Alvin Kamara

NegativeBust9:00

Alvin Kamara's Week 4 performance was a 'shameful good fantasy game'—he posted 13.9 expected half-PPR points (RB8 ranking) on just seven carries, but this masked poor actual running back performance. The Saints' brutal rushing attack and offensive line injuries will force even more pass-heavy game scripts. Matt Harmon recommends selling high on Kamara despite his remaining utility as a receiver in a high-volume passing offense; the Saints' offensive line struggles and inability to run the ball make his current market value unsustainable.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveProjection27:33

Amon-Ra St. Brown is ranked as wide receiver five on the season and is identified as the primary metronome in the Lions' pass-heavy offense alongside Sam Leaporta. He is tied with Tedo McMillan for fourth in routes, indicating consistent high-volume involvement driven by the Lions' defensive weakness and offensive line concerns that force them to remain pass-heavy. Matt Harmon describes St. Brown as a reliable, predictable weekly starter in fantasy lineups.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveRole0:45

Brian Robinson has emerged as a sustainable flex play with real standalone value alongside Bijan Robinson; he's a power runner and downhill player who benefits from an elite offensive line and serves as a breather back. He's projected as a low-end flex play in the final two weeks with expected points of 5.9 and 12.7; he's being used to keep Bijan Robinson fresh rather than subbing in specifically for goal-line work. He functions as a Blake Corum-like complementary back for bye-week fill-ins and has more fantasy points per game than Jeremiah Love at this point.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection19:00

Bryce Young has transformed the Panthers offense under Dave Canales and is performing at an elite level despite facing more quick pressures than any other NFL quarterback. Matt Harmon states: "Bryce has just been great. I have no negative notes on Bryce so far. He's been fantastic under pressure." Young leads the NFL in passing yards, is first with 13 completions of 25+ yards and 55 completions of 10+ yards, and is averaging 9 yards per throw. His accuracy has always been elite, and he excels when playing on time and making pre-snap decisions. Young is now surrounded by improved talent (Tedo McMillan, Jaylen Coker) in an offense built for him, contrasting sharply with the depleted rosters of his first two seasons. His receivers' expanded catch radius has amplified his effectiveness. Harmon is buying Young as a fantasy starter at QB, noting the dynamic between him and offensive coordinator mirrors the Jared Goff-Ben Johnson synergy; Young's performance is sustainable despite physical limitations in arm strength and mobility.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveUsage11:30

Chris Olave is second in NFL routes run (behind Devon Veil's 182) and remains the primary receiver in the Saints offense alongside Veil. The Saints run 11 personnel 74% of the time, making Olave a consistent target in the high-volume passing scheme. His presence in the receiving corps will keep him afloat despite the team's offensive line struggles and run-game collapse; the forced high-volume passing attack ensures consistent target volume.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveValue18:00

Chuba Hubbard is the best value pick in all of fantasy football according to Matt Harmon. He's running back eight on the season through four weeks with exceptional consistency—weeks of RB9, RB10, RB12, and RB7—making him a top-12 guy every game so far. Teams with Hubbard on Yahoo have won 56% of their games, the highest winning percentage of any player drafted around or after him. Harmon projects him to finish as a top-12 running back for the rest of the season with high usage. Hubbard is a versatile, elite-level running back in the Panthers' diverse run game under Dave Canales and run game coordinator Harold Goodwin; he can run all concepts (inside zone, outside zone, crack toss), excels in pass protection, and is arguably Matt Rhule's best draft pick. Bryce Young's improved play—putting the ball on the money and finding a sweet spot of buying time without over-relying on scrambles—has transformed the Panthers offense into something 'pretty real' and enabled the entire offense to perform at a high level in fantasy.

Insight page

CJ Donaldson

PositiveRole10:50

CJ Donaldson is being used consistently in Saints passing situations and is a goal-line option; he will catch four to five passes per game due to the team's high pass rate, making him a flex play. His pass-protection ability may even increase his snap share as the Saints consider heavy personnel groups to address offensive line issues.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveUsage0:16

Rake London holds wide receiver one overall target share at 35% and wide receiver one overall air yards at 116 per game through four weeks; elite target volume and air-yard allocation in the Falcons' three-player funnel offense.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:16

Drake London is positioned as a top-five fantasy wide receiver candidate under Michael Pennix; he holds WR1 overall target share at 35% and WR1 overall air yards at 116 per game through four weeks. He receives the majority of first-read targets in an under-center play-action scheme with roles in big crossers, overs, and post routes. The Falcons don't need to be a top-10 offense for London to hit that ceiling given the three-player target funnel (London, Bijan Robinson, Brian Robinson) and Kyle Pitts' absence from the offensive equation.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeValue31:52

George Kittle is used as a tight end 3 comparison point for Sam LaPorta for the rest of the season; Matt Harmon views the LaPorta vs. Kittle tight end 3 ranking as 'very live,' suggesting LaPorta is competitive with Kittle for that tier.

Insight page

Isaac TeSlaa

PositiveRole28:48

Tesla's recent involvement in the Lions offense is viewed as encouraging, as he provides a vertical element that can clear space for Jameson Williams to run quicker crossing routes. While Tesla represents another mouth to feed for fantasy purposes, his addition allows the Lions to diversify their passing attack and potentially improve Williams' route diversity beyond the downfield-heavy role he has occupied.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeProjection27:33

Jameson Williams is ranked as wide receiver 45 on the season despite being sixth in routes, raising sustainability questions. Matt Harmon expects Williams' ranking to improve after more positive games but notes his production will remain a roller coaster. Last week he was WR19-20 in usage with limited route diversity (three comeback routes, a screen, a quick out, and one deep shot), suggesting his downfield-heavy role may limit consistency. However, in Week 5 against the Cardinals—a "start everybody" matchup where neither team has made a stop all season—Williams is a strong play. He faced Caleb Evans on almost every target last week and may face a similar cornerback matchup against Arizona.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury33:54

Jeremiah Love suffered a right ankle injury late in Week 4 when his ankle got trapped underneath him on a handoff with 11 minutes remaining; he played the next snap but showed clear discomfort, kicking his leg to loosen it up before running out to the flats on his final snap. Post-game comments included 'this is the longest year of my life.' This is his second ankle injury of the preseason/season (left ankle in preseason). Matt Harmon expressed concern about the injury's severity and Love's ability to play in Week 5. Compounding the injury concern, Love's snap count has declined significantly and inconsistently: 32 snaps in Week 1, 30 in Week 2, 55 in Week 3, then dropped to 30 in Week 4 and he didn't play in the final 10 minutes. Harmon observed that Love didn't look quite as good as he did in Weeks 1–2, noting a couple of times turning the corner where he appeared not fully himself. Additionally, Love was not inserted on four goal-line plays late in the game despite Tyler Allgeier potentially being available to come out, suggesting limited role in short-yardage situations and possible workload management with a preservation mindset rather than maximizing touches for their third overall pick.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeRole15:15

Expected return week 9 (per Adam Schefter); will significantly reduce Devon Veil's role as Saints' second receiver. Veil's current WR21 ranking and flex-level status is contingent on Tyson remaining sidelined; Matt Harmon will not consider Veil a sell-high until closer to Tyson's return, with approximately 3-4 weeks of opportunity remaining before role diminishes.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveValue11:20

Juwan Johnson is tight end four on the season but was drafted much closer to tight end 20, representing significant value. He's tight end five in expected points with a floor of at least tight end 14 in usage across all four games. In 15 games with Tyler Shurmur, he averages 10 half-PPR points, equating to tight end seven production. Matt Harmon notes he's underrated on tape and unlikely to be traded for, making him a hold until around week nine when he may move to the bench. Despite Saints' offensive line injuries and upcoming Vikings matchup, Johnson remains useful as a receiver in the high-volume passing offense.

Insight page
NegativeValue16:40

Sell-high candidate discussion initiated by Matt Harmon; Saints continue to run high volume of plays regardless of offensive line injuries and team trajectory, supporting continued opportunity for Johnson in Saints' pass-heavy scheme. Jawan Johnson is tight end four on the season but was drafted much closer to tight end 20, representing significant value. He's tight end five in expected points with a floor of at least tight end 14 in usage across all four games. In 15 games with Tyler Shuck, he averages 10 half-PPR points, equating to tight end seven production. Matt Harmon notes he's underrated on tape and unlikely to be traded for, making him a hold until around week nine when he may move to the bench.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveDepth Chart4:13

Kyle Pitts is not part of the Falcons' offensive equation and is not playing full-time snaps at this point, removing him from fantasy consideration despite his talent. His absence from the three-player target funnel (Drake London, Bijan Robinson, Brian Robinson) concentrates volume among those three players.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveRole0:00

Michael Pennix's takeover at QB for the Falcons has triggered a dramatic offensive shift toward under-center play-action; he's dramatically increased his under-center play-action usage—six attempts against the Packers and eight last night, compared to six combined in his first two NFL years—which is a significant departure from his college and early-career tendencies and represents an encouraging tactical fit with Kevin Stefanski's system. He wants to push the ball downfield with Drake London as the primary first read, operates a concentrated passing attack similar to his college patterns, and has been highly efficient on post routes (2-for-68 yards against the Saints). However, he will miss some passes due to accuracy issues and occasional batted balls.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveUsage38:05

High-volume target receiver with 30 targets over last two games combined; extension recipient showing elite route-running and critical role in Cardinals offense. Late in Week 4 game down six points at the five-yard line, Michael Wilson was targeted on first down, second down, and fourth down consecutively, demonstrating his importance in high-leverage situations. Excels at top-of-route breaks and press-man coverage situations. The Cardinals are deploying spread formations specifically designed to cater to Wilson, with Trey McBride as a detached player handling underneath passing concepts to create space for Wilson on the perimeter.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveProjection27:33

Sam Leaporta is ranked as tight end five on the season and is identified as a consistent metronome in the Lions' pass-heavy offense alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown. Matt Harmon describes him as one of the Lions' reliable weekly targets in a scheme driven by defensive weakness and offensive line concerns that force the team to remain pass-heavy. Leaporta is expected to remain a primary target going forward.

Insight page
PositiveProjection33:17

LaPorta posted 23.6 expected half-PPR points last week, the most by any tight end all season; he ranks as tight end 3 in usage for the entire season. The Lions are dropping back frequently and using him in unique red zone sets (three-by-one formations with him isolated on the right side), including a fourth-and-five conversion. Matt Harmon compares him favorably to George Kittle for tight end 3 ranking for the rest of the season and calls him one of the best picks in the round 6–8 range when wide receivers and running backs busted.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeRole39:46

Tight end deployed as detached player in Cardinals' spread formations; specialist in underneath routes and stick routes. Part of three-eligible-receiver spread formations designed to create space for Michael Wilson on the perimeter, with McBride handling underneath passing concepts.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

NegativeUsage36:58

Workload volatility raises injury concern; dropped from 26 touches in Week 3 to 14 touches in Week 4, suggesting potential snap reduction or injury management. Allgeier stated post-game that he didn't get hurt but emphasized workload management, indicating the team is monitoring his health and pacing him to finish the season. If Jeremiah Love misses time due to his ankle injury, Allgeier would be positioned as a potential waiver wire pickup, though Matt Harmon noted that no one is really talking about Allgeier as a waiver candidate. Harmon described Allgeier as 'a perfectly solid NFL back' who the Cardinals would be 'probably fine' using for a week or two if needed.

0:00Oh yes, welcome to Stats Versus Film.
0:02This is the flagship program. You know what we did? We watched every single game from week four, then looked at the
0:09underlying metrics, the the spreadsheets, the stats, and then progressed that over to week five to help you bully and defeat your league
0:17mates and get that W. To help me do that today, Hayden Winkx, Matt Harmon, you guys know the core of this episode. We
0:24go through the 10 headline teams at the top, namely the two prime time games we haven't discussed yet, and then we go in
0:29alphabetical order after that. And uh Hayden, four weeks is a very long time, and it already feels like had some Jaclyn High teams, and we have to kick
0:38that off with the Atlanta Falcons, maybe the most high team of all time through the first four games of an NFL season.
0:45Uh since Michael Pennix took over, Bejian Robinson is a running back two and running back five. Brian Robinson is the running back 19 and running back
0:53eight. Is this a high-flying fantasy scoring environment?
0:57>> I think it kind of is. I think the Falcons defense is going to be more middle of the pack. Their secondary I
1:02think is still getable and this is the NFC South which we're talking about like the Carnival division uh out there and
1:10the ball is just funneled to it's more or less three players. I'll include Brian Robinson in that but 14 games with
1:16Michael Penn. Rake London is a wide receiver three on wide receiver one overall target share at 35%. Wide receiver one overall area yards 116 per
1:25game. Uh and then be John the stats are incredible. And to me like the one thing we just have to get right at this point
1:31is what do we do with Brian Robinson?
1:34Like is he Kyle Manungai or is he Kaylin Black? And I think that's kind of the range I'm trying to figure out. that.
1:40>> Well, speaking of the Bears, I mean, they have 335 rushing yards from their running backs over the last two weeks.
1:47Uh, that is second to the Atlanta Falcons who have 451.
1:51I mean, the production from the running backs the last two weeks is just absolutely outrageous. And, you know, I've always thought that Brian Robinson
1:58is not just some dud. He's a nice player. Uh, he's got he's got a specific set of skills, right? He's a power
2:05runner. He's a downhill player. He hits the hole and he gets north. And I mean, the route or the the rushing chart here
2:12is exactly right. You know, there's going to be a little bit bouncing to the outside, but for the most part, we're
2:17downhill. We're going forward. And he's been able to do that. And, you know, for a guy like Bejian Robinson, it's nice to
2:22have a breather player in the back field. I I think Brian Robinson, there's some sustainability to this. It's these are the best picks in fantasy, right?
2:30guys, these ones who have the sustainability as one of the best handcuffs, but also real deal standalone value. I'm kind of starting to buy into
2:39the fact that Brian Robinson has some of that because I think this offensive line, Josh, has been kicking butt up front.
2:46>> 100%. I'm about to blow some people's minds and also frustrate some others. Uh Brian Robinson has more fantasy points per game than Jeremiah Love does at this
2:55point. I mean, it goes to show how different these last two weeks have been on top of that. I kind of just want to
3:00zoom out on the Falcons and maybe this kind of explains everything about them because Hayden, they were the worst franchise in the NFL in the opening two
3:07weeks of the season and then these last two weeks they've scored over 40 points, right? I know the answer. I don't have
3:12to ask you like, well, what is real?
3:14It's it's somewhere in between. But the Falcons can't keep scoring 40 points per contest. And I I think it's mainly due
3:21to some of the defenses that they faced over the last two weeks. That's fair.
3:24And I don't want to rain on people's parades. You have the Green Bay Packers who have no pass rush and had some
3:28issues in the back end, right? And then you have the New Orleans Saints who had no defensive line and Brandon Staley
3:35just allowing them to gash in the running game and then you throw him over top of them. So I guess Hayden to your
3:41qu to my question is this like how good are the Falcons going to be for the next 13 weeks? What is the core of
3:49their principles? What is their foundation with Michael Pennix and with Kevin Sansky and with the Drake London and Bejon of it all?
3:56>> I think they're going to do a lot of the under center play action stuff which was a big kind of question mark with Michael
4:01Penn going back to college. There wasn't there was a little bit more of like kind of uh breaking outside of the pocket.
4:06Couple throws uh a little bit on the move there. He's still going to miss some passes with accuracy. Like there's two balls kind of batted down. There was
4:13a couple missed throws but he wants to push the ball down the field. A lot of the first reads are to Drake London. So,
4:19if they are probably I'd say an average offense. Let's say they're around 16th in scoring moving forward. But if it's literally just three guys because Kyle
4:26Pittz is not part of the equation at all. He's like not even playing full-time snaps at this point. Uh they don't have to be a top 10 offense for
4:33Drake London to be a top five fantasy wide receiver for Bejon to pay off the second overall pick. And then for
4:37someone like Brian Robinson probably to be like a low-end flex play the last two weeks 5.9 and 12.7 expected points. He's
4:45not like always subbing in for the goal line role. if he's out there, they'll just keep him out there. Uh, but they
4:50were giving him touches in the first half of the game to keep Bejon fresh.
4:54You don't want to give Bejun 30 touches per game to Matt's point there. So, yeah, I think Brian Robinson probably like a version of Blake Cororum, not all
5:01the way up to Kyle Manungai, but if you had to in by-weeks throw him out there as a flex, there's definitely worse as
5:07we get to the the peak of inj uh of injuries and by-weeks.
5:12The under center stuff is pretty nuts for Michael Pennix because this was not what he did in college. It's not what he
5:17did um over the course of his first couple years in the in the NFL. He had six >> six pass attempts under center play
5:26action in the first two years of his uh career combined. He had six against the Packers. He had eight uh play a or under
5:32center attempts last night. It's totally different uh in terms of the Michael Penn of it all, which is really encouraging to see because I mean you
5:41could kind of tell yourself a story where is was Tua a better fit in the off season for what Kevin Stfansky would
5:47want to do? Um that's he's not a good fit for anybody. Michael Pennix has been the guy while coming off the these ACL
5:52tears. It's it's pretty outrageous. So huge hat tip to him. And to your point, Hayden, two of two for 68 yards on post
6:01routes against the Saints last night, including to uh my boy Jan Dodson who had a very nice little route on that
6:06touchdown there. So, yeah, it's it's a very concentrated offense. Drake London is good at those big crossers, the overs, the posts, and this is what
6:13Michael Penn did with like Roma Dunes in college would just he was more out of the gun for sure, but it was a lot of
6:19those passes on the big breaking routes to Rome to Jaylen Pulk. So, that part of it is within Michael Penn's bag. Even
6:26if, yes, there's no doubt he will always be a little bit of a spray quarterback.
6:31>> Okay. The teams that are going to slow down this offense, one, it is at least slowing down the running game. Now,
6:38that's tough because, as you, Matt, you pointed out uh how good the offensive line has been. And it's not just the run
6:44blocking, it's the pass protection. And that kind of leads me to my second point where right now Michael Pennix is kind
6:50of like in his own area code in terms of over 65% of his passes and drop backs are clean. There is no pressure out
6:59there. And we have seen Penn be a very different quarterback when pressure and win not. Obviously every single quarterback is worse, but I I think his
7:05kind of falls off a cliff in comparison to others. And so again, easier said than done, but if you slow down the
7:11running game and you get pressure on the quarterback and cover more outside and force him to throw their middle, that is
7:16not where he wants to throw the football. So to me, if there are some areas of still questions and weakness, because again, these last two games uh
7:25have been some of the easiest defenses that he'll face all season long based on the status of of some of the players
7:30that are injured for them. With that said, Hayden, I I look at their schedule and it's the Ravens and the Bears over
7:37the next two weeks. They might not have to face the starting quarterback for either of those teams. So, three weeks ago, those look like difficult
7:44opponents. And now they're two and a half point favorites, I believe, against the the Ravens here in week five. And then Caleb Williams might not be back
7:51for the Bears after that.
7:54My go my kind of philosophy with the NFC South is don't get confident in any of these teams because just when you start
8:00taking the bait it just flips on your head. So you know just I I would be one foot in one foot out.
8:06>> Yeah. Final note on this just the cow pits of it all. Uh I mean this is the definition of no block no rock when the
8:13Bejian Robinson and Brian Robinson stuff is so important. Uh this is also at what year six for cow pits. for five. It's
8:20been three offensive coordinators kind of wondering what to do with him and then it's getting to this point and he's just kind of who he is, you know, and
8:27he's even different than like Harold Fannon who was a good player for Kevin Sansky last year. Okay, Matt, I'm going to lead off with you on the next team.
8:35This is the New Orleans Saints. Okay, cuz they're in a tough cycle right now where they not only start games slow,
8:43they start drive slow. And it can be fun and exciting and peak when it's third and 15 and they have this wonderful
8:51conversion, but that is not the world you want to live in.
8:55>> I I don't really know what this team is supposed to do because their run game is just so brutal right now. They cannot
9:00get on track from a rush game perspective. Um that Alvin Camera performance was one of the more shameful good fantasy games you're ever going to
9:07see. That's just disgusting. Uh cuz that was by no means a good performance from a running back. Obviously, he's still useful as a receiver, but I think this
9:16team is going to become even more of the Bizarro version of itself, which is just really high pass rate. They're going to
9:22be dropping back a ton. They're going to run a ton of plays. So, you can kind I mean, look at this. Look at this rushing
9:27chart. This is just ridiculous.
9:29>> Jerome Pettisesque.
9:31>> Seriously. Um, just what a funny end to Alvin Chimera's team uh time with this team. But anyways, yeah, I I don't
9:38really know what they're supposed to do.
9:39I don't think they have a solution at the running back position and they're dealing with offensive line injuries which you can certainly feel when you
9:45get in these positions where Tyler Shuck is getting folded in half in very obvious pass situations. That makes me nervous about him. But he's definitely
9:53willing to sit there and take a big hit.
9:56But this is going to consistently be a team that's in third and long situations. Their defense is problematic to your point, Josh. They're they play
10:02super soft. They just allowed the Falcons to run all over them. So yeah, I mean I I like a lot of elements of the
10:08passing game, but the fact that they cannot consistently get on base as a rushing team is going to put them in
10:14these positions where they have to kind of drop behind enemy lines and shoot their way out of problems.
10:20>> Their backup left tackle has a 15% pressure rate allowed, which is among the worst in the NFL, and Banks is not
10:26going to be back for a very, very long time. Uh so with Alvin Chimera, uh he had 13.9 expected half PPR points. That
10:33makes him the RB8 last week. That was just on the seven carries. He was out there on the plays before those goal
10:39line attempts. So, it's not like they were subbing him in. I do think that Kendry Miller like could still be a
10:43factor in at the goal line. Uh Kendrick Miller did have a really inex in inexcusable fumble uh in this one earlier in the game. Uh but at the same
10:51time, Chimera is not playing in passing situations all the time. They still they're still using that CJ Donaldson kid uh on top of it. So, I think he's
10:59going to be like a flex play um because he's going to catch, you know, four or five passes just because how much they
11:04drop back and he is a goal line option for them. Uh but if you can sell high on Alvin Chimera with the state of their
11:09offensive line right now, uh I think that's probably the smart play, especially when they got the Minnesota Vikings, like all these issues that
11:15we're talking about not being able to run the ball, uh and then just all the pressure that they're under that just
11:20gets tripled when you're facing Minnesota. So, I would say kind of sell high and Alvin Chimera and probably same thing for Jawan Johnson. Um, but they
11:28still got Chris Olive and I think that's gonna keep him afloat.
11:32>> Yeah, I'm a bit nervous that this thing's gonna spiral a little bit. Like Troy Aman's comments really stood out to
11:37me that quote Brandon Sy just doesn't have the answers for the Falcons offense and I think he knew that when he talked
11:43to us earlier in the week. Now Aman tagged that by saying he didn't exactly say that to us, but maybe it was his
11:50tone or some of the words that he used or like, "Oh man, we really miss those edge rushers and defensive linemen that
11:54are out." Yeah. Yeah, I mean if one if you can't stop the run defensively the NFL right now that's the easy button,
12:00you know, and these teams are just going to run out the clock long drives and then throw it over your head. And then
12:05on the opposite end, if you can't run the ball offensively and you get behind the chains and just anecdotally a low
12:11success rate team while they are spectacular in third and 13 and third and 17 situations, uh you can't live there. Like you just can't do it. And on
12:21top of this, I don't want to jump to the end point, but Kell Moore has now lost three straight to the Atlanta Falcons
12:29down there. Like that's their biggest rival. And that will quicken how long he has in New Orleans, you know, Matt. And
12:34so I don't want to put him on the clock already, but uh >> how this thing is going, it's kind of
12:39some unfixable problems they have at this moment.
12:43>> Luckily, I do think it's a good coaching staff that can solve some of these problems. And a guy like Donaldson might
12:49even end up playing more snaps because of his ability to pass protect, which even just underlines Hayden's point about Chimera being a good sell high. I
12:57wonder if they do eventually get into more of these heavy personnel groups to try to account for the fact that they
13:03have all these offensive line injuries.
13:05And during Kell Moore's time with the Cowboys, there were moments where they flirted with that. You just never really fully got into it because it's like the
13:11Mike McCarthy of it all, the Kell Moore of it all. There was a lot of kind of multiple cooks in the kitchen there. Um,
13:16I think it's a good staff. I think they're a smart group. I think they can probably try to troubleshoot this, but
13:21if they don't, man, it is going to continue to be just Chris Olive and Devon Veil. Like, can we talk about Vale
13:26for a second? He leads the NFL. He leads the NFL in routes this year. 182 routes, which >> here, even if you stink, you're going to
13:34be like in fantasy consideration if you're running 182 routes so far on the season. Chris Olav is number two. Bryce Lance is number seven. They tried to
13:42make Bryce Lance happen at times. I don't even know if it was an intentional or they're just Shuck is throwing it up
13:48and seeing what happens. But Ve is a pretty good player, man. Um I know he was an easy punchline because he was an
13:54older player and they traded a fourth round pick for him or whatever, but they've had a clear vision for him since
13:59he got there. He's a big slot type. He gives some effort in the run game. Solid zone beater, I would say, is Devon Veil.
14:07He knows the spots to settle down, especially can get some good leverage on outbreakers. But there's also times where it's just, and again, this is
14:14going to continue to happen with the state of the offensive line, at least like three or so completions in this last game. Shuck hits the top of his
14:22drop back and just slant to Devon Veil right away. And some of those are, you know, press man coverage wins, too. It's
14:29the Falcons, you know, the DB, they they got injuries in the DB room, but um still, I think Dale is a nice player
14:35that pretty much every time I'm going to log into my wide receiver rankings, I'm going to move him up to like wide
14:39receiver 30 or so. He's kind of a flex player at this point.
14:44>> The numbers are on him. He's the wide receiver 21 on wide receiver 13 usage this season. He was a full-time player
14:50in week 12 last year. If you look at that split till now, he's the wide receiver 22. So that's a pretty big
14:56sample, eight games where he's been very fantasy relevant. And it really is just like it's it's the amount of snaps that
15:02he's out there for. the big catch radius does come into play like third and fours like like you said Matt like they'll
15:08throw it right at the numbers or or right at the the sticks and he's a big body because that can kind of bang and
15:13then also you have the the big kind of toetapping plays in the end zone over there. So I'm treating him as real until
15:19Jordan Tyson comes back and the reports make it seem like that's probably going to be week nine.
15:24>> Yeah, week week nine is what Adam Shfter alluded to again. and he can come back sooner than that, but based on when
15:30their bye-week is and how they slow played Jordan Tyson coming out of the draft process as well, you and I have
15:35always pointed to to week nine for that.
15:36So, I guess Matt, that leads me to this question. As Hayden said, he's around the wide receiver 21 right now. Is this
15:42a a sell high window knowing that we have about four weeks left of him being, you know, the second wide receiver for
15:47this team. I'll caveat that by saying that the Saints are number two in the NFL in terms of utilizing 11 personnel
15:53around 74% of the time.
15:56Yeah, we're going to have to get closer to the Tyson news for me to consider him a sell high. And I think, you know, as
16:02we're seeing here, he's still weeks away. They have a week eight buy. Um the Vikings this week, there's going to be
16:07some opportunities to get those quick slants in his hand. Um the Giants, we'll talk about Michael Wilson later. A lot of those type of moments for him, too.
16:15Uh the Steelers run a lot of zone, so he'll he'll have moments here. I think he's gonna, like I said, every week wide
16:21receiver three that you can throw out there. And yeah, great point uh Hayden about the the the catch radius for him.
16:26He has 90th percentile uh arm length coming into the league according to mock draftable and you see that consistently like he catches the ball away from his
16:33frame just real clean stuff. So I'm I'm not going to call him a sell high for at least another three or so weeks here.
16:40>> Well Hayden, can I ask you if Jawan Johnson is a sell high? I mean the thing is with maybe my pessimism about the
16:46trajectory of the Saints at this moment, maybe it's reaction here after last night. They still run so many damn plays that it doesn't matter and all these
16:54guys get home and they're obviously very good at throwing the football. So, they're all great fancy assets. But Jawan Johnson is the tight end four and
17:01he was drafted much closer to the tight end 20.
17:04>> Yeah, but he's the tight end five in expected points. He's been at least the tight end 14 in usage in all four games
17:11this season. So, there's a floor at play. He's played 15 games with Tyler Shuck. He's averaging 10 half PPR points in those, which equates to tight end
17:18seven production. So I I think the reality is no one is trading for Vle and Jawan Johnson. So what you do is you
17:26just play them until we realize they should go to our bench and that will probably happen in about week nine here.
17:33It it's a carnival offense and we should take the drop backs for what they are.
17:36And I think Jawan Johnson and Bealay are just underrated players on tape and you have to be a real film sicko to
17:43understand that. And if you have them, you probably know that and your other league mates probably don't. So, I don't know what we could even trade uh these
17:50guys away for.
17:52>> Awesome points. Okay, if Jawan Johnson was the best value pick at tight end, Hayden, let's talk about the Carolina Panthers. Chuba Hoverard might just be
18:00the best value pick in all of fantasy football. Uh he's a running back eight on the season through four weeks. The
18:07consistency is outrageous. Weeks of running back nine, 10, 12, and seven.
18:12So, so often we talk about the roller coaster at these positions and how you can get like running back 20 week and
18:18then a running back fiveweek. No, Hayden, this is a top 12 guy every game so far this year.
18:25Uh, teams that have Chuba Hubard on them on Yahoo have won 56% of their games.
18:31Uh, no player drafted around him or after him has a higher winning percentage. He has been by far the best sleeper pick out there. I just think
18:38he's one of the best picks. And to me, this one was, I think, kind of easy to see coming. I don't think people realize
18:44that just two years ago, he was a top 15 running back on like really really high usage. Last year, he got banged up, lost
18:51his job because of that, but did gain his job uh by the the the final game of the season. And the Panthers were
18:58showing some signs of life on offense.
19:01So, I think those were going to ride this one to like a top 12 finish the rest of the season here. He's not going
19:05to come off the field very much. But to me, the big reason why Chuba Hubard is all of a sudden smashing in fantasy is
19:11just because Rise Young has been balling. Like it's it's kind of as simple as that. The offensive line has been performing well with like a lot of
19:18kind of moving parts out there. Like I really hope Monroe Freeling is going to end up being all right. But like Bryce
19:25Young is just putting the ball right on the money. He's kind of found that sweet spot of like buying enough time but not
19:31being reliant on that. Some anticipation throws to the numbers right away. And then when you got T-Mac moving the chains, Jaylen Coker moving the chains,
19:38like I I find the Panthers offense to be pretty real. Uh, and I think that we're seeing like a much different version of
19:45Bryce Young. So, credit to Chuba for like playing well. I think he's an underrated player, but this offense is rolling because of the quarterback right
19:52now and the top two pass catchers. Uh, and all these guys are just going to be complete ballers in fantasy the rest of
19:57the year.
19:58>> Matt, I'm in like year five of doing this show with Hayden. Uh, if you told me three years ago I would hear those
20:03words out of Hayden Wings's mouth, uh, I you would have told me I'm dreaming, you know. So, Matt, that was poetic. I
20:09absolutely love it.
20:11>> We can all grow, right? We can all uh except Bryce Young can't grow any taller, but >> he can grow as a quarterback.
20:17>> Okay.
20:18>> Yes, we're back. We're back.
20:20>> I said I said he can grow as a quarterback, and he clearly has, you know. Um, also by the way, just not to
20:26I'm not I'm not taking anything away from Bryce Young, but over the course of Canales's tenure here with the team, I've always really liked the design of
20:35the offense, but it always just felt like something was missing. Like there was just a t there was a I know not it's
20:40not that's not perfect, Josh. Not perfect, but like especially in the run game. I mean, you you know this like Canalis is a run game sicko. They have
20:46Harold Goodwin on the staff and they run a really diverse run game. There's there's a lot of there's a lot of inside
20:51zone, outside zone. They'll do some crack toss stuff. It's a And Chuba is just good at everything. Like he's just a even calling him a steady Eddie back
21:00feels disrespectful. So he can run all the concepts. You can put a ton on his plate, which is what they've done so
21:06far. Probably not changing anytime soon.
21:08Pass pro. He's just he's maybe Matt Rule's best draft pick. I don't know.
21:13Hard to say. Uh with the team, but um bringing up all the skeletons in the closet here tonight. Josh, >> his wife wanted to make that selection
21:19by the way. That that was his wife's pick. Not even his, but let's >> we can't even give Matt real credit for
21:23that. But yes, that's right. Uh she did call that one in there. But no, I mean to the to the point though, I has just
21:31pushed the right dials here to in the right directions. Uh you're seeing a ton of stuff like downfield now to these big
21:37ass wide receivers on the outside. Um sale concepts, stuff over the middle of the field, getting Tedo McMillan, committing to the slot with him, too.
21:45And yeah, Bryce has just been great. I have I have no negative notes uh on Bryce so far. He's been fantastic under
21:52pressure and I've I've always been like not as Bryce positive as you, Josh. Like I haven't sent 10 tweets about him since
21:58Sunday like you have, but um I definitely >> It's way more.
22:02>> It's way more.
22:04>> Maybe I'll shoot I' I've been Bryce positive. Maybe not as positive as you, but like I've been open to Bryce.
22:10>> Okay. Well, we'll welcome you if you want. I mean, the barrier of entry is like three and a half tweets per day if
22:16you want. Um, look on the Bradic note here.
22:19>> So, this has been the timeline of Bryce Young, okay? The first year that was a disaster of a roster. I mean, I went
22:26back and looked at some of the depth charts that he had during his rookie season. If you just look at the week 13
22:32games, so we're not even talking about like true end of season, like the heart of the year. Uh, five of those players
22:38are just totally out of the league, not by their choice. One is Adam Thelen, two is Jonathan Mingo, who has seven catches
22:44since being traded. Ian Thomas has 24 catches in four seasons and then you just have like DJ Chart, Bradley Boseman, Nash Jensen, Justin McCrae, all
22:52these folks. Okay. And so after that, Dave Canales comes in and that is just to stabilize this situation. Okay. And sure, Bryce was horrible in those first
23:02two weeks. There was no good tape out there, but they stabilized him once he was able to come back in and grow some
23:08confidence. But Matt, the point that you made to me, why I put more stock into what is happening in these four games
23:15than I do like the first two seasons of Bryce Young is one, this offense is built for him and it's catered to him
23:23and two, he's like finally surrounded by talent. Like that second season, it was still Adam Thelen and then Deonte Johnson who quit on the team and refused
23:30to practice, you know. And so what we got towards the second half of last year including the playoffs and including upsetting some big teams was Tedo
23:38McMillan, Jaylen Coker and some really good concepts and what's been dialed up under Bradz now is someone who is on the
23:46same page with his quarterback and is like pulling every lever like every lever is out there for him to push the
23:53buttons for. Like we always talk about certain teams and certain play callers being experts or masters in one thing.
24:00He's almost league average in just about everything. You know, in terms of personnel groupings, it's 14th, 8th, and 12th from 11, 12, and 13. Shifted motion
24:09rate right at league average. Under center rate, right at league average, shotgun rate, empty rate, right at league average, basically 3x one, two by
24:16two, that's 18th and seventh across the league. So, it it's showing, I think, a lot of different looks out there, but
24:23running very similar concepts out of it.
24:25And to me, some of those offenses that do that are my favorites across the league, Kate.
24:31>> Yeah. He's almost averaging like nine uh yards uh uh per throw. Um so they're pushing the ball down the field. Like
24:38that's a really high number. And that's I think the best of Bryce like when he's playing on time, making a decision pre-
24:43snap and just firing the ball. He's always been very accurate, you know, and the the catch radius by his receivers is
24:49like doubled. Uh and that's really helped him out. But I I do think that a lot of this is just Bryce's growth as
24:55just feeling comfortable in the pocket and knowing when to buy some time and when to just throw it right away. Um so
25:02I think that there is an element of growth individually from him, but you know it really helps when you have someone like Tyrone McMill to throw the
25:07ball to too.
25:09>> It kind of reminds me of the dynamic that Ben Johnson and um Jared Goff had where just you feel these two guys are
25:16in sync play caller and quarterback. And again, Jared Goff is first overall pick, Bryce Young's first overall pick, but I still think we'd all say they have some
25:23physical deficiencies and limitations, whether it comes to movement or for Bryce, obviously we know what that is, arm strength, the whole deal. But I
25:29mean, these two guys just again, it's constantly in sync. So, it's the same sort of to your point, Josh, balanced, sound, well constructed offense, but you
25:39just got the guy now pushing the right levers and the right buttons here. So, I I'm I'm really high on this. I think
25:45this is very sustainable. And I mean, yeah, you bring up the name DJ Char. I It drove me crazy. I It drove me crazy.
25:51You probably clearly crazier, Josh, but how many people are like, "Well, he runs a 4-3." I'm like, "Dude, he ran a 4-3 a
25:56long time ago." He had been run a 4-3 in quite some time. Now they've got two guys who can legit play exce.
26:06So, yeah, I'm I'm buying Bryce Young as a fantasy starter at the quarterback position. Yeah, I mean to me it's pretty
26:13incredible that he has faced more quick pressures than any other quarterback in the NFL and he still leads the NFL in
26:20passing yards. He, you know, is first with 13 completions of 25 plus yards, first with 55 completions of 10 plus yards. Like just imagine what he would
26:30look like if his offensive line gave him even more time, you know, gave him more space. again, he is on an island by
26:36himself in terms of passes and attempts that are from clean pockets and it's the opposite direction of like what Michael Penn is doing. So hopefully that can
26:46improve as a season goes along if maybe Taylor Motton comes back and they can move from Freeling back to left tackle
26:52or Damen Lewis comes back at left guard.
26:54They're dealing with all these injuries so the by-week comes at the right time.
26:57But I mean this is a player who's on a freaking heater. Um Hayden, where would you rank Bryce Young in terms of quarterbacks this year?
27:08>> Like for fantasy or real life, just in general?
27:10>> Real life.
27:10>> Like I mean both.
27:12>> Yeah. I mean he's Yeah. Yeah. He's been I mean without question a top a top five to 10 quarterback. I'm not sure if it's
27:18still sustainable like that. But yeah, I think this is the best this is the best he's played, you know, by far.
27:24>> Yeah. I hope Jaylen Koker comes back after the buy totally healthy because that brings us to another level. Okay, let's talk about the Detroit Lions,
27:33their opposition on Sunday night.
27:37Matt Sam Leaporta is the tight end five on the season. Ammon Ross St. Brown is the wide receiver five. Jir Gibbs at the
27:43running back one. And Jameson Williams is the wide receiver 45. Is that going to sustain itself? You think?
27:52>> I think JMO will go up after some more positive games, but you know, it's always going to be a roller coaster.
27:58He's sixth in routes. Amar Ros Brown is tied with Tedo McMillan for fourth in routes. This is another team that I
28:04think is just going to have to lean extremely pass heavy because of their defense and just the state of the roster
28:10right now. I actually wonder how many more remember when Jir Gibbs had like 30 plus touches in in week one. I wonder
28:16how many more of those games are are on our on our radar just because >> I don't know if if they're going to be
28:21able to consistently establish a rushing game um at this point of the proceedings because they are just going to be constantly behind the sticks. I think
28:29the offensive line has been >> would you say it's been a league average unit so far? I I'm not totally sure if I
28:35would say that uh to date. So yeah, I think we know what the L Yeah, I would say probably not. Yeah, the Lions uh we
28:42know what they are in terms of their metronomes are Leaporta and to a greater degree Aman Ross St. Brown. You're going
28:48to ride some variance with Jame Williams and I thought it was at least encouraging to see Isaac Tesla get into the mix because it just gives them I
28:56know it's another mouth to feed for fantasy which is annoying but does allow them to at least uh get him another
29:01vertical element in there to clear space so maybe JMO can run some of those quicker crossers because that hasn't really happened quite yet.
29:08Last week, JMO was the wide receiver 19, wide receiver 20 usage. Um there was like three comeback routes for for uh
29:16for receptions. He had a screen, a quick out, and then that huge Jared Goff uh pass going into halftime. That was an
29:22absolute uh perfectly placed ball there.
29:24So, I thought he was more involved on like, you know, it wasn't all just downfield routes uh for him. Like obviously a large part part of that will
29:32be uh downfield, but he's like staying in the mix. like there's no way that he's going to be this bad. Um he's a
29:39wide receiver 33 in usage and he's performed way worse than that and he's he's somebody that's typically a model dunker. So, and this is not the week to
29:47have any negative Jameson Williams takes at all. It's Lions versus Cardinals.
29:53Neither team has made a stop the entire year and both offenses are able to put 30 points on the board. So, this is a
29:59start everybody week. Uh and that includes Jameson Williams. Yeah, I mean he faced off against a Caleb Evans on almost every single one of his targets,
30:06it felt like. And maybe he's getting his clone against the Arizona Cardinals this week, too. So, it it feels like maybe we
30:13can equal what Jameson Williams put out there last week. I honestly don't have that many notes here about the Lions because you're you're starting everyone
30:19else. I will say with Brad Holmes, he was on a heater when it came to building the roster and kind of going against
30:25consensus and all this type of stuff.
30:27They are going to get Brian Branch and Cade Mays back hopefully somewhat soon.
30:30they've opened their practice windows and those are two necessary players at safety and at center. Um I will say with the secondary I think Brad Holmes has
30:38had some rotten luck here like Brian Branch being injured obviously Kirby Joseph and his career might be over.
30:46Those were two impactful starters for you at the safety spot and then you know I don't think Brad Holmes could have
30:50predicted that Tyrion Arnold would get caught up in an alleged kidnapping uh and you know his career go down the drain too. So, like those are three
30:58lynch pins of your defensive back groups, three of the five or three of the four. And uh Matt, they haven't played a single snap for you this
31:06season.
31:07>> They cannot pass routes off in zone coverage either. It's so bad. Like just the communication on because they want to be a man coverage heavy team, but
31:14they they do not have the talent for that at this point. So, they're just completely lost in the wilderness from a
31:20secondary standpoint. But yeah, you consistently see guys there's no communication on the back end. It's like you're supposed to be here. It's just
31:26the passing off the routes is going to be a huge issue. So, uh yeah, this is as Hayden said, a get everybody in the pool
31:33uh type of game here. Lions and Cardinals.
31:36>> Josh, I got one quick note on Sam Leaporta. Uh last week, 23.6 expected half PPR points were the most by a tight
31:42end the entire season. He's the tight end three in usage on the entire season.
31:46They're dropping back like crazy. We know he's a good football player. And what was unique about him is down in the
31:52red zone they were doing three by one sets where he was the isolated receiver on the right side and they were throwing
31:57the ball to him. There was a fourth and five in cut for a for first read first down as well. Um so they're they're
32:03using him a a lot differently than a lot of the other tight ends out there and like this is an offense that's
32:09consistently worth or 30 points per game in in terms of team total. So, you know, I think he versus like George KD for
32:16tight end three the rest of the the season. To me, that's like very live.
32:20And I think that he was one of the best picks you could have be making as all the wide receivers and running backs
32:24kind of busted in that kind of like round six to round eight range. I think that Sam Leaport is like the guy that's
32:29kind of sticking out over everybody else.
32:31>> Oh, I love it. Hayden, you know, we talked about all summer long. I put out way too many tweets on that that this is
32:35the Norf Turner, Kevin Sfansky, Drew Petting, right? And the two quarterbacks that or three I should say that targeted Titans the most over the last two
32:45seasons were Drew Petting and Kevin Stfansy's quarterbacks. So it's not surprising at all to me that >> uh obviously Sam Leaport is getting
32:52involved here and hopefully it's more and more or just steady at this same exact point. All right, we have a lot
32:57more teams to go but first let's hear from our sponsor.

33:52Let's talk the Arizona Cardinals. Hey, there's only one place to start. This is Jeremiah Love. We know in the opening two games 32 and 30 snaps. Then the 55
34:02we wereo all expecting, you know, and hoping for uh and thought that that would continue. Now drops down to 30 snaps and barely played and actually
34:11didn't in the final 10 minutes of this game. What did you see?
34:14>> Well, unfortunately late in the game there was a handoff of 11 minutes uh remaining and his right ankle got trapped underneath him. He played the
34:23next snap. First of all, he was laying on the ground like just punching the ground. And then the next snap before
34:28the play had he they were in shotgun and he was just kicking his right leg around like trying to get it like loose, I
34:33guess. And then he ran out to the flats like barely move. And that was his last snap of the game. And then we had the
34:38comments after the game saying like, "Oh, this is the longest year of my life." Which, by the way, awesome life he's living. You go third overall. This
34:45is the worst it's going to get. Shout out Jeremiah Love, I guess. But uh that's his right ankle. The preseason was the left ankle. and I didn't like
34:54the way it looked. So, no one's really talking about Tyler Algier as a waiverwire candidate, but I would not be surprised if he has to miss this game.
35:03Now, you just never know because we're not going to get the injury reports until waiverss have already cleared.
35:08But, I did not like the way he got rolled up on and I did not like the way that he looked on the play after that
35:13and I didn't like his comments on top of that. I thought before the his injury he didn't look quite as good as he did um
35:20like like I would say in week one week two a couple spin moves out there but I think there's a couple times turning the
35:24corner where he was like not fully himself and then this is a new injury on top of it. So frustrating for Jeremiah
35:31Love here. Uh but I I do have some worries maybe more than others about week five.
35:37we're way too just um I don't know, maybe myopic is the right way to say it when we talk about player injuries and
35:44when they're coming back from stuff that it's just this consistent ramp up. Uh we'll talk about that actually with our next team too. But sometimes it's ups
35:51and downs, ups and downs until they can get fully back. And I kind of feel like that's how it's been with Jeremiah Love
35:56because yeah, I watched that game back on tape obviously and it just it didn't look quite the same to me. uh just
36:01overall especially once we get to the late portion here and it's been pretty clear also that this team is not going
36:07to view this Jeremiah Love situation in maybe a rational way or the way that we expect where it's hey we took this guy
36:14third overall we're going to give him as much work as possible they're almost thinking about his long-term career here in a in a way I think with the way he's
36:22talked about it you know he's he's a very like we'll just call it like straight up honest guy with how he with
36:28how he speaks and how he communicates It strikes me as honestly pretty similar to the Roma Dunce thing when he talked
36:33about like this is my new normal and everybody freaked out about it and I think there's part of that was he as he
36:38talks about the preservation part of it.
36:40But yeah, it's a good point about Alier, a perfectly solid NFL back. Like if they have to get through a week or two with
36:46him, I think they're I think they're probably fine with that. Yeah, Hayden, you've talked about it a lot in the past
36:51that maybe this new wave of athlete is a bit more open uh about their injuries and maybe what they're feeling and how
36:58they're feeling and all that type of stuff. That's exactly what stood out to me, Matt, after the game. The quote, I
37:03didn't go out there and get hurt anything today. He It's about managing that workload. They keep an eye on me and manage me, keep me up, and I can
37:10finish the season. To your point, Matt, like when we get 26 touches in week three for the third overall pick, we
37:16think, dang, the least we're going to get is 19 20 in any other game this season, and when he drops down to 14,
37:22that's frustrating. But then it kind of tells you maybe the mindset unless there is like a a big injury like you're
37:28talking about potentially, Hayden. Um, yeah, I mean, 10:30 left in the game, there's there's a long time to go and then that final 13play drive to
37:35potentially win the game. There were multiple occasions when Tyler Aler could have come out and there were four plays at the goal line Hayden that if they
37:43wanted to get Jeremiah Love in the game, they simply did not. So that just whole situation stood out to me like it stood
37:49out to you.
37:51>> Yeah, I'm guessing it's injury related.
37:53So we'll we'll we'll figure that part out. Um I I think uh the other big thing is they lost Paris Johnson for the
37:59season with the torn biceps. You know, like >> Chase Bantis was a second rounder. Like I thought that the Cardinals offensive
38:05line was like largely kind of hanging in there, but you know, like you can't lose your star left tackle. Like that's
38:10probably that might be the most valuable player on their entire team. Um, and he's he's not going to be out there for
38:16the rest of the season. So I think like that's another reason to kind of dock everybody. Um, at the same time, Matt,
38:22the Michael Wilson film I think has been really really awesome uh as well. He had that great route at the top of his break
38:28uh for the big sideline catch. Um, and then just to show like how important he is, there was uh late in the game they
38:35were down six points. They're at the five yard line. They targeted Michael Wilson on the first down, the second down, and the fourth down all in a row.
38:43Did it work? It didn't work. None of them. None of them worked. But the fact that they threw him three of the four uh
38:50times with the game on the line just kind of shows you how important Michael Wilson is. Yeah, he kind of got smoked
38:56on the um the pick six uh the route against press man coverage against Deontay Banks, which is maybe not what you want to see, but yeah, the out cut,
39:04the 24 yard uh sale off play action, that was great. Uh that that's what he does really well at the top of the
39:09routes on the breaks there. I also think what's been interesting, too, is I thought this Cardinals team would be very heavy and condensed. Their rate of
39:17heavy plays is actually down this year.
39:19They're pretty spread out. I'd be curious to know their average formation width because I would again I would have thought this is a Rams offense that's
39:26going to be very condensed, very tight.
39:28They've actually really spread it out which might have to do with just what Jacobe Br wants. I don't know if they're
39:33going to be able to continue to get away with that without Paris Johnson because Brassette is a pocket sloth and just
39:38wants to get the ball out really quick.
39:40He's Brassette is turning down a few too many open throws down the field for my liking. But that's Jacob Brouset. That's
39:46what you're that's what you're going to do um at this point. But yeah, I did note too about Michael Wilson. To me, I
39:52think yes, he can do all of the insert stuff, get him detached and and you know, run corner routes through the
40:00through the C gap and all of that fun stuff, but he's I think at his best when you can just stick him outside on ball
40:06and let him win against press man coverage. And because they do spread the field with three eligible receivers, you can have Marv as an X on one side,
40:14Michael Wilson as an outside on ball player with, you know, Kendrick Bourne in the slot and Trey McBride as a detached player. So, they're doing a lot
40:22to cater specifically to Michael Wilson.
40:2430 targets or so over the last two games combined for a guy they gave an extension to. It makes a lot of sense.
40:30Matt, the Cardinals are 32nd in total explosive play rate. Uh 32nd in rushing and 32nd in passing. Is that a Laflor
40:41thing? Is that a Jacob Brassette thing?
40:44Uh they're too talented for to rank that low in both categories.
40:49>> Yeah, I like I said, I think there are some downfield throws that Brassette is just kind of turning down and and opting
40:55for the safe throws, which you know, it's fine. That's why they keep the train on the tracks. But I do think the
41:00coaching staff's going to keep looking at this and saying, "Hey, there's a lot that we're leaving on the bone." I don't
41:04know if that's Carson Beck time at some point. It probably will be. I don't know if he's going to be better at that. But,
41:10uh, yeah, I think it's not all Brassette. There are some other issues there, too. It still feels like we're not totally in sync as an offense just
41:16yet. But, you know, this is they all talk about this like Trey McBride is really good at those underneath routes, the stick stuff, and then Michael Wilson
41:24can run these quick slants and stop routes, which again they lean into more because of his current deployment. So, I it's part of like that's what their two
41:32best players do. Uh, and then it's Marv on the longer slow developing route. Do you do either of you guys have the
41:38stones to start against Lions defense >> this week? Not not I picked Marvin and Harrison up in the expert league. I can
41:46guarantee it. I am starting him in the expert league uh because of some by-weeks and injuries that I've been going through. Um what a wild game it
41:53was for Marv this last game. I I mean I'm I'm here for the roller coaster.
41:57Last week's roller coaster was pretty insane. Obviously had that like nice ball tracking fade touchdown. He did draw two defensive pass interference.
42:05One like near the goal line, one actually in the end zone. Uh so that those were nice moments for him. Uh, and
42:11then at the same time, like he also got, you know, I think pretty bodied on that little uh quick slant uh in the end zone
42:16as well. But that was a lot of involvement near the end zone. I think if you're going to be trying to maximize
42:21Marvin Harrison, I think they realize what they have with him. He's like he needs to do like a DeAndre Hopkins kind
42:27of impression, like a late career DeAndre Hopkins impression and kind of win in contested catch moments, get at the top of your route and make a quick
42:34cut. I don't think there's going to be like long-term separation from him. So, I do think in the red area, especially
42:38if they can't run the ball, uh I do think that Marv's just going to have some like opportunities down in the red
42:44zone. So, you know, I I would understand picking him up ahead of this matchup because I think this could be his best
42:50uh game of the season.
42:52>> Yeah, the spreadsheets say again that the Cardinals are the least explosive offense and that the Lions are the defense that's worst at preventing
42:59explosives. So, we'll see what wins here.
43:02>> It's got to give >> in this rock fight. Okay. New York Giants are up next. Matt, I care most about Malik Neighbors. Uh, this is the
43:11player that you were referring to in terms of coming back from injury that we've had some ups and some downs. What
43:17was this game?
43:18I mean, yeah, this was obviously an up moment for Malik Neighbors and I felt like an idiot uh talking about concerns
43:24on last week's stats versus film. Watch even just watching him on Sunday. I'm like, yeah, he looks he looks great and
43:31this is where it's going to be for a guy like this where it's the ups and the downs. He's even talked about this. Some
43:35of it's mental, too, cuz I thought week one, I would probably give it a a B relative to context. If we're talking
43:43about the film, uh I would say then the Titans game before that was definitely definitely a lower graded game than a B
43:50if we're ballparking it. This I thought was the best he's looked all season, especially getting separation on the downfield stuff. And even just also even
43:58when he I mean the one catch like he's doesn't even have a ton of separation there but he just dunks on the corner
44:03because he's Malik Neighbors and he can do that stuff. I still don't think Jamus looks any good either.
44:09>> He looks horrible.
44:11>> Horrible.
44:12>> He looks horrible. Um but still Neighbors is giving you both uh the separation moments and also the wide catch radius. So I thought for sure this
44:20is the best I've seen from him so far this season.
44:24>> Yeah, totally agree. that like circus route that you see on the left side there. That was an awesome route by him.
44:28And then there was a a little hitch route where he broke two tackles and I think that was also fairly encouraging.
44:33But on the Jamus front, I think we can be honest about, you know, that that was a lollipop that he threw to to Malik
44:41Neighbors down there.
44:42>> Contested catch so bad. It was up in the air for seconds. It was a punt. It was a punt.
44:46>> That was as high as I've seen a pass.
44:49Uh, and I just thought there was other moments like Isaiah likely throwing the ball into coverage or just missing by Isaiah likely by like five yards. There
44:58was, I think, some really wonky decision-m and obviously James like never going to be a creator like out of structure. So, you know, it was good
45:05that these guys got home like likely got a bunch of targets. He he held the line there. Obviously, the best Malik
45:11Neighbors performance of the season. Um, so Jameson's James is going to give his guys chances, but I can't say that the
45:18ball is leaving his hands with a lot of confidence or momentum. Um, so that makes me nervous. I >> I'll take it up a level. His arm is
45:26shot. His arm is done. And on top of this, he plays too late. He was out of rhythm. He was waiting a tick too long.
45:35And then with his arm strength being down, that led to pass breakups. and the inaccuracy, the bad placement also destroyed some yards after the catch
45:45moments. He escaped some sacks. I don't think he's going to be escaping those all season long. They face the Arizona Cardinals who are 31st in terms of
45:53allowing explosive plays. A better defense would have made Jameus Winston look a lot worse in this game. So, that gives me confidence. Like I I saw the
46:01box score. It looked like we got our old Jameus back. We kind of did in terms of the areas of where he was throwing the
46:06football. But Matt, like this does not leave me with confidence that this styling of an offense that sure on paper is aired out Jamus is going to work
46:16against average and especially not good defenses. And it still leads me to the point that we're going to see JJ McCarthy starts this year whether you
46:24like it or not.
46:25>> Yeah, mentally prepare yourself for that. Spiritually prepare yourself for that because that is definitely coming.
46:30And there was another play in this game too where um you know Jamus because you said he's going to give guys chances.
46:34He's going to live by the sword. is going to die by the sword. Um where he throws it up there, Malik Neighbors
46:39comes down hard on that shoulder and I thought, "Oh boy, here we go." Um that's still going to be lingering in the back
46:44of my mind that at some point um that he could just get to a point where he needs to get surgery on that thing if the
46:49Giants are bad enough. The good news is they're they're three and one. You know, they're they're as long as they keep
46:54winning uh that's going to keep Malik Neighbors out there. The Giants run game, by the way, not good at all. um
47:0032nd in the average of the efficiency metrics if you look at like explosive run rate, success rate, EPA just on running back runs. So um Cam Scott's got
47:09to continue to score touchdowns to be in the fantasy lineups because it's it's that the run game has been disappointing to me so far. I thought it would be a
47:16little bit better than that.
47:18>> I thought Cam Sc had a really bad game just like not finding the right holes on tape. There was a couple like unblocked
47:24guys that were hitting him as well. He he always seeks contact and that's what that's what it is. It was a wild game
47:29though that Naji Harris was getting snaps early in the game and then uh Naji Harris uh has a fumble uh in the game
47:38and then they don't go back to him. He was benched for the last like 10 minutes. But Naji Harris also had a
47:44moment where Scataboo was on the field as a touchdown to Theo Johnson. They're going for two and they sub Naji Harris
47:51in for that. So like that's not what you want to see for Cam Scato that they're choosing to sub Naji Harrison who ran
47:57the ball in for that two-point conversion. So that makes me nervous.
48:00And then you have the Naji Harris fumbles and he's benched the rem the rest of the game. So like as I go into
48:04week five here, what the exact Cam Scataboo Naji Harris split is is like I think a total mystery. Um but I'm
48:11starting to view Cam Scaboo closer to like you know running back 25 than running back like 16 where I thought for
48:16a second there like we might like back door way into like too much volume. Now I feel like a little bit more suspect of
48:21that.
48:22I mean, he is the definition of a roller coaster at the running back spot. His week so far, running back 15, then
48:28running back 31 against the Rams, running back 17, then running back 35 against the Cardinals. Hayden, now he gets the Washington Commanders who have
48:37been somewhat tough stopping the run because of Donte Jones and how he, you know, muddies the fronts. It's the New Orleans Saints. So, I think we can pick
48:43our spots here a little bit. And then the Houston Texans after that. So again, I I think this might be a bit
48:49straightforward in how to play Cam Scataboo in your fantasy lineups.
48:54>> Okay, Newton Patriots are next. Again, tale of three games and then one, especially for Drake May. I mean, Hayden, he opened the season as
49:04quarterback 23, 25, 32, and then finishes week four as quarterback one.
49:10So overall, is you know, the problem solved? Like what what worked here for Drake May and the Patriots passing offense?
49:17First of all, Drake May played much better in that he was running around like on time, which he typically does.
49:24Um, and then he just made more throws in this one. The and then he got more support from his uh pass catchers as
49:30well. Romeo Dobs made a couple awesome plays at the catch point, including on his skinny post, one-handed fade route for a touchdown. Uh, when Effton Chisum
49:38is making one-handed plays 25 yards down the field for touchdowns, that's when you know things are looking a little bit better. I will say there's still just
49:45some issues from the Patriots offense.
49:48Just watching them. I thought individually the offensive line didn't play that well, including the backup right guard. It seems like they're still
49:55kind of not fully hiding Will Campbell, but they're definitely making sure Will Campbell is not completely left on Islands. And there were some times where
50:01I thought May was under pressure a little bit. You still have like the the Drake May throws the ball low that gets
50:07just batted up for uh for an interception to to Romeo Dobs there. So, it was not a perfect game, but when you
50:14can rush for 54 yards per game and your guys start making plays, like that was like the the difference in this one. So,
50:20I would not say fixed. We're not back for Drake May. Um, but at least, you know, like Romeo Dobs like being out
50:27there for full-time snaps and like running a couple more inbreing routes here than he was earlier in the season.
50:32I think that was probably the most encouraging part uh heading into week five.
50:37Yeah, you've got the one vertical shot for Dobs, who still even in this game ran a go route on 27% of his routes,
50:44which that's just the way this offense is, Hayden. It's very static. It's They don't do a lot of uh eye candy. They
50:51don't put defenders in conflict. It's nothing is just disgusting. It's just very kind of middle of the road. I I think this is a bad team beater offense.
51:00You know, when you look at the schedule so far, Seahawks, they get crushed. P uh Steelers, they win 20 to three, but I
51:07mean, they're not a good they're not a good offense in that game. Jacksonville week three is low-key a really good defense. Uh and the Bills might be a
51:15low-key bad defense uh here in week four. So, it kind of follows the trend.
51:19And then they get the Raiders, the Jets, the Bears, which might be a better defense than we think, and then the the
51:24Dolphins in week eight. So, it kind of feels to me that's how you pick your spots uh with the with the Patriots
51:31offense is good bad defenses. I think they have enough to put those teams in a bind, but the good defenses, especially
51:39when you get some of these like quarters coverages, they don't they don't really threaten you consistently there. But definitely nice to see Romeo Dobs have
51:45some of the outcuts where he was really really productive uh with the Packers in 2025. That's where you kind of want to
51:51use him. So hopefully they're they're gaining some grasp of the personnel. I mean, I don't I don't mean to be mean,
51:57but Matt Collins, you know, maybe not being on the field for the next few weeks, I I think actually might be a net
52:02positive for the offense.
52:04>> I've also kind of forgotten that AJ Brown will eventually come back. I mean, who knows what he's going to be, you
52:09know, off this high ankle sprain and all of that stuff, but I do wonder, like you said, Matt, in the next three, four
52:15weeks where it's the Bears and the Dolphins and the Packers, like the Dolphins and Packers defenses, you can throw all over them. So, uh,
52:24>> yes. I mean, and and the schedule team might, you know, get the schedule coming up here. Let's put that way. Yeah. Yeah,
52:30I thought played really well against Maxwell Haristen, who's kind of on my radar.
52:33>> Yes.
52:34>> The quarterback spot and a lot on offensive coordinators radars, that's for sure. Hey, any closing thoughts on the running back spot before we need to
52:42move on?
52:43>> I think the answer is you didn't want either of them. You know, if one of them gets hurt, then you're going to be just
52:48fine here. But Raandre Stevenson uh was the RB22 in usage last week. He's been the RB35 in usage in the three games
52:56with uh with Trayvon Henderson. So like that's not really moving the needle. And then Trayvon's been the running back 44 in usage this season. If you include the
53:0421 games with Raander Stevenson, including last year, he's the running back 49 in usage. Like he he's been this close to hitting some big plays. I think
53:12they're using him a little bit better uh now. But like neither of them are getting enough volume for like to be
53:19must starts right now. I think that you have to just take the goal line usage at face value for Raandra and rank them
53:24higher. But uh neither of them are going to be good fifth, sixth, seventh round picks.
53:29>> I'm seeing that uh Doug Kayed who's covered the team forever said that um Jamal Williams worked out for the team
53:35today. So that's where they're at at the running back position.
53:38>> Shout out Doug's the man by the way.
53:40Yeah. I mean, this is almost similar to the Denver Broncos, albeit like the talents are a level above, >> I think,
53:48>> but it's kind of the same thing that it has to be one of them in order for one of them to be fantasy relevant.
53:54>> Okay, let's talk Minnesota Vikings. And Hayden, I'm going to send this one right back to you. I I talked about it on
54:02Sunday night, but we're through four games, you know what, seven quarters of Kyler Murray playing football and they're 4-0 and yet I can't
54:13tell you if the passing game is actually going to get figured out. Hayden, what do you see on the tape in the all 22 of
54:19Kyler Murray if he looked comfortable or not in this offense?
54:23>> I thought there was a couple turndowns.
54:25There was one to Jordan Addison on a big dig route. Um, and these kind of intermediate to deep pass pass pass
54:32concepts for the Vikings. It there's really nowhere else to go. Like they're going to have a lot of people in protection. They're going to have two
54:40guys in the route. And if you don't turn or if you if you turn down that throw, then like that's going to be a sack. So
54:47there was one moment of that. Jordan Addison also had he actually did throw this one, but this one was a little bit
54:52high. That goes kind of incomplete.
54:54there is still enough with, you know, like there's a big uh catch on the sideline for Jordan Addison uh that I
55:00think that they're going to be just fine. Um but there's also like individual reps where Jordan Addison just getting shoved off of his route and
55:07like Kyler Murray staring at him and like the play is just kind of over after that as well. So I think some of this
55:13falls on Kyler. I think some of this did fall on uh Jordan Addison at times.
55:18There was a couple um errors I thought from the offensive lineman, but the the way that they moved the ball in this
55:23last game was just like quick throws to TJ Hawinson where he didn't have to read things out. It was just like, "All
55:28right, a little hitch to TJ. Hawkins or like a scene pass where you're not like reading out a defense. You're just like,
55:33"There's the seam ball. I'm just going to throw this like pre- snap." It was a lot more of that than kind of like, you
55:37know, anticip anticipatory throws uh deep and over the middle.
55:43>> This is like the worst version of what you would think it was going to be. Uh, honestly, I mean, everything everything
55:49Hayden described there, I saw the exact same on tape. It's just and this is what this is what Kyler was the last two
55:55years in Arizona is that there were open throws down the field and he turn he turns him down. And then at the Addison
56:00part of it, too. This is who Jordan Addison is. This is who he's always he's going to get pushed off his spot because
56:06he's small and he's not an elite technician. So obviously having Justin Jefferson helps things, but I mean this is against the damn Dolphins defense and
56:14we're still having the worst impulses of both players. That is really problematic. So I mean I I honestly could see TJ Hawinson continuing to be a
56:23scam production again this week if there's no Justin Jefferson and um they got a buy in week six. You would think
56:29that they could hold out Jefferson again and you know it's just going to be peppering a lot of those stick concepts
56:35to TJ Hawinson. But in this offense Yeah. There's not a lot of options out in the route. There's not a lot of
56:41consistent checkdowns, which is I think like a slight to maybe even beyond slight critique to Kevin Oonnell's offense. So, >> it's like the worst impulses of the KOC
56:51offense is the worst impulses of the quarterback and obviously again, no Jess Jefferson, but the worst impulses of the current wide receiver one all combined
56:59to make this I would call it a really bad offensive performance in week four. Well, but this this is the fantasy football conundrum
57:07because the schedule is ever in the Vikings passing offense favor, okay? And rushing. I mean, Aaron Jones, >> take a break just when you need it. Uh,
57:16it's the Saints and then the by-week, then the Colts, and we've seen what S Gardner has been putting out there. Uh,
57:23the Detroit Lions and then the Buffalo Bills who we just spoke about. Like, these are all defenses that cohesive and good offenses should figure out. So
57:33again, they have a bit of a longer leash here because they are 4-0 and they can hopefully figure it out and they have,
57:39you know, the two weeks that Kyler Murray missed and all this type of stuff. But Hayden, if you know, we didn't see it and again, we're only
57:47going by two series in the first quarter, but it's not like Kyler Murray joined a week before the season started, right? That this was all of training
57:53camp that they had together. So, if he's not comfortable in it now, I am a bit concerned if he's ever going to be feel
57:59comfortable in it because he's kind of just regressing into the same bad tendencies that he had in terms of like turning down and and playing hokeyp poke
58:08in the back field. And I almost wish that like TJ Hawinson wasn't as open as he was because that was just an easy
58:14button that he knew was the outlet versus being able to actually being forced to read out the field.
58:21I think we're going to just reach a middle ground between this conversation versus by the end of the season when Justin Jefferson's the primary and like
58:27we're reducing some of these Jordan Addison kind of like first read targets and then also at the same time like Kyler was out there but he was you know
58:34splitting reps for a large part of the offseason as well and he's he spoke that he was frustrated about that. Um yeah, I
58:41think that you know Sam Darnold had some issues in this offense at times and they found explosives. I think that Kyler
58:46Murray will have some games where he's going to find some explosives out there and then you're going to have to live
58:50with some of the critiques that we're talking about that are very real. But I I think those become less exaggerated with more time on task and with Justin
58:57Jefferson in the lineup.
58:59>> They're just effed without Jordan Jeff I mean without Justin Jefferson. I mean Joan Jennings 100% route participation >> just non-existent.
59:08>> He he's been targeted on 4.4% of it's 4.4% 4% of his routes. Uh, among guys that have run a route on 50% of their
59:15team dropbacks, that is dead last by a lot. Bryce Lance is like doubling up his targets per route run. So tough.
59:22>> Yeah, I saw Lombardi say that the uh 49ers should trade for Jawan Jennings and get him back in the building. Uh,
59:27what's the point, you know, all he's only watching the Brock Party tape, so yeah, >> watching the charts of Brock Party.
59:37>> Yeah, there you go.
59:38>> Yeah, the Vikings. The Vikings did lose their left guard and Donovan Jackson.
59:42He's going to injured reserve. Uh and then the running game. Yeah, I mean it's Aaron Jones. Just play after play after
59:48play after play. All right, let's talk about the Tennessee Titans. And Matt, I wanted to send it to you first because
59:56Colonel Tate finally saw production on the season. He was the wide receiver 11 on the week. Uh, I heard someone mention
60:04this that the only rookie receivers with the higher target share through the opening four weeks have been like Puka Nakua and Jamar Chase and like some of
60:12the best wide receivers in the league.
60:15Uh, now I think that shows kind of the difference between target share and you know actually good offenses and actual fantasy points. But that's,
60:25>> you know, in my underlying metrics league at least that paid off.
60:30>> Yeah, that's great. Um, I will say for for a game where he fumbled and I would say I know he was charted with two
60:38drops. I would say one of them was definitely a drop. The other is I'd put some responsibility on Cam Ward for that
60:43one. Uh, I yeah, I wouldn't chart that as a drop. Other places can do whatever they want with it. But yeah, again, with
60:49all that being said, I thought this was a really strong game for Carnell Tate.
60:53Uh, you saw the separation skills. I think he settles in zones well. Um, he gets open at all three levels. And the
60:59great part for him is that I've done two games on his uh his so far and he's not just the static X of the offense. He's
61:06been off ball at about 38%. They will move him around. They'll get him in these looks here. Um just really clean,
61:13crisp stuff at the top of the routes for Tate. So it's definitely not perfect by any means. I think this offense sucks. I
61:19don't like watching it. Um I think the quarterback is still shaky, but to be nice. And then for Carnell Tate too,
61:25speaking of shaky quarterback, he's been pretty good at uncovering when Cam Ward gets into chaos mode and then it's just like, can Cam Ward get that ball down
61:33the field to Carnell Tate? That is the question here. So, um I'm definitely it's on my radar this week about them
61:39going against the Texans where we saw CD Lamb cut them up. Like, could this be a Wel Robinson scam week? Uh but for the
61:46fact that they've at least got Tate some of these offball movement reps, I think that's encouraging for him and to maybe
61:51have a good week this week again.
61:54definitely encouraging. 29% target share is a really high number on the season for for Carninal Tate. And I noticed the same thing on the out of structure stuff
62:02uh where it was that was the kind of the best moments from from Cam Ward in this one. And the key to that is to run the
62:07opposite direction. That's all of Cam Ward's like best throws uh throughout his entire NFL career. He's been moving one way and then he's throwing it to the
62:15receiver moving the other way. That's what happened with Cardell Tate uh on on this play as well. all 12 of his targets
62:22were five yards or are deeper down the field. Like they're not going to give him manufactured touches. I think that's why his his stats are going to be really
62:29up and down. I think kind of watching him. He's kind of like the guy that we were like, you know, maybe hoping Marvin
62:35Harrison can kind of turn into where he's going to be like primarily kind of the exceiver, but not all the time. You
62:41can move him around. He's not super explosive on Tate, but he's fluid and big and I think uh could could run all
62:48the routes uh on the route tree. So, I'm seeing positive signs from Carnell Tate individually. And then at the same time,
62:55Cam Ward made a couple more nice throws in this one, but the consistency in terms of the accuracy, getting the ball
62:59out on time and stuff, I think it's still uh just not there for Cam Ward.
63:04>> There's a stat. JJ has it. Malik Neighbors, Drake Lyn, and Pukanakua are the only wide receivers since 2016 to have a higher target share through four
63:11games. But again, >> target share doesn't necessarily get you fantasy points. Um, >> you know, I turned on this game just
63:18yeah, ju just to see this offense because of the production that he had.
63:23>> I don't know. I was still kind of let down by the whole thing to be honest.
63:25Like there was just a whole bunch of creation mode stuff from Kim Ward. I was hoping in this one he would be able to
63:31sit back there and go through his progressions and, you know, hit players in rhythm and it still just didn't have like that much rhythm to it, you know,
63:40and that kind of gives me concerns of Matt this type of performance stacking itself week over week. I understand this was the Ravens and they've got some
63:47great defensive pieces and some great defensive coaches and all that type of stuff, but um I was still lefting or left wanting a little bit more.
63:56I guess I had my expectations just lower because I'm I'm not expecting that from Cam Ward or Brian Dball at this point. I
64:04think these two guys are bad for >> did some cool like >> 3x one stuff too. Like we what we I was
64:10nervous about in the preseason was Cardinal Tate just being isolated as the X and all that type of stuff. He did
64:16some cool >> 3x one and got him in some looks that were favorable for him too. So So that was a positive
64:22>> which definitely helps. that helps the Carnell tape part of it and especially again going against the Texans this week. Um Colts the week after that
64:29there's going to be some spots where if they can get him on the move and just like again what the Cowboys did with CD
64:35Lamb like motion him across the field and then run these quick outs. I think that's good for Tate. I will say um on
64:41the Marvin Harrison Jr. point like the one of the problems for Marv even when he does get the ball thrown his way
64:46especially early in his career was he would underhand like let the ball into his body tape. This is totally translated. He's just one of the most
64:53aesthet I know he had the drop, but like most aesthetically pleasing players to watch catch the ball cuz he always comes
64:58at that thing with extended hands, full frame. Um he's doing that uh for sure.
65:02So if you're feeling like if you drafted Carnell Tate in your dynasty draft, um just watch the tape. Don't don't watch
65:08the Titans offense. Just watch the tape.
65:11>> Hey, do we need to say anything about the running game? I mean Tony Pard is running back 31 at this point. Go ahead.
65:18is the RB14 in usage for our usage leagues out there. It hasn't necessarily translated. Uh I will say this, JC Laam, their right tackle has been
65:30awesome. And if you're talking about just getting off the bus, what you want your right tackle to look like, JC Laam,
65:36you could not put a bigger bicep on the man and he kind of wears his jersey all tight and cropped and stuff. He was
65:43dominating every Ravens uh defensive lineman in the ground game. JC Laam, there was a chance that he was just going to be like not an NFL starter in a
65:52first round bust. I would say he's one of the better right tackles that I've watched this season. And that is like a
65:58huge turnaround for the Tennessee Titans. I think maybe that's like another reason to be a little bit frustrated with the Cam Ward stuff more
66:04than we're even being on this show is like the offensive line has not been a stone cold disaster that it could have
66:10been going into this. I think it's played like a tier above that. And someone like JC Laam kind of having this
66:14breakout season is a is a reason why.
66:18>> Tangent. What the heck was Bill Callahan doing in Tennessee? Like goatated offensive line coach for his whole career. Awesome. Then he goes to work
66:27for his son and has a terrible Titans offensive line despite investing a lot in it. And now he's with the Atlanta
66:33Falcons and their offensive line is freaking nasty. So, I don't know what was going on there during that year span in Tennessee. Matt,
66:41>> don't work. Don't work for your son.
66:42Maybe that's the answer.
66:43>> Yeah, there it is. Never work for your son. Denver Broncos, let's talk about them.
66:51I mean, where to start? Uh, Matt, I'm sure you watched the Bonick stuff.
66:56Everyone by this point has watched the Bon Knick stuff. For me, I mean, there there were two plays, okay? And you
67:02don't have to look in the first quarter if you guys want to watch them. All right. There's a 13 personnel look under
67:06center. Marvin Mimms runs the coverage away. Evan Ingram from the tight end side runs an over route. There's a sevenyard cavity. There's the entire
67:15sideline open and instead of throwing it to him, Bon Knicks takes the two-y gain to RJ Harvey on the checkdown. Then two
67:23plays later, 11 personnel, a concept that every team across the league runs.
67:28Jaylen Wadd from the slot drives down the field. Pat Bryant hits the dagger behind him. The entire middle of the field area is open and once again Boon
67:38Knicks checks it down. That was on first and 20 and like third and 18 and both could have gotten first downs or at
67:45least gotten close to it. So Matt, I I don't think there's a bigger indictment or indication of where Bon Knicks is
67:52right now than RJ Harvey getting 10 catches in a single game.
67:58>> It's so gross. Um, I was super frustrated talking about this offense on our Sunday recap show. Didn't feel any better about it. Honestly, felt worse
68:07because at least on going back to watching on tape because at least on Sunday you can think, hey, well, maybe the guys weren't open downfield. I was
68:14suspicious of that. But nevertheless, yeah. I mean, this the fact like you're seeing this passing chart here on the screen. This is what it is. It's just
68:21this massive cavity over the middle of the field and Bo Nicks is just not pulling the trigger on these throws. And
68:27he also does not move well at all right now. It might be bad that he's had what all these ankle surgeries at this point.
68:34I mean, the guys who have these are the players who have more yards from scrambling than Bo Knicks this year.
68:42Drew Lockach, Jameus Winston, Jack Strand. These guys have like barely played. So, he's not taking off and running. Like, I mean, he's not taking
68:52off and running at all. Um, he also doesn't look comfortable in the pocket, so he's getting to these checkdowns so quickly. I mean, yeah, those are good
68:59examples. I would see the same thing where it's like on the they ran dagger a ton in this game. Um, this was a Davis
69:06Web get the message out there. I it's not my fault sort of week on on social media. Uh, and you know what? I I'm he's
69:13right. Like they're running the concepts and the quarterback is just not pulling the trigger right now. So, um, I don't know if that's Bonix isn't comfortable.
69:21This is just who he is. He's always been too quick to the checkdown to if from in my opinion and we're certainly seeing
69:27that so far this year.
69:29>> Yeah, I think the expectations with Waddle being there, it's like really put a magnifying glass on this Bicks problem which has been a problem for a very long
69:36time. I did not realize he has 6.3 rushing yards per game. That's quarterback 23. Like >> that was what kind of like dragged him
69:43to like being a I would say a competent rookie quarterback uh um a couple years ago like kind of like by the midpoint of
69:50that season. But we're not getting those moments nearly as often uh in this one.
69:54Jaylen Wadd at this point 21% target here. Wide receiver 37 and expected points. He's just going to be more up and down than than I wanted. He did have
70:02two screen receptions in this one, but just in general like not getting as many like just kind of like go balls and you
70:10know big crossing routes. We have not really seen that. Maybe that changes with Pat Bryant going to injured reserved here, but uh something
70:18something's got to give.
70:20Yeah, something does.
70:21>> And then the one he did get, he dropped.
70:23So there's also, you know, calling balls and strikes here. Gotta got to make that play. Jaylen Waddle, I >> I think your point, Matt, about the
70:30ankle injury. Like maybe that is just this internal noise that Bonex hears because he's always been this quarterback that's had difficult time
70:40finding the Goldilock zone between moving too much and not moving enough.
70:44His sack avoidance has always been great. And maybe he, you know, that is too top of mind in that he realizes he
70:52can't move as much as he used to. And so in order to avoid these sacks cuz that's my calling card is my sack avoidance. I
70:58just have to get the check down quicker.
71:00So it all might stem from like you said Matt just a bunch and not being totally healed from that that ankle or or that
71:06foot. Um I do want to bring up the running back room here too. JK Dobbins is among the worst in the NFL right now
71:13in success rate and he doesn't catch passes. Look, RJ Harvey as a rusher is not a plus runner, but at least is like
71:20middle of the road when it comes to success rate and these underlying numbers. He also leads the NFL in yards off the catch. Now, again, it's because
71:26these checkdowns, but Hayden, are we at the point where it's just better for who the Broncos are right now to start and
71:32play RJ Harvey over JK Dobbins?
71:36>> Well, they kind of did that. They didn't start RJ Harvey, but RJ Harvey played more early down snaps than JK Dobbins
71:43did this last week. And I will be ranking RG Harvey definitely ahead of JK Dobbins. I would put this into the
71:49Patriots backfield conversation where the answer to the Broncos backfield was you don't draft any of them. It's always just going to be a committee. It was
71:56Tyler Bedet out there in pass protection uh as well. Uh he actually got a carry before JK Dobbins as well in this game.
72:05So the Dobins stuff is officially cursed. I think that you could be aggressive and drop them. Matt, I was listening to your show and you guys had
72:11the same takeaway there where if you want to be aggressive, just drop them.
72:14like he's not going to be a league winner. He's just kind of like maybe going to be a flex play, but not going
72:19to be a good one at that. I will say the Broncos offensive line is not moving as many bodies in the ground game as well.
72:25Just just watching them for a unit that should be uh one of the best offensive lines as well. So, everything just feels
72:30a little bit off. And the last thing I was going to say on the Bonick stuff last week, it was kind of like what's
72:36happening in in the NBA with WBY is when you have a middle of the field player in Fred Warner, some teams are like, I'm
72:43not even going to try. And that's what I kind of felt with with Bo Knicks is like he knew Fred Warner was just lurking
72:47over the middle. He's like, I'm not even going to throw the ball over there. And that's why I think he was getting to the
72:52checkown on top of that. But you can't be a good quarterback if you're going to just like say, "F it. I'm not going to
72:57even attempt things over the middle."
72:58Even if it is Fred Warner, >> Tyler, >> fourth on the team in receiving yards was Tyler Bedet. So I think I I'm with
73:10you though, Josh. Could could uh R.J.
73:12Harvey be like the most disgusting by low because just hey, you trade for him because he's not like really popping in
73:18fantasy and they just kind of go more towards him because I just think Dobbins has unfortunately given them next to nothing at this point. Um maybe keep
73:25stashing Jonah Coleman. Uh, I don't know if there's a right answer here, but it's it's not what's been going on so far.
73:31>> I mean, in half PPR, he did have 10 catches and still scored as only the running back 20. Uh, now if you play in
73:38a seco league in full PPR, he was a running back 12 because of all those catches. But again, that goes to show I
73:44said this a hundred times and you know, when the Jonah Coleman stuff was happening in waiverss and everything is this has to be a singular running back
73:50for it to matter. It is split way too many different areas and they're not good enough running the football at large for it to be a split backfield and
73:57for it to matter for any of us. Okay, Matt, we're going to keep you for one extra and it's the Cincinnati Bengals
74:04and it's just for one name. You promised us on Sunday night after we saw one of the greatest stories in the NFL, Dante
74:11Meyers, pop up for 92% route percentage that you're going to chart him this week. What did you see when you charted him?
74:20How about that? Yeah, we have something new to talk about with the Cincinnati Bengals. Uh other than the fact that they've
74:25>> completely given up, by the way, on the under center thing. They're dead last and under center, their first and pass
74:29rate over expected. So, they shot those August storylines into the sun, but you know, he's kind of shot out of a cannon
74:35a little bit is Dante Myers. I mean, the guy's got a little bit of pop to him for sure. I also wasn't impressed that they
74:41played him across the formation. I was expecting to think, oh, this is going to be a little gadgety nonsense Mickey Mouse BS, but um 50% snaps on ball, 50%
74:50snaps off ball, 34% slot. So, decent bit of work all over the place. Um and in terms of his route tree, now I'm I'm not
74:58going to sit here and say he is a refined receiver as a downfield separator because I'm I mean, he's he's not, especially against zone coverage,
75:05he doesn't quite know the leverages and everything, but >> uh dig routes, I thought he had a couple of impressive moments. uh like just
75:12quicker outs, the deeper outs were not so great. By the way, Travis Hunter cornerback film is outrageous right now.
75:18Uh as one of the biggest Travis Hunter wide receiver backers out there, I I'd be happy if we never played wide
75:25receiver ever again just because he's so damn good as a corner. And they were really baiting. They were really baiting Cincinnati.
75:31>> Throw into the hole. Throw into the hole shot for cover two here. And they were closing those windows quick. even one of
75:36those quick little outs that Dante Meyers ran. He turns around to start running after the catch and Travis Hunter boom pops him right afterwards.
75:44So, he obliterated him along the sideline. So, it's a lot of that with Meyers, but uh didn't quite have any big
75:51breakaway plays here, uh for sure, but I think if he gets an angle, he can he can he can scoot after the catch. So, I
75:59would not call him a pure fake designery receiver. Uh he did have some nice moments and I like that he was used all
76:06over the formation. But yeah, obviously that's going to be the key to him right now is quick almost like quick man
76:11coverage wins and then pin it on him and let him run.
76:14>> Yeah, I know it's the same thing that on that big third and 16 the sliding play that was from the slot and then they
76:21were down five points 90 seconds left first and 10 and they throw him a back shoulder ball that gets completed. So I
76:26was like to me Joe Burrow like trust him uh which was nice and then Josh >> if he doesn't get clipped on his ankles
76:33on that play earlier in the game >> he might have housed that that dude was flying. So I think you're going to get
76:40maybe like a couple manufactured opportunities a game because he's that explosive. Uh obviously you have to do that less if Jamar Chase is out there
76:48but that guy got to speed quickly uh early on and he he nearly had like a probably like a 60-yard play. So, I
76:56think this is really important. If people are watching this live, thank you for watching. Leave a thumbs up if you are. Um, ahead of the waiverss and then
77:03we have to fill in for T. Higgins, who I think is going to miss multiple weeks with his groin. And Jamar Chase with
77:10concussion. I I'm expecting him to miss because one, it's the Dolphins even if it's a must-win, and then they have a
77:14by-week after that. So, it just kind of would make sense. Now, we have seen some players respond quickly from concussions, but Hayden, we have to get
77:21this right. So, in the waiverss episode, I talked a bit more about Mike Gaseiki than I did Dante Meyers. I mean, Gassiki
77:27right now is the tight end 10 on the season despite only being on the field for 58% of dropbacks. You can kind of
77:34look at the last two seasons as part of the Bengals. Like in 2024 when T.
77:39Higgins missed week two, he was a tight end five. When T. Higgins missed weeks eight and nine, he was a tight end 16
77:44and the tight end one. Last season when T played less than 75% in certain games, he was a tight end two and the tight end
77:5113. So to me, he's a glorified wide receiver for this team. But especially when one of those players misses, he is
77:58a focal point of this passing game. And he's already doing great things this season on a reduced snap count, and that
78:05should maybe go up by like 20% this week.
78:10>> I think I would project Meyers for more fantasy points than Mike Cassiki, but it'd be close. um between the two. Um
78:17Meyers played 58 of 63 drop backs. Uh and Kaziki was at 44 of 63. So just you know Gassiki has to be better on a per
78:25target basis. He's probably more likely to score a touchdown given his size. So I think it' be close closer to a tossup.
78:30But I think that both of them are awesome pickups. Just I mean don't spend a lot of money on it, but just like you
78:35can do a lot worse than start either one of them if if even if Chase is out there. I think that both these guys are
78:40going to be heavily involved to some degree. And Chase isn't out there. think both of them are going to be in my top
78:4536 and top 12 at their positions.
78:48>> Just personnel notes for Dante Myers, too. New way I'm charting things is like through personnel stuff. I won't take everybody through the boring backend
78:56part of it, but uh 38% 11 personnel, 49% 12 personnel, 6% 20 personnel, 7% 21.
79:03Obviously, some of that 12 is BS because Mike Cassiki has run 0% uh of his routes as an inline tight end.
79:12Uh for all of the Harmon, when are you going to chart Brock Bowers nonsense when he runs fewer routes as an inline
79:17tight end than Mike Gaseki? That's the rules. Okay, that's so nobody wants nobody wants the Gaseki charts. Uh but as soon as uh as soon as he does that,
79:25then then maybe Brock Bowers. We'll see about that. But yeah, I mean Myers played in all the personnel groupings, played outside, inside. Uh, I think,
79:32yeah, I like Hayden's way of saying it.
79:34You I've heard of worse ideas uh than the Dante Meyers.
79:38>> There are worse pickups all of us have made this season than guys that are playing anywhere from 70 to 92% snaps
79:45attached to Joe Burrow facing the Miami Dolphins defense, you know. So, and with everything that I brought with Mike Cassiki, that was also previous years
79:53when Andre Yoshipas was on the field and now he's not, you know. So, to me, that's even a cleaner pathway for
79:59Cassiki being a nice fill in for like Travis Kelce if he's on a by-week for your teams out there, too. Um,
80:06I had something brought up about the running game because that's been non-existent. Like Chase Brown, we can keep saying he's a by low and blah blah
80:11blah and all that type of stuff. A crazy stat from uh I think it's EAB put it out there. The longest running play in eight
80:20years under Zack Taylor is actually from Joe Burrow. It's a 47 yard rushing touchdown back against the New York Giants in 2024. And Matt, like you said,
80:29the the Bengals are dead last in yards per play from under center this year.
80:34So, while that has helped and theoretically should Chase Brown with some of his rushing production, uh they're already abandoning it and moving
80:41away from it.
80:43>> Yeah, stinks. But, um that this is what they are, man. They'll probably do the same nonsense next off season where they
80:50sell this uh to us, but this is what Joe Burrow wants to do. So, this is what they're going to do. They'll they'll be
80:55this way until the end of time.
80:57>> All right, Matt. Thanks a lot, man.
80:59Extra work, extra credit from him. I appreciate you joining us and I'll uh see you on your show on Thursday.
81:06>> Yes, sir. Thank you guys. Appreciate it.
81:08>> All right, Hayden, let's keep it rolling.
81:11First, let's do the Baltimore Ravens.
81:13They're up next. I mean, this Lamar Jackson ankle injury, he's missed games every single year for either flu-l like symptoms in December or, you know, some
81:23type of injury that pops up, quote unquote, an outside chance of playing, but they are two and a half point underdogs to the Falcons at this point.
81:30So, the markets do not believe that Lamar Jackson is going to play. That brings us Tyler Huntley and uh that is
81:35throwing to Z Flowers and Derrick Henry.
81:38And there's your team.
81:40>> That's the entire team. I once again liked what I saw schematically from Declan Doyle. Zay Flowers was all over the field uh in this one. A lot of plays
81:50over the middle, quick hitters to Z Flowers to let him go after the catch, including his touchdown. On the end zone
81:56copy of that play, like Lamar Jackson had this much space to throw that ball in there. Just like a reminder when
82:01we're watching like the TV angles of this stuff, we do not get the proper representation of how difficult it is to
82:07play quarterback in the NFL. Um, so yeah, that just like goes to show, you know, the difference between Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley is a big one.
82:14But at the same time, they're just not going to throw the ball to anybody else except for Z Flowers this year. So even
82:19with Huntley in there, I will still be ranking Z Flowers as a top, you know, 15 or so option.
82:25>> Yeah, they did lose Durham Smi for the season. Uh, I'm not saying that Durham Smite was on our radar for fantasy
82:31purposes, but he is kind of a dirty work guy. Like I know Nate posted a clip where the Ravens tried out 13 personnel
82:38and under center which so awesome that we're getting even more of this stuff under Declan Doyle and they motioned Dur Smite out wide and then that freed up
82:46Zay Flowers in the slot. It's very similar to you know what Ben Johnson does with his tight ends and we know
82:53Declan Doyle coached with Ben Johnson last year. So, they're kind of utilizing tight ends to move the pieces in order to get their best players the ball,
83:01which is everything that you want with an offensive play caller.
83:06>> Okay, Buffalo Bills are up next.
83:10>> So, I talked about this on the waiverss episode. Uh, Hayden, I want DJ Moore out there, but if DJ Moore is going to leave
83:17after 25% of snaps, I'd rather DJ Moore just sits because in his absence, I really want to play Keon Coleman. Like,
83:26this version of Keon Coleman should draw people's attention. He's playing that well.
83:32>> Yeah, I had this game uh for the recap show and I made sure to say I think that he's playing better. I brought it up to
83:39Nate Tyson on the other recap show. Um, if you haven't listened to me enough, you can go over to football 301. I do
83:44backtoback on recap shows every Sunday right now. Please subscribe. Um, but on that I said, Nate, I think Keon Coleman looks faster this year. Looks a little
83:55more slender. Uh, and he quickly pulled it up. This is the fastest he's run on a per uh play basis uh versus the other is
84:03marginally faster, but it's something.
84:05uh he had made a classic Keon Coleman play on the sideline, but that that big kind of post route for the touchdown
84:11like that was like about as fast as I've seen him run there and this big kind of play underneath that was an at snap
84:16motion play where he was the first uh read target on that one. So it's a little bit more involvement here. Um so
84:23I think that he's good enough to be an NFL starter now and I think that he's good enough where if he's the first
84:30player in the pass game like I think that's going to be a fancy starter.
84:33Yeah, he's almost DJ Moore insurance, you know, like they they won't put Khalo Shakir in the DJ Moore role. Don Concincaid's going to get his and we can
84:41talk about, you know, Joe Brady's comments with that and all that type of stuff. But in the two games where DJ
84:47Moore has left after again like 23% of the snaps, Keon Coleman pops in for six receptions, 63 yards, and here are six receptions
84:55for 116 and one. And it looks like the similar patterns, it looks like the similar routes, and it kind of looks
85:00like the similar speed. I mean, I've been a hater of Keon Coleman and that's been correct so far. But I also want to
85:05give him credit that like when he gets motioned into a stack for these crossing routes, these downfield concepts, the three levels, he's the intermediate
85:12target. Like he even had a designed screen in this game, you know? So, there is confusion that you obviously maybe can't even prioritize Keon Coleman
85:22unless we know DJ Moore is going to miss a game because he's only relevant if he does. But if I knew it, I think Keon
85:27Coleman might be my like second or third waiver pickup this week. uh simply based on I would immediately start him this
85:34week.
85:35>> Yeah, huge game against the Rams here.
85:37Point totals are 26 to 28 and a half. So that's a a kind of start everybody. Um my other note on this was on the Dalton
85:44Concaid stuff. Um we have somebody that was charting uh just like the usage in general and they've not run the ball to
85:53Dalton Concaid's side uh a single time yet.
85:58So like >> that's a pretty big tell and it's like a reason why he's not going to be playing all the snaps all the time. He's just
86:05kind of in the same role. It's been back >> be hyper efficient.
86:08>> Yes. Now I think that he is one of the best receiving tight ends in the league and without DJ Moore like I still want
86:15to start him but he was the tight end five uh tight end three in the first two weeks and then the last two weeks
86:20outside the top 30 in scoring. So you know it's going to be this kind of roller coaster. That's kind of what we
86:25signed up with with Dalton Concincaid.
86:26But, you know, like that was like a classic note there. They haven't ran the ball to his side a single time yet. Um,
86:33you know, that's a tell.
86:35>> Yes, it is. Uh, Joe Brady said, quote, "I have to be better. There is no reason Donin Cage should have two targets,
86:41especially with the flow of the game."
86:43So, maybe have a bit of a squeaky wheel situation. Um, the last thing I had here for the Bills is that there's only one
86:51quarterback in the NFL who is getting designed runs called at a higher rate than they were last year and that's Josh
86:57Allen.
86:58>> Yeah.
86:58>> Uh, which is pretty crazy. Like we talk about more pass heavy looks from the Bills this season and that's been true
87:04and you know more plays and all that type of stuff. Well, the more plays uh, you know, can also equal more design
87:11runs here for for Josh Allen. That's from Run the Sims by the way. Okay, let's talk about the Chicago Bears. Uh,
87:18my, to use your term, fancy boy stat for the Chicago Bears is that they lead the NFL with 4.8 drives that reach the red
87:27zone per game, but they rank right now 30th in red zone touchdown success rate at 42.11%.
87:34Uh we're talking about small samples and you can actually physically remember Yes.
87:39>> the specific place where this happened where it's DeAndre Swift getting stuffed at the one yard line twice. It's uh Coulson Lovelin, you know, knocking the
87:49ball over. It's Caleb Williams pulling his hamstring and not crossing the goal line. It's Sam Roush like dropping a pass. You know, it's Ro. So, it's it's
87:58it's a lot of these like small things.
88:00So, I use a term like they're going to be scary when Ben Johnson fixes it, but same time with fix it, it can be, you
88:07know, some positive regression. It can just be stabilizing. Like, insert whatever word you want to. Uh, but that that points to how great this offense
88:15can be, and it can be even better.
88:17>> Yeah, I think that's a great note. They they have not executed everything perfectly, which is the scary part. Um, for for all this stuff, there's a lot of
88:26mouths to feed. I didn't have like a good uh like um like kind of shakethrough between the the Coloulston Lovelin is he good again
88:35is he not good again Luther Roma Dunce like I think this as a season plays out these guys are going to like more or
88:41less probably be kind of like where we were drafting them maybe a little bit tier below just because Khif Raymond is
88:47more involved there. Uh my biggest note was just what happened with the running backs there. Uh DeAndre Swift fumbled the ball uh midway through the third
88:56quarter and then Kyle Manungai went absolutely crazy for the rest of the game there. They're not going to sit DeAndre Swift moving forward uh because
89:02of that. Kyle Manungy was was going uh he was running really well and like that's how he got home. But you know,
89:08DeAndre Swift's going to start playing fourth quarters uh and he's going to bounce back eventually. So I wouldn't read into it. You know, this is just
89:14like riding the hot hand uh uh summed up on the chart. But on that note, like we open the season with DeAndre Swift being
89:23one of the best picks in fantasy football and kind of getting more work than we were expecting after Kungai, you know, had a slow camp because of
89:30injury. We talked about last week against the Eagles, how, you know, Jendra Swift opened more season a series than we were accustomed to. Uh, and then
89:38Kamongai has this game where he has 30 carries and he actually might be a good answer for them inside the 5yd line.
89:43like Swift has improved in that area, but Manungai is just a bull in that area, too. Um, so I don't want maybe
89:53some reaction to, oh, DeAndre Swift, it might now be back to a split. Well, guess what? That's where you drafted DeAndre Swift and he's still going to be
90:01a heck of a fantasy asset if this is a pure 50-50 split because this offense posts a whole bunch of points and
90:08they're very good at running the football. So, I I don't want any negativity that people see about DeAndre Swift this week and obviously the fumble
90:14and sitting for the entire fourth quarter to lead them to sell high on Swift. In fact, I might do the opposite.
90:19I might go out and buy it.
90:20>> Yeah, definitely. So, there's a the running back fantasy usage by team chart out there and that's just my model. It
90:26when I talk about usage, that is, you know, like taking the carries, the targets, how close they are to the end
90:31zone, are they in shotgun, yada yada yada. a million variables that play into it, but it's a really good number to
90:37kind of like quickly get to the point.
90:39Uh, and the Bears are number one in running back usage by a mile versus everybody else. So, you can chop this,
90:45you know, 60 40, 40, 60, 7030, however you want to chop it. Both guys are startable. Uh, and both of them have
90:51like running back one overall upside.
90:54Um, and that's why they're must plays.
90:57the the thing with Coulson Loveland because he was the third tight end selected behind Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, every target that goes to CoT
91:06or every manufactured touch that goes to Sam Roush uh is taking away from Coulson Leland. And so while Coulson is still a
91:15good player and while I still think he'll have, you know, better games ahead, he probably isn't going to live up to the tight end three billing solely
91:22for that reason along with some other things along with competing with Roma Dunay and Luther Burton and the running backs and all this type of stuff. So
91:30again, there's just a lot more mouths to feed than Brock Bowers, you know, being out there for 93% of routes and Trey
91:35McBride being 85% of routes and all that type of stuff.
91:39My rest of season rankings for tight end would be McBride and Bowers in tier one.
91:43I would put Leaporta and KD in tier two and then Warren Concaid Loveland Craft I guess Isaiah likely you know kind of in
91:51that next tier.
91:52>> Jan's up there too.
91:54Yeah, I think Jawan for now is in that and I think, you know, as a season plays out and Jordan Tyson gets there, I think
92:00he'll step down a tier, but you know, I think Coulson Lovelin, I would draft him as the like tight end seven moving
92:05forward, even though he's not been anywhere near that, but that's that's a long ways away versus round four.
92:11>> Let's talk the Cleveland Browns. They played an attorney ago, almost a week ago on Thursday Night Football. Uh, I mean, my overriding point is that Todd
92:19Monkin is just a problem solver. You know, like this roster is >> different than the ones that Safensky had last year, but I think a major
92:29reason why it's different is because Todd Monin specifically wanted it to be different in terms of reworking the entire offensive line, which by the way,
92:35we're seeing across the league. If you have one or two new pieces along a front five, then there's some growing pains.
92:41They have five new pieces basically, and look how they're playing. Um, and then you know the Denzel Boston, Casey Conpion of it all saying, "I want a
92:51whole new wide receiver room and these rookies aren't necessarily playing like rookies." And then it's making Deshun Watson look go from horrible to still
93:01below average. But it's in these moments that when the game is on the line, one, his movement is better, and two, I I
93:09think that Todd Mon just gives him the answers and the confidence to make more plays than he has been the last couple
93:14years.
93:16>> Really well said. Uh Browns they're second in neutral pass rate right now at 63% which kind kind of goes to show you
93:23that Todd Mon like understands understands his personnel like he was never this high obviously with the Ravens and completely flips it around
93:31because you know Deshawn's going to buy some time uh and then also scramble around a little bit. They they've gotten like some nice first downs from Deshun
93:38Watson as a scrambler uh this year. And then their best but their best skill guys right now as Quinn Sean's just kind
93:43of ramping up off his injury has has definitely been Denzel Boston and Casey Conpsion. So and they're middle of the pack in success rate which is incredible
93:53versus where they should be with that new offensive line. I think credit to Todd Mon more so than anybody else associated with uh the Cleveland Browns
94:02and they've also just hit on a lot of their uh recent picks, you know, like Mason Graham was balling out earlier
94:08this season. Obviously, they traded down to get some extra capital um as well. Uh Fannon was excellent and then both their
94:15skilled guys in the draft this year have been uh looking like excellent players, including Casey Conpsion like blocking like five guys on a play. I think that
94:22was just like a a special moment from from the youngster.
94:26Okay, I need to ask you about Denzel Boston because he was drafted as the wide receiver five or six by a lot of
94:31people out there. If you just look at where he's at this season, he's wide receiver 18 in points per game. Now,
94:38that's heavily aided by the first two weeks when no one played him as the wide receiver 19 and 11 and these last two
94:44have been the wide receiver 49 and 32.
94:46But as we get into by-weeks here, Hayden, is he one of the players again despite being attached to Deshun Watson, albeit again the neutral pass rate is up
94:54high, that you would feel comfortable starting as your wide receiver two or three, not as a wide receiver too. Um, he's the
95:01wide receiver 41 in usage, wide receiver 44 in targets per game. He's used down the field, so I think he's going to be
95:07like a fairly efficient player for like all he can control. He's he's going to make some awesome plays at the catch
95:12point, and he has a little bit more separation skills than I think people certainly gave him credit for a pre-draft. Um, but in my rankings, like
95:20initial rankings, he's like my wide receiver 33 right now. Um, and I think I feel way more comfortable like in the
95:26mid to late 30s than trying to pretend that we have like a top 24 wide receiver on hand. I think dynasty wise, both
95:32these guys look the part and that's what we should be excited about. And they're going to be more relevant because they're passing the ball neutral
95:38situations more more so than uh we thought they were and Deshawn's playing better than we thought. But I'm not ready to crown Denzel Boston as a wide
95:46receiver, too.
95:47>> Yeah, I like that. And by the way, this defensive coordinator who's very good.
95:50They had a rough week one, but he coached with Jeff Olrich, who I should have given flowers to when we talked
95:56about the Atlanta Falcons, like losing both your pass rushers in Atlanta and still everyone's flying to the football.
96:02Uh, the Browns are flying to the football, too. Like guys are playing with their hair on fire. So, this coaching staff is, I think, an A+ so
96:10far. Yep. Dallas Cowboys.
96:13Speaking of A+, Dak Prescott is playing great football.
96:19CD Lamb playing great football. Javvante Williams is scoring touchdowns. Aiden, there is only one question. It is George Pickkins, who is roughly like the wide
96:30receiver 38 right now. Is this a buy low window for the people out there for George Pickkins?
96:36>> Yeah, I'm going to keep calling him a buy low. I think that the price tag starting to get definitely closer to,
96:41you know, wide receiver 16 rather than the wide receiver 10 that we drafted him as. Um, but I think to the general point
96:47is the Cowboys are picking up first downs at an elite rate. Dak Prescott is playing awesome football. They're pushing the ball down the field as well.
96:55Uh, Javvante Williams getting home in like short yardage situations, but they're not like using Javvante Williams like to the point that, you know, uh,
97:04George Pickkins can't get the football.
97:05So, I think better days are coming forward for for George Pickkins. That said, CD Lamb has 25 receiving first downs this year. That is the second most
97:13in NFL history through four weeks, only behind 2011 Wes Welker with Tom Brady.
97:17Second most ever. Uh, and he recently did that against the Ravens and the Texans. And I think it was like another
97:24awesome uh performance from the coaching staff that, you know, moved CD Lamb. So, he was just not going to be seeing
97:29Derrick Stingley for a large chunk of that game, including the game winner as well. So, I think it's a well coached
97:34team. their offensive line is playing better and they're about to get their best offensive lineman back. His practice window just opened up this
97:40week. Someone like uh Tyler Gayton, their left tackle, is playing better football than we thought. Um so like I want everybody on this offense. Like
97:49there's not a player I don't want and that includes George Pickkins.
97:53>> Yep.
97:54I mean I I I look CD Lamb has four touchdowns. He only had three last year.
98:00He's already overperforming there. And George Pickins last season on these slants and inb breakers and just every opportunity that he was given was, you
98:11know, being extremely efficient and was a model breaker on top of having insane volume. So with Dak playing at this level and through four games, the
98:22Cowboys offense ranking fifth in points per drive out of every offense since the year 2000, that's from Anthony Dundo. Uh
98:31to me, you're not going to get a piece that has declined in value as much of George Pickins in an offense that we
98:39should want every single piece of moving forward. So, uh I I would be aggressive in going to your friend, your leaguemate, and saying, "Hey, I know
98:47Pickkins hasn't done it for you, but how about XYZ, who uh is performing much better than him so far this season?"
98:53>> I think it's a great call. I'm right there with you.
98:56>> Okay. Start Green Bay Packers. Um, I mean, I watched this game. The Packers offense is very straightforward. We care about Christian Watson. We care about
99:07Matthew Golden. Tucker Craft finally learned and remembered how to play football once again. I still did not think that Jordan Love was at his best.
99:13Um, I mean, through that red zone interception with 426 to go, only up by three points. But uh you know he is in
99:21an environment that he knows that if he doesn't play great then again it gets back to that cyclical stuff where they
99:28don't have enough talent around him.
99:30>> Yeah. And you know like the Caleb Johnson fumbled you know like puts a magnifying glass on that. I think the
99:36more that I've you know done this as as my career the more you know sympathetic I am to when a quarterback is stressing
99:44because he thinks there's going to be pressure because in the last eight plays there were there was pressure. like even if that play there wasn't, you know,
99:50like it's it's there's a context here of of why I think that he's not having his best season. Um, in terms of the running backs, I I guess
100:01like I guess it would be Marshon Lloyd again because Caleb Johnson had that fumble and they were using Marshon Lloyd uh earlier on. Uh, Chris Brooks picked
100:08up an injury. Like I'm not sure if it matters though. Um, they're they're they're trying new offensive linemen.
100:14Maybe that that kind of settles things down. And I think that we're probably a couple ways a a couple weeks away from
100:19Josh Jacobs returning here. Um, but this offense feels pretty straightforward to me at this point.
100:26I've like kind of accepted what the offensive line is. I've accepted that Matthew Gold and Christian Watson are awesome players and must plays and I
100:31think Tucker Craft is ramping up and playing like himself and like the rest of it like I don't think really matters.
100:36Yeah, this might just be the most straightforward conversation that we have all season long, unless they, you know, make a trade for a running back
100:43here in the near future for, you know, a team that might be going in the opposite direction of them. Let's put that way.
100:49Okay, let's talk the Houston Texans.
100:52Uh, Nico is put up. Just goes to show how important like the alpha wide receiver
101:03is for anyone out there. Um yeah, I mean a true number number one
101:11EPA per play with Nico Collins uh the explosive rate is 15.2% without him that would drop down to 10 EPA per
101:21play.13 without him negative. And then the most important is points per drive 2.2.
101:32Sorry, you're breaking up on on that, but I think you're talking about how good Nico Collins is. And I I'll say I
101:37totally agree on the Nico Collins front, like completely just altered the exact uh ways that the Texans were getting to their their concepts and I think that
101:46he's one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and his stats have reflected that and there's nobody else to really
101:52throw the ball to in this offense. So, moving forward, I think Nico Collins would have a he he might not be a top
101:58five fantasy wide receiver, but he's not far from that. And I think that he's going to just go crazy the rest of the
102:02way.
102:04>> Yeah, I was just citing some random EPA and, you know, points per drive numbers and all that type of stuff. Uh, I feel
102:11like every other fantasy show is going to talk about Dave Montgomery. I feel like we've already had the David Montgomery conversation, including week
102:19one, that right now he's a touchdown or bust fantasy asset and that's it. So, you kind of have to pick your spots with
102:27him. I mean, the rushing overall from this team is is just horrific. And we've seen over the last two weeks that the
102:34touchdown that they do score, Woody Marks, is the one that is out there. So, I even think it's to the point where
102:39Dave Montgomery has almost no value in terms of selling because everyone knows he's just a dead zone back at this point.
102:47>> Largely agree. Last uh three games, 5.4 expected points, 8.2, and then 6.1. And I can I feel pretty confident he's going
102:55to come under expectation. And like those are, you know, that's outside the top 30 in running backs. Um so, I guess he'd be like my running back 31
103:05or something in in rankings. Uh, but I don't feel feel great about it. Um, this week though, they they face the
103:11Tennessee Titans, so like this is like another spot where like in theory there could be some more fourth quarter carries than usual, but it's it's every
103:18other drive. It's as simple as that.
103:21>> Yeah. I mean, we've seen if you have a solid defensive line or even average, then you bully the Houston Texans
103:28defense and then I think the Titans might be at that average and they have some great players on that defensive line, too.
103:34>> Oh, yeah. So, and then it's the Jaguars after that. Like, if you play Dave Montgomery against the Jaguars, like good luck to you. You just hopefully he
103:42farts into the end zone.
103:44>> Okay.
103:45>> Yeah.
103:45>> Um, should we talk the Indianapolis Colts?
103:49Again, not that many notes here. The first one is Daniel Jones. His yards per attempt is 31st in the NFL. Obviously,
103:57when this team was number one in scoring for 10 plus games last year, uh he was a Cisco leader in every single category,
104:05but Hayden, I understand Josh Downs is out there in a bunch of two wide receiver sets. I I understand he's running slightly different routes than
104:12he did before and he's a full-time player and yada yada, but if the ceiling is put on this team, then defenses can
104:20just get closer and closer and there's just I think a limit to what Josh DS brings to the table because he's also
104:26just more of a a a volume sponge and not a tight red zone scoring type wide receiver.
104:36Two things that have stood out to me watching the Colts in general, is one, the offensive line doesn't feel as good
104:41to me as it did from a couple years ago, particularly the tackle play hasn't been quite as strong. Um, and the other thing
104:49is the yards after the catch juice in this offense has just kind of escaped and they're not going to attempt to
104:55throw the ball down the field. Like this passing chart is perfect. Uh a couple plays just like from last week there was
104:59like Lacoan Treadwell underneath catches a pass but he kind of bobbles it and then the guy just tackles him right away. Like with better wide receivers
105:07that play goes for like a huge gain and it doesn't. There's been some times where I thought the same thing with
105:11Keenan Allen. Uh I think that Tyler Warren and Josh are like definitely good players, but they're kind of limited in what you can do with them. And that's
105:21exactly where you get with Keenan Allen at this point. So, I I'm not sure they're going to dig themselves out of
105:27this kind of dink and dunk. It's It's almost like a PPR scammy kind of offense uh at this point, but they're going to
105:33like try to establish it with Jonathan Taylor first. So, I think a lot of those passing charts that we just saw, like
105:38that's going to be the mo with the Colts, and I think that Josh DS is going to like kind of hop around for a couple
105:45really nice games, but he's just not going to be this like fully breakout player. Um >> Right.
105:51>> because I just think that you can only use him in so many ways.
105:54Yeah, he was such an interesting player to talk about this summer because he was going into a role that he hasn't before.
106:00And oftentimes we attach an improved role to improved fantasy production. And while it might be that, it might only be
106:10marginal because of the offense just being much worse and he still has limitations to his game. And if you're not adding touchdowns on top of that
106:19improved role, then there's not that much of a difference in what we were getting last year.
106:24>> Yep. Totally agree with that.
106:27>> Jacksonville Jaguars, uh, great team. Some might say the best team in the AFC or top three at this point. Uh, they are interesting. Right
106:38now, they just aren't throwing the football very much. Uh, they rank 30th in pass attempts. Uh now they did have two blowout wins and so you know they
106:47ran the ball and you know didn't have to put the pellet to the dirt in fourth quarters but even in games like they
106:53lost to the Denver Broncos um or in this game that was tight with the Cincinnati Bengals that had like 23 and 29 passing
107:01attempts. So that kind of leads me to a point on Parker Washington here. If you're going to be that low in terms of
107:08passing the ball and you have this many miles to feed, that might lead to some variance or lower ceilings for PW, like
107:17against this Bengals defense, Britain Strange got eight targets because we just saw what Daltton Schultz did to them with 14 catches the previous week.
107:24And then you're down to 15 passing attempts to target four wide receivers and a running back. So, I I think that
107:30while Park Washington is easily the best pass catcher on this team, and he's still an awesome awesome awesome player, this is different than like the New
107:38Orleans Saints that are throwing at 23 more times per game.
107:41>> Yeah. Yeah. They're 30th in plays.
107:43They're they're more middle of the pack in my fancy numbers. Like neutral pass rate uh and neutral pace, they are like
107:50pretty much dead center uh on that chart there. So, I think there's going to be bigger days for for Parker Washington.
107:56Maybe not to like I had a bad ranking. I I had a bad ranking on Parker Washington like inside the top 12. Like maybe he's
108:02the the a very fun wide receiver 19 this year. Uh which would be a win versus where we drafting him. Um and then on
108:10the the film there were just too many moments where the Bengals had like seven guys at the line of scrimmage and then
108:16they quickly got the ball out to Brenton Strange where they were like, you know, tapping helmets to kind of like signal
108:20I'm just going to get the ball out really quick. There was a couple screen attempts to Brentton Strange there.
108:25There was also just some moments in isolation where Brenton Strange versus a linebacker or safety was just winning.
108:30And that's just kind of the MMO of the Bengals where like they're leaving players open over the middle of the field. That's where you should throw the
108:36football. And that's just kind of what happened there. It was not that DJ Turner like completely erased Parker Washington like that. That did not
108:43happen in this game. It was just like to your point, they didn't have that many plays. And when they did have pure
108:49dropbacks, Brennan Strange was wide open for a lot of the game. And you know that's how the cookie crumbles.
108:55>> Now they've only trailed I think for seven minutes this entire season.
108:59>> Wow.
109:00>> So we haven't seen them have to press so far. Again that speaks to how good the defense has been too. So in those
109:06moments they definitely have the talent to have Parker Washington rip off certain games or whoever else have fantastic performances. So we'll get
109:15some of those at at some point. I just wanted to lead with that because we have been >> uh this summer some of the highest
109:20rankers of Parker Washington and I know most of the viewers have >> uh have him on their team. Basel Tutin just has his backfield. I mean I
109:28understand Chris Rodriguez scored a touchdown here too, but um it's it's been really nice I think for four straight games for Bachel Tutin to show
109:36some good things. He had two touchdowns called back here.
109:39>> Yes. Uh notice that uh he's RB14 in carries per game, RB 33 in receptions per game. and he just like looks good.
109:47So that's, you know, he's been the RB 16 on RB25 usage, you know, so I think pretty start at running back 18 and move
109:55them up and down from there for my weekly rankings is how I'm going to treat it.
109:59>> Should we talk about the Kansas City Chiefs? Um, this is a tough conversation for me to have. Okay, first of all, I don't know
110:06if you saw any of like the the civil court stuff for Tyreek Hill today. It's really brutal from his ex-wife, some
110:11allegations she's making. It's really bad. So, unfortunately, I do have to ask you, Hayden, because I I brought it up on the
110:18waivers episode that there's been some links to Tyreek Hill joining the Kansas City Chiefs because of the injuries that they've had to taekwon Thornton and
110:27Rashi Rice. Um, I said that if he's 80% of what he previously was after all these injuries, then he's easily the
110:35best wide receiver on the Chiefs and I would prioritize him. Uh, if you want to answer that, you can. If you want to add
110:41more, or you don't. You don't have to.
110:44>> Uh I don't think Tyreek Hill is gonna play football again.
110:47>> Okay. Got it.
110:49>> Yep.
110:50>> Uh anything else you want to say about the Kansas City Chiefs? Like how do they replace Taekquon Thornton? How do they
110:55replace Rashi Rice? Uh >> because Patrick Holmes is playing good football. Um and they are going under center more. They're getting more single
111:04high looks. They're doing all the stuff that we want, but other than Kelsey, is there going to be anyone to maximize
111:09them? because this answer would have been really easy if we got Taekquin Thornton healthy, but unfortunately he's going to miss the remainder of the year.
111:16>> I hadn't seen this passing chart, but that is exactly what we're talking about this off seasonason in that they're going to be more under center. They're
111:23going to run the ball and then they're going to take more shot plays, you know, like traditional football. Uh, and that's what we got there. But it's just
111:28going to be much harder to do without Taekquin. I think this is a team that can get somebody for pretty cheap um,
111:34moving forward. Calvin Ridley kind of, you know, Jerry Judy. There there's veterans out here that could help them out there with for the Taekquon Thornton
111:42stuff. So, I don't know who that's going to be yet. It's good news for Rashi Rice that the Chiefs have a buy this week.
111:48So, I think, you know, the stuff that we're talking about right now, it's not going to largely matter for the big
111:52chunk of the season. I think that they will make a move for somebody because they can't do, you know, Jaylen Royals
111:58uh out there. They don't trust him. They never used them. And that Cyrus Allen is not a downfield threat. So, the player
112:03that's coming into this role is not on the football team currently, and I can't wait to see who it is.
112:08>> Yeah, I wonder if we get some answers. I mean, we'll have to after that by-week, and they'll have some, you know, extra
112:15time to think about it and figure it out like Royals played almost every single snap when Roshi Rice went down and it
112:20didn't matter like he was non-existent.
112:22The really one play he's made this year uh has been that one near the goal line um that he kind of leaked out and then
112:28scored a touchdown on. So, um we'll see.
112:32Next, let's talk about Brock Bowers. Uh, our buddy Adam Levitan on this Las Vegas Raiders team pointed
112:41out where Brock Bowers is, you know, lining up out wide, 61 snaps, slot 45 snaps, inline 16 snaps, and the
112:50backfield just two snaps. He's run 83 of 90 routes on Kirk Cousins drop backs this year. uh you termed him immediately
112:59a round one pick after he got back on the field and that is only being proven out more and more.
113:05>> He's averaging 19.1 expected half PPR points. That is, you know, that's would be the wide receiver one overall. Uh like if he keeps this up, we're talking
113:15about an alltime season. It's it's as simple as that. And I have no reason to think that this is not going to be kept
113:20up. um we saw them trailing and last week and you know the ball's just going to get funneled to him more so in in
113:27those environments. So yeah, I would take him easily in the first round and hopefully his knee could hold up. Yep.
113:34It's the Patriots and the Bills over the next two games here for Brock Powers. I mean this is this is the stuff we want. It it is
113:42almost symmetrical every single week where you just see these inbreakers from each of the slot uh every single time.
113:49overs and overs and overs and crossing routes >> and it's great like Clint Kubak knows how to funnel the football to his best
113:55players and he is funning the football to Brock Powers.
113:59>> That Kurt Cousins touchdown to Bowers where he was buying some times, spun around and I forget which Chiefs defender it was was like staring at him,
114:06couldn't believe his eyes. Uh I thought that play was was awesome. Uh, I will say real quick on the running backs,
114:13they're really low on that bottom left quadrant in a lot of the rushing metrics, you know, like >> once again, like, you know, it's
114:21>> I think it everyone's kind of a little bit at blame here. I think that Genty made some nice plays and other plays
114:27just couldn't fully hit the hole. Um, uh, so yeah, I think he's going to be a a totally fine pick. He's the RB10 and
114:34RB3 usage, so the usage is there. Uh we just we're waiting for the big explosive plays from him. He caught that one ball
114:40and and got to the corner. Uh but you know he's he's he's the only outlier at running back when it turns in terms of
114:48like my models expected points and how many points they're actually scoring right now. So just waiting for more data I guess.
114:55>> Yeah. And you know how they open the game in the first three series as I talked about on Sunday it was nine snaps
114:59for one, nine snaps for the other. And so some assumptions were made that hey is that because you know they wanted
115:07Mike Washington to get more of the rushing work and then Ashen Genty still recovering from this ankle and all that type of stuff. But obviously in the
115:14second half uh it was a lot more Ashen Genty. So maybe that's a tell that we'll get that more so moving forward. I just
115:21simply wanted to end on Kurt Cousins. Uh you pointed out he's making some plays.
115:26I think he leads the NFL in touchdown passes right now with 11. Um, so far over the last three weeks, the
115:33quarterback 10, the quarterback 11, and the quarterback four, the first week against the Dolphins was the only week he did not throw down the field. We know
115:41this Clint Kubak offense, you have to throw down the field, and you do it very successfully.
115:46>> I mean, are we in territory with by-week fillins for Bryce Young and >> whoa, >> Patrick Mahomes? Are we in bi-week
115:54fill-in territory here with Kurt Cousins with how he's playing right now?
115:59Um, the Raiders are projecting for 21 points this upcoming week in New England, you know, so that's 20th. And Kirk Cousins,
116:07you know, he's running more than he has before, but he's not running at all like for actual fantasy points. So, you know,
116:14uh, I would say no, not not in this matchup.
116:17>> Okay. I mean, I would also say the Kansas City is at home, but the Kansas City Chiefs defense is better than the
116:21Patriots one, and he just posted a quarterback four-week on that. So, it's uh, he's playing good football. I mean, it's very Kurt Cousins of I'm gonna hit
116:29my back foot and let it rip and we'll see where the football goes. But, uh, he's decisive. He's playing good enough
116:35to keep Fernando on the bench.
116:37>> Let's talk LA Chargers.
116:40Again, we could talk a lot or we could talk a little about the Chargers. That's where they are at this moment. Um, I
116:48kind of want to go into the some fantasy narratives here real quick. Like, there's been a lot of love for Katon
116:54Mitchell this week. I would love to get your thoughts on it. I know that the backfield is split split three ways and
116:58I know that Keaton Mitchell is up to about 45% of backfield touches, but just overall I do not see this getting to the
117:05point where Mike McDaniel builds a rushing attack around Katon Mitchell and also to the point where the team environment is good enough for us to
117:14want to start Katon Mitchell every single week, especially with now this Ray Sean Slater massive injury.
117:22Yeah, the Raan injury, the lad makoni injury on top of it, you know, like they're going to be bottom fiveish in
117:28projected points I think for the next couple games here. So, you know, that's the starting point. The second starting point is Kamani Vidal is playing on pure
117:37passing situations like late down snaps and he was getting some some run early in that game and then Omar and Hampton
117:43gets the goal line carry in this one even though they were down uh a couple scores late in that game. So, it it's an
117:50uphill battle like five different ways for Katon Mitchell. All that said, he was the RB29 in usage in week three and
117:56then the RB26 in usage last week against the Bills and the Seahawks. So, like he should be very close to Omar and Hampton
118:05in weekly rankings moving forward. Uh Hampton's more likely to score a touchdown and I mean at this point more likely to catch some passes and maybe
118:12rip an explosive. Like that does feel like it's Keaton Mitchell. You ultimately just don't want either one of them in your fantasy lineup. So,
118:20>> correct. Uh like I I I keep mentioning, hey, Trey Harris could be a nice ad because of this lad injury because he's
118:26just out playing Quinton Johnson, I feel like. And then you look at the schedule and you look at the projected totals and
118:31yeah, it's about 17 and a half each and every game. And and how would you want to and you know that's before these
118:37offensive line injuries hit. So like how would you want to invest in in that team at this point? Okay. Anything on the LA
118:46Rams? Again, very straightforward here.
118:48We got Pukanakua back. Hayden, you know, on this show, we love to talk about our death league. I think it is now three
118:55straight weeks who the person that either had or added Puka to their roster has been killed off in our Yahoo Deathly. You and I are still at it.
119:06>> Uh Hayden, I might be the fourth. We'll see.
119:10>> Yeah. Well, I have $11, so it's not going to be me most likely. Um the puka stuff is uh very challenging um
119:19because he's awesome and at the same time he has a pre-inj pre hernia which means that he's got a partial hernia
119:27which means he's I think kind of likely to have the full hernia and I forget which player somebody just had hernia
119:34surgery and they're like he's we'll we'll see him in six six weeks. I forget who it was.
119:39>> Excuse me. It's uh Tank Bsby.
119:41>> Tank Bsby. Yes, that's right. Um I mean what are the odds he's out six weeks like versus what are the odds? He is the
119:50highest scoring player at wide receiver for the rest of the season. Like that's the range of outcomes on Puka Nakua. Um
119:57I thought that he had a great game here obviously. Um I didn't say that he was like there goes the speed. So like I
120:04wouldn't be surprised if he's like you know he's at 85% health but he's so physical. His ball skills are so good.
120:09he's such a focal point of the offense uh that he's still going to get it done as a top five fantasy wide receiver, but
120:15like I would be open to selling him depending on, you know, like what you're getting back. You better get like some
120:20awesome players back, but the the prehousia stuff like that that that is making me nervous. Um so yeah, that's all I got.
120:29>> Okay, what do we do quickly with Devonte Adams when Puka is out there? Um, I'm just looking for it because Devonte
120:37Adams was the wide receiver 62 this week at 5.2 fantasy points and he was the wide receiver of 41 in week one when
120:44Pukanaku was also out there and then in between, you know, just a cool 35 and 17 fantasy points when Pukanaku was out.
120:51>> This is where you have to smooth the lines. He was the wide receiver 10 in expected points last week despite the
120:57pretty much like airball in the box score. He was this close to a almost perfect pass from Matthew Stafford in the back of the end zone that hit his
121:05hands barely. And then there was another hole shot that barely was missed as well. So when I on the recap show I was
121:12saying that Stafford was like barely off. It was the throws particularly to Devonte Adams. It was not because he's not getting the right volume. He had
121:20nine targets last week. So there's enough for both of them to to get home.
121:25Uh they're projected for the second most points. So what's to do with Adams? Do you play him as a wide receiver? One.
121:31>> All right, let's talk next about the Miami Dolphins.
121:37Uh Ali Gordon broke fantasy football group think. Uh it was basically like two counterplays. Like I I tried to remember them during the recap show, but
121:47it looked like the same run over and over. And while some slight differences, it was to the same spot. Uh he did pull
121:53away. He he did create some yards on his own and it was against the Minnesota Vikings defense. Um you know maybe like I actually thought
122:02about this afterwards of hey we all think this is going to happen with Ali Gordon because he's going to split work
122:10with Jaylen Wright which really didn't happen that much and you know Devon Achan who's a better player was only scoring 9.5 fantasy points blah blah
122:18blah. But Hayden, should we have been on the opposite end of this to the point where how often does a running back
122:25starter wind up on the waiver wire? And really, no matter who that is or what the environment is, we should not
122:33blindly put money into that, but care more about that than all the other noise that's attached to it.
122:39>> Nope. I'm going to double down. I think that Ali Gordon is a sell and I don't think he's going to be very fantasy
122:45relevant. Uh first of all, Jaylen Wright got the first uh running back uh carries of the game as you can see on the chart
122:51there. Uh he ran all Gordon ran seven routes. Um so he's not going to get that part of the uh playbook. He was out
122:59there for 22 of 39 snaps throughout the game. I I think he's an okay NFL backup, but I don't think that he's going to
123:05like make the most out of his touches.
123:07And that was the fir first week back for Jaylen Wright coming off of injury as well. Uh and Jaylen Wright was ahead of
123:14Oie Gordon. um uh in like training camp as well. So, I think this one is far from uh over. He was the RB 36 in
123:22expected points. He had two big runs. It happens. Uh but most of the time there's not going to be big runs in this
123:28offense. And I think that both of these players are going to be in my RB30s. Uh and you know, if people are treating him
123:35as like a RB2 moving forward, I would absolutely sell it. Anything you want to say about your guy Chris Bell who nearly
123:43had an awesome 80 plus yard touchdown uh yet his right pinky toe was out of bounds.
123:49>> This isn't one of the offenses I haven't watched uh in in the past game. So more on that later, I guess.
123:55>> Got it.
123:56>> Yes. And more on Malik Washington who truly is like a five for 45 player each and every week. So your PPR scam uh you
124:04know by-week fillain that his name is Malik Washington. Moving on, the New York Jets.
124:11Um, you can't really talk about their offense when they have 32 plays. I will say on some level, this could potentially be the worst kind of
124:19defense, the one we talk about a lot, where they give up yards, but not in huge chunks, just over and over long series because
124:30they can't get stops. Uh or that's just, you know, the Ben Johnson special and we don't have to worry about that in other
124:35games when they don't face the Chicago Bears.
124:37>> Yeah. Fourth fewest plays in a game uh in NFL history, the Jets at 32. Um good news is Brilland Allen was out there for
124:4530 of the 32. So >> yep, that's going to be enough. The the floor was set last week. He was the RB28
124:52and expected half PPR points, 14 carries, two receptions. Typically, you've run literally twice as many plays as what the the Jets did. So, I I'm
125:00still holding the line as a rock solid RB2.
125:04>> Yep, I'm I'm right there with you. I was just going to check where the New York Jets are in projected points this week.
125:10Uh they're at 21 and a quarter against the Browns, favored by two and a half.
125:15So, this is your Brillin Allen spot.
125:17>> That is very little respect for the Cleveland Browns. Okay, I screwed up. We meant to do the Philadelphia Eagles near the top. I did
125:26not copy them to the top. So, now let's talk about the Philadelphia Eagles.
125:30Hayden, there's a lot happening. Lane Johnson today announced his retirement. I know you have some off onslits and just wins
125:40and losses overall with Lane Johnson in and out of the lineup. What are they?
125:45>> He had a 66% winning percentage in his career starts in the uh 2021 era with Jaylen Herz. They won 75% of their games
125:55without uh Lane Johnson. they won 41% of their games. Uh over those last five or six years, they've scored 4.7 more
126:03points per game with him in the lineup than without him. Like that is almost impossible to be that good where like as
126:09a right tackle you have that severe of onoff splits. But that's partially because the quarterback and his sensitivity to pressure. And then I
126:16would say also just over the years the Eagles like pass protection plan has just been a little bit wonky. And I
126:22think this year it's gotten worse. Uh, so as I kick it over to you, my biggest thing is the Eagles have a 23%
126:30unblocked pressure rate this year. 65% of their pressures are of the unblocked variety. Uh, I was listening to the QB school break this one down uh on the the
126:41the Herz dropbacks.
126:43There is just not enough of a plan for pass protection and Jaylen Herz doesn't set protections and the modern defenses.
126:51I think maybe the the biggest thing most recently is it seems like the defenses know the pass protection rules as well
126:58as the offenses do. And if you have a weakness there, they're going to just gnaw at it for the rest of the game. So,
127:04no one else is near them in unblocked pressure rate in the entire NFL. The Dolphins are kind of close to them, but
127:09it really is they're an outlier team and I think that's for structural reasons and that will only get worse without Lane Johnson.
127:17>> Yeah. Someone on the Eagles beat said that both Kevin Patula last year and Shawn Manian this year have said that
127:23they can't do certain things on offense because of what the defense is doing. Uh a great point from Deontay Lee who said
127:31it's funny that the way Philly talks about their offense is never how you hear Ben Johnson, Shawn McFahan or KC talk about their offense. Let the
127:40Eagles coaches tell it. They're only offense in football that get defensive looks that make the game inconvenient.
127:48Uh yeah, I mean you should dictate things. The defense should not dictate things to you. Um, it kind of goes back to I mean this is a
127:58yearslong conversation about Jaylen Herz that in Super Bowls in pivotal moments he's had some of his best games. But then when you have unfortunate
128:08situations and the Eagles are probably in the most unfortunate situation now than they have been versus a couple years ago when they
128:15went on that losing streak to end the year and you know Todd BS blitz him to death and he had no answer for it. we're
128:20just gonna back in that, you know, and it doesn't feel like this one is any different than that. And it feels worse.
128:27And to me, Hayden, this is almost an end of an era steamrolling towards us where the Lane Johnson stuff that you just
128:34brought up. You have Landon Dickerson who has been fantastic and then he sucked in week one and basically removed himself. Cam Jurgens, his replacement at
128:46center, now has to move to left guard and he's been arguably one of the worst offensive linemen in the league and now
128:52he's self-reported for a concussion. And then I think there are some other pieces where, you know, they make the AJ Brown
128:58trade and then Howie Roseman has been put in a position and he's been fantastic for the last decade of building this roster to what it is to
129:06replace pieces on defense like Nikobe Dean's gone. So Jihad Campbell pops in.
129:10Well, Jiad Campbell's not playing like Nico Dean was, right? Then you have at the safety spot, Reed Blankenship. Well, Makuba's not playing that way either.
129:18Um, then you lose AJ Brown, so you sign Mai or Jack Mai Lemon and Eli Sters.
129:23That's not a one to one here. So, Saquon Barkley, well, you're not blocking for him. And he's left two games after three
129:30snaps because he's injured in both. So the wheels are coming off, you know, and when the wheels come off and bad things
129:37happen, people in Philadelphia talk as they should and then after kind of putting the quarterback in a bit of a bubble, now we can ask questions about
129:47it and then that goes up to the head coach and the OC on top of it because the head coach and the OC and especially
129:52the head coach who doesn't call plays on either side of the ball is not really a problem solver right now. So what does
129:57that give you Hayden? Where does that put the Eagles right now in the rest of the season?
130:02I think the season's largely a wrap. I think they're like too good to like completely kind of fall out of out of
130:07the picture, but like they're at best a wild card team to me. And I think that Nixie is not going to survive till 2027.
130:14You know, hire Roseman gets really aggressive and I think that he's realizing what he has at at head coach right now. And looking at the Jaylen
130:21Herz contract, they could get out of his contract uh this off seasonason. They would not be eating uh they wouldn't be
130:28saving that much money. they would they would be eating like $42 million or so.
130:33Uh but you know in the modern NFL like teams have shown that they they can do that. And 2027 like that's his like last
130:39year where he's actually like on the roster for sure. So I I think it's well said this is the end of the era. You
130:45know Brandon Graham, Lane Johnson, Kelsey, all those guys are out of there.
130:50The trenches is a completely new era.
130:52And I think that how he builds through the trenches and I think that he's realizing everything beyond the trenches. They have to kind of start
130:58from scratch. I think that's going to be for sure at head coach and play caller.
131:01And then I think maybe even Jaylen Herz is kind of this could be like the last season that they like really look at him
131:06as the franchise player.
131:08>> And don't get me wrong, windows to win are real and they won in this window.
131:12You know, they've been fantastic.
131:14>> Yes.
131:14>> But they aren't immune to it. Now, at the same time, someone of Howie Roseman's caliber who's kind of already done this in the past, too. Uh that can
131:23turn around in an off season or two. We have seen that across the league as well. So, I'm not saying an end of the
131:29window means that the team is going to stink and suffer for long. Uh, I just think that some of the headline pieces
131:37are going to move away as we go through this. Like you said, >> how he gets aggressive.
131:42>> Speaking of replacements, is your read that Will Shipley comes in here and is the lead ball carrier for the Philadelphia Eagles?
131:50>> It is my read. Um, but I think the problem with that is the Eagles are projected for 17 and 3/4 points against
131:58Jacksonville and >> yep, >> you know, if Saquon Barkley, >> it could be a multi-week thing, you know, like yes, >> it the Saquon hamstring looked awful. He
132:09he could barely walk on it. So, I understand the matchup against the Jaguars is horrific and it's a seven and a half point spread at this point, but
132:18Will Shipley is one of these players who came into the league as mostly a passing down guy. You and I have joked that he
132:22looks bigger in the NFL than he did in college.
132:25>> He does.
132:26>> Uh he's I don't think had more than 10 carries in a game, but I would like to think that he will own the backfield in
132:34comparison to Damen Pierce and Jaden Blue here.
132:38>> Yeah. Yeah, I mean no one has trusted Jaden Blue ever and Damen Pierce is, you know, Damen Pierce at this point. So, I
132:45think it's I think it's very clearly going to be Will Shipley and he got the ball a lot in college in all phases. So,
132:50I think it's kind of one of those where like this will be the best two weeks of his career and like the most involved
132:55he'll be and he he handled the ball at Clemson a ton. Uh so, I think they're going to live and die by it. I think the
133:02offensive line is completely smoked.
133:03Like, I don't know what Cam Jurgens is is doing out there for a lot of those snaps.
133:08Yeah. And you know they've already replaced like they had to move him to left guard to get the second string or
133:16really the third string center in and then no second string and now they have to get either the third string center in
133:21or the third string left guard in and then also the second string right tackle who's Markeel Bell and he's a massive
133:26human being. But there's going to be some ups and downs there for sure.
133:29>> Yes. But on on the with with the backup center, they failed a tush push and then they also had a fumbled or bobbled
133:36exchange in short yardage. So like going to the backup center like making some pretty critical errors for the the Eagles and they lost that game because
133:46in short yardage they couldn't pick up first downs.
133:50>> Yep. Let's talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers. Um they are the second best team when going under center this year.
133:58Now again, we're not talking about number of snaps there, but um anything you want to say here on the Steelers and
134:04what they look like outside of Jaylen Warren owning that backfield.
134:09>> You know, I was going to bring up Jaylen Warren. Uh he's been awesome uh as the starter. He doesn't come off the field.
134:15Uh I saw a report that they're going to get Rico D back involved once he comes back. Like, you know, it's not going to
134:20be the same split as it was. Like, you cannot watch these two players and think that they deserve equal touches. So, um,
134:27yeah, I think Jay Warren's good at football. And then, uh, I think the offensive line is in a better place now
134:32than it was like in the first week or two of the season. Um, and I think that's going to help everybody.
134:39>> Yep. I agree. Uh, I'm I'm at the point, well, in one of my leagues, I have to start DK Metaf on a weekly basis. Uh, he
134:44is the wide receiver 35. He's a roller coaster, but again, with the offensive line improving, he's been, you know, had two nice weeks at 10.6 and 14. Yes.
134:53Fantasy points per game over the last two. I mean, he is clearly their their best wide receiver. The Roman Wilson stuff is off and on, off and on in that,
135:02you know, in week three, he has the tip that leads to an interception and then he's benched for Jeremy Bernard and
135:08Harry pops back and he's one of these like small dose players that when he gets targeted on the field, it's big
135:13explosives. So, it's almost a thorn in our side for someone like DK Metaf.
135:19>> Yeah. Um, I don't think he's involved enough to to trust. Um, but I will say like the Michael Pitman stuff, like
135:28>> nobody has ever like spoken positively about Michael Pitman in Pittsburgh so far, which is like so strange to me because like Indianapolis absolutely
135:34loved him and he's a veteran and stuff.
135:35Like I don't know what's going on with with all that, but um yeah, I'm not doing the Roman Wilson stuff.
135:42>> Okay, San Francisco 49ers. I mean, I almost want to lead off with maybe the best fantasy pickup so far this season after week one. Debo Samuel
135:53is the wide receiver 15 on the year. Uh getting pieces offenses was, you know, somewhat cheap. It's gotten more expensive and yet he was the cheapest.
136:02He was totally free for all of you. And uh he's going to be playing a lot of snaps because they are rotating with Mike Evans and
136:11the rib and dbo Sammy on a snap count and they just don't have that many bodies out there. In fact, they lost
136:16Calus check for a bit of time here, too.
136:19>> Yeah, he's cleared 15 fantasy points in three or four games. Um, he kind of does it in new ways every single week. On top
136:25of that, uh, yeah, I I think that he's he's running really pure obviously on, you know, you score an 80 yard hook and
136:31ladder touchdown, like things things are going well. But, uh, the 49ers still haven't allowed a sack. So, you know, that's a lot of drop backs that are
136:40converting to fantasy points. Uh, and Brock Party's playing well. Shanahan's absolutely in his bag. Um, and you know, everyone else is playing playing through
136:51stuff. And Debo, Debo Samuel is like healthy right now.
136:55>> Yes, big agree. I mean, we haven't seen anything about CMC or Brock Perie. They are easy, easy starts on a weekly basis.
137:02And George KD is the same exact thing.
137:05One of the best values in drafts this summer. Uh, Seattle Seahawks are next.
137:10Um, they was reported they were going to sign Joe Mixon to the practice squad and Joe Mixon is not joining this team's
137:18practice squad. So, Hayden, I think you kind of could have viewed him as maybe some insurance until Zack Sharp came back, but this only adds to the Emanuel
137:28Wilson work moving forward. A guy that got four targets in week four, including two design screens and then an escort screen on top of that, too.
137:38>> Yep.
137:40I mean, this is what a top 15ish fantasy running back looks like. He was RB 15 exactly in in fant expected fantasy
137:48points last week and then he was better than that in the actual box score. You know, I think he's had like some moments
137:54on film. I'm not going to say he's a great player, but he's good enough to kind of hold the line and I think the
137:59Zack Sharon stuff they'll be realistic and get him out there in about a month from now. Um, so I will have an very
138:06aggressive ranking on Emanuel Wilson.
138:07you can only use George Hani in the ways they've used George Hani which has been as a receiver and then a change of pace
138:13guy like you know at the 42 yard line.
138:15So he's going to get all the goal line touchdowns and you know I still trust this this offense.
138:21I should have brought this up when I talked about the 49ers but these two teams are playing each other for the
138:2649ers and the point totals we've seen attached to them. It's different against this Seahawks defense. They're projected for fewer than 22 points. So, we can use
138:35this Seahawks team to talk about the 49ers despite a 21 and 3/4 points projection. You're still going with obviously Brock Pury and George KD and
138:45then CMC is a no-brainer. Yeah. But what about the the peripheral pieces?
138:50>> Um, we have a wide receiver ranking show that I I'll have to >> finalize my my final points with Mike
138:57Evans and Debo, but >> wide receiver 27 right now is not that strong across the league. And you know, like if I'm playing Marvin Harrison in a
139:06league, then I think that DVO Samuel and Mike Evans are like right right in that mix as well.
139:10>> Final note on the Seahawks, uh they did get like two legit design carries for Rashid Shahed. Uh I'm not saying he's
139:17going to get like 10 running back snaps out there, but that is if you talk about change of pace, you could not get more
139:23different in change of pace between Emanuel Wilson and Rashid Shahed in terms of getting to the edge and the speed and and catching defenses off
139:31balance. Let's put it that way. Yes, totally agree. Two more quick on >> Yes.
139:35>> on JSN uh Yahoo drafters that drafted JSN have won 62% of their games. That's the highest of any wide receiver through
139:43four weeks. Uh that's higher than the Jir Gibbs teams and the Bejon teams at 101 and 102. So JSN, I mean just like
139:52even with last week's down performance, uh has just been absolutely shredding it.
139:57>> And especially if you were able to draft him eighth overall, right, Hayden? That must be a lot. Yeah, >> pretty good. That was insane. Insane.
140:06>> Okay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
140:10So, I went back and watched every single drop back of Jaylen Daniels and in the nicest way possible, I want to say that
140:17he was not the worst quarterback in week four and not even close to the worst quarterback in week four. I'll go as far
140:25to say, Aiden, that Jaylen Daniels is kind of fun. you know, yeah, he was ripping >> some some passes against zone. And if
140:34Zack Robinson and these wide receivers gave him a bit more space to those pass catchers in tight man coverage, then Jaylen Daniels day would have been even
140:43easier because he was trying to fire it in there against corners that were hanging on wide receivers and they couldn't come down with passes for him.
140:51>> I would say I'm a fan for life with Jaylen Daniels after that game alone.
140:56like that guy was there were guys just draped all over him the entire game. The Buck we talked about this in previous uh
141:04episodes. The Buccaneers offensive line is definitely not the best offensive line in the NFL right now. And I we we don't I don't know if that's exactly
141:10coaching or whatever it is. I haven't studied it in detail enough to to know that. But I would say that's been an
141:15issue. He's trying to make plays down the field in some tight windows, but that is a lot of tight windows. And I
141:21would say on the Chris Godwin, Cade Uton uh in particular, those two got the ball a lot. That was >> not a whole lot of yak moments between
141:30all those guys and some crucial drops along the way. And then I would even say a mecha Ibuka is not quite as explosive
141:37as I wanting wanting him to be as well.
141:39Um so yeah, I think you know Jaylen was not like the the primary reason why they lost that game. like I thought like
141:46everyone did their part of losing that game and he attempted a couple throws, ran a little bit on top of that and um I
141:55think he's going to be a long-term backup. I I liked what I saw.
141:58>> What was the end of game sequence that they had inside the five-yard line?
142:04>> Okay. Um so talking about the running backs situation in general.
142:07>> Yes. Yes.
142:10So, the Buccaneers had uh five plays with one yard to go throughout the game.
142:16Two of them were in the two-minute drill, and those went to Kenny Gainwell.
142:20So, there was other moments where it was second and one or third and one, a couple of them at the goal line. Shawn
142:25Tucker subbed in for all three of those runs. He only played three snaps that game. So, Shawn Tucker played three snaps. They were all with one yard to
142:33go, including the goal line touchdown.
142:35And that goes to the point with Bucky Irving is now that we've kind of rec-alibrated what this offense is going to be and Shawn Tucker's now entering in
142:42on all the short yardage work and Kenny Gainwell's playing in the two-minute drill. I mean, that's a difficult profile to get home for uh Bucky Irving.
142:53Um so he's gonna be he's gonna be very low.
142:57Like warning, he's going to be extremely low in my running back rankings this next week. Uh kind of until proven otherwise.
143:04Yeah, the Zack Robinson got on the microphone and said, "I I need to figure out ways to get Shawn Tucker and Kenny
143:10Gainwell the football." That that is not the biggest issue with your offense, my friend. I think the biggest issue with Zack Robinson is the opposite of what I
143:18brought up with uh Edzik earlier in terms of their zero variety in what Zack Robinson brings to the table. They've
143:26been in 11 personnel 83, 85, and 90% of the time in three of the games this season. It's it's just all too
143:33predictable. And >> yeah, >> sure, he like spams emotions. He he does all that type of stuff, but uh I I'm not
143:40sure if Zack Robinson is cut out to be a play caller in the NFL. I am at that point based on what we saw last year
143:46with the Atlanta Falcons, based on what we're seeing this year with this team.
143:50The entire league is going to more diverse looks and he's not he's kind of stuck of what this used to be. So, um I
143:58don't know. they they they were not doing their undrafted free agent quarterback that many favors from a protection standpoint. He created a lot
144:04of plays, shrugging off sacks, solving problems, and we have seen the best play callers in the NFL solve problems for their backup quarterbacks.
144:14And that certainly was not Zack Robinson.
144:16>> Yep. Yeah. I I like Jaylen Daniels. Like he's kind of an agent of chaos and like I'm here for it.
144:25>> Whole world's going to see him on Thursday Night Football. Like I think that's kind of exciting cuz I doubt anyone went back and watched him in this
144:30game. Now they are eight and a half point underdogs. But uh you know Jaylen Daniels I think is going to make that
144:36one a bit more exciting. A bit more exciting than that.
144:38>> I think he's good enough to like make some throws against the Cowboys like pretty bad secondary right now. Like you
144:44know I'm not sure if I'm going to be starting a Mecca cuz but like it's not as dire of a situation as it could have
144:50been.
144:51>> Yeah. I've won Dynasty League where I have Lamar and Bryce Young as my quarterbacks and with I think it's Kirk
144:59Cousins as a fillin. So, I have to make the call if I want to start Jaylen Daniels on Thursday night over Lamar and
145:08anticipate him missing this game or not have a superflex quarterback in that league. So, it's rough.
145:13>> I would go Jayla.
145:14>> I think I would go Jayla.
145:15>> Me, too. Me, too. Okay, let's close with the Washington Commanders here. Uh, just like what I talked about with who was it? Uh, Keon Coleman earlier in
145:25the episode. If I knew that Terry McLaren was going to miss this game, I would be scooping up Antonio Williams everywhere because he looks very, very
145:34good to my eyeballs. And I think if he played in two wide receiver sets and played over 70% of the time or let's say
145:4270%, uh, he would get a ton of fancy points. And I actually think that there's some hidden value here because his 80 yard touchdown got called back in
145:50comparison to Deami Brown and Trayon Burks uh having their long play stick.
145:57>> This is a team I have not watched yet, so I'll keep my notes pretty >> pretty light. Yeah, I Antonio Williams
146:03like an interesting prospect. Kind of an inside outside kind of physical slot wide receiver type uh to me like maybe a
146:09little bit better at the catch point than other wide receivers um that kind of been drafted in that range. So, I'm
146:15open to it.
146:16>> He He's one of the players that I think looks different in the NFL than he did in college in that he has more outside
146:22juice and outside speed than I was anticipating. Uh, and I I kind of compared him to Tyler Boyd who is more
146:29of, you know, the power slotish type thing underneath type player. Uh, and Tony Williams should be good enough that I think still all of you should go out
146:36and pick him up. maybe not spend as much, but because Deami Brown and Trayon Burks are still getting like 50 to 60%
146:44of the routes and snaps here, at some point you would like to think that that's going to even out and it's going
146:50to go more towards the rookie. And when it does, and then when they run 11 personnel stuff, Antonio Williams could be the biggest beneficiary of that. So,
146:56so stay ahead and get ahead on the rookie. All right, let's close out the show.
147:02>> Let's close out the show. Thank you all for tuning in. This has been a long episode. I I can tell. Uh, thank you all
147:09for watching. We have rankings episodes tomorrow and on Friday with uh top five fantasy football ranker in the world, Hayden Winks, right now. Let's get to
147:21four and three and two and one by the end this season. And you all can help us out by tuning in for those episodes.
147:28Thanks to the production team behind the scenes and all of you for watching Up Develop. We'll see you guys next time.
