Adonai Mitchell

PositiveRole26:00

Adonai Mitchell has re-emerged in the Jets offense, running routes at a similar rate to Omar Cooper, signaling a meaningful pass-catching role that will compete for targets previously available to Breece Hall.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

PositiveRole28:23

Satellite back on the Saints who will benefit from the team's inability to run the ball; has been putting up over 10 fantasy points in recent weeks and will remain useful as the team gets creative in the passing game.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveUsage46:34

Rams running back hitting in plays of the week; both he and Kyron Williams are commanding targets; described as storm clouds gathering (positive trajectory); play to go to especially with Puka Nacua as only healthy wide receiver, forcing targets to running backs; both backs getting opportunities in great spot for running game.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveRole18:00

Braylon Allen completed the Voltron in week seven with a 24% target share against the Dolphins, officially establishing himself as an NFL workhorse. In the last four games, Allen has 357 rushing yards (2nd among NFL RBs), 5.0 yards per carry (tied 5th), 22 missed tackles forced (1st in league), 4.21 yards after contact per attempt (2nd), 10+ yard runs (1st), 15+ yard runs (1st), and 19 first downs (4th in NFL). Matt Kelley notes Allen is 22 years old with college-level athleticism putting up first-round NFL draft pick stats. Allen is destined for a big running back contract as a primary back elsewhere and should be valued like a 2027 first-rounder in dynasty.

Insight page
NegativeBreakout21:21

Matt Kelley refused to trade Braylon Allen despite conventional dynasty strategy suggesting a sell-high on a breakout fourth-round running back posting RB1 weeks. Kelley argues Allen is 'freakish talent' comparable to 'Derrick Henry with better hands,' highlighting his elite backup status and future bell cow potential. Allen posted a 24% target share in a recent game and achieved 100% opportunity share among running backs, demonstrating elite receiving and usage metrics that justify holding him over a late first-round pick in dynasty.

Insight page
PositiveUsage24:25

Braylon Allen posted a 100% opportunity share among running backs in a recent game, an exceptionally rare achievement; if extrapolated across a full 17-game season, his one-month production would yield approximately 1,500 rushing yards, demonstrating elite efficiency on a Jets team with a functional (if not elite) running game.

Insight page
PositiveRole25:25

Matt Kelley asserts that Braylon Allen has earned a significant role as an early-down grinder, which will limit Breece Hall's ceiling when Hall returns from injury; Allen's emergence constrains the touch distribution Hall can expect, creating a ceiling cap on Hall's fantasy upside.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeRole19:30

Breece Hall is the current starter for the New York Jets, but Braylon Allen is on his way out of the team as a backup. Matt Kelley notes that as long as Hall remains the starter, Allen will eventually leave for a big running back contract as the primary back somewhere else in the NFL. This suggests Hall's role is secure for now but Allen's emergence threatens the long-term backfield hierarchy.

Insight page
NegativeRole25:25

Matt Kelley projects that Breece Hall faces a touch squeeze upon his return from injury; the emergence of Braylon Allen as an early-down grinder and Adonai Mitchell as a pass-catcher will siphon carries and targets, reducing Hall's ceiling and forcing a downward revision in seasonal rankings and dynasty value despite his floor remaining intact via pass-game work.

Insight page
NegativeProjection44:57

Moving down in rankings; contrasted with Scadaboo and Judkins who are moving up; represents declining trajectory in dynasty rankings.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeProjection62:23

Matt Kelley acquired Bryce Young in a dynasty trade where he gave up Lamar Jackson and big pieces to acquire multiple first rounders. Kelley notes it's not over yet with Young and plans to give him a ride at quarterback and super flex, indicating cautious optimism but uncertainty about Young's ultimate fantasy value.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveBreakout41:33

Matt Kelley highlights Caleb Douglas as doing 'a lot with a little'—scoring two touchdowns and a 63-yard catch despite not being peppered with targets or having a huge target share; Kelley argues Douglas's outside receiver technician profile (compared to a taller DeVante Smith) has a much better probability of breaking out and finding a real NFL role than Chris Bell's manufactured touches, and states Douglas should now rank ahead of Bell in dynasty rankings.

Insight page

Chris Bell

NegativeBust41:35

Matt Kelley argues Chris Bell, despite having exciting Debo Samuel-like YAC ability, has a lower probability of hitting at the NFL level compared to Caleb Douglas's outside technician profile; Kelley states Bell's entire case for ranking ahead of Douglas in dynasty has 'evaporated' and that Bell relies on manufactured touches and targets rather than organic role development.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveProjection33:13

Dalton Schultz can no longer be trusted week-to-week due to excessive target competition in Houston's receiver room. He has way too much competition for targets.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveRole30:04

Will return to take away inefficient carries from Woody Marks on the Texans, reclaiming his role in the backfield.

Insight page
NegativeUsage30:22

Montgomery's return will take away inefficient carries from the current Houston backfield, reducing fantasy production for the backup running back currently receiving those touches.

Insight page

Davis Allen

NegativeUsage46:56

Tight end who gets touchdowns for Rams; however, insufficient target volume to prevent running backs Corum and Kyron from dominating receiving opportunities; not a primary receiving option.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveRole10:00

Denzel Boston has a body type bias in ranking services but is not as productive as Casey Concepcion in actual usage metrics. Matt Kelley notes that Boston ranks ahead of Concepcion in crowdsource ranking services like KeepTradeCut in dynasty, but Concepcion has a higher target rate (35% targets per route run) because he is a much better separator. Kelley disagrees with Boston's ranking ahead of Concepcion, calling it silly.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeMatchup43:03

Matt Kelley and Chuck recommended benching Garrett Wilson in a recent week on the starter stream show, suggesting it was a 'bench Garrett Wilson week.'

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeProjection52:39

Matt Kelley frames George Kittle's performance as a strong process play despite disappointing results: Kittle earned 10 targets, posted over 10 yards per reception, and delivered 14 PPR fantasy points, but Kelley had projected a 20-point performance. Kelley emphasizes that one additional touchdown would have hit the 20-point ceiling, and advises confidence in Kittle's process going forward despite the week's shortfall.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

PositiveMatchup33:53

JJ McCarthy played well against Houston, posting efficient performance and positive EPA in that game, suggesting the Texans' defense is exploitable.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeUsage11:51

JK Dobbins scored a touchdown in week seven but the underlying metrics show Jonah Coleman is superior. Matt Kelley notes Dobbins had 6.0 yards per carry, but Coleman looks like he has more juice and is better on a per-carry basis. Dobbins played more snaps than Coleman but Coleman was used in pass protection situations (trust-earning snaps), while Dobbins was not as heavily featured.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveProjection45:05

Called out as a successful play of the week pick; part of strong performance on plays of the week show.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeRole14:15

Jalen Wright does not matter in Miami's backfield despite being named the starter by the team and being more efficient in a small sample last year. Matt Kelley notes that Wright is not a bell cow back and that picking him over Ollie Gordon is a mistake—misused analytics. Wright played in week seven but it did not matter as Gordon dominated with 80% of snaps before garbage time.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeProjection65:01

Matt Kelley references Jeremiah Love as a comparison point, predicting that Seth McGowan will outscore him this season, suggesting Love may underperform relative to expectations or McGowan's emerging role.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

NegativeRole10:00

Jerry Judy was supplanted by Casey Concepcion early in the season. Matt Kelley notes that Concepcion did not have to wait for Judy to be injured or for Concepcion to supplant Judy—it all happened in the first few weeks of the season as Concepcion emerged as the primary receiver.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveRole11:51

Jonah Coleman returned from IR in week seven and showed superior efficiency to JK Dobbins despite not producing big fantasy numbers. Matt Kelley notes Coleman had better yards per carry than Dobbins and was used in pass protection situations (trust-earning snaps), doubling RJ Harvey's snaps. Coleman is the recipe for a bell cow back and should be aggressively pursued in shallow leagues where he is 34% owned on Yahoo. Kelley advises not dropping Coleman if he gets hurt or doesn't produce immediately.

Insight page

Jordan Watkins

PositiveProjection51:10

Matt Kelley expresses strong conviction that Jordan Watkins will be featured in upcoming plays of the week analysis, stating he would start Watkins against all opponents except bye weeks in deep leagues. Kelley emphasizes Watkins' performance was "really, really good" and highlights his ability to make plays on the outside as a difference-maker in the 49ers' receiving core, though a controversial catch reversal cost him additional production.

Insight page
NegativeUsage51:10

Jordan Watkins ran fewer routes than Brandon Cooks in the game discussed, which surprised Matt Kelley, though Watkins had run significantly more routes the previous week. This route-running variance suggests inconsistent offensive deployment despite his demonstrated ability to make plays on the outside.

Insight page
PositiveProjection61:33

Matt Kelley references Jordan Watkins as a player who would have outscored Buka Okoro in a recent week, suggesting Watkins has been producing at a level that exceeds expectations or at least exceeds what Okoro delivered when injured.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeBust41:17

Matt Kelley notes Josh Downs has underperformed in recent weeks, describing him as someone who has 'done less with more' this year; Kelley was burned by starting him in the PlayerProfiler staff league the week before last.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeBust29:24

Strong sell-high candidate; the vast majority of his fantasy points came as a receiver, and he posted only around three yards per carry for the Packers, consistent with the team's run-blocking issues; already showed efficiency leaks in 2025, so no improvement expected in 2026.

Insight page

Justice Hill

PositiveRole5:18

Justice Hill has not had as productive a season as he had last season, a consequence of the Ravens' target concentration on Zay Flowers and Jacoby Lane. Matt Kelley notes that all auxiliary pass catchers on the Ravens—including Hill—face a Jacoby Lane problem as the offense evolves to feature just Flowers and Lane hogging all targets.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveRole25:58

Satellite back on a team that can't run the ball straight ahead; will get creative passing opportunities and capable of 10-plus fantasy points in weeks as the season plays out; redraft target in seasonal leagues.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

PositiveRole41:02

Post-Achilles rupture, quarterback is even more inclined to target him underneath rather than downfield; limits his ceiling and role in the passing game.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveUsage11:26

Rams running back featured in plays of the week show; both he and Blake Corum are hitting; commanding targets in addition to rushing role; described as storm clouds gathering (positive trajectory) compared to Mike Allstott and Warwick Dunn; great spot for running game with both backs getting opportunities.

Insight page
PositiveUsage47:20

Williams is commanding targets in the Rams offense alongside Coram; McVay's creative play-calling with split backfield formations featuring both running backs is expected to continue, positioning Williams for consistent target volume and offensive involvement.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeProjection62:23

Matt Kelley traded away Lamar Jackson in a dynasty deal where he acquired Michael Penix Jr. and Bryce Young in exchange for Jackson and big pieces, plus multiple first rounders. This suggests Kelley was willing to move on from Jackson's value in favor of younger quarterback prospects.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

PositiveRole5:18

Mark Andrews and other tight ends on the Ravens have a Jacoby Lane problem; Andrews had five fantasy points in week seven as the emergence of Lane and the continued dominance of Zay Flowers limit target volume for auxiliary pass catchers. Matt Kelley notes that the natural evolution of this run-first offense will feature just Flowers and Lane hogging all targets, squeezing out production for tight ends and other receivers.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveUsage32:13

Marvin Harrison Jr. scored in the same game where Nico Collins dusted out, demonstrating he is getting red zone touches in Houston's receiver rotation.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveProjection62:02

Matt Kelley praises Michael Penix Jr. as the engine of the Atlanta Falcons franchise, noting he is moving past his Kenny Pickett comparison and is significantly better than Tua Tagovailoa. Kelley highlights Penix's ability to sustain drives and push the football to the perimeter. Since taking over in week three, Penix has led Atlanta to wins over Green Bay (35-14), New Orleans (45-24), and San Francisco (29-20), with close losses to Baltimore and Chicago. Kelley notes Penix was available on waivers in 10-team super flex and two-QB leagues, and is rising in value.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeRole32:02

Collins is being deployed as a field stretcher (running go routes on roughly half his routes, Taequann Thornton level) rather than as a volume alpha receiver, which is problematic given his talent profile. He needs to be fed like a volume alpha X receiver, not deployed like a field stretcher. This deployment mismatch, combined with too many hungry mouths in Houston, is becoming a problem for his fantasy value.

Insight page
NegativeProjection32:13

Matt Kelley warns that Nico Collins' fantasy value is at risk as Houston's receiver room is too crowded. Tank Dell had a 43-yard catch, Xavier Hutchinson scored, Marvin Harrison Jr. scored, and Jalen Knoll and Kayshaun Booty combined for two targets in the same game where Collins dusted out. The data suggests Collins could be passed by younger receivers like Casey Concepcion in Dynasty value as target competition intensifies.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

PositiveRole14:15

Ollie Gordon is a genuine bell cow, playing 42 of 52 snaps before garbage time (80% before garbage time started). Matt Kelley notes Gordon is a 2000-yard rusher from college and the only running back on the roster who can handle an 80% opportunity share when Devon Achane goes down. Despite Jalen Wright being named the starter by Miami and being more efficient in a small sample, Gordon is the workhorse. Kelley notes the Alfred Morris corollary: Malik Willis creates more room to run for Gordon because Willis himself is a threat to run, especially on option plays. Gordon is ranked as one of three bell cow backs (with Jonah Coleman and Braylon Allen) worthy of 40%+ FAB budget.

Insight page
PositiveUsage24:17

Matt Kelley highlights Ollie Gordon's snap share as a standout waiver wire acquisition; Gordon posted elite advanced usage statistics comparable to Braylon Allen, positioning him as one of the top running back values available.

Insight page
NegativeRole63:24

Matt Kelley had Ollie Gordon on his dynasty team bench, indicating Gordon was not in his starting lineup despite being rostered, suggesting limited confidence in Gordon's immediate fantasy value or role.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

PositiveUsage26:00

Omar Cooper continues to deliver boom performances and touchdowns, establishing himself as a consistent target in the Jets passing game and a benchmark for route participation rates among pass-catchers.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveValue27:57

Clear and obvious buy as a first-round pick; the Patriots' running game cannot get worse, making this an opportunistic buy-low in dynasty leagues with significant upside potential.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveRole46:29

Only healthy wide receiver for the Rams; forces target volume to running backs Blake Corum and Kyron Williams due to lack of other receiving options; positions him as primary receiving target.

Insight page
PositiveRole48:00

Nakua played through injury in a critical win against Las Vegas, demonstrating professional commitment; the Rams are using him as an extension of the running game with short intermediate routes and line-of-scrimmage touches to set up blockers, maximizing his value while managing his health.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveProjection44:41

Had a great game; positioned in tier with Cam Scadaboo as comparable talent profile in dynasty rankings; represents the tier of talent and situation Scadaboo will find himself in.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

NegativeRole3:36

Rashad Bateman's return in week seven coincided with Jacoby Lane running more routes and receiving more targets than Bateman, marking a demotion in the Ravens' passing game hierarchy. Matt Kelley expected zero targets for Lane upon Bateman's return but was pleasantly surprised by Lane's increased usage, suggesting Bateman's role is being diminished by the rookie's emergence.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole27:19

Matt Kelley identifies Rhamondre Stevenson as a near-term scoring opportunity on the Patriots, a team with one of the worst run-blocking units in the NFL; Stevenson can generate fantasy points as a receiver despite the team's inability to establish a ground game, making him a satellite back value play.

Insight page
PositiveRole27:39

Can score points as a receiver in the near term on the Patriots despite the team's run-blocking limitations; positioned as a satellite back capable of fantasy production through the passing game.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeUsage11:51

RJ Harvey played more snaps than Jonah Coleman in week seven, but Coleman doubled Harvey's snaps in pass protection situations. Matt Kelley notes Harvey is not the primary back and is being phased out as Coleman takes over the role.

Insight page

Savion Williams

PositiveSleeper49:06

Williams was highly involved in the Packers game as a desperation stream option with multiple carries and seven receptions in the last two weeks; he specializes in short intermediate routes and is compared favorably to Chris Bell as a more affordable alternative; he was widely available in deep dynasty leagues before activation and represents strong value for streaming purposes.

Insight page
PositiveProjection61:33

Matt Kelley mentions Savion Williams alongside Jordan Watkins as a player who would have outscored Buka Okoro in a recent week, indicating Williams is producing at a competitive level.

Insight page

Seth McGowan

PositiveBreakout65:01

Matt Kelley predicts that Seth McGowan will somehow outscore Jeremiah Love this year, suggesting McGowan has breakout potential and will outperform expectations relative to a fellow prospect.

Insight page

Tank Dell

PositiveUsage32:13

Tank Dell had a 43-yard catch in a game where Nico Collins dusted out, demonstrating he is getting opportunities in Houston's crowded receiver room.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveValue62:01

Matt Kelley identifies Ted Hurst as a perfect time to buy, suggesting the player's market price or perception has dipped and represents a buying opportunity for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeProjection20:00

Terry McLaurin went down with a torn patella after Matt Kelley was offered a 2027 first-rounder plus additional assets (including Braylon Allen) for him in a dynasty trade. Kelley was tempted to accept the deal to get out of McLaurin's aging wide receiver profile but ultimately declined because the trade also required giving up his second-rounder. This was before McLaurin's injury.

Insight page
NegativeValue21:01

Matt Kelley expressed urgency to trade away Terry McLaurin, stating 'I'm rebuilding' and 'This guy's burning a hole in my pocket. I need to get out of Terry McLaurin.' The context suggests McLaurin is viewed as a sell candidate in dynasty, though the specific reasoning beyond rebuild mode is not detailed in this excerpt.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

PositiveValue27:35

Long-term dynasty buy despite playing on a high ankle sprain all year; will get healthy by the second half of the season, and the Patriots will eventually improve their interior offensive line and commit to the running game, creating significant upside.

Insight page

Tua Tagovailoa

NegativeProjection62:20

Matt Kelley dismisses Tua Tagovailoa as significantly inferior to Michael Penix Jr., citing his five yards per attempt as evidence of poor performance. Kelley expresses frustration with offseason Tua talk and suggests the quarterback should be "shot into the sun," indicating strong negative sentiment on Tagovailoa's fantasy value.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

NegativeRole43:27

Matt Kelley notes Tyrone Tracy was benched in favor of Cam Scadaboo, describing it as 'incredibly bad timing' for Tracy's career; however, Kelley characterizes Tracy as an all-purpose talent and baseline all-purpose primary back in the league who could command at least a 55% opportunity share.

Insight page
NegativeRole44:03

All-purpose talent with baseline primary back role; can be given at least 55% opportunity share and still provide good fantasy value due to versatility in both receiving and rushing; however, benching suggests role uncertainty going forward.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

NegativeRole8:00

Wandale Robinson was out-targeted by rookie Alec A.O. Manor in week seven, indicating a shift in the Titans' passing game hierarchy. Matt Kelley highlights this as a watershed moment for Manor's emergence, similar to Jacoby Lane supplanting Rashad Bateman.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveBust29:46

Despite getting 100% of running back touches last week, posted only eight fantasy points; the situation is unsustainable because David Montgomery will return and take away inefficient carries, and Marks cannot command the target share once Houston's receivers return from injury.

Insight page

Xavier Hutchinson

PositiveUsage32:13

Xavier Hutchinson scored in the same game where Nico Collins dusted out, showing he is getting red zone opportunities in Houston's receiver rotation.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeRole3:59

Zay Flowers is the established number-one receiver in Baltimore's run-first offense. Matt Kelley projects that the long-term evolution of this offense will feature Flowers and Jacoby Lane hogging all targets, making both viable fantasy options despite the low pass volume environment. Flowers had the best training camp in Ravens history per team officials, the same level of praise now being given to Lane.

Insight page
NegativeRole63:30

Matt Kelley traded for Zay Flowers in his dynasty league, indicating he saw value in acquiring Flowers for his roster, though the context suggests this was part of a strategic move in a league where he was 1-6 and seeking to adjust his lineup.

0:14You'll be getting all the top waiver wire claims for week eight, but we're going to get into it today.
0:20We're going to start to preview that. There's a lot that happened.
0:24A lot of guys are rising in dynasty. A lot of young rookies, some receivers, some running backs breaking out.
0:30There's a lot happening on the plays in the past.
0:33The Week brought to you by sport.fun. I'll just be honest with you.
0:37We're going to come right out with it. We're not even going to try.
0:42Sometimes I sense that we have more than 10 takeaways and I try to conceal it from the audience today.
0:48We're not going to do that. We're going to be maximum transparency.
0:52I think Elizabeth Holmes before she went to prison, maximum, maximum transparency, maybe maximum transparency.
0:56Maybe about that. That's the best. That's the best way to describe the show.
1:01Really? And this entire network, my, my entire life behind the microphone talking about fantasy football, maximum transparency.
1:06Maybe I think that's really it. I'll admit we have 20 takeaways today.
1:10We don't have 10. I'm not going to try to get the 10.
1:14I couldn't even hope to get to 10. Uh, if you are subscribed to our newsletter, go to player profile.com, scroll down,
1:21just plug your email in to get the newsletter.
1:24I am sending now. I mean, not last week because last week was an improvised big reveal of the box scores and the usage data.
1:32And then to see my reactions to what happened because I was not watching football on Sunday in week six, but week seven, I was watching football.
1:40I had been paying close attention to all the outcomes and all the usage reports.
1:45So we have a lot to talk about. And there's just too many.
1:49There's just too many players to talk about. There's too many players breaking out.
1:53There's too many changes that are happening. We just can't, we can't, I couldn't, I couldn't.
1:58I tried. I tried. I really, I tried. You have to, I promise.
2:02I swear to you with maximum transparency that I tried to get us down to 10 takeaways.
2:08I couldn't do it. And I said, you know what?
2:11We're going, we're going straight to 20. So what ended up happening was I added them all up and I had 19 takeaways.
2:18And then I'm like, oh my God, I, now I have to manufacture a 20th takeaway to get us to 20.
2:25I'm not doing 19 takeaways. I could actually, I could maybe, I don't know.
2:29Let me know in the chat. Let me know in the comments.
2:33Do you prefer 20 takeaways or 19 takeaways? If I can't keep it to 10, that is the big question.
2:39So one of these players that we need to talk about very exciting usage report on Jacoby Lane.
2:45Jacoby Lane is great. He's a great player. He's a great receiver.
2:48The problem is a flowers is also great. And it's a low volume offense and especially a low pass volume offense.
2:55So they like in Baltimore, they want to play defense.
2:58They want to run the ball. This has been the ethos of the Baltimore Ravens for decades.
3:03That's not a great environment for a wide receiver.
3:06And now I'm telling you, you need to go out and get their second receiver.
3:11Their number two Rashad Bateman that you want. What?
3:14Right. Who has been that way? Tez Walker. Who has been the number two receiver in Baltimore the last five years?
3:20Right. Who have they even been? Like it's, it's not been pretty and it's not been a productive role.
3:26I get it. I get it. You want, I'm going to pick up the next Rashad Bateman because of the podfather.
3:33Yeah. Right. Okay. And then Bateman comes back in week seven.
3:36And I, I imagined Jacoby lane getting put back in the box.
3:40We wouldn't see him. He might not even get targeted.
3:43I was prepared. I was, my body was prepared.
3:46I want to let you know for zero Jacoby lane targets in week seven.
3:50And then I was pleasantly surprised with what we saw.
3:53And what we saw was as follows. 80 plus percent snap share in three wide receiver sets.
3:5911 personnel. Okay. Okay. Jacoby Lane ran more routes and was targeted on more routes than Rashad Bateman.
4:04I mean, that's a Titanic shift. This is something that we always are looking for.
4:09When is the number two going to be banished to number three by a rookie?
4:14Like this is, we're always waiting for this to happen.
4:17When is this going to happen? You know, it's in Cleveland.
4:20It's been Casey Concepcion for weeks, not Jerry Judy, not even Denzel Boston.
4:24The number one has been Casey Concepcion. We've talked about Casey Concepcion.
4:28Especially in the plays of the week show. And Dan, do we have a hell of a plays of the week show.
4:35We're going to bring on Justin. Talk about our plays of the week success briefly.
4:40That is one of our 20 takeaways. Jacoby lane was not mentioned in the plays of the week because of the presence of Rashad Bateman.
4:47And it's not like he was that productive. It's not like it was like, Oh my God, this guy helped my fantasy team.
4:55No, no, no, no. We're talking about the underlying usage metrics.
4:58And it is always and forever a big deal when a rookie wide receiver can supplant a starter.
5:04When that happens, you make a note of it.
5:06And if you already believe that that player is good, that just sort of supports the foundation of your priors.
5:13And you just continue to move that player up and up and up across all of your rankings or your ranking services.
5:19If you're me and you're publishing the rankings for the world to see Jacoby lane, five targets, only 25 yards, five fantasy points.
5:27Just a whole performance, right? Just, he would produce the exact same number of fantasy points as Rashad Bateman.
5:33So what's the big deal, right? These guys were the wide receiver two slash three, but no lane was used slightly more than Rashad Bateman.
5:40And that is only going to continue. Jacoby lane is a phenomenal talent.
5:44He is one of the best rookie wide receivers in this class.
5:48Had the best training camp of any Raven in the history of the franchise per the franchise.
5:54Like this is from the spokesman of the Ravens and coaches with the Ravens talking about how phenomenal Jacoby lane was in camp.
6:01And the last time I heard such a glowing review of a wide receiver in camp in Baltimore, it was a flowers.
6:08So eventually this offense is going to be just the Zay flowers and Jacoby lane show.
6:13I like this cuevets. Like I'm always in these tight end premium dynasty leagues looking for the next rookie breakout tight end
6:19next rookie tight end is gaining share, whether it be snap share route, share target share.
6:24There's Cueves again with 35 yards receiving on three targets.
6:28That's exciting, but I just can't get that into Cueves or Hibner or even Mark Andrews on this team.
6:34Mark Andrews had five fantasy points, but Mark Andrews and all these tight ends, they have a Jacoby lane problem.
6:40Even justice Hill, justice Hill has not had as productive of a season as he had last season.
6:45This is a problem for all the auxiliary pass catchers, because I believe that the natural evolution of this offense is going
6:52to be just these two guys hogging all the targets in the long, in the longer term.
6:58You're going to see just these two guys flowers and lane lane and flowers hogging all the targets.
7:03That is how a run first team can still feature multiple fantasy relevant wide receivers.
7:08It's not that common. The run first teams, typically they feature one fantasy relevant wide receiver, but if both receivers are so
7:15good that they command all of the targets, even when there are not that many pass attempts in the game, then they can both get there.
7:23So that is the bulls case for Jacoby lane.
7:26No one is as bullish on Jacoby lane, especially in dynasty.
7:29We talked about trades we've done involving Jacoby lane.
7:32I actually got Jacoby lane as a throw in giving up Lamar Jackson of all players, which is a sort of the anti stacking strategy.
7:40But you know, I'll just tell you right now exactly where we have Jacoby lane in dynasty.
7:45Jacoby lane is ranked on player profiler as wide receiver 36.
7:48And he's only going up from here. Just, just, just, he's already a top 40 dynasty wide receiver on player profile.
7:55That's already happened. And he's only going up another wide receiver that looks like Jacoby lane.
8:00That is interesting is Alec. A. O. Manor. Now this is not a takeaway.
8:04This is just A. O. Manor is another one of these types of players who is commanding a bigger role and outside role, right?
8:12He went three for 44, nothing exciting, but I picked up Alec.
8:16Alec. A. O. Manor in a 14 team deep dynasty league.
8:19He is available everywhere. And he has that body type that Jacoby lane, Casey Concepcion, Alec.
8:24Alec. A. O. Manor modern alpha wide receiver body type, six foot one 95.
8:28These are the guys that are commanding the greatest target shares across the NFL.
8:33It's no longer the six, three, 215 pound wide receivers.
8:36So A. O. Manor out targeted Wandale Robinson. I think this is a watershed game, not only for Jacoby lane showing he
8:43can out target someone like Rashad Bateman, but also A.
8:46O. Manor showing he can out target someone like Wandale Robinson.
8:49A. O. Manor a great stash in dynasty because he's available on waiver wires.
8:54That's the beauty of it. It's like, who do I want to pick up?
8:58Do I want to pick up Jaden blue? Like that's the best running back available.
9:03I got in the practice squad or Alec. A.
9:06O. Manor. It's like Alec. A. O. Manor because Cam Ward is slowly coming around.
9:10This is all happening. Like they're starting to at least not win games.
9:14Like I almost said they won the game. I was like, they won.
9:18They won. Oh, they didn't. Oh, they almost so close.
9:22They were so close. They lost to the Browns.
9:2427, 24. Very close game. Very exciting. Very exciting game.
9:27By far and away, the most exciting Titans and Browns game of the season was week seven.
9:33That's a takeaway. Doesn't count on my 20 takeaways.
9:36Again, you could follow along at home. If you subscribe to the player profile or newsletter, you should be.
9:42You can just follow along at home. It's free.
9:44It's a free newsletter to anyone that wants to play along at home with the top 10 or top 20 takeaways.
9:51In this case, we send it out every Monday when we're not doing a super random improvised show.
9:57Casey Concepcion, another player that does not have the Denzel Boston body type.
10:01And I see that there's a bias towards the Denzel Boston body type.
10:05When you see a guy like Denzel Boston securing a 40 yard catch, it is a little more exciting than seeing Casey
10:12Concepcion break a tackle and go for the same yardage.
10:15But Casey Concepcion this past week, 35% targets per route run.
10:18The target rate for Casey Concepcion is higher because he's a much better separator than Denzel Boston.
10:23I know in a lot of ranking services, including like the crowdsource ranking services, like keep trade cut Denzel Boston ranks ahead of Casey Concepcion in dynasty.
10:32And I don't agree with that. I think that that's kind of silly.
10:36There was it's like Casey Concepcion didn't do anything just to deserve getting moved down.
10:41I know that Denzel Boston did a lot to deserve moving up, but not quite to eclipse Casey Concepcion.
10:46Never thought that made sense. And now this week, all the correction, you're going to see the correction happening.
10:52It's like, why even, why do you even need to correct?
10:56This guy's a first round pick. He's getting targets.
10:59He's just not manifesting the yards and the fantasy production quite yet, but it's all happening.
11:04It's all coming. I guess not like we had to wait for him to come back from an injury or to supplant Jerry Judy.
11:11It was all happening in the first few weeks of the season.
11:15Like it shouldn't even be a takeaway. Like this game from Casey Concepcion was, was coming.
11:20That's very difficult to, to call the rookie breakouts.
11:23It's always very tricky. We're trying. We try every, every week.
11:26Oh, this week is Antonio Williams. Oh, is it?
11:29Oh, it's Omar Cooper. Will it be? Is he hurt?
11:32He's playing. Okay. Good. Jonah Coleman. Jonah Coleman comes back from IR and we're like, okay.
11:37We talked about it on the, on the starter stream show with Chuck Bass.
11:41Again, we, we were aces on that show this week said, Hey, JK Dobbins is a threat to score.
11:47That's why you might have to play JK Dobbins.
11:50It's a, it's a fringe decision. Play JK Dobbins.
11:53He did. He binked the touchdown. But when you look at the underlying metrics, what do you see?
11:59You see 6.0 yards per carry, like just on a per carry basis.
12:03Don't look at anything advanced to look at yards created.
12:06Juke grade on player profiler yards after contact. Don't look at any of that.
12:10Just look at just the pure yards per carry.
12:13And Coleman is just better. Watch the game. Coleman looks like he has more juice.
12:18And then you, you look at the usage and it's like, oh, wow.
12:22Okay. Uh, Coleman was in there in past protection situations.
12:25These are not situations where the running back is going to get many touches.
12:29A lot of these are empty calorie snaps, but they're just trust earning snaps, right?
12:34He doubled RJ Harvey snaps and RJ Harvey played more than JK Dobbins.
12:38Think about that. That's a takeaway. And yet Jonah Coleman did not produce, did not produce big fantasy numbers.
12:44So this is the, this is the recipe for picking up a Jonah Coleman.
12:48Now Jonah Coleman is not available in any deep leagues.
12:51We said, go all in on Jonah Coleman when he was available.
12:55And as soon as he got acquired by all of us, where he happened to be available, he got hurt, right?
13:02We said, go all in. And then we picked him up and then he went to IR like two days later.
13:08Like that was a tragedy. Thankfully the next week we got all the Gordon and Braylon Allen and all has been right
13:15in the world with our streaming running backs. Ever since we got all the, all the Gordon and all the Braylon Allen.
13:22We'll talk about that in a minute. It was always good process to aggressively pursue Jonah Coleman.
13:27And now in shallow leagues, some of you have another bite at the apple because he's 34% owned on the Yahoo platform, little higher roster ship on ESPN.
13:36So just let's not do this again. Okay. Look, we just not, if you're going to go pick him up, don't drop him.
13:43I don't think anyone in this audience dropped him.
13:46My guess is most of you that picked him up a few weeks back, stash him on IR and been waiting the four weeks patiently.
13:54And he's still on your IR. And now you're going to be activating him this week.
13:59That's me. That's probably you, but there are some people that are super fickle and then they pick a guy up and
14:06then they drop him immediately if he gets hurt or he doesn't produce.
14:10And then so those people can be exploited in fantasy football.
14:13Look no further than Jonah Coleman heading into week eight.
14:16Well, let's talk Ollie Gordon. I want to talk.
14:19We mentioned Ollie Gordon. He is a genuine bell cow played 42 of the 52 snaps before garbage time.
14:25So if you, if you just put a, an arbitrary line at the garbage time, when that started, he got 80% of the snaps before that.
14:33Okay. That's, that's what bell cows do. This is a game in which Jalen Wright played and it didn't matter.
14:39Okay. It doesn't matter. Jalen Wright doesn't matter. We've been screaming this for weeks.
14:44That Jalen Wright doesn't matter. Oh, Jalen Wright was more efficient in a small sample last year.
14:49Oh, Jalen Wright was named the starter by Miami.
14:52Miami loves Jalen Wright. None of that. Don't care.
14:55I don't, I, I, I, Ollie Gordon's a 2000 yard rusher in college.
14:59He is a true workhorse. He is the only running back on that roster.
15:03When Devon HN goes down, who can handle an 80% opportunity share?
15:07And it's like, well, he's not going to write.
15:10Remember all the, all the, all the fantasy hipsters fading.
15:13Fading Ollie Gordon. I remember there was a hot take, right?
15:16The hot take was, you know, Ollie Gordon's projected to be the starter for like 14 games moving forward.
15:22But I'm here to tell you, I'm not that interested.
15:25Save your fab money. Remember that? Remember that? All of the hipster analysts telling you, you know what?
15:31Save your fab money. Jalen Wright's more efficient. It's going to be a committee.
15:35There's not a lot of fantasy points to be scored.
15:39Okay. Maybe, maybe that is true. Okay. We're not exactly sure how many fantasy points are going to be scored in Miami.
15:45There is the Alfred Morris corollary, which we talked about where Malik Willis actually creates more room to run for Ollie Gordon
15:52because he himself is a threat to run, especially when they run that option play.
15:57And then sure enough, this is what's happening. Ollie Gordon's having success.
16:01And this is not a bottom five running game.
16:03No, it's not. No, it's not. There are fantasy points to be scored by running backs in Miami, which we keep seeing
16:10week after week after week after week after week.
16:13And this is why there were three players total that we were in on like 40% of your fab budget or more.
16:20It was Jonah Coleman. It was Ollie Gordon. And it was Braylon Allen because these three players have a bell cow profile.
16:27Jonah Coleman is the least explosive of the three, but he has the requisite size, athleticism, run blocking, passable, not run block, pass blocking.
16:34He is good enough across the board to be a bell cow back in the league.
16:39And he's like three guys. And that was it.
16:42And so we haven't been able to bid aggressively for weeks because a guy like this has not emerged.
16:48Okay. That's fine. That's why we spent our money earlier.
16:51I mean, the logic is that for every dollar you spend in fab bidding in free agency has more value.
16:58The earlier on in the season, you can use it.
17:01Then the players you acquire with that money, those funds can play more games and can accrue more fantasy points for your
17:08team, helping you make the playoffs more than a player you pick up in week 10 or 11.
17:13So spend your money when these types of opportunities present themselves.
17:17It just so happens that just a few weeks back, Gordon and Allen were both presented to us on the waiver wire in these seasonal leagues.
17:25And we had to make a decision. We actually had Allen ahead of Gordon.
17:29And that's so far. That's been right. Either way.
17:32You wanted to be aggressive and not be the guy.
17:35We're going to backdoor this and grab Jalen Wright instead at a massive discount.
17:39That was a mistake. That was a mistake. Jalen Wright was never going to be a bell cow back.
17:45If you just watch him, he doesn't look that that's not, he doesn't.
17:49It's obvious, right? This is just where analytics used incorrectly, right?
17:53Used for evil instead of good. That anything that would lead you to picking up Jalen Wright over Ollie Gordon is just misused analytics, right?
18:01And then this Braylon Allen. I mean, can we just, can we just talk about, he is a, he is a total workhorse.
18:08This week he completed the Voltron. Like he did everything.
18:11He's like, I've accomplished everything I can in this four week span as the RB one in New York, except I have not really been a target hog.
18:20And then, so what do you do this week?
18:22Week seven, 24% target share against the Dolphins. And that's it.
18:26That's it. He made it official. That was like, it's, it's done.
18:30He is officially and forever an NFL workhorse. That's it.
18:33Let me give you some stats just in the last four games.
18:37This is courtesy of Zach Rosenblatt on Twitter. Put this all together.
18:40So appreciate that. 357 rushing yards. That is number two among NFL running backs, five yards per carry tied with fifth 22 missed tackles forced.
18:48Number one in the league, 4.21 yards after contact per attempt.
18:52Number two, among NFL running back 10 plus yard runs ranks.
18:55Number one among NFL running backs. He also ranks number one in 15 yard runs and ranks number four in the NFL with 19 first downs.
19:03This is as a running back on the New York jets.
19:07Let that sink in, let that sink in. And you think there's a running back in college right now who is better than Braylon Allen?
19:14Braylon Allen is 22. He is the age of a college running back.
19:18And he's putting up stats in the NFL that would get him drafted in the first round in the NFL draft.
19:25So now you just need to recalibrate. This guy was technically drafted in the fourth round, but he is in effect a first round NFL draft pick.
19:33He is not going to be the starting back for the jets in a couple of years.
19:39If Brees Hall is still on the team, as long as Brees Hall is there in the starter, he is on his way out.
19:46He is destined for a big contract for a running back, a big running back contract as the primary back somewhere in the NFL.
19:54Therefore you need to value him like you would value a 2027 first rounder.
19:58And that is why I was offered a 2027 first rounder for Terry McLaurin, who was just went down right after.
20:05I know, I know, I know. But also the reason why we didn't do that is because they also wanted my second rounder.
20:12So it was just basically like a trade up.
20:15I said, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
20:17We're not doing this. I'm not going to trade into the back of the first round, giving up a premium wide receiver,
20:24though he is at the end now. And now that he has it was before the torn patella.
20:30OK, but just a wide receiver with that Terry McLaurin profile aging wide receiver.
20:34OK, I'll give you a first round pick for an aging wide receiver, a couple other players and Braylon Allen, and I need your second rounder in return.
20:43And I said, no, I was tempted. We talked about this.
20:46I was tempted. The only thing holding me back.
20:49I was that was I was accepting that deal.
20:52I was like, I am. I am getting out of this Terry McLaurin as fast as I can.
20:58Man, I don't need those fantasy points. I'm rebuilding.
21:01This guy's burning a hole in my pocket. I need to get out of Terry McLaurin.
21:06I need to get the help. I need to run in high.
21:09Right. And I couldn't do it. I had coach on the phone.
21:13Typically, I do these trades and I just send them to coach.
21:17I just text him for the next trade gods episode.
21:20It's a podcast we do. It's called trade guys subscribe.
21:23And I couldn't do it. I was like, I'm not giving up Braylon Allen.
21:27I know that there are certainly dynasty analysts telling their audience to sell high on Braylon Allen.
21:33It is very much a it is a crayon take, right?
21:36That you just you do one plus one equals two in dynasty.
21:40You have a fourth round running back who breaks out and keeps posting RB one weeks.
21:45You make sure you trade him for a 2027 first before the starter returns.
21:49That is that is just the most rudimentary dynasty trade strategy that exists.
21:53And I will say the reason why that is such a prevalent thing.
21:57Tactic in dynasty is because it works. It really works.
22:00You follow that method. You will bank talent over and over and over again.
22:05Your team will accrue and accrue and accrue and accrue lifetime value.
22:09And you'll build a super team over time. You keep pulling trades like that.
22:13But the reason why we exist, the reason why I'm here and Cody and Justin, the producer and everybody else, the reason
22:20why we exist is because there are moments where we have to raise our hand, put our finger up and say, actually,
22:27not this time, not this time, not this particular player in this particular situation, this particular time.
22:32Now, if it was an early first rate, yes, of course I'm doing it.
22:36If it was a top five pick instead of like the 111 or 112, I would have done it for that kind of trade up.
22:44I would have done it. Sure. But it would have been a late first rounder.
22:49And I said, late first rounder or Braylon Allen.
22:52I don't even know which one I would take.
22:54To me, it's close. To me, it's close. And so I just couldn't do it.
22:59I couldn't do it. The instincts took over and I just couldn't do it.
23:04It's like in poker when the math says you have to call.
23:07Pot odds say you have to call. Pot odds say you have to call.
23:12Pot odds. Pot odds. I got to do it.
23:14I got to do it. You're right. Every book on poker says I got to call here.
23:20Every book on dynasty, except this one. This book does not have that tactic in it because of this particular moment.
23:26It's not an unwavering rule of thumb. Oh, no, no, no, no.
23:30No, no, no. We exist so we could highlight the fact that Braylon Allen is just different.
23:35This is the best backup running back in the league.
23:39And he's going to be a bell cow somewhere else.
23:42This is freakish talent. This is like Derrick Henry with better hands.
23:45I know they're going to clip that. They're going to clip.
23:49I know they're going to clip it. Justin's writing it down.
23:52I can see him writing it down in the other screen.
23:56I can see him. Write it down. That's going to be on the Twitter X machine.
24:01You're going to Twitter. You're going to see it.
24:04Braylon Allen is Derrick Henry with hands. I stand by it, though.
24:07You know what else? The data stands by it.
24:10Everything stands by it. Think was the last time Derrick Henry had a game with a 24% target share child, please.
24:17I mean, I am fired up today, man. When I looked up and I saw what Ollie Gordon did, especially the snap share for Ollie Gordon.
24:25We've talked about the snap share for Braylon Allen.
24:28He had a hundred percent opportunity share among running backs.
24:31That's hard to do. In any given game in the NFL season post 100% opportunity share.
24:36Look at these advanced usage statistics. You're like Ollie Gordon and Braylon Allen are there.
24:40The nuts at running back from the waiver wire.
24:43And it's like, yeah, that's why we don't overspend on wide receiver on the waiver wire.
24:48Because we need to hoard our cash for guys like Jonah Coleman, Braylon Allen and Ollie Gordon.
24:53And we're always looking for the next guy. And by the way, if Braylon Allen were the starter across an entire 17
25:00game schedule, if you extrapolated this one month of production, he would be a 1500 yard rusher.
25:06Okay. That's also because the Jets are not a bad running team.
25:09The Jets are not going to say they're good.
25:12It's hard to say that any team like the Jets is good at anything.
25:17The Titans, what are they really good at? My first instinct was not to say that they're good.
25:22It was to say they were not bad. The Jets, their running game is not bad.
25:27I'm not going to say it's good, but it's not bad.
25:31With Braylon Allen, it's good. And then the question becomes, Brees Hall returns and then what?
25:36Brees Hall returns and they're just going to stop feeding Braylon Allen at all?
25:40I think Braylon Allen has earned a significant role as an early down grinder and that limits what Brees Hall can be.
25:47Brees Hall's ceiling is certainly lower if he's not going to get the touches.
25:51The floor is there. The floor is always there with Brees Hall because he's going to get targets out of the backfield,
25:58though I will say the emergence of Adonai Mitchell.
26:01He came back. He ran a route at a similar rate to Omar Cooper and Omar Cooper's been breaking out all over the place.
26:08Another boom performance for Omar Cooper, another touchdown. So where is the target sure going to come from for Brees Hall?
26:15Where are the carries going to come from? You got to siphon them away from Braylon Allen.
26:20So there's going to be a touch squeeze waiting for Brees Hall when he returns.
26:25That's why when you go to our rankings, our seasonal rankings, you're not going to love where Brees Hall is.
26:31Brees Hall in dynasty is slipping, not just because he hasn't played and he's still hurt, but the environment he's coming back
26:38to, the touch distribution, it just can't be what it was.
26:42It can't. But at least the Jets are a quality run game.
26:45Oh, I can't say that they're not. They're not a bad run game.
26:49Can't say that. I can't use any words that are positive.
26:53It's, you know, can't. No positive attributes allowed for the Jets, but we can say things like not bad.
26:59There are some teams that have really bad running games, truly bad.
27:02The Chargers, they can't get out of their own way.
27:06They can't run block. You see clips of them trying to run block.
27:10A guard pulls, trips over himself. It's embarrassing. The Texans are embarrassing.
27:13Packers, Raiders, Commanders, Eagles, Saints, and Patriots. These are the worst running games, the worst run blocking units in the NFL.
27:20And you look at some of these teams and you see some by-low opportunities.
27:24Look at some young, explosive running backs on teams that can't run block.
27:28You're like, okay, there's a buying opportunity there. Or there's a satellite back player that doesn't need to score points as a
27:35runner, but can score points as a receiver. So for example, the Patriots.
27:39In the near term, Ramadre Stevenson can score points as a receiver.
27:43And Trevion Henderson is a long-term buy because it's only going to get better.
27:47They're eventually going to figure out their interior offensive line.
27:51Trevion Henderson is playing on a high ankle sprain.
27:53He's been injured all year. He's been playing injured all year.
27:57He's eventually, by the second half of the season, going to get healthy.
28:01They are eventually going to figure out their offensive line.
28:04And they're not going to invest in the running game again this offseason.
28:08So Trevion Henderson is an interesting buy-in dynasty. A Marion Hampton, that is the clear and obvious buy.
28:14He is a first-round pick. Their running game can't get any worse.
28:17So you are looking strategically for opportunistic buy-lows on a Trevion Henderson, opportunistic buy-lows on a Marion Hampton.
28:23And then in seasonal leagues, redraft. Keaton Mitchell, Alvin Kamara, Rashad White.
28:27Those are the satellite backs that get it done in the passing game.
28:31And they will actually get an influx of targets because the team knows they can't actually run the ball straight ahead.
28:37They've got to get creative. So when you identify the teams that can't run the ball, sometimes there are some satellite backs
28:44that are capable of 10-plus fantasy points. Look at Alvin Kamara.
28:48It's like last couple weeks, putting up over 10 fantasy points.
28:51He's been useful. Rashad White, going to be useful.
28:54I think Keaton Mitchell is going to have some weeks as the season plays itself out.
28:59Then there's Ashton Gentry. Of those teams that I mentioned, Chargers, Texans, Packers, Raiders, Commanders, Eagles, Saints, Patriots.
29:05Not a lot of running backs you want, right?
29:07A lot of trap running backs. There's a reason why those running backs are traps, including Josh Jacobs.
29:13I mean, Josh Jacobs is an absolute sell high.
29:16I mean, this is the pinnacle sell high on Josh Jacobs.
29:19He comes back and allows any concerns whatsoever. But how did he do it?
29:24The vast majority of his fantasy points were scored as a receiver.
29:27And he posted what running backs for the Packers have been posting all year, around three yards of carry.
29:33The dusty Josh Jacobs was already leaking efficiency last year in 2025.
29:37So do you think it was going to be different in 2026?
29:41No. Josh Jacobs is a strong sell in all formats right now, right this second.
29:46A guy like Woody Marks. Think about a guy like Woody Marks.
29:49He got 100% of the running back touches this past week.
29:53Posted eight fantasy points. It's a problem. For Woody Marks, it was one thing when all the receivers were injured.
29:59And then he could command eight targets. Okay. That's the situation that Rashad White finds himself in.
30:04All these receivers in Washington are hurt. So Rashad White's going to command six to eight targets in these games.
30:10It's like, oh, wow. Okay. Washington's losing and Rashad White's cleaning up.
30:14Right? Houston's playing from behind. There's Woody Marks getting peppered with targets.
30:18But now there's no path for Woody Marks to score any fantasy points.
30:22Because David Montgomery is going to come back and take those inefficient carries away.
30:26So he's losing a few points there. And then he can't command the target share.
30:31Why? Because if there was a team in the NFL where you could say there are too many miles to feed, it is Houston.
30:39I mean, we started the process this year of bringing this cliche to life.
30:43Saying we would never say this. We would never use this cliche ever.
30:47Cliche alert people whenever they try to use it.
30:50Cliche alert! And then at some point, I started saying it.
30:53And it felt good. And the rule of thumb was that if there are a lot of quality receivers and it's not
31:00a quality passing game, it's not an elite quarterback.
31:03That quarterback does not have elite protection. It's not like Houston is protecting CJ Stroud very well.
31:08It's not like CJ Stroud himself can carry an offense.
31:11So what does that mean? That means that if there is a preponderance of receiving talent in Houston, in that particular situation,
31:18there will be too many miles to feed. There's no such thing as too many miles to feed in Cincinnati with Joe Burrow.
31:25There's no such thing as too many miles to feed in New England with Drake May or Chicago with Caleb Williams.
31:32But there is in a place like Houston. That's a place where you can't have too many miles to feed.
31:38And I've never seen such an extreme number of miles that can't be fed.
31:43I'm trying to think. I found a new way to word this.
31:46It was important. In our sub-stack newsletter, we sent out to anyone that's subscribed to the newsletter for free.
31:52Put the whole show sheet. Laid the whole show sheet out for everybody to see.
31:57And there we said, there's too many hungry mouths in Houston.
32:00That's the way we're going to say this from now on.
32:04There's too many hungry mouths. That's the way we're going to get around it.
32:08I think it's like, let us know in the chat, the comments.
32:12Is that a sufficient way to get around this cliche?
32:15It's really, it's really not that creative, is it?
32:18Nico Collins ran a go route and like half of his routes.
32:22That's a huge number. It's rare. That's like Taequann Thornton level field stretching.
32:26Nico Collins should not be deployed as you would deploy Deshaun Jackson.
32:29This is not good. That's good. And then what happens?
32:33What happens? Nico Collins dutted out this week. Tank Dell had a 43 yard catch.
32:37Xavier Hutchinson scored. Marvin Harrison Jr. Scored. Jalen Knoll and Kayshaun Booty had two targets.
32:42So Nico Collins has a problem. There are too many mouths to feed.
32:46There are too many hungry mouths in Houston. Nico is one of them.
32:50And it is becoming a problem. Because he needs to be fed like a volume alpha X receiver, not deployed like a field stretcher.
32:58So this is your Nico Collins warning. And don't be surprised when a guy like Casey Concepcion, who has the youth and
33:04is getting the targets, passes Nico Collins in Dynasty.
33:07I can't believe player profile is so far ahead on this.
33:11Yeah. Because the data is telling a story that is scary as we approach Halloween.
33:15Scary stuff in Houston. Scary, scary stuff. You can't use any of these guys.
33:20You can use Nico Collins. I mean, of course you could use Nico Collins.
33:24So we're not going to go there with a hyperbole, but you can't fully trust all these guys.
33:30How about that? Certainly can't trust Dalton Schultz anymore.
33:33It's got way too much competition for targets. You can't trust any of these guys week to week anymore.
33:38Oh, but you can trust JJ McCarthy. Is this the thing that's happening?
33:43Because against Houston, I saw JJ McCarthy playing well.
33:45He was efficient. He posted a positive EPA on that game, right?
33:49You look at all his dropbacks, positive EPA, better than Cam Ward, better than Daniel Jones, better EPA against Houston than even Joe Burrow.
33:57It's interesting. And yet the Vikings who traded JJ McCarthy, their young first round future of the franchise a couple of years
34:03ago, they just dumped him on the side of the road for a day three pick swap.
34:09And you're like, well, this team is smart. They, they, they picked up Kyler Murray off the trash heap.
34:15They trained him to play differently. He's a brand new guy.
34:18Taking care of the football, not turning it over.
34:21They're six and Oh. Now, granted, Justin Jefferson just had eight fantasy points.
34:25Jordan Addison has only scored more than 10 fantasy points in one game this year.
34:30And that was a game that Justin Jefferson was injured.
34:33TJ Hawkinson got there. Thankfully with a touchdown, Jordan Mason's back from IR.
34:37He took over that backfield 19 of 34 snaps after Aaron Jones went down all good signs, but Aaron Jones left with a lower body injury.
34:45And this is a known concern for Aaron Jones.
34:48What needs to happen is Jonathan Taylor needs to go to Minnesota.
34:52If I'm Minnesota, I'm calling Indianapolis. If I'm Indianapolis, I am calling Minnesota.
34:56How has this trade not got done already? It should have been done last night.
35:00This is a trade that should get done. I believe will get done.
35:04The alternative is Saquon Barkley. And I get it.
35:07Like if you're, you're leveraging Kyler Murray as a rental this year, you could also do the same with a one year
35:14rental or a half year rental on Saquon Barkley.
35:17Fine. That's fine. Like that's a trade that could happen too.
35:20If the Jonathan Taylor trade falls through, but this Vikings team, they're right.
35:24They're ready to wheel and deal. They shipped JJ McCarthy out of town.
35:28Look like geniuses with a six and all record, but under the surface, it's a head scratcher.
35:34Why did you let JJ McCarthy go? JJ McCarthy looks really good.
35:37And JJ McCarthy has the equivalent of Justin Jefferson in New York and Malik neighbors.
35:42It's a similar offense. Why couldn't you make it work with your premium first round talent?
35:47Now you're letting a conference competitor potentially beat you with that team at some point with that quarterback.
35:53Like imagine a year from now, two years from now, the Vikings face the giants in the playoffs and it's JJ McCarthy
36:00with one of the ultimate revenge games that could happen.
36:03No, it won't because Jackson darts coming back, but can imagine, can imagine maybe it's not the giants.
36:08Maybe it's someone else. What is going to happen with him?
36:12Right? Maybe, maybe it does happen. Maybe they keep him as a backup.
36:16Dark gets hurt again. Then all of a sudden there's a, there's a quarterback controversy.
36:21Imagine that we don't know what's going to happen.
36:23This is just, we're just peeling the layers, peeling the layers back.
36:27What is going to, there's so much intrigue with what will happen with JJ McCarthy in the long run.
36:33Where does he go from here? What are the giants do with him?
36:37Does he completely blow away expectations, continue to exceed expectations against lower quality defenses in the weeks ahead?
36:43Is there a quarterback controversy in the off season?
36:46Does that actually manifest? Can Jackson dart stay healthy?
36:48Would they, would they keep JJ McCarthy on the team as Jackson dart insurance?
36:53And then it happens again. Like we said, next thing you know, there's Vikings and giants are playing in this, in, in the playoffs.
37:00And JJ McCarthy's under center. That could happen. There's a world where that happens.
37:05And it would be unbelievably cool and fun to see, but yes, Jonathan Taylor needs to go to Minnesota and that would open things up.
37:12Like we, like we all want for Seth McGowan.
37:15I'm saying, I want this to happen. Not only because it makes sense in like just how the football universe plays itself out.
37:22It just makes too much sense. Like all would be right in the universe to see Jonathan Taylor in a Viking, his uniform.
37:30It would be cool. Like, and he stays in that area of the country where he played college, played Wisconsin, just crosses
37:36over same, same environment, same climate, same type of fans appreciate a guy like Jonathan Taylor.
37:41It just makes sense for him to go to Minnesota.
37:45All would be right in the universe. And it would also help that I have a lot of Seth McGowan, right?
37:51So we are going to reemphasize the scooping and stashing as we do every week of Seth McGowan in our fab guidance
37:58on Patreon, patreon.com slash pod father, where we post our fab guidance.
38:02There, you're going to see Seth McGowan again, but I'll make sure I talk about it here as well.
38:08Scoop Seth McGowan. We talked about this in the, the staff league, the pod father already picks up Seth McGowan before everyone
38:15is rushing to try to grab him. Jonathan Taylor's on the trade block.
38:19Jonathan Taylor trade talks are happening. Let me go get Seth McGowan.
38:22Damn it. The pod father already has him. Yes.
38:25I have a lot of Seth McGowan in dynasty.
38:28And we've, we've recently revamped our whole dynasty sync package.
38:31So if you go to dynasty deluxe, go to dynasty sync, and we've created a whole new menu items and, and, and
38:38revamped so many of the, the, the sections. Like you can see your roster percentage across all of your fantasy teams.
38:45And there's Seth McGowan way up there. It was a proper one third, two third split.
38:5030 plus percent of the snaps went to Seth McGowan in this game in week seven, played 20 snaps.
38:55That's really good to see. That is incredibly encouraging.
38:58He's just marching up, up, up, up higher and higher and higher snaps here.
39:03We can week out building that trust, which will then allow the team, the confidence to trade him, trade Jonathan Taylor and
39:10put Seth McGowan in a, in a bell cow role.
39:13If we get Seth McGowan in a bell cow role before all of these other running backs.
39:18I mean, can you imagine Seth McGowan outscoring Jeremiah love this year?
39:22That's a thing that could happen. I mean, you need to get ready, brace yourself.
39:26Everyone needs to brace themselves for Seth McGowan outscore Jeremiah love in fantasy football this year.
39:31I'm owning it. Everybody get ready for Seth McGowan to somehow, some way outscore Jeremiah love this year.
39:37It's very much a possibility. Admit that it's a possibility.
39:40You can see it. Jonathan Taylor gets traded. Next thing you know, we got a healthy all purpose back that got kicked around one college after another.
39:49Couldn't find a home in college. We have plenty of quarterbacks like that.
39:53Bo Nix took him years to find a home in college.
39:56Ended up being a relatively old prospect when he came out.
40:00Wasn't actually that productive throughout his college career. Same thing with Seth McGowan, but he had the raw skillset to get drafted.
40:06And then he, he wins that RB two job in camp and his role just continues to grow week in, week out.
40:13Josh downs is like the anti version of that for wide receivers, whatever the opposite of that is for a wide receiver.
40:20It's Josh downs. He was technically the target leader.
40:23He like a 19% target share this week. Technically the target leader.
40:27No one has ever done less with more than what we're seeing from Josh downs.
40:31Really disappointing. That is the egg on my face.
40:34I'm like, Hey, this guy is getting targets and he is dynamic and they don't have anybody left target conservation.
40:40And it doesn't matter. It's just Daniel Jones is so dusty.
40:44He can't even get the ball. The Josh downs, Josh downs saving us all from Alec Pierce, right?
40:49Josh downs is running some of those Alec Pierce routes.
40:53And they, they're just prayer routes. They have no chance of ever being targeted on or creating a connection.
40:59You're not going to, it's not going to happen with Daniel Jones.
41:02That's not his strength. And now post Achilles rupture, he's even more inclined to just underneath to Keenan Allen, underneath to Keenan Allen.
41:09Those are passes. He can actually complete at least with, with Alec Pierce.
41:14See he's on IR. So we don't need to start him.
41:17We don't get tricked into starting him. Instead of me getting tricked into starting Josh downs.
41:22I mean, not this past week I had enough, but like the week before last in the player profile or staff league, Josh downs, just killing me.
41:30No one this year has done less with more.
41:33Caleb Douglas is the opposite. Caleb Douglas is doing a lot with a little right.
41:38Didn't get peppered with targets was didn't have a huge target share, but what do you do?
41:43Two touchdowns and a 63 yard catch. That's how you get there.
41:47That's how you blot out the sun. When you compare Caleb Douglas on the one hand to Chris bell on the other, there's no comparison.
41:55One guy is absolutely eclipsing. The other guy in fantasy production, Chris bell is an exciting talent.
42:00Has that Debo Samuel yak ability. That Debo Samuel yak profile has a lower probability of hitting at the NFL level.
42:07Then the Caleb Douglas outside technician, technician, that guy, that guy looks like a taller version of like a Devante Smith.
42:13That guy has a much better chance of breaking out and finding a real role for the NFL team to get fed.
42:20Then the manufactured touches and targets that a Chris bell will command because he's that exciting.
42:25And certainly there is a breakout path for a guy like Chris bell.
42:29It's just a lower probability. So when you go to the player profile or dynasty rankings, you need to be prepared to
42:36see Caleb Douglas, finally showing health, proving once again that he can command targets and score fantasy points.
42:42Now that he's back and he's doing that again, there's nothing left.
42:45There's nothing left. There's nothing supporting Chris bell continuing to rank ahead of Caleb Douglas and dynasty.
42:51It doesn't, it's not there anymore. It's his entire case is evaporated.
42:54And we just need to move all in on Caleb Douglas.
42:58These two guys, Caleb Douglas and Jacoby lane, they are grossly underrated in all formats, including dynasty.
43:03And then we have them tethered together. If you look at where they are in the dynasty rankings, they're just, they're tethered
43:10together and they've been steadily moving up and up and up on the starter stream show with Chuck.
43:16I have to, I have to give a big, a big round of applause to us, myself and Chuck told people waking
43:23up early, jumping on the stream, early morning show, 9am bench Garrett Wilson.
43:27It was a bench Garrett Wilson week. We said bench Garrett Wilson.
43:30And we said, start cam Scadaboo. Oh baby. Oh baby.
43:33The cam Scadaboo conviction. I got clipped with my cam Scadaboo conviction last week and I stand by it.
43:39Oh yeah. I'll stand by that. What do you do this week?
43:43Oh, I don't know. 124 yards scored, put up 17 carries.
43:47I know Tyrone Tracy was hurt, but we saw the backflip.
43:50Do you think the coach is going to see that backflip and be like, no, we can't play that guy anymore.
43:57This backfield is, has been resettled. Just incredibly bad timing for Tyrone Tracy and his career for that to happen, where you're
44:03like, you get that opportunity for whatever happened in the locker room with cam Scadaboo.
44:08Maybe he stepped on the coach's foot. I have no idea what happened.
44:12Maybe, maybe gave him a little like a little, uh, crotch whack or something like that.
44:17It's up coach. And then gets benched Tyrone Tracy's he's an all purpose talent.
44:22He's like a baseline, all purpose primary back in the league, a guy you can give at least like a 55% opportunity share to.
44:29And, and it would still give you a good chance to win because teams don't know what's coming.
44:35He can catch the ball. He can run the ball, but cam Scadabooch is better in all phases, better than always.
44:41So in the long run in dynasty, you don't overreact to these situations.
44:45Oh, guy gets benched. The talent profile will win the day.
44:49You notice in the dynasty rankings, he did not crater certainly moves down.
44:53Certainly he moved down. We talked about, he moved down to the Judkins tier.
44:57He was above the Judkins tier. That's the kind of talent and the situation that cam Scadaboo is going to find himself in now.
45:05And also in the, in the years ahead, it's very exciting, but if he is going to get benched, okay, he at
45:12least belongs in like the quinshawn Judkins tier and quinshawn Judkins had a great game as did cam Scadaboo.
45:17Perfect. You know who else is in that tier?
45:20Brie saw Scadaboo and Judkins moving up Brie saw going in the other direction.
45:25I'm not sorry. And looking, looking back at the place of the week show, Jamison Williams, boom.
45:30Also the Rams running backs. We talked about Kyron had to, had to call out Kyron, but also call out Blake Corum.
45:37Like either one is fine. Like they're both going to hit this.
45:41Anytime you have two running backs in the same team hitting, it's very exciting.
45:45I can remember there was a, I think my favorite example of this, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Mike Allstott and Warwick
45:52Dunn, just the ultimate thunder and lightning, not thunder and lightning situation.
45:56It's just a little stormy, like a storm clouds.
45:58I think maybe a light drizzle. Maybe that's what Kyron Williams and Blake Corum compared to Mike Allstott and Warwick Dunn.
46:05I wouldn't say a light drizzle. That's, that's too harsh.
46:08That's too harsh. Who's a light drizzle? Tajay Spears.
46:11That's a light drizzle, not a light drizzle. I would say a storm clouds, right?
46:16They're both storm clouds. They're good. There's not, not lightning yet, not quite thunder, but storm clouds gathering with a Kyron Williams and Blake Corum.
46:23Let's bring in Justin. Justin, you ready to talk about the success of the plays of the week show?
46:29Cause you produced that show or your thoughts on it, man, we were hitting last week.
46:34We were over 50% on every single position. That's man back-to-back weeks called trade Tucker.
46:39We're have a big one back-to-back weeks have pits really been hitting those running backs.
46:44Those Rams running backs are a good call to, we were, we featured Kyron, but like you said, man, Blake is the
46:51play to go to, especially since peak Puka is the only, you know, healthy wide receiver.
46:56They got to throw to someone. How do you do it?
46:59Unless you think mum field's going to command a ton of targets or Parkinson did command a bunch of targets or some third tight end.
47:07Like, you know what Higby is, you know what Parkinson is.
47:10Is there some third tight end? I guess Davis Allen comes in, gets the touchdowns.
47:15Didn't matter though. There just weren't enough receivers. I mean, mum field had like one target.
47:20There just weren't enough receivers commanding targets to prevent Coram and Kyron from getting there.
47:25We're just a great spot for the running game in general.
47:28And then you saw that they're, they're both commanding targets and it is perfect.
47:32That's how you do it. I'd love to see more formations where the two running backs are split backfield.
47:38They're both back there. I think that's a, that's a team that could do that.
47:43I expect more of that from McVay. He can get creative.
47:46One of the most innovative play callers. There is one of the rare, there are actually good coaches.
47:52Like it's like very few that are, that have not been revealed as a fraud.
47:57Eventually McVay has not yet been revealed as a fraud.
48:00And so I expect him to do some cool creative stuff and continue to do that.
48:05And props to Puka for gutting it out. I mean, Puka Nakua, what a, what a, what a stud, man.
48:11I mean, just that game knowing he wasn't a hundred percent, just, just awesome.
48:15You know, just awesome to see a guy going out there and producing, knowing that probably shouldn't have been out there really.
48:22And it's like, Hey, we're, we're, we're going, we're going to Las Vegas.
48:26We got to get this win, right? If they didn't win that game, they would have been two and five.
48:33So that's where Puka is like, I'm a professional wide receiver.
48:36We need to win. I got to play. Yeah.
48:39It just, uh, the Rams being smart and make sure to give the ball to your best players.
48:45Uh, but also they, they use, uh, Puka as a extension of the, running game as well.
48:50And, you know, get the ball around the line of scrimmage and set up some blockers for him, let them go pick up eight yards.
48:58Seemed like they were trying to keep everyone around the line of scrimmage this week.
49:02Probably wasn't healthy. Like you say, what about that desperation stream?
49:06What about the Savion Williams? You catch any of that Packers game?
49:10Yeah, man, he was involved everywhere. That was, that was fun.
49:13I was hoping for a touchdown just so we could really hit on that desperation stream.
49:18Uh, but, but yeah, they, giving him the ball, you know, handed it to him.
49:23It was definitely highly involved this week. It was fun.
49:26That was our desperation stream of the week. And I love what I saw from him.
49:31I mean, another game where he had multiple carries.
49:34That was huge. And in the last two weeks, he's gone seven for seven.
49:38Cause I get a lot of these, these passes.
49:41They're short intermediate routes. That's his specialty. He's not, he's a yak guy, right?
49:45Like is I, he's kind of, it's kind of got some similarities with Chris bell.
49:50Uh, like the least expensive version of Chris bell that's available, but people are picking him up, man.
49:55He's not available in dynasty leagues. Like he was, he was widely available, even in very deep dynasty leagues.
50:01And that I was so happy to be able to get, get him the week before.
50:06I was like, I think he's going to be activated, scoop him up everywhere.
50:11Uh, and then I know he didn't produce huge numbers, but when you, when you're talking about a desperation stream, if you
50:18can just get those seven fantasy points, then to me, that's a win.
50:22I, I, I got a guy to produce something.
50:24And sometimes that can make the difference between winning and losing go from two fantasy points to seven.
50:30There you go. Sometimes you can win by three, four points.
50:34That's all. It's all it takes in these deep leagues.
50:37It's all it takes. Sometimes it's just get something, get five to 10 points.
50:41From that last flex play. Yeah. Generally when you're streaming those, you know, desperation plays, it's not like it's one of your star players.
50:49So, you know, if you're really looking for a bi-week fill in or something like that.
50:54So if you, if the players projected five points and they give you eight, that's a win, you know, it's not like
51:00you're banking on this player the rest of the season.
51:03Now I don't know what it's going to look like coming out of the bi, but I can tell you, I'm very
51:10disappointed, incredibly disappointed that Jordan Watkins is not playing in week eight.
51:14Cause I could have telegraphed you right now. Plays of the week show in three or four days.
51:20We're going to have Jordan Watkins featured. Absolutely. I know it.
51:23It's going to happen. And then you look up and it's like, no, you're not.
51:28I was like, doesn't matter who the opponent is.
51:31Like, well, but pod father, what if, what if his opponent is bi-week?
51:35Ooh, Ooh, I was going to start him against everybody except bi-week in the deepest, craziest, fringiest situations.
51:40This is what, this is a very deep desperation play because what I saw from Jordan Watkins was really, really good.
51:47Put, put that, put that up on the screen.
51:50Like let's take a look at this catch. This was a catch.
51:53Tell me this isn't a catch. How was this not a catch?
51:57They explained it to me. And I still don't know how that wasn't a catch.
52:02Yeah. I was expecting them to keep it as called.
52:05I can't believe that they were to reverse that fought through the contact and everything.
52:10It looked good. And he looked good the rest of the game, but this, this would have put the icing on the cake for sure.
52:18He actually ran fewer routes than Brandon cooks in this game, which surprised me.
52:22I had them running the same number of routes.
52:25Pretty much. Watkins had run significantly more routes the previous week.
52:28Jordan Watkins is actually someone that can go out and make plays on the outside.
52:33And so I was like, okay, that's the, this is the one difference maker they have among the wide receiving core.
52:39That just means the targets are going to funnel to George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey.
52:44George Kittle did not have the week. I thought he would.
52:48I mean, didn't you, weren't you expecting more from Kittle?
52:51Yeah. Just one of those. Uh, they over-involved K, uh, Caitlin black in the beginning.
52:55And then he had a weird fumble and Christian McCaffrey was kind of hurt.
53:00It was just one of those weird weeks for, uh, San Francisco.
53:03And then they got beat to Atlanta. I took advantage of that.
53:07I mean, it was the ultimate process play where he goes out.
53:11George Kittle. He does get you 10 targets. He does post more than 10 yards per reception.
53:16He was largely good, but in PPR leagues, we're just talking about 14 fantasy points.
53:21I had this penciled in as a 20 fantasy point performance for George Kittle.
53:25And it just didn't happen. Had he got the touchdown, what would that have been?
53:30If one of those catches was a touchdown, that would have been exactly 20 fantasy points.
53:35At the beginning of the year, we talk a lot about process versus results because we're dealing with small samples.
53:41This is, this is, this is like a throwback takeaway that if you play George Kittle with confidence and you didn't get
53:48the ceiling performance you were hoping for, don't worry.
53:51That was incredible process. Even if he, even if he caught, let's say six passes for 60 yards or six passes for
53:5840 yards, I would have said, I would just still come here in front of this microphone.
54:03And so that was great process. The law of the conservation of targets, right?
54:07Desperation stream, Brandon cooks, Jordan Watkins. You're better off doing that than, than, than streaming a guy where that has a totally unknown snap share, right?
54:16Like we're not sure how the targets will be distributed in new England on Thursday night, right?
54:21How, how many, what's the snap share going to be for Chisholm versus Demario Douglas unknown, right?
54:26We don't know versus Kyle Williams. You look up, Kyle Williams is, is playing in most of the snaps in the first quarter.
54:33Like, Oh wow. Kyle Williams snap shares, you know, his route participation rate really high, not getting the targets.
54:39You just don't know. Like the first game after a Dobbs goes down and an AJ Brown comes back in, you're just
54:46not sure what the personnel packages are going to look like in this particular situation with a team like San Francisco, losing
54:53both Debo and Mike Evans and already having stripling on the IR.
54:57Then, you know, you know, for a fact, a guy like Jordan Watkins, who can make big plays down the field is
55:04going to get a 70% snap share. He's going to run 70% of the routes as well.
55:09So get him in there and see what happens.
55:12And so I was like, Oh man, like that could have been like the streamer.
55:16So I was like, well, we'll run it back.
55:19It's okay. Don't count the touchdown. We'll run it back the next week.
55:23Oh no, they're playing by week still though. Stash him right.
55:27Because of the by week, Jordan Watkins will be easier to stash.
55:31You don't have to bid as much. If he's available in your dynasty league, you just won't have to bid as much
55:37because of the by week coming up. But yes, absolutely stash him.
55:41He looks fun. He's athletic. I mean, put his player page up on the screen, Justin.
55:46I mean, this guy's, he's running a sub four or five 40 and he plays bigger than five 11.
55:52His best comp, I think is someone like a Darius Slayton, but, but Darius Slayton had weeks.
55:57Darius Slayton's had 20 point performances in the NFL.
56:00Jordan Watkins is going to have a 20 point performance at some point.
56:04He's in the right. Call it. Stay tuned. Mason Taylor is the tight end one in New York, by the way.
56:11It's not kidding. Sadiq. He ran twice as many routes as Sadiq.
56:15Sadiq is going to have to wait a year.
56:17That's the bottom line. Mason Taylor is interesting. I mean, Mason Taylor is going to be someone.
56:23I can promise you. We will have as a desperation tight end stream at some point later this year, because he is the starter.
56:30They're playing him out wide too. They're not just playing him in line.
56:34They're deploying him. Like you would like to just switch it.
56:38Just, just switch it around. Play Sadiq and all these snaps and all these formations run these routes.
56:43No, they won't do it. Remember Sadiq had that one big 23 point game.
56:48I still remember that week three. Oh, seems like yesterday.
56:51It was a month ago and it was so satisfying.
56:54But do you remember who that game was against?
56:57Do you remember who Sadiq exploited in week three?
57:00It was Detroit, the softest tight end defense in the history of the NFL.
57:04So, and we need to talk about Matthew golden.
57:07Matthew golden is not good at football. This is something that I've been saying since he came out and was drafted in
57:14the first round out of Texas, in spite of a 24% dominator rating, he looks like someone who'd be great on special
57:20teams like Santana Moss, but not nearly as productive as Santana Moss as an actual receiver.
57:25And what's happening right now in green Bay, they are throwing the ball a lot to Matthew golden.
57:31They are throwing it deep to Matthew golden. Matthew golden is number one in the NFL and unrealized air yards.
57:37He's also number 70 in catch rate among like 80, like 80 receivers.
57:41I think qualify for a ranking on player profiler in the catch rate metric.
57:46He's 70th. And this is Jordan love. This is not like, this is not a Cooper rush at quarterback situation.
57:52This is not good. Okay. Unrealized air yards are nice depending on the context.
57:56They can be a buying opportunity, but when you're forcing the ball to a, to a wide receiver one, and he's not
58:03delivering, if that's the source of the unrealized air yards, that's a bad sign.
58:08That is a bad sign. They're proud of us in spite of what we saw on keep trade cut, the crowdsourced ranking
58:14systems, just propelling a guy like Matthew golden into outer space.
58:18No, right. The reason you subscribe to player profiler is so that you can go to the dynasty rankings and see, Oh
58:25wait, they don't even have him in the top 20.
58:28We've never had him in the top 20. And he like almost got to that point.
58:33And now it's going to start coming down because he needs to make room for guys like Casey Concepcion.
58:39Now, admittedly, it gets pretty soft in that area of the dynasty rankings.
58:43That's the area of a Devante Smith, Nico Collins, like we talked about now has a, has a target problem in a, in a, a route inventory problem.
58:52Roma Dunze. I mean, Roma Dunze is just one of the more disappointing wide receivers of the year, though.
58:58He is playing a lot. Like when they're in 13 personnel and 12 personnel, everything other than 11 personnel, you look up
59:04and there's Roma Dunze on the field, not Luther burden.
59:08So that's interesting. Like in spite of all these routes, he's running, he's not getting the targets.
59:13Why is that? Michael Wilson's getting the targets, but he's not catching the ball, not scoring fantasy points.
59:19That's the area of the, of the dynasty rankings, the soft area of the dynasty rankings that Matthew golden was able to
59:25push through, but he can't rise above. And now he's going to start to fall back.
59:30It'll be interesting to see. I'd be interested to see a guy like Michael Wilson, who I know to be good at
59:37football, third round pick earning a long-term extension and commitment from the franchise is essentially their second receiver behind Trey McBride gave
59:44them the confidence to move on from Marvin Harrison jr.
59:47But as soon as Marvin Harrison jr gets traded, it's like Michael Wilson just flies right into the teeth of a gauntlet
59:54of a schedule because he gets Dallas this next week.
59:57So this is the week to play Michael Wilson against Dallas, but then they get the Seahawks.
60:03They get the Rams, the chiefs. At some point you were going to want to acquire Michael Wilson, especially if you have
60:09a dynasty team, that's a playoff win. Now dynasty team, let Michael Wilson to continue to flail against the Seahawks and the
60:16Rams, knowing that in the fantasy playoffs, Michael Wilson gets the jets, the saints and the Raiders.
60:22And I know exactly what's going to happen. He is going to shred those teams.
60:26He is going to put up 20 plus fantasy points in multiple games against those teams.
60:31And he will immediately, a month later, start getting faded in best ball leagues for 2027.
60:36And the reason is, is because he made all of his hay during the fantasy playoffs when the schedule was soft.
60:43There's always going to be a narrative waiting and lurking to fade Michael Wilson.
60:47Not so with Matthew Golden, because Matthew Golden was a first round pick with speed.
60:52So any excuse to get behind Matthew Golden, front run Matthew Golden, fantasy analysts will take that.
60:57But they're always there to give you the contrarian anti Michael Wilson fade, sell Michael Wilson position.
61:03And I love being the opposite of the easy stance, right?
61:06Like you're buying a Buka by the injury by Ted Hurst, right?
61:10Think about what's happening in Tampa. They passed on less than 20% of their plays last week.
61:15That's the second lowest in a game in the last 10 years.
61:19So no, I'm not worried that Ted Hurst didn't log a fantasy point.
61:23And thankfully a guy like a Buka, I got to sidestep that game.
61:27He's like, thank God I was injured. You'd have to play me.
61:31Like we all got so lucky. Think about that.
61:33None of us were playing a Buka. I would have played him.
61:37I probably would have got buried because of it.
61:40I probably would have put up, he would have got outscored by Jordan Watkins and Savion Williams.
61:45Probably. But his perception remains intact. It's just that he's injured.
61:49So now is he injury prone? I'm not sure.
61:52When is a Buka going to be officially injury prone?
61:55Is that going to happen soon? Someone let me know when the narrative on a Buka changes and he's injury prone.
62:01I'll buy some more. It's like I'm buying some Ted Hurst.
62:05Perfect time to buy Ted Hurst. And finally, we can't end without just giving a wink and a nod and a tip of the cap.
62:12A wink. I'll give you a wink here and a nod and a tip of the cap.
62:18Tip of the cap. Tip of the cap. To one Michael Penix.
62:22I like Michael Penix. I joke around a lot about Michael Penix.
62:25Comparable to Kenny Pickett. He is moving past that comp.
62:28He's officially moving past the Kenny Pickett comp. What can you say?
62:32What can you say? He is the engine of that franchise now.
62:36He is the reason. Listen, I love that he's left-handed and it doesn't matter.
62:40He's just that much better than Tua. I can't believe all the Tua talk we had to suffer through this offseason.
62:47Not me. Never me. Tua Tungabailoa. And it's five yards per attempt.
62:51Get that out of here. Shoot that quarterback into the sun.
62:54Michael Penix Jr. can sustain drives. Michael Penix Jr.
62:57can push the football out to the perimeter. He took over in week three.
63:01In week three, Atlanta beat Green Bay 35-14. They then beat New Orleans 45-24.
63:06They lost in overtime to Baltimore. They lost a close game to Chicago.
63:10And then they beat the San Francisco 49ers 29-20.
63:12This is the Michael Penix experience. This is the Penix that we've been hoping for.
63:17We wanted to go grab it when it was available on the waiver wire.
63:22And I mean, I think it's some like 10 teams, super flex and two QB leagues.
63:26Michael Penix was available. Shameful. He's just rising and rising and rising.
63:30He's actually fucking me. I'm being fucked by Penix is what's happening.
63:34And I can't lose games in Dynasty where I have them.
63:37And if you remember, I did a trade where I acquired Penix and I acquired Bryce Young and I gave up Lamar
63:44Jackson and I gave up big pieces. And I acquired multiple first rounders.
63:48Huge mega deals in the King's Classic Dynasty League.
63:51And I'm like, well, you know, it's not over yet with Michael Penix.
63:55And it certainly isn't over yet with Bryce Young.
63:58We'll see what happens. I'm going to give these guys a ride.
64:02I'm going to put them in at quarterback and super flex.
64:05We'll see how this team does. I had Ollie Gordon on that team on the bench.
64:10Have Zay traded for Zay Flowers. I needed a loss.
64:13I was going against the other team this week.
64:16I was going against another team that was one in six.
64:20I was one in six. He was one in six.
64:23It was Daniel Dopp from ESPN. We're both one in six.
64:26Both really wanted to get the loss. Set our lineups.
64:29Went to war. And God damn it, Michael Penix fucked me.
64:33Like, he's too good. I was like, listen, it's one thing if I could still lose and secure Jeremiah Smith if it's just Bryce Young at quarterback.
64:41But when it's both Bryce Young and Michael Penix at quarterback and it's super flex, you end up winning too many games.
64:48I'm not going to get Jeremiah Smith in that league.
64:51And I think there's a couple other leagues where I've officially moved into 11th place or 10th place.
64:57Jeremiah Smith is slipping through my hands, through my fingers in almost every Dynasty League.
65:01Because I'm just too damn competitive. Everybody get ready for Seth McGowan to somehow, some way outscore Jeremiah Love this year.
