Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveValue22:43

Applepay identifies Brian Thomas Jr. as a favorite target at cost, preferring his high-ceiling potential as a true WR1 over Parker Washington. Despite Washington's rising ADP, Applepay remains committed to Thomas due to his impressive rookie season and believes he is the key to unlocking Trevor Lawrence's offensive ceiling.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection26:51

Bryce Young is showing development in his third year. His elite processing skills are beginning to click with more reps, and with Dave Canales' influence, there is potential for the Carolina offense to exceed current low expectations.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue27:29

Applepay highlights Chris Godwin as a high-exposure target, noting he was the WR3 for most of the 2024 season before his injury. Early training camp reports show strong chemistry with Baker Mayfield, and Applepay expects Godwin to remain a focal point of the offense.

Insight page

Christian Watson

NegativeBust29:09

Christian Watson is a fade for Jeff Bell in the third/fourth round. Despite Jordan Love's efficiency, the Packers have not utilized Watson as a primary alpha receiver, and his injury history combined with a capped ceiling makes him a risky selection.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

PositiveValue27:25

Applepay targets Cortland Sutton in middle-round drafts, noting his consistent production as a WR12 last year with 1,000 yards and 7-8 touchdowns. Despite the addition of other receivers, Applepay believes Sutton will maintain his role as the primary target in a high-volume passing offense.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

NegativeUsage41:18

Dalton Schultz continues to command targets and perform his role, which complicates the path for other receivers to gain fantasy relevance.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeBust19:07

Applepay advises avoiding Davante Adams in drafts, citing declining volume in 2025 and the Rams' apparent apprehension about his 2026 outlook, evidenced by their pursuit of other wide receivers. Adams is viewed as touchdown-dependent and potentially facing a sharp, non-gradual decline typical of aging wide receivers, with retirement thoughts already surfacing.

Insight page
PositiveBust31:47

Davante Adams is viewed as touchdown-dependent, and his target volume declined last year. Jeff Bell suggests that the days of Adams being a high-level target earner may be fading, making him a questionable pick in the third or fourth round.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

PositiveValue32:06

Applepay considers Harold Fannin a high-end tight end option, viewing him as a potential elite target before the position depth drops off. He expects Fannin to command a large target share in a Browns offense that will likely be trailing often.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeValue3:29

Ja'Marr Chase is considered a top-tier elite wide receiver in the first round. While Jeff Bell ranks him behind Puka Nacua, he acknowledges that Chase is a primary target if Nacua's availability is compromised by off-field issues.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

PositiveSleeper36:37

Applepay likes Jalen Naylor as a late-round target, noting he is locked into a top-two receiver role for the Raiders. Naylor has shown strong chemistry in camp and benefits from familiarity with Kirk Cousins' scheme.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveSleeper22:32

Jameson Williams is a favorite pick in the fifth round. After finishing the second half of last season as a top-12 wide receiver, he is being drafted at the same ADP (WR25 range) as last year, offering significant value as a high-upside third receiver or flex option.

Insight page

Jayden Higgins

PositiveDepth Chart40:23

Jaden Higgins is the clear wide receiver two for his team, having solidified his role during the second half of last season and confirmed by recent camp reports.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveProjection20:38

Jaylen Waddle is an exciting target in the Sean Payton offense. Pairing him with Bo Nix in a high-volume passing attack makes him a dynamic player to target as he continues to climb in ADP.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveValue27:29

Applepay frequently drafts Jordan Addison, citing his efficiency and big-play potential. With Kyler Murray established as the starting quarterback, Applepay expects a significant boost to the Vikings' passing offense.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeRole30:26

Applepay is high on Josh Downs, citing consistent reports from the Colts that he will be integrated into two-wide receiver sets. While the potential signing of Keenan Allen presents a minor concern for target competition, Applepay believes Downs' role is secure enough to make him a strong target.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

PositiveSleeper37:43

Applepay identifies Malachi Fields as a late-round target for the Giants, projecting him as the starting X receiver. His physicality complements the team's run-blocking scheme, and he provides a big target for Jackson Dart in garbage time scenarios.

Insight page
NegativeRole38:33

Malachi Fields is a late-round target who may serve as the starting X receiver, allowing Malik Neighbors to move across the formation to avoid press coverage.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeBreakout6:57

Malik Nabers is a high-upside target who should be drafted in the middle of the second round now that he is expected to play Week 1. If he remains healthy, he could potentially enter the conversation with elite WRs like Ja'Marr Chase and CeeDee Lamb, though re-injury risk remains a concern for Jeff Bell.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveRole39:26

Malik Washington is the preferred late-round target in the Dolphins' wide receiver room because he has shown some NFL capability and is a shifty receiver who can create separation for a quarterback who needs it.

Insight page
NegativeProjection41:46

Despite being the clear top receiver in camp, there is skepticism about Malik Washington's fantasy viability because he failed to produce startable scores even when playing every down last year.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeProjection39:41

Malik Willis has improved as a passer but still needs to develop anticipation and requires receivers who can create separation to be effective.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue40:28

Nico Collins is identified as a preferred target at the top of the depth chart.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage22:46

Applepay acknowledges Parker Washington will likely lead the Jaguars in volume and is a strong play in full PPR formats. While Washington is highly efficient at getting open, Applepay notes he operates primarily in one area of the field, limiting his overall ceiling compared to Brian Thomas Jr.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveProjection3:29

Jeff Bell ranks Puka Nacua ahead of Ja'Marr Chase, noting that while potential legal issues and a possible suspension could lower his projection, he remains a locked-in first-round pick. Even with a hypothetical two-game suspension, he should not be drafted lower than fourth overall due to a significant tier break after the top four players.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveValue38:12

Applepay considers Rashad Bateman the lowest-value WR2 available in drafts, making him an attractive late-round target for roster depth.

Insight page
PositiveValue38:12

Rashad Bateman is considered one of the lowest value wide receiver twos available in drafts.

Insight page

Tank Dell

NegativeInjury40:05

Despite being a fan of his talent, there is significant concern regarding Tank Dell's ability to return to form following his major injury, making it difficult to find a path for him to be fantasy relevant.

Insight page

Tetairoa McMillan

PositiveValue24:59

Tetairoa McMillan is undervalued due to concerns about the Carolina offense and Bryce Young. His rookie season production (over 1,000 yards) is often discounted, and potential increased slot usage provides a path for him to outperform his current draft price.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveUsage27:29

Applepay targets Wan'Dale Robinson, noting his deep familiarity with Brian Daboll's offense. With Carnell Tate expected to open up the field, Applepay projects Robinson to see significant volume in the short-to-intermediate areas.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeValue18:32

Zay Flowers is a primary target for Jeff Bell in the third round. Despite a minor day-to-day injury, there is little concern regarding his status, and his ADP has been steadily climbing throughout the offseason as his 2025 performance is re-evaluated.

0:43Hello everybody, welcome on into another episode of Press Coverage where we help gain an edge in fantasy football.
0:49I'm your host as always, Wyatt Burlund. With me today, Jeff Bell.
0:52The number one ranker for the last couple of years over in the Fantasy Pros accuracy contest on wide receivers.
0:58And that's what we're here to do today. Talk about wide receivers for 2026.
1:02Jeff, how are you? I'm doing fantastic. Thank you so much for having me on.
1:06Absolutely thrilled to talk wide receivers as we are starting to get rolling into this part of the year.
1:11You know, we find out all these takes that we've been dropping.
1:15We're going to learn so much and I think it's excitement.
1:18It's anticipation. It's a little bit of dread. It's a little bit of everything.
1:22I think right now as we get football season rolling.
1:25It is so close. We're it's almost here, but we got to talk about these wide receivers first things first.
1:30I want to talk about the first round that I think has been pretty efficient, but I wanted to see if you
1:37were taking any big stands on these round one wide receivers.
1:40Yeah, I think the first round the difficulty on especially taking stands on wide receivers is just if you're drafting at volume
1:46like both of us are doing with best balls, you're only going to pull the different slots so many times.
1:52So if you're taking a stand, then you're going to become way out of balance.
1:56I think on these top players we know enough now at this point.
2:00Any one could get injured. Anyone could go down and we do expect all of these players at the very top to be elite.
2:07And so I think that it becomes difficult there.
2:09I do have Puka Nakua ranked above Jamar Chase in my rankings, but at the same time, you're running into get that
2:15one or three, you make that decision to take Puka.
2:18If you ever draw one or four, you're probably going to get Puka on that same team.
2:23So you have to counterbalance that. I think every time as you're going through the first round here, no big stands, no big fades.
2:30I do like all the wide receivers in the first round.
2:33I also have Puka ahead of Chase myself, although it did come out today that, you know, Puka may actually face some legal action.
2:40Are you factoring that in yet or it's at a wait and see situation?
2:44You know, I had, I worked all day and I saw some things pop up as getting ready to get my kids
2:50down to bed and as we get ready for the show.
2:53And that certainly will be a factor. I mean, if we know we're walking in with the suspension, we know we're walking in with something.
3:00Yeah, because I based my rankings upon projections. And if I'm just going to alter my projections, it's going to be less points for Puka Nakua.
3:08Right. All right. Let's just do a hypothetical here.
3:10Let's say it comes out. He's going to miss two games.
3:13Where would you put them in your first round?
3:16Is he still in the first round? He's still a first rounder.
3:19I think missing two games, especially if it's going to be the first two games.
3:24You're not going to take a zero there. You're going to be able to plug somebody in there.
3:29And I do if we know for sure it's two games because part of the specter is and maybe part of the
3:35reason why he's been going behind chase already is because we knew maybe something might be potentially lingering from these off the field issues that have happened here.
3:43So at some level, you get clarity. You know, it's going to be two games.
3:47You're not going to take a zero there. You're going to be filled be able to fill those in.
3:53So I mean, you're definitely taking him fourth, no higher than fourth.
3:56But it becomes really hard, I think, to move him down beyond there behind Christian McCaffrey behind Jackson Smith and Jigba just
4:02that there's that much of a tear break right now in my mind with the top four.
4:07Yeah, I think I would just, you know, break the tie to chase if that was the case.
4:12If the suspension is longer, then I think I might start thinking about actually moving him down further.
4:17Yep. All right. Next up. I keep bringing him up on almost every show because it's been a wild ride.
4:23But Malik neighbors now it seems like he could be playing week one.
4:27Where are you drafting him? Well, I'm you should be drafted in the fourth round two weeks ago is where exactly.
4:33Exactly. But I mean, I was definitely loading up on him every opportunity I got when he was we saw him landing late round three into round four.
4:41And there are some there's some really fun teams out there with like neighbors where I saw I was able to get him landing late round four.
4:48And so you kind of start your draft with that top four that we already started talking about those guys at the
4:55two, three turn and then you throw Malik neighbors in there as well.
4:58Right now, I think actionable with him being a first round or a week one available player.
5:03You're looking at probably the middle of that second round and kind of doing that dance with where those running backs fall
5:09off because that there is that sharp tier where once Chase Brown wants Derek Henry or off the board, then you're kind
5:16of scrambling a little bit for what running back you might want to take.
5:20You're looking at Drake London there. You're kind of looking Brock Bowers ends up in that zone.
5:24I think Malik neighbors probably leading that pack right now.
5:27But if we get further clarity, we know 100% for sure he's going to be good to go.
5:32I mean, you got to start to put him in the conversation probably with Jamar Chase with CD lamb because a full
5:39season of Malik neighbors at the volume that we've seen.
5:42He's going to be maybe even threatening. Maybe he should be the fifth player off the board.
5:46I went from being like really optimistic about what a season could be even through the injury to I don't know, maybe
5:53just being a little bit apprehensive about how much further I want to push him up now.
5:57Like I think middle of second round is appropriate.
6:00Currently him starting week one. Like I still think we have to have a little bit of worry.
6:05Like is there re injury happening? That's I mean, that really that's my full concern.
6:09I mean like starting slow. I think that's fine.
6:12Like no big deal as long as he's peaking, you know, into the middle of the season and towards the end of the season.
6:19Like that's fine. You know, we do we need him for the end of the season.
6:23I guess my main concern of why I'm like, I don't know if I'll ever get him all the way to the
6:30first round or it being a conversation is just risk of re injury for me.
6:34Yeah, I hear you there. And that's what we've run into both of the last two years because had we gotten if
6:40we got a full run out the way that we've seen him utilize at that target share, I think he'd probably be
6:46the dynasty one wide receiver one right now and maybe without question and we would be taking him again in that top four that top five.
6:54Yeah, I think you know, even in dynasty if he never took an injury never had that injury.
6:59Is he just like the one on one even like I mean, even in super flex like I think that's a real conversation.
7:05It would be a real conversation for sure. I mean, you'd be right there with we've seen Dymacy shift a little bit
7:12now with these running backs coming back in about cows and having John Robinson having Jameer Gibbs at the stage of their career that they're at.
7:19I think that a couple years ago. I mean, I remember remember doing startups like two or three years ago and the
7:25top 10 would all be quarterbacks of super flex.
7:28And now you kind of get a smattering all over the board.
7:31But absolutely from what we've seen when he's been active and healthy.
7:35And you especially consider to some level we feel better about the quarterback situation maybe than we've ever had at any point in his career.
7:42And so I think that without those injuries stacking on top of it, we'd already be talking about him having multiple top
7:48five wide receiver seasons to start his career. Yeah, everybody, we're going to take a quick second to hear about the breakout final.
7:55Then we come back. We're talking more wide receivers moving down the ADP.
7:58We've got lots of players to talk about. It was many years ago at this point that Nate List said, hey, we
8:05should do an AI system that pulls all this data on prospects and actually calculates the probability, the most precise probability that
8:11any given prospect wide receiver running back is going to break out.
8:14So we did it. It's called the breakout finder.
8:17It's in the App Store. It's on Google Play.
8:19It's five bucks for this year's class. Next year's class is just every year.
8:23It's five bucks to know the most precise probability that any given player is going to break out as well as additional
8:30breakout finder specific metrics like dynamic score, teammate score.
8:32If you're trying to build a super team in Dynasty, you just want to do well in your rookie draft.
8:38There is no better use of $5 in the breakout finder.
8:41This message is brought to you by Apple Card.

9:34Let us know how we're doing, what you think about these wide receivers.
9:38Jeff, before we get into these players, what have you been working on?
9:41Right now, we are doing training camp reports for football guys.
9:44Those really just went live the full batch of week of the first version.
9:48I don't want to say week one because it's been two weeks now of camp, but I'm covering the Ravens, the Falcons, the Rams, and the Chargers.
9:56So, I spend a lot of time on each of those teams, reading every camp report from each day that's come out,
10:02compiling and pulling the most useful nuggets out of that.
10:05That takes up a lot of my time. The Dynasty Show.
10:08I'm hosting the Dynasty Show. And then, I do a show as well weekly with my friend Dave Kluge.
10:14We're going to be doing a show Mondays with our friend Joey Wright and Dave Kluge.
10:18And then, on Friday mornings, Dave and I will be doing our matchup preview that we do every single week.
10:24I'll be doing the Football Guys DFS show as we get the season rolling.
10:28And then, the Audible Live with Matt Waldman. So, I end up doing a lot of different things.
10:33Yeah, that is quite a lot. Love to hear it.
10:36All right. More wide receivers. So, there's been this kind of like round three to four pocket wide receivers that's kind of
10:42been created because a lot of what's happening in ADP this year is people are loading up on running backs in the first couple rounds.
10:49Because the way the running backs are this year where there's less Belkow profile, the middle round isn't as strong as it used to be.
10:56The late round is really weak. So, people are loading up with the running backs and it creates this pocket wide receivers
11:03in round three to four where there's a lot of really nice profiles there at the position.
11:07Is there anyone in that pocket that you really, really like that you're really targeting?
11:12Zay Flowers is one that I have been hammering pretty hard as we get through round three.
11:17I like Zay Flowers there. I do weigh that a lot that you mentioned with that running backs because the last couple
11:23of years I've been hitting running backs because everybody's been going zero RB basically.
11:27And so, you can hammer get four or five really strong running backs.
11:30And so, I've been still hitting Brees Hall as we move through there.
11:34Josh Jacobs, obviously now we've got some concerning news there about Josh Jacobs coming out.
11:38But I'd say Zay Flowers would be my top target throughout that group.
11:42Obviously, we know this past weekend he picked up the injury supposed to be day to day.
11:47The Ravens are one of the team that I cover and there didn't seem to be too much concern about that injury.
11:53I do feel like I struggle a little bit more with the guys like Chris Lave with Devonta Smith simply.
11:59I don't know about you, but for me it's like the year starts to run together a little bit and it's like
12:05I remember seventh round, eighth round Chris Lave very fondly.
12:08And so, it would be my third round pick.
12:11It's like a little bit of, eh, do I want to go there?
12:14But I think it's, I have been hitting the running backs pretty hard through there.
12:19Zay Flowers is one of my favorite players this entire offseason I've been drafting him.
12:23Speaking to like missing where their cost was, like Zay Flowers wasn't always here.
12:27Like he's been steadily climbing throughout the offseason. More and more people kind of like reexamined that 2025 season and what it looks like moving forward in 2026.
12:35Really big fan of him. I also want to throw out one that's been climbing up now in this range and is continuing to climb Jalen Waddle.
12:42I really liked his move to Denver. I'm excited to see what Sean Payton does with him and pairing him up with Bo Nix.
12:49You know, that has been a team that's kind of been like there's one wide receiver and some rotations going around.
12:55Having that one wide receiver be a dynamic player like Jalen Waddle in a Sean Payton offense seems pretty exciting to me.
13:01Yeah, I will. My Denver wide receivers are my answer to another question that we're going to get to here on the sheet.
13:08But I do am I. I like a Buka and I like Mecca Buka there and I like Tedaro McMillan as well.
13:14Looking at these year two, these year three wide receivers that ready to break out.
13:19I think in really kind of as you're going through that third round, fourth round, I think that's really what you're looking
13:25for is the young player that is going to be a first round pick next year potentially or the player that for
13:31whatever reason hasn't quite arrived up to be that next range, but is within that range of outcomes that they could take
13:37another step forward with where their team situation is breaking or where they might land in their career development.
13:43But while it was a good call out there.
13:45I mean, we know Denver's high high pass volume.
13:48Absolutely. It kind of he falls that he doesn't really fit in this round three four pocket but round five Jameson Williams
13:54is one of my favorite clicks in round five because it that really to me feels like if you start to you
14:00it's kind of the last point before like if you're on a map and like over here is like there be monsters
14:07like basically unknown terrain like Jameson Williams. I feel like it's kind of the last stopping off point as you're moving through
14:13those wide receivers as it starts to get a little bit iffy below that and he's a player.
14:18I wrote a spotlight on him on football guys earlier this offseason.
14:21He's been a player. I was really in on him last year.
14:25Basically, the first half of the year was not fun last year.
14:28The last half of the year the full year.
14:31He was a top 12 wide receiver wide receiver one and you're still getting him at the exact same ADP that you
14:37got him last year where he's sitting kind of that wide receiver 25 range.
14:41I love being able to finish off a wide receiver core and as with him as my third receiver or if I
14:47do one running back and hit wide receivers throughout and the kind of sprinkle him on top as that flex or as
14:54that high value third wide receiver in those builds.
14:56Yeah, we're in sync a lot on these players.
14:59I really like the Jameson Williams call. I've been drafting a lot of him and I love calling out Tetra McMillan because
15:05you know, I see, you know, some complaints about like what can he really break out even further with Bryce Young in this Carolina offense.
15:12I'm like, man, I just I go back to the prospect profile, which I thought was really, really good.
15:17He has a great rookie season goes over a thousand yards in what was already really bad situation bad QB right and
15:24it almost like discounts any possibility of him getting better as a player.
15:27The things that they want to do for him like they talked about getting him more in the slot this year some
15:34more easy button stuff because he can do that too.
15:36It's like I don't know like I feel like it's already baked into his price that he plays with Bryce Young and
15:43like if any of any of that gets better like we're getting a real discount on McMillan.
15:48And that's a really good point. And that's so that's really kind of the profiles that I love to look for of
15:54basically have we decided something that we could just be really wrong on.
15:57And if we're basically drafting a player at their floor where we could be really wrong on this situation and the ceiling is that much higher.
16:05Those are the types of players that I like to target.
16:08And that's what I'm looking through and moving through.
16:11And Bryce Young is a player. I've been thinking a lot about Bryce Young as camps open because the reports on him have been pretty glowing.
16:18And looking at him the type of player because you think so often the type of quarterbacks that have immediate success or early success.
16:25Basically Bryce Young doesn't have a physical trait to be able to erase mistakes.
16:29So his physical trait is his best elite skill is his processing and the development and knowing what the defense is going to do.
16:36He did that at a high high level at Alabama.
16:38That's the type of trait that it's going to take reps.
16:42It's going to take some time at the NFL level for that to click in now being in year three.
16:47Dave canal is there and not having, you know, he's obviously the Taylor opposite, the complete opposite end of the spectrum of Josh Allen, where Josh Allen early.
16:55He could make the decision late, but his arm could erase it because his arm was right or he could run and do different things.
17:02Bryce Young needs to have that perfect read to start out to be able to work the play to the best of his extent.
17:09And it does seem to me like he's finally getting there on reps where he's seen enough now where he can make
17:15that mental adjustment before the snap and be able to make the right call before the snap.
17:20And so I think the thought that Bryce Young is going to be locked as this guy that is throwing for 150 yards every week.
17:27I mean, as you see development from Ted O'Reilly McMillan, as we see Jalen Coker healthy for a full season and developing there.
17:34And as Bryce Young, that mental processing clicks in like there, there's a lot of direction in that Carolina offense that we
17:40could just be wrong in in the best way.
17:43Yeah, absolutely. Now, on the flip side of things, is there anybody in this pocket of wide receivers that you're fading?
17:49Yeah, so I'm fading Christian Watson out of this pocket.
17:52And I think a lot of it, it's we were kind of doing the thing, I think, with Green Bay offense where
17:58it's the let Russ cook a little bit out of it, where I think Jordan Love is a good quarterback.
18:03And the numbers are fantastic for Jordan Love, but Jordan Love is doing exactly what Jordan Love is asked to do.
18:09And so often, I think what we see when there's high efficiency or those types of things, we want to wish cast
18:16and project more volume because like, just let him do it more.
18:19Sure, because it works great. And then I think more often than not, when we see that, it doesn't really work quite so well.
18:26And I think the other thing that we're running into, obviously, we know Romeo Dubs is gone.
18:31We know Matthew Golden fell flat on his face last year as a rookie.
18:35And so it's like one of those things we want to project Christian Watson to be this primary alpha receiver that Green
18:41Bay has never said that they wanted to have a primary alpha receiver.
18:45And I think the early returns have kind of come back back that Watson is basically with Christian Watson.
18:50He's 27 years old. He's kind of just doing Christian Watson things for the Packers.
18:54We know the injury concerns there already. And so it's almost the opposite argument of like the Tedaro McMillan, where there's like
19:01unlimited potential if everything were to work right. It feels more like Christian Watson's a player that's sitting at a ceiling.
19:07I think Devontae Adams, I love the Rams offense.
19:09I love everything about it. I think the goal line, all that stuff is not going to really fade out.
19:15But at the same time, I mean, it's a player.
19:18The volume was down last year. If we're going to go off projections and you're going to have Puka Nakua as your
19:24number one receiver, that comes from somewhere. And so I think that the days of Devontae Adams being a high level target
19:30earner might be out a little bit. Now, you know, the news that you've already mentioned with Puka Nakua, that might shoot
19:36him up the board a little bit. But for me, you're seeing a player there that's really, really touchdown dependent.
19:42And I don't know that I love that in the third, fourth round wide receiver profile.
19:47Yeah, the one wide receiver that like as we get into this area, the draft that I've been avoiding big time is Devontae Adams.
19:54So I'm glad you brought him up because I think the Rams kind of told us that we should be fading him.
20:00We know that they were in on trading for a wide receiver.
20:03They were looking into it. They were in on A.J.
20:06Brown before they decided they didn't like the medicals enough for the future that they wanted out.
20:11They were linked to first round wide receivers before the draft.
20:14And those seem to be credible reports. So maybe I mean, like I think they were trying to tell us like we
20:20they think it's going like they were able to get out everything that they could from Devontae Adams in 2025.
20:26But they're at least apprehensive about if they can get that again in 2026.
20:30So I'm worried. Yeah. And so, again, I covered the Rams and I covered the Ravens.
20:34And it was really interesting because the retirement topic came up for both Devontae Adams and Derrick Henry.
20:40And Derrick Henry, when he was asked about retirement, he was basically like, why would I retire?
20:44This is so much fun. I love doing this.
20:47Such an animal. And Devontae Adams, when he was asked about retirement, he's kind of like, yeah, I mean, I've been thinking about it.
20:54And like it's either going to be this year or next year.
20:57And I do tend to think that especially at the NFL level, football is such a game that you just got to
21:03be on the edge of insanity like every single moment.
21:06And it seems more often than not, if self-preservation, if any of that thought starts to creep into a player's mind, we
21:13see these wide receivers, especially you see these wide receivers.
21:15It's not a gradual decline. It's like falls off the face of the earth, basically.
21:20And that's always really tough for you. Think about two years ago, three years ago, where Tyreek Hill was viewed and Tyreek Hill.
21:26Obviously, I know there was a big injury, but I mean, Tyreek Hill, it's like over.
21:31Julio Jones was another one of those players where Julio Jones, it just felt like going to roll forever.
21:36And it's over. DeAndre Hopkins, player that, yeah, DeAndre Hopkins is going to do DeAndre Hopkins things.
21:41And then like the next year, it was just done.
21:44And I mean, we're I'm not saying that we're there for Devonta Adams, but I'm saying that more often than not, father time wins.
21:51And you do end up with one of those years.
21:54Yeah, it's so true that especially I think at wide receiver, it's just so very true.
21:58The great players, they're great until they're not. And there's just like you'll get like a little nugget the year before that kind of points to it happening.
22:06You got to find it. And with Devonta Adams, I think it might have been the Rams telling us.
22:11I like to think back of like Allen Robinson with a little bit of a corollary here for the Rams as well,
22:18where it was like his last year in Chicago was not great, but we just kind of blamed it on the offense and the QB.
22:25But then he gets to the Rams and he's nothing.
22:28And it's like, oh, that was actually the sign that he was on.
22:31He was on the decline and the fall off was happening.
22:34All right. Jaguars. Obviously, there's been plenty of discussion about their wide receivers this offseason.
22:39I want to know who is your favorite wide receiver from the Jaguars at cost.
22:43My favorite wide receiver at cost is Brian Thomas Jr.
22:46And that's not to say that I do think that Parker Washington is volume for sure.
22:50I think Parker Washington is going to lead in volume.
22:53But I do think we're starting to see a little bit of separation between Parker Washington and Brian Thomas, at least what
23:00I've seen in the last handful of drafts where Parker Washington's starting to nudge up into that fifth round a little bit more.
23:06And Brian Thomas is starting to slide a little bit more.
23:09I talked about this last week on the show with Dave, but I look at it as like, what does what does Jacksonville want to be?
23:17What does Jacksonville want Trevor Lawrence to be? What do they want their overall ceiling to be offensively?
23:22And to me, the highest outcome ceiling would be Brian Thomas Jr.
23:25realizing his potential, being that true number one receiver that's being utilized all over the field.
23:30Whereas I think Parker, Parker Washington, it's I like him a lot.
23:33And I was one of the first people that really liked Parker Washington.
23:37I mean, there's tweets out there that indicate as such, but it's like a struggle target to some regard.
23:42I think where like Parker Washington, yes, he's able to get open like every single time, but he's, he's operating in one really main area of the field.
23:50And it's kind of the same area of the field that Everett Ingram had a really good year with, with Trevor Lawrence there.
23:57And so the Brian Thomas realizing his out, his overall up upside and outcome.
24:01That's also leads into Trevor Lawrence realizing his overall ceiling as his quarterback that we all were really excited about.
24:06And to some regard of, do you want to push Trevor Lawrence?
24:10Do you want to develop Brian Thomas or are you comfortable kind of getting through and letting Parker Washington be that guy?
24:16I think in full PPR, Parker Washington's probably definitely the play, but I think in half PPR and overall at cost, I still, I mean, Brian Thomas Jr.
24:24is a player that we were drafting in the first round last year coming off that rookie season.
24:29And to get him in the sixth, when their wide receivers are really starting to fall off there as some regard, it's
24:35that same conversation is that Tedaro McMillan of, if you were to realize the overall potential ceiling of Brian Thomas, he's a player.
24:42Again, we were drafting in the first round last summer.
24:45To your point, using the four, four, four, four multi-site ADP that averages out the ADP for players across every platform.
24:51Parker Washington has passed Brian Thomas Jr. And is now being drafted ahead of him across the fancy football landscape.
24:56I have been on Brian Thomas Jr. The most out of this room.
25:00A lot of it is just, I cannot get past that rookie season and how great it was.
25:05You know, once you show me something like that, like maybe I'll just be chased that dragon ever since, you know, ever,
25:11but it was just too good for me to give up on a profile like Brian Thomas Jr.
25:17Now, as the summer's gone along, I've been buying more into what Parker Washington can do.
25:21I definitely buying into some of the narrative that, you know, Liam Cohen slot wide receivers is something you want to buy into.
25:28I think a lot of times with stuff like that, we try to draw that line too much where it's like, well,
25:34this coach did this with this player. And it's like, well, maybe that was that player.
25:38Not necessarily, you know, like the coach is always going to do that.
25:42They're crafting an offense around the players they had.
25:45So I'm not sure it's always going to work that way.
25:48But like Parker Washington was doing that at the end of the Jaguars wide receivers at the end of the year there.
25:54And like, it wasn't just he was doing that.
25:57It was no one else was coming close to what he was doing at the end of the season.
26:02So I am buying into that some. But like if we got 90th percentile outcomes from Brian Thomas Jr.
26:07and Parker Washington, I think the Brian Thomas Jr.
26:10one is better. So I'm betting I'm betting on that.
26:13Well, and it's funny, too, because the the reports are leading to people to go direction.
26:17Like everything is it's like Parker Washington's found money.
26:20So everything about Parker Washington, it's just great, basically.
26:23But then it's you'll see these reports where it'll be like Parker Washington, first one in the building, Parker Washington doing all this stuff.
26:29Parker Washington is awesome. And then it's like a bullet point where it's like Brian Thomas was the team MVP of the offseason.
26:36Yeah, I love you know, that's one of those things we talk about so much.
26:40It doesn't matter how many times we say stuff like this.
26:43But like you should really just kind of shut your eyes and ears for a lot of training camp in the offseason
26:50because so much of it is noise. And like we kind of just like come back around to things what you were
26:56saying in the very beginning of the offseason. But yeah, it's funny to go through that.
27:00Now, we're getting into the middle rounds of drafts.
27:03Once we get there, there tends to be a lot of running or quarterbacks and tight ends this year.
27:08The way is kind of lined up and ends up being almost like a dead zone for wide receivers where there's not
27:15a lot of profiles to really look at. But is there anybody in that kind of general area of the draft that
27:21you're looking at and you're actually targeting if you need a wide receiver?
27:25So my highest exposure players in that area, Cortland Sutton is one of my highest exposures.
27:29Chris Godwin is one of my higher exposures. Jordan Addison and then Wanda Robinson are kind of the players that I'm hitting
27:35throughout that range because I think all I mean, Addison, we know what Addison is.
27:40But at the same time, the big play potential is there.
27:43Kyler Murray is now the starting quarterback for sure.
27:45And so I think that upside of that Vikings offense where you're looking at that tier of players, it's going to like
27:52Wanda is kind of that last checkpoint where it's going to be really if he falls off of there.
27:57Jayden Higgins is another player in that range that I do like.
28:00But then Sutton, I think I know your point on Jalen Waddell.
28:04I kind of see Denver as just leave Sutton, do what Sutton can do, which we know is was a wide receiver
28:1012 last year, thousand yards the last couple of seasons, seven, eight touchdowns in one of the highest passing volumes.
28:16And then having these different players, these other Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims and Pat Bryant.
28:20Pat Bryant is one of the stars of training camp, and maybe he would have solidified himself into three wide receiver sets or even two wide receiver sets.
28:28But Jalen Waddell can absorb a lot of the Troy Franklin was doing this one specific job and Marvin Mims is doing
28:34this one specific job and Pat Bryant's doing this job.
28:37And so I think you can have Jalen Waddell kind of be that amalgamation, putting all those other pieces together and be
28:44the number one receiver while still having Parker or not Parker, Court and Sutton do Court and Sutton things.
28:49And so I think the value on Sutton I've liked quite a bit there.
28:53Godwin is a player that I've been. We know.
28:56I mean, it was not as serious as it seemed to be, but Jalen McMillan picking up that injury.
29:01But it's the things that I've seen out of Tampa is basically it was a live session.
29:06And Baker Mayfield threw eight passes. Chris Godwin caught six of them.
29:09It's like basically the way that like the reports have been early.
29:13And so I think that Godwin, I mean, as much as that injury was really debilitating, we know that prior to that
29:19injury, he was the wide receiver three in fantasy for most of the 2024 season before that injury.
29:24And so Baker Mayfield going into being very motivated, looking for a contract this year.
29:28I think the comfort level is going to be there on Godwin as they work some of the other pieces in.
29:34And so I like that value on Godwin as well.
29:37So Wandale is a player that he knows Brian Dale's offense better than any other player.
29:42I do. I like Cam Ward quite a bit.
29:44I think Cam Ward's going to click and figure it out a little bit here.
29:48And he was a lot better the second half of last year than he was the first half.
29:54And I think Waddle, you're not Waddle, but Wandale, you're going to see the big playability from Carnell Tate is going to
30:00open things up a lot where Wandale is going to be that guy that lives with a lot of volume underneath and in immediate areas.
30:07Godwin and Addison are two that I've been drafting a lot this offseason.
30:11Addison specifically, like, I mean, he's just been always been so good, like, and really efficient as a player, as wide receiver.
30:17And it's just like, well, they have a QB again.
30:20So I'm excited. One that I want to throw in here for sure is Josh Downs, who just loved the player ever
30:26since he was a prospect coming in NFL. It's just been a matter of snaps and routes, right?
30:31And it finally seems like it's going to happen.
30:34Like, this is one of those where, yeah, we always think like, oh, of course they'll move him into two wide receiver sets because he's good, right?
30:41And it doesn't happen. But like the Colts have talked over and over and over again this offseason about how they're that's
30:48the plan is for that to happen. They think Josh Downs can do it.
30:52And it's like when when that kind of report comes out from camp, like one or two times, like take with a grain of salt.
30:59But like the Colts have said it over and over and over.
31:02It really makes me believe it. And then another player, which he may not be in this area, depending on the platform
31:08you're on in this area, water shooters we're talking about.
31:11But Casey Concepcion, I swear it's not just because I'm a Browns fan, but he was one of my favorite prospects at cost coming into the NFL.
31:19I thought he was a very worthy of being a first round pick.
31:23I know kind of coming into the NFL draft, like there was talk if he was going to be a first or second.
31:29I was like, this is a first round prospect for sure.
31:32I like all his ball and hand stuff. Basically, I think the only not really knock on him was that his hands were kind of inconsistent.
31:40And I thought he was a player where like there's two two ways to be inconsistent.
31:44I think with your hands and one of them is worrisome and one of them is not.
31:49One is like if you're using a clapping technique, that worries me.
31:52Right. Because or if you're letting like coming to your body like that worries me.
31:57But if it's just like concentration issues, like some time on the jugs, I think you can get there.
32:02And I think that's the case for Casey Concepcion and Harold Fannin is there.
32:06And he's obviously is going to have a large target share.
32:09But I really think that's possible that this Browns offense could kind of condense around Casey Concepcion, Harold Fannin.
32:15I know Denzel Boston's blowing up training camp right now, but he's projected to be the X.
32:19I don't know how much of his role on the team will be a target dominant role.
32:24And this team that's probably be pretty bad have to be in a passing situation pretty often.
32:29So I think that we could get some garbage time there for him.
32:33You you mentioned the reasons why Concepcion is a player that I have a lower exposure on.
32:38Simply, I do like Harold Fannin quite a bit.
32:40And as you're moving through tight ends, it does seem to be me.
32:44Now we've got some positive reports about George Kittle potentially week one.
32:47But to me, it feels like a it's like Fannin and Kittle kind of like sitting there as like your last stop
32:54to be able to grab a potential elite high end tight end before you're really starting to wade into.
32:59I mean, best ball, you can get away with it a lot more, obviously, because the best score is going to play
33:05on building a tight end room that way. But Fannin, I do think that the struggle target is going to be there
33:11in an offense that is going to be trailing and probably struggling overall.
33:15But as we get into talking about later on, wide receivers, Boston as well.
33:19And what's going to happen with Jared Judy, where Jared Judy is just so, so, so late.
33:24And it's like either he's not going to be a Brown and he's going to be a starting receiver somewhere.
33:30But this is a guy that had 1200 yards in 2024.
33:33Like this is a guy that lit it up just not that long ago.
33:37And he's completely left for dead. And so as the offseason has kind of come on, I grabbed the conception quite a bit in May or so.
33:44But now it's like I find myself leaving a spot open for either Boston or Judy at the back end.
33:50Or I end up taking Harold Fannin and doubling up on Harold Fannin in case he conception feels a little bit scary in that regard.
33:57But I do want to talk about Downs because there's so Shane Steichen was with Keenan Allen in, I think, maybe San
34:04Diego, but definitely the charters wherever they were at the time.
34:07And there's been plenty of rumors there. And we know the injury, the does not sound good for Alec Pierce anytime soon.
34:13I worry about two different angles on that. They bring Allen in.
34:16You look at Keenan Allen. You look at Downs and you look at Tyler Warren all operating largely in the same level of the field.
34:23And then the other part of it is if you don't have Alec Pierce, who is one of the best field stretchers
34:30in the league, do they have any other field stretcher on that that lineup?
34:34Or is it all going to be the defense sitting 17 guys down on the boxes, smother these short intermediate routes and also stop Jonathan Taylor?
34:41Because there's no fear at all of anybody beating them vertically.
34:44Yeah, they're all very good points. It's something that I've pondered a lot.
34:48And the part of the reason why I'm a little bit off on Jonathan Taylor in the first round is because I
34:54think the defenses are going to condense down on him because of all these concerns.
34:58And Keenan Allen coming in, it is a little bit of concern.
35:02There's no way it's not a concern, especially after what he did to Ladd McConkie in 2025.
35:07One note that separates it a little bit for me is that last year on the Chargers, there's Quinton Johnson, there's Trey Harris.
35:13There's these wide receivers that are actual good players in the NFL that can play outside and do all these different things.
35:19Whereas the Colts right now, they signed Keenan Allen.
35:22Alec Pierce might miss time. And then there is nobody.
35:25They have to still have Josh Downs on the field, even if they sign Keenan Allen in some way.
35:30So it's a little bit less of concern for me in 2026.
35:34But it is a valid concern. And honestly, probably the only thing that's keeping Josh Downs from blowing up ADP right now.
35:40Because Josh Downs is one of those players that the entire fantasy community has loved for a long time.
35:45So we want every reason to pump him up the ADP so he would be if we could.
35:50So, yeah, I bet if like, you know, Keenan Allen signed somewhere else, I bet we see Josh Downs rise at least
35:57another round or two before the season or offseason ends.
36:00All right. Late round wide receivers. You already mentioned a couple.
36:03Do you want to get into them more or do you have some more late round wide receivers to add?
36:08I've got a lot of late round wide receivers that probably won't end up doing anything, but I do.
36:14I was Mike Sanda. He's I know he's a Browns fan, too.
36:17And we joke online of basically it seems like every team we draft is either a Boston team or a Judy team.
36:23But we just end up kind of hitting those guys late there because to me, it's like the perfect sprinkle of the
36:30seventh wide receiver is into a squad is Denzel Boston or Jared Judy.
36:33Jalen Naylor is a player that I like in with the Raiders.
36:37I mean, it's other than we know Brock Bowers is going to do Brock Bowers things and have a commanding target share.
36:43I think Jalen Naylor and Trey Tucker from every report I've seen are pretty well locked into the top two receivers there
36:49with Malik Benson kind of as that third receiver because they bring a lot of speed able to stretch the field and open up the game for Bowers.
36:57Naylor from what I've seen indications are Naylor's doing very, very well in camp.
37:01He's a player. He grew up in Las Vegas.
37:04They targeted him immediately when free agency opened and went out and brought him in their comfort level with Kirk Cousins and
37:10some familiarity overlapping schemes with what happened when Minnesota Kevin O'Connell.
37:13So there's a lot to kind of, I think, Naylor fitting naturally with Cousins.
37:17Keishon Boutte really, really late is a player that I like taking a chance on.
37:21Caleb Douglas from Miami. We've had really, really positive drumbeat reports on Caleb Douglas there.
37:26There's somebody who's going to have to be catching passes in Miami.
37:29Dejan Stribbling was a player that I was taking.
37:32He's kind of shot up the board a little bit now and starting to move out of that range.
37:37And then Malachi Fields from the Giants is a player that I like as well in that later round range.
37:43He fits. I think the Giants are going to run the ball a lot, but Fields, I think physicality fits with the run blocking.
37:50And it changes a little bit probably with Malik Neighbors eating up so much of the target share.
37:55But to me, Fields, the biggest knock on Fields was separation.
37:58But I feel like the Giants, it's like almost, we know Jackson Dart's going to hold the ball and try to run and create things.
38:05And Fields is that type of player that can present late as a big target opening up.
38:10Jacoby Lane is a riser out of the Ravens.
38:12I think Rashad Bateman is about the lowest value wide receiver two you can possibly get in drafts.
38:17There's a lot of guys that in the back end that I'm telling myself happy stories about and why I'm filling my back into my roster with them.
38:25I've dabbled in all the Ravens possibilities for their wide receiver two at this point in like the last rounds of best ball drafts and stuff like that.
38:33I've also dabbled in the Malachi Fields in the last round.
38:37I think like he's probably their starting X because it just allows Malik Neighbors to move across the formation and escape from press coverage.
38:43Not that he's bad at press coverage. Like he's, Neighbors can be press coverage, no problem.
38:48But you'd rather have him not because it's just easier, you know.
38:51And at this point in like in literally like round 18, like best ball drafts, like finding someone who's going to be
38:58on the field that much is just hard to find.
39:00Like I don't know if it's going to equate to points, but like we've solved the first part of the problem.
39:06Like he's going to be playing, you know. I was going to ask you about Miami because I agree.
39:12Like I kind of just want to take shots on them like at the end of drafts and best ball drafts specifically
39:18because like I think someone's going to come out of it.
39:21It's possible that it's just so spread out that none of them really ascend to anything relevant.
39:26But like I, the one I've landed on the most is Malik Washington just because he's at least shown a little bit of something in the NFL.
39:34And I think he's a nice shifty wide receiver and can get some separation for a quarterback who I think needs a little bit.
39:41Like I think that Malik Willis has improved a lot as a passer since he's gotten in the NFL.
39:46But I also think he has a lot of work to do and I'm not sure that he's as much of a
39:52throw with anticipation type of quarterback yet. And I think he needs a little bit of a wide receiver who can actually create some of that separation.
40:00I do want to ask you about another player who I just can't help myself right now.
40:05And that's Tank Dell because I'm, I'm really fallen for him being healthy.
40:08I mean, he, he, he legitimately looks pretty darn good in everything that I've seen, but he's coming from this crazy injury.
40:15Like there's, there's still part of me in the back of my mind.
40:18Like, can he ever actually be good again? But I'm starting to fall for it.
40:23How do you feel about Dell? So I mentioned Jaden Higgins briefly, but I'm, I'm more on Higgins and packing the situation
40:29that way or Collins at the top because we did really did see.
40:33I think we saw the second half of last year, Jaden Higgins really start to step up and solidify himself as the
40:39wide receiver to their, every report I've read indicates that Higgins is the clear wide receiver to there.
40:44I think that jail Noel Noel will play some and kind of see some schemed usage.
40:48And I guess I'm probably on the approach of like, I absolutely love the story of Dell and I'm cheering so, so hard for Tank Dell.
40:56I loved liked him a lot as a rookie and the rookie guy coming out of Houston and like for him to
41:02get back out and make NFL plays. It would be the borderline miracle because his career was basically declared over.
41:08And so I'm cheering really hard for Dell, but I think that Higgins is kind of the player that I want there.
41:14And obviously Nico Collins for sure is the player that I want there.
41:18Dalton Schultz ends up doing Dalton Schultz things as much as we would much rather it be the, the fun receivers out there.
41:24And so I really kind of start to struggle to have a path for Dell just to get him out on the
41:31field would be a major win for him to become fantasy relevant.
41:34And on top of that, I think is, is like, eh, there's some other shots here that I'm taking late.
41:40But, um, the point on the dolphins there with, I, I, yes, I think Malik Washington is going to be their leading receiver.
41:46I struggle, I struggle with, like, we saw him like in every down player last year, once Tyreek Hill went out.
41:52And I don't know if there was one single week where he had a starting startable score.
41:57And so I feel like I really struggle with that on Washington, but I mean, they've got to have somebody there.
42:03And I guess I, I could probably defer to Douglas there simply because you look at red zone, you look at hitting a big play deep.
42:10I don't feel like Malik Willis is going to be the type of player that's going to volume a receiver into relevance.
42:17It's going to be more like it hit the big play here and Douglas gets loose on a 45 yard touchdown.
42:23And that hits the back of my lineup as opposed to like Malik, Malik Washington doing his, like he's caught five balls
42:29for 45 yards and it's like eight points. Okay.
42:31Well, all right. But yeah, I do. I like Washington, but it's like seeing it in action last year, not really clicking
42:38in the reports that I've read said that he's been the clear top receiver in camp there.
42:43And so you do there, they're a lot like the Titans last year.
42:46I think where they've got these wide receivers and they'll smatter them out there and you'll see like, you know, last year
42:52we were talking ourselves and I like a minor.
42:55We're talking to Mary DK sitting there and it's like, well, it's gotta be somebody.
42:59And the, somebody was, they realized they didn't have receivers and they went out and got Colonel Tate and Wondale Robinson.
43:05Yeah. Well, Jeff, I really appreciate you joining me here today.
43:08Before we get out of here though, remind everybody where to find you and find all your work.
43:14Yeah. You can find everything on football guys. You can find me on socials at for whom day bell tolls.
43:19But again, I do during the season, I think five or six shows a week through football guys, the, the, the dynasty
43:25show, the dynasty channel, the fantasy football channel on YouTube as well.
43:29And then written content, I do end up writing like five or six articles per week too.
43:34And so I get really busy during football season.
43:36And, and so we're ramping up there, but right now training camp reports the show with Dave on the fantasy show.
43:42And then myself hosting the football guys dynasty show.
