0:10Hey, I'm Mike Yam. And I'm Trevor Sikkema. And together, we host the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
0:16Are you ready to dominate your fantasy league this season?
0:20Because if you aren't locked in with us on the NFL Fantasy Football Show, you're already playing from behind.
0:27Whether you're a first-time player or a grizzled vet chasing another championship, we give you the advantage and the confidence you need to make every move count.
0:36Listen to the NFL Fantasy Football Show on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
0:43All right, coming up on the NFL Report, how five teams made it to 3-0 in week number three.
0:50Week three also had its downside. It is a veritable who's who on the Monday injury report.
0:55We have the latest and not all of it is good news.
1:00Plus, can the Bears find a way to beat Saquon Barkley and the Eagles without Caleb Williams tonight?
1:06Bucky Brooks is telling you there is a chance.
1:09It is next on the NFL Report. It is an NFL Report road show, everybody.
1:14Live from Cleveland High, I'm Andrew Siciliano. Hope you had a fantastic weekend.
1:19We're presented by Nationwide. What a wild week three.
1:22We have highlights of the game that I was at.
1:25Browns and Panthers coming up shortly, and Bucky Brooks tells you how, again, the Bears can beat the Eagles.
1:32We get to that shortly, but first, what is news to me?
1:36Our latest headlines. Not an injury, but a trade right out of the gates.
1:41Buried as the number three quarterback in Minnesota, the Vikings have sent J.J.
1:46McCarthy to the Giants to be QB2 behind Jameis Winston.
1:49In return, a fifth-round pick in 2027. Consider that McCarthy was the number 10 overall pick in 2024.
1:56Today's a tough day. I mean, obviously, nothing about this changes the way I feel about J.J.
2:01or the hopes I have for him. I think it's a good opportunity in New York, and as I told him, I'll
2:09be pulling for him like crazy to see him go and do well and apply a lot of the things that we've
2:17talked about over his period of time here. I know I speak for a lot of his teammates and definitely coaches alike in that regard.
2:26So, no J.J. McCarthy on the depth chart this week, but you should potentially, you could, let me rephrase that, have Justin
2:33Jefferson, who couldn't finish the game yesterday. Vikings now 3-0.
2:37Ian Rappaport says it's an ankle, but the imaging looked okay today, and there is a chance he plays on Sunday.
2:44That game on Sunday is in the late window against the Dolphins, and Miami is not going to have, beg your pardon,
2:52let me get to that in a second. We'll give you Brian Burns here.
2:57I'm sorry, Brian Burns sticking with the Giants. He has an ACL injury, so the Giants injuries keep on stacking up.
3:04John Harbaugh confirms that the former top 10 pick needs season-ending surgery.
3:08Now, Devon Achan, it's the same story with him, unfortunately.
3:12Achan, ACL, and he too is done for the year.
3:15Dolphins and Vikings again coming this Sunday. You know, my heart breaks for the guy.
3:20You know, you talk about him as a great player, but, you know, since I've gotten to know him, watching him grow
3:28and develop, you know, earning the captain role, becoming a leader of the team, becoming such great energy, such a great teammate,
3:36I know that he'll be back, and he'll be back strong.
3:40And he's got a really, really, really bright future, because I know how he'll work at this thing.
3:46RB2, Ali Gordon also backed up or banged up behind Achan.
3:50Meantime, RB2 in New York is Braylon Allen. He's moving up to RB1 because Brees Hall is weak to weak.
3:57This, according to Ian and ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hall had some good news.
4:01The MRI, it's not significant as it was initially feared.
4:05For Brees Hall, it is a quad injury. It is a thumb injury for Baker Mayfield, a dislocated right thumb.
4:12That is his throwing hand. It happened late in the game on the TV broadcast.
4:17You can hear the audible screams from Mayfield. Todd Bowles says it could be three weeks out of action.
4:23Jalen Daniels, the rookie out of Kansas, undrafted, made the team, is the backup for the three or the O and three bucks he takes over.
4:33How about the game we had in Rio yesterday?
4:36Wild finish. Look at the clock. We're tied at 31 after the Cowboys tied it on a Brandon Aubrey field goal and
4:43then kicked it into the end zone for a touchback with seven seconds left.
4:48Lamar Jackson, Dezei Flowers, 27 yards to the 38.
4:51They called timeout, put a second back on the clock.
4:55That looked like the right call, and it set up a game winner for Tyler Loop.
5:00The GOAT in week 18 a year ago is the hero in week three in Rio.
5:06The touchback rule is huge. Like, it's the 35-yard line, so we felt like the same way with their kicker.
5:13I mean, when they get the ball in the 35, like they're 15 yards from being in field goal range.
5:20We felt like, again, one play that could take six seconds, kind of know the time that that route takes and the yards that we needed.
5:29Great execution by our guys and came through. Coach called the play.
5:33We all, everyone was on the same, same, same timing.
5:37Dezei did a great job. Line did a great job at protecting.
5:41Dezei ran a great route, and I just had to deliver the baby.
5:45He called it, and I was just, as soon as he get down, I was, please see me, Ralph.
5:52Yeah, but he did. Had to say timeout in Portuguese.
5:56It worked. That was a great game. This was also a great game.
6:00What a wild game. Look at the score here.
6:0317-10. Washington has a lead third quarter. When all of a sudden it came to a 14-point lead.
6:10Marcus Mariota, Terry McLaurin, and it's 24-10. Sam Darnold, though, would bring the Seahawks back after missing week two.
6:16Here he hits JSN. One of his two touchdowns on the day.
6:20One of his ten catches on the day, and bam, we've got a game.
6:25But with Washington leading by three with four minutes to go, Kane Medrano, the former UCLA linebacker, the former teammate of Carson
6:33Swessinger, had never played defense, only a special teams backer before this game.
6:37Game-winning pick six. We have an unbelievable group of guys.
6:41I think that's kind of been the message over the last three years that I've been here, two years.
6:48And, like, the more that adversity hits, the more that the circumstances kind of pin us against the wall, these guys find a way.
6:56And I'm grateful to be a part of it.
6:59I'm grateful to have the coaching staff that we had and that we have, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.
7:07You know, not the outcome that we wanted. Too many turnovers, didn't execute enough in the red zone.
7:14And, yeah, I feel like we just got to be better.
7:18You know, first downs, I feel like we can be a little bit more efficient.
7:23And, yeah, I feel like as a whole our offense can be more efficient and we can be better operationally as well.
7:31That ends a 12-game winning streak for Sam Darnold and the Seahawks.
7:35So, Darnold came back from injury. Caleb Williams is not going to be able to do that tonight.
7:41It is a grade two hamstring injury we learned over the weekend.
7:45He could miss potentially. Again, potentially. Three to four weeks.
7:49So, in his place tonight, it's not going to be Tyson Bajan who cleared the concussion protocol late in the week.
7:56It is going to be that man, 38-year-old Case Keenum, still the leading passer in NCAA Division I FBS history.
8:03On the other side of the field, Devontae Smith, Saquon Barkley, expected to play as the Eagles look to keep it rolling.
8:11We look to go back to Los Angeles now and speak to our good friend Bucky Brooks to try to find a way.
8:19Hi there, Bucky. Try to find a way for Ben Johnson to win with 38-year-old Case Keenum, RB3, the very first time
8:26as a play caller in the NFL that Johnson will not have Bucky QB1.
8:31I mean, look, this is such an interesting thing for Ben Johnson.
8:35But I would tell him, hey, do what we do.
8:39This is an opportunity for the Chicago Bears to show and prove to everybody.
8:44It's not just the quarterback. It is the playmakers around the quarterback that elevate everything.
8:49And Ben Johnson gets to show everyone that all that sorcery that he does with the schemes, he can continue to do that.
8:57So I look for this team to still display the physicality and the pizzazz.
9:02There's been a hallmark of their thing. But I also look for them to score points.
9:08Ben Johnson does a great job of creating mismatches.
9:11Case Keenum has been in this league long enough that he can exploit those.
9:16And because he's had a full week of practice, I do not expect to see a major drop off from this offense in Chicago.
9:24All right. Case Keenum, 38 years old. I saw him in person in the preseason.
9:29He was slinging it. Granted, he was working against the Browns' third team, guys that were getting cut.
9:35But he can still play a little bit. He knows where to put the football.
9:41Part of the issue with J.J. McCarthy was getting him to put the football where Kevin O'Connell needed it to be.
9:48Bucky, curious your thoughts on that trade today. The Vikings selling for really 30 cents on the dollar.
9:54They took the guy with the 10th overall pick a couple of years ago.
9:59The Giants, there's a Harbaugh connection. Get a young QB, too.
10:03What do you think of the move? Well, I love it from the Giants standpoint.
10:08It's not great for the Minnesota Vikings. The 10th overall pick, you only get a fifth rounder back.
10:15But that's neither here nor there. For the Giants, look, John Harbaugh can just call his brother Jim Harbaugh and say, hey, how do I unlock this playmaker?
10:24What I do know is there was a love affair between Jim Harbaugh and J.J.
10:30McCarthy when he was at Michigan. I'm sure he conveyed that to his brother.
10:34Then I think about Matt Nagy, who has been around athletic quarterbacks and athletic playmakers.
10:40And for J.J. McCarthy, sometimes you just need a new environment.
10:43And more importantly, maybe you need someone who believes in you.
10:47I've seen that firsthand. I understand how Harbaugh can pump life into J.J.
10:52McCarthy. And he is going to get an opportunity to show and prove to people that, hey, it may not have worked
11:00in my first spot, but surrounded by a solid run game, some playmakers on the outside.
11:05I think this works actually in New York. And for New York, two young first-rounders at quarterback, one as a starter, another
11:13as a backer, and Jackson Dart and J.J. McCarthy.
11:16We talk about elevating the talent in the quarterback room.
11:19They certainly have done that with Jameis Winston as the right mentor to help both of these guys continue to make strides as they develop in their career.
11:29Yeah. I'd be fascinated to hear Jackson Dart's reaction when he heard that they traded for another young quarterback.
11:36It's not going to be great. You're bringing another young guy, another first-round pick.
11:41It's not going to be great. But he's on the mend.
11:45You deal with that later. I think it's important for Joe Shane to give this team the best opportunity to win right now.
11:53When you look at the NFC East, it is wide open for them.
11:57They're sitting at 2-1. Why not upgrade the talent?
12:00Just see what you can do this year. Little Aikman-Walsh flashback.
12:04Kids, Google it. And also, while you do that, watch NFL Game Day preview coming up right here with Bucky Brooks and
12:12Mike Ammon and others shortly after we get done.
12:15Thank you, Bucky. How about this game last night?
12:18Full disclosure, I fell asleep at halftime. It was kind of in and out of what turned into a ridiculous game.
12:25A game that many people thought could have been last year's Super Bowl, but neither made it through the conference championship route.
12:33Rams are up 16-0 at the half. But, of course, Bo Nix plays well in the second half.
12:39That's what he does. And Matthew Stafford throws a pick six here.
12:44To Talanoga, who ran it back fourth quarter. And the Broncos all of a sudden have a lead.
12:50Stafford, though, can throw the pick six. He can also throw the touchdown.
12:54True story. I woke up to a text. Who is Kanata Mumfield?
12:59Who is he? Should I go get him if Puka's out?
13:02He's a seventh-round pick out of Pitt. Last season, he gets the touchdown.
13:07But Bo Nix, as mentioned, plays well in the fourth quarter.
13:11Here's Bo going over the top. And the Broncos retake the lead.
13:15Now, there's a controversial interception. The Rams thought that Josh Wallace had ended the game.
13:20They called a DPI. They weren't happy about that.
13:23But forget about that for a second. The Rams had a chance after this Bo Nix score to march down the field and score.
13:32Look at the clock. This is it. Final play.
13:35You hear Tariko say final play. And it's another Hufanga interception.
13:39His second of the game. And the Broncos rally in the second half and stunned Matthew Stafford and the Rams.
13:46Didn't get the result we wanted, like he said.
13:49Thought our a** off, which was awesome. You know, obviously don't want to have a pick six.
13:55I'm hot there. Trying to pick one of my two hots.
13:59Hufanga makes a good play. I can't get him on the ground and adds points to him there.
14:05Bounce right back, throw a touchdown pass. They go down, do their thing.
14:09And, you know, had a chance at the end of the game.
14:14I mean, it's a tough one. They forced the ball out.
14:17Brought more than we had to block. Tried to put one up.
14:22After the Rams now have to go to Philadelphia to play the Eagles.
14:26Hey, we talked all week, man. Like, what would it reveal?
14:30What would it reveal? This is what I learned, man.
14:33That this team f***ing does this. All right? We can make all the excuses, right?
14:39We f***ing turn the ball over. They go down and score.
14:43But we just put the ball down. I f***ing love it, man.
14:47You earned every win in this f***ing league, man.
14:50So proud of the men in this room. I'm so proud of us, man.
14:55We just keep going, man. Just find ways to go 1-0.
14:59That's all that matters. Greg Russo, break it down.
15:02Yeah, G. Love y'all boys, man. Bills on three, Bills on three.
15:06One, two, three. Bills. This team is this, and this team is 3-0.
15:10But does this team have NFL Plus Premium? Get NFL Red Zone.

15:30Terms and conditions do apply. I mentioned NFL Red Zone.
15:33You might have watched the Bills somehow pull it out of the fire despite attempting.
15:38Hi there, Scott Hanson. What's up, Andrew? To give the game to the Chargers over and over and over again.
15:45Good to see you, sir. You want to list for your seven hours of fun your three biggest wins yesterday?
15:52Yeah, when we were going to get ready to do this, they said, what were your three biggest wins?
15:59We had nine games in the early window. Eight of them were one possession games in the fourth quarter.
16:06Several of them had either a game-winning score in the final minute or a game-clinching defensive stop in the final minute.
16:13Fun stuff. But to pare them down, I'm going to start with Joe Brady and the Buffalo Bills as my third biggest win on Red Zone yesterday.
16:22Reason is, the Bills were bad yesterday. Even awful.
16:25Dude, five turnovers, ten penalties against them. They didn't take the lead against the winless Chargers until halfway through the fourth quarter, and yet they won the game.
16:35On the flip side for the L.A. Chargers, in the last 16 years of NFL football, teams that forced five turnovers, which
16:43the Chargers did yesterday, forced five turnovers, were 81-3-1.
16:46The third loss was the Chargers yesterday. The two previous losses were also the Chargers franchise.
16:52So they got stuff to figure out there at 0-3, but the Bills with a big win to stay undefeated here in the young season.
17:00And the Bills not get the Patriots. That note about the Chargers there went around social media late Sunday, and when you
17:08read it, you think, oh, that's someone taking an unfair shot at the Chargers.
17:13They just made that up and did the sad Charger mascot there.
17:17No, that's an actual real number, and all three losses have been the Chargers.
17:22If I had told you, Scott, that you could go to Vegas and say the Raiders are going to be 3-0 through
17:30three weeks for recreational purposes only, you probably would have gotten good odds in Vegas on that.
17:36100%. Or down the Mississippi Delta, as a matter of fact, where they played this game yesterday in New Orleans.
17:43My second biggest win, the Las Vegas Raiders going on the road against the viable New Orleans Saints team and coming up
17:50with a late fourth quarter, second half rally to get this victory.
17:54Las Vegas trailed 27-16 in this game. They won the game 35-27.
17:59Kirk Cousins throwing the ball around. He's had multiple touchdowns in all games.
18:03Brock Bowers came back, 10 catches, 116 yards, and a touchdown right there.
18:08Las Vegas is 3-0, and they look legitimate. They look like they could be one of those teams by January when we
18:15say, well, we've got six new playoff teams in the field in the postseason this year.
18:21Maybe it's Las Vegas' turn. So big win, and I think it's a big win for the rest of the NFL to
18:29look at as well because you, ladies and gentlemen, if you don't think the head coach is the guy or the quarterback
18:36is the guy, that's where Las Vegas was a year ago.
18:40And now undefeated and looking like they are a playoff contender here in the first month of the season.
18:47Yeah, it's been 36 consecutive years. That number's accurate.
18:5036 consecutive years with at least four new playoff teams.
18:53They have a huge test this week with the Chiefs coming to Vegas.
18:58But that is now a huge game in week four.
19:01The Raiders and the Chiefs. It's a division rival.
19:05Yeah, okay, it's a fun game, but you didn't think it was a playoff implication game already in week four when the schedule came out.
19:13But it is. How about the ending in Rio with not one, but two field goals in the final ten seconds?
19:21Yeah, in the final seven seconds if you really want to parse it out here.
19:26Unbelievable. I mean, the NFL, this is the biggest win of the week for me because the Ravens won a game, but the NFL won a game.
19:35They exported America's team and let's call them South America's team now, the Baltimore Ravens, and put on arguably the best game of the year.
19:44High scoring, back and forth, last second drama. And in a soccer cathedral in that stadium there, we had two kicks to
19:52tie and win the game in the last seven seconds.
19:55Our computers are smoking in the hallway here at NFL media headquarters because they've grinded back as far as they can.
20:03We don't think there's ever been a game in pro football history where there were two field goals in the final seven seconds of a game.
20:12Certainly in the Super Bowl era, there have not been two scores in the final seven seconds of regulation.
20:18We could break down every play of this game.
20:21You know, how does Zay Flowers get that open for the one thing that could have burned the Dallas Cowboys actually happened
20:29on the second to last play of the game?
20:32And of course, Tyler Loop comes in and kicks it off there.
20:36Brazil, I hope you appreciated that game as much as all of us here in the States did.
20:43What a win for Baltimore. At Madacana Stadium. Final drive began with seven seconds remaining.
20:48That's real. That's not official. Don't take a knee.
20:51Don't play for overtime ever in this league. Yeah, I was listening to the car.
20:56Full disclosure, I wasn't watching Scott at the end.
20:59I was driving home here in Ohio and I was like, wait a minute.
21:04Wait, I know they're going to put another second on and then listening to it.
21:10They're like, no, it's a legit second. They made the right call.
21:14Loop nailed the kick and it was a fantastic game.
21:17It had a fantastic seven hours yesterday with Scott Hanson.
21:21I appreciate you, sir. Great to see you. Have a great week.
21:25Talk to you next week. Part of that fantastic seven hours this game.
21:29This game in Pittsburgh. Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, only the second time they had met.
21:35The Steelers came in with the worst offense in the NFL.
21:39That's not me being anti-Steelers. It's just a fact.
21:42But they busted out of it. Rodgers, 292 and three touchdowns.
21:45This one to friend of the program, Benny Skoranek.
21:49This one to, you know, we'll call DK a friend.
21:52DK's a good dude. He had a rough first two weeks.
21:56This one to DK Metcalf. His first touchdown of the year.
22:00No one thought we'd have a shootout here. Not with what the Bengals defense had done through two weeks, but that's what it was.
22:08Joe Burrow had a shot at the end. Joe Burrow hit, however.
22:12Derek Harmon hit him. And there is your dagger, as Wayne Larrabee would say.
22:17Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers are two and one.
22:20I know this is the media day and age that we're in.
22:25There's overreactions when we put up three points and look like, dog, you know what?
22:30You know, we had a nice game today. We put up over 400 yards and 30 points, and it could have been a lot more.
22:39But every week is a different week. Different challenge, different opponent, different defense.
22:43We got to be critical of some things. There's a lot of things to clean up.
22:49We had some drops, had some MAs, but I thought it was a tighter week for us mentally, as far as execution-wise.
22:56What if I told you the entire AFC North is two and one?
23:01All four teams are two and one, including Deshaun Watson's Cleveland Browns.
23:05First time back at home for a regular season game since his torn Achilles.
23:10And he wasn't great, at least not early, but he made enough plays.
23:14Here's one of two touchdowns to Harold Fannin. That gave the Browns the lead, but Bryce Young and the Panthers hung around.
23:22They were the better offense in the second half.
23:25With injuries all over the place, John Mechie got in the end zone, and the Panthers had a lead until the Browns' final offensive possession.
23:34They marched down the field. There was a pick called back on a roughing the passer, and Deshaun Watson looked like vintage Houston.
23:42Deshaun Watson making a play on the run, hitting Fannin for his second score.
23:47They went for two. They got the two. Eventually picked off Bryce Young and won this game.
23:53And it's now the Browns and the Steelers coming up to open up week four on Thursday night.
23:59Let's do some quick hits here on the NFL report.
24:03It looks funny on the TV, but it's an equipment manager's nightmare.
24:07The Giants logo on the side of Cam Scadaboo's helmet came off yesterday.
24:11Giants found a way to eke out a win, however, despite that, over the Titans in the rain.
24:18Ian Rappaport says J.C. Horn has a torn quad, is out indefinitely.
24:22Horn posted on Instagram that he will be back.
24:25Dave Canales said they are still waiting on second and third opinions to know exactly how long Horn will be out.
24:32He's their number one corner. It's a little bit better for wide receiver two.
24:37It is for Jalen Coker, a quad strain. Train his situation much better as the Panthers come back in primetime coming up on Sunday night.
24:46Meantime, positive news for Jaden Daniels. Dan Quinn says the quarterback who didn't play yesterday with the dislocated left elbow is going to travel to London.
24:55The Commanders play the Colts this week in London.
24:58Daniels has got to practice a little bit. And Quinn says he is in his ear.
25:04He is pushing to play, although that does right now seem like a bit of a long shot.
25:10Puka Nakua with a groin. Kobe Parkinson with the A.C.
25:13The updates from Sean McVay a day after losing to the Broncos.
25:18Jalen Watson dislocated shoulder might be the most serious of those injuries.
25:22Rams get the Eagles again coming up in week four.
25:25We have time now for one more thing. You've had a week of prep.
25:30How confident are you in carrying this team forward?
25:33One thing that I do is forgetting those that is behind and reaching for what's ahead.
25:39Well, we're having beautiful weather today. A.J. Ross doing her best there on CBS.
25:44I've been in that position before, A.J. Well done as Jameis Twinson kind of stares off and recites lines from a movie.
25:52I'm Andrew Siciliano. Game Day preview is next. See you.
