Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection7:22

Mayfield is a big rebound candidate against his former team Cleveland in week two. His week one performance was mixed: he completed 82% of passes (15.4% over expected) and rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown, but the Buccaneers lost four fumbles in the game (Mayfield lost three, Bucky Irving lost one), which was the first time since 2014 with Josh McCown and Mike Glennon. The source expects this fumble rate will not repeat, making Mayfield a strong start.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeInjury0:15

Brock Bowers suffered an injury in Week 1 that impacted fantasy rosters; the source notes Trevor Sikkema 'dealt with the Brock Bowers injury,' indicating a notable setback for the tight end.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection6:42

Young has been quietly breaking out since late last year in tandem with Jalen Coker. Since mid-November, Young is averaging more than 19 fantasy points a game, which is sixth among quarterbacks, better than Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts. He has been more aggressive and made fewer mistakes, resulting in 230 passing yards a game, 15 touchdowns, and just five picks. The breakout started with an overtime thriller in Atlanta where he threw for 448 yards, three touchdowns, and 31 fantasy points. The source recommends starting him this week and looking for an encore.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeUsage8:00

Irving lost a fumble in week one as part of the Buccaneers' four-fumble game, the first time since 2014. While this was an anomaly, it contributed to several points being taken off the board for Tampa Bay's offense in week one.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeProjection12:02

Caleb Williams was identified as one of the offensive leaders in week one alongside Derrick Henry. The source indicates that Chase Daskalos will provide analysis on who could be leading the charge in week two, suggesting Williams is part of the ongoing week-to-week evaluation.

Insight page

Cam Akers

PositiveProjection29:07

The source makes a bold prediction that Cam Akers will have a monster game in Week 2 against the Cowboys on Monday night. The source notes Akers 'continues to thrive,' citing his performance against the 49ers and physicality shown against the Rams defense. The source projects 100 yards and 2 touchdowns, noting he has been 'automatic' with double-digit points in every game since his NFL debut in Week 1 last season.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeMatchup6:15

CeeDee Lamb failed to make an impact in Week 1 as the Cowboys offense was shut down by the Giants defense, limiting his fantasy production in that matchup.

Insight page
PositiveProjection30:20

The source expects CeeDee Lamb to have a big day in Week 2 against Washington. The source cites Washington's inconsistent secondary as a favorable matchup for the Cowboys offense to bounce back.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection4:10

Chris Alave dominated Week 1 with 13 targets, 10 catches, and over 180 receiving yards against the Detroit Lions, proving he can still produce at an elite level even when defenses key in on him as the primary receiving threat in the Saints offense.

Insight page

Cooper Kupp

NegativeRole5:25

Cooper Kupp ran the second most routes on the Rams in Week 1 but failed to produce fantasy points, indicating that despite high snap involvement, the majority of production in the offense flows to Puka Nacua and Jalen Jibbar. Without touchdown luck, Kupp's fantasy relevance is questionable in this offense.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveProjection30:20

The source predicts Dak will 'ball out' in Week 2 against Washington. The source notes Washington's corners are 'really skeptical' and unpredictable week-to-week, setting up a favorable matchup for the Cowboys offense to bounce back after Week 1.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveProjection10:16

The source is starting Montgomery versus the Bengals after his three-touchdown outing against Buffalo in week one. Houston reached the red zone five times in week one (tied for most by any team), which is extremely good news for Montgomery's scoring potential since he scores the majority of his points in the red zone. Dating back to last year, Cincinnati has allowed the most fantasy points to running backs. While the source doesn't project Montgomery as an RB1 all season, he will be an RB1 for at least one more week.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

NegativeProjection12:02

Derrick Henry was identified as one of the offensive leaders in week one. The source indicates that Chase Daskalos will provide analysis on who could be leading the charge in week two, suggesting Henry is part of the ongoing week-to-week evaluation.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeBust4:50

George Pickens' inconsistency was on full display in Week 1, with multiple drops that significantly impacted the Steelers offense. Despite his talent to win weeks, the drops and inconsistency define his profile and limit his fantasy reliability.

Insight page
PositiveProjection30:20

The source expects George Pickens to have a big bounce-back week in Week 2 against Washington. The source notes Pickens was 'a little bit of a dud' in Week 1 but expects him to rebound alongside Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb as the Cowboys offense improves.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveProjection6:49

Coker is fantasy's current top scoring receiver and has been in tandem with Bryce Young's breakout since late last year, contributing to Young's sixth-ranked quarterback scoring average of 19+ fantasy points per game since mid-November.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper22:28

Coker is a waiver wire target with 9 targets and 8 receptions in Week 1 on 34 routes run. The source emphasizes the key factor is his chemistry with Bryce Young rather than expecting identical volume; Young 'was carving up zone defenses left and right' and Coker's versatile usage (sideline, double moves, over the middle) suggests higher targets are likely every week. The source recommends adding him and seriously considering starting him in Week 2 against Atlanta.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection28:40

The source references Jalen Hurts as part of a hot take discussion, noting Chase made reference to him earlier in the show and the source expects him to have a monster game in Week 2.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeRole10:54

The source is sitting Love despite acknowledging his talent, citing two concerns: (1) he was out-snapped and out-carried by Tyler Algier in week one, which could indicate maintenance for Love's ankle but raises pause; (2) he faces Seattle, which crushed New England's ground game in week one and has been extremely tough against running backs since last year—no running back has scored 17+ fantasy points in a game against the Hawks since week six, and the lead back in those 13 games has averaged only 10 fantasy points. The source states, 'I am not feeling the love' for week two.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection2:45

Josh Allen delivered elite dual-threat production in Week 1 with both rushing and passing production against one of the better defenses in the NFL. The source emphasizes that no matter where Allen was drafted, the performance exceeded expectations, and recommends going into any matchup with him fearlessly moving forward.

Insight page
PositiveProjection2:45

Josh Allen performed as expected in Week 1, validating his QB1 status across fantasy leagues; the source identifies him as a player 'who we thought he is,' confirming his elite tier projection.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection8:23

The source recommends benching Herbert this week, not because of his arm talent but because of the health of left tackle Lad McConkie, who is day-to-day with a rib injury. The Chargers offense was atrocious when McConkie was off the field in week one, and even if he returns, he will likely be limited. Additionally, the Raiders defense, which added N'Kobe Dean, Quay Walker, Quiddy Pay, and rookie Trayden Stukes at safety around Max Crosby, looked great in week one. The source suggests streaming other quarterbacks over Herbert.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveRole28:40

Kenneth Walker had a bigger impact in Week 1 than the source initially expected. The source notes there was much buzz about Walker helping the team get over the hump, and he was 'terrific' in the matchup, suggesting his role and production will be significant going forward.

Insight page

Parker Washington

NegativeProjection25:53

The source makes a bold prediction that Parker Washington will finish as a top 5 wide receiver against Denver in Week 2. Washington is officially the WR1 in Jacksonville, scored 19 fantasy points in the first quarter and a half of Week 1, led the team in target share and air yard share, and is the primary slot receiver who should avoid Pat Surtain. The source cites Week 16 last year when Washington caught 6 balls for 145 yards and a TD against Denver, finishing as WR3 overall that week.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveProjection27:23

The source projects Rasheed Rice as a top 10 (possibly top 5) wide receiver in Week 2 against the Colts. Rice had only 2 targets for 2 receptions and 19 yards plus a TD in Week 1, with 13 of 19 yards coming after the catch. The source expects a busier day because the Colts play a lot of man coverage; Rice should beat that coverage when not matched against Sauce Gardner, making him a key target for the Chiefs.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveUsage9:11

The source prefers Stevenson for receiving upside in PPR despite playing Seattle's elite defense; even against the Seahawks last Wednesday, Stevenson had five catches for 44 yards, demonstrating consistent pass-game involvement. If Henderson plays, Stevenson will have limited rushing usage but a strong shot at a B-tier fantasy performance anchored by receiving work.

Insight page
PositiveProjection9:14

Stevenson is a start against the Steelers in week two, regardless of whether Travion Henderson returns from his ankle injury. Although Stevenson was extremely inefficient on the ground against Seattle (the best defense in the league), the source is playing him for receiving upside in PPR. Even against the Seahawks, he had five catches for 44 yards. B. John Robinson, who played Pittsburgh, had eight catches for 90 yards and a touchdown, suggesting strong receiving opportunity against the Steelers.

1:53Welcome to the NFL Fantasy Football Show. I'm Mike Yam and it's my guy, Trevor Sikkema.
1:59Trevor, look, not everyone can be 1-0 in their fantasy leagues like me or 0-1 like you.
2:04Oh, come on. Come on. You knew it was going to happen.
2:08I had to do it. It's only week one, right?
2:11That's the advice that we give everyone. It's only one week.
2:15Guys get hurt. However, you actually did deal with the Brock Bowers injury.
2:19So I know that's not easy to do. But nonetheless, man, if you like some points, we got some this week.
2:25I wasn't even playing you this week. You didn't have to go after me like that.
2:31Come on. So now I know. Now I know when it's me and you.
2:35It's on. This show is going to be must-watch TV when I face off against you in our league.
2:41Yeah, the problem is I probably wasted the bullet at this point because it might just be totally downhill for me the rest of the way.
2:49So I was able to get the comment in while I can.
2:53But I made reference to it. Like if you like points, week one just delivered in such a meaningful way.
3:00A 14-year week one record officially matched, tying the most points scored in a week one in NFL history.
3:06Almost 49 and a half points per game is what we saw.
3:10Almost 50 points. I think it was actually 49.4.
3:13So combined points in the game, that's exactly how I thought it was going to play out.
3:18But all right, tell me some guys right now who, give me two players that are who we thought they are.
3:25We have to start with Josh Allen, right? I mean like Josh Allen, he would have been your QB one in every single league.
3:32There's always the conversation. How early do you take a quarterback?
3:36Well, however early you took Josh Allen, wherever you took him in your draft, you couldn't have been happier than what we saw in this week one performance.
3:45You got the rushing production, the passing production. It was everything that you would have wanted to see from Superman, Josh Allen.
3:52And so for me, he has to be that they are who we thought they were in a good way from the quarterback position.
4:00Because again, no matter where you prioritized him, it couldn't have been better.
4:04And it was against one of the better defenses in the NFL.
4:08I'm a huge proponent of Josh Allen moving forward.
4:10You know, any matchup, you got to go into this pretty fearless.
4:14Chris Alave, what an absolute monster. I mean, the numbers were just bonkers for him.
4:19Yeah, he incredible as well. 13 targets, 10 catches over 180 receiving yards.
4:23Alave is the man. We already knew that going into the season.
4:27But I think the big question was with defenses keying in on him, you know, with him only the consistent legitimate headliner threat in that offense.
4:35Could he still eat or were defenses really going to key in on him?
4:40Well, he absolutely ate against the Detroit Lions. You love to see it.
4:44Yeah. All right. So two dudes who obviously got it done.
4:48Big name players on the flip side. Sometimes you get a couple duds that are out there.
4:53We sort of got that from some other players.
4:56Yeah. Unfortunately, I want to start with George Pickens here, who George Pickens can win you a week.
5:02You know, like that's how talented this guy is, but it's just too inconsistent.
5:06You see it on the screen there. The big drops that kind of made all the difference in the world for Dallas's offense.
5:14I mean, that's just a major issue for a player as talented as George Pickens.
5:18And so unfortunately, the inconsistencies with Pickens is what makes him who we thought he was.
5:24Yeah. And on the flip side, Cooper Cup, I almost feel like there's a little bit of an out for him because
5:31of the Darnold injury, but on the wrong side of this conversation.
5:34A little bit, but I think he's on the bad side of they are who we thought they were because he still
5:41ran the second most routes of any player on this team.
5:45And the production just wasn't there. So the playtime is going to be, but it's a lot of sort of what we've
5:52seen in the past where very clearly just the majority of the production is going to go to Jack Smith and Jibba in this offense.
6:00And unless you get, I don't want to call it necessarily lucky because Cooper Cup's the man and he creates these opportunities,
6:07but unless you get lucky with a Cooper Cup touchdown, I just don't know how fantasy relevant he's going to be for you in this offense.
6:15So unfortunately he was out there. He just didn't get the ball as much as you would have liked for him to.
6:22Yeah. By the way, one other note too, on the George Pickens side of things, I mean, C.D.
6:28Lamb also not exactly the impact that offense really was shut down by a Giants defense, which candidly, I think is going
6:35to raise or bring a smile to every Giants fans face.
6:39For a little bit more. How about our guy, Matt Akata?
6:42Always good to have him on the show. NFL.com slash start sit.
6:46We two starts and sits right now. Matt, break this down for me.
6:50It's always great to have you on the show.
6:53When I think about dudes that need to be in this lineup, give me two quarterbacks that you got to make sure you're playing this week.
7:02Yeah, absolutely. I'm starting with Bryce Young. He has been kind of quietly breaking out since late last year in tandem with
7:09fantasy's current top scoring receiver, Jalen Coker. Since mid-November, Young is averaging more than 19 fantasy points a game.
7:15That is sixth among quarterbacks, better than Joe Burrow, better than Jalen Hurts, among others.
7:19And he has simultaneously been more aggressive and made fewer mistakes.
7:23And that resulted in 230 passing yards a game, 15 touchdowns, just five picks.
7:27And the game that started this breakout yammer was the overtime thriller in Atlanta, where he threw for 448 yards, three touchdowns, top 31 fantasy points.
7:36So look for an encore this Sunday. And then I've got to take Baker Mayfield in the revenge game against Cleveland.
7:43Look, his week one performance was kind of a tale of two tales.
7:47On one hand, he completed 82% of his passes.
7:50That's 15.4% over expected and rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown.
7:53But on the other hand, he lost three fumbles and Bucky Irving lost a fourth, which took a ton of yards and
8:00probably several points off the board for Tampa Bay.
8:03The last time the Bucs lost four fumbles in a game yammer was 2014 with Josh McCown and Mike Glennon.
8:10It's not happening again in week two. So Mayfield is a big rebound candidate against his former team.
8:16Yeah, I think a lot of us did not anticipate a performance like that from not only Baker Mayfield, but this offense as well.
8:23I'm a little surprised here. Justin Herbert, as big of an arm as there is in the NFL.
8:29I know week one wasn't pretty, but you say park him on the bench.
8:33Yeah, this is less about Justin Herbert, to be honest.
8:37It's more about the health of Lad McConkie, who's currently day-to-day with a rib injury.
8:41Trevor actually had a great post after Sunday's game that highlighted how much worse the Chargers offense was when Lad was off the field in week one.
8:50It was atrocious. And even if Lad is back, I think he'll probably be limited.
8:55Plus, don't look now, but I kind of like this Raiders defense who added N'Kobe Dean, Quay Walker, Quiddy Pay, rookie Trayden
9:02Stukes at safety, all around Max Crosby this past offseason.
9:05They all looked great in week one. I think there are several other quarterbacks worth streaming over Justin Herbert.
9:11Yeah, by the way, I love that note. Trevor actually told us about some of that stuff on game day preview.
9:18Don't forget, during the course of the week here on the NFL channel, we got our pregame shows on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.
9:25Trevor obviously was a part of that over the weekend.
9:29What about some running backs, man? Give me two names that have to be in the lineup.
9:34Yeah, I'm starting Ramondre Stevenson against the Steelers, whether or not Travion Henderson returns from his ankle injury, which currently sounds possible.
9:41And look, Stevenson was extremely inefficient on the ground against Seattle.
9:45But I frankly don't care for two reasons. One, it's Seattle, who's probably the best defense in the league.
9:51Two, I am playing Stevenson for the receiving upside in PPR.
9:54Even against the Seahawks, he had five catches for 44 yards last Wednesday.
9:58And B. John Robinson, who played Pittsburgh, had eight catches for 90 yards and a touchdown.
10:03So if Henderson plays, I think you'll see limited usage.
10:07And Stevenson will have a great shot at a sort of B.
10:10John light fantasy performance. And then I'm actually starting two, quote unquote, plodding runners against ASU North opponents.
10:16Give me David Montgomery versus the Bengals coming off his three touchdown outing against Buffalo.
10:21Houston reached the red zone five times in week one.
10:24That was tied for the most by any team.
10:27That is extremely good news for Montgomery and his fantasy managers, because that is where he is going to score the majority of his points.
10:35Plus, dating back to last year, since he has allowed the most fantasy points to running backs.
10:41I don't think he'll be an RB1 all season, but Montgomery will be an RB1 for at least one more week.
10:47By the way, on my squad, a big reason why I was able to win was because Montgomery finding that end zone.
10:54Jeremiah Love, you really sitting this dude? Yeah, listen, he's very talented.
10:58So this is risky. But he was also out snapped and out carried by Tyler Algier in week one.
11:04Now, that could have been a little bit of maintenance for Love's ankle, but it already gives me pause.
11:10And then he's playing the Seahawks, who I just talked about.
11:14They crushed New England's ground game last week, and they have been extremely tough against this position since last year.
11:20No running back Yammer has scored 17 fantasy points in a game against the Hawks since week six.
11:26And the lead back in those 13 games has only averaged 10 fantasy points.
11:31So, sadly, for now, I am not feeling the love.
11:34Dark side defense creating some nightmares for fantasy owners and certainly the running backs that are going to go and try to produce.
11:41We've got some more starting sits. In fact, we're going to hit up the wide receiver spot.
11:47Not to mention we are going to be chasing some points on the board.
11:51Chase Daskalos is going to be joining us. We'll get his take on every position and who could be leading the charge.
11:58We know there was an offensive explosion. Caleb Williams, Derrick Henry leading the way in week one.
12:04Who are those guys in week two? Chase has got that answer coming up.
12:08Hey, our ride's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes.

14:54Welcome back to the show. If you owned any of these players, you probably won your week.
14:59Highest fantasy scorers by position. Caleb Williams leading the pack at the quarterback spot.
15:04Derek Henry delivered in that backfield. Jalen Coker, a little bit of a surprise to see him on this list.
15:10Isaiah Likely, that connection with Jackson Dart, really effective.
15:13And then the Bengals. I mean, McPherson, 19 fantasy points for him in that Bengals defense.
15:18Much maligned in the last few years. Getting it done.
15:22Time for Earn Your Sunday, presented by Lowe's. Chase Daskalos is with us, back on the show.
15:27Chase, it's awesome to have you back with us.
15:30I need you to look inside your crystal ball, because we just showed the top fantasy players by position.
15:36Quarterback and running back. Week two, who's delivering? Who's going to be on that list for us?
15:41So, Jalen Hurts was very quietly the quarterback eight in week one, and he did it nearly all through the air.
15:4881% of his fantasy points was from passing production.
15:51This is shocking, but guess who doesn't have a single rushing touchdown since week 12 of last season?
15:57Jalen Hurts. He's due for multiple scores on the ground, and he gets a great matchup against a very soft Titans defense in week two.
16:05At running back, I feel like I'm taking the easy way out here, Yam, but after watching what the Bears did to
16:12the Panthers on the ground in week one, how can I not say Bijan Robinson?
16:17He has incredible rushing upside in this matchup, plus we saw 10 targets, eight receptions, 90 receiving yards from him in week one.
16:24Yeah, delivering for fantasy owners. By the way, I love that call on Jalen Hurts, because we saw what Geno Smith looked like against the Titans defense.
16:33Something tells me Hurts is going to deliver. Pass catchers for me.
16:36Give me a wide receiver. Give me a tight end.
16:40Who do you like? Yeah, so Chris Olave, he's averaged 21 fantasy points per game and 10 targets per game over his
16:47last eight games with Tyler Shuck, a quarterback. He had a league high 235 air yards in week one.
16:53He turned that into 10 catches for 182 yards, but didn't find the end zone.
16:58I think Olave scores multiple touchdowns this week in a shootout with the Ravens.
17:02At the tight end position, all right, this is where I'm going bold, and I'm going worst to first because Colston Loveland
17:09scored zero fantasy points in week one against the Panthers, but he led the entire team in routes run.
17:15We know how explosive this Bears offense is. If they're forced to go more through the air against a tough Vikings rush
17:22defense, the pass game could funnel through him. All right, bonus round tier kicker defense.
17:27You got a name for me? Yeah, let's go Cam Little in the thin air in Denver.
17:33And how about the Eagles pass rush against a Titans offensive line that can't protect Cam Ward?
17:38Oh, I like that. Doubling down on the Philadelphia Eagles who would be looking to go 2-0 after that week one win against the Commanders.
17:46Chase, you're the best, Matt. Always great to have you on the show with us.
17:51All right, we'll shift our attention back to the starts and sits.
17:55NFL.com's Matt Akata. Once again, you can check it out.
17:58NFL.com slash start sit. We went through some positions, but we didn't get to the wide receiver.
18:03So give me two guys that you need to make sure are in your lineup.
18:08Yeah, listen. Listen, I was concerned about the soft tissue injuries in the age and the 20-25 regression for Mike Evans.
18:15Through one week, yeah, I'm taking the loss on this one.
18:18Evans looked great in Melbourne. He was a menace on third downs.
18:22He snagged a vintage. I'm bigger and stronger than you touched down from the goal line that we just saw.
18:29Plus, Dijon Stripling is now out and George Kittle is still working back to full health.
18:34So Evans is the clear king of this passing attack, which is led by Kyle Shanahan and Brock Purdy.
18:40That is a very dangerous combo for fantasy. I think until further notice, Evans is must-start material.
18:45And that definitely includes week two against Miami. And then, fortunately for me, because as wrong as I was about Evans last
18:52week, I was right about Terry McLaurin. He looked like an afterthought in Washington's offense against Philly.
18:58And Stephon Diggs is the guy who stepped up into the wide receiver one role in his stead.
19:0331% target share, 33% air yards share. That translated to 15.5 fantasy points for Diggs.
19:08And in week two, he draws a juicy matchup with the Cowboys, who have allowed the most fantasy points to the position since the start of last season.
19:17This is projected to be the second highest scoring game of the entire week, Yammer.
19:22And I want pieces wherever I can get them.
19:25So Diggs is the guy. Yeah, not to mention a couple drops for him in that game.
19:30And something tells me just knowing that Diggs is going to try to deliver in a big way.
19:36Big name player, DK Metcalf. Not exactly. You're saying, hey, send him in week number two.
19:41I'm not even sure what to do with him the rest of the season, based off of what I saw in week number one.
19:49But give me the reasoning for this week. Yeah, speaking of drops, look, Metcalf saw 10 targets in week one, which is encouraging.
19:56But he caught just four of them for 40 yards.
20:00And he did not look good or in sync with Aaron Rodgers.
20:03And that included one officially counted drop for Metcalf.
20:06But honestly, for this week, this has more to do with who he'll face on Sunday.
20:11History and data suggests that Metcalf will be heavily shadowed by Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who completely smothered him the last time they met back in 2024.
20:20So unless he has a big play on one of the snaps, he doesn't draw Gonzalez, a la Jackson Smith and Jigba last Wednesday.
20:28I think Metcalf posts another dud in week one, and there could be more to come in that realm.
20:34I'm a little hesitant right now with the Steelers offense, what I saw in week number one.
20:39And I know Aaron Rodgers has had some moments.
20:42The storylines aside here, I think there's going to be some massive concerns, which we will dissect over the next few weeks.
20:49NFL.com slash start sit. Matt, you're the best man.
20:52Always appreciate that insight. Your tight ends and your defenses.
20:55You can check out once again on NFL.com. It is one of my favorite times of this show, though.
21:01How about this? Sick flexes. Trevor Sikama has got me covered right now.
21:06Trevor, when I think about Devontae Adams, look, the Rams offense just struggled across the board down in Australia.
21:12But why is he a guy on your radar?
21:14Well, he's somebody who I think should be a strong consideration for flex plays because the pendulum has to swing the other
21:22way, honestly, with the Rams offense entirely. When you look at Adams, I know that he was, people say, a touchdown merchant last year rather than overall production.
21:30But he still ran just as many routes as Pukinokua did in week one.
21:35So to me, that showcases that this guy is going to be on the field.
21:40He's going to have his opportunities. And I still think they're going to emphasize him in the red zone.
21:46So it's not like they're only putting him on the field for red zone opportunities.
21:51To me, it's he's going to be on the field.
21:54And then he's just going to be an emphasis when it comes to those red zone opportunities.
21:59So for me, I think the Rams overall, it's a bounce back week for them.
22:04And I think that Adams is going to be involved in that bounce back.
22:095.6 points in week one. That is the seventh lowest number since 2017 for Devontae Adams.
22:14Wherever you took him, it wasn't to get 5.6 points in your starting lineup.
22:18And that is definitely potentially going to sink you.
22:21On the flip side, waiver wires. I think about a guy like Jalen Coker and what he was able to accomplish.
22:28The targets were their nine receptions. Excuse me, nine targets, eight receptions for him.
22:32He went bonkers here. It almost feels like you have to go and add this guy.
22:37Yeah, I mean, 34 routes run in week one.
22:40Now, you're going up against the Chicago Bears defense and also high-scoring offense.
22:44So I don't think he's going to run that many routes this upcoming week.
22:49But the most important thing to remember about Jalen Coker isn't necessarily the repeated volume that we got from week one.
22:56It's the repeated chemistry that he has with Bryce Young.
22:59And I thought Bryce looked really good. He was carving up zone defenses left and right.
23:04And I think that we're going to see plenty of that versus the Atlanta Falcons this week.
23:09And just, again, that chemistry is there. Bryce knows where to put the football to make sure that Jalen Coker can run
23:17under it, get his hands on it, wherever it was.
23:20At the sideline, double moves over the middle. Jalen Coker was everywhere.
23:24His usage is so versatile that I really do believe that higher targets, maybe not nine, but higher targets, are in the cards for him every single week.
23:33So if he's available in your league, yeah, go get him.
23:36And I seriously think about starting him this week.
23:39If you own Tett McMillan, are you worried right now?
23:42I'm not. No, and I think that Tett's kind of rolling through, putting on that extra weight and strength that he had
23:49this offseason where he said, hey, I want to get stronger.
23:53I want to be able to play up against press coverage and physical coverage a little bit better.
23:58So to me, he's still working through being a little bit heavier as well.
24:03So I think Tett will be totally fine. But I think both him and Coker are going to eat in this offense.
24:10All right, commanders in their backfield, Sha'Kory Kroski merit.
24:13What do I do? Because there's some, at least for me, I had some concerns about Washington and their offense coming into this season.
24:21But he's on your radar against the Cowboys. Yeah, I mean, he's the most explosive, right?
24:26And when you look at a defense of the Cowboys, it was as poor as it was against the Giants.
24:32I think you have to take a look at any opponent that they're playing up against.
24:37And when I look at Kroski merit, I went back and I watched that film for the Washington offense and just really went wrong.
24:45What went wrong? And the Eagles did not respect the commanders run game nearly enough.
24:50To me, that tells me that Washington's going to have to get it involved more.
24:55They're going to see that defenses are dropping too many players in coverage against them.
24:59And how do you counter that? Well, if it's a lighter box, run the football.
25:04Sha'Kory Kroski merit by far their most explosive back and the most explosive and dynamic option they have out of the backfield.
25:11And so to me, he is somebody to keep on the radar for this week because of how poor the Cowboys played
25:18last week and also the fact that it just has to be way better in the run game from Washington.
25:25Yeah, we've spent a lot of time talking about Christian Parker, the new D.C.
25:29for the Dallas Cowboys. Their defense against the Giants didn't look much improved despite the fact that we were talking about an
25:36overhaul, not just at the top there, but personnel-wise.
25:39Just a storyline. We get a little bit more of a data point with a Week 2 game against the Commanders.
25:46Time for hot takes. Matt, light me up, man.
25:49Give me a bold prediction of what we could see in Week 2.
25:53Oh, boy. Parker Washington. My love, my life, my fantasy crush.
25:56He is going to be a top 5 wide receiver against the Broncos secondary.
26:01Yeah, you heard me right. First off, let's be clear.
26:04Washington is officially the wide receiver one in Jacksonville.
26:07He scored 19 fantasy points in the first quarter and a half of Week 1, and then he essentially took the rest
26:14of the game off because the Jags were pummeling the Browns, but he still comfortably led the team in target share and air yard share.
26:22And importantly, Ammer, he is the primary slot receiver for Jacksonville, which means he should largely avoid Pat Sertan, just like he
26:29did against Denver in Week 16 last year when he caught six balls for 145 yards and a touchdown and finished as
26:36the wide receiver three overall on the week. It's happening again.
26:40I love Parker Washington. I get why he's your fantasy crush just based off of what he's been able to produce even
26:47going back to last season in this offense year two with Liam Colton and Trevor Lawrence still looking like he's cooking.
26:53Trevor Sykema, what do you got for me? I feel like I didn't go hot enough because you've got Parker Washington as a top 5 receiver.
27:02I thought Rasheed Rice as a top 10 wide receiver would be hot enough, but whether it's 10, 5, whatever it is
27:09for Rasheed Rice, I think that he is going to go off this upcoming week.
27:14And he only got two targets for two receptions, 19 yards.
27:17He had that touchdown, but 13 of those 19 yards came after the catch, as you can see on the screen there.
27:24And he's a much busier day for Rice because the Chiefs are going up against a Colts team that is trying to play a lot of man coverage.
27:33But outside of Sauce Gardner, the players that they're asking to play man coverage are not playing it well.
27:39So if he's matched up against Sauce, okay, it could be a tougher day for him.
27:44But man, anytime that he's going to get those non-Sauce Gardner matchups, I think Rasheed Rice is going to be that receiver
27:51that they go to to beat that man coverage.
27:54So I think he has really big potential this week.
27:57Top 10, maybe even top 5 if I've got a match, Matt, and how hot his take was.
28:03Trevor, you know what's crazy, man? Just watching this team, I had some questions about what Mahomes could look like.
28:10I mean, Kenneth Walker, so much buzz about this dude and how he could help this team get over the hump.
28:16I thought he was terrific. I actually think he had a bigger impact than at least I thought he was going to have in that matchup.
28:25My hot take, I was going back and forth with a couple different ones.
28:29I'm glad Chase earlier in the show made reference to Jalen Hurts because I think he's going to have a monster game.
28:36I was going back and forth in my head, though.
28:39Do I roll with Dak or do I roll with Cam?
28:43Scadaboo is my guy, and I am going to focus in on him.
28:47We've got a Monday night matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
28:51This dude just continues to thrive. We saw with the Niners.
28:54Physicality was able to do against that Rams defense.
28:57I think Cam actually balls out. Double-digit points in every game, but his NFL debut back in week one of last season.
29:04It feels like he's kind of an automatic. There's so much juice to this team's offense when Scadaboo is out there.
29:11I think he goes for 100 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams across the street from our studios at SoFi Stadium.
29:18Big lights and stage there. And I will just say this, and I don't know if you guys agree with me because
29:25he was a little bit of a dud, and Trevor, you made reference to it earlier in the show with Pickens.
29:32I actually think the Dallas offense, I think Dak balls out in week two.
29:36I think you could say the same thing for CeeDee Lamb and Pickens.
29:40Am I crazy feeling confident in the Cowboys offense in week two based off of what we saw in week number one?
29:47I don't think you're crazy at all because Washington's corners are really skeptical.
29:51I think that those guys week in and week out, you don't know what you're going to get.
29:57And I think CeeDee Lamb could have a big day.
30:00I think it could potentially be a big bounce back week from Pickens.
30:05So I'm with you on that one. I like it.
30:08Matt, you were nodding your head. So we're all in agreement there on Dallas's offense getting it right.
30:14Dak, I mean, heck, we thought we could be in that MVP conversation by the end of the season.
30:20All right, week one is down. If you lost in week one, there's still plenty of time.
