Breece Hall

NegativeValue3:27

Dave Richard advises against drafting Breece Hall at his 32nd overall ADP, citing a lack of upside in a committee-heavy offense that utilizes three running backs; Richard notes Hall averaged only 13 PPR points per game last year and expects continued frustration.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeValue7:24

Dave Richard considers DK Metcalf a bust at his top-80 ADP, arguing he is barely a top-100 player because he is no longer the locked-in alpha in the Steelers' offense following the addition of Michael Pittman and the emergence of younger receivers and tight ends.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeValue6:31

Dave Richard believes Jamison Williams is being drafted at least 10-20 spots too early at 55th overall, arguing he lacks consistent production when Sam LaPorta is on the field and will be squeezed for targets by LaPorta, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jahmyr Gibbs.

Insight page

Jaxson Dart

NegativeValue0:37

Dave Richard views Jaxson Dart as a bust at his current QB9 ADP (round 7-8 turn), noting concerns over his concussion history, the Giants' desire to limit his rushing, and inconsistent training camp performance; Richard prefers Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence at lower costs.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeValue10:08

Dave Richard warns that Kyle Pitts will likely disappoint for the sixth consecutive year, noting his fantasy production is heavily dependent on Drake London being off the field; Richard considers it a mistake to draft Pitts ahead of Sam LaPorta or Tucker Craft.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveValue12:08

Dave Richard views Sam LaPorta as a better value than Kyle Pitts, noting it is a "crime" that LaPorta is currently being drafted behind Pitts at his 75th overall ADP.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveValue12:08

Dave Richard suggests Tucker Craft is a better value than Kyle Pitts, noting it is a "crime" that Craft is currently being drafted behind Pitts at his 76th overall ADP.

0:00As the Beatles once said, don't let me down.
0:03But the players we're about to talk about have never heard that song.
0:07And that's probably true, Dave. These youngins, they don't know great music, but who are the players that are going to let us down in 2026?
0:15I decided to build a team of players who will let us down.
0:19So a quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers.
0:22A lot of this is based off of ADP on Fantasy Pros as of 1 p.m.
0:26Eastern on Friday, August 7th. So buckle up. Let's talk about a team that if you build this team in fantasy, you're
0:33not going to be a happy camper by the end of the year.
0:37Let's start a quarterback with Jaxson Dart, QB9 off the board at basically the round 7-8 turn.
0:42I think it's way too rich. And there are so many quarterbacks that are going after him, including Justin Herbert and Trevor
0:49Lawrence, who I would much rather have. Even though we know what Jaxson Dart is capable of doing as a runner, even
0:56though he's got Malik Nabors as his top wide receiver, I would rather have those two quarterbacks as an example who you
1:03can get later, according to ADP, ahead of Jaxson Dart, who on top of being kind of up and down in training
1:10camp practices so far, I think it's too soon to say that that's a factor.
1:14We know his concussion history. We know that the Giants want to run the ball a lot this year.
1:20We know they don't want Jaxson Dart to run a ton himself.
1:24So I think a lot of the upside that we had for him coming into the year, it's kind of going away
1:31now because he's not going to run as much.
1:33He might not be effective as a runner. I don't know how much he'll have to throw.
1:39I would rather have Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence.
1:41Okay. So how about the running backs on this?
1:44By the way, I think you could have done like a fab four, you know, anyway, why do a fab four when
1:51we could just do a whole team? Yeah, this is fantasy.
1:54It's the NFL. It's everything else. Why limit it to just four guys?
1:58Yeah, you're right. I bet you could guess who the two running backs based on ADP.
2:03Remember, I'm going to say next. It's a Darian price and Christian McCaffrey.
2:07You are wrong and also wrong. The two based on ADP are Brees Hall 32nd overall and Travion Henderson.
2:13His ADP is at 50.4. We are talking about a player in round three who I just still don't love his situation.
2:20Still don't love that the Jets want to use multiple running backs, not two running backs, three running backs.
2:26Two's a party, three's a crowd. And Brees Hall might be the feature back.
2:30And last year he was a feature back in the New York offense with Aaron Glenn as his head coach.
2:3617 plus touches per game, average 13 PPR points per game.
2:40I can't take somebody with that type of lack of upside in round three.
2:4413 PPR points per game. If he gives us that this year, I'd be very, very frustrated by taking him in round three.
2:51And what is making anybody confident that he can beat that other than he's Brees Hall and he's done it before?
2:57I'll grant you, he's Brees Hall. He's done it before.
3:00But his play caller isn't good and he wants to use multiple running backs.
3:05His head coach wants to use multiple running backs.
3:08Team isn't going to score a lot of points.
3:10I'm nervous to draft him and I'm especially nervous to draft Travion Henderson at 50th overall.
3:1550th overall is where I would draft Brees Hall.
3:18But Travion Henderson hasn't had the best camp so far.
3:21And again, we're only a week into camp. Things can change.
3:24But we know he's going to share with Ramondre Stevenson.
3:28We won't know when to feel good about starting Travion Henderson in fantasy unless Ramondre Stevenson misses time.
3:33For somebody like that, 50th overall, way too soon.
3:36Arguably, to me, the worst ADP out there. All right, wide receivers.
3:40We're going to go a little bit further down the board at wide receiver.
3:44I'm mostly okay with a lot of the wide receiver ADPs that are available.
3:48Let's say the first three or four rounds. But I'm still not a big fan of where Jamison Williams is going in drafts.
3:55And that spot, I'm doing the control F thing right now to make sure that this is right.
4:01It is 55th overall. I think that's at least 10 spots too soon, if not two rounds too soon, for a guy
4:08who's never been able to put up consistently strong fantasy points when Sam Laporta has been on the field.
4:13No denying the talent. But last year, when he was playing with Laporta and Amon-Ra St.
4:18Brown Brown, we're talking about 4.8 targets per game.
4:21The new play caller is Drew Petsing. Petsing does have a track record of leaning into his tight ends quite a bit.
4:28I think that's great for Laporta. I think a Munra will get his.
4:32I think Jameer Gibbs will get his. I don't think Jamison Williams will get his.
4:37There are too many Lions that are being drafted in the top 60 picks.
4:41Jamo is the one that I would go against.
4:44And then further down the board, DK Metcalf is a name we all know.
4:48It's a name we all used to love. He's going in the top 80.
4:52I think he's barely a top 100 pick. I think the Steelers made moves this offseason to take pressure off of Aaron
4:59Rodgers and not force him to throw to DK Metcalf and to his running backs.
5:04I think Michael Pittman is a very solid add for them.
5:07I like their young receivers. Jeremy Bernard, Roman Wilson's been getting some play.
5:11I even like their tight ends. Pat Fryermuth and Darnell Washington.
5:14I think they're going to get some play. But ultimately, I don't think DK Metcalf is going to be the locked in
5:21alpha in this offense week in and week out.
5:24I think he's being drafted way too soon. Looking behind him, there's Alec Pierce.
5:28There's Parker Washington. You know I'm going to take Parker Washington ahead of him.
5:33I'm not the biggest fan of Jordan Tyson for this season.
5:36I'd take Tyson ahead of DK Metcalf too. That's easy.
5:39If DK Metcalf is on my team, someone stole my password and drafted for me.
5:44It's just I will never draft him. I mean, if he's in like round 10, I might draft him.
5:49But where is the upside for DK Metcalf? And there's a lot of downside.
5:54So, yeah, completely agree with you there. And we're going to take a little break.
5:58And when we come back, we'll see who else is on the don't let me down or will.
6:04Yes, let me down team. On FFT. All right, Dave, what else we got?
6:08Tight end. It's a guy who's been letting us down for five years now, except for a five-game stretch last season when Drake London wasn't on the field.
6:17And obviously, that's Kyle Pitts. When Drake London was off the field, Kyle Pitts was amazing.
6:22He got a ton of targets, a ton of touchdowns.
6:25He was averaging well over 15 PPR points per game.
6:28That's a stud tight end for fantasy football. But when Drake London was on the field, this is 12 games last year, Atlanta.
6:35We're talking about not even 10 PPR points. In fact, he does not have a season other than last year because of
6:42that five-game stretch where he's averaged double-digit PPR points per game.
6:45We're going to need Drake London to either vanish in the offensive game plan or not be on the field for Kyle
6:52Pitts to be a super reliable fantasy tight end.
6:55You're still going to draft him. You're still going to start him if you draft him.
7:00But I don't think you should have high expectations.
7:02I think Kyle Pitts, for the sixth year in a row, is going to let you down.
7:08The ADP has just changed so much since we first started talking about tight ends and their ADPs maybe a month, a month and a half ago.
7:16I don't even know. But it used to be Laporta and Kyle Pitts were in the 90s.
7:21You can get them in round eight or nine.
7:24Now Kyle Pitts is going 70th. And Sam Laporta is going 75th.
7:28Tucker Craft is going 76th. Yeah, it's a crime that Laporta and Craft are going behind Kyle Pitts.
7:33These are all pretty expensive picks, though. So you've got to feel like pretty – and Harold Fannin Jr.
7:39is going 68th ahead of all three of those guys.
7:42So you've got to feel really good about your guy if you're going to take him there instead of Christian Watson, Jalen
7:49Hurts, Carnell Tate, Tony Pollard, Jaguars receivers, whatever the case may be.
7:53Okay, if you want to hear more busts, this is essentially what this is.
7:57We've got a lot of those coming up for you next week when we do sleepers, breakouts, and busts.
8:03We've got mock drafts to get to. I don't think I've talked enough about the pick-by-pick series.
8:08That's just written content. But we each wrote two articles about how to draft from different spots in the draft.
8:14I had picks two and eight, I believe. How to sleep.
8:18What did you have, Dave? I had three and nine.
8:21So I was picking right after you on the odd rounds.
8:24Yeah, sorry, man. That's a tough break. So anyway, yeah, if you know your draft spot, you can go to cbssports.com slash
8:31fantasy slash football and find those pick-by-pick articles and see different ways to build your team and the advice that we give you there.
8:38Thanks for watching and listening, everybody. Enjoy your weekend.
