A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury32:20

AJ Brown missed week eight with a knee issue that has dragged him down for multiple years. Bam Knight expects this knee issue to linger for the rest of the season, creating ongoing injury risk for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Adonai Mitchell

NegativeUsage7:47

Posted 9 targets, 7 receptions, 142 yards, and a TD in week 8, but is difficult to rely on due to volume constraints; at 25.7% targets per route on the season (15th among NFL receivers) in a crowded Jets offense. With Garrett Wilson commanding the primary volume (6-12 targets per game), the Jets running 32 passing attempts with five different pass catchers (20 fewer dropbacks than league average), Mitchell can hit on hero shots downfield but lacks consistent volume. Is a downfield specialist excelling at deep routes and post patterns where Gino Smith throws well, but the offense is projected for only 23 points many weeks and Mitchell can score zero or two points any given week due to limited volume. Projects as wide receiver 96 in fantasy value. Against favorable matchups (Buffalo, Arizona, Miami), he's a flex fill-in option, though Bam Knight prefers Antonio Williams over Mitchell because Williams runs most routes and is second pass catcher on a much more condensed and straightforward Commanders passing game versus Jets' complexity.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveValue26:24

Rostered in just 26% of Yahoo Leagues despite leading team in routes in first full game without Terry McLaurin; posted 7 targets, 5 receptions, 54 yards; currently at 35% of snaps with slot-heavy usage; Bam Knight still bullish and believes best football ahead for Williams despite Stefon Diggs expected to lead team in receiving; top waiver wire pickup recommendation.

Insight page

Bam Knight

NegativeInjury0:00

Suffered ankle injury in week 8; one of the two most explosive backs in the Arizona Cardinals offense alongside Tyler Algier, but injury status now clouds his availability and role going forward.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeValue16:16

Brian Thomas Jr. is rostered in just 43% of leagues and had 1 catch and 1 TD in week 9 but is a trade candidate. Bam Knight is not super interested in picking him up in most leagues because mid-season receiver trades historically don't work for fantasy rest-of-season value. If traded in week 9, it will likely take 2–3 weeks before confidently starting him. Landing spot dependent—would be more interesting if traded to a contender like Kansas City Chiefs, but still a wait-and-see situation.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveSleeper13:17

Caleb Douglas is a rookie rostered in just 28% of Yahoo Leagues recommended as a bench stash for consistent breakout potential down the season. He led the team in routes with 6 targets and is an explosive player generating monster weeks on limited volume (two catches for 30–50 yard touchdowns). He's the preferred hold over Malik Washington for those seeking a consistent, predictable option rather than a weekly flex fill-in, given the volatility of this offensive tier where only one of three pass catchers produces each week. Benefits from easier Dolphins matchups coming up.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeInjury24:09

Currently dealing with hamstring and thigh injuries; Bam Knight expresses caution that similar-looking injuries have later proven more serious; injury status warrants monitoring for practice participation and game availability, as it directly impacts Kalin Black's handcuff value.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveBreakout20:35

Cyrus Allen is trending up with route percentage and drop-back rate now at 50% this past week; he has cleared Andrew Armstrong and Jaylen Royals to become the Chiefs' wide receiver three in terms of routes. Bam Knight sees playoff upside in Allen's trajectory, noting that Kansas City has historically underutilized rookies early (Rasheed Rice, Tyreek Hill, Xavier Worthy) but then ramped them up late in the season. Allen is positioned as a man-coverage beater the Chiefs will need down the stretch, and his involvement has grown exponentially since the team's bye week in week five.

Insight page

Demario Douglas

PositiveRole32:32

DeVario Douglas leads the Eagles in targets and touchdowns when AJ Brown and Stefon Diggs are off the field. He has the best production on deep plays and scramble drills where Jalen Hurts scrambles, while also running shorter routes for PPR points. Douglas ranks among the Eagles receivers in route share alongside Kyle Williams and Eftton Chisum, but leads in targets and touchdowns.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

PositiveRole34:48

Dylan Samson has real standalone value in the receiving game with consistent weekly work of four to five to six catches; however, his rushing floor and ceiling are limited because Quinchan Judkins is expected to get the goal-line touchdowns.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveUsage8:00

Garrett Wilson is the primary receiver in the Jets offense and will command the volume, receiving 6–12 targets per game. This dominance limits the upside of other pass catchers in an offense with only 32 passing attempts and five different pass catchers competing for targets. Wilson is the only reliable fantasy asset in this pass-catching group.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury0:38

Suffered another ankle injury in week 8; part of injury-plagued Cardinals offense that has also lost Kendrick Bourne and Jaylen Brooks, further limiting backfield depth and opening opportunity for Tyler Algier.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeRole9:36

Trade speculation is trending likely within 13 days based on sideline dynamics at end of Colts game; a potential trade would significantly reduce his workload and fantasy value.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeProjection33:28

Keenan Allen was WR26 in Week 8 with seven catches for 67 yards despite 10 targets, making him a PPR scoring anomaly; however, he averages 12 points per game outside of Minnesota and ranks 18th among receivers in targets per game since Week 3, suggesting he's a solid fill-in against the Cowboys despite the Colts' poor offense.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeRole25:50

Fully healthy; received 22 carries vs Ematt Johnson's 1 carry this week; Seahawks offense remains focused on Walker as primary back, limiting Johnson's standalone value despite Johnson's strong receiving performance.

Insight page

Kyle Williams

NegativeRole32:32

Kyle Williams ranks among Eagles receivers in route share, within three routes of DeVario Douglas and Eftton Chisum, but Douglas leads in targets and touchdowns.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveValue13:17

Malik Washington ranked WR29+ in half-PPR in week 9, scoring a touchdown on 6 targets while leading the team in routes. He's recommended as a flex fill-in option for the week despite volatility in an offensive tier where only one of three pass catchers (Washington, Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell) produces each week. His performance was touchdown-dependent but he led the team in routes alongside Caleb Douglas.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveValue12:42

Malik Willis is a waiver wire add for QB streaming with a favorable upcoming schedule. He's been QB14, QB13, QB14, and QB4 when not facing the Chiefs, Vikings, and 49ers defenses. Bam Knight is actively adding Willis in leagues with space or bye-week/injury fill-in needs because his next four matchups (Lions, Colts, Bills, Jets) are all favorable, positioning him as a league-winner candidate for the fantasy playoffs. Recommended as a really nice pickup for managers needing fill-in coverage for Caleb Williams, Drake May, or Jordan Love.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveValue0:38

Bam Knight rates Mike Washington Jr. as the top waiver wire running back priority if Tyler Algier is unavailable. Received 25 carries in week 8 under new Raiders coach Clint Kubak (matching Ashton Genty's career high for carries in a single game); only 27% rostered in Yahoo leagues. Has been a better runner than Genty this season and offers explosive carry potential. Week 8 performance shows improved offensive line efficiency metrics: success rate jumped from 44.4% (weeks 1-7) to 48.5% (week 8); EPA per play improved from -0.207 to +0.092; conversion percentage rose from 24% to 24.2%. Outside the 10-yard line, Washington Jr. averaged 4.35 yards per carry on 17 carries for 74 yards in week 8. In a split backfield, he's not expected to get 25 touches weekly and lacks receiving volume (Genty is more explosive as a pass catcher), but the efficiency outside goal line is solid and he carries Jaylen Warren-like upside if Genty gets injured. Ranked #1 waiver wire pickup despite being 41st out of 42 running backs in points per touch this season; getting lots of touches which is the key metric for waiver wire value.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeUsage7:47

Competing pass catcher in the Jets' crowded offense with highly unpredictable weekly usage. Was the primary beneficiary last week alongside Garrett Wilson in two-receiver sets (3 pass plays each), but went over 100 yards over the last two weeks. However, this week received zero targets despite running routes; the football's direction is unpredictable given the crowded receiver room. The Jets' heavy use of three-receiver sets and only 32 passing attempts with five different pass catchers limits his floor. Has more manufactured touch upside than Adonai Mitchell but faces the same volume constraint and can hit on downfield shots but lacks the volume to be reliable.

Insight page

Ryan Flournoy

PositiveValue14:04

Ryan Flournoy is on a heater and a hot waiver wire candidate ranked WR24, WR17, WR22, and WR19 over the past four games, consistently scoring 8–10 points. He has upside if George Pickens or CD Lamb miss time and would be a top-24 ranked WR on a weekly basis if something happened to one of the Cowboys' top two receivers. Bam Knight ranks him high on his top five pickups this week as a sensible waiver pickup with immense upside potential.

Insight page

Seth McGowan

PositiveRole22:08

If Jonathan Taylor is traded, Seth McGowan would likely inherit approximately 60% of the Colts backfield workload; Bam Knight expresses confidence in this projection because Giddens has not been involved in the offense and McGowan was pulled alongside JT, with Giddens only receiving the final 14 snaps.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper22:25

Seth McGawan is positioned to inherit significant workload if Jonathan Taylor is traded before the deadline (13 days remaining). Bam Knight expresses confidence that McGawan would secure approximately 60% of the workload post-trade, noting that Anthony Giddens has not been involved in the Colts offense and McGawan was pulled alongside Taylor in recent games. The sideline handshake between McGawan and Taylor at the end of the Colts game fuels speculation about Taylor's imminent departure. McGawan has the best chance of becoming the Colts' starter for the rest of the season or at some point this season, with projections for 12–14 touches in the near future; Bam Knight ranked him #3 waiver pickup.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeUsage26:24

Stefon Diggs is expected to lead the Commanders in receiving for the rest of the season despite playing only around 65% of snaps, providing context for secondary receiver opportunities on the team.

0:00It's a big week on the waiverwire as we approach week nine. And as always, this week's game plan is brought to you by
0:05Farmers Insurance. Joel, it's only fitting here in the 2026 season that the two most explosive backs in the Arizona Cardinals are Bam Knight and Tyler
0:14Algier, not the number three overall pick, and Jeremiah Love. What we got from Tyler Algier is the running back one overall scoreboard. I mean, 11
0:21carries for 147 yards, one touchdown, five receptions for another 44 yards, and a touchdown. I was stunned, Joel, that he's already rostered in 52% of
0:31Yahoo leagues. We had a discussion off camera about this, but I need to include him here on this list because I know
0:36he's available in some of my leagues.
0:38>> Yeah. Yeah. If he's available, go pick him up. And especially with Bam Knight getting banged up, too. Like another ankle injury for Jeremiah Love. A
0:46quarterback change maybe spark something. I don't think it gets much worse. And everyone on this team, it's not even running backs. We had Kendrick
0:55Bourne go down. Jaylen Brooks was already hurt and yeah, Jeremiah Love and Ban Knight both. So like everybody in this Cardinals offense is going down to
1:02injury >> 100%. And look, Tyler Algier has not been utilized as the lead back until this game. And a lot of injuries had to
1:11happen in order for him to be the lead back, but Joel, he performed at a high level. And we're at this point, you
1:18know, it sims back from the Ali Gordon PTSD that we've had, right? No matter what, if there's going to be a guy that
1:25potentially touched the football 15 to 18 times in any given week, he should be number one on this list. And Tyler Alger
1:30is no different. I do want to have some positives and some negatives, right?
1:35Positive, he had explosive gains of 52 and 63 yards. Negative, I highly doubt that happens again. positive. He has Helto Froh Holt, his center, running out
1:45and clearing out Caleb DS and other linebackers and safeties uh in the lane and is one of the best moving blockers
1:52in the NFL. Negative for Tyler Algerier.
1:55He faces the Seattle Seahawks, Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs over the next three games. So Joel, this might be like the
2:00peak performance, but obviously it would be. It's the running back one overall, but even if he settles in as, I don't
2:05know, the running back 21 or 22 in any of these performances, he has to be the number one at this. Yeah, I would agree.
2:11Even with that schedule, the Cowboys give us a lot of hope on a lot of different players. So, that is definitely like a worry there, too. Is
2:19just like, are we going to be saying this about Colts players? Like, how far is it going to go? But, at the same
2:24time, like this Cardinals team puts up points in unusual ways just like they did last year. like even though they're not one of the best offenses, they still
2:33find weeks where they're putting up a lot of fantasy points just because it's a good fantasy offense, a lot of it in
2:38the second half, and he's part of that passing game. Okay, let's talk about Mike Washington Jr. next. Roster just 27% of Yahoo Leagues out there. There's
2:47a four-game losing streak. Clint Kubak switch it up. He gave Mike Washington 25 carries and that now matches Ashen Genty with one career game with that many
2:56carries in the league. So Joel, this move out of nowhere apparently in week eight is going to frustrate many fantasy players out there, but for me, I'm
3:05actually not too surprised. Where you at with this? It's a weird one because I think a lot of people were worried
3:11something like this would happen and it was like slowly like we'd see games where Jensen would be less involved, but there's like a little bit of his routes
3:19leaving or his carries and then this was just a complete 180. I thought it was like potentially gonna get to a split
3:26down the line, but not 25 to2 for Genty and Washington. And it's a bummer because Washington's not going to get any of the passing work. So, it's not
3:36like he's getting even as good as volume as Genty was getting these first eight weeks. So, it just makes it more muddy
3:44in an already muddy offense. So, there's lots to talk about for sure.
3:48>> Yeah. Two weeks ago, Jonathan Bilma was in the broadcast booth. I think they were facing the Rams and suggested that
3:53the future of the Raiders backfield would be Mike Washington Jr. as the early down ball carrier, Ashton Genty in passing downs and Joel, we know Click
4:02Kubak doesn't say a lot, but I do wonder if in one of the production meetings if he maybe mentioned the possibility of
4:07that because it only took two weeks and here we are with this exactly. We were dealing with some small samples here,
4:13but I I did go through not just a yards per carry and raw stats thing here comparing Mike Washington Jr's leadback
4:18and Ashen Genty, but if you look at some three underlying metrics here, success rate, weeks one through seven, the Raiders were at 44.4% 4% week 8 that was
4:2848.5%. EPA per play it jumped up for negative.207 up to.092 and then conversion percentage weeks 1
4:37through 7.4% in week eight 24.2%.
4:43I mean Joe I think overall and look I'm a Mike Washington Jr. guy. He's been a better runner than Ashen Genty has this
4:50season. And if I'm trying to put myself in the shoes of Clint Kubak, one, you're on a losing streak, so why keep doing
4:56the same thing over and over and over again? But more importantly, when he's looking at his team, he says, "Okay, our
5:01offensive line is what it is. At least Mike Washington Jr. gives us the chance for explosive carries." Like, we're just our success rate, our average yards per
5:13carry is is not going to be great. But Ashen Genty has not given them explosive gains in the ground game. And at the
5:18very least, Mike Washington Jr. opens up that possibility.
5:22>> You wonder how much this is with like the injury to a Genty and I've seen people talk about like oh well there
5:28wasn't anything better this game with Washington like he still averaged like three yards per carry. Most of that was just because they still couldn't get it
5:36into the goal line. When you were outside of the goal line he was averaging like four and a half yards per
5:40carry. So actually not bad. He has had six goal line attempts which is awesome for fantasy. Zero touchdowns. kind of the same fate as Jenty that we have seen
5:49week after week after week. So that is the tough part is like ah he really needs those touchdowns at the goal line
5:55because he's not getting receiving but from an NFL perspective like is running the ball better and showed that last week. Yeah, you mentioned it that
6:02outside of the Jets 10 yard line Mike Jr. had 17 carries for 74 yards. That's 4.35 yards per carry. So again, this is one
6:12of those situations that's a split backfield. I don't expect Mike Washington Jr. to get 25 touches per week. And as you outline, this is a
6:19total tell. Like he's just a I wouldn't say it's zero in the receiving game, but his pass protection isn't nearly as good
6:25as Aston Genty. And actually, Genty has been incredibly explosive as a pass catcher this season. So, it's it's very obvious what the split is here. But if
6:34Tyler Algier is not available in your leagues, Joel, Mike Washington Jr. to me should be number one far and away. We'll
6:41talk about our top three and five rankings as we go along here. But uh maybe this changes again like think Kubak seems to be someone that wants to
6:49try new things every single week. I will add it has been reported that he stood on the table pound the table for Mike
6:55Washington Jr. and then the previous regime i.e. still the general manager John Spyac was the one that drafted Ashen Genty. So he might even have more
7:04allegiance to someone that he believes fits his running scheme better in Michael Washington Jr. versus Ashen Genty. I think he's a top guy. I think
7:11he also kind of comes with the positive of the Jaylen Warren where if that second guy that gets a lot of work has
7:18an injury, well then you're getting basically everything. The efficiency is scary, far from perfect, but it's a waiverwire running back that's getting
7:2725 carries. So that's kind of the end of the conversation.
7:29>> Unfortunately, he kind of has the same situation as Tyler Algier here. Like he's about to face the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Denver
7:36Broncos. Um, but look, this this is exciting for me. Just someone that really liked uh Washington as as a prospect. And we'll see how this one
7:44unfolds. Let's talk Adnai Mitchell.
7:47Something that we did after and even ahead of week one. Joel, we got nine targets, seven receptions, 142 yards, and a touchdown. This coincides with our
7:56conversation about Omar Cooper Jr. over the last two weeks. So, take this wherever you want to with Adai Mitchell.
8:02He is at 25.7% targets per route on the season which is 15th among all receivers in the NFL in the saddest part Josh highest on the
8:14team over Garrett Wilson obviously over Cooper Jr. even though he's still up there but like the main takeaway is it's going to be tough to find one of these
8:25guys in this week like Garrett Wilson's going to get the volume. Adini Mitchell and Omar Cooper can hit without a ton of
8:33volume, which is kind of like the nice part because of Mitchell on like those hero shots downfield that we saw in this
8:38one where we had both the volume but then also those combined and Omar Cooper with his yards to catching downfield shots. Another positive here though is
8:47when we're looking at how they were used, they did run a ton of three receiver sets when they're passing the ball. So that's at least a positive. the
8:54two receiver sets that we've talked about the last couple weeks with C Cooper completely split. They only had six pass plays, three each, and then
9:01they just had a ton of three receiver sets. There's just too many mouths to feed. That's the point here, right? It's
9:06too many mouths to feed in an offense that has 32 passing attempts with five different pass catchers. You know, we're talking like 20 fewer drop backs than
9:15what the Saints have or many other teams that hit 54, 55 on a weekly basis. So, someone's going to be left out or
9:22multiple people are going to be left out if Garrett Wilson is getting anywhere from six to eight to 12 targets per
9:27game. I think Joel, they're to the point where they can carry just one other person to the table and no one else.
9:34Like last week it was Omar Cooper Jr.
9:36and I'll add Mason Taylor on top of that too. But that means Adnai Mitchell is like wide receiver 96. Kenan Sadi
9:42doesn't get a target who also featured you know earlier this season on the waiver wire. And then we haven't even added Bree Hall back to this fold. Yeah.
9:51So, >> while I don't think you can roster both of Anna Mitchell and Omar Cooper Jr. on your fantasy teams, I think it's we're
10:01to the point where one of them is going to have a nice week. I just don't know if we're going to be able to predict
10:06which one is going to be more involved than the other. As you said, this one was all downfield textbook work. He put
10:13on a clinic. It was outbreakers. It was post and I met Mitchell does that at a very high level. He can't do much else
10:20to his game. But uh it's cool that he's very good at this. Gino Smith throws that football to those sections of the
10:28field extremely well. It's just entirely unpredictable on a team that might not, you know, be projected for more than 23 points uh for that many times the rest
10:36of the season.
10:37>> 300 passing yards, two touchdowns, 30 plus point game. And we have like one great guy, one Garrett Wilson. That's like okay for Garrett Wilson being him
10:47and then Omar Cooper gets zero. But the positive that I would want to end with here out of the eight remaining
10:52matchups. It is at least in theory easier to predict when we can play them.
10:59They have four pretty tough matchups.
11:01Kansas City if they're healthy back there in the secondary. Denver, New England, and Minnesota. We're not playing them against Minnesota. But the
11:09other four, Buffalo, amazing matchup.
11:12the Chargers, Miami, and Arizona. And I think in those four, like if you need that flex fill in, that's where I'm like
11:19fine with Mitchell, Cooper, in those four, like Buffalo, Arizona, Miami, I think those are solid spots. Yeah. The only point I'll make though is you have
11:29a realistic chance for Anni Mitchell or Omar Cooper Jr. to give you zero points or two points on any given one of those
11:37weeks. you know, that's just how the cookie is going to crumble in this offense because there's only one football to go around on about 35
11:45dropbacks in a game. Uh, so like Joe, part of me wants to ask you who'd you'd rather have and I mention you were Omar
11:51Cooper rest of season, but there's like no good answer or bad answer to that because it's I think incredibly unpredictable. Again, the only point I
12:00think that is a feather in the cap of Omar Cooper is that he can do more manufactured touch work than Adai
12:06Mitchell. But I would say like an Adai Mitchell touch is more expected fantasy points or target than like one Omar Cooper Jr.
12:15target just because of where they are going down the field.
12:18>> I would agree. Yeah, >> it's weird. like we we do our best in terms of giving you the input of hey
12:27this rookie has a chance because he's done this over the last two weeks. Omar Cooper Jr. went over 100 yards over the
12:33last two weeks. And Joe, I even watched every single one of his routes in this Jets game. He did nothing wrong. The
12:37football just didn't go in his direction because the other guys were getting open too. Uh I know I talked about Malik
12:42Willis last week. If you look at the next few weeks, players like Caleb Williams, Drake May, Jordan Love all have buys coming up. Malik Willis has
12:51been the quarterback 14, 13, 14 and four when not playing the Chiefs, Vikings, and 49ers defenses. So once again, Joel, I just want the people out there to know
13:00that I am adding Malik Willis in leagues where I have space or need a by-week or injury fill in because coming up he
13:06faces the Lions, Colts, Bills, and Jets defenses.
13:09>> Yeah, good schedule coming up. He's been good. 26, 21, and then 16 this week, but Patriots are top five quarterback
13:15defense, so 16 points like isn't horrible.
13:17>> Anything you want to say about his wide receiver? one of them in Malik Washington. Again, this is another team that we talked about. Chris Bell and
13:23Caleb Douglas. This is the issue with I would say offenses in this tier that every third week it's going to be one of
13:31these names that we discuss and not all three. Um, but this was Malik Washington's first week higher than wide receiver 29 and half PPR and part of
13:39that is because he scored a touchdown.
13:41Yeah, it's not like super ideal for either necessarily. If you're looking for like just the got a stash in your bench, hope for a breakout down the
13:48season that's consistent. I'd say Caleb Douglas. If you're looking for like a double flex fill in for the week, that'd be more than Malik Washington. Both had
13:56six targets, both were leading the team in routes. So, they're solid for what they are. Let's talk Ryan Florenoy. He's on a heater. I I mean, this shocked me
14:05when I look back on it. He's been the wide receiver 24, 17, 22, and 19 over the past four games. He's your uh
14:14favorite fantasy football analyst, favorite wide receiver three in the NFL.
14:18There it is. So, talk to the people about Ryan Forno right now.
14:22>> Yeah, I love him. Um I have always seen him as more injured, but he's been a little bit more than that. And then you
14:29also have the advantage of like Pickkins is dealing with a couple injuries. if him or CD miss one game, one half, he
14:36can be usable. And just like in our league for example, Josh, when we have three receivers and a flex, 12 teams, I
14:44needed a receiver this week. I had Malik Neighbors and Nico Collins on buy both of them. I looked at the receivers on
14:49waiverss. Alika Manor was the top option in projected points and I'm like, "Oh my gosh."
14:56>> So I thankfully got Wando Robinson right before that. But like when there's nobody, I think that's a spot where it's
15:02like I'll take the Florenoi eight, nine, ten points that he's had like pretty consistently the past five or so games with still like the advantage of if
15:11something happens, he can be a fantasy wide for three or two. 100%. Look, he's not a flashy rookie out there, but Joel,
15:18think about the two teams that we just discussed and the Jets that I know they scored 33 points in this game, but more
15:25likely they're projected for 23 on a given week. The Miami Dolphins might have a ceiling of 20 21 projected points in any given week. The Cowboys and their
15:34wide receiver three was projected for 31 points in this game. Right? So again, he's not a flashy young guy. He's not a
15:41flashy rookie, but this might be the more sensible pick. Like when we're talking about not the elite wide receivers on the team in CD Lamb and
15:51maybe lesser so George Pickins so far this season, you still have opportunities out there because Florenoi, as you said, is going to line
15:57up in some two wide receiver set stuff.
15:59George Pickins has been banged up entering these games and he's also maybe on thin ice or trending towards the final games here of his Cowboys career
16:08because his contract runs out on the franchise tag. So, Florenoi is Yeah, Florenoi is one of these players I think that has immense upside if something
16:18ever happened to one of the top two wide receivers because I mean Joel, he would be a top 24 ranked wide receiver on a
16:23weekly basis. Is that fair?
16:25>> Close to it. Yeah. With by-weeks, all that sort of thing. It'd be close.
16:29>> Yeah, I think he'll uh maybe shockingly rank high on my top five pickups this week. Okay, let's talk Brian Thomas Jr.
16:36He's rostered in just 43% of leagues out there. Uh, he did have one catch and one touchdown in this game, but Joel, this
16:43one's all about a trade, right? So, I'm not going to ask you to rank the potential landing spots here for Brian
16:49Thomas Jr., but is he worth picking up just because the team that adds him will actually want to utilize him on their
16:54team?
16:55>> Maybe in deeper leagues, I'm not super interested just because a lot of the mid-season receiver trades don't work historically for fantasy, like rest of
17:04season. And then when we're looking at this time of year, we're going into week nine. If Brian Thomas gets traded, like
17:12it's probably going to be a few weeks before you can like confidently put him in your line. Like you're not put him in
17:16right away, like he's barely going to play. Then the week after that, like you're not confident to start him. And then maybe after that week, he has a
17:23good week and three weeks from now we're like confident to put him in. But I still don't like see the likelihood. And
17:29if it works, it's like uh how long are we holding him for for what we're actually going to get?
17:35I totally hear you to play devil's advocate. What happens if he lands on like the Kansas City Chiefs? Does that make you more
17:40>> I guess that's different. [laughter] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
17:44>> Nice landing spot.
17:45>> Yeah. I really think it might be landing spot dependent. But with that said, landing spot dependent. The only teams that would go after him, you would
17:52think, are contenders and that contender needs someone of his skill set. So this is still wait and see. And the Jaguars
17:59are saying that he is not portrayed. But every national insider is saying, "Hey, with 13 days left, just watch out for
18:05that name." Okay. This episode is brought to you by Farmers Insurance.
18:09Questioning your lineup? Sure. Question your insurance? Then check out Farmers.
18:14Farmers coverage on a page breaks things down so you know what you are and aren't covered for insurance that's truly on
18:23your team. Visit farmers.com today. Joe, let's talk about the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver 3. And by that I mean the quietest tight end six season of all
18:30time. That is Masiki. Yes, he is the tight end six and points per game. We talked about this weeks ago, right? And
18:37he's still on an even bigger tear. I understand that Eric all went down, but he's more of a blocking tight end, but
18:43Joel Mosiki just saw the highest snap percentage of his season at 68%. He ran a route on 73% drop backs. Are you
18:50intrigued? I am a little intrigued. He has a touchdown in five straight games, which is insane. like y >> no one else in Cincinnati is doing that
18:59and I don't think that's necessarily gonna continue but the reason that I am a little bit more intrigued now isn't because of that because even the last
19:07two weeks when he has scored a touchdown he wasn't necessarily a good fantasy start because that was his only catch but with Eric all going down and Tanner
19:16Hudson also going down there are slot receivers also down like there's a lot of injuries that you wouldn't necessarily think of because it's not
19:23Higgins and Chase and with how much the Bengals are throwing at the goal line and in the red zone and how much Burrow
19:29loves to have like the little Aaron Rogers Pat Frymouth connections of like we're at the two yard line. Let's have a
19:36little back shoulder fade or like little quick out to Mike Jiki on the goal line.
19:41Those sort of plays become really valuable and like somewhat consistent.
19:45And that's what we've seen the past five weeks is Jiki just kind of has a lot of touchdown upside for how often he's
19:51used. Yeah, I think they lead the NFL in terms of the percent of their touchdowns that are passing versus rushing. And
19:58yeah, I mean, the injuries are just going in his favor. I'm not saying he's a tremendous asset. He's averaging about 9.8 fantasy points per contest. So, keep
20:05that in mind. But Joe B is playing like an MVP right now and arguably has the easiest schedule the rest of the season.
20:12So, I think you can do worse than Mikei out I mean, he he ranks higher than so many tight ends that are rostered in
20:20like 90 plus percent of leagues out there. Don Concaid, for example, TJ Hawinson, all these names. So, again, clear your third eye and look at Mike
20:28Cassiki out there on the way for um one more of the new names for us to talk about this week is Cyrus Allen. Now, he
20:35didn't have a huge week. No one really in in the Chiefs passing game did other than the running back we'll talk about
20:40here in a moment. But we want to look at trends and Cyrus Allen is trending up in terms of his route percentage and drop
20:46back rate up to 50% this past week. He's now cleared Andrew Armstrong, Jaylen Royals. So tiny golf clap for that. He's
20:54now wide receiver three on the team in terms of his routes. Are you interested at all with this ascension for Cyrus in
21:00the deeper leagues? I am because Kansas City, I don't think them like not playing Cyrus Allen is a view of how
21:08they see Allen because they've never really played rookies in the past like this. whether it was Rasheed Rice or Tyreek Hill or even Xavier Worthy who we
21:17don't view very positively. But as a rookie, everybody wanted more Xavier Worthy, more Xavier Worthy and they just didn't get to it until like NFL playoffs
21:26in the very end of like, you know, fantasy playoffs and he was incredible.
21:31And then I feel like that's the posit the window here is if Cyrus Allen is as good as we would hope and they do give
21:39him usage closer to the fantasy playoffs in those deeper leagues, he has the value of just the upside. Yeah. And they've been linked to a whole bunch of
21:47wide receivers and trades. But if they don't make one, again, I can see this Cyrus Allen role continue to grow as we
21:55go along. And let's not forget they had their by-week in week five and he's only, you know, exponentially grown since then in terms of his involvement
22:03in this team. He's their best, I think, man coverage beater right now and they're going to need someone to step up
22:08in those situations. That's all the new names. We have a whole bunch of refreshed opinions on some that we've talked about over the last two or three
22:16shows, Joel. So, let's start with Seth McGawan. I'm sure you saw the handshake he and Jonathan Taylor shared on the sideline at the end of that Colts game.
22:25I mean, at this point, Joel, wouldn't it be shocking if [clears throat] Jonathan Taylor's not traded in the next 13 days?
22:30So, how sure are we that Seth McGawan would inherit, I don't know, a 60% workload when and if Jonathan Taylor gets traded? I think 60% I would be
22:39pretty confident in just because it was another game where like Giddens hasn't really been involved in this offense at all and McGawan got pulled with JT
22:48basically and then at the end of the game like I think Giddens had like the final 14 snaps and it was just like
22:54after those two were already like just on the sidelines. So at this time last week a lot of the sentiment was like oh
23:01a JT trade would be fun probably not likely. Over this last week, it's been kind of the opposite only going up of
23:09this is looking really likely and just the comments like how the team look, everything is trending toward that way.
23:15So, I still think that McGowan is worth an at. Yeah, I mentioned this in the recap show, but I was designated the
23:23Chiefs and Broncos game and it was amazing to me for a minute long Jim Nance and JJ Watt went on and on about
23:29how Shawn Payeyton basically said that if we win this game, we're going to trade for Jonathan Taylor. They're gonna have some competition for that, too. So,
23:35yeah, I'm with you. Seth McGawan, I don't know if he's great, you know, but and I don't know if the Colts are even
23:42going to be decent. I mean, they're not.
23:43They're going to be bad, but still, I I would rank him uh easily the highest in that Colts back there. Let's talk about
23:49Kaylin Black, though. He's coming out of a buy, so he's a forgotten name. Let's remember ahead of the by-week for the
23:5449ers that they were without their all their wide receivers and still had a high team total. And so Joel, from my
24:02seat, when that happens, CMC is going to get major usage and especially as a pass catcher. And so if CMC has a ridiculous
24:09usage rate and especially as a pass catcher, then Kalin Black is going to have an incredible usage rate in comparison to his previous weeks, too.
24:18>> He's been lined up a lot more at receiver, CMC, when some of these guys have been out, and those some of them
24:24should be healthier. Debo hopefully back this week. more of the motivation to pick him up for me right now is just CMC
24:32he's fine with the hamstring issue and you know the thigh all these other like two different injuries that oh he's okay
24:40no need to worry everybody until maybe he misses a practice or sits out a game something like that where so many of
24:48these injuries on the surface seem fine and then later on we find out that they're more serious and this isn't a
24:56McGawan situation where if JT gets traded, it's like, "Oh, you should roster him because he's going to get volume." If Black is the RB1,
25:04then I'm probably going to be ranking him as a fantasy RB1. Like, it's an amazing fantasy player if CMC misses any
25:10time at all. So, I'm picking him up for that. And just the fact that he was on bye last week, he's more more available.
25:16>> Yeah, I I I view him mostly as a running back insurance type that doesn't have really any standalone value unless the
25:23team is projected for 31 points or 30 points. And look, we've had those games with the 49ers, and we'll call those out
25:29ahead of them here on the running back ranking shows. Is that same thing here with Emtt Johnson? Uh, is he the best
25:35running back insurance player in all of fantasy football right now? Or Joel, is there some actual standalone value? And maybe has that changed a little bit in
25:44his favor after the game that he had against the Denver Broncos where he had five catches for 128 yards and a
25:50touchdown? I could see his role in the passing game going up just because he led the team in receiving this week and
25:56was amazing with it. So, as a fantasy handcuff, I do think he is like one of those top guys if we're not talking
26:02about like the injuries in front of him.
26:05Like I would rather have black right now because of the risk of CMC right now where like Walker seems to be fully
26:11healthy. So, the standalone value is still lower. Like Walker had 22 carries and Johnson had one this week. So they're still just going like all
26:20Walker, but if something happens then yeah, he's again like in that category.
26:24>> Despite my best efforts, Joel, Antonio Williams is rostered in just 26% of Yahoo Leagues. He led the team in routes. Again, the first game without
26:32Terry McLaren from start to finish for the rest of the season. Seven targets, five receptions, just 54 yards. Look, the Commanders offense is very hot and
26:41cold, and I still think Stefon Diggs will lead this team in receiving the rest of the way despite playing only around 65% of the snaps. But Joel, if
26:49there's another pass catcher for this group that is struggling at running back that we'll talk about a bit later on.
26:56I'm still playing my flag with Antonio Williams and still think the best football for him this season is ahead of him.
27:02>> I I love Chig and he had some fun plays.
27:05Still not like perfect for fantasy.
27:07Williams would be like the clear number one for me. Led the team in targets and receptions as well. Had a 26% target
27:13share, which is great for some of these games that going to be pass heavy going forward. A lot of his production did
27:20come in the slot, which is interesting because he only played like 35% of his snaps in the slot with Diggs being a big
27:27part of that. So, that's interesting like if he can get that sort of production on the outside, too.
27:32>> Any update that you have on Caleb Douglas? Uh again, we've had some monster weeks from him on just two catches because of the explosive plays.
27:39I've talked about the schedule that Malik Willis has coming up. Again, Caleb Douglas, a rookie on just 28% of Yahoo Leagues. If not, you can say no and
27:47we'll start ranking these guys.
27:48>> Basically the same as we were saying like with Malik Washington. All of it was the same, which is good. Routes,
27:53highest targets, tied for the most. Just a tough matchup.
27:56>> Yeah. Explosive player. So when he hits, you're going to get some, you know, 30, 40, 50 yard touchdowns potentially. Uh,
28:03and again, the easier matchups that is more likely and the Dolphins get some easier matchups coming up. Okay, I'm going to rank my top five, but after you
28:11give us your top three pickups for week eight here, Joel.
28:15>> Gotcha. Top three. Number one would definitely be, >> by the way, we're we're not going to include Tyler Algier here because he is
28:21rostered over 50% of Yahoo Leagues.
28:24>> Yeah. Number one would be Mike Washington still. Where is he 41st out of 42 running backs in points per touch
28:31this season? Maybe. but he's getting lots of those touches and that's what we're here for on the waiver wire. So, Mike Washington would be my number one
28:39ad out of the remaining players. I think my number two would still be Antonio Williams who can be a big part of this
28:47passing attack. Still right now like is a fine star. Like I started in a deeper league this week and has like 11 points.
28:53Like that's fine compared to a lot of the other options. And then my number three would be a mix of these different
29:01insurance running.
29:02>> And I'll say one. [laughter] >> My favorite would be Kaylin Black, but I'm sure that in your leagues, if you
29:11have managers that are watching these videos, it's probably likely that only like one of Black, Johnson, or McGawan, those types are available. So, I would
29:20take one of those. But black would actually be my highest right now with just like the risk of CMC dealing with a
29:27couple of these injuries.
29:29>> Yeah, that that's an interesting view on the Kaylin Black versus Emma Johnson versus Seth McGawan of it all because I
29:34would point to Seth McGawan having the best chance of being the starter for the rest of the season or at some point
29:39being the starter this season because the other guys only get there if a significant injury happens to their running back one on the team. But if
29:46they do, then obviously Kayn Black or Emma Johnson have a much much much higher ceiling than Seth McG.
29:54>> They're all right there. Yeah.
29:55>> Brings to the table. Okay. Uh then I'll do mine. Mike Washington Jr. number one.
30:00As much of an Adnai Mitchell guy as I am, I would just rather bank on Antonio Williams running the most routes and
30:08being the second pass catcher on a much more condensed and straightforward passing game than what the New York Jets bring to the table. So, Antonio Williams
30:17is my number two. I think I'm going to go Seth McGawan number three just because I think we understand where this is
30:26headed, the direction this is going and he could be up there in terms of 12, 13, 14 touches here in the near future.
30:35Joel, just because of what we talked about with the running back insurance types at running back, we rarely get wide receiver insurance. And I think
30:42that Ryan Floreno brings that to the table along with real standalone value.
30:46I'm gonna have Ryan Floreninoi as my fourth pick here. And then number five, it is it's it's a toss up between Kayn
30:56Black and Antonio Williams. Excuse me.
30:58Kaylin Black and Emma Johnson. Fair.
31:01>> Yeah, fair. Love Lenor at four.
31:04>> And again, if you need a fill in for any of your Caleb Williams or Drake May or Jordan Love stuff, I think Malik Willis
31:10is a really, really nice pickup. And if you're interested in more excitement beyond fantasy sports with DraftKings, check out DraftKings Sports. Week nine

32:12quickly hit on here and some news items and some leftovers. Let's put it that way. Um AJ Brown missed week eight. We
32:20know that this knee issue has dragged him down for multiple years. Joe, I have no idea how long this is going to
32:26continue on, but I think it is going to linger for the rest of the season. With that in mind, Romeo Dobs and Matt
32:32Collins are missing right now. So, Deario Douglas, Kyle Williams, Eftton Chisum, they rank in terms of routes.
32:40Kyle Williams, Deario Douglas, Effan Chisum, but they're all within three of each other. Do you have any lean with the Patriots wide receiver room? I would
32:47say Douglas just from what we've seen leads the team in targets like has the touchdowns. When AJ Brown and Stfane Diggs have not been on the field the
32:57last couple of years, May hasn't really had a guy that he's like targeting that we can see like, oh, this is our number
33:04one. When they're off the field, it's kind of just like whoever gets the ball.
33:08And where does run's not much designed to have like a number one receiver, but Douglas has the best production on a lot
33:15of these deep big plays and scramble drills where May scramble so much still.
33:20Y, it really benefits him and gets those big plays while having a little bit of like the shorter routes to give you a
33:26couple PPR points.
33:28>> Keenan Allen might be the only only Indianapolis Colt left other than Tyler Warren who got 10 targets and 19 yards
33:35about to be the PPR scam of a lifetime.
33:37Uh, wide receiver 26 week for Keen Allen. Seven catches for 67 yards.
33:42Again, the Colts, it might be ugly, but they have to throw it to someone. So, is this a true, hey, I can bank on maybe
33:49seven and a half points per week and not watch that game in my fancy lineup?
33:53>> He's been way more than seven and a half points a week outside of Minnesota. You, we always Minnesota. Minnesota doesn't
33:59count. They're too good. It's not fair.
34:01Everyone else, he's averaging like 12 points per game. He's 18th among receivers in targets per game since week three. So a couple weeks, what' he say?
34:11>> Is he in your top three list?
34:13>> No. No. But [laughter] I do think that like he's a pretty solid fill in because it's the Cowboys and like Allen just like is Allen not going
34:21to score 10 points this week against the Cowboys? Like I think in PPR leagues like he's got to be projected for way
34:27more than that. So I think he's a pretty solid filling against this team.
34:30>> Uh I'll just quickly mention that Kenny Gainwell had a careerhigh in rushing. uh on the same day that Bucky Irving had a
34:35careerhigh in rushing. So, I wouldn't read too much into that unless, you know, the Buccaneers just abandon the forward pass and run every single week,
34:42which actually might be their best path to victory. Um Dylan Samson, we talked about last week, but he has real standalone value when it comes to the
34:52receiving work. Anywhere from four to five to six catches on a weekly basis.
34:56But again, um just the rushing isn't going to give him a necessarily consistent floor, consistent ceiling because we would expect Quinchan Judkins
35:04to get the uh goal line touchdowns. Um and then I do want to bring up Austin Eckler here, Joel, just before we went
35:10on Jeremy McNichols, it sounds like is had a significant injury. So the backfield with Bill Crosky Merritt still in injured reserve is Rashad White and
35:20Austin Eckler. and Joel, early on in that Sunday night football game, Austin Eckler was playing equal parts, if not a little bit ahead of Rashad White in
35:28certain situations. If it's just one of those two, then yeah, I'm more interested. The three split is tough, but he had a two-point conversion. The
35:35one like big negative would be they don't throw to running backs a lot. So like even yesterday, like he had zero
35:41targets. So that's the tough part is like, oh, that's why we play Austin Eckler is like we're hoping for the receiving game. So we don't usually get
35:48too much of that with Jaden Daniels. I would say that Rashad White is one of the least successful runners in the NFL.
35:55I am not saying that the former podcaster in Austin Eckler is much more successful, but uh I do wonder in some
36:02of these games if he can give them a bit more efficiency than Rashad White does.
36:06Okay, I think we hit it all. Somehow Joel in a quote unquote down waiver week, we still hit about 21 names. So,
36:12uh appreciate you joining me. Appreciate everyone out there for watching and subscribing. And be sure to tune in to Stats vs. Film tomorrow on Tuesday.
