0:00Obviously, we'd all love to draft Jameer Gibbs and Jamar Chase.
0:03But who are the guys that aren't getting talked about enough that could win you a Fantasy Football Championship?
0:08We're about to go through 6 League Winners for Fantasy Football in 2026.
0:12Let's go. Welcome into the The Lineup Show. I'm Mitch Anderson.
0:15I'm Justin Mello. And Mello, we are joined by a very, very, very, very returning special returning guest today, Danny from Fantasy Stock Exchange.
0:21We are so pumped to have you back to discuss six of our Fantasy Football League winners.
0:26What's going on, Danny? Not much. I mean, when you guys mentioned it was a League Winners video, I'm like, I gotta get back on it.
0:33If you guys don't know, my brand is basically just talking about the guys I love and let's just say I got
0:39two guys I love on this video. Let's go.
0:42We're not just talking about the guys we love.
0:44We're talking about the guys you are gonna love when you draft them and they help you win your league.
0:50So Danny, let's get into this first guy that you're loving in drafts this year.
0:54Yeah. And we'll start off. Last time I was on the channel, actually, Mello brought him up in the Dynasty cycle.
1:00And let's just say, if you invested him in Dynasty at that time, he has gone up tremendously in value.
1:05I'm talking about Basial Tootin, running back of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
1:08And I get it. It's very much of a projection to say that he's going to be an RB1 in Fantasy this year.
1:15Like people will just look at the base metrics in 2025.
1:18Oh, he was inefficient on his 80 carries. Oh, he wasn't making people miss.
1:21It's like he was playing the short yardage role of the team.
1:25Travis Etienne was the RB1 last year. When this regime was hired last year, their entire pitch to management was 2026 and on.
1:31This is what we envision of our run game.
1:34And Tootin is going to be the centerpiece. And it makes sense, man.
1:37When you see a guy like Basial Tootin, the yards after contact metrics in his last year at Virginia Tech, his overall
1:43receiving profile coming out of Virginia Tech, I mean, just in general, you're getting a 205 pound talented running back that has 4.3 level speed.
1:50And I get it. He's climbing an ADP. Like people aren't going to watch this video and think, oh, well, I'm going to get him in round seven.
1:58Like, no, if you want him now, you're probably having to go into round five, having to go on that 4.5 turn.
2:04But my argument is that is still too cheap.
2:06I'd be willing to take this guy at the 3-4 turnabout.
2:09He's currently my 41st ranked player. So early fourth round, give or take.
2:13And to me, when I'm looking at it, it's very simple.
2:16Chris Rodriguez, he's just a jag, no pun intended.
2:18He has six career receptions, less than 250 career touches.
2:21And sure, maybe he's a banger. He steals eight to 10 carries per game.
2:25Like he should have a role early season once he's back from that foot injury.
2:29But that is key context. First day of camp, this guy gets offseason foot surgery.
2:33And everything we have heard from Jaguars camp has pointed to Toodin being the winner.
2:37They love how he looks. Explosive plays every single day at practice.
2:41And ultimately, if I'm going to be making a bet on who can be the three down workhorse for what I project
2:47to be a top five to 10 offense in the league, like I do with the Jacksonville Jaguars, I am doing it with Basial Toodin.
2:54Think Bucky Irving on steroids. Oh, I love that comp right there.
2:57Yeah, this is a guy, like you said, Melo brought him up the last time we all spoke and he has just
3:03gone up my board even more somehow. All of the buzz coming out.
3:07And meanwhile, I feel like every piece of buzz that comes out of training camp has been out of Jacksonville somehow.
3:12But that being said, the Basial Toodin train, it's left the station and it's off the rails right now at the hype.
3:18And I'm buying in. I mean, like you said, yeah, you can point to, I believe it was 3.7 a carry last
3:24year, but they were using him in so many short yardage situations.
3:28Chris Rodriguez, yes, he was effective in Washington last year, but this is a guy that this regime went out and got
3:34one of James Gladstone's first picks last year. And to me, I think he is such an unbelievably screaming value that isn't
3:40flying up your redraft boards just because of the fact that like a lot of your friends and people who are like,
3:46aren't so into fantasy football don't really know Basial Toodin yet.
3:49I think the tired take, and I'm a numbers guy.
3:52I love metrics. I love stats. The tired take is 3.7.
3:55Some of the efficiency metrics weren't there. The wire take is watch him play.
3:59And you just know that boy's a dog. Like he took a screen to the wrong side of the field last year
4:05and still scored like a 12 year touchdown on it.
4:07When his entire offensive line ran the other way, he just missed like three guys missed.
4:12But more than that, I just like this offense that he's in and the opportunity you talk about with Chris Rodriguez still
4:18not being healthy and him truly being the guy in this offense when like the Bucky Irving comp is perfect.
4:23Like Liam Cohen, day three running back with Bucky Irving, you had this huge explosion as a rookie for Bucky.
4:29You can see it from Tootin here in year two.
4:32And if you want to like truly make a league winning pick and you don't want just the safe guy, you want
4:38the guy who could have a top 10 finish at a discount.
4:41Tootin is your guy. Exactly. Ultimately, I like the dead zone this year specifically because there's profiles like Tootin in the dead zone.
4:47Typically speaking, when running backs were going, you know, 22 in the first 30 picks in 2020, that's why the dead zone was the thing.
4:54Nowadays, when it's so scarce at the top, you're only seeing 15 to 17 running backs going early.
4:59To me, Tootin is the best lottery ticket outside of that range because realistically, we talked about the Irving comp.
5:05Let me point to you another day three running back with big time tangible traits who was behind an incumbent workload or workhorse the year prior.
5:12That guy leaves and he assumed the next workload.
5:14And it's funny because there's a lot of parallels here.
5:17Again, there's a difference in cost. I feel like the market's gotten sharper, but like Chris Rodriguez, Zach Moss was a pest.
5:23Like Bachel Tootin, Chase Brown, not the most efficient rookie year.
5:26Look what he did in year two. The offense is to the parallel.
5:30I mean, we're, we're statting out these Jags receivers and Trevor Lawrence, like they're Joe Burrow and the Bengals receivers.
5:35Like if you really believe in this offense like that, you also want the running back similar to Chase Brown.
5:41I'm going to pivot here though, to a tight end.
5:43And I'm going to be talking about somebody I love dearly.
5:46And that is Tucker craft. Oh, I've, I've been so adamant all off season and most years I'm, I'm pretty adamant, but
5:53especially this year, I'm like, take a tight end high, take one of the first two or three.
5:57And if you don't get one, just pump the position.
6:00Like there's not real difference makers in the middle rounds, but Tucker craft is the exception to that rule though.
6:06He is far too cheap in my eyes. He's falling to the late six right now, despite being the tight end one
6:12in points per game through week eight last year, before he tore his ACL and people continue to sleep on just how
6:18talented he is with the ball in his hands.
6:20Uptight ends with at least 25 receptions last year.
6:23He led the NFL in both yards per reception, as well as yards after catch per reception.
6:27And last year was not just a fluke either because in 2024, he also led all tight ends with at least 25
6:34receptions and yards after the catch per reception and was second in yards per reception only to George Kittle, which I think
6:40is too perfect because Tucker craft truly in my mind is the new George Kittle.
6:44Yeah. I think he will be for years to come stylistically.
6:47I think hopefully statistically you're going to see that same type of production.
6:50And just to make things a little bit better, the Packers let their target leader from a year ago, Romeo Dobbs walking
6:56free agency creates even more opportunity in this offense who didn't really bring in any other notable pass catchers this off season
7:02either to take away some of that workload. So all of this just leaves the one elephant in the room for me, which is the aforementioned ACL injury.
7:10All the early indications have been that he has looked great and craft himself said about his doctor.
7:15He told me my knees look spectacular, almost like he had never seen a rehabilitation like mine.
7:20I think everyone online, including myself read that in a Trump voice in their head.
7:24Yeah. I just heard that in a Trump voice, but that's neither here nor there.
7:28Cause the point is craft is trending toward being a hundred percent for the start of the season, which means his current ADP is absolute theft.
7:35If you were perfectly healthy, if that ACL had never happened, he'd be going a full two or three rounds earlier.
7:41No, a lot of people are saying and sound the alarms.
7:44He might just be ahead with an NFL player before.
7:47We've never heard an NFL player. We've never seen this.
7:49Yeah. I mean, Tucker craft was my true love last year in the flock league.
7:54Famously, I had the craft Loveland combo, which would have worked out tremendously if the rest of my team didn't go down
8:00like the plague, but including Tucker craft for that matter.
8:02But yeah, yards after catch ability. The one thing I've also cited this off season on our channel is the fact that
8:08I think green Bay might just throw the football more like Micah Parsons for six weeks, probably not going to be fully healthy.
8:15I mean, that's even if he plays in the first six weeks, there's a tweet that came out that he's expecting to
8:21miss the first month and a half on top of that, Josh Jacobs, the legal issues, Jordan love.
8:26We know he's one of the most talented passers in the league.
8:29If he got more volume, I truthfully do believe that this offense is more so at the 34 to 35 attempt per
8:35game, as opposed to the 29, 30 attempt per game type of range.
8:39All of a sudden, maybe you make the case that craft isn't quite as efficient as he was after the catch last year.
8:45The offense is throwing the football more that more than makes up for it.
8:49Yeah. And I think something that's so interesting with Tucker craft is so many people are ranking Tyler Warren above him.
8:55And with Warren, I think the big argument is, okay, stepping into year two and you've got all these vacated targets from Michael Pittman.
9:01If we see Alec Pierce miss time, that's even more vacated targets, but Mello, you brought it up.
9:06It's like, we let Romeo Doves walk and we let Dontavian Wicks walk.
9:10And so after that, we vacate all these targets, but you're adding that on top of a guy who was already the
9:16tight end one in points per game last year, not just a guy we're projecting to break out.
9:21And so for me, I think he's such an unbelievably tremendous value.
9:24I, every best ball draft I've been doing on underdog.
9:27I feel like my exposure for Tucker craft has to be like 92%.
9:30Yeah. Uh, free click and what 82, 85 overall, I think his ADP is.
9:34Yeah. Oh yeah. I can't get enough. Cannot get enough.
9:37Let's move on to a guy that I cannot get enough of honestly, since this past January, let's talk some Parker Washington, the man on the wall.
9:45It's been a minute since I truly deep dived on Parker Washington.
9:48And I want to dig past the fact that Liam Cohen can't stop talking about him, that his teammates can't stop hyping
9:54him up, that he's the first one in last one out of the building every day, constantly making plays at training camp.
10:00I'm actually going to ignore all of that and just get into the numbers from last season on why I'm chopping wood and carrying water all August long.
10:08And my exposures for Parker Washington are at 111%.
10:10So a lot of people talking about this incoming breakout that already happened.
10:14He was pro football focuses 11th highest grade receiver in the entire NFL last season.
10:18He led this Jaguars team and targets from week nine on, he was the wide receiver 16.
10:22He was the wide receiver six in the fantasy playoffs, wide receiver three in week 16, 17 player profiler has an awesome
10:29metric called the explosive rating that measures a player's explosiveness, factoring in per play efficiency with total volume of explosive plays created.
10:35Parker Washington ranked fourth in the entire NFL. And so now we're seeing all of this incredible camp buzz around an exciting
10:41player, but to me it's camp buzz supporting an incredible player that we already saw last season.
10:45And so the Martians got the laser beam pointed on earth.
10:48I want Parker Washington. Shout out Max Kellerman for that one.
10:51Shout out. We might be the unofficial Jaguars podcast at this point.
10:55Danny, I think the last time we had you on, we talked up Trevor Lawrence too.
10:59We're talking up all these Jaguars. Can't stop. I think Yappabo Travis Hunter for 50 minutes if I want to as well.
11:05I think the point here is just, I want pieces of this offense, right?
11:09Like I just want somebody and Mitch, I'm in, I mean, I'm not in your boat to the point where like, I
11:15have like a Parker Washington content addiction, but I do like Parker Washington a lot.
11:19And I think he's somebody who's really starting to gain a lot of respect in the broader fantasy community as well.
11:25He's somebody I'm drafting a lot of, but like, honestly, even if you're a Brian Thomas guy, cause you believe in the
11:31town, what we saw as rookie draft capital. Like I think a big part of the reason we're talking about these Jags
11:37players is we just like this environment and we'd like their odds to put up a ton of yards, score a ton of points.
11:44I want pieces of it. And if Parker Washington's the guy that is going behind Brian Thomas, like, yeah, I do.
11:49I am very interested in that. Yeah. Initially this off season, I was a little bit lower on Parker Washington.
11:55I was like, well, if I'm high on Hunter, I'm high on Brian Thomas jr.
11:59I kind of had to like equate it out of my head.
12:02But honestly, that negativity has more so just now been on Jacoby Myers.
12:06It's like, I'm going to be the Hunter stand.
12:08I can't ignore this Washington buzz. And I think Brian Thomas jr.
12:12is closer to the player in year one than he was in year two.
12:16Cause realistically, I mean, the tea leaves are reading to the fact that Parker Washington is very valuable in this offense.
12:21Like you mentioned in terms of the PFF grade, in terms of how he's used down the stretch, he has been the
12:27clear winner at receiver in the Jaguars camp. I mean, we look at how we ended the year 41 targets in those
12:33final four games, 19 plus PPR points in each of those four games, including the playoff game.
12:38And on top of that, we're hearing reports that he's going to remain on the field.
12:4311 personnel, 12 personnel, 13 personnel. Like that was my major question mark.
12:46Cause I'm like, if we're jotting out the pure outside receivers on the Jaguars, to me, it would have been going into
12:52the off season, BTJ at the X, Travis Hunter slash Jacoby at the Z.
12:56And then you got Parker Washington operating the slot.
12:59But if it sounds like he's going to be on the field in two receiver sets, get some snaps in one wide
13:05receiver sets, then all of a sudden you have all the opportunity in the world to produce.
13:09So again, I've been very bullish on BTJ. I have him like, I think wide receiver 26 in my rankings, 31 ADP,
13:15but I since moved Parker Washington to my 76th ranked player.
13:18I'll turn this into a daily double too. I mean, we're talking about, I love Brian Thomas Jr.
13:23And you're so excited about Travis Hunter and Jacoby Myers is still going to have his role here in Jackson.
13:29Go draft Lawrence. Go draft Trevor Lawrence. Exactly. Trevor Lawrence, we're statting him out.
13:33We always joke about this. We're statting him to have 70 touchdowns and 8,000 yards.
13:37So maybe you should just get Trevor Lawrence too.
13:39Yeah. Been loving my Jaguar stacks and best ball.
13:42He's playing the Joe Burrow role in that Bengals team.
13:44And Parker Washington is of course Jamar Chase. Yeah, absolutely.
13:47What's going on guys. We are officially partnered with underdog here in August for fantasy football draft season.
13:52If you've never used underdog before, and you want to do some fantasy drafts with me and mellow, you can actually sign
13:58up right now with a brand new promo using the code lineup, L I N E U P basically just deposit and play with $5.
14:05And underdog is going to give you $50 in bonus entries that you can use on picks drafts or anything in the underdog app.
14:12So you can either go into the description, hit the card above, or just download the underdog app and use the code
14:18lineup deposit and play $5 and you will get $50 in bonus entries from underdog.
14:22But guys, let's get back to the video. All right, Danny, you ready for your next one?
14:27Yeah. So I'll just go straight into my second player talking about two young, talented running backs.
14:31The second one being a guy that quite frankly, I think has been out of sight out of mind.
14:37People will cite to the fact that he only has nine carries in his NFL career, but let's not just forget how
14:43good of a prospect Jonathan Brooks was like this was a legitimate earning, but running back prospect coming out of Texas over four yards after contact per attempt.
14:50He clearly, in my opinion, was a really good running back prospect.
14:54I mean, they traded up into the top 50 to get him.
14:57He was the RB one off the board that year and the only running back that went inside of the second round.
15:03And when I'm looking at this situation, ultimately what it stems back to is that I think Chuba Hubbard is one of
15:09the most replaceable running backs in the league. It looks like the team wants him to win the job because quite frankly,
15:15yeah, Chuba Hubbard fell with some injuries last year, but was struggling even prior to the injury.
15:20And when you look at his 2025 season, he ranked 47th of 49 running backs and yards after contact per attempt.
15:25And he was dead last in explosive runs. At the end of the day, our job in fantasy football is to dictate
15:32what the ambiguous backfields are and ultimately what the ceiling is in those backfields.
15:35We know Carolina wants to run the football. We know they produce productive running backs in the past.
15:40And if quite frankly, Jonathan Brooks can just be the lead RB one, he doesn't even have to be an 80% opportunity player.
15:47But I think that can actually happen because my call for him was Aaron Jones.
15:51If you plugged in 215 pound Aaron Jones with Dave Canales, with that offensive line, with that run scheme, dude, I think
15:57we're talking about a potential top 15 running back and you're getting them as like the RB 30 off the board.
16:03Yeah. We, we actually just had a chance to talk about him a little bit with Derek Brown from fantasy pros.
16:08And one of the stats that blew my mind, you just hit on it, the explosive run rate.
16:13He had 134 carries last year and zero explosive runs.
16:16Um, he was also 79th in the NFL and EPA per rush.
16:19And Melo, you talked about this, but like, we're just, we're drafting the guy at his floor right now.
16:25Jonathan Brooks, there's so much opportunity in front of him.
16:27And he's been skyrocketing too. Like two months ago, it was criminal.
16:31Like it was like free money to just grab Jonathan Brooks.
16:34People are catching up now. My CLV man, closing live values going crazy.
16:37That's paying off mortgages. 27% at 119 average ADP, by the way.
16:41Wow. Like that was just ridiculous. You see, I mean, he is going in some places now, I think we just hit
16:47the breaking point where he's actually passed Chuba on some platforms right now.
16:50Yeah. ADP. But like, I don't think that's necessarily wrong.
16:53I think he is when healthy, if healthy back to his collegiate form, the better player than Chuba Hubbard.
16:58And last year is probably better evidence of that than anything.
17:01It's just a matter of how big of a role will he have?
17:05Will he be the true starter? I think there's a good chance he isn't.
17:09If he is, he's still a value despite his skyrocketing ADP.
17:12I couldn't agree more. I think he is just the, the upside is so undeniable and the perfect guy for the exercise
17:18of like who could actually win you your league.
17:20Yeah. And ultimately we have the precedent before, like the two years Dave Canales has been the head coach at Carolina, uh,
17:26shout out Ryan Heath for the stat. He actually tweeted this out a couple of weeks ago, but weeks one to three,
17:322024 Chuba Hubbard, Miles Sanders were the main two in the backfield.
17:36Chuba Hubbard completely outplayed Miles Sanders 5.19 yards per carry on only a 60% design carry share versus 3.11 yards per carry
17:42from Sanders on a 31% design carry share for the rest of the season.
17:46Hubbard grew to an 81% design carry share. Canales saw that Hubbard was the better running back in the backfield and rewarded him with the work.
17:53Now we fast forward to 2025 weeks, one to six.
17:55Obviously I mentioned Chuba Hubbard really struggling dealing with the injury.
17:58Rico Dowdle comes in 5.83 yards per carry, but only a 31% design carry share in those first six weeks.
18:04What happens to that for the rest of the season?
18:07It jumps to 61%. Ultimately to me, the bet is just simply on the fact that if you think Brooks is that
18:13top 50 town is that guy that he was at Texas can get over it from a health perspective.
18:18Do you think he can outplay Chuba Hubbard in the first four weeks?
18:22And if the answer is yes, this is a running back you need to be drafting.
18:26Well, I do love drafting me some Jonathan Brooks.
18:28I have another running back here I want to talk about.
18:32It was going in a similar range a little bit later.
18:35I think most places now far less sexy, but I still just can't resist the urge to draft Rashad White right now.
18:41And I'd never really been a huge Rashad White guy throughout his whole career.
18:44I'd been almost like kind of anti Rashad White.
18:47So I'm kind of surprised that I'm in, but I just can't take all the disrespect that he's getting right now.
18:53He's being drafted as the RB 39 off the board, often falling into the 10th round of 12 team leagues.
18:58And it doesn't make sense for me for somebody who I project to be the starter on a good offense.
19:04And part of it is of course, while the believers are a dying breed, they still do exist and they have hope
19:10for JCM to be the guy in this backfield.
19:12But my problem is he had every opportunity just a year ago to take this job from Chris Rodriguez, who Dana, you
19:18just reminded us is not very good. And Jeremy McNichols, who was getting involved and Bill failed to really become the true
19:24starter, the true workhorse in this offense. He was the running back 43 and points per game, which frankly is just unstartable
19:30regardless of what formatting format you're playing in. So despite the disrespect, we've seen it from Rashad White before, which is really the big difference.
19:37When Bucky Irvin went down last year, White finished as an RB one in both of the very new, the very next
19:43two games where he actually got a full workload.
19:46And it wasn't just two games last year. We've seen it on a season long basis before people are very quick to
19:52forget that Rashad White was the RB four overall in PPR just three years ago.
19:56That's right. Rashad White finished the entire season as the running back four overall.
20:00And I know what you're thinking, Melo. That was three years ago.
20:03He sucks now. He had pro football focuses fifth highest run grade just last season and know how that is just run
20:09grade because some people think he is strictly a third down pass catching back.
20:13And then that's all he's going to do here in Washington.
20:16The tape from a season ago begs to differ no matter how many times you want to call him slow and unathletic.
20:22Even though I'm talking about how he can run, I'm not mad that he's known as a pass catcher too, because it
20:28doesn't hurt to be a pass catcher on this offense that is desperate for target earners behind Terry McLaurin.
20:33And by the way, Rashad White has a report with Jaden Dales already from their days at Arizona State.
20:39So while I don't think Rashad White has this top 10 running back upside, like we talk about with a guy like
20:45Jonathan Brooks at his cost, I think he could be league winning in the sense that he could be an every week
20:51type of starter in your lineup as long as he actually takes control of this backfield.
20:55Schoolhouse Rock tried to tell us 50 years ago, Mello, that JCM is just a bill.
21:00And that's about it. Rashad White has so much going for him.
21:03And I'm actually so tired of the disrespect. So much so that that stat you brought up about how he was the
21:09RB for three years ago, I only found that as like a hate stat for Brees Hall when I was trying to make an argument against you.
21:16And I was like, wow, yeah, it's actually pretty impressive that Rashad White's been very relevant for the past few years.
21:22He's still extremely talented. And what he's actually been missing is a true opportunity.
21:26And that's exactly what he's getting here in Washington.
21:28Yeah, this is one of my favorite clicks on the board.
21:32Realistically, if you need running back production and you get into round eight, round nine, round 10, like straight up, I prefer
21:38guys like Rashad White and Jordan Mason ahead of just the Ramondre Stevenson types, ahead of just the RJ Harvey types.
21:43Like to me, it almost should be flipped at where those guys go on the board.
21:48Yeah. RJ Harvey's that's a guy that I think I feel so good about so many of my calls earlier in the summer and in the spring.
21:55I think RJ Harvey is one of those guys that I'm thinking is one of my misses and that I'm not really
22:01feeling too excited about his role here in his sophomore season.
22:04I would entirely agree with that. I'd much rather have Rashad White right now.
22:08Yeah. Like the receiving profile on top of that.
22:11Yeah. Sure. We're expecting them to sign a Stefan digs.
22:13First of all, even if they do sign digs, we know Rashad White's going to get third down snaps long down a distance.
22:20Now it's a very, very good in pass, bro.
22:22Very tough on the goal line. Like he's shown that he can handle the consequential touches of a team.
22:27Like you said, RB for three years ago. So ultimately when I'm comparing him versus more of an explosive, exciting compliment back
22:33like Bill, again, I liked Katron now on the prospect, but admittedly, he fell in the NFL draft.
22:38He's probably more so going to be a mid to late season play.
22:42Even if you draft Rashad White, if he starts extremely strong, you could use him in a trade up to, to eventually consolidate.
22:48A hundred percent. You know, if he's on the field, the vast majority of the snaps for Washington, or if he gets 15, 16 opportunities week one.
22:56Yeah. If nothing else, that's a trade shit because people are going to see that volume and be like, all right, I want him.
23:02Amen. That can just be so valuable. All right, let's move on to our final guy.
23:07But before we do, if you haven't yet, please hit that subscribe button.
23:10We've got some unbelievable content coming out all August long, more incredible guests.
23:14And of course, go subscribe to fancy stock exchange with Danny and Corey.
23:17But guys, let's talk about this last man who, if I went into a draft and I get this guy first, and
23:24then I get Parker Washington, I'm going to do unspeakable things.
23:27And that is Ladd McConkie. First of all, congratulations to him on being a father.
23:31We all know that the baby bump is worth at least one touchdown in week one.
23:35But for me, the hype doesn't stop there. Daniel Popper, senior writer for the athletic who covers the chargers has likened his
23:41role to that of Tyree kill and Jalen Waddle in the Mike McDaniel offense.
23:45He's also unsurprisingly been lighting it up so far in training camp.
23:48But Mitch, I drafted Ladd McConkie last year in the second round, and he was a disaster, which I will agree with.
23:54Unfortunately, last year he finished as the wire receiver 12 in his rookie season.
23:58So we were drafting him at either the wire receiver 10 or 11 disappoints with a wide receiver 27 finish.
24:04But let me explain exactly why everything went wrong in 2025 and exactly why that isn't the case here in 2026.
24:09Starting with the offensive line, we've said this ad nauseum.
24:12You had the injuries to Rashawn Slater and to Joe All, two all pro tackles that go down and lead to the
24:18chargers having the 31st ranked offensive line in the NFL.
24:21As a result, Herbert finishes with a career high 54 sacks and a career high scramble rate of about 8%.
24:27Another thing you don't want with those things is for your team to go out and sign a veteran receiver who already
24:33has a rapport with your quarterback, who plays such a similar role that he'll cannibalize production, which is exactly what we saw with Keenan Allen.
24:39Fast forward to today, we've got a healthy offensive line, a healthy Justin Herbert, the introduction of Mike McDaniel as the offensive
24:46coordinator, Keenan Allen's out of the building, hopefully for good, fingers crossed, but now vacate about 122 targets that Ladd can soak up.
24:52And so that rookie season, he was the wire receiver 12.
24:55He led the entire NFL in separation win rate out of the slot at 20.3%, a mark that he almost broke when
25:01lined up out wide, an impressive 20.2%. Demon against man coverage ranked second only to Zay Flowers in average separation score against man at about 0.29.
25:08And so to finish my rant here, the yards and the volume may not have been there last year, but the underlying metrics were.
25:15Number one overall receiver in separation score against cover two, finished fourth among all receivers with about 3.26 average yards of separation.
25:21And this team has an immense amount of trust in him.
25:24We've already seen Jim Harbaugh come out and Mike McDaniel come out.
25:27They're telling us that this will be a breakout year for Ladd McConkie, and I'm saying the exact same thing.
25:33You know, I love Ladd on this show too.
25:35I think I might need to push him up my rankings too, because I'm at a point now where I'm doing drafts
25:41and there's other receivers on the board that I have ranked higher, but then I see Ladd there staring me down and
25:47I'm like, God damn it, he got me again.
25:50I can't, I can't not click that button. So I'm drafting a ton of Ladd and it's the, it's what you said, Mitch, just this offensive environment.
25:57Like if he was going to the same exact environment as last year, obviously at his current cost, it would be, I
26:03would have no interest at all, but everything has changed for the better.
26:07And I've always believed in the talent anyway. So that's why I'm in.
26:10I might be a sicko, but he's my wire receiver 12 right now.
26:14Ooh, spicy. And I can see it, man. The sex appeal of a lot.
26:18I know all too well, but all jokes aside, I mean, yeah, he hit the nail on the head here.
26:23Ladd McConkie, a ton of upside, especially when you get to that fourth round portion of your drafts.
26:28We typically like framing, like for example, a recent video we did on the channel is this year's blank.
26:33This year's version of a 2025 breakout star. Like for example, Mello, you talked about Rashad White.
26:38He would be a good candidate for this year's Javante Williams.
26:41To me, if anybody's going to be this year's JSN, it's going to be the guy that got an extreme upside and
26:47offense coordinator that knows how to designate deep targets that has an extremely improved offensive line with those guys coming back and
26:53has a top five to eight quarterback in the world.
26:56Sounds like a pretty good recipe to me. Yeah.
26:58Literally all the ingredients are there. Like everything is right there.
27:01And that's why I want it. Amen. I love it.
27:04And those were our six league winners for 2026.
27:07Thank you all for tuning in. And thank you so much to Danny for tuning in.
27:11Danny, before we get out of here, do you have anything left to plug?

27:35No, we don't have to, man. I'm not going to.
27:38Oh, Danny is genuinely the best guy and one of the best follows and their content is incredible.
27:43So go subscribe, go follow him. And most importantly, Mello, before we get out of here, did we miss anything?
