Monangai's return will establish a fire-and-ice type of duo with Swift, allowing the Chiefs' run-first offense to distribute the workload between run and pass; this should help an already high-flying offense take another step forward, especially as weather gets colder and field conditions deteriorate.

Black is averaging 2.6 yards per carry in the red zone but 3.9 yards per carry on non-red-zone carries. While he shows positive traits—bouncing off tackles, falling forward, and gaining yards after contact—he also gets stuffed behind the line and fails to force missed tackles. Black struggles with decision-making in 1-on-1 situations, often bouncing runs unnecessarily or stopping his feet in the backfield instead of being aggressive.

Isiah Pacheco did not enter the league with the expectations that surrounded Kenneth Walker, Kareem Hunt, or some of the franchise's earlier stars. A seventh-round pick in 2022, Pacheco earned his opportunities through a physical running style and relentless effort. His production during his first extended stretch as Kansas City's primary rushing option wasn't nearly as explosive as Walker's, but he contributed to Kansas City's championship success, demonstrating that a running back's impact isn't always measured by eye-popping statistics.

Walker's addition to the Chiefs is allowing Patrick Mahomes to reach a career-high 33% play-action percentage on passing plays; the only other time Mahomes exceeded 30% as a starter was in 2018 when he played most of the season with second-year running back Kareem Hunt, indicating Walker's role as a featured back is unlocking the offense's play-action potential.
