Darnold's contract is elite value, closer to MVP tier than to Mahomes.

The source argues that Sam Darnold represents exceptional value as a middle-class reclamation quarterback contract; Darnold is positioned as closer to the elite MVP-capable quarterback tier than that tier is to Patrick Mahomes, while costing only 60 percent of the premium paid to top-tier quarterbacks.
