Brock Purdy

NegativeProjection5:34

Brock Purdy takes a slight downward hit in fantasy projections due to multiple 49ers wide receiver injuries (Ricky Pearsall before season start, De'Shawn Shribling week one, Christian Kirk before season start, Deebo Samuel last week, Mike Evans in this game). While still performing well, reduced passing volume is expected going forward.

Insight page

Christian Kirk

NegativeRole10:26

Christian Kirk was elevated off injured reserve but missed the game despite the source expecting him to play. If forced to select a Niners receiver for the following week, Kirk would be the preference, though significant uncertainty remains about actual usage and target volume given the depth of San Francisco's receiving corps.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveUsage5:50

Christian McCaffrey is locked and loaded as an RB1 with massive increased usage as a receiver due to 49ers wide receiver injuries (Pearsall, Shribling, Kirk, Samuel, Evans). He recorded 10 targets in the recent game and was correctly projected over 21 points. The source expects the 49ers to lean on McCaffrey heavily as a pass-catcher going forward.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeInjury0:18

Davante Adams ruptured his hamstring and is expected to be out for effectively the rest of the fantasy football season, with only a potential return if the Rams make the playoffs. This injury significantly impacts the best team in the source's league, which had Adams as a key asset.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeProjection0:58

Jayden Daniels' rushing volume declined significantly in the recent game compared to the previous week, and with a massive arm brace on his left arm limiting his mobility, he is unlikely to replicate his rookie-season S-tier quarterback ceiling. The source downgrades Daniels from an elite tier to a matchup-dependent quarterback; without the rushing volume and with Stefon Diggs too old to be a legitimate alpha receiver and Terry McLaurin removed as a deep threat, Daniels' ceiling is substantially lower. The source suggests rostering him as a matchup play against other QBs like Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence, or Dak Prescott rather than as a standalone elite option.

Insight page

Jordan Watkins

PositiveSleeper10:24

Jordan Watkins emerges as a waiver wire pickup option at wide receiver for San Francisco amid receiver injuries and uncertainty about target distribution.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury5:51

Mike Evans suffered a lower-leg injury in the game; Achilles is intact but he will miss time. He likely misses week 7, is out week 8 (49ers bye), and potentially returns week 9. Evans was playing incredibly well before he went down, making his status critical for the 49ers passing game and fantasy outlook.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveProjection5:13

Stefon Diggs moves up in rankings with Terry McLaurin sidelined. Despite dealing with a hamstring injury himself, Diggs is now a borderline top 24 wide receiver rest of season and a start-every-week caliber player.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeInjury0:44

Terry McLaurin suffered a significant leg injury in the game, was carted off the field with a massive air cast on his left leg after immediately grabbing his knee, and the source's base expectation is that he is out for the season. The source has already moved McLaurin down to wide receiver 60 in rest-of-season rankings, indicating a season-ending injury prognosis despite no official confirmation.

0:00Today's been the most impactful day of
0:02fantasy football in quite some time,
0:05right? Before we had two significant
0:07injuries in this game here, what
0:08happens? Oh, Jacquory Croskey-Merritt
0:11goes to the injured reserve making
0:13Rashad White definitely a viable running
0:15back in fantasy. But more importantly,
0:18we have Davante Adams, the announcement
0:21that he ruptured his hamstring, and
0:23Davante Adams is going to be out for
0:26effectively the rest of the fantasy
0:28football season. Hopefully, he can back
0:30for the Rams if they make the playoffs.
0:32Now, obviously, already pretty massive,
0:35right? The best team in my league had
0:37Davante Adams, they lose Davante Adams,
0:39and all of a sudden looks a little bit
0:41easier to win my league. And then, we
0:44get Terry McLaurin going down, we get
0:46Mike Evans going down in this game as
0:48well.
0:49Absolutely massive. Big, big, big
0:52impacts here, and we're going to talk
0:53about it all. Um first thing, starting
0:56with the Washington offense. So, um
0:58Jayden Daniels
1:00did seem like he was running around a
1:01lot, like he was taking on a lot of hits
1:04in this
1:05game, but at the end of the day, the
1:07rushing volume wasn't anything like you
1:09had last week. I still think that
1:11Daniels is going to be playable in
1:13fantasy football.
1:15He had 300 passing yards, but
1:18man,
1:19if he's not going to run, just the same
1:22ceiling that we had 2 years ago in his
1:24rookie season is not going to be
1:26present. Like, Stefon Diggs is too old
1:29to be like legitimate alpha wide
1:31receiver that's elevating your offense.
1:33No Terry McLaurin removes their deep
1:35threat.
1:37And while Daniels did run last week,
1:40with that massive arm brace on his left
1:42arm reminding you at all times that he
1:44can break like a twig at any moment,
1:46he's probably not going to be running as
1:48much as he did his rookie season. So, I
1:50think Jayden Daniels, instead of having
1:52any chance of being like an S-tier
1:53quarterback alongside Josh Allen like he
1:55was his rookie year, I think you're more
1:58likely than not looking at like a
1:59matchup player where if you roster
2:01Jayden Daniels and Jordan Love, Jayden
2:03Daniels and Trevor Lawrence, Jayden
2:05Daniels and Dak Prescott, you're playing
2:07the matchups between them. Now, going
2:09over to the running back position,
2:12I went ahead and I traded for Rashad
2:14White Sunday morning. I gave up $400 FAB
2:17and Hunter Henry to pick up Rashad
2:19White. I didn't realize Jacquory Cross
2:21Kemmer was going to the IR. I just
2:22wanted a viable running back to play
2:24this week when we knew JCM was already
2:26going to be ruled out. So, I was very
2:29much looking at the running back usage
2:30in this game.
2:32And
2:33I don't have the snap data in front of
2:34me, but I think Rashad White was out
2:37there for the majority of snaps. Don't
2:39get me wrong, we had Jeremy McNichols
2:41out there as well. Like we did get a
2:43rushing touchdown from McNichols as well
2:45that was called back. And Austin Ekeler
2:47did get some third down usage. But
2:49Rashad White leads this backfield with a
2:51seven carries. All other running backs
2:54combined for six. And Rashad White led
2:57with five targets where all other
2:59running backs combined for two.
3:01So,
3:02if we look at just the raw amount of
3:05volume, Rashad White gets about 13
3:07opportunities in this backfield in
3:09comparison to all other running backs at
3:11eight. I would probably expect this to
3:13be the case going in the future. Rashad
3:15White's going to see 60-70%
3:18of this Commanders backfield. And since
3:20this isn't a great team, the offensive
3:22line isn't particularly strong, I don't
3:25think that's like a super valuable
3:26running back. He's definitely going to
3:28be startable with no Jacquory Cross
3:29Kemmer. He'll be like a low-end RB2 in
3:3112-team leagues. And he'll be a
3:33borderline maybe flex in 10-team
3:36formats. But, we do have the Commanders
3:39on bye next week, so we're not going to
3:40get to use him next week.
3:42Now,
3:43going over to the pass catchers, I'm
3:47going to record the waiver wire video
3:48after this and we'll go into depth
3:52with
3:54Chig. We'll go into depth with Trey
3:56Lance Burks. I'll just say right now, my
3:59base expectation
4:02is going to be that Terry McLaurin
4:05is out for the season.
4:07Now, we have no confirmation about this,
4:09right? I could very, very easily be
4:13wrong.
4:14But, what we saw in this game
4:17is Terry McLaurin
4:19he went down
4:20and he gets carted off. Trying to find a
4:23photo of him on the cart. Here is a
4:25video of him on the cart or they're
4:28putting him on the cart with this video.
4:30Um, the biggest concern that I would
4:33have here is
4:36one, the Niners players, they all walked
4:39over to see Terry McLaurin.
4:42They tell him, "Hey, man, you're going
4:43to be okay." You can see Fred Warner
4:44here.
4:46They pick him up, put him on the cart,
4:48and he has a massive air cast on his
4:50leg.
4:52He grabbed his knee immediately. I have
4:54already moved Terry McLaurin down to
4:56like wide receiver 60 in my rest of
4:58season ranks. I think the expectations
5:00are that Terry's done for the year.
5:02Okay, so here is Actually, you can kind
5:04of see him getting lifted up to put on
5:07the cart, and you see this massive cast
5:09on his left leg.
5:11So, I think Terry is going to be out for
5:13the season, which gut reaction is Stefon
5:16Diggs, who did get banged up in this
5:18game himself, also he's been dealing
5:20with a hamstring, does move up my
5:22rankings to no Terry McLaurin, Diggs is
5:25probably a borderline top 24 wide
5:27receiver rest of season, and somebody
5:29you're starting every week. And then
5:31Chig is now all of a sudden going to
5:33actually be an interesting tight end
5:35that you can look at in Washington as
5:37well. We'll talk about him a little bit
5:38more in depth on the waiver wire video,
5:40but those two guys I would definitely be
5:42more interested in than like Trey Lance
5:44Burks and Antonio Williams, who will be
5:46the secondary receiver options.
5:49Now,
5:50let's move over to
5:54the Niners side of things.
5:58And with this, let's set the stage. One,
6:01I will say that honestly,
6:04I I'm not a fan of any NFL team, right?
6:06I I wish I was. I'm sure I'd have a ton
6:08of fun. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas.
6:10We don't have a football team there. I
6:12started playing fantasy football before
6:14I started watching NFL games, right? So,
6:16I I don't really have a massive
6:18allegiance. It's not like I was 5 years
6:20old watching NFL games. Again, I started
6:22playing fantasy football like 10 years
6:24old, and that's what made me start
6:25watching games as I was just rooting on
6:27the players on my own team.
6:29But,
6:30god dang, the Niners are maybe the most
6:32well-run organization in the entire NFL.
6:34Brock Purdy is so damn good.
6:38This team loses Ricky Pearsall before
6:41the season starts.
6:42Their second-round pick, De'Shawn
6:44Shribling, week one.
6:46Christian Kirk before the season starts.
6:48They lose Deebo Samuel last week.
6:51They lose Mike Evans in this game who
6:52was hobbled, and it doesn't matter.
6:55Brock Purdy gets it done. Kyle
6:57Shanahan's going to get somebody open,
7:00and Brock Purdy's going to find them.
7:03Like,
7:05in like Brock Purdy's incredible. Now,
7:08for fantasy football purposes, so much
7:11hinges on the status of Mike Evans here.
7:15I have no idea what the deal with Mike
7:16Evans is going to be.
7:18I'll pull up, see if we can find the
7:19video of Mike Evans um limping in the
7:22tunnel leaving the game. Um
7:26we have random
7:29accounts on Twitter saying Mike Evans
7:31might have just tore his Achilles, blah
7:33blah blah. I'm not going to say that
7:34there's no chance that is true.
7:36Um but, Evans did walk to the locker
7:40room with a noticeable limp. He was
7:42stretching out the Achilles uh the
7:44couple minutes before he actually went
7:46down.
7:48Um
7:51We just got the report actually that the
7:53Achilles is intact, which is great. So,
7:57yeah, we actually just got this report
7:58right here. Let me pull this up.
8:02Hearing wide receiver Mike Evans
8:04Achilles is intact, but he will miss a
8:07little time potentially after the bye
8:09week if all things stay according to
8:11plan. Let me pull up when we have the
8:1449ers bye.
8:16And oh, J Rich says week eight is the
8:18bye week, which is good for Mike Evans
8:20owners. So, maybe in that case Mike
8:23Evans misses week seven.
8:25He obviously was going to miss week
8:26eight no matter what and potentially you
8:29get him back in week nine.
8:32Which of course we'll see. I know
8:35it's just way too early to know anything
8:37here realistically. But
8:40Evans was playing incredibly well before
8:42he went down. If you have no Evans here,
8:45George Kittle is an S tier tight end.
8:48They're just going to have to use so
8:50much Christian McCaffrey. Like we had a
8:52prediction on Polymarket US. I don't
8:56know if you all saw this earlier today.
8:58We posted it everywhere.
9:00Um and 99% of my predictions I get
9:02wrong, but we had actually finally had
9:04one correct.
9:07Where we took CMC to have over 21 points
9:10in this game. Um and the big reason was
9:13just all the injuries. We were expecting
9:14them to have to use McCaffrey um a ton.
9:18Let me see. What's the next game we
9:20have? The next game we have, you can see
9:21this on Polymarket US, is the Bears
9:24against the Patriots. Interesting to see
9:26the Bears have a 60% chance of winning
9:29this game here. Y'all know I'm going to
9:30be pulling for my guy Drake May.
9:32Obviously, if you want to check out any
9:34of these markets, you can find the link
9:35in the description, comment section,
9:37live chat. Code flock gets you $25 added
9:39to your account after you deposit your
9:41first 10.
9:42But, the expectations with all these
9:45injuries to guys like Deebo Samuel,
9:47Christian Kirk,
9:49uh Ricky Pearsall, is that they're just
9:50going to have to lean on Christian
9:51McCaffrey so much as a receiver,
9:53especially with Evans banged up now. And
9:55you do get the 10 targets for McCaffrey.
9:57He's a locked and loaded RB1. George
9:59Kittle's a locked and loaded elite tight
10:00end with no Mike Evans as well. I think
10:02Brock Purdy takes a slight hit
10:04downwards.
10:05Um and then if we go over and look at
10:07the interesting waiver wire pickups,
10:09it'd be very difficult to set your
10:12target on one wide receiver in San
10:14Francisco um specifically. I think that
10:17there are a bunch of other wide
10:19receivers that
10:24Like you can look at Jordan Watkins, you
10:25can look at Brandon I think it may be
10:26Christian Kirk. Christian Kirk got
10:28elevated off the IR. I thought he was
10:29actually going to play in this game and
10:31Christian Kirk ended up missing.
10:33But, if I had to play a Niners receiver
10:36next week, it probably would be
10:39Christian Kirk, but I think there's so
10:40much uncertainty of who's actually going
10:41to get used. It's really just going to
10:43be Kittle, McCaffrey going insane, and
10:45then who knows.
10:47And then
10:50if we go over and look at what we have
10:51with Keelan Cole, he's just the handcuff
10:53running back, but
10:55the big thing is just the injuries that
10:57we have to Terry McLaurin, who looks
10:59like he's out for the season, the injury
11:01to Mike Evans, where we are being told
11:03that the Achilles is intact.
11:07And the hope is that Mike Evans will be
11:10back the week after the bye week. The
11:12Niners have a week eight bye, so you get
11:14Mike Evans back in week nine.
11:18But, I think that's all I have for this
11:20live stream. I really hope you were able
11:22to dodge some of the injuries that came
11:24out today. Obviously, there were a lot
11:26of big ones. I'm going to be officially
11:29recording my waiver wire video that's
11:30going to come out tomorrow morning. I
11:32wanted to make sure that um um we saw
11:35the usage to the running backs in
11:37Washington. Wanted to make sure I didn't
11:38miss anything in this game. And thank
11:40God that I did not record that waiver
11:42wire video early because yeah, there
11:44will be some players that we need to
11:46talk about that are interesting from
11:47these offenses. So, please just make
11:50sure you are subscribed if you haven't
11:53already.
11:54And yeah, I really appreciate you. I'm
11:56going to be live tomorrow, the next day,
11:57the next day, the next day, the next
11:59day, the next day answering your fantasy
12:01football questions. And hopefully I get
12:03to see you in one of those
