0:00What is good? We're back and we've done the backfields we love and now we are going to hit the backfields we hate.
0:07You know, these are going to be backfields that the competition is a little more open on or ambiguous if you will.
0:14I've got Shev, I've got Jeremiah, we've got the Fantasy Power Thrupple ready to dissect some backfields here.
0:20Now again, this is going to be a little bit more pointed towards redraft for, you know, coming into the season, but
0:26we'll also think about the backfields we love. We'll throw the Dynasty lens on how we view these backfields because that would
0:33be a little different for some of the players in the backfield, but generally what's moving the needle here is that we
0:40don't like it for the upcoming season. So, Jeremiah, Shev, who wants to go first?
0:45You know what? I'm going to choose. I'm going to let Shev go first here because if you have some hate in your heart, let it out.
0:53Yeah. If you don't like the New Orleans Saints backfield, there's not something wrong with you.
0:58There's something wrong with the New Orleans Saints backfield.
1:01So first and foremost on this side of the dirt, we got to deal with Travis Etienne, Ray Chan.
1:07My apologies. My apologies, Mama A-chan. I don't mean any disrespect.
1:10Salutations. Let's keep it moving. So they give him all of this money and then they just, they extended Alvin Kamara two years ago.
1:17He's in the final year of his deal, if I'm not mistaken.
1:21And just when we thought it was safe, we thought for sure that this meant that there was going to be no more Alvin Kamara.
1:29Alvin Kamara, who famously said, Hey, if you trade me, I will retire.
1:33So, you know, Mickey Loomis in all of his infinite wisdom and paying Taysom Hill and giving his family generational wealth for
1:40no apparent reason over the course of many, many years has done the same thing with Alvin Kamara now.
1:46So at least like we know that he's just got like fetishes for different players.
1:50And so we had a situation that would be phenomenal with Kellen Moore, but we get stuck with, there's some sort of committee, like just committee.
1:58I don't know how the touches are going to be divvied up now.
2:02Travis, Travis, Travis, a chance passing, passing down ceiling and reception ceiling is obviously lowered.
2:07It's it probably will be some sort of hot hand approach unless Alvin Kamara is, is hurt removed from a lot of,
2:14he has lost the last two seasons to injury at the end of the season.
2:19And he's a 31 year old running back. So it's, it went from a beautiful thing when Travis H and initially signed
2:25with the new Orleans saints to really more so of just a 2026 headache where we're, we're capping both players.
2:32We're not going to get a ceiling out. We're probably going to get, if I had to, if I had to say
2:38it, we're going to get a better outcome from Alvin Kamara than we think.
2:43And that is going to hurt more, hurt eight, hurt a chance more than it would.
2:48If vice versa, if he, if Alvin Kamara is going to be a pain in the butt to everyone involved with Travis
2:55H and they got involved in that business over the course of the last six to eight months, we saw him play really well.
3:02We know he's good at football. What does Alvin Kamara have left in the tank?
3:07So you're left with more questions and answers. And we thought that this was going to be pretty easily answered when they
3:13gave Travis H and all that money. Yeah, no, that's certainly interesting that, you know, you, I think when that first happened,
3:20the signing that is for ET to go over to new Orleans, go home to new Orleans.
3:25You, you were excited. You were like, Ooh, this is great.
3:29This is a, this is an up and coming ecosystem.
3:32We like everything about it. We like Kellen Moore.
3:35We like, we saw good things from Shuck. They added a first round receiver, more weapons.
3:40This is exciting. And then Alvin Kamara, all of a sudden just started just sticking his hand up out of the dirt
3:47and being like, Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
3:50And you know, the thing is, is if, if this offense does improve, takes another step forward, right.
3:55And you get the Mark Ingram, Alvin Kamara, except I think the roles would be maybe swapped around a little for those
4:02two players at, you know, ET and, and AK right now.
4:05Um, it still can be a very good outcome.
4:08It's just, I think because we needed to temper our expectations from what we were expecting ET to be.
4:14And that's where you have the hate, right? Cause you're at three 11 right now with ETN.
4:19And while, you know, that could be just fine.
4:22Um, or at one point I would have been excited about that where now I'm like, ah, that there's much more pause in me.
4:30Clicking the button for redraft dynasty wise. He's in our crowdsource, super flexed and premium.
4:34He's dropped a couple of spots. He's at 88 RB 21 mid seventh round ish.
4:39That's, you know, I think I would be buying ETN at the back half of this season.
4:44If I'm in a dynasty position, because I do think he's a really good player.
4:49He's 27 and a half. So regardless, his value is just going to keep, even if the season is better than we
4:56think it's going to be value is going to keep going down and dynasty.
5:00So I think he's a nice contender by near the end of the season.
5:04Cause if you're not a contender, you're going to be wanting to get out of the ET business anyway, cause he's not one of the elites.
5:12And we see the price tag and value of all those guys decline, even though they're still very useful from a points getting perspective.
5:20And I think that's what Travis ETN will be.
5:23And people will be, have a sour taste in their mouth about ETN at the end of the season.
5:29And that's, I think when the time is going to be right to pounce on it and dynasty, but right now hard
5:35to click on a startup either way, Jeremiah, your thoughts on, um, the new Orleans running back situation.
5:41You go three 12 in the redraft streets, having to click on Travis ETN.
5:45That's big trouble, especially juxtaposed with Alvin Kamara, because now the problem in getting away from Jacksonville, it was the skill sets
5:52didn't overlap between ETN and Bajal Tootin, but now they do.
5:56And they're redundant to a degree with the PPR scam.
5:59That is Alvin Kamara. So Alvin Kamara, you can get in round 13 in the redraft streets to your point.
6:05He's no longer really an asset you want in dynasty Alvin Kamara, but HN ETN, it's a high steep price right now in the redraft streets.
6:13And to your point in the dynasty startup, it's taken a little bit away from that and shy of like a Rob
6:20Gronkowski, because this was like the Rob Gronkowski scenario where, Hey, you're going to trade me to the lions back when they sucked.
6:27Hey, I'm retiring. I'm out. And then it vetoed that.
6:30I think the same leverage applies to Kamara. And because of how things have gone with that franchise, they want to treat Alvin Kamara right to the end.
6:39Right. So there's nothing out there. And unfortunately that's going to be kind of damaging to us.
6:44So if you take running backs around like, uh, Cam Scadbo, who goes after in the redraft streets at 41 overall, Bucky
6:51Irving, 44, Travion Henderson, 48 at the 412. Quinch on Jenkins at the five one David Montgomery at the five three, I'm rattling all those guys off.
6:59There's a lot more safety and shorty in those players.
7:02And even with Travion Henderson, who has Ramondre Stevenson in the way they're still set.
7:07Doesn't overlap near the same. So again, a problem there.
7:10And as Shev duly pointed out. Yeah. So, I mean, I can, I can get on board with the kind of hating that, that situation right now.
7:18Um, but the, the offense is rather tantalizing is the only thing of like, Hey, there could be plenty of touchdowns, uh, to go.
7:26And if, if Olave and, and Tyson are terrorizing, then it should be easier sledding for any of the running game.
7:32And you know, it could be fine, but it's, it's definitely something that is, has not been a fun click.
7:38And I haven't really been doing it all in either, which way now, uh, the dynasty wise real quick, Shev, and then
7:45I'll, I'll let you hop in there. Um, you know, the, the two other assets in there are Neil and, and Kendra
7:52Miller, both are stashes in my opinion. Like if this thing goes, goes a one, two punch this year, like I have
7:59every bit of faith that Devin Neal could be part of that one, two punch in the next year.
8:05Or, you know, at least factoring in or being a bigger factor of, Hey, this is your backup running back.
8:11If anything should happen. And then Kendra Miller, these are both guys, Devin Neal on our crowdsource FFD is 457 RB 113 and Kendra Miller's RB like 120.
8:20Uh, so stash those guys away and, and bigger, deeper leagues.
8:23I think both are solid players, just, you know, injuries for, both of them so far throughout their career.
8:29Uh, Shev, tighten us up here and we'll move on.
8:32Well, I like what you did there. The, the, just the, the timeline of events for everybody involved is, oh, Travis HN goes to the saints.
8:40I feel like a Viagra pill of the face.
8:43And then we just gradually, the excitement just gradually dies down until we get some sort of, some sort of definitive outcome on Alvin Kamara.
8:51You can't, you can't predict a high end RB two ceiling or even, you know, just an RB one finish with how
8:57much of the passing game is going to get, that's going to get siphoned off from Travis, Travis, Travis HN to lower his ceiling.
9:05So again, astute point to say, Hey, you need to be buying in dynasty at, you know, at, at different, you know,
9:12at the trade deadline, you know, where you're at team wise, you need to unload them.
9:17If you're, if you're trying to rebuild, he doesn't fit that building award, but that's a guy that falls into that money, money, money, winners, value losers.
9:25Bucket. And he will be there expeditiously. So yeah, it's a great.
9:29And you can, you know, probably not the best time to sell ETM, but people, if you're in dynasty and you're not
9:36and ready to win, then, you know, you probably should have already, you probably should have been already on the list, but
9:42see what you can get for him. All right.
9:45The FFD five-star review contest has been running for a month now on the FF dynasty.com.

10:29Appreciate y'all. Peace. Jeremiah, tell us a backfield, ambiguous open backfield that you're just unsettled on or you hate, hate, hate.
10:35Loathe entirely. This one is going to be buyer beware, understand what you're buying.
10:40Caveat emptor here. Generian price, Seattle Seahawks. Generian price from Redraft Street skills, 6-5.
10:44And then Zach Charbonnet, 6 rounds later at the 12-2.
10:47This is what I can't help but envision. I can recall, and I've been talking to Shev about this, the Cleveland Browns
10:54years ago when they signed Kareem Hunt off the 8-game suspension.
10:57Everyone and their mother was like, it's going to be irrelevant.
11:01It's not going to cap anything for Chubb's ceiling.
11:04It's all Nick Chubb. You don't even have to worry about it.
11:07Oh, it's so far away. It's 8 weeks away.
11:10You don't even have to worry. Oh, it'll be by about week 10 when everything ramps up because I think they had a bye week somewhere.
11:18So it really won't be until most of the season is gone, and it really won't affect.
11:23What happened when Kareem Hunt showed up? You had just an annoying touchdown in there every single game.
11:29You always had plays where it was a series and a rotation of Kareem Hunt coming in, and we never got that
11:36ceiling that we wanted out of Nick Chubb. It's one of the biggest frustrations I have just for the guy's career.
11:42We never really got to see just unadulterated Nick Chubb.
11:45I see that happening with Zach Charbonnet, be it not a suspension but coming off of injury.
11:51So whether that's halfway through the season, whether that's 10 games in, if it's the first month of the season because it's
11:58an unexpected hurry back, I just think you're going to get off to a hot start.
12:02You're going to love the usage that Jadarian Price has.
12:06But I think buyer beware as the season goes on, be prepared for other running backs hopefully to ascend and climb up.
12:12So the types of running backs that you're getting are hopefully going to be other ramp-up players on the back half of
12:19the season because I think it's going to level off for Jadarian Price.
12:23So it's going to appear good. It's going to taste good at first, and then it's going to get rotten because of Zach Charbonnet coming back.
12:31Go ahead, Chef. There's a couple things here. First of all, you yearning for a full Chubb is just diabolical.
12:38I just wanted to point that out. Blue, two, gold.
12:41We can't skip over that. But I'm 1,000% with you.
12:44I do think that this is going to turn into – I mean, here's my logic, and you guys can tell me if I'm mistaken.
12:51The way that they've used this backfield with McDonald, we had one offensive coordinator who would feature a runner.
12:57Then we had a guy who wanted to very clearly use a committee at all costs, no matter how inefficient it looked.
13:04Now we're back in a wild card territory, and the team, the GM who made this selection, is known to play whoever
13:11shows – like, this is an organization who will play the best player.
13:15That's not – I feel like that's more of an ethos than it is just a coaching philosophy.
13:21So you're taking Jadarian Price with the historical success rates on his side.
13:25He's a first-round running back and a successful offense.
13:27But what if he doesn't demand or command the snap share?
13:31We know for a fact that Mike McDonald or whatever, whichever McDonald it is, or Mickey D's, loves Zach Charbonnet like another kid.
13:38So once he's active – and now he's going – now apparently he's going to be active much earlier than what we anticipated.
13:45A lot of heat was coming out, say, in November.
13:48And now it's like, well, he could be ready by the beginning of October.
13:53That's a significant portion of the fantasy season. So, Casey, I would love to hear – I'd love to hear what your thoughts are.
14:00But I just – I agree with everything Jeremiah said, and I can't be in on this backfield for that specific reason.
14:07I'm not necessarily in on price. I could see where there would be a scenario where I would almost have to be
14:14in on price, just if my draft panned out a certain way or I clicked – you know, I need kind of a running back in that area.
14:22We can talk about that for a second later.
14:25Charbonnet is somebody who I kind of don't mind because it is – it does get pretty late.
14:31And you're like, hey, if I could manage to hold on to this guy and I only – it only costs me
14:37like a 12th round pick, this could be awesome at some point, but it could just be a nightmare.
14:43It would be kind of one of those where this would be like an every other draft scenario for me where it's
14:50like, yeah, I'd pull the trigger on Charbonnet in 50% to 40% of drafts just to see.
14:55And like I don't mind it in best ball right now.
14:59If he comes back and just can get some touchdowns, you know, that would be a great bump that you got in
15:06the 12th round or whatever it is in best ball.
15:09So, I do kind of like that part. The biggest part for me is just like Kubiak's gone.
15:14And the guy who's coming in, Eric Fleury, I believe is his name from Sam Fran.
15:19Sam Fran. Brian Fleury. Ryan Fleury. Already not just no name or as it seems.
15:24And he was a tight ends coach and he's been in that organization.
15:28Like very familiar with kind of a stylistically of how I would believe that the Seahawks want to go about doing what they're doing.
15:35I'm sure that's a big reason why they hired him.
15:39But there's just – you don't know anything about him.
15:42Now, you know, the Shanahan tree has been fairly successful at times throughout the league moving into HC or rather OC positions.
15:48But it's not 100% for sure. And there's certainly been plenty of failures.
15:52I just – I don't know that this offensive roster with somebody who's never done this before is something that I want
15:59to buy into outside of, you know, JSN really.
16:02Right? And, you know, I think Sam's going to be just fine.
16:06Right? I think at this point, you know, he – Sam is – the best part I've liked about Sam over the
16:13last couple of years is having been with Shanahan and then was kind of – Kubiak was like a cheat code already to in there.
16:20Now you get somebody else who's been familiar with Sam.
16:23So I think all those things are positive for him.
16:27I just don't know how this guy's going to call a game, what stylistically, what he's going to run, if it's going
16:33to work, if he's just going to – if it's just going to be a lost year for this offense and he's
16:40out after a year or he's the next hot thing.
16:43That's really the biggest factor in this that I don't really love because I like Price a little bit more than you guys as just a player.
16:52I just don't know about this scenario here being the best situation for him year one.
16:57And then one more note on this too. I should have led off with it.
17:01If Zach Charbonnet could relegate the frustration aggravation that we saw last year with Kenneth Walker and take him off the field, mog him, right?
17:09All the kids say you got mogged in the red zone.
17:12Hate that. Got red zone mogged. Who is Jadarian Price to get in the way of somebody like Zach Charbonnet?
17:19When you compare Ken Walker's prospect profile to Jadarian Price.
17:22So if it can happen to Kenneth Walker, it can happen to Jadarian Price.
17:26Now here would be the caveat for me. If Jadarian Price is going to come out there and catch a decent amount
17:33of balls, then all bets are off and this is fine.
17:36I don't get caught up in his profile from college suggesting that he can't do that.
17:41He's too good of an athlete to not be able to catch footballs, especially checkdowns and stuff.
17:47But if that is going to be a big part of what Jadarian Price can do for this offense, then I think this is fine.
17:54That'd be my kind of one caveat there, regardless of the play calling.
17:58That almost be like the play calling is terrible.
18:01Just run around out there and dump it down to price.
18:05Now is, is Helani or Wilson worth anything in this offense to you guys?
18:09I don't know how Wilson is not well over Helani.
18:12I'm not out there. I don't know, but everything indicates that that's not the case.
18:17I would have bet my life that that was not going to be the case.
18:21I thought every time I've seen Wilson, he's been a solid player, so I don't really understand that one unless Helani is awesome.
18:28And if that's the case and he's keeping him off the field, is he worth a roster spot here at all?
18:35I mean, I feel like you feel I feel like you have to.
18:39If the team is telling you, as our good friend Joseph says, you can't coach your bets.
18:44The team's telling you what they're doing, what they're doing with a player.
18:48We can wish cast all we want to. I can, I can go into the prayer closet and ask for Brashard Smith until I'm blue in the face.
18:57If the team says no, the team just says no.
19:00You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Like, it makes, to me, to me, based on what I've seen in my eyeballs, I
19:07think that, I mean, I think that George, or excuse me, Emmanuel Wilson is a quality player.
19:12And I thought that this was not a nothing signing and that he would be a sneaky, sneaky deaky pick.
19:18But apparently George Helani is just doing everything that he can to keep that from happening.
19:23So we got to, we have to adapt. We can't be stuck to our priors.
19:28You got to be right so you don't have to get right.
19:32And if Helani is going to be like, is projecting as maybe the third down guy right now, is that kind of how we're seeing it?
19:40Or is that, or are we seeing it vice versa with price being the third down guy?
19:45Cause if reports are out there, but if Helani is going to be the third down guy, or at least projected as
19:52the third down guy, does that skew your thought process on price catching balls?
19:56Yes, you have to, because, okay. Okay. Again, it goes back to, it goes back to the Bejal Tootin problem.
20:02It goes back to the problems that you have when you, when there's a running back that you know, you're going to use between the twenties.
20:10And when we get to third down or we get to the red zone, that's not the same guy that's going to be on the field.
20:18No, no. He could be awesome. He could give us 14.
20:22He could give us 14 carries for 75 yards and give us 7.5 PPR points.
20:26And everybody's going to be like, this guy sucks.
20:29And he could be out there doing the most awesome stuff.
20:33And it's not going to matter for fantasy. Yeah.
20:35If he's not getting high value touches, it can't be great for fantasy.
20:39Yeah. For price. You mean? Yes. Yeah. Especially at a, and redraft 6.5.
20:44We lived through, yeah, we lived through this with Kenneth Walker just last year.
20:48We all know how awesome three sticks is. Right.
20:51And we had to live through, we had to live through this.
20:54And I, I don't think there's any world anywhere where we would say Jadarian Price right now today is a better football player than Kenneth Walker.
21:02Yeah. I wouldn't. Yeah. I know. So, so. Really not.
21:06Yeah. In the sixth round, you're, you're, you're, you have to draft like you're right.
21:10And it's not comfortable. I'm not comfortable making that decision.
21:13Unilaterally, Jeremiah, you and I talked about the fact that, Hey, if you take Jadarian Price, it's irresponsible to not take him at a certain point.
21:21But the point where I have to take him, I'm clicking the button in so many different directions before I get there.
21:28So that's why I don't have as much Jadarian Price.
21:31I'm fine living with that just based on what I've seen from that organization.
21:36And we can move on because I didn't mean to talk about this for this long, but I just don't, I don't
21:42see the clear path that everybody else sees. Everybody else acts like this is a Mario and Hampton or whatever, whatever it is.
21:50And it's not that. Yeah. Yeah. Real, real quick.
21:52And dynasty heat right now on the super flex PPR crowdsourcing, he's at 86 RB 20 up a spot or two.
21:59I don't hate that price tag, you know, especially dynasty long-term.
22:02I think he's, he's going to be a solid player.
22:05Yes. From a dynasty perspective. Absolutely. I'm fine with that.
22:08Right now. And if we're talking redraft and where you have to get him to score points in your lineup, I would make a different bet.
22:16Yeah. All right. Let's move on. We've got another backfield here that both of you guys unanimously entered into the sweepstakes here.
22:23So I don't know who wants to take it first, but the commanders here make the list for both Shev and, and Jeremiah.
22:30Um, and I would tend to agree, although I, I don't mind having, it seems very accessible to have two of the three.
22:38And I think for me, that's probably a bit more of a dynasty thing than a redraft thing.
22:43Um, but how do you guys, what are we hating about this backfield?
22:47Take whoever wants to go. So you have unlimited angular access at the current ADP.
22:52You got Rashad white at one 79, Ja'Core Bill, Bill Krosky married at one 63 and Katron Allen at one 81.
22:58It's just a cluster in the late rounds. You just call your shot.
23:02And we've talked, we talked about this on the Patreon when we went over the NFC East, I believe Casey, uh, or actually no, no, no.
23:10Maybe you stepped out for a second, but my problem is I, I need Rashad white to win this job outright because
23:17if he wins it, then there's a good chance that he handles a three down three down workload and he just gets spelled.
23:24If bill wins it, then 1000% percent Rashad white is going to still be involved in terms of past protection, the third
23:31down roll, all those things, whether or not bill is the more efficient runner.
23:36We know that, but that's not where Rashad white's bread gets buttered.
23:39And this is a team, even though they got them on a cheap deal, it's one year, $2 million.
23:45He's going to show up in the passing game and limit whoever else there is.
23:50So I'd rather have Rashad white win this. And if it's not going to be him, then it just kind of turns
23:57into a mess in my opinion, because he's going to be involved in some way, shape or form that therefore capping the
24:03other player that takes the lead as the early down back.
24:07What do you think Jeremiah? And real quick, what you were noting there was the super flex PPR dynasty HP currently in redraft.
24:14We have Rashad white at one Oh five nine nine JCM to Corey cross Kimera at 10 nine.
24:20And I don't have Kate Ron Allen will be, you know, basically your last round pick or so in there, if you wanted to grab him as well.
24:28So Jeremiah, tell us your thoughts on this backfield and why they made the list free.
24:33I'm sure some of the same sentiments are there, but give us a preview of your mindset on this.
24:39You're asking me. Yeah, you. Okay. All right. So with Corey cross Kimera, this is what you just don't put back in
24:46the bottle, 800 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns.
24:49So I think this is one of those things where with Rashad white, we've had anywhere from 40 receptions to 64 receptions.
24:56You can print 50 receptions and feel really well off.
24:59But to chef's point, if it's not all Rashad white, it's just going to be cut up slices of nobody really is happy.
25:06And this kind of reeks of a backfield. The offense will be ebulent.
25:10Jaden Daniels is going to return to form. You're going to have Terry McLaurin going off.
25:15Ideally, you get somebody like Stefan digs in there.
25:18Got Antonio Williams who can show some dynamism. There's a lot that can go right for the commanders as a whole offense as a unit.
25:25Hey, hang five touchdowns on a weekly basis, five, six touchdowns.
25:29And it's just excellent problem being though. This is probably going to be more of a real life NFL.
25:35Damn your fantasy football team usage where it's a whole cut up of bill cross key merit running it on a given week.
25:42Then another week, it's Rashad white getting a lot of the angular access in the passing game, chopping it up and nobody's ever going to be consistently happy.
25:50And then to our preseason takes and our run out on Katron Allen.
25:54He's a good capable back. He's a professional running back and he's going to win coaches over.
26:00So he still has that ability. We saw what he did with Nicholas Singleton at Penn state.
26:05So it's just like a cut up pie of nobody's really getting the job and everybody's going to wish cast want cast somebody like a Rashad white.
26:13Cause he got that teammate angle with Jane Daniels, but I see it just being more of a headache to where the
26:20lazy analysis would be, well, in best ball, let me click bill and be happy whenever those eight to 10 touchdowns occur,
26:27whenever that 800 to a thousand rushing yards occur.
26:30And then other weeks, if I've got Rashad white, whenever those four or five passes occur and it's 50 receiving yards and
26:37a touchdown, and he's getting 16 ish points. You're incredibly thrilled because of the price point that you paid, but it will
26:43be aggravating week to week, kind of like Matthew Barry, shout out to Matthew Barry.
26:48You guys know him. When you talk about whack-a-mole, you're just not going to know which week and in redraft and in
26:55some of your managed dynasty, who to put in your lineup, you're going to be aggravated.
27:00Yeah. I, again, I, you know, I don't mind having two of the three and dynasty.
27:05I don't mind having the two of the three and best ball either for just the reason that you're stating.
27:11Like if, and it's usually cross key merit and Katron Allen, cause Katron Allen's really or rather Rashad white and Katron Allen.
27:18Cause Katron Allen's usually pretty free. And that gives me two of the three.
27:22Um, just like you said, that would be with an injury probably with Katron Allen, unless he's just undeniably that good, uh,
27:29which I don't know that he'll be able to be as dynamic as, as bill shows.
27:34My question was in, when we did the patron was like, if we're going to week three and or week, the third
27:41week of August or whatever, we're getting there and you still have drafts, right?
27:45And, and cross key merit is like, Hey, this guy is clearly our guy now.
27:50And we are just going to spell him with Rashad white.
27:53He will mix in on third downs and do stuff.
27:56Does that make this? I know you guys have kind of stated that.
28:00No, not really. To me, that would give me at least a little bit more confidence to draft bill.
28:06It would probably move his ADP off of 10, which is where I would be like, Hey, I don't, I probably don't want to mess with it.
28:14But if it stayed around there and we did get reports of like cross key merit could certainly be dynamic.
28:21Uh, but you, you guys are of the mindset of, you would rather see that go to Rashad white.
28:27Then you would be more comfortable drafting him. If they named cross key merit, you're still hesitant.
28:32Is that the way that I'm reading that? I would have to.
28:36So it would have to be, we'd have to get the Bucky Irving run out because I don't think that they're just,
28:42I don't think that there's anything that JCM can do right out of the gate to just them cut Rashad white's water
28:49off in terms of his touches early in the season.
28:52I, I just don't, I think they're going to get into a game situation and be like, man, you should have done this better.
29:00You should have done this better. And Rashad white does those things.
29:03He's, he's improved as a runner between the tackles, you know, four, three, a carry, I believe in back-to-back years.
29:10And he was, I mean, honestly, he was better on the ground than Bucky.
29:14So I would, I either, I need going into the season.
29:17I needed to be Rashad white. And then if he gets usurped by JCM or K Tron, then that's what happens.
29:24But out of the gate, I want it to be Rashad white, just so we have some sort of stability and I can be like, all right, cool.
29:33I can stash Ja'Cory Krosky merit. And if we get into week three, week four, week five, and he's consistently more efficient
29:39and he's earning more and more touches, I can be comfortable with that.
29:43But if it's the other way around and he gets off to a slow start or he fucking fumbles like he did
29:50early in the season last year, then we're just going to be in this no man's land of just hot hand approach.
29:57And it just cripples everyone from a fantasy perspective.
30:00And we've got everything that we want. We've got a rebuilt offensive line.
30:04We've got a mobile quarterback. We've got everything that we want in terms of a running back with a huge runway to be great for fantasy.
30:12And it just won't be, in my opinion, if we're just mixing and matching and playing whack-a-mole to borrow Jeremiah's term earlier
30:19in terms of picking who's going to be the back on a weekend, week out basis.
30:24So for redraft, it's super gross for dynasty. Yes.
30:27Two out of the three hell three out of three because Rashad white's going to be on a new team next year, unless he balls out this year.
30:35JCM will be going in a year three of a rookie deal and Katron Allen will be going in a year two of a rookie deal.
30:43So, you know, you're going to be splitting those aces at some point or another in the near future.
30:49Right. Or they just come in with a Trump card and take a big time guy early or something.
30:55And yeah. And then you're out of it, but it's your cost for almost any of the acquisition cost in dynasty for
31:02bill cross key merit or bill and Katron Allen was not a lot.
31:06And, you know, Rashad white has been kind of all over the place and it's still pretty cheap.
31:11So, all right. All right. I like that. The real, the reason I said that was just because I feel like cross
31:18key merits the most dynamic of all of them.
31:21And then if he got the lion's share of the opportunity, I felt like it could be turned into something that was magnified potentially.
31:29Yes. No, no, no, no. I'm 1000% in alignment with everything that you just said.
31:33I just don't think that they're going to hand it over to him early on.
31:38Yeah. All right. All right. I got two more backfields.
31:41I'm just going to float out here before we wrap today's episode up, Arizona.
31:45And this is, this is strictly on a redraft lens.
31:48And the next, and Jacksonville is the other one strictly on a redraft lens.
31:53I guess we could kind of look at that one on a dynasty lens too, but obviously everybody was as fine with Jeremiah love dynasty wise.
32:01Right. And they've got a cluster of other running backs behind them.
32:04And I think that's what clogs it up for redraft this year is like, Hey, you brought in Algeria, you paid him.
32:11And people do, you know, Matt Flynn is, you know, people, organizations do things before they have the opportunity to be in
32:18the draft or, or go through camp and say, Hey, I really like this guy.
32:23And you know, Hey, it is what it is.
32:26You're going to make some mistakes or it's not even a mistake.
32:29You, you might've made the right play. And now, Hey, we're going to, we got to correct it because what we're seeing
32:36on the field, we can't just tell we're going to make our team worse because this guy's, we paid him and we
32:43got to make sure we pay him. But what we've been seeing in practice is this guy's better than that guy.
32:49Right. Um, so, and I'm not saying that's the case with love.
32:53I'm just saying, Hey, they paid Algier, Connor, they brought him back.
32:57I do think one of these guys probably gets traded out of here at some point, Connor or Benson or, you know, somebody.
33:04Um, but Jeremiah love is really the main attraction here.
33:07And at, you know, for redraft right now at, you know, pick 23 overall is, is that, you know, to me, I
33:14don't know that I'm jumping on that grenade super happily right now.
33:18And maybe I'm, I wanted to bring this up because maybe you guys feel differently.
33:22Maybe you guys have a different opinion there. I just feel like Algier is there.
33:27There's obviously, you know, whatever they made him, their RB.
33:30They made love the RB to go into the, I don't care at all about that.
33:35It doesn't matter. Obviously love is their guy. He's a stud.
33:38Um, but year one, you could certainly see Algier just being on the field.
33:43Let's not burn our guy out. Let's let's let love do his thing.
33:47Even if love is doing his thing, like how great can it be?
33:51There's a, there's a realm where Jacoby Brissett can make this offense fun and the Cardinals still aren't good.
33:57Um, but is this, is this cause I kind of hate it.
34:00I kind of hate taking love and redraft. And I, this could be a all time flub on my part, but where do you guys stand on this?
34:09Go ahead. You're, you're, you're on the right track Casey, because if we just go by Vegas and follow what they have,
34:16the Cardinals are a bottom five team in points per game projected.
34:20So they're already a bottom five team projected in scoring.
34:23So, Hey, how many touchdowns are there to go around per game between 27 and 36 red zone touches last three seasons for Tyler Algier.
34:30That's going to suck. That is going to be a dick ass situation that we are not going to like when there's
34:37two touchdowns out there in the Russian game. One of them's going to go to Algier when there's three, one of them's going to go to Algier frustratingly.
34:46You're not going to get as many of the ceiling games as we want from Jeremiah love.
34:51And trust me, there's somebody who wants them to succeed.
34:54It's me. But you have carries the last three seasons attempts for Tyler Algier, 186, 137, 143.
35:00Basically all that to say, it's not nothing. It's going to be enough to put a little dent long-term.
35:05Nothing's going to stop somebody like Jeremiah love. But if we've had that aggravation from not getting the entire ceiling from B.
35:12John Robinson, who we project to have like a 2018 Christian McCaffrey year this year, you can posit the same thing that
35:19Tyler Algier could do it to Jeremiah love. It can happen and it can be aggravating and frustrating when you throw in
35:26that they're going to be a dog water team over their entirety of the season.
35:31And then Carson Beck could be in there at some point.
35:34There's reason to be reticent in the redraft streets, just on a holistic approach, not the prospect, like you said, safe and dynasty.
35:41So there's two scenarios that you, one of which you've alluded to ever so, ever so smoothly with the B.
35:47John Robinson run out from his rookie season where he's basically 200 carries, 970 yards and Tyler Algier is just siphoning off just, just magnificent fantasy goodness.
35:56And the other scenario is the Saquon Barkley scenario where he comes in and he just is undeniable.
36:01It's like, Oh yeah, no, we gotta, we, we've got to hand this to, we gotta hand it all to him right now.
36:08And we're just going to do that because he's our best player.
36:12So I don't think that we're living in the Saquon Barkley scenario.
36:16And that's kind of what I've trained my mind to.
36:19I do think that Jeremiah Love has the type of dynamism that would make you that if he were given 350 touches,
36:26he would be probably the dynasty number one running back overall.
36:29But I don't think that happens this year. Yeah.
36:32I think we're going to be capped. I think as Jeremiah alluded to, it's just not going to be, it's not going
36:39to be a scenario where we get the best version of Jeremiah Love.
36:43We'll get flashes. It'll be awesome. He is cemented as the, as the RB, the running by the rookie running back one,
36:50a top five running back in dynasty. Sure. Probably a lot of people's RB three, but you're going to have to, you're
36:56going to have to practice some patience delayed, not denied from him actually giving you a high end RB one overalls.
37:03Like threatening for that in 2026. If you do that, you expect that you're going, I feel like you're going to be disappointed.
37:10So for redraft, I can't be, I can't be in, but for dynasty, I am, I'm not going to lie.
37:16I'm owned into Menards every time that I click the button on Jeremiah.
37:20I want to own as much Jeremiah as possible, obviously, but yes, redraft two, two points.
37:25And then we'll move on and I'll just ask this on the way out.
37:30Um, one is almost every running like B. John and Gibbs, you know, I, I can, and, and Genty last year fielded numerous questions in their rookie year.
37:38What's wrong with this guy? Should I be trading them?
37:41And it's, and the answer is unequivocally always no, just relax.
37:45Like if you're actually watching the game, you can see how special these guys are.
37:49They're just team is not ready for them to be what they are.
37:53And it's okay to, for that to happen. Right.
37:56Secondly, with all that being said, you running up against the Seahawks defense, the Rams defense and the 49ers defense, which, you
38:03know, you can say whatever you want about their defense.
38:06Overall, the Niners run defense this year is going to be a menace.
38:10Right. And so six of your games as a rookie are going to be against those teams.
38:15You know, that's, that's a bummer. And I don't know exactly if any of them are in, you know, 18 and 17
38:22or whatever it would be for Jeremiah love. But generally, like, unfortunately, like you, every other team that we'd like B.
38:29John for Atlanta, like that division is always relatively softer than at the point when Saquon, I can't remember exactly at the
38:36point when Saquon was a rookie, the Eagles that probably weren't the powerhouse that they are.
38:41The Cowboys are always, and the red, you know, the Redskins are there by the Redskins at the time.
38:46Commanders, you know, just, just a different situation that they're bad teams in not great divisions.
38:51And now you've, you've got a bad team in a great division.
38:55Yeah. Also. Yeah. It's going to take some doing for him to, he's going to have to truly be special to get off in that division.
39:03Against those defenses. Just, just purely. Hey, I've got six hell in a cell matchups.
39:08Yeah. A gente would be a good example of, of basically what we just, you know, and I, because it's a, it's a good division, bad team.
39:16Yes. It's a, it's a big ass setup that Janty had last year, which can change as soon as year two.
39:23Cause we are, we're seeing it. We're low. We love it.
39:26Exactly. Yep. We love it. Love it. Every minute of it.
39:30Love it. And we don't have to spend a whole lot of time on this.
39:34We've talked a ton about toot and C rod and all that from a redraft perspective though, where are we at?
39:41We'll just go around the room. Are you buying in or are you selling out on the Jags running back situation?
39:47I'm going to go to Jeremiah first. More so clicking the other backs in that range over basial toot and the other
39:54players in that range over basial toot. But I wouldn't mind if I've got 10 redraft five, 12 for basial toot.
40:01And sorry, I just wanted to give a, Oh yeah.
40:04Thank you. 60 overall. Yeah. It's, it's just right where you, you really have to commit and be prepared to be burned.
40:10Unfortunately you have to, that's a little too early.
40:13Like I want more of a, a safeguarded pick.
40:16Ironically, I feel safer with somebody like a Travion Henderson because I feel like the ceiling cap is just ceiling as a roof.
40:23Like we could see Henderson be up there with Jameer Gibbs next year.
40:27If we get the full run out of his ascension.
40:30Oh, no way dude. No way. No way. No, there's no way.
40:34It's great. It's crazy until it happens. If you're not early, you're late in fantasy football to that degree.
40:40Well, I see a cap ceiling. That's all. Yeah.
40:43I would, I would say both of those players, Henderson and tootin are, are make or break picks.
40:48Like if they do what there's, if they do what they think you're going to do, you're, they're probably going to put
40:55you in a position to be a top four team.
40:58And if they don't, it's going to hurt. And you're, you're going to really have to make up in the backend and
41:05hit something on the waivers or on the late round to have made up for that, which is certainly possible, but it
41:12does seem like those are two clicks. I'm not, I don't love Henderson and redraft necessarily, but it is a, if that goes, it's going.
41:20And I think, I think tootin's kind of the same way.
41:23Like if he's breaking off runs and being undeniable, he's going to put, I'd rather go down with a ship with my bet is on Henderson.
41:31I'm fine with that. I'm fine with that. Live with the result.
41:35Also, you got the proof of concept of him actually being good at breaking long runs, which we didn't get with Bajal Tootin last year.
41:43Right. Like that's the frustrating part about it was like, yeah, he's super athletic.
41:47Yeah. He probably can do it, but just, it didn't happen.
41:50So I'm a little bit reticent as to steal Jeremiah's word about, about what it, what it looks like, because if he,
41:57if he's not, they don't throw the ball to the running back very often.
42:01They run the ball inside the five at the six highest rate in the entire NFL.
42:06And they have a mobile quarterback who's going to vulture those touchdowns that probably go to a guy who's proven that he's really good in short yardage.
42:15So I'm in on, I'm in on C-Rod just because, just because I think that he could give you a crazy random Jamal Williams 2022 season.
42:23Yeah. And he does have that familiarity with Liam Cohen already having been his offensive coordinator at Kentucky.
42:28So I'm in on C-Rod. I'm in on Laquan Allen is basically free.
42:32You'll pick them up on waivers and redraft after your draft.
42:36He might become a sneaky little, a sneaky little sneaky going into the preseason if he impresses, but it's just, there's a,
42:43there's one role that I feel good about and the rest of it is just kind of wish casting.
42:49And I don't think the two is going to step in and be like, be like Travis Etienne was last year.
42:55It's all we just need, you know, we just need him to be as good as Travis Etienne.
43:01Yeah. Yeah. That's it. You just gotta be a, you just gotta, you just gotta be a great running back, you know, in the league.
43:08Um, which at times people have said that he's not, um, so, uh, but I, you know, I'm with you.
43:15I like, I see Rod. I, I find myself with a lot in best ball just cause I feel like the touch,
43:21you know, it's going to be those spike week touchdowns where it's like, you can get two touchdowns and then he's just
43:28in your lineup cause he got you, you know, 15 points and from two touchdowns or whatever.
43:33So I like him a lot. Tootin's not somebody that I have rostered in a ton of spots.
43:39Um, I'm ready to be wrong on that one.
43:42Uh, it's just something that I'm not, I'm kind of, I'm kind of with the group here on that where I'm, I'm just not as quite bought in.
43:51And that's one where I want to see it and I'll be wrong.
43:55And then I'll pay the extra price to say, cause of course it's just like the saints.
44:00We just talked like, I want a part of that backfield.
44:03I want a part of Jacksonville's backfield. Um, and I, what we think he's going to be or what he's capable of
44:10being, then this is a smash, but I'm just, I I'm, I'm okay being wrong this year.
44:15And then being like, Hey, I'm all in on Tootin next year.
44:19And cause I saw it and golly, that's awesome.
44:22Um, so that's kind of where my thoughts stand on that.
44:25Anything else before we wrap this one up, fellas?
44:28It's fun discussion just from the angle of the angular access of how you have to be flipping the switch between all
44:35the redrafts are coming in cause you're going to do your redraft.
44:39And then weekly, as you're playing, you're punching in your redraft lineup.
44:42And a lot of things are aligning with your dynasty lineups as well, because the current year still matters.
44:48Even though dynasty is a chapter in a book and then redraft is a bunch of short stories, that book, that page that you're on is very important.
44:57So it's very fun this time of year when redraft and dynasty are really kind of parked in the same place in many ways.
45:04Wipe me down. All right, let's wrap it up.
45:07We'll catch you next week. Peace. Hey, I want to thank you for being part of this broadcast.
