Player insights

20

Blake Corum

PositiveValue3:35

Ranked RB21 overall for Week 7; less obvious flex option than Kyron Williams in Rams backfield; provides edge play against Raiders; benefits from potential Puka Nakua injury limiting passing game and expanding run game opportunities.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveProjection2:10

Smash play against Panthers defense in Week 7; benefits from Mecole Hardman's concussion and other physical injuries to Buccaneers depth; Baker Mayfield's return to practice shifts dynamic favorably for Tampa Bay offense.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeProjection7:31

Fade candidate versus Steelers, who rank 6th in pass defense; target share has declined significantly from 13, 10, 13, and 12 targets in weeks one through four down to 6, 7, and 6-7 targets in recent weeks; international game conditions and field quality concerns add additional downside risk.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeProjection8:36

Fade candidate versus Cardinals, who rank 23rd in pass defense; has received only three targets over the last two weeks; Bo Nix's poor play continues to be a limiting factor for Sutton's fantasy upside.

Insight page
PositiveRole11:08

Cortland Sutton is a must-start at wide receiver; the speaker expresses confidence in his role and production outlook.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout9:05

Denzel Boston is positioned for a monster day against Tennessee Titans, who rank 24th against wide receivers. Boston has emerged as a true alpha receiver, resurrecting Deshaun Watson's production in the process. The Titans' highest-paid free agency corner was benched last week and may be disgruntled or subject to trade, creating a favorable matchup for Boston to break out.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

NegativeBust7:18

Straight fade this week against Kansas City Chiefs. Zach Charbonnet has been activated from the PUP list and elevated, severely limiting Emmanuel Wilson's ceiling and opportunity in the backfield.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveProjection13:51

Geno Smith is a stream option versus the Dolphins, who rank 25th against the quarterback position; he projects for an easy 20-25 points and is a strong play for those dealing with bye weeks or injuries at the position.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveProjection8:58

Speaker expresses strong conviction in Waddle this week, stating 'this is a one week and this is it'; if Waddle does not produce this week, speaker will reconsider his bullish stance entirely, indicating this is a critical prove-it week for the receiver.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveProjection0:53

Ranked RB9 overall for Week 7; game script independent utility in Saints matchup with 44.5 over/under total; trusted despite Rico Dowdle's return to active roster.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeMatchup8:28

Fade Jonathan Taylor this week against Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings defense under Brian Flores ranks first in running back points allowed and is elite against nearly every position except receivers, creating a brutal matchup for Taylor ahead of next week's trade deadline.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup12:42

Jonathan Taylor is getting an audition with the Vikings against the Colts; the Vikings' 5-0 start has been driven by defense, and this week he will benefit from both defensive dominance and offensive firepower, with the team emphasizing touchdowns and wins.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveProjection13:21

Jordan Love is ranked QB7 this week against the Lions in a game with a 52.5 over-under; the speaker has been accurate all season targeting opponents of the Bills and Lions, and Love is a must-start in this high-scoring matchup.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveRole12:26

Justin Jefferson is healthy off his bye week and in great shape; he received legitimate rest without needing to inject anything to recover, positioning him well for the Saints game.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveMatchup12:09

Kyler Murray is a must-start versus the Colts, who rank 22nd against the quarterback position; the Cardinals have Jordan Addison returning and TJ Hawkinson practicing, supporting a strong offensive setup.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveProjection3:35

Ranked RB6 overall for Week 7 against Raiders defense ranked 26th vs. running backs; chalk play in Rams backfield with strong matchup; benefits from potential Puka Nakua lower body injury limiting passing game options.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

NegativeMatchup11:46

Michael Wilson is a fade versus the Broncos despite back-to-back weeks of 17 and 13 targets; the Broncos rank ninth against wide receivers, but Marvin Harrison Jr.'s presence may have detracted from Wilson's target share, and home field advantage in Arizona is not enough to overcome the matchup concern.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury5:00

Lower body injury reported, potentially calf-related; injury status uncertain but could expand Rams run game with Kyron Williams and Blake Corum if Nakua is unavailable; impacts passing game volume for Matthew Stafford.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveProjection7:18

Positioned as a hero play against Ravens defense ranked 22nd versus wide receiver; speaker expresses strong conviction that Higgins has a shot at finishing as WR1 overall this week despite recent elbow injury; Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey does not appear ready to defend a receiver of Higgins' caliber, and Higgins will also benefit from Ja'Marr Chase drawing coverage.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup12:11

Tee Higgins is positioned favorably in the Bengals-Ravens matchup. The context references Lamar Jackson's involvement and suggests a strong setup for Higgins in this divisional contest.

0:00Welcome back to the Redraft Show brought to you by the FF Dynasty and the FFD Fantasy and today it's that time
0:08of the week again we're here it's week seven we got favorites we got fades I got Coach Shepley Laugh we've got
0:15the plays of the week the guys that you need to build your tickets around on all of the gambling sites responsibly
0:23of course actually there's just one gambling site that you need to go to and that's price picks okay do that use
0:30code HSM I don't know anyway Jason edit that part out or don't whatever it's pretty good so we're gonna we're gonna
0:38hit you today with our favorite our heroes our fades coach is gonna kick us off with the running back position why
0:45don't you tell us about what we're gonna do across the pond in France besides all the writing that's going on yeah
0:53it's gonna be wild for Jalen Warren at the Saints at the Saints as you had mentioned they'll be out in France
1:0032nd verse the running back position are the Saints so give me Jalen Warren so 44 and a half over under total
1:08game no Rico Dowdle has arrived back on the scene but the trust utility is there a game script independent I want
1:15some Jalen Warren so fire him up with some confidence and I believe I have him as my RB9 overall for the
1:23week Shepley so I've got him really really high I don't know where he is in consensus but I've got him high
1:30Bucky Irving at Panthers 28th versus running back position that game also 44 and a half over under but beauty is Shev
1:38it looks like Baker Mayfield he took the podium in the media session he's been practicing it looks like he's going to
1:45return and that just shifts the entire dynamic totally so Bucky Irving against that weekend Panthers defense I actually like the Buccaneers
1:53with Baker Mayfield this is gonna hurt Panthers fans but I think they can cover the spread so I like the idea
2:00of the Buccaneers it's an ugly division not as ugly as the NFC East but I love the idea of Bucky Irving
2:08being a smash play this week especially looks like being down a mechia buco with the concussion and the other physical injury
2:15that he has and then next up stop trying to make Blake Corum happen but the Rams backfield in totality if I
2:23say Kyron Williams people will be like well it's obvious it's Kyron Williams blah blah blah blah but Kyron Williams I actually
2:30have he is RB6 on the week the Raiders are 26 versus the running back position on the show sheet we had
2:38put 36 and we both believed it you know we were like hey that makes sense that's how bad they are I
2:45also have Blake Corum RB21 overall I really think totality the Rams backfield is just going to thrive eat chalk is Kyron
2:53Williams of course but the lesser played player less obvious one which can kind of give you some edge for advice when
3:00you're trying to determine your flex this week roll with Blake Corum and one last note with Pupin Akua it sounds like
3:08he's had some sort of a lower body injury and if it's the calf so if it's the calf and that's not
3:15good we have an opportunity where people think it's going to be canada mom field right well sometimes it's just the players
3:23who are already established and in there and I see an expansion of the run game great matchup for Matthew Stafford you
3:30still want to fire him up in the past game my god if you have no Devante Adams you don't have Puka
3:38Nakua I don't see why Sean McVay wouldn't just double down on Kyron and Blake Corum tell us Shev who should we
3:45be fading at the running back position well we're going to change the paradigm here and we're going to move on to
3:53something that's just a little less pleasant the plays that we don't like this week so same game opposite running back room
4:00flip it smack it down flip it and reverse it we're going Ashton Gentry as a fade this week I don't trust
4:08I just don't trust the health and the Rams have been pretty good against the running back they're 12th against the running
4:15back James Cook did have over 100 yards rushing but that's James Cook Ashton Gentry has he gave you a useful week
4:23last week but the week before it just wasn't and you could clearly see that something's not right with Ashton Gentry right
4:30now so he's going to be a fade for us this week and then we've got Emmanuel Wilson versus the Kansas City
4:38Chiefs we're just straight up not having a good time in addition to the fact that Zach Charbonnet has been activated from
4:45the PUP he's been elevated he's been up it's up it's up it's up he's back yeah the ceiling the ceiling is
4:53not the roof the ceiling is actually the basement floor uh of an underground uh bomb shelter right now so we're not
5:00playing Emmanuel Wilson this week against the Kansas City Chiefs and then last but not least uh the subject of all the
5:08trade rumors ahead of next week's trade deadline at the running back position Jonathan Taylor we're going to fade Jonathan Taylor taking
5:15on the Minnesota the Brian Flores house of horrors at the Vikings this week the first the first running back points allowed
5:23they're basically first against I think every position except for receivers in terms of fantasy points allowed so they're just absolutely putting
5:30people in a blender right now but enough of the negative let's flip it again flip it and we're moving to the
5:38wide receiver position and we've got heroes and we've got a guy that we've been guy that we've been on Jeremiah you
5:45you said the words you spoke the words of truth and power early not well early in the season during late in
5:53the offseason once we started to get the idea that Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston were actual hoopers these guys should have
6:00been four or five rounds drafted earlier than they were and Casey's volumes there but the fantasy points haven't lined up but
6:08Denzel Boston looks every bit the true alpha he's even resurrected Deshaun Watson's career he pulled it from the depths of the
6:16towel bin at the massage parlor back into fruition and now we've got him taking on the Tennessee Titans and they're 24th
6:23against wide receivers I think he's in line for a monster day we just had the Titans highest paid free agency corner
6:31benched last week and maybe he steps out there again maybe he's disgruntled he's a subject to trade rumors but maybe I
6:38think Denzel Boston has a good chance a very good chance to put this over the edge and get that dude out
6:46of town so Denzel Boston taking on the Titans this week is our first hero at the wide receiver position and then
6:53we've got Jeremy Bernard good Jeremy if you will if you're nasty taking on the Saints in Paris we we the Saints
7:01are 16th versus wide receiver he's gotten a massive target share and there's no Michael Pittman and his club foot aren't walking
7:08through the door Roman Wilson just was finger blasting the cement wall and now he's on IR and now you've got Jeremy
7:16Bernard Pat Fryer-Muth and DK Metcalf just all in the ayahuasca den just soaking up all the pop quizzes and the targets
7:23and we've got an opportunity for another double digit target game across the pond for Jeremy Bernard so he's going to be
7:31our second hero at the wide receiver position and then last but not least it's T Higgins it's Ravens it's Bengals it
7:38is Lamar Jackson's back if you just think back if you will to a much simpler time 2024 when Joe Burrow was
7:46healthy and T Higgins Jamar Chase were healthy and Lamar Jackson was healthy and these were just games that would just be
7:5375 point totals and just all the fantasy points that you could possibly imagine guys it's gonna happen again Joe Burrow I
8:01don't mean to spoiler alert Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson are healthy and they're gonna duke it out by two bulls I
8:08feel it in my plums and the Ravens are 22nd versus wide receiver I don't know if you've seen Marlon Humphrey but
8:16that does not look like a man that's ready to defend a receiver the caliber of T Higgins and he's got to
8:23deal with Ja'Marr Chase as well so it's gonna be his turn in the barrel this week we're going T Higgins look
8:31we're gonna we're we're just gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna say it I'm gonna say it okay I'm not gonna say I
8:38don't care that you hurt your elbow that saddens me deeply when when that happens but I will say I think T
8:46Higgins has a shot at finishing wide receiver one overall this week oh yes so I'm gonna I'm gonna let you I'm
8:53gonna let that sizzle in the in the listener spirit real quick why don't you tell us why don't you bring us
9:01back down because I feel like I just dropped a whole just there's so much emotion right now level us off with
9:08some of our fades the guys that the guys that could not give us some optimal outcomes this week Jeremiah at the
9:16wide receiver position the call on T Higgins too and I like how bullish you went with him because anybody can recommend
9:23Jamar Chase but how much are you really pushing that T Higgins is going to hit so great call there Chris Alave
9:31versus Steelers their six wide receiver position he's going to have way too many croissants on this trip and look the last
9:38two weeks it's almost like he's been eating the croissants because we've gone down from 13 10 13 and 12 targets weeks
9:46one through four down to six and seven six seven and now you get the Steelers who are just much more formidable
9:53defense again over under a total 44 and a half and just some shittery happens overseas there's always some crap field conditions
10:01you saw Parker Washington trying to cut other players trying to cut sometimes it's just bullshit fields and I don't know what's
10:08going to happen out there but I just always get a bad feeling about what's in the international games I hate it
10:16it stinks and I hate it Cortland Sutton at the Cardinals 23rd versus wide receiver position Cortland Sutton the last two weeks
10:23three targets only the frustration can just I can't say it enough until the cows come home or they don't because they
10:31don't want to come home and deal with Bo Nix Bo Nix is a problem but you know what he will continue
10:38to be a problem for Cortland Sutton I am not leaving like Leonardo DiCaprio on Jalen Waddle this week this is a
10:46one week and this is it if it does not happen this week I'm selling everything that I ever said about Jalen
10:53Waddle just join me just join me as a Waddle denier it's nice here and you just one more wait okay one
11:01more week one more week but the faith is in on Cortland Sutton and then I look after that I'll be like
11:08I'll be I'm in there I'm tucked though but not yet get in there tuck it tuck it uh continental breakfast this
11:16goes with the continental breakfast I was watching that clip it's so funny I love you feel all right uh and then
11:23one last one there were some people in Paris where like there was a fire behind them and they're just like having
11:31a croissant and some tea yeah and it just made me think of that skit where the explosion hits and he's like
11:38let me put sugar in my coffee and he's totally calm yeah yeah all right off to the side last fade at
11:46the receiver position Michael Wilson versus Broncos they were ninth against wide receiver position you know maybe just maybe Marvin Harrison Jr.
11:53detracted enough to allow Michael Wilson to thrive back-to-back weeks of seven targets we have seen the 17 and the 13 point
12:01or sorry target explosion for Michael Wilson so he is a fade and that one's a little bit tougher because you think
12:09that would be good conditions at home in Arizona but we're going to run the fade on Michael Wilson for heroes Kyler
12:16Murray versus the Colts 22nd versus the quarterback position back home it looks like Jordan Addison is going to be back TJ
12:24Hawkinson is practicing you got Justin Jefferson of course healthy off by week didn't have to inject anything to get right for
12:31that Saints game like he does he got some rest legit rest where I think Justin Jefferson is in great shape you're
12:39going to see the audition for Jonathan Taylor in Minnesota live from the Vikings players hey come over here Jonathan Taylor like
12:46we got touchdowns we have wins and it hasn't been so much about the offense the 5-0 start Shev it's been about
12:54that defense well this week you're going to get a combination of that defense foot in ass on the Colts and then
13:01it's going to be belted ass offensively Kyler Murray and the Vikings fire him up Jordan Love at the Lions 32nd against
13:09the quarterback position and then for my quarterback rankings I have Jordan Love QB7 this week and we're talking about a game
13:16that has a 52 and a half over under and we've been right as rain this whole season Shev as long as
13:24we just look at the opponents of the Bills and the Lions you're thriving so we're just going back with Jordan Love
13:31and then Geno Smith if you want a 20 burger an easy 20 to 25 burger from a quarterback who you have
13:39to stream with all these buys or injuries Geno Smith versus the Dolphins or 25th versus the quarterback position he's going to
13:46spin it spin it spin a stack every minute let's go to the fades Shev tell us the QB thing you got
13:54to get all your fades out of the way get all of them all of them out of the way and the
14:01first fade that we're going to talk about is a guy who's been pretty hot here four touchdowns four total touchdowns last
14:09week but we're putting him we're going to put him on the pine across the pond alliteration aside we're fading Tyler Shuck
14:16this week Steelers are fourth versus a quarterback position they generate pressure at an alarming rate they've got Nick Herbig they've got
14:24Nick Herbig back healthy they've got TJ Watt they've got Alex Highsmith they've got Cameron Cam Hayward absolutely running rough shot over
14:31offensive offensive linemen in year 15 or whatever it is and I don't know if you saw that clip of Yaya Black
14:39for the Steelers and Tristan Wirth talking about how huge each other are but they've got a 370 pound human that moves
14:46other people out of the way uh on a on the reg so that's a recipe for disaster the fade and the
14:54fade on Shuck in week two was because of the fact that this the Ravens generated a lot of pressure I ended
15:01up I ended up eating some stale beignets with that one but we're right back in we're right back there I'm right
15:09there I'm right I'm tucked I'm tucked I'm tucked I'm firmly fading Tyler Shuck this week and we'll move on this one
15:16pains me greatly but it's the right thing to do I got to tell you the truth about it where I wouldn't
15:24be who I am Cam Ward versus the Browns this week the Browns are 15th versus the quarterback position we just saw
15:31them we've seen them flummox the likes of Bryce Young and Tyler Huntley and Cam Ward's playing worse than both of those
15:39guys in addition to the fact that this is a game that I feel like just isn't very this isn't coming off
15:46of a win a bad team usually has a dud I don't think that this is going to be a top 20
15:54performance for Cam Ward and that's not saying a lot but still and then last but not least we're gonna fade Patrick
16:01Mahomes okay we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna put our big boy pants on we're this is a Kenneth hey
16:09you don't bring you don't bring Kool-Aid to a Kenneth Walker party Andy Reid understands the human psychology of American tackle football
16:16and I feel like he's going to he's going to make sure that Kenneth Walker lets the Seattle Seahawks and their GM
16:24John Schneider know that we are hey look you made a mistake you paid Rashid Shaheed you should have paid me that
16:31fucking money let's like just how just saying that out loud how stupid does that sound yeah it makes my ears hurt
16:39but back to back to back to Patrick Mahomes the Seahawks have been second against the quarterback and that's to me is
16:46where I think one they're leaning on the run game heavily potentially no Rasheed Rice again this week no Taequann Thornton you
16:54got some young guys that you're hoping step up but that's just not where you want to be with Patrick Mahomes so
17:01we're gonna fade Patrick Mahomes this week now we're going back up if you're a man you never go down you always
17:09stay up okay and we're back up with Sam Laporta now we did see the clip with him and PFT and Big
17:16Cat talking about the contract extension but part of bag season is you got to go out there and prove it Green
17:24Bay allows the fifth most tight end point the points to the tight end position Sam Laporta looks back to the 2023
17:31rookie Sam Laporta levels just absolutely dominating we know he's one of the most one of the most talented tight ends in
17:39the league and he's fully healthy from the backyotomy that he received in the offseason so it's bag season they're they're taking
17:46on Green Bay they're looking to get revenge for getting swept last year this is a crucial division game and I feel
17:54like Sam Laporta is going to be a huge part of it so he's going to be one of right he's going
18:01to be the hero the preeminent hero at the tight end position for week seven then we move on to Tyler Higbee
18:09the Higbeast the Raiders hear me out just hear me out just hear me out they can't stop a nosebleed like through
18:17the air okay we had the first Dalton Dalton Kincaid sighting since week two okay eight targets Tyler Higbee could become the
18:24focal point in the passing attack if they decide they have to throw forward passes versus the running back or versus the
18:32Los Angeles or Las Vegas Raiders of loss of Anaheim of Oakland Alameda that's what it is Alameda that's what it is
18:39so Tyler Higbee there's there's there's nobody left it's the Will Smith it's the Will Smith empty and fresh prints in the
18:47living room meme there's just nothing left so Tyler Higbee could be in line for another double digit target game thus making
18:54him one of the best players of the week at the position that's not blatantly obvious and then last but not least
19:02we're hammering we are hammering Steelers in this cross the pond game and we're going with Pat Friar Muth versus the Saints
19:0927th against a tight end and one they're the only position that they're worse against is the running back position so we're
19:17loving we're loving a lot of utility for the Steelers players in this matchup this week I absolutely think I'd need to
19:24throw in Aaron Rodgers as a streamer candidate we can edit that in wherever but Aaron Rodgers if we're going to play
19:32we like all these options you got to throw Aaron Rodgers in the streaming conversation but we talked about that on the
19:39waiver show so hopefully you locked in and you listen to us so Jeremiah why don't you close the episode out okay
19:47let's get out of here you tell us who we need to avoid so that we can cash these we can snap
19:54some necks and cash some checks in week seven a streamer spends or vent lease all right our lineup's never empty but
20:02but those those IR spots kind of get close sometimes but we are fading Dalton Schultz it seems like such an eternity
20:09where he had the 12 target game or sorry 14 target game 12 receptions against the Bengals in week two since then
20:17he's had three two four and six targets respectively and then take the addition of the uprising of Jalen Noel up the
20:24depth chart in the slot role which is phenomenal Marvin Harrison Jr.
20:28getting acquired and now we're hearing about Jalen or um Hank Dell coming back my god CJ Stroud is just going to
20:36annihilate uh shout out to CJ Stroud he's somebody else just in case people know he's so high up now in ranks
20:43where I think I have him fifth overall like we don't even say stream but he's gonna crush so it's just phenomenal
20:51matchup good all around for the Texans but this is bad signal for Dalton Schultz he's a fade Jake Ferguson total fade
20:58he has not had more than six targets the entire season and his fancy output shy of the 24 point game in
21:06week two like it's all just been downhill 12 775 just not good it just has not happened and it's looking a
21:13little precarious for him who knows how he's going to be on the depth chart may not be guaranteed his starting days
21:21uh much longer but we shall see and then Dallas Goddard this one's a little bit more taking a stand but it's
21:28more so not against Dallas Goddard more so against Tanner McKee I would start looking at Joe Milton uh to stash on
21:36some of your teams because I don't think Tanner McKee is going to be a guy for very long if you want
21:43a free Konami code quarterback I would stash him right now but I will fade Dallas Goddard this week so both sides
21:51of the tight ends in that Cowboys and Eagles game so there you have it favorites fades Chevlink tree coach Chevlaff we
21:58will see you in a few days hi if I could they told me I could grow up and be anything so
22:06I became Kanahto Mumfield good luck this week guys
