0:00Just in time for your week 2 matchup.
0:02These are your wide receiver rankings and tiers. Yes, we're going to tear out I think 44 names here today. Uh Hayden,
0:08if you do want to dive into, you know, the spreadsheets, the stats, all that type of stuff, the trends, uh the wide
0:14receiver numbers from week one through the next 17 weeks are the least sticky.
0:19So, we're going to speak with confidence here, but maybe we shouldn't.
0:22>> Well, I think that we can read into some things. One, we have like all the offseason data that we can still be
0:27applying here. Certainly, we also have like usage, not just like what they actually produced. And you and I went back and watched all these guys and you
0:33can kind of have a feel for the exact role in the offense. And was that what we were expecting? Was it something a
0:39little bit different? Because I don't think that uh players are going to really change like the types of routes they run all that much. It's just like
0:45were they targeted on them? Were they actually efficient on them? And we know that we can smooth a bunch of this stuff
0:49out. So like I'm not panicking that there's not a bunch of, you know, uh truth in the week one numbers. I got a
0:54process here. And with the play callers coming in, are there getting inside outside usage? Is there motion? Is there play action? All that type of stuff. All
1:01right. By the way, we already have a running back rankings version for week two. So, go and check that out after
1:06this one if you're new around here. Uh we're going to talk through like Nico Collins and Z Flowers real quick. Um we
1:12are expecting both of those players to be out. Zay obviously had a hamstring issue from uh the week one performance uh during the second quarter. Still
1:20bald. Uh and then Nico Collins uh what something in practice this week and we're expecting both those players to be out.
1:26>> Yeah, I'm expecting both them out. Turns out the fast guys hurt their hamstrings more often. It happens.
1:31>> Yeah, that sucks. All right, Pukuna is your wide receiver one overall. This is against the New York Giants. The Giants
1:37allowed 43 yards per possession defensively in week one, which is 30th in the league. However, as we talked about them grinding it out offensively
1:45only limited the Cowboys to two offensive drives in the second half. So, the Rams need to be better on defense and then they need to have more
1:54opportunities uh and score touchdowns in the second half as well.
1:58>> I just feel like this game is going to be a lot more normal. The first of all, it's in the United States of America.
2:02That's probably going to help out the Rams here. It's not a divisional opponent like it was the last time around. It's not the same coaching tree
2:09either. And then I still just don't think the uh starting corners for the Giants are very good. They were doing like real tryyouts for snaps in in
2:17training camp at at the quarterback position. did a great matchup for Puka Nakua. He also did something in week one that was not the case uh in 2025. He was
2:25playing like the one wide receiver set snaps at the goal line. That was Devonte Adams role out there. He was he was
2:30heavily involved down there. Got us uh a little quick uh first read target at the goal line as well. So if we're going to
2:36get more touchdowns from Pukanua this year like he's going to be the wide receiver one overall.
2:39>> Yeah, I had those notes for Dvonte. I just say them now though that Devonte only ran one route in the red zone and
2:44played only one of six snaps inside the 10 yard line. and Puka played 100% of those. So maybe we've seen a massive
2:50flip in the most important area of the field when it comes to wide receivers.
2:54>> Justin Jefferson is your wide receiver too once we eliminate, you know, all the names from Thursday Night Football. Uh JJ Jeff at the Chicago Bears. Hayden, I
3:04think he's wide receiver four in consensus. So we're starting early here with a little bit different for you than the market.
3:09>> Yeah, I'm just paying attention to what he's done throughout his entire uh career removing the JJ McCarthy games.
3:15There's been 54 games since 2022. He's the wide receiver three on wide receiver seven usage, 95 yards per game, 107 airs
3:21per game. And then just with the Carson Wentz games, there's six of them. He's the wide receiver for averaging the same
3:2795 yards per game. I think that Carson Wentz Kyler Murray will figure that out later. I think for the most part, Carson
3:33Wentz just wants to rip the ball to Justin Jefferson. I liked how uh they used him come a couple underneath routes
3:39on top of the the big explosive down the football field. Uh Bears were a mess in week one. No Kyler Gordon, their slot
3:45corner. No, Kobe Bryant their safety.
3:46They're sidelined. Jaylen Coker finished as the wide receiver one overall. Ted still had a good game as the number two and the Bears were second uh in their
3:55man coverage rate. And if they're just going to leave like Tyreek Stevenson on Justin Jefferson down the field, like it's it's over.
4:02>> Yeah. When Jefferson has played with Carson Wentz the six games that he's been the primary quarterback according to Rich Rebar, five for 75, 10 for 126,
4:107 for 123, 5 for 79, 7 for 74, and 681 and two.
4:16>> Not bad.
4:17>> Pretty good.
4:17>> Not bad. Jackson Smith and Jigba, your wide receiver, three this week at the Arizona Cardinals. Uh, what was notable to me that stood out, all eight of
4:26Jason's receptions in week one came in coverage by someone other than Christian Gonzalez, which is probably a good sign for Brian Flurry as the play caller here
4:35that he can move him around and get him away from the most difficult matchup out there.
4:39>> Yeah, definitely. So, he had that little hitch route against the Blitz and then took it all the way to the house. I am
4:45just always so stunned at how fast he is versus his 40 time. Like, it's just like one of those players where like it's
4:50like so obviously different out there.
4:51this week. Seahawks slight favorites uh 18th highest team total in Arizona. I thought that Arizona defense like did pretty pretty good over like their
5:00communication zone coverage over over the middle. They just don't have a star quarterback one right now. So I think that JSN even with Drew Lockach uh kind
5:07of like how the Carson Wentz Justin Jefferson stuff like Drew Lock wants to give his guys chances as a backup quarterback. I think that JSN will be
5:14all right.
5:14>> Let's talk Jamar Chase still in S tier.
5:17This is at [clears throat] the Houston Texans. a Texans defense that was miserable in week one. They allowed nearly eight yards per play, the most
5:25that they have allowed in a game since week 14 of the 2021 season. Again, that Texans defense last week allowed the
5:33highest explosive pass play rate in the NFL versus that Buffalo Bills defense.
5:37Now, Hayden, they get, you know, Jamar Chase and T. Higgins to face along with the offensive line that allowed the lowest pressure rate to a quarterback in
5:45week one. So, it's in different ways, but do the Bengals have the players to take advantage of the flaws that the
5:53Texans showed in week one or is that just a blur?
5:55>> Yeah. Well, they don't have a Dalton Concade and that's that was like the real issue with the Texans defense uh
6:00last week. Uh I still feel really good about Jamar Chase. Now, I will say like Jamar Chase maybe wasn't fully himself
6:06watching that game back. There's a couple moments where he was a little bit slippery at the top of his route and
6:10then Joe Burrow is like dealing with something. So, we're going to figure out like that type of thing. uh but right
6:16before Sunday morning. This is obviously a terrible matchup. Like the Bengals, their team total is only 22 points here and Derek Stingley and Laceder are
6:23awesome players. It's not even just them. It's it's the entire defense. So, um this is a bad matchup. You can only
6:29move Jamar Chase down so far. And he did face the Texans in week 10 of 2023.
6:35Went five for 124 and a touchdown on six targets. So, that was a long time ago.
6:39Things have changed a little bit there.
6:41Um but, you know, this is Jamar Chase.
6:44>> Yes. and he had a quiet week one last year. Then week two, 14 catches for 165 yards and a score. Let's do it, man. Um,
6:51okay. CD Lamb is your water five. I'm going to keep going in S tier until you tell me not to. This is against the
6:58Washington Commanders. Um, we know that Donte Jones derives from the Brian Flores tree. They blitz a lot. Maybe not to the degree of 98% or whatever that
7:09Brian Flores did in week one, but Hayden, as Reeves noted, CD Lamb has been targeted on 34% of his routes with
7:15a 3.6 yards per route run against the Blitz since the start of last season.
7:21Yeah, really good safety valve for uh Dak Prescott there. And even last week, 27% target share. like they didn't have enough dropbacks and plays like you said
7:30with the Giants burning the clock out, but uh last year he had a 26% target share. Those are that's like a little
7:38bit of a step down from his absolute peak where he's like in the 30 to 32% range. Uh that's because George Pickins
7:43is going to be very involved here. Um still we're talking about like the wide receiver eight on wide receiver six uh
7:48usage from the the year prior. So I think in a normal situation, which I'm expecting this to be a more normal game
7:54here, uh both of these guys can absolutely eat. And I think that Mike Sanders, I think he's struggling at outside corner. Like he was supposed to
8:00be a nickel and he's playing a lot of outside corner here. Uh we'll see. I think he's going to be seeing some CD
8:05Lamb, seeing some George Pickins there.
8:07I don't think the Commanders have like the starting secondary players uh yet. I think they're going to do some funky things, but like one-on-one situations,
8:15I I definitely think Dallas Cowboys.
8:17>> Yeah. And George Piggins is your next wide receiver here as wide receiver 6.
8:21Um yeah, to that point like Trey Amos uh picked up an injury during training camp, has just been out and he probably
8:27would have slided in as our best outside corner and when he's out then Sam was viewed by many as an interior slot
8:34player uh and now being pushed to the outside and yeah, just got routed up by Dante Wix and a bunch of other names
8:41last week too.
8:41>> Yes. Yep. And then last notes on George Pickkins here, 104 airs, 20% target share, 90% route rate. Uh in week one
8:49there was like a a defensive pass interference 41 yards stay on the football field. He still had three uh receptions underneath. So it wasn't like
8:56the craziest box score ever, but like really don't have any problems with George Pickkins here.
9:00>> Okay. Is Chris O also an S tier?
9:03>> Um let's let's move him down one.
9:06There's enough going on here with he has some level of an injury. We'll learn more on Sunday. I'm not sure if you have
9:12any other notes on that, but it's it's also just the matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The Saints are projected for 19 and a half points. He's
9:20been balling with Tyler Shuck. Now there's 10 games in that sample. He's the wide receiver four on wide receiver seven usage. 91 yards, 139 airs, almost
9:2910 targets per game. So like this is an absolute elite elite wide receiver one role without Jordan Tyson. Uh they were
9:35once again first in neutral pace in week one. They did that in 2025. They ran 86 plays. Obviously that helps when you're
9:42in overtime, but like that's the advantage of this offense. The problem is like Nate Wiggins I think is a real real awesome cornerback one and he is so
9:51fast. So I think he can actually like match up pretty well with Chris Olve.
9:54You have the Jesse Mter stuff against Tyler Shuck. You have Kyle Hamilton. So all that type of stuff I think bodess
9:59against Chris Olve here.
10:01>> Yeah. Apparently there's no concern about Chris Olive. Um he just you know is probably being withheld from practice for uh let's say veteran rest type stuff
10:11or even like you know a a slight tweak to it. Um, this is easily easily Tyler Shuck's most difficult opponent that
10:20he's ever faced in terms of a defense.
10:22>> Uh, he did face the Rams in his first start last season. Uh, 15 to 24 for 176 yards and a touchdown. Other than that,
10:30it was Panthers, Falcons, Dolphins, Bucks, Panthers, Jets, Titans, Falcons, and then once again, the Lions in week one.
10:39>> The Baltimore Ravens are on a different level than that.
10:41>> Yeah. So, we call that the Drake May.
10:43>> Yes. We we we'll see how he responds to that. Garrett Wilson also in a tier.
10:48Garrett Wilson has a favorable matchup this week against the Green Bay Packers.
10:54I thought he ran strong routes, strong grabs, was top 10 in terms of team target share, air yards, target rate across the league. And you expect maybe
11:03the Jets to be pushed a little bit more to pass the football in this one.
11:06>> Yep. 30% target share. So, I think like the ancillary pieces getting better around him is going to help the Jets
11:12stay on the football field instead of punts. And I think that's going to be like the perfect sweet spot for Jared
11:16Wilson have maybe his best fantasy season uh of his young career. Uh matchup is awesome. Uh Green Bay's offense, they can't run the ball.
11:24They're going to be passing the ball down the football field. That's just going to speed up the game uh environment in general because I I do
11:30think that the Packers, I have a bunch of Packers in the top 36 right here. Uh they're going to be really explosive.
11:35Um, and I don't think that their defense is very good. Uh, since Micah Parsons went down in week 15, second worst sack
11:42rate. They were six worst in in EPA per drop back over those games. And I think that the the the corners, like the
11:49actual starting corners, like they're kind of rotating those guys out. It's like not they don't have all of that kind of uh flushed out either, plus a
11:56new defensive coordinator. There's going to be some more communication bust here.
11:58So, I think a really great spot for for Gary Wilson. I wouldn't be surprised if I move him up a spot or two by the end
12:03of the week.
12:04>> Okay. When we eliminate the wide receivers from Thursday Night Football, Mike Evans lands as your wide receiver nine on the week. He's wide receiver 12
12:14in consensus rankings doing the exact same thing. They played a long time ago, but one, he was healthy. He played a
12:21good amount. And two, uh I would say Brock Party has never had a wide receiver like this. And we saw once they
12:28got down into like the 15 the 10 yard line that they already have like the goal line fades implemented and one of
12:34those went for a touchdown.
12:35>> Yeah. I mean he just looked like Mike Evans with a couple alterations, some more quick outs which I like. That's
12:41going to provide him with some level of a floor uh here and without Deon scribbling like it's going to be uh
12:47Demarcus Robinson down the field like that's always just a low volume role and then at the goal line if Christian McAffrey is like not even gonna be out
12:53there every single time like they're gonna throw the ball up to Mike Evans plenty. 28 and a half team total for the
12:5849ers here. That's uh second highest.
13:00It's against the Dolphins. The Dolphins have the youngest defense in the NFL.
13:04We're we're going to get to Debo Samuel in a little bit. They're starting a rookie corner. Um he was lit up for 11
13:09targets in the opener. The top corner is Juju Brent who got released by the Colts and has been like just a notoriously
13:17boom bust guy out there. Like this this is an awesome spot for Mike Evans. He's not going to get the 10 targets like
13:23other players around him, but he's probably the most likely to have a second touchdown.
13:27>> Yeah, when the 49ers are projected for like 29 and a half points, you would like to think that they're, you know,
13:32wide receiver one is going to get a touchdown. By the way, there's a wide receiver later on that Hayden has 16
13:39spots above consensus rankings. Um, I guarantee you Hayden has no clue who that is. And if I gave everyone out there 15 chances to guess, you would not
13:49maybe even 50 chances, you would not get it.
13:51>> Try right now in the comments.
13:52>> Yes, I dare you.
13:53>> Stay for that part of the episode because uh I can't wait to get his reaction for that one. And don't go
13:58>> don't go looking right now while we're doing the show. Hey, >> I told >> No, don't do it. Don't do it. Uh okay,
14:04next as the wide receiver 10 here is Malik Neighbors. you know, the stats didn't jump off the page, but when you
14:11factor everything in, especially his true uncertainty on if he was going to play or not, I thought this was a really
14:18positive, really positive outcome for Malik Neighbors that he drew opportunities when he was out there. And if he stays on his feet just a little
14:25bit better after the catch and shows a little less rust this week, then we could have a really nice game from
14:31League Neighbors, albeit against an underperforming Rams secondary that they showed week one. 71% routes uh in his return. Uh 31% target share. Wide
14:41receiver 14 and expected points. He said that he left a couple plays out there. I agreed with that. He's he's not going to
14:46be the same player. If if Malik Neighbors was fully healthy and this injury did not happen, he would easily be like a top four, top five wide
14:54receiver. So, I'm applying some level of a discount on Malik Neighbors. Uh the Rams pass rush is just like not going to
15:00be that potent right now without Miles Garrett. We'll see about Aaron Donald.
15:04Uh, and we're in negative game script for for Malik Neighbors are expected to lose by seven points uh against a Rams
15:10secondary that was just like off like they have too many good players to be have guys that wide open. So, um, we'll
15:19see about that.
15:20>> Jet lag, I guess.
15:22>> Shout out shout out Jetlag the game. If you know, you know. All right, next is Devonte Smith. Still in A tier or we
15:29going to already move down to B tier?
15:31Let's I want a tier. Not because of him, because of the next guy. [laughter] >> Okay. Devonte Smith at the Tennessee
15:39Titans. Jaylen Herz only had nine dropbacks on first down. He completed three of six passes for zero yards. Uh he did have, you know, gains of 64, 43,
15:51and 31 yards in the air. But, you know, as we talked about heading into the season, the Eagles, I think, faced the highest
16:01amount of threeandout rate of any team in the NFL. That wasn't fixed necessarily in week one. You're hoping it gets fixed and that the Titans
16:10defense and the Titans overall are just a nice deodorant here for Shawn Mini.
16:14>> Definitely. So, the Titans defense was really bad in week one. And if you look under the hood on the Dvonte Smith
16:21numbers, they're actually pretty solid.
16:2327% target share, 13.2 average depth of target there. Uh, you know, his completion percentage over expected was negative 12%. Like typically he's like
16:32well above that. So, um, I thought Jaylen Herz was he showed a lot of touch, which he usually does. He was
16:37like willing to throw the ball down the football field. And I think that Dvonte Smith's going to eat against Cordell Flat and Alante Taylor, who's playing on
16:45the outside. Alante Taylor's been an inside corner for like his entire career. Like they're just like, you know, trying trying things right now.
16:52It's not going well.
16:54>> That's one of those moves that, you know, NFL people are probably smarter than me than doing this. But I could
16:59just tell you that that was an incorrect projection. Like he he did that, I think, in 2024 and then was a menace
17:07once again on the inside in the slot in 2025. Yeah.
17:10>> And then I understand you have to pay him a certain amount of money and corners are tough to find, >> but then like you're moving him further
17:15away from the football where he has been >> bad in the past. Just doesn't make any sense to me.
17:19>> Yeah. He's a downhill player, big tackler, like instincts guy. Like you want him swarming. You want him swarming, not in coverage.
17:27>> Okay. Christian Watson, you're actually slightly below consensus rankings on this. How do you feel?
17:34Hayden, for as much as you and I talked about Christian Watson this summer, including like the 14 players I'm betting my fantasy season on, he was the
17:42pick for me in round six. The love he just continued to miss over and over again in drafts.
17:49>> I'm not saying that people have overcorrected, but they have jumped on the bandwagon after one week. He's wide receiver 11 in consensus rankings and
17:57you even have him like wide receiver 14 in consideration with, you know, the other couple players that played here uh on Thursday Night Football.
18:04>> Yeah, I was tracking how much money I spent on each player and Christian Watson was the wide receiver I've spent
18:09the most money on this this off seasonason. Uh 26% of my fantasy dollars go to Christian Watson teams. So, very happy about this. He was excellent. The
18:18just the fact that they played with so much pace. Uh they were second in neutral pace. They were eighth in in uh
18:24neutral pass rate and Christian Watson's going to get all the explosive stuff and then at the goal line they got him on a
18:29manufactured touchdown there which by the way he's like also 6'4 so like you don't think of it as like a red zone
18:33player but like he's going to be out there plenty. Uh we're not going to talk about tight ends. I write uh I have
18:38rankings and I have some notes over on Yahoo about them. Tucker Craft is playing like half the snaps, but he's playing almost all of the pass or all
18:47the run snaps and playing fewer of the passing snaps. They're gonna get Christian Watson on some of those like kind of Tucker Craft like leak routes
18:54and whatnot too. So, it's an awesome spot. The Jets secondary I don't think is very good. AZ Thomas is a upand
19:00cominging player kind of a risk taker.
19:03Uh and then Brandon Stevens been around the block for a while. Uh Mika Fitzpatrick's injured. Joseph Assai's injured. Packers project for 24 points
19:10and they can't run the ball at all. I'm not even sure if they're going to try.
19:12>> I will say if you watch the show, you probably ended up with Christian Watson and or Parker Washington on your teams
19:18this year. Uh there's a couple more names that that might be on that list, but Hayden, like the only push back that
19:22we got from the comments this offseason on our love for CW was that he gets injured, he misses games. Again, I'll
19:29take that upside swing every single time because as you outlined, 83% route rate in week one and as we know in the 13
19:36career games that he had above a 75% route share, he was at like 17 and a half fancy points per contest. We're
19:43already we're already pacing for that.
19:44>> So, let's keep it moving. Mecha Egabuka is up next. Wide receiver 17 consensus rankings, wide receiver 13 here for you.
19:52Should we continue on the A tier?
19:54>> Uh yeah, let's do it. Bucks are projected for 25 points. Uh they have uh Denzel Ward, but the way that they're
20:01using a mecha on tape uh last week makes me very encouraged that he's not going to face that much Denzel Ward
20:07one-on-one. They did all of the Ramscoded wide receiver stuff. Lots of motion at the snap, lots of free releases, uh, switch releases, modern
20:14routes just in general, like working through like the B gap and then leaking out like that type of stuff was on
20:20Acha's tape. I thought he looked really explosive. He was able to also hit the brakes on a stop route as well. So, this
20:27was a I think very encouraging start for Acha Iuka. Uh, in this one, we can't have Baker fumbling the ball that often.
20:33And then on top of that, uh, allowed the third most fantasy points to wide receivers. um Parker Washington who pretty much plays like the exact same
20:40role that Emmechuk is in. Like he was the one that went crazy uh in week one for the Jaguars.
20:45>> All of Emecha Ibuka's targets last week came with pre- snap motion included. I mean that's that's exactly what we want
20:52to see.
20:52>> You know, uh a couple things here. One, Cleveland's defense is slightly different. Obviously, you don't have Miles Garrett, but you're replacing
20:58Jared Verse. It didn't look nearly as good as when Jim Schwarz was coaching the defense versus who's doing it now.
21:04Like even Carson Swinginger who was what rookie defensive rookie of the year last year just his play tailed off significantly and this might be one of
21:12those true situations like kind like the Chargers maybe where there was a defensive coordinator most of the pieces stayed the same and uh you feel the
21:19difference.
21:20>> Yeah, Jim Schwarz was a defensive coordinator for 22 years. So like finding a replacement is difficult to do.
21:26>> Think you know which players are about to have a big Sunday? Put that fancy football knowledge to work. Yes, we have

22:17another name that you guys ended up with a lot. Um, I'm gonna put him in Btier because of the matchup. Fair.
22:24>> Yep. Yep. I like that.
22:26>> This is at the Denver Broncos. He did have a 42% slot rate last week. That number was like 68 to 70% last year.
22:35However, Hayden, I think the amount of 12 personnel that the Jaguars played in week week one is the determining factor between the two. Uh so if they are
22:43forced to throw in other situations when you don't play the Browns, then I think that slot rate will climb even more,
22:48which could happen here against the Broncos. And that means he avoids Patrick Certain.
22:52>> Yeah, I think for the most part he's going to avoid him. There's going to be some snaps where there's there's some
22:56overlap. Jacksonville slight dogs here.
22:58So like I think this team's gonna pass the ball plenty this year. Like I think that's like what they want to do. He
23:04wasn't a full-time participant, but 72% of the drop backs in like this offense is is definitely enough. And he's he's very clearly their top guy like when
23:11he's on the football field. Like there's so many like clear out routes for Brian Thomas and here comes Parker Washington right underneath him. Uh zooming out,
23:18week seven was when he started playing uh like like pretty much in a full-time role for for Jacksonville. Since then, he's the wide receiver 14 on wide
23:25receiver 12 usage. That's a 23% target share on an offense that's always pretty good. So, uh this is definitely a step
23:33down because of the matchup. And then I was looking at it, oh man, like the Denver, they're so good on defense.
23:38Who's the wide receiver who had the best fantasy game against uh Denver last year? Park Washington, >> our guy. Okay. You also ended up
23:46drafting a bunch of Jaylen Waddle, I bet. Here it is. This is against the Jacksonville Jaguars defense. Um, Hayden, my saving grace here, and we're
23:55just into week two, so I'm just trying to, you know, only speak positivity here. He should at least be able to do
24:00to this Jacksonville secondary what Casey Conpion did last week. And if he doesn't hit that number, uh, I'm going to start to get worried.
24:06>> Yeah. Um, and Casey Conpsion, by the way, like should, you posted it like he also should have had like that 50 yard
24:11touchdown or whatever it was. Um, yeah, 13 air yards, like 11% target share for Jaylen Wadd, like just like simply not
24:18good enough. I did think that they were trying to get him the ball early on and Bo Knicks was just like not throwing him
24:23the football. Um, I didn't like that they were doing like some screen stuff to the other players still. I thought that was be a little bit more
24:29consolidated, >> but also the results were so bad that maybe they're like, "Hey, let's make sure Jaylen Wald, the guy we traded a
24:36first round pick plus four, gets more involved here." Uh, he at least was like in the slot uh for 59% of his snaps.
24:43that third and seven slant that he dropped like that was that might have been a touchdown with with his speeds like a very frustrating start here and
24:50at the same time Denver was first in neutral pass rate. There should be like an uptick in routes uh year-over-year.
24:56>> Okay, Tedro McMillan against the Atlanta Falcons continues our beer to you here.
25:01Um he saw about 23% of his snaps in the slot, 11 slot routes overall, but zero catches on two targets from that
25:09alignment. I will say he torched the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta from the slot last season. They got him matched up like against a linebacker for the
25:18game-winning touchdown and all that type of stuff. So yeah, I mean Bryce Young has been unbelievable in Atlanta over the last two years. And I am in on the
25:28belief as we repeated all offseason that Bradzik was brought in to be aggressive, pedal to the floor from the first quarter of the first week rather than
25:36week 10 in terms of throwing down the field. And this is when both of these wide receivers can get out.
25:41>> Yeah, definitely. So, eight for 130 and two touchdowns uh in that game and that was the most fantasy points Atlanta
25:47allowed against a wide receiver all last year. So, I was like in general it's like very promising stuff from Bryce Young in particular and then also like
25:55there was a couple times where T-Mac was looking a step slower too. He's still going to cross guys up. I hope I'm
26:01hoping that the added like muscle makes him a little bit more of a like yak threat. Um, we didn't necessarily see
26:08that like that much in week one, but like that's kind of like the process here. If they're going to move him into
26:11the slot to get him away from AJ Terrell, like this like should be a match up where we kind of see that. So,
26:16obviously the splits, we'll get to Jaylen Coker not too too long from now.
26:19Um, but he was a wide receiver 22 and expected points uh in week one. So, I'm not panicking.
26:23>> Yeah, his one Yak opportunity in week one, he fumbled. Um, he did have a nice yak gain last year against the Falcons
26:30who just a crossing route, outran Jesse Bates and and all that type of stuff.
26:33Um, okay. Roma Dun already on the board as your wide receiver 17 against the Minnesota Vikings. Um after dealing with an injury leading up to, you know, week
26:45one, he was limited to just 58% of dropbacks. I'm assuming you believe that's going to hike up significantly.
26:52>> He's not even on injury report, like not even a full calf. It's just like he's not on the injury report. So, I don't
26:57see why he's not going to be a near full-time player. uh he played 85% of the drop backs uh in last year's playoff
27:04uh loss and that was with DJ Moore out there. Um I think he's gonna be a full-time player and they're projected
27:09for 26 and a half points and the Vikings throw a bunch of funky stuff out there.
27:13I do think that Roman Dunes is like amongst like I think he's in the trust tree uh for a defense like that. I don't
27:19think that the Vikings corners like one-on-one are very good. Like now they're they're hiding them in certain ways. They're blitzing guys. because he
27:25play a lot of zone coverage behind it, too deep out there, and they still have Harrison Smith who's like pretty much
27:29like a a defensive coordinator out there to kind of sort things out. But if he's going to be a full-time player on an
27:35offense that looks this potent, like you guys better like look out because even last year he was a wide receiver 15 in
27:41usage and half PPR points per game, like they did not come up come down with enough passes and zone coverage and he
27:46had some drops and whatnot. If he gets better and he's going to be a full-time player in this offense, like I really do
27:52think he's going to be an awesome pick.
27:53I'm kind of surprised you're not doing the fantasy analyst thing where he and Luther Bernard are just back toback here, but maybe that's your evaluation
27:59speaking.
27:59>> It is. [laughter] >> Terry McLaren is the wide receiver 18.
28:06This is at the Dallas Cowboys. Can we just throw away week one for Terry?
28:09>> I would say for the most part, yes.
28:11That's what happens when you get Quinnon Mitchell and Vic Fangio. I I will say we'll get to digs in a second. There's
28:16there's something in the water with with with the dig stuff over there based off the tape. Now, uh, Cowboys, uh, they
28:23struggled in with the communication in week one against the Giants. Uh, Jackson Dart plus 71 ecback, week high 71% success rate. On top of that, since
28:342024, uh, the Cowboys are allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers.
28:38Terry McLuren since that span, that's the width when Jaden Daniels got there, he's had two really monster games, 62 yards and a touchdown, 102 yards and a
28:47touchdown, and then his like dud, I guess, was five for 63 scoreless. So, I think it's a great bounceback spot. The
28:53Cowboys also dealing with their uh offball linebacker overshown. He's out.
28:57And then same thing with Malik Hooker with the forearm. He's going to be out and they're losing bodies quickly. Let's talk T. Higgins as your wide receiver 19
29:07here. Um it's always going to be kind of up and down, up and down here with T.
29:12Higgins. Um, I do wonder with all the talk of the under center of play action stuff and how the Houston Texans kind of
29:19struggled with that against the Bills last week is I mean they barely did it in week one and I mean barely if maybe
29:24this was the reason why there was so much focus and they're really going to try to put it on display here and it
29:29could have success or might have some disaster written on it.
29:33>> Yeah, he still had six targets uh 19.5 average depth of target. So that's 117 airs. Like that's the good stuff. And
29:41one one of them was a huge post route under center play action where like Burrow was like let's just get this out
29:47there. Like it was a little bit performative like Nate Ty was saying and like you know you want to like have that
29:52a dot be way down there uh in the spreadsheets. Um but I do think that that will be a good thing for Tiggins.
29:57Obviously the matchup is is really bad.
30:00Uh since uh 2025 last year in week one with Burrow healthy he's the wide receiver 16 on wide receiver 21. you
30:07said, you know, drop them a couple spots because of the matchup and keep moving.
30:11>> All right, these are the stand your ground picks presented by DraftKings.
30:15Build your lineup around the players you believe in and get your picks in with DraftKings Daily Fantasy Sports and that name in today's wide receiver ranking
30:24show is Matthew Golden because he is still somehow getting zero respect for the people. First, Hayden despite our best efforts, he closed drafts as wide
30:34receiver 49. All right. Then posts a wide receiver 20 per game in week one.
30:41Is wide receiver 33 in consensus rankings and you have him all the way up as wide receiver 20 this week. Matthew
30:48Golden looks like the fantasy sleeper to me this year. 92% route participation in week one. He's in the Romeo Dos safety
30:56blanket role. So many of his targets last week were inbreakers. Some of them really short, some of them like, you know, like the 15, 18 yards down the
31:04football field variety. He just has so much more juice than Romeo Dobs. By the way, Romeo Dobs was like the wide
31:10receiver 30 in a uh on a per game basis last year. And that team was trying to run the ball. That team was playing with
31:16like some of the slowest pace, if they're going to be second in pace and eighth in pass rate uh the rest of the
31:22way, which they were in week one, Matthew Golden's going to go absolutely crazy this year. like to the point where I think this like if I had to move him
31:28up or down my rankings, I think I would continue to move him up. Uh they're projected for 24 points. They're not
31:33going to run the ball. The Jets uh defensive players aren't very good. Mika Fitzpatrick, the safety, uh he's going to be out in this one as well. He was
31:41the wide receiver too overall in expected points. There was like downfield stuff. There was endzone stuff. Uh choice routes in the back of
31:46the end zone. Uh all the like quick slants and stuff. Like this is this is what it looks like. This is a 4-3 first
31:52round pick in in a role where he's getting the ball a ton.
31:56>> Yes. I I could name about a dozen wide receivers that were selected ahead of Matthew Golden that I would clearly, if
32:01we reddrafted today, draft Matthew Golden ahead of easily.
32:05>> I got I got two dozen.
32:06>> Yeah. I mean, it's it's it's pretty insane that we were able to get this price on him. Um and yeah, six to 12
32:14targets for 95 yards against the Vikings. Let's just keep it rolling.
32:17Let's do it every single week. Devonte Adams is your wide receiver 21. Should we move to Ctier with Dvonte or keep it
32:24going in Btier?
32:25>> Let's keep him in Btier just because the reality is the Rams are projected for 28 points against the Giants who just don't
32:31have good corners. So like zoom out a little bit. He was top 10 in fantasy points last year. Like we can give him
32:37like, you know, a week to like recalibrate. And I'm guessing the older players on that flight probably struggled the most uh including him. the
32:46the stuff at the goal line, inside the 10 yard line, like there there was a little bit of a difference. Uh Nua's rep
32:52uh was the wide receiver in the three tight end set, which obviously happens a lot at the goal line. Um that does not
32:58mean that Devonte Adams is not going to score a bunch of touchdowns this year.
33:00Like when you're projected for this many points, it they'll be cut down. I agree with that. And when they are cut down,
33:07his usage between the 20s is pretty much as like a clear route threat. Uh last year's like ADOT was like uh 15.6 6
33:14yards down the football field between the 20s. Um, and he's not that's not the greatest role for him. So, I think he's
33:21be very volatile on a week- toeek basis, but like >> I mean, I'm going to give him one more week here uh after a dud.
33:29>> I mean, I do think what 11 of his 14 touchdowns last year were inside the 10 yard line. Um, so if if he's losing the
33:39inside the 10 yard line stuff, >> well, not he's losing a piece of the pie. Like there's there's >> I mean, he only ran one route in the red
33:48zone and played one of six snaps last week inside the 10 yard line. Uh, we need Matthew Stafford to like decide on
33:56the hot routes b on the run calls and disregard that. And then he only played 19% of snaps and 13 personnel in week
34:02one. I mean, if both of those things are handed over to Puka, then that's a huge shift in how Devonte scored all of his
34:09fantasy points last season.
34:11>> I completely agree. Like the the floor is lower than this ranking. Absolutely.
34:15Um, but there's a lot of wide receivers that we're going to get to soon that like they're not projected for 28 points
34:21uh as a team. So, >> okay, you do have Lad Mani in your rankings. Um, I am uncertain if he's going to play just because this ribs and
34:31he has barely practiced all week.
34:32anything you want to add on that?
34:34>> Uh, rib injuries, like sometimes like they don't practice at all. They get the injection and then um you can play. I'm
34:39not sure if he's going to play. We have Sunday to figure that out. Um, and you know, the Chargers love to do an
34:44injection to the ribs.
34:45>> Correct. We'll have more to say about the Chargers when we get to like QJ and company. Okay. Luther Burden versus the
34:50Minnesota Vikings. Is this continuing Btier or are you going to force him into Ctier despite having the exact same matchup as your wide receiver 17 this
34:59week?
34:59>> No, let's let's This will be the last one. in in this tier. Uh I do worry a little bit that he was not a full-time
35:06player. Um in the non three wide receiver set snaps, he uh was out there for 47% of them. He's going to be
35:12obviously in all three wide receiver sets, but at the same time, he's not going to be the slot in three wide
35:17receiver sets. So like if you were like this is their Aman Ross Brown, like that's just like straight up not true.
35:22Like Amman Ros's a full-time player and he plays in the slot in three wide receiver sets. That was neither of those
35:26things were true for Luther Burton. All that said, Luther Burton is way too explosive. this team is way too explosive. The matchup I think is really
35:33strong for him and he's playing enough to be I I'm going to say like an upside wide receiver three in fantasy. So, uh
35:39not panicking, but like for fourth round I I feel a little bit kind of queasy around that, but uh not panicking
35:45whatsoever.
35:46>> I will say Christian Watson's six for 147 and two. One of his big touchdowns was a huge crossing route over the
35:51middle and catch and run like that has Luther Burton written all over it against this defense. All right. Drake London is wide receiver 16 in consensus
36:01rankings. He is.
36:02>> But wide receiver 24 for you. Uh Cooper Rush.
36:09>> Look, the Cooper Rush film was it was something to see. It I mean, but you guys have to kind of go see it. You got
36:15to hate watch it. I could not believe how immobile he was. And like the arm strength wasn't there, the decisions. I
36:22mean, yeah, it it'll be some of the worst quarterback film that we'll see the entire season. It happened in week one. And they're running it back and
36:28he's kind of banged up on top of it. Um, his slot rate fell from 34% to 16%. That also was a little bit concerning to me.
36:36>> I don't know why the Falcons are projected for 20 and a half points. Um, I guess that's the state of the Panthers
36:40defense. Like that's kind of like the saving grace here. Uh, but like the floor is like nothing. Like it's literally like four and a half fantasy
36:48points, which is what he got last year or last week. And I was harsh on the Panthers defense. Some of the best plays
36:53though that the Bears made were one, Caleb Williams second phase scrambling and two like second phase passing plays, right? Second phase
37:02catches.
37:03>> They weren't horrible, especially on outside wide receivers.
37:06>> Yep.
37:07>> On the initial coverage, they just couldn't like stick on to the Bears guys again on some of that stuff.
37:12>> What is the second phase of Cooper Rush?
37:14>> Yeah, there's no there's no second there's not there's there is there even a first phase with with Cooper Rush at
37:19this point? Uh, but I agree with you on the Panthers note. They couldn't tackle between between the tackles and then it
37:24was the out of structure stuff. I mean, that's kind of like Caleb Williams went sick mode on him. Like, what could you
37:29do? I I still think the Panthers corners are like their one-two combinations. I think I still think it's pretty good.
37:33>> Yeah, they haven't said that Cooper Rush is starting this one, but again, if you want to read between the lines of
37:38Michael Penn and him working with the second stringers and also being like on a second field, it doesn't seem like this is the week that Michael Pennix is
37:45going to be out there.
37:46>> Yeah. How did it get here?
37:48Well, I mean, >> purposely. You know why? It's purposefully. Yeah, they purposely got here.
37:54>> Rashi Rice is your wide receiver, 25.
37:56This is against Indianapolis Colts.
37:58Again, I posit this question to you.
38:01If the Chiefs score a lot of points and they're projected for 26 and a half, are really 24 of those going to be through
38:09Ken Walker, the third and Travis Kelce.
38:11And if not, doesn't one of these wide receivers have to do something at some point? Yeah, that's why I got Rashi Rice
38:17as my wide receiver 28. I think he's going to do something. I I think the best of Rashi Rice is is past us in in
38:24fantasy. I mean, just look at what happened with the Chiefs. Like, they're not going to turn that around. Like, that's exactly what's going to happen. I
38:30will say the positives for Rashi Rice is the Colts were absolutely gashed in week one. They played the most man coverage,
38:3856%. Rice is terrible against man coverage. The one good thing though is so so so are the Colts. The Colts were
38:45terrible at man coverage and uh he's gonna face Justin Whe who I really liked as a prospect 2025 third rounder in the
38:52slot. He missed all of last year due to injury and then in uh week one this this last week he got absolutely burnt a
38:59couple times. So I'm holding on to Rashi Rice as a wide receiver three. I do not think that he's going to get like
39:06spammed touches um this season though.
39:09Next is DK Metaf. He of all the hidden air yards out there, this is at the New England Patriots. Um, again, he had a
39:1827% target share in week one after a 19% rate last season. He saw 48% of the team's air yards after 33% a year ago.
39:26And Hayden, maybe most notably, 17.1 airs per target after a career low 10 yards down the field last year. But he's also going to see Christian
39:35Gonzalez this year.
39:36>> He will see Christian Gonzalez. That that's the part that makes me uh skeptical because DK Mechov's role was awesome. Like that's what you want in
39:44fantasy. Um wide receiver six and expected points. 204 of those air yards, 27% target share. Steelers were fifth in neutral pass rate at 66%. That is so
39:54much higher than last year where they're at 54%. Um it wasn't effective uh to your point there. Um but this is kind of
40:02like what Mike McCarthy likes to do.
40:04Obviously MCAV had a huge drop. He had an offensive pass interference. Uh almost had a couple completions down the football field. Um really up and down
40:13game. That's going to be the the story with DK Mech. But the role is really good. The matchup's terrible. Steelers projected for 18 points, which I agree
40:19with. The Steelers offense like was it wasn't a pretty watch um in week one.
40:23>> Let's talk Jaylen Coker. He's your wide receiver 27. This is again in Atlanta.
40:29He's in a walking boot or was earlier in the week, but he said that was just mostly precautionary. Yeah. Uh, he is on
40:34a streak, a hell of a streak of big-time performances and you know AJ Terrell is not going to be on both sides and even
40:41you can get after AJ Terrell like Jillen Coker can beat him on isolated coverage on the outside.
40:46>> Yeah, I think Terrell's good, but it's it's the hardest job in America being an outside corner. Like these guys, they
40:52they all get uh got >> um since week 12, that's when he played 82% of the snaps. It was a start for him
40:59last year. eight games since then. He's a wide receiver 11 on wide receiver 27 usage. So, he's firmly in in fantasy
41:05lineups. I knocked him because of the walking the boot stuff. Um, we'll see if he gets a full participation on Friday
41:10if we get more positive news. I can move him up a couple spots, but you really can't move him down further than this.
41:15Like, this is way too many games in a row and uh of being productive. And the Panthers absolutely need him. They're
41:22not going to throw the ball to Xavier Legette who had a drop. The tight ends are going to be mixed in just a little
41:25bit, but he's a pretty, you know, right up the middle. They got three guys they're going to get the ball to and
41:30like that's all they got.
41:32>> Bryce Young only at 222 passing yards as his overunder.
41:36>> Um seems like >> I think the Falcons that's like a Falcons like >> you know the Falcons offense like we
41:43don't have to feel the pressure in this one. And there are some times where the Panthers are like >> we're running the ball and like I can
41:49see this week they'll be like we're running the football like we're going to establish it. And the Falcons can't stop the run either. I'll say this with a lot
41:56of the games that Bryce [clears throat] had really low passing yards previously, he didn't have both T-Mac and Jaylen Coker out there, you know, like Jaylen
42:03Coker didn't play six over 60% of the snaps to week eight of last season. And then you just talked about everything
42:08from week 11 and beyond. Like yeah, that quad injury snapped us from I think a potentially awesome 2015 or 2025 season
42:16on top of this too. And so we still are able to get that this year hopefully. Next is Debo Samuel.
42:24He is going to fill in somewhat for our guy Deshawn Stribbling. At least uh he'll get a bunch of routes, but this
42:28against the Miami Dolphins, Hayden, it's one of those situations where you just picked Debo off up the waiver wire and they're projected for what the most
42:35points after Thursday Night Football.
42:37>> Yeah, that's exactly right. Uh he's going to get slot corner Chris Johnson, the first round rookie that was picked apart 11 times. Um that's two
42:44touchdowns, 63 yards, six receptions against Chris Johnson. Um, and just watching what Debo Samuel did, there was a lot of first read targets to him. He
42:54had a red zone target, like a Texas route from the backfield. Uh, he had a quick, uh, quick out off a play action
43:00where he was the first read, a second and one out route, that was a first read, obviously a screen as a first
43:05read, and then a backfield choice route touchdown. A little bit of more of a broken play on that one, but once again
43:10in the back fields like this is the Debo Samuel role. He was out there for 65% of the drop backs when Deshawn Stribbling
43:16was not on the football field. Part-time player, but it's like one of those like when he's on the football, he's going to
43:22be like targets per route run guy for uh for quite a while now.
43:26>> Yeah. And it's one of those again where the Dolphins when you're project for nearly 30 points against them. Uh you
43:32would like to think there's maybe one designed play for Debo Samuel inside the five or inside the 10 yard line and they
43:38score a touchdown off of it because again, we already saw three targets or three touches for him out of the back
43:42field last week. That's sweet.
43:43>> Yep.
43:44>> I didn't bring this up on stats versus film and we don't have a tight end show.
43:47I don't think that George KD looked right. I thought he competed. I think that there's like I think we're a little
43:52bit away from from George KD like really factoring in.
43:55>> That's why we draft Jawan Johnson with George KD >> to Yeah, it wasn't like a George KD thing for right now. It's just more like
44:00Debo Samuel like this is like his spot to like be a wide receiver three for like the next month or so.
44:05>> Stefon Diggs is the next name for you.
44:07another uh you know >> unk of the group. Uh you hinted at some Stefon Diggs numbers previously in the show.
44:17>> Yeah, I mean he just only went crazy against Cooper Deene. That was four times on a one-on-one including a red
44:22zone touchdown. Cooper Dean that was that was probably the worst football I've ever seen him play. Uh cuz even Antonio Williams got him too. So that
44:28that was interesting. Uh Chigs out with a hamstring injury. He led the team with nine targets, a 30% target share. uh
44:37like Trayon Burks and Luke McCaffrey, those guys were like healthy scratches out there. Uh Cowboys, meanwhile, they lost their starting [clears throat]
44:44offball linebacker, a safety, all the communication issues. Like the Isaiah likely type of routes is kind of what Steph Diggs was doing. Uh but there was
44:53like choice routes out of the back field. He had a couple drops mixed in there, but just the way that he was
44:57being utilized, it was not like some normal slot wide receiver. Like what this felt like was a part-time Aman Ross St. Brown. And like that's notable
45:06because of of the David Blau background there, but there was like backfield stuff, slot routes, first read stuff. I thought he looked explosive. There was a
45:13couple times where they get him down the football field. Like he's someone like on sats versus film like I did not bring
45:17this up nearly enough. Like the Steph Diggs tape I thought was very encouraging. If he didn't have those drops over the middle, we would be
45:24talking about Steph Diggs a whole lot more in fantasy. So I think like from your bench into your starting lineup, like totally totally okay with that. And
45:31I think Antonio Williams only had one route before Chick went down at halftime and so like that's where that package could grow more and more and more versus
45:39Diggs was already out there uh quite a bit.
45:42>> Okay, QJ Quinton Johnston is up next for you. Uh wide receiver 33 still in the C tier here I guess. Um last week the
45:52Chargers offense averaged 6.3 yards per play. Had a 41% success rate on 25 plays with Lad Makoni on the field. That's
46:00good. On the 26 plays without him, 4.2 yards per play, so less 2.1 less. Uh, and then 33% success rate, so a drop of
46:09eight points. Um, you felt it.
46:12>> Yeah. I mean, they got Quinn Quinn Johnson more involved in those plays.
46:16Like, it did not go well. Now, like this tends to happen with Quinton Johnson.
46:20Just do want to say it again. He was a wide receiver 33 in usage. He was a wide receiver 23 last year. Like, this is one
46:25where I put it in the category of like, was it pretty last week? It absolutely was not. It's not always pretty with
46:30Quinton Johnson, but the Chargers are projected for 25 points against the Raiders secondary. Um, and you know, this is like lower than where he's been
46:40finishing like over the last year or so.
46:42And if Lad Mccon is either banged up or not out there, like who's scoring on the Chargers to get them to to 25 points
46:49now? Maybe now maybe the betting markets have this one wrong or maybe Omar Hampton goes crazy here, but like you just kind of have to zoom out and just
46:56take it what it is. Boom. bus wide receiver three.
46:58>> I've talked about this on on multiple shows this week, but it it did feel like they got the first scripted drive
47:04correct plays that they had been practicing over and over and over again and then they still kept that crazy order of operations
47:11>> window dressing for everything else and then they would just get procedural penalties or >> not pay the right landmarks. It just
47:18felt chaotic. Um >> it did. I kind of wonder how long it's going to take for it to feel like, hey,
47:25this has been well drilled and practiced often enough. Okay, you have Alec Pierce up next. Um, Alec Pierce, wide receiver, 44 in consensus rankings, wide receiver
47:3634 for you. Did you like what you saw?
47:38He was obviously limited in practice at times this week, but I'm assuming that's just going to be the new normal for him.
47:44Yeah, he had a full practice on uh Wednesday and then they held him out on Thursday, which I think like makes
47:50sense. But the fact that he's getting in full practices now makes me feel better.
47:5366% of the routes in week one, so he's not a full-time player. Uh last year though, he was he was so much higher
47:59than this in in rankings or um in his finishes. He was a wide receiver 23. So like I'm I'm trying to get him like
48:05closer and closer to that. The Colts did something though on tape that stood out to me. Alec Pierce is always going to be
48:10a vertical based player. That's what happens at X receiver. But this off seasonason they said we're paying him all this money and he's going to be like
48:17used a little bit more like a real wide receiver one. Almost all of his targets were in cuts. Uh he he had one where
48:25Nate Wiggins worked over the top of him, but Nate Wiggins like he can fly downhill and and make plays on that. The
48:30other ones, Alec Pierce like won a bunch of those reps. Um and I thought that was pretty encouraging stuff for them. The
48:36matchup is difficult. Legio Ste was like absolutely bodying guys last year uh last week. Uh same thing with N Williams. like those guys like really
48:43good players. They're only projected for 20 points. Like this is there's a very low floor here. I think like what's going to happen over the next couple
48:49like weeks here is like Alec Pierce is going to end up being a buy. I don't think you have to buy him right now, but
48:54I think that long term like this is going to be a pretty awesome role for him.
48:58>> Chris Godwin is your wide receiver 35.
49:01Anything you want to add here, whether put him in Ctier or Dtier, anything about his game?
49:06>> Um, let's keep him in this tier as well.
49:08Uh, they used him on the like some manufacturer touch. I think three of his four targets. Yeah, we're behind the line of scrimmage. Um, and he was
49:15throwing guys around like he's he's still extremely strong. I don't think that he's very quick anymore, but uh he's going to be someone that like you
49:22get a couple screens per game, you know, a third and four and then in the red zone I do think he's going to be a red
49:27zone threat. Um, and they're expected to get to the red zone often with 25 projected points. I I don't think that
49:32we're going to get like the offense flows through Chris Godwin anymore, but I don't think that means he can't, you know, pay off in in certain matchups.
49:39>> Yeah. 48% of Baker Mayfield's passes in week one were at or behind the line of scrimmage. I think that's his highest
49:45rate since like >> ever the 2022 season or something. Um >> yeah, >> so I'm not sure I love that, but we'll
49:54see.
49:54>> Uh Jordan Addison is next. I'm just going to start Dtier here. Is that fine with you?
49:58>> Yep.
49:59>> This is at the Chicago Bears. Um Jordan Addison, we always talk about, you know, Justin Jefferson, Carson Wentz. led the
50:05show with that, but he does have two 100yard games in his last five with Carson Wentz as the starter for that
50:12contest.
50:13>> Let's move him up a tier then. I I did not know that. Fun facts you learned uh on the show here. Um yep, airballed last
50:19week. Um but uh all three of his targets were like high value targets. There was like a choice route in the end zone. Uh
50:25there was a couple out routes like down the down the sideline um that he did not come up with. Very boom bust role. Um, I
50:33think Jordan Ashton's like a fine player. Like I remember like there's conversations where like Jordan Ash's like one of the best number TWWs out
50:39there. Like it's more like a mediocre too, but at the same time >> Tyreek Stevenson was, you know, double moved to death uh by Jaylen Coker and
50:47like that's that's what Jordan Madison does. Like Jordan's like double move post routes, that type of stuff. That's exactly what was the issue in Chicago
50:54and he gets a great matchup.
50:56>> Jaden Reed was drafted ahead of Matthew Golden on some platforms out there. Not Jen eyes, that's for sure.
51:03>> Um, anything you want to add here with Jaden Reed at the New York Jets?
51:07>> I think if they're going to be passing this much and they're going to be playing with that much pace, Jaden Reed
51:12becomes a lot more intriguing than he ever has before in fantasy. So, they're not going to rotate like that many players behind him. He was still a slot
51:19only player. 63% of the drop backs. That gives him no floor, but he was the wide receiver 26 and expected half PPR
51:25points, 18% targets. I think that's like enough in good matchups to to be playable. So, like I think where you drafted him, I would still move them
51:32like up a couple spots in in the overall rankings because I do think the Packers like they can't play defense, they can't
51:37run the ball, they can't pass the ball.
51:38Like I think all these guys are going to end up getting help.
51:40>> Here it is. The time you've all been waiting for.
51:43>> Wide receiver 54 [laughter] in consensus rankings is Hayden's wide receiver 38.
51:51>> That's obviously Trey Tucker of the Las Vegas Raiders. How do you feel?
51:54>> Wow. that uh I was hoping the market >> I [laughter] was hoping Casey Conpsion was the guy cuz I knew that he was
52:01coming up later. Oh yeah, let me defend this one. Okay. Uh one, this assumes Brock Bowers is out. That's a start,
52:08right? That's something in week one without Bowowers ran around 88% of dropbacks. That's nice. 18% target share. Um that's pretty good as well.
52:16Last year without Bowowers, 22% target share. Like that's that's wide receiver 4 stuff there. Uhhuh.
52:22>> This week they're going to actually have to pass the ball because they're not going to be beating up on the Dolphins.
52:26Now they have to go into the Chargers and the Chargers defense I didn't think was was very good. Um and I think
52:33they're weakest at like deep safety and outside corner and that's where Trey Tucker does a lot of his damage. Like it's a bust play.
52:40>> Did I Did I defend myself?
52:42>> Used Caro salesman stuff right there from you. That's >> I think that's all right. Projected for 40 yards in the in the in the in the
52:49markets I'm looking at. It's Yeah. I mean, don't don't actually play him, but >> Okay. Well, Casey Con I mean, next is a
52:58number of names that were drafted earlier than him. Uh, so I'm I'm just putting that out there. Casey Conception's up next. Uh, like Hayden
53:04said, he could have had a 50 plus yard touchdown if Deshun Watson didn't take a 10step drop and also get hit on that
53:10play. Uh, he had a nice route against Jordan Lewis in the slot. However, this is at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Um,
53:16obviously Todd BS is going to blitz Deshun Watson quite a bit and confuse that offensive line. You are still though ahead of consensus. Wide receiver
53:2350 for them and wide receiver 39 for you.
53:26>> Yeah, he was out there for four of nine dropbacks outside the three wide receiver set snaps, but that's at least
53:31not zero of them and they're going to be in three wide receiver sets because they're going to be losing by so many
53:36points in a lot of these these games.
53:38Um, so very nervous about the offensive line. Uh but Ruben Bane did nothing for for the Buccaneers in the opener and
53:45teams against Tampa Bay don't even like try to run the ball and the >> the Browns low-key were like passing the
53:50ball early in that game. Like they did not like try to get Quint Judkins going.
53:53It's like to me Casey Consion like I think it's going to be a PPR scam this year and that's not because he's doing
54:00it like the scam like he's a very good player. It's you know the fact that the Browns are projected for 16 points in
54:04this one.
54:05>> This could be the last game we ever see for Deshun Watson in the NFL.
54:10>> Yeah. Yeah, >> they have a home game next week against the Carolina Panthers and that could be Shador Sanders. Next is Josh DS at the
54:19Kansas City Chiefs. Every fantasy football analyst favorite pick this summer and here he is as wide receiver 40 in week two.
54:26>> Um Josh [clears throat] DS I do worry if we like you know as you know like he played great. He played
54:35in two wide receiver sets. The question then is is he good in two wide receiver sets? like maybe he will be, but this is
54:41a tough week for that against the Kin City Chiefs.
54:43>> It's kind of like the you know the game the uh telephone and like by the time you get to the 10th person like you've
54:48like the the sentence is completely flipped. I almost feel like Josh's like he's a good player. This is a fun slot.
54:53He's doing a little bit of vertical stuff and then all of a sudden by the end of the 15th podcast you listen to
54:57he's like this guy is awesome and you're like okay like we we kind of lost the plot here a little bit with him. Uh it's
55:04also a very difficult matchup against uh the Chiefs in Arrowhead on Sunday Night Football projected for 20 points. He was like a full-time player for for the most
55:12part and then Keenan Allen in Garbage Time got like six underneath target. So there there's a lot more um fantasy relevant players than projected points
55:20in this one. So he's he's a bench player.
55:22>> Courtland Sutton is up next too. I mean this wide receiver room is now a trio.
55:29Uh, I mean, I think this is easily gonna be Cordon Sutton's worst year of the last like handful.
55:34>> Yeah, probably. So, I I'm a little bit confused that the Broncos are predicted for 24 points. I think Jacksonville's defense is like really good. Um, so
55:44that's putting a lot of, you know, credit into like a high team total and he he would be a red zone threat even
55:48ahead of Jaylen Waddle this year. So, I think he's going to like hold on for relevancy, but it's like touchdown or
55:53bust type. And you know, Bon in his previous years has been fantastic at avoiding sacks. Was not in week one.
56:01Also had fumble problems. And then now you face this Jaguars monsters group up front. And so he can't have that continued week two as well.
56:08>> Uh I guess we can talk Michael Wilson.
56:11>> I will say Michael Wilson is the first of the Arizona Cardinal wide receivers that you have on this list.
56:18>> Um this is against the Seattle Seahawks.
56:20So, are you basically saying that the Arizona Cardinals are going to throw for about 70 yards their wide receivers against Seattle this year or this week?
56:28>> Um, I'm not ruling it out. Uh, look, I mean, I think Michael Wilson's better than Marvin Harrison. I'm done pretending it's, you know, that's not
56:38the case. And Michael Wilson just more involved in the offense. Like went back and watched that game. Obviously, Trey McBride just completely torched German,
56:45dude. It's one of the coolest tight end games you will ever see. Aside from that, the other kind of like part of
56:50like the half field read in the progression, it was so many more times Michael Wilson than Marvin who was pretty much running his routes like on
56:58the sideline once again. Um, and I thought he was doing it pretty lethargically if I'm going to call out his effort on on the show with Marvin
57:04Harrison >> or just like maybe he's too heavy versus where he was like his sophomore year at Ohio State. I'll put it that way.
57:10>> He it almost is like he's frustrated because he knows he's not getting the ball and like there's a reason he's not
57:17getting the ball. like the other guys on the team are better at that. Um, so >> I just remember back in his second year
57:22at Ohio State, he was like a storyteller with his routes and like had some fluidity and movement and now he just
57:27looks like one of the stiffest wide receivers in the league.
57:30>> Yeah. Um, yeah. And then on top of that, the Seahawks who correct just they're they're almost making stuff up in zone
57:37coverage to the point where it's like working so effectively um that defense the quarterback literally has no idea what he's seeing before the snap, after
57:45snap, doesn't matter. Jacob's seen everything in the league, right? Yeah.
57:49But they're even going to throw stuff at him that he probably hasn't seen before with really good players on top of it.
57:54Uh and so this might be one of those cases of, hey, are we threading the needle >> in the fourth quarter. However, that
58:01might have been more the case if it was Sam Darnold and maybe with Drew Lock, this game was a bit tighter if Nick
58:05Rollis can do his job on the defensive side.
58:07>> Yeah. On the last note, just want to see if Nicki Manor is gonna play in this game or not because if he's not out
58:13there, like I think Trey McBride's gonna go absolutely crazy because they're weakest kind of at like linebacker and uh safety right now. Um so we'll see.
58:20>> Anything you want to say about Romeo Dobs? Um I mean if AJ Brown didn't get injured, then Romeo Dobs this week would
58:28be one of the biggest stories because he barely played after signing that contract. Uh and when he was targeted in that game, uh he had a drop an
58:36interception his direction. It was just bad overall.
58:38>> It really was. He's I think he is going to be a part-time player because like they get M. Collins in there to block.
58:43They got Pop Douglas. Kyle Williams going to play. They're they're going to bring up somebody else. Um so I don't think he's going to be a full-time
58:49player. Also like Eli Raridan had a great start. They're tight end too, a rookie. Um who's an awesome prospect.
58:54Like that was encouraging. Um but he's going to play more in this one. And Romeo Dobs was like I wouldn't say he
59:00was like completely reliable. Like there was a couple times where they got like bench and they had to sit him down like
59:04all that type of stuff. Um but for the most part like that was an effective player for the Packers for multiple
59:08years. So like I don't think that based off of one game he's just going to be like completely Jaylen Fulked. Um that's
59:14the hope at least.
59:15>> Okay. Rashad Baitman uh I guess is going to be the top wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens this week. Uh they really struggled once they
59:24went down at halftime in terms of throwing the ball and it only kind of got jump started when they hit that 43
59:29yard to Chris Moore. So, I'm I'm kind of nervous that if any of these guys are even good enough to like
59:34>> Yeah.
59:35>> have it work. You know what I mean?
59:37>> Yeah. It's Leaste. Am I saying this right?
59:40>> Leonte Wester.
59:41>> Leonte Wester. Chris Moore. Rashad Baitman. Walk into a board. Yeah.
59:47>> Yes. Uh >> they're projected for 27 points though.
59:50Like I mean >> I kind of worry that Rashad Baitman is like not ranked high enough. I mean, Lamar, that was a special performance.
59:59And I totally get like it was not quite as potent after Z had left. The scoreboard is also, you know, kind of
60:05out of the way. Rashad Baitman, like we're looking deeply into this if he's if he's good at football. Um, but I
60:11mean, come on. Like Wester and Chris Moore and Tez Walker, like that's the competition this week.
60:18>> I have big news just right now. Jameson Hensley, the ESPN Ravens and Porter reporter Z Flowers has returned to practice on Friday.
60:28>> Okay. All right. Well, let's restart the show. [laughter] >> Uh, he's not even in the player pool.
60:35He's not even in the player pool. Uh, okay. We'll make this note. Where would Z Flowers be ranked for you?
60:44>> Am I allowed to know if it's a full or limited participation practice? All we get is Z Flowers has returned to
60:49practice Friday. That's all we know.
60:51>> Okay. Um I'm scrolling up past Wadd Park Washington Mecca. Let's do How about right after Christian Watson? Let's let's go right there for now. Uh and you
61:02know, if you guys want to go read words over on Yahoo, I will I will write about him. Uh the blueprint is back.
61:08>> There it is. Uh and we'll have all those rankings linked in the description down below. All right, we'll just close
61:14things out here with uh Michael Pitman Jr. Oops, definitely not there. And uh Marvin Harrison Jr. Uh just final notes on those two guys. Pitman worked outside
61:25for 75% of his snaps. That's not great for him if he's not moving as well. And then Marv played 89% of his snaps out
61:32wide. Uh 24.7 airs per target. Uh you ever listen to that Creed song? Like oh my sacrifice.
61:41That's him.
61:42>> That's him. Yeah. Um I don't listen to that much Creed, but I like to I like to go with it from from you there.
61:47>> Sacrifice.
61:48>> Yeah. Yeah.
61:50>> More of an Allison Shains guy.
61:52>> Okay. Well, that's going to do it. I mean, even like Carell Tate is buried here. Uh is your wide receiver 50
61:59>> Tennessee Titans? We will see the Tennessee Titans in the SEC conference if by the end of this year.
62:04>> Uh just some other like notable names.
62:07Caleb Douglas would have been next. Uh he was picked up frequently in the waiverwire. I think you still should uh keep that in mind as a positive, but
62:14he's your wide receiver 50 48, excuse me, but that's still ahead of a bunch of other names like, you know, Jaguars,
62:19wide receivers, and so on and so forth.
62:21>> Yeah, Brian Thomas going to get the Pat Sertan treatment was not out there in three uh the three or in the two wide
62:26receiver sets at all. Um so that's kind of concerning there. So yeah, gathering gathering more information, but remember after like the top 36 wide receivers,
62:34these guys are not flex plays. Like the running the crappy running back you want, those guys are in your flex. like
62:39after a certain point, like who even cares about the YC 45?
62:42>> Yep. All right, that does it. As always, we'll be back here Sunday morning, 10:30 a.m. Eastern with a refined, refreshed
62:52first hour of Fantasy Football Live, uh, that you'll be even more a part of, all about your questions >> and some other stuff mixed in there. And
63:00then Hayden joins at 11:30 a.m. Eastern.
63:03And for the next hour and a half, 90 minutes up until kickoff, it is only your questions. So, you've been majorly
63:09supportive of us uh over this last week.
63:12It's been awesome to see. The numbers are outrageous. So, thanks for doing that. And we'll see you all on Monday and Sunday up the villa. Talk to you
63:20guys soon. See you.
