A.J. Brown

PositiveMatchup0:32

A.J. Brown faces Miami, which has a bottom 10 coverage grade per Pro Football Focus despite allowing a moderate fantasy PPR average driven by game script. The source believes Josh McDaniels and Drake Maye will eventually get Brown going and is still starting him in pretty much any format, expecting an eventual bounce back.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

NegativeMatchup3:36

St. Brown scored 24 PPR fantasy points last week without a touchdown, demonstrating elite production. However, the Week 8 matchup against Minnesota's elite defense—which has wreaked havoc on opposing offenses all year—is the only reason he's not ranked in the top five this week, though he remains a weekend-to-weekend WR1.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeMatchup0:07

Carnell Tate faces an improved Bengals defense in a matchup against Tennessee. The quarterback play in Tennessee is inconsistent enough to make Tate's fantasy output also inconsistent. He is a somewhat shaky start against the Bengals, but the source is still starting him regardless.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveMatchup2:12

CeeDee Lamb is ranked in the top tier for Week 8 after a masterclass performance in Week 7 on Monday Night Football. He faces the Cardinals, whose secondary is incompetent; the source projects he could see a lot of points given the typical high-scoring nature of Cowboys-Cardinals games and recommends him as an absolute smash WR1.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection6:16

Christian Watson deserves wide receiver one treatment regardless of matchup; he has been getting eight targets in all but just one game this year and has been scoring deep touchdowns in almost every game. The source ranks him in the top tier for Week 8 against the Panthers despite Carolina's defense stiffening up.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveProjection24:03

Moore is the source's fourth and final Mount Catchmore pick, projected to go over 50.5 receiving yards. He has not gone under this line in either of the games he actually finished this year. The Ravens defense was just torched by Jamar Chase and Travis Kelce, and as long as Moore is out there and even somewhat healthy, the source expects him to be "cooking" against Baltimore.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveRole18:46

Boston has taken a backseat to fellow rookie Casey Concepcion in Cleveland and now faces reduced volume certainty due to Concepcion's emerging breakout. While Boston retains big-play threat potential, Pittsburgh's defense is not an ideal matchup to bet on that ceiling. The source rates him as a risky flex play that might still be worth it for ceiling upside, but notes he's looked "a little off the last few weeks" and things are "volatile" with him.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveUsage5:42

London has been targeted 31 times over the last three weeks. His success is critically dependent on Michael Penix at quarterback, which is being proven right now. Despite a relatively tough matchup with Tampa Bay on paper, the high target volume supports continued production.

Insight page
PositiveUsage5:42

Drake London has been targeted 31 times in the last three weeks; the source credits Michael Penix's return to the lineup as critical to London's success, and despite a relatively tough matchup with Tampa Bay on paper, the source ranks him in the top 10 for Week 8 based on the duo's recent production. London also finally found the end zone after the source had called for it earlier in the season.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

PositiveProjection23:33

Sampson is the source's third Mount Catchmore pick, projected to go over 11.5 receiving yards. He had 32 receiving yards in his return last week and is the primary third-down back again now that he's healthy. Quinshawn Judkins had 43 receiving yards in Week 4 when the Browns last played the Steelers, and that work could now go to Sampson. The source calls this a "sticky, icky line" but "extremely sharp."

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveBreakout5:07

Wilson is identified as a great buy-low candidate destined to have a blow-up spot soon. With narratives and drama surrounding the Jets compounded by a juicy matchup against the Raiders, this is positioned as that imminent blow-up opportunity.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveMatchup0:01

Pickens is returning to form after an inconsistent start to the season; Monday Night Football showed the full George Pickens experience with insane catches. He draws Arizona, allowing 32.3 PPR points per game to receivers, projecting to be an awesome shootout spot.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveMatchup3:38

Jamar Chase is ranked #5 in the Top 36 WR rankings for Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans. While it has been a quiet year by his standards, he still has three weekly top-12 finishes and maintains his elite upside. The Titans defense ranks bottom-10 in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers, and the source notes that after a big T. Higgins game, it feels like time for a big Jamar Chase game.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveValue8:00

Jalen Coker was named as one of the source's biggest buys on Monday; despite a poor performance against Tampa Bay last week (which the source is burning the tape on), Coker was averaging over 10 targets per game in his three full games prior to Sunday, including a career-high 13 targets in Week 6. The source encourages trusting the process and backing Coker for Thursday night.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveMatchup2:54

Jefferson faces a dream matchup against Detroit, which allows 37.3 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Despite Kyler Murray's poor play limiting Jefferson's production, this is an ideal bounce-back spot for the elite receiver.

Insight page
NegativeRole4:40

Justin Jefferson is mentioned as a top-tier real-life wide receiver in the top-three conversation, but his fantasy performance has been tough this year not because of Jefferson himself but because Kyler Murray has not looked great, suggesting quarterback play is limiting his fantasy upside.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeRole21:07

Allen appears to be the wide receiver one in Indianapolis at this point. However, the source notes this doesn't move the needle much because the Colts' passing attack is "painful to watch." Jacksonville has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, so the matchup is not terrible if desperate for flex depth. The source is not excited about Allen but acknowledges he could work in a pinch.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

PositiveBreakout21:58

Lemon scored his first NFL touchdown in primetime on Monday night with 7 receptions for 67 yards on 8 targets. Washington's pass defense is described as "an absolute mess." If Devonta Smith cannot play again, the source expects Lemon to be "plenty involved" in Week 8. He was debated by the source and co-host right before the show about whether he should be ranked higher than #36.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveInjury7:30

Matthew Golden has a foot injury and shoulder injury and hasn't been practicing yet this week; his status for the weekend is uncertain and needs to be monitored. However, if he does play against the Panthers, the source loves him and notes he has even more targets and receptions than Christian Watson this year, making him a wide receiver one option.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveMatchup0:25

Michael Wilson faces the Dallas Cowboys, an easily exploitable defense. The source rejects the narrative that Wilson is diminished without Marvin Harrison Jr., noting he was the wide receiver two overall in the back half of last year operating as Brissette's wide receiver one. This should be an explosion spot; the source hopes buyers acquired him before this game and would not be shocked if he finished as a literal wide receiver one on the week.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage4:22

Washington has seen 20 targets over his last two games coming off a bye week. Despite being WR19 on the year, the source expects a huge day and a stronger second-half push, noting he has an incredible schedule the rest of the way and this Colts matchup is one of his tougher remaining games.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveProjection0:45

Puka Nakua is ranked #2 in the Top 36 WR rankings for Week 8. Despite not being at 100% health against the Raiders, he saw 10 targets, caught 8 passes for 1 TD. The source projects he will continue to be heavily involved as long as Devontae is out and beyond, recommending him as an elite WR1 with confidence for the rest of the year.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveMatchup8:30

Tee Higgins is coming off an absolutely nuclear performance from last week and is taking on the Titans; the source notes this is a favorable matchup for Cincinnati (as discussed earlier when covering Jamar Chase), positioning Higgins well for Week 8.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeMatchup20:46

Worthy had a rough week against Seattle and faces another tough matchup in Week 8 against Denver Broncos in Denver. The source projects this game with no Rashee Rice; if Rice plays, Worthy is off the board entirely for the top-36 ranking. For now, he's rated as a decent ceiling/low floor play in Week 8.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection2:34

Zay Flowers is ranked in the S-tier for Week 8 after posting 8 catches for 137 yards and 1 TD against Cincinnati, including an insane breakaway first-score touchdown. Despite Baltimore's second-half struggles, Flowers faces a much softer matchup against the Buffalo Bills with Lamar Jackson expected back, making him an easy S-tier start.

Insight page
PositiveProjection22:34

Flowers is the source's first Mount Catchmore pick, projected to go over 71.5 receiving yards in Week 8. He has hit this line in 4 of his 6 games this year. With Lamar Jackson returning, the offense gets a major boost. The matchup against Buffalo's struggling pass defense could be a potential shootout spot.

0:00Welcome into the Lineup Fantasy Football Show. I'm Mitch Anderson.
0:03I'm Justin Melo. And Melo, if you have any start set questions, trade questions or anything else we can answer to help
0:09you win your Week 8 matchup and beyond, let us know down below and we will answer every single comment.
0:14But it's time for our Top 36 wide receivers here in Week 8.
0:18As always, the Lineup is presented by Dabble Fantasy.
0:20Get $20 instantly when you download and sign up for Dabble using the promo code LINEUP and play your first $10.
0:26You can follow us at LineupMitch and copy our picks with one click to sweat every Sunday alongside us.
0:31But let's jump into our Top 36. Who do we have at number one this week?
0:36Jackson Smith and Jigba. He's back at the top here.
0:38We didn't put him at number one last week.
0:41Blasphemous. Blasphemous of us, honestly. We said we would and we went back on our word.
0:45We felt okay though after Puka Nakua had eight catches and a touchdown.
0:49But sure enough, JSN followed it up on Sunday Night Football with a 9 for 150 in one game.
0:54A wide receiver one overall finish on the week.
0:57He has to stay on top of the mountain going forward and we mean it this time.
1:01We mean it. We're serious. We're putting our foot down, fantasy football.
1:05But on to number two, that other guy, Puka Nakua, who should continue to roll here in the Battle of LA taking
1:11on the Chargers, which is literally just the atomic bomb versus coughing baby.
1:14Even when he wasn't at 100% against the Raiders last week, he still sees 10 targets.
1:19Like you mentioned, eight catches and a touchdown. He's going to continue to be heavily involved as long as Devontae's out and obviously even beyond that.
1:26So start him with a ton of confidence as an elite wide receiver one this week and for the rest of the year.
1:32Yeah. And another guy in that boat, CeeDee Lamb, he's playing the Cardinals in week three.
1:36Yet another masterclass performance in week seven on Monday Night Football.
1:39Now he gets those Cardinals who are incompetent in a lot of facets, but certainly they're secondary as well.
1:45Could see a lot of points as we do so often in Cardinals games and as we so often see in Cowboys games as well.
1:51He's an absolute smash wide receiver one. Love it.
1:54On to our next guy, Zay Flowers, who is just truly blooming this year, Mello.
1:58He is that dude. Eight for 137 and a touchdown on that insane breakaway first score against Cincinnati.
2:03Obviously, everything kind of went downhill for Baltimore as a whole in the second half, but you got a much softer matchup here taking on the Buffalo Bills.
2:11You should have Lamar Jackson back. This is an easy S tier guy for us.
2:15I see what you did there. Flowers with the blooming.
2:18Don't think that went unnoticed. Let's move on, though, to Jamar Chase at number five.
2:22He's playing the Tennessee Titans. Feels like it's been kind of a quiet year for him for his standards, but he still
2:28has three weekly top 12 finishes, has just as much upside as ever.
2:31I mean, we've seen year over year the kind of upside that this guy has, and I really like the upside in
2:37this matchup against this Tennessee defense bottom 10 and fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers.
2:42They have not been very good. We just saw a big T Higgins game.
2:46Feels like it's time for a big Jamar Chase game.
2:48Yeah, Jamar. Exactly. It's like maybe he's not the number one wide receiver in fantasy football right now, but he's definitely in
2:54that top three real life wide receivers conversation, which makes him liable to go off any week.
2:59Another guy in that exact same conversation, Melo, is your guy, Justin Jefferson, and it's been tough, not because of Justin Jefferson,
3:05but obviously because Kyler Murray has just not looked great.
3:08And you pointed out when we were watching the games the other day, but it feels like he's putting his entire body
3:14into throwing the ball like 11 yards downfield like it's a shot put.
3:17But that being said, you get an absolutely dream matchup here with Detroit, allowing, again, what feels like an inconceivable amount of
3:23points, 37.3 fancy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
3:26If there's a bounce back spot for Justin Jefferson, it's right here.
3:29And I think this is it. And let's stay in that game for our next guy.
3:34I'm in Ross St. Brown taking on the Vikings.
3:36Sun God was back to his elite self last week when he scored 24 PPR fantasy points without even scoring a touchdown.
3:42That is incredibly impressive. He deserves to be ranked as a top five wide receiver pretty much every week, but maybe not
3:48in week eight when they play this Vikings defense.
3:51That has been wreaking absolute havoc on opposing offenses all year.
3:54The matchup's the only reason we don't have him in the top five, but still he's a weekend and week out wide receiver one.
4:01It's a testament to how great Amin Ra is that he can take on this hellscape of a defense with the Minnesota
4:07Vikings and still be in our top seven guys.
4:09Yep. But before we jump into number eight, if you haven't yet, we would love if you could hit that subscribe button,
4:15hit the bell to be notified every time we drop a brand new episode.
4:19We know about 90% of you guys watching are not yet subscribed.
4:22If you enjoy the content, it means a lot to us and it helps you get the content even faster in your algorithm.
4:29But let's jump into number eight, Mello. And thank God America's national nightmare is over.
4:33Adjust your television sets because Parker Washington is so back.
4:35Taking on the Colts, not the easiest matchup. We've seen 20 targets over his last two games coming fresh off of a bye.
4:42I think we're going to see a huge day out of Parker.
4:45Even after the bye week, he's still the wide receiver 19 on the year.
4:49I think we're going to see an even stronger second half push from Parker, who I've mentioned it ad nauseum.
4:54He's got an incredible schedule the rest of the way.
4:57This is honestly one of his tougher matchups. I'm glad you got to be the one to talk about Parker today.
5:03I felt like you needed that. Let's talk about Garrett Wilson next, though, at number nine.
5:07The Jets are playing the Raiders. On Monday's episode, Mitch, you did say Garrett Wilson is a great by-low candidate who is
5:13destined to have a blow-up spot soon. And with all the narratives and drama coming out of New York compounded with a
5:19very juicy matchup against the Raiders, I think this just might be that blow-up spot.
5:23100%. We just clipped it out. It's on TikTok, Instagram, everywhere.
5:26And we're answering a lot of questions from you guys about what to do with Garrett Wilson right now.
5:32So if you have any Garrett Wilson trade-related questions, leave them down below or on social media.
5:36I'm trying to get to every single one. But let's jump on to number 10 here, and let's talk about Drake London.
5:42Mello, Drake London has been targeted a whopping 31 times in the last three weeks.
5:46You hit the nail on the head this offseason when you pointed out how critical to London's success Michael Penix is, and it's being proven right now.
5:54You've got a relatively tough matchup here with Tampa Bay on paper, but with how good these two have been since Penix
6:00got back into the lineup, I can't leave London out of my top 10.
6:04And he finally found the end zone. We said it was going to happen soon.
6:08Yes, that was the call. That was our dabble call on the show.
6:11Yeah, kudos to us. Let's talk about someone who's catching a lot of touchdowns, and that's Christian Watson.
6:16He's playing the Panthers. Carolina's defense has stiffened up since their tough start to the season, but it's Christian Watson managers who
6:22stiffen up when he inevitably scores a deep touchdown in almost every single game he plays this year.
6:27You could say they stiffen up when he does score the touchdowns, too.
6:31No, that's exactly what I am saying. They stiffen up when he scores touchdowns.
6:35I'm afraid it's not working. It's okay. You know what?
6:38We're just going to pretend that joke wins seamlessly.
6:40It's not just the deep touchdowns, though, for Christian Watson.
6:43He's been getting a lot of volume, eight targets in all but just one game this year.
6:47He deserves wide receiver one treatment pretty much regardless of matchup.
6:50Let's move on to number 12 here. This is going to be the last guy in our A tier.
6:56Ted Arroa McMillan taking on the Green Bay Packers.
6:58Mello, he is currently 14th among all wide receivers in fancy points per game, and yet he has finished as a top 14 receiver one singular time.
7:06Obviously, that being that 45-point explosion that came right after we told everyone to go trade for him, and it's been pretty quiet since.
7:12But Thursday night should be at least a pretty decent spot to get back on track.
7:17Tampa Bay was a complete burn-the-tape kind of game last week.
7:20I'm ignoring it. I view TMAC as a strong 15-18-point PPR kind of guy on Thursday night.
7:24Completely agreed with that. Moving on to 13, though.
7:27So in that same game, we have Matthew Golden playing the Panthers.
7:30Let's start out with just the disclaimer here. We don't know if he'll be active this weekend.
7:35He's banged up foot injury, shoulder injury. He hasn't been practicing yet this week.
7:39Something to continue to monitor. But if he does play, we love him as we do pretty much every single week.
7:44He actually has even more targets and receptions than Christian Watson does this year.
7:48Pretty much regardless of matchup until the Packers revert to being a more run-heavy team with Josh Jacobs, both of these Green
7:54Bay receivers are wide receiver one options for me.
7:57Yeah, totally. On to our next guy, though. We just hit two teammates.
8:00Let's hit the second set of teammates and talk about Jalen Coker.
8:03I named him on Monday as one of my biggest buys.
8:07I already mentioned that we're burning the tape on that Tampa disaster.
8:10And I want everyone to remember that this guy was coming off of a career-high 13 targets in week six, averaging over
8:1610 targets per game in his three full games prior to Sunday against Tampa Bay.
8:20It might make you nervous to trust the process, but we're going back to Coker here.
8:24All right, we got to move off this Thursday night football game.
8:28That's four guys in a row. So let's shift gears.
8:30Four in a row on Thursday night football. Next is T.
8:33Higgins, though, taking on the Titans. He's coming off an absolutely nuclear performance from last week.
8:38We already talked about how favorable of a matchup this is for Cincinnati when we talked about Jamar Chase earlier.
8:43It's still risky because the volume is inconsistent, which is partially why he has two weekly finishes outside of the top 64 receivers this year.
8:50But the upside is firmly there, which makes him a high-end wide receiver two.
8:54Totally. And I guess this B tier is really just the high-end wide receiver twos because we're going to go to George Pickens here.
9:01And on Monday Night Football, George Pickens was just doing George Pickens things.
9:04Insane catches, holding the ball like a loaf of bread.
9:07It was like the full George Pickens experience. And it made me so happy because I think we've all been kind of
9:13watching the beginning of the year being like, this doesn't feel like George Pickens.
9:17And it's looking a little closer to that 2025 version of himself.
9:20Now he draws Arizona, who's allowing 32.3 PPR points per game to receivers.
9:24I think this projects to be an awesome shootout spot that I want as many pieces of as I can get.
9:29Completely agreed. This next one's tough. It's A.J. Brown at Miami.
9:32Mitch, what are we going to do with A.J.
9:35Brown? Another wide receiver too. Yeah. Yeah. We are biased Patriots fans.
9:38So we're choosing to hold on to belief maybe with emotion, but I think it's warranted.
9:43I think he is going to eventually bounce back.
9:45Miami hasn't been terrible against opposing wide receivers from a fantasy football perspective, but a lot of that is game script driven as they're just getting blown out.
9:53They actually have a bottom 10 coverage grade per pro football focus.
9:56So it's not like their secondary is particularly good.
9:59I once again think that Josh McDaniels and Drake may have to go out of their way to try to get A.J.
10:05Brown going, try to get this receiving game going.
10:07I'm still starting him in pretty much any format.
10:10Yeah, I'm totally with you on that. You can't bench A.J.
10:13Brown. Not yet. Literally look at when we were like, let's bench Drake May.
10:16And then he just went off as the quarterback one.
10:19Like it's going to click eventually. But let's jump to our next guy, Michael Wilson, who admittedly might not even be in
10:25this tier if it weren't for the matchup, but this is it taking on the Dallas Cowboys.
10:30This is the bounce back. Michael Wilson is going to melt faces against Dallas.
10:34And I really hope you went out and bought him before this game.
10:37I am not buying the insane narrative that he's not as good without Marvin Harrison Jr.
10:42When he was literally the wide receiver two overall in the back half of last year operating as Brissette's wide receiver one.
10:48Now he gets the easily exploitable Dallas defense. This should be an explosion spot.
10:52It's been tough sledding. So like I said, he stays in this B range for now, but it would not shock me
10:58at all if he finished as a literal wide receiver one on the week.
11:01Go get that man now. It's probably too late to get Carnell Tate, though, our next wide receiver at Cincinnati.
11:07He's here. You missed your window to trade for him.
11:10With that said, the quarterback play is inconsistent enough in Tennessee to make Tate's fantasy output also inconsistent in turn.
11:15He is a somewhat shaky start against this improved Bengals defense, which really has been a lot better than it had been the last couple of years.
11:23I'm still starting Carnell Tate regardless, though. Yeah, you put it so well when we were talking the other day and you
11:29were like, it's so weird to look at the Bengals defense and not just get super fired up about my guy going up against them anymore.
11:36It's a total shift. Yeah, they're hecking actual NFL defense.
11:38But I want to talk about this guy that we're going to break into a little bit in tomorrow's episode.
11:44I'm getting weirdly excited about DJ Moore right now.
11:46And we're expecting to see him back against Baltimore.
11:49This should be an incredible spot for him to get back on track.
11:52We just saw T and Jamar tear apart this Ravens defense.
11:55I didn't mention it earlier when we talked about Jamar and T.
11:59This game is a 53 and a half point total.
12:02These teams should be lighting up the scoreboard. Lots of yards.
12:05Lots of points. I want to see a big week out of DJ before we move a much higher on the list.
12:11But I actually think he is a very rock solid wide receiver, too.
12:14We love our our potential shootout spot. So I completely agree with all that.
12:18Next, though, is Jamison Williams playing the Vikings. Mitch told you all to buy Jamison Williams last week.
12:23And sure enough, he went out and had an absolutely nuclear game against the Packers.
12:27Mitch also traded away Jamison Williams in our league of record last week to the guy I was playing.
12:32So I'm quite upset with Mitchell right now. I have some choice words for him, but I digress.
12:37The Vikings defense is a brutal spot, like I mentioned earlier when I was talking about Amin Ross saying Brown.
12:43So I'm not betting on another huge game for Jamo like we saw last week.
12:47But the ceiling is high enough to consider him a low end wide receiver, too.
12:51As high as I am on Jamison Williams for me to have traded him, that should show you how high I am on Derrick Henry.
12:58So go out and buy yourself some Derrick Henry shares right now.
13:01But let's break into our seats here and talk about Casey Concepcion.
13:04I have been screaming from the rafters. I mentioned him as a buy on our show, a buy twice over three weeks on the Smash Accept show.
13:12And then we finally see Casey explode eight for 129 off of 10 targets.
13:16Could have had an even bigger day if he had hauled in that deep pass that kind of hit him in the hands in the second half.
13:23Tougher matchup with Pittsburgh this week, obviously, but he's got momentum on his side.
13:27Rest of season. I'm so excited. Another guy rest of season I love is Emeka Abuka versus Atlanta.
13:32Totally. I genuinely believe that once we get this guy fully healthy, he's going to be great rest of season.
13:37We just got to get him back healthy. That really has been the barrier.
13:41And Baker is back. So that bodes well for this offense.
13:44As long as he is actually healthy going forward.
13:47We saw the big win they had in week seven.
13:49The only reason I think we have Emeka Abuka even this low is because we just haven't seen it all come together
13:55yet with him healthy and with Baker healthy and the offense clicking.
13:59I think week eight could be the start of that ascension though.
14:02I'm absolutely with you. Let's move on to number 24.
14:05Mello, I'm on an all time horn tooting run this episode.
14:08Let's talk about Luther Burden. Feel free to shut me up and make me talk about Lab McConkie at some point to
14:14remind the people that I'm fully capable of being an absolute idiot.
14:17But Luther Burden was one of my biggest buy calls of the season heading into week six.
14:22Since then, we've seen 17.5 and 23.7 respectively in each of his last two games.
14:26This is a tough matchup with Seattle who just entirely shut down the Chiefs.
14:30So I would say temper your expectations here in week eight, but Burden's been on fire.
14:34The one thing I would say that's been a little bit weird, his snaps have been relatively low and I'm not worried
14:40yet because he's been great, but it does kind of feel like it's requiring him to be like incredibly efficient every week.
14:46Yeah, they need Roma Dunze out there every snap to not do anything.
14:50Of course. So then they can bring Luther Burden in to bail them out and have a really high yards per out run.
14:56Our next guy, though, is DK Metcalf playing the Cleveland Browns.
14:59He didn't have nearly the volume in Paris as he did the prior week against Tampa.
15:04But the good news is that Cleveland's defense has been vulnerable against the past despite being very solid against the run.
15:09Metcalf dropped 115 yards on this defense back in week four, which gives him wide receiver two hopes.
15:14The flex range is where I really feel very confident with him.
15:18I think that's the perfect way to put it.
15:20There's the upside, but like I actually do think he's a pretty strong flex here.
15:24Let's move on to number 26 and talk about Stefan Diggs.
15:27Mello here, I'll give you a little bit of praise.
15:30You've talked about Stefan Diggs a lot and obviously like the Terry McLaurin injury you couldn't have predicted, but nonetheless, he's in
15:36a much better spot trade value wise and production wise than he was a few weeks ago.
15:41You look at how bad this Philadelphia defense is, man.
15:43Like what Dak Prescott just did to them on Monday Night Football.
15:47The volume that Diggs should be in line for with McLaurin out for the season.
15:51He is a great low price buy for me at the moment.
15:54I like him a lot in this matchup. 15 plus PPR points in three of his last six games.
15:59He's not getting talked about enough as a back half of the year league winner kind of guy.
16:04I think he's an absolute league winner. Could he?
16:07I don't think there's a bigger gap in theoretical talent and production with a secondary than there is with the Eagles with Cooper Dejean struggling.
16:14And I mean, they have a deep group, Rick Willen, who they brought in struggling.
16:18So really interesting there in Philly. But let's move on to Jeremy Bernard at 27.
16:22I just talked about Metcalf in that same game against the Browns.
16:25And like Metcalf, Bernard also saw far less volume against the Saints as he did the prior week.
16:30And also like Metcalf, the matchup against Cleveland is a solid one where Bernard could bounce back, even if it's a little
16:36bit of a riskier play, just because the volume isn't as safe as we thought it might be based on the game a couple of weeks ago.
16:44On to number 28. Let's talk about Trey Tucker taking on the New York Jets.
16:48I mean, I feel like we've talked a little bit about this side of the ball with Garrett Wilson, and we'll talk
16:54a little bit about Omar Cooper Jr. in a second.
16:56Like we've talked so much about the Jets side of this.
16:59Let's talk about Trey Tucker, who's been absolutely exploding.
17:02We always make the joke that Brock Bowers is the wide receiver one in Las Vegas.
17:06Is Trey Tucker actually the wide receiver one in Las Vegas?
17:09I feel like as someone who's disrespected him, I want to put some respect on his name.
17:14Not the easiest matchup, but definitely one he could exploit.
17:17And I think he's absolutely a flex start this week.
17:19He's been incredible the last couple of weeks. It's like you're kind of forced to start him.
17:24But now that you talked about the Raiders side, let's go back to the Jets side and talk about Omar Cooper Jr.
17:30in that same game this week. How about two big games in a row for the first round rookie?
17:35We do think this is probably going to be a spot where Garrett Wilson reclaims the top of the mountain in the Jets receiving core.
17:42And he's the more productive one between the two.
17:45But it's still a great matchup against the Raiders defense with the single lowest coverage grade per pro football focus.
17:50Yeah, this this is a great, great spot for Omar Cooper Jr.
17:54To as excited as I am about Garrett Wilson.
17:56All right, Melo. I have just been tooting my own horn, patting my back all episode.
18:00Time for me to feel like a dummy in a dunce and talk about this guy.
18:05The reverse horn tooting for Lad McConkie. The torn hooting, if you will.
18:08Well, Lad McConkie undoubtedly our miss of the year, and I don't think it gets any better here against the Rams.
18:14I think he himself has looked OK, but between the injuries, the diarrhea of an offensive system that Mike McDaniel is running, the disaster QB playoff, Justin Herbert.
18:22I just have a hard time viewing him as any more of a risky flex guy until he, Herbert or McDaniel slash
18:28Adam Gase gives me a reason to believe otherwise.
18:30Yeah, he's just so injured, too. It's like I think he's had 14 different things on the injury report this year.
18:36It's just brutal. Glass, glass skin and paper bones.
18:39No, something like that. I don't know. Maybe, maybe that, too.
18:42I mean, who knows at this point? Our next guy is Denzel Boston at Pittsburgh.
18:46He's really taken a backseat to his fellow rookie, Casey Concepcion and Cleveland.
18:49But Boston still does have that great big play threat potential.
18:52It's just that Pittsburgh defense is not really the best spot to bet on a big play for Denzel Boston.
18:58And now he has less certain volume because of this breakout we're starting to see from Casey Concepcion.
19:03So he's sort of a risky flex play at this point to me, but one that still might be worth it for the ceiling.
19:09Yeah, he's looked a little off the last few weeks.
19:12I think he's going to be fine, but I think you put it exactly right.
19:16I think things are just like a little volatile with Denzel Boston.
19:19On to number 32, though. If you caught us on Joe Pizapia's show this morning, we talked a little bit about Jalen
19:25Waddell and that should be out on Fandom NFL.
19:28Make sure to go check that out and subscribe to Joe.
19:31He's the best. I mentioned that I don't completely hate Jalen Waddell rest of season, but I do hate him here for being honest.
19:38This is a brutal matchup with Kansas City. He's bound to spend half the game in the blue tent or in the locker room.
19:44He's a stash to me for the rest of the season.
19:47Stash, hold, keep him on the bench. Same as Ladd McConkie, where I guess you can flex him if you're kind of
19:53like in need and hoping for a touchdown, a big play.
19:56Otherwise, I'd rather wait and see with this guy.
19:59Certainly an F tier guy, which is just so sad.
20:01So sad. Staying in this tier is Jacoby Myers next, taking on the Colts.
20:05One of my 2026 my guys. We talked about being embarrassed about liking Ladd.
20:09I'll put my hand up. Jacoby Myers has not been my guy worthy in hindsight, but he has cemented himself as the
20:15clear wide receiver two in this explosive Jacksonville offense.
20:18So that alone makes him a potential flex option against Indy here in week eight.
20:22Yeah, I don't love the matchup, but like I will say as someone who has them on one or two teams, like it's gotten better.
20:29And I think we're going to and I've talked about this with Parker all the time.
20:33Like, I think we're going to see a really good schedule down the stretch.
20:37Like Jacoby Myers to me is like a very sneaky, quiet trade target that you don't have to pay a whole lot for.
20:43But on to our next F guy. Let's talk about Xavier Worthy.
20:46Rough week for him against Seattle. Another tough matchup this week, of course, with the Denver Broncos in Denver.
20:52We're projecting this to be with no Rishi Rice.
20:54If Rice does play, then Worthy's off my board entirely when we look at this top 36.
20:59But for right now, he's one of those decent ceiling kind of low floor plays in week eight.
21:04Yeah, I completely agree with all of that. Moving on to 35.
21:07It's Keenan Allen at Jacksonville. Keenan Allen, like sneaky, kind of just appears to be the wide receiver one in Indy at this point.
21:14The bad news is it doesn't move the needle very much because the Colts passing attack or lack thereof, I should say, is just painful to watch.
21:21Jacksonville has allowed the fifth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, though.
21:25So the matchup's maybe not that bad if you're really desperate in your flex spot and you're in a pinch with the buys and injuries.
21:32It's just not something that really excites me. Yeah, I feel like Jacksonville is such a weird one that they just don't
21:38feel like they should be such a plus matchup for fantasy wide receivers.
21:41But like they actually really are. It's crazy. Fifth most fantasy points.
21:44But on to number 36. This is a guy that right before the show, Melo and I were like going back and
21:50forth like should this guy be higher? We're going to leave him here for right now.
21:55We're going to wrap it up with our guy, Makai.
21:58Big Monday night for us Lemonheads, Melo, as he scored his first NFL touchdown in primetime.
22:02Seven for 67 off of eight targets as well.
22:04Washington Commander's pass defense is an absolute mess. If Devonta can't go again, I'd expect Makai Lemon to be plenty involved here.
22:11But before we get out of here, let's jump into our week eight Mount Catchmore.
22:15It's time to name our four favorite plays. Our Mount Catchmore, if you will, of the guys that we predict to catch
22:21more yards receiving than projected on Dabble right now.
22:23Melo, give me your first guy. Let's go with Zay Flowers.
22:26Over 71 and a half receiving yards. He's already hit on this line four of his six games this year.
22:32Now he gets Lamar Jackson back, which obviously is a really big boost to this whole offense.
22:36Could be a potential shootout spot against the Bills defense that has struggled so far this season.
22:41Let's talk about the Patriots' new exciting dynamic pass catcher that they added this offseason.
22:45Eli Raritan going over 20 and a half yards.
22:48I think he's built a very clear rapport with Drake May.
22:51He's beat this line in three of his last five contests, 12 targets in the last three games, and Miami is getting gashed by tight ends.
22:58I think he's hitting this in the first half.
23:00Well, you brought a tight end, so let me bring a running back.
23:04Dylan Sampson, over 11 and a half receiving yards.
23:06Sampson had 32 receiving yards in his return last week and seems to be the primary third down back again now that he's healthy.
23:13Quinshawn Judkins had 43 receiving yards in week four when the Browns played the Steelers last time.
23:17And that work could be going to Dylan Sampson now.
23:20Yeah, that's like a sticky, icky line, but I think it's extremely sharp.
23:24I love that pick. On to our last guy.
23:26I mentioned him earlier. Let's talk about DJ Moore going over 50 and a half yards.
23:31This is a 53 and a half point total in this one.
23:34DJ Moore has not gone under this line in either of the games that he's actually finished this year.
23:39We just saw what Jamar and T did to this Ravens defense.
23:42As long as DJ's out there and even somewhat healthy, he's going to be cooking against Baltimore.
23:47But those were our four favorite plays of the week presented by Dabble.
23:51If you want to play with us, sign up for Dabble using the promo code LINEUP in the description.
23:56You'll get $20 when you play your first 10.
23:58And of course, those were our top 36 wide receivers heading into week eight.
24:02Any start set questions, trade questions, or anything we can answer to help you win your week eight matchup and beyond, let us know down below.
24:09But Mello, as always, before we get out of here, did we miss anything?
24:13Did we got it all? All right. We'll catch you guys tomorrow for a brand new episode.
