0:00Let's talk through those pesky wide receivers. Uh Hayden, just going through your rankings here. I mean, it didn't didn't take long uh until [laughter]
0:07like I don't know, wide receiver 25ish where I started feeling a bit queasy, a bit uneasy about this wide receiver room. We talked about this at the
0:16running back department as well. So, uh we're already in a very, I think, interesting position in week three of this season compared to the last few
0:22years of fantasy football.
0:23>> There's a lot of players that you're picking up off of waiverss and going straight into your wide receiver three spot, which definitely makes me nervous.
0:29I will say this, the top 10ish wide receivers I feel so much better about this week than I have in like the first
0:35couple weeks. Um whether it's just matchups or just a little bit more data, but uh after that point, like you said,
0:40it gets it gets questionable quick.
0:42>> Yeah. Just a little bit of a tease for you. The three wide receivers that were kind of headlining the waiverwire after
0:47week one are all top 30 names for for this week. So, that goes to show how different maybe some draft perceptions
0:54and then how much of an impact or just an immediate fill in some of those players are. Okay, let's dive into it.
1:00Let's not waste any time. Number one, your wide receiver one is Jackson Smith in Jigba. Uh, hey, look, I thought new
1:09play caller, you know, target share might go down, airyard share might go down, team total and all that stuff might go down. Uh, nope. Same player,
1:17same offense, still humming.
1:18>> Yeah. And then the matchup is textbook as well. They get the Commanders, their starting safety, Nick Cross, uh, is not
1:25going to play and they just got shredded this last week, 279 passing yards allowed. JSN also had 129 uh, receiving yards uh, in week nine against them.
1:34Mike Sanders still hasn't been very good. So like the matchup is textbook.
1:37Sounds like Sam Darnold is trending in the right direction.
1:41>> Yeah. Okay. Aman Ross St. Brown against the New York Jets is your wide receiver too here. um 14 and 13 targets to open
1:50the season. 35% of the team's targets and 46% of the team's red zone targets have gone in his direction through the
1:58opening two weeks. There are already some questions about, you know, some round one and round two picks in fantasy football. Not for him. I mean, this is
2:05elite stuff.
2:06>> Yeah, wide receiver two on wide receiver one usage through the first two weeks.
2:09Lions projected for the fifth most points as usual. the Jets defense, uh, they're missing some some players like Mika Fitzpatrick, for example, in the
2:16secondary. I don't like that they're they're they're corners really at all.
2:20And the Drew Pensing offense, like he's kind of in like the Trey McBride role.
2:23Um, and not that Aman Rossi Brown needed a new role, like he's he's been excellent and he he's officially closed the gap with the elite wide receivers.
2:31He's always like a half tier below them.
2:33I think this is the year where he is firmly in their category.
2:36>> All right, that brings us to Jamar Chase as your wide receiver three. is at the Pittsburgh Steelers. I mean, this new
2:42rivalry, I should say, should be akin to the old rivalry between the Bengals and the Steelers. I mean, I think that the
2:50Steelers defense right now is like number two in defensive DVOA and EPA so far, but again, they faced the Atlanta Falcons in week one and a struggling
2:58Patriots passing game in week two. So, a big key for them we know is creating pressure and obviously this Bengals offensive line has been fantastic at
3:07stopping the pressure so far in a lot of instances. Yeah, totally agree. It's it's the it's the front seven for the
3:13Steelers that's so good. Joey Porter is like limited in practice off that hold out. Like we're still figuring out exactly if he's going to play or how
3:19much he would play, but he would be pretty rusty in my opinion. Jamar Chase has gone obviously crazy against uh the
3:24Steelers, 97 yards per game since 2022 against them. Some of those games were without uh Joe Burrow. So uh if Joey
3:32Porter is not going to be out there in full-time capacity, I think that he can beat the rest of these guys. from Reeves
3:36in his worksheet. Steelers two high looks 53% of the time so far this season. Uh new defensive coordinator obviously Jamar Chase in 2025 last
3:47season he had 37% in the team's targets when facing too high and uh 3.7 yards per route run and his numbers compared
3:55to like T. Higgins in those coverages are drastically different. Makes >> sense.
4:00>> Okay. One of your first big disagreements from consensus rankings, which by the way, you are fourth place in so far through two weeks.
4:06Congratulations. Uh, wide receiver six, Chris Ave for them. Wide receiver four for you against the Las Vegas Raiders.
4:14Hayden, in our death league that we're a part of, I prioritize Crystal L over Puka Nakua. Was that a smart choice?
4:23>> Um, the Puka stuff's making me nervous.
4:25We can talk about that. Uh, not making a lot lot of progress there. And meanwhile, Crystal Lave is one of the
4:30best roles imaginable. 169 air yards per game is 29 more than the wide receiver 2, which by the way is Parker
4:36Washington. Probably wouldn't think that. Wide receiver four and expected points. Tyler Shucks averaging 50 dropbacks per game. Number one neutral pace uh offense. They play in a dome.
4:46The rest of that division is not very good, especially um some of the secondaries that they're going to go against right now. So, like this is this
4:52is awesome stuff. The only like thing that you can possibly nitpick here is like they just lost their uh left tackle, but that just might mean more
5:00downfield shots. And plus, the Raiders have they haven't been tested yet. Uh Caleb Douglas got him a couple times back in week one, but Saints projected
5:06for the 11th most points. I got Tyler Shuck and it's probably the highest I've ever ranked him in my quarterback rankings. You guys can go find that over
5:12on Yahoo Sports.
5:14>> Yeah, he has 22 fantasy points in back-to-back games. Tyler Shuck does.
5:19Okay, that takes us to wide receiver five and that is CD Lamb versus the Baltimore Ravens. Does he still belong in S tier or are we moving down to A
5:27tier here?
5:28>> Um, let's keep him in here. Um, this is not an easy matchup, but CD Lamb's been balling recently. Uh, how the Ravens
5:34defense is working right now. Nate Wiggins plays the left side. Marlon Humphrey plays the right side. Then Kyle Hamilton is he's like their nickel
5:42player, but he's been blitzing and he's on the line of scrimmage so much that he's not always covering the the slot.
5:49Now C Lamb's not playing as much slot as he did previously. He's going to see all these guys, but they're not like doing
5:54like shut down my number one wide receiver stuff there. They're good at it, but I was able to see Alec Pierce
6:01and Chris Olive on these inbreaking routes over the middle in the first two weeks. And obviously Dak Prescott and C Lamb are awesome at that. This they're
6:08still predict for the six most points uh here. So I don't really the matchup matters a little bit but not too much.
6:14This game is awesome. I mean we sent a very good one to Brazil. Um, I mean these three defensive backs you you
6:21named them and and Wiggins and Humphrey and uh Kyle Hamilton versus these let's even say three pass catchers and Lamb Pickkins and then some combination of
6:29Florenoi and Jake Ferguson uh is an exciting matchup and like you said I think Lamb is playing less inside because they believe Florenoi is
6:37probably at his best in that area too plus some multiple Titan looks and obviously they run a lot of 11 personnel. So I'm excited to see which
6:44one uh comes out on top >> from from this group. This is your stand your ground pick presented by DraftKings Sports. Every game day means more with
6:52DraftKings Sports. The crown is yours, Hayden. How we do this? We look and I look at consensus rankings and find the
6:58biggest disagreement that you have with the masses and it is Devonte Adams at the Denver Broncos. Wide receiver 12 for them, wide receiver six for you. Are
7:10people just putting too much emphasis on this Broncos defense and Patrick Certan and not enough of two future Hall of Famers and Matthew Stafford and Devonte
7:18Adams?
7:19>> I think in general Dvonte Adams, you want to play him earlier in the season when he's the healthiest. He's not
7:23dealing with the hamstring injuries. He obviously looked excellent last week.
7:26You also want to play Dvonte Adams when Puka Nakua is not playing and that's what I'm expecting here. It's also like
7:32no Kobe Parkinson most likely with a knee injury. He hasn't practiced as well. So that's like another red zone threat uh kind of going away here.
7:39Obviously, Patrick Sertan is unbelievable. He's probably the best corner in the league. Denver was the third best defense against fantasy wide
7:44receivers. Pat Zertan has not faced a like legit number one wide receiver in very, very long time. I do think that he
7:52could get shadowed by by Patrick Certan.
7:54I just watched way too many routes last week with the Rams where it was just Terren Ferguson and Adams out in the
7:59route and everyone else was blocking.
8:00So, even if we were talking a lot more like 5050 chances here, there's going to be a lot of them. Um, so let's ride with
8:06Jamonte Adams. Yeah, Certain has only been targeted four times in two games so far this year. 20 yards that he has
8:12allowed. But again, the even larger sample size is Devonte has now run 135 routes without Puka on the field. Uh he
8:20was targeting around 40% of his routes with those and 3.7 yards per route run.
8:24And it's not just like the stuff that's between the 20s that's most important without Puka. It is the inside the 20
8:30yard line stuff. It is the inside the 10 yard line stuff. is abandoning the running plays and you know targeting someone like Dvonte Adams in week one
8:39that was all Pukuna and Dvonte Adams had a seat in that and that's where you know he scored 11 of his 14 touchdowns last
8:45year and then last week once again we get like an immediate touchdown in that area of the field so guess what
8:50touchdowns mean even more than yards but he can do both when he's the only real wide receiver on the team right now
8:56>> Dvonte Adams is this year's JSN it looks like you know this whole 40% target shares >> let's Let's let's talk about the pukina
9:04thing. Yeah.
9:05>> Um >> because I think our antennas went up during the preseason when we hear about SOAs and that's like hip groin all that
9:14type of stuff and he misses camp and yet he goes out there and looks very good in week one and everything was trending in
9:20the right direction ahead of week one and then Hayden it wasn't one of those oh he gets injured lays on the field
9:26trainers and so he misses time. So, it's almost >> that makes me even more concerned that this is something that the Rams realize
9:33that if they don't get it right right now, it's going to linger more and more.
9:37And at the same time, Shan's comments of, yeah, he is not progressing in his rehabilitation is also something that's very concerning.
9:45>> I also just like don't like that they have not like targeted the exact body part. Like they've listed groin, hip,
9:51like it's like it's kind of like just changing here. And I I don't like that.
9:54I think that the soreness thing makes me nervous. like they're claiming it's not a sports hernia. Like I really hope it's
9:59not that type of injury. And the fact that he's not going on injured reserve like to me doesn't matter because uh
10:05he's so important that they like might not put him on injured reserve even if he's going to be out like multiple
10:09weeks. And the other thing Shawn McVey is like notoriously like too optimistic at times with with some of these injuries and he even he was like yeah
10:17he's just not progressing and and he gave that up early in the week when there's like a competitive advantage. Um so I'm I'm officially very nervous. I
10:25really hope this is not a Christian McCaffrey uh type of uh issue that we have here from the couple seasons ago
10:31from the training camp going into the regular season. It makes me very nervous right now.
10:36>> I talked about this with Boone on uh the forecast yesterday. But so then what does this mean for Terrence Ferguson?
10:42Because he played more 11 personnel snaps than he did his entire rookie season in week two. They're running even more heavier personnel looks and
10:50especially 13. And if he's out there in those, then we know that he is now the second best pass catcher on the field in
10:59those situations and it's not that half of his targets are 20 plus yards down the field anymore. Uh we got him on the
11:04snake routes and run after the catch and all that type of stuff. So, while as Harmon put it, you know, he might be a
11:09bit bambi on ice in terms of not being able to control all of his limbs like a fully grown adult at this point when he
11:16runs routes and after the catch, uh, that might not matter as much as just being out there being an awesome athlete
11:22and being forcefed the football in those situations.
11:24>> I think it definitely does not matter how good he is. If you're getting this amount of looks, it does it really does
11:30not matter. We're talking 30%.
11:31>> I also think he's good, by the way. I don't want to say he's good. He just is a bit awkward. He he's learning the
11:36position. He's like learning the timing of routes. He's got to catch the ball better. But some of that is like that
11:40his head's not turning around quite in time or he's not probably hitting the exact landmark that Matthew Stafford's probably drilling over and 13 expected
11:47points at tight end position last week uh for Ferguson. 30% targets on a team that's going to be projected from even
11:53in bad matchups like this one against the Broncos, they're still projected for 23 points. That's going to be the lowest on the road. It's it'll be from 23 to 30
12:01points. if he's anywhere near 30% targets, he's going to walk to a top five uh per game finish for as long as
12:08Puknua is out. So like I really hope that you guys prioritized him over anybody else in the waiverwire. And you guys really should have picked him up
12:14with the the second we saw that DMP from Pukua, that was a time to sprint. So hopefully um you guys got got them.
12:21>> And last point, Titan is deeper than ever this year. And so even if you're starting someone like Don Concincaid or
12:29Joan Johnson in your tight end spot or even you invested in an early pick like Coulson Lovelin and maybe not this week
12:37but like Tyler Warren for example, a bunch of these names.
12:40>> When we talk about these late wide receivers and we already did it with the running backs, putting Terrence Ferguson in your flex is extremely viable and
12:47extremely feasible over the wide receiver 34 that we talk about here today.
12:52>> Yep. Yeah. For example, like Travis Kelce is predicted for nine points right now. Like that's gonna be better than probably the wide receiver 29,
12:59>> right? Okay. Is Justin Jefferson who your is your wide receiver seven at the Tampa Buccaneers? Is this the first name
13:06in the A tier or do we want to keep going?
13:08>> Uh let's keep let's continuing here. Um just because we have the the Buccaneers defense has not been that convincing to
13:15me. Jacob Parish is on the injury report. That's their quarterback, too.
13:18They have not been able to rush the passer individually. Ruben Bane is on the injury report. Uh Jose Troder, linebacker, he's been on the injury
13:24report. Their other offball linebacker has been horrific as well. Plus, we just don't know what the running back position is going to be. Aaron Jones, uh
13:32he's been on the injury report himself and Jordan Mason's on IR. Like, this could just be a situation where they're like, we're not going to even try to run
13:38the ball with DJ Dallas to Vea. Let's just throw the ball to Justin Jefferson versus Ion Mcllum and and kind of see
13:43what happens there. So, they're projected for 22 points on the road. Um if Aaron Jones is out, like that would definitely help Justin Jefferson. Yeah,
13:50he's wide receiver three in terms of air yards and team target share at this point, which is exactly what we knew
13:55would happen heading into the season.
13:57Um, I will add the first glimpses of Kyler Murray were not good. I understand it was two series, but he threw an
14:03interception on like his first drop back and then kind of abandoned the pocket and all that type of stuff on his second
14:08one. Um, but like you said, the Bucks defense has once again been a roller coaster. They have struggled to rush the
14:13passer and Todd BS can confuse some quarterbacks. So I have no idea what to expect here, but it is going to be all
14:21on Kyler Murray because they are not going to be able to run the ball with Aaron Jones against Vita with like a
14:26200lb difference between the two guys.
14:28>> Yeah, definitely agree there. Other note, the Vikings are number 32 in neutral pass rate through the first two weeks. Obviously that's with Carson
14:34Wentz and it was a rainy conditions that they've typically been top five. So I'm just trying to figure out exactly what
14:39the split's going to be this year.
14:41Okay, Parker Washington against the New England Patriots is your wide receiver 11. Excuse me, wide receiver eight. It's wide receiver 11 in consensus rankings.
14:51So, still we're ahead of market on Pwash. Does that place him in S tier or A tier?
14:57>> Um, let's drop him down one tier. Uh, but it's close. It's close. Parker Washington is going to be one of the
15:02best picks out there. 38% target shares only uh trailing Jackson Smith and Jigba. 40 air yards per game, only trailing Chris Olive. The production has
15:11been lights out. I think the tape has been excellent. He's clearly the most manufactured player in the offense. And then you get to the Patriots defense
15:18here. They could stop the run. They got two incredible defensive tackles. They plus they put a lot of resources inside the box. Then you have uh Christian
15:24Gonzalez, who I think is just going to be playing uh against Brian Thomas for for the rest of the game. And the rest
15:30of the secondary I don't think is very weak. So like it's a difficult defense to go against, but kind of difficult for
15:36everybody else. And then they're probably going to have the the go- go stuff from Parker Washington on the inside. So, I don't even think it's that
15:42difficult of a matchup. And they're projected for the seventh most points as a team.
15:45>> The slot work has been so key for PE Wash and it's why we brought him up so often this summer. Like he avoided Denzo
15:51Ward in week one. Yep.
15:53>> And then you mostly avoid Patrick Zertan in week two and then Christian Gonzalez has only according to Reeves gone in the
15:59slot six times through two weeks and then last year had like a total of 34 snaps of coverage in in the slot. So,
16:06this team runs a ton of two tight end sets, don't get me wrong. Uh, that's even, you know, more advantageous for
16:12Parker Washington because he's the go-to player in that, but especially in these three wide receiver sets. You sacrifice some of these outside players here and
16:20you just get Parker Washington over the middle of the field over and over and over again on these big crossers. And
16:25it's the most important part of the Liam Kenoff >> Patriots defense. Also Draymond Jones, their their new outside linebacker, cornerback, too. Carlton Davis, Craig
16:34Woodson, a starting safety for them. All of them have not been playing, so we'll see about the final injury report with
16:38them.
16:39>> Garrett Wilson is your wide receiver 10.
16:42This is at the Detroit Lions. Uh there's a lot of connective tissue between these two teams. Uh Aaron Glenn, head coach,
16:49used to be the DC, so on and so forth.
16:51Anyways, Detroit right now is fourth in the league in terms of rate of man coverage, around 30%. Uh, and Garrett Wilson against man coverage has been
17:00targeted 44% of the time so far this season.
17:03>> That's incredible because he hasn't been targeted like even that much. And then I'm looking at the injury report. Mason Taylor is not going to play. That's
17:10their starting tight end. Obviously Omar Cooper, their first round of the slot.
17:13He's on injured reserve. And then Adai Mitchell is dealing with a finger injury. This is assuming Adai Mitchell is in. If Adine Mitchell is out, they're
17:20going to have to drop back a million times. They're going to play a lot of man coverage and Garrett Wilson's just
17:24going to eat against it. Doesn't matter.
17:25like they don't have any any pieces in the secondary for for Detroit here.
17:29They're still projected for 21 points as well. So like this is like the best time to buy Garrett Wilson. I would buy low
17:36on him. He's a positive regression candidate on top of that. I think Gino Smith has been totally functional here and like this is the match up to go
17:42absolutely crazy.
17:42>> Yeah, per the worksheet, Detroit has allowed a league high five touchdowns uh when blitzing so far this season. And in
17:49two games versus the Blitz, Gino is 14 of 19. Um, so if we get like high completion rate, Gina Smith, especially
17:57if they can protect with four and it forces Kalvin Shepard to blitz to try to create pressure, then that's to me where
18:04like a real pathway for the Jets to be frisky here. Yeah, makes a lot of sense.
18:08And while I think that they can run the ball, it just gets to a point where you have to sustain the game script in order
18:15to run the ball because they are six and a half point underdogs at this moment.
18:19>> We've been doing this show for like fiveish years, Josh. I think this is probably the most confident I've been in
18:23uh for Garrett Wilson going into a week uh ever.
18:26>> Like environment-wise, >> just the everything.
18:28>> Yes, I agree with you. Yeah, I a lot of people are Cardinals curious. I I am Jets curious. So, >> what can go wrong?
18:35>> What can go wrong? Next up is George Pickkins. Let's talk through this one.
18:41This is against the Baltimore Ravens. We went through the CD Lamb stuff. George Pickin so far this year is six targets,
18:47three catches, 28 yards, eight targets, six receptions, 40 yards. Um, he was drafted Hayden as a wide receiver one, like a top 12
18:57player at the position. Should he have been like we're only two weeks into this, but or should he have been drafted
19:02closer to like T. Higgins and that's how we should view him in fantasy that's a bit more volatile when CD Lamb is on the
19:08field.
19:08>> So, there's been 15 games with CD Lamb.
19:11Uh Pickkins is a wide receiver, 16 on wide receiver, 12 usage, a 22% target share, which is like kind of like right
19:16on that wide receivert two border. He's just been running really cold with touchdowns. Uh so 0.27 touchdowns per game. Uh and then in the four games when
19:25CD Lamb missed, he scored five touchdowns over a touchdown per game.
19:28Like that's what we've been missing with George Pickkins. I don't think that's because CD Lamb's on the field. I think that's just what variance is like. Um,
19:35so I think he you were drafting George Pickkins like 24th overall expecting like a maybe a slight loss if CD Lamb
19:41stayed healthy the entire year and then if CD Lamb goes down now you have like a first round pick. So I think I'm still
19:46fine with it. I think he's a buy low uh definitely here and uh like we said with uh the the Ravens secondary it's a good
19:52it's a good secondary. They're going to throw a lot of stuff with Jesse Mter um and a lot of funky zone coverage stuff.
19:58I still just trust Dak Prescott. It's also has not been helpful that uh Trey Smith, one of the best linemen in the
20:04NFL, has not played for the Cowboys.
20:06>> Tyler Smith, I think. Um yeah, it's the Rword has hit George Pickkins in regression. Like he was super hot with
20:14all this stuff last year and then he's running cold with it this year. So maybe evens out as the season goes along.
20:19>> Definitely.
20:21>> Okay. So we always talk about players you're higher on the consensus. This next one in Devonte Smith, you are lower
20:27on than consensus. They have him as wide receiver seven. You're at wide receiver 13. Is this just because he's not practicing right now? Uh going to face
20:35the Chicago Bears.
20:36>> Yeah, this little hamstring injury has kind of been following him. So, I'm assuming that he's totally fine as he was last week when he was he was
20:42excellent. He got four passes in the two-minute drill.
20:44>> I think the reason why I'm lower on him is because >> I don't trust the Bears offense with the third string quarterback against Vic
20:52Fio. And there are too many games where the Eagles just like don't have to pass the ball very much. Now, the the run
20:58game has been such a disaster that they're they're turning to just throw the ball down the field. And >> now this week,
21:04>> and the matchup is excellent. Like one-on-one coverage shots, like Tyreek Stevenson, their number two corner has been like completely cooked and he's got
21:10a hamstring injury himself, Jaylen Johnson's been very like individually, this is an awesome matchup. I worry if this is a game where he gets like seven
21:17targets and then everyone else around this gets, you know, 10 targets. I think that's the reason why I'm a have to. I
21:22don't dislike Damonte Smith.
21:23>> And the team is only projected for 23 points. So I think the markets are projecting almost like a long drawn out
21:31drives rather than these explosive plays in the passing game because like there there are other matchups where you know a team is favored by four and a half and
21:39they're projected for 28 points or 29 points or 27 points. So being a full touchdown below that that the Eagles are
21:46uh >> it makes me believe we have a Saquon Barkley week.
21:51>> Oh god.
21:52>> But what can go wrong? Yeah, I think it's a good point because like George Pickkins, they're projected for more points and they're expected to lose.
21:58Like how many more dropbacks is Dak Prescott going to have than Jaylen Herz this week? It'll be a lot.
22:02>> Okay, Jaylen Wadd is up next for you.
22:04The monkey off our backs happened in week two thankfully. Uh but what are we going to get Hayden? This is against the
22:12LA Rams who have invested a lot in corners. Week one it was not great for them. Week two was outstanding for them.
22:18So, how is Shawn Payeyton and Bo Nicks and Jaylen Wadd going to attack this Rams defense?
22:24>> I'm just trusting what week two showed me, which is that he's going to be the focal point of the offense. Uh, he had
22:3010 targets, 14.3 expected half PPR points. A lot of fun stuff from him. You got him like in the screen games, some
22:35quick outs, like some some of the layup stuff returned for Jaylen Waddle. And then you also had like the fun stuff,
22:40that big post route where you had both of the big bodied outside receivers uh do in cuts to bring the safeties down.
22:47when he goes over the top. So, I think it was very clearly a focal point. I even thought in week one he was still a
22:52focal point like just Bo Knicks was just like not pulling the trigger to him. Uh I think the Rams defense is going to be
22:57very good. Uh but you know if they're expected to lose this game which they are and they're at home and the Broncos
23:04are still number one in neutral pass rate right now or right up there at the top of it. Um he's going to get the rock
23:10a ton. This is another one of those matchups that you look on paper and how much the Rams have invested on offense,
23:16how much the Broncos have invested on offense, and yet the total for this game is all the way down at 44 and a half.
23:21Um, this is probably the lowest projected total that like the Rams and the Broncos might see all season unless they face like the Seattle Seahawks,
23:29>> you know.
23:29>> Yeah. Yep. Totally agree.
23:32>> Okay, next is T. Higgins. This is at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Uh, I love the over- the- middle stuff that T was
23:39getting last week. Like Jamar Chase was making unreal catches uh along the sideline and then T was doing inbreaker after inbreaker. Uh, and then I
23:49understand that Joey Porter Jr. like returned to practice on a limited basis.
23:52Uh, it still does not sound like he is going to return to the >> right. Yeah, he just wants money and I
23:57totally get it. Joey Porter is a very good football player and the top corners make a lot of money. So, totally get
24:01that. Uh, the Bengals are first neutral pass rate going back to Jaylen Waddle.
24:04The Broncos are second. So, like this team, they're doing more under center stuff, but in neutral conditions, they still want to pass the ball out of
24:10shotgun. Um, he's averaging 105 air yards, 25% target share through the first two weeks. He's a wide receiver, 12 in targets per game. He just hasn't
24:18scored the the big plays um yet. So, I think he's a great buy low. Since 2023 with Joe Burrow uh healthy, he's the
24:26wide receiver 15 on wide receiver 10 usage. That's very close to the George Pickins point that you're talking about.
24:30They're projected for 23 points. Uh the Steelers offense is so bad that I just don't get the shootout, you know, feeling here. So,
24:37>> let's talk through Tedaro McMillan. He is next for you as wide receiver 16.
24:42This is at the Cleveland Browns. Uh just quickly, Hayden, is this a tier still or are we dropping down to Btier? Probably
24:48A.
24:49>> Yeah, this is A tier for me. He's a wide receiver five in expected points here.
24:53Um and we have some Jaylen Coker stuff that we have to get to. I'm unsure if he's going to play. This is assuming
24:59he's going to play. Uh, but it's just these two guys like Xavier Legett's been banged up and he's not involved. The you
25:05got a couple Darren Wallers uh targets, but for the most part it's just like T-Mac, Coker, Chuba Hubard, and that's it. And they're projected for the 14th
25:13most points. Uh, he'll see some Denzel Ward. I still think Denzel Ward's a very good player. Uh, but T-Mac's also a very
25:20good player.
25:21>> Yeah, the Browns are running the highest rate of man coverage in the league right now. uh what the Panthers did against
25:26some of the Bear stuff in week one with that was a bunch of out and ups. I wonder what their answer is this time
25:31because you can't just keep running double moves over and over and over again or else you know teams are going to catch on.
25:35>> It's pretty.
25:36>> Um >> Reeves noted that last year T-Mac was targeted on 29.3% of his routes against man coverage compared to about 21%
25:44against zone coverage. Now it's a new play caller and we saw him torch zone coverage last week against the Atlanta Falcons. So I just think the passing
25:51game has just improved overall. Uh, we'll talk about the Coker stuff once we get down there because I think Xavier Legget is also dealing with like a knee
25:59thing and might be getting an MRI on top of it. So, it's uh >> it's a mass unit right now. Uh,
26:04surprisingly. Okay. Mike Evans pops up as your wide receiver 18. This is against the Arizona Cardinals. He's still running a route on only about like
26:1472% of dropbacks, which is solid. I would love a 72% route rate Mike Evans for 17 games this year. However, because
26:25you're chopping off about 20-ish percent, that can give you, you know, a touchdown in week one versus this past week when you have a dominant matchup
26:33>> that only equals three catches for for 54 yards. And once again, we have one of those matchups where they're projected
26:39to just demolish the Arizona Cardinals.
26:41>> I think he's going to settle in as a boom bust wide receiver, too. the Niners projected for the third most points.
26:47It's an awesome matchup. The Cardinals defense has been getting kind of lit up by everybody. There's been coverage bust on tape and then Will Johnson, their top
26:54corner, uh like a projected first round pick kind of fell because of injuries.
26:59Now he might be out for the the year.
27:00Max Melton, he missed some time with a toe injury. Uh Garrett Wilson has been uh limited or Garrett Williams uh he's
27:08been limited with a with an Achilles injury. So they're just a really bad spot for the the Cardinals secondary.
27:13So, um I think he's going to get goal line touchdowns and I think that he's looked good on tape. Uh he also hasn't
27:19practiced with the hip injury. I think that they're like he's just not going to practice this year. Like that's just what we Yeah.
27:24>> Yeah. Like typically vet days are on Wednesdays. Uh Mike Evans might be a Monday through Thursday kind of guy.
27:31Like I can't even tell you if the hip thing is real because they were winning so much last week. At the same time, we
27:38I thought like the groin and the quad and all that stuff was real during training camp and then he told us after
27:44training camp it was not real. So, he's just going to be listed like you said, not with like undisclosed or personal or
27:50any of that. It's just going to be a different thing each week.
27:52>> Agree. Agree.
27:53>> Okay. Next is Lad McConi at the Buffalo Bills. Uh the Chargers averaged 6.7 yards per play on Sunday with Lad
28:04Makanki on the field. 41% success rate without him. And you could really feel it. Everything wrong wrong that went with the Chargers was when he was not in
28:12the field. They averaged 3.6 yards per play with a 31% success rate on 34 snaps. Uh, and this was like nearly
28:19identical to week one, Hayden. So, I would love to see like a full-time Lad Makanki. And if we get that, then good
28:24things are going to happen.
28:25>> Yeah, I hope he's a full-time player. It sounds like, you know, another week after the rib injury, probably settling into a little bit better of a spot.
28:31They're also going to be forced to pass the ball a ton because they're facing the Buffalo Bills. And I have zero faith
28:37in the Chargers defense stopping Josh Allen right now. So they're expected to lose by seven points and those game scripts that Lad Mankey should get the
28:43ball a ton. The State of the Union the both of the their blocking tight ends are going to be out. Their left guard
28:50that they like like he's probably not going to play as well. Like it's it's a tough spot like individually across the
28:56board. Uh they also have a top corner Christian Benford, but I I feel like Christian Benford might go uh up against
29:02Quinton Johnston. I think there is a a pretty big tiered break uh to the rest of their secondary. So, I think it's a
29:08good spot for Lad Manki, but you still don't feel comfortable because he's like not a full-time player, the rib injury.
29:15>> Yeah, I had that game on Sunday and he wasn't in for the first three critical third downs and they didn't convert any
29:22of them. And then the second half they put him on the field for those third downs and then those are the only
29:26positive plays that they had. So yeah, I mean everything is wrong with the Chargers except for Justin Herbert to Lad Maki and it sucks that Lad's not out
29:35there all the time because he just is getting banged up right now. Should I move him to Btier?
29:40>> Uh yeah, I think so.
29:41>> Okay. Okay. I just want to be, you know, fair to the people out there. Okay, that brings us next to Jameson Williams as
29:50your wide receiver 20 on the week. Um this is against the New York Jets.
29:54Hayden, I am assuming this is entirely matchup based and also how you know the fantasy football players play where oh he down first two weeks just as we're
30:04hesitant to start him he's going to have a monster uh matchup and a monster productive week and that could happen here against this Jets defense.
30:13>> If you drafted Jameson Williams and you're not comfortable with this like that's you know that's a personal problem. He's going to dud dud and then
30:18boom and that's just how the season's going to go. I uh don't want to have him on my bench because the Lions are
30:24projected for the fifth most points and they're facing the Jets. The Jets aren't going to have one of their safeties. The
30:29Jets I don't think have great outside corners. Uh the big caveat here is Jame Williams is not going to get the layup
30:36target that he got in his absolute beak because of Sam Leor. Like that's that's a fact. Um, but at the same time, I
30:42think the Jets could score points against the Lions defense and the Lions offense of line right now is not in the
30:49best spot where I do think that them just throwing the ball up to Jameson Williams is like not the worst case
30:53scenario. He's also a positive like regression candidate as well. Like the usage is still there um to like some degree. The wide receiver 28 according
31:00to my model right now. Um so, you know, live with the results. Uh he one of these weeks he'll finish as the wide
31:05receiver three overall and you can't have that player ranked as the wide receiver 40. Yeah, it really might happen in this one. I mean, he's out
31:12there 95% of the time, but as you said, we just don't get the gimmies. Instead, it's all the outbreakers, all the
31:18downfield routes right now. So, like the crossers against the grain was the stuff that gave us like a consistent floor with with Jameson Williams.
31:28>> Malik Neighbors is your wide receiver 21. This is against the Tennessee Titans. And I think this is a massive discussion because
31:36>> if Jameus Winston has anything, this is the week to show it, right? They are favorites in this game against the
31:44Titans.
31:45>> Uh if this team has any faith after giving a contract extension to Jameus Winston, this is the matchup to do it
31:53because the Titans cornerback room is an absolute mess so far through the first two weeks. And so I think we're gonna
32:00learn a lot from Harbaugh and Matt Naggie and Greg Roman and all that if hey they actually want Jamus to drop
32:07back and throw the ball or if they're just going to play ball control with the running game, play defense and win the
32:14margins.
32:15>> Yeah, they got shredded down the football field by Devonte Smith and Dantavian Wixs and then like Cordell Flot, their their prized free agent.
32:23He's been injured. Um and we'll see if he's going to play in this one. It's such a good spot. I do you think I
32:29should move Malik Neighbors up? Like I I feel like I haven't loved the Malik Neighbors tape like I typically do. It's
32:35like a definitely a teier spot.
32:36>> The shoulder thing is a weird thing too on top of this.
32:39>> But he's at least been practicing and he said he got imaging he's going to play through like he's he's had this shoulder
32:44problem for a long time. I don't like that he's coming back. Yeah, >> it stinks when you have a long-term shoulder issue that you like dislocate
32:53it and then you just put it back in on the sideline and then you go back in and play like yes you're doing it but
32:59>> the more that happens >> the worse long term it gets to like it it's just going to be easier and easier
33:04to pop out on top of it.
33:06>> Yeah. Um, now like the guys ahead of him, you know, I'm talking about Mike Evans, Lad Maki, Jameson Williams. We're
33:10not talking about like, you know, full full bill of health and like a great role. So like I I'm gonna think about
33:15this more. The Jame Williams stuff or the the Jamus Winston stuff is like definitely like I think a net win for
33:22Malik Neighbors because >> even if he throws like a pick six and stuff like that's just going to force him into, you know, crazy game scripts
33:28and >> Jameus typically wants to throw the ball up to his top wide receiver.
33:33>> Yeah. Titans pass defense allowed a league high 81% completion rate on throws to wide receivers with 11.3 yards per target. So, are we moving him up?
33:43>> Yeah, let's let's move him up ahead uh to the top of B tier. But he's somebody I'm going to I'm going to spend some
33:49more time on like really thinking about.
33:50Yeah, it was frustrating because I thought week one showed some rough edges obviously when you miss that much time, but he was on the field and then there
34:00were some yards off the catch moments that if he stayed on his feet, some good things could work.
34:04>> Yeah.
34:04>> And then week two happens and it's just like, okay, how do we reset and go from here? And again, that's why I think week
34:11three will tell a lot about what this team thinks that they want to be moving forward. Mhm.
34:16>> Okay. Rashi Rice is your wide receiver, 22. This is at the Miami Dolphins, and his role has really changed. I mean, he
34:24ran a screen on 10% of his routes the past two seasons. That's down to 3% so far. However, he is on the field all the
34:32time. I mean, he's running a route on a career-high 84.5% of drop back. So, while we think he has a linear skill set
34:41and not as good as wide receivers constantly drafted around him, at some point playing an offense that scores a lot >> Yeah.
34:48>> points and you're on the field all the time, >> I don't think Rushy Rice might like totally fail like other wide receivers
34:56Yeah. will this season.
34:57>> I totally agree with that. Uh he's been blocking for Xavier Worthy on all those screens. Like that's been a problem.
35:03Kenneth Walker's catching a bunch of passes and that's been a problem for Rashi Rice. And then you look at the matchup and they're projected for 28
35:10points and the Dolphins have been I mean it's the ACC defense like that's what that's what the Miami Dolphins are at
35:17this point. Like the amount of coverage bust uh from last week. Did you see a single uh Dolphin touching a 49er in the
35:23past game the entire game? Like I didn't like >> you know and like they have like uh we're talking about rookies over the
35:29middle of the football field. like I think these rookies are going to eventually be good, but they've been swimming in the slot and swimming at
35:34linebacker and that's where Rashi Rice wins. Um so I think his role is officially changed and then Patrick Mahomes is better than I thought he was
35:43going to be um this quick and they're projected for 28 points. So play him.
35:47>> Mahomes though is throwing the ball to wide receivers at the lowest rate in the league at just 42 and a half% of his
35:53targets.
35:54>> Kelsey.
35:55>> Okay, DJ Moore is here as your wide receiver 23. What's the latest on him?
36:00Because it feels like I mean we obviously haven't seen him on the field for a week and a week and a half by the
36:07time he hits the field this week.
36:08>> So I watched a clip of him in practice on Wednesday when he was a limited participant and he went up for a ball
36:13and caught the ball above his uh head, which to me was a sign that he's probably going to play. He didn't
36:19practice on on Thursday, but typically with these AC joint injuries, like you either have the mobility and you're comfortable with the injection or you're
36:26not. He says he wants to play. To me, that means that he's probably going to get this injection. He's probably going
36:30to wear a brace. He's probably not going to have the same exact goal as he typically does. And then it's kind of
36:36like the Rashi Rice thing. Well, even if you know the role is not going to be perfect this week because you're playing
36:41through this injury, you're projected for 29 points against the Chargers, who by the way, the Chargers defense has been equally as bad as some of the other
36:47defenses we've been talking about. And they're pretty small at corner. And DJ Moore is like a tough tackle when he's fully going there. So, you know, I'm
36:54starting the wide receivers that are projected for 29 points. There's going to be a surprise name in a second. Uh my
36:59like Rashad Baitman of the week, the my Trey Tucker of the week is coming and he's on the Bills.
37:05>> Okay. Well, next is Jaylen Coker. And we just got news while we're recording this that Jaylen Coker is it looks like he's
37:13practicing today. So, that's good.
37:15Unfortunately for the Panthers, Deon Lloyd is missing his third straight practice. So, again, everything we talked about Quinn Sean Judkins on the
37:21running back ranking show and I did it over on the forecast channel. Um, I would still lean into Quinch Judkins here. But talk to me about Jaylen Coker
37:29because I mean the start to this season has been freaking outstanding. And going back to last year, four straight games of at least six catches. [laughter]
37:38>> Yeah, he's a wide receiver, seven on wide receiver seven usage to start the year. The Panthers have been high in
37:44neutral pass rate and neutral pace. Like this is a fun offense and they're high in average depth of targets. Like it's
37:50exactly what you want and it's very, you know, funneled to these top guys. So Jaylen Coker is is here for for the long
37:57haul. Um and then like you said, if you start including like what he did to close last year, it's like lights out
38:03stuff. He's averaging 19 half PPR points in his last four outings, including that Rams game in the first two games here.
38:08So he's in an awesome spot, especially if Denzel Ward's going to be facing off with T-Mac a little bit more. It was
38:13just the ankle injury why I had him a little bit lower here, but um he played through that ankle injury last week and
38:18he looked incredible.
38:19>> Awesome. Yeah, it's one of those situations where it's so narrow in terms of where the football is going that I
38:27would be concerned with the Panthers offense if one of these guys misses.
38:31>> Yeah.
38:31>> Because the drop off to the next talent is sizable. It's massive.
38:37>> But when all these guys play, it can be really freaking good. It can be really good. So >> maybe maybe they're like a Jerry Judy
38:44team, you know, like getting one like if they're going to be serious and make a push. [laughter] I know. I'm just trying
38:48to piss you off here. How about can I interest you in Calvin Ridley?
38:52>> No.
38:53>> I mean, if someone misses like Yeah, John Mchi will be the first name up. So, uh that that that's kind of what's
39:00there.
39:00>> All right. Josh DS is your wide receiver 25. This is an interesting discussion to me because while we can like watch him
39:10last week and say the routes are really cool, then it was let's say a tier above PPR scam level. Yes.
39:19>> Um he is, you know, running about 60% of his routes out of the slot. And to me, it's just going to be hilarious to
39:28watch, you know, this Shane Cyclut offense sacrifice Laquan Treadwell and Kenan Allen to uh Derek Stingley and Kamari Ler on the outside. And hopefully
39:37Josh DS finds the end zone on top of his like 65 yards receiver.
39:41>> It was just so obvious that Shane Stiken like wanted Josh DS to be like the centerpiece of the pass game uh last
39:47week. like got him in motion a bunch of times, like a lot of little option routes. Like that's where Josh Downs is
39:52at his best. Like he can threaten intermediate more than most slot wide receivers. We don't have to pretend that he's going to be like, you know, like
39:59the next Tyler Locket here. So I think he's going to be a very good player.
40:01They're going to absolutely need him.
40:03And uh I do think he's not going to see as much Dererick Stingley as you would kind of think because of the way that
40:11Shane Stiken's kind of like I'm not saying hiding Josh DS but like he's just like putting him in >> motion stacks as he should and he's very
40:19and Josh Down is very good at that. My only concern is without Alec Pierce, this offense might be like so
40:28constricted, like seven foot ceilings in your house, you know, >> like it's it's just going to feel so condensed >> and uh I think the Texans are like
40:37really going to be able to take advantage of that.
40:39>> Definitely. So, Tyler Warren, speaking on the tight ends real quick, um like six of his seven targets last week were
40:45at or behind the line of scrimmage.
40:47We have to do some more real pass game stuff here. Um, and we'll see about it.
40:54>> Okay. Debo Samuel vers the Arizona Cardinals. A name that a lot of people picked up after week one. And talk about
41:02condensed. That wide receiver room has gotten even more condensed since then with Demarcus Robinson missing time.
41:07That has boosted Debo from like a 55% route rate to an 80% route rate last week. And in a game where they're
41:14projected for so many points, like you would like to think that Debo Samuel has a nice shot of finding the end zone.
41:20>> I think Debo Samuel was a must start.
41:21He's had screens, backfield usage, carries, quick outs off of play action and intermediate targets in each of the games. Like all those things I just
41:28listed that happened in both of the games.
41:31>> Josh Deshawn Stribbling was going to absolutely cook. Like I I'm so I'm so pissed about this.
41:35>> I'm so frustrated. Think about I mean he was going to run 90% of routes on a team that is running over everyone in terms
41:42of just throwing over them, passing the ball, one of the best offenses already.
41:47>> This it would have been incredible for the season.
41:50>> I actually think he might have finished as like the number one rookie in fantasy football if he played.
41:56>> Yeah, I mean he would probably be a top 24 guy this week. So that absolutely stinks. I will say this, Debo Samuel has
42:03looked pretty healthy and like pretty solid to me on on tape here and he's got an awesome role. Um he's a wide receiver
42:1026 on wide receiver 33 usage. They're projected for the third most points.
42:13Like he's an he's an absolute layup line must start wide receiver three right now.
42:18>> I know viewers commenters laugh at us when we talk about well the process was good but the results might have been
42:24bad. I mean the dribbling process was flawless. It was truly flawless >> all the way through. All the way up to
42:30the turtleneck.
42:32>> Yeah. All right. Mecha Eggbuka.
42:35>> I mean, wide receiver 27 against the Minnesota Vikings.
42:40Baker Mayfield has completed 11 of 25 of his throws, 10 or more yards down the field. Only Cooper Rush and Aaron Rogers
42:49have a worse completion rate in that area. I mean, Baker has been abysmal to start the season. He's running into sacks. He's lost the most EPA four sacks
42:58and uh that's a bad recipe when you're going up against Brian Flores in this defense.
43:04>> The Vikings have been the best fantasy wide receiver defense over the last 10 games and it's like not even close. Like
43:10they've been shutting down everybody and that Brian Flores defense is like fully unlocked now that they have, you know, Dallas Turner uh breaking out, Jaylen
43:18Redmond uh defensive attack, like even like Caleb Banks like a rotational defensive attack. those guys can get after the pass rusher or the the
43:26quarterback like individually on top of all the crazy stuff. So, I don't feel comfortable with this. Tampa Bay is only projected for 20 and a half points.
43:32That's 23rd. Um, so I do think that Amecha's could be like a nice like quick out like like some of like the little
43:41quick outs and stuff. Like I do think that's like the best way to beat this Brian Flores kind of defense. And I
43:45think that he can do that. But I feel very uncomfortable with the floor. I I really hope next week I can just say
43:51he's a by low and then we can like go on from there. But you know, the Baker problems get like absolutely magnified
43:57by the Brian Flores defense.
43:59>> Next is Rashad Baitman as your wide receiver 28. Uh is this going to still be in B tier or should we move to Ctier?
44:06Is it B because we highly doubt Z Flowers plays? He hasn't practiced all week even if he is traveling to Brazil.
44:12>> Um yeah, let's go B tier. One last name in B. Yeah, one one last time.
44:19>> So with Rashad Baitman last week, he was the wide receiver 10 on wide receiver 17 usage. I think the wide receiver 17
44:24usage is important because they just don't have anybody else to throw the ball to. Like when Zay Flowers is not it's like guys that you don't even know
44:30how to pronounce the name behind behind him. He is a first round a former first round pick. I know like he has not been
44:36a first round uh caliber player, but there's like more juice here than like some of the other guys that kind of walk
44:42into like a big role like this. Also on top of that, uh, the Cowboys coverage bust have been unreal the entire season.
44:49Uh, Kobe Durant, their their quarterback, too. New player for them, hamstring injury, he's not going to play here. Malik Hooker a safety, not going
44:56to play here. A linebacker Overshawn, he's not going to play. And then the the Ravens are projected for 28 and a half
45:01points. So, like obviously, you give Derrick Henry two touchdowns, you give Mark Andrew a touchdown, and you have another touchdown to go to get to this
45:08team total. And I think like Rashad Bait's like firmly uh in that category.
45:12I will say these last two weeks, the Ravens, just from watching them, don't look nearly as good in the second half
45:18as they do in the first half. Like obviously they blew out the the Colts in week one and Z Flowers missed in that
45:24second half, right?
45:25>> But the offense like couldn't move the ball other than on the ground until they got like a 43 yard to Chris Moore. And
45:31then this past week against the Saints, >> uh again, Lamar Jackson was pressured on about 55% of his drop backs. when he was
45:40pressured. Lamar threw for two yards per pass attempt and interception, took three sacks.
45:45>> Ronnie Stanley's dealing with a toe. He missed practice. He is traveling, so we don't know if he's going to play.
45:49>> Y >> the Cowboys have struggled to create pressure on anyone, so it might not matter here. It's kind of on my radar
45:54that they're getting really hot starts.
45:56>> Yeah.
45:57>> And then kind of limping to the finish line. I think that's just the reality of like when Rashad Baiton's your wide
46:02receiver one and the wide receiver two is a rotation. I I think they get into some situations where like teams are
46:07selling out to stop the run and then you either have like okay are we going to actually run the ball into these crazy
46:12boxes with Bear Kenn or like am I going to throw a one-on-one ball to Chris Moore and Wester and all that type of
46:16stuff. And I think that's that's a problem they've been running into.
46:18>> Devon Valle is your wide receiver 29.
46:21This is against the Las Vegas Raiders.
46:24Um, Tyler Shuck is the inverse of that.
46:28In the first half of games, his quarterback rating is only ahead of Cooper Rush and Daniel Jones, according to Rich Rebar's worksheet. In the second
46:37half, he's lights out. 40 of 53, 475 yards, four touchdowns, and just one INT.
46:43>> Cooper Rush gets a lot of call outs in in in these type of shows because it's always like, who is worse?
46:47>> The sample size. Once it gets larger, we will not be including him moving forward. I'm sure he'll be very thankful
46:53for that. Um, >> just cash for checks.
46:55>> Yes. Uh, Bailey, I mean, the role is like really good. He's the wide receiver 16 on wide receiver 16 usage to start
47:01the season. He's a he's a fine enough player. He's going to be in the right spot and the zone coverage stuff when
47:06you're number one in pace and you're dropping back as often as they do. And then this matchup is is really good
47:11against the Raiders. Um, they have a couple players on the injury report right now. They haven't been tested based off of their matchups. Um, and you
47:18know, like if Tyler Shuck's going to drop back 38 to 50 times per game, then it's not that hard for Bailey, Jawan
47:25Johnson, and Chris Lobby to get help.
47:28>> Let's talk Adnai Mitchell, wide receiver, 30 on the week. Uh, he's been limited in practice for two straight days. Believe it was Rich Samini who
47:36reported that he caught his finger in a jersey yesterday. He's on the practice field this morning, at least stretching, but he has like his hand entirely
47:45wrapped. It looks like it's his right hand. To me, that's not a great sign for a guy who kind of struggles sometimes,
47:52you know, consistently catching the football to maybe not have one of his hands uh fully available.
47:58>> But at the same time, Hayden, like this is a smash spot, is it not? Like 14 airs per target, 47% of his targets are 10 or
48:05more yards on the field. And then Detroit has allowed seven receptions of 20 plus yards of wide receivers through two games. you know, Jay Glazer,
48:12somebody's going to have the report if he's going to play or not and to what capacity. Um, you know, I don't like
48:17like broken fingers with my wide receivers personally. Um, so we'll see.
48:21If he was fully healthy, this is where I would have him kind of like up in this tier, like a very startable player
48:26because the matchup is so excellent. Uh, I think some of the looks that he's gotten this year are like a little bit
48:31flimsy. Uh, but the role he's a full-time player and then everyone else is banged up on top of this. So, like if
48:36he's out there, I would get it. But like I mean like you said it's Adai Mitchell with hand problems. Like that's like
48:43this is a true like what can go wrong situation >> or orden >> maybe he's better at catching the football with one less hand you know
48:52like it can be so much of a roller coaster when he has two hands that maybe it adds to the concentration levels when
48:58he knows he can only use one of >> Yeah. Um I don't like that theory as much.
49:07Okay, Khalil Shakir is the name that you brought up. This is your wide receiver 31 and his role has changed this year,
49:15hasn't it?
49:16>> I just think like this is the week where they're going to have to kind of unlock him more because the DJ Moore stuff like
49:22I think he's going to play, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get quite as many looks or he's not a
49:26full-time player. And then Keon Coleman, he hasn't practiced with an ankle injury. I'm assuming he's out. Um, and Khalil Shakir has like been like a real
49:34player for the Buffalo Bills, like when they've when he's needed to be like a like actual target in the offense. Uh,
49:40he's also the wide receiver um nine in usage including the last four games and including the post postseason. So, it's not like that this is like that shocking
49:49uh either. Um, I just think he's going to be a big part of this pass game just considering the other injuries and
49:55they're projected for for 29 points. Uh, Derwin James has not been practicing. Uh Kendrick Bourne went crazy in the slot against the the Chargers. Trey McBride
50:04obviously went crazy over the middle as well. And then you got like the Trey Tucker stuff just kind of like a signal
50:08the Chargers defense isn't very good. So I think he's just like a solid football player and on a team that's projected
50:13for a lot of points.
50:14>> DK Metaf is up next. Uh in my underlying metrics lead uh DK Metaf is thriving.
50:21Yeah.
50:21>> This against the Cincinnati Bengals.
50:23Why? because he has around 26% of his team's target through the first two weeks with 48% and 30% of the air yards.
50:32None of that matters though if it's not actual yards on the field.
50:35>> No. And then you get DJ Turner. Um, correct. I think is awesome. Now DJ Turner is pretty small like but at the
50:41same time I just think DK Mechaf do you have to be 245 pounds? Like could he could he just look like other wide
50:48receivers across? He looks like a little bit too big to me at this point.
50:53Yeah. Um, it's interesting. Last year he was productive because he was turned into Michael Pitman. And now that he's back to kind of the DK Metaf role, that
51:04doesn't gel with what Aaron Rogers does.
51:07>> Well, whatever Aaron Rogers does now, >> I I'll raise it. Whatever Mike McCarthy is doing right now, Mike McCarthy is
51:14running the 2014 offense right now. And Rogers is like Aaron Rogers.
51:18>> Yes.
51:19>> Right. But Rogers is like, "Look, the defenses have changed. Like, I'm getting my ass kicked and there's a million unblocked pressures and our pass
51:26protection rules are a total mess right now. And then when I have to throw the ball one-on-one, DK Metaf's just getting
51:31absolutely swallowed by Christian Gonzalez types." So, like, >> yeah, but the the prayer yards are awesome like for what they're worth.
51:38Wide receiver nine in expected points.
51:39He's the wide receiver four in targets.
51:41So, like at some point like you've got to start him.
51:44>> Okay. Michael Wilson is next as your wide receiver 33. This is against the San Francisco 49ers on the road. Eight
51:51and a half point underdogs. So you're basically living in the garbage time world once again.
51:57>> However, Hayden, garbage time might be easier with Nick Bosa out for multiple weeks. Um, apparently he has another injury that popped up either during the
52:08game or in practice and their defensive line is already banged up significantly.
52:12>> Super banged up. Like Michael Williams hasn't returned. They've have two defensive tackles that were going to be very key parts of their uh defense.
52:19They're on injured reserve. Bosa, like you said, is now out. Week 11 last year, Jacob Bett's quarterback. They're playing against the 49ers. Michael
52:27Wilson goes for 185 yards. Um, >> yeah, >> garbage time, sure, but like how projectable is the garbage time? Pretty projectable. And then I will also say
52:36it's like competent garbage time. Like there's differences between like Cooper Rush garbage time and like Jacobe Brassette garbage time >> or like Jordan Love last night.
52:44>> Yes. Yeah, exactly. Um, I think Michael Wilson is this is like a game to like you can start him. And the
52:50fact that like we got Laflur saying like I got these other guys like I don't need Marvin. Like to me it's just like you
52:56know like a full acknowledgement of what we've been seeing on film for a while.
52:59It's like it's Michael Wilson and Trey McBride on one side and Marvin like might as well just like be sitting on
53:07the sideline and that's what I think is going to happen here.
53:09>> Put a pin in the Marv conversation.
53:10We'll save that to the end. Uh, Denzel Boston is up next for you as wide receiver 34 again against the Carolina
53:17Panthers. The Panthers so far has missed 24 tackles on defense through two games.
53:22Um, Denzel Boston has broken tackles on the way to long touchdowns.
53:28>> However, where he lines up, he's going to see a lot of JC Horn and Mike Jackson.
53:33>> On paper, this should be the type of wide receiver that they do very well against. Uh, but Denzel has been like
53:38the wide receiver 19 and 10 to open the season. However, that really doesn't mean anything for fantasy people because I doubt they've started him in those
53:45first two weeks. So, is now the time to do so?
53:48>> Uh, I think that you can, like you said, the Panthers defense, like I don't have a great read on them because they do
53:55have two awesome corners and then like they do have like an awesome defensive tackle. Like, in theory, they got an awesome edge rusher and linebacker, too.
54:01So, like I do wonder if like this defense is going to be like a little bit better of across the season. Um, and I
54:07do think that the the corners are like really good. Now for Boston, 21% target share. That's wide receiver 30 stuff.
54:13Wide receiver 29 and expected points.
54:15The Browns are projected for 20 points.
54:17Like we're not talking about like 16 points Browns. Um and Deshawn Watson played I think pretty decent this last year.
54:23>> Probably his best game in a Browns uniform I think.
54:25>> Yes. Um so there's a little bit of a trap factor here for Denzel Boston, but I think Denzel Boston is a really good player
54:33and he's looking like a really good player. Um so I think he's I think this is like an appropriate ranking. like I
54:38don't feel comfortable with it, but like we're running out of bodies here.
54:41>> Yeah. I mean, he's a wide receiver three. We're already at that point basically. Um I think there's two pathways here. If
54:49Deshun Watson doesn't turn the football over, I think the Browns win this game.
54:53Uh or he turns it over very quickly like they forced the Atlanta Falcons to do last week and just the Bluebirds come
55:00out immediately in his first home game back after his clash with the fans. So, we'll see.
55:06>> It'll be interesting. Each path is chaos.
55:08>> Yes.
55:08>> Okay. Stefon Diggs is your wide receiver. 35. This against the Seattle Seahawks. Diggs is coming off a two touchdown game. I thought the stuff near
55:17the goal line was awesome for him. That David Blau got him in full field motion under center acting like this is either
55:25going to be a handoff or play action. It was neither. It was a quick pass to him, a designed touchdown target, and he got
55:32it. Unfortunately, now we get the Seattle Seahawks as the second act.
55:37>> Yeah, I think Diggs is going to be great this year. Um, and this week you you can kind of it's like a little by-week for
55:42for Steph Diggs. Uh, Seahawks second best fantasy defense since week 10 once you adjust for the schedule. They have Nicki Manor kind of in the area where
55:50Diggs is going to be occupying. They might not have both of their like deep safeties. Like that's something to kind of uh keep in mind here. At the same
55:57time, Sam Cosmy's in the concussion protocol. Um, and that's their best healthy offensive lineman right now for for the Commanders. Like you have backup
56:06if you have a backup guard um against these two a they're these are alien defensive tackles. Like you can put both
56:13these guys in the top five at their position right now. Um that makes me nervous with a backup quarterback.
56:18>> Yeah. I mean the Commanders are projected for 16 and a half. That's a full point less more than a full point
56:23less than the Dolphins. More than a full point less than the Titans. and then two points fewer than the Case Kingdom led
56:30Chicago Bears.
56:31>> Yeah, >> that's the status we're at here with all these Washington commanders.
56:35>> The goal is to not play a commander this week across all European leagues. That's the goal. [gasps] >> Okay, next up is Jordan Addison at the
56:44Tampa Buccaneers. Uh his season has not begun. Will it now with Kyler Murray?
56:49>> You know, it's the same it's a miniature version of the Jameson Williams conversation. It's, you know, bad bad and there he finishes a wide receiver 10
56:55and in the week. Um, I think it's a lot more likely in a game like this because the Buccaneers are a pass funnel and
57:01Kyler Murray is healthy. Uh, this isn't going to be in rainy conditions to to my knowledge as well. So, like of all like
57:07the factors that would be playing into like is this increasing Addison's odds of a a big post move touchdown like I
57:12would say the answer to that is yes.
57:14Especially with like Jacob Parish who's probably going to be seeing Jordan Addison. He's been on the injury report.
57:18Um, so, you know, pure dart throws, but I think among dart throws, like they're projected for 22 points, and if they
57:24don't have running backs uh available in this game, we'll learn about Aaron Jones. Like, I think he's a total totally fine dart throw.
57:30>> Okay. I should have asked you, should Stefon Diggs be like the first Dtier name here?
57:35>> Uh, no. Let's keep let's keep him there.
57:38I think he's gonna he's still gonna catch like four or five passes.
57:41>> And Addison, >> let's go Addison in here as well. I mean, we're talking about Vle Mitchell.
57:46like these aren't a bunch of studs in C tier yet.
57:48>> Well, what about Dantavian Wixs who sits here as your wide receiver 37 at the Chicago Bears?
57:56>> I mean, such a healthy start to his season. Some consistency there.
57:59>> I understand that he lost snaps last week to Darius Cooper, but I wouldn't be surprised if that kind of flips to Mai
58:05Lemon this week from what I've been told.
58:08>> Okay, interesting. Yeah, I just think that he's going to be like a double move guy on the perimeter. Um the volume is
58:13not going to be there uh consistently, but he's gonna have the downfield looks and it's like boom bust, you know, wide
58:19receiver four type of player. Matchup is really good, especially if Tyreek Stevenson I mean whether Tyreek Stevenson plays or doesn't play, I don't
58:24really care at all. Uh this is a great individual matchup for him. It's just how many downfield shots is he going to
58:30get? Is that two or is that five? And this might be closer to two, but still he's a good dart throw.
58:36>> Okay, Trey Tucker, we'll start him in the D tier. Uh >> how dare you? Well, week one they didn't throw down the field at all. So, he was
58:45like wide receiver 73. Then week two they did throw down the field and he was the one to do it. Um, however, that was
58:52also with no Brock Powers out there. Not saying that Brock Bowers is going to get, you know, 40 plus yard targets on
58:56the field, but their passing game might change a little bit, but the comparison that >> I can't even remember who made it. Uh
59:04Joel Joel Rashid Shahed >> uh and the New Orleans Saints attached to Clint Kubak makes a lot of sense here for
59:10>> Trey talk.
59:12>> Yeah, this is going to be a game where they might have to actually drop back more. I mean, they're they're two and0
59:17and now they're expected to lose this game. And I think without question, Trey Tucker is their best wide receiver. He's not going to get the manufactured stuff
59:25and I think that's like the Rashid Shahid comparison is a good one, but I would not be surprised if he finishes
59:30like a top 40 wide receiver um across the year. Um, it's going to be like like all the last couple guys that we talked
59:36about. I'm overriding it. He he is a Ctier player to me. Like what is it truly what is the difference?
59:40>> Even against Brandon Sy's defense that is built to stop downfield passing >> that like I totally hear you on that.
59:47Um, I just think that he's like definitely operating as our top wide receiver right now. Um, and I think he's like
59:53>> I think he's kind of good.
59:55>> Okay, Malik Washington then. I mean, there is no way you're going to tell me to put Malik Washington in the C tier
60:01here. Uh he did have a highly productive week. Caleb Douglas is out. Chris Bell will be the starter opposite Malik Washington. But again, this is the team
60:10projected for the second fewest points against Steve Spagnolo.
60:14>> You know, this is the PPR scam of the week. You know, they're expected to lose by 10 points. He doesn't come off the
60:18field much. You're dealing with injuries to Caleb Douglas. I am really excited to see what Chris Bell can do in a
60:24full-time role, but this is against uh Steve Spaggnel. Just the reality is three two weeks he's a wide receiver 32 in usage and half PPR. He's a wide
60:32receiver 28 in targets per game and there was probably going to be more targets available in this one. So, you know, PPR scam of the week.
60:38>> I already threw up Cardinal Tate and then Xavier Worthy against that Dolphins defense. By the way, Worthy has an AOT
60:46of seven right now and 39% of his targets have been at the line of scrimmage.
60:50>> Yeah.
60:51>> Uh and then Romeo Dobs as wide receiver 42. Anything you want to say about any of those three names? Uh Carninal Tate
60:56individually, you know, Paul Sadibbo is on injured reserve. Um and I have not been impressed with the Giants corners.
61:03Um so I think this is like his best opportunity for >> he should have had a touchdown last week.
61:07>> Yeah, it just, you know, State of the Union with Cam Wards like still very up and down. Xavier Worthy, he's getting
61:14all of like the bubble screens. Um is he doing anything with them? Absolutely not. He's also getting some downfield and intermediate targets. Is he doing
61:19anything with those? He's absolutely not. But he's getting the looks that you want in an offense that's projected for a ton of points. Like I'm not impressed
61:27with Xavier Worthy at all. He could just kind of like float to like a top 40 wide receiver this year without even having
61:33to do too much on an individual basis, you know?
61:37Um, okay. Names we have not even brought up. Chris Godwin and maybe even more importantly QJ, Terry McLaren, Roma
61:47Dunce, Luther Burton, Marvin Harrison Jr. All of these guys are outside of your top 42 wide receivers. A number of them were drafted highly. In the case of
61:56Odun and Burton, it's just that they're facing an outside wide receivers against a Vic Fangio defense with their third string quarterback. Is it really that
62:04simple? It >> it is. I mean, you know, they're not even full-time players and you got Quinon Mitchell and Cooper Deene with
62:10Case Keenum. Um, like, you know, that it's it's too much for me personally.
62:15>> Yeah. and Terry, it's the outside corners and downfield stuff attached to Marcus Mariota against the Seattle Seahawks defense.
62:23>> Yep.
62:24>> And then with Marv, um I got suckered in. I clicked on the Steve Smith video uh talking about Marvin Harrison Jr.
62:32>> He says that Marvin Harrison Jr. does does not have an effort problem. And I would disagree going back and watching
62:40Marvin Harrison Jr. there was a lot of effort stuff that was not there in terms of the blocking and obviously when you
62:47run for love of the game routes like 50 plus percent of the time. Um you know you know you're not going to get the
62:53football but at the same time I don't think he is the term earning targets by doing some of the other stuff not up to
63:00100% caliber either. So, this is a big week for him. Either he has and he has seen the noise, I am sure. And so, is he
63:08going to be locked in immediately or is it just going to be much of the same?
63:11>> Yeah. Not going to comment on the other podcast. Uh will comment on Marvin Harrison stuff. I agree with you. I
63:16think that the, you know, there's an a little effort problem. He's not going to get any manufacturer touches. Marvin Harrison is good enough to dunk on a
63:22couple guys throughout the year. He is a fluid enough receiver on a couple inb breaking routes that he could have some
63:28success. It'll be very hard to figure out when those are going to come. Uh, and you know, I just don't think he's
63:34gonna be a priority in the offense at all. Like the coach said that >> this actually really could be a Jeremiah
63:40Love type game for a running game for the Cardinals against that um 49ers defensive line that that we talked about. Um,
63:48>> and yeah, I mean, Marv was just so much more fluid at Ohio State and then even his rookie year. But Hayden, that rookie
63:53year, we watched the tape that first week and then hopped on sats versus film and said he was slow.
63:59>> That was an oldtimer. That was everyone was like, "What? That's an exaggeration." And then look what's happened since.
64:05>> That might be one of my favorite episodes ever because I You and I both watched it and I was like, "What am I
64:11watching?" And then I was so glad that you were like, "What am I watching?"
64:14Like, cuz I thought I was losing my mind.
64:17>> And he's gotten slower since then.
64:19>> Why is he putting on more weight? Go the other direction. [laughter] >> He's gotten slower since then. All right, that's going to do it. 42 names
64:28plus for all of you out there. Uh I'll be back Sunday morning with Justin Boon for Fantasy Football Live and then right
64:35after that on the same video with Hayden for about an hour and a half answering your start sick questions and we'll be
64:41back Sunday night with the game byame recap show with me, Hayden, and Ray Garvin. So appreciate you all watching and supporting us and uh enjoy week
64:51three. Good luck and we'll talk to you guys soon. See you.
