0:53Wyatt here as host and with me today, Jeremiah, to talk about some tight ends.
0:58We're going to give you two tight ends each and we're using NFFC ADP as a reference here today.
1:04What we're going to do is we're going to give you one tight end that we think is someone you could draft later in your 12 person drafts.
1:12That can be a set it, forget it, tight end one for you.
1:16And now we're going to give you one that you could draft later who we think could end up finishing there.
1:23Jeremiah, you were up first. And let's go with Kyle Pitts.
1:26He's going to be tight end seven, 85th overall, just behind your tight end.
1:30Little teaser there. And the beauty is, Kyle Pitts, you can scaffold and set up your team ADP-wise and then get him at 85th overall.
1:38So you get the base of your team, you could get a quarterback and just stack running backs and receivers.
1:44And then just like the Christmas tree right on top or remember George Kittle, it's apropos that we're talking about tight ends.
1:51Just boom, just right on top. Sprinkle a little bit of Kyle Pitts.
1:55Very excited for him. He will have Wyatt his second thousand yard receiving season.
1:59Remember, recall rookie season, a thousand twenty six yards and it was all on the up and up.
2:05I remember year two being all in on him and it hurt.
2:08It was heartbreak. And early narrative in the career for Kyle Pitts was injury.
2:13But funny enough, in four out of five seasons, 17 games played.
2:16So he's going to get his second thousand yard receiving season this year.
2:20And you got a guy who you talk about DeHember and Derrick Henry and he can throw a 40 burger on you.
2:27Well, if you get a tight end who can throw 45.6 fancy points on you on a given week, even if it's
2:34the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, you love it. You love to see it.
2:37And they're in his division. Not that we're going to get 45 burgers from Kyle Pitts, but I think we're going to get a whole lot next year.
2:46When you look at some of the stats last year, second and receptions for tight end, second and receiving yards at nine twenty eight.
2:53So he'll break a thousand yards. He may even be tight end one from this position.
2:58It's a huge war value. Fourth and yards after the catch.
3:02Second and unrealized air yards at three hundred forty one.
3:05Kyle Pitts and fancy points per game number four at twelve point four.
3:09I expect more spike week games, deep target share.
3:11Thirteen point three percent. Number seven. It's funny enough, Mitch Anderson, who his podcast feed has been running on the player profiler feed.
3:19Why? He has talked about the dichotomy between two attack of Iloa versus Michael Panik starting where two will favor and benefit
3:25the dump offs to somebody like B. John Robinson and the quick hitters to somebody like Kyle Pitts.
3:31So right now, what's the narrative street? If Mitch's proposition is correct and he surmises it looks like it's Tua, then Kyle Pitts is absolutely going to benefit.
3:39So if you get a tight end in a dome to in better weather and he's developing in his late 20s tight
3:46ends age like fine wine, as Dan Williamson always says, he's a sharp gamer.
3:50Shout out to Dan. Why? I'm very happy to have Kyle Pitts.
3:54I think he's the one you need. Interesting enough, though, what's your thoughts on Kyle Pitts?
3:59I've been trying to get a lot more Kyle Pitts exposure recently, you know, going through my own projections.
4:05He showed up really well there. I do want to be attacking the cost currently.
4:09I do, you know, always like Kyle Pitts, you know, but it's it was a tough time to Kyle Pitts fan for
4:16a long time because, you know, it wasn't coming together.
4:19We get this season coming together in 2025. A lot of people reference that a lot of his fancy points came when
4:26Drake London was out, which I think is a fair point.
4:29I also think it's worth mentioning that, like, not all tight ends are capable of, like, overtaking the number one target share
4:36in the way that Kyle Pitts did without Drake London.
4:39Like, that's something that can be a feather in his cap, too.
4:43It's not just a negative. Not all tight ends can actually come in, command targets, actually consolidate targets around them when there's
4:50an injury that happens to someone next to them.
4:52So I'm happy to see Kyle Pitts do that.
4:55I really like Kevin Stefanski for Kyle Pitts, who has a history with producing tight ends.
5:00Quarterback is the question, right? Tua, Penix, neither's great.
5:03Tua, you know, I personally cannot decide which one is better for Pitts.
5:07Tua, more the check down Charlie, you know, might get some quick hitters for Kyle Pitts.
5:12We like that. We like receptions, right? Michael Penix, more likely to push the ball down the field.
5:17We like explosives, and Kyle Pitts is one of the tight ends who can give those to us.
5:23So I'm not sure which one is better. What do you think?
5:26Oh, yes. So I think it's weird. It's disgusting.
5:29This is going to hurt some of the pang for somebody like Drake London and Tua and those quick hitters.
5:35I really like what Mitch's assessment was in that where Kyle Pitts is just going to be the beneficiary of both left handed quarterbacks.
5:43So there's no change in angle of the offense.
5:45And then I just go back to that dome method and high volume pass games.
5:50We see a lot of shootouts in the NFC South, and I couldn't be happier.
5:54One juxtaposition, and I think this can lead into Harold Fannin Jr.
5:58I do have concern because at this spot in the draft where your guy comes in and Harold Fannin Jr., I do
6:05have a little bit of a tiebreaker method. And let me know, as your resident Cleveland Browns fan here, the weather late
6:12in the season versus somebody like Kyle Pitts, does that take into a factor?
6:16And is it just the PPR magnet goal that Harold Fannin Jr.
6:20was last year? Tell us about Harold Fannin Jr.
6:22Yeah, you know, I think weather is one of those things where we can bake it in just ever so slightly if
6:29we'd like to when it comes to players. Being in domes is obviously beneficial.
6:33But I think it's worth mentioning, you know, a couple years ago, week 17, when all the best ball tournaments money was
6:40being won, the biggest game of the week a couple years ago was the Browns versus the Jets in Cleveland.
6:46Awful weather didn't matter. That game went off. Like sometimes it just, you know, the game of football has so much variance to it.
6:54Some of these things we just can't actually bake in too much because we never really know which way it's going to go.
7:01Harold Fannin comes in into the NFL, and it's one of those that we just should have seen coming, right?
7:07Like the most productive college football tight end we've ever seen comes to the NFL and is immediately productive.
7:13Who could have seen this coming, right? I love that he basically just immediately pushed Dave Njoku to the side.
7:19Dave Njoku was a quality tight end for a long time.
7:22He ends up finishing tight end 7 in PPR points per game with 11.7 in 2025.
7:27If you look at the end of the season, he was doing even more than that.
7:32He was 5th among tight ends in target share with 21.6%.
7:35He was 5th among tight ends in first read target share with 23.1%, which you love to see.
7:41And the thing that breaks the tie a little bit between Pitts and Fannin for me is that I think in Atlanta, Pitts is always the number 2.
7:49Drake London will always be the number 1 to him.
7:52I can't see a world in which Pitts overtakes London while they're both healthy.
7:57In Cleveland, I think it's Harold Fannin starting off the year as the number 1 target earner in the offense.
8:03And it's up to Casey Concepcion or Denzel Boston to take that away from him.
8:07And even if one of them can battle him for that number 1 target share, I think no matter what, Harold Fann
8:14is going to have a really large part in this offense.
8:18Now, both of these teams, if we're going to compare them, do not have ideal quarterback situations.
8:23I'd say the Falcons have a better one than the Browns do.
8:26I think that's a fair thing to say. The one thing that I can hang on to a little bit when it
8:33comes to that, and same thing for the Falcons really, is that these are teams that could be playing from behind a lot.
8:40Could be in a lot of pass game situations, you know, over and over again.
8:45Where it could be ugly, but there could be enough pass attempts to bring our players along.
8:50What do you think about Fannin? My only hesitancy on the Browns, and I'm wholly bullish on them.
8:56I mean, we talked out at the draft house and draft day how exciting it was.
9:00God, imagine Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston. Like, it just could not get better.
9:05Then you had the last prior year where it was Judkins, Harold Fannin Jr.
9:09It's just like whoever can get the keys to this offense for the Browns at quarterback is just riding the Maserati.
9:15They're just in great shape. I do like Shador Sanders a little bit more on Deshaun Watson at this stage of the career.
9:22Deshaun Watson was dust when he left. And there were some musings about having to play in a structured offense where Watson
9:29couldn't handle that just a handful of years ago.
9:32And now you're getting him a couple years older, a little more rust, continued, and still having to play within some form of structure.
9:39My only hesitancy on Harold Fannin Jr., while the tide is rising and the arrow is pointing up for the Browns, I
9:46see a little bit of a Green Bay Packers element where there's a flattened target share.
9:51And 107 targets last year on Harold Fannin Jr.
9:54I would like to see that go up to 120, 130.
9:57You know, could we be in the Bowers, McBride area where they can generate between 150 to 160, 170?
10:03We shall see. There's always that ideal pocket. I just don't see that jump happening.
10:08Only for the fact that it's Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston who are getting massive highlights.
10:12I know it's not something that's an indicator, but God, that's all we see every single day, which has to be a joy to you.
10:20But I do have concern and worry from a fancy lens if that's going to flatten Harold Fannin Jr.
10:26just a little bit. But at the same time, when we compare and stack together, Kyle Pitts, Wyatt, and Harold Fannin Jr.
10:33in these NFFC drafts, they're in the same spot.
10:35They're literally back to back. So as you're building a portfolio, it's just the most fun thing.
10:41You and I have done this all the time with our other contests in Best Ball where, hey, you know what?
10:47This time I went and got Kyle Pitts. Well, next time I'm going to go get some Harold Fannin Jr.
10:53It's like, you know, you're a chef. Hey, I want to try this.
10:57You're at a buffet or you have a menu.
11:00Hey, you know, last time I was here, I have this.
11:03Well, this time I'm going to get the swordfish.
11:06So it's really a luxury of riches. For me, though, my guy in that pocket is Kyle Pitts to your Harold Fannin Jr.
11:13Yeah, it's a fair point about could the target chairs be leveled out a bit too much?
11:18You know, Kyle Pitts, he just has London. Well, I mean, and Bijan.
11:22Bijan counts here. He's probably going to at least get close to Pitts and targets.
11:27He did it last year, right? But there are a few more options there in Cleveland.
11:32You know, Cleveland even said, like, right after the draft, well, you know, Jerry Judy is still our workhorse.
11:38Like, I mean, I think Jerry Judy is going to get cast to the side.
11:42But, like, what if he doesn't, right? Like, what if they still out there an annoying amount?
11:47So it's a good point. As you said, these two are going right back to back.
11:52Harold Fannin's tight end 6, 84 overall. As you mentioned, Kyle Pitts, tight end 7, 85 overall.
11:57But also, as you said, if I'm drafting a lot of teams, which I am, I want to draft a good amount of both of these guys.
12:06You know, I think they are really priced well.
12:09I want to have exposure to both. I love it.
12:12And there's the accounting for, and last bit on that, the accounting for I could be wrong.
12:17And the beauty is when you do portfolio, if you have enough baked in, like a player who's not on our show
12:24sheet tonight is somebody like Zachariah Branch. I've been out on him.
12:27But I don't mind sprinkling a couple shares just for that practice because you could absolutely be wrong.
12:33And I feel like that unlocks more fantasy goodness.
12:35It's like this whole other, like, it's like shorting the market and being long in the market, in the stock market, where
12:42you're just like, hey, you know what? I'm going to just go both ways on this.
12:47I'm going to be fading a player but have a position built.
12:51And that way, if something happens either way, I'm in really good shape.
12:55Something good is going to happen. Yeah. Well, we've got some late-round tight ends to talk about.

14:49Hey, I feel so great about this one, Wyatt.
14:52It is Brenton Strange. Speaking of NFFC, I got him in round 13 last night.
14:56And beauty is I got, this is from the 111.
14:59So late round five, I was able to get Parker Washington.
15:03Did not get the stack. We love talking about stacking and best ball, Wyatt.
15:07Did not get Trevor Lawrence, but I came away with middle of the field open.
15:11Parker Washington, who's everybody's darling and breakout. But then Brenton Strange.
15:15So whatever doesn't get covered by Parker Washington, I'm going to have for Brenton Strange in this NFFC contest.
15:21And for me, I am sitting here, the entire industry, and I am included because I've drafted plenty of Parker Washington.
15:27If there is a bit of a degree where it's wrong.
15:30And it just goes tangentially just over here just a little bit.
15:34Just like if we were on David Njoku last year, and then we were this close, we were right.
15:40But then, oh yeah, it's Harold Fannin Jr. right next to him.
15:44That was the correct play. We may be missing force through the trees with Brenton Strange.
15:48So the last six games last year, 10 red zone targets.
15:52Now, think of Tucker Craft and Colson Loveland in these metrics.
15:55Brenton Strange was 6 in yards per target at 9.
15:589th in yards per reception at 11.7. 8th in yards per route run, 1.81.
16:03To me, that's a very discounted version with those metrics of guys like Tucker Craft and Colson Loveland, who are far superior.
16:09But again, I'm talking about round 13 price that I got him at.
16:13So year four, he'll be an older 25, Brenton Strange on a high-octane offense.
16:18So my posit to people is what if we are tangentially correct, but directionally off by giving just a little bit more leeway to somebody like Parker Washington.
16:26So when we blur that middle of the field, stranger things have happened, and we might get that with Brenton Strange.
16:33What do you think? People don't realize how efficient Brenton Strange has been, and specifically last year.
16:38I think that's because he missed a little bit of time and because all the other flashy names in the Jaguars offense.
16:45But Brenton Strange, whenever he's been given the opportunity, has been really efficient.
16:49And there's this little corollary to Tucker Craft that you almost hit on a little bit, I think.
16:54In that one of the reasons why I was really into Tucker Craft last year and was happy that I was before
17:01he got hurt was that we talked about the rotating wide receivers.
17:04Well, you know who didn't rotate? Tucker Craft. You know, he's always on the field.
17:09I think that could be Brenton Strange again. I'm not saying he's going to be Tucker Craft.
17:14I'm not saying he's going to produce quite the level that Tucker Craft was.
17:19But, you know, we're playing these games with all these wide receivers and who's going to be on the field, who's going to be doing what.
17:27And meanwhile, Brenton Strange is going to be there on the field all day, every day.
17:31And that could just lead him into, you know, this really efficient, high-powered, high-scoring offense.
17:36When you're just out on the field that much, you're going to follow your way into some fantasy points.
17:42And then when you're good, like Brenton Strange is, I could see that really working out in his favor.
17:48So, yeah, I like the call on Brenton Strange.
17:50I think he has a nice price. If you're going to be waiting on tight end, he is someone you could take a shot on.
17:58I think when you do take a shot on Brenton Strange, I would want to take, like, a later tight end with some, like, real boomer bust potential.
18:07Because if we're being honest, just pure ceiling-wise for Brenton Strange, how high is it without some injuries around him?
18:13But if you're one of the last people in your league to take a tight end and you want to be like,
18:20I need to make sure that I have someone I can plug and play, Brenton Strange is that guy.
18:25Well, it's funny you mentioned that. That one show that we did, it was press coverage.
18:30You had me on the show. Thanks for having me, Pete.
18:34Or not Pete. You're Wyatt. I've been talking to Pete so much.
18:37You got me on. He was the last one we covered.
18:41And we covered the I don't know method with the Rams tight end room.
18:45But based on that, with the boom potential, you got me on some Terrence Ferguson.
18:50So he would probably be a name that I would patch along with somebody like a Brenton Strange.
18:55And then you got somebody, a deeper cut. You know, speaking of great albums out there, you got some deep cuts.
19:01You know, everyone loves to hear the first three songs.
19:05But man, that ninth and tenth song can just be a banger, as the kids say now.
19:10Give us a deep cut on tight end. Who you should get.
19:13Yeah, I agree with you. I think this would be a great pairing with Brenton Strange.
19:18And that's Greg Dalsich. He's going as tight end 26th.
19:21Essentially free in your drafts right now. In 2025, you wouldn't believe it, but 2.54 yards per out run.
19:27And that's where he had a game where he didn't have a single target.
19:32His first game that he played for the Dolphins, he did not see a single target.
19:36And then from every game outside there, he was a big part of their plans.
19:41He had a 25% target rate in 2025. One of the big problems for the Dolphins last year was they didn't have
19:48a lot of people to throw to. And guess what?
19:51It's probably an even bigger problem this year because now they don't have Jalen Waddell anymore.
19:56And Greg Dalsich is going to be out there battling against Malik Washington.
20:00Chris Bell recovering from an ACL. Caleb Douglas, who was overdrafted by everyone except, you know, thinks he got overdrafted against everyone except for the Dolphins.
20:08Jalen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell, like these washed out players.
20:10It's another one where like, it may not be pretty, you know, but who's getting volume in this offense?
20:16Devon Chan might be the wide receiver one. In the offense.
20:20And how many targets can he even handle? You know, Greg Dalsich does not have to have, you know, this absolute elite
20:26role even in this offense to be a massive value at this cost.
20:30Because like I said, this is the end of drafts.
20:33This is free if you want them, essentially, in a lot of these drafts.
20:38And he could easily become a streaming level tight end that you can actually play.
20:42We can week out just on pure volume in this offense.
20:46And then if he is still really good, if he can keep that yards per run, anything close to it while getting extra volume.
20:53If this offense is better than we expect. Like there's a bunch of outs where all of a sudden Greg Dalsich is
21:00flirting with top 12 tight end status in this Miami Dolphins offense.
21:03Especially if you talk about the premise. And you know this really well, Wyatt, with best ball.
21:09Not taking zeros. This is one of the most not zero tight ends that you can get so late in your drafts.
21:15And I think a lot of the thinking goes to, granted, it's a new coaching staff, new quarterback.
21:21But the assets have been stripped down with no Tyree Kill.
21:24No Jalen Waddell anymore. You had mentioned Caleb Douglas.
21:27Chris Bell. When will he return? We shall see.
21:30Not a whole lot of competition there. Devon HM possibly the wide receiver one in the Dolphins offense.
21:35There's still a lot of structure, though, of the continuity of the team from the last two years.
21:41Where I start to think back to, can we get discount Jonu Smith?
21:45That run where he was fourth in tight end scoring.
21:48He was first and first down per route run.
21:51Fifth in yards per route run. Fourth in receiving yards.
21:54Fourth in receptions. So that's where I see a lot of discount opportunity there.
21:58So I think that's a great call. Yeah, I mean, like you said, we don't need much for this to become a
22:05big win because of what's going on around him.
22:07And so I think the Jonu Smith, you know, comp is a really nice one because I think they're both players that are good after the catch.
22:16Greg Dels is just someone who's good after the catch and work downfield and can fall into that kind of volume in
22:22an offense that needs a pass catcher. And, you know, in redraft leagues, when you draft him, if it doesn't work out, so what?
22:30You cut him. Just move on. If you did this, as our good friend Andrew Cooper would say, the yin and yang
22:37tight end strategy, like we kind of talked about here with these two later tight ends where we have one save for one and one boom bust one.
22:45We can just move on from this boom bust guy if it doesn't work out in redraft.
22:50You can just cut your losses and move on and find the next one.
22:55It costs you nothing to do so. Any names that you might like pairing with somebody like Dalsich in that strategy?
23:01If we're looking at some safer tight ends, you know, I think like another one would be a Dalton Schultz, who's again,
23:08like unsexy name, who's always going to be part of the offense is going to have a role.
23:13I think he's possibly being a little bit underrated.
23:16Another one that could be like this is a K-dot where it's like, if you had to start him, you can and
23:23you know you'll get something out of him. If we wanted to continue down this late round tight ends who could do
23:30this for us, could help us out, these are a couple that you could look at.
