Alec Pierce

PositiveRole0:12

Alec Pierce is transitioning into becoming a more complete wide receiver and is a legit NFL wide receiver being paid as one.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:12

Alec Pierce underwent ankle surgery in the offseason after initially trying to rehab it, with a revised recovery timeline of four to six months and a goal to return late in training camp, raising concerns about his availability and performance early in the season.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:12

Alec Pierce led the NFL in yards per catch for the second straight season at 21.3 yards and was a wide receiver 10 in his last four games, scorching the Texans twice down the stretch.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:13

With Michael Pitman gone, Alec Pierce's role in the Colts offense could improve, though there is no clear depth chart separation as Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Josh Downs are battling him for two-wide-receiver set snaps.

Insight page
NegativeValue0:14

Despite falling only three spots in ADP from 73rd to 76th overall, Alec Pierce's draft slot is expected to drop further as more players show out in training camp and preseason, making him a fade at current draft capital.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:15

If Alec Pierce returns late in training camp, the opening four weeks of the season will likely be slow, creating a boom-bust profile that makes him risky at his current seventh-round ADP.

Insight page

Brandon Aiyuk

NegativeRole0:26

Aiyuk's status as an NFL wide receiver is questionable after missing training camp and posting a 208-pound weight on social media, raising concerns about his commitment and fit.

Insight page
NegativeBust0:26

Aiyuk could be released immediately upon showing up to the 49ers facility, having not helped himself with his off-field behavior and missing training camp.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:26

Aiyuk is currently priced at 194th overall on Underdog and is essentially going undrafted, but the analyst believes he is much better than that and is buying him at this discount.

Insight page
NegativeBust0:27

Aiyuk is trying to force his way to Washington and has not been seen in training camp, with historical precedent suggesting missing training camp significantly impacts early season production.

Insight page

Brenton Strange

PositiveRole0:10

Brenton Strange is liked and will receive some receptions in the Jaguars offense, adding to the competition for targets.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveBreakout0:08

Brian Thomas is lighting things up in training camp and has a chance to break out in a big way with the Jaguars offense.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:32

Brian Thomas is mentioned as part of a cluster of wide receivers in the same draft range as Roma Dun (wide receiver 21-29, fourth to fifth round).

Insight page
PositiveValue0:32

Part of an elite cluster of WRs being drafted with confidence alongside Roman Dunce, Christian Watson, Colonel Tate, and Jordan Tyson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection8:28

Lighting things up in training camp after a period where he struggled; expected to be a primary target for Jacksonville.

Insight page

Calvin Ridley

PositiveUsage0:16

Calvin Ridley only cleared 33 yards per game last year at 44.5 yards in a half season, indicating limited production and target share concerns on the Titans.

Insight page
NegativeUsage0:16

Calvin Ridley was the only Titans player to clear 33 yards per game last season, averaging just 44.5 yards per game over a half season, indicating limited offensive volume for Titans receivers.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection0:16

Cam Ward's film was mildly concerning with inconsistent play, and offseason reports consistently show he's struggling in the new Titans offense, raising concerns about his supporting cast's fantasy viability.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeProjection0:16

Despite liking Carnell Tate individually, the analyst is concerned about his fantasy outlook due to Cam Ward's concerning film, a brand new Titans offense, and potential for him to finish as WR40 despite being priced as WR30.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:17

Despite concerns about the Titans offense, Carnell Tate is viewed as a great value at WR30 due to his fourth overall draft capital in 2026, with massive upside if Cam Ward plays at an above-average level.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeInjury0:20

Dealing with blood clots that kept him out of week 18 last year and is still recovering; currently doing individual drills only, not team drills due to contact restrictions. Analysts are monitoring but note this is a third-round pick with 10% risk of lingering complications.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:20

Chris Lave is dealing with blood clots and is still recovering from them after being kept out of the Week 18 game last year, a serious health concern heading into the season.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:20

Blood clots are concerning combined with concussion history; doing individual drills but not team drills due to contact restrictions. Analysts are monitoring but not fading him strictly because of injuries.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:21

Despite being sidelined with blood clots, Olave has climbed in ADP since mid-May from 33 overall to 29 overall, moving from WR14 to WR12.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveValue0:32

Christian Watson is mentioned as part of a cluster of wide receivers in the same draft range as Roma Dun (wide receiver 21-29, fourth to fifth round).

Insight page
PositiveValue0:32

Part of an elite cluster of WRs being drafted with confidence alongside Roman Dunce, Colonel Tate, Brian Thomas, and Jordan Tyson.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

PositiveBust0:00

Sutton is a strict fade at his current draft slot (WR38, 8th pick of round 7) due to age (turning 30), the arrival of Jaylen Waddle, and expected target share decline from 21% last year. His 775-yard projection is likely too optimistic given Waddle's first-rounder-plus acquisition and Sean Payton's quick-hitting offense that favors Waddle over Sutton.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

PositiveValue0:14

DK Metcalf is being drafted in a similar range to Alec Pierce, around the seventh round, making them comparable values in the current market.

Insight page

Elijah Moore

PositiveRole0:17

Elijah Moore is part of a crowded Titans receiving corps that will spread targets more evenly, creating concerns about individual target share.

Insight page

Isaac TeSlaa

NegativeUsage0:28

Isaac Teslaw goes two rounds ahead of Branduk despite catching only about four passes a month, indicating limited usage.

Insight page

Jauan Jennings

NegativeValue0:28

Jawan Jennings goes five rounds ahead of Branduk in ADP, suggesting the market values him significantly higher.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeRole0:14

Jaden Reed is characterized as a part-time player, limiting his fantasy upside and making him a risky draft pick.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue0:03

Waddle is a preferred target over Courtland Sutton at WR25 (12th pick of round 4). The 27-year-old was acquired via first-rounder-plus trade and will be the focal point of Sean Payton's quick-hitting offense, making him a better value than the aging Sutton.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeInjury0:21

Dealing with a hamstring injury that has persisted for 12 months—from the combine through his pro day where he only ran a couple routes. Currently watching practices and doing individual drills but not participating with the team.

Insight page
PositiveInjury0:21

Analysts are not fading him strictly because of injuries but are monitoring whether the hamstring lingers; hoping this is no longer a story by August 1st. His ADP has not moved despite the injury concerns.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:32

Jordan Tyson is mentioned as part of a cluster of wide receivers in the same draft range as Roma Dun (wide receiver 21-29, fourth to fifth round).

Insight page
PositiveValue0:32

Part of an elite cluster of WRs being drafted with confidence alongside Roman Dunce, Christian Watson, Colonel Tate, and Brian Thomas.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveValue0:15

Josh Downs is being drafted in the round after Alec Pierce and is being considered as a potential alternative with similar value, though the analyst still prefers Alec Pierce based on proven fantasy upside.

Insight page

Malik Washington

NegativeProjection0:29

Malik Washington is projected to be a zero this year, indicating minimal fantasy value.

Insight page

Marvin Mims

PositiveRole0:00

Mims is mentioned as part of the Broncos' receiving corps that will compete for targets with Courtland Sutton, contributing to expected target share decline for Sutton.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout0:08

Parker Washington's tape is pretty good and he can continue to ascend in the Jaguars offense, with potential to outscore Jacobe Myers due to his explosiveness.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout8:28

In the middle of a breakout; tape is actually pretty good, suggesting legitimate emergence as a receiver.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveProjection0:24

Rice is expected to be a high upside pick in the third round once he returns to practice, with his ADP likely climbing back up from the 80s range as he participates in training camp.

Insight page
PositiveBust0:24

Despite his talent, Rice carries significant risk due to off-field concerns and injury recovery, warranting a 15-20% discount to his default ranking as a baseline for drafting.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:25

Rice's ADP will climb significantly as he participates more in training camp, likely moving from the 80s to the top of the third round or round two-three turn.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:25

When healthy, Rice has been a top five to top ten receiver and a top seven scoring wide receiver for the Chiefs, with no legitimate replacement drafted by Kansas City.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

NegativeValue0:28

Ted Hurst is a third round pick developmental wide receiver four who goes ahead of Branduk, suggesting better value elsewhere.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveRole0:08

Travis Hunter, the second overall pick, is still a threat as a potential wide receiver four or more in the Jaguars offense.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:32

Still sidelined from a rare knee injury suffered during the bye-week that could linger longer than typical injuries.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:32

Travis Hunter is still sidelined from a knee injury he dealt with during the bye week.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:32

Travis Hunter is wearing a teal jersey at OTAs, indicating he's practicing with the offense, which suggests he will play both sides of the ball this year.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:33

Expected to play both sides of the ball this year, wearing a teal jersey in OTAs indicating he's practicing with the offense.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:33

Projected to finish as the fourth-best WR in snaps for the Jaguars while also being their best corner, with snap share likely fluctuating between 30-65% across the season.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:33

Has significant upside with flashes of elite play, including heavy contributions in critical wins against the 49ers and Chiefs with downfield big catches.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveRole0:30

Trey Harris is getting work at OTAs in the new Mike McDaniel system while Lad Makanki is sidelined.

Insight page

Troy Franklin

PositiveRole0:02

Troy Franklin led the Broncos in red zone targets (18) in 2025 with a 77% catch rate (14 catches for 4 TDs), suggesting he could be the WR4 on the team behind Waddle and Sutton, potentially taking more red zone opportunities from Sutton.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveRole0:16

The analyst is relentlessly drafting Tyler Warren, indicating strong conviction in his role despite competition from Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Josh Downs for two-wide receiver set snaps.

0:00Sometimes it is just as important to know who not to draft as it is who to draft. Who to avoid versus who to
0:06target. So today's show, the five wide receivers we would not touch with a 10-ft pole based on their current draft slot. Hayden, take it away. Who's name
0:13number one?
0:13>> This pains me because I've loved Courtland Sutton, but I do have him as a strict fade here. He's going to be 30
0:19years old. In comes Jaylen Waddle. If you just look at the history of the Shawn Peyton offense, a lot of like
0:23quick hitting stuff, a lot of manufactured touches. Those were never going to Courtland Sutton. Those are definitely gonna be going to Jaylen
0:29Wadd. We still have to worry about Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, RJ Harvey, some of the tight end stuff they have.
0:34So, I just think that the Corland target share is going to drop from 21% last year. He was the wide receiver, 19
0:40expected points. I think he's got not come close to those numbers just because I think that Jaylen Wadd obviously trade a firstrounder plus for him. They're
0:49going to have a huge game plan there.
0:50He's still priced as a wide receiver three. I think he's going to be a very inconsistent wide receiver for half PPR
0:56best baseball. It's okay. A lot of you guys play full PPR reddraft. I think the target shares are going to come down.
1:01And last note for him. The Broncos are 21st in projected points right now in the betting markets. Last year, the Broncos fully healthy offensive line. Bo
1:09Nicks was healthy. Coron Sutton was healthy. They were 15th in scoring. So, I think some regression just based off of the a really lucky season from the
1:16Broncos on offense. Uh, I think that's just going to a slight tick down as Bick comes off this ankle injury. Uh, too
1:23many red flags for Well, and the other thing we talk about is when your defense can literally win you games, your
1:27offense doesn't have to score as many points. So, while so often people site, well, bad defenses lead to us scoring more fantasy points, the two best
1:35defenses in the league or three best, uh, can prevent your offense from, you know, having to chase that ceiling every single time. Right now, Court Sutton is
1:42the wide receiver 38, the eighth pick of the seventh round. It's interesting. The markets think he's going to hang on to
1:47those receiving totals. He's projected for around 775 receiving yards. That's more than Brian Thomas Jr. who is going ahead of Courtland Sutton. That's more
1:56than Parker Washington who is going ahead of Courtland Sutton. That's more than Mai Lemon who is going ahead of Courtland Sutton. So, one area for me
2:04that he might be able to jump up a little bit. It's interesting when you look back at the 2025 Denver Broncos,
2:12Troy Franklin actually led this team in targets inside of the 20 yard line with 18. Caught 14 of those for four
2:21touchdowns. I mean, a 77% catch rate in that area of the field, uh, that might be one of, if not the highest
2:28percentages across the NFL.
2:30>> And I wouldn't be surprised if Troy Franklin is now like the wide receiver of four on this team behind Jaylen
2:35Waddle, Courtland Sutton, and Pat Bryant. And so, I do wonder since he was second last year, Sutton, if he can do
2:42better than, you know, just six receptions on 17 targets inside the red zone last year.
2:46>> Yeah, some of those uh targets to Troy Franklin in the red area are like little bubble screens and stuff. everything.
2:51It's like big red zone fades where obviously Courtland Sutton could come down with eight touchdowns again this year. I'm playing the under on the
2:57underdog projections of the season long stuff. I just think those numbers are a tad too high for me.
3:02>> So basically your Courtton Sutton statement is uh I just want to take a lot of Jaylen Waddle at wide receiver 25
3:07at the 12th pick of the fourth round.
3:08>> I'll take the 27year-old who just spent a firstrounder plus uh for Shawn Payeyton over the 30-year-old. Yes.
3:14>> Right. Who Shawn Peyton is basically saying, "Yeah, he's going to totally change our offense. Like he is the player that's going to take us over the
3:19top." Yeah, I I can totally buy that.
3:21Okay. Uh I want to talk about Malik Neighbors. Malik Neighbors, awesome talent right now. Wide receiver 14, the seventh pick of the third round. Uh but
3:30let's also keep in mind that he had ACL reconstruction and a lateral meniscus repair. I just want to take everyone through the timeline here. On April 7th,
3:38we get from John Harbaugh that Malik Neighbors won't be on the field until quote into training camp and closer to the season. Then a month later, May
3:4613th, we learned that Malik Neighbors underwent a quote cleanup procedure on his knee in the previous weeks, removed scar tissue that was coughing stiffness
3:54in his knee during rehabilitation, and that they are hopeful for week one. A week later, May 22nd, John Harbaugh says the team is not sure when Malik
4:02Neighbors will return to the field. Not a quote simple knee maintained that a return by camp is still the goal, but
4:09said the team will see what happens. Uh this must be the most optimistic, the most positive moments for all these players and coaches and teams during
4:18this period. And it feels like with Malik Neighbors Hayden that we are getting like more and more negative the closer we get to training camp. I mean
4:27we're talking about an injury in week four of last season in October and the s and the timeline is still incredibly
4:35murky. So, I'm a bit nervous and I would love to get your take on this. If we're going to an outcome where he misses
4:41multiple games, where he sits multiple games and I wonder if we don't see his best until, I don't know, week eight of
4:48the regular season. And then I look at who is being drafted around Malik Neighbors at this point in the middle of
4:54the third round and it's after him. It's Z Flowers, T. Higgins, and then wide receivers we think that can like win
5:01leagues this year and maybe lad Mac, Garrett Wilson, and Mechbuka. So, while the ADP, and we'll get into that in a
5:07moment, has taken a downturn here from League Neighbors over the last few weeks, I still think it's too expensive for where I want to take him because I
5:13think it's only going to drop the closer we get to the season.
5:16>> Yeah, I didn't love that softball game where he was running down the first baseline. It did not seem like he was
5:21moving cleanly. The ACL plus set back there. My assumption is he's back in week five. I think he's going to start
5:28the season on the PUP list, not just training camp, but the actual PUP list.
5:32I would be surprised if we get good news in training camp. So, I think his ADP is going to continue to drop just a little
5:38bit. I've got him ranked 38th overall.
5:40So, after a couple of those names that you just listed there. The hard part is that once he gets back, if he's fully
5:47healthy, like he's going to dominate that. I just don't think that like the baseline assumption should be he's ready to go after like a slow off season that
5:54he's like the same Malik neighbors that we're accustomed to. So, I wouldn't be surprised if he's like, you know, the wide receiver 12 in points from week
6:01eight on, uh, but not the wide receiver three, which we've had at times here.
6:06So, uh, if you want to take the risk, uh, I'm okay with it. I kind of like the risk a little bit more in reddraft
6:12leagues because what, six out of 12 teams make the playoffs where in best only two out of the 12 teams make the
6:18playoffs. It's a little bit harder to advance if you're going to be taking a bunch of zeros. The other part of this
6:22is oftentimes in round one and round two and especially let's say if you are drafting from the seventh slot right now
6:29then you can start Chris McCaffrey and Derrick Henry. Do you really want Malik Neighbors who might not be at full strength until about week eight to be
6:35your wide receiver one off the board?
6:37Like that is sacrificing five, six, seven games uh from your number one wide receiver that you drafted. Like that gets, you know, just murky for me. I I
6:45wonder like on Labor Day you guys come back to the channel and he's now at 40th overall and Josh was like, "All right,
6:50now it's time for us to go all in." The ADP has fallen enough. I just don't think that the ADP is not always gonna
6:55be like and he's back up. I think it's more likely he's going to fall another five spots than it is for him to climb
7:00five more.
7:01>> And you always talk about how it's difficult for players to drop versus climb because when they drop, people think that they're just getting ADP
7:09value and so that takes just much longer. Guess what? we're about to have a month of silence and I think it'll
7:16only go in that direction. But if he just returns, I don't know, the last week of August somehow and is at
7:21training camp, then we'll see a spike, you know, immediately. And so just right now of where he's going, the seventh pick of of the third round, uh, you
7:29know, despite dropping eight spots and that's dropped from the wide receiver nine to wide receiver 14, I still don't think this is like the the bottom value
7:35that we're going to get with league neighbors in drafts this summer.
7:37>> He's a hell of a football player, which this is just not the year. And >> and they need him. I mean, the wide
7:41receivers, it's Darius Leightton and Malachi Fields, and we can go down the list.
7:45>> The other part of this is, you know, the Giants also talking a lot about we're going to run the football, yada yada.
7:50Not necessarily pass first, but uh they'll be passing more if Malik Neighbors is on the field. That's for sure.
7:56>> All right, my next name is Jacobe Myers.
7:58Pretty similar conversation to the Courtland Southern. I'll make this one pretty tough. From week 11 on, that's when he was a full-time player for for
8:04Jacksonville. This includes the playoff games. He was the wide receiver 26. Uh that was when Brian Thomas forgot how to play football. That was without Travis
8:13Hunter. And then that was uh also with Parker Washington in the middle of a breakout. I think that Parker Washington's tape is actually pretty
8:20good. Brian Thomas is lighting things up uh in training camp. They drafted a blocking tight end. Not only have did they block or they draft him in the
8:29second round in the offseason period, they've like doubled down on how important he is to the point where I think that there's going to be some two
8:36wide receiver sets, some more tight end involvement here and not much of three wide receiver sets. Jacobe Myers is a glue guy. You don't get that many
8:42fantasy points for glue guy stuff. I think that there's a chance that uh Brian Thomas breaks out in a big way.
8:47Parker Washington can use continues to ascend or if Travis Hunter gets there uh gets involved as a wide receiver four if
8:55not more than that Jacobe Meyers kind of is like he's a he's a wide receiver four wide receiver five in fantasy so he's
9:02just drafted too high got ranked 125th overall I think there's more exciting names uh all around them >> it's interesting not often do we
9:09disagree to this extent but I think I disagree with a lot of your points that you made about Jacobe Myers um the first
9:14one is that I think he's going to be out there in two wide receiver sets. Like if you go and read John Shipley, he noted
9:21that Jacobe Myers and yes, it's the dreaded run blocking uh reasoning, but that's what he's getting out there in two wide receivers. And he basically
9:29then will rotate the Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr. stuff. And look, that's all fluid. Who knows? I still think, you know, the 11 personnel, three wide
9:36receiver sets is their best personal grouping, the most talented personal grouping. But again, you don't spend a second round pick in Bor Kercher uh and
9:42not use him.
9:44>> Yeah. you know, player that they loved and wanted to quote unquote shock the world. I guess where I do agree with you
9:49is that even when last year and you look at when everything settled for this team, Jacobe Myers was playing a lot at
9:57that point. Like if you go from week 12 and on, that was 84% 92 83 87 88 94%.
10:05Again, every single game he played the most wide receiver snaps on the team. It still wasn't like a huge outcome. You
10:11know, it was wide receiver 27 in points per game during that stretch. So, >> could you make the case that even if he
10:18plays technically fewer snaps, could Parker Washington outscore him because he's more explosive? Could Brian Thomas Jr. outscore him? Yes. I I think that's
10:26fair. But that's also to me why they are being selected before him and Jacobe Myers is the wide receiver three among
10:31all Jaguars right now.
10:33>> It's just not very often that we get the third wide receiver in an offense to be fantasy relevant. And that's not even
10:39counting, you know, we have Brenton Strange who we like and Basil Tuton's going to get some uh receptions this year and you know Travis Hunter the
10:47second overall pick uh is still a threat. So I just think on a baseline thing it's fine like baseline projection he's kind of priced where he is. There's
10:54just like other ways where I think this thing could get sideways and even last year late down the stretch Brian Thomas
10:59wasn't healthy on top of things. So like not only was he not playing well he like was missing time during the Jacobe Myers
11:04run. I think there's a lot more things that are be coming his way and I just would be surprised if they're like we
11:09got to get this offense schemed around Jacobe Myers when you have all these more exciting pieces.
11:13>> I do think there is something to Jacobe stabilizing what they were trying to do like that intermediate over the middle
11:19stuff and hopefully Brian Thomas Jr. is more willing of doing that this year when he is healthy another year in the
11:25system and the offense and all that type of stuff. But, you know, the intermediate over the middle, catching traffic has been a staple of Lean Cohen
11:33dating back to his days with the Bucks.
11:34And Jacobe was very willing to do that.
11:37So, I get both sides of this one. But, I think I'm I'm more in disagreement here.
11:40All right, before we go any further, if we can get 1,000 likes on this video, that would be incredible. Hit the thumbs

11:56important content, entertaining content.
11:58So, uh, join us all summer long by hitting that subscribe button. Okay, this is kind of turning into a mass unit
12:04for me because my next name is is Alec Pierce. And don't get me wrong, Hayden, I mean, I think you and I, as the season
12:13was going along, were early in the Alec Pierce is, you know, transitioning his game into becoming a more complete wide receiver. Um, I mean, he's a legit NFL
12:24wide receiver is being paid as one right now. And you saw it as the season went along. Again, digs in and breakers on
12:29top of the single high vertical shots that they forced defenses into when Jonathan Taylor was running at a high level. We know that he led the NFL in
12:36yards per catch for the second straight season, 21.3 yards. But here's my question to you, Hayden. What is more concerning, Daniel Jones's Achilles
12:44injury that he's returning from or Alec Pierce's ankle surgery that he's returning from?
12:48>> Probably his own ankle is concerning. He looked pretty stiff in the video that we had here. Um there's a chance that this
12:53thing lingers into the season. Uh we'll see how much training camp experience he's going to get here. He did not want
12:58to have the surgery. Like that was what we learned here is that he was trying to have uh like rehab it and then realized
13:05this was not going to work out then got the surgery later in the offseason. Uh so yeah, it's concerning here. I I will
13:10say there's still I think a lot of upside for Alec Pierce. Um so I think that's what makes this difficult is like
13:16it's very obvious his ankle is turned backwards. That's not good for fantasy points. Uh, but with Michael Pitman gone, uh, and maybe the Colts aren't
13:24beating everybody by by 25 points at halftime this year, all of a sudden, Alec Pierce looks a lot better.
13:30>> My question, uh, was, what's more concerning, Jon's Achilles or Alec Pierce's ankle? The answer is both. It's a trick answer because with Alec
13:39Pierce's draft slot that you're selecting him with, you're drafting both. you know, you're hoping Jay Jones comes back and plays like the top 12
13:47quarterback that he did when Alec Pierce, you know, uh, had a heck of a season. And obviously, Alec Pierce had production with the other quarterbacks
13:54they had out there on the field, too.
13:56But you're also looking at a skill position talent that is going to be using that ankle every single time. As you said, they
14:03tried to avoid it at first. They were forced into the surgery. In April, we got a three-month recovery timeline from GM Chris Ballard. Then Alec Pierce on
14:12June 10th said it's actually going to be a four to sixmonth recovery and his goal is to return quote late in camp late. So
14:21he really hasn't fallen at all since that remark. I mean he fell three overall spots from 73rd to 76. And again
14:29I'm just going to take the stance that the draft slot is only going to drop more as more players show out in
14:35training camp in preseason action that are around him. I I'm with you. Alec Pierce is a heck of a talent. This has
14:42immense upside. I just think we're going to get even better value in a couple of weeks here.
14:47>> Yeah, the wide receivers going right after him. Kind of interesting. Like DK Mechaf similar to Alec Pierce and then Corland Sun who's just on my fades list.
14:53And then Jaden Reed part-time player and then Quinton Johnston I think would be an interesting kind of comp for him.
14:58Like those are the next names. And then Josh DS gets drafted the round after.
15:01Like would you straight up rather have Josh DS and Alec Pierce right right now?
15:05I think I would still be on team uh Alec Pierce just based off of the the more proven upside in fantasy, but um I I can
15:13see those guys being priced pretty close together uh in the next couple weeks.
15:18>> Yeah. And if you really want to game the system, I also believe if if he does return late in training camp that the
15:24opening four weeks or the four games will be slow and we know how long the season is and how often people panic,
15:30especially for, you know, where these guys are being drafted. Again, Alec Pierce right now is going in the seventh round and that might even be different
15:38in your home leagues. So, there's a trade window, I think, to go out and get Alec Pierce during that time, too.
15:43>> Yeah. Just do not discount how good Alec Pierce was. I mean, he scorched the the Texans twice down the stretch. He was a
15:49wide receiver 10 in his last four games.
15:50He was a wide receiver 23 over the entire course of the season. Obviously, there's some like negative progression on a lot of the downfield stuff with
15:57him. Um, but I do think that he was like a very good wide receiver down the stretch. So, boom, bust, I would say.
16:04>> And there's no one behind him. I mean, it's Nick Westbrook A is battling him and Josh Downs for two wide receiver set
16:10stuff, you know.
16:11>> Yep.
16:11>> Uh, I'm just relentlessly drafting Tyler Warren at this point. And we'll see how that goes. That goes for me. Okay. One
16:17more name for you. Who is it?
16:18>> I'll just go all the Titans wide receivers. Just came across a stat that I just could not shake. Um, no Titans
16:25player had more than 3.5 receptions per game last year. I mean, that's not good.
16:29Only Calvin Ridley cleared 33 yards per game. and that was at 44 yards and a half season there. So, we have just a
16:36bunch of new target competition in Janell Robinson and Cardinal Tate. I really like Carnell Tate individually. I do think this is a brand new offense for
16:46um Cam Ward. I thought the Cam Ward film was uh mildly concerning for like this year. I see the talent, but there was a
16:52lot of things I thought were just like, okay, like this seems like he's swimming a little bit. I'm not sure how much I
16:57trust trust Brian Dball here. Uh, and then all the offseason reports have been Cam Ward is really struggling. Like that's consistent. ESPN, uh, AZ Sports,
17:09you can look across, uh, the beat writers for the Titans, they're all saying Cam Ward is looking not that great right now. So for Carnell Tate,
17:18there's some players uh, that I like ahead of him in fantasy. And then in Juanell Robinson, I just don't think he's going to get the same exact target
17:26share. I don't think that he's a lock for two wide receiver sets. Calvin Ridley is still making like I think it's
17:31like $15 million this year as a 32-y old. He he's still healthy and involved.
17:35They have Elica Yumor. They have Shamir DK. They want they want to get involved.
17:39Like it can just be a little bit more spread out evenly than we want to admit.
17:43Uh and I think the pie that we're talking about here could be pretty concerning on a pretty bad Titans team.
17:50>> Interesting. Once again, we're on opposite ends of this. Like I I just brought up a couple videos ago how I
17:54think Carninal Tate is a great value and still stuck at that wide receiver 30 area. Namely because you know rarely do
18:01we get someone with this draft capital the fourth overall pick albeit in you know the 2026 NFL draft right >> and if it's a loss then it's like a
18:10small loss but when it's a win it's a massive win. But it kind of goes back to what you're saying if I'm reading
18:15between the lines with you Hayden you're kind of out on Cam Ward. Like you're at least down on Cam Ward. Obviously, you
18:21said that Jackson Dart would be your reddraft number one overall pick that year and then uh just reading between the lines here with Cardinal Tate and
18:28obviously Wanda where he's going in the 10th round. Uh just being overall out on this offense is really fascinating to me.
18:33>> Yeah, I mean there's clearly potential with Cam Moore like his best plays were awesome. I thought there was a lot of
18:37work between those and Cam Moore could be really good in year three, year four, but that's not the point of of this
18:44podcast. So, there's a lot of moving parts with a brand new offense, brand new coaching staff, brand new wide receiver one, brand new slot wide
18:50receiver. Uh, the offensive line is going to be miserable. I mean, look at the starting line. The line's going to be complete dog I didn't think
18:56that Cam Ward played that great under pressure. So, nothing against Carnell Tate. Go watch our our pre-draft video on Carninal Tate. I think he's really
19:03good. I just think like, could this be a Roma Dunay season for the Bears? Could this be Drake London finishes the wide
19:08receiver 41 on a on a bad Falcons team as a rookie? like I I I can see him being the wide receiver 40 and he's
19:16priced as the wide receiver 30.
19:17>> Do you think Wandelle is going to keep that kind of verticalness to his game?
19:20Like did he unlock that in his repertoire or is this more like hey we have no one that's like a quick winning
19:26wide receiver. He knows Brian Dball scheme and other than that we have more kind of downfieldish options.
19:31>> It's probably the latter. I mean he didn't have Malik Neighbors or anybody else down the field. That was like Jackson Dart buying time throwing the
19:37ball down the I think he's going to go back >> and Russ in that one game against the Cowboys.
19:40>> And and also just like the Cowboys defense just like forgot to run cover three.
19:45>> I think Colonel Tate again if it's a loss, it's like a small loss, but there's some like real if Kim Ward plays
19:51at a high level or above average level, then there's some like I think very positive outcomes we can get from there.
19:58Um, a couple weeks ago, by the way, I also had a video where I talked about DJ Moore and Omar Cooper kind of being out
20:03on their draft capital, but we'll end it there. We'll end it there after five names. I did want to go through since
20:09we're continuing this theme of, you know, updating injury news because we can kind of forget and stick in our bubble of, hey, all these players are
20:17healthy heading into training camp and right now we're getting OTAAS and mini camps and that's simply not the case.
20:22So, I know you brought about six names to go through quickly. Um, yeah, >> the first two are in New Orleans. Let's
20:28start with Chris Ave. Uh, he's dealing with blood clots, which is not something you want to hear about. In fact, I
20:34believe Kellen Moore said he's still recovering from them after they had to keep him out of week 18 game last year
20:39with these blood clots. Uh, what do you want to say here about Chris Lave?
20:42>> Yes, blood clots are concerning and then obviously the concussion history. He's doing the individual drills but not the team drills because they do not want him
20:50to uh have contact which just like most likely scenario this doesn't matter. In 10% of outcomes this this lingers and it
20:59becomes a big deal and like we're talking about a third round pick. So, uh, I this is just something I'm monitoring. And then the Jordan Tyson
21:05stuff is, I think, uh, equally fascinating because it's the hamstring injury. I mean, it was the hamstring injury 12 months ago and it was the
21:13hamstring injury, uh, throughout the combine and then all the way up to his pro day where he ran a couple routes.
21:19Um, and he's just has not been participating that much. Like, he's watching practices, he's doing the individual drills, and then he's just
21:27not participating with the team. Um, like it's a young young team. Obviously, they would want these guys to be out there. It's also June. So, like the
21:34these are strictly not fading them because of injuries, but I'm hoping that on August 1, like this is no longer a
21:41story, and it's right now these guys are priced. Uh, not overly aggressive, but they're like they're picks that matter.
21:48>> Yeah. Nick Underh Hill, the GOAT, uh, did say that quote, "They caught the blood clots early before anything bad could happen and that he will be fine."
21:56He's also hoping to get a new contract before training camp. It's interesting.
21:59Alive, despite being sidelined for all this stuff, has actually climbed in ADP since midmay uh from 33 overall to 29 overall, wide receiver 14 to wide
22:09receiver 12. So again, we're just trying to bring you up to date with all this injury stuff.
22:13>> Uh because it has really impacted some people's 80s BS, but then has actually done the inverse with others in a
22:20positive way.
22:21>> Round three, we've got Rishi Rice, Josh Jacobs, Malik Neighbors. We got some other guys with bigger bigger issues right now than than his. But his is a
22:28big deal >> on the Jordan Tyson stuff. Yeah. I mean, we think this is just a continuation from the draft process where he ran what
22:36like 12 routes at his workout. The ADP has not moved. But I kind of wonder if they're just being exceedingly careful
22:43with him or has the hammy popped up again. And the answer to that is unknown to those fuzz on the outside because
22:50they don't have to give injury reports during these OTAA activities. like they don't have to give updates at all. So, whatever information we do get, uh, you
22:58know, it's by the kindness of these GMs and head coaches, basically.
23:01>> Yeah. What makes it so hard is if one of these guys stays healthy and the other guy doesn't, then you're going to want
23:08to target these guys, you know? So, it's like kind of like a catch 22 where the fact that both of them are battling
23:13something right now is makes them have even more upside, but also a crazy low floor.
23:17>> Okay, let's talk about Rashid Rice next.
23:20Um, oh boy.
23:21>> Since midmay, he's dropped from 19 overall to 30th overall. Wide receiver 7 to wide receiver 13. Today he was released from jail after 30 days where
23:30he also, you know, did some knee rehab work and there was a video of him running away from cell phone cameras in
23:36the lobby of jail. Um, your thoughts on Rasheed Rice right now are what? because it sounds like the NFL is not going to
23:44take any more action in suspending him from this most recent uh not issue, but just continuation of what happened last year.
23:51>> Yeah, just the the failed drug test. Um I would be surprised if he got suspended, but it's still possible theoretically. Um the big takeaway is he
23:59was running out of jail, you know, so I mean the knee rehab must be at least in like somewhat of a good enough place
24:04because that reporter was trying to chase him down. So yeah, there's obviously a ton tons of risk here. Um there's plenty of time. It's June 16th,
24:11so there's still plenty of time for the Chiefs to feel comfortable, reintegrate him, and that he's going to be a high
24:17upside pick in the third round. So, I would say uh you never know what's coming next for Rasheed Rice. I do think
24:23his ADP is going to go back up. I think he's going to be out there in the first day of training camp and I think the
24:28reports are going to be Rashid Rice is still very important to the offense. So, I think that >> I think his ADP is gonna go up until the
24:34next shoe could drop and then he could be in the 80s. So, like I think that you should have whatever your default
24:40ranking is for Rushi Rice, discount it by 15 20%. And then that's your actual baseline for what uh he should be going
24:48as because you just can't trust him. But I think for the most part, this story is I think mostly behind us.
24:53>> We can kind of predict trends when it comes to drafting. When Rishi Rice goes out there and practices fully on the
25:00first day, his ADP will probably climb to the top of the third round, if not at like the round two, three turn. if he
25:06was a a normal citizen who also, you know, wasn't coming off a knee injury, I would probably rank Rashid Rice right
25:14next to Drake London and Brock Powers.
25:16>> Yes.
25:17>> Is that fair?
25:17>> Yeah. Yeah. Easily. Yeah. Easily. I mean, he's been he's been like a top five to top 10 receiver uh whenever he's
25:24been healthy.
25:25>> Yeah. And I mean, again, that might be underelling it a little bit. Like maybe he should be in the middle of all that
25:31stack of eight running backs that we have right there. Yeah. like you said, I mean, he's a top seven scoring wide
25:36receiver when he is on the field as part of the Kansas City Chiefs. And, you know, while they've drafted some Randers
25:43at wide receiver, including Jaylen Royals and insert your Cyrus Allens and so on and so forth, uh, they have really done nothing to replace him as a key
25:50focal point and exactly where they want to throw the football. So, uh, I would be drafting Rashi Rice right now if you
25:58want to, you know, be a part of the group that believes in Rushy Rice because again, if we're getting ahead of
26:05these trends, he will only go up the more he participates in training camp.
26:08>> Yeah, I promise in two weeks he will not be right next to Luke Neighbors in in ADP.
26:12>> They are probably going in two different trajectories if I'm predicting it. Okay, Brennan Aayuk is next. posted a video among other videos on social media where
26:22he steps on the scale and weighs 208 pounds. We could do another 30 minutes on the Brena situation and if he is
26:30theoretically a good pick. Uh Hayden, I think you could say is he theoretically still a wide receiver in the NFL right
26:35now.
26:35>> Uh I think that's a fair question. Um I also do think we're probably getting closer to the point where things are
26:41going to get better at this point. He has not helped himself at all. I think that what what could happen is he shows
26:48up to the 49ers facility and like that's what gets him um uh pretty much released right away. Um but yeah, he's priced now
26:56at 194th overall underdog. So he's like basically going undrafted. We know he's much better than that. He's 28 pounds.
27:04That seems like a good playing weight for him. He's got a lot to play for after giving up millions and millions
27:10and millions of dollars. You obviously can't trust him, but I mean, start naming some of the wide receivers he's he's right next to. And if you want to
27:16compare talent uh to to Brandon Nauk.
27:19So, like I'm I'm now at the point I'm buying Brandon Nauk. Wish me the best, but this is this is my time to buy.
27:25>> Yeah. I mean, look, in your home normal leagues, you're not even factoring in Brandau in your conversation. This is just the sickos uh that are thinking
27:34about Branduk in in round 17. Um I don't know. I mean, when he missed training camp, we've talked about other wide
27:42receivers that are more consistent who miss training camp, uh, and how much that impacts, you know, their production, especially early in the
27:50season. By all accounts, he is trying to force him his way to Washington, and it makes sense. They do not have a, you
27:56know, legit second outside wide receiver, unless you want to hypothesize Trayon Burks or Antonio Williams in that area. Uh, I mean, I just haven't seen
28:06anything like this over the last six to eight months basically ever. I mean, we saw the Antonio Brown stuff >> to the Bills and took him to the Las
28:16Vegas Raiders and then the shoe and the helmet stuff and all that >> and then, you know, we've seen the Terrell Owens stuff in his past, but
28:23yeah, I think this is a an interesting one with Branduk and I'm not sure if I'm even going to want to do it in round 17.
28:30Yeah, I mean like Ted Hurst goes around ahead of him. I mean that's a third round pick developmental type who's the
28:35wide receiver four. Like there there's there's just other >> picking Ted Hurst either.
28:38>> Okay, good. But Isaac Teslaw goes two rounds ahead of him. Isaac Teslaw catches about four passes a month.
28:44>> Now if you say Adai Mitchell then I >> I'll hear you on Adai Mitchell. Like we we can we can pick our favorites down
28:49here. I just think at some point Jawan Jennings does go five rounds ahead of him. Those type of names.
28:55>> And again playing the ADP game as soon as Brena signs with the Washington Commanders. Why why don't we guess this?
29:00What round do you think he lands in?
29:02>> If if he if he signed with the commanders today, he would go, let's say, Romeo Dobs in round 10, like Khalil
29:08Shakir.
29:08>> I mean, I was looking at these names like he'd go ahead of Omar Cooper, he'd go ahead of Travis Hunter. And so, yeah,
29:14this round 11, round 10 area of Romeo Dobs to Khalil Shakir to Jaden Higgins makes the most sense.
29:20>> And it might it could be higher than that. Like, it could be higher than that. It could I I think there's a bit
29:24of like a tier drop from like Michael Pitman and Matthew Golden down to these other guys.
29:29>> I think at worst he would go where Jawan Jennings was going >> in round three.
29:33>> So you have like a it's like a he's 50ish spots discounted and that's the upside that you get if you're going to
29:40take on the zero risk with him. And also you know the next pick after him is Malik Washington who most likely is
29:48going to be a zero this year.
29:49>> All right. Just to give you more information on players that you know we have hyped up here on the show. Lad
29:54Makanki right now is working off to the side during OTAAS. Uh Harbaugh got on the mic right before the show and said
30:00quote he's working through something.
30:02Again, no injury reports are necessary through the NFL right now. So we do not know what Lad Makanki is working through
30:09at this point. Do you want to guess?
30:11>> No idea. Just wanted to say he's not practicing. I I am not going to guess.
30:14There's no there's no point. which sucks because you know it's a new system one that we are really excited for with Mike
30:22McDaniel and that you know Quinton Johnson and Trey Harris are getting work at this point and Ly Manki is not and so
30:28if we were trying to do the one to one of who could be this year's you know fourth round third round wide receiver
30:34that goes nuclear and wins your fancy football league I know myself and others have nominated Lad Makanki and uh that's tough to do when you're not practicing
30:42>> also June I think I think lad will be will be fine >> I agree yeah >> how about Roma Jun, there have been some
30:47interesting words he has said this off season. Uh we know last year there were some onoff splits of when he injured his
30:53foot and when he was healthy >> on this injured foot among other words he is now saying it is quote his new
31:00normal.
31:01>> What does that mean to you?
31:03>> Uh don't love to hear it. I will just note I think that Gen Z is going to be very more open in talking about the
31:10realities of their stuff than than hiding it. I I would just be I'm guessing that a lot of football players like if you ask Julio Jones truthfully
31:17how does your foot feel um you would probably say not great and I just think that Roma Dun is going to play through
31:22it. Just because he was being open about does not make his foot injury worse than other people that have had this before.
31:28So I think a lot of football players have foot issues and most of the time they play through it. The I think the
31:33big news that when overlooked is he's practicing. He has his foot injury but he's practicing. So I I think in general
31:39I think it's >> the words that he used quote this is my new normal and it's not from a standpoint that I'm always in pain but
31:44the way my foot broke there's calluses in there that create a different type of foot structure with those bones different types of things that kind of
31:52shift things around. So my new normal is kind of what I'm going into.
31:58Sounds like he listened to his doctors on >> Yes. He's just reporting the fact >> structure shifting around.
32:03>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's just keeping he's just keeping it a buck.
32:06>> Yeah. As much as I love Luther Burton, there is I think a direct pathway for Ramadun, who I also really like and I
32:14think is incredibly talented to uh finish as the Bears wide receiver one this year. And >> you know, I don't know, they're going a
32:22handful of spots different. Like it's wide receiver 29 versus wide receiver 21, the 11th pick of the fifth round versus the sixth pick of the fourth
32:28round. Uh, so I I'm still drafting Roman Dunce with uh with good confidence because he's in this cluster of wide receivers of Christian Watson, Rome,
32:36Colonel Tate, Brian Thomas, and Jordan Tyson.
32:39>> Yep. I think it's a great pick right now.
32:40>> We'll close with Travis Hunter, as we have talked about relentlessly. Uh he is still sidelined from that knee injury uh
32:48that he dealt with during the by-week.
32:50What is on my radar the most, Hayden, is when you watch these training camp or excuse me, these OTAA clips, he is
32:56wearing a teal jersey. And the teal jersey means he's quote unquote practicing with the offense and not the white of the defense.
33:05>> He's going to play both sides of the ball this year. Like I feel very confident in that. So, uh I just wanted
33:09to note that he's not practicing yet because of his knee injury. And it is a it was one of the more rare knee
33:16injuries. So like among the players we've talked about with injuries like his could end up lingering maybe a little bit more than we'd want. So this
33:23is just like fully monitoring the situation. I would guess he finishes wide receiver four in Jaguars in in snaps uh and then he's their best
33:30corner. So um I'm just monitoring this one, but we talked about this in our year two film review that there's plenty
33:37of upside here. Like he flashed it.
33:38Didn't get to see it consistent enough and that was partially his fault, partially the offense's fault, but uh there's upside here. just I want him on
33:45the practice field eventually.
33:46>> And again, they probably don't make the playoffs if he's not on the team and doesn't play wide receiver in like the
33:5349ers and the Chiefs games where he had a heavy hand at winning those games with downfield big catches. With all that
33:59said, I still think it's unlikely he clears 45% of snaps on offense. But that's just my take here on uh June
34:0716th. But we also it's okay if like parts of the season he's at 30% and then other parts of the season at 65% and
34:14then we can start him in the games that he's playing 65% of snaps or some sometimes that could be there could be a
34:19couple games where he's at nearly 100% of the snaps. So um I don't think we should always take the averages across
34:24the season. I think there's going to be some ups and downs with with Travis Hunter here and uh obviously the earlier
34:29he gets into practices the better because there was he could not line up properly for his rookie season. So, like I would like to see that eventually.
34:38>> Here's a take. Maybe now when he actually can't practice and he can kind of get mental reps, he's doing those
34:44mental reps on offense to know about all the alignment and stuff and then as soon as when he gets back on the field to
34:50actually being able to run around and practice, then he's just going to go straight back to >> defense. Yeah, I think that's a good
34:55good take.
34:56>> Okay, well that does it. We'll have more good takes here later in the week. We have Ian Hardit on the program on
35:01Wednesday and then Thursday the running back version of this. uh at least five players are not touching the 10 football. So, hit that subscribe button,
35:08enjoy another video, and we'll catch you on the next one.
