Alvin Kamara

NegativeInjury20:58

Saints RB played only 26% of snaps and 13% of long-down-and-distance work after getting banged up in Monday night football. He briefly exited the game in the third quarter for evaluation in the blue tent before returning, but the injury may linger and cause more problems.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveValue20:14

Cardinals WR had an 80-yard touchdown called back by penalty and posted a 73% route share with 24% target share. Mattek Fantasy Football called him out as a sneaky start last week and remains high on him, believing he is better than Van Jefferson, Deami Brown, and probably better than Trayon Burks at this stage of his career.

Insight page

Bryce Lance

PositiveSleeper16:18

Saints WR earned starting role as day-three pick; played 85% of snaps in Monday Night Football, saw 5 targets with high average depth of target, and would be interesting add in deeper formats if Chris Alave misses time; source intrigued by physical profile and unusual path to starting role for late-round pick.

Insight page

Carson Steele

NegativeRole14:03

Eagles practice squad RB ranked third among three backfield options; offers special teams value; started a game for the Chiefs; source rates him as the best team player and gamer among the three but ranks him third overall for fantasy purposes in deeper 14–16 team leagues. Source does not expect immediate startability in Week 5.

Insight page

Chris Bell

NegativeUsage16:41

Bell had a 60-yard touchdown called back by a ticky-tack penalty (foot barely stepped out of bounds), but the Miami Dolphins only ran 39 plays last week, limiting overall offensive volume. The Dolphins are not very good, which constrains Bell's upside despite the big play.

Insight page

Chris Olave

NegativeInjury14:02

Alave limped off during Monday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons on the final drive. The source notes that Alave is very fragile, which is relevant context for his injury durability going forward.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

NegativeValue20:16

Chiefs TE competing with Jaylen Royals for Taekwon Thornton's vacated role; ran only 2 routes in the game and was targeted on 1 snap. Mattek Fantasy Football would not spend more than 1–2% FAAB on him, preferring Royals due to higher route volume. Possible that Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy could elevate him after two weeks off to game-plan without Thornton.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

NegativeRole0:34

Dalton Kincaid's role was minimized in the Bills offense last week with 49% route share, which Mattek Fantasy Football attributes partly to Keon Coleman's strong emergence in the passing game.

Insight page

Dameon Pierce

PositiveRole14:03

Eagles practice squad RB ranked second among three backfield options; profiles as the best like-for-like backup to Tank Bixby and direct complement to Saquon Barkley's role; had 1,000 yards in his first NFL season with Houston but struggled after the Texans switched to a zone running scheme; source prefers him for the Tank Bixby backup role in deeper leagues. Source notes it would not be surprising if Pierce received 13 rushes for the Eagles in Week 5, suggesting closer path to startability than other practice squad options.

Insight page

Efton Chism

PositiveRole23:22

Efton Chisum made an impressive one-handed touchdown reception in Week 5, ran 43% of routes, and received 10% of targets. With Matt Collins banged up and the Patriots' wide receiver room depleted (AJ Brown still out), Chisum has a clear path to increased volume. The source notes the Patriots' WR room is one of the worst in the NFL, creating opportunity for Chisum to see more targets.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveValue0:59

Emanuel Wilson is the source's top waiver wire add for Week 5 and is projected to score better than Will Shipley in fantasy points. The source assumes Wilson has already been claimed in every competitive league due to immediate Week 5 point production need.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeRole28:28

The Joe Mixon signing clarifies Helani's role as limited to third-down and distance situations. Emanuel Wilson is significantly ahead of him on the depth chart.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeInjury0:51

Jamar Chase is banged up but has a chance to play against the Dolphins in Week 6; his status affects Mike Cassiki's role projection, as Cassiki becomes a full-time slot receiver when Chase is unavailable.

Insight page

Jake Ferguson

PositiveRole28:43

Ferguson runs all routes but cannot earn targets; he has a 10.5% target share on the year despite full-snap participation. The source ranks Tyler Higbee ahead of him for the upcoming week.

Insight page

Jalen Royals

PositiveRole11:41

With Taekwon Thornton out for likely the rest of the season, if Rashi Rice is unable to play in week six, Royals would assume Rice's role; he is likely Rice's backup. After Thornton left the game, the Chiefs did not play any snaps out of 11 personnel; instead, Noah Gray played more, with Royals and Gray playing significantly more snaps. Royals runs more routes than competing option Cyrus Allen. The source advises not going too crazy on Royals and recommends spending no more than 1–2% FAAB.

Insight page

Jauan Jennings

NegativeRole28:21

Jennings produced nothing in games without Justin Jefferson, indicating heavy dependence on the star receiver's presence and limited standalone value.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeRole28:30

Wright did not play in Week 5, with Olly Gordon significantly ahead of him on the Dolphins' depth chart. The source questions why anyone would hold a backup running back with no path to meaningful playing time.

Insight page

Joe Mixon

NegativeBust16:17

Signed to Seahawks practice squad with potentially career-ending foot injury; 2024 season showed very low efficiency (one of worst success rate seasons in NFL, worst receiving efficiency season), and source would prefer Tyreek Hill; unlikely to play Week 5 given Charbanet ahead of schedule and Jadarian Price's return, creating roster crunch that could lead to waiver wire release. However, source also suggests him as a waiver wire pickup alternative to dropping Jaylen Wright.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveValue5:21

Jordan Tyson is the source's favorite waiver wire sneak with better expected volume and similar efficiency compared to Tyreek Hill. Tyson has resumed running off to the side in Saints practice, indicating recovery progress. The source is actively adding Tyson in 4-0 and 3-1 teams. Tyson was drafted eighth overall by New Orleans and the source expects him to be a better player than other Saints receivers and more capable of earning volume. The Saints have heavy pass volume and a weak defense. The earliest comfortable lineup insertion is Week 9 due to the Saints' Week 8 bye. Tyson has insanely high fantasy football upside when he returns.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeRole22:07

Josh Jacobs will eventually come off the commissioner's exempt list and return to the Packers. Mattek Fantasy Football notes this in the context of the Packers having the worst running back room in the NFL, suggesting Jacobs could have a role once eligible, though his timeline remains unclear.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

PositiveRole20:58

Saints RB was the running back two in a game where Alvin Kamara got banged up; played only 26% of snaps and 13% of long-down-and-distance work. Positioned as a low-end add with potential if Kamara misses time.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

PositiveValue0:25

Keon Coleman scored 23 PPR points on 78% route share and 23% target share in his last game; with DJ Moore sidelined by shoulder reinjury, Coleman has emerged as one of the better waiver wire wide receiver adds of the season. Mattek Fantasy Football notes Coleman fits a better role than DJ Moore in the Josh Allen offense, is most effective down the field, and receives plays designed for Josh Allen's scrambles. Recommended FAAB bid: 15%.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeBust25:33

The source believes Kyler Murray is heading towards being benched despite the Vikings being 4-0. The Vikings rank 31st in the NFL in yards per play, and two of their wins came without an offensive touchdown, suggesting offensive struggles that could lead to Murray's benching. The source drafted Murray as a starter in multiple leagues but will not start him going forward and identifies him as an easy drop as bye weeks approach.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeInjury24:50

Lamar Jackson may miss multiple weeks due to injury, creating opportunity for backup Tyler Huntley in Superflex formats. The Ravens play in a dome against the Falcons, which provides a favorable matchup context.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveValue15:48

Washington posted 12 PPR points with 90% of routes and 30% of targets last week. The source identifies him as the clear choice if you had to start a Dolphins wide receiver over Chris Bell. While the Dolphins only ran 39 plays last week and are not very good, Washington provides a nice fantasy football floor. In a game where Miami runs NFL-average 60 plays, Washington could see additional usage out of the backfield.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

NegativeInjury25:29

Marcus Mariota is expected to miss some time due to injury.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveRole28:08

Despite running a high volume of routes, Pittman Jr. faces significant target competition from Jeremy Bernard and Roman Wilson. Roman Wilson is outperforming him on a target-per-route basis, while Jeremy Bernard is specifically targeting his role. The source expresses regret on draft capital allocation to Pittman Jr.

Insight page

Mitchell Tinsley

PositiveSleeper20:43

Bengals WR positioned as a low-end add with upside in a specific injury scenario. If both T. Higgins and Jamar Chase are out due to Chase's concussion, Mattek Fantasy Football would rather have Mitchell Tinsley on the roster than anyone else.

Insight page

Noah Gray

PositiveUsage20:01

Chiefs TE played significantly more snaps after Taekwon Thornton left the game. The Chiefs did not play any snaps out of 11 personnel after Thornton's departure, with Gray seeing increased usage alongside Jaylen Royals. However, Mattek Fantasy Football advises not going too crazy on Gray, recommending no more than 1–2% FAAB spend.

Insight page

Pat Bryant

NegativeInjury22:49

Pat Bryant left the game with an ankle sprain and is expected to miss about a month of the season. Mattek Fantasy Football identifies him as an obvious drop due to the ankle injury.

Insight page

Pierre Strong Jr.

NegativeRole21:58

Pierre Strong will be called up to replace the injured Chris Brooks in the Packers backfield. Mattek Fantasy Football's sense is that Strong will get a chance to play long-down-and-distance situations but will not get any early-down rushing work, limiting his fantasy upside in a run-heavy role.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

NegativeBreakout20:06

Cardinals WR had only a 40% route share but absolutely smashed in the Thursday night game. Mattek Fantasy Football does not fully believe in the sustainability of the performance but acknowledges there are worse sources of potential points.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeInjury0:00

Saquon Barkley will miss Week 5 due to hamstring injury; Mattek Fantasy Football assesses the injury as severe and does not expect Barkley to play in Week 6 either, creating an extended absence window.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

NegativeDepth Chart17:16

Ferguson was out last week. Higbee emerged as the primary receiving tight end in his absence, and the source expects Higbee to maintain approximately 75% of routes and 12-18% target share even if Ferguson returns.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveValue6:06

Trey Harris is a major beneficiary of the Chargers offensive collapse, running 91% of routes and receiving 70% of targets. He provides consistent production despite team dysfunction. The source describes him as a favorite waiver wire sneak and recommends spending $1–2 FAB but notes he is not a top waiver priority.

Insight page

Troy Franklin

NegativeRole22:49

Troy Franklin ran 39% of routes after Pat Bryant left the game with an ankle sprain. Pat Bryant is expected to miss about a month of the season, so Franklin will get his routes, but Mattek Fantasy Football notes that Franklin is not as good as Bryant, positioning him as a deep-league add for route volume with limited upside.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

PositiveRole17:09

Higbee posted 11 PPR points with 76% of routes and 12% of targets last week with Kobe Parkinson and Terrence Ferguson out; he was the primary receiving tight end. Second-round pick Max Cla played only one snap in 13 personnel. The source has evidence from the most recent two games that Higbee is Ferguson's backup, not Parkinson, Davis Allen, or Cla. Even if Parkinson returns next week, the source expects Higbee to maintain his role with approximately 75% of routes and 12–18% target share in the Rams offense with a decent chance of scoring. Matt Stafford is noted as an all-time kingmaker, and Higbee has had fantasy runs before (once drafted as a top-10 tight end). The source added him in many leagues and started him in three or four deeper leagues, expressing happiness with his role.

Insight page

Tyquan Thornton

NegativeInjury1:53

Taquan Thornton dislocated his ankle, creating depth chart opportunity in the Chiefs wide receiver room.

Insight page

Tyreek Hill

PositiveValue1:45

Tyreek Hill's agent Drew Rosenhouse reported that Hill will sign with the Kansas City Chiefs this week. Hill was relatively efficient in limited 2024 action before a season-ending injury. The source recommends adding Hill if you have a strong fantasy team (4-0 or 3-1 record) needing playoff depth. However, Hill is targeting a November return and likely unavailable until Week 8 or later, so the source advises against spending significant FAB dollars given the delayed contribution timeline and upcoming bye weeks.

Insight page

Will Shipley

PositiveValue0:11

Will Shipley is the only other running back on the Eagles with game snaps this season and will retain his long down and distance role with Saquon Barkley out Week 5 and Tank Bsby sidelined. Mattek Fantasy Football recommends bidding aggressively on waivers, though does not project a 16–18 touch per game role. Shipley was a productive college prospect at Clemson and should see early-down opportunities.

0:00I'm going to be honest with you guys.
0:01Most of the waiverwire advice I have seen is really bad this week. Obviously, we are going to cover some of the
0:06obvious names that everyone else is doing, but there are two secret guys for me that I think you need to be making
0:11rather large waiver claims on that are mostly going under discussed in Spanish football. We are obviously going to begin with the Philadelphia Eagles. Will
0:18Shipley played all the long down and distance, but Saquon Barkley is not going to play in week five. And Tank Bsby is having to have core muscle
0:25surgery, which leaves Will Shipley as the only other running back on the Eagles who has played a snap yet this year. Now, do I think Will Shipley is
0:33going to step in to a 16, 17, 18 touch per game role? I don't. We're going to talk a little bit more about the other
0:39Eagles running backs who are going to be available to them. This could be a trade destination. This hamstring injury for Barkley, I do think is pretty severe. I
0:47would not count on seeing Barkley in week six either. I would not count on seeing Tank Bsby anytime soon. I do
0:53think you can bid pretty aggressively on Will Shipley. He is certainly going to retain his job as the long down and
0:59distance back and I think he's going to get a chance to play on early downs and see if there's anything there. He was
1:03kind of an interesting prospect at Clemson. a pretty productive player in college, but and and I do think Shipley's like, let's say he was a
1:10better ad than either of the Miami guys last week, but compared to someone like Emanuel Wilson, like I do think Emanuel
1:16Wilson will probably project better than Will Shipley in terms of fantasy points this upcoming week and whatever week they are both going to be starters. Then
1:25we have to talk about Keon Coleman. DJ Moore reinjured his shoulder. Coleman was awesome in this last game. 23 PPR points, 78% routes, 23% of the targets.
1:34We saw Daltton Concincaid's role minimized in the offense 49% of the routes last week. I do think part of that is because Keon Coleman has played
1:42so well and it really should not be that surprising for someone who was, you know, a firstround draft pick. The Bills
1:48did really like Keon Coleman. One of the things that Joe Brady said was the best thing that could have happened to Keon
1:53Coleman's career was me getting promoted to head coach because I really like Keon Coleman. That's something that was reported that Joe Brady did say to Keon
2:02Coleman this offseason and it looks to be true. I mean, he to me does look like one of the better waiver wire wide
2:07receiver ads of the year up until this point. I mean, you get to buy into the Josh Allen offense. And Coleman fits
2:14into a better role in my mind than DJ Moore even does because Coleman is most effective down the field. And you can
2:20see that those plays that Josh Allen is trying to extend with his legs, those plays are largely going to Keon Coleman.
2:26He's like a 15% free agent acquisition budget bid for me. Obviously, the guy that I think we have to talk about that
2:32is being missed by most waiverwire analysts is Mike Cassiki. Mike Cassiki in his career when Tiggins doesn't play averages 10.7 PPR points per game, over
2:41four receptions, uh almost.3 touchdowns per game in those games. And the big thing is this, Gasiki is clearly a very talented pass catcher, but he is a very
2:51bad blocker, which is why he doesn't get to play all that often. However, when one of Jamar Chase or T Higgins is
2:56injured, he then gets promoted to basically being a full-time slot wide receiver, I would consider the role that he played in last week for the Bengals
3:04with Jamar Chase and Tiggins banged up to not be that dissimilar to the role that Brock Bowowers plays with the Las
3:10Vegas Raiders. You know, last week for the Raiders, both Michael Mayer and Brock Bowowers played as full-time players. That is what is going to happen
3:18with Mike Cassiki. We are going to see him have a 70% route share. I think Tiggins is probably going to miss
3:23multiple weeks. Jamar Chase, there's a chance that he is able to play against the Dolphins, but I will have Gassiki ranked as a top 10 tight end very likely
3:31in any given week that one of Tigans or Jamar Chase does not play. So, I will be adding him. Like, for example, I would
3:38rather add Mike Cassiki than TJ Hawinson this upcoming week, which I think is probably going to be an unpopular opinion coming off of that very good
3:46game that T.J. Hawinson just had. And then obviously, I mean, we don't need to spend much time talking about it. We
3:50talked about him a ton last week, but Emanuel Wilson is the top ad. Uh, in terms of if you need week five points, I
3:58just assume that in every competitive league, Emanuel Wilson has already been added. Moving to the A tier, we got to talk about Tyreek Hill. So, we had a
4:05report from Adam Sheper who said that Tyreek Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhouse, said that he is going to be signing basically this week. The expectation, at
4:13least for me, would be that he will sign with the Kansas City Chiefs. Taquan Thornton dislocated his ankle and then Rashi Rice injured his hamstring. The
4:21Chiefs have a buy in week five. We'll see if Rashi Rice is able to play in week six. Sounds like there is a chance
4:27for Rashi Rice to play. But basically the deal with Tyreek Hill is if you have a good fantasy football team. If you
4:33have a 4-0 team, if you have a three in one team, Tyreek Hill is the exact type of guy you need to add. He was
4:38relatively efficient in the few games that he did play last season before he suffered the season ending injury. Now, I don't think Tyreek Hill is going to be
4:45able to play all that soon. Even if, like, let's say I post this video and Tyreek Hill does sign with the Kansas
4:50City Chiefs. He's not playing in week six. He's probably not playing in week seven. The reports have been that he is
4:56targeting a November return. He could be very, very useful, you know, down the stretch in fantasy football, particularly if Rashi Rice is not able
5:03to return. But in the context of the Chiefs offense, I and and let's say he's able to return to his 2024 levels of
5:10efficiency when he was a good but not great fantasy football wide receiver.
5:14That's still a very useful guy to pick up in fantasy football right now. And if you were asking me, do I want to pick up
5:21Tyreek Hill or Jordan Tyson? Honestly, uh you know, I'm having a tough time answering that question. I think Tyson is probably the better ad because I
5:30would expect the volume to be better and I would expect the efficiency to be similar, you know, and and we're going
5:35to talk more about Jordan Tyson here in a little bit, but every other fantasy football video is talking about Tyreek Hill. You know, he's already owned in a
5:42good number of leagues, but I I think he probably will sign with the Kansas City Chiefs this week, and I think he is
5:47going to be a very popular waiver war. I would not go crazy fab dollars for him though, particularly because I just
5:53don't think he's going to contribute points to you all that soon. And we are now heading into the by-week part of the
5:58season. Injuries are going to continue to mount up. You're going to be tempted to drop Tyreek Hill because it's going to be week eight and he still is not
6:06going to be producing any points on your roster. Trey Harris is I think one of the big beneficiaries of the Chargers
6:12just falling apart. 91% of the routes, 70% of the targets. Lad Manunky got injured again. Marquez Bald scaling is now running 70% of the routes for this
6:21team. The Chargers are going nowhere and they're going nowhere very quickly, but Trey Harris is kind of a consistent metronome for them. Quinton Johnston is
6:29I I mean, I knew Quinton Johnson was bad at football. I did not know he was this bad. So Trey Harris, I've mentioned him
6:35a ton in the waiverwire stuff, but he basically kind of just my favorite.
6:39Sneak him through on waivers, spend a buck or two. I mean, obviously don't use a number one waiver priority on him or
6:44anything, but I do think there are reasons to be rostering and reasons to be optimistic about Harris specifically in fantasy football. Dante Meyers for
6:52the Cincinnati Bengals, 15 points last week. Such an interesting guy. He went to two different colleges. He went to Presbyterian College and then Delta
6:59State University. His final collegiate season got cancelled by COVID. Then he goes and plays in the CFL. Kind of bangs around in the CFL. Then makes the CFL
7:08Allstars in 2025. has a very good season. Then signs with the Cincinnati Bengals. They had a couple young guys they were actually excited about.
7:16Colobby Young um and then Andre Yoshi Boss. Meyers has yanked Andre Yoshi Voss's chain and now T. Higgins is not playing. Dante Meyers assumes T.
7:25Higgins's role and then actually after assuming Jamar Chase's role, they get to play the Miami Dolphins this week. I do think I will probably have Myers ranked
7:33as like a top 45 receiver against the Dolphins this upcoming week. I mean, you're going to know your roster better than mine, but I do think Myers is a
7:41good source of oneweek points. And then if Teigans requires surgery or something like this for this adductor injury, then I do think Myers can be, you know,
7:49basically a full-time player in one of the heaviest pass rate over expectation offenses in football. The media asked Joe Burrow last week about the pass to
7:57run ratio. They had one of the most heavy pass to run ratios in the NFL in week four. And you know what Joe Burrow
8:03said? He said, "Sounds great. I think we need to pass it even more." which means that Gasiki Meyers, you know, kind of
8:08whoever is available in that offense, there's so much passing volume available and Joe Burrow is so efficient that these guys actually are like better.
8:16Even if Dante Myers himself is just an okay player, it doesn't really matter because the pass volume is so extensive in the Bengals offense. I did want to
8:23make sure to talk about Jordan Tyson because we got a report from Nick Underh Hill this week that Jordan Tyson has
8:29resumed running off to the side on Saints practice. Now, the Saints have a buy in week eight. So, I think the
8:35earliest you're going to feel comfortable putting Jordan Tyson in your lineup is probably week nine. But when I again when I'm comparing him to Tyreek
8:42Hill, I think that the volume path for Jordan Tyson is so much clearer. Chris Alave limped off uh on Monday Night
8:49Football against the Atlanta Falcons at the very final drive. We know that Chris Ave is very fragile. I know all you guys
8:55love Jawan Johnson and you guys love Devon Ble. One thing I've learned since doing these fantasy football videos is that people really, really love Devon
9:03Ble. And you know, Veil is a nice story or whatever. However, when Jordan Tyson returns to the lineup after being drafted eighth overall by the New
9:10Orleans Saints, my expectation would be that he is a better player than Devon Ble and that he is going to be more
9:15capable of earning volume than Devon.
9:18So, I am starting on my good teams, you know, my 4-0 teams, my three in one teams. I'm starting to add Jordan Tyson
9:24quite a bit. He is one of the injured guys right now that I think has insanely high fantasy football upside when he
9:31does in fact return to the lineup. You know, we have seen the crazy pass volume for the New Orleans Saints. The defense
9:36is not very good. We we you know, Tyler Shuck basically uh Tyler Shuck right now in the first half of games is bottom
9:42five in the NFL and EPA per play. And then in the fourth quarters of games, he's top 10 in the NFL in EPA per play.
9:48So, we've seen the way that that offense plays out in given games. Malik Washington, we talked about him last week, 12 PBR points, 90% of the routes,
9:5630% of the targets. I do think if you had to start a Dolphins wide receiver, it would obviously be Malik Washington
10:01over Chris Bell. Chris Bell did have a 60-yard touchdown called back by a very tickytack penalty. His foot just like barely stepped out of balance, but the
10:10Miami Dolphins only ran 39 plays last week. The fact is the Dolphins are just not very good. But Malik Washington does
10:15provide a nice fantasy football floor.
10:18Did not end up getting used as a running back at all. But again, they only ran 39 plays. Maybe in a game where they run
10:23more like an NFL average 60 plays, we do see a little bit of Malik Washington used out of the backfield. Uh and then
10:29our final A tier, Tyler Higgby, 11 PPR points, 76% of the routes, 12% of the targets last week. With Kobe Parkinson
10:36out, and with Terence Ferguson out, he was the primary receiving tight end.
10:40Second round pick, Max Cla played only one snap that was in 13 personnel. The Rams did not play very much 13 personnel
10:46without Kobe Parkinson in and only Davis Allen and Higgby available. But the key thing here to me is that in a league
10:53where I need a tight end, I now have the evidence of the most recent two games that Tyler Higgby is Terrence Ferguson's
10:58backup. It's not Kobe Parkinson, it's not Davis Allen, it's not Max Claire, it's Tyler Higgby. And I think even if Parkinson returns next week, I would
11:06basically expect this to be Tyler Higgby's role. I think he'll run about 75% of the routes. And I think his target share will be between 12, you
11:13know, and and 18% of the Los Angeles Rams offense with a decent chance of scoring a touchdown. And Matt Stafford is an all-time kingmaker. We've seen
11:21Tyler Higgby go on these runs in fantasy football before. I mean, I think a lot of us remember there was actually once a
11:26year where Tyler Higgby was drafted as a top 10 tight end in fantasy football.
11:30And Higgby would be a guy that I mean, I added him in a ton of leagues last week and I actually started him in like three
11:37or four of my deeper leagues last week and I was happy to do it. I I was very happy with the role he had. So that's
11:41the S tier and the A tier. Moving to the B tier, we begin with Jaylen Royals. So, no Taekwon Thornton for likely the rest
11:49of the season. It would be my expectation that if Rashi Rice is not able to play in week six, that it would
11:55be Jaylen Royals that would assume his role. It's a little bit unclear to me exactly who is going to take the role
12:01vacated by Taekquin Thornton. I do think Jayen Royals is probably Rashi Rice's backup, but the Chiefs did not play any snaps out of 11 personnel after Taekquin
12:10left the game. It was Noah Gray who played more. So, it was Jaylen Royals and Noah Gray who played a ton more. We
12:16are obviously going to talk about Cyrus Allen. I wouldn't go too crazy on either one of these guys. I would not spend
12:22more than one to 2%. I think we're going to see the Kansas City Chiefs run a lot.
12:25I think we're going to see Noah Gray play a lot of empty calorie snaps. And I think the passing offense is largely
12:31going to coalesce around Xavier Worthy and around Travis Kelce. I think their target shares are going to increase. But if I had to pick one Kansas City Chiefs
12:39guy right now, my guess would be Jaylen Royals runs more routes than Cyrus Allen. I mean, if they sign Tyreek Hill
12:45and Tyreek is there in week eight, then I guess these guys are not going to be that relevant. But when the Chiefs are
12:50playing 11 personnel in week six, they have a week five buy and Rashi Rice is able to play. It'll be really
12:56interesting who plays in that taekwond role, is it going to be Jaylen Royals?
13:00Is it going to be Cyrus Allen? I I mean Jaylen Royals has played a lot more than Cyrus Allen already this season, but
13:07it's totally possible that with two weeks off, you know, I mean, Andy Reid uh and Eric Benemy are going to have a
13:11lot of time to think about what they want to do without Taekquin. It's very possible that Cyrus ends up winning that
13:17role. I have Cyrus Allen highlighted here. I mean, he literally only ran two routes in this game. He was targeted on
13:23one of those snaps. Not going crazy on either one of them. In leagues where I need wide receivers, I would maybe
13:28spend, you know, two to 3% of my free agent acquisition budget on them. And I do prefer Tyreek for both of them. We do
13:35need to return to the Philadelphia Eagles backfield, though, because their entire backfield rotation is now injured. These are the three running
13:42backs they have on the practice squad.
13:43Damen Pierce, who used to be on the Houston Texans, Jaden Blue, who used to be on the Dallas Cowboys, and Carson
13:48Steel, who used to be on the Kansas City Chiefs. We have seen all of these guys be kind of interesting in the NFL in
13:54limited roles. Carson Steel started a game for the Chiefs. Jaden Blue started week 18 for the Cowboys last year. Damen Pierce had a thousand yards for the
14:01Houston Texans in uh his first NFL season, but then when the team switched to a zone running scheme, he basically could not do it. The reason why I wanted
14:09to include these guys, particularly for deeper leagues, is Will Shipley just does not necessarily profile as a guy who is going to handle the early down
14:18work. I think it's one of the reasons why they acquired Tank Bixby to begin with was they liked Will Shipley in that
14:25long down a distance role and they wanted a more direct backup for Saquon Barkley. Of these three guys, the one who profiles the best is the direct
14:33backup to Tank Bsby would be Damen Pierce. Damen Pierce is a very likefor-like replacement in terms of who is going to be activated for their next
14:42game. Um, I believe they they play this game in London. I mean, Carson Steel is the one who offers the ability to play
14:49special teams. Now, if you're asking me, you're you're telling me truth serum and you're saying which one of these guys is
14:55the best running back, it's easily Jaden Blue. And it's not even close. I mean, Jaden Blue, if Jaden Blue was a like
15:01good guy, I mean, every story you hear about Jaden Blue is that he is like a nightmare. When he got cut by the
15:06Cowboys, Brian Shottenheimimer was like, "Yeah, we don't even want you back.
15:09Like, we don't even want you on the practice squad. You know, go figure it out elsewhere." But if it was just about
15:14who is best on the field, it would definitely be Jaden Blue. If I thought it was about who is the best team
15:20player, who's the best gamer, it's definitely Carson Steel. If it's who is the best like for like replacement for Tank Bsby, it would be Damen Pierce.
15:28We're going to get a ton more information about these guys. I mean, you can kind of like in deeper leagues, 14 team leagues, 16 team leagues,
15:35whatever. You can kind of spend a buck on whoever of them. My ranking of them would be Jaden Blue first, Damen Pierce
15:41second, and Carson Steel third. Do I have any particular insight here? Do I think any of them are going to be
15:48startable in this upcoming week? No, I don't. But I think we have seen with both the Seahawks and um with the the
15:54Miami Dolphins that the market has been wrong about these things. I mean, everyone was going like all my comments last week were saying Jaylen Wright's
16:01going to be the starting running back for the Dolphins. I disagreed with that.
16:04you know, all my comments were saying that Emanuel Wilson is going to lose work to George Alani. That that obviously um did not happen. And the
16:11speaking of that, uh well, we're we're going to talk about Bryce Lance, but I want to talk about Joe Mixon. So, Joe
16:17Mixon signed with the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. Um they also activated Robert Henry Jr., who was on the Commanders in the preseason to be their
16:26running back three. Joe Mixon had very little left the last time we saw him and then he had this potentially career-ending foot injury. The last we
16:34saw him in 2024, he got a bunch of raw points but was very very non-efficient in that season. It was one of his worst
16:41success rate seasons in the NFL. It was his worst receiving season in terms of efficiency in the NFL. Zack Charbanet um
16:49you know has returned to practice, has been doing some team drills. His 21-day window has been open, so we are going to
16:55see him return. It's unclear to me how long Jadarian Price is going to be out.
16:59I would definitely prefer to taking uh old guys who are injured. I would prefer Tyreek Hill to Joe Mixon. And in for my
17:06own leagues with my own money where I'm trying to win, I would prefer to add one of the Eagles guys because I think
17:12you're closer to being able to start one of the Eagles guys. Like, how surprising would it be if Damen Pierce got 13
17:18rushes this week for the Eagles? I It would not be that surprising to me. I would be surprised if Joe Mixon played
17:24in week five for the Seattle Seahawks and then we're talking about well okay Joe Mixon could very easily like he could be waved you know he signs a he
17:33signs a oneweek deal you know with the with the Seattle Seahawks he's on the practice squad Charbanet's ahead of schedule Jadarian Price returns and then
17:40all of a sudden there's just no room on the roster for Joe Mixon I I think it's totally fine to add him if you have a
17:46belief in him or maybe you think Emanuel Wilson stinks or you think George Hani stinks but I could compare this Joe
17:53Mixon signing to like Melvin Gordon signing with the Kansas City Chiefs or Devontto Freeman signing with the Baltimore Ravens, you know, later in his
18:01career. I I don't think that the Seattle Seahawks signed Joe Mixon to, you know, be a big part of their offense. The
18:07reason why I wanted to mention Bryce Lance was the aforementioned injury to Chris Ave. Now, according to the coaching staff, it was no big deal, but
18:15we have seen Chris Ave limp off before and not return. Um, Bryce Lance has generally been a full-time player. I I
18:22mean, he saw five targets in the Monday Night Football game, did not convert any of them, but has a very high average
18:28depth of the target. He played 85% of the snaps for the New Orleans Saints.
18:32And I know Jordan Tyson is coming back soon, but if Chris Alav were to miss any time, Lance would be a pretty
18:38interesting ad to me in deeper formats.
18:42And I just I'm very intrigued by the physical profile of Bryce Lance. It's also very odd for day three picks to
18:48like earn starting jobs in the NFL. So, it's just interesting to me that Bryce Lance immediately earned a starting role. And then I did just want to shout
18:55out Mai Lemon who had an 18% target share and an 84% route share with Devonte Smith out. They used him in a
19:02slightly different way. He actually started the game uh against the Los Angeles Rams very well. He had, I believe, three for 39 in the first two
19:09drives and then did not have a reception for the rest of the game. I am not buying into the Darius Cooper two
19:14touchdown game. And sadly, I think the Dantavian Wixs experience has kind of passed us by. I'm a huge fan of Dantavian Wix. I've always loved
19:22Dantavian Wixs, but I wanted to see Mai Lemon used as a real receiver and he was used as a real receiver uh this final
19:30week and and the Eagles have to change something up and now maybe with Barkley they they are able to change something
19:35up. I mean Jayen Herz has played very poorly to start the year. I have always kind of been a pro, not even kind of, I
19:41have always been a pro Jaylen Herz guy.
19:43So, I'm excited. Um, and and Lemon is just a guy I thought he was such a phenomenal prospect coming out of USC.
19:49Uh, and I I I don't like the Eagles passing offense at all, but I I hope that with Dallas got it returning.
19:55Hopefully, Devont Smith is able to play in week six. Sounds like he's not going to play in week five. I I think I'm I'm
20:01hoping there are better things to come from the Eagles offense. All right, down to the Ctier. Kind of getting to the end
20:06here. Roman Wilson only a 40% route share but absolutely smashed in the Thursday night game. I I don't really believe but there are worse sources of
20:14potential points. Antonio Williams had a 80 yard touchdown called back by penalty. 73% route share 24% target share. I called him out last week in the
20:22Saturday video as a sneaky start. Really wish that 80 yard touchdown would have held. But my assumption that with Terry McLuren out then Antonio Williams would
20:31have a full route share proved to be true. Antonio Williams is better than Van Jefferson. He's better than Deami Brown. He's better than I mean I don't
20:39know. I think I think he's probably better than Trayon Burks at this stage of his career. So Antonio Williams a guy
20:43I remain high on. Mitch Tinsley if Jamar Chase is not able to play with his concussion. So if T. Higgins and Jamar
20:51Chase are both out. I would rather have Mitchell Tinsley on my roster than I would rather have anyone else. I I feel
20:58I mean you know whatever. Very low-end ad here. Kendre Miller was the running back too for the New Orleans Saints and
21:04Alvin Kamar got banged up in that Monday night football game. Only played 26% of the snaps, 13% of the long down a
21:10distance. But hey, I mean you know there is every chance that Alvin Kamara who is you know getting up there in his career
21:17uh you know is is having to miss time at some point. Uh he briefly exited the game in the third quarter uh evaluated
21:24in the blue tent u and then did end up returning to action. But I don't know, maybe it's one of those things that ends
21:29up, you know, it hurts a little bit more after the game for Kamara. Caleb Johnson uh had a chance to take this job away
21:36from Marshon Lloyd, ripped off a nice 31 yard run. Then guess what happened? He fumbled right before the goal line, was
21:42about to score a touchdown, and then he fumbled instead. There was a very damning quote from Matt Laflur this week where he said, "Hey, these guys have to
21:48hold on to the rock or they're not going to play." The reason why I still included Caleb Johnson is that Chris
21:53Brooks is injured. Pierre Strong is going to be called up in Chris Brooks's spot. I have no idea what the playing
21:59time between Caleb Johnson, Marshon Lloyd, and Pierre Strong is going to be.
22:02My sense would be that Pierre Strong is going to get a chance to play the long down and distance stuff, but is not
22:07going to get any early down rushing.
22:09Marshon Lloyd has just been so so so bad. I like actually cannot believe how bad Marshon Lloyd has been. It looks
22:16like he's playing football without hamstrings. And also worth noting, Marshon Lloyd also had a fumble in the fourth quarter. uh his fumble went out
22:22of bounds. But if we're talking about just putting the ball on the ground in general, Marshon Lloyd has two fumbles already this season on very limited
22:30work. I continue to think that Caleb Johnson is the best early down rusher on this team, which is saying very little
22:36because every running back on the Green Bay Packers is terrible. They have the worst running back room in the NFL. And
22:41and at some point, I I do think Josh Jacobs will come off the commissioner's exempl list and return. Uh then we get
22:47to Austin Neckler who played 26% of the snaps. He was kind of the third down back and stuff for the Washington
22:53Commanders. My long down and distance numbers must have gotten messed up there. I don't know why that is. Jaory Kroski Merit man, it's just not
23:00happening. They will play anyone other than Jaka Kroski Merit. So with Rashad White out, hey, if you are desperately in need of 4.7 PPR points, Austin Eckler
23:09can do that for you. Troy Franklin ran 39% of the routes after Pat Bryant left the game with an ankle sprain. Pat
23:15Bryant is probably going to miss about a month of the season. Troy Franklin is going to get his routes. The issue is
23:20Troy Franklin is not as good as Pat Bryant. But again, in very deep leagues, if you're trying to buy some routes, you
23:25can do Troy Franklin. Roshan Johnson, I mentioned him because DeAndre Swift left in the third quarter after fumbling. And then apparently at the very end of the
23:34game, Kyle Manungai injured his hand.
23:36That is according to head coach Ben Johnson. If Kyle Manungai were to miss time, I mean, we know the Bears are just
23:43absolutely running the air out of the ball. Roshan Johnson has had limited fantasy football value before. He could have limited fantasy football value
23:50again. You obviously don't feel that good about it. But if Kyle Manungi were to miss time, I mean, if Kyle Manungai
23:55broke his thumb on his primary hand, that is not particularly great for carrying the ball. We'll get more information about that. And then Eftton
24:02Chisum had one of the most impressive touchdown catches I have ever seen. Uh his final the final touchdown catch, the one if you have not seen it, the crazy
24:11one-handed touchdown reception. He ran 43% of the routes and got 10% of the targets. Matt Collins got banged up in this game, which then leaves the
24:18Patriots with I mean the Patriots wide receiver room, it's got to be one of the worst in the NFL at this stage. We still
24:25do not have AJ Brown back, M. Collins got banged up. So, their wide receivers would be M I guess it would be Romeo
24:30Dubs, Deario Douglas, Effan Chisum with Kyle Williams as like a rotational guy.
24:35Again, we're not going crazy, but hey, I I mean, 75% of their routes with my guy Drake May, and they have a good matchup
24:43this week against the Raiders. I I think we've all done worse. Real quick notes here for Superflex. Tyler Huntley is going to be a top pick up in Superflex
24:50leagues. The Baltimore Ravens have a really good matchup this week. And it sounds like there's a chance that Lamar Jackson misses multiple weeks, but the
24:58Ravens play in the dome against the Falcons. Shout out to the Baklava Bomber, Athen Calamanicus.
25:05I have never been so astonished watching a guy I've never seen play an NFL game before. Every time this guy, the Baklava
25:13bomber, dropped back, he was trying to throw 70 yard bombs. Jaden Daniels is apparently returning to practice and hoping to play this upcoming week for
25:20the Commanders. We'll see, you know, we'll see that the guy had a full immobilizing brace on his arm last week. We'll see.
25:29Uh but and then Marcus Mariota is expected to miss a little bit of time.
25:33The reason why I included Carson Wentz here was I've been down this road with Kyler Murray before. I I think Kyler
25:39Murray, despite the Vikings being 4-0, I think Kyler Murray is heading towards being benched. The Vikings are 31st in the NFL in yards per play. Two of their
25:47wins came without an offensive touchdown. Although that stat is fake because TJ Hawinson could have scored a touchdown against the Dolphins if he
25:54wanted to and just choose to kneel down and end the game on offense as he said.
25:59But these are three guys I'm interested in in superflex formats. Our streaming defenses very easy this week. The Cincinnati Bengals. They are 23% owned
26:07on Yahoo. We definitely want to pick them up. Any defense against the Miami Dolphins is tops in fantasy football.
26:13The Dallas Cowboys play on Thursday night against Jaylen Daniels. We saw how poor Jaylen Daniels was in that game this last week. And you know, he was
26:21maybe a little bit more of a gamer than I even thought, but I am just really really concerned that Jaylen Daniels is
26:26just going to be too turnoverprone. I know people always say like, "Oh, you can't pick up bad defenses. The Cowboys defense sucks." Look, man, these
26:33quarterbacks are worse than some of these bad defenses. We have the Indianapolis Colts. They play against the Steelers. The reason why we like the
26:40Colts is the freaking Steelers throw the air out of the ball. I mean, they are going to be setting pass rate over
26:47expectation records this year, the Pittsburgh Steelers. and Aaron Rodgers, you know, he can he can still turn it back like once every four pass attempts
26:54and look like Peak Rogers, but the overall Steelers offense has been very underwhelming. And then the Cleveland Browns get to play at the New York Jets
27:01this week. The Browns defense been a little bit better than I expected. And Gino without Adnai Mitchell, I know it sounds crazy, but without Adai Mitchell,
27:09uh, and without Bree Hall, the straw that stirs the drink, um, it's it's not been it's not been near as good. I I'm
27:15worried about the Jets offense. Our streaming kickers pretty easy this week.
27:18Daniel Carlson in the dome. That one's very easy. Chad Ryland, I think, is going to be a top top top pickup. Very
27:25high total in that game. 53 and a half point total. It's the highest total of the week by I think six overall points
27:32for the Arizona Cardinals and the Detroit Lions. Feel very good about Chad Ryland. And then Dominic Zvada for the New York Giants gets to play at the
27:39Washington Commanders. If the Baklaba bomber starts this game, I would expect it to be a pretty good performance for the New York Giants. and Zabata is like
27:471% owned in fantasy football. And then we have our drop list which you guys have asked for. Tank is an obvious drop.
27:53Pat Bryant is an obvious drop with the ankle injury. Jaylen Wright to me a very obvious drop. I mean just didn't play.
27:58Olly Gordon was way ahead of him. What are you saving the running back two for on the Miami Dolphins? Like if you won
28:04Jaylen Wright on waiverss last week, go ahead and pick up one of the Eagles guys. Pick up Joe Mixon there. Like I
28:09don't know what you're hoping for with Jaylen Wright. Khif Raymond very easy drop. Two points last week. That experience is going to be over.
28:15Dantavian Wix 97% of the routes, four points. I would rather have Mai Lemon.
28:20Uh Taj Spears has been out carried 51 to 15 against Tony Pard, you know, losing snaps. He's he's just a third down back
28:28on a terrible team. I I would rather find some upside there. Michael Pitman Jr. has been running a ton of routes,
28:33but I think Jeremy Bernard is coming for him. And then also, very surprisingly, Roman Wilson just like absolutely target per routeout run mogging Michael Pitman
28:41Jr. I really liked Michael Pitman Jr. as a as a you know overall ad as a as a draft guy this year and that's just
28:48going to be very wrong. Uh you know Pat Frymouth is going to be better than him and Jeremy is very specifically coming
28:53for his job. Jawan Jennings I I mean you know without Justin Jefferson did absolutely nothing just not happening for Jawan Jennings. George Helani with
29:01the mixon signing. He's clearly just a third down and distance back. Emanuel Wilson way ahead of him. Kyler Murray as I mentioned I mean I'm just not going to
29:08be starting him. I drafted Kyler Murray as a starter in multiple leagues. I think he is a pretty easy drop as we get
29:13to the by-weeks here. And then we got Jake Ferguson. All the routes but none of the targets. You know, I I would I
29:19I'll have Tyler Higgby be ranked ahead of Jake Ferguson this upcoming week. He just cannot earn enough targets. He's on the field every single snap and the guy
29:26has like a on the year he has a 10 and a half% target share. He he's getting mogged by Ryan Florenoi. So that is the
29:33week five fantasy football waiverwire. I will answer as many questions as possible down in the comments below. If you want to guarantee yourself getting a
