Aaron Rodgers

PositiveProjection9:00

Rodgers has been on fire with three straight games of three touchdowns and is locked in. He faces a top-10 defense in Tampa Bay in week six (fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks), but his recent form is strong enough to warrant a waiver pickup and start consideration.

Insight page

Hunter Henry

NegativeProjection13:00

Henry's role is uncertain depending on A.J. Brown's return status. He has been a fringe option for Drake May but scored a touchdown last week. Six to seven targets are within the realm of possibility, though he is not expected to be hyper-targeted. He faces the Jets in week six, which is not an easy matchup.

Insight page

Jaleel McLaughlin

PositiveRole6:15

McLaughlin is the next running back the Cleveland Browns would turn to if Quencha Judkins or Raheem Sanders cannot play. He represents a tier below Pierce and Lloyd but offers flex-conversation upside if the primary backs are unavailable.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

PositiveMatchup10:15

Winston has back-to-back strong games and faces a favorable matchup in week six against New Orleans. He is worth starting if you are stuck at quarterback.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

NegativeRole7:15

Miller is in the mix for the Saints' backfield, though the status of Alvin Kamara is uncertain. The team may continue to let Miller be the lead rusher, creating a three-way share scenario.

Insight page

Kendrick Bourne

PositiveValue2:29

Bourne is 7% rostered and presents a strong rest-of-season path in an offense built to throw frequently. He has locked into a prominent role with eight targets in week five and two games now with seven or eight targets (weeks one and five), establishing consistent target volume.

Insight page

Kimani Vidal

PositiveRole7:45

Vidal must be picked up given the Chargers' situation. The team is terrible and may feature three running backs sharing the ball, but Vidal is a priority waiver add.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

NegativeMatchup10:45

Cousins does not have a favorable long-term schedule, but short-term for week six he gets Buffalo, which is the best matchup of the three quarterback options discussed. He is coming off a bad game but is expected to remain the starter.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeInjury15:00

Lamar Jackson might play in week six, which could impact the Ravens' defense streaming decision. His status is uncertain and should be monitored.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveValue6:00

Lloyd has a good opportunity and is coming off a strong game against Dallas. At 58% rostered, he is a secondary running back target on waivers with upside if Josh Jacobs' status changes.

Insight page
PositiveValue6:45

Lloyd is on his own tier among waiver-wire running backs because Josh Jacobs' news has not yet broken, creating uncertainty about the backfield hierarchy. He is positioned as a tier-one option alongside Pierce.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeValue4:00

The source dislikes the Cardinals' schedule, noting that five of their next six games are brutal, making Harrison Jr. unlikely to be a rest-of-season roster hold despite his talent.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveRole13:45

Freiermuth has alternated between two awesome games and two to three down games, but he was a key figure for the Steelers in their first game without both Roman Wilson and Michael Pittman. He is a pivot option at tight end for week six.

Insight page

Roschon Johnson

PositiveUsage8:15

Johnson just had five catches as the backup to DeAndre Swift. He is in the flex conversation and could see increased opportunity if Swift fumbles or is injured.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveValue4:51

Marks would be the number-one running back waiver target if available, though he is 72% rostered. He faces a tough matchup in week six but remains the top priority among available backs.

0:00Alright, before we get back to football, I want to tell you about something I learned recently and something that's worth passing along.
0:07It's called We Share Health and it's an alternative to traditional health insurance.
0:11If you don't get health insurance through work and you're stuck paying boatloads for your own health insurance, you should know that health insurance isn't your only option.
0:19More than 1.7 million Americans have chosen an alternative called healthcare sharing and one company I learned about is We Share Health.
0:26They're a non-profit and their members pay up to 60% less than they would for traditional health insurance.
0:31You still get access to a nationwide PPO network with over a million physicians plus unlimited telehealth.
0:37So if you're between jobs or self-employed, this could save you thousands of dollars a year.
0:41And with over a million physicians in the network, there's a good chance your current doctors are already in it.
0:48If this sounds interesting to you, take a few minutes to check it out.

2:01An early look at the waiver wire for Fantasy Week 6 right now on Fantasy Football Today Express.
2:06All right. What's up, everybody? It's Adam Azer and Jamie Eisenberg.
2:09The last two weeks have been pretty crazy on the waiver wire.
2:13Is this the same thing, Jamie, or is this a tamer waiver wire?
2:17It may be slightly tamer, but it's definitely got some teeth to it.
2:21You know, there's a couple of receivers I think that are worth adding that could have some season-long appeal.
2:27There's some injured running backs that we're looking at that have some backups that might be worth a look.
2:32And, you know, some quarterbacks that might be able to, and tight ends that you might be able to start for week
2:39six with four teams on a bye. Would you rather have Kendrick Bourne or Marvin Harrison Jr.
2:44rest of season? Oh, that's a great one. I probably would rather have Kendrick Bourne.
2:49Okay. He is 7% rostered. So who's the headliner here?
2:52I'm torn. And probably by the time we get to Tuesday, I'll have a more definitive answer.
2:57But I'm torn between Kendrick Bourne and Jeremy Bernard.
3:00You know, for Bourne, the path is there for the rest of the season.
3:04For Bernard, it might be a short-term path until Roman Wilson's back, Michael Pittman's back.
3:08So, you know, depending on what you're looking at, I think there's plenty of upside for Bernard based on what we saw in nine targets.
3:16He looked awesome in gaining Aaron Rodgers' trust. I don't know the last time if ever I ever saw Tracy Wolfson on
3:23X say, go pick up a player off the waiver wire in fantasy.
3:27And she just had the Steelers game. And she said, Aaron Rodgers has earned, or Jeremy Bernard has earned the trust of Aaron Rodgers.
3:34So you can definitely see the path there for the short-term.
3:37But, you know, Kendrick Bourne looked pretty awesome in a great matchup against Detroit.
3:41But you know what this offense is going to be.
3:44It's going to be throwing a lot. And he's now locked into a pretty prominent role.
3:49Yeah, he had eight targets. And he has had two games now with seven or eight targets.
3:54Week one and week five. And Marvin Harrison... Do you like better?
3:58I think Bernard... I just really hate the Cardinals' schedule.
4:01You know, five of their next six games are just brutal.
4:04So, I'm not really anticipating that either one is going to be, you know, on my roster rest of season, to be quite honest with you.
4:12So, I'd probably just lean Bernard and assume he's going to be better.
4:16Because Pittman's out and Wilson's out. Roman Wilson was six targets every single week.
4:20So, I think, you know, I'm not expecting nine from Bernard.
4:24But, you know, does that make sense? Yeah, absolutely.
4:27Here's what Tracy posted on X. If there is any pickup I can tell you to make on waivers this week, it's Jeremy Bernard.
4:34Takes a while for Rodgers to trust his receivers.
4:37But from speaking with him and watching from the sideline, he loves, in all caps, this rookie.
4:42And no Pittman and Wilson, potentially. Hashtag Steelers. Hashtag FF.
4:45Cool. Yeah, I love it. And, yeah, like both of them are widely available, which is the really cool thing here.
4:51Obviously, Woody Marks would be, I think, probably number one, even though this week, tough matchup.
4:56But he's 72-ish percent rostered. But would he be number one if he were available?
5:00Yes. Okay. So, yeah, who else? You want to talk about some running backs here?
5:05So, I mean, the Eagles' running back situation is a mess right now.
5:09We don't know when Saquon Barkley is going to return.
5:12Tank Bixby is still on IR. It sounds like the foot injury that Will Shipley sustained in London against Jacksonville is going
5:19to keep him out for a few weeks. I don't know what we're going to add, but Damian Pierce is probably going to be the guy.
5:26He handled all the touches after Shipley's injury. You know, once upon a time, he was a very good fantasy running back.
5:33I don't think he's ever been a very good NFL running back.
5:37But he's the running back I would go get.
5:40Marshawn Lloyd has got a good opportunity and coming off a strong game against Dallas this week.
5:45That's awesome. He's 58% rostered. The Cleveland running backs are a mess right now.
5:49Also, you have both Raheem Sanders. More importantly, obviously, Quencha Judkins banged up.
5:53So, Jaleel McLaughlin is the next running back that they would probably turn to, again, unless they add somebody.
5:59So, there's other running backs you want me to keep going in that position.
6:03No, that's fine. Those are the headliners there. We'll have more on Tuesday.
6:07But this is pretty interesting, right? It's three guys who have an opportunity.
6:11Marks being the best, but having a terrible matchup.
6:13Pierce having, I don't know, average to good matchup.
6:16And then, man, if Quencha Judkins can't get it done for the Cleveland Browns, can Jaleel McLaughlin.
6:21Plus, we don't know that Judkins is out, right?
6:24We don't know that Judkins or Sanders are out.
6:27So, you know, to me, they're sort of tiered.
6:29Like, Pierce is on a different tier. I think Marshawn Lloyd's on a tier by himself because we don't have Josh Jacobs news yet.
6:37And then it's Jaleel McLaughlin. It's Kendra Miller, who, you know, I don't know what the status of Alvin Kamara is, if
6:43they're going to just continue to let Miller be the lead rusher.
6:47You've got to obviously pick up Kamani Vidal at this point with what's going on there with the Chargers.
6:53Just, you know, terrible team and, you know, might be three guys sharing the ball there.
6:58TyJ Spears with nine catches. Can't overlook that, you know, and just PPR opportunity there.
7:02And then Roshon Johnson just had five catches. So, you know, as the backup to DeAndre Swift, who's a fumble away, you know, he's also in the mix.
7:11So you are going to find some guys that could be in the flex conversation, I think, at running back this week.
7:17Yeah, I think it's rare to find that many guys on waiver wire that you could theoretically start at the running back position.
7:24All right, we'll take a break and get to some more players on the waiver wire.
7:29How about quarterbacks when we come back on FFT Express?
7:32A few weeks ago, a neighbor down the street had someone walk right up onto their porch in the middle of the
7:39night, and it was a massive wake-up call. It made me realize that standard cameras are only good for replaying a crime after it happens.
7:46They don't actually stop someone from getting to your front door.
7:50That's the exact reason I switched to SimpliSafe. It isn't just about protecting my valuables.
7:54It's about making sure my home remains a safe sanctuary for my family.
7:58SimpliSafe is built to stop threats before they ever start.

8:08In under 30 seconds, that agent can talk directly through the camera to warn off an intruder and call for fast 911 dispatch if necessary.
8:15Having that proactive layer of defense outside my house gives me a level of safety I've never had before.

8:36It lets them know we sent you and really helps support the show.
8:40SimpliSafe, ahead of crime in real time. Jamie, how about quarterbacks now that we're back on FFT Express?
8:45Yeah, I have five guys listed, but three guys I think that are in contention for this week.
8:51And I'm, again, torn on who should be number one matchup, long-term, short-term, week six scenarios versus the rest of season.
8:57So you obviously have to pick up Aaron Rodgers at this point.
9:01You know, three straight games of three touchdowns. He's playing fantastic.
9:04Not the easiest matchup in week six against Tampa Bay.
9:07They're top 10 in terms of fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks.
9:11But Rodgers has just been on fire right now.
9:14Two division games against Cincinnati and Cleveland. Then he comes out and does this against Indianapolis.
9:19But he's just locked in. Jameis Winston, back-to-back strong games for him.
9:22Great matchup this week. Our favorable matchup this week again against New Orleans.
9:26I think it's worth starting him if you're stuck at quarterback.
9:30And then I don't love the long-term schedule for Kirk Cousins, but I think short-term for week six, as long as he's
9:36still the starter, which I think he's going to be, he gets Buffalo, which is the best matchup, I think, of all three of these quarterbacks.
9:44But they're all coming into this either good season for Cousins off a bad game or the other two guys coming off strong games.
9:51You can make cases for them to all be starters for this week.
9:55And you're down Jared Goff, Joe Burrow, Malik Willis, and Kyler Murray in terms of needing a quarterback.
10:01We're also down some tight ends. Not the most exciting fantasy tight ends on by this week, but who are the tight
10:08ends to add on the waiver wire? Yeah, again, only have a list of three.
10:12Brent Strange, Hunter Henry, and Pat Friarimuth. Strange has been good now for back-to-back games.
10:17I thought he got the Bengals bump in week four, but he was really good against the Eagles in week five.
10:23And when you're starting to look at this Jaguars passing attack, you know, oh yeah, all these mouths defeat.
10:29Well, it's Parker Washington and then figure out the rest.
10:32And right now the rest is Brent Strange for two straight games.
10:35So he's got to be in consideration as a streaming option for the time being.
10:40Hunter Henry, you know, look, we don't know if A.J.
10:43Brown returns this week. He might. But the way that he's been sort of this fringe option for Drake May and last
10:50week scores a touchdown, you know, I don't think you're going to get like a hyper-targeted game for him.
10:55But, you know, six, seven targets I think is within the realm of possibility.
11:00He could obviously score this week against the Jets.
11:02Not an easy matchup as we've seen. And then Pat Fryermuth has just kind of been two awesome games, two, three down games.
11:09But, you know, a key figure here for the Steelers in the first game without both Roman Wilson and Michael Pittman, he comes through.
11:17So another guy you can pivot to this week and maybe start.
11:20TSTs? So my favorite by far is the Chiefs taking on the Chargers.
11:24That team is just completely decimated right now, as we know.
11:27And they're coming off a bye. After that, it's kind of a mixed bag.
11:32I have the Colts just because the Titans' offense has been so bad.
11:36And then the 49ers taking on the Commanders. You make case of the Browns still, but they're pretty beat up defensively.
11:42And the Ravens obviously looked a lot better than I think a lot of people thought with Tyler Huntley against the Falcons.
11:49So I don't think the Browns are the slam dunk.
11:52So the Chiefs one, Colts two, 49ers three for me.
11:55Yeah, Lamar Jackson might play too. So keep that in mind if you're putting in a bid for the Cleveland Browns.
12:01And then, I don't know, maybe the Ravens. Well, how rostered are the Ravens?
12:05It's probably pretty rostered, right? The Ravens? Yeah. I think are too rostered.
12:09Okay. All right. Well, we'll have a lot more for you on Tuesday's show.
12:14I'm so curious now. I've got to find this out.
12:17The Ravens DST, they're rostered in 67% of leagues.
12:19So, yeah, they haven't really been that good, quite frankly.
12:22No. But the Browns have been a pretty good matchup.
12:25All right. We'll talk to you tomorrow with the waiver wire with Dave and Jamie on Fantasy Football Today.
12:31See ya. Podcasts.
