I put Denzel Boston and I could have made a case for either one of these Browns receivers.
23:46Go draft them both. Honestly, in my perfect draft article, I'm telling you to draft both of them and see how this works out.
23:54The reason I want to highlight Denzel Boston here, that worm is the discrepancy and the difference and the chasm between Casey
24:00Concepcion and Denzel Boston and where they go in drafts.
24:04I feel like it's wrong, man. Like Denzel Boston, where everybody is saying collectively and I'm not against it totally is that
24:10Casey Concepcion will be the clear wide receiver one in the Browns passing attack.
24:15And I just like, it could be a lot closer and I'm willing to take the arbitrage bet for Denzel Boston closing
24:21that gap or maybe being the wide receiver one over Casey Concepcion because as much as I love Casey Concepcion in the
24:28entire pre-draft process and post-draft, I love Denzel Boston just as much, dude.
24:32Like he was like right there with Casey Concepcion during the entire pre-draft process and for a player that again, going back
24:39to crap narrative street, everybody's like, oh, he's a big hulking ex but he's too slow.
24:44Oh, he can't separate. If you think Denzel Boston cannot separate, I'm just going to straight up say that you didn't watch
24:50his film and you are full of crap. Like straight up.
24:54People did not watch him because all the way littered through his film is high-end route running, the ability to be a three-level threat.
25:01The guy is a ball winner at the catch point amongst all FPS wide receivers with a minimum of 10 contested targets
25:08last year, fifth in contested catch rate, eighth in PFF receiving grade.
25:11He was 79th or higher percentile wise in college dominator and collegiate target share.
25:16He's got good hands and again, going that with all the narratives, saying he is too slow as a four or five wide receiver is absolutely ridiculous.
25:24I can name off four or five wide receiver after four or five speed wide receiver year after year after year, Drake
25:31London, Tedro McMillan, Cooper Cup, DeAndre Hopkins, all of these different guys where they got the label of being big and slow.
25:37It was wrong then and it is wrong now.
25:40So the reason I want to highlight Boston is because of that ADP gap that I think really should not exist and
25:47saying if we're all as a consortium wrong and it's not Casey Concepcion as their wide receiver one, then you need to
25:54be drafting more Denzel Boston if not just draft both of them on your teams this year.
25:59It feels to me like Boston is sort of the, where he's going in drafts right now this could change.
26:05Where he's going in drafts right now feels like the ideal example of if your league settings in your draft room allow
26:12you to, don't draft a kicker, draft Boston with your last pick and then see who you want to drop.
26:18Yes, but like if you're allowed to do that, don't.
26:21Use those spots on a guy like Boston who might blow up this preseason and say, oh, he is as good as
26:28Debro was saying compared to Concepcion and we're burying Jerry Judy so if you want to have a guy maybe he is the one.
26:35Take those swings with a guy who's going this late because you might look at his ADP and say, well, especially in
26:42like, maybe not in an industry league but in a more like home league kind of standard setting, you could probably say
26:48in a lot of leagues he's not going to get drafted so he'll just be a preferred waiver wire pickup.
26:55Don't do that. Go get him on your roster now so when he does blow up you have him already and you
27:01can make that decision on kicker later on you know, when you need to to set your lineups if you are, you
27:08know, are in a league with kickers. The other thing that I think is hilarious here and just 100 foot view here,
27:15Worm, do you find it also curious and kind of funny that Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston are getting the knock based
27:21off of the quarterback play possibly for Cleveland but Harold Fannin Jr.
27:25isn't having to suffer any of that? Everybody's like, oh, Harold Fannin Jr.
27:29will be awesome. Don't, no worries, no shade, he'll be great.
27:33Nature of tight ends, just the tight end position or the fact that we've seen him do it with a bad quarterback
27:39situation and we haven't seen it yet from the other two at the NFL level.
27:44But all of that grace and faith but then people have no faith at all that Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston can
27:51be that kind of guy and here's the other thing that plays devil's advocate here.
27:55I have no faith in Deshaun Watson so you will not hear any positive Deshaun Watson takes out of me.
28:01He's garbage, can't wait till he's out of the NFL, forget him, off into the ether with you.
28:07What if Shadur Sanders plays good football this year, worm?
28:10What if? I don't know how much I expect that but it is an interesting what if.
28:15So we're still here. We're still here and we're still kicking.
28:18I did want to ask you quickly just because they're close to each other in the rankings.
28:24Denzel Boston or Trey Harris who would you rather draft this year with your last pick?
28:28I hate that you're doing this to me. I mean the Chargers are obviously the more appealing offensive environment although I will
28:35say like obviously I'm not going to compare him to Mike McDaniel.
28:39I do think Todd Munkin for as weird of a choice as he is for a head coach at his age and
28:46experience while having never done it before I think he is a really good offensive play designer caller.
28:51So like again the quarterback situation is very different but like I do think both have good play callers this year and you're going to take Boston.
28:59I'm taking Boston and I'm saying this also with my ranks and stuff.
29:03I have Boston at wide receiver 49 I have Trey Harris at wide receiver 57 I'm also kind of just throwing my
29:10hands up like I'm struggling big time with this Chargers offense like what to do how it's going to sift out like
29:17the other thing about Trey Harris dude it's like I don't know who's going to play in two wide receiver sets.
29:23Is it a rotation? Do they go green you know light and then rotate a bunch of guys?
29:29Is it QJ and Trey Harris in two wide receiver sets?
29:32Is it QJ and Lad McConkie? Do they again do they rotate it?
29:36Like so I'm kind of throwing my hands up in the air like with Trey Harris and the LAC passing attack but
29:43I know one thing's for sure like I think Denzel Boston's going to be freaking good and I think he's going to play in two wide receiver sets.
29:51We'll go ahead and wrap things up there thanks everyone for checking out this shorter episode of Must Draft Rookies to help you win your league in 2026.
