Baker Mayfield

NegativeProjection23:26

Baker Mayfield is cited as a cautionary example of downside risk, having posted a 13% advance rate with 17.4 points per game at an ADP of 93, a price point similar to where Patrick Mahomes is currently being drafted.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeProjection41:00

The source is skeptical of Bucky Irving, citing a poor 3.5 RAS score, lack of top-end speed, and an inability to generate explosive 30+ yard gains. While he is a decisive runner who can generate consistent 13-14 yard gains, the source notes the 'vibes' are poor and he faces significant competition for high-value touches in the Tampa Bay backfield.

Insight page

C.J. Spiller

NegativeBust53:55

Spiller is identified as a definitive first-round running back bust since 2010.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeProjection21:13

The source uses C.J. Stroud as a benchmark for a lower-ceiling quarterback compared to the high-variance, rushing-dependent upside of Malik Willis.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

NegativeValue16:30

The source identifies Caleb Douglas as one of the first non-running backs off the board in certain draft formats.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveValue16:37

The source suggests that Chris Bell is a candidate to move up in draft rankings.

Insight page

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

NegativeValue53:45

Edwards-Helaire is categorized as a first-round running back who failed to live up to his draft capital.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

NegativeValue15:55

The source suggests that the fantasy community may be overvaluing Cyrus Allen, noting that expectations are potentially too high given his current draft position and that people are "over their skis" on him.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeProjection4:17

D'Andre Swift is used as a baseline for expected availability, with the source suggesting that players facing legal or suspension risks should be treated as having a higher probability of missing games than Swift. His current ADP also serves as a benchmark for valuing other running backs like Kenneth Walker III.

Insight page

David Njoku

NegativeInjury25:26

The source describes David Njoku as an aging player with knee injury concerns who was released by the Browns.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeValue16:24

De'Von Achane is currently being drafted after Kenneth Walker III in current draft markets.

Insight page

Ezekiel Elliott

PositiveProjection3:56

Ezekiel Elliott is cited as a historical benchmark for elite production from first-round running backs, comparable to Saquon Barkley. However, the source also uses his past mid-season suspension as a cautionary precedent for players currently facing off-field legal issues, noting that such suspensions can occur well into the regular season.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeDepth Chart27:15

The source highlights that George Holani was playing in the second quarter of a preseason game alongside Drew Lock, which serves as evidence that the Seahawks' backfield depth chart is opening up for Jadarian Price.

Insight page

Greg Dulcich

NegativeValue16:30

The source identifies Greg Dulcich as one of the first non-running backs off the board in certain draft formats.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveValue13:23

The source views Isaiah Likely as a superior value pick compared to Terrence Ferguson, noting that Likely is drafted three rounds later.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeBreakout35:32

The source views Jadarian Price as a 'smash pick' with explosive potential, noting that his path to playing time is opening up and he is no longer a PUP list concern. While he lacks elite size and athleticism, he is expected to carve out a receiving-heavy role similar to Bucky Irving. His limited college production is attributed to an Achilles injury and a crowded depth chart at Notre Dame. He is considered a high-upside talent bet, though his rising ADP makes him harder to justify compared to proven runners like Quinshon Judkins.

Insight page

Jarquez Hunter

NegativeValue8:32

The source expresses significant doubt regarding Jarquez Hunter's roster security, stating they would not be surprised if he failed to make the Dolphins' final roster following his trade.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveValue45:48

The source would strongly consider drafting Jaylen Warren in the fifth round if he were in the Tampa Bay backfield, citing his proven ability to remain productive as a receiver even while sharing work with Kenny Gainwell. He is also used as a benchmark for the type of role competition that could hinder Bucky Irving's fantasy value.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeProjection8:15

The source is highly critical of Jaylen Wright's performance, labeling him 'terrible' and suggesting he would likely have been cut by the team if not for the specific circumstances of his trade.

Insight page

Jordan Whittington

NegativeValue6:54

The source suggests that fantasy managers holding Jordan Whittington should be disappointed by the Rams' decision to trade for Tutu Atwell, as it adds unnecessary competition for snaps.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeUsage0:42

Josh Jacobs faces increased suspension risk due to new misdemeanor charges and potential video evidence, which could lead to a six-game ban under the CBA domestic violence policy. Drafters should view him as having higher availability risk than peers like D'Andre Swift or Travis Etienne. He is also noted as a first-round running back who failed to meet the highest expectations.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection17:44

Justin Herbert is viewed as a fine selection but lacks the playoff success of Patrick Mahomes, which the source attributes to mental preparation rather than physical skill. He is also used as a statistical benchmark for Mahomes' downside, citing his 19.7 points per game and 19% advance rate in a season where his offense struggled.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

NegativeValue12:03

Jawan Johnson is used as an ADP benchmark for Terrence Ferguson, with the source noting Ferguson is being drafted ahead of him, which the source considers out of control.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeUsage68:29

The source dismisses Kenny Gainwell as a legitimate threat to Bucky Irving's workload, questioning why there is any concern regarding his role. The source characterizes Gainwell as a smaller, 'water bug' style player who is inferior to Irving.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue16:24

The source argues that Kenneth Walker III is undervalued by the public, who frequently label him as injury-prone or a bad pick. The source considers him a 'smash' pick and believes he would be a 3rd-4th round value if he were available. He is currently being drafted ahead of De'Von Achane.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveProjection15:24

The source recommends drafting Kyler Murray specifically for his rushing ability, which provides a high fantasy floor and ceiling.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveBreakout50:21

Luther Burden III is identified as a future superstar, with the source projecting him as a high-value target for next year's drafts.

Insight page

Lynn Bowden

NegativeValue8:37

The source references Lynn Bowden as a historical comparison for the type of low-value, player-for-player trade that occurred between the Rams and Dolphins.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeValue14:57

The source is backing off Malik Willis in standard formats due to benching risk, though they maintain he remains an 'insanely good bet' in Superflex leagues for his rushing touchdown upside. Despite the shift in stance, the source maintains that their previous investments in Willis were sound asymmetric bets.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeValue12:03

Mark Andrews is used as an ADP benchmark for Terrence Ferguson, with the source noting Ferguson is being drafted ahead of him, which the source considers out of control.

Insight page

Mecole Hardman

NegativeRole6:47

Mecole Hardman's mid-season return to the Chiefs is used as a direct comparison for minor, low-impact trades, implying that such moves rarely result in significant fantasy production.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon

NegativeInjury8:12

Ollie Gordon is currently dealing with a rib injury, which the source notes as a factor for fantasy managers looking at alternative depth options.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveValue14:04

The source considers Patrick Mahomes the most obvious good fantasy pick of their lifetime, maintaining 32% exposure. Despite concerns regarding his recovery from a torn ACL and potential rushing regression, the source argues the market is over-correcting by assuming his rushing production will drop to zero. His current ADP is significantly cheaper than in previous years, creating an asymmetric opportunity tilted toward the upside, with potential benefits from an improved running game, the return of Eric Bieniemy, and the development of weapons like Xavier Worthy.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveBreakout37:19

Quinshon Judkins is a proven, reliable runner capable of carrying the load, making him a safer bet than peers like Jadarian Price or Bucky Irving. Despite a less-than-ideal landing spot with the Browns, he is a 230-pound back expected to handle significant volume, including multiple 30-carry games. He is typically drafted early, often off the board before other priority running back targets.

Insight page

Rashaad Penny

NegativeBust53:55

Penny is cited as one of the few definitive first-round running back busts since 2010 and is used as a stylistic comparison for Jadarian Price's profile.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

NegativeProjection21:13

The source compares Malik Willis to Sam Darnold, noting that while Willis has a higher risk of scoring zero, his ceiling for 27-point games is significantly higher than Darnold's.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

NegativeDepth Chart44:56

The source identifies Sean Tucker as a potential 'trap' for fantasy managers if he remains part of the Tampa Bay rotation. Because the team tendered him for $3.5 million, the source believes Tucker could steal goal-line and receiving work, which would limit Irving's ceiling to between-the-20s touches. The team clearly has plans for him given the significant tender amount for a third-string back.

Insight page

Sony Michel

NegativeBust54:03

Michel is criticized as a poor draft pick who produced only 10 points per game and was out of the NFL within four years.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveValue5:33

The source explicitly advises against drafting Terrence Ferguson, arguing that his current ADP in the 9th-12th round range is far too expensive for his profile. The source suggests he is a late-round target (17th-18th) at best and that the recent Tutu Atwell trade does not meaningfully change his outlook.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeProjection4:17

Travis Etienne is used as a baseline for expected availability, with the source suggesting that players facing legal or suspension risks should be treated as having a higher probability of missing games than Etienne.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveValue50:09

The source suggests that Travis Hunter is being undervalued in drafts, implying that drafters will regret letting him fall in rounds.

Insight page

Tutu Atwell

NegativeValue5:33

The trade of Tutu Atwell back to the Rams is viewed as a minor, low-impact move comparable to Mecole Hardman's return to the Chiefs. The source is skeptical of his fantasy impact, suggests he is not worth drafting or rostering, and notes that his arrival adds competition for snaps that negatively impacts other depth receivers.

Insight page

Xavier Smith

NegativeValue6:54

The source suggests that fantasy managers holding Xavier Smith should be disappointed by the Rams' decision to trade for Tutu Atwell, as it adds competition for snaps.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

PositiveBreakout25:04

The source is betting on Xavier Worthy as an NFL-caliber receiver, arguing that his poor rookie performance was largely due to playing through a torn labrum. The source disputes the 'bust' narrative, noting he was league-average or better before the injury.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeUsage51:55

The source characterizes Zach Charbonnet as a threat to Jadarian Price's workload, describing him as a player who 'can't move' and lacks athleticism, despite his current role as a receiving-down back for the Seahawks.

0:02Welcome to the Legendary Upside podcast and YouTube channel. My name is Patra.
0:06You can follow all of my content at legendaryupside.com.
0:09With me today, Davismatic. We're going to be talking some ball drafting a best team. Davis, how's it going?
0:16>> You know, it's going it's going pretty good. Can't can't complain. We got some big breaking news to figure out. Uh so
0:24we got to we got to know what's going on there. And then we're going to do uh after I assume we both leave and go have
0:30dinner, well lunch maybe really breakfast for you actually.
0:33>> It is it is breakfast. Yeah.
0:35>> Um then we're going to go do our Crack Rock draft. So we are we're having we're having a good day, man.
0:42>> Yeah. Um but we just had the Josh Jacobs stuff drop. Um there's couple misdemeanor charges uh they're going to
0:51be pursuing dropped from felony charges.
0:55Um and then uh like literally a second ago there was there's a report that there is video um that I like literally just saw.
1:07>> Yeah. Never never good when there's video >> from Matt Sniderman.
1:11Um, so yeah, it does look like Jacobs is going to get suspended this year. I would say, >> yeah,
1:21>> the question is how many games? Um, >> probably like two or six, right? So, either it's like the two the two gamer
1:28is the the personal conduct.
1:31Uh, like like Gadell says like, "All right, two games." And then it's six games I think if you uh like do like a
1:40like six games I believe is the CBA mandated um domestic violence suspension.
1:48>> Yeah. If there's video of him, you know, with an incident like a physical incident, I think that makes
1:57really puts six games on the table. So, it's it's one of those things where, you know, he was originally charged with
2:04some felonies that goes to misdemeanor that makes suspension less likely, I would say. But then video always always makes makes it more likely. So, you do
2:14also have the timing of this stuff, too, where you know, he's now going to go to trial and does he try to push it? But if video
2:23comes out, the NFL will just act on the video.
2:27could definitely be. I I mean, it certainly could be one of these things where he ends up being suspended next season or he ends up being suspended
2:36mid-season, right? Uh the the Ezekiel Elliott situation where he ended up being suspended after playing like eight games or whatever, that's that's
2:44definitely on the table. I mean, in terms of what I'm doing in drafts, I had been under the assumption the whole time
2:50that there was a suspension pending. I don't have Jacobs as like a target or a non-target, but I do think when you're
2:57drafting him, you should treat him like a guy who has more likelihood than DeAndre Swift or Travis ETN of missing games while also knowing
3:07>> that's how we had it too. Yeah, we've had it that we've had suspension risk in obviously the entire time since since
3:13this incident. I do think if there's video that would meaningfully increase the chance of a six-game suspension beyond what we were expect because we
3:21didn't this is the first time hearing that there's video so that I think does change um the potential risk for him for for a
3:30sixgame suspension for sure.
3:33>> Yes. Yeah. I mean hey the bigger news though 22 Atwell traded back the Los Angeles Rams. Can't draft Terrence Ferguson brother. Can't draft Terrence
3:41Ferguson.
3:43Yeah. I mean, you you are kind of an Atwell guy a little bit, right?
3:48>> Yeah. I mean, he just can't I mean, he couldn't play last year. He ended the he ended the season for them uh four snaps
3:54on offense, eight snaps on offense, 13 snaps on offense, 10 snaps on offense, 15 snaps in their playoff game against the Panthers and then two healthy
4:03scratches. They chose to not sign him in free agency. This is uh this is the Micole Hardman, you know, coming back to
4:10the Chiefs mid-season type type deal. I I I'm not really I guess if you had Xavier Smith or Kennata Mumfield or
4:18Jordan Whittington bags, you'd be fairly bummed about it, but >> yeah, >> I I just >> it doesn't I can't I people want it to
4:27impact T for Ferg. I don't I don't really think it does unless you think two unless you think 22 Outwell's presence makes it that much easier for
4:34them to play 11 personnel as their base, which >> I don't know.
4:40>> I don't think I don't think really matters very much. Um, it's 22 Atwell. I think Tutu Atwell will play some, but
4:47>> I I think on the other side, I actually think Jarres Hunter is like clickable now because Ollie Gordon Olly Gordon
4:55hurt his ribs and Jaylen Wright is bad like like act like act like Jaylen Wright is I've watched Jaylen Wright play. He's terrible.
5:03>> I've got bad news about Jquiz Hunter.
5:08>> Yeah. Well, you know what? Non- derogatory. That's fair.
5:12>> I mean, Jarquz Hunter was drafted last year and is now on a new team.
5:17>> New team. The Lynn The Lin Bowden.
5:20>> You know who's not on a new team? Jaylen Wright.
5:23>> Jaylen Wright.
5:23>> Jaylen Wright's still on his the same team that drafted him. I think uh I think Jaros Hunter is like I wouldn't be
5:30surprised if he didn't make the Dolphins.
5:33>> What a weird What a weird trade. What a just like what a like truly a very very weird trade for it to be a player for
5:40player trade. You never get stuff like this happen in the NFL.
5:43>> It's true.
5:45Um >> Yeah.
5:46>> Yeah.
5:48That one I mean it's a it's it's two guys that they were probably going to cut.
5:54>> Oh. Uh yes.
5:56>> So it's like, "Hey, do you want this guy? You want Tutu back? You can have him.
6:00>> You can have him." Yeah.
6:01>> Yeah. We're going to cut Jarqu. You want him?
6:04>> Yeah.
6:04>> We can we can skip having to claim them on waiverss and we can just go ahead and move right past it. Yeah, you're right.
6:10>> Yeah, that's what it is. So, yeah, that one I I think you know, it's funny to joke about 22, but you know, you're if
6:19if two matters for Terrence Ferguson, like you you're the play was always dead. Like >> it's the same thing as the tootin stuff
6:28like like if if Chris Rodriguez is good enough to ice tootin, you were wrong from the jump.
6:32>> You were wrong from the jump. Yeah. It doesn't matter. like obviously be you you'd like to be able to kind of get
6:39there with a terrible player like a like a Damen Pierce kind of >> you know like oh well he actually was
6:45really bad but he had that one year. Um that's always nice if it's nice to be wrong and and still get points but yeah
6:52if if two is a problem for Terence Ferguson he should he should still be in the 18th round.
6:58>> Yeah.
6:58>> Yeah. Some some would argue that that he belongs in the 18th round anyways. Even if 22 out well didn't didn't make the
7:04team. There would be some >> I think maybe 17th. I would say 17th.
7:07Yeah.
7:08>> Okay. Yeah.
7:08>> Yeah.
7:09>> Well, buddy, he's not getting past the 12th these days. I mean, it's it's insane. Like I I haven't drafted Terence
7:15Ferguson in days, weeks maybe even because >> he's like going like I just did a I just did a DK25. He went pick 122. He went
7:23ahead of Mark Andrews and Jawan Johnson.
7:25Just like it's out of control.
7:29These aren't, you know, >> I mean, I think part of it's your rooms, right? Your your people know >> they they do. I guess, you know, I'm
7:36marginally more likely to get him in a um like a slow draft that is not being streamed for sure.
7:44>> Yeah. Yeah.
7:44>> It's I mean, dude, we we recorded a main last night, not even we're not even streaming it, and he went and he went in
7:51the ninth round in the main. And then the one that you and I did together last night, he went in the 10th. Like, I we
7:56weren't streaming that. I mean, people knew we were in it.
8:01>> You know, as much as I've said about Terence Ferguson, it is tight end premium, and that's like three rounds after likely, dude.
8:06>> Pretty cheap.
8:09>> I right now, straight up, dude, I I think I would just take T Ferg over likely. They're like the same play, but
8:15one's on the Giants and one of them's on the Rams.
8:17>> I think likely is a bad enough pick that that's how you actually get me on to team T Ferg. Just Just convince me it's
8:23a better pick than Likely, which is a pretty easy one. Um, I if I delivered that like just slightly faster, I I
8:30might have gotten a an actual spit take from you.
8:33>> You You could Yeah, you could have got me.
8:38>> Oh, man. So, I put on the thumbnail, you know, best picks because I figured and then I put Mahomes on the I put Mahomes
8:45on there.
8:46>> Um, because I >> You're Moging me, though. Like, I'm I'm the fake I'm the fake fan. You >> fake fan?
8:52>> Yeah, you're Mahomes mogging the [ __ ] out of me, dude. How much do you have?
8:56>> I'm at I'm about to go check right now.
8:57I know Malik Willis is my most drafted guy overall, which is not a leg up brand play. Um, but yeah, like I I mean, don't get me
9:08wrong, like I have a a very reasonable amount of Patrick Mahomes. I think the thing that has actually kept me from
9:15getting an insane amount of exposure to him is actually uh the the existence of Brock Perie and and Kyler Murray. It
9:24just being like saving me from like totally going insane. Mahomes is my second most drafted quarterback though.
9:3014.9% of my 2,400 baseball teams have Patrick Mahomes. So, I have 350 Patrick Mahomes baseball teams.
9:42>> Wow. What was the percent again?
9:45>> 14.5.
9:47>> Oh. Oh, buddy.
9:48>> You're you're you're mogging the [ __ ] out of me.
9:50>> I'm this I'm truly mogging you. Oh, >> yeah.
9:54>> No, no, no.
9:56>> Higher. I'm at like I'm over 30%.
9:58Patrick Mahomes. It it is it's frankly it is truly the most obvious good fantasy pick of my lifetime. I I actually can't remember one.
10:10>> I I can remember more obviously bad picks in fantasy football history.
10:14>> Yeah. Yeah.
10:15>> Like Marquez Callaway.
10:16>> But those are always easier. You know that you This is This is one of the things with fantasy analysis is that
10:21like more picks are going >> are going to be lost.
10:25>> Yeah. You're going the whole game really comes down. This is like my, you know, what do I write about? I write about
10:31legendary upside. Like who, what matters? Trying to find the guys who actually like move the needle in a positive way. You're going to have a
10:38higher hit rate if you just try to pick out the bus because there's going to be a lot of them. So, finding the guys who
10:44actually crush their ADPs is is really the goal. I've got 32% Mahomes. He's my second highest drafted player on drug.
10:52Yeah, he just has like Okay, so bad season.
10:58He just like like like like let's say the haters are right. Let's say Jacob Sanderson and his big dumb Canadian face
11:06are right. He turns in like a quarterback 13 season, 27 passing touchdowns, 15.8 points per game. Kind of like a
11:16silent killer season at quarterback, but he plays all seven.
11:19>> It wouldn't be at his price.
11:20>> But it wouldn't be. That's the thing.
11:21That's what I'm saying is it is it it would not even be a silent killer season with obvious I mean he was a quarterback
11:28two in points per game last year. So I just I don't know. It's just one of the most and I you know what there was
11:34another thing I was thinking which is I I actually just been giving it to the haters like dude he's not going to run
11:40at all. He's coming off a torn ACL.
11:42>> This is I'm I'm done doing >> why why am I just giving that to the haters? What? When when guys are coming
11:47back from injuries this quickly, why am I just saying, "Well, of course he's not going to run this year. Why Why am I Why
11:54am I giving that to them?"
11:56>> I Yeah, I mean, I'm I'm I'm with you.
12:00Like, it's uh I think he'll run less, >> but I think he's not going to run none.
12:06That's that's like that's one of those ones that I think people are it's just it's it feels like kind of paint by numbers type stuff where it's
12:16like well he toss ACL so therefore we're just going to take the rushing line put that at zero you know what's happening
12:21is it's kind of that it's that Reddit post on Mahomes from back in the day a little bit with the rushing let's just
12:27set we're going to reduce this reduce this >> we're going to well this is what they've done so this is frankly it it is the
12:34Reddit post because what everyone has on the global fantasy football community. I I see them doing it. I I I watch them
12:41guys I respect. We got uh Rotoat and Denny were and and Hayden actually I've I've all seen them do this. Like guys,
12:49in a 12 team league, you just literally don't have to take a quarterback coming off a torn ACL. Like I' I've all been
12:54out there and it's like, yeah, but why are we saying Mahomes isn't going to regress to the mean?
13:02>> Yeah.
13:03and like okay so I'm trying to find because the thing is about his ADP is it bakes in not just so he had 23 and a
13:13half FFPC points per game last year which is kind of the way my brain works
13:20best but let me let me pull up underdog uh in underdog scoring Mahomes was at 21.7 points
13:31Um, let's look at Herbert. Herbert was at 19.7.
13:36That seems like a a reasonable downside >> easily >> case for right. Herbert the offense was kind of a mess last year.
13:45>> Um, you know, he doesn't run a ton run less than Mahomes did last year certainly.
13:53Justin Herbert last year had a 19% advance rate. His ADP was 125. So, that's maybe not the best comp.
14:02Bo Nicks had a 19% advance rate. I guess he scored pretty well. Let me see. Baker Mayfield, I think, was was down at like
14:1013%.
14:12And he had an ADP of of 93. So, there's your there's your downside risk. I you
14:20know, Baker Baker had 17.4 four points per game last year and had a 13% advance rate at a similar ADP to Mahomes. So is
14:30Mahome Do you think he could drop four points per game from last season?
14:37I I mean frankly I think he can like of course he of course he can like if the haters are right the the
14:44>> big bet that I'm making is that the improvement in the running game changes everything that like the return of Benemy and having a good explosive
14:54running back like truly changes everything that the boxes are lighter they're able to be more multiple they're more effective in play action and
15:04another big bet would be that Xavier Worthy is an NFL caliber receiver, which he really wasn't playing with the Torren Labram. He was not that bad as a rookie.
15:12That's that I mean that's the thing.
15:13There's been this there's been this revisionist history that Worthy's always been dog [ __ ] I mean he had some big
15:18gaffs as a rookie in terms of like not knowing where the boundary and stuff was, but he was like uh league average
15:25to slightly above league average receiver as a rookie and then was really really bad last year playing through a torn labum.
15:34>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I think I think the worthy like worthy is the thing that's funny about, you know, you talk about
15:40how bad the receivers are. They aren't great obviously, but we do draft one of them in the third round, one of them in
15:48like the ninth round. We draft a tight end in the ninth, 10th round, and then we're actually we're drafting a fourth
15:55weapon now in like the 15th round or whatever. So, >> I think the people are over their skis on Cyrus Allen potentially.
16:01>> They may be. They may be, but and also we draft a running back at the at the one-two turn in the early second round.
16:06So there's, you know, the weapons are actually individually priced like they're going to score points. It's if you just looked at like the ADPs of the
16:17weapons. Now that's some of that's because people believe in Mahomes to elevate these guys. I I get that. But it's not like, you know, some the
16:24Dolphins, of course, the first uh non- running back is off the board. Achan's going after Walker now. And then the first non-running back is Dolich or
16:34Caleb Douglas depending on your draft, >> right?
16:37>> Uh and then maybe Chris Bell moves up.
16:38But yeah, it's it is um it's an argument that I I get what what people are saying when they're when they're saying this
16:47the the weapons are bad, but they're also like they're not they're not that bad, you know, from from what we expect
16:54as a community for them to score.
16:56um >> all time for sure all time first ballot head coach who basically again this is the sort of thing that carries no water
17:06when I try and do this with Jacob but like the enemy being back in the building matters whether you believe it
17:12does or not because it makes everyone more accountable and if you say why wouldn't you be accountable you're trying to go for a Super Bowl three what
17:20does that make sense it's like I mean this is basically the whole deal with professional sports is that it's called the disease of more. Everyone everyone
17:29struggles with this. Everyone struggles with motivation. Everyone struggles like listen to any champion athlete talk about this. They all say it's hard, man.
17:38It's hard to stay focused. It's why it's why Mahomes is a 101. It's why Justin Herbert is 29 years old and hasn't won a
17:45playoff game and Mahomes is 30 and has won three Super Bowls. Like, it's not the physical skill that sets them apart.
17:52It's the mental. And Benemy helps what what my understanding from the outside is that the enemy in the building helps the other guys get to
18:02Mahomes's preparation level and desire level and motivation level.
18:09>> I also think he's going to pass more, you know. I think I think >> right there or at least they're going to
18:15pass plenty. Like you don't have with BME you don't have to worry because one of the arguments against Mahomes they're going to shift and be like a runheavy
18:22run first team which >> Yeah, sure. Have you met Andy Reid? I don't think he's never had an off. He's been in the league.
18:28>> Has he has he ever ever even been within a standard deviation of Proe like of average?
18:35>> Yeah. Benemy was such a genius with Sam How? This is part of the reason I like Bianmy is he literally had Sam How and
18:41he's like, I have to throw it constantly.
18:43>> I have to. Yeah. Sam How's like the quarterback eight.
18:47>> Yeah, exactly. Um, so you know, Sam Hal bullish, but I'd rather be Herbert than Mahomes. I think taking Herbert over
18:56Mahomes is totally fine, but Mahomes goes after Herbert, which is part of the reason that he >> like 30 picks after Herbert.
19:03>> Yeah. And look, as we talked about, there's um obviously going to be more busts than hits. And so Mahomes turning
19:13in like a Baker Mayfieldy season and underperforming at ADP is definitely in the mix. Like that can happen, but
19:24it's also like not not like it's not like it' be a 3% advance, right? You know, there's some downside to it. I I think the a lot of
19:32the risk is kind of priced in where you can still underperform. you can still be a drag on rosters, but it's hard to see
19:38him being just like crushing you. Where like Mahomes, if you look back to 2023, he he had an 11% advance rate because he
19:49had an ADP of 20.6, right? like you could get the the the price just creates the risk to a large degree and the price is now so much
19:59cheaper than we've ever seen on Mahomes that I think you are now looking at a bel bet that's very clearly tilted to the upside
20:09where you have an offense that's performing better than it did last season which is a pretty low bar in some ways because of how poor the Chiefs were
20:16relative to how they've been and then you they're operating with volume still and you get Patrick Mahomes. That's that's one of the other things like,
20:26hey, remember how this guy's like like absolutely nuked multiple >> gota bet on talent at every position other than quarterback.
20:35>> Other than quarterback, >> he had a 25.5 point season four years ago. That is Are we allowed to talk about that?
20:42>> Nope. No, you gota talk about >> You got to take You got to take Kyler Murray because he runs.
20:48>> Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, anyway, Mahomes, we're never going to convince the people, but I think it's been one where,
21:00you know, you're normally at 8% everywhere. So, you're you're really going out on a >> I'm going out on he's my he's my And you
21:06know what? In the end, he'll end up being my most drafted one because I am backing off a little bit on on Malik
21:13Willis. Not Not that I not because I am like this guy sucks. He's going to get benched. I think all the bets I made in
21:19Malik Willis are good. I made them with a clear heart, clear eyes, and a full heart. I I understand the the benching
21:28risk. I just think this is a kind of asymmetric bet that yeah, functionally induces more variance in baseball because his odds of getting zero are
21:39better than Sam Darnold's, but his odds of scoring 27 points in a given game are like infinitely higher than CJ Shroud or
21:47Sam Darnold or Fernando Mendoza or Gino Smith just because he's going to generate rushing touchdowns. Like if the if the Dolphins score 14, the Dolphins
21:58score 10 rushing touchdowns. Mallez probably gets half of them, you know. Um and and I think there is
22:09a marginal chance I I'm giving it I'm giving it a 7% chance that the Dolphins are not a laughingtock. 93% chance they
22:18are a laughingtock.
22:207% chance they're not.
22:23Uh, and are you gonna post that on Koshi so I can scoop it or >> imagine having someone has to settle
22:32whether or not they're a laughing stock.
22:34Is that >> That's tough. That's tough. That's a tough market. That's a tough tough market. Yeah.
22:39>> Yeah. It goes against you. They're clearly a laughing stock, but people just decide they aren't. Um, yeah. I mean, I Willis I have some of in
22:48Superflex.
22:50Uh, I' I've got him on teams that are just need a little bit of more juice in the in the three quarterback builds. I I
22:57get the >> superlex >> utility of him >> because I just have my full exposures up and Superflex is a lot of that because I
23:05think he's an insanely good bet in Superflex. I understand why people would not be into him in regular.
23:11>> Um, question on price creates risk. So, when a player even drafting and a good price shoots up in ADP, do you avoid the
23:18player with the new price or keep drafting? depend entirely on what the >> current bet looks like. It's just like what is the
23:25>> there's a new price but there's probably new information. So what is that information? You know for a while with Stribbling I was continuing to draft him
23:32and now I think he's he's risky where he goes currently because he's risen probably too much.
23:39But it just depends on what I think is going to happen relative to the market.
23:43>> Yeah.
23:45Um, I I'll say one thing I do differently now is I do not bag defend fallers. Like >> when the when the wind started going
23:56against towers in Gadston, I said, "You take them away, wind, I do not."
24:00>> Yeah. The wind took those guys away too for me.
24:03>> Yeah. And they can and they can go.
24:05>> I depended a little on Sters, but the but the it was, you know, I had to abandon ship.
24:12>> Yeah. I I well Starders I just did a little bit because I was like I don't care if he got drafted to the Eagles.
24:19He's got good contingent. He was a second round pick. How often do second round picks just not play at all? But
24:25once once the reports started coming in I was like yeah okay we can we can move on from here. I was skeptical of the
24:30initial reports because the beat writers and I think this is true of a number of different things but they'll overstate stuff like they're like oh you know red
24:38shirt season for sters and it's like if I'm hearing that in July what does that mean like you're you're
24:47you guy who writes for a Philly paper knows what the Eagles plans are for this guy in December like you don't I know
24:56you're covering the team but you don't know. How could you know?
24:59But then when you get into August and he's like on like the third, you know, he's with the third stringers and he's
25:06not making plays and he's genuinely struggling. What I've what for me, the way I think about this stuff is I'm allowed to like those guys are still I'm
25:17allowed to leave the light on for those guys to produce because I have teams with those players and so if those teams
25:23do really well, that's awesome for me.
25:24>> I I got it covered. Yeah.
25:26>> Yeah. I got it covered. So I can still end up being right. Do I then have to add to that position?
25:34>> No.
25:34>> Maybe not right. Like >> that's how I feel down or whatever it is. But >> that's how I feel about Gadston. Like I
25:42acknowledge >> Gadston's path is still pretty clear.
25:46Like I draft Kar, but it like he sucks and and Jooku is old and has bad knees and got let go as like he's like a
25:53franchise legend for the Browns and they in a in a season where they really needed some goodwill uh because they knew they were going to start to Deshun
25:59Watson, they let him go which is just like crazy.
26:03>> So like I see that this the path for Gadston is obvious I think.
26:09>> Yeah, but I'm not drafting him.
26:11>> Right. Exactly. Because I I got the I got the bags. The bags are The bags are packed.
26:15>> Yeah, the bags are packed.
26:17>> Yeah.
26:17>> So, it's like, what's the best team I can build today with everything I know now? It might not include players who I
26:23thought were on that that team a month ago, which is fine because I might have been right a month ago and wrong now
26:31>> and wrong now.
26:33>> But I'm going to try to be right now and because I might be right now and wrong then. And maybe I win
26:40I win a tournament by moving off of that, you know? So, I think the drafting so many teams, it is it is definitely I
26:48think it's good for, you know, maybe not good for all aspects of of mental health to get a thousand baseball teams in, but
26:54it can be good for the ability to move off priors.
26:57>> For sure, >> right, and not be stubborn.
27:00>> Yeah, 100 100%. Who do you think is the uh Let's just do this by position. Who do you think is the best pick at the
27:06running back position? Because my answer has changed from what it would have been over like the last like 15 days.
27:13I'm starting to think it's Bucky Irving.
27:15>> Buckyy's definitely a contender. I certainly think the answer is whichever one of those round five guys smashes the the guys who have been in that bucket
27:23this whole time. I swapped my answer from Tuton where I still think Tutin is a very good pick obviously, but to me
27:30it's Jadarian Price. I I think Price is it's all opening up for him. The the the fake Sharps report, oh, he's going to
27:37avoid the pup. Like that's gone. Like they're not even pretending about that anymore. George Halani was playing in the second quarter of the preseason game
27:43with Drew Lock. Like it's it's all it's all opening up for Price. And this is actually a point that you brought up to
27:50me for the first time, which is like the positive correlation between love and price. Just like positive correlation between collegiate teammates where
27:57you're not that sure and it turns out they're both good. So I I'm on board with that. And I just I just think like
28:05you couldn't have a guy more set up to smash than Price. And sure, Charbanet could come in and Kool-Aid, man, and
28:12just like ruin the whole thing. It's totally possible. But man, it it's so hard to to like this guy just rips off.
28:19He's the heart and soul of your team because you're such a running team. And then you're like, "Yeah, man. Charbanet, you go get in there, brother. You go.
28:25Maybe it'll happen. Maybe it'll happen."
28:27>> My one of the things with Price for me is because I'm in on Price. I don't think he's an absolute smash. I do think
28:34he's a good pick. Um particularly in the sixth. Um, but if Kenneth Walker had resigned, where do you think he would go?
28:44>> Where DeAndre Swift goes.
28:48>> Okay. So, that's not You're getting at maybe like a five pick discount from Walker to Price.
28:55>> Yeah.
28:56>> I think Walker would go higher than that.
29:00>> So, I think Walker would go >> People hate Kenneth Walker, Karine. Like whenever I talk about Kenneth Walker, people like he's always hurt. He sucks.
29:08Like at at the at the Flock League draft, Mason took him and everyone in the room was like, "Horrible pick.
29:14Grown banana banana tomato tomato awful pick. I'm the only one there."
29:19Like, "This guy's a smash." And the all the YouTube commenters agree like, "Oh, Kenneth Walker, awful pick, yada yada."
29:25I I would say he's the number one player who gets negged in my YouTube chat is Kenneth Walker. They hate him.
29:32I think probably more like three four turn, but I mean if you're right and he's in the fifth love. Yeah, that kind
29:39of range. Yeah, I think he'd be in that range. But I still don't think you're getting a huge discount on like, hey,
29:45you know who's good? Kenneth Walker. You know who might not be good? The guy who was a backup running back in college.
29:52You know, like there's I So I I think in the sixth round I like Price. In the late fifth I like him.
30:02Okay. But he's he's flipped Trayvon um now in high stakes. He's probably going to, you know, you could see you can see him going ahead of
30:13Tutin, going ahead of guys like Bucky. I think if he moves into that range again, I've just felt like he's basically the
30:20bridge between tiers. So if it's, you know, Tootton, Judkins, all those guys are off the board and then Price is still there. I love it. when he's in
30:30that group, I'm I have trouble prioritizing him. What What Why do you see him as such a smash? If you know,
30:36it's a two- down profile.
30:39Uh not a particularly voluminous offense. What What What is it?
30:42>> So, the one thing is is I'm I'm not certain it's a it's a two down profile in the sense that
30:48>> Okay, >> one, he's pretty explosive. And one of the things one of the things that we know >> is that um kick returns and punt returns
30:58correlate pretty well with receiving ability in the NFL.
31:01>> Like there there's a lot of evidence that like good punt and kick returners uh excel as receivers in the NFL. He was
31:08an like he was an awesome kick returner and the very limited receiving like I just watched some of his stuff the
31:15limited receiving work he got. I literally think he had 15 receptions. He looked pretty comfortable. And the Seahawks use Zack Charbanet who's fat
31:22and can't move and George Halani as their receiving down backs. Not to say that Price is going to be a receiving
31:27down back, but I do think in the the way their offense works kind of like the early down like I honestly kind of a
31:33Bucky Irving style role where even though he doesn't is not the quote third down back, he's still getting some receiving work. I'm not saying I don't
31:40think he can catch 60 passes, but if he caught 38 passes, I wouldn't be I wouldn't be like completely stunned. I
31:48just it's a it's a talent bet. I mean, frankly, the most boring thing that I can tell you is that the average
31:56statline um of a running back drafted in the first round for the last 10 years, someone just put this in my chat, is uh
32:031457 yards and nine touchdowns. That's just the aggregated stat line. No, of course that includes, you know, Saquon Barkley and Ezekiel like, you know,
32:11insanely good.
32:12>> There's some extremely talented players doing the >> even even if you look at the even if you look at the [ __ ] right? So, even if
32:18you look at the guys that objectively like that were bad picks in the first round, your your nis, your Josh Jacobs's, your Clyde Helair's, the only
32:28two out and out huge bus for first round running backs the last what since 2010.
32:35So what the last 17 years are Rashad Penny and CJ Spiller. Then there were some there were Oh, and David Wilson.
32:43>> Sony Michelle.
32:44>> Sony Michelle was 10 points per game while actively sucking ass.
32:50>> Yeah, but that's a bust in the fifth round.
32:52>> That's it's a bust. But like I'm like I also I als I I mean I I thought Sony Michelle was like a laughably
32:58hilariously bad draft pick at the time.
33:00Like this guy is like the most day three running back you're ever going to find.
33:03And I was ultimately proven correct because he was out of the NFL in like four years.
33:07>> Yeah. Yeah.
33:07>> Um I think Price is probably better.
33:10Price just profiles a little bit differently. The the guys who have been huge bus have been plotter types and Price is more like um
33:21his profile >> he's more like Penny in a way.
33:23>> I was going to say much more of like Penny or you know what the profile is like.
33:28>> It's like Kenneth Walker.
33:30>> Yeah. It's like Kenneth Walker if Kenneth Walker never did anything in college though.
33:35>> College smalled, you know? I it's it's like what I I truly I don't I don't >> Well, I hadn't considered college
33:41smledge. So that's uh >> so like all these things are true. One, the biggest explanatory variable for first three-year fantasy points per game
33:49for running backs is draft capital, right? Then it's receiving yards per team pass attempt. And it's like, well, what do I do when this guy played with
33:59the number three pick in the NFL draft and then chose not to transfer, but correct? This the crazy thing is he
34:06chose not to transfer for more NIL money, >> but was correct to do so because he ended up being a first round pick anyway
34:15>> and so he's going to make a ton of money. I don't really know what to do with that information other than that
34:22he he must have bet on himself and and was right. And and the other thing is is he um he tore his Achilles as a
34:31freshman. So that if he had not done that >> Yeah. Was it an Achilles? I thought it was >> it might have been but yeah might maybe
34:41it was Achilles.
34:43>> So I I'll look it up right now. um that probably hampered his ability.
34:48>> You're right. It's Achilles.
34:50>> So that hampered his ability to transfer, I would assume.
34:52>> Well, it also explains why Love ended up there cuz he was a year ahead. So he he he tore Achilles in the summer before. I
35:00knew that the timing of the injury was before he played at all. So you have you bring in Jaden Price as a running back
35:08at your Notre Dame, right? He tears his Achilles.
35:12You never get to see him in game action.
35:15Then you recruit Love. Now Love's there.
35:19And Price is coming back from an Achilles tear and Love's a star. So you're going to just play. And then I
35:26think Estime was still there that year as well. So you have Esté and Love and you're coming back from an Achilles
35:32tears to Jadarian Price. The following year, Love's a starter. Price is behind him and then the same thing happens his senior year, but he never had a chance
35:43when without Love there to show what he could do. And I don't think it's a huge indictment on Price that Notre Dame
35:50recruited Love and had him as their clear starter because what what are they supposed to expect from Price? You know, a lot of times they don't get anything
35:57from this guy now.
35:59>> So, yeah. Yeah, I mean, I think Price could be. It's a type of situation that sets up for a guy who's actually far
36:06more talented than you would expect. Um, and obviously the Seahawks saw what they needed to see in limited tape, but you
36:14know, he's uh he's not a he's not as athletic as I was hoping. I I thought he was going to be like an absolute amazing
36:20athlete. He's he's kind of smaller than you would think and not super duper athletic but >> probably athletic enough. in the
36:28pre-draft stuff. I had 25% of him. He was so cheap. Um, so I'm in on it's he's a little bit like stribbling to me where
36:36like when I just get to bet on, you know, like, hey, like things could kind of break his way and I know the profile
36:46isn't perfect, but there's there's reason to think like he could get a lot of opportunity year one.
36:52And it's cheap. I was in as it's gotten more expensive. It's just harder for me where you're you're now, you know,
36:59you're betting on him as opposed to a guy like Judkins, right? Like Judkins Judkins can play. He's a two he's more
37:06of a two down guy, too, but he can he can play. Now he's on the Browns, which is a bummer, but like I know Judkins can
37:13carry the load. I know he's a good runner. Um, so you know, the rookie thing works against you at a certain point where you
37:22just don't know how how good he actually is. There's upside, but there's downside.
37:27>> There's I mean there's a ton of there's a ton of downside. I just like the it the big thing is is that the team h
37:37like wants to run the ball a ton like just like at they are so committed. They so do not want Sam Darnold dropping back
37:4535 times game. The defense is great.
37:46He's going to get all these He's going to get all these positive game scripts.
37:51Um that I that I absolutely I mean I just I think is set up really well. Like >> the the expected points in the Seahawks
37:59backfield last year was actually insanely high. It was just split between two dudes and the one dude is not going to be able to play until like November.
38:11>> Yeah. Yeah. No, that's that's true. Um, I do want, you know, it is strange that they didn't feed Kenneth Walker. Not as
38:20a new OC. So maybe the the new plan is just to feed Jaren Price. Um, but yeah, I mean that that's
38:29with a rookie running back with like kind of uncertain pedigree in some ways like I I want them to be priced more like R.J.
38:39Harvey or something where it's like, you know, like I don't need you to carry the load. It's a little concerning to me
38:44like, hey, guy who's never carried the load and it's actually not that big.
38:48>> Like you're you're you know, you're going to carry the load and be priced like an immediate starter who, you know,
38:56we can we can count on to like reliably score right away. And that's where like the Sony Michelle stuff comes in for me
39:03where it's like we have seen that not work.
39:06Uh, you know.
39:08>> Yeah. I mean, of course, I I grant like if if Jadarian Price had been the 16th overall pick, like some team had
39:18like tra I don't know like if he had been I Cowboys maybe. I'm trying to think of a team that needed a running back that
39:27that was a good team that could have traded up for him. Like if the if the Saints had drafted him instead of
39:33signing ETN, >> he'd be a second round pick and you just have to pay it and you just have to eat
39:38it despite the the questions about his ability.
39:41>> I don't think that's true because ETN's a fourth round pick.
39:46>> Market doesn't think ETN's that good, right?
39:50>> But like ETN's probably better than Jadarian Price.
39:52>> It's probably better. Yeah, maybe I'm wrong. I don't know where I guess is there a situation he would have been a
39:57second round pick.
39:59>> The Chiefs.
40:01>> Chiefs. Yeah. Yeah. That's probably it.
40:02That's probably the only It's probably >> And even then I think he'd probably be two three turn cuz cuz Love peaked at
40:09the two three turn. Like I think there'd be a lot of drafters. Maybe right now he'd be in the second round, but it
40:16would have taken a while because people like, you know, I don't know where you would have landed on this because the
40:22Chiefs, maybe you would have been pro Price ahead of Love, but it would have taken a lot for like hardcore dynasty-minded people to be like, "Yep,
40:30I'm taking Jadarian Price ahead of Jeremiah Love, the guy he backed up."
40:35Like, that seems kind of nuts.
40:37>> I don't I don't know. That that would have been That's like a really interesting wrinkle. like what would have had to have happened for the
40:43dynasty market to flip. I don't think I don't think there's anything that could have done that.
40:48>> Yeah, even the Chiefs I think it it could have now. I think it now could have, but like I love high ankle price
40:56gets all this this buzz. The Chiefs clear starter.
41:00>> So you think you think Bucky is the is the best?
41:03>> Yeah. Where are you at on Bucky?
41:05>> So I've done I mean I think I've done the same thing everyone else did, which is the vibes aren't that good. the
41:09shoulder. They're talking a lot about Kenny Gainwell to Why the [ __ ] am I worried about Kenny Gainwell, man? Come
41:15on. It's Kenny Gainwell. Like, it's all good. They're talking about maybe cutting Shawn Tucker. Ultimately, I don't think that will happen, but just
41:22even the fact that it's in the ether is not great. And >> it's not >> I It's It's good for Bucky.
41:29>> It's good for Bucky.
41:30>> Yeah.
41:30>> I mean, I'm just even as a prospect, I just was never that much of a Bucky guy, you know? like a it's gonna be gonna you
41:38guys know it's hard for me to sell myself on a 3.5 RAS guy, you know, like it's just not it's not it's not my
41:44thing. He I uh I was just starting on the Legendary Upside article. I'd not gotten all the way through it. And I and
41:52you don't you only go through the first three rounds, right? So Buckyy's He's >> I do the first I'm going to do the that
41:57article covers round one. I'm working on I'm hoping to finish the one that we'll cover round two tomorrow and and get it
42:03up Saturday morning and then I'm gonna write up round I'm gonna only do so what I do for that article if people aren't
42:10familiar and it's free by the way on Legendary Upside and if you want to check out the audio version uh the
42:15Legendary Upside podcast has uh me narrating it. So yeah, check it out. Um, and what I do for that article is I I
42:24travel to the future and I observe and then report back exactly what happens.
42:28Um, what these guys score when they have the legendary 23 plus point per game type season that just means you had to
42:36have them. U but then I also travel to a different future where they >> they >> are they suck. They they're healthy, but
42:44they're kind of like Genty last year where you're looking at like half the expected advance rate the second you take them. Uh even though you get 17
42:54games and for the for the guys in rounds uh three plus, I'm not going to do the second one. I'm just going to look at the
43:03legendary upside aspect of it because that is the classic dead zone. we understand that those guys have risk otherwise they'd be going higher. Um,
43:14and so I'm more interested in what does it look like when everything goes right?
43:18Do these profiles actually have upside?
43:21Because that's what that's the big thing that Gretch looked at, you know, when he was writing about the dead zone five years ago or whatever or six years
43:28ago. It was there's no upside here.
43:32That's the problem. You're taking guys that don't score. like of course there's risk uh because they're running backs who are who aren't going very highly and
43:40they're actually they come with with limited ceilings and so you're kind of taking this these bets that are tilted to the downside. So with Bucky it's it's
43:51going to be fairly easy.
43:53>> I've already kind of mapped it out like it's going to be pretty easy.
43:56>> Yeah, >> his profile is tilted towards the downside which is why I've had a hard time getting here.
44:02>> No, no, I think it's tilted to the upside. See, I I have a hard time because I'm like, man, he loses the high
44:08value touches in so many >> not if Tucker's not a not a factor.
44:12>> Tucker if Tucker is legitimately not a part of the rotation, it becomes a lot clearer. And swapping out for Rashad
44:19White, swapping out Rashad White for Gainwell is kind of interesting because actually you made this point to me last night, which is that Rashad White
44:26actually is like a fine goal linebacker.
44:28Like he wouldn't you wouldn't hire him to do that job, but if you put him in that role, he's fine at it. Whereas
44:33Gainwell's even smaller, a little bit more like water bug style. Not that Gainwell is like him and Bucky are basically the same size. Bucky is just
44:42way better than Gainwell.
44:44>> Right. Right. And I I also think like one thing to think through the Bucky thing is okay. So if Tucker's not a
44:50factor, Tucker not being a factor is is huge for me. that like that's the way I'm you know that that's like a very
44:56important part of it because Tucker I I thought you know when they tendered Tucker it's like okay this is like $3.5
45:05million that's like a pretty good amount of money to spend on a third string running back they clearly are going to
45:11have plans for him he's not going to be zero and what does he do he's really he's good at the goal line he's a bigger
45:17guy he's kind of a banger but he's got some you know once he gets rolling he can actually have some breakaway stuff
45:23like he's a he's a good runner that if you're getting squeezed from a good runner who could be good at the goal
45:29line and a good receiving back then that's a trapback that's just a guy you're getting between the 20s touches you're paying fourth round prices for
45:38that seems bad um but if Tucker's not a factor I was just thinking like okay what if I took the Steelers backfield
45:48from last year and just brought them to Tampa Bay we got Kenny Gainwell Well, we get Jaylen Warren. Buckyy's gone.
45:54Tucker's gone. Everyone's gone except those two guys. What? I'm taking Warren currently at the 67 turn. Would I take Warren in the fifth if he just got moved
46:05over to to Tampa Bay? I think I would.
46:09He's behind a great offensive line.
46:11>> Well, you Hey, you certainly would. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if the market would.
46:15>> I Yeah, maybe they wouldn't. But you know what? the market I agree with directionally there that Bucky is better than Warren and so
46:25why can't I like I would I would definitely strongly consider taking Warren in the fifth. Why am I not hammering Bucky in the fifth if it's
46:31really just going to be him and Gainwell? Gainwell's going to siphon off some work, but Bucky Bucky can catch passes. That's that's the thing when I
46:38was looking at, you know, the numbers for the legendary upside stuff. It's like, you know, he's still going to catch plenty of passes. Warren caught passes
46:47last year even with Gainwell. Gainwell caught a ton of passes last year. Warren still got there to an extent. You know,
46:53he I think he had like 40ish 40-ish receptions last year. Um Buckyy's still going to have some receiving.
47:01>> I I don't know if the overall expected points in the Buccaneers backfield will be as high as it was for the Steelers
47:06because Ro like just the way Rogers distributes the throws. Um, a frankly a lot of it is pending like do you get
47:152024 Baker Mayfield or 2025 Baker Mayfield. If you get 2024 Mayfield, yeah, I mean that's a huge chunk of like
47:22Bucky is way way better. I frankly, if we're just if I'm just going to keep it 100% real, I just am like
47:30kind of biased against Bucky and all guys of his archetype. So, it's so hard for me to be like, "Yeah, man. this
47:37little guy who is like pretty productive but just uh an okay prospect in my mind.
47:45It's especially when they get there on efficiency, they get there on fantasy points over expectation. It's so hard for me to be like, "Yeah, man. I'm just
47:54going to press the button so hard on this guy." Like I can acknowledge all of I can acknowledge all the points being
47:59true, but then I'm like, "Yeah, man. But Quinn Sean Judkins is 230 pounds and he's going to have multiple 30 rush
48:04games, you know?" And it's just like it's it's it's one of those it's just kind of one of those things for me that
48:10I I acknowledge that I'm like my position is the the the least the less defensible one.
48:18>> Yeah. Bucky is a little bit of an outlier and then he's like super unathletic by the the combine stuff. But
48:23I mean you watch him play you understand like he's got no top gear. Like if you need it from like the 30 yard, you know,
48:34from if you're doing a 40 from like the 30 to the 40 >> is got to be there's like nothing. He
48:42doesn't accelerate anymore.
48:44>> It's the Chairen thing where he can generate chunk plays, but he can't >> generate explosives. Like he'll get you a lot of like 13 yard gains, but he's
48:53going to struggle to get you the 34 yard gains >> 100%. But I mean that that yeah those 13 14 yard gains like those are pretty
49:01sweet >> if you're if you're delivering him consistently and he accelerates really quickly. That's the thing with Bucky.
49:06It's like he's up to speed.
49:08>> There's not much speed but he gets there immediately and he's decisive as a runner too. Like just watching him compared to Rashad White was like so
49:16illuminating. You're like oh you know White's White kind of has the Levian Bell style but he never makes the move.
49:24You know, it's kind of like like if Levian Bell kind of did the skipping thing, but like the whole time, you know
49:29what I mean? And Versad White is like an elite athlete. If he did just pick the hole and go, he'd be pretty good. But he
49:36he doesn't. So, >> yeah.
49:39>> Yeah.
49:40>> But yeah. So, who's your who would you have at uh wide receiver?
49:44>> So, I I my my like glib answer that I want to do is Parker Washington, but I don't I don't really believe it. And the
49:52reason I don't really believe it is I just think like all the Jags wide receivers including Hunter will probably have stretches where people will be like
49:59posting their exposures like I'm such a genius dude. You guys were letting they traded for Jacobe Meyers and extended him and you were drafting Casey Conpsion
50:09over him. You guys were letting Travis Hunter go to round what like whatever.
50:13You guys weren't draft the coach told you that Parker Washington was his number one wide rece like it's going to happen all year for all those guys.
50:21Yeah.
50:21>> Uh my my real answer at wide receiver is Burden. Burden. He's just like he's going to be a superstar. We're going to
50:27take him at the one two turn next year.
50:29He is going to get I I actually can't remember if we were if I was doing this with you and Jacob last night or if this
50:35was on the the one Missou and those guys, but like he is getting the scam.
50:41He's the scam stuff. The stuff that Ben Johnson stays awake until two o'clock in the morning diagramming to get at 13
50:48yards. That's all going to Burton. not going to Rome. Rome is the he's, you know, he's a good ex receiver, but he's
50:55an ex receiver and that is the the NFL right now is just kind of drifting away from that style of of guy. He has proven
51:03the efficiency part. I mean, his fantasy points over expectation or like fantasy points per route is insane. He's a great athlete. His prospect profile was weird
51:11in the sense that his junior year was a down year, but it still was like a decent dominator rating. Also, I just
51:18recently realized this because I got into an argument with someone about why was Theoise better than him. And if you re like so you have to kind of do a
51:27little bit of kajjiggering, but he had 150 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns his final season at Missouri.
51:33And if you just count those as receptions, then all of a sudden he's the best receiver. His dominator rating goes back to 30% or whatever again. And
51:41fr I'd have to go back and watch the plays to see if they were screens or ender rounds or whatever they were. But
51:47I just think I I just one I think he's awesome. Two, it's a great bet on Caleb Williams, who I think is also awesome.
51:54And I think the year one to year two improvement from Caleb Williams is like what other quarterback has gotten that much better year one to year two? It's
52:04like Josh Allen. That's it. Most quarterbacks who are as bad as Caleb they they they get like I just it's all
52:13it's just one of those things that are all it's all culminating like Roma Dun foot injury you know it's just it's all
52:21coming together I I think it's I think it's burdened >> well the Roman foot injury is I think been a little bit overblown I mean he
52:27said that >> it's fake I mean he said you just immediately yeah I know well that's fake uh he said this is my new normal and
52:38people like oh new normal bad he's No, it's not bad. This is fine. Like, it's my foot doesn't hurt. It's good. Um,
52:46yeah. I I mean, I I like Burden, too. I I do think, you know, he's been tough to get a ton of exposure to just given the
52:53price, but I I've done my best to not get too underweight on him. Um, but I I am underweight on him. I'm just
53:02not like super underweight. Uh, and yeah, I've I've got him in a 555. I've I'm at like 5% overall. I just have
53:11found him hard to prioritize uh in the fourth round. One of the reasons for a long time is because I was
53:19taking Jaylen Waddle, who I who would be my answer um of kind of the more expensive receivers. I think >> love that answer. I think I think the
53:28Wadd answer is great. I I think we could see I think we could see Jaylen Wadd >> uh >> I mean return to where we've already
53:36drafted him which is the second round of fantasy football you know >> exactly >> uh just just like where where he has
53:42already gone uh I mean they led the NFL in pass attempts last year they traded him they traded a >> they're talking about passing more
53:50>> they traded a first for him none of us are really big believers in Portland Sutton all all that stuff like just yeah
53:57>> uh that I don't like I feel like The Jail and Waddle thing is like serious people just all get it. They don't even
54:02have to be explained. The only people that have to be explained are the unserious people who are like >> blue tent.
54:08>> But his but his address is the blue tent, dude. You know, >> blue 10 way, bro.
54:15>> Exactly. Uh and then my my cheaper answer is is a a very non-legup play which is Matthew Golden.
54:24>> That is a non-legup play. What? So, on the Golden stuff, I would just like to kind of
54:35Yeah, I I want to like lay out why I don't think Golden is a good pick. And it really is about
54:43>> because he's only ever been bad at playing organiz >> Well, yeah, it is because he's only ever been bad at football. I don't know if
54:50that moves the needle for you. It's not great from where I'm sitting. Um, yeah, let's start there. Actually, he's only
54:59ever been bad when playing football. He, uh, you know, he he goes to Texas. He's
55:05playing alongside Isaiah Bond, who also >> uh, No, he wasn't. He didn't play with Worthy. No, he didn't play with Worthy.
55:16>> He never played with that team.
55:18>> He was at Houston.
55:19>> Oh, you're No, you're right. Because he was at Houston. Yeah.
55:22>> Yeah. So, he's at Houston. He has a 20% dominator rating.
55:2524% the following year and then 22% his his junior year. None of those are are great numbers. None of them are
55:34terrible. Like if he had a a big season to close, you'd be like, "Oh, damn.
55:38Okay. Yeah, he was always productive and then he has the breakout." But he doesn't have the breakout. He finishes with 1.82
55:44yards per team attempt at Texas, which is not good. And uh you know, he's with Quinn Eers, so we did the Quinn Eers
55:52excuse for him.
55:54which you know there's I get it on yours is not good but for a college quarterback he's not horrible.
56:01>> We got to stop drafting University of Texas Austin players until we figure this out. They've had a million guys get
56:07drafted in the first and second round of drafts the last like four years and they've all been bad except for >> Ady Mitchell Xavier Worthy. Um Xavier
56:16Worthy is probably might be the best of them.
56:19>> So Golden has 2.10 10 yards per yards per route run that final season, which which would be good if it was the NFL,
56:24but it it wasn't. You you want you want that quite a bit higher. So, that was a concern as well. And anyway, I left the
56:32light on for Golden. He's a first round pick. He ends up in a good situation. I drafted some of them. Then, he got crazy
56:38expensive last year on offseason hype that didn't materialize. And now we head into year two and I've got a guy who
56:46still hasn't been good at football and a team who is more incentivized to look at what he's going to do in the beginning
56:52of the season than the end where last year it was the opposite, you know, to to an extent. I mean, he didn't actually
56:59kind of he kind of played and then stopped playing and then they got Watson back. But if it doesn't work with
57:05Golden, we'll know soon, which is bad. We don't want to know soon. We want to know as late as possible because we would like
57:14to scam our way to some week 17 production even if he sucks. And this is this is I think the downside of the
57:21secondyear wide receiver archetype is that they actually they can bust pretty hard. They can bust in a way that really hurts your baseball teams where you're
57:30getting some production early in the season, but not an incredibly cheap price and that production doesn't really move the needle for you. And then
57:38they're they're not really doing much by the end of the season. He's kind of just a sacrificial X-T type dude by the end
57:44of the year. That's that's my concern with Golden. I have him uh like one spot above ADP in my main event rankings,
57:53but I'm I'm behind in in baseball. I think that downside is what people aren't factoring in enough, not just with Golden, but like the kind of the
58:02whole the the secondyear wide receiver archetype. I think people because it's been such a it's been one that we know to target in rethraft has taught us you
58:11target the second year wide receivers, but I think best baseball like Keon Cole Keon Coleman really hurts in baseball.
58:17that secondyear bust that like the Taylen Burke secondyear bust, you know, Rashad Baitman, like these guys hurt.
58:26They they really drag down rosters because they're they're going, >> you know what, Golden It's like Golden is the Baitman line from that whatever
58:34that was and and and like wide receiver 48 like exact same position and everything. Same same area of the draft.
58:43>> What's funny though is Baitman ends up having his best year the year after that. the year after everyone left him
58:48for dead. My my primary argument for Golden is this. I think he has the physical tools. I think that is pretty
58:55evident. I think that he had opportunities to be much better on fan in in fantasy last year as as well documented on all of our podcasting
59:04together. He however didn't did not do that. Got benched effectively
59:11for a cast of of veterans. and I did have his best game in the playoffs, which I still don't really know what to make of that. The reason
59:21why I'm in on Golden, so frankly, it's it's similar to why I changed my tune on Parker Washington. It's why I have I
59:28mean, I was always going to be in on Burton, but I've gotten even more in on Burton, which is their whole plan as a team does not make
59:37any sense unless they think that Golden is going to be a big part of it. You jettison your two veteran wide
59:41receivers. You don't I guess they did finally sign a backup tight end and Jon Smith because Musgrave is on the IR, but
59:48like everyone associated with the Packers thinks this is going to be the most pass attempts Jordan Love has ever had. Like they're talking about playing
59:54faster. Josh Jacobs now seems like he's going to be suspended. Like you're So you're counting on Marshon Lloyd. You didn't add Naji Harrison free agency.
60:01Feels like they probably should have added Naji Harrison free agency by the way now seeing this um this Jacob stuff.
60:07And it's like either you're saying Jaden Reed is about to be a Giga Mega Breakout because we're gonna pass for the the great like more than we ever
60:17have or or Golden. And the limited stuff we've seen of them in preseason and in like Packers Family Night and stuff is
60:24that Jaden Reed's going to play the same role he always has, which is like a more a more limited role.
60:30It's a more limited role in playing time, but it's a pretty valuable role, you know, from a targets per outr run
60:37perspective. And like he's he's good at what he does. They get him some design stuff. Uh typically, you know, last year
60:46he was hurt for a huge chunk of the year, which which didn't help, but um you know, he had he had 1.95 yards per
60:54route run as as a rookie and then 2.20 in a as a sophomore. falls to 1.67 last year as he plays through multiple
61:00injuries. Um or I guess he played through an injury and then had another injury that cost him time. But yeah, I
61:09mean I think I think Jaden Reed went on the field is going to draw targets at a pretty high rate. Uh he he has a 21%
61:16targets per out run over the course of his career. He won't be on the field all the time, but even when it's in 12, if
61:24that's John Smith now, he actually earns targets for it more than Josh Wy or whatever. And then Tucker Craft >> is is a pretty good target earner, too.
61:35And Christian Watson can earn targets deep downfield uh at a at a much higher rate than the typical receiver cuz he's really good.
61:44So, I just, you know, like Golden goes near Dobs. He goes ahead of Dobs.
61:51Dobs is a lockedin wide receiver on the outside with the Patriots. He's gonna I'm not don't have any concerns about route participation. They just traded
62:00Booty. He plays with a better quarterback. And I'm pretty sure he's better than Matthew Golden because he just played ahead of him. Now granted,
62:08Golden was a rookie. Golden could take a step forward, but like why am I supposed to take Matthew go? If the goal is to like stack bets that hit
62:17and I can't change it later, why am I taking Matthew Golden ahead of Romeo Dobs?
62:26>> Romeo Dobs isn't as fun. You know, ultimately like the the real answer is like we've just seen what is in the
62:36range of outcomes for Dobs and it's fine. It's total like I I think Dobs will have a a 10% advance rate or like
62:43he's gonna be he could be good. He could he could run hot >> he could run hot on touchdowns or six
62:4916% that's average, right?
62:50>> You're saying yeah 16%'s average.
62:52>> Yeah. Yeah. Like he he'll be he'll be he'll be fine. Yeah. Like I I don't think I don't think Dobs is a is a bad
62:58pick. I just think the range of outcomes for Golden is uh I just think it includes a lot of really
63:08good stuff. I just think it I think it includes a lot of deep touchdowns. Like I I think one of the things I'll be
63:14really interested to see really early on is are they doing any of the creative stuff with Golden? Is he getting any is
63:21he getting like crossers? Is he getting like some cool stuff over the middle field or is he >> that's big >> to like is he totally out on the
63:30boundary, right? Is he which doesn't make sense because Watson is like quite good at that role. Watson is is really really good at you know winning man on
63:40the outside, you know.
63:42>> Yeah. Although he's replacing Dobs, who was also boundary X, you know, types type duties. And we'll see. like I I think he's kind of
63:52in a big boy role, you know, he's he does he's do being asked to do real things at an, you know, at an NFL real
63:59wide receiver level. Um, which is, you know, a pretty big ask for a guy who's never been good at professional football
64:07at any level, you know, I would say. So, you know, I tongue and cheek there, but I think the getting him. So, one thing I would say
64:17with Golden is that's kind of goes to my second year wide receiver point where like I think it's more likely to the
64:23extent that we do see some more like scheme stuff, design stuff, easy button stuff, it's at the beginning of the year
64:28than the end of the year because they're unless he's really good. Like if you get the breakout, then like yeah, you you
64:33win. But if you don't get the breakout, what happens? And this where I take it to the rookies like okay I'm down in
64:41this range and I'm looking at a a Casey Conpsion uh who goes uh still 10 picks after after Golden.
64:53If it like if Casey Conpsion doesn't get off to a fast start and they're kind of using more Jerry Judy and more Boston
65:01like is that it for Conpion or are they going to try to see hey is this guy what do we have in him? Let's, you know,
65:07let's try some other stuff. Let's let's uh let's move him around the formation a little bit more. Can we get more out of
65:11this guy? We're evaluating, you know, we just spent a first round pick on him. Is he is he really is he really nothing?
65:18Like that's what the end of the rookie season can become.
65:22The Packers are going to kind of know by probably by mid-season if they have anything in Golden. And if they don't, I
65:28think they're just going to this is a playoff team. This is I mean it's a team in fighting for fighting for their
65:33playoff spot, but they view themselves as a playoff team. This is the probably the hardest division in in football.
65:37They're not going to dick around with the golden stuff if it's not working.
65:40They're going to go to Reed and Watson and Craft. Those guys can all play. Like they know they can play.
65:47>> Yeah. I I And if I'm being I'm going to take truth serum right now.
65:53>> Okay.
65:54>> Part of it is also like I like watch Matthew Golden play. I'm like, man, I think he's pretty [ __ ] good, dude. I
66:01just like I I I I There is the skill to separate
66:10deep is so hard for NFL receivers. Like you you you end up just watching so many of these guys run these deep routes and
66:18the the defensive backs are just like in their jock and the limited deep targets that Golden got last year. He generated
66:27a ton of separation. why Jordan Love missed him so many times because he was open on all these routes and and also
66:33like I know it's it's kind of hard to parse these things. In fact, I I I wouldn't even know how to do it uh in a
66:42in a numerate way.
66:43>> But when Texas got serious in 2024, >> they stopped using Isaiah Bond and Matthew Golden was their best player. He
66:53smashed against Florida. He smashed against Arkansas. eight for 162 against Georgia. He wins them the College Football Playoff, catches the the game
67:01winner in the College Football Playoff in a huge game.
67:03>> He was awesome down the stretch.
67:05>> And I'm just like I don't even I'm sure that's probably just total noise. And like if you shake that thing, I'm sure
67:10you could go back and find um although funny the the anecdotal one that I have on that is that Pat Bryant caught three
67:17walk-off touchdowns for Illinois. Uh, and it turns out Pat Bryant might be kind of good now based on I'm based on a
67:23lot of things and I'm just like I I just don't that was one of my original like what are we going to do with this guy
67:30who went in the first round who's got this weird analytical profile is he was their best player in the biggest games
67:36like he was he was awesome for them. Um, and again, like I'm sure you could go back and be like, "Yeah, Xavier Leette
67:43in in the biggest game of South Carolina season smasher or Jonathan Mingo or whatever, but I I just I I don't know. I think it
67:51is I think it is a talent bet."
67:54>> Yeah. No, I'm with you. And uh this this comment I think is is good. Golden could be the Green Bay wide receiver one ahead
68:01of Watson. Dobs is never going to be wide receiver one ahead ahead of AJ Brown. I agree with that.
68:07This I is goes it sums up kind of what I'm trying to say about reddraft versus best baseball. And we're like our conversations this summer have
68:18been so much more focused on best. And the best game does not require me to hit a home run with every single pick. It
68:27requires me to put a team together that accomplishes what you have to do to, you know, get through a round be top two in
68:33a round of 12 and then win a pod. win a pod and then score a bunch of points in week 17. But to do that, you have to
68:40have a team with a lot of firepower on it. And a guy like Dobs, who might not be the wide receiver one, but is the
68:48wide receiver two on a Drake May offense, but I like know I have that.
68:54That has a lot of value in a baseball setting. That that kind of, you know, that the higher probability that he is
69:02something has a lot of value in reddraft. I totally get the golden play more. You know, it's it's like, look, if
69:10it doesn't work, it doesn't work. We're going to take other we're going to swing other ways. I still don't think he's one
69:15of the better upside swings. I think there's more fun and and frankly higher upside swings. Um, but I I totally understand it and I have him like right
69:26at ADP in the main event. Um, so he's not a fade for me there, but yeah, I think it's a baseball reddraft thing to
69:34a degree. And one that I I still think in baseball that's part of the edge is is people know how to play fantasy
69:42football, but when they say that, they mean reddraft. And so putting better baseball rosters together is still a pretty big edge. I I ultimately you
69:53you're right that he's a much better reddraft pick than a baseball pick.
69:58You're you're ultimately very correct about that which is he has so much volatility in his profile. There's like a couple like I've learn obviously
70:06learned a lot about about baseball from yourself and from Sack and from Shady and and The Sims and Sidekick and all
70:13this stuff, but I I still allow myself to have some some hope and some some wishes and some dreams, you know, as a
70:20as a treat. And >> Golden is a treat at uh at tight end.
70:25Kraine, I I'm very curious your answer because I have I have two tight ends at Apison's ends of the spectrum who I
70:33think are going to to define the season, but I'm I'm very curious yours. Um, yeah, >> I have two tight ends also at the
70:41opposite end of the spectrum. Um, >> I'm gonna I'm going to guess one of yours is Loveland.
70:47>> No.
70:48>> Okay.
70:48>> Oh, I I see what you mean at the opposite end of the spectrum. I thought you meant early and late. These are two
70:53guys I'm thinking of two guys I like um early and late.
70:58>> Hit me.
70:59>> So yeah, I mean I'm gonna say Brock Bowers.
71:03>> Bowers Bowers is Bowers is Yeah.
71:05>> Yeah. If you if Bowers is yours, I'll say McBride then. I think McBride actually have more McBride than Bowers because you can get him in the third
71:12round. I think third round McBride the year after he had the massive breakout is going to be one of those ones where
71:18we're like, why did we do that? That was weird of us. you know, just mid- third round all the time.
71:26>> It seems insane. I mean, I I like I like McBride more on DraftKings uh full full PPR with the scam.
71:35>> Bowers, I don't care. I think he's great in both.
71:38>> I don't even like my case there is I have higher expectations for what Clint Kubak can do. Although I actually do
71:46think the Genty injury, which while we we have been on air, >> Genty posted uh a Bible verse about like enduring hardship on his Instagram.
71:57>> So the last guy I remember doing that is Bucky Irving before he missed like 10 games.
72:02>> So I'm getting some bearish signals from that.
72:05>> Yeah. Yeah.
72:06>> And I I think that does matter. I I actually think Gent is like such a singular force that going from him to
72:11Mike Washington is quite bad. I I agree that it's bad. Yeah.
72:16>> Um but Bowowers is just like he is basically the combo of prospect plus first year plus what he did while
72:23healthy last year is basically as good of a 22year-old tight end. He's turning 23 now as we've seen since Grank, >> you know.
72:34>> Yeah.
72:34>> It's it's it's that good. Like McBride is four years older and h and was a four-year player. Bowowers was a
72:41three-year player. McBride rode the pine for 25 games behind Zack Herz before he finally, you know, broke out. Like Bowowers when he has the rookie record
72:52for receptions in a season, period. Not not tight end, just overall. Like it's it's no bismerchment on Trey McBride.
73:00It's just I think Bowowers is like a oneofone Hall of Fame. Like we're like 20 years from now, we're going to say, you know,
73:08Gates, Kelsey, Grank, Bowers. Those were the those were the those were the guys, you know.
73:13>> Yeah.
73:15Yeah. Now, I I think you're right. And I think you know who's the analytics guy that was with the Raiders that said he
73:22was going to break the receptions record or something.
73:24>> Ryan Ryan Pgnetti.
73:26>> Yeah, Ryan Pnetti. I don't know if if Ryan if that that information is accurate, but I choose to believe that
73:31it is because I drafted a ton of Bowers last year and I believed he was also going to absolutely smash. So the PCL
73:40thing is, you know, really unfortunate that derailed his season. Luckily, he played through, you know, it to a degree and he looks healthy now. But, um, yeah,
73:50I mean, he's got he's got the potential to be there JSN, you know, and just have the entire offense run through him. I
73:56think it is better if Genty is healthy because um for one thing, Genty is useful in the passing game and so you
74:04can kind of have the offense be focused around your two key weapons in Bowowers and Genty while still dropping back.
74:13Whereas if your number one running back's Mike Washington, you're not going to drop back as much. Uh, I don't think, you know, you don't have when you drop
74:22back, you have one less weapon than you do when Genti is healthy. Uh, which is, you know, it's probably gonna affect
74:28play calling a little bit. So, >> yeah, I'm hoping Genti's uh good for a number of reasons, but Bowers is one of
74:35those. And uh man, but if if things if you know if Mendoza is good, if Jenty's healthy, if the line plays better as it
74:44should with Colton Miller back, Bowers can just absolutely nuke.
74:49>> Yeah. Who's your Who's your cheap one?
74:51>> Dalton Schultz.
74:53Dalton Schultz is my uh >> my drafted tight end.
74:57>> Like he's just a good advance rate. He's just a good I I have like nothing interesting to say. He's just a
75:01perfectly He is the definition of perfectly chromulent. The funny thing about that, I didn't even realize this till just now, but Daltton Schultz is my
75:10highest drafted tight end currently and my highest drafted tight end from the pre-draft period.
75:18>> Yeah.
75:19>> So, just all like literally since the conference championship games, I've been drafting Dalton Schultz. He just hasn't been priced at a at a you know, in a
75:29range that makes sense for how productive he was last year. and he doesn't face a ton of I know they drafted Marlon Klene and you know they
75:37it's possible they they bring down his his you know rout participation and stuff and his snaps a bit but I think
75:44largely he's pretty locked into a to a good role and just go so much later than some of the other tight ends that I
75:51think he's even a better click then um Jacob tried to get us on him uh over Mahomes the other night and the only
76:00reason I think you know not to have taken Mahomes there is that Daltton Schultz is an awesome click in tight end
76:05premium. Uh, and he's he's an awesome click. He's an awesome click in like all the formats because he's just too cheap.
76:11It's not it's not sexy, but it's it's I think I think it makes you money.
76:16>> Yeah. Yeah. It's how it's how winning basketball teams are made, you know, that I completely agree. Mine is obviously T Ferg, you know, just give me
76:25>> Yeah.
76:26>> 80 82 targets, uh 59 receptions, 704 yards, and seven touchdowns.
76:35>> 704 yards.
76:38>> He's going to average like 18 yards a reception. No, he probably won probably like 14.
76:45>> Kyle, what did Kyle Pitts have for the entirety of last year?
76:48>> Oh my god. Are we He's going to do Kyle Pittz. So 704 yards would make him That's more than Colston Lovelin had
76:55last year. Although I guess Lovelin didn't play for a while.
76:57>> He didn't play.
76:58>> Yeah, it's more than Ronda Gadston. I think you you'd be hardressed to have him produce more than Gatson did. Gatson
77:05only played 15 games, but even >> he will he will outproduce Aronda Gatson season from last year.
77:11>> Wow. I mean, if if he outproduces Aronda Gatson, then I'm going to wish I had been drafting Terence Ferguson. That was
77:17>> I frankly frankly he will easily outproduce Arande Gatson from last year.
77:24>> There the whole the whole plane the whole plane is built out of the idea that Ferguson can play this role that
77:33McVey invented.
77:35Because if if if Ferguson can't, McVey is going to have to reconfigure the offense in the middle of the season.
77:44He's gonna, which he did last year, by the way, >> which he does all the time. He does like >> I'm not saying he can't do. I'm just
77:49betting he can't. I'm just betting this like bespoke wide receiver three tight end to like move tight end. I mean, uh,
77:58like if you all I think this is really interesting.
78:01All his receptions last year came from not being lined like lined up as a wide receiver. Like he was not he never he
78:10never had his hands in the dirt. So this whole like Parkinson uh like concern it's like I Kobe Park Kobe Parkinson could be anyone. It
78:20doesn't it doesn't matter.
78:22>> See this is this is where I differ. I do think it matters. I think you want as many rounds as you can get.
78:28>> His his play action participation rate shout out to legendaryupside.com will be it'll be below whatever your filters are. It it he won't he won't meet your
78:40uh guidelines.
78:43Yeah, >> he'll be below he'll be bel or those threat he'll be below those thresholds.
78:49>> Uh Terrence Ferguson last year had 231 yards, 11 touchdowns, 231 yards.
78:57>> Isn't that insane though? 231 yards on 12 catches. It's It's Come on, dude.
79:03It's pretty insane. It's pretty insane.
79:06>> It is pretty insane. I'll give you that.
79:07I'll give you that. He did he did have fewer yards than Daniel Bellinger. Noah Fantig play he did not play at all until Puka
79:17got hurt which was in >> Yeah. I I guess what I'm saying is like you don't want you want the role to be a
79:25very very sizable increase from >> he needs to he needs to have a big increase in what his role is. Yeah. He
79:30needs to have a >> which I do think happens. I mean like I've for me now it's that Ferguson's so expensive you can't really get him at
79:37anything I think is reasonable but I do we do have him um increasing his role uh in a pretty big way. So not as big as
79:47you do but we're not like you know saying he's >> well to be clear like I can't I like I can't even really get him anymore.
79:56>> Right. Right.
79:57>> The the market >> and you Yes. the market has gotten too exuberant for me.
80:03>> Yeah.
80:03>> On on him.
80:05>> Um I think because a lot of people were like, "Well, [ __ ] I didn't draft any of him when he was free, so now I got to
80:10get a I got a bag protect, you know."
80:13>> Did you like him as a prospect?
80:15>> I thought he was fine.
80:17>> Yeah, I that's part of it for me, too.
80:19>> He didn't do this at Oregon, though.
80:20This role that McVey invented for him out of thin air last year, he this was not who he was at Oregon. He was not
80:26like a deep threat. Seems he was kind of like a >> He's more yak guy.
80:31>> He was more of like a yak. So, so that's another thing is uh Nate Atkins, the Rams beat rider, he did this like write
80:39up of Rams off seasonason and one of the things he mentioned was they had T Ferg lose a little bit of weight to do some
80:45more of the Yak stuff so that he can just, you know, be moving across the formation, catch the like tight, you
80:52know, that this is my favorite play in football, the tight end leak screen where the whole offensive line moves, the tight end pretends that he's going
80:58to block, he does the rub and then he that's like my favorite play and that's like the that's like the Tfer play this
81:04year, I think.
81:06>> Yeah, I think Terg is going to be Ter is going to be so funny because my expectation is that he has like several
81:12awesome plays, some good weeks, but that like kind of isn't a big part of >> ultimately the season's about.
81:22>> He will probably end up being like an insane highlight. like it'll be like >> like oh my god he just had two catches
81:31for 68 yards and a touchdown like surely and then you look at the data and you're like he ran 19 routes you know
81:37>> that I I'm anticipating like talking to you in like week seven and you're like Karee how are you coping with with not
81:46having TUR >> and you're like Dton Schultz is chucking along just >> yeah like he's what do you mean you're like he just he just absolutely nuked
81:54like he scored Uh, he scored eight points.
81:57>> I mean, I would say the coolest eight points of your life.
82:00>> 90 I would say 80% of my T Ferg teams I like drafted him over Pat Friouth, you know.
82:07>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
82:08>> Now, >> which I get which I totally get like that's >> Yeah, that that's good. I if I could go
82:14back and take him over Pat Frymouth, I would, you know, but that's not the choice anymore.
82:18>> It I mean, he's also just another drum he's like another big drum beat guy, you know. Ter he's a big He's a He's
82:25>> He has been a drum beat guy. Yeah.
82:27>> The the And I gotta leave after this because I got to go have dinner before we do uh ship chasing. Haven't seen my
82:34my wife or child all day because I've been down here in my dungeon. Um the Cowboys and the Rams had joint, you
82:42know, they did the the fake game, the joint practice.
82:45>> Terg had eight targets in the the joint game.
82:49>> Oh man. and Kobe Parkinson, Max Claire, Tyler Higgby, Davis Allen had zero. This is zero.
82:57>> Oh boy.
82:59>> And like Kobe Parkinson could very easily like catch five touchdowns and people be like, "Davis, you're so dumb.
83:05Why wouldn't you draft Kobe Parkinson, bro?" Like that could definitely still happen.
83:10>> You don't have to draft Kobe Parkinson.
83:11I'm not really drafting Kobe Parkinson.
83:13Like it's it's clearly >> I do a little bit as like just an absolute bag protect, dude. you know, like just an an like an alltime bag
83:23protect on taking Kobe Parkinson.
83:26>> Yeah, I'm not really taking him, but uh you know, like kind of 20th round stuff.
83:31Sure. Um but yeah, it's Did by the way on the on the practice stuff, did you see uh Carninal Tate had
83:39like seven targets?
83:40>> Yeah, but there was no targets for route run. So, how can we possibly examine?
83:44Dude, >> if you don't tell me the routes, then I don't know how to interpret it. that I I wouldn't I wouldn't keep miming that
83:51stat if it was just like, "Oh, whatever.
83:53T Ferg looked good in practice." But it was the fact that I literally combed through the playbyplay. I paid for a day
83:59pass for the Los Angeles Times to comb through the the the playbyplay and Parkinson, Higgby, Allen, Claire were not targeted once.
84:10>> That's worth the day pass. You >> It's It was worth the the whatever $299 I paid. You pay you pay $2.99
84:20period 00 for that for that for that information to know that information.
84:25It's worth it to me. I mean, frankly, I just like really what I want is I would actually just love for McVey to say
84:33>> he like he he's already been insanely like high on him, but that's just kind of what he does, >> right? What I want is I want one because
84:41all the beat writers do their whole T Ferg saliloquy and then they couch it in.
84:46>> Yeah, but you know it's a tight end room. They're going to play 12 whatever.
84:49I'd like for one of the beat writers to say he's a starting tight end. He's going to he's going to play more than
84:55Parkinson would be nice.
84:57>> See, I don't think he is a starting tight end in that sense, but I don't think he needs to be for you to get
85:02there.
85:03>> Yeah. I think you're you're basically hoping he's Isaiah likely or Mike Gasiki, but it's more it's like a more creative Mike Gassiki, you know? I think
85:12that's >> honestly that like that's that's who he it's Gassiki, right? It's like something happens to Adams, something happens to Puka, he gets a huge boost. He can
85:21definitely catch a touchdown in any random game, but his uh participation is not going to be as good as you want. Um
85:28Karine, thank you for having me. You can stay on and draft. You can do whatever you want, but I >> I think I am going to draft. Yeah.
85:34>> Okay. All right. I need to go be a family man for a little bit. I appreciate you. I will see you in 90
85:39minutes.
85:40>> 90 minutes. We're going to be on with Crack Rock. Um I've left this comment up for way too long. Uh
85:48completely forgot it was on the screen.
85:50If you got any questions in the chat, throw them in. I'm going to I'm going to see I'm going to I'm going to poke
85:54around and see what kind of what kind of draft I can get into right now, but I'm going to I'm going to get in something.
86:00So, let's see. Um, one sec.
86:06Yeah, but throw in questions in the chat and uh we'll see what we got.
86:11Uh, we talked Jacobs at the top of the show if um people want to hear that, but obviously that's that's huge news with
86:20uh the misdemeanor, but then also the potential video. Um, all right, I'm gonna jump in a 555. That's what I'm gonna do. um because that
86:31is eight of 12. So I think it'll fill reasonably soon and uh I'll answer
86:37questions until then. Uh let me get that ready to share.
86:46All right, let's see. Why are you the number one TIG hater? I think I think we just had a nice discussion on TFK. Did I
86:53did I come off as a hater? I just told I told uh I told Davis he could totally get there even if even if he's not a true starter
87:03that thinking of Tfford kind of like um kind of like Isaiah likely has been the one of the ways that I've I've kind of
87:12got come around to him on uh the top guy Tuesday last week I'm pretty sure I took T Ferg uh you know the sidekick recommended as
87:24the top guy I the last time I did one of those or two times ago. So, it's not like we're totally out. It's more like this kind of
87:31happens. This is always going to happen with someone where you're lower than the market, then the market ends up being correct
87:40uh compared to you on that initial take and then you adjust as you should, but then the price changes. And uh I
87:52think that's kind of what's happened with Tferg where if you have a bunch of early Tferg that's looking pretty good, but uh the price has risen, you know,
88:03pretty pretty substantially and um that makes it harder to to kind of catch up because I don't think I think like we
88:10thought like yeah, we're probably too low, but it's not like oh my god, we're we're way way too low kind of thing. Um,
88:18but yeah, video video evidence looking like it's likely for Jacobs, which is I think going to going to lead to a
88:27suspension most likely and probably a six gamer if uh if it is what the video, you know, what they're saying it is. If
88:34that's right, then we're probably looking at a six gamer, I would guess.
88:39Um, but yeah, we we have that. Uh, part of the reason I was waiting to start a draft with with uh with Davis, then we
88:50ran out of time to actually do one was that um the guys have been furiously updating the the Sims and uh we're good to go with all the
89:00Jacob stuff in there. So, uh, this draft when it kicks off, uh, we'll we'll have our latest on on Josh Jacobs in there. So, here we are at
89:119 to 12. If anyone wants to jump in. Oh, 11 to 12. One more person, we can uh we can get this thing kicked off.
89:24All right. Court date November. Yeah, but exempt list is always a thing. So, uh,
89:36what's the issue with Tyler Warren? We do like Warren. I think the issue with him is, uh, as far as like kind of where
89:43he goes, he tends to, if Warren is in the late or mid to late sixth, we we tend to see him more. Uh, I think it has
89:49to do with us liking some of the tight ends who go much later quite a bit as well, like a concaid. Uh, we like
89:55Fannon. Um, I think that's part of it him maybe not separating from those guys. Uh, like he does there is a gap,
90:05but it's not like a massive massive gap.
90:08Um, so yeah, Warren is someone I like too and would be happy to have a little bit more of, but um,
90:18I think in the again in the early six there's there's more opportunity cost.
90:22in the mid to late six. I I do see him more in the sidekick. We also have raised him a little bit uh as the
90:31summer's gone on with the Alec Pierce stuff and the offense looking more likely to be built around him.
90:40A good idea to wait until Davis leaves the draft. Davis had to jump. He's got to eat before our our pod. Um,
90:50yeah, we'll see with the the video I think is is is very much a key part of the potential suspension here.
91:03Do I think Keenan Allen's lack of uh signing is a testament to Warren's Do I think the Keenan Allen sign is a
91:08testament to Tyler Warren's health or lack thereof? I don't. I think it's a testament to Alec Pierce's potential to miss the beginning of the
91:16season even though they are hoping he'll play in week one. Uh he might not be fully himself and I think it's a
91:23testament to their total lack of depth after Pierce Josh Downs. Um I think it's more about Ashton Dolan who they you
91:32know they they said nice things. They said oh it's because he's such a good specialteamer. We can't have him play wide receiver. which if you're dueling,
91:39you have to be like, I'll play wide receiver. That makes more money than special teams, but you No, no, Ashton.
91:46No, no, you're too good. We couldn't afford to lose you on special teams.
91:50Couldn't possibly play at wide receiver.
91:51We're going to sign Keenan, you know.
91:54So, I I think they just they realized they were going to have to play duel in a bunch. And and I think that's why the
91:58Keenan signing happened. Plus, they knew, you know, he knew the system and he would he would be able to hit the
92:03ground running. It was a logical fit.
92:11Uh, do I think Waller makes the 53? It seems like he's going to make the 53. I had I I did a 555 earlier today. Yes.
92:19Let's go. The 101.
92:23All right.
92:25I knew it was a good idea to jump in 555.
92:30And it's all this is uh this is all my equity now, too. I mean, it was it actually was a good idea.
92:38101555.
92:40Uh, I'm going to take that influencer pad. This was my recommendation in the legendary upside uh running back article which dropped today. I I mentioned this
92:48earlier. I mentioned again uh I just posted the legendary running back scenarios for round one and uh that is free on legendaryupsite.com.
92:59traveled to the future, saw how Jir Gibbs was going to score 27 PPR points per game, and came back and detailed
93:08exactly what that looked like. Uh, I did that for all the running backs going round one, and then I'm going have a
93:13follow-up. I'm targeting Saturday morning for that. Um, covering round two and then I'm going to I'm going to write up the running backs going in round uh
93:21like three through five as well. So, uh, that is also available in a podcast form. I narrated it on the Legendary
93:28Upside podcast feed, wherever you get your podcasts. That's a a perk for leg up subscribers. I do that for all my
93:34articles on a premium podcast feed. Um, so yeah, check it out. It's my favorite article to write every year. It's really
93:43fun. You know, you're having a little fun. you're kind of doing some some creative writing kind of thing, but also it does really help me think through
93:54like how easy is it for these guys to turn in monster seasons? How easy is it for like a couple things to kind of go
94:00wrong and they run cold a little bit and then it's over as far as you know them able to beat ADP
94:07Gibbs. So, I had to like make up stuff like he's, you know, he's going to like James Connor signs and stuff, you know,
94:13like it's it's kind of hard for Gibbs not to uh not to be a really good pick as the 101. Bejon too. Bejon. Uh I it
94:23was a little more realistic because I write up a silent killer scenario for these guys as well as the legendary one.
94:28Bejon was a little more realistic when I was envisioning how he how he fails. Um, but it still felt kind of like a like a
94:36parlay. You know, multiple things need to go wrong simultaneously for for him to be a bad pick.
94:44Uh, what what percent chance do you think Gibbs is the guy who breaks the year? I mean, one thing I would say is that
94:54Bejian's such a strong pick that it it could be one of those things where you just have like there's going to be
95:01some guy Maybe DeAndre Swift or Montgomery. Maybe it would be funny.
95:09Like Montgomery might have just some absurd advance rate because he's paired with Gibbs and Bejon, but like only he like scores like 12 points a game and
95:17has, you know, a 25% advance rate. Like I could see those guys just completely dominating uh the rest of the first round.
95:27Uh, so, you know, I I think that would be one of the if I was going to say, you know, below 25% for for Gibbs, it would
95:34be partly because there could easily be like true two truly legendary seasons at running back, which would and since they're going right next to each other,
95:42you know, it would make uh they both come with, you know, very high opportunity cost and and similar kinds of builds that uh it would really then
95:50start to be more about the randomness of who scores points in which weeks.
95:56Can you please talk Charbanet? He's my highest owned guy on DK. ADP seems low for him when he comes back. Um, yeah. I
96:06mean, I don't think with Charbanet, you're you're getting a guy who I know that there's been talk about, you know, him playing earlier
96:15than initially expected, which is nice, but you you do have him at the very least, you know, not being himself for a while probably. and then
96:25potentially missing a good chunk of games. And then you also have them having spent a first round pick on a
96:33running back. Um, and so yeah, it just the whole I it feels thin in a few different ways to me where
96:44you you need him to be the guy he was last year. You need Price not to be very good. uh you need his recovery to be,
96:51you know, ahead of schedule. Just given how late his injury was, you look at kind of the comps of of those types of
96:59players. It's it's, you know, both in getting back on the field and then returning to the previous uh level of play. I I'm I'm worried about what that
97:09looks like, you know, until pretty much the end of the season. Uh and and so you know if he's not himself they they may
97:17have you know Price has plenty of time to establish himself.
97:23They might have Helani in kind of an Goomba type role that now he's got to displace him out of which you know he
97:29probably would but it just there's kind of um you're taking on a lot of risk and I don't see like a like a a really clear
97:38path to upside of of price getting hurt.
97:42Uh that that's kind of the the sharpening thing for me. Uh it has been more bullish than I expected as far as
97:49the recovery timeline. So I'll give you that. What if Gibbs is just LT crossed with CMC crossed with Barry Sanders? I
97:57think he might be kind of like new Chimera, you know? That's that's how I've been thinking of him. Uh but in uh
98:05just a really highowered and aggressive offense could be could be pretty fun.
98:11All right. So, we got neighbors. We got Collins Pickkins here at the top.
98:16McBride, uh, Rashy Rice.
98:21Happy with any. Oh, Genty as well.
98:24Um, what was the Gent? Let's look at this Genty news.
98:31It's No. So, the Genty post that Davis said has not not made the DraftKings news. Um, but we'll see. Neighbors goes
98:39was hoping to get him. That would have been fun. Uh, and then
98:47Pickkins Rashi McBride.
98:51I tell you what, I'm going to do h I was going to take Genty. I don't have a a Gibbs Genty. It would have been
98:59pretty fun to have that in the 555.
99:02Um, let's see. I'm going to take McBride, who I just talked about with Davis. I think is is pretty underpriced.
99:12And I I probably will take Pickkins.
99:16Let's take Pickkins. We'll follow the sidekick here and then see if McBride's top Olave is top. I'm I'm still taking
99:27McBride. I'd locked myself in mentally to that. Uh yeah, I'm taking McBride.
99:42Gibbs Pickkins McBride. Pretty fun, man. I I would have liked Genty there.
99:48That would have been fun.
99:53Most optimal Gibbs team through five rounds within reason. Uh would be I mean, you know what would be really fun would be I don't know if this is
100:04within reason, but if you could go Gibbs, Genty, Bowers, that would be pretty sweet. And then you get you get Burden
100:17and Burden Scataboo maybe or Burden
100:27uh Waddle can't go there anymore. That's not What about McMillan? Would you give me McMillan?
100:33Tedo McMillan and Burden at the 45.
100:36McMillan doesn't really get that late, but it can happen.
100:41Uh yeah. Uh I've been pretty unreasonable there, I'd say. But but that's what I would dream on.
100:50Uh James Cook was better on every level last year than Bejian. Not as a pass catcher, my guy. Uh, that's incorrect.
101:01Does Bejon still look like a genie? Uh, I don't know what you mean.
101:07Let's see.
101:11Hampton over Trevon is wild.
101:17I'm not in on Hampton. Uh, but I don't think uh Did Trayvon go? Are you commenting on something that happened?
101:29No, I don't know.
101:36All right, let's see. Let's see.
101:39Why is like up generally a little low on a lav? I don't see him top guy too often. Well, he was top guy there. Um,
101:45and you know, arguably I should have taken him. So, uh, I think we're we're a little bit low on, uh, Olive and and Smith in the sense
101:55that we view them as pretty similar to the group of wide receivers going after and a group that really runs through
102:04kind of the end of the fourth round as you get into burden. So, uh, if you have the chance to take Olive
102:12versus McBride, who I do think there's a tear break after McBride or, um, you know, if you if you want the running
102:20backs there, Love, Bree, um, you know, especially when they were going a little higher, we were taking a lot of Jeremiah
102:28Love and Bree above Olive. Bree has fallen quite a bit since. Um but yeah, that's and then we like guys like
102:37Pickkins, uh Collins, you know, any of those guys who fall Rice as well generally above Olive. Uh not always as you as you saw there, the
102:48sidekick had OV uh top recommendation with with Gibbs and Pickkins as the start. So, it's more about like I think he has
102:59trouble uh consistently being ahead of guys like McBride, but it can happen. Uh so, it's not like a guy that we're completely out
103:07on. Just not someone we're we're super excited about relative to the other options.
103:14I've actually been getting a lot of T-Mac at the four five turn.
103:17Okay. Yeah. So, that's what I'm saying.
103:19Maybe maybe that's the not uh not unreasonable of me.
103:28Uh, Uncle Uncle Ted really likes Javvante.
103:34Javvante is a monster. It look does look pretty good for him as far as Jaden Blue not mattering. Uh, and I was drafting a good amount of
103:43Javvante in this kind of range.
103:47Uh, all right. So, let's see. So, we've got no sign of um no sign of Jacobs.
103:53Here's Jacobs. Jacob's popping is kind of the the sixth round range it looks like for now. So I I would we'll see. I
104:01mean he could actually come back to the 612 if people are are nervous enough about a six gamer and this is a high
104:07stakes format, you know.
104:11Ted McMillan, Cam Scataboo, David Montgomery, Bashel Tuton, Luther Burton, Bucky Irving.
104:19Pretty pretty happy with those guys.
104:22Jameson Williams goes. So, I'm gonna have two of the next five and I've got five in the queue.
104:31So, I'm feeling good. Tedaro McMillan goes. He's the number number one guy I wanted. Um, but yeah, I've got one running back, one
104:41receiver, one tight end.
104:44Scataboo goes and then Manutton's here. Irving's here.
104:53Did just talk up Irving with uh with Davis. Irving I've got a little less exposure to than Toutin. Got a ton of exposure to
105:03him. I'm actually going to Well, let's see.
105:08Montgomery is top. Probably fits the team pretty well as a running back, too.
105:14I'll go ahead and do that and then we'll see if Adams is Adams going to be a top recommendation. It's Tootin.
105:23I've got like literally twice the the dollars on on Tutin than Irving with a similar overall percent. So, I'm going to go
105:31Irving here.
105:33Even that out a tad.
105:39Gibbs Pickkins McBride Montgomery Irving.
105:45Could be good.
105:54Uh, the late latest I saw on the Cowboy stuff was it looks like Malik Davis was the RB2, but um, yeah, it seems like the blue hype has
106:03faded a bit.
106:07Hot take. Mike Washington Jr.'s is better than Genty.
106:11Uncle Ted's having fun. You know, it's Thursday afternoon.
106:18You're having a little fun.
106:20Curious your stance on Jake Ferguson.
106:22Feel like he's the most disrespected tight end in the league. Considering he was top five last year before got the injury, what am I not seeing that
106:29everyone else is? I, you know, we like Ferguson. We like Ferguson and he's This is one of the reasons that I really do
106:38think a SIM based process is is pretty powerful is that I don't like Jake Ferguson. Like when I think through what
106:47like if you had me um put together rankings, you know, or or put together like uh without, you know, wipe my memory of
106:57what we've been doing and then say, "Hey, here's where all the tight ends are going. Jake Ferguson, target or not target?" I'd be like, "Eh.
107:03Not not a huge fade, but I I think probably like a little bit of a fade.
107:08But the way the simbased process works is that we we put on, you know, all the inputs to sim out what these guys score
107:14over the course of thousands of seasons and then we sim out the contest. You're kind of putting together the puzzle of,
107:23you know, where can you get these guys that, you know, you might draft first, where can you get other players at other
107:28positions, etc., etc., and putting together teams that do well. Um, Ferguson pops there. Like he he is a guy
107:36that we do take and um that I think is a good pick because I've told the Sims what I think he will do. And then they
107:47told me, "You should take Terrence Ferguson." Uh, sorry, not take Terren Ferguson. Jake Ferguson. I've got Terren Ferguson brain now. But yeah, I'm at 14
107:57uh% Jake Ferguson. So, I do take them. I like like in a vacuum. I think Concade is more fun to click. I think Kelsey's
108:04more fun to click. Um, you know, I there's there's a number of guys there that I I kind of prefer, but
108:13I prefer them as me. And uh I think the sidekick does a better job of, you know, taking taking the information about what
108:22I think will happen in the NFL season and then helping me determine what what the best picks are on a given team. And
108:28we we get we get Jake Ferguson as I was saying at a pretty good clip. So, I don't think you're wrong. I think he's
108:34he's on a good offense. Um he's super locked in as the tight end there. I don't think he's great, but he's not
108:43bad. uh the Florenoi stuff. I mean, I think Florenoi is is the wide receiver at three very clearly, but I'm I'm not
108:50convinced that he's some needlemoving player. Um and I think Ferguson has a good chance to be the number three target on that team um ahead of
108:58Florenoi. And if not, I don't think he's going to be like dusted by Florenoi either.
109:03So, yeah, I uh I'm generally with you. I think Ferguson's a good clip.
109:09Would you trade Lloyd for Bill? I'd rather have Bill.
109:13Um, you know, Jacobs is gonna likely get suspended, but he'll play uh first of all, he might not get suspended this
109:21year depending on how the NFL decides to play it because they could let the legal process play out and he could uh you
109:28know, depending on what happens with the video. He could uh push this to next year.
109:33with video. I think that's more unlikely that he does face a suspension, but it's probably on the more front. Like, if
109:40video comes out and the NFL acts quickly, then we're looking at a suspension in the early part of the season, you know, before the final three
109:47weeks of of the fantasy season. So, uh, at that point, Lloyd moves up, but he doesn't have the upside to just be like
109:56a starting running back all year the way Bill does. So, I would still prefer Bill for sure.
110:08Vele versus Lance while Tyson is out. It seems like they like Veillay. Lance was was getting some run, but Vele wasn't
110:15playing when I saw you know that Lance was operating like the wide receiver 2.
110:20There was a report of that, but it wasn't it it was with Olive and Vele out. Uh so I think Lance is kind of
110:28intriguing. like I have my eye on him, but I I think um you know, right now I'm I'm thinking it's Vle,
110:36especially because we're talking about the beginning of the season, like who who can hit the ground running and Vle was in the system last year and they
110:42talked about how they they probably weren't using him enough.
110:46Uh so yeah, I would I would be I would be Vle there. Drake May, baby, let's go.
110:57Nope, not quibbling with the sidekick on that one. Tell you that. And then we got DK Metaf and Tucker Craft. Interesting.
111:07Think the wide receiver too is just kind of hard to pass up on here. And I only have not taken Metaf in a 555. So, let's
111:16go ahead and get that done. Go with the sidekick there. So far, what my IKBs were two McBride over a lav and two
111:25Bucky over Toutin, which you know, atypical for me to IKB off of Tootin. I love love taking Tutin in the fifth, but
111:34um Bucky trying to get a little bit more even with on the high stakes stuff.
111:43Barkley sucked balls last year. Pure volume play only. Hey Ted, did you watch any football in 2024 by chance?
111:52was last year. If if Uncle Ted's first year watching football was last year, that would also explain the Javvante take. So, that's that's now a serious
112:00question. Was last year your first year watching football.
112:04Uh, how do you only have $75 of Metaf? I seem to get them quite a lot.
112:10Uh, I don't I'm about halfway through the um flagship. I need to get way more of the flagship in. So if I'm like three
112:22over 75. Yeah. So I'm about 4% metaf on underdog or sorry on DraftKings.
112:30Uh let me check underdog.
112:36I'm at 7% there.
112:39Uh yeah I get him some but not a ton.
112:48Ted, 2024 was a long time ago for a running back brother. 2024 might as well be the year four when it
112:58comes to running backs.
113:01It's uh that's my uncle Ted and Ted. How close am I?
113:05How good how good is my impression?
113:07Uncle Ted, dude, I've forgotten more about football than you know. Playing DraftKings, getting a prime and let me smoke you.
113:16Damn, Uncle Ted. Ted's talking [ __ ] now.
113:19Ted is slamming Miller lights and having a blast. I think Ted is having a blast.
113:23I Ted's energy is borderline, but is so far has stayed on the right side where I'm I'm enjoying it. It's close.
113:34We'll see. It might change, but right now it feels like Ted's having fun and I'm I'm enjoying it.
113:43Uh, yeah. For reference, Kareem Hunt was on video, also not charged with a felony, missed the rest of the season and got
113:50cut from the Chiefs. He was suspended, I believe, eight games.
113:53Uh, Saquon Barkley jumped over a guy backward. But Andrew, when? Because I'm pretty sure that was 2024.
114:01And 2024 was a long time ago for a running back brother, by the way. Not a long time ago. It was along
114:10like like come along now.
114:16That was a long time.
114:20Oh man.
114:23Ted, am I close? Ted's not telling if I'm close or not, so I'm assuming I'm dead on. Uh, I was a top 150 player in
114:32prime time last year. Uh, oh, okay.
114:35Uncle Ted, Shady Shadyy's taking you up on this. He's been waiting in the luxury box for days. Come play.
114:41You can you can scoop Shad's action.
114:50All right. What do we got? What do we got? Ted should do a main with Crack Rock. Yeah, Ted, we're we're jumping on
114:55uh in the main event. I don't know if there's any spots open. I'm pretty sure there's not, but I suppose there is.
115:01Then um you could you could jump on with us and and at least check out the stream, you know, come come join the
115:08chat. We're streaming with Crack Rock here in just a little bit. Mai Lemon going, which is a big old bummer for me.
115:16Would have liked to take him. Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes, Jordan, and Harold Fannon. Top of the sidekick.
115:23Mahomes goes looking like maybe a little bit of a Herbert fall here. Addison is the wide receiver. Three makes sense for sure.
115:33Uh, I'm going to take Herbert.
115:36Herbert is uh 10 picks past ADP here.
115:40get the QB2 in the 555.
115:43You know, it's important to uh to advance in the first place.
115:47We got Harold Fannon popping up above Jordan Addison. I only have two receivers here. I already have McBride.
115:55It's kind of an interesting one.
115:58I do like Fannon though.
116:01So Jakori Kroski Merritt is what would be my running back for Yeah, let's ride Harold Fannon. Uh the
116:11the way the 555 works, if you're not familiar, um it's two of 12 advance, then it's two of eight,
116:22then it's one of eight, and then it's uh what, a 52 seat final.
116:27Yeah. So, you know, obviously you got to do well in week 17, but getting out of round one is actually uh harder than
116:36getting out of round two when it's two of eight. Getting on round three is harder than round one. Uh one of eight
116:43versus, you know, one of six. If we uh we do the the little fraction math there. What is that called when is that reducing? Are
116:51we reducing there? Regardless, one of six, that's the rate. Uh then one of four, then one of eight, and then one of
117:0052 ideally. So yeah, getting those just getting out of that initial pod is is pretty big. And I think that's where
117:07like an unstacked Herbert and I assume it'll be unstacked. It might not be ultimately could tack on a Trey Harris or
117:14little Charlie Kolar at the end. Um, in fact, I would say it's it's somewhat likely we get Kolar. And then of course,
117:22we don't have uh stacks with May either, but I need receivers and I'm headed into a range with Romeo Dos and those types
117:30of guys. Uh although I don't see Dobs here, so we'll see.
117:37Did Dobs go?
117:39He did go. He went to 802.
117:45Wreck Havoc is has correctly named himself because he has he has wrecked a little havoc on my uh the stack that I
117:53was thinking was there for me. He went Cook Hampton Williams Hall Warren then rips four receivers, including my guy Dobs.
118:03Not ideal for me, I would say. I would prefer if Doss was still there.
118:10Uh Ted says, "I'm just talking [ __ ] The the dollar sign [ __ ] with an
118:17exclamation point." I like it. Um, Ted Ted never told me if I nailed the impression, but I I like to think I I'm
118:28just talking [ __ ] Is that a good Did I do it?
118:42All right. Yeah, the the chat that you've won over the chat, Ted. You have to say, you know, you've come in here
118:48borderline belligerent, but um you're older than me. Okay. All right.
118:56We'll see you, Uncle Ted. What What's the uncle for? I' I've been picturing you as like a 62.
119:04You know, Uncle Ted, that's that's a the handle of a 62-y old Ted.
119:10Ted is the guy who wins his own Blink every year and his league mates get pissed. Yeah, that does sound good. That
119:17does sound right. Oh, Ted Williams is the goat. Okay.
119:22I I like Ted Williams as well. Ted Williams from San Diego. We uh there's Ted Williams Field down the street. We
119:27walked to uh the field the other day, not realizing that it's like this is the it's a field named after where he uh
119:35played baseball as a as a youth, Ted Williams. Pretty cool.
119:46I'm getting receiver mogged here. All the receivers I wanted keep keep getting drafted by other people.
119:51Just not ideal. Normally I, you know, if I want the receivers, I'd like them to be on my team. Uh, Rashad White's here.
119:58Aaron Jones is here. White's fine. I don't have him in a 555 yet. Fills out my fourth running back. Let's do that.
120:06And then Baker might jump to the top here. Shakir. Shakir would probably make sense. Although Jones is the running back five.
120:18Okay sidekick.
120:20I'm kind of cur at this point. I'm I'm I'm like I'm kind of curious.
120:25Let's do it.
120:29You know what? I tell you what, Olave would have made this team a little more comfy. A little more comfy with the way
120:34the receivers's going. I'm scooping running back points. No one can stop me.
120:39Um, now we're looking at, we still have Rodriguez, but basically the running backs are gone for a while, Pat. You know, you have to start three
120:52wide receivers, right? Yes, I do, in fact, know I have to start three wide receivers. I think we're going to fill
120:56out receiver here uh in the in the upcoming rounds.
121:02This what happens when you don't top click. Yeah, I went to McBride thinking I could outsmart my own tool. Uh, and
121:10Olive would have uh made the the team a little more comfy for sure.
121:15Uh, although the other IKB was a running back to a running back, so nothing nothing structural there.
121:24Uh, let's see.
121:26Uncle Ted and Father Pat.
121:29I am a father and I've got a two-year-old, but I Father Pat sounds too uh Catholic, which is I am, you know, I
121:39was raised Catholic, so you know, I guess that makes sense, but uh you know, I'm not a priest, so I'm not Father Pat.
121:48I'm not a priest. Shakir goes uh little bit of a bummer. Do like him.
121:55We've got Chris Rodriguez popping here.
121:57Katon Mitchell, Tyler Algier. So, there are some more running backs. I think mostly because the receivers keep getting drafted and if the receivers get
122:05drafted then there aren't receivers to draft.
122:17Never seen this man pissed so green.
122:19that this is uh I will say you know in baseball I have been drafting more like this this year where you get uh the running back
122:29production before it kind of dries up um and you don't have to take just total dart throws. What I'll think two things
122:39are happening here. One is I'm getting those types of um builds because guess I don't need these in anymore. Uh, I'm
122:48getting those types of builds, but then I'm also having people take the receivers that I want.
122:56So, you know, coming back to me, Mai Lemon, I would have taken him for sure at the 89 turn. He's gone. Um, Xavier
123:04Worthy, I imagine, would have been the pick for me. Had he made it back, he doesn't. Pitman, Conpion, for sure. And so, the runs aren't
123:16working. You see Coker, right? Shakir, Coker, they both go Samuel. Now I'm getting Keenan up 10 picks ahead of ADP
123:25because the sidekick is starting to to understand that the receivers are getting drafted in this draft.
123:34Uh we are seeing some some teams that are pretty strong at receiver. Some big old rips here with Tate Wilson, Sutton,
123:42Pierce, Pitman, Shakir. I actually don't think that team's strong at receiver, but it has a lot of them. Uh which which
123:49made it harder for me to get value at the position.
123:54We've got uh finally running back is not a part of the the top suggestions.
123:59Keenan is is kind of a no-brainer at this point. Help fill out some receiver production early in the season. This team's going to end up having
124:08players like Jeremy Bernard, Omar Cooper, uh I would imagine Ted Hurst, stuff like that. So getting Kenan would be helpful.
124:20Uh we'll see if he actually makes it.
124:23And then Oh, Tyson goes. Yeah. See, I'm not in position to take Tyson as easily. I he was right here. I took him earlier in
124:31the 555 on a team was a little more balanced.
124:35Keenan, come on down.
124:39That should help fill out some early season production. And then we're going to get into the rookies to some extent.
124:45Uh CJ Strad, who's Stout with?
124:47Montgomery. And I've got May and Herbert.
124:53And yeah, I'm going to IKB to to Boston here. I'm just I know the sidekick's trying to overpower me at at quarterback
125:04knowing receivers is gonna be a weakness, but the way this room's going, I'm just I'm getting sick of these these wide receiver tears getting wiped out
125:12right in front of me. So, Boston it is. He's had a great camp. Um but just did a pod with Silva. He was
125:22mentioning his camp's gotten a little more quiet recently, but still had a strong camp. Still secured a starting spot out of camp, which is which is
125:27impressive.
125:29So, he's the wide receiver four and then we are seeing Straoud and a bunch of receivers after that.
125:37Uh, the running back's suggestions have started to dry up.
125:49Do I think Naji bounces back in New York?
125:53I'm skeptical that he does, but I think he's a pretty decent final round pick.
125:57he hasn't been drafted a ton. Um, and you know, he does seem like he has a path to clear contingent value with I
126:07mean, they they seem like they're done with Tracy, which is which is definitely interesting. And, you know, Naji from a contingent value perspective doesn't
126:17need to be awesome. He just needs to be the guy they turn to if Scataboo gets hurt. And Scataboo can't stop running
126:24over defenders and practice. like he does seem like, you know, what are you doing? You know, there there is an element to the
126:34Scataboo thing where it's charming and then you're not sure is it is it charming actually or has this crossed the line? Is sort of similar to to Uncle
126:42Ted who asked this question. Ted, you've you've managed to stay in the in the charming lane. Scataboo had been in the
126:48charming lane, but it seems like at least to the Giants players he's playing against, he's the charm is fading.
126:55Harbaugh called him an infectious disease. So, I don't think uh he's he's feeling, you know, the the charisma very
127:04very strongly from Scataboo. Um and the dude, yeah, he takes a lot of hits. He's going to run really hard and he's coming
127:11off a serious injury, so you could certainly see him potentially miss some time. Um, and I think as a as a
127:19contingent value guy and a guy that looks like he should have, you know, that kind of running back two role for
127:25the Giants this year. Now, I I think he's worth considering late. Uh, I don't think he'll be in the sidekick yet if we
127:34Yeah, he's not quite yet in the sidekick, but I bet we start talking about him when we get to, you know,
127:4017th, 18th round, that that kind of range.
127:45I bet you we see him.
127:51Yeah, I I am thinking about taking Pop Douglas in the 18th. And And by the way, Ewald, it's the 18th. Yeah, because Oh, no. 19
128:001901. I I would push it to the I wouldn't take the 18th's too soon. I would take him in the 19th. Feels like a
128:06Tyson team. Yeah, Tyson. Tyson fits the team in some ways, but I think I I think if Tyson had made it, and I take Kina, I
128:15bet I bet with Keenan, Tyson would have been the next recommendation.
128:22Uh, yeah, that's what I think. How far does Lloyd move up? Um, he was top
128:30recommendation when I was at the 1012 and then he went. So, I'm I'm thinking, you know, we're going to start to see
128:38Lloyd in the one teens in the sidekick.
128:43We'll see what the market does. He might move up above that, but looks like we're going to like him, you know, in the one
128:50teens roughly. Oh, Travis Hunter goes.
128:53He's been a huge part of what I've done this year. 41% on DraftKings. Uh Bryce Young goes, so probably going to be wide receiver, wide
129:04receiver here. Trey Harris definitely one of those guys. Uh this is a pick I feel great about. Stacked with Herbert.
129:12Jacob Sanderson sold me that I was too low on Trey Harris last night. Um and got a little bit more into him. Now AD
129:22Mitchell is an interesting one over Omar Cooper. He goes earlier so that's partly the reason why. But also, I think Mitchell fits this team better where I'm
129:33just like, you know, I'm scoring points at running back. I've got Jir Gibbs, Dave Montgomery, Buck Irving. I've got depth. I've got a good tight end and
129:41Harold Fannon. I've got two good quarterbacks. And so, what I need more than anything is enough receiving production to just like stay
129:51alive, get out of this first pod. And I think Mitchell should be scoring pretty well to begin the season. Outside wide receiver and
130:00two wide receiver sets, very locked in there. You know, a guy that we thought was was quite talented uh when he
130:06entered the league and his flash talent anytime he's gotten a chance. And the Jets should be somewhat functional the year. So, I think Mitchell kind of a
130:15chaperon type of guy. Um, and when we get later, it's going to be easier to find, you know, your Hurst, your
130:24branches, um, Bell, you know, guys that you'd expect to be scoring. Bernard, right? More late round or sorry, late
130:32season types of plays generally.
130:37Uh, yeah, Crack Rock will be will be on here in just 40 minutes now over on the Shipchasing channel.
130:45Yeah, I think we're going to get real sick of the Giants coaching staff real fast says this is fine. I agree. I think
130:50I think we are too. Uh they need to start playing real games so the defense doesn't lose it on him. I
130:58Yeah, I think it's it's kind of the last days of camp type vibes where everyone's sick of each other, but that could, you
131:04know, maybe maybe he's fired up the defense. Maybe it's good for them.
131:09Scataboo reminds me of Mary and Barber.
131:12Wouldn't avoid contact ever. Hate it.
131:16Ted Mar and Barber played way before 2024.
131:20What are we What are we talking about? I thought we were only doing 2025 and later references.
131:26There we go. Woody Marks and and Mike Washington. That's those are some good 2025 and later references.
131:33Uh was he fighting the defense again today? That was I saw that yesterday.
131:39Yeah, the infectious disease thing is wild because he was asked, "Is his energy infectious?" And he was like, "Yeah, it's infectious." Infectious like
131:45a disease.
131:47that's not good. I mean, that does make you wonder maybe they are going to play some Nagi.
131:56So, it's all receivers here right now.
131:59Uh, I've got Fannon and McBride. I mentioned Fannon earlier, didn't mention McBride, which was a pretty big oversight. Uh, and yeah, so we're
132:09looking at I'm just seeing here. Are we seeing Naji yet? We're not on Naji watch yet. Uh, we are on Get some receivers, bro.
132:19Watch.
132:21Uh, what do you think of Jan Datson as a 20th round dart throw on DK? I did see Watson in he's on the 20th in the 20th
132:32round, you know, at the 2012. I think we we might see Datson in the mix in this draft. Uh I think he's Yeah, he's to
132:40your point, he's going to run routes at least. We've got him in there. He's he's going to run routes. He's not good. Uh
132:46you know that those routes could evaporate over the course of the year.
132:52So, I don't think he's a great pick, but you know, in the 20th round, especially in the in the flagship contest where
132:58it's over a thousand, um you you kind of you're more interested in in some of the random type of guys who could really pop up. Uh
133:08so, really hoping a particular player gets back here. Um let's see.
133:20So all these guys have similar ADP. So I don't think I'm getting I'm just going to put them in the queue so I can see
133:26where they pop up here.
133:30So Branch is the least likely come back it looks like. Then Ridley, then Bell, then Hurst. Hurst is the guy I want the
133:37most.
133:39I think he could have a role right out of the gate. He looks really quite good.
133:44I'm going to go ahead and take Hurst.
133:47I'm excited about him. I'm more I'm like almost irresponsibly excited about Ted Hurst at this point. And then we've got Calvin Ridley popping is kind of another
133:55chaperon type dude.
133:59Let me go ahead and do that.
134:05Is there any chance Chris Bell comes back or is he not coming back?
134:10What's this news?
134:14I'm gonna I'm gonna take Bell. Oh, Ridley, the sidekick got his way. Um, I just think Bell is going to keep
134:23moving up and I only have one share of him. So, that's why I tried to sneak him in under the wire there. Interestingly though,
134:32Bell is now a little bit further down.
134:35So, it looks like the sidekick pretty strongly preferred Ridley actually. So, I might have lucked out there. That was
134:42a failed IQB that may have saved me.
134:48Uh, Ted, did you did you audition for So You Think You Can Tout? I could I could imagine kind of a Rambus a Rambuslike
134:57character. Is that Is that closer than my impression?
135:02Are you more like my impression or like Rambus? Uh, wait. What beat reporter? Ewald, why is Bree falling so much? Is he out
135:14for a few games? He's not. He he suffered an injury and um doesn't look like it's particularly serious. And I think people,
135:24you know, were a little nervous about that, but then he never his ADP never recovered, which happens. That's like one of those
135:32kind of funny things about the basketball market is guys will drop and then the the catalyst for that drop will, you know, go away and then they
135:42never recover. Um, and it's particular types of players generally, and I think Bree fits that mold where he's on the Jets. So, you
135:50know, it's like when Bree was going where he's going, everyone's like, "Yeah, it's fine." But, you know, to pull Bree back up to the
135:59mid third way ahead ADP, there might be limited um a limited number of people who have that level of enthusiasm for
136:06him.
136:08That that's how I would explain it. The same thing you could say is happening with ETN, right? ETN used to go in the
136:13early third, which I didn't love, but I do think he's a good pick in the fourth.
136:17And with Chimera, you know, Chimera's got this knee injury and um, you know, I think he was already pretty washed to begin with. So,
136:27shouldn't ETN be back up kind of where Kirn went? Probably. Like, if he ever should have gone there, he should go
136:33there again. But, um, yeah, I think maybe people just aren't aren't that excited about him. Myself included. like I I think ETN's a perfectly fine fourth
136:44round pick. Not someone I'm I'm super excited about in the third.
136:50So stacking wise, we we don't have anything with May. He's unstacked. Uh but of course we do have we may be
137:00getting close to that that stack that uh was was noted earlier in the stream.
137:05Although I don't see Did I get sniped on freaking Deario Douglas?
137:10No, not yet. Not yet. I probably will because I think I'm gonna try to push him to 2012.
137:19Um, Brennan Thompson's here.
137:28Not not seeing Doug.
137:32Bernard going is a bummer. I have a lot of them, but I still think he's a great pick.
137:37Benson's here.
137:39Uh Nick Singleton, that'll be my sixth running back.
137:45Legette Thompson Serat Turpin Lance Dodson Sllayton.
137:56Let's see the Q tag on Breeze. That is another
138:08good point. Q tag does does matter.
138:13All right, we're going to take Charlie Kar here for sure.
138:18Get that stacked up and then uh Oh, Xavier get I could see it. I think he's gonna be
138:31there in the final round. Brennan Thompson is a stacked option.
138:37Uh, why is Douglas not here?
138:44Did he go? I must have just missed him going. I'll take go with the go with the kick. Where did Deario go?
138:55Yeah, I've been I've been thinking about Deario.
138:59So, he went at some point that I completely missed.
139:04Oh, here he goes. 1711 and was this the booty or the dos team?
139:10This is the dos team. So wreck havoc has has been wreaking havoc.
139:16Uh took dos took Deario.
139:20I don't have stacked May because of you bud, but I do have stacked Herbert. Got him with Harris and Colar.
139:31Uh, and ultimately in a format where I I'm pretty focused on just being the one of the top two highs scoring teams in
139:40the pod, the stacks are nice, but not as critical.
139:45So, yeah, Josh, remember when you said you've never seen me uh piss green so much? Well, here's some yellow for you.
139:52Kenan Allen, Denzel Boston, Trey Harris, Adani Mitchell, Ted Hurst, Calvin Ridley, Charlie Kolar, Xavier Lette, and we're closing with a receiver here. Oh,
140:02Jan Dodson. I mentioned he would be in the mix. Maybe not the top suggestion, but in the mix. Here he is. Eli Raridan
140:11a little further down. Think he's probably unnecessary with McBride, Fannon, and Kolar, but a guy we do like.
140:20So yeah.
140:26Uh, Pop sucks. Anyways, yeah, I mean, he he I don't think he sucks. I just think he's he's kind of in a limited role and
140:38even with him being like locked in as the third receiver. I think he's probably like 45%ish round participation with Matt Collins working in some and
140:46Kyle Williams working in some. But he does The thing with I like about Pop is like he actually he's got a little pop.
140:52He He's not just like an underneath slot receiver. He can do stuff downfield. Um remember that stupid Saints play they
141:03called back? Uh he had some awesome plays in that Saints game uh that they kept wiping out with penalty. But yeah,
141:10I mean he I think he's a little more dynamic um and can pop up and hit your lineup even if he's not,
141:17you know, someone you'd ever really start in a reddraft league.
141:24Oh, check check for DK promos. Looks like some people got some uh some DK promos. It's pretty cool.
141:33Uh nice. Why not stab on Kyle Williams?
141:39He's not good, but when CM put up random spikes. My concern with Williams is that he just doesn't really play much. And
141:50um you know, that's not a concern I have with a guy like Demario Douglas or even Sabette now that um even like I don't
141:58think Leette's good, but he's the wide receiver three after uh Brazil went down.
142:05So yeah, it's just like one of those it's a it's a potential fancy zero.
142:11Yeah, Douglas has been treated as a starter all off seasonason. That is true. There's a limit to how much that matters because I think even though he's
142:20a starter, he's like I said, I think he's probably going to have basically a part-time role, but like he's ahead of
142:27Hollands, but Hollands will play that kind of thing. But yeah, it's it's not going to be nothing. We're not going to
142:33get nothing from Pop Douglas and stacked with May. I think it's somewhat useful.
142:42What is the overarching theme or takeaway from this season of best baseball? The late window volatility, running back pricing, stribbling about
142:49dribbling and etc. Would love to hear your thoughts.
142:52H that is a good question.
142:56I think one of the things I'm hoping is that this rookie class was actually pretty good at wide receiver and that that has
143:06been a key factor in how to play this year where you can get some good receiving production late, but um a little harder to find guys at
143:17running back that aren't total zeros because the rookie running back class was pretty weak. Um, speaking of rookie wide receivers, I'm
143:25going to take Brennan Thompson here.
143:27He's stacked with Herbert. And in a format like this, I kind of like having the Brennan Thompson, Trey Harris. I have the third receiving app. Maybe the
143:38second and Harris. Harris has the upside to maybe challenge Quinton a little bit.
143:42Like at a minimum, my 14th and 20th round picks are adding value because I'm in two quarterback build and Herbert Herbert's hitting. Herbert's hitting or
143:53the team's not advancing. So Herbert's hitting, the offense is taking a step forward and I got two stabs cheap at receiving production that comes along
144:01for the ride on a team that really needs receivers.
144:05Uh I like that type of play. Now obviously I didn't even need to like it.
144:09I could have just clicked the top of the sidekick because that's that's how they had Harris and Thompson. So, um, you
144:16know, not not an IKB, but one that I do really enjoy. Um, but yeah, so this is a 25103 at quarterback. Unstacked Drake May, but
144:27hey, run for a couple touchdowns in week 17. What if what if you did that? That could be cool. Justin Herbert, who I
144:33have stacked up with uh Trey Harris, Charlie Kar, and Brennan Thompson. And then at running back, Jamir Gibbs, of course, out of the 101.
144:43Never get tired of that. David Montgomery, Bucky Irving, Rashad White, and Aaron Jones. Nice little kind of classic five running back build. Get all
144:53the running back points you need through 11 and stop. And then the 10 receivers ended up being George Pickkins, DK Medaf, Keenan Allan Allen, Denzel
145:00Boston, Trey Harris, Adai Mitchell, Ted Hurst, Calvin Ridley, Xavier Legette, and Brennan Thompson. Honestly, I think I'm, you know, I mean, I need some of
145:09these rookies to hit, but I've got the Chaperones and Keenan and Calvin. Um, and in some ways Adonai and Legette who
145:19are going to run routes right away. Um, and Harris. Harris should run routes right away. So, I've got guys who at
145:26least are going to see the field. And then I'm going to need some out of Boston for sure. Ted Hurst. Um,
145:33Thompson kind of doesn't matter too much. If Harris hits and Thompson does nothing, that's that's better for me.
145:39But yeah, I've got uh I need Pickkins and Metaf to be dudes. And then um yeah, I'm I'm betting on some of these
145:48rookies to help my team along. But of course, the hero here is Jir Gibbs, score 27, as I wrote up uh this morning
145:57that he quite plausibly could get to.
146:00And uh and this team will be will be doing pretty good, especially if Trey McBride beats his ADP the way I think he
146:07can as a truly elite tight end who I took in the third round. But I'm going to get out of here. I'm going to grab a
146:14bite to eat before the stream with Crack Rock. That'll be over on the Shipchasing channel at 4. Appreciate you guys uh
146:22watching. Uh yeah, let's let's take a look where Jacobs went. We talked about um where Lloyd went. He was in the 110s.
146:31Uh where did he go? Great when I took Rashad White. Yeah, he he went at 118.
146:35And then Jacobs was I believe in the sixth round. Yeah. 605 and he was top of the sidekick when he went. So, you know, had he gotten all
146:45the way back to the 612, uh we would have seen him as a good pick there. But I think I'm thinking we're
146:51looking at Jacobs maybe in this five six turn range where you're probably, you know, you're eating a big suspension there a good amount of the time, but he
146:59has a potential to to score really well, outscore the running backs in that range. Um, but we'll see. I mean, this
147:06is one draft. This is also the 555.
147:09Different tournaments are different, so we'll see. Kind of early going on the new Jacobs price. Looks like maybe six
147:17this round range. more data to follow.
147:21See you over in half an hour at Chipchasing.
147:25Thanks again for watching.
