0:00I have so much fun watching clips from
0:02training camp, but I'm going to be
0:03honest, a lot of the news pieces that
0:05get put out that people get excited
0:07about, it's junk, right? Well, I love
0:10seeing my guy Tedo McMillan have a
0:12highlight grab. It shouldn't impact how
0:14you change your fantasy football
0:16rankings. But there are golden little
0:19tidbits that we do need to monitor that
0:21we do need to utilize when we are
0:22updating our rankings, such as injury
0:25news, such as coach speak regarding
0:28running back adept charts, and lastly,
0:30of course, free agent signing. So, I
0:32want to go through all the biggest stuff
0:34in training camp right now and talk
0:36about how it has updated my rankings.
0:38Starting with something that came out a
0:40week ago at this point. So, we're going
0:41to be brief. Obviously, if you haven't
0:43seen by now, Malik Neighbors is looking
0:46great. Malik Neighbors is looking
0:48healthy. I mean, he dipped down in
0:50baseball drafts to where he was a
0:51fourthround pick in drafts a few weeks
0:54back where now all of a sudden people
0:56are drafting him at the two three turn
0:58with confidence as he's out there
1:00running with what looks like full speed.
1:02He dodged the pup list and now it looks
1:05like he's on track to play week one. So,
1:08no, we're going to be brief. You
1:09probably already know this, but
1:10Neighbors is actually a much safer pick
1:13than he looked like he was a month ago.
1:15Now, moving over to bad injury updates.
1:18the 49ers injuries through five
1:20practices. We have Mike Evans with the
1:22quad, Deshawn Stribbling with the
1:24hamstring, Ricky Pierol out for this
1:26season, Christian Kirk with the calf,
1:28Jordan James with the rib, Kayn Black
1:31with the abductor, and then some players
1:32on the defensive side of the ball that
1:34we don't need to discuss. But actually,
1:36I was going to be quick to overlook the
1:38running back injuries in this backfield
1:40before we actually had a Khalil Herbert
1:44signing to San Francisco, which of
1:46course, I mean, it's not going to impact
1:48McCaffrey. But what it does indicate is
1:51the running back depth pieces with Black
1:53as well as Jordan James. Those injuries
1:56are going to be something we need to
1:57continue to monitor over the coming
1:59weeks. And if those guys miss an
2:01extended period of time, Christian
2:02McAffrey could realistically be in line
2:05for another 400 touch season if he is
2:08able to stay healthy. Now, the Mike
2:10Evans quad injury and the Deshawn
2:11Stribbling hamstring, that stuff doesn't
2:13look like it is too too serious, but of
2:15course, especially as we look at Mike
2:17Evans, the wide receiver in his 30s
2:20coming off an injury riddled season, it
2:22is going to be incredibly important to
2:23make sure that we get positive injury
2:25news with them over the next week or
2:27two, that they're back at practice, that
2:29they are 100%. Because I'm going to be
2:31honest, I have moved Mike Evans down
2:33from being a fourth round pick in my
2:34rankings to a fifth with this injury
2:37popping up on the radar. But Ricky Palt
2:39being out for the season does mean that
2:41Debo Samuel is an enticing late round
2:44pickup. Better pick in best baseball in
2:46my opinion than your regular reddraft
2:47league though because I don't
2:48necessarily know what the true ceiling
2:50looks like. Now going over to Atlanta,
2:52we have an update with the quarterback
2:54battle according to Ian Rapaort. The
2:56quote is the way it's tracking you
2:58likely have Tua as the week one starter
3:00with Penn getting back to full health.
3:03So, I know that some people want to make
3:05some dramatic statements of how the
3:07Atlanta Falcons offense should be this
3:09year in comparison to last, but if we go
3:11through and look at the sportsbook data,
3:13um, sports books are actually projecting
3:15out Atlanta to be about the same to
3:17slightly better. They just gave a
3:19massive extension to Bean Robinson. That
3:22doesn't change where Bejian's ranked for
3:23me. He was the 102 before this. He's the
3:26102 after this. But I'm not going to be
3:28that concerned with Tua being the
3:29starting quarterback for Atlanta because
3:31again that Sportsbook data is telling us
3:33it's going to remain about the same
3:34offense as it was. Now moving over to
3:37stuff that I know people get ecstatic to
3:41see that I don't think matters that that
3:44much. Ben Johnson said Luther Burden's
3:47destiny is to be one of the best wide
3:49receivers in the league and compared him
3:51to Amra St. Brown. Keep in mind Ben
3:53Johnson was the offensive coordinator in
3:55Detroit where you had the Aman Ross St.
3:57Brown emergence and Jarvis Landry. So I
4:01know this has a lot of people steaming
4:03Luther Burton up and crowning Luther
4:05Burton as the next guy in Chicago. But
4:08for me personally, this kind of coach
4:10speak doesn't move the needle nearly as
4:12much as a coach coming out and saying,
4:15"Okay, this is what our running back
4:17depth chart looks like." Or, "Okay,
4:18here's the injury update that we have
4:20with Mike Evans." So, if you go over to
4:22flockfantasy.com, you will have seen
4:24that I actually didn't update my own
4:26rankings with Luther Burton at all with
4:28this. Um, Luther Burden I have as a
4:31target if you're drafting in ESPN where
4:33he goes in the fifth round, but I
4:35actually have him as an avoid if you're
4:37drafting on like Sleeper where you'd
4:39have to take him at the beginning of the
4:41fourth. Now, of course, if you want
4:43custom draft sheets for your exact
4:45league platform and the exact league
4:47settings that you play on, those are
4:49available with the flockfantasy.com
4:51season pass, that season pass is still
4:53only $34. And it gets you access to all
4:56the real-time draft assistance for your
4:57reddraft leagues, the custom draft
4:59sheets, the trade calculator, the my
5:02teams page, the weekly and rest of
5:04season rankings throughout the entire
5:06season. Links in the description and
5:07comment section. And if you sign up with
5:09code flock, you're also going to get
5:10free start sit questions and trade
5:12questions you can ask me during the
5:14season. But let's move over to some
5:17running back usage stuff where this does
5:19make a difference in my mind. Head coach
5:21more on Travis CTN and Alvin Kamar's
5:24usage. These guys can play a number of
5:26snaps together. They can play
5:27separately. Obviously got to run the
5:29ball better. So those guys are going to
5:31help lead it. So you've actually seen
5:33once Alvin Kamara restructured his deal
5:36to stay in New Orleans. And now we are
5:38getting these reports coming out that
5:40Kamara is going to be running alongside
5:42ETN. Travis ETN has fallen down from
5:45being a third round pick in fantasy
5:46drafts to now on most platforms he's
5:49going in the fourth. The expert average
5:51rankings on flock fantasy.com have him
5:53at pick 45. In sleeper drafts he goes to
5:56the three four turn. ESPN he's an early
5:59fourth. Yahoo he's a mid4th. And even in
6:02those basketball drafts, he has fallen
6:04down to being a early fourth round pick
6:07as well. Now, moving over to RG Harvey's
6:10update. I personally have been drafting
6:13a decent amount of R.J. Harvey this
6:14year. And we actually have Shawn Peyton
6:16saying that R.J. Harvey will certainly
6:18be in the position to be the Broncos
6:20third down running back. In my opinion,
6:22this is another one of those updates
6:24where it actually matters because if we
6:26look at the deployment of this running
6:28back depth chart, you have JK Dobbins
6:30who can very clearly be the first and
6:32second down grinder. You have RJ Harvey
6:34where maybe he goes through, slides in
6:36on third downs, and then Jonah Coleman
6:39is the jack of all trades that could go
6:40through and play either position if you
6:43were to have an injury to the guy in
6:44front of him. But with that in mind, who
6:47would I want in this backfield? I
6:49probably want RJ Harvey if he already
6:52has the receiving role unlock and has
6:55the upside to get goal line usage as
6:57well because if JK Dobbins instead is
7:00seeing the first and second down touches
7:02in between the 20 yardd lines, those
7:04touches have empty calories. They're not
7:06going to lead to a ton of fantasy points
7:08the way that the receptions on third
7:10down and the goal line role would have
7:12as well. We already talked about the
7:13Denver Broncos having the best offensive
7:15line in the league right now. If you
7:17look at where R.J. Harvey is getting
7:19drafted in your sleeper drafts, it's
7:21honestly tough to take him there. He's
7:22going off the board at an average pick
7:24of 68, but he goes at pick 100 or later
7:27on ESPN and Yahoo, and you're reasonably
7:30able to take him as your fifth running
7:32back in some of these drafts. So, I love
7:34the RJ Harvey pick if you're able to get
7:36him after pick 100. Um, because again,
7:39you're pricing in a lot of aggression
7:41for him, even though that's not
7:43inherently a guarantee. Now, I know I
7:45talk a lot about running back usage
7:48mattering in training camp and this
7:49actually impacting my personal rankings,
7:52so maybe I'm gonna be a hypocrite here,
7:55but the Tyler Algier report where Alier
7:57has gotten the majority of the carries
7:58with the first team offense through
7:59eight days of training camp. Um,
8:01Jeremiah Love got the remaining reps. I
8:03hate to say it, this isn't that big of a
8:06deal for me. And again, maybe this is me
8:08being a hypocrite, but what we see year
8:11in and year out will be coaching staffs
8:14leaning on the veteran, right? Allowing
8:16the veteran to be the guy at the
8:18beginning of camp, making the rookie
8:20earn the role, making the rookie expand
8:22his role as camp, preseason, and the
8:25early part of the regular season um
8:27progress. And with Jeremiah Love, given
8:29the fact that he was the number three
8:31overall pick in the NFL draft, I think
8:33that he is going to be the featured down
8:35running back here for the Arizona
8:36Cardinals, even with the reported usage
8:38of Tyler Algier. So, my biggest concern
8:41with Love is the fact that the Arizona
8:43Cardinals project to be garbage. Not
8:45necessarily that Tyler Algier is getting
8:48work at camp. I don't think this going
8:49to be a committee. Now, going over to
8:51what we got today, um Zay Flowers gets a
8:54massive extension in Baltimore. Maybe if
8:56you wanted to use this as a tiebreaker
8:58and say, I mean, come on, Mason. They
9:00just gave this dude $140 million. Of
9:03course, they're going to plan on
9:04featuring him. You should take him in
9:05round three over T. Higgins. Sure, if
9:08you wanted to use it as a tiebreaker
9:09piece of information, you can do that.
9:11But for me, this doesn't change who's on
9:13the Baltimore Ravens team. It doesn't
9:14change the talent that Z Flowers is. So,
9:17I'm not going to be making any dramatic
9:19changes with my rankings based on an
9:21extension that a player gets. So, I
9:24think that this is one of those stories
9:25that gets super big on Twitter, gets a
9:28lot of traction, but doesn't matter
9:29ultimately for fantasy. Very similar to
9:31the Bejian extension. Now, something
9:33that will matter, and I actually do have
9:35to update my rankings with is going to
9:37be Aaron Glenn told reporters that
9:39rookie tight end Kenyan Sadi suffered a
9:41little setback to the offseason hernia
9:43surgery he had. He will now miss some
9:45time, but Glenn is still confident that
9:47Sadique will be ready for the regular
9:49season opener. So, I was actually mixing
9:51in a lot of Kenyan Sadi in baseball
9:53drafts late. I was looking at a really
9:55strong athlete, right? This is a guy
9:57that went round one in the NFL draft and
9:59I was willing to ignore the fact that he
10:01was a New York Jet and probably the
10:02third to fourth option in his offense.
10:05Well, now this just puts a wet blanket
10:07on that situation because as a rookie
10:09missing this amount of time, we have to
10:11assume that he's going to start slow
10:12with his role. It's not like he's going
10:14to be playing a ton of snaps week one.
10:16So in your ESPN, in your Yahoo drafts, I
10:19would almost cross Kenyan Sadika off the
10:21board entirely and then just have him as
10:24an interesting waiverwire pickup if you
10:25are able to get him. Now moving over to
10:29Chicago, this is something to monitor. I
10:32mean, it's not a massive massive update
10:36until we get some additional news, but
10:39Bears head coach Ben Johnson told
10:41reporters that Kyle Manungai is dealing
10:42with a soft tissue injury. We're taking
10:44it day by day. it should be on the
10:46shorter side. So, this is just something
10:48again to make sure you're monitoring
10:50next week. Does Kyle Manungai go back to
10:52practice with no problems? And then in
10:54that case, literally nothing has
10:56changed. He just missed the week of
10:57practice. But very similar to the Kenyan
10:59Sadiq situation, if we have any
11:01complications with this soft tissue
11:03injury that we don't have a lot of
11:05information with right now, that could
11:06be a massive boom to DeAndre Swift and
11:08his job security and then obviously
11:11lower the probability that Kyle Manungai
11:13wins this starting job. But at the end
11:16of the day, we don't have enough
11:17information to make conclusions on that
11:18right now. Just something to monitor.
11:20Now, Bucky Irving at practice is getting
11:23the majority of work right now, which I
11:24don't necessarily think that matters too
11:26much in terms of predicting out the
11:28usage between Bucky Irving and Kenneth
11:30Gainwell. But what it is good for is
11:32it's good to know that Bucky Irving is
11:34healthy. Because if y'all remember about
11:36two months back, we had the report
11:38coming out of Tampa where they were
11:39saying he's going to be good sometime
11:41during the summer or the fall. and you
11:43hear that and you're like, what is he
11:45going to be good in October? Like, what
11:47does the fall mean? But the fact that
11:49he's at camp, he's out there practicing
11:50with no serious problems does mean that
11:53Bucky Irving is probably a safer pick to
11:55make him round five than he previously
11:56was. And you can go through and you can
11:59move him up in that massive tier of
12:01running backs that you have with guys
12:02like Trevian Henderson. And keep in
12:04mind, we did just get an update with
12:06Trevon Henderson as somebody who's been
12:08drafting a considerable amount of him.
12:10It does concern me. The reports are that
12:12he is still struggling with pass
12:13production. And that's what's going to
12:15lead to Raadre Stevenson keeping this
12:17starting job if he does do just that.
12:20Because obviously, at least in my
12:22opinion, Trevon Henderson is the more
12:24dynamic running back, the more explosive
12:25running back. You have bigger play
12:27upside if you decide to lean on Trevian
12:29in comparison to AADER if you're the
12:31Patriots. But Trevon may not get that
12:33opportunity if he can't get the passing
12:36down roll locked with that pass blocking
12:38ability. Now, Tucker Craft looks like he
12:41is recovering extremely well from the
12:43torn ACL. So, I actually think it's a
12:45safe thing to say to move Tucker Craft
12:47up your rankings. Now, moving over to
12:50Devonte Smith and Mai Lemon. Very
12:52similar to Kyle Bengai. I don't want you
12:54to make any massive adjustments, but
12:56both are currently dealing with
12:57hamstring injuries. That is going to be
12:59something to continue to monitor. Um,
13:01Parker Washington has been getting a ton
13:03of buzz coming out of Jags camp. Every
13:06single day we are getting reports that
13:08Parker Washington looks like the best
13:10guy blah blah blah. Again, for me going
13:13back to it, what I care about in camp,
13:16injury updates, running back usage. I
13:18don't necessarily care to see beat
13:21reporters saying this guy looks great.
13:24We hear that every single off season,
13:26right? So for me, maybe I'm being
13:29stubborn here. I still am not bought in
13:31on Parker Washington being a solid sixth
13:33round pick. I have him ranked as a
13:35seventh round selection which obviously
13:38in some of your drafts he will fall
13:39there and you are able to take him.
13:41Quick side note, I actually just made a
13:43bet with somebody in the flock league
13:45that Ted McMillan scores more points
13:47than Parker Washington this year which I
13:49think is just absolute free money. So
13:50I'm very excited about that. Now moving
13:53over to our next update, we are going to
13:55have the commanders monitoring the
13:57Stefon Diggs situation and potentially
14:00looking to bring Stefon Diggs into
14:03Washington. This would be absolutely
14:04massive for Jaden Daniels. I think Diggs
14:06would be a serious step forward over the
14:09best wide receiver too that they have
14:11right now, which may be Antonio
14:12Williams. And also, I think this would
14:15make them lean on the tight end position
14:16with Chig a little bit less. I really
14:19don't know how much it would impact
14:20Terry McLaren specifically. I just think
14:22those second and third receiving options
14:25in Washington would be worse, but Jaden
14:27Daniels would be less and Stefon Diggs
14:29would be very exciting as a commander.
14:31And then the next thing we need to
14:33discuss will be the update that we have
14:35with Katon Mitchell. The quote that we
14:37have from offensive coordinator McDaniel
14:39says, "He's a matchup issue for every
14:41defense. I think he has a lot of pass
14:44game value that he hasn't been able to
14:45really represent in his career, but it's
14:48showing so far in camp. Keep in mind
14:50this is the same coach that when he went
14:52to Los Angeles printed out a photo of
14:55Katon Mitchell, put it on the wall and
14:58put wanted underneath. He called his
15:01shot. This is the guy that he wants. I
15:03am still betting on Amari and Hampton. I
15:05still think Hampton is an incredible
15:07round two pick. But Katon Mitchell may
15:09be one of those handcuffs in the later
15:11rounds that if Amari Hampton were to go
15:13down, Katon Mitchell could be a league
15:15winner behind a much improved offensive
15:17line with a good coaching staff and
15:18obviously he has a ton of athleticism.
15:22But I think that's all we got for the
15:23updates in this video. Of course, I'm
15:25going to be streaming every single night
15:27giving you additional updates as things
15:28drop that matter. And if you have not
