105

Aaron Jones

NegativeDepth Chart7:36

Vikings running back at age 32; Jordan Mason is expected to be the running downs guy and starting back, with Aaron Jones' role potentially diminished; however, if Jones misses time (as he did for five games last year), the backup role becomes valuable.

Insight page

Adonai Mitchell

NegativeSleeper31:22

Mentioned as a sleeper candidate from ESPN training camp reporting by Solak and Fowler.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

NegativeInjury7:23

Has received a second PRP injection on his injured ankle, indicating ongoing injury concerns.

Insight page
NegativeInjury31:00

Dealing with second PRP injection in ankle; injury concern makes Josh Downs the preferred target for Colts receiving role.

Insight page
PositiveInjury40:38

Pierce is dealing with an injury that is expected to cause him to miss time, which creates a pathway for increased target volume for both Isaiah Downs and Tyler Warren.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveValue41:18

St. Brown was drafted after pick 100 overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 26 per game, exemplifying the historical trend of elite rookie wide receivers drafted late who outperform their ADP.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveValue6:49

Nix has been top 13 per game in both of his seasons yet is QB 17 in ADP; he remains a running quarterback with an improved receiving core (Jalen Waddell, Pat Bryant), and while the running back room is uncertain, his dual-threat ability and efficiency upside make him a late-round value pick despite playoff injury concerns.

Insight page
PositiveProjection9:14

In games where Bo Nix played at least 64% of snaps, he rushed for at least 40 yards per game on average; only eight quarterbacks in NFL history have averaged more than 40 yards rushing per game. He could lead the position in rushing yards and compete with Jaden Daniels and Lamar Jackson in that category. While he may not win many games or throw many passing touchdowns, his total numbers—especially rushing—could put him in the top 12 quarterback category if things go right.

Insight page
PositiveValue10:18

Bo Nix is the type of quarterback to target late as a second QB option when you already have a solid starter (Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes tier). He's intriguing because of rushing upside and is not a zero as a passer; the speaker loves his film from last year and sees a world where he keeps the Dolphins in games and becomes an awesome fantasy quarterback.

Insight page
NegativeSleeper31:48

Listed as one of Dave's sleeper picks for the draft; previously covered in discussion.

Insight page

Brandon Aiyuk

PositiveValue41:07

Aiyuk was drafted after pick 100 overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 19 per game, exemplifying the historical trend of elite rookie wide receivers drafted late who outperform their ADP.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveValue41:33

Thomas Jr. is cited as one of the recent rookie wide receivers drafted after pick 100 who smashed their ADP and finished top 24 overall or top 24 per game, part of a consistent historical trend.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveSleeper9:21

Caleb Douglas is mentioned as a potential breakout candidate from the receiver group, not necessarily because of elite talent but because of opportunity and potential touchdown upside in a system where target volume and speed are the common threads among successful late-round receiver breakouts.

Insight page
NegativeRole10:21

Receiver being targeted by Malik Willis in preseason; part of evolving receiving corps for the Dolphins.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveValue40:58

Lamb was drafted after pick 100 overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 35 per game, part of a consistent historical trend of elite rookie wide receivers drafted late who significantly outperform their ADP.

Insight page

Chase Claypool

PositiveValue40:51

Claypool was drafted 236th overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 32 per game, demonstrating the historical pattern of rookie wide receivers drafted after pick 100 significantly outperforming their ADP.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveValue41:28

Olave was drafted after pick 100 overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 27 per game, exemplifying the historical trend of elite rookie wide receivers drafted late who outperform their ADP.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveValue62:03

Rodriguez is going around pick 11 in the same vein as Tyrone Tracy and is probably being overlooked right now as a late-round running back option.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeUsage6:49

Chargers running back missing practice; part of team's three-running-back rotation with hot-hand approach.

Insight page
NegativeInjury29:00

McCaffrey mispracticed with calf tightness (Achilles tendonitis), but Kyle Shanahan indicated he'll be ready for week one and would play if a game were tomorrow. The source notes this is a recurring issue (he'll mispractice every week) but not a major concern for availability.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveSleeper23:35

Cyrus Allen is mentioned as a potential breakout candidate from the receiver group, not necessarily because of elite talent but because of opportunity and potential touchdown upside in a system where target volume and speed are the common threads among successful late-round receiver breakouts.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

NegativeValue60:30

Kincaid is going around pick 130 and is a good second tight end to target in late rounds if you take two TEs. However, his week one matchup against Houston is a concern.

Insight page

David Njoku

PositiveProjection40:19

Njoku (referred to as Fannin in the transcript, but context suggests this is David Njoku or a tight end in Cleveland) is expected to get very good numbers in Cleveland's offense, which is projected to be in close games or trailing, driving up target volume for all pass catchers.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeUsage30:06

49ers using Debo Samuel at running back position due to injuries to Jordan James, Kalen Black, and Isaac Garendo; team worked out Zamir White and Naheem Hines as potential backfield additions.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeSleeper31:22

Mentioned as a sleeper candidate from ESPN training camp reporting by Solak and Fowler.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper40:48

Boston is a pretty good bet to get north of six targets per game and could end with more touchdowns than Concepcion. The speaker likes what they've been reading about Boston and believes there's room for him to get very good numbers, particularly in Cleveland's expected close-game or trailing offense that should drive up target volume across the board.

Insight page
PositiveProjection62:21

Boston is in the round 10 range and is preferred over Raiders receivers and other late-round options. The source believes Boston will score the most touchdowns among this receiver group, though possibly by just one (e.g., six for Boston vs. five for Concepcion).

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

NegativeRole68:00

The Raiders don't have a set date for Mendoza's debut, creating uncertainty around his role and availability.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue41:23

Wilson was drafted after pick 100 overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 31 per game, part of the consistent historical trend of elite rookie wide receivers drafted late who significantly outperform their ADP.

Insight page

Greg Dulcich

NegativeValue65:42

Dulcich is discussed as a Dolphins tight end option but is ranked behind Douglas in the source's preference.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeRole45:57

Fannin is positioned as a trustworthy middle-of-field option on third downs and in the red zone for Cleveland, especially if Shudur is the quarterback. However, there is concern about field-space sharing with rookie receivers, particularly if Concepcion plays inside and Boston is on the field alongside Judy (X or Z), which could limit Fannin's opportunities.

Insight page

Hunter Henry

NegativeRole30:27

Patriots signed Hunter Henry to two-year $16 million extension; contract extension signals continued role with team.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeSleeper31:48

Listed as one of Dave's sleeper picks for the draft; previously covered in discussion.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

PositiveInjury26:00

Pacheco has an MCL sprain but is expected to be ready for week one; this injury news is positive for his draft value, as he may be available at a discount in auction leagues.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeUsage6:46

Chargers running back mentioned in context of team using three running backs on a weekly basis with hot-hand approach; Dobbins and Christian McCaffrey both missing practice, raising questions about workload distribution.

Insight page
NegativeInjury27:15

Dobbins left with a soft tissue injury, but Sean Payton said Dobbins will be fine. The injury is not expected to cause extended absence, though the source explores hypothetical backup scenarios if he does miss time.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveRole67:30

Price is impressed Mike McDonald in Seahawks training camp reports, suggesting he could be a factor in the running back rotation.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveBreakout5:52

Coker scored 14 or more PPR fantasy points in four of his last six games including the postseason, with a 28.4-point playoff game; he out-targeted Teterrill McMillan across those six games, signaling a potential role elevation heading into the new season.

Insight page
PositiveRole49:12

Coker missed the beginning of last season then ramped up during his recovery; by the time he was fully healthy, he became a significant piece of the Panthers offense. With Brazel injured and Xavier Leggett banged up again, Coker and McMillan are positioned to receive funneled targets, making him a strong value target for late-round drafting as a fourth receiver or flex option.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper49:13

Coker is identified as a sleeper preference over Jalen Naylor; in the last five games of the prior season including playoffs, Coker averaged over 14 PPR points per game, outperforming Ted Rollins and McMillan who are drafted significantly earlier.

Insight page
PositiveProjection49:24

Over the last five games of last season including playoffs, Coker averaged over 14 PPR points per game, significantly outpacing Ted Roll and McMillan (9.8 PPR per game) despite going much later in drafts; targets were essentially equal (6 per game for Coker vs. 6.2 for Roll and McMillan), suggesting Coker's production was efficiency-driven and sustainable.

Insight page
PositiveValue50:30

At his current draft cost, Coker is easy to target because when given opportunities he has been productive; ideal as a fourth receiver in RB-heavy builds, a flex option in balanced builds, or a fifth receiver in WR-heavy builds who can work into starting lineups week-to-week.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveSleeper9:01

McMillan leads all wide receivers in fantasy points per target since entering the NFL, though he does not have a ton of targets; his elite efficiency per target makes him a potential sleeper despite limited volume.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

NegativeSleeper31:22

Mentioned as a sleeper candidate from ESPN training camp reporting; Trey Tucker was more prominently mentioned than Naylor.

Insight page
NegativeValue51:50

Naylor is one of the Raiders' receiving core options alongside Trey Tucker and Jack Besh, but none of them have a resume worth holding your hat on; the receiving group will likely be a mixed bag throughout the season, making it a volatile situation despite the blank-canvas opportunity.

Insight page
PositiveProjection52:00

Naylor had four games last year with at least five targets, and in two of those games he scored 19.5 PPR points per game despite playing in a miserable offensive environment in Minnesota; the Raiders view him as having more to offer than what he showed in Minnesota, positioning him as a blank-canvas opportunity in a new system.

Insight page

James Conner

PositiveValue64:33

Connor is a last-pick flier with potential trade value. If he gets traded to a better situation, he could be a steal. The source recommends drafting him late just in case, with the caveat that he might end up being a wasted pick if he stays put.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveSleeper0:58

Heath's sleeper pick; Goff has been top 14 per game in fantasy scoring for four straight seasons and top 10 per game in at least one of those seasons, indicating consistent high-end quarterback production that may be undervalued in sleeper discussions.

Insight page
PositiveValue5:06

Goff has been top 14 per game for four straight seasons and top 10 per game for two straight seasons, yet is being drafted as QB 16 in ADP; he has five outdoor games in the first 17 weeks of the season, which is a manageable cold-weather schedule for a quarterback with consistent elite per-game production.

Insight page

Jayden Higgins

PositiveSleeper63:30

Higgins is mentioned as a possible sleeper for Houston after having a great camp. However, the question remains how many receivers CJ Stroud can truly support in the passing game, with the source suggesting the answer is likely just one.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

PositiveSleeper8:38

Since entering the NFL in 2023, Reed is second among wide receivers in fantasy points per target; he also accumulated over 100 rushing yards in each of his first two seasons, providing dual-threat upside as he enters his third year.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper48:56

Reed is listed among Jamie's sleeper picks alongside Jordan Mason, Jalen Coker, and Jalen Naylor, indicating he is a recommended target in drafts.

Insight page
PositiveProjection61:42

Reed has appeared in 23 games with at least five targets, averaging 13.5 PPR points per game in 15 of those games. When he gets opportunities, he produces, making him a value target despite missing significant time.

Insight page

Jaydon Blue

NegativeRole68:55

The Cowboys like second-year running back Blue, but he is not a threat to Javante Williams' workload, suggesting limited opportunity.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue41:12

Waddle was drafted after pick 100 overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 14 per game, part of the historical pattern of elite rookie wide receivers drafted late who significantly outperform their ADP.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

NegativeProjection45:53

Judy is described as the best wide receiver Cleveland has that isn't a rookie, but has disappointed nearly every year except for one or two seasons. He is expected to line up as either the X or Z receiver in a slow-paced, complex offense with multiple moving parts and a weak quarterback situation.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveRole27:47

If Dobbins misses time, Jonah Coleman is likely the rushing downs back, getting the primary rushing role. The Saints drafted Coleman specifically to handle this role, positioning him as the preferred backup to Dobbins.

Insight page
PositiveRole64:03

Coleman is a rookie running back for Denver with handcuff value if J.K. Dobbins misses time. He's loved in double-digit rounds as a speculative pick.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeSleeper31:48

Listed as one of Dave's sleeper picks for the draft.

Insight page

Jordan James

NegativeInjury30:06

49ers running back dealing with rib injury; unavailable, creating backfield opportunity for other players including Debo Samuel who was used at running back.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

PositiveSleeper7:30

Sleeper running back expected to be the running downs guy and starting running back for the Vikings; opportunity for improved production due to better offensive environment with Kyler Murray; at 27 years old with Aaron Jones aging at 32, Mason offers flex-level value with upside to RB2 if Jones misses time (averaged 13+ PPR points per game in five games missed last year); downside is limited pass-catching ability with only 28 career receptions in four seasons, but rushing yards and touchdown upside at current ADP makes him easy to target.

Insight page
PositiveRole11:27

The Vikings are changing their run scheme to more outside zone, which fits Jordan Mason's strength. In each of the last four years when he ran outside zone, Mason averaged at least 4.6 yards per carry, including three years over five yards per carry when running outside zone in San Francisco. He's come to camp looking leaner with great reports.

Insight page
PositiveValue12:42

Jordan Mason is a tremendous fantasy value in round 9–10. He was a starting running back in the first seven games of 2024, on pace for 311 carries, 1,620 rushing yards, seven touchdowns, plus 24 catches for 209 yards. While he may not hit 311 carries, there's a possibility of 270+ carries if Aaron Jones has a reduced role.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper48:56

Mason is listed among Jamie's sleeper picks alongside Jaden Reed, Jalen Coker, and Jalen Naylor, indicating he is a recommended target in drafts.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveSleeper6:08

FFT sleeper with great opportunity; has run 76% or more of routes in stretches across three NFL seasons, only performing well in 2024 with Daniel Jones; prior seasons (2023, 2025) were not productive, but speaker dismisses those as irrelevant given the quarterback change and current opportunity.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper31:00

Sleeper pick; preferred over Alec Pierce for Colts receiving role; Pierce dealing with second PRP injection in ankle, making Downs the better target.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveValue40:45

Jefferson was drafted 125th overall as a rookie and finished as wide receiver 10 per game, exemplifying the historical trend of elite rookie wide receivers drafted after pick 100 who smash their ADP. This historical precedent supports the case for similar-profile rookies like Concepcion in 2026.

Insight page

Kaelon Black

NegativeValue66:00

Black is mentioned as a potential handcuff for the 49ers but is ranked behind Marshawn Lloyd as a handcuff option.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeValue23:06

Mitchell should not be overvalued despite McDaniel's free-agency interest and highlight-reel pass-catching ability; Hampton will play on passing downs and catch the ball on first and second down, limiting Mitchell's role to a complementary pass-catching back.

Insight page
NegativeValue36:52

Keaton Mitchell should not be overvalued despite McDaniel's public interest in him during free agency and highlight-reel pass-catching ability; Year Up United's cautions against inflated expectations for Mitchell's role, noting that McDaniel's multi-back rhetoric is misleading and Hampton will dominate the touch share.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveRole32:31

Run game addition to Kansas City offense; expected to improve offensive efficiency and create defensive adjustments that benefit the passing game and overall offense.

Insight page

Kimani Vidal

NegativeRole36:59

Kamani Vidal is part of the Chargers' multi-back rotation but will receive a limited touch share; conservative estimate suggests Vidal gets approximately 3-4 of 25 total running back touches per game, with Omarian Hampton receiving the majority.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveRole7:30

Vikings quarterback expected to improve offensive environment for running backs like Jordan Mason; his presence is cited as reason for optimism about increased touchdown opportunities for Vikings backs.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveValue41:33

McConkey is cited as one of the recent rookie wide receivers drafted after pick 100 who smashed their ADP and finished top 24 overall or top 24 per game, part of a consistent historical trend.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeInjury26:46

Luther Burden has a groin injury but could be back for week one. His draft position has been adjusted downward from round three to round four due to the injury concern.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

PositiveValue44:34

Makai Lemon is now going after pick 100 in ADP due to injury concerns, but Year Up United's would bank on him more if he is healthy, suggesting he is undervalued at his current draft position relative to his talent.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveSleeper65:24

Washington is the preferred Dolphins receiver pick, especially in PPR formats. He's also mentioned as the clear number two guy for the Raiders in another context.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveSleeper10:03

Sleeper quarterback whose fantasy production will hinge on rushing ability; has looked good throwing the ball according to reports and has been connecting with receivers like Caleb Douglas; receiving corps expected to continue evolving; rushing upside is the key driver of fantasy value.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper48:58

Willis is listed among Jamie's sleeper picks, indicating he is a recommended target in drafts.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper60:42

Willis is positioned as a late-round QB sleeper with huge upside but very questionable floor due to a terrible offensive environment. Comparable to Tyler Shuck as a wait-on-QB strategy alternative to investing in premium QBs like Mahomes, Nix, or Goff.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveValue66:00

Lloyd is preferred over Kalon Black as a handcuff option for two reasons: he's practicing and if something happens to Josh Jacobs, Lloyd will replace him at least to begin the year.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveSleeper61:09

Golden is a late-round receiver option similar to Jalen Naylor but expected to go ahead of him. The source is warming to Green Bay's receiver room overall.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveProjection23:06

If healthy, Hampton is projected to be a top-five fantasy running back; round two is the perfect draft spot for him, with one Year Up United's ranking him as a top-15 pick overall and the eighth-ranked running back, behind Gentry, Cook, Chase Brown, and Ken Walker.

Insight page
PositiveRole25:00

Hampton is a second-year running back who knows his role; unlike his rookie year, he is not competing with a veteran like Mostert but rather with Keaton Mitchell (pass-catching back) and Kamani Baidal (backup), positioning him as the clear lead back in the offense.

Insight page
PositiveRole36:45

Despite Chargers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel's public comments about using a hot-hand approach with multiple running backs (Hampton, Kamani Vidal, and Keaton Mitchell), Hampton is expected to receive the majority of touches; conservative estimate suggests Hampton gets approximately 18 of 25 total running back touches per game, with the other two backs splitting the remaining seven touches.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeValue6:04

Tied in ADP at 12; speaker notes value is too good at that price point.

Insight page
PositiveValue32:38

Late-round sleeper quarterback (round 9-10) with strong value proposition; multi-time NFL MVP available at discount; appears healthy from ACL injury; improved offensive line and Kenneth Walker run game addition should help offense and create defensive adjustments; has produced huge numbers without Tyreek Hill in past seasons.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveValue41:33

Nakua is cited as one of the recent rookie wide receivers drafted after pick 100 who smashed their ADP and finished top 24 overall or top 24 per game, part of a consistent historical trend.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:19

Puka Nakua is cited as a historical example of a late-round or non-early-second-round receiver who emerged successfully. The analysis identifies target volume and speed as the two common threads among successful receiver breakouts, though speed may not apply as directly to Nakua.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

PositiveSleeper31:22

Identified as a sleeper pick from ESPN training camp reporting by Solak and Fowler; mentioned as a particularly liked sleeper suggestion.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper61:54

Shaheed is liked as a late-round sleeper and is warming up over Raiders receivers. ESPN training camp reports indicate he could be a major factor in Seattle's offense under Mike McDonald.

Insight page

Ray Davis

PositiveValue67:30

Davis is a late-round pick with handcuff value to James Cook. If Cook gets injured, Davis could be a stud. The source recommends getting Davis if you draft Cook.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeBust27:47

Harvey's explosive play rate (carries of 12+ yards) was 2.7% last year, second-lowest among 49 running backs with 100+ carries and the worst explosive play rate for any rookie running back in the last 12 seasons. While he averaged 15.5 PPR points per game in weeks 12-17 after Dobbins' injury due to goal-line touches and touchdown opportunities, his poor rushing performance and lack of those same opportunities in 2026 make him difficult to trust. If Dobbins misses time, Jonah Coleman likely gets the rushing downs, limiting Harvey's upside.

Insight page

Tank Dell

NegativeProjection4:35

Tank Dell is cited as a historical example of a late-round or non-early-second-round receiver who emerged successfully. The analysis identifies target volume and speed as the two common threads among successful receiver breakouts like Dell, along with opportunity created by injuries to other receivers.

Insight page
PositiveValue41:33

Dell is cited as one of the recent rookie wide receivers drafted after pick 100 who smashed their ADP and finished top 24 overall or top 24 per game, part of a consistent historical trend.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper62:51

Dell is the only late-round sleeper on this list (besides James Connor) who has been awesome for a full season. He's behind Raiders and Browns receivers for now but could see that change if he continues to practice well. However, his upside is limited by CJ Stroud's passing volume and the presence of Nico Collins.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveValue9:16

Kelce was top five tight end with Patrick Mahomes in 2025 and is tied at TE 12 in ADP, making him a strong value sleeper given his elite production and the durability of his partnership with Mahomes.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

PositiveSleeper31:22

Sleeper candidate from ESPN training camp reporting; received more prominent mention than Jalen Naylor in training camp coverage.

Insight page
NegativeProjection52:21

Tucker performed well in weeks two through six after Brock Bowers suffered a knee injury in week one, but when Bowers returned to more involvement and Jacoby Myers was added, the offense fell into disarray and quarterback play deteriorated; Tucker did not take advantage of the opportunity, suggesting uncertainty about his ability to capitalize on target share.

Insight page
NegativeValue52:21

Despite ESPN noting that the Raiders believe Tucker is the player who can take the biggest step forward this season, the speaker took both Tucker and Naylor as two of his last four picks in a recent flex draft, indicating both are viewed as late-round speculative targets rather than high-conviction plays.

Insight page

Trey Benson

NegativeBust66:45

Benson had a brief one-game run when James Connor got hurt, then got injured himself and missed the rest of the season. Despite being a third-favorite RB in his draft class behind Jonathan Brooks, he has done nothing so far and is part of what the source calls a really bad class.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveProjection40:38

Warren benefits from Alec Pierce's injury; the longer Pierce is out, the better it is for both Warren and Isaiah Downs in terms of target volume and opportunity.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

PositiveRole61:30

Tracy is expected to be the 1B running back in the Giants offense, making him worth using a bench spot on. He's absolutely worth targeting as a handcuff or secondary back.

Insight page

Zachariah Branch

PositiveSleeper44:44

Zachariah Branch is mentioned as a potential breakout candidate from the receiver group, not necessarily because of elite talent but because of opportunity and potential target volume upside in a system where target volume and speed are the common threads among successful late-round receiver breakouts.

Insight page

Zamir White

NegativeRole30:06

49ers worked out Zamir White as potential backfield addition due to injuries to Jordan James, Kalen Black, and Isaac Garendo.

1:38Big week for you here on Fantasy Football Today.

1:43And it's Sleepers Breakouts and Bus Week. Tomorrow, Wednesday, we have four Breakouts episodes.
1:48And we have three awesome guests joining us. Jake Seeley, Chris Harris, JJ Zachariasen.
1:52Although I think I might be pronouncing that wrong.
1:55It might be Jackarisen. Zacharisen. We've got to ask him.
1:58Jackarisen? Not that. It's definitely not Jackarisen. Did he recently move to New Orleans?
2:02ZZ Jackarisen. He tweeted about it. Did he recently move to New Orleans?
2:06Yeah, exactly. Exactly. That's, you know, kind of a joke that is, yes.
2:10But today is Sleepers Day. So these are picks, basically after pick 100.
2:14We'll use CBS ADP today. Here are some fun facts about Dave, Jamie, and Heath's sleepers.
2:19Heath not on the show today, but still we'll talk about a couple of his sleepers.
2:24Fun fact number one. Four of Jamie's sleepers that he gave, these aren't all of his sleepers, but I asked them to
2:31give me a list of about six or seven.
2:33Four of Jamie's six sleepers start with the letter J.
2:36But one of them, that's pretty narcissistic if you ask me.
2:40But one of them is not Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt.
2:43That is Dave's sleeper. Washington has produced 18 and 15 running back rushing touchdowns in the last two seasons.
2:48Fifth most in the NFL. However, they've been 26 and 32nd in running back targets the last two seasons.
2:54Okay. Next fact. Four of Jamey's six sleepers start with the letter J.
2:58But one of them is not Jared Goff. That's one of Heath's sleepers.
3:02Now, by the way, I think Jamie probably agrees on the other ones.
3:06But Heath's list has Jared Goff on it. He has been top 14 per game, four straight seasons, top 10 per game, two straight seasons.
3:14And yet he's quarterback 16 in ADP. And he has one cold weather game.
3:18How about that, Dave? How many outdoor games does he have?
3:21How many outdoor games does Jared Goff have? Great question.
3:24Do you know? Do you know the answer? Why are you cheating?
3:28Oh, I'm looking it up. I don't know. Yeah, why?
3:31I don't know. What's the answer? Do you know?
3:34I do. At Buffalo, at Carolina, at Miami. I got four.
3:37Yeah. And at Chicago. There will be five. No, because Green Bay.
3:41You're not counting week 18. Yeah. Green Bay is week 18.
3:44There will be five in the first 17 weeks of the season.
3:48Was Arizona outdoors? No. Game in Munich. Oh. Oh, come on, Jamie.
3:52Doesn't even count. Four of Jamey's six sleepers start with the letter J, and one of them is Jalen Coker, who scored
3:5814 or more PPR fantasy points in four of his last six games, including the postseason.
4:03He scored 28.4 in the playoff game. He out-targeted Teterill McMillan in those six games, Jalen Coker.
4:09Dave, one of your sleepers is Bo Nix. He's been top 13 per game in both of his seasons, and yet he's QB 17 in ADP.
4:16Make sense of it, Dave Richard. I think people see a lot of other quarterbacks that have more upside and appeal than
4:23Bo Nix, but they're kind of forgetting about the appeal that Nix has in that he's still a running quarterback.
4:29I don't think that the fracture that he suffered in the playoffs last year is going to slow him down.
4:35He's got an improved receiving core. Not only did they bring in Jalen Waddell, but Pat Bryant has started making some waves.
4:42There are huge question marks about the run game.
4:45Yes, they're going to have somebody available to run the football for them in every game, because they restock their running back
4:52room, but it's not necessarily a great running back room.
4:55I think a lot of this will fall on Bo Nix.
4:58Hopefully, he takes a step forward in terms of efficiency, and he's one of several quarterbacks that you can draft late and get good value from.
5:06Do you target Bo Nix, or do you just say, all right, quarterback didn't work out the way I planned?
5:12Let's go to Bo Nix. That's the latter. Yeah.
5:15Which is okay. Of course it's okay. And good.
5:18Yeah. Let's see. Great. More sleepers here. Jaden Reed is one of the J's for Jamie.
5:23Since entering the NFL in 2023, Jaden Reed is second among wide receivers in fantasy points per target.
5:28That does not even include his rushing totals, which over 100 yards in each of his first two seasons.
5:34Not a lot last year, though. By the way, can you name the wide receiver who he's going into his third year now?
5:41Leads the NFL. Leads all wide receivers in fantasy points per target.
5:45Doesn't have a ton of targets. And his name also begins with J.
5:49And he was briefly a sleeper for me. That's cool.
5:52I'll still call him. It's Jalen McMillan. But not really a lot of targets.
5:56Travis Kelsey is one of Heath's sleepers, at least according to his first sleepers article.
6:01And he was top five tight end with Patrick Mahomes in 2025.
6:04He's tied in 12 and ADP. You guys agree, Kelsey, a sleeper?
6:08Of course. Yeah. Value is too good. And then Josh Downs.
6:11I don't know if he's one of the guys Dave submitted on his list today.
6:16But I don't know if he's just, you know, our sleepers, like the FFT sleeper.
6:20We love Josh Downs. The fun fact I have on him is actually a little discouraging.
6:25Because he's had stretches of all three of his NFL seasons where he's played, or he's run 78 per 76% or more of the routes.
6:33And he's only been good in 2024. He wasn't good in 2025 or 2023.
6:37But he didn't have Daniel Jones in those games in 2025.
6:41I think it's pretty irrelevant. We like Josh Downs.
6:43He has a great opportunity. And by the way, Alec Pierce, turns out he has a second PRP injection on his injured ankle.
6:50All right. Let me get two sleepers that you love.
6:54We'll do a couple of sleepers here. We did a few there, but we'll get more in depth on them.
7:00Let me get a couple that you love. We'll also talk about the news and notes because you're going, what?
7:06Chargers, three running backs every week, right? The hot hand.
7:09What's that all about? J.K. Dobbins. J.K. Dobbins and Christian McCaffrey missing practice.
7:13What? That's weird. We'll talk about all that. But, Jamie, give me two sleepers that you love right now.
7:19Two sleepers that I love right now. I'll go with one with the letter J, which would be that you haven't mentioned yet, Jordan Mason.
7:26And the other, which would be Malik Willis. So, Jordan Mason at running back, Malik Willis quarterback.
7:31Do you like me to go in depth? Yes.
7:34Yes. Well, for Mason, it seems like he's going to be the running downs guy for the Vikings.
7:40So, the starting running back, at least based on the reports we're getting out of Minnesota.
7:45And I think there's an opportunity for him to be better just because the offense will be better.
7:50The offensive environment should be better because of Kyler Murray.
7:53So, I think there's an opportunity for more touchdowns.
7:56He's 27. Aaron Jones is going to be 32.
7:59Claiborne, who's also getting some positive reviews. A sixth-round rookie.
8:02I don't know how much he'll cut into Mason and Jones' workload.
8:05But it's something to keep an eye on there.
8:08I just think based on the value that you're getting, plus the opportunity if there is an injury for Aaron Jones, as
8:15we saw last year in the time that Jones missed, I believe it was five games, he averaged over 13 PPR points per game.
8:22So, that would make him a number two running back if that's the case.
8:27You're getting him basically as a flex. In some cases, maybe a number four running back.
8:31So, I just think it's easy to target somebody like this.
8:35Now, the downside is he's got 28 career receptions in four seasons.
8:39So, I don't think he's going to help you in that regard.
8:42But if the offense is better and he's going to be the starter, I think there's just a chance when you look
8:49at him, similar probably to like Dave's going to say about Krosky Merritt, like this isn't going to be a guy that's
8:56going to help you in terms of pass-catching ability.
8:58But touchdowns and rushing yards for the value that you're getting, I think, is very good.
9:03And then for Malik Willis, I think it comes down to how much are you going to buy into his rushing because
9:10that's what's going to really make or break, I think, his fantasy production.
9:14He has looked good throwing the ball according to reports.
9:17I don't know how much of that is in the Miami defense.
9:21But he has been doing a good job finding Caleb Douglas.
9:24Sorry. Finding Caleb Douglas, finding the guys that are at least performing for him right now.
9:29Hopefully, this receiving core continues to evolve and grow.
9:32But if you take his games where he played at least 64% of the snaps, he rushed for at least 40 yards
9:38per game on average in those games. And only eight quarterbacks in NFL history have averaged more than 40 yards rushing per game.
9:46So I think that's an opportunity for him to be successful in that regard.
9:50He could lead the position in rushing yards. I don't think that's a stretch.
9:54You know, he's probably going to compete with Jaden Daniels and Lamar Jackson in that category.
9:59But again, the value for what he can give you, they may not win many games.
10:04He's probably going to turn the ball over quite a bit.
10:07He may not have a lot of passing touchdowns.
10:10But I think when you look at the total numbers, especially the rushing numbers, put him in the top 12 category if things go right.
10:18Adam, what was the question you asked me about Bo Nix?
10:21Why are people... Why is he going later than...
10:24No, is he the type of quarterback that you're targeting late or that you're settling for late?
10:29Yeah. Right? That's kind of the genesis of your question.
10:32With Bo Nix, he's the kind of quarterback that I want to settle for if I'm waiting on QB and I want to draft two of them.
10:40Willis, I'm fine doing that with. But he's also one that is so intriguing because of that rushing upside and because I
10:47don't think he's a zero as a passer. Jamie's right.
10:50He's not going to throw a ton of touchdowns.
10:53He'll turn the ball over a little bit. I love the film of him throwing last year.
10:58And I could see a world where he actually keeps the Dolphins in a bunch of these games and is an awesome fantasy quarterback.
11:05I'm gravitating toward taking him as my second quarterback when I've got a stud quarterback or even when I've got just like
11:12a solid starter that I feel good about from the Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes type tier.
11:17And I still get Willis late just in case he starts the year as a better version of what Justin Fields has
11:24been when he's had opportunities the past couple of years.
11:27And the other point that I want to make about Jordan Mason, I think this is what's going to make people feel
11:34even better about taking Jordan Mason as a sleeper.
11:36The Vikings are changing their run scheme. They want to do more outside zone.
11:41In each of the last four years when he's run outside zone, Jordan Mason has averaged at least 4.6 yards per carry, including three years.
11:48And this is all in San Francisco. Three years over five yards per carry when he's run outside zone.
11:54So they're fitting their offensive run game to his strength.
11:57And he's come to camp looking a little bit leaner.
12:00And the reports have been great. Jamie talked about that.
12:03I think that there's a real bull case to be made for Jordan Mason as a tremendous fantasy value.
12:09Yeah, for sure. Round nine, round 10 for Jordan Mason.
12:12And he's been a starting running back before. First seven games of 2024.
12:162024, he was on pace for 311 carries, 1,620 yards and seven touchdowns rushing, plus 24 catches for 209 yards.
12:22You know, I don't think he's going to be on pace for 311 carries, but you never know.
12:28It could be maybe like 270 to it. That'd be a lot.
12:31That'd be like Aaron Jones basically having no role.
12:34But there's a possibility of that just in terms of carries.
12:38So Mason, yeah. And then, Dave, I'll throw it to you for the two sleepers you want to talk about.
12:44But if you wouldn't mind making one of them Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt, because I'd like to compare the two.
12:49Who do you guys like better? Jamie, I could just let you go, Jamie, real quick.
12:54Who do you like better, Mason or Bill? Right now it's Bill, but it's a lot of speculation because Ben Standing, who
13:01does a great job covering the team, said that he's been flashing as a pass catcher.
13:06If that's going to be a part of his game, then that's going to help him significantly hold off Rashad White.
13:12If he's not going to be involved in the passing game, then I think we have a problem.
13:18So he doesn't have to become Kenneth Gainwell, for example.
13:21He doesn't have to be a 50-catch guy, a 40-catch guy.
13:24But I think if he can get to 30 catches and keep him on the field.
13:29So that happened late last week or over the weekend, that report came out.
13:34And then there was video yesterday of him just really getting abused in some pass protection drills.
13:39So you asked me this Sunday night about the Laramie Tunsil injury.
13:42This could really impact Bill because if they don't have their blindside protector and they don't have somebody that can keep players
13:49off of Jayden Daniels, we're not going to see a lot of Ja'Cory Krosky and Merritt in obvious passing out situations.
13:56I definitely have Merritt ranked too high. Like I've got him in the round seven range.
14:01I don't think he belongs there. And I've got Jordan Mason in like the round nine, ten range.
14:06And I don't think he belongs there. So that gap is definitely going to shrink.
14:11But I do have Bill a little significantly for now out of Jordan Mason, but it should be much smaller.
14:17What I love about Krosky Merritt is just the opportunity to do a little bit more on the offense.
14:23And Jamie just talked about it. This is something that the commanders have been working on with him since last season ended.
14:29They really want him to be, I can't say the feature back, but the 1A and Rashad White to be the 1B.
14:36And we know that just because you play on passing downs doesn't mean, or if you don't play on passing downs, because
14:43Krosky Merritt probably will not play on passing downs, that doesn't mean you're going to be a zero in the passing game.
14:49You can still get catches on first and second down.
14:53And if he proves to the coaching staff over the next several weeks that he can do that, they're going to use him as such.
15:00It's not going to be to the point of 50 catches or anything like that, but it could be in that 30
15:07catch range, just like Jamie talked about. And I'm not certain that he's going to be their goal line guy.
15:13White could also fill that role. So I'm a little bit nervous, but at that ADP to get a running back, that's going to at least start.
15:21And he appears to be improving in two thirds of his talent.
15:25I don't think his pass protection is going to improve.
15:28Then yes, I think that's somebody that we can look at with a mid to late round pick is a potential starter for your fantasy squad.
15:36Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt going 104th and CBS sports ADP Jordan Mason going 109th.
15:40Remember all of these guys have ADPs 100 or later, except for is on CBS, except for Isaiah likely who we'll talk
15:47about later, who is going 99th on CBS, but we'll let you keep them Dave.
15:51All right. Give me one more guy that you'd like as a sleeper.
15:55Let's just go right to likely. And this is broken record time for me because I've been talking about him for months now.
16:02And there there's been no slowing of the drum beat for him as a primary target for Jackson dart.
16:08In fact, while Malik neighbors is still working his way into game shape, it's been likely that's been the best pass catcher in Giants camp thus far.
16:16And there's been some some hiccups with the offense and hopefully that gets worked out.
16:21But I'm encouraged by his opportunity to be the second best pass catcher in this offense.
16:26And I've said this before. Sorry for repeating nine career games where he's had at least six targets, 12 and a half
16:33PPR points in eight of the nine games. And that's really good for a tight end.
16:38It's especially good for a tight end that you're going to draft around 100th overall.
16:42Okay. Yeah. Likely or Kelsey? Who do you like better?
16:45Likely. Jamie. Okay. Likely or Kittle? Likely. It's likely for now, but it looks like George Kittle could easily leapfrog him if
16:52he continues to look good and practice and get off that pup list and be ready for week one.
16:58Yeah. I would take likely over Fannin at this point.
17:01Oh, my goodness. Yeah. I'm not there. I'm likely over pits and that's close, but I've got Fannin ahead of likely.
17:07Okay. So a few things real quick here. The FFT open, obviously spots still available there.
17:12And if you've already signed up for a league and that league has filled, I think we're going to send out the invites this week.
17:20And also if you go to tinyurl.com slash FFT donate 2026 and you click on the auction house section, this is exciting stuff.
17:27This is where you can bid on spots for the podcast league, for the super flex podcast league, which was what we
17:34call the leftovers league that Heath and I are in.
17:37Heath and I share a team and then we play against nine other competitors.
17:41So that's a 10 team super flex league. The podcast league is a 14 team league that's been going on for like 16 years or something like that.
17:49Let's see what else. Oh, we have this new eliminator league.
17:53The rules are there. I think it's the top half stay on and the bottom six are out, but you could in
18:00theory stay in this league for several years and then we'll put the other spots up.
18:04This is for, you know, St. Jude auction next year, but this is a brand new eliminator league that at least some of us are in.
18:12I know I'm in it. Jamie's in it. Dave, are you in this one?
18:17I don't believe I am. Okay. Some of us are in it.
18:20I might be. I don't even remember. You can see the details on the draft-a-thon website, tinyurl.com slash FFTdonate2026.

21:06Get started today. This summer, my wife and I took my parents, our son, and our granddaughter on a trip to Montana.
21:13Coming from South Florida, it was such a change of pace.
21:16We spent our days exploring Glacier National Park, taking in the incredible mountain views, spotting wildlife, and doing some easy hikes to waterfalls and scenic overlooks.
21:24It was amazing being surrounded by mountains and cooler weather, something we just don't get at home.
21:30We also checked out some local restaurants, tried a few Montana favorites like Huckleberry desserts, and really enjoyed slowing down and spending quality time together.
21:37But while we were off exploring somewhere new, our home was just sitting empty.
21:41That's when I realized while we're away, we could list our space on Airbnb.
21:46It feels like a smart and practical way to bring in some extra cash, especially when there is a high demand in
21:52our area for things like concerts, games, or festivals.
21:55It turns an empty house into an easy opportunity while you enjoy your own time off.
22:00It can even help offset some of the cost of your next trip.
22:04Your home might be worth more than you think.
22:07Find out how much at airbnb.com slash host. We are back.
22:10So let's get to the news and notes. And people are buzzing about what Chargers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel said.
22:16He's going to ride the hot hand at running back.
22:19He's going to use Omarian Hampton, Kamani Vidal, and Keaton Mitchell probably every game and kind of play the hot hand once you're into games.
22:27Jamie, what do you make of that? What's your job?
22:30Fooled you? Don't fall for that, please. Yeah. It's just bad.
22:34It's just McDaniel, baby McDaniel. Last year, he said about the Dolphins that they were going to use four running backs.
22:40You know, so this is just one of those things where he is.
22:44I mean, listen, they're going to use other guys.
22:47To what extent he uses Keaton Mitchell and Kamani Vidal remains to be seen.
22:51But Omarian Hampton is going to get the majority of touches there.
22:55So if there's, let's say, 25 running back touches for the game, if you want to be conservative with it, I'm going
23:01to guess it's probably 18 for Hampton and then seven for the other two.
23:06So I wouldn't expect too much. It's a reason not to overvalue Keaton Mitchell because I think a lot of people are
23:12excited that he could be because of the McDaniel posting wanted signs for Mitchell during free agency.
23:18And you've seen a couple of highlights of him catching the ball, that he can maybe be the pass catching back there.
23:24I think Hampton is going to certainly play on passing downs and catch the ball on first and second down.
23:30And then Vidal clearly did a good job replacing Hampton last year, at least at times.
23:35They're not in the same weight class. If Omarian Hampton's healthy, he's going to be a stud and challenged to be a top five fantasy running back.
23:44So I think round two is the perfect spot for him.
23:47You agree, Dave? Yeah. 100%. Well, wait. Yeah, clearly round two.
23:50But I mean, how early in round two? I've got him as a top 15 pick.
23:55Yeah, he's right in that range. He is behind, I'm trying to think what number we're running back.
24:01I think he's running back eight for me. But yeah, top 15.
24:04I mean, you've got him behind Taylor and McCaffrey, I assume.
24:08Yeah, I have him behind Gentry. I have him behind Cook.
24:11I have him behind Chase Brown. I have him behind Ken Walker.
24:15That's it. Okay. And I've got a Chan ahead of him.
24:18I've got Gentry one spot behind him. If I believed even a little bit of what Mike McDaniel was saying, I would
24:25make that switch in a heartbeat, obviously. But I don't believe it.
24:29He once told me, and I think it was before last season, that he liked having a bunch of running backs in
24:35his running back room that he could trust and that it really makes sense to have so many that he can put
24:42out in the field and just utilize them all.
24:45And then we all saw what happened last year.
24:48A-Chan dominated. And so I'm expecting that to be the exact same thing.
24:52He talks a lot. But he has a history of splitting.
24:55He split with Mostert and Wilson when they acquired Wilson in a mid-season trade.
24:59He split Mostert and A-Chan. It's not like it's never happened before.
25:03That's fine. But those, I would say that in the Mostert-A-Chan example, that was A-Chan's rookie year, was it not?
25:09Yep. Yeah. So that makes sense to not put too much on one guy in his first season, especially when you've got
25:16a solid veteran in Mostert who knows exactly what he's supposed to be doing.
25:20This isn't that. Okay. This is a second year running back in Hampton.
25:24He's been out there. He knows what he's doing.
25:27And the other two back, it's not like he's got a vet.
25:30He doesn't have a Mostert on his depth chart.
25:33He's got Keaton Mitchell, who's a great airback. And he's got Kamani Baidal, who proved last year that he's a good backup running back.
25:41Okay. All right. Good. I'm glad to hear you say that because I want to believe in Omari and Hampton.
25:47And I want to believe in Jameer Gibbs. And I'd like to believe in Isaiah Pacheco.
25:52But that's getting harder. But Detroit center Cade May is free agent signing that they were going to plug in at center.
25:58He's going to miss eight to 10 weeks, according to Ian Rapoport, with a fractured wrist.
26:03And Isaiah Pacheco has an MCL sprain, but is expected to be ready for week one.
26:08So forget about that. You might be able to get him for free now in the auction leagues.
26:14This is great news for me. You're right. But with the Cade May's injury, the center out eight to 10 weeks, which,
26:20you know, might be a little bit more than a month of the season.
26:25Does that change anything for Jameer Gibbs, Dave? I'm still taking him at the one-on-one.
26:29It's still a great situation where he's a talented running back.
26:33They want to get him a lot of work.
26:35There's a pathway for him to be the offensive player of the year.
26:39And so I don't want to give up on that just because the center is going to miss a portion of the season.
26:46Luther Burden could be back for week one. He has the groin injury.
26:50Is he still around four pick or should Luther Burden be around five pick, guys?
26:55Round four. I moved him down. J.K. Dobbins left with a soft tissue injury.
26:59Sean Payton said that Dobbins will be fine. But, Jamie, let's play a hypothetical here and say Dobbins misses time at some point in the season.
27:07I know. Crazy. But if that does happen, you know, that's when R.J.
27:11Harvey became not an every down back, but he got two-thirds of the running back carries.
27:16He got enough. He got a decent amount of catches, and he was solid.
27:20What do you think happens this year, though, if Dobbins misses time?
27:24And by the way, when I say Harvey was solid, he was solid for fantasy.
27:29He really struggled as a rusher. What do you think happens this year, Jamie, if Dobbins misses time?
27:34I think Jonah Coleman is probably the rushing downs back, and R.J.
27:38Harvey gets a little bit more work in that regard.
27:41I don't think we see R.J. Harvey as a primary ball carrier unless both guys are injured or Coleman really just struggles if given an opportunity.
27:49Like you said, Harvey did not perform well as a rusher last year from week 11 on.
27:54Week 10 was when Dobbins suffered the foot injury.
27:57He was amazing for fantasy because he scored touchdowns, and he was getting a lot of work overall, averaging over 15.5 PPR
28:03points per game once Dobbins was injured. I think it was like week 12 until week 17 because week 11 was not great for him.
28:11So I still think Harvey benefits the most if Dobbins is out, but I don't think we get that type of performance
28:18because we may not get those goal line touches or those touchdown opportunities just across the board.
28:23So it's just tough to trust Harvey. You know, he was so good for fantasy managers in the fantasy playoffs because of those chances.
28:30I just don't think that's the same. I think that's why they drafted Jonah Coleman.
28:35R.J. Harvey, so his explosive play rate, carries of 12 or more yards, was 2.7% last year, which was second lowest among
28:4249 running backs with 100 or more carries ahead of only Chuba Hubbard.
28:46But it is the worst explosive play rate for any rookie running back in the last 12 seasons.
28:51And the only running back who was really bad at that in the last 12 seasons and ended up being good was Christian McCaffrey.
28:59McCaffrey was at 3.4% and Harvey was at 2.7%.
29:01All of this is to say he had a really bad year as a rusher.
29:06McCaffrey, meanwhile, mispracticed with tightness. I don't think anyone's worried about that.
29:10He's going to mispractice every week this year. This was 2024.
29:13That was tightness. Oh, yeah, he'll be ready for week one.
29:16If we had a game tomorrow, well, he'll be playing.
29:19Kyle Shanahan said that. Yeah, but that was Achilles tendonitis, wasn't it?
29:23It was tightness in his calf. Oh, okay. I thought it was Achilles tendonitis for him.
29:28Could be wrong. That's what it ended up being.
29:31I don't know if that's what they called it in 24.
29:34At the start. Look, it's just – it's troubling.
29:37You don't want to see this. You don't want to see what he is and what he's capable of doing and dealing
29:44with injuries because every time he's had 400-plus touches, he's been hurt the following year.
29:48So let's not go down this path again. Let's see him play.
29:52Let's see him be the guy he's capable of being.
29:55But this is why we're saying we're concerned because 30 years old now, coming off 450 touches, the most he's ever had, and here we go.
30:03Okay. If this is a one-day thing or even a three-day thing, I'm not worried.
30:07But if it lingers, it's pretty obvious if it lingers what you do.
30:11That's his draft stock if he's out a week with tightness.
30:15What are they covering for? What is the tightness?
30:18You saw what they did, right, yesterday? What do you mean what they did?
30:22Did they move away from the electrical substation? Because that's what I want to see.
30:26No Jordan James right now dealing with the rib injury.
30:29No Kalen Black, who's still banged up. No Isaac Garendo, who's still dealing with the pectoral injury.
30:35Debo Samuel was playing running back for them, and they worked out Zamir White and Naheem Hines.
30:40This team could be very, very bad right now.
30:43It's crazy. The Patriots signed Hunter Henry to a two-year $60 million extension.
30:47$16 million, not $60. Dallas signed defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to a three-year $106 million extension.
30:52Signs now through 2030. Running backs averaged 4.4 yards per carry against the Cowboys in games that Williams played.
30:574.8 yards per carry in games he did not play.
31:00And I mentioned earlier, Alec Pierce had a second PRP injection in his ankle.
31:05So, Josh Downs or Alec Pierce? Oh, Downs. It's got to be Downs.
31:09Okay. There was a good story on ESPN. Two of their riders, Solak and Fowler, they went to a bunch of different
31:15training camps, and they had a lot of reporting from there.
31:19But you know what? This is a sleeper show.
31:22So, let's do some more sleepers. And I'll finish up with the...
31:25There's a sleeper in those notes that I particularly like and even suggested.
31:29Who's that? Rashid Shaheed. Rashid Shaheed was mentioned. Adonai Mitchell was mentioned.
31:33Jalen Naylor. And Trey Tucker was really more mentioned than Jalen Naylor.
31:36Dontavian Wicks was mentioned. Denzel Boston was mentioned. So, I'll go over that in a little bit.
31:42All right, Dave. Your sleepers that you provided, these are not your full list of sleepers, but Patrick Mahomes, Jonathan Brooks, Josh
31:48Downs, Isaiah Likely, Bo Nix, Jacory Krosky-Meritt, and Casey Concepcion.
31:51So, I think we've covered Likely and Nix and Jacory Krosky-Meritt.
31:55Fair? Yeah. Okay. Let me ask you about Mahomes.
31:58Same question I asked you about Bo Nix. Is this a guy you target as a late-round sleeper or, you know, round nine-ish?
32:05Yes. Okay. Yep. Go ahead. And obviously, my philosophy on drafting a quarterback this year is you've got to feel like you're stealing one.
32:12And I don't know if there's a better feeling of stealing a quarterback than getting a former multi-time NFL MVP with a pick in round nine or ten.
32:21And I'm impressed that he seems to be fine from the ACL injury.
32:25I like the offensive line. I love what the run game addition of Kenneth Walker, what that means for the offense and
32:31what it should mean for how defenses adjust to taking on Kansas City.
32:35I know that he doesn't have a Tyreek Hill in his offense anymore, but he's put up huge numbers before without Tyreek Hill in his offense.
32:43And he did it last year for crying out loud before he got hurt.
32:48He had 28.1 PPR, 28.1 fantasy points and six point in his first six games without Rice.
32:53And that went up to 28.8 in his first eight games.
32:56Week nine on, he stunk. But I think we can all look and see that he's got potential.
33:02Why would you pass up on somebody like this?
33:04I feel a little dirty, dirty. Why did I pronounce the T like that, Adam?
33:09That was weird. What was that? I feel a little dirty, suggesting that Mahomes is a sleeper because he's got so much
33:16potential to finish as a top five guy. But what the hell, man?
33:20If we're getting him in round nine or round ten, let's call it what it is, a tremendous value.
33:25Okay. Would you rather have Jared Goff or Patrick Mahomes?
33:29Mahomey. Goff. Okay. Jonathan Brooks going 105th overall. What do you think that ADP is going to settle as the reports continue to come out on him?
33:37If we get even one preseason highlight of Jonathan Brooks making a play, it's going to move to round seven.
33:43And I think I'd still be okay taking the chance on Jonathan Brooks in round seven if it comes to that.
33:49Because these are all players. The whole point of a sleeper is you're getting a player at one value on draft day,
33:56and he turns out to be better than that.
33:59And the entire operation of a draft is get the best players you can and hope that you get guys that outperform where you draft them.
34:07And from round seven on, my goal every year is to get just one player, one player that is better than where I draft him.
34:14And Brooks can easily be that guy. So if the reports are true and he's looking like his old self in camp
34:21and he's adding muscle, he looks a little bit stronger.
34:24We know that he can be a factor in the passing game.
34:28We know Chuba Hubbard is just okay. And we saw last year, you have to go back and look to remember it.
34:35But when Rico Dowdle came on, the Panthers coaching staff did give Dowdle more work all the way up until the playoff game.
34:42And then Chuba started to get more work than Dowdle did.
34:45So they like Chuba. They want Chuba on the team, but they're willing to put him in a complimentary role.
34:51And so if Brooks is going to be good, he's going to be potentially awesome for fantasy managers.
34:57He can help the Panthers. I don't love their offensive line, really their offensive tackles.
35:01But that's just going to help him get more catches out of the backfield because that's one way that an offense can work around having mediocre tackles.
35:10And so getting him, where do I have him right now?
35:13Like a round eight pick? If it ends up being round seven, I guess I'd be okay with that.
35:19But there's potential for him to finish as a top 20 running back, if not higher, provided that he stays healthy for the whole season.
35:26That is Jonathan Brooks we're talking about. By the way, over the last nine seasons, there have been 16 running backs, almost
35:33two per year, that have been drafted in round seven or later and finished top 12.
35:38So that's pretty cool. Travis, I think Travis A.
35:41Chan was one of those guys last year, although that kind of bothers me because his ADP was so influenced by the Tank Bigsby trade.
35:48But Javante Williams was definitely one. It was just a great discount last year.
35:53So I don't know if we have that guy.
35:55Like Javante Williams was so clearly the best option, I think, for the Cowboys.
36:00Maybe we didn't know it at the time. I don't know if we have that guy.
36:05Maybe it's Mason. You didn't buy Miles Sanders? Come on.
36:08Maybe it's Mason. Maybe it's Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt. Maybe it's Jonathan Brooks.
36:11A running back that's going late that could be a top 20 guy?
36:15Top 12. Top 12? Like Javante and ETN or A-Chan.
36:18I mean, Mason could be maybe Pollard. His ADP is higher than that, isn't it?
36:23Oh, you're saying around 100? No, it was round seven or later was mine.
36:27So round seven is what? Pick 84? 85? I don't think we get...
36:31That's where round seven ends. That's where it ends.
36:34Sorry. So that's... Right. I don't think we get...
36:3673. Quite that high? No, I mean, look, it's always surprising.
36:40I didn't think Javante... I liked Javante Williams last year.
36:43I didn't think he was going to be top 12 running back.
36:47You know, it's hard to predict. But a guy...
36:49He stayed healthy and he scored a lot of touchdowns.
36:52Who could run away with their backfield on a good offense?
36:56Without an injury? Yeah. That's being taken after 73rd overall?
36:59Mm-hmm. Without an injury. Where's Dowdle and Warren? They're in that range.
37:02They're definitely in that range. And Dowdle appears to be the 1A there.
37:06But I think he's going to need Jalen Warren to miss time for him to really run away with it.
37:13I think Brooks is a candidate. I really do.
37:15After what we saw last year when Dowdle ended up being...
37:19In the year before with Hubbard. Yeah. Sure. That's a great call.
37:22So I think Brooks can be that guy. I'm nervous to say Travion can be that guy.
37:28Especially since the training camp reports haven't been so good for him.
37:31Well, Travion's a round 5 pick. Yeah. Which is ridiculous.
37:34But if he falls to round 7... I don't know.
37:37I don't even know if I can even say it.
37:40It could be Tootin if he falls after the latest report.
37:44Sure. Yeah. Could be Tootin. Why couldn't it be Chris Rodriguez?
37:47It'd be pretty hard to see him just taking over that backfield without an injury.
37:52That's, I think, the difference between a Bejal Tootin.
37:55Because right now... Sorry, this is a little bit of a detour.
37:58There may not be that much of a difference between Bejal Tootin and a guy like Blake Corum.
38:04I mean, their roles are seemingly different. But you could see their stats being similar.
38:08But Tootin, I think, and everybody probably thinks, has a chance to just be so much better than Chris Rodriguez.
38:14Where he just gains a bigger role as the season goes on.
38:18It's not going to happen for Blake Corum. Kyron Williams is so good.
38:22But, yeah, I'm really struggling with Tootin because I like him a lot.
38:26But it's possible that he's just a waste. Is he Tony Pollard?
38:30Exactly. Where? He gets you over 1,000 total yards.
38:32He plays a lot every week. He doesn't score a ton of touchdowns.
38:36End of the year, it's 1,000 yards and five touchdowns.
38:40That's Tony Pollard. And, Dave, let me just read...
38:42Or, Jamie, whatever, whoever brought up the Steelers, guys.
38:45Let me just read what the ESPN training camp report was.
38:48It was, quote, I can't get a lean on Jalen Warren and Rico Dowdle, but I'm confident both will be used enough
38:55to be playable in any given week. Dowdle is a more than capable receiving back.
39:00And I think he'll bite into Warren's catches more than most people realize.
39:04Warren is a spectacular tackle breaker. And I think he'll bite into Dowdle's carries more than most people realize.
39:10And this was a fantasy nugget from... I'm not sure which of the reporters was there, but...
39:15Well, is it an ESPNB reporter? That would be Brooker.
39:18No, it was either Jeremy Fowler or Benjamin Solak.
39:21Oh, I see. Sorry, I don't know which one that was.
39:24Because usually Brook's on top of stuff for the Steelers.
39:27All right, Dave, let's finish. There have been non-ESPNB reporters all over Steelers camp that have said that Dowdle looks like the better option at this point.
39:35Interesting. Okay. Yeah, I have Dowdle. You should have Dowdle ahead of Warren in your rankings.
39:40Even in full PPR. Okay. That'll be fun to watch and see how that one turns out.
39:45Yeah, I just think he's going to get more opportunities in the passing game, and I think that matters.
39:51Yeah. Is there anyone else? Oh, yeah. Casey Concepcion and Josh Downs.
39:55Let's talk about them. I want to establish what our expectations are for Josh Downs.
39:59We've come off very high on him. Just how high are we?
40:03Dave, compare him to Casey Concepcion. How do you like those guys?
40:07I think they both have a similar role in each of their respective offenses.
40:11They'll play in the slot quite a bit. They'll work the middle of the field quite a bit.
40:17I think that they're both after-catch receivers. They've got good speed.
40:20They can make guys miss. So they're very similar.
40:23Downs is ranked higher because he's done it before.
40:25We're two years removed from him averaging over 13 PPR points per game on 7.6 targets per game.
40:31I have a little bit of a hard time believing he's going to get that many targets per game, but let's flip those numbers.
40:38If it's 6.7, I can buy into that. It could be 7.6 for however many games Alec Pierce misses, by the way.
40:45So the longer that Pierce is out, the better that it is for both Downs and Tyler Warren.
40:51So in full PPR, it's really easy to believe in Downs.
40:54With Concepcion, there's a pathway for him to get seven targets per game.
40:58I love what I've been reading about him and Denzel Boston.
41:01I especially like the fact that Concepcion took a big hit in practice like maybe seven days ago, and he walked off holding his arm.
41:09It looked like he had a big shoulder injury.
41:12He was right back out there days later doing his thing.
41:15And so I think there's room for Boston to get some good numbers.
41:19I think there's room for Fannin to get some very good numbers.
41:23And I think Concepcion can also get very good numbers, particularly in full PPR, because I think he can get seven targets per game.
41:30And in the case of Cleveland especially, that's an offense that I expect to either be in close games or trailing.
41:36And that should help the target volume just go up for everybody across the board.
41:41I'm going to throw out some names and numbers for you here.
41:45Justin Jefferson as a rookie was drafted 125th overall in fantasy.
41:48It was wide receiver 10 per game. Chase Claypool was drafted 200.
41:52Was he better than Peyton Barber? I forget. Not at first.
41:55Chase Claypool, 236th in ADP, wide receiver 32 per game.
41:58CeeDee Lamb. These are all these guys. I'm not going to say where they all went.
42:03They were all after pick 100. CeeDee Lamb, wide receiver 35 per game.
42:07Brandon Ayuk, wide receiver 19 per game as a rookie.
42:10Jalen Waddell, wide receiver 14 per game. Amon Ross St.
42:13Brown, 26th per game. Garrett Wilson, 31st per game.
42:16Olave, 27th per game. Again, all of these guys.
42:19Rookies being drafted after pick 100. Puka Nakua. Tank Dell.
42:22Brian Thomas Jr. Ladd McConkie. Those guys all smashed their ADP as rookies.
42:26Last year was the first time in five years, or six years I think, that we didn't have at least two rookie
42:32wide receivers picked after pick 100 that finished either top 24 overall or per game.
42:37Will we get back to that this year? I don't really see it, but I think Concepcion is probably the best bet.
42:44I don't know. I would guess so. I don't think there's a rookie wide receiver.
42:48I think he's the best bet, and I think Boston is a pretty good bet to get north of six targets per
42:55game, and I wouldn't be surprised if Boston ended with more touchdowns than Concepcion.
42:59I just don't see like— I agree with that.
43:02My biggest concern is, first and foremost, the quarterback, because I think both guys have looked terrible so far in camp, and
43:09it's one of the worst quarterback battles that maybe we've seen in the last 10 years, just how poorly these guys have performed.
43:16It's going to be a very slow-paced offense. I think there's a lot of moving parts to this offense.
43:22The concern I have is if Concepcion is going to play inside, which I think makes some sense, if they're going to
43:28try and put Boston on the field because I think Judy is going to be either the X or the Z, we
43:35could have a problem of him just sharing the field space with Fannin, which is why I'm a little bit concerned about Fannin.
43:42And so if this was a more capable quarterback, I would be like, oh, wow, this is awesome.
43:48These guys are fantastic. Look how great these guys can be.
43:51If Judy is the fourth, like, let's go. But it just feels icky.
43:55So it's a good call. I mean, where you're getting him, the upside is worth the risk.
44:00Yeah, yeah. But I just like—I do see the potential of what Boston could be because what Watson will still probably do
44:07well is, oh, bleep, chuck it downfield. Like, that says he's not— But that's if Watson's the quarterback.
44:13What if it's Shador? And if it's not Watson, then I think that helps Fannin and maybe helps Concepcion.
44:18But, like, this just feels icky across the board.
44:21You know, so, like, you're saying which rookie receivers can come out of nowhere, right?
44:26Is that basically the concept? Well, so it's picked after pick 100 for 24.
44:30And by the way, Jamie, I have to say, just did an ADP check.
44:34Makai Lemon is now in this range. He is going after pick 100.
44:38Yeah, I mean, that's— Because of the injury. That's one I would probably bank on more if he's healthy.
44:44Yeah. The type of guy I think that you may find is not necessarily because of talent, because I think Concepcion clearly is more talented.
44:52But, like, that could be a Caleb Douglas. That could be a Cyrus Allen.
44:56That could be a Jacoby Lane because of touchdowns.
44:59Like, Zachariah Branch, you know, just because of the target.
45:02He may get it. Yeah, stripling needs to be mentioned here.
45:05Stripling, yeah. Another great one. You know, like, those are the type of guys I think, like— I'd rather, if I'm going
45:12to gamble on that premise, I might gamble on, like, who's got a better quarterback and better system.
45:17Yeah, I get that. Unfortunately, when you look at history of, like, okay, who emerged from this group?
45:23I mean, most of the names we read are first round or early second round picks, but not all of them.
45:29I mean, not Amon Ross St. Brown, not Puka Nakua, not Tank Dell.
45:33I don't know that there's a common thread here.
45:36Some of them really benefited from injuries. There's two common threads.
45:39Number one is target volume. Yeah. And number two is—and I don't know if this really applies to Puka, but speed.
45:46Just think about these guys are very shifty, and they've got speed on their side, and they're getting a ton of targets.
45:53And when that combines with the opportunity, that's the other thing that they all got.
45:57And this plays into other guys being hurt and opening up opportunities.
46:01That matters a ton. And so here we are in Cleveland.
46:04We're talking about the best wide receiver that Cleveland has that isn't a rookie being Jerry Judy, who's disappointed us pretty much
46:11every year save for one, maybe two. And then Harold Fannin, who's a great middle-of-field option, going to be a trustworthy guy
46:18on third downs and in the red zone for Cleveland, especially if Shudur's the quarterback.
46:22Other than that, there's opportunity for both Concepcion and Boston.
46:25Concepcion's the one with speed and shiftiness. Yeah, I know.
46:28It's just—I just struggle because I think they're going to want to— they're going to try to run the ball a lot.
46:35I think that should be the strength of their offense.
46:38And their quarterbacks suck. And between Fannin, Concepcion, and Boston, I don't know that anyone's getting more than like 110 targets.
46:45Probably someone will, but I don't know. No, I'm with you.
46:48I don't think it's more than that. Yeah. I don't know.
46:51It's tough. Concepcion is so talented and so exciting, so I do think he's worth the risk.
46:57But you just, you know, you never know. All right.
47:00We've got to take a break. When we come back, I want you to take a look at this tweet from Heath Cummings.
47:07It just cracks me up. The hate in this man's heart.
47:10What am I talking about? I'm just joking. But we'll tell you after this, and then we'll get to Jamie Sleepers on Fantasy Football today.
47:18Hey, before we jump back into the show, let's take a quick break.
47:22But not just any break. This is a refreshing break with Snapple.
47:25We all know about Snapple's iconic real facts. So let's take a minute to go over some of my faves.
47:31Snapple real fact, one, nine, eight, three. The first player drafted to play pro football never played in the league.
47:38Snapple real fact, one, one, one, nine. The Grand Canyon could hold about 900 trillion footballs.
47:43Snapple real fact, two, zero, six, four. The first college football game broadcast on TV was on September 30th, 1939.
47:49Snapple real fact, one, eight, nine, six. The tradition of playing football on Thanksgiving originated with college football in 1876.
47:55So grab a Snapple, take a second, and enjoy the moment.
47:58Because let's be honest, this might be the most refreshing part of your day.
48:02Snapple, make your break more interesting. All right, now let's get back to the show.
48:07All right, let me show you this. This just cracks me up.
48:11PFF tweets, Patrick Mahomes with 17 has more career playoff wins than Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson combined.
48:17Heath has to dunk on the Chargers. And he says, you could throw Justin Herbert zero playoff wins in there as well.
48:24Heath, you are making me a Chargers fan this year.
48:27I just, I want... Well, he knows what's coming.
48:29He knows that the Chargers are going to be really good.
48:33I don't know if he knows that. I don't know.
48:36Yes, he does. I think he feels like as long as Mahomes is healthy, the Chiefs are going to be the Chiefs
48:42and they're just going to win the division, no problem.
48:46That's what that's... Yeah, it's not really a crazy thought, Adam.
48:49Yeah, and my... Heath always mentions this like bold prediction I made months ago, but it's basically the Chiefs struggle again, offensively,
48:56Andy reads out, and things change after this year.
48:58Wow. Yeah. I just don't really like their personnel.
49:01I like it a lot more with Walker now.
49:04A lot more. Yeah. Good line, good running back, great quarterback.
49:07Jamie, your sleepers. Jordan Mason, Jaden Reed, Jalen Coker, Jalen Naylor.
49:11Those are the J's. Tyler Shuck and Malik Willis.
49:13Thankfully, we've talked about a number of these guys.
49:16Let's talk about Jalen Coker and Jalen Naylor. Which Jalen do you prefer?
49:20Jalen Coker. Okay. What do you expect from Coker and Naylor?
49:24I mean, the two somewhat different profiles, fantasy-wise at least.
49:27You know, for Coker, you mentioned it, the last five games of the season last year, including the playoffs, he averaged over 14 PPR points per game.
49:35Ted Roll and McMillan, who's going significantly earlier than him, and this is not to make the comparison aside from just what
49:42they did at the end of the season, averaged 9.8 PPR points per game over that span.
49:47The targets were essentially equal, 6.2 per game for Ted Roll and McMillan, 6 per game for Coker.
49:52So, I think you're hoping that Coker, who missed the beginning portion of last year, then had a ramp-up period, as we
49:59often see for guys coming off of injury during the year, by the time he was healthy, he was a big piece
50:06of this offense, and I think that carries over to this year.
50:09I think the fact that Brazel is hurt, and the fact that now Xavier Leggett also banged up again, but he's going
50:16to most likely still be the third receiver, you kind of see an opportunity for McMillan and Coker to get funneled targets.
50:23So, don't love that the tackles are not healthy for the Panthers going in, because I think that impacts Bryce Young even more.
50:30But just where the cost is for Jalen Coker, it's easy to gravitate toward him, because when he's gotten chances, he's been productive.
50:37And so, hopefully that's the case once again. So, I don't want to draft him as a starter.
50:42I think if you're running back heavy, this is the perfect guy to make your fourth receiver, you know, somebody that could
50:49be in the flex range for you or your first reserve in a three-receiver league.
50:54If you're receiver heavy, I think you want him as maybe your fifth and a guy that can work into your starting three and maybe flex.
51:02But this is one of those guys that I think at the end of your bench or, you know, part of your
51:08bench can make it tough for you when you look at your starting lineup on a week-to-week basis, because if he is getting opportunities, I think he'll produce.
51:17Okay. And then what about in Las Vegas with Naylor?
51:20Why did you, I don't know if you do it, but why do you, I assume, settle on Naylor over Trey Tucker?
51:27Let me just read what ESPN said about that.
51:30The Raiders think Jalen Naylor has more to offer than what he showed in Minnesota, but Trey Tucker is probably the player
51:36Las Vegas says can take the biggest step forward this season.
51:40So, how do you break down their wide receivers?
51:42Yeah, it's interesting because I believe Albert Breer when he was in Las Vegas was saying that Jalen Naylor was the one option of the receiving core.
51:51So, my guess is just based on how these guys are going to perform and throw Jack Besh in there is that
51:57it's going to be a very mixed bag throughout the season because none of them have a very, none of them have
52:04a resume that's worth, you know, holding your hat on.
52:07For Naylor, he had four games last year with at least five targets and two of them, he had 19.5 PPR points per game.
52:15That was in that miserable offensive environment. Obviously, this is a situation where they're looking at it as a blank canvas because
52:21Tucker did some nice things initially after Brock Bowers had the knee injury week one, so like weeks two through six, I
52:28think it was, he was performing well and then when Bowers started to get more involved, you know, we had the Jacoby
52:35Myers traits that kind of threw everything into a little bit of a disarray and the quarterback play was awful.
52:41I don't think Tucker really took advantage of the situation.
52:44So, it wouldn't surprise me. I mean, I keep referencing the flex draft that I did last week.
52:50I took both of them. There were two of my last four picks, you know, so Jalen Naylor and Trey Tucker, you
52:56know, probably the cheapest friendship strategy you could find.
52:59Maybe the Dolphins guys are up there also if you want to take Caleb Douglas and Malik Washington, but see which one performs well.
53:06See which one's getting targets. See which one has the initial report because it's going to be Kirk Cousins to start the
53:13season that maybe changes when Mendoza takes over, but we keep saying Brock Bowers is going to get fed.
53:19Somebody else is going to be number two, you know, and I think Jalen Naylor has the most upside of the group
53:26based on what they paid him and hopefully money talks here in this case.
53:30So again, not somebody I want to invest heavily in, but when we are talking about late round flyers, it's easy to
53:37gravitate toward one of the Raiders receivers similar to one of the Dolphins receivers because somebody's going to get chances and hopefully produces with them.
53:44Dave, do you have a preference of a Las Vegas wide receiver?
53:48I'd prefer to pass on both, but if I had to pick one, it would be Naylor.
53:53I didn't mind his film. I thought he's got good hands, good balance.
53:57He can win in tight spaces. I thought last year, especially he, he was the byproduct of the scheme that he was
54:04in and the scheme that he's in this year is very similar to the scheme that he's been in his entire career.
54:11So I could very easily see him have a six targets per game and have a bunch of games where he catches
54:17three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown, but he could also have a bunch of games where he catches four passes for 50 yards and no touchdown.
54:26Tucker is being exposed to the scheme. I think the second time in his career and he's just more of like a downfield guy.
54:33I don't know if they're going to change his role all around, but I feel like I can find other players in
54:40the late rounds to carry on my bench ahead of both of these guys because I'm just worried about what the upside really is.
54:47If Bowers is going to get north of seven targets per game, if Gentry is going to get three or four targets
54:54per game, plus they're going to run the ball a lot, it makes me nervous about just how much will be there for Naylor or Tucker.
55:02I think I'm going to let other people draft them.
55:05That being said, if you're in a draft like the flex draft, there's deep benches.
55:10Go ahead and take your shot on either one of them, but Naylor would be the one I would gravitate toward.
55:16Yeah, the thing is, I mean, if you just look at ADP, you probably make a case for so many of the
55:23wide receivers going in this range and we're about to.
55:26It's I guess the question is what are the factors when you're sizing up Jalen Naylor versus Romeo Dobbs and Matthew Golden
55:33and Xavier and Xavier Worthy and Casey Concepcion. What are the factors, Jamie, that makes you lean toward one wide receiver in this late round ADP versus another?
55:41Quarterback and opportunity. You know, so the opportunity for the Raiders guys is amazing.
55:46You know, again, like Bowers, if he gets 140 targets, there's still probably 100 targets for one of these receivers.
55:52So, do you trust Kubiak? Do you trust Cousins?
55:54Do you trust Mendoza? You know, then that starts to compare to Matthew Golden who was a first round talent and, you
56:01know, seemingly going to be on the field a lot and Jordan Love if he throws enough.
56:06You know, that's always been the knock for the Packers guy so I would take a chance on Golden before I take
56:13a chance on Naylor at this point. Now, Dobbs is an interesting one because, you know, he kind of had this Golden
56:20opportunity that got quickly squashed with the A.J. Brown trade and does he kind of just stay in the same spot that
56:27he's been in which is, you know, good quarterback because I think you can make the case if Drake May and Jordan
56:33Love threw the ball the same, we might get some great production out of Jordan Love, we just don't get that.
56:40Does he get to 120 targets where he's kind of just been pegged in that 100 target range?
56:45So, I think there's, that's an even one for me.
56:48If there was more, oh, Jalen Naylor's the guy, I think it would be easy to take him.
56:54Dobbs is going to most likely go first. You know, you look at any ADP, the difference is somewhat startling.
57:00Rankless are a little different, but the ADP tells you most people would take Dobbs.
57:04Who else did you mention? Concepts. Worthy. I mean, Worthy's like a poor man's golden, you know, so similar situation.
57:11First round pick, clearly good quarterback. You know, you hope that he can perform like he did in his rookie campaign.
57:17I think like for Naylor, a better conversation is more the, the rookies that I mentioned, you know, so, and Dave threw
57:24a great one to Stribbling, you know, so Stribbling and Caleb Douglas and Zachary Branch, you know, if you still believe in
57:30Antonio Williams after the dig signing, Jacoby Lane, you know, Cyrus Allen, you know, these guys that are going to have some
57:37chances in most cases they're going to be the number two or the number three guy at best.
57:43I think you're looking at it. That's a good comp because if Naylor is the Raiders receiver you prefer or if Tucker
57:49is the Raiders receiver you prefer, they'll probably get more targets, but the talent is just not the same.
57:55I want to add one other name to this Raiders list and this is one of the problems with Naylor and Trey Tucker.
58:02There's been a lot of buzz in Las Vegas about a rookie named Malik Benson who is a little bit bigger than
58:09Naylor and certainly then he's bigger than Trey Tucker, but he's been making plays and finding time with the starters.
58:15He went to Alabama, then Florida State, and then finished at Oregon and six round pick.
58:20So these cases are rare when they end up being impactful for fantasy.
58:24This is more for people in dynasty leagues. Double check to make sure that Malik Benson is on your waiver wire and
58:31if he is, pick him up because there's an opportunity for him to take a couple of targets away from all the
58:38other wide receivers in Las Vegas and it to me it's just another strike against Naylor or Tucker being ahead of the range that Jamie talked about.
58:46The range that Jamie's talking about with all those other wide receivers to me, that's like round 13 plus and I Naylor's ADP is right around there.
58:54I think that that's fair and if you're looking for a wide receiver that late in your draft, then so be it.
59:01That's usually around the time where I'm trying to find that second tight end that diamond in the rough at running back a second QB.
59:08That's not when I'm looking for another bench wide receiver.
59:11All right, let's finish up one more sleeper for Jamie here.
59:15Malik Willis was one of your sleepers that you talked about earlier, but Tyler Shuck is another one.
59:20Shuck averaged 7.6 yards per attempt in his nine starts last year.
59:24Only 19.3 fantasy points per game because his touchdown rate was pretty low, but it was really impressive.
59:30And what do you like about Tyler Shuck? A couple things.
59:33First off, you know, 20.1 fantasy points per game, six of his final eight games.
59:38His coordinator has a great track record with the quarterbacks that he's worked with and it's a pretty impressive resume when you're
59:44talking about Dak Prescott and one year of Justin Herbert and one year of Jalen Hurts.
59:49All those guys averaged, scored more than 20 fantasy points per game in the years with Kellen Moore.
59:55They averaged 24 points per game during his time as a coordinator there.
59:59So he gets 20 points per game regularly from his quarterback who starts the majority of the time.
60:04They just add a first round rookie in Jordan Tyson.
60:07I think a guy that gets a little bit overlooked, not necessarily what he's going to do on his own, but just another weapon and Oscar Delp.
60:15So another tight end that's going to factor in there.
60:19But Kellen Moore scheme is typically great for quarterbacks.
60:21And then we'll see if he continues to run like we saw at the end of last season.
60:27So that was a fun little wrinkle to Tyler Shuck's game.
60:30So if he can do that, then we're going to add that element and if he can get you maybe 300, 400
60:37yards rushing other projections on Sportsline, if you're watching on YouTube, 327, I think that's fair.
60:42This could be a fun late round quarterback. So very similar to Malik Willis.
60:46You know, I think Dave gave some good names, you know, like, so if you are going to invest in Patrick Mahomes,
60:53which is risky, Bo Nix, which is risky, Jared Goff, and, you know, just maybe the limited ceiling, you know, those type
61:00of guys, if you just wait on the position, I think you got an opportunity here to take a Tyler Shuck, to
61:06take a Malik Willis, guys that have just huge upsides, but very questionable floors because of either lack of a track record
61:13or, you know, in the case of Willis, you know, just maybe a terrible offensive environment, but Shuck was fun last year
61:20and I think he could be a good low-end starter, you know, one of these guys that by the end of the
61:26year we say, oh, I wish I would have taken a chance on him and he could end up being one of
61:33those top 12 guys by the end of the year.
61:36A lot of team name possibilities with Tyler Shuck as well, all Shucks, obviously, but, you know, you get creative with it.
61:43Rapid fire, or let's call this the lightning, lightning round of sleepers.
61:47How likely are you to draft these guys? Dalton Kincaid.
61:50What's the ADP? I mean, these are all pretty late, you know, let's say later than round 10.
61:55If you take two tight ends, he's a good second one to gravitate to.
62:00Agreed. Don't like his matchup against Houston in week one though.
62:03That's a good point. So he better be your second tight end.
62:07Yeah, he's going 130th. Next up is Matthew Golden.
62:09Similar to Jalen Naylor. Good late run fire. I think you'll go ahead of Naylor and I kind of like, I'm starting
62:16to like what I'm hearing out of Green Bay for all their receivers.
62:20Tyrone Tracy Jr. Did I draft Cam Scadaboo? Don't care.
62:23I'll take him anyway. You should want to take him anyway, but if I drafted Scadaboo, I might have to reach a little for Tracy.
62:31It sounds like he's going to be the 1B.
62:34That's exactly what we thought he was going to be.
62:37And he's, he's absolutely worth using a bench spot on.
62:40By the way, you, you briefly mentioned Jaden Reed.
62:42Just one thing that I like is because he's missed a lot of time.
62:4723 games is career with at least five targets, 13 and a half PPR points per game in 15 of those.
62:53So when he gets opportunities, he produces. That's my fault.
62:56Sorry, I skipped him. Rashid Shahid. Love him late.
62:59I would rather have Naylor in that regard, but hopefully Shahid performed much better than he did last year with the Seahawks.
63:06I'm starting to warm up to him over the Raiders guys.
63:09Chris Rodriguez. Yes. He's around 10 pick kind of in that same vein as Tyrone Tracy.
63:14And he's, I mean, I guess not going that much later is going around 11.
63:19But probably being overlooked right now. Chris Rodriguez. Denzel long.
63:22Yeah. Denzel Boston. Thanked out. Also the round 10 range.
63:25I'd rather have Concepcion. I would take Boston over the Raiders receivers would take him over Lemon at this point would take
63:31him over Shahid Dobbs and a bunch of the backup QBs just to take a chance on a perimeter.
63:37I did best earlier with the Concepcion. Like I haven't back to back.
63:41I think Boston is going to score the most touchdowns in this receiver.
63:45But it might be by like one. It might be six touchdowns for Boston and five for Concepcion.
63:51I hope it's not three and two. Tank Dell is the only player on this list of late round sleepers that we're
63:57going to talk about other than James Connor. Tank Dell is the only one who's been awesome at any point for a
64:04full season or a season of awesomeness. Would you rather have Denzel?
64:08Would you rather have Tank Dell or a Raiders or Browns receiver?
64:11The more that Dell continues to practice that issue, he's going to be a pretty significant riser.
64:17Agreed. He's behind both Raiders receivers for now, but you could see that changing.
64:21The problem is opportunities and quarterback. His quarterback, CJ Stroud, we're not huge fans of his.
64:26It's not like he's getting glowing reports. And Nico Collins is there.
64:30Jaden Higgins is another guy who should be mentioned as a possible sleeper.
64:33He's had a great camp for Houston. So how many guys can CJ Stroud truly support in the passing game?
64:40I think the answer is one. I'm hoping it's just one.
64:43Jonah Coleman running back for the Broncos, rookie running back.
64:46We already talked about what Jamie's expectations are if J.K.
64:49Dobbins misses time. James double digit rounds. Love him.
64:52James Connor, if he gets traded, that could be, you know, if you get him, that could be big.
64:58There's there's two players who you're drafting with your last pick just in case they get traded.
65:03Conner's one in case on booty is the other.
65:06And I think there's a better chance for booty to get traded than Connor.
65:10But if you get them both now and see what happens before week one, you'll have a pretty easy decision to make once week one comes around.
65:18You might be cutting Connor and booty. They might be a waste of a pick, but if they end up in better situations, you've got yourself a steal.
65:27Adonai Mitchell's having a nice camp. A lot of talk about him for the Jets.
65:31Malik Washington. Is he the top? Is he the Dolphins receiver you'd pick right now?
65:36No. Yes. Who would you pick, Jamie? Douglas. Greg Dulcich.
65:39Is he the Dolphins tight end you'd pick? Yeah.
65:42Is Dulcich ahead of Douglas for you? No. Douglas ahead of Dulcich.
65:45Okay. I like Washington the best, especially in PPR.
65:48A couple potential handcuffs. Kalon Black and Marshawn Lloyd.
65:51Who's a better pick? Black for the Niners or Lloyd for the Packers?
65:55Lloyd for me over the 49ers, guys. For two reasons.
65:58Number one, he's practicing. And number two, if something happens to Jacobs, which is still within the realm of possibility, this is who's going to replace him.
66:06Yeah. At least to begin the year. Oh, it's so frustrating as I, he has done nothing in his two, two seasons.
66:13He's barely played. He's barely been healthy. And he's on my stinking dynasty team.
66:17And I kind of want to drop him for someone, but I know you can't.
66:22I just, I mean, it could, but you're just helping your opponents.
66:26Yeah. I know. It's just, he was actually my second favorite running back in that class behind Jonathan Brooks and neither of them have done anything, unfortunately.
66:34And then by probably my third favorite, if I'm guessing was probably Trey Benson was a really bad class.
66:40Another guy who could get traded to. We knew it at the time.
66:44Benson. I still, I still think, I mean, when he had like a brief, brief run, it was like one or two games.
66:51I think it was one game. He came through, uh, James Conner got hurt and then Benson got hurt and missed the rest of the season.
66:59I still would love to see opportunities for him.
67:01Yeah. All right. Uh, so the ESPN training camp reports, one other guy, by the way, I'd throw on there is Ray
67:08Davis, like yes, late round pick and something happens to James cook could be a stud.
67:13If you get James cook, you have to get Davis.
67:16Just like if you get Scadaboo, you should, I shouldn't say you have to, but you should make a plan to get,
67:23or just take them anyway, because they could be great for Kansas city and Mike Washington for the Raiders, Washington, especially, it
67:29seems like he's clearly the number two guy. All right.
67:33Uh, so those training camp reports from ESPN, Rashid Shaheed could be a major fact should be a major factor.
67:39I didn't think that was Jeremy Fowler who also said that Seahawks will have two to three running backs involved in the
67:45game plan, but Mike McDonald is impressed with Jadarian price.
67:48The Raiders don't have a set date for Fernando Mendoza's debut.
67:52Uh, Ashton Gentey could be an even bigger part of the passing game this season than he was last season when he had 55 catches.
67:59Easy first round pick at this point. They said, keep an eye on Adonai Mitchell.
68:04The Steelers running backs, another report about Dontavian Wicks being good and he should be a big factor in the passing game for the Eagles.
68:12Denzel Boston has looked very impressive and this was a quote, the Cowboys like second year running back Jadon Blue, but I
68:18don't think he's a threat to Javante Williams workload.
68:21And that is it for our show. It's a mock draft tonight at 7 o'clock p.m.
