Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection13:54

The source ranks Brock Purdy as the next quarterback ranked after Jalen Hurts and notes that you could have gotten a first-round pick for Purdy in trade, or at least a player like Parker Washington, Tootin, or Waddle.

Insight page
PositiveProjection21:41

The source ranks Brock Purdy in the third round of dynasty QB rankings, showing large separation from Dak and Goff; credits Kyle Shanahan's system for consistently producing points even with depleted rosters, and trusts the 49ers offense to put up points year after year.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeProjection23:58

Bryce Young has started the season poorly, which impacts the receiving environment for his pass catchers. The source indicates this will be discussed further in the episode, suggesting Young's performance is a concern for dynasty evaluations of Panthers receivers.

Insight page
PositiveProjection40:06

Bryce Young is showing early-season momentum in a contract year, displaying increased confidence and improved deep-ball accuracy; 5 of 7 on deep passes with 161 yards in recent performance suggests a potential breakout if he can sustain that efficiency. The source notes recency bias in the evaluation but credits contract-year motivation and emerging 'Alabama Bryce' confidence as drivers of improved play.

Insight page
NegativeProjection47:57

Bryce Young has thrown back-to-back three-touchdown games to open the season, which has only been done one other time in Panthers franchise history. The source notes he's doing good stuff right now and if that touchdown rate keeps rolling, they'll be hard pressed to sell any of the Panthers offensive weapons.

Insight page
PositiveProjection73:05

The source prefers Bryce Young over Cam Ward at this exact moment, citing his improved system in Carolina with Coker and confidence building; if he doesn't re-sign with the Panthers and tests free agency, the odds he lands with a better team than the Titans is high, which could further boost his outlook.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeProjection6:48

CJ Stroud crushed it in his rookie year and rose to dynasty super flex 103 in rankings, but the source uses him as a cautionary example of reactionary dynasty ranking behavior. After a strong rookie season, Stroud's ranking trajectory illustrates the broader point that quarterbacks shouldn't be crowned or overdrafted based on one season of production, as some quarterbacks don't become good until their late twenties.

Insight page
NegativeProjection9:09

The source suggests CJ Stroud was adjusted too reactively and too soon in dynasty rankings/projections, cautioning against overreacting to early-season performance without sufficient evidence of sustained decline.

Insight page
PositiveProjection75:19

The source is hanging on to C.J. Stroud and keeping him a tier ahead of Bryce Young in their quarterback hierarchy, despite Young's recent improvements; the source hasn't adjusted Stroud's ranking and is feeling more confident about him.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection72:36

The source describes the Cam Ward vs. Bryce Young decision as neck and neck, noting uncertainty about Ward's trajectory; the source was higher on Ward at the start of the season but now sees it as a close call between the two quarterbacks.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeInjury20:37

The source cites Lamb's past ankle injury struggles as a reason to prefer Goff and Detroit's weaponry over Dallas's receiving corps in dynasty, noting that Lamb and Pickens have both had injury issues.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeProjection22:22

The source notes Olave is hot in dynasty markets with continued volume expected; acknowledges that Tyson Hilton's return will likely hurt Olave's target share somewhat, but frames the concern as manageable if Olave stays healthy; credits Kellen Moore's system but expresses some hesitation about the overall supporting cast around him.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:22

The source ranks Olave very close to Tett McMillan (only one spot apart) and considers him a strong value target in dynasty. The source would accept a trade sending Drake London and a 2.7 pick for Olave and a 2.1 pick, describing it as a 'smash accept,' indicating Olave's current market price is favorable relative to his talent and age.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeRole47:06

Chuba is a hold if you're running back needy and should keep playing him because he looks good; however, if you have him on your bench and feel good about your running back room, the source recommends shopping him for liquidity since he's not viewed as a long-term dynasty option. If you're a competitor, he'll be solid most of the year, and if the Panthers offense stays decent, he remains viable.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveProjection21:21

The source ranks Dak above Goff from a ceiling perspective, noting he is only slightly older than Goff and trusts his year-over-year output potential, though acknowledges potential games played concerns.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

NegativeProjection9:09

The source notes that Daniel Jones was adjusted reactively in dynasty rankings, but acknowledges his floor was supported by his rushing ability (legs), suggesting the adjustment may have been premature despite early-season struggles.

Insight page
NegativeProjection40:06

Daniel Jones is ranked in the same tier as Bryce Young, Sam Darnold, and Kyler Murray in dynasty QB rankings. The source notes Jones looked significantly better in week two than week one but ultimately chose Bryce Young over Jones in a direct comparison.

Insight page
PositiveProjection75:37

The source notes that Daniel Jones bounced back in a recent game, indicating a positive performance that warrants continued monitoring.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection24:55

Drake London has had a very slow start to the season in a terrible environment, but the source cautions against making large adjustments based on poor circumstances. London has survived bad environments throughout his career and has shown elite production in decent environments, so the source is not worried about his long-term outlook despite current struggles.

Insight page
NegativeValue25:43

The source is willing to trade Drake London away in dynasty, offering him plus a 2.7 pick to acquire Chris Olave and a 2.1 pick. This indicates the source views London's current market value as slightly inflated relative to Olave's, making London a sell candidate in the current market despite his long-term talent.

Insight page
PositiveProjection26:38

Drake London benefits from a year of age/experience advantage in a middling rebuilding situation; even if Penix returns as quarterback, he and London are viewed as very similar in terms of outlook, making London the preferred asset in that scenario.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection10:03

The source cautions against overreacting to Drake Maye's rookie-year success and Super Bowl-run-adjacent performance, comparing him to Daniel Jones' NFC Championship run and questioning whether dynasty rankings overvalued him too early; the source notes Maye went in front of Josh Allen multiple times in offseason dynasty superflex startups, suggesting market overvaluation relative to proven veterans.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeValue23:15

The source considers Olave and Wilson neck and neck in dynasty rankings as top-tier Ohio State receiver prospects; states he would not trade up to acquire one over the other and would simply take whichever falls to him in a startup draft, indicating they are valued equivalently.

Insight page
NegativeValue23:22

Garrett Wilson is mentioned as slightly younger than Chris Olave in a comparison of top-tier receiver prospects. The source considers them neck and neck in value, with no strong preference to trade up picks to acquire one over the other in a startup draft.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeProjection31:18

The source ranks Jamar Chase below JSN as dynasty wide receiver, citing historical performance volatility when Joe Burrow is unavailable. Chase has struggled in the past when his quarterback goes out, whereas JSN has maintained elite production even with backup quarterback play, making JSN the safer long-term dynasty asset.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeUsage5:01

The source mentions Jadarian Price among Seattle players to discuss soon, in the context of Seattle's strong defensive performance and rushing attack that dominated late in their week one win over the Cardinals.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveProjection30:42

The source identifies JSN as dynasty wide receiver one, ahead of Jamar Chase. The reasoning centers on quarterback-proof production: JSN has maintained elite performance even when Drew Locke replaced the starter, posting 155 yards and three touchdowns in week nine. By contrast, Chase has historically struggled when Joe Burrow is unavailable. At age 24 with a contract structure guaranteeing him as Seattle's WR1 until age 30-31 (current year plus fifth-year option plus four additional years), JSN offers long-term organizational stability and multiple seasons of top-10 or WR1 finishes ahead.

Insight page
PositiveRole31:58

JSN's contract structure guarantees his role as Seattle's wide receiver one for the next six years minimum. The source emphasizes organizational trust and the Seahawks' young roster construction (citing Devin Witherspoon and Byron Murphy as building blocks), suggesting the team will remain competitive long-term and JSN will maintain WR1 status throughout his prime years.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection2:13

The source is a firm believer in Jalen Hurts and thinks it is ridiculous that the community hates him so much; the source notes that Hurts delivered when needed and performs well in spots where he normally excels, and even put up a ridiculous day in the Super Bowl loss. The source would take Hurts over Justin Herbert.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveUsage60:27

The source notes that James Cook is receiving consistent usage and there are not many situations where other backs get mixed in with him, indicating he maintains a clear lead-back role in the Bills offense.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveValue13:40

The source made a trade this offseason, moving from Justin Herbert to Jared Goff and Brace Hall, and felt very fine doing it; the source does not feel bad about the trade after the season started and feels vindicated by the early results.

Insight page
PositiveValue20:09

The source prefers Goff over Javante Williams and CeeDee Lamb in dynasty, citing superior consistency and availability over the last few years; trusts Detroit's weaponry more than Dallas's, and emphasizes Dan Campbell's regime and Detroit's deep offensive team as reasons to trust the offense to put up points year after year.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeRole20:19

The source notes that Williams's last year was his first real good year without injuries, suggesting durability concerns and questioning the sustainability of his recent production in dynasty rankings.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeInjury4:58

Jaden Daniels re-injured the same elbow that he did not have surgically repaired last year. Medical reports indicate that avoiding surgery significantly increases the likelihood of re-injury to the same elbow, which is exactly what occurred. This compounds concerns about the Washington offense's viability and the coaching staff's decision-making under Dan Quinn in his rookie season.

Insight page
NegativeProjection5:54

Jaden Daniels was potentially an overreach in dynasty rankings; beyond injury concerns, he hasn't looked great on field in terms of command since his rookie year. The source notes that even injury-withheld, his performance has declined, and he hasn't been the same player since the end of his rookie season. This contrasts with the emotional reactionary nature of dynasty rankings that crowned him early after a strong rookie year, similar to how CJ Stroud rose to dynasty super flex 103 after his rookie year before regressing.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeProjection66:43

The source had Justin Herbert ranked one spot ahead of Joe Burrow at QB9, with Burrow at QB10 in preseason rankings.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeUsage60:30

The source mentions that Jonathan Taylor gets somebody mixed in with him in committee situations, suggesting he is not a pure lead-back and faces some backfield competition.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue12:00

The source highlights Josh Allen as a value pick in dynasty superflex startups, noting he was available at pick 105 despite Drake Maye being selected ahead of him multiple times in offseason drafts; the source expresses satisfaction with this selection, suggesting Allen's proven track record makes him a smarter pick than chasing flashy new quarterback prospects.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection57:18

The source was a firm believer in tearing off Justin Herbert this offseason, believing his dynasty value was overinflated. The source notes that the Chargers offense is bad and Herbert just looks bad; the source had him ranked QB9 in preseason rankings but now has concerns about the fit and execution with the team.

Insight page
NegativeRole64:22

The source notes that Herbert and the Chargers offense do not look like a good fit and it doesn't look like things are working; the source cannot pinpoint whether Herbert is disinterested or if there is a vibe issue, but the overall assessment is that the offense is struggling and the fit is not working.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveUsage5:01

The source references Seattle's strong rushing attack that dominated late in their week one win over the Cardinals, suggesting the running back room is a focal point of the offense. The source indicates Seattle players will be discussed soon in this context.

Insight page
NegativeRole42:22

Kenneth Walker is no longer in the Seahawks building, which the source cites as a reason to expect increased passing volume from Sam Darnold and a shift in offensive approach.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout52:32

The source expresses strong conviction that Kenneth Walker is a top-five running back talent who was being held back by the Seahawks' offensive scheme and play-calling. The source was upset about the Seahawks' decision not to re-sign Walker and felt the team had the cap space to retain him. The source cites Walker's playoff performance as evidence of his elite talent when given the opportunity to run freely without 'training wheels,' positioning him as a breakout candidate in a new situation.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeProjection40:06

Kyler Murray is ranked in the same dynasty QB tier as Bryce Young, Daniel Jones, and Sam Darnold. The source mentions a potential breakout but does not provide specific analysis or conviction on Murray relative to the other quarterbacks discussed.

Insight page
NegativeProjection72:15

The source is sitting on the fence regarding Kyler Murray, stating they haven't seen him play a single game yet in a purple uniform and want to see him perform before writing him off or committing to a ranking.

Insight page

Mac Jones

PositiveValue21:59

The source indicates he would trust Mac Jones in Kyle Shanahan's system, citing Shanahan's proven ability to consistently put points on the board even with depleted rosters, suggesting Jones could be undervalued if placed in that offensive system.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeRole25:58

Michael Penix is expected to return as the Falcons quarterback, which could impact Drake London's receiving environment. The source suggests that even with Penix's return, London would still be comparable to Olave if Penix provides competent quarterback play.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeBust75:04

The source was high on Michael Pittman Jr. but he contributed to the source's elimination from a chopped league; the source punted wide receiver too long and paid the price dearly with Pittman not playing this week and Wondell Robinson also underperforming.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout0:04

The source mentions Parker Washington as a potential trade target in dynasty deals and notes that he is a former undrafted rookie who is about to break out; the source is targeting Parker Washington rookie cards and believes most people never saw his breakout coming.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:04

Former undrafted rookie positioned for breakout; the source is targeting Parker Washington rookie cards as a serious investment, signaling conviction in his emergence.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout10:10

The source identifies Parker Washington as a former undrafted rookie poised to break out, noting that most people have not yet recognized this potential; the source is targeting his rookie cards as a card collector, suggesting conviction in his upcoming emergence.

Insight page
PositiveRole26:54

Parker Washington has been confirmed as the definitive Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver one; he is receiving the bulk of target distribution early in the season, jumping BTJ comfortably. The source notes he looks confident, creates separation, runs clean routes, and looks for yards-after-catch opportunities with poised motivation.

Insight page
NegativeValue27:48

Parker Washington is now looking like great value in the seventh round of dynasty startup drafts, a significant shift from the source's earlier skepticism about taking him in the fifth round. The source previously thought seventh-round ADP was too high but now views it as attractive given his confirmed role and early production.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout28:28

Parker Washington is positioned as a potential breakout candidate; the source hints at future conversations about market movers and is considering scenarios where elite receivers like Garrett Wilson might be traded to acquire Parker Washington plus additional pieces, suggesting significant upside potential.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout29:11

Parker Washington is framed as a former undrafted rookie about to break out, with the source noting most people never saw it coming. This positions him as a sleeper emergence story with significant upside.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveProjection49:14

Patrick Mahomes has had to put the team on his back offensively through the last couple of seasons, especially after Tyreek Hill left. The source notes he's taken criticism from fantasy analysts about his deep ball accuracy, but recent games show he's throwing accurate deep balls, suggesting improved performance and upside.

Insight page
PositiveProjection49:48

The source ranked Patrick Mahomes as Dynasty QB5 all offseason and maintains that ranking despite community consensus placing him lower (KTC QB12, Sleeper QB11 in Superflex). The source credits Mahomes' recent 384-yard performance to the Chiefs' commitment to the run game and play-action, which reduces pressure on the quarterback and unlocks his dynamic abilities; the source notes that fantasy spreadsheet analysts had criticized his deep ball accuracy, but recent film shows improved accuracy on deep throws. The source values the eye test and Mahomes' top-tier talent over pure fantasy volume metrics, positioning him as a buy in dynasty formats.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

PositiveProjection6:48

Sam Darnold is cited as an example of a quarterback who wasn't good until his late twenties, illustrating the source's broader point that dynasty players shouldn't rush to judge or overdraft quarterbacks based on early career performance. The unpredictability of quarterback development means some players take years to reach their peak, making early-season reactionary ranking adjustments a mistake.

Insight page
PositiveProjection41:21

Sam Darnold is valued for his late-season 2024 playoff performance (zero turnovers, strong efficiency) and the continuity he now has with the Seahawks system for the first time in his career. Despite losing OC Kubiak, the source expects Darnold to benefit from stable weapons and receiver rapport-building, and anticipates increased passing volume with Kenneth Walker out and Zach Charbonnet recovering from injury. The source expresses strong conviction in holding Darnold as a dynasty asset.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveRole0:24

Found the end zone twice in week two and looks like the wide receiver one in Washington for the season; maintained production even after Jaden Daniels' injury, suggesting a strong connection with backup Marcus Mariota that could sustain Washington's passing game.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeProjection0:03

Had a dry start to the season despite the source being high on him preseason and buying shares across dynasty league contenders; Jaden Daniels' injury further hurts his outlook by removing a strong quarterback and play-action threat, making his bounce-back year projection more difficult.

Insight page
NegativeBust3:02

The source was high on Terry McLaurin entering the season, expecting a bounce-back year and bought shares across dynasty league contenders, but he's had a dry start through week two. The source notes the well has not struck water yet and acknowledges the pick stings, particularly given the uncertain Washington offensive environment and coaching situation under Dan Quinn with Jaden Daniels.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveRole50:00

The source notes that Travis Kelce appears to be in improved physical condition, having gotten into good shape for wedding/tux fitting, and looks good heading into the season. This observation is made in the context of the Chiefs' offensive adjustments and the receiver core being underestimated by fantasy analysts.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveProjection66:40

The source had Trevor Lawrence ranked ahead of Justin Herbert in preseason rankings, suggesting Lawrence is preferred over Herbert in dynasty quarterback rankings.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

PositiveUsage48:58

Xavier Worthy received a throw from Patrick Mahomes in game two that was described as an absolute missile, though he dropped it. The source highlights this as evidence of Mahomes' accurate deep ball and his willingness to target Worthy downfield.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeRole42:22

Zach Charbonnet is recovering from injury and is not yet available for the Seahawks, contributing to the expected shift toward increased passing volume in the offense.

0:00Y'all know I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card, one of my prized possessions.
0:04And this year I'm taking card collecting more seriously and that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards.
0:10That's right. A former undrafted rookie is about to break out and most people never saw it coming.
0:15And I've been inspired by a new app called WhatNot.
0:18WhatNot is the best place to find the right cards for you.
0:21Your sellers know their stuff. They aren't just people clearing out a garage.
0:25They're dedicated businesses going live around the clock and they know what they're selling.
0:30What's rare. Why condition? WhatNot actually matters. You can ask questions and get an instant answer because it's a community.
0:36You're not scrolling alone. You're in a live chat with other collectors, people who want to talk about the same rookies you want to talk about.
0:43WhatNot is why I'm much more into card collecting now than I was before.
0:47And you can get $20 off your first purchase right now.
0:51Just search WhatNot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store, download it, sign up and start finding the things you've been chasing.
0:57That is WhatNot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store to get $20 off.
1:00Terms apply. Stan and Casey, FFD, Dynasty, Bryce check together.
1:03Stan, how was your week two? It was great, man.
1:06The injuries put a little damper on me for a moment there, seeing a lot of big names go down.
1:12But hey, it seems like some of them aren't as serious as we were initially expecting.
1:17So let's just hope everyone gets their pads back on soon and we're back to scoring fantasy points.
1:22Yeah, no, totally. It looked like week two had taken a lot away from us, but it seems like maybe some are
1:29way less worse than we initially thought. So time will tell.
1:32We're here on Monday afternoon. We're going to chop up some kind of recap and talk about trending players, whether we're buy,
1:39sell and holden or we called it factor fiction last week.
1:42Kind of just some thought processes on some players that are either doing really well or maybe poorly.
1:47And then we'll end this segment or end this show with a little buy low, sell high sort of panic meter.
1:54So if we skip something in the first iteration of talking about a team and they seem topical, they will probably be
2:00on the bottom end of the show or even in show two if Jason so chooses.
2:05So without further ado, Stan, let's jump right into it.
2:08Jaden Daniels goes down, re-injures that non-throwing elbow. How do you think this impacts the commanders overall?
2:13What players do you think this hurts more? Or I don't know that it necessarily helps anybody, but you aren't as concerned
2:20with maybe their production and startability and fantasy. Yeah, well, let's start with Stefan Diggs.
2:24He found the end zone twice again this week.
2:27He looks like the wide receiver one in Washington for the season right now.
2:31And even after Daniels went out, Diggs was able to find the end zone.
2:35So maybe Diggs and Marcus got a little connection we don't know about, right?
2:39Maybe they can right the ship and keep Washington afloat over there.
2:43Now, all being considered, though, I think this just hurts all of Washington's offense in general, right?
2:48Harder to sustain a good run game when your quarterback isn't as strong and it can't open up as much in play action.
2:55Isn't as much of a rushing threat that Jaden Daniels is.
2:58So I think, you know, all those things need to be considered there.
3:02I think it hurts Terry McLaurin, who's had quite the dry start to the season.
3:07And I'll admit, I was pretty high on Terry going into the year.
3:10I thought this is a real bounce back year for Terry.
3:14Bought a lot of shares of him across my dynasty leagues on some contenders.
3:18So that one's that one's that water or that well has not struck any water yet.
3:23Casey. No, no. And I, the Terry one stings, you know, it's certainly more into him on redraft than I was in
3:29dynasty, you know, for competitors that would have been a buy that I'd be interested in a little later as, and this
3:36is the reason why I usually go that route.
3:38One, you don't know what team's going to do.
3:41What, as far as your teams and two, you don't know how that player environment is going to be.
3:47Even if you think it's going to be wheels up, like I thought it would be.
3:52And here we are in week two, dealing with similar things that we dealt with last year for Jaden Daniels.
3:58Now next week, they do play Seattle. Now they aren't at home against Seattle, but that's going to be a matchup where I'm probably benching all of them.
4:06If I can, everybody with a maroon or burgundy Jersey on is probably getting a bench for me as far as that goes.
4:13Yeah. I mean, don't, don't throw and throw me on so early gassing up my own team here, but that defense looks
4:19as put together as I can remember from a unit just rolling right into the season.
4:24And like I said, this is the glaze train, right?
4:27For the Seahawks when it comes to dynasty price check.
4:30So take it all with a grain of salt, but I don't know a whole lot of teams that come out backup
4:37quarterback right out of the gate and just are comfortably cruising to wins.
4:41I mean, the Cardinals aren't exactly a pushover. Now we're going to ask the question maybe later, are the chargers legit?
4:47Right. So how much did that win really mean?
4:49But you know, for those of you that watched that first half was crazy.
4:54Oh, a little testy, you know, it was a good game and Jacoby was dealing back and forth and the game was close.
5:01And then I think the quality just rose to the top defense started doing their thing.
5:05Seattle started rushing that ball down their throat at the end.
5:09And I know we'll maybe jump and talk about some, uh, some Seattle players soon here.
5:13Jadarian price, manual Wilson, all the above. But yeah, I think Washington, uh, I'd be fading.
5:18I'd be fading a lot of those Washington pass catchers next week.
5:22Yeah. Especially the fall, you know, this next week after the injury, this, that's just a tough matchup.
5:27Then they have the Colts, the Giants, Niners, Eagles, Rams.
5:30Doesn't get a whole lot easier for Washington. I think that's going to be one of the first coaches out or rather,
5:37I think next year we're going to be seeing a whole new staff there in Washington.
5:41Unfortunately, never wishing for anybody's firings, but that just seems to be the writing on the wall that, that Dan Quinn rookie season with Jaden Daniels.
5:49I think that was more of fiction than fact.
5:52Uh, I mean, look, I'm no doctor too. And, and again, I'm not trying to throw the coaching staff in question here.
5:58I'm sure these guys have the best in the business quote in them, but did you see this morning?
6:04I read that, you know, Jaden Daniels re-injured the same elbow, right?
6:08And they ended up not going the surgical route last year in order to try to get him back, you know, and
6:14just get him back on the football field. And apparently the doctor said, and I watched another doctor report this morning saying,
6:21if you don't go the surgery route, you're far more likely to re-injure that elbow again with the same injury.
6:27And it happened again. And so it's like, I don't know, is there questions to be asked in the Washington staff room right now?
6:34Like, why not just protect your franchise quarterback? Do the surgical option.
6:38You had nothing to play for last year. I don't know.
6:41Questions, questions will be asked Casey. Yeah. And you know, maybe that was a hit a quarterback decision as well.
6:47Who knows? Yeah. But so that leads me to say, you know, is this a by Jaden Daniels question mark?
6:53Was this generally a terrible overreach sort of on him of where we placed him and have been chasing?
6:58Were we wrong? Well, I mean, look, injuries are really hard to predict, right?
7:03So I hate to play that bug. But like, let's just look at recency a little bit here, right?
7:08Yeah. Real quick. Yeah. Real quick. I would. And I like where you're going.
7:12I already know where you're going. I like it.
7:15Yeah. Yeah. But even injury withheld, like he just hasn't looked great on field generally as far as command of what we saw in that first year.
7:23So sorry. And I didn't want this to just be an injury question because that's not necessarily what I was driving at.
7:30So continue, Stan. Sorry. Totally. No, no, no. I agree with you too.
7:34And like, even to that point, and I'm with you, like he hasn't looked fantastic on the field.
7:39I feel like even since the end of that rookie year, it's not been the exact same person in my mind.
7:45And, you know, you could bring up the injuries.
7:48You could bring up, you know, the change in regime over there and different guys going in and out and offensive line
7:55struggles or whatever you want to focus on, right?
7:57Lack of a run game. I mean, all those are probably somewhat valid, right?
8:01I think it's just, you know, where I was going was, you know, you had CJ Stroud crush it his rookie year, right?
8:08He rises up. He's dynasty super flex 103. I saw him going left and right there.
8:13Then last year, it, or then the year after, right?
8:16It happens Jane Daniels. And last year happens with Drake may.
8:19And I think it's just like, we're such an emotional species.
8:23We're so reactionary and dynasty and it's hard not to do it.
8:26Right. I do it too. I get excited by players, but I think it's just like, especially with quarterbacks, man, like we've learned at this point.
8:34Some quarterbacks aren't even good until they're 28, 29.
8:37I mean, Sam Darnold, right? Like you don't even know these days.
8:40And so I think it's like to crown someone King or rush up and overdraft them right away is, um, is something
8:47that I think we all need to be wary of.
8:50And I preach it a lot, you know, in, in my philosophy, my channel, whatever you want to talk about, like I'm a big production guy.
8:57Show me, don't tell me. I want to see it year after year, but maybe that's something we can learn better about quarterbacks, right?
9:05Don't go chasing after one season. These guys are fickle.
9:08It's, you know, just like TLC said, you can't go chasing waterfalls.
9:11Um, anyway, no, I agree. And I, and, and, you know, I see obviously, you know, dynasty rankings.
9:17I don't think there should be a whole lot of fiddling with them for another couple of weeks here.
9:22Obviously we could probably make small adjustments and we can be like, Ooh, we really, really wrong on that one.
9:28That needs adjustment. But generally I don't think that should be something that we, we do.
9:33Cause if you are already doing big adjustments, it probably weren't great to begin with.
9:37Right. Um, but just speaking to the point of, Hey, everybody wants to be reactionary.
9:42Everybody wants to be kind of current and moving things around.
9:45And I think that's kind of where, where we got with CJ Stroud, maybe a little too soon with Jane Daniels.
9:51It was the legs that said, Oh no, well, at least the floor is there.
9:56And then is Drake may have we done the same almost seeing a went to a super bowl run, not different from
10:03Jane Daniels and their team kind of going to that NFC championship or whatever that was run in his rookie year.
10:09Uh, the legs are good. The deep ball was good.
10:12Are we, uh, did we overreact on Drake may too?
10:15Y'all know I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card.
10:18One of my prize possessions. And this year I'm taking card collecting more seriously.
10:22And that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards. That's right.
10:25A former undrafted rookie is about to break out and most people never saw it coming.
10:30And I've been inspired by a new app called WhatNot.
10:33Whatnot is the best place to find the right cards for you.
10:36Your sellers know their stuff. They aren't just people clearing out a garage.
10:40They're dedicated businesses going live around the clock and they know what they're selling.
10:44What's rare. Why condition actually matters. You can ask questions and get an instant answer because it's a community.
10:50You're not scrolling alone. You're in a live chat with other collectors.
10:54People who want to talk about the same rookies you want to talk about.
10:58Whatnot is why I'm much more into card collecting now than I was before.
11:02And you can get $20 off your first purchase right now.
11:05Just search whatnot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store. Download it, sign up, and start finding the things you've been chasing.
11:11That is whatnot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store to get $20 off.
11:15Terms apply. Every game day, you show up for your team.
11:18Now, it's your time. Ask your prescriber about WeGovi.
11:21Some maglutide injection 2.4 milligrams, a GLP-1. Call 1-833-4-WEGOVI or visit wegovi.com to view the medication guide and to learn more about WeGovi.
11:28Why wait? Very possibly, right? I think there was a lot of talk about it last year.
11:33Drake, the schedule may. And I think this is just a lesson in sports in general.
11:37I'm not going to take us on too long of a rabbit trail here, Casey.
11:42But I played soccer at a high level. I used to always watch this happen.
11:46Sometimes your team can be really good. And then the next year, you're not as good.
11:51And sports is such an amazing thing, right? There's a million variables that go into every single week, every single game, every single outing.
11:58And I think that you see a lot of that in football too, right?
12:02It's like the combo of the guys in the locker room, the coordinators, the injuries, everything.
12:07And so it's like, yeah, if Drake may is really good one year, I don't know if we can just put a
12:14crown on his head and walk him up to the 102.
12:17I watched him go in front of Josh Allen multiple times this offseason.
12:21I picked up Josh Allen at 105 in the Dynasty Superflex startup earlier this offseason.
12:25And it's just lovely. I'm smiling ear to ear, Casey, because it's like sometimes we have these guys and we look them
12:32in the face and we chase the flashy new thing.
12:35And it's like, no, why not just take what is right in front of you?
12:39That platter. Josh Allen is right in front of me.
12:42I couldn't have been happier because he's not skipped a beat, Casey.
12:46He's right here. He's still king, right? Yeah. Another 40-point performance this week.
12:50Right, right. And look, we're going to talk about some rankings and some this or that throughout here, buy, sell, hold, however
12:57you want to label this kind of. First part of the episode here.
13:00But again, you know, to move that significant that fast, especially, you know, and Stroud, Jaden Daniels and May could be just
13:07three recent examples year over year of those were just grossly misvalued.
13:11And we took what we knew and was great in front of us.
13:14And we kind of threw to the wind and said, hey, this new hot thing's coming and we want to be ahead
13:21of it instead of just waiting a second. Right.
13:24Hey, I mean, I don't want to get too deep into Dynasty strategy here, Casey, but like I beat this drum all off, Susan.
13:31I still stand by it. I am an active.
13:34I will take my first quarterback in the fourth round and I will take my second quarterback in like the sixth or seventh.
13:40And it's always Jared Goff as QB2. It's always Jared Goff.
13:44I take it at the end of the sixth if I got a reach or early seventh if I feel comfortable with
13:50it because the guy gives me top 10 finishes at a perpetual rate.
13:54And in the fourth round, I'll grab Bo Nix or Brock Purdy.
13:58And like Bo Nix hasn't had the best start to the season.
14:01I'll acknowledge that. Brock Purdy on the other end of things.
14:05Glock Purdy over there is dealing. But it's like, I think like this is a lot of the reason I don't go
14:11chasing even the, you know, the Caleb Williams, the, you know, the guys with these crazy rushing upside that I got a
14:18lot of Trevor Lawrence in the fourth, fifth round last off season, you know, before he went as well as he did with Liam Cohen that first year.
14:26And he's looking good again here. But yeah, I think it's just an interesting case study.
14:31You know, sometimes not, not the best to chase these young quarterbacks right out of the gate and your startups here.
14:37Yeah. We had a theory for a little while.
14:40Me and Big Co was just like, kind of let the rookies, let the rookie quarterbacks be somebody else's problem and we'll
14:46buy them later if we need to, we'll buy them on the rebound or just get the knowns.
14:52Yeah. And I think I might be kind of wandering on back to that.
14:56Like Lamar was disrespected. And this is now Lamar wasn't great.
14:59And that's actually where we're going next. Yeah. As far as at the end of that game, but week one, he was great.
15:06Missing some weapons. Lamar was a known and we've cast him aside.
15:10It's for the new hot this. So anyway, the Saints put together another great second half to beat Baltimore at home here
15:16and kind of did the same show, kind of were abysmal in the first half.
15:21And then the second half, you know, two weeks in a row now looked great.
15:25That leads me to two questions and we'll talk about both of them of we'll take Shuck first and then we'll go
15:32to Olave and ET will be in the back part of the episode as far as kind of panic, patience, buy low sort of conversation.
15:39So let's start with Shuck. And I know we just did a whole soliloquy about rankings, but this isn't moving him super high.
15:46But like from what we've seen over the first two games of Shuck and we do have a little rushing floor.
15:52Shuck and Baker were two guys that just like you were saying in your startup strategy were two guys that I was
15:59plucking a lot of Baker, Shuck, golf, Dak, Purdy a little earlier if you wanted to have, you know, a little bit
16:05higher standard of what you think the quarterback play could be.
16:09But has Shuck raised the bar at all for you?
16:12Has he surpassed? Let's let's call it a Baker Mayfield.
16:15Yeah, yeah. And I think Baker's had a pretty rough start to the season.
16:19It's unfortunate to see, you know, a book Godwin, both those guys not not scored as much as I think a lot of people had hoped.
16:27But yeah, I think I think Shuck is looking really good.
16:30I like the system he's attached to. I like the weapons around him.
16:34I like it even more when Jordan Tyson's back on the field.
16:37And so, yeah, I'll take Shuck over Baker right now.
16:40Okay. In that same vein, we just talked about Jared Goff.
16:44We both, I feel like, are very comfortable with him.
16:47If we, you know, if we're doing swipes right now on the FFDynasty.com, which is about to cross a million swipes to go over and check that out.
16:55Would you rather have right now Jared Goff or Shuck?
16:58It hurts my soul, but no, I'm going to hold firm on this one.
17:02And I will acknowledge I am materially higher on Jared Goff than I think the entirety of the Dynasty community.
17:08You might as well make me a Jared Goff t-shirt and I can wear it for the next show.
17:14But it's like here and here's the reason, Casey, and I'll keep it short.
17:18Predictability. Okay. I've got four top 10 finishes in a row with zero rushing upside from Jared Goff.
17:23I feel great about that. I feel so good about that.
17:27On top of that, every single one of his major weapons is young and most likely going to stay in the building for the long haul.
17:34Jameer Gibbs, Amonraal St. Brown, Jameson Williams, all already under extension.
17:38I'm sure Sam Laporte is on the way, right?
17:40And so it's like all those guys, young, not going anywhere.
17:44And if one of them gets hurt, I don't feel like I'm squeezed because there's not only one of them.
17:50Like, I believe in J-Mo to step up. I, you know, I believe in, in Gibbs to keep doing his thing.
17:56And I believe in St. Brown to the nth degree.
17:59Right. And so I think just from that standpoint, like, yeah, I love Shook.
18:03Right. But Jordan Tyson's been dealing with injury. If Olave goes down, I don't know how I feel about Devon Vele, wide
18:10receiver one, even though he's looked good. Yeah. You know, I don't know if I, how I feel about wide receiver one and then tight end Juwan Johnson.
18:18Right. And like HN, ETN, what we're calling him these days, not really been a huge factor to start the season as well.
18:25And I know we might touch on that, but that's my reasoning on Goff.
18:29It's going to be a no there, but, but I could see the argument for it.
18:34Right. Like, I'm not going to blame you if you're closer to retooling or rebuilding, if you want to get a little younger there.
18:41Yeah. So generally how my rankings were going for super flex quarterbacks here, it was kind of like I had Baker golf
18:47and I had Jordan love kind of in a, in a tier ish around together.
18:52And then not very far behind those next tier.
18:55I might've had a few players in there, but then I had, um, you know, I had, uh, guys like Shuck Stroud
19:01and ward sort of in the next tier. I think for me, Shuck has jumped out of that tier with those guys.
19:08He'll jump all those guys and he's going to jump Jordan love for me too.
19:12Well, that's what I was just about. That was kind of why I was bringing up those tears was cause like, for
19:19me, what I've seen, I've already just love is a, is a fine QB too.
19:23I don't want to have to count on them necessarily.
19:26He's just, and their offensive line has not been good.
19:29And we, and we'll talk a little bit of Packers in a minute.
19:33Um, but I, I agree. I would have to say I would move Shuck up and I would move love to the back of that line.
19:41I don't think I would teardrop love just yet.
19:44Um, but I would certainly move Shuck up to near the front of that line.
19:48I'd probably put Jared at the front, then Shuck, then Baker, then love.
19:52Um, so, but he, they haven't none of Dak has come out and played really well.
19:57You wouldn't put Dak, you wouldn't put any of those guys necessarily ahead of Dak or Shuck ahead of Dak for the conversation here.
20:04I don't, I, I'm not going to lie. I'm higher on golf than I am on Dak.
20:09And I know that's like not a popular opinion in the dynasty community at all.
20:13I just, again, it's, it's like, you know, I was talking about it earlier in the show here.
20:19I must show me, don't tell me. And if you pull up the stats from the last few years, just golf has been more consistent, more available.
20:27And I also still trust the weaponry in Detroit more than I trust the Cowboys.
20:31You know, I like Javante, but that last year was his first real good year and without injuries.
20:37Right. And like, I like lamb and I like Pickens, but you know, like those guys have also had their injury struggles
20:43in the past, especially CD lamb with the ankles and stuff like that.
20:47And so I just think Detroit's a very deep team.
20:50I trust Dan Campbell a lot. I trust the regime and I think we get lost in, it's not to take us
20:57on a rabbit trail, but I think we get lost in the sauce all the time in fantasy.
21:02Right. We get, we like the players. We like, you know, all this stuff.
21:06This is about real football at the end of the day.
21:10And I trust Dan Campbell. I trust Detroit and I trust that team to put up points on offense.
21:15I've watched it happen year after year after year.
21:18And so I'm going to hang my hat on that.
21:21Yeah. I have Dak above those guys just from the ceiling perspective of what he can do now.
21:26He's a hair older than golf. I just, I still think just what he can boot, put out from an output standpoint year over year.
21:34And again, you know, yeah, we, we may lose GP.
21:37We'll see what happens, but I do have him a little bit ahead of those guys.
21:41And then, so generally though, we're not even close to the Brock Purdy, right?
21:46He's still, he's, he's starting to really show himself a large amount of separation from these guys.
21:51Cause I've, I've, I've got Purdy ranked up in the third round right now.
21:55So yeah, no. And it just comes down to what I was talking about, Casey.
21:59It's, it's your, it's your 49ers. It's here to, you know, like I trust Shanahan.
22:04Yeah. I like Purdy a lot, but I also would trust Mac Jones in that system.
22:09Like I trust Kyle Shanahan to put points on the board.
22:12And he does every year, even with like a half team of all IR people and people walking off the street.
22:18So yeah. All right. Well, let's move to Shucks partner in crime right now.
22:22Alave is just red hot in those streets. And obviously, you know, the volume is going to continue to be there.
22:29Vale is, is getting his Juwan is getting his.
22:31We'll see what happens when Tyson comes back. I think that mostly just hurts Vale, you know, a little bit as, as long as he can be healthy.
22:40But generally with Chris Olave, like we'll start off a little low and we'll see kind of how high we get here
22:46because what we're seeing is we're giving praise to Shuck.
22:49We're giving in a way praise to Kellen Moore.
22:52Right. But the idea is, Hey, we don't quite trust the amount, the amount of system around him or amount of players
22:58around him is kind of where your head and framing is at.
23:02Right. It's a lava. And then, you know, we like Juwan and Vale looks good, but it's nowhere near kind of what
23:09you're talking about from a golf standpoint. For sure.
23:11But if we talk about a lava, has he, has he leaped Garrett Wilson in your opinion?
23:16Uh, I look, I do Ohio state guys, right?
23:19Like they're both super talented. I mean, that's cool.
23:22It just puts out top tier receiver prospects. I think they're neck and neck for me, like back to back.
23:28I hate to sit on the fence here, but it's like, I just don't care.
23:32Like if I was in a startup draft and I had to choose, I just, I'm not trading up a pick to get one over the other, right?
23:41Like I'm just going to take whoever falls to me.
23:44So I think from the short-sighted view, you could like Shuck in the volume going to, um, Olave better.
23:49But as soon as next year, we could be seeing something and Gino seems fine, right?
23:54Yeah. Gino's doing fine. And then when that's kind of the way I felt about all the jets, generally they're, they're going
24:01to be fine enough for fantasy where I don't have to regret the pick necessarily.
24:05Um, but Shuck and Olave have, have risen to a different level.
24:09I could, I could give Olave the nod. I know Garrett Wilson's a little younger.
24:13Would you, if you're putting, you're putting those two kind of the similar, and I don't know where you fall on any of these guys.
24:21So has, has Olave gotten to a Tett McMillan level of value for you?
24:25So, so look, I'm looking at my rankings right now.
24:28I still have Tett above him. Um, but it's by one spot Casey.
24:32So it's not a massive difference. I think I just, he's a bit younger and I still love the prospect profile and
24:38man, I mean, Bryce Young keeps playing like he started the season here.
24:42I know we'll talk about it in a little bit.
24:45We're going to have a different conversation about Tett McMillan.
24:48But, uh, yeah, I got him very close. Okay.
24:51And then obviously Drake has had a very slow start to the season.
24:55And, but again, we shouldn't be making large swathing adjustments off of a terrible environment.
24:59Now he has survived a pretty bad environment throughout his career.
25:02We know when we've seen glimpses of a decent environment, he's up there with some of the best in the league.
25:09So we're not worried about, and we wouldn't, would we would, or would we jump that of just saying, Hey, I kind
25:15of know what I have in Chuck. Now, uh, the volume that if, if, if Drake gets a lava is volume, how much better even is he?
25:23Well, yeah, no. And that's a great question. And look, I know where it's early in the season.
25:29So I don't want to like be, you know, suggesting people make generational trades here.
25:33Right. And, and, you know, throw their roster into a, into a whirlwind.
25:37But just the first thing that comes to my mind with what you're saying there is like, if it's me and I
25:43can play the market in my league right now, I have zero problem taking Drake London and going quote unquote down to
25:50Chris Alave and getting something coming back to me.
25:53Like, even if it's a small case at this point, if an offer came to me tomorrow of I'm sending Drake London
25:59and a 27, two for Chris Alave and a 27, one, like that's a smash except for me.
26:05Right. It's just a pick swap. And it's like, I think that's the level of closeness that we're at today.
26:11Now clip me, you know, come back week nine.
26:13If Alave is falling off the cliff and Drake London's heated up with Michael Penix and you guys can clown me all over the internet.
26:21But I do think, I do think that that's a fair argument to make today.
26:25Yeah. And now if, you know, if you're more on the competitor side than the Alave looks good for you right now,
26:32if you're, if you're a little bit more in the middling rebuilding, you get a year of difference in Drake London.
26:38And I think if you got, if you got a competent quarterback play, even if Penix comes back, I think they're kind of very similar.
26:46So I think you would, you would still skew Drake in that regard.
26:49So I like that. All right. Moving on just a call back to last week.
26:54We asked if Parker Washington could be a top 12 wide receiver, but we were unsure if he was for sure the
27:00Jaguars wide receiver one, have we now confirmed it?
27:03It's gotta be a yes. Right. I mean, he just looks like the guy in that system.
27:08Trevor looks his way often. He looks a lot more comfortable.
27:12I mean, even in a loss, got seven catches, 98 yards.
27:15I mean, that was quiet. I felt quiet. It felt quiet and it looks good.
27:19And I think that's the thing, right? It's like, it's the eye test too, Casey.
27:24It's like, he just looks so confident out there.
27:26He's creating separation. He looks clean running his routes.
27:29Every time the ball's in his hand, he's looking for yak opportunity.
27:33I mean, this is a guy that's playing with poised confidence, like looks motivated as hell to be out there.
27:39So yeah, I think he's jumped BTJ comfortably here.
27:41And I think I'd be remiss to say otherwise that Parker Washington is the definitive wide receiver one in Jacksonville.
27:47I don't think, I don't think there's an argument anymore.
27:50I think all the ADP things in the off season.
27:53I felt like Jacoby, I felt like there would be a lot more kind of round Robin of target distribution, but it's all going Parker Washington's way early.
28:02So apologies to anybody. I may have said in live drafts or anything of like, how can you take Parker?
28:08And we, we kept seeing it every once in a while, somebody would go, you know, redraft or whatever six fifth round Parker Washington.
28:15Oh man, that seems really high. And then all of a sudden that doesn't seem so high anymore.
28:20He's looking like great value in the seventh round of your dynasty startup, which I said was too high a couple of months ago.
28:27But I think like not to tease too many shows coming up this season, but if you need a reason to come
28:34back, I think this conversation is getting real spicy in a couple of weeks here, Casey, when we started diving into the
28:40true market movers and how ballsy you're starting to feel and it's like, where are you now comfortable tearing off of to
28:47get to Parker Washington with something coming back? Right.
28:50Like I just talked about the Drake London thing.
28:52Like, it's like, are we going to start creeping into the realm of like, okay, if I send Garrett Wilson, like, will
28:59I take Parker Washington and a throw in piece?
29:02Like what is that throw in piece have to be?
29:05I don't know. Just a food for thought for the future folks.
29:08Yeah. Y'all know I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card.
29:11One of my prized possessions. And this year I'm taking card collecting more seriously.
29:16And that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards. That's right.
29:19A former undrafted rookie. He's about to break out and most people never saw it coming.
29:23And I've been inspired by a new app called WhatNot.

30:21Or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.
30:25Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online make sense?
30:29There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required.
30:32Compatibility and availability varies 18+. We started off with Jaden Daniels.
30:35We got sidetracked with a little Seahawks talk. But let's pause it right here.
30:40And we'll go. JSN had the hat trick, right?
30:42Yeah. And is he just... Is he the wide receiver one overall?
30:46Stan, I know you're a Seahawks fan. So you're trying to be, you know, slightly objective here, I suppose.
30:51Or maybe not. Yeah, I mean, well, like, I try to be as objective as possible, you know, and I like to think I fully am.
30:59But JSN was my wide receiver one in Dynasty last season.
31:02And he remains my wide receiver one. And I know maybe it was rash to throw him right above Chase and everything.
31:09But it's just like, I get a front row seat.
31:12I watch every Seahawks game three times over in the slow-mo.
31:15I watch all the tape. I love it. I even watch the defensive tape, you know?
31:20And like, this is just a guy that is completely unstoppable.
31:23He's quarterback proof. You know, I think like that's the only thing you can make the argument.
31:28Like, Jamar Chase has struggled in the past when Burrow goes out.
31:32And JSN has not skipped a beat. Drew Locke comes in.
31:35And the man is setting records. I mean, he goes out this week nine for 155, three touchdowns, you know?
31:41And he just is unstoppable. He's absolutely unstoppable. So he's young.
31:45He's got everything you could ever want in a Dynasty asset.
31:48You know, a big reason I had him as Dynasty wide receiver one going into the season.
31:53Casey was the minute he signed that contract. I looked at, you know, the entire details here.
31:58And for those of you that don't know, he already has a fifth-year option, which he's not on yet.
32:04So this year. Then he has next year his fifth-year option.
32:07The new contract doesn't even kick in until after that.
32:10And you had four years. So for those of you that aren't math majors out there, he's 24.
32:15He's going to be Seattle's wide receiver one until he is minimum age 30, almost 31 years old.
32:21And at that point, I would imagine you've either gotten multiple top 10 finishes out of him, if not wide receiver one finishes out of him.
32:28And it's also just about organizational trust. I talked about Detroit earlier.
32:32Like, I see the building blocks in Seattle. You know, like this is one of the youngest rosters in the NFL.
32:38Devin Witherspoon, Byron Murphy. Like, you know, I could go on and on and on.
32:43But it's like, I think the Seahawks are going to be competitive for a long time.
32:48And I think JSN is going to be competitive on the Seahawks for a long time.
32:52Why would I not draft him as my top wide receiver?
32:56Yeah, I mean, coming into the season, I got Chase 106, JSN 107, and Pugo at 108.
33:01Right. So they're all I got them all together in a tier there.
33:05But I certainly cannot make an argument for JSN not being the overall wide receiver one right now.
33:10QB proof is a very good thing. But I would I would just recall this back and then we can move on
33:16as just kind of in the beginning of the conversation that we were having.
33:21We were talking about moving quarterbacks too fast and then, you know, maybe being on patient with other players quickly.
33:27And like there is a swath of people out there who had JSN and let them go because they didn't like for
33:33whatever reason they were grew impatient that the usage was bad.
33:36The environment was bad. They were misplacing. Waldron had this all wrong.
33:40And now we got a screen plan. Screen passes to the flat was not the formula.
33:45OK, it was not the formula. Dude, I just, you know, and it was, you know, this is Dynasty and it's patience.
33:51And it's something that we try to preach as much as we can.
33:55And sometimes maybe it's too much patience, but I'd rather have too much than not enough in this scenario.
34:01I know it's not cool or trendy or fun to talk about, but in a lot of those cases, especially JSN, it
34:08has worked out well to say, hey, pump the brakes.
34:10It'll be all right. That was bad usage. It was misusage.
34:14And here we are talking about him as, you know, almost undoubtedly the wide receiver one right now or where we've kind of started in the season.
34:22So, all right, from somebody who we needed to have a little bit more patience from to somebody who we didn't need a whole lot of patience from.
34:30And now we've had to have a whole lot of patience from and a lot of people have sort of just disowned this man.
34:37Deshaun Watson comes out and has a very respectable game for the Cleveland Browns after a very poor showing week one, although
34:44there were a few OK passes down the stretch at the end of that game.
34:48And week one comes out, kind of takes the layups, moves the ball around, doesn't do anything crazy, doesn't turn it over.
34:55You didn't want a whole lot of head scratching plays from Watson, which was but and there could be so many different
35:02reasons how and why Watson was playing the way he was.
35:05One, well, there was a lot of injuries, too.
35:07There was obviously just a dark cloud of whether agreed or not agreed.
35:11I don't know how anybody could agree, but generally with what took place from a human being standpoint was not great.
35:18And that seems to at least have sort of dissipated somewhat where it's not at the forefront of every conversation.
35:24Now, of course, it still will be there, but that's kind of gone away.
35:28And he seems relatively healthy. Munkins kind of put a little belief in him.
35:32There was obviously ability there. So how much are we buying into Deshaun Watson here after this one resurgence here?
35:38Or is this an immediate sell stand? This is an immediate sell for me.
35:42But again, I think it's just in general. I want very few pieces of the Browns offense now outside of Denzel Boston,
35:49who I think hopefully we're going to talk about a little bit here, has shown some nice flashes early.
35:54Really liked him at the University of Washington. Thought he was NFL translatable.
35:58That being said, I'll take almost anything I can get for Deshaun Watson.
36:02Like, I think if I can add a third to Deshaun.
36:05Oh, yeah. Yeah. Take Kirk? I would, but it's because I trust Kubiak.
36:09And I hate to turn it back to real-life football every single time, but that's what we play, right?
36:15Fantasy is just the output of that. And the Raiders look good through two games.
36:19So, yeah, I'll take Cousins. Yeah, and you could, I kind of threw him in there first just because, you know, you
36:26could kind of see their plights of both of them having to go kind of playing for something else next year for
36:33probably not being on the respected teams that they're on.
36:36Kirk started a little hotter. Deshaun, you know, it's the Browns.
36:39But all right. So Geno Smith or you would take Geno?
36:42I'd take Geno. Yeah. Okay. How about J.J. McCarthy?
36:45No. No. No. No, sir. I just. I'm with you.
36:48I'm with you on all those. I'm with you on all those.
36:51You go to Carson Wentz, like, before you're going to your first round pick, I think I'm just, I'm good on that one.
36:58Okay. So you mentioned Denzel Boston. I have Casey ranked ahead of Denzel coming into this, but I was very firm on how much I like Denzel Boston.
37:07And to, again, have patience with where the Browns are going, because I like to use your phrase.
37:12You see the building blocks right now to where the Browns are.
37:16If we could just get QB play this, this offense elevates to a level.
37:20We haven't seen. This is a Jacksonville and waiting if they can get the right environment in place, I think.
37:26And so Denzel Boston, like right now I had him ranked, you know, slightly below like A.J.
37:31Brown, Devonta Smith, Jalen Waddle. Would you trade any of those players for Boston currently?
37:35No, I don't think I'm there yet, but there's definitely a range right underneath that that I feel very comfortable exploring Denzel Boston trades for.
37:43I think that's like the Alec Pierce's of the world, the Jameson Williams of the world.
37:47Like those guys are firmly in the conversation for me.
37:50Okay. And Parker Washington? No, I'll hold Parker Washington.
37:53Okay. Parker Washington is too low in my rankings right now, but I haven't adjusted him yet.
37:58So, yeah, I'm right there with you. So I wanted to get a little.
38:02Has Boston surpassed? And I don't know if he already had.
38:06Has he surpassed KC for you? Yes. And I had him neck and neck in my rookie rankings.
38:11I will say, and I hate to be this guy, I trusted Denzel Boston's prospect profile a bit more, but I watched a lot more Denzel Boston.
38:19And so that's the issue, right? I'm a University of Washington guy.
38:23So I got to watch every snap from Boston.
38:25Now, I still watch plenty of tape on all the prospects coming out, but I didn't exactly watch end-to-end games of KC Concepcion.
38:32And so for that reason, I liked Boston more.
38:35Now, I still had Concepcion higher because I do trust all the other scouts out there and what I had seen and
38:41potentially some of the gadget usage that could have been employed there and everything.
38:46But I think what we've seen so far, and it's reactionary, but Denzel Boston seems to have a bit more of a
38:52translatable skill set for what the Browns are doing right now.
38:55Yeah. I always kind of put it as easier.
38:58He's going to be the de facto one, but it doesn't mean that KC can't lead in volume.
39:04Right? Yeah, and I think that once, and this is why so much needs to be figured out in Cleveland, right, KC?
39:10It's like if you get a good quarterback there and you start having guys that can have PPR floors and the quarterback
39:17can start dishing and actually rack up those pass attempts, yeah, KC Concepcion could very quickly jump that, right?
39:22Just from a floor perspective. And Boston becomes kind of the X or the touchdown upside, heavy hitter, deep threat.
39:28And those guys are going to have hot and cold games.
39:32But at least from where we are today, I prefer Denzel Boston, yes.
39:35Yeah, and I'm looking at my rankings right now.
39:38And I know I've been, you know, hey, don't make too many moves, but Brian Thomas got to be a big, got
39:45to be a big adjustment, maybe even right after this show.
39:48So, all right. Carolina Panthers put up another 30 spot this week, this time in a win.
39:53But we talked about it a little bit last week.
39:56The funnel to Coker and Tet continues. And you had mentioned it kind of to leave the show off.
40:02Bryce Young seems to be kind of picking up where he left off last year.
40:06Now, again, they lost in the first week to the Bears and they, you know, they beat up the Falcons, which they tend to do, it seems.
40:14But where are we standing with Bryce? Because he was somebody who I was just very on the fence with.
40:20Let me check out my ranking here. Looks like, you know, kind of got him right around Daniel Jones, Sam Donald, Kyler Murray.
40:27So, if we kind of pick up where we've been putting down for the rest of this episode, Bryce Young or let's
40:34just put it Bryce Young or Daniel Jones. Are you believing in the breakout that we're seeing from Kyler?
40:39So, Bryce Young or Daniel Jones? I thought Daniel Jones looked a lot better week two than week one.
40:45He did look a lot better. I think I'm going to take Bryce Young here.
40:49And it's recency bias for sure. I was very low on Bryce Young a few months ago.
40:55But, you know, it's a contract year, man. These contract years, like money talks, players really start putting their head together.
41:01And I think Bryce is out there saying, I got to earn my spot in this league and prove I can be a guy.
41:08And you're starting to see some Alabama Bryce, as Shev would say.
41:12Old Bama Bryce has looked. He looks confident, right?
41:14And that's just so big in any position, but the quarterback position especially.
41:18Unfortunately, we haven't really been able to see Sam Darnold and Kyler in there.
41:22But would you be interested in swapping Bryce out for either of those two guys?
41:27I think I'm still going to hold Sam Darnold.
41:29That's my Seahawks fandom shining through. But not really.
41:32I think, you know, what a lot of people forget.
41:35And I know it's fantasy football, right? So these points didn't matter for you.
41:39But when Sam Darnold put his I'm going to be super serious hat on at the end of the year last year,
41:46he had zero turnovers in the playoffs and looked lights out doing it.
41:50Right. And that's a huge reason the Seahawks won the Super Bowl.
41:53And we haven't seen Sam Darnold to start the year this year, which is unfortunate.
41:58Right. I think I was very excited to see what a continuous system looked like for Sam Darnold.
42:03I mean, I know you lose Kubiak, but the same team, the same weapons, the same receivers, you're building rapport in that
42:10room for the first time in your career, really, where you have some stability here.
42:14And I still think Sam Darnold is a great talent.
42:17He just hasn't had any continuity in his career and the ability to really set that foundation and then build from it.
42:24And so I think you were starting to see that in the playoffs last year.
42:28And then with no Kenneth Walker in the building and Zach Charbonnet recovering from the injury and a rookie running back being
42:35in the room, I did think Brian Flory was going to say, hey, Sam, air the ball out.
42:40Right. So I'll go Sam Darnold there. But yeah, Bryce Young, he's looking really good.
42:45And I think it's going to be very interesting to watch how the rest of this year goes.
42:50I mean, some very notable things for Bryce Young that I liked.
42:54Five of seven on his deep passes yesterday. Looks really good.
42:57161 yards out of those. You know, I think that's a big part of his game.
43:02If he can put that together again, we're talking a different conversation here on Bryce Young.
43:06Yeah, I've been, you know, again, I think it's just the confidence.
43:10We've liked, you know, kind of what the coach can be from an OC perspective.
43:15But I wasn't sure if he was more of a coordinator face or not.
43:19But this has been an OK start to what we've seen.
43:22And I thought they played a hell of a game.
43:25Last time we saw him in 2025 against the Rams, gave him everything they could have.
43:30Coker picked right back up where he was at.
43:32So you would take Sammy D over Bryce Young.
43:35Kyler? I had. I'm going to sit on the fence on this one, Casey, and just say, I don't know, because we
43:42haven't seen Kyler play a single game yet. Like, I want to see Kyler do something in a purple uniform before I'm
43:48going to write him off or not. And you were you're a bit lower on Cam than I was at the start of the season.
43:56But Cam Ward or Bryce Young? It's neck and neck.
43:59And that's crazy to say. But I think I think I'm going to take Bryce Young at this exact moment.
44:05And I know a lot of people are not going to like that.
44:09But I think the reason for that, Casey, is if he keeps playing well and the Panthers re-sign him, well, it looks
44:15like he's got a good system going in Carolina now.
44:18Tet, Coker, like he's starting to get some confidence there.
44:21But if he doesn't and he tests free agency, the odds he lands with a better team than the Titans is high
44:28because you don't have to be that good to be better than the Titans.
44:32Yeah, yeah, it's true. I will say we're not going to get into any Titans or Eagles.
44:37I don't think talk today, but there were glimpses in that game where they got in a rhythm and the Titans were excited generally.
44:44And Cam was putting the ball where it needed to be.
44:47And they had some drives. I will say it looks like my Wondell calls and plays are not looking great to start
44:54the season, although that was a much better showing from Tennessee than we saw week one.
44:59I just got eliminated in a chopped league this week that I run in commission because of Wondell Robinson.
45:04I'm going to put it entirely on that. It's Wondell and Pittman.
45:08You know, I was high on both those guys.
45:11So I punted wide receiver too long and I paid the price dearly.
45:14No Pittman this week. Wondell and another subpar performance and your boys getting chopped case.
45:19Are we are we hanging on? Are we are we hanging on to Stroud instead of instead of Bryce Young?
45:25I'll hang on to Stroud. Yeah, same. Yeah, same.
45:28I'm still I haven't moved. I don't think I'm adjusting Bryce Young just yet from kind of where I had him pre
45:34but I'm feeling more and more confident about it.
45:37It was good to see Daniel Jones kind of bounce back again.
45:40We haven't seen Sam and Kyler and I would still keep Stroud probably a tier ahead of Bryce Young, even though, you know, maybe he's coming for him.
45:49All right. Real quick before we leave the Panthers here by sell hold on on Coker.
45:54You got to be holding them right now. I mean until until Bryce Young gets off this gravy train he's on you just got to ride it.
46:02Yeah, and I don't I just it just feels like like you said, you know, there's it's just going to be a funnel to these two guys.
46:10Waller seems to be getting involved in the red zone right now.
46:13He hasn't been there that long, but I mean just and I think Coker kind of earned it down the stretch last
46:20year and it's nice to see it pick right back up.
46:23And you know, he he saw more targets than or I think he had more yards.
46:28It's the target. No, it's the target volume. I think is where you're at there.
46:32I believe he had nine targets again this week and it's like if you're approaching double digit targets back to back weeks
46:39and you looked good at the end of last season.
46:42You're starting to win me over here that this is a more of a predictable outcome has had some then good catches
46:49in both games right that were that were in big spots where they they needed it.
46:53And Ted out out targeted in this game and out yardage in this game, but Coker out had more receptions through this
47:00game and was one off on target. So really close.
47:03But again, I just see this as a funnel all year.
47:06So I'm buying and holding either one or two of those guys.
47:10The other player in this offense. We saw Brooks go down.
47:13Seems like he's going to be OK. Is Chuba so right now.
47:17Chuba is a hold cell. If you are running back needy, you got to just keep keep playing him because he looks good.
47:23But if I have Chuba on my bench right now and I feel good about my running back room, I'll probably shop
47:30him and take some liquidity there and just say, all right, I don't need the rental because I still don't know if
47:37he's a long term option for you in dynasty.
47:39I don't think he is. Yeah. Yeah. No, I'm I think I think if you're a competitor, I feel like he's he's
47:46going to be solid for you most most of the year here.
47:49And again, if this train kind of keeps rolling and this offense can be just decent all year, then I think he'll be a very viable option.
47:57So sort of for you. The question is, does Bryce Young keep throwing touchdowns at the rate he's throwing him at?
48:04Because fun little nugget for you. I read this earlier today, Casey.
48:07Back to back three touchdown games to open the season has only been done one other time in Panthers franchise history.
48:14So Bryce Young, he's doing some good stuff right now.
48:17And if that that keeps rolling, then I'm going to be hard pressed to be selling any of these.
48:22Right. Exactly. All right. A couple more things before we get to the kind of panic meter buy sell stuff here.
48:28And again, that may be on a separate episode.
48:31So don't be alarmed if this episode just sort of ends.
48:34We didn't talk about the Chiefs last week. And obviously, they caught another primetime game here.
48:39And, you know, I want to I felt like the Chiefs.
48:43Obviously, you get fatigue over a team. And if the Seahawks stay good, we'll get fatigue over them, too.
48:48We've seen it in the past. Unfortunately, they're very good right now.
48:52But I thought what we saw, what we've seen, the idea of the Chiefs from the offseason and then come in and
48:58execute exactly sort of what we've been talking about at the FFD all offseason of just like, hey, there has been no
49:05threat of a run game for so long. And they kind of then were now relying on a defense.
49:11Well, now they're a really young team. Spags is still there.
49:14Defense is still very capable. But what we saw from Patrick from game one to game two was excellent.
49:20There was a throw to Xavier Worthy in that game that he ended up dropping, but was an absolute missile.
49:25And, you know, Tirico was given Collinsworth a bit of a hard time about it through through the you know, he's like, go ahead, go ahead.
49:33But what I just saw from them is just what Patrick Patrick has had to put this team on his back for
49:40offensively through the last couple of seasons. Obviously, after we saw him and the enemy leave with Tyreek, it's been it's been a little bit different ballgame.
49:48And Patrick has taken a lot of bullets, especially from a lot of the fantasy spreadsheet guys.
49:53It's just like, well, he's his deep ball accuracy.
49:56And what he threw some deep balls last night that look pretty damn accurate to me.
50:00And it's just like it changes the math when the Chiefs are actually going to come out here and stick to a
50:07run game, take the easy check downs to the back.
50:10And now, oh, look, all of a sudden now this receiving core that everybody was killing.
50:15It's like, oh, they're fine. They're just fine. And their rookie, Emma Johnson, looks great.
50:19Kelsey looks like he went from being, you know, gotten gotten to a good shape for the for the wedding, for the tux fitting there.
50:27And looks good. So what is your take on?
50:29And we'll do a little bit of Kenny Walker rankings, but I just wanted to get a general.
50:35I was Patrick Mahomes was a buy for me all the last two years.
50:39Right. And, you know, comes out and the over under the what we saw before the game was like 200 yards on DraftKings.
50:46And that basically hadn't done that in four games.
50:48And then he comes out and puts up 384 in this one or whatever it was.
50:53And I just I just I love seeing that.
50:56Hey, we committed to the run. Now. Now you have this dynamic player who just doesn't have to carry it.
51:02But I think it just get for so long.
51:05You could just play the shell against them. That was just like, hey, we know kind of what's coming.
51:10They're not going to run the ball. And now it's completely changing everything.
51:14And I just feel like as much as I want to hate the Chiefs, I can I can appreciate good football.
51:20A hundred percent. No, I couldn't be more with you on this one in the sense that I feel very vindicated on
51:27my Chiefs takes all offseason, even though, like like you said, you know, they're an easy team to hate.
51:33So it's like, damn, the Chiefs are so good again.
51:36But like, yeah, Mahomes, just just for for public knowledge, I had him as Dynasty QB five all offseason.
51:41He's still sitting on my rankings as Dynasty QB five.
51:44KTC has him at 12. Sleeper had him at 11 going into this year, you know, on Superflex quarterbacks.
51:50So like, you know, materially higher than the community was Patrick Mahomes.
51:53But I think it's just, you know, we talked about it several times this show.
51:58Like I watch football. I know how good Patrick Mahomes is.
52:01Like sometimes I know the fantasy stats aren't always going to get out there.
52:05And like you said, these Excel number crunchers, like sometimes that just doesn't matter.
52:10You know, like give me the eye test to give me the what I know is true.
52:15And I know Patrick Mahomes is a top talent.
52:17So yes, Patrick Mahomes is fantastic. He looks great.
52:20Secondly, real quick. Yeah, I'm just seeing I got QB six for my for me.
52:25So I'm right there with you, man. So, you know, great minds, Casey.
52:28Great minds. Yeah, great minds. Also knew Kenneth Walker was an absolute dog.
52:32It was being kept down in Seattle. And look, I love my team.
52:36I've been glazing the CX. So you guys can roast me in the comments.
52:40But like, well, I will be critical of my team.
52:43I was very upset about the non signing of Kenneth Walker.
52:47I felt we had the cap space to do it.
52:50I wanted to see him come back. And I really wanted to see this team let him take the training wheels off
52:56because they kept him at bay for so long.
52:59And that playoff run was like me opening Christmas presents and being like, oh, this guy who I've been sitting on the
53:05Internet telling people is a top five running back talent is a top five running back talent and led them to a
53:12Super Bowl and won a Super Bowl MVP. And then to start the year this year, I mean, you know, anyone can
53:19get out here and pedal stats at you. But like 24 of 29 carries last night.
53:23He had 10 targets, caught six passes on that.
53:26Like he is an utter workhorse. He is unequivocally a top five fantasy running back at this point.
53:31And Casey, one last thing I wanted to point out, because, again, real life football matters so much.
53:37And when the game went to overtime, OK, the final overtime drive, three straight carries to Kenneth Walker before that big catch.
53:43Like, I just think that screams volumes to me, Casey.
53:46It's like, who do you want to give the ball to?
53:50You give the ball to Walker over and over and over again.
53:53And I think they're going to ride him until the wheels fall off.
53:57And like, yeah, if you own him in fantasy, you're not you're not plucking him off my lineup for anything right now.
54:04No. And we'll we'll hit a couple of rankings before we get out of here with Kenny Walker here.
54:09But, you know, there was some some today some clips floating around of a we want to get involved and we'll take a little load off of Kenny.
54:18And I think that's being misconstrued. You know, people are, wow, it's going to go back to 50 50.
54:23Like they paid Kenny. He's great. Like they love what they're seeing in Emmett Johnson.
54:28That's great. You should take a little bit of load off of Kenny.
54:32But, you know, last last night we saw these couple of drives with with Emmett Johnson and there was still plenty of volume for Kenny.
54:39So I wouldn't be terribly scared off of that.
54:42Shout out to the FFD boys and Chev and Jeremiah.
54:45We were we all loved Emmett Johnson through the offseason.
54:48And, you know, sometimes it pays off. Sometimes it does.
54:51Sometimes it's Caleb Johnson. Sometimes it's Emmett Johnson. But he looks great.
54:54I thought Di Mercado would have this job there as the two.
54:58And he he he run ran him off. But he looks awesome.
55:02And, you know, it's unfortunate that, you know, Kenny Walker looks so good that we're probably going to be delayed on any
55:08Emmett Johnson value unless, you know, we get the unfortunate injury.
55:11But still great to have that kind of bullet in your holster there.
55:15So shout out Emmett Johnson and the boys for that one.
55:19But let's do some some Kenny Walker kind of last we've been doing throughout this episode here.
55:24So, yeah, I had him sort of right in line with a Travion in Dynasty around the fifth round in line with Travion Chase Brown.
55:31I had Bucky Irving very high and that's looking good right now.
55:35But like kind of in that range at this point, though, I mean, he's blown way past those guys.
55:40I mean, obviously, he's 25 will be 26. But is is he is he in the likings of Jonathan Taylor and James Cook right now?
55:48Has he earned enough in your mind dynasty wise to be like, hey, I'm up on this pedestal with these bona fide workhorses right now?
55:55Well, look, I know I'm a Seahawks fan. So, again, I had a front row seat to Kenneth Walker.
56:01This is from before the season. All right. I'm looking at a screenshot I have here from my player rankings before week one.
56:08I had Kenneth Walker at RB nine and Dynasty, which I took some flack for.
56:12I had him above Chase Brown, Brees Hall, Saquon Barkley, like Chris McCaffrey, you know, Judkins, Kyron, all of them.
56:18Right. And the only, you know, tier that I had him right below was he was at the top of this tier.
56:25And the break above him was James Cook, Jonathan Taylor and Amari and Hampton.
56:29Those are the next three in line. I would say comfortably right now.
56:33And in it's not even a question for me.
56:36I'm taking him ahead of JT and James Cook.
56:38So if a startup happened tomorrow, he's now at the top of that tier.
56:42And I think genuinely now looking at those rankings and that screenshot again, I got Hampton, Jeremiah Love and Devon Achan.
56:49There's a very real world where I'm taking him above Amari and Hampton.
56:53And I know we're going to talk maybe about the Chargers offense here or in the next episode.
56:58But like, if we're looking at Dynasty rankings now and you've got Gibbs, Bajon, Gentty, Achan, and then Jeremiah Love, you can call it recency bias.
57:06You can call it whatever you want. There's a really good chance I'm just taking Kenneth Walker right after Jeremiah Love there.
57:12Like, I mean, I've seen enough from the Chargers at this point that I'm like, does Jim Harbaugh have the sauce?
57:18Like, does Justin Herbert have the sauce? Like, what's going on in that building?
57:23I might just take Walker over Hampton and say, eh, I'm getting two years older, but this guy's got contract insulation.
57:29He's with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. Like, I just don't care.
57:33I want to win a championship. Exactly. Like, I've been very high on Taylor and keeping him that way and being fine
57:39with drafting him, especially, you know, obviously if I'm drafting him, I'm going to be in a, I'll put myself in a position to be competitive.
57:47You're not drafting him to, you know, sort of productive struggle your way into anything necessarily.
57:52So you're getting a little younger in that regard with the usage that we're seeing.
57:56And, you know, the FFD has always been a Kenny Walker show, even when he couldn't catch.
58:01And even when, you know, this or that, just, hey, this is one of those ones where patience has now paid off
58:08if you've been able to hold Kenny for this long through some injuries.
58:12And now, again, week two injuries happen. But you're mentioning Amari on Hampton.
58:15So you're saying generally right now, if we had the swipes up on the screen, you would take Kenny Walker over Hampton.
58:22Yeah. And again, I know that everyone is going to think this is all reactionary.
58:27No, I watched Kenneth Walker for years and I would have told you even at the beginning of this year before the
58:33offseason that from a talent perspective, I've seen Kenneth Walker do things on the football field that I've never seen Amari at Hampton do.
58:40And that doesn't always mean that you're going to be the most efficient back out there.
58:45There was plenty of times I knocked Kenneth Walker for trying to bounce it to the outside when he's already been knocked
58:52six yards back from the line of scrimmage because Seattle's offensive line was Garbo for years.
58:56And then he'd lose another eight yards on top of that when he should have just gone down and taken the four yard tackle for a loss.
59:04But like he's also done that where he bounces it and runs 20 full yards across the field before even going one
59:11yard forward and then gains 15 yards. Right. And it's like that is the level of talent you're playing with.
59:17And it was always going to be, will the situation match it?
59:21Will the role match it? Will they uncork him?
59:23Will the injuries stop? Can he get a good offensive line?
59:27You know, I mean, we talked about at the beginning of the show, Casey, like sports is an amalgamation of a million
59:33different variables and factors that all have to line up correctly.
59:36And I, you know, we might say this is too early to make the claim, but it looks like Kansas City is
59:43that perfect mixture that you needed for Kenneth Walker.
59:46Right. You've got an elite quarterback. You've got a great play caller.
59:49You've got a good offensive line with one of the best centers in the game.
59:54And, you know, like this is I still have pain from the Seahawks not drafting Creed Humphrey because he was the number
60:00one center on my board and we passed him and we ended up going with all the Timmy or whatever.
60:06Who's now a backup riding pine all to be said.
60:09Look, I'm with you. I think at this point and again, reactionary, but I think there's no reason that Kenny Walker shouldn't
60:16at least be up there with with the cooks and the tailors.
60:19If we're, you know, with this sort of usage and I mean, the talent was never different.
60:24It was just, are we going to be healthy?
60:27Are we going to get this usage? We're seeing it.
60:30It's there. And then on the other, like the receiving part of this, you know, and were they going to throw him
60:37the ball and throw it in the ball? Right, right.
60:40They're sticking. They paid him and they're sticking to exactly what they said they were going to do, which we've kind of had some questions answered now.
60:48Emmett may mix in there and that's fine. There's not that many situations where that James Cook gets somebody mixed in with him.
60:55Hampton gets somebody mixed in with him. Taylor gets somebody mixed in sort of.
60:59So how about HN? And I had HN, you know, as the fourth RB off the board this year.
61:04Obviously, it's not going so well in Miami right now.
61:07I think they'll figure it out. They got him plenty of volume this week, even though it didn't work out.
61:13And I think there'll be better days ahead for HN.
61:16Would you take Kenny Walker over HN? I don't think I would.
61:20I think it's I think I'd still slightly lean HN.
61:23But what I will say, and I know now we're getting into the nitty gritty of it is like this is the same argument.
61:30I think I would go back to the Drake London thing for like it might be as close as a one to pick swap.
61:37Like if I could go HN in the second for Walker and a first, I think I'm doing that.
61:43I mean, I'd love to do Walker in a first for HN just purely.
61:47And I think you would have gotten that deal done comfortably in the three weeks ago.
61:52Right. Yeah. Yeah. So I think it depends on how much people are sticking to their offseason rankings right now.
61:58And if you got truthers out there that are like, no, HN still top three back in Dynasty.
62:03Well, then, yeah, send those offers today. I'll congratulate you on Twitter after.
62:07All right. We got like a few minutes here and we'll wrap this one up and then we'll just we'll start a
62:14new show for the next one because we've been running well.
62:17We've been running along. We'll tighten these up. We'll get them a little shorter as we move forward.
62:22But there's so much to talk about right now.
62:25So if the NFL just so interesting. Yeah. All right.
62:28Chargers are just looking like a mess. So we'll save a Jonah Coleman chat maybe for the next conversation.
62:34But let's talk about Herbert and this Chargers team because it still looks bad.
62:38It still looks like a mess. Generally, what is the concern level for the Chargers and Justin Herbert?
62:43It's bad. It's bad. And again, I sometimes feel like this is just a bunch of you and I, you know, peddling victories.
62:50But I was a firm like real quick. Yeah.
62:53If you don't, nobody's going to give. And I don't like doing it.
62:57I'm not going to take a bunch of victory laps.
63:00I'm certainly not going to do it on Twitter.
63:02But like when I'm when we're on the show, you kind of have to allude a little bit to like, hey, and
63:09I'll tell you what I'm wrong, too. It's not for sure.
63:12But you have you have to you know, I don't want to.
63:16I'm wrong all the time. I just got chopped, guys.
63:19I just got chopped. OK, I was all in on one deal.
63:22All right. It didn't happen. But no, I mean, I was a firm like tear off Justin Herbert this offseason.
63:28Like I just I thought his dynasty value was overinflated.
63:31And I know the Harbaugh comments out there getting this man MVPs and whatever is just like, whatever.
63:37I'm a Seahawks fan. I'm not exactly Jim Harbaugh's number one fan either.
63:40So, you know, from my 2010 days, those Niners matchups all being said, like, yeah, I just this Chargers offense is bad.
63:47That's it. Like send tweet like I don't have anything else.
63:50It's a bad offense, Casey. It doesn't look good.
63:53No, and I don't know what the fix is.
63:56I don't I can't put my finger on it.
63:58Herbert just looks bad. Like it just doesn't look good.
64:01And I've been a Herbert defender as far as, you know, last year and propping him up and saying, hey, I think
64:08I think it's going to be fine. I think he was too low.
64:12Now I may have had him a little too high.
64:15I've got him eight right now. I had him eight and coming into the season.
64:19So I really liked him. There's the legs are there.
64:22And I really liked what, you know, obviously I'm a Niners guy, Mike coming in and this offense.
64:28And, you know, obviously that nobody looks good on that.
64:31This looks bad. It doesn't look like a fit.
64:33Doesn't look like it's working. I don't know if Herbert's disinterested or what or they don't vibe or I don't know what
64:40it is, but I can't really put my finger on it.
64:43At least we saw Hampton get a decent volume this week, which maybe put a sigh of relief in that situation.
64:49But hey, look, I mean, the joke bailed out to man.
64:53Like, I think what people are missing is the execution has been awful.
64:57They've had six fumbles, but they've only lost one of them.
65:00Yeah, Casey. Well, then they had the Joku play where he, you know, they threw it to him.
65:05It was an okay throw. And he kind of, you know, just throws it up in the air.
65:11But six fumbles through two weeks and you've only lost one of them.
65:14I mean, Casey, imagine how bad we'd be talking about this offense is if five of those were recovered by the defense.
65:21Like, yeah, you are talking about an absolutely abysmal start to the season when all things considered.
65:26So just to keep the theme of the episode on the way out, basically, we kind of did a lot of rankings
65:33by sell hold sort of stuff here. But are you taking Jalen Hurts over Justin Herbert?
65:37Absolutely. I have stuck by Jalen Hurts' side. I think it's ridiculous that the community hates him so much.
65:43And generally, you know, I don't really understand it.
65:46He's just, you saw yesterday. They needed it. He did it.
65:49You know, and it's just in the spots where you want him to do things he normally does.
65:54And even in the Super Bowl loss in the big, put a ridiculous day up.
65:59So I'm a firm believer in Jalen Hurts. They're going to have their growing pains, too, from a new offensive perspective.
66:05But how about, how about, who else? All right.
66:08Behind them, I have Brock Purdy would be the next quarterback ranked.
66:11Yeah, I'll take Brock. Tearing, tearing down, like, maybe not right this minute, but generally, you could have gotten a first round pick in Brock.
66:19First, I think so. Yeah, for sure. Or at least, you know, like, for the believers, at least you could have gotten a Parker Washington.
66:26You know, you probably could have gotten Parker Washington or Tootin or Waddle.
66:30You know, something like that in between. Absolutely. Would you go as far as a Jackson Dart?
66:35Yeah. Oh, yeah. Call me crazy, Casey, but I'm looking at my preseason screenshot here.
66:40Preseason rankings, I had Jackson Dart at QB6. Jalen Hurts, QB7.
66:43Justin Herbert, QB9. I know that that was maybe preemptive, but I love that Russian upside.
66:48And I just, I was all there. Yeah. I came in very passive on Dart.
66:52I've got him at 401. So he's behind Purdy, Nixon, Lawrence.
66:56Yeah. I mean, I had Dart, Hurts, and Trevor Lawrence all ahead of Justin Herbert.
67:00I had Justin Herbert one spot ahead of Joe Burrow, believe it or not, at QB9.
67:05So that, what would be the lowest? I mean, obviously, if you're going, if you're starting to go that little bit lower
67:11there, you're starting to get pick values back. But like, is there any, is there a, is that about where we would
67:18draw the line of saying, hey, I don't want to go any further than like, Knicks, Purdy, Lawrence, Dart?
67:24No, but I'm a degenerate. And I was out here yelling at you about Jared Goff a minute ago.
67:29And like this offseason, a big thing I preached and I stand by it is I said comfortably, and I made this trade.
67:36Okay. I made this trade. I don't just talk it.
67:39I walk it. I went from Justin Herbert to Jared Goff and Brace Hall.
67:43And I got that deal done and I felt very fine doing it.
67:47And like, I don't feel bad about it today either.
67:50Yeah. Well, I'm very vindicated to start the season.
67:53We'll check back week eight. Yeah. Check. All right.
