A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury23:59

AJ Brown practiced this week, indicating he is progressing in his recovery and likely available for upcoming games.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveUsage40:08

Robinson's usage is improving significantly; he had 20 of 22 running back runs in Week 5 (92%), compared to 60% in the first three games and 74% in Week 4. He's one of only four players with 60+ rushing yards in every game this year alongside Derek Henry, Kenneth Walker, and Jaylen Warren.

Insight page
PositiveProjection40:41

Robinson has earned a large share of the backfield through consistent performance; 80+ percent of his yards come after contact, showing elite yards-after-contact creation proportionally similar only to Ashton Jeanty. His success rate on runs where he reaches the line without being hit behind it ranks among the league's most dependable backs, in the same range as Javante Williams, James Cook, and Kyron Williams, with only Gibbs and Kenneth Walker definitively ahead.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout40:42

The speaker is excited about Robinson's trajectory and believes he is really good; they are hoping for a poor performance this week against the Texans followed by a bye week, after which they plan to send out numerous buy-low offers, suggesting confidence in his eventual breakout and value opportunity.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection65:00

Nix is not playing well and is blamed for the Broncos' offensive struggles despite having a good offensive line and no injuries; the speaker plans to do a cut-up of Nix's film after the podcast to demonstrate his poor play. The Broncos threw for 576 yards and 6 touchdowns over the last two weeks, but this is not sustainable.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveRole29:44

Braylon Allen, Wisconsin running back, looked strong in recent action; the source highlights his performance positively as part of broader discussion of Wisconsin's offensive performance.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveUsage2:53

Brian Robinson Jr.'s explosive play rate (12+ yard runs) is cited as exceeding Derek Henry's 4.4% rate, indicating better rushing efficiency.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection39:33

Brock Bowers leads the tight end position in catchable air yards on the year despite playing only three games; he has recorded at least 74 catchable air yards in every game this season. By comparison, Trey McBride's single-game high is 71 catchable air yards. Only a handful of tight ends league-wide have posted games above 70 catchable air yards; Bowers has achieved this in every single game, indicating a unique and elite role in the offense.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveUsage18:34

Irving has averaged 7 targets and 4 carries per game in three games with Baker Mayfield; without Mayfield, he has zero targets and 3 carries in two games. The dramatic drop-off in volume without Mayfield suggests Irving's fantasy value is heavily dependent on quarterback availability.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

PositiveProjection23:54

Stroud has produced 200+ catchable air yards in all five games this season, a remarkable consistency. In 2023 (his best year), he hit 200+ catchable air yards in only 5 of 15 games; over the next two seasons combined, he hit it in just 3 of 31 games. This 5-for-5 start is a significant outlier and suggests strong passing volume and opportunity for his receivers, indicating improved offensive efficiency with Nico Collins in the lineup.

Insight page
PositiveProjection24:19

C.J. Stroud is throwing 200+ catchable air yards in all five games this season, a dramatic improvement from 2024-2025 when he hit that mark in only three of 31 games; this elite field vision and post-snap adjustment ability (seeing the field better than 90-95% of NFL quarterbacks) is enabling his receivers and suggests sustained passing game efficiency.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeProjection0:31

Chase Brown is averaging 25 PPR points per game in non-PPR, 20 per game in half PPR, and 18 per game in full PPR; not performing like a first or second round pick despite his draft capital.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:31

Chase Brown has outscored Basil Smitty in fantasy points through five weeks and is viewed as a buy-low candidate; the speaker plans to send out low-ball trade offers after a potential poor performance against Houston, expecting the offense to improve scoring volume and Brown to remain productive with consistent 20+ touches per game.

Insight page
PositiveUsage2:53

Chase Brown's 4.4% explosive play rate (12+ yard runs) is mentioned as ahead of Derek Henry's efficiency profile, positioning him favorably in the running back efficiency conversation despite Henry's higher scoring volume.

Insight page
NegativeBust8:44

Chase Brown is a topic of debate after a low week; the question is whether to sell low or hold. The concern centers on whether his strong late-season finish last year (21.6 PPR points per game in his last 10 games, top-five running back pace) was driven by Samaje Perine's injury or by genuine talent emergence. Early last season he averaged 3.6 yards per carry over seven games with one touchdown, but after Perine got hurt in week six, Brown averaged 21.6 PPR points per game over his final 10 games on pace for 250 carries and 80 catches. The key question is whether the Bengals' improved offense environment (compared to toxic situations like the Chargers) supports holding through a low week, or whether fool's gold is being bought by those seeking a buy-low opportunity.

Insight page
NegativeRole8:48

Chase Brown is heading into his bye week after a low performance, and the hosts caution against trading him away following a single bad week. The sentiment is that roster decisions should not be made reactively to one-week performance dips.

Insight page
NegativeBust18:38

In a head-to-head comparison with Golden Tate, Chase Brown chose Golden over Chase Brown, citing Brown's struggles. Later, when asked Chase Brown or Gentry rest of season, Chase Brown expressed hesitation about Brown's outlook, ultimately selecting Gentry despite acknowledging the difficulty of the choice.

Insight page
NegativeRole55:50

The speaker still likes Chase Brown and cannot give up on him yet, despite recent struggles, suggesting he retains faith in the running back's role and future production.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeRole17:44

Chris Rodriguez splits red-zone work with Basil Smitty; both have equal snap counts and touches from inside the five, with Rodriguez recording one touchdown to Smitty's two, and one fewer carry than Smitty from inside the 10, indicating a committee approach with no clear hierarchy.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection37:06

Christian Watson's statistical comp is 2021 Jamar Chase per Fantasy Points Data Suite; he's top five in points scored with one down week, averaging over three yards per route run. Target per route run rate has increased to 24% following Jane Reed's injury, and he grades 90th percentile in average separation score, receiving more design targets and short targets in addition to deep and red zone targets. Chase Brown projects him as a top-eight receiver on a week-to-week basis.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

PositiveProjection47:18

Ran two-thirds of routes in Week 5 after running 80% in Week 1; target share was 23% and 24% in his two healthy games with huge target-per-route-run rate; if he plays and either Saquon Barkley or Devante Smith doesn't in Week 5, he should be really good going forward.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveUsage67:00

Boston continues to be really good week to week for the Browns and is exempt from the accuracy and downfield throw issues that plague the rest of the offense; he is mostly safe despite the team's overall offensive inconsistency.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeRole0:48

Drake London's production has been heavily dependent on Michael Penix Jr. as his primary quarterback; his fantasy value is at risk if Penix misses time due to rib injury.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup7:04

Drake London has been unbelievable with Michael Penix at quarterback but hasn't performed close to that level with other quarterbacks. In the recent game with Tontoiloa, two of three passes were to Drake London, suggesting his production is highly dependent on Penix's availability.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveUsage2:53

Emmanuel Wilson's explosive play rate (12+ yard runs) is cited as exceeding Derek Henry's 4.4% rate, indicating superior rushing efficiency.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeRole67:30

Wilson is probably mostly safe despite the Jets' offensive inconsistency, but can still run into games like week four where he underperforms; the Jets' backfield split limits overall offensive ceiling.

Insight page

Golden Tate

PositiveUsage18:58

Golden has maintained consistent 20+ percent target share every single week despite being on the outside doing downfield work; he's one of a handful of receivers getting this volume. He hasn't scored much but catches a bomb per week, making him dependable week-to-week for fantasy despite the lack of touchdowns.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeMatchup60:15

Hurts and the Eagles offense face Washington, which is giving up the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks; only Daniel Jones has failed to score 30 fantasy points against Washington. The Eagles have an easy schedule going forward, but their offensive line is terrible, which could limit Hurts' effectiveness.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection65:00

Winston has the number one EPA (expected points added) over the last two weeks among all quarterbacks and has made more big-time throws in the last two games than the speaker saw in 34 games of Daniel Jones tape in 2020-2021. He is expected to be good this week but the speaker is very worried about him after that given the Giants' difficult schedule.

Insight page
NegativeProjection66:00

Winston's strong EPA performance was aided by an overtime game and a bogus pass interference call that converted an end-zone interception into a touchdown; his 47 dropbacks per game over the past two weeks is not sustainable, and the speaker is very worried about him after this week given the Giants' difficult upcoming schedule.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeMatchup63:00

Waddle faces Seattle on Thursday night at home; the speaker wants to research whether defenses struggle on short weeks at altitude. Waddle is the only clear talent outside of the Broncos' good offensive line, but the quarterback play has been a limiting factor.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage45:45

Averaging 163 scrimmage yards over his past three games; only Kenneth Walker, Jameer Gibson, and B. John Robinson have more scrimmage yards per game this year.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeRole69:10

Taylor is the only real offensive weapon for the Colts, but defenses have figured him out; the Colts are 30th in explosive play rate and are pathetic offensively, limiting Taylor's upside despite his talent.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveUsage29:50

Jordan Love had five completions that traveled at least 30 yards in the air on Sunday, tying Ben Roethlisberger's record; they are the only two players with that many 30+ air yard completions in a single game since ESPN began tracking in 2006—a 20-year span—indicating the Packers are letting him air it out aggressively.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection70:00

Herbert is playing the worst football of his career by far; in the past when injuries surrounded him, he played hero ball and looked unreal on film, but now the opposite is happening and he is playing really bad. With both poor play and injuries around him, there is no out for the Chargers.

Insight page

KeAndre Lambert-Smith

NegativeInjury10:00

Kendre Lambert-Smith is on injured reserve, preventing him from stepping into a potential opportunity with the Chargers despite their top six receivers being out. This exemplifies the dysfunction of the Chargers offense, where even injury-created opportunities are blocked by additional roster issues.

Insight page

Kendrick Bourne

PositiveProjection48:01

Only ran 62% of routes in Week 5 despite having 24% target-per-route-run rate; ran 77% in Week 1 suggesting route rate could increase, but upcoming schedule gets really tough; speaker is not buying in and doesn't think it's worth picking up in what looks like a two-receiver league.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

PositiveProjection71:40

Cousins has been better than people think in his role with the Raiders, supporting the team's offensive production despite limited weapons around him.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveProjection0:59

Kyle Pitts showed a bounce back performance in the Ravens-Falcons game, offering some encouragement after earlier struggles.

Insight page
NegativeUsage7:18

Kyle Pitts had his first game with more than three targets, catching 5 of 6 for 42 yards and a touchdown, but his 17.6% target share remains unencouraging. This represents a step in the right direction, warranting another week of monitoring before making roster decisions.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeProjection5:10

Mark Andrews had a poor Week 5 performance by his standards, dropping a touchdown and a two-point conversion that could have made his game look good. The speaker advises caution trusting Andrews going forward, citing the limited passing game design under Tyler Huntley.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveValue24:00

Marvin Harrison Jr. is a clear buy in mid-season acquisition; he joins a Houston passing game where quarterback C.J. Stroud is throwing 200+ catchable air yards in all five games this season (compared to only three of 31 games in 2024-2025), indicating elite field vision and protection. Harrison's release package off the line of scrimmage is his best skill, allowing him to win separation in tight spaces; if deployed in the slot as he was at Ohio State, he could become a focal point alongside Nico Collins in a narrowed passing game that has historically concentrated targets to one or two receivers.

Insight page
PositiveRole27:27

Marvin Harrison Jr. may face a similar role constraint in Houston as he did in Arizona, where he was often the third receiving option; C.J. Stroud's balanced target distribution across Nico Collins, Kishon Booty, and Xavier Hutchinson suggests Harrison could again be relegated to a secondary role rather than receiving the volume he had been expected to command.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeInjury0:48

Michael Penix Jr. suffered injured ribs in the Ravens-Falcons overtime game; if he is out, Drake London's production will be significantly impacted given the volume he has received from Penix.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveProjection55:45

Evans is awesome whenever he plays and hasn't yet reached the tip of the iceberg; the offense is finding new ways to get him the football each week, including vertical plays and red zone opportunities. He has had two plays caught inside the five-yard line that were knocked out of bounds and could have been touchdowns, suggesting untapped scoring upside.

Insight page
NegativeInjury57:21

Evans is dealing with lower body injuries beyond just ribs going into the season and is 33 years old; he appears to be in pain every game. However, the speaker notes that modern medical science has changed injury recovery timelines and does not believe age alone should disqualify older players from fantasy consideration.

Insight page
PositiveValue59:00

Evans is still one of the few unguardable players in the league and is currently ranked wide receiver 18, which undervalues his talent and upside. The speaker would not trade him away and believes he will be great when healthy, though would consider a parallel move to a younger receiver if available.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveRole23:30

With Nico Collins in the game, the Texans offense has been notably better. CJ Stroud threw some really nice passes to Collins and showed improved performance when Collins is active, suggesting Collins is a key target and scoring opportunity in the passing game.

Insight page
PositiveUsage27:16

Nico Collins has maintained at least 80 catchable air yards in every game, a strong indicator of consistent target opportunity; despite playing alongside Kishon Booty and Xavier Hutchinson, he's benefiting from C.J. Stroud's balanced target distribution rather than being force-fed, which contrasts with concentrated passing schemes elsewhere.

Insight page
NegativeUsage27:25

Nico Collins has not posted big target share numbers despite being a primary receiver in Houston's passing game, likely due to competing for targets with secondary receivers like Kishon Booty and Xavier Hutchinson; his role may shift if Marvin Harrison Jr. is deployed in the slot, potentially keeping Collins in his current role or allowing him more positional flexibility.

Insight page
PositiveProjection28:08

Nico Collins has been steady but hasn't yet had a huge eruption game; the source believes he could be one of the top five scoring receivers rest-of-season, though expresses some caution about his hamstring injury history.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

NegativeValue67:30

Gordon is a big deal right now for the Dolphins; the speaker would sell high on him rather than abandon ship entirely, suggesting he has outperformed expectations and represents a sell-high opportunity.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveUsage2:53

Omarion Hampton's explosive play rate (12+ yard runs) is noted as exceeding Derek Henry's 4.4% rate, suggesting stronger rushing efficiency.

Insight page
NegativeRole48:50

Ran only two routes in Week 5; minimal involvement suggests limited role in Steelers offense.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

NegativeUsage39:05

Rome Odunze had five catches for 64 yards on five targets in Week 5, marking the first week where Odunze and Christian Watson both scored double-digit PPR fantasy points. In Week 4, Odunze had six catches for 42 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. This dual-scoring pattern may occur periodically but both receivers are expected to finish the season strong.

Insight page

Samaje Perine

NegativeRole10:50

Samaje Perine's injury last season was the catalyst for Chase Brown's emergence; in weeks six through eight, Perine had 22 carries while Brown had 32 carries and played 58% of snaps. The question heading into this season is whether Brown's late-season dominance was a result of Perine's absence or Brown's own talent development.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveProjection39:33

Trey McBride's single-game high in catchable air yards is 71, significantly trailing Brock Bowers who has recorded at least 74 catchable air yards in every game this season. Chase Brown expresses strong conviction that Bowers will outscore McBride for the rest of the season, citing the stark difference in target opportunity and role.

Insight page

Tyler Huntley

PositiveProjection0:46

Tyler Huntley scored 15.5 fantasy points in the fourth quarter and overtime of the Ravens-Falcons game, posting 80 passing yards, a passing touchdown, and a rushing touchdown; demonstrated functional offensive production with the Ravens' new coaching staff.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveRole21:06

Marks will have a big opportunity with David Montgomery sidelined for a few weeks. His longest run this year is 12 yards, but he had three 12-yard carries and a 24-yard touchdown run (called back on holding penalty) against Tennessee, showing good tape. He's 72% rostered, so many will pick him up.

Insight page
PositiveRole21:26

With David Montgomery sidelined for a few weeks, Marks will have a big opportunity as the lead back. He's 72% rostered and will likely be a workhorse for the Texans. However, he faces a tough matchup this week against Jacksonville (Damian Pierce had 11 carries for 14 yards against them), followed by a more favorable Giants matchup where he could be RB1 that week. Last year Marks averaged 3.6 yards per carry on 196 carries (weeks 10-18), scoring only a couple of touchdowns, so volume-based upside is the primary appeal.

Insight page
NegativeProjection22:27

Despite poor efficiency metrics from last season (3.6 yards per carry average, longest run of 23 yards on 196 carries weeks 10-18, only a couple of touchdowns), Marks is viewed as a probable start in all formats for week 6 based on volume opportunity. Analysts project him as borderline top-12 to 15-16 range RB, betting on volume and potential touchdown upside in PPR formats, especially with limited offensive alternatives for Houston.

Insight page
PositiveUsage63:00

Marks might have more targets than Jalen Waddle and is being considered as a potential start over Waddle in Thursday night's game against Seattle, suggesting elevated target share and opportunity.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeRole2:53

With Tyler Huntley at quarterback for Baltimore, the Ravens offense is designed heavily around the run game with zone read concepts and power gap schemes; the passing game features limited air yards (108 catchable air yards in Week 5, similar to Pittsburgh's quick-hitting approach). Zay Flowers' ceiling is capped in this scheme, though the speaker advises starting him and doesn't expect a bench-worthy situation yet.

0:00This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. What a play!
0:03Can you believe this? He had no idea. It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
0:07Off to the races! And he stays on his feet!
0:10He's just gonna go the distance! Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
0:14Let's go beyond the box score here on Monday, October 12th.
0:17Adam Azer, Jacob Gibbs and Dan Schneier breaking it down for you.
0:21Baltimore 30, Atlanta 23. That's the first thing we'll talk about.
0:24Our big topics today. Can Caleb Williams rescue the Bears offense and those fantasy points that we need so badly from their receiving options?
0:31What are we gonna do with Chase Brown? He is really struggling.
0:34He is running back 25 per game in non-PPR, 20 per game in half PPR, 18 per game in full PPR.
0:40Not playing like a first or second round pick right now.
0:43Should we sell high on Mike Evans? There are some compelling reasons why you might consider it.
0:47What does that even mean? How high are we selling?
0:50And which offenses suck and we are avoiding them like the fantasy plague.
0:54What's up, Dan? What up boys? How you guys doing today?
0:57I mean, it's been a wild season so far.
0:59I look at some of my teams and they're vastly injured.
1:02And I just come to this show to think, how can I fix this team?
1:07And so we talk about that today and hopefully the advice we give today can help everyone else fix their teams that are dealing with major injuries.
1:14Yeah. Now you do this show just for your teams or for the other people's team?
1:19I mostly do it for the other people. Okay.
1:21Jacob, new location. Oh, no. Is this the same location as yesterday?
1:24Yeah, same location as yesterday. Okay. Looking to fix some teams.
1:27Man on the move. I'm starting to figure out which teams I am going to care about rest of season.
1:33Okay. Yeah. I can leave. We're at that point.
1:36We're at that point. But we got two overtime games yesterday and one of them did not end in a tie.
1:41That was last night's game. What a comeback win for Baltimore.
1:44They win 30 to 23. Let's start there. Jacob, major takeaways from the Ravens.
1:48Overtime win over the Falcons. And we're hoping Michael Penix is okay.
1:52He has injured ribs. Yeah, for sure. Definitely. Like it's brutal.
1:55If Penix is out, um, because so much of the Drake London stuff has come from him.
1:59Good to see a bit of a bounce back here for Kyle Pitts.
2:03I would say, um, bought the Baltimore side of things is more interesting to me.
2:07Honestly, like we've seen Atlanta on primetime now three straight weeks and it's just kind of like the same thing.
2:13Like, um, I guess it's sort of interesting that their defense didn't look quite as good.
2:17They weren't able to just completely control the game and the way that they had the previous two games, but Atlanta continues to look good.
2:24Baltimore, I was just encouraged to see that like we could still get some functional offense, even with Snoop Huntley in there.
2:30Like you never really know for sure. And this is a new coaching staff and everything.
2:35So I was excited to see how that would all gel in the first time working together and it looked pretty good.
2:41Yeah. I mean, I think you could argue that it didn't look great until the fourth quarter.
2:46Yeah. He had in the fourth quarter in overtime, Tyler Huntley scored 15.5 fantasy points.
2:50He had 80 passing yards and a touchdown. He had a rushing touchdown.
2:53He had a two point conversion as well. I think, uh, no, no, he did not.
2:58Derek Henry did. Um, there's just like 15 teams right now that are absolutely like, you're just hoping a prayer each week
3:04is how I feel about their passing game. You think so?
3:07And so, yes, dude, yes. There's so many bad.
3:09I don't, I didn't come away from this feeling very confident about the Ravens passing game.
3:14I don't know how the numbers, Jacob, you might, but to me from just watching on broadcasts, it looked like generally no
3:20air yards at all in this game. Hundred and eight catchable air yards, a hundred and eight.
3:25So like, it kind of reminds me of like Pittsburgh a little bit.
3:28Um, obviously it's not quite as you don't trust him to read things out quite as well as Aaron Rogers just think,
3:34but it's a lot of quick hitting stuff. Like Rogers had 71 catchable air yards this week, which is extremely low.
3:40Wow. But it's not really a problem. Like it worked because I think that the design worked all right.
3:46You know, like for fantasy, it works okay. And I think that could be kind of what we have here with Baltimore, which is to me a win.
3:53If we're just looking at like waiting until the market's back, like I'm just glad to not have to like, Oh crap.
3:59Do I bench as a flowers? Like, I don't think we're there.
4:03I think we're okay. Yeah. I don't know if we're there.
4:06And I, I agree with that. I just don't think that I think his ceiling is majorly capped with, with Huntley at quarterback.
4:12Um, but I do think it doesn't take that much away from Henry.
4:16If anything, it might even add a little bit to Henry's play less or fewer scoring opportunities.
4:21But this offense to me from watching it, and I'll go back this week and look at the tape to see if it confirms.
4:27It's generally just designed around the run game completely when Huntley is at quarterback, all the motion pre snap, all the zone
4:33read stuff where he's either keeping or giving it to Henry, uh, all the kind of just like you saw more power gap.
4:40I thought where the Ravens were pulling offensive linemen, trying to get Henry out in space, even, uh, at times justice Hill out in space.
4:47But passing wise, it feels very limited to me.
4:49And I think that teams will adjust to this as well.
4:52I think we're headed to a bad passing game, probably in there.
4:56Who do they have next after this? They're at Cleveland in week six.
4:59Then Cincinnati that being bad. I could see both of those, but being bad, but look, Hey, Mark Jackson could be back.
5:05You know, he, he might not even miss this upcoming game.
5:08All right. So listen, you're going to start Zay flowers.
5:11Mark Andrews could have had a good game. He dropped a touchdown.
5:14He dropped the two point conversion. He actually had a terrible game, uh, by his standards, but he could have been good.
5:21But I don't say you can really trust Mark Andrews.
5:23Um, but Derek Henry, I did want to talk about here because Derek Henry is RB five per game.
5:29Yeah. And he's averaging 4.2 yards per carry. He has a 4.4 explosive play rate.
5:33That's how many, that's the percentage of his plays that are for 12 or more yards is runs.
5:38Uh, that's ahead of guys like chase Brown, Emmanuel Wilson, Omarion Hampton, Brian Robinson, Jr.
5:42Cam Scadaboo, Ashton Jente. He doesn't really run the ball all that well, but he's scoring a lot.
5:47I mean, he's Derek Henry. It's just, he looks more right now on paper.
5:51Derek Henry looks more like sort of the, the end of the Tennessee tenure than the first two years of the Baltimore
5:57tenure, which was, but now almost all those years were really good for fantasy 2023 with Tennessee.
6:02Wasn't good, but I don't know. Like there are some, I think concerning numbers here, uh, for Derek Henry.
6:07If I don't know if anyone cares cause he's Derek Henry, but that's what's going on.
6:11I think you're right from an efficiency standpoint. I just don't think it matters though.
6:16And that's part of why fantasy is so interesting to me.
6:19We, we've done this a lot with these types of players, but the reality is he averages 3.2 or 4.5.
6:24It's going to be a matter of, of like 2.6 points per game from rushing and reality.
6:29And, and, and if the rushing touchdowns are still as high as they are, and there's some receiving touchdowns, those are going to completely Trump.
6:36I don't know 20 yards. He's losing a game.
6:38I don't know that there's going to be receiving touchdowns.
6:41There was one yesterday. If the total touchdowns are where they've been during his Baltimore tenure and they're completely on track as to where they've been.
6:48And when, when Lamar comes back, they'll remain that way.
6:51Well, a touchdown is worth, you know, the, the, the 20 yards, he's losing an efficiency.
6:56A touchdown is worth three times that. Yeah. All right.
6:58Now I do think we'll have a conversation later in the week on how to approach the Falcons guys.
7:04If Michael Penix is out because we just, well, that's a Drake London has been unbelievable with Michael panics and he hasn't
7:10been anything close to that with anyone else. And now to a tongue of Iloa through how many passes in this game,
7:16three and two of them were to Drake London.
7:18And one was in her. One was through. Third was supposed to go to the Hamilton, but it was supposed to go to the Drake London.
7:26So maybe things will be different this time. If you're thinking about Kyle pits, he's 69% rostered.
7:30This was his first game with more than three targets.
7:33He had five catches, 42 yards and a touchdown on six targets.
7:36He only had a 17.6% target share. So, you know, that's not super encouraging here.
7:41But it's a step in the right direction. Maybe you hang on to him for another week and see what's going on.
7:47All right. What's the beyond the box score schedule looking like guys?
7:50Um, but not a lot of good stuff or beyond the box score as usual.
7:54Dan and I do our signature show every Tuesday.
7:57So catch you up on all the film that we watched from week five and dig into way for our options and
8:03just all the advanced stats nuggets that we found.
8:05Um, talk about risers and followers on that show.
8:08And then we do, um, a rest of season rankings update for every position on Wednesdays.
8:12Um, go through the usage notes for every team, every player from the previous week.
8:16Um, and I think I'm going to do this week if I've got time for it, I'd like to carve out, um,
8:22time to make an episode that's like looking at the offensive environments that we have.
8:27Um, and trying to figure out which ones are the best.
8:30I think we're going to do the inverse of that today.
8:33We're looking at which ones are the worst. Yeah.
8:35Um, so hopefully a little bit of positivity, maybe find time for that episode this week.
8:40Good. I love it. I mean, we need some positivity and you know what?
8:44One of our topics is Chase Brown and I'm already seeing four comments about Chase Brown in the chat.
8:49So I want to bring these. He's killing us.
8:51Yeah. Uh, you don't trade Chase Brown after a low week and he's going into his buy, but take Chase Brown out of that.
8:58You don't trade player a whatever after a low week, right?
9:01This is what we would call selling low. But if you think that this is legitimately going to be a bust, like
9:07I wish I had sold a Marian Hampton a few weeks ago, his values only gotten worse.
9:12Um, if you think that any player is going to just be a bust, then sell him now while some people still
9:18think he's a buy that some people still think he's a buy low.
9:22Do we feel that way about Chase Brown guys?
9:24Do we think that we should sell low on him because it's fool's gold for the people who are actually buying Chase Brown?
9:31Chase Brown is really interesting. Um, cause you, you might be right.
9:34Um, but I just, it's not, no, I'm sorry.
9:36That's not my opinion necessarily. I'm just floating that out there.
9:39Yeah. Okay. Uh, yeah, that idea could be right.
9:42Um, I, it's different to me than Hampton in that the office environment is so much better.
9:47Yeah. Right. Like the chargers, like literally everything is falling apart.
9:50It's insane. I don't want to get too fixated on the chargers because I could talk about it for like 30 minutes,
9:56but like this week I was like, is Keandre Lambert Smith at least healthy, healthy.
10:00Maybe he'll step in and play now that their top six receivers are out.
10:04And it's like, no, he's on the IR. We're to Marcus while the scantling.
10:08Yeah. For backup offensive lineman. It's crazy. Whereas like the Bengals seem fine for the most part, you know, and we we've
10:14seen some games like this where some much, some much PR is a decent player, I think is really the thing to highlight.
10:20And you've got some context on that, Adam. We're like, this has happened in the past at times.
10:25And Chase Brown, I think ultimately has one out.
10:28Most of the time we don't know for sure that he will again this time, but I personally would rather bet on
10:34that because we know it can be so good for fantasy.
10:37It's seriously so simple for chase Brown. Show up to work.
10:40Don't fumble. And you're probably going to put fantasy points on the board.
10:44Yeah. And he's been a bit. Oh, sorry. No, I was going to say that the whole P Ryan thing last year,
10:50there was a stretch of the first seven games of the season for chase Brown.
10:54We're really bad. He, he averaged 3.6 yards per carry.
10:57He was on pace for 206 carries and 53 catches.
10:59And he was on pace for two touchdowns. He had one touchdown in seven games in his last 10 games.
11:05He averaged 21.6 PPR fantasy points per game. Uh, he's the top five running back in all formats, you know, per game.
11:11So, and he was on pace for 250 carries and 80 catches.
11:14But what scares me a little bit is that when he was struggling, he started splitting fairly evenly with Samajay P Ryan.
11:21Right. And then P Ryan got hurt. Yeah. Yeah.
11:23So in week six through eight, Chase Brown had 32 carries and P Ryan had 22 carries.
11:28Chase Brown was playing 58% of the snaps in week six through eight.
11:31We can't have that. Right. Okay. Like that's bad.
11:34What's this is what's safe. Chase. You can talk in one second.
11:37Sorry, Dan. What's safe. Brown last week, last year, rather was the P Ryan injury.
11:41Then his season really got going and he never really relinquished that.
11:45Go ahead. No, you made the point that I wanted to make.
11:48And it's a great point. We had to ask ourselves this off season was what we saw at the end of last
11:54season with Chase Brown because Chase Brown stepping up and they love him or because they had no options.
11:59And if you think about it with given, just think back to what their roster was at running back last year after
12:06the P Ryan injury, it was no one they can trust.
12:09And then Chase Brown, but a P Ryan only missed three games.
12:12So like after he came back, he stayed, he stayed on that point.
12:16And that was kind of the idea that like, okay, Chase Brown has taken over this backfield, but we don't know when
12:22he came back, if he was fully healthy, but there's a lot of other factors involved there.
12:26Now it feels like he's not necessarily someone I would trade at all because I think Jacob outlined the boom case and it's a good one.
12:34Like even through the first four weeks before yesterday, he just wasn't scoring touchdowns and he wasn't getting and that would have
12:40changed his whole, his whole outlook essentially. But he just doesn't look great out there from what I've seen.
12:45That's the bigger concern with me. The efficiency is down and the passing game stuff isn't there like it was last season.
12:51The passing game stuff is also concerning because I think, you know, last year in that stretch, he was on pace for
12:5780 catches, but a lot of that was without P Ryan.
13:00Two games without T Higgins. He had massive target games without T Higgins.
13:04He had a massive target game last week without Jamar Chase.
13:07I think it's possible. He's like a 60 catch guy, which is great, but it's not 80.
13:12Maybe a 60. How many catches would you project Chase Brown for rest of season?
13:16Because I'm thinking 55 to 60. Probably about right.
13:18I think that's fair. I also think like we can't overstate like, or I guess it would be overstate just the difference.
13:24The environment's still great, Jacob. And I agree with you, but the environment isn't what it was last year.
13:30Last year, their defense got off the field in five plays and they gave up a touchdown in those chase Brown in
13:36the gun and he's just getting all these dump downs and he's getting all these like carries out a shotgun when the
13:42defense drops into too high shell or cover three covers four covers, like whatever it is hand off.
13:47He's got a nice running lane or dump down and that's just not there anymore.
13:51The Bengals are ahead in these games. Their defense is playing great and they're going under center a little more.
13:57There's just not the same type of offense. I don't think anymore is what it was last season.
14:02That to me is the bigger concern with a chase Brown.
14:05Fair enough. And like right now they're 12th in points.
14:07So, okay. Some context. They're 12th in points per game right now.
14:11Last year, they were 12th in points per game.
14:13And for the full season, including those bad seven games start the year, Chase Brown was eighth per game in PPR, 10th
14:19and half PPR, 13th per game in non PPR.
14:22He made his hay. He was amazing in the last six games of the season when Joe Burrell came back and they were fifth in points per game.
14:30So far cry going from fifth to 12. Right.
14:32So let's just finish up this conversation here with Chase Brown.
14:35A few things here. We're trying to assess some trade value.
14:38Okay. I'm thinking about trading Devante Adams for Chase Brown.
14:41This is from Wayne. Devante Adams for Chase Brown.
14:44Would you do that? I'd rather have Chase Brown personally, but am I being stubborn?
14:48No, I think I'd also rather Chase Brown. I feel like it's a nice buy low, especially if you need running back.
14:54Like this person probably needs a running back. Chase Brown or this is like ridiculous.
14:58I don't understand. You gave up Chase Brown for Ja'Cory Krosky, Merritt and Mekhi Lemon.
15:02That's that. That's the type of stuff people are panicking and asking, but I wouldn't do that.
15:07I wouldn't do that. I mean, outside of the one touchdown run yesterday where like it was just a horrific angle by the giant safety.
15:14He, of course, Bill did literally nothing in that game.
15:17Yeah. Outside of that. He had another run. It was like 22 yards.
15:20I thought he had a 22 yarder. He had that.
15:23Yeah. He had the 22 yarder. He had that.
15:26And then just was, was not really. He doesn't catch the ball.
15:29And Mekhi Lemon is not going to be much when Devante Smith comes, but he's not much right now.
15:34In general, he's not going to be much in that offense.
15:37I prefer Ramondre Stevenson over Chase Brown. Now. I mean, his Travion's out, but Travion could be out early out this week.
15:43They haven't ruled him out yet. So yeah, but, but that's a good question.
15:47I think I'd still go chase Brown. If Travion's playing Ramondre has the exact same concerns.
15:52Like he hasn't run all that. Well, he has fumbled problems.
15:55Like when Corey Kiner fumbled this week on reds and I was like, Oh no, Ramondre fumbled the kid.
16:00Like we're, we're one away with him. He's a worse like version of chase Brown.
16:04In my opinion works offense. Like I don't know.
16:07Yeah, that's fair. The Patriots offense is starting to step up though and play better football again.
16:11Thankfully. Here's a tough one. Here's a tough one.
16:14Bucky or Brown. It's not tough. The, the bucks are terrible.
16:17The bucks are terrible, but I know that he's getting, I know that he looked great last week, but we're talking about
16:23like, what just the sentiments of the all time high with Bucky's coming off literally the absolute best possible outcome.
16:29Um, in his role compared to chase Brown and the absolute worst outcome.
16:32Yeah. Like, no, unfortunately I can't disagree with anything Jacob saying here, Adam.
16:36Like I just know I'm not pulling the trigger on any of these.
16:39I'm keeping chase Brown and literally everything that's been asked so far.
16:43Like I love Bucky. He's clearly better, but like, yeah, but would I rather have the bangles running back who like at
16:49any point their defense takes a step back and they're playing that four minute to hurry up offense.
16:54He's just like a elite fantasy option again. No.
16:56Okay. I'm not passing that off. How about Bucky's a great individual player.
17:00Matthew to be cleared. Oh, sorry. No, you're good.
17:02To be clear on Bucky. Like nothing changed last week.
17:05He just played the Cowboys and went nuts. Like probably.
17:08Yeah. That's probably what we'll, we'll go back and think like his role was the exact same because they were using him near the goal line.
17:15Not, not exclusively, but I think that, I mean, I could be wrong, but like, I think that that was literally just like reward Bucky for being awesome.
17:23And they at times were also using the other guys at the goal line, just like they always do.
17:28Like if you look at the situational stuff, it was basically all the exact same.
17:32So he's Basial Tootin. No Tootin gets tons of rushes around the goal line.
17:36But no, we can talk about that later. We'll talk about that later.
17:40Well, because they, cause they have a better offense or saying, but I bet.
17:44Yeah. It's there's no compartmentalized role, but Basial Tootin and Chris Rodriguez get carries around the goal line, even split.
17:49And Liam Cohen has produced two top 20 producers in terms of red zone fantasy points of running back in each of the past two seasons.
17:57Like it's fine that he splits it, but he definitely is involved.
18:00He gets tons of playing time and opportunities around the red zone, Basial Tootin.
18:04But Bucky. Yeah. I'm sorry. Bucky hadn't touched the ball inside of the 10 yard line since week one before this game,
18:10where he happened to go absolutely ham. And so they rewarded him.
18:13He didn't have a touch inside of the nine all year.
18:16And that was kind of the same thing last year.
18:19I just don't think it's the same as student at all.
18:22All right. But with one, our one edge that Bucky has over Tootin, as we've got now gone completely away from Chase
18:28Brown, Bucky Irving had 15 targets in three games with Baker Mayfield.
18:32Basial Tootin has 10 targets this season. Mm hmm.
18:34So that is and that might be something that you compare Bucky to Chase Brown.
18:38I mean, it's seven, four and four targets in three games for Bucky Irving with Baker Mayfield.
18:43They have zero and three and two games without Mayfield.
18:46All right. Two more here with Chase Brown. Golden or Chase Brown?
18:49Chase Brown. I think so. I will. I've got notes on Green Bay that I think are interesting, too.
18:54Their line has played a lot better these past two weeks and they've been able to kind of circumnavigate what's going on
19:01with the line by just really getting the ball out quick and it's working.
19:04And Golden has some Golden's been like crazy dependable week over week.
19:08It is crazy for fantasy. We don't get like there's nobody really doing anything at receiver.
19:12And the volume. The volume has shocked me for somebody who's on the outside doing so much downfield stuff.
19:17He just keeps having a 20 plus percent target every single week.
19:21He's one of like a handful of guys. He hasn't scored any of them really, but he catches like a bomb a week.
19:27Chase Brown or Gentty rest of season? That's a good one.
19:30Gosh, these two are so annoying. Yeah, they are.
19:33They really are. Gentty just saves his week every week with receiving stuff.
19:36If he doesn't get that, he's like a nightmare rushing wise.
19:39I'm going to go with Gentty. I'm just I hope that he can get healthier, but that is probably not a good guess, right?
19:46To just be like, yeah, this guy with an ankle sprain is like nursing the ankle sprain and still having to go out and play football.
19:53Right. How does it get better with one week?
19:56Yeah. Yeah. All right. We got to take a break.
19:59I think it's Chase Brown for me. Chase Brown.
20:01Yeah, I don't want to answer that because I don't know.
20:04I guess I would go with Gentty because I am a little afraid that they come out of the buy and P
20:10Ryan starts to get more work, but maybe it's tough.
20:13All right. Let's let's take a break. Come back.
20:16Give you your news and notes. We'll talk about Woody Marks and the opportunity that he has in front of him with David Montgomery week to week.

21:00Prices may vary and are higher in Alaska, Hawaii, California, many areas in New York, Oregon, Washington, and third party online sites.
21:06Taxes and fees may apply. How about Woody Marks?
21:08Woody Marks is longest run this year is 12 yards.
21:11That's not great. However, he had three 12 yard carries yesterday alone against Tennessee, and he also had a 24 yard touchdown
21:17run that was called back on a leave holding penalty.
21:20So a pretty good tape yesterday. I think for Woody Marks, I didn't watch all of it, but I'm watching it right now.
21:26He will have a big opportunity with David Montgomery sideline for a few weeks.
21:30That's your biggest headline right now. And obviously, uh, Woody Marks is 72% rostered.
21:34So I'm sure a lot of people are going to pick them up.
21:38Unfortunately, Jaguars this week, then the Giants, Woody Marks could be RB one that week and then the, then a buy.
21:44So still worth getting, but it's super tough matchup this week for Woody Marks.
21:47Damian Pierce might have the backfield to himself for the Eagles or practically.
21:51He had 11, he had 11 carries for 14 yards against the Jaguars.
21:55That's what Woody Marks is going up against this week.
21:57But still, uh, he gets Carolina this week. Then Dallas will ship.
22:01He's out probably a few weeks with, uh, it's Dallas.
22:04Well, it's Carolina this week. Then it's, I know, but he gets, and they're going to get a Dallas ship.
22:09He's out for a couple of weeks. Yeah. And Carolina is not a bad matchup either.
22:14They're probably going to sign somewhere. I can't imagine.
22:16They don't bring some competition and immediately. It's not like Woody marks.
22:19Hasn't been a lead running back before guys. Woody marks last year, you know, I don't know how you feel about him, but last year, yeah.
22:27Average 3.6 yards per carry. His longest run was 23 yards on 196 carries from weeks 10 through 18.
22:32He was on pace for 274 carries and 23 catches.
22:35In fact, if you remove week 15, when he left early with an injury, he was on pace for 296 catch a
22:41carries and 24 catches in that stretch, but he wasn't very good.
22:44He only scored a couple of touchdowns. So, uh, Jacob, what are your expectations for Woody marks this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars?
22:51Yeah. You're just betting on volume. You're hoping that it gets a touchdown or maybe a bunch of catches.
22:56Um, they've not really been able to run the ball very well a year.
23:00And then this match in particular, I wouldn't expect that to be the case, but, um, if he's out there all the
23:06time, yeah, he could be a volume based play that you can go to in PPR for sure.
23:11Yeah. I think, I actually think he's probably a start in all formats just based on the state of fantasy right now.
23:17You're getting a guy who's going to be one of the few workhorses on the field for weeks for a week six.
23:23In my mind, at least, um, there's nothing really else they can turn to and their offense.
23:28While they can't run the ball, it's been better.
23:30At least when Nico Collins is in the game, like CJ Stroud, I thought looked pretty damn good.
23:35He had two 40 and I thought he was, he threw some really nice passes to Noel and, and to Nico.
23:41And so there are some scoring opportunities for marks.
23:44So to me, that's like easily as borderline, probably top 12.
23:47It's probably more like 15, 16 range. Can I give you my CJ Stroud stats that I've got here on the notes while we're here?
23:54It's been good. Let me just give you one more injury note and then we'll move on to that.
23:59AJ Brown practice this week. Travion Henderson status is uncertain.
24:02And now it's time for Jacob stats. Go. Stroud has produced 200 catchable air yards in all five games this year.
24:07He's the only one to do it. He was the only one to do it through four weeks and he did it again this week.
24:14And this is new for anybody who's like, doesn't have a frame of reference for catchable air yards.
24:19Um, in 2023 is best year. He hit 200 plus in five of 15 games over the next two seasons.
24:25He hit it in only three out of 31 games.
24:28This series five for five. Interesting. And so I'm actually like really, really interested to see how this is all going to look with Houston.
24:35Cause they haven't been able to run the ball at all, but their passing game is working pretty well.
24:40Um, and Marvin Harrison jr. I think is interesting.
24:42I'm curious what his deployment will be. Um, if he does more of the, like exclusively out on the outside being kind
24:49of an X receiver, like he was in Arizona, that would be, I think awesome for Nico Collins to be able to move around more.
24:56But my expectation is you probably kind of just keep Nico in that role.
24:59Um, which then couldn't make Marv interesting. Right? Like he's, we never really seen him do anything but that role.
25:05Um, so I'm very interested to see what this right to see what this looks like.
25:09Cause there's a chance that Marvin Harrison jr. Is coming into a like profoundly different situation than the one that he's been in.
25:16Marv to me is a clear by right now, Marv Harrison jr.
25:19And people will laugh at that. They'll hear that.
25:22We like, this is just stupid. You think some guy joining an offense in the middle of the season, who's sucked because
25:28everybody just thinks he sucks because of where he was is a clear by.
25:32And I would say the answer is yes, because he gets to play with Nico Collins.
25:36He gets to play with a quarterback who Jacob just outlined is throwing, seeing the field.
25:41But to me, when I hear that stat, Jacob 200 plus or 200 catchable air yards in all of his games, to
25:47me, what that tells me is the quarterback is seeing the field better than 90 to 95% of the quarterbacks that to throw catchable air yards.
25:54It means you have to see what's going on post snap, predict it pre snap, and then do adjust the post snap
26:00rotation to be able to throw the ball into that space down the field.
26:04And he's clearly doing that at a high level right now.
26:07The offensive line is protecting him enough to allow for that.
26:10To me, Marv Harrison feels like an obvious by and could be like a potential big player down the stretch for us in fantasy.
26:17In the past, we've seen this passing game be pretty like narrowed down to one to two players.
26:22At one point it was tank Dell and Nico Collins.
26:24And we've seen that pretty much throughout Stroud's tenure as quarterback of the Texans.
26:28If that narrows down to Nico and Harrison, if they move Harrison into the slot, like they did at Ohio State to get him those.
26:35Really, I think he should be kind of their movesy or their slot guy because he can win in those tight confined
26:41areas with his release package off the line of scrimmage.
26:44Really? Yes. He's like the slowest guy on earth.
26:47He's slow vertically and breaking horizontally. He's not that slow when it comes to releasing off the line of scrimmage.
26:52Actually, that's where the best part of his game is, his release package off the line of scrimmage by far.
26:58And that's why you saw two weeks ago when he was last active against the Giants, he had that quick release and
27:04scored that touchdown because he gained separation in like a split second based on his release off the line of scrimmage.
27:10And I think a good quarterback, I don't want to say a good quarterback and say Stroud versus Bursette, but I think
27:16a quarterback can take advantage of that skill set personally.
27:19All right. I've been interested that Nico Collins hasn't had like big target share numbers just because of, I mean, he's running
27:25around next to like Kishon Booty and Xavier Hutchinson and stuff.
27:28And I think that kind of speaks to your point though, that Stroud is seeing the field well right now and is not necessarily like sticking on Nico.
27:36Like he's there when he's there, he's getting to him, but he's also getting to the other reads too.
27:41We've seen pretty even target dispersals over the past couple of weeks.
27:44Even when Nico back and Jaylen Noel getting involved.
27:47So I think that that is probably a good note for Marvin Harrison Jr.
27:51Where it's like what he's had in Arizona has been very much like very much just focused on one or two guys.
27:57And so he's often the third guy. It could be different here where he gets a lot more second.
28:02Yeah. I forget Tank Dell is on his way back to, but that will matter, but we'll see.
28:07Yeah. I think Nico Collins is a goodbye to like I said, there's a chance that Marvin Harrison Jr.
28:12does get stuck in that role where he's the sacrificial X again.
28:16And that's good for Nico and either way, Nico, like he has at least 80 catchable air yards in every game, which
28:22is a really good number for a receiver. Like this all seems very good for him.
28:26He's been steady, but we haven't really seen like a huge eruption game yet.
28:30We obviously know that that's in there. Um, so he, he's interesting to me.
28:34Obviously I'm always a little bit nervous about selling a ton for Nico because of the hamstrings, but the dude could be
28:40one of the top five scoring receivers rest away.
28:42That wouldn't surprise me at all. By the way, you're talking about Ohio state and Marvin Harrison.
28:47How about Wisconsin? Four in a row. Are they going to get, are they gonna be ranked?
28:52They got three on a gauntlet coming up. Three top 20 teams.
28:55Dan's a massive game this weekend. Wisco disco. If you're still in the chat, what up brother?
29:00We got a big one this weekend against UCLA.
29:02UCLA had a huge win against Oregon. I was rooting so hard for them to win that game.
29:07So our game would matter more. And now coming off the bi-week can Wisconsin be the underdog story.
29:12I've never in my life thought of them as that.
29:15I've always lived since I became a fan with them as a constant top 25 team.
29:20Yes, Adam. Yes. Well, I mean, they're not like there, you know, they're Wisconsin.
29:24They're, they're an underdog a lot. I mean, they play Ohio.
29:27They weren't during my entire childhood when I started rooting for them and my entire college experience.
29:31They were never an underdog story. Now they're a true underdog on ranked.
29:35No one expects anything from them. All right. See if they can do it.
29:39All right. Good luck. Good luck. So shout out, uh, shout out Braylon Allen while we're here.
29:44Yes. Wisconsin running back Braylon Allen. It looked damn good.
29:46I'll throw a few stats out there, but I'll throw it back to Jacob.
29:50Uh, a couple from ESPN Jordan love had five completions that traveled at least 30 yards in the air Sunday that tied Ben Roethlisberger.
29:57They're the only players with that many 30 plus air yard completions in a game since ESPN began tracking it in 2006.
30:03That's sweet. 20 years. So the Packers is going to let him rip.
30:07Like what else can you do on all you can't run the ball.
30:10I think they were sticking it to the bears a little bit too.
30:14For sure. But yeah, uh, that was amazing performance.
30:16Kyler Murray had, uh, had, I don't know how many scrambles he had, but he had more scrambles in any game since 2020.
30:23Thank God. And he has to do. Yeah. But again, he hasn't done it in five in six years, but he also
30:29has completed 40 of his last 48 passes. And that's again from ESPN.
30:32Yes. So I watched that entire game. I thought he looked more comfortable playing the quarterback position than I've seen from him
30:39in the last like three or four years and more comfortable by far than he looked at any point in his Vikings tenure.
30:45And I looked back and then I went back and watched just the second half of the week before because that people
30:51were telling me that was a good performance from Kyler.
30:54And I did think he started to show signs of it in the second half.
30:58Um, and then obviously he was leaning on Hawkinson who got injured in the first quarter.
31:02Um, and then just kind of found a way to, to win besides that.
31:06I'm pretty hopeful for Kyler moving forward based on what I've seen the last two weeks and had the solution.
31:12He's used his legs again to find it and create first downs.
31:15I think he's moving the offense. Well, and then that red zone touchdown to Jefferson was an absolute dime.
31:21Well, I was discussed. I mean, it was a bit of a prayer.
31:24I think I don't know how I completely disagree.
31:27I don't know. I mean, it was, I completely disagree to Adam.
31:30It was probably the best throw of his career.
31:32He made those three to Hopkins. He made those throws all the time at Oklahoma.
31:37And that's why I was excited about him as a prospect.
31:40I guess that was people would call them prayers.
31:42And I'd be like, no, that was good touch.
31:45It was harsh. Yeah. Anticipation and touch. Um, and great trajectory, the ability to throw that football there.
31:50I I'll, I'll throw that up on Twitter for, for later.
31:53I thought that was the best throw of the week.
31:56Uh, Kim Scadaboo has four fumbles. Yeah. Five games.
31:58This is insane. This is getting insane. And the saints have been so bad against running backs lately and they're super injured.
32:04Maybe they'll get healthier, but like, it'd be a, it'd be a good time to think about starting Scadaboo, but I don't
32:10even know if he's going to start. This is pathetic.
32:13Well, I was surprised yesterday. He still had 63%.
32:16And then it was 18 and 16% of the snap share for Najee and, and for Tracy.
32:20I think what the giants need to do personally, and it's gross sounding, but I think they need to activate Singletary.
32:26I think he might be one of their most effective backs somehow.
32:29What do you think about Scadaboo? I mean, do you trust, can you trust Scadaboo right now?
32:34No, of course not. The giants have averaged 2.8 yards per carry over the last two weeks.
32:39They can't get anything going on in their center.
32:41And the only time they move the balls when they let Jameis go to shotgun spread and they can actually run out of shotgun spread.
32:48They just haven't really, their old line's not blocking.
32:51Well, Scadaboo is not the red zone focal point that he was with dart.
32:55There's no, the backside of runs like no one, I mean, no one on any backside run I've seen has respected the quarterback's ability to keep the ball.
33:02So just crashing down. There's just, there's no involvement really in the past game.
33:06They're not trying to get him involved. What is he at this point for fantasy?
33:11Scadaboo or Hampton rest of season? LOL. Hampton. What is either one of them?
33:14Yeah. Hampton's nothing too, I guess. So I guess they're both, they're both, they're both bad.
33:19I don't even know if I could say Hampton.
33:21But Scadaboo's dominating touches. For now. If they can overlook the fumbles.
33:25The four fumbles, including one that just cost them a win.
33:28But yes. Um, I got one more stat. I got more, but I'll, I'll cede, uh, my, my turn here.
33:33But if you're talking about usage, which you guys all often do, you know, I don't know that any quote unquote must
33:39start guy had worse usage in week five than Jeremiah love.
33:42He was started in 92% of leagues. He has played fewer than half the snaps in four or five games.
33:48He barely played on third down yesterday. He played eight snaps.
33:51Jeremiah love played eight snaps in the second half.
33:54And we thought that type of game script would be perfect.
33:57Jeremiah love. I thought we were living and waiting for that game script.
34:00Now it's like, oh no, we got to that game script and they're not even using him.
34:05It's the second time. It's the second time. We too.
34:08Also they lost by 24. He played seven. The second half.
34:11They're at the Rams this week. They could get killed again.
34:14Jacob. Well, he told us last week, he's tired.
34:16He's really tired. And just like that's what love said after the game.
34:20And I, they're trying to keep him fresh for the season for the really important season where they're one in what four right now.
34:27Um, yeah. All right, Jacob, uh, back to you.
34:29Yeah. So just to build off a few things that you talked about, Kyler Murray at seven scrambles in this game, which
34:35was up from six and the previous three games combined.
34:38Nice. So that's what you want to see. In addition to what you guys talked about getting the ball quick passing looked good.
34:44Um, Drake and a, you talked about new England, AJ Brown coming back sometime soon.
34:49Drake may had 304 catchable air yards this week, which was second.
34:52Um, week four, he had 288. So that's a huge bounce back for me.
34:56Um, the weeks before that, he had 172, 168 and 126 in week one.
35:00So love to see that. King is back, baby.
35:02Love to see it. He just lost his left tackle now.
35:05So great. That's true. Um, yeah, that's true. We don't know how long there they've already had to have so many injuries on their own one.
35:12Braylon Allen was charted as gaining 102 out of his 110 rushing yards after first contact.
35:17What a beast. Awesome. Curious. If you think that we will get even more of a split than we had seen in the past when three saw back.
35:25I asked that last night on the recap show and to Jamie, he was, he wasn't too concerned.
35:30I think I, I one more game and I'm going to be really concerned about it.
35:34Uh, it definitely crossed my mind. I think he's earned it.
35:37You know, he's, he's playing really well. I don't really believe in Braylon Allen that much to be honest.
35:42I think like, look at his career. He hasn't really been that good.
35:46This was a freaking great game for him though.
35:49So, but, but at the same time, like look at Brees Hall week one, good against the Titans.
35:54The next two games couldn't run at all. So I, I kind of am worried about it.
35:58Like I don't, I don't value Brees Hall quite the same as I did before yesterday.
36:03And if it happens one more time, I'm going to really be nervous about it.
36:07Cause cause Allen could easily be the goal line back.
36:10I saw after the game that the, the first game, not that it matters, but like I was watching on Twitter, the
36:16first game ball that Glenn gave out, Aaron Glenn was to Braylon Allen.
36:19And I just feel like they felt like he was set the tone for them.
36:24I don't think he gets phased out. I think, I don't think he's going to have a like lead back role or anything, but any roles bad on.
36:31He was already taking red zone work. Right. Um, on the Packers, they only allowed one quick pressure.
36:36I think they only allowed one pressure overall in week four had an average time to throw of 2.2 seconds in week four.
36:43So I think that that was a clear reaction to what had been happening.
36:47What we saw the previous week on prime time, um, had a sort of long week to plan that out.
36:52Um, this week against the bears, it was again, one of the lowest quick pressure rates, 11%.
36:57And each of the first three games, their quick pressure rate was 20% or higher.
37:01So when I say quick pressure, that's a pressure that was occurring in 2.5 seconds or less.
37:06Um, I said, their time to throw is 2.2 seconds of week four last week.
37:10It was 2.4 seven. So again, they're like beating that quick pressure threshold.
37:14They're getting the ball up quick, even with what Adam said, which is that they're pushing the ball down the field.
37:19I think that's a really good combination that speaks to good planning, um, in terms of the offensive design.
37:25And I just want to point this out. Uh, so per the fantasy points data suite, they have this tool where you can look at like player comps.
37:32Um, and it dates back to 2021. And so it's just like recent comps who have like similar, um, stats.
37:38You can play with it and choose whatever stats you want.
37:41Um, so like expected fantasy points, average depth of target, how often the player is lining up at this slot, all sorts of stuff.
37:48You can even do really specific stuff, like what types of routes they're running and stuff like that.
37:53Um, using their query, they're just nine that they preset for you.
37:56Uh, Christian Watson's closest statistical comp is 2021 Jamar chase.
37:59And it's been like that all year long. I mean, if you look at the dude, like he's just, he's just printing for fantasy.
38:06There was one down week, but, um, he's top five in points scored.
38:09He's averaging over three yards per up run. And it's, I mean, going into the year, I was like, what if this
38:15guy who's all the guy who's always been his like really near the top of the league in terms of efficiency, even
38:21with a really low target rate, he's been very, very, very good on a yard per route run rate, even with a low target per route run rate.
38:29What if that target per route run rate increases?
38:32And we're basically seeing that because of the injury to Jane Reed.
38:35And then also just them wanting to emphasize him as target per route run rate is up to 24%.
38:40Um, he also grades out as 90th percentile in their average separation score.
38:44So we're getting lots of targets. We're getting more design targets, short targets, in addition to the deep targets and the red zone targets.
38:51I don't know, like maybe it changes because of Josh Jacobs or something.
38:54Maybe Christian Watson doesn't make it through the season or something.
38:57But like right now this looks like a top, like eight receiver on a week to week basis in terms of just what you're getting, what you're projecting.
39:05This was the first week where golden Watson and craft all scored double digit PPR fantasy points.
39:10Craft had five catches for 64 yards on five targets, but the one time Watson didn't do well was a craft game.
39:16Craft had six for 42 and a touchdown on seven targets in week four.
39:20So that might happen from time to time, but at the end of the year, probably going to look good.
39:25Uh, all right. Anything else before we go to break?
39:28For sure. Brock Bowers leads the tight end position, pending money net football, don't kick a capacity that Adam.
39:33Brock Bowers leads the tight end position in catchable air yards on the year.
39:37And he's only played three games. Wow. So make that bad Adam.
39:41What did we put on the line? Cause I'm winning.
39:43I don't think we put a bet. I don't think you're lucky.
39:47We didn't. There's not a chance in hell that McBride outscores Bowers rest of way.
39:51There is a chance. I mean, Oh no, there's no chance.
39:54There is definitely a chance. I'm just being a jerk.
39:57Uh, Brock Bowers has at least 74 catchable air yards in every game this year.
40:01Uh, training Brides single game high is 71. If you look around the league, there's like a handful of other games that
40:07have been above 70 catchable air yards at the tight end position.
40:10Bowers has done in every single game. It's like really a unique role in terms of like obviously all the targets and
40:16everything, but also there's, there's upside with it. It's like a, it's like a receiver role.
40:21I know that that is like kind of obvious if you watch Bowers, but it's just like, he's different than all the tight ends for sure.
40:28Because these aren't just areas. These are catch where it's the office is actually working.
40:32And so it's the idea that we've always had with Bowers is here.
40:36Andy looks healthy. He's creating some stuff too. Um, he's top five in the NFL in first three target rate.
40:41He passed CD lamb this past week. So on the year he's top five and first read target rate too.
40:47The office is completely funneled through him. Can I talk about baseball to in a little bit?
40:52Yeah, but let's say we have to take a break.
40:54Come back and talk about baseball toot. And we've got to talk about the bears, uh, the bears offense offenses that we hate.
41:01And was it? Oh, Mike Evans after this on fantasy football today.
41:04All right. Bay, is all toot. And what do we need to know about him?
41:08So the usage just keeps getting better and better and better.
41:11Um, he's really not, he, at least in week five, he didn't really split the backfield.
41:16He had 90, he had 20 of 22 running back runs.
41:19So the first three games, the percentage of running back runs was like 60%.
41:23And then week four is 74%. And then last week it was 92%.
41:26So he's really, I think earned a large share of the backfield.
41:30If you look, um, this is obvious, obviously a specific split.
41:33I used 60 plus as the threshold just for facial toot.
41:36But here are the players with 60 or more rushing yards in every game this year.
41:40Derek Henry, B. John Robinson, Kenneth Walker, facial toot to 60 or more rushing yards.
41:44Every game he's creating yards after contact and avoiding tons of tackles.
41:48And it's just been something that they can rely on, even though their run game last year was really rough down the stretch, um, in Jacksonville.
41:55And I think the run blocking has just not been great.
41:58Um, toot and if you look at yards after contact leaders, it's like 80 plus percent of his yards are coming after contact proportionally.
42:05It's way different than the other guys. Like he's, he has very, ashton, jet is the only thing that's close and tune has way better stats.
42:12Um, but gent is the only thing that comes close in terms of like, this guy's not getting hardly any yards before contact.
42:18Maybe that's a tune thing, but I think it's just the offense has kind of struggled in the run game outside of
42:24a few well-designed plays that get yards before contact.
42:27Otherwise they're sort of struggling. If you look at runs where the running back got to the line, they were not hit behind the line of scrimmage.
42:34His success rate is like at the very top.
42:37It's in the same range as Javante Williams, James Cook, Kyron Williams, like the most dependable guys.
42:42Um, the only backs that are definitively ahead of him in that metric are Gibbs and Kenneth Walker.
42:47So I think, I think it's very clear that Basil Tootin is really good.
42:51The problem is, well, a lot of people don't even agree with that.
42:54I think he's, I think he's really good and I'm excited about him.
42:58I'm hoping he has a terrible game this week against the Texans and then goes into a buy.
43:03And then I'm going to send out a hundred by low.
43:06Well, you know, as many by low offers as I can.
43:09However, I have to point out all these good things you're saying about Basil Tootin.
43:13He has scored fewer fantasy points than Chase Brown.
43:16He is RB 17 right now, I believe. Like 20 points called back from penalty.
43:20He's got 10 targets. He's got 10 targets. He splits the goal line work.
43:24They don't run a lot of plays. I think that'll hopefully change, but it's possible that Basil Tootin, the player is better than Basil Tootin, the fantasy asset.
43:31I'm in on Basil Tootin, but I don't want to overrate him because he is a little bit of a trap back.
43:37Doesn't catch passes and splits goal line work. So we have a larger sample size of Liam Cohen running backs being fricking awesome for fantasy though.
43:45I mean, Travis Etienne, Travis Etienne went nuts in fantasy.
43:47He's like running back seven or something last year.
43:50I get it, but like it's, it's not really happening right now for Tootin because he has 10 targets in five games.
43:56That's what I'm saying though is it's right now it's five games.
43:59They drop back to pass like 25 times per game.
44:02That seems just kind of weird and random. All right.
44:05So what's going to change for him? What's going to get better?
44:08I think just more play volume, more scoring from the offense.
44:11And then I also think that the short yardage stuff, people get really annoyed because when we're watching on Sunday morning, we
44:17see Amir Abdullah in there, which by the way, played like two snaps all game.
44:22And it is kind of annoying that those happen to be the snaps at the goal line.
44:26Um, it's a weird offense. They're using three or four different running backs in the red zone.
44:31And when I say using they're on the field, they're really only using.
44:35Using two in the red zone though, in terms of giving them the ball and it's to an increase Rodriguez.
44:40Um, there's no clear one though. Both of them are getting the ball.
44:44Um, tune has, they have the same amount of snaps and touches from inside the five with tune having two touchdowns.
44:50So Chris Rodriguez is one. And tune has one more carry than Rodriguez from inside the 10.
44:54So like in close, it's very similar between those two guys.
44:57It's not like they bring Rodriguez in all the time.
45:00They just do that sometimes, which to me is fine.
45:03It's not ideal, but there's lots of running backs that are still really good for fantasy.
45:07Yeah. If tune would have scored one or both of the touchdowns that he got called back in week four, I think
45:14we'd be really, really, really happy with him. He'd be like a top 10 running back with good usage that just got
45:20like 24 touches or whatever he got in week five.
45:22You know, like I think we just feel awesome.
45:25Um, and instead of, yeah, I know, but a lot of people don't.
45:29So instead of the, instead I think is a clear by low, maybe you can wait until after the Houston game.
45:34But at the same time, it's like, if he's going to get 20 touches every game and we believe that this office
45:41can put points up on anybody and lots of offices have put points up on Houston.
45:45It could be this week, you know, it could be any week is kind of how I feel with dude.
45:51The last thing I want to point out is he's been very, very good in short yardage situations for what it's worth.
45:57Um, so over the past two seasons, he has a 79% success rate on runs that required three or a few fewer yards to get a first down.
46:04We're just running back three out of 55 qualifiers.
46:07Chris Rodriguez is also good running back 14, but like tune's been really good at that.
46:11I don't think we have any evidence that suggests like he's going to lose short yardage work or anything like that.
46:17I think his coach just really likes to use multiple guys in the red zone area, likes to feel really smart with
46:23all the cool creative stuff that he does. And sometimes that's good for tune and sometimes it ends up being somebody else.
46:29And that's kind of annoying, but I think over the course of the full season, we're going to feel really good with tune if he stays healthy.
46:37Okay. I do feel good. I think he's a buy for sure.
46:40I didn't mean to, to, uh, you know, say otherwise, um, just throwing out the numbers there.
46:45All right. Um, good more. I just want to show just shout out Jalen Warren.
46:49The dude's averaging 163 scrimmage yards over his past three games, 163.
46:52The only guys who have more scrimmage yards per game this year are Kenneth Walker, Jameer Gibson, B.
46:57John Robinson. That's all crazy. He's awesome. Uh, a few more things for me, Jacoby.
47:02I want to talk about Jacoby Myers. You're looking at just like a random by low.
47:06I don't know if he is one, but he, he runs a ton of routes.
47:10Brian Thomas jr. Is just not a factor. Brenton strange has been good two weeks in a row, but Jacoby Myers, Jacoby
47:16Myers has had a 21% target share or higher six straight seasons.
47:20Right now it's 13%. I wonder if you're doing a trade, throw them in.
47:24No one cares. Like people are going to start dropping him, maybe pick them up, put them on your bench.
47:29You might be able to produce, you know, two at every three weeks or something like that.
47:34I don't know. Um, Dallas Goddard ran two thirds of the routes coming back from injury.
47:38He ran almost 80% of the routes in week one.
47:41So I expect more routes in week six against the Panthers and his target share has been 23% and 24% in his two healthy games.
47:48He had a huge target per route run rate.
47:51If Dallas Goddard plays and either Saquon Barkley or Devante Smith, it doesn't in week five.
47:55Then I think he's going to be really good.
47:57Kendrick Bourne. I know people are going to think, Oh, Marvin Harrison's gone.
48:01Kendrick Bourne. There's some merit to that, but their schedule is about to get really tough.
48:06Kendrick Bourne only ran 62% of the routes. He did have a 24% target per outrun rate.
48:10I think that route rate could go up. He ran 77% of the routes in week one, but pointing that out on Kendrick Bourne.
48:17I don't, I don't know how much I can buy in.
48:20I think it's like a two receiver league. I'm not, I'm not picking them up.
48:24Uh, Jeremy Bernard played 92% of the snaps and he had six catches for 80 yards on nine targets for the Steelers.
48:30Uh, Omarion Hampton ran two routes. And Wilson's going to be out now, by the way.
48:35Yeah. Wilson's out for a bit. And Jeremy Bernard, like he's not to, I don't know if you guys watched, he's not
48:41that impressive to me on tape, but maybe I'm missing something.
48:44I think I really like Jeremy. He's weird. I like Jeremy a lot too.
48:48Um, he looks speed from him and he doesn't really have that.
48:51He's not fast. He looks slow. Yeah. But he's also, I mean, it's, this isn't, it's like a Robert.
48:56This isn't right, but he's like a Harold Fannin at the wider zero position.
49:00Okay. Okay. Very weirdly hard to tackle. Um, Omarion Hampton ran two routes.
49:04He has six targets this season. And then this is concerning.
49:07Just looking at the first half when Kenyon Sadiq was healthy.
49:10Cause he got hurt. I think in the third quarter, Kenyon Sadiq ran 19% of the routes.
49:15Mason Taylor ran 75% of the routes. So I don't think I can sit here and tell you to hang on to Kenyon Sadiq.
49:21No. All right. We'll go to our big topics.
49:24Now we already knocked out chase Brown. Let's knock out the bears passing game.
49:28Will Caleb Williams save the bears pass catchers? Hopefully he plays this week.
49:31They are at Atlanta. Dan, is this the savior for these bears pass catchers that we've been looking for?
49:37I think so. I think we got derailed a little bit after week one where they went off 59 points, had a
49:43weird rainy wet game against Brian floors in week two.
49:46Yeah. And then Caleb got hurt in that game.
49:48So we really don't know that it's not the case right now.
49:51What we know is the case is that the bears offensive line is still phenomenal and relatively healthy.
49:56I think compared to the rest of the NFL, the pass catchers are all healthy and have looked good at individual moments
50:02with two backup quarterbacks and Keenum and, um, Baygent.
50:05And so if Caleb Williams can get back to playing the football he was playing, which was decisive, he had commanded the line of scrimmage.
50:12He understood what was going on. There's a chance that they could still do what Ben Jensen Johnson set out to do,
50:18which is like, like break records and set numbers in the passing game.
50:22And not just a passing game, but from a total point scored.
50:25And there are cracks now being shown in the bears defense, which I expected sooner.
50:29It happened this week. They don't really have the town.
50:32They've had a lot of injuries on the defense side of the ball.
50:36So it's shaping up to me. Like we could be looking at an explosive offense over the, you know, over the course
50:42of time when Caleb comes back, I have been trying to buy on Rome.
50:46I've been trying to buy on all three of these guys, Loveland, not as much, but on the, on the other two for sure.
50:52What do you think they're like mid to the late season schedule gets really nice.
50:56Um, so I'm, I'm into buying all of them, honestly, including Loveland.
51:00Um, Loveland just continues to be for whatever reason, just the most cursed unlucky player in fantasy football this year.
51:05It's so cool. Um, I've got a group of 10 players who had the lowest catchable target rates in week five, minimum of five targets.
51:12Um, there were 10 guys who had a catchable target rate of 67% or lower and three of them were bears.
51:18They're on the screen right now. Loveland's was 40%.
51:21I think you look at the Falcons without panics for the first two games and you can just say like the season
51:27started for them in week three and they are now we know what to expect as long as panics is healthy.
51:32And you could maybe say the season's going to start in week six for the bears week two.
51:37I can kind of throw it out because of what Dan said, the weather, the floor is thing.
51:42Week one was crazy. I don't think I expect 59 points.
51:46Now let's see what they're really about. My questions are going to be this.
51:49What is Cleve Raymond's role? He's been pretty invisible for two straight games, but the first three games, he was annoying.
51:55He was a thorn in the side. Um, he hasn't been running as many routes the last couple of weeks and, but he's still out there.
52:02It's not like a huge change. He is still out there.
52:06Yeah, he is. As Caleb Williams going to target him to what is Caleb Williams health?
52:10How much is he going to run? How mobile is he going to be coming back from this hamstring injury?
52:16This could go either way for them. It could one just make him a less effective player, less, uh, you know, less
52:22prone to make those big plays on broken plays running around.
52:25Like when week one, he had a 40 something yard throw to Roma Dunzey where he escaped the pocket and hit the Dunzey downfield.
52:31Like, is he going to be able to do that?
52:34But the other thing is, it looked like he wanted to be more of a rusher just based on the first two years, two games.
52:41He had nine carries in week one last year is about four or five pretty much every week.
52:46He had five carries in week two left with an injury, had about a half a quarter left if I recall.
52:52So maybe he won't run as much. Maybe he'll just throw more.
52:55Um, I could see that going either way, but I hope he's, you know, healthy and not coming back too soon.
53:01Uh, but I'm generally optimistic. I think the bears are going to score a lot of points.
53:06I don't, I think it still could be frustrating for fantasy if the con, if the targets aren't concentrated, um, between those three guys.
53:12So I think it's still a bit of a mystery.
53:15And if I had to rank them rest of season, I would put Loveland last.
53:19I think I'd put, I'd put burden first. Cause so dunes.
53:22Yeah. I'd go bird and Odunze Loveland. How about you?
53:25I guess I'd go first burden Loveland. Odunze. I think they're all good buys.
53:29I think the running backs are really good buys.
53:32If we're including them in terms of like, which ones are the best buys.
53:36I think Swift is probably up there among the top ones, if not the top, the best buy.
53:41I think these two offices we've talked about here recently are both really good buys the bears for obvious reasons.
53:46And then the Jaguars, I think they just haven't quite performed up to what they could do.
53:51Um, these have been, I mean, other than like Kyle Shanahan and like what's going on in Dallas, these have pretty much
53:57been the, the two most in Detroit, the two most productive, uh, play designers, play callers for fantasy football over the past three years.
54:04It's just played a couple of really tough defenses too.
54:06Yeah. So to me, like, I think it's totally fair to bet on these offices being top three, top five, top eight,
54:12at least because that in terms of fantasy points produced as a whole, right.
54:16Because that's what they've been with these coordinators in the past.
54:19Um, and both offices are interesting because we, especially Jacksonville, like there's a lot of different pieces.
54:24And so because of that uncertainty, other than Parker Washington, nobody really feels that much confidence in any of them.
54:30But I think Jacobi Myers is a good player to have on your roster.
54:34Like you can put them in, in a pinch and then like, what if something happened?
54:38What if something were to happen to Parker Washington?
54:41Who was out there making heroic plays all the time?
54:43You know what I mean? Now it could be like a 25% target share for Jacobi in Jacksonville's offense.
54:49You know what I mean? Like same thing with the bears, that same type of potential exists, the contingent upside.
54:54And I just think these are great offices to buy.
54:57All right. Next topic is, should we sell high on this player?
55:00This player who has by far a career high explosive play rate, a career high catch rate way above his career average
55:06career high in yak per catch career high 3.05 yards per outrun.
55:10By the way, he's what? 33 years old, 32 or 33 years old.
55:13He hasn't ran 80% of the routes in a game yet.
55:16He's Mike Evans. Should we sell high? Playing for two broken ribs.
55:20Yeah. He's right. Should we sell high on Mike Evans?
55:22It's seriously crazy watching him right now. He's so good at football.
55:26Well, I'm just saying like every, every time they show him without his helmet on, he looks like he's excruciating pain.
55:32So much pain. Yeah. He's playing for two broken ribs.
55:34Oh yeah. Those aren't going to heal, but I would not sell.
55:38Sorry. He legitimately did not know who that it was Trayvon Diggs.
55:41He said, so he made him turn around to see who it was.
55:45Yeah. And I like how it was like Trayvon Diggs was whining because I was blocking him too hard.
55:50Like dude, that's your fault, not his. And I would never trade Evans.
55:54Evans was on my bold predictions, uh, preseason pod, which is getting flamed and rightfully so for the most devastating call of my career in a Marion Hampton.
56:01But I just can't even get over how bad that is and how bad the chargers are.
56:06But Evans isn't bad. Whenever Evans plays, he's awesome.
56:09As I predicted he would be. I don't even think we've hit the tip of the iceberg yet.
56:14Like they don't like I don't because I think every week they're finding new ways to get him the football and it's
56:20not just vertical, which hasn't even really been there yet this season.
56:23He put he has a big plays in the, in the offensive playbook or in the red zone and around the red zone.
56:29He said two plays where he's caught it like inside the five yard line, been knocked out of bounds.
56:35Those could have been touchdowns as well. So I would not sell him.
56:38I mean, if you're selling him, you're just like, oh, it's because he's going to get injured.
56:43If that's the case and you're just trying to predict injury, go ahead, sell him.
56:47Did you sell him for Chase Brown? What'd you say?
56:50Chase Brown. I weirdly still like Chase Brown. Okay.
56:52I just can't give up on Chase Brown yet.
56:55But so we just put a comment on the screen.
56:58Bro is Robocop about Mike Evans. There's no way Dan, like, does Dan even know who Robocop is?
57:03I've heard Robocop. I've heard the name Robocop. Don't really know.
57:06Is it Schwarzenegger? I feel like. No, no. Feels like a Schwarzenegger type movie.
57:10He's Robocop. Who's Robocop? Peter Weller is Robocop. That doesn't strike any bells for me.
57:14I don't, I wouldn't have no idea who that was.
57:17No, but you don't even know the movie. I know it's like a Robocop.
57:21Yeah. You know? Well said. Perfect. I would trade, I would trade, I would trade Evans if you get something that you feel good about.
57:27I mean, I don't want to just give him away.
57:30I don't want to, you know, to Dan's point, like just predict injury.
57:34Cause we don't know. Maybe like a season, but it does look like it's pretty painful for him every game to be out there.
57:41Um, and he was dealing with a lot of stuff, lower body to going into the season, right?
57:46It's not just the ribs. Um, and he is 33.
57:48So like, that's, that's fair to me. Um, people are like talking about AJ Brown over and over like AJ Brown coming
57:54back is going to just light the league on fire and everything.
57:58And I think he could, I'm really curious to see what it's going to look like when AJ Brown gets back.
58:04I bring this up though, because like somebody made this point to me before the season that I had AJ Brown ranked
58:10too high because there had like literally never been a receiver his age to do what I was expecting him to do
58:16based off of like his previous seasons to like outproduce those seasons at his age.
58:20Um, and I was like, well, it just feels like he could, it feels like the circumstances are so good for him
58:26that he could, like, I don't want to be that guy and just like bet against what history is clearly telling us.
58:32Um, and then we immediately get the reason like why that so often probably is the case that that receiver doesn't outproduce
58:38that solely into the career is because your body doesn't hold up.
58:42Right. Um, maybe it's a fluke thing with AJ Brown.
58:44I don't know. I don't know. Maybe. I don't care at all about age anymore.
58:49I don't care. I don't. I mean, look, Devante Adams, Devante Adams, Derek Henry.
58:52I mean, Samashi T. Ryan, um, it's like 31.
58:55I just, you know, look as I'm, I'm 42 now.
58:58I've been doing this show since 2009. Things have changed.
59:01I mean, medical science is different. Guys are coming back from torn Achilles in nine months.
59:05It just doesn't matter anymore. Was it less for a kiddo?
59:08Way less. Whatever it was. Like it, it doesn't matter.
59:11This used to be, if I, if he had torn his Achilles in 2009 at his age, his career probably would have been over.
59:17It doesn't matter anymore. I don't care about age.
59:20These old guys are doing fine. Young guys get hurt all the time.
59:24Right. So I, I just like, I don't care about age anymore.
59:27The best guys are good. The best values right now are like Henry Adams.
59:31Like all the guys, you can't draft them. They're too old.
59:34They're all like the best values as always. Like once again, Derek Henry goes underdrafted.
59:38It's like a Henry and George Kittle guys. I know, but it's not, it's also Mike Evans.
59:43Like Mike Evans is a legend. Okay. But these are like the two best athletes I've watched.
59:47True. I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that.
59:50Yeah. Like 20 years. But Evans is still on guardable.
59:53Still one of the few unguardable players. You cannot really match up against.
59:56I think Evans is going to be great when he's healthy.
59:59I'm just saying I'm a little nervous about it.
60:02And if I could get something, a parallel move that's 27 years old instead of 33, I would absolutely do it.
60:08I don't even know what parallel moves are left though.
60:11That's the problem. There's so few good receivers that like Adam's point.
60:14He's not even, he's like wide receiver 18 right now.
60:17Yeah. No, I think that's, to Dan's point, I think it could be a lot better.
60:21Right. I think that's realistic. And to Adam's point about, you know, all the efficiency stuff being the best it's ever been.
60:27It's like, well, yeah, he's playing with freaking Brock Purdy and Kyle Shanahan.
60:31Which is what we said. And he's wide receiver 18 only Adam.
60:34Cause he had the game where he was playing hurt or like left it with the injury or whatever.
60:39That's kind of true. But he also just doesn't run that many routes.
60:43I mean, I did this with Luther burden and you know, a couple of two weeks ago, Luther burden doesn't run 80%
60:49of the routes and Mike Evans hasn't reached that yet either.
60:52Last year, the only top 12 wide receiver, I think per game that ran fewer than 80% of the routes when they
60:58were healthy, not for like the full year, you know, Devante.
61:01No, it was, um, it was a Puka. And Puka had a few games where he like left early with the injury.
61:07When he's at his best, he's playing 88, 89% of the routes.
61:11So it's, it's rare to do it, to be top 12.
61:14He doesn't have to be top 12 right now.
61:16He's 18th. He's got the same amount of points per game as Drake London.
61:20Who's obviously better than him. Justin Jefferson, who I think we'd take over him.
61:24Um, he's just ahead of Malik neighbors, George Pitt.
61:27He's ahead of George Pickens, you know? Um, but like Devante Smith is actually averaging more fantasy points per game than Mike Evans.
61:33Who'd rather have rest of season? Who knows what to expect from Philly.
61:37Like one of the stats I was going to give you earlier is that they dropped back way more.
61:4242 dropbacks. Hertz only has six games of 40 plus dating back to 2024.
61:46Uh, they were third in pass rate over expectation week five.
61:49And that was a game where they didn't have Devante Smith, you know?
61:52So like it's possible if they just can't run the ball at all, but this is just what their offense is now,
61:59which could be good for Devante Smith. I would assume your plan would be to try to get him as many quick targets as possible.
62:06If this is, if you're like a crappy version of the Packers is where you're at now, um, as an offense, then
62:12like you probably want to get Devante Smith, a bunch of those looks.
62:15Uh, yeah. And there's one thing that, that hurts is still doing, you know, a great job with, was, is the downfield throws.
62:22We saw that with Cooper. That was a great throw by him, a dime.
62:26Why don't we go to the offenses that suck?
62:28Because the Eagles. Yeah. They're one of them. They're 28th and scoring.
62:31Um, all they do is go three and out.
62:34Which offenses do we avoid rest of season? Eagles.
62:36No. Yeah. Yeah. What do you mean? No. A hundred percent starting Goddard.
62:40I just told you 30% target share or something last week.
62:43Oh no. 30% target run rate, whatever, but fine.
62:46Enjoy that. I mean, he's fine. Borderline top 12 play.
62:48I suppose you're starting Smith. Cause there's nothing at receiver.
62:51I mean, you're still starting these guys hurts. I don't know if you're definitely starting.
62:55Think about, think about the Eagles, the 28th and scoring and the team that's 29th and scoring the Broncos and think about
63:01how many more startable players we have on the Eagles than the Broncos.
63:05You could consider Jalen hurts. You can't even consider Bo Nix right now.
63:09I'd much rather have Devante Smith and Jalen Waddle.
63:11I'd much rather have Saquon Barkley than any running back.
63:14I'd much rather have Dallas Goddard than Evan Ingram.
63:16So the Eagles are a problem and they've had a pretty easy schedule and their schedule is super easy going forward, like for the foreseeable future.
63:24That's true. They have an easy schedule. The Broncos.
63:26I haven't looked at that. I don't even know what to do with the Broncos.
63:30Like they got Seattle on Thursday this week. I feel like I need to take the time to watch like two hours
63:36of Broncos tape because I have no idea what's going on with that offense.
63:40Well then what's the problem? Their O-line is still great and there's no injuries.
63:44Is it just all Bo Nix? You know what the problem is.
63:47I know, but I thought he was getting better.
63:50I don't think they have a lot of talent outside Jalen Waddle.
63:53That's not a good excuse. When your O-line's fine and you don't have injuries and you have a Waddle, you should be fine.
64:00They're fine, those guys. When the O-line's as good as it's supposed to be for the Broncos, I always blame it on the quarterback.
64:06It's never the receiver's fault in my mind. Okay.
64:09Get the ball out. Figure it out. Process the field and get it into space.
64:13People are, they're professionals running routes. And Waddle's good.
64:16You going to start Jalen Waddle Thursday night against Seattle?
64:18I want to, but I might have to. Would you rather start Woody Marks against Jacksonville or Jalen Waddle?
64:24Woody Marks. You know what I want to research?
64:26Marks might have more targets. I want to research when the Broncos play Thursday night home games, if defenses really struggle on a short week in the altitude.
64:34In the altitude. Yeah, sure. I want to see if that's a thing.
64:37Sample size of that's going to be like two games.
64:40Offenses that we want to avoid rest of the season that come to mind for me.
64:45Yeah. I have more hope than you guys do, or I guess than you might add them in the Broncos, so I
64:51won't put them on the list, but I think that's fair.
64:54They're like, they're on the list right now. They could come out of the list, but right now, I don't want to.
65:00I just think they could at least get better with a good O-line.
65:04But it's only Waddle, right? Like, they, you know.
65:06Yeah, I just mean more so like the offenses, I think, aren't going to score a lot of points and they're going
65:12to just be in these constant, like, 10 to 17 scoring games.
65:16Titans. Eagles. Eagles for sure. Eagles for sure. Okay.
65:18How could it not be? Have you seen the last two weeks of...
65:22Because they're playing their schedule. Their schedule's so good.
65:24Okay, what is it? They've got Washington and Dallas coming up.
65:27Washington is not good. Washington can play defense and they will play defense really well.
65:31Dallas, Washington, Giants. No, you're wrong. Giants will be able to handle that.
65:35Washington's giving up the... Are you kidding me with Washington?
65:38Washington's giving up the second most fantasy points. There's only one quarterback that hasn't scored 30 fantasy points against Washington.
65:43It was Daniel Jones. Yes. And that strategy, I think, will work against the Eagles.
65:47That's my personal opinion. The Eagles offensive line is terrible.
65:50We'll see if I'm wrong. When we get to that game, I want to see if Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense lights it up.
65:57Because I'm very curious. We'll do fine. Did you think the Giants lit it up yesterday?
66:02They didn't light it up. Yeah, they threw for 303 TDs.
66:05That's lighting it up. But they didn't even play that well.
66:08But Washington is so bad. All right, fine. Eagles, we don't agree on the Eagles.
66:12Which offenses do we agree on? Okay. Titans. Titans for sure.
66:15Right? Giants. Who? Neighbors, likely, I guess. But I'm nervous about the Giants.
66:19I'm very nervous. I can't believe you guys would say that.
66:22Thank you, Jacob. Thank you. Are they going to keep Jameis in there, man?
66:26Yes. Do you know who has the number one EPA over the last two weeks among all quarterbacks?
66:31Jameis Winston. Oh, who'd he play? Who'd he play this past week?
66:34That's expected points added per play. Who'd he play the last two weeks?
66:37I'm getting just like tired. I don't understand where people are at with Jameis.
66:41Because I've just watched the last two games and he's made more big time throws than I saw for an entire period of football in 2020 and 2021.
66:49All right. Literally. He played Arizona. He played Arizona.
66:5234 games of watching tape of Daniel Jones in those two years.
66:55And he got an overtime game to boost it, too.
66:58Who cares about the overtime game? I think he's going to be good this week.
67:02And then after that, I'm very worried about Jameis.
67:04It wasn't an EPA per play, right? You gave us a total EPA stat?
67:08No, it was just total EPA. Yeah. Okay. So he got an overtime.
67:12He got like more football. So then let's say he was five or six or eight.
67:16It's still better. It's still pretty good. Even if it's not one, it's let's knock it down a couple pegs to five
67:22or whatever you want to take off the overtime here.
67:25But I mean, this is not like I don't know what is going on with what people are thinking.
67:31Forget about that. Which teams are you worried about offensively?
67:33Eagles? Titans? It's just crazy to me. The guy's throwing so many big time throws.
67:37All right. Versus the rest of the field of the NFL.
67:41Also, he got lucky because there was a bogus pass interference call.
67:44He threw an interception in the end zone. They called a stupid pass interference on the commanders.
67:49Gave the Giants a second chance and then threw another touchdown.
67:52There's bad calls every week. You think he's the only one that benefited from that?
67:56That was an interception in the end zone that ended up being a touchdown for them.
68:00I've just seen a lot of good throws. 47 drawbacks per game over the past two games.
68:05Right. But I think you've got to factor in schedule.
68:08Which is not sustainable. You're right, Jacob. But it's also not sustainable than run the football.
68:12They were averaging 2.8 yards per carry. How long is their right tackle?
68:16That's why I'm worried. How long is Luminor out?
68:18Bo looked fine in his couple weeks. No, he actually looked fine.
68:22He stinks. I'm going to do a cut up now of Bo after this podcast.
68:26You walked right out of the gate. You and your blue and red colored glasses.
68:30No, this is BS, dude. They threw for 576 and 6 over the last two weeks.
68:34Teams take months to do that. The Eagles aren't going to do that for a full month.
68:39If they played Arizona and Washington, they probably would.
68:42But go ahead. All right. So we won't include.
68:44We're debating on that one. Broncos, Chargers. Where are we at with the Saints?
68:48What? Saints? I love the Saints. What do you mean, what?
68:51Saints? Saints are like the Giants, kind of. But they just played the Vikings.
68:55They'll be fine. What do you mean? They looked awful against the Falcons, too.
68:59Yeah, but yeah. It's back-to-back weeks. The line's more injured.
69:02People are starting to figure out Shuck. Throw a ton.
69:04I don't know. I'm good with this. I'm nervous about the Saints.
69:08Yeah, I'm very nervous. We'll see on that. Their pass protection has gotten a lot worse.
69:12And Shuck does not look that good. Let's be honest.
69:15We were way over our skis with him. I don't agree.
69:18I mean, I'm completely throwing out the Minnesota. All right.
69:21Okay. Throw it out. Shuck requires some nuance. To talk about Shuck, I don't think Shuck's not that good is fair.
69:27I think we're running into the worst set of circumstances for Shuck in which he can look really bad.
69:32And that's where we're at. And that's why I'm nervous.
69:35But I think— It could be five going into last week.
69:38It could be six maybe. Are you talking about fantasy points?
69:41Yeah. Going into week five. Yeah. Because he throws a ton.
69:44He throws a ton. Keep an eye on them.
69:46Keep an eye on the Saints. I'm nervous about the Saints a little bit.
69:50Yep. For fantasy, though, it's set up so well because it's just like two, sometimes three, guys.
69:55And they just pass like crazy. So it's kind of similar to the Giants a little bit.
70:00I just have more confidence in Kellen Moore and Shuck than I do the Giants.
70:04I'm nervous about the Cardinals. I think if the Giants, if Jameis doesn't play well, that it does go to JJ McCarthy.
70:10Yeah. If it goes to JJ, I change everything that I'm thinking of because I don't know what that will look like.
70:16And it could be really bad. And it's more like— Don't you think it will at some point?
70:21They traded for it. I can't imagine why it would.
70:24They've only been in these two games because of Jameis' last two weeks.
70:27And they're in first place. Like, they're not going to— I know.
70:31I'm just saying like a couple of— No, but it could.
70:34Jacob's right. Offschedule. Rams, Broncos, Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams, Chiefs coming up.
70:37Cardinals is a good one. Dolphins, obviously. Dolphins suck, yeah.
70:40You abandon ship on any dolphin you got. Even Willis is not living up to that.
70:44Well, Ollie Gordon is a big deal right now.
70:47I wouldn't abandon ship on him, but I'd sell high on Ollie Gordon.
70:50Yeah, I would sell high on that for sure.
70:53And that would be abandoning ship if you're selling high.
70:56So you pretty much agreed with me on that.
70:58No, because I'm not even rostering. I don't think you have to roster any dolphins except for Ollie Gordon.
71:03Obviously, you're not cutting Ollie Gordon if you spent all that FAB on.
71:07Him. But— I'm going to throw the Colts in here.
71:10Ooh. Oh, yeah. All right. Interesting. Yeah, they're pathetic.
71:12They're 30th in explosive play rate. Like, all they really can do is run Jonathan Taylor, and defenses have pretty much figured
71:18it out that, like, Jones is toast right now.
71:21Oh, no, no, no. Maybe he gets better. It's never his fault.
71:24It's never his fault. There's got to be O-line injuries and stuff going on there.
71:28It's pretty bad. It's never his fault. But, yeah, that's a good one.
71:32Do we put anyone from the North in there?
71:34The AFC North? I feel like no. I don't think you're dead with the Steelers.
71:39I'm still worried about the Browns. I'm still worried about the Jets.
71:42I know that it was awesome this past week for the Jets, and it continues to be really good for Denzel Boston week to week.
71:49But, I mean, it's—Herald Fannin had a 40% catchable target rate this week, or 33% or something like that.
71:54Like, it's—other than Boston, like, nobody's been exempt from the Browns week to week.
71:58It's been all over the place with the accuracy, and they're not throwing down the field other than to Boston.
72:04It's just been really, really bad there. I know it seems wrong because, like, both those teams are overperformed, but, like, I
72:10don't feel like there's clear answers to any of the clear problems that presented themselves to both those teams, and especially with
72:16the Jets if they split the backfield. I think, Garrett Wilson, you're probably mostly safe, but you still can run into games like you had in week four.
72:24But that's fine. Most of the teams are like that.
72:26One more to end the show. Well, Chargers. We can't not talk about Chargers.
72:30I said Chargers earlier. No, Chargers. No, no, no.
72:33I will not talk about the Chargers on this show.
72:36Why? I've just done talking about them. I've wasted too much breath.
72:39Well, we have to say that we feel— Of course.
72:42We have to make a stand. And no, it's not of course.
72:45Like, some people will be like, can they recover this season?
72:48Maybe, but— No, I think it's over. Yeah, there are only five, and their whole team's dead.
72:53There's a lot of season left. They can get healthy.
72:56They could be maybe— They can't get healthy. They can't get that healthy.
72:59I think the biggest issue for me is— And this goes for all of the massive Justin Herbert supporters, and I consider myself one of them.
73:06In the past, when all this crap has happened around him, he's played a hero ball, and he's looked unreal on film.
73:12The opposite is happening now. He's playing really bad.
73:15The worst I've ever seen him in his career, by far.
73:18And so if he's playing bad, and all these injuries are happening around him, there's just no out.
73:23It feels like there's no out for this team.
73:26Yeah. No, they suck. Last one I was going to bring up.
73:29How surprised would you be if the Raiders just cratered?
73:32The craters. With Kubiak, I'd be pretty surprised. I think if they had offensive line injuries, they could, but I would also be pretty surprised.
73:39They're like a one-man team right now. They run games.
73:41Just Bowers. It's all Bowers. And it is Kirk Cousins.
73:44And Kirk Cousins, who's been better than people think.
73:47That's what the Seahawks were last year, guys. True.
73:49I guess that—well, they ran the ball better than the Raiders are.
73:52Slightly. Yeah. Yeah. But it's a good point. All right.
73:55This is— That's something. That's RoboCop? That is a jacked version of RoboCop.
73:59Okay. Adam, by the way, from the Mailbag show, I found the actor I think you look like.
74:04What the hell is wrong with me in this picture?
74:07That is a weird picture of me, isn't it?
74:09Getting effed up by RoboCop. What do you mean?
74:12I mean, my face looks like I'm wearing a— It looks like I'm wearing an Adam Azer mask.
74:17My arms are huge, which is obviously wrong. I don't like this.
74:20Just to update the crowd for who was wondering, Patrick Fischler is the guy that I was thinking of.
74:25Patrick Fischler is the actor that I had. I don't know who Patrick Fischler is.
74:29No, you got—we were on this email with the listener who pointed this out to us.
74:34Oh, oh. Patrick Fischler. That's the guy I've been thinking about that you look a lot like.
74:39What the hell are you talking about? No, dude, you do.
74:42The eyebrows. No way. That doesn't look anything like Azer.
74:44What, dude? The eyebrows. The 5 o'clock shadow. What do they call it?
74:4810 o'clock shadow. Whatever they call it. They call it 5 o'clock.
74:51No, it's a 12 o'clock shadow. What is a 10 o'clock shadow?
74:55The eyebrows and the hair. Look at this picture of him from Lost, Thomas.
74:59Can I send this to you? Yeah, so like maybe a young version of him, but still it's not quite right.
75:04I feel pretty good about this. What does he play?
75:07He plays a really creepy character. This guy's eyebrows are so intense.
75:11It's really hard to compare anyone to him. No, you got to look at the younger picture.
75:15Go to the Lost one. Type in Patrick Fischler on Lost.
75:18Oh my gosh. This is great. This is really beyond the box.
75:22Right? That's Azer. Look at that first one. On the left, full left.
75:25Yeah, that's Azer to me. Yeah, I don't look anything like that, bro.
75:29Like maybe you're worried that your hair is going to look like that at some point.
75:33That is not my hair. What the heck is that movie that he's in?
75:37He's in old school. It's like the assistant to the...
75:40Yeah. But he also has like a real creepy role in like a horror movie or something.
75:45I feel like he's in a bunch of stuff.
75:47Always is a side character. Usually pretty good. He's in an episode of Curb, I remember him.
75:52Yeah. Yeah. I do remember thinking of someone else.
75:54I think I'm wrong here. All right. Well, thanks for watching and listening, everybody.
