Dallas Goedert

NegativeUsage0:42

Ian Hartitz compares Rashee Rice's touchdown proximity to that of Dallas Goedert, noting that Rice's scores frequently come from very close to the goal line, highlighting his limited usage profile.

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeUsage0:37

Ian Hartitz mentions Kenneth Walker's usage inside the 10-yard line as a potential factor that could reduce the frequency of 'gadgety' touchdowns for other players in the Chiefs' offense.

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeUsage0:23

Ian Hartitz notes that Patrick Mahomes consistently expresses a desire to utilize the deep ball during the offseason, yet Rashee Rice has only caught one pass thrown 30+ yards downfield in his career, suggesting Rice lacks the capability to fulfill that specific role in the Chiefs' offense.

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust0:00

Ian Hartitz is fading Rashee Rice for 2026 due to significant off-field risks that could lead to his removal from the Chiefs or the league. On the field, Rice is limited by a 4.7-yard average target depth—the lowest among wide receivers since 2023—and leads the position in screen target percentage. With only one career catch on passes 30+ yards downfield, Hartitz argues Rice's current ADP (WR8 to WR13, rounds 2-3) is too high for a player with such a limited role in an offense that has struggled recently. Furthermore, his touchdown profile is limited, with scores frequently coming from very close to the goal line, similar to Dallas Goedert's usage.

0:00I am fading Rashee Rice ahead of the
0:022026 [music]
0:03fantasy football season. He's going as
0:04early as wide receiver eight, as low as
0:07wide receiver 13 in our home at least
0:08cohort, and in round two, maybe mid
0:11round three. That's what we have to use
0:12for a guy who is one single mistake,
0:16knucklehead move, whatever you want to
0:18call it away from probably being off the
0:20Chiefs and arguably being out of the
0:22league, guys. That's what we're dealing
0:23with here. We have heard Mahomes every
0:25single off season talking about getting
0:27back in the deep ball like it's the
0:28Green Goblin mask calling out for him.
0:30Rice has caught one pass in his career
0:32thrown 30-plus yards downfield. Don't
0:34you think they would have been tapping
0:35more into that if the man could go out
0:37there and do it? Kenneth Walker now
0:39inside the 10, maybe that takes away
0:40from some of the gadgety, you know,
0:42touchdowns. Rashee Rice literally has
0:44Dallas Goedert numbers in terms of his
0:46touchdowns coming so close to the goal
0:48line. 4.7 yard average target depth
0:52since 2023. Dead last.
0:55He leads all wide receivers percentage
0:57of targets that were screens. He is such
1:00a limited player that we're having to
1:01draft so early in an offense that just
1:03hasn't even been good recently. Give me
1:06anyone other than Rashee Rice at the end
1:07of round two and in round three.
