0:59All right. Good morning or good afternoon. Welcome to the Dominator.
1:03I'm your fantasy conciliary Dan Williamson, the overhyped sweeper.
1:06Just finally on X at overhyped sweeper. You can drop the final E at a sweeper.
1:11So it's SLEEPR. And joining me today is a high stakes shark.
1:15He finished seventh last year in the FFPC big gorilla.
1:19Not an easy task to do for sure. And he's one of my fantasy empire co-hosts Matt Modica.
1:25And for, we're going to go in for a deep dive on redraft contests.
1:29And don't worry, the empire is coming back soon.
1:32But today we're getting ready to dominate. All right.
1:36Welcome Matt. How have you been? I've been well.
1:39Thanks for having me on today. I sport in the cabana look for the summer.
1:44You know, the Frank Costanza. Or the, or as it's known nowadays, the Paul Spatari Fire Island look.
1:50Very, very nice. I'm enjoying having you on today because I know you've been out in the draft streets and, you know,
1:57there are a lot of people who haven't been out there at all or just now starting to get out into them.
2:05And you've, you've been going at it for a little bit on both FFPC and NFFC, right?
2:10Oh, yes. I was trying to push it back a little.
2:14Usually I start in June, but, you know, in like two weeks or less than three weeks, they quickly add up.
2:21Yes. Yes, they do. I've been, I've been myself trying to hold back as much as I possibly can, you know, so
2:29just kind of sprinkling them in here and there, trying to, you know, scratch the itch with, you know, more best ball right now.
2:37Just because I don't, I know what happens once I get to September and all those waivers come due.
2:43Well, being that you said that, I think after the fourth, I'm going to maybe slow down for like a week or
2:51two and maybe do some underdogs and stuff like that.
2:54Because, you know, there are guys I really haven't gotten.
2:58I mean, it all depends where you're landing on the board too and what format you're playing that I do wait on.
3:05So I want to kind of flip that script.
3:08Yeah, it totally makes sense. It's, you know, it's good to kind of, you know, let ADP change a little bit because
3:15it kind of changes up the type of board that is available to you.
3:20How have your drafts been going overall? How have you been feeling about it?
3:25I mean, I think I'm feeling pretty good. I'm, you know, getting the guys I like.
3:30I think after you do the first couple, you know, whichever format it is, you know, you start getting more accustomed to how the board's going to fall.
3:40And in line with the ADP. So, I mean, I kind of think you can go any way you want this year
3:47and fill in the gaps pretty easily as of now.
3:51I mean, everything's going to change next month. And obviously, when you get into late August, when everything goes live, it gets even tighter.
3:59But I think right now there's it's it's really nice pockets.
4:03Yeah, yeah, I would definitely agree. And, you know, it's a lot of fun to just get in there and see what
4:10we can do in these early drafts. And, you know, because we know by August things are going to be much, much different.
4:18You know, there will be some values available right now that certainly weren't available then.
4:23And there will be, of course, a few picks where we're like, oh, man, that one did not work out well at all.
4:31But, you know, you take a little bit of the good with the bad.
4:35So so I'm curious on on your drafts, you know, as far as NFL teams go, are there any teams that you've
4:43really been all in on this year that you just you feel great about most of the players available?
4:49I think the two obvious is the Chargers and the Jaguars, at least for excitement levels heading into the year.
4:56You know, McDaniel, excuse me, can't speak, but the new O.C.
5:00coming in and what Cohen is creating in Jacksonville is kind of looking special there.
5:05But I think the Lions as a team that we're accustomed to that everybody likes, basically bringing the band back together minus Monty.
5:13But the offensive line should be better. That was a big hole for them last year.
5:18And they have a last play schedule. That schedule is tantalizing.
5:22And the Dark Horse team is the Saints. I think everybody's kind of excited for them to make that next step.
5:29I love the head coach. I think he knows how to run an offense.
5:34They, you know, they put the draft capital in with Tyson.
5:37So let's see what happens there. Yeah, maybe the Lions pulled a Norway, you know, instead of just throwing a game.
5:45You know, they decided to throw the entire 2025 season.
5:48It still hurts. It still hurts 30 years later.
5:51So, yeah, I'm with you. I like those teams.
5:54New Orleans is one I've been very big on.
5:57And, you know, I just love their closing schedule for the shootout.
6:01That looks really, really enticing. And then Green Bay, another team I've been a lot more in on.
6:07Like last year, I wasn't very in on Green Bay at all.
6:11But this year, now that they've gotten rid of some of those wide receivers, you know, so it's a little bit of a smaller passing tree.
6:20I think it's a lot more fun getting in on the Green Bay guys.
6:25You know, it's basically you've got four receivers. You've got Josh Jacobs.
6:29And, you know, you've got Jordan Love. And, you know, I think all of them are pretty draftable at where they're going.
6:36Yeah, I agree. I think them streamlining their wide receiver core was the best thing to happen out of the offseason.
6:43You've got three, you know, you've got at least two talented guys in Watson and Reed.
6:49And we'll see about Golden. I think there's some excitement for him.
6:53I mean, at least with speed, he's definitely got that.
6:56So, and healthy craft is just a beast. Oh, yeah.
7:00Yep, yep. No complaints there. I've been taking a lot of craft, basically.
7:04Yeah, Jacksonville, the only thing that scares me is, you know, it's like there are so many mouths to feed on that offense.
7:12And, you know, I do kind of wonder, you know, how much 12 personnel are they going to be running?
7:19You know, is that going to change up things for the wide receivers?
7:23You know, we've got BTJ and Parker Washington both in there.
7:27But, you know, Jacoby Myers, even though we all wish he'd kind of go away for fantasy, he's going to be in there stealing some stuff.
7:36And then you've got Strange and, you know, possibly even Travis Hunter plus a couple running backs.
7:41It's like, yeah, I'm in on Jacksonville. But, man, it's just hard to know, you know.
7:47It feels a little bit more like a crapshoot, you know what I mean?
7:52Well, I mean, Jacoby Myers is the one person who can really hurt me.
7:56He can kind of wreck my season as of my early drafting has gone.
8:01I have taken – I'm in on both BTJ and Parker.
8:05I'm more so on Parker. I'm a little heavier on him.
8:09But I really like both of them. I'm not adverse to taking them together on a team.
8:14You know, if one hits, great. You know, if an injury happens.
8:18And I think you can really load up on receivers a couple of rounds later too.
8:24So I think you have that aspect as well.
8:27So, I mean, we will see. But I really like the way they ended.
8:32Now the contrarian could say, well, that schedule towards the end of the year was kind of easy, which it was.
8:39I mean, I'm not going to deny that. The one thing I will say about Parker Washington, I mean, it's easy to
8:46say BTJ, former first-round pick in the draft. Last year, people were drafted in the first round.
8:52He bounces back. He's healthy. We can buy that narrative.
8:55The thing with Parker is I hear a lot of people say it's only a four-week small sample.
9:01It's more like a 10-week sample because after the bye week of week eight last year is when he turned it on.
9:09And I think he averaged like 71 yards per game.
9:12And he's just getting more and more involved. He seems to be a vocal point.
9:17And the thing I'm buying more than anything is the connection and the trust he has with Trevor Lawrence.
9:24And that's something that you really can't take away from him.
9:27And we saw it last year. Now, like you said, a lot of mouths to feed.
9:33But that's what I'm buying. Yeah, and I get it on Parker Washington, too.
9:38Because, I mean, you know, basically where he operates is kind of where Trevor Lawrence is the best at throwing, too.
9:45So, you know, it's just kind of a natural go-together there.
9:48Whereas, you know, from what we've seen so far, you know, with BTJ, you've got to trust that Lawrence is going to
9:56be able to figure out the connection with him.
9:59Because, really, BTJ's just best stretch, of course, was when Mac Jones was playing quarterback.
10:04You know, so it's like you're taking that on faith a little bit.
10:08And I get it. You know, I think he's a talented player.
10:13I think there's a reason why we, you know, might want to take that on faith.
10:18But, you know, still, it's one of those things, you know, a lot of people need to see it before they can draft it.
10:26We haven't seen it yet. But if you want him, you're going to have to just, you know, get out there and, you know, take a chance.
10:35I will say that's a perfect point about the Mac Jones connection with him.
10:40But they are saying that, or at least Colum came out and said that they basically have been, you know, on target
10:47together this camp than all of last year. So that's a positive sign there, too.
10:52Yeah, definitely. I mean, I think to me, you know, if BTJ is just running, you know, a lot of nine routes
11:00and stuff like that, he's not going to be worth it.
11:04But, you know, if they can get him on some end breakers, you know, some deep crossers and things like that, you
11:11know, that's kind of the way to go. What is funny, Dan, is I think Nelson did like one of his first
11:19live streams maybe two, three weeks ago. And now they flipped because Parker Washington was going in the fifth in NFFC.
11:26And I was like, they're going to flip soon at some point.
11:30Because BTJ, it's just the easier case to make, you know, as I stated before.
11:35And now that's happened. BTJ is going in the fifth and Parker is more going end of fifth, early sixth.
11:42So I thought that was interesting how quickly that turned.
11:45Yeah, and we got Jared Dean asking, what's your exposure on BTJ?
11:49I mean, for me, I'm probably a little bit under, just a little bit underexposed right now.
11:55It's been a couple weeks since I've taken a close look at that.
11:59So how about you? Are you overweight or underweight?
12:02I'm overweight on Jacksonville. You know, they're all core players.
12:06I think I have five BTJ and nine Parker Washingtons.
12:09So I think I'm in on Jacksonville this year.
12:12But as I stated, the next round of drafts I'm doing, I got to change up the player pool.
12:19Like the guys that I really like and there's guys that I want more exposure of that I haven't been able to
12:26get, that I will make it a point to get.
12:29Yeah, for sure. All right, Matt, any teams that you're pretty much all the way out on that you just can't really draft?
12:37I mean, the Browns, it's basically fanning. And if I want to take a late shot on Judy, you know, when there's
12:45like no wide receivers left and, you know, at least he's one year removed to my 1200 yards.
12:51The rookies they got are intriguing. I just don't really like the quarterback situation.
12:55Is it Boston? Is it Concepcion? I don't know.
12:59And at that point, I'm probably, you know, done with my wide receivers for the most part.
13:04You know, maybe I'll take an Adonai Mitchell later on who I think is a perfect late round pick.
13:11So, and with Miami, I'm not going to full fade A-chan.
13:14I'm probably not going to have a lot. But the one guy that I do draft, and I found it odd, but
13:22I was like, nobody's drafting Greg Dulcich. And now he's being drafted in NFFC.
13:27FFPC is flying up. Oh, yeah. And that's a guy that I've been targeting.
13:31I have, I probably have at least eight or nine shares of him.
13:36So he's the one guy on that team outside of an A-chan that I will draft.
13:41Yeah, totally makes sense. I've been, I've been in the same ballpark, you know, in the early best ball drafts that I was doing.
13:49You know, Dulcich was almost an auto-click for me.
13:52And, you know, now that he's getting a lot more popular, I mean, he's kind of getting steamed up around, you know,
14:00he's going around where Gunnar Helm is now, another guy who got steamed up.
14:05Well, the one thing we've got to remember about Dulcich is coming out of college, he was basically a really good receiving tight end.
14:13That's his role. We saw the end of last year how he came on, and there's really nothing there.
14:19You know, outside of A-chan, I mean, if you're a big Malik Washington fan, I do like Chris Bell, but when is
14:27he going to be on the field, you know, coming off of the injury?
14:31So. Yeah, I, you know, and that's the thing.
14:34It's like, I get a little bit scared by taking players too early in the draft where, you know, basically when you're
14:42figuring out, you know, what's the path here as well, somebody has to get all these targets, you know.
14:48And usually those things don't work out too well if we end up pushing somebody too far up a draft board just
14:56because, you know, well, somebody needs to get those targets, somebody needs to get those touches, and this might be the most likely option.
15:04You know, if they're really talented, I'm fine with it.
15:07But, you know, a guy like Dulcich I think is perfect because you're getting them, you know, even in an FFPC, you're
15:15still getting them in the, you know, 14th, 15th round, and you don't have to spend a lot, yet he is kind
15:22of that guy who's the most likely to get targets.
15:26So, you know, to me that's the place to kind of make those gambles.
15:30And then Pittsburgh, I'd say, is one team I've been pretty out on.
15:35How about you? Have you been drafting any Steelers?
15:38Let me see. The only Steeler I got, I got a share of Jalen Warren, who I do like.
15:44I'm a little worried about Dowdle being there because he has the relationship with the head coach.
15:50And we saw last year how he just usurped Chuba.
15:53So, that kind of scares me. And even last year, Warren, who, you know, I always like, but he never seems to get the backfield to himself.
16:02But he's going at a price where I think, you know, it's not going to hurt.
16:08If he's your RB3, you know, it's – I can definitely run with that.
16:13And if he ever does take control of the backfield, I think he could be pretty nice.
16:18Yeah, totally agree with that. He's probably the one guy.
16:22Okay. All right. Sounds good. We're going to do a quick break here.
16:26We'll be right back. You may draft a great team in fantasy football, but if those players get hurt, you're toast.
16:33So, let's put my glasses on here. And we're going to talk about injury probability because we have the data.
16:40And now we have an app called the Injury Finder where you can look up if a player is more likely than
16:48another player to get hurt and miss significant time for your fantasy team this year.
16:53Running backs, wide receivers, quarterbacks, tight ends. We have all of their precise injury probabilities.
16:58It is in the App Store right now. It is $5 for the 2026 Injury Probabilities.

17:49So I went on to BetterHelp to try to look for a therapist to help me with that.
17:55My relationship with my family and with my boyfriend and with myself were suffering.
18:00I really needed help. I was ruminating a lot.

18:14So, Matt, are there any players in the first couple rounds that you're pretty much full fading or are you trying to stay relatively even?
18:22I mean, I'm probably going to do a lot of these 350s.
18:26So I don't think I'm going to full fade anyone.
18:29But the guys like CMC is basically a workload thing that I'm worried about.
18:34You know, I know he's 30. I'm not worried about that part.
18:38But I haven't really seen him do back-to-back years in some time.
18:42And, you know, I mean, just the pass-catching ability.
18:45He stays healthy. He's probably one of the best picks you're going to get in the draft.
18:51But that's a big if. CD Lamb is so interesting.
18:55On NFFC, he's basically 8 or 9. On FFPC, he's like 14 to 16.
18:59You can get him. And I just like – I mean, I kind of think I'm more of a Drake London guy this year.
19:07He's not battling with Pickens there. And so I don't want to say that I'm not really in on CD.
19:14But that's what it seems to be early on.
19:17And A-Chan, again, not that I want to be out on him, but I really like Kenneth Walker.
19:23I like Hampton. I mean, Jente, to me, is a top-seven pick.
19:27So that offense – I don't know Malik Willis.
19:30I know he looked really good in a couple of spots.
19:34But we've seen people look good in a couple of spots and then just be awful.
19:40But, again, the contrary on H-Chan is he's the only show in town.
19:44He catches 80 balls. You know, he's going to dominate.
19:47And so I – you know, I have a harder time making those three clicks.
19:52But I don't think if you're going to do volume, you can full fade them.
19:58Yeah, I'd agree with that. I mean, if you're doing a lot of volume, you've pretty much got to get yourself a little bit of almost everybody.
20:07The one that I find – I'm fading them more by default than anything else is just that I have a really
20:14hard time pushing the trigger on JSN over Amon Ra St.
20:18Brown. And, you know, I know Amon Ra is going later.
20:22JSN just worries me a little bit, you know, as they kind of tailed off a little bit last year.
20:28And I think that was because defenses were adjusting.
20:31You know, they were just, like, deciding that they weren't going to let JSN run wild down the field.
20:38And then also, you know, I'm a little bit worried about the new offensive coordinator coming in.
20:44You know, Kubiak has proven to be pretty good.
20:47So I have some concerns about that. You know, to me, Amon Ra is just safer than JSN.
20:53So I'd rather – you know, if I'm talking about, you know, making a pick at, you know, 5-6-7, something like that,
21:00I'm probably going to take Amon Ra over JSN if I can.
21:04And, you know, Gentie's another guy who I might even at times push over JSN.
21:09But then again – I'm fine with both. I get what you're saying.
21:14I mean, Amon Ra has proven to be the safest guy.
21:18What is he like? Wide receiver three every year.
21:21The thing that I'll say to, you know, make the case for JSN is, one, is the defense going to be as good?
21:28Is the running game going to be as good?
21:31And Rasheed Shahid has a full offseason there. And putting him on the other side I think helps JSN because he could be a really good deep target.
21:41You know, you can just send him out. So those are – and look, I want to have an equal share of JSN and Amon Ra.
21:50That's the way I'm looking at it. And I've seen where – is it you guys that got JSN at like 9, you and Theo?
21:58No, we picked him at – we got him at 6.
22:02Theo wanted to go JSN over Bowers, and this was in FFPC main event.
22:07So I'm like, you know, well, I do want to have exposure to JSN.
22:11I don't want to be completely out on him.
22:14So we went with that. And, you know, you can put together some great teams with JSN in that, you know, kind
22:22of in the middle of the draft there. So it's, you know, it's definitely not a structural problem.
22:28I think in FFPC that's like pick five is so interesting.
22:32Do you go Bowers? Do you pick Dan? Do you go Amon Ra?
22:36For me, those are the three guys there. If I was only doing one, I would probably go Bowers.
22:43I mean, I know last year at all, everything – I mean, Chip Kelly, which is – they just should not have been head coach and offensive coordinator.
22:52Everything was just awful. And look at the additions.
22:55I mean, getting the Ravens center was a huge play right there.
22:59And that's just – you know, having that to kind of cement the offensive line, give it that cohesion, and that dude can open up some nice holes.
23:09I mean, not that Derrick Henry is anything shabby, but, you know, he was getting some nice holes at times from him.
23:16I mean, look, it's an interesting way to go.
23:19And I think you have many options, which is nice.
23:23Yep. Yep, for sure. Any players that you've been finding to be really good bargains right now?
23:28You know, who are kind of a couple of your big targets, and are you getting them as much as you want to?
23:36I think in the first couple of rounds, I think Brees Hall, to me, should be like a late second-round pick.
23:43I know you hate a three-headed monster thing, that comment.
23:47But as I said on the live stream last night, I think the guy that does coach speak, I think it's Greg Branos is his name.
23:55If I'm saying it wrong, I apologize. But he broke that down perfectly, more elegantly than I could do, if you want
24:03to listen to his clip on that. I'm not buying that.
24:07They just paid Brees. I think Brees is – you know, if this offense is going to get better, which I do
24:14believe – the only scary thing when we talk about teams is I like two Raiders in Bowers and Chetty, and I
24:21like two Jets in Brees and GW. So that's the scary part there.
24:26But I think if Geno doesn't go to jail this offseason and can just be adequate, average, which he was, you know,
24:33prior to last year, I think the Jet offense would be a lot better.
24:38Yeah, I don't see how Geno isn't an improvement over what they had at quarterback last year, for sure.
24:45I think it just makes it, you know, more common offense.
24:48As the owner famously said last year, a quarterback cannot complete a pass.
24:53But, I mean, Brees would be the early guy.
24:56I still think Monty – I see he moved up FFP, but I was able to get him in our NFFC, like 6-1 or 5-6.
25:04And I think he should be going at least early 5th, if not late 4th.
25:09Like, after, like, Jacobs is gone, I think Monty needs to go.
25:13That's the way I would look at it, just for that situation that he's in and, you know, and that.
25:20Yeah, I'm right there with you. I think Montgomery's a, you know, a great pick, a really nice value.
25:27I've been having a harder time getting him just because my draft slots haven't been lining up so well.
25:33And it's kind of like I'm, you know, I'm sometimes doing the thing where I'm trying to push him just a little
25:40bit, you know, and see if he'll come back around.
25:44And it's like those drafts, it never happens. So, I'm going to have to start pushing him up rather than trying to get that value.
25:52And I got one receiver who I think is going at a nice price in both.
25:58Starting to move up. I started noticing the NFFC board, at least with the regular drafts, seems to be tightening more than slows right now.
26:06But Ricky Pearsall, I do like at his price.
26:09Of course, you get Evans there. He's going to be the alpha.
26:13He's going to draw all the attention. Kittle's coming off an injury.
26:17Jennings is gone. And when healthy and on the field, Ricky Pearsall has been very productive.
26:23After the first three games last year, he was headed, you know, he was on pace for a monster season.
26:30Like a $1,600 season. I don't like to do the on-pace stuff.
26:34But his first three games or four games out of the gate before he got that injury, he was looking to be
26:41somebody that was going to pay off very nicely.
26:44So that would be a wide receiver, I think, is priced perfectly.
26:48Or at a discount, as you say. Yeah. And interestingly, in that football guys, NFFC that we're doing right now, I took Pearsall in the sixth.
26:57And I know I pushed him up a little bit.
27:00But, you know, the way my build was going, I had three strong running backs and only two receivers.
27:07Which, when you're heading into the sixth round in the NFFC, that's kind of a little bit of a dicey place to be.
27:15Yeah. But I think what you said there is important.
27:18You pushed him up because you saw what's going to happen.
27:22You know what's going to happen. Like, the way I look at it, Jonathan Brooks is my number one owned player.
27:29Okay. And I'm betting on this talent finally coming to fruition.
27:33I saw Chuba get usurped by Rico Dattel last year.
27:36And I think for this offense to function, he's got to be a good pass catcher.
27:41And they put the capital in. He's been the best running back drafted the last two drafts.
27:47I don't think there's really an argument there with his upside.
27:51So, the way I look at it, say, like an FFPC, once those running backs in the fifth round go, like after,
27:58like, Swift, the Tootons, the Montgomerys, I will take Brooks as early as I have to.
28:04I'm not worried. I don't want to push him up.
28:07But now he is getting, he is moving up.
28:10But I don't want to miss out. That's a running back.
28:14That's a guy that I'm believing in. Maybe I'm wrong.
28:17But I see the path to him where he can be a difference maker.
28:22So, I think you have to be able to make those calls and not worry about the ADP all the time.
28:29You've got to look at your team build. And what do you need there should always be most important.
28:36Yeah, I totally agree with that. I mean, you know, every team kind of naturally fits together a little bit differently.
28:43You know, some teams, Brooks is going to make a lot of sense.
28:47Some teams, Pearsall is going to make a lot of sense.
28:51Some teams, those guys aren't going to make as much sense.
28:55You know, you may have other things you need to do around the place where those guys are coming up.
29:01You know, like for me, I wasn't worried at all about Brooks because I had already, you know, three stud running backs.
29:09So, you know, running back isn't something that I'm going to really be worried about for a while yet.
29:15My caveat on that is, though, you can't be jumping everybody.
29:19But I'm saying, like, when your build demands it or dictates it and you know the room, like, you have to know the cliffs.
29:27I think that's very important. Wide receivers, you know, there's a cliff.
29:31Once, like, you know, those worthy Wondells go, it's pretty much, okay, I'll buy the Jaden Higgins second year.
29:38I like him. But once these guys start going, it's pretty much it.
29:42And Coker, yeah, I'll take Coker as my five or six, but I can't bank on him.
29:48But I like him. And I think he's another key cog to that offense succeeding because Tech McMillian, to me, is his uber talent.
29:56He's just got a bad quarterback. I mean, the guy threw for, what, over 200 yards like three times last year.
30:03Until I see that improve. Yeah, yeah. I'm totally with you there because I think, you know, to me, I can justify paying the price on Coker.
30:12I can't justify paying the price on Tech. You know, because for Coker, I'm not, you know, I'm hopefully not relying on him often.
30:20You know, he's a guy that I'm going to be just kind of throwing in on bye weeks or something like that.
30:28You know, and really, you know, if you look at the last few games of the year, he was performing about even with Tech McMillian.
30:36Yeah, he went off on like three of those last five.
30:40Right. And in the playoffs especially, you know, it was like that was, you know, that was actually the play in the
30:47postseason contest was to be on Coker rather than Tech.
30:51You know, and there's no doubt that, you know, Tech being Ted is part of what's freeing up Coker.
30:57But I'm okay with that. You know, I'll let somebody else draft Tut and, you know, have him attracting cornerbacks and safeties like flies.
31:05Meanwhile, Coker is running, you know, uncontested. So nothing wrong with that at all.
31:10You kind of got into it a little bit, but how are you attacking the drafts overall?
31:16You know, you said recognize where the cliffs are.
31:19I think that's super, super important. Well, I mean, I'll give each example.
31:23I think you can go either way. Like if you went running back, running back, you can just pound four receivers pretty much if you want.
31:32And you're going to have a good receiving core.
31:35I truly, I've seen it. At least I'm comfortable with it that way.
31:40But even if you started out with two receivers or you went to three receivers in the NFC.
31:46So, you know what? Zero. I'm going to go zero running back this year.
31:50I'm going three wide to start. The fourth round, you can get a running back.
31:55The fifth round, you can get a running back.
31:58You know, the sixth round, you can even pull somebody up or maybe you go back to another receiver.
32:05And in the seventh round, you can get, you know, like a Rashad White type kind of guy or a Blake Corum, if you believe in him.
32:14I like him a lot. You know, so I think it's there for you.
32:19You just, how you start this year, you don't have to be like, oh, I got to get one running back, one receiver.
32:27I don't want to fall behind. I think it's so open to you.
32:31I will say in the FFPC, with the tight end, I do like having that early tight end this year.
32:38Of course, if you miss out on that middle pocket, depending upon where you're picking, if like a Tucker Craft goes, I'd
32:45rather the receivers there or some of the running backs and some of the tight ends.
32:51And I think Warren, you know, I think he was, I got to look this up.
32:56I'm pretty sure he was tight end too. I mentioned this last night and Nelson asked me.
33:02I said, I'm pretty sure it's true. He was like tight end too up until dimes got hurt or whatever weekend.
33:09It was Loveland's in a smash spot. Loveland is more of a tougher decision.
33:14Of course, you're giving up one of those possibly like key running backs.
33:18If Kenneth Walker falls, I'm taking Kenneth Walker. I'm sorry.
33:21I've seen it fall and you'll do that. But if I can get a Warren in the third round, it makes my draft so much easier in FFPC.
33:31Because I got a guy who I'm in on as a stud.
33:35And that's going to produce and be a big part of this offense.
33:39And I can attack the running backs and the wide receivers and then get my second tight end later on.
33:46Yeah, totally agree. I think, you know, for me on NFFC, I kind of tend to push the tight ends a little bit more.
33:54Because, you know, you just, you can. You know, they go quite a bit later.
33:59You know, you can pick up, you know, a Tucker Craft in the, you know, eighth round.
34:05You can pick up, you know, Dalton Kincaid. He goes in like the 111th, 12th, something like that.
34:11I mean, it's ridiculous how late some of the tight ends go compared to FFPC.
34:16Yeah, like a Porter's a ninth round pick. Yeah.
34:19Yeah, you get it. Yeah, 10th round in FFC, you got Kincaid, Kittle, Likely.
34:24You know, three very, very good ones. So there's, to me, in FFC, there's not much reason to push it.
34:31In FFPC, I'm kind of right there with you.
34:34I like those early tight ends. And then, you know, I'll grab somebody much, much later.
34:39Being that we're talking tight end and you are a tight end whisperer.
34:44And who are you having on next week? Coop?
34:47Are you having him on? Yes. Yeah. And he's another tight end guy, tight end specialist.
34:52I always like hearing his opinions on tight ends.
34:55All I keep hearing is how Trey McBride is going to regress.
34:59Yet, they've done nothing for their defense. They still got to play, you know, some really good teams.
35:05Their division alone. I know they get the last play schedule.
35:09But, I mean, I don't think. And then, he fought.
35:13Like, in these gorillas, I can't say for the main events.
35:16I'm only in one slow main event. But in these gorillas, he's fallen to the second round.
35:22Where you're getting him the third or fourth pick in the second round.
35:26And, yeah, okay, he regresses. That's like saying Matthew Stafford's not going to throw 46 touchdown passes.
35:32Maybe he throws 34 touchdown passes this year. You know, that's still good.
35:37Yep. So, I just, all I keep hearing is like a lot of Trey McBride hate.
35:42And I'm not saying that I'm taking Trey McBride.
35:45I'm taking the running back usually or a Drake London.
35:49But I think, especially for FFPC, the hate is getting a little crazy on Trey McBride.
35:54Yeah, I'm with you. I mean, you know, I see the reasons for concern.
35:59You know, you've got Jeremiah Love. And, you know, if their offensive line is blocking any better, that should certainly help.
36:06Their defense was just absolutely terrible last year. They had a lot of injuries.
36:11You know, if their defense is any better, you know, that's going to help them stay in games a little bit better.
36:18You know, so I don't think it's going to be the, you know, just letting everything fly like Brissette was doing at the end of last year.
36:27You know, which is going to, it's going to drag him down a little bit.
36:32But I still think where he's going. What was the problem the year before was the touchdowns he didn't have.
36:39Right. But he had the targets and stuff. So, I mean, I just see it hard that this guy is not going
36:46to be a key cog of that offense. And Brissette loves to target the tight end.
36:52Always has. So, you know, that's something he's done throughout his career.
36:56So, that's another thing in favor of McBride. How about the quarterbacks?
37:00What are you doing on quarterbacks this year in drafts?
37:03I mean, look, I always like taking the early quarterbacks.
37:07I really been waiting so far, this first iteration of my draft season, I'll say, like these first three weeks.
37:14You know, I've sprinkled in like one Josh Allen, one Lamar.
37:17You know, their prices are just ridiculous in my opinion.
37:21But I think if you wait until like that 9th to 11th round or, you know, FFPC, because even the 12th round,
37:28I'm getting somebody I like as my QB2. So, right now I've been mostly waiting.
37:33But I think the prices, Lamar, before he got hurt last year, opened up the season the first three weeks.
37:40He was on fire. 30 points or more every game.
37:43Got hurt was never the same. I mean, Drake Mayer getting at really good prices.
37:48He's got his alpha, his number one. And like Joe Burrow, I get like FFPC.
37:54He's not as attractive to people if you don't have Chase or Higgins.
37:58But I mean, at the end of the 7th round, if Joe Burrow's there, I take him.
38:04Even naked. I'm like, why not? I'll take Burrow here, and then I'll either get a dart or a shook to get
38:11like that mobile quarterback in the 11th, 12th, 13th round, or even 14th sometimes shook.
38:16So, I think the prices, I really like a Herbert.
38:20I really love Lawrence. So, those two guys I've really been keen on.
38:24But you even get Purdy late. I mean, look what you get, Brock Purdy.
38:29Yeah, yeah. It's just insane how late the quarterbacks are going.
38:32You know, you've got Dak Prescott going really late.
38:36Brock Purdy going really late. Trevor Lawrence going really late as well.
38:40And, you know, to me, that might be the best way to play the Jacksonville offense is just, you know, draft Lawrence and, you know.
38:48Yeah, I hear that a lot, but I think one of these guys has got to pop.
38:54If Lawrence is really going to have a good year, somebody's popping.
38:58For sure. For sure. I love Lawrence paired up with one of his receivers, but, you know, he's also not a guy I'm afraid of taking naked either.
39:07So, you know, I think he's just, you could see everything starting to click together for him last year.
39:14And like you said, you know, acknowledge, easy schedule to close out the year last year.
39:19But the way things were clicking together, you know, it feels like he's finally taken that step that we needed to see
39:27him take to, you know, become more than just kind of an average NFL quarterback.
39:32You know, I'm not saying he's a superstar, but he's definitely moved into the, you know, above average, hey, we can win with this guy type of quarterback.
39:41And a guy like Herbert, especially last year when he was running more.
39:46And I thought like about a month ago, I was looking on like DraftKings and stuff, and he was like 11 to 1 for MVP.
39:54And I'm like, ah, I like that. Now everybody's MVP is Justin Herbert.
39:59So I'm like, I'm not going to happen. That's all I keep hearing is Justin Herbert for MVP.
40:05There we go. That's the one thing that's scaring me.
40:08Seems like, you know, that hive mind. Yes. Yeah, no doubt.
40:12There's plenty of people on board that train already.
40:15So curious, Matt, any lesson you learned last year that you're bringing into this year?
40:20Or are you just pretty much like, hey, it went great last year.
40:24I'm going to try to duplicate it. The best lesson I learned last year, and I think I said it on our
40:32pod maybe at the end of last season, was at the GST Prime at Chris McCarrow's Restaurant in New York City.
40:39That was a stacked league. Hall of Fame. Pretty much half the room was at least Hall of Famers.
40:45And I started out with CMC at 7. And when it came around, JT fell to me, and I was going to take JT.
40:53And I was just worried in that room, falling behind on wide receiver and having to play chase up wide receiver.
41:01And in that, NFFC really don't want to do that, especially the sharp room.
41:05And I went with Lad McConkie. And that was, I think I finished fourth in that league.
41:11I was pretty much third for most of it.
41:14And that was a killer. I could have probably won that league if I make that.
41:19So this year, especially as we mentioned, as we've talked about so far, how you can go either way.
41:26So I have no problem doubling up on wide receiver or running back.
41:30I've even tripled on running back in like FFPC and just pounded like five wide receivers or four wide receivers and a tight end.
41:38And I felt pretty good about my team. Yeah, I think you can definitely do that in FFPC.
41:45Like you say, in NFFC, it's a little bit more, you know, you feel like you're on the razor's edge a little bit if you don't get it.
41:54Yeah, in FFPC, you basically got to say, I'm punting tight end.
41:58If you go three and you got to punt on the quarterback till later, you can't get a onesie position.
42:05You go three running backs, you have to commit to at least going four wide the next four rounds.
42:11You just got to be disciplined. And even one of these, you're like, oh, my God, I can't believe this quarterback's here or this tight end's here.
42:20It's got to be receiver. That's the way I look at it.
42:25Totally, totally. Yeah, the one thing I really picked up is, you know, I had so many leagues last year that started out just absolutely ice cold.
42:34You know, it was like none of the guys would go on.
42:38I had injuries right off the bat, you know.
42:41And then, like, about week seven, week eight, you know, all of a sudden things started coming together, you know, and these teams start furiously rallying.
42:50But I only got about half of them in just because, you know, it was like some of those teams were so far back.
42:58You know, so one thing I've been looking at this year is trying to get some players with more easy opening schedules,
43:05you know, because as I looked back on last year, that was one of the things was it was, you know, I
43:13had some players with some tough early schedules and too many players with tough early schedules.
43:18It's like it doesn't really matter what your schedule looks like in the shootout if you don't make the shootout.
43:25Well, that's one of the things I do really like about FFPC is, like, the four people.
43:31And if you're fourth place and you can win that playoff, you get in.
43:35You know, sometimes, like you say, your team starts off, you know, slow.
43:40I mean, the one takeaway I had from last year, I think the most heartbreaking Sunday for me was watching Scatterboo get hurt.
43:48Because I had so much Scatterboo and he was coming on so strong.
43:52And that was a key cog in a lot of my builds.
43:56But that's going to happen. That's part of the game.
43:59That's why, you know, you've got to have the depth or you've got to hit on the right guys in FAB and all that.
44:08Yeah. Yep, for sure. Yeah. And it's, you know, I was looking through the schedule, you know, as soon as it came
44:15out, you know, in Baltimore, New Orleans, Philly, Tampa Bay, those are some teams that have really, really attractive early season schedules.
44:22And, you know, also, those are some good offenses, too, which, you know, if you can get players on good offenses that,
44:30you know, start off the year with an easy schedule, I think it makes it a little bit easier.
44:36Especially, you know, because when we're talking these contest leagues, you know, it's not like other leagues where you, in FFPC, you
44:44know, it's over after, you know, week 12. Now week 13, you know, are already your league playoffs.
44:50So in the FFPC, it's really, really important to get that hot start.
44:54You've got a little bit more runway in the NFFC where, you know, they run the league playoff concurrent with the shootout.
45:02Just makes it a lot easier. That's one thing I wish FFPC would do.
45:06So people do overlook. I was always like, yeah, this is crazy that we have bye weeks in the playoffs.
45:13But, I mean, I've seen it happen to me last year, too, in the NFFC with the bye weeks where I needed
45:21that guy week 14, and he's on a bye, and I don't make the playoffs.
45:26I was maybe third place, and I fell out, you know.
45:30So it does cut both ways, and I do like the opportunity where if I'm a fourth-place team that's coming on, you know, I had last year.
45:39I had it a couple times where I went from fourth to getting in either the gorilla or, say, the main event.
45:46And that's pretty – that makes you pretty happy when that happens.
45:50You just won the league, but you also weren't in, and now you're in.
45:55Yep. Yep. Yeah, no doubt about that. All right.
45:58Well, let's – we said we were going to talk rookies, so let's get into that real quick.
46:04Like, I'll just throw out the – I'm going to throw out the top five ADP rookies by ADP, and, you know, let's just talk about real quick.
46:14Are we in or are we out? Jeremiah Love, obviously, first one that comes up in ADP.
46:19He's mispriced. I mean, look, as awful as Gentry, you know, it didn't happen for Gentry last year, end of the first, early second.
46:27He finished what, like as a third-round player? And this guy's going in the middle of the third in the NFFC.
46:35Nelson got him like 4-4 last night. I couldn't believe he didn't take him in the third.
46:40I was like – I would have – you know, especially I think he started the two wide.
46:46And for me, look, I know they signed down to you, but all they did was running backs, offensive line, the defense is still trash.
46:55Okay? So this team – and this guy can catch the ball.
46:59Very good prospect. I will be adding to him.
47:02I'm overweight on Brees, so now it's time to start cooling on Brees.
47:06Love is my target now going forward, and I want to be in on him.
47:11Yeah, I like Love's price, definitely. You know, basically everybody kind of looks at what happened to Gentry last year, and they're
47:19going, what if that happens with Love? And it's like, well, Love is right now priced to the point where if that happens, you're okay.
47:27You know, Gentry finished is the RB12. When was the last time that a running back third overall was going in the third round?
47:36Right, exactly. So got to take advantage of that discount for sure.
47:40Are you in on Janarian Price? Definitely much cheaper.
47:43I do like him. I have zero shares right now, and it's more because of I'm taking Monty, Tootin, Trevion, and even
47:50Swift in that fifth round over him, or if I need the receiver.
47:55And so FFPC is more like a Christian Watson spot for me.
47:59I'm going to smash that. You know, NFFC is going to go in the fourth round, Watson, but in FFPC, he's there in the fifth round.
48:07I'm like, gobble that up. So I do like him.
48:11I'm intrigued, but I don't have any shares right now.
48:14I do think that would change. I mean. Yeah, I don't have any shares either, and I don't think that's likely to
48:22change for me just because I think he's going to be pretty much a zero in the passing game.
48:28You know, and so to me, he tracks a little bit closer to like, you know, a Jordan Mason or, you know,
48:35a Bill Krosky-Meritt or somebody like that, where I think there's going to be a lot of rushing upside available and probably on a winning team.
48:44You know, should be a, definitely Seattle should be a winning team.
48:48But, you know, unless he falls into the, you know, the end zone 12 times or something like that.
48:55And the thing is, I think Charbonnet, they're probably going to trust more around the goal line than they do Price as long as Charbonnet is healthy.
49:04Well, I think right now that we're talking about Seattle's running game.
49:08I mean, he goes so late. George Helani. I'm not saying Helani's good, but he's the guy you should be picking in the 16th round if he's there.
49:1817th round. You're getting a free look, number one.
49:21He's probably going to catch some balls. And if he hasn't, if he, you know, catches some passes and maybe has a
49:28really good game for some reason, you know, catches one, breaks them.
49:32It's a free look. And at that point, there's really, like, there's really not guys up.
49:37If you want to say, well, I'm going to take a defense or this, that route, I get it.
49:44But I think Helani at his price isn't a bad pick late right now.
49:49Yeah, I like him a lot better in these managed leagues than I like him in best ball.
49:55Because I think in best ball, you know, the Helani thing dries up after a while.
50:00But managed leagues, you know, spending a, you know, 16th, 17th round pick on a running back that you're going to use
50:08for, you know, potentially three, four, five weeks, something like that.
50:11You know, and with the free look on top of it, you know, like icing on the cake.
50:17No problem with that at all. There's a part of me that everyone sees.
50:22I'm Howie Mandel, the comedian. Apparently, I know what funny is.
50:26Funny bought me a house. But I also know what isn't funny.
50:30OCD. I've lived with OCD my entire life and people throw the term around like it's no big deal.
50:36But OCD is severe, often debilitating. It's a mental health condition that involves unrelented, unwanted thoughts that can make you question your character, your beliefs, even your safety.
50:46General therapy can help with some things. But for OCD, it can actually make things worse.
50:51That's why I want to tell you about NoCD.
50:54NoCD is the world's largest treatment provider for OCD and is covered by insurance for over 155 million Americans.
51:01Their licensed therapists specialize in ERP, the most effective treatment for OCD.
51:05If you think you might be struggling with OCD, go to NOCD.com to book a free 15-minute call.
51:11They are here to help. When I found out I was going to be a parent, I immediately felt a lot of anxiety and worry.
51:19So I went on to BetterHelp to try to look for a therapist to help me with that.
51:26My relationship with my family and with my boyfriend and with myself were suffering.
51:30I really needed help. I was ruminating a lot.
51:33Really getting those thoughts out to a therapist and getting feedback was just life-changing.
51:38Discover what BetterHelp Online Therapy can do for you.
51:41Visit BetterHelp.com today. How about Colonel Tate? I took him in my first draft in the sixth round.
51:47I haven't taken him since. There's been more with the BTJs, the Parker, Washingtons.
51:52Again, Watson and the FFPC goes in that range.
51:55So it's more guys I like. But again, this is a guy that went fourth overall.
52:00I know Wondell's there. Wondell had a really good deal last year.
52:05He knows the Dable system. But they pretty much went all in by taking him fourth.
52:10He didn't think he was going there fourth. He thought he was going like seven to Washington.
52:16I was watching an interview with him. So it's a guy that I want to have shares.
52:21Am I going to be overweight on him? No.
52:25But I definitely don't want to be a full favorite.
52:28Yeah, I'm right there with you. I've been having a little bit of trouble getting a hold of him just because I
52:35do like a lot of other players going around him.
52:39But he's somebody I definitely want to be in on.
52:42How about Jordan Tyson? I only have two Tyson shares right now, but I do want to increase that exposure.
52:49I do really like Alave. I haven't taken Alave yet.
52:52But I think Alave's fine. Bloodcocks can come back, though.
52:56But you're basically getting the cheaper part here in the FFPC.
52:59You can get him in the seventh round of times, too.
53:03So if you like this offense, you like Kelvin Moore, it seems like a very intriguing player.
53:09Yeah. I've been getting a lot of Tyson. I mean, I'm almost to the point where I've got to kind of tie
53:16my hands together when I see Tyson on the board and I'm about to make a pick.
53:22Because, you know, to me, I think I have him a little bit closer to, you know, I think there's a tear drop right around where he's going.
53:32And I have him, you know, firmly in the tear in front of him.
53:36And I think a lot of people have him kind of more firmly in the tear and back of where he's going.
53:44And, you know. No, I agree. I think you have to like Tyson.
53:48Then it's like the Godwin, Josh Downs, tear, you know, Purcell, Michael Wilson, if you believe in him.
53:54Yep. You know. And. Yeah, for sure. How about, how about Makai Lemon?
53:59I got zero says. I do really like the player.
54:02I think he's talented. I, I'm thinking he's maybe a next year guy or you got to wait till later in the season.
54:10I think Barkley, who I'm not fully in on, but I am drafting because he does fall in that second round.
54:17I think Barkley is going to get a lot more passes this year.
54:21I think Goddard is a guy when he's on the field, he's going to get a lot.
54:27And I'm hoping that the Slim Reaper is finally reaches that apex of that number one wide receiver and stuff.
54:34So. Yeah. I can't beat on everybody. Makai Lemon is somebody I want to at least be around even on because I
54:41think he's going at a, you know, pretty intriguing spot on the board.
54:46You know, he's kind of going down a tier from Jordan Tyson for sure.
54:51And, you know, I, I love what, you know, the chances are for Devontae Smith.
54:56I think it's fantastic. But I also remind myself, you know, this, they, they do call him the Slim Reaper for a reason.
55:03Or skinny Batman. Skinny Batman. You know, is he going to be able to hold up?
55:09And we, we know that Goddard has had problems holding up as well.
55:13So, you know, I'm like, you know, Lemon, I, you know, I don't worry too much about Dontavion Wicks because if they're
55:21going to play Lemon on some on the outside, I think he's a better receiver, you know, right out of the gate than Wicks.
55:29I think Wicks is a fantastic talent, but, you know, and he gets open like crazy, but, you know, he just can't catch the ball.
55:37I'd say my argument, the reason I have no Lemon is Josh Downs, Ricky Pearsall, and I would take Chris Goddard over him.
55:45So, those three guys are usually in the same realm as Lemon.
55:49So. Yeah. Kyle, I think we'll, we'll take the under on 2K yards for the Slim Reaper.
55:55At least I will. I would like to see it.
55:58I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I would like to see it.
56:03I would like to see it too. Anyone, anyone further down the draft boards that you're taking, Matt, that, you know, as far as working.
56:11Yeah. I mean, let me think. The one running back is in your backyard, Claiborne.
56:17I'm really not drafting Jones or Mason. At that range, I'm pretty much done with my main running backs, and I'm looking
56:24more for like a Keith Mitchell type in another round or two or a Samson.
56:29So, Claiborne seems like a guy that everybody seems to like.
56:33He's getting all this hype and see, maybe it's a nothing burger.
56:37And it's wrong. But as a later on rookie, he seems to be the very shiny toy.
56:43And the super late rookie, he might, again, another guy that might be an absolute nothing.
56:48I just love watching the film on this guy.
56:51And he was the owner's pick is Adam Randall.
56:546'3", 230, who is converted to running back. And you watch that guy run patterns as a running back at that size.
57:02It's pretty fun to watch. Yeah, for sure. And, you know, Derrick Henry, you know, not the youngest guy in the world anymore either.
57:10So, yeah. I did take my first Henry. I think it was last week in FFPC.
57:15I had the one pick. I went Gibbs, Henry, and Brees.
57:19And then I bagged out receivers and tight ends.
57:22Yeah, as Nelson and I were talking about the other day, it's, you know, this is one of those players that he's
57:29been fading for, you know, three or four years.
57:32And so have I. And, you know, so I finally decided, you know what, this is the year where I'm going to make some sacrificial Henry picks.
57:42I think you have to. I think you have to get a couple.
57:46Yep. And especially, you know, because he is going later and later.
57:50So, you know, it's like when you can pick up Henry in the fourth round, you know, or third round, that's something you've got to do.
57:59You know, you're picking him up outside of the top 12 sometimes.
58:03So, you know. Yeah. And you look at, I mean, he's probably in the best shape of anybody in the league.
58:10He really is. You know, however old he is.
58:13So, yeah, I've kind of like, I'm not going to be heavy on Henry, but I am going to sprinkle in maybe
58:21a couple more than I usually do. Yep. Yep, for sure.
58:24I've been taking, I've been in on Denzel Boston.
58:27You know, he's just basically, from what I've been hearing, he's been ripping up training camp or ripping up mini camp, you know.
58:35And, you know, I like the fact that, you know, he's a big, tall, you know, ex-receiver.
58:41And, you know, I think he might fit the way that Cleveland wants to play.
58:46So, I've been taking him a little bit more than Concepcion.
58:50Part of it is that he goes later. Another one I've been taking a lot of.
58:55K. Tron Allen, just because I, you know, he's kind of the cheap way into the Washington backfield.
59:01Yes. You know, he might be a guy that you've got to have diamond hands on for the first half of the season.
59:09But, you know, it might be worth holding. Yeah, I mean, like the Claiborne, the Allen.
59:14I'm even taking some Marshawn Lloyd with some optimism.
59:17Oh, yeah. He made it to O.K.'s healthy, which is like a huge accomplishment.
59:22Hey, if Chris Watson can do it, you know.
59:25Yeah. That's the same. They need one to Watson's doctor.
59:29It's the way to go. All right. Let's talk Michael Wilson.
59:32You know, as you and I were talking pre-show, you're pretty intrigued by him.
59:37And I'm like, I'm kind of all the way out on him.
59:41What are your thoughts there? I just think he's fascinating.
59:45It's one of the guys that you watched last year.
59:48Again, it's the thing. Well, they're not going to be throwing like that.
59:52I don't think the defense got any better. I haven't seen Marvin Harrison is a better talent.
59:58You know, what he did in college, he was drafted.
60:02But what Michael Wilson did last year was like basically Puka.
60:05He was like, you know, I think he's only second to Puka in yards in the second half of the year.
60:12I mean, he was pretty, it was pretty dominant.
60:15He had two wide receiver one weeks. Now, is he going to be great?
60:20Am I going to have a lot of him?
60:23No, but I'm not going to be right to the point where it's a rarity.
60:28Because I'm getting him at 10-2, 10-3 in the FFPC.
60:32Yeah, I'll have that. Or if Pearsall's gone and Worthy's gone, I can get him somewhere in the eighth round, late eighth in NFFC.
60:40Again, my fourth receiver. I'm in for that. Again, I don't think this team got any better on defense.
60:46Everybody, you know, they had a chance to take a really top defensive player at three.
60:52And they did. But so I just saw my eyes.
60:55Maybe it is the year three breakout for Marv.
60:58But I just watched the guy just ball out.
61:01Contested catches, route running. I don't know what the hell it was the previous two and a half years or whatever.
61:08But that was pretty damn impressive to me. Yeah.
61:11And, you know, I've definitely hit the stage where I'm not necessarily wanting to bank on Marvin Harrison Jr.
61:18Anymore. But I just, you know, which tells me that, you know what, I should be taking Michael Wilson.
61:24But on the other hand, I feel like Marvin Harrison Jr.
61:28is going to get plenty of playing time. I mean, you know, with where they took him, they've got to give him
61:35one more good season-long chance to, you know, to make something happen.
61:39And my biggest problem with Wilson is, is when Marvin Harrison is on the field, he's basically doing nothing.
61:46You know, certainly nothing worthwhile for, you know, fantasy.
61:49You know, he might get to eight or nine points, something like that.
61:53But that's not doing anybody any good. So I'm concerned.
61:57No, no, look. I think that's a very fair concern.
62:00My thing is basically, though, at the price that he is going.
62:04Yeah. You were able to see, you know, I think it's if he's your fourth receiver, that's some nice upside there.
62:11Yeah. And to be fair, his price is dropping, which is nice to see, you know, and that's putting him a little bit more on my radar.
62:20You know, like I was originally, you know, two, three, four weeks ago, I was like, you know, I just can't take Michael Wilson at all.
62:29And now I'm starting to see him drop, you know, further down the board, further down the board.
62:35And that's like, OK, well, maybe. I don't know.
62:38I mean, if you're a defensive coordinator, I think you're game planning for Marv still and taking him out.
62:45So I think that they have the other, you know, other talent on the team opens up for him.
62:51But, you know, he could clearly go back to being the Michael Wilson of Holt.
62:56Yeah. And my other worry is, you know, Jeremiah Love is going to be siphoning away a lot of targets that just weren't getting taken last year.
63:05So we'll see how it goes. I'm curious, before we get out of here, how you're feeling about those running backs who had some serious injuries last year.
63:15Cam Scadabo, Quentin Judkins, R.J. Harvey, Dobbins, Bucky Irving.
63:18Are you in on any of those guys, out on any of those guys?
63:23Where are you at? I thought I'd be out on most of them.
63:27But, I mean, Scadabo looks kind of promising here.
63:30I mean, he's never been a speed guy. Right.
63:33He's got like 50 quickness. But he's never been a speed guy.
63:37He can bow you all the time. And he looks pretty good.
63:41I mean, he was doing backflips or some crap.
63:44And, you know, I saw him running some routes in practice.
63:48Judkins looks pretty healthy to me as well from what I've seen.
63:52You know, not a doctor. I think Harvey is fine.
63:56He got hurt in the playoffs and he had the surgery.
63:59But I think Harvey's got a hit being that, you know, receiving running back.
64:04Is he going to get enough passes? Because it seems like Dobbins, that was what they said, Peyton said, was his number one priority, was getting Dobbins back.
64:14And when Dobbins has been on the field, he's always hurt.
64:17But when he plays, he's been good, solid. And who was the last guy I'm missing?
64:23Bucky. Bucky. Bucky, I am nervous about. Because they brought in Gainwell, who looked really good last year.
64:29He's going to have a role. I think they're worried about Bucky holding up.
64:34And what if he didn't get any, I don't believe he was really involved inside the five.
64:39And if that becomes Sean Tucker's role and Gainwell's got a role, I've seen Bucky be really talented.
64:45It looks really good. It just kind of like makes it more of a difficult pick.
64:51Though, if he keeps falling and falling, it makes it an easier pick.
64:55You know, you get it. Yeah. Yeah, he's another player that's been falling a good bit.
65:01But yeah, he's just tough for me to click.
65:04Because like you said, he appears to have lost the goal line role.
65:08He only had one rushing touchdown last year. You know, and Tucker looks like a much better short yardage runner.
65:15And Kenny Gainwell is really good around the goal line, too.
65:19I mean, you know, because he gives them that run pass threat.
65:23And so... And they paid Gainwell. They didn't know.
65:26It wasn't like he was cheap. Right. Exactly. You know, and the way the coaching staff is talking, you know, this is
65:33between Irving and Gainwell, this is 1A and 1B.
65:36And, you know, I think for Bucky to pay off, you really need him to be, you know, you need him to
65:44be a one and then anybody else to be a two.
65:47And I just don't think we're going to get that.
65:51So I've been more... I was absolutely hammering Gainwell for a while.
65:55But I've gotten to the point where Gainwell has kind of crept up a little bit.
66:00Bucky's kind of crept down a little bit. I'm not really taking much of either one of them right now.
66:07Sean Tucker late. Interesting for sure. I do like Rasheed White.
66:11I think that's... It's kind of funny. You did the promo video the other day.
66:16And it was Gain and him that came out.
66:19And he's getting all the talk. Look, he's not a good runner.
66:23We know that. But they want to have looks where you don't know if they're running the ball, passing the ball.
66:30Excellent blocker. Excellent pass catcher. And I think he brings a dynamic.
66:34Supposedly, he's looking really good. So he's a guy that...
66:38If you want to go in a little bit of a zero RB kind of build, I think he fits that perfectly.
66:45Yeah, definitely. I like that. One more question for you before we get you out of here.
66:51How do you feel about the Unk wide receivers?
66:54Devontae Adams and Mike Evans? Are you in on the old guys?
66:58I haven't got Evans. I do want to get some Evans.
67:02I mean, Evans showed you last year when he came back that he's not done.
67:07And he was pretty... Look, Baker wasn't right. Baker was not healthy.
67:11And you saw the frustration, especially that Thursday that came on Evans.
67:15I am in on Evans, you know, depending upon the receivers at the price and stuff.
67:20And he does fall a little. So I know my boy Steve G got him like the sixth round of one of the drafts.
67:28That's a pretty damn good price. Devontae Adams? I don't see myself taking him.
67:33I got burned last year. He was phenomenal. If he gets dusty, I think we could be seeing the Terrence Ferguson season.
67:41That would be spectacular. But I was so wrong about Devontae Adams last year.
67:45So don't listen to my advice on that one.
67:48I had a little bit of Adams last year.
67:51And it was somewhat against my will. You know, there were teams where I was, you know, with somebody else and they were like pushing strongly.
68:00You know, one of them was my old goat district partner, JD.
68:04And he was really pounding the table for Adams.
68:07So I'm like, okay, I'm going to let you have this pick.
68:11And, you know, but I want the next one.
68:14And that ended up working out pretty well. It did work out pretty damn well.
68:20Yeah, it didn't help us out in the playoffs near as much.
68:24But, you know, wow, what a, you know, speaking of hot starts and keeping you going through the regular season, that was working well.
68:32But yeah, this year I think I'm out on Adams.
68:35I mean, 34 years old. You know, he got 114 targets.
68:39I don't think he's going to get much more than that in this offense.
68:44I think, you know, it's that he's probably capped at about 120 targets.
68:48And trying to get 14 touchdowns out of 120 targets is a pretty tough ask.
68:53And then you look at his age and everything else.
68:56I mean, you know, he's aged very, very well.
68:59But he is going to turn 34 this year.
69:03I mean, I think the big winner in the draft when they took the quarterback and not like Lemon that many had
69:10speculated would be the pick is Terrence Ferguson. Yeah.
69:13He's basically like, to me, Alec Pierce playing tight end.
69:16The guy can run these routes. He's got speed.
69:19They got, what, the second round last year? And they were really high on him.
69:25So he got the rookie thing. He had a couple of games where, you know, you saw him pop.
69:31The one game, I believe, he had two touchdowns.
69:34There was another way he would have had two touchdowns, but one got pulled back.
69:39So I think he's a guy to target, you know, later on.
69:43You get a free look with him in week one, too.
69:47So. Yeah, that's a really nice feature for sure.
69:50All right, Matt. Well, I appreciate you joining me today.
69:53And we'll go ahead and get you out of here.
69:57Let everybody, all our listeners and viewers get out as well.
70:00But enjoy chopping it up with you. And I can't wait until we get the Empire fired up.
70:07Yes. We'll be away now. Yes, hopefully in a couple of weeks.
70:11And I believe it's going to drop in the lobby today.
70:14Live stream Wednesday night. Nelson and I will be doing a live stream together.
70:19And I believe Greg's putting it in the NFFC lobby today.
70:23I'll be promoting it Monday once it drops. And it should be fun.
70:27We'll start the fireworks off early for the 4th.
70:30Awesome. Love it. Love it. Love it. And remind everybody again, what's your X handle?
70:35At the Slow Gorilla. Easy enough. No spaces, no underscores or anything.
70:39Just the Slow Gorilla. Love it. All right. And for the audience, thank you for watching or listening.

70:50If you can, leave a review wherever you're consuming the show.
70:53You know, a kind word on X or whatever.
70:56But keep tuning in. And Tuesday, I'm going to have Andrew Cooper on.
71:01We're going to do a deep dive on the tight end position, among other things.
71:06And, you know, past that, I've got Jim Coventry, Jared Smola, Dwayne McFarlane, Scott Pianowski all lined up.
71:12And more joining me in the coming weeks. So we're going to have a few sharp high stakes players on like Matt as well.
71:20So make sure you're subscribed to the Player Profiler Network on YouTube and your podcast provider.
71:26Because that's where you're going to find the Dominator.
