Aaron Rodgers

PositiveMatchup2:44

Rodgers is a viable starting option in Week 5 and can be used in Week 6 against the Buccaneers, Week 7 against the Saints, and Week 8 against the Browns; the source notes Rodgers has looked pretty good this year, supporting his streaming appeal across multiple weeks.

Insight page
PositiveProjection3:15

Has looked pretty good this year; slam-dunk must-start QB option for Week 5 waiver wire with favorable schedule: Buccaneers Week 6, Saints Week 7, Browns Week 8.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveProjection10:10

Antonio Williams is a stash candidate for Week 5 if Terry McLaurin and/or Stefan Diggs are out; he received 8 targets last week when Diggs played and McLaurin didn't, showing good volume with Jaden Daniels, and could be a low-end number two receiver if both top receivers are unavailable. However, once Commanders receivers get healthy, his long-term value is questionable.

Insight page

Austin Ekeler

PositiveProjection6:21

Looked good last week; 12% rostered. Faces Giants Week 5 and 49ers Week 6. Year Up United's prefers carrying Ekeler over Chris Brooks if not starting him.

Insight page

Chris Brooks

PositiveSleeper5:27

Sneaky stash at RB; available in 90% of CBS Sports leagues. Started for Packers last week, led RBs in snaps before injury. Has shot to play Week 5 vs. Chicago. Favorable schedule post-injury: Dallas Week 6, Detroit Week 7, Carolina Week 8. Josh Jacobs' return timeline unclear, making Brooks a potential breakout candidate.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveInjury8:30

Status uncertain; duration of absence unknown; his availability significantly impacts target distribution for Bills receivers (Shakir, Coleman, Wilson).

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeInjury11:52

Jamar Chase practiced today but remains in the concussion protocol; his status for Week 5 is uncertain.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

PositiveMatchup2:44

Winston is a viable starting option in Week 5 and can be used again in Week 6 when Tampa Bay faces the Saints, a matchup that presents streaming appeal for the quarterback position.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup3:06

Listed as a slam-dunk must-start QB option for Week 5 waiver wire; faces Saints in Week 6.

Insight page

Jared Goff

NegativeProjection0:00

Mentioned as a starting-caliber QB option; context suggests he's a reliable starter but not a standout waiver wire target in Week 5.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeInjury5:50

Return timeline unclear; uncertainty around his availability creates opportunity for Chris Brooks to get carries in Packers backfield.

Insight page
NegativeValue6:03

89% rostered; mentioned as a reference point for shallow league availability check.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveValue4:15

Already rostered in 62% of leagues but worth picking up if available. Can reliably get double-digit PPR points; faces Broncos Week 5 and Chiefs Week 6. When Chargers trail, Mitchell gets significant field time, as evidenced by recent usage.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

NegativeMatchup9:01

Matchup-dependent; source is worried about the coverage he would draw if DJ Moore is out, but likes the matchup if Moore plays because Coleman would avoid Trent McDuffie.

Insight page
PositiveRole10:01

Keon Coleman is limited in practice and is recommended for full PPR leagues as a potential number three receiver option this week.

Insight page

Khalil Shakir

PositiveRole9:00

Mostly a slot receiver with strong rapport with Josh Allen; positioned to potentially get the most targets among Bills pass catchers; had over 100 yards and two scores against Rams two years ago in similar situation.

Insight page
PositiveProjection9:28

Shakir is a slot receiver with strong rapport with Josh Allen who could end up getting the most targets of all Bills pass catchers; he had over 100 yards against the Rams two years ago and is recommended as a potential number three receiver this week despite DJ Moore's possible return.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

PositiveMatchup2:44

Cousins is a viable starting option in Week 5 and can be used again in Week 6 when Minnesota faces the Bills, providing streaming value for the quarterback position.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup3:10

Slam-dunk must-start QB option for Week 5 waiver wire; faces Bills in Week 6.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveProjection5:35

Despite poor fantasy performance through two games (under 17 rushing yards per game), Murray has favorable playoff matchups post-bye: Indianapolis, Detroit, and Buffalo. Should have Justin Jefferson back after Week 5 bye, which could unlock his dual-threat upside. May be worth stashing if roster spot available.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeRole5:52

Packers RB; Year Up United's indicates limited confidence in his fantasy upside compared to Chris Brooks as a stash option.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeInjury8:44

Out for a few weeks; mentioned in context of available wide receiver waiver wire options.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

PositiveRole8:30

Identified as potentially the best waiver wire wide receiver option among available names; could be comfortable starting as a number three wide receiver, especially if DJ Moore remains out.

Insight page
PositiveDepth Chart9:53

Roman Wilson has leapfrogged Michael Pittman on the Steelers depth chart and has staying power; recommended as a number three receiver option this week.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeInjury10:17

Stefan Diggs looks like he might play in Week 5 despite not practicing; Commanders beat reporters are cautiously optimistic about his availability.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeInjury12:00

Tee Higgins' status for Week 5 against Miami is uncertain; it's still unknown if he'll be able to play.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

NegativeInjury10:10

Terry McLaurin doesn't look like he's going to play in Week 5; his return timeline is uncertain.

Insight page

Tyreek Hill

PositiveValue8:08

At 56% rostered on CBS Sports and lower on other sites; recommended stash candidate; source prefers stashing him over Chris Brooks to monitor news over the next five days.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

NegativeValue6:33

Giants backup RB mentioned as a potential waiver wire option alongside Najee Harrison.

Insight page

Will Shipley

NegativeValue5:05

Eagles RB at 62% roster rate; makes the cut as a stash option. Faces tough Jaguars matchup Week 5, but Carolina in Week 6 is more favorable.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeValue6:06

84% rostered; mentioned as a reference point for shallow league availability check.

0:00Alright, before we get back to football, I want to tell you about something I learned recently and something that's worth passing along.
0:07It's called We Share Health and it's an alternative to traditional health insurance.
0:11If you don't get health insurance through work and you're stuck paying boatloads for your own health insurance, you should know that health insurance isn't your only option.
0:20More than 1.7 million Americans have chosen an alternative called healthcare sharing and one company I learned about is We Share Health.
0:26They're a non-profit and their members pay up to 60% less than they would for traditional health insurance.
0:32You still get access to a nationwide PPO network with over a million physicians plus unlimited telehealth.
0:37So if you're between jobs or self-employed, this could save you thousands of dollars a year.
0:42And with over a million physicians in the network, there's a good chance your current doctors are already in it.
0:48If this sounds interesting to you, take a few minutes to check it out.
0:52Call 1-888-WESHARE for a free quote. That's 1-888-WESHARE or check them out at WeShareHealth.org.
0:57As a young adult, finding the right path to your future can feel overwhelming.

1:28Apply to Year Up United today and take the first step toward achieving the career you want.
1:34Visit yearup.org to learn more. Four teams on by in Week 6.
1:37Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami, and Minnesota. So let's beat the waiver wire while we can.
1:42I'm Adam Azer with Dave Richard. We're going to give you the advice on who to pick up for Week 6 and
1:48beyond, but also some guys that can help you here in Week 5.
1:52Dave Richard, who is the best player or players to stash?
1:56I love it when I can recommend a DST that's on by because everybody's dropping them.
2:01Everybody who misses this video won't even have a thought to pick up the Chiefs DST, but they've got the Chargers in Week 6.
2:08The Chargers have allowed at least 13 fantasy points to three of the four defenses that they faced.
2:14I think it'll be four out of five after Week 5.
2:17Broncos are going to be a good start. So I kind of like Kansas City as a great stash going into Week 6.
2:24You can make the move on Saturday afternoon. All the schlubs in your league, they've already dropped them and moved on from them.
2:31Go pick up the Chiefs DST. Pause the video now and go pick up the Chiefs DST and then come back because
2:38we've got a bunch more names to tell you about.
2:41Like who, Dave? How about we go to the quarterbacks?
2:44What do you think? I think you could get away with starting Jameis Winston this week.
2:49I think you could get away with starting Kirk Cousins this week.
2:52And I think you could get away with starting Aaron Rodgers this week.
2:56And I think you could use all three next week as well.
3:00If you've got Joe Burrow, if you've got Jared Goff, you're starting Kyler Murray for some weird reason.
3:06Those three QBs are good replacement options. Jameis has the Saints in Week 6.
3:10Kirk Cousins has the Bills in Week 6. Aaron Rodgers has the Bucks in Week 6, the Saints in Week 7, and the Browns in Week 8.
3:18And dare I say, Aaron Rodgers has looked pretty good this year.
3:22So these are quarterbacks that I would say are slam dunk must-start types, but they're all kind of on the fringe of a borderline starter for Week 5.
3:31And they're probably going to be in that same range moving forward too.
3:35And I want to make a point about Kyler Murray because I know he hasn't been good for fantasy and he hasn't
3:41run for more than 17 yards in a game yet.
3:44He's only played two games and both of them were without Justin Jefferson or with Jefferson playing almost zero snaps.
3:50So they get New Orleans this week, hopefully with Jefferson, and then a bye.
3:55It's hard for me to tell you to start him and to stash him, whatever.
3:59I just want to point out with Kyler, Indianapolis at Detroit and Buffalo, the three games after the bye.
4:05So that's a phenomenal... And he'll have Jefferson unless Jefferson gets hurt this week.
4:10So he may not be the worst player to stash too if you have the roster spot.
4:15All right, running backs, Dave. Last week you told us to pick up Keaton Mitchell and he was probably the best running
4:21back for them in a 62% roster or something like that.
4:25So yeah, I'm sure he can bang that drum again.
4:28Yeah, but he's already rostered in 62% of leagues.
4:31If he's out there, pick him up. I don't know if he's like a super high upside fantasy running back, but any
4:37running back that can get you in the door for double-digit PPR points is absolutely worth stashing.
4:43So you can look for him. He's got the Broncos this week, the Chiefs next week, and you might look and think
4:49of the Chiefs as a bad matchup. When the Chargers are trailing, this dude's going to be on the field a lot,
4:56and we saw that as recently as last week.
4:59How about those Eagles running backs? It's Will Shipley, 62% roster just like Keaton Mitchell, and then Damian Pierce.
5:05I don't know if I'm buying into it, but as far as stashes go, they would make the cut.
5:11And if you desperately need somebody in week five and week six, Will Shipley, for what it's worth, Jaguars this week, tough matchup.
5:18I admit that's going to be rough. Carolina in week six might not be as bad.
5:23But the one that I'm stashing, this is a sneaky stash at running back, Adam.
5:27Okay. He is available in 90% of CBS Sports Leagues.
5:30Chris Brooks of the Packers. He started for Green Bay last week.
5:34He got hurt, led running backs in snaps in the first quarter.
5:38It sounds like he's got a shot to play this week against Chicago.
5:42Definitely would have a shot then if he misses this week, he'd heal up.
5:46Dallas in week six, Detroit in week seven, Carolina in week eight.
5:50We don't know when Josh Jacobs is coming back.
5:52I think we know what we're getting with Marshawn Lloyd and Caleb Johnson.
5:56I think Brooks can end up being a sneaky running back to put on your bench and just see what happens.
6:03Sure. The next few weeks. Josh Jacobs, 89% rostered.
6:06Zach Charbonnet, 84% rostered. So in the shallowest of leagues, take a look and see if they are available for you.
6:12And we'll take a break. Yeah. I was just going to name a couple of other running backs.
6:17Yeah. I mean, maybe people need running backs. I don't know.
6:21It's fantasy football. Everybody's getting hurt. Austin Eckler looked good last week.
6:25Giants this week, 49ers next week, 12% rostered. If you're not going to start them, I'd rather carry Brooks.
6:30And then the two giants backups, Najee Harrison, Tyrone Tracy.
6:33It looks like Cam Scadaboo is going to play.
6:36But in the event that this limited non-contact jersey that he's wearing in practice somehow keeps him out, you're going to make a beeline for Najee.
6:44And he's out there in almost 85% of CBS leagues.
6:47Yeah, that's a good point. All right. All right.
6:50Let's take a break here from running backs. We'll go to wide receivers and we'll be right back after this on Fantasy Football Today.
6:57If you've ever opened the fridge at the end of a long day and thought, okay, what am I supposed to make for dinner?
7:05You're not alone. During football season, when my schedule is packed, I love having good protein already waiting for me in the freezer.
7:12Butcher Box delivers 100% grass-fed beef, organic chicken, wild-caught seafood, and more.
7:15All sourced to standards they can actually tell you about.
7:19They've already done the research and made the tough sourcing decisions.
7:22So all you have to do is decide what's for dinner.
7:25I like that I can customize every box around the protein I actually want to keep stocked.
7:31Whether I'm making a quick dinner after a long day or having people over, it's nice knowing I've already got quality meat ready to go.
7:38And it can save you from that last-minute trip to the store or ordering takeout.
7:43If you're looking for an easier way to get great meals on the table, give Butcher Box a try.
7:49Go to butcherbox.com slash FFT to get $20 off your first box.
7:52Plus, chicken breast in every box for life or filet or New York strips for a year with free shipping always.
7:59That's butcherbox.com slash FFT. Again, that's butcherbox.com slash FFT.
8:02Be sure to use our link so they know we sent you.
8:05We are back. And Dave, wide receivers, there's so many of them that are rostered in like half of our leagues.
8:12Who's the best one to go get? Double check for Tyreek Hill first and foremost.
8:16He's at 56% on CBS Sports. He's lower on other sites.
8:20But stash him if you can too. If you had to stash him or Chris Brooks, for example, I think I'd rather
8:26stash Tyreek and just see what the news is over the next five days or so.
8:31Plus, not everybody's going to be going crazy to stash Chris Brooks, let's face it.
8:36But Tyreek Hill is out there. And then I'm just going to give you some names.
8:41Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Roman Wilson, Keenan Allen. They're all around.
8:44Michael Pittman's out for a few weeks. So I don't know.
8:48I think maybe Roman Wilson is the best one.
8:50We don't know how long DJ Moore is going to be out.
8:54And you might feel comfortable starting Roman Wilson as a number three wide receiver.
8:58But if there's no DJ Moore, I'm going to want those receivers from Buffalo this week.
9:03And then also moving forward for however long that DJ Moore's out.
9:07I prefer Shakir over Keon Coleman. I'm a little bit worried about the matchup Keon Coleman would draw if DJ Moore were out.
9:14Now, if DJ Moore plays, I actually like the matchup for Keon Coleman because he'll be away from Trent McDuffie.
9:20In theory, that's how it will be. But Khalil Shakir, mostly a slot receiver, a guy that Josh Allen has just tons of rapport with.
9:28I think that he's the one that could end up getting the most targets of all the Bills pass catchers, just as
9:35he did when they played against the Rams two years ago, had over 100 yards in that game.
9:40I believe he scored two. Different situation, sort of, because DJ Moore, if he plays, obviously that makes an impact.
9:46But Khalil Shakir is somebody that I would double check for and maybe even consider as a number three receiver this week.
9:53Same thing with Roman Wilson. And Roman Wilson does have some staying power because I think he's leapfrogged Michael Pittman on the depth chart there in Pittsburgh.
10:01And then Keon and Allen limited in practice. He's somebody that I think fantasy managers in full PPR leagues might gravitate toward as a number three receiver.
10:10I've got two other names for you. Antonio Williams with the commanders.
10:13Terry McLaurin doesn't look like he's going to play in week five.
10:17I don't know when he's coming back. Stefan Diggs looks like he might play.
10:21He did not practice. He did not practice today.
10:24The commanders beat reporters seem cautiously optimistic, very cautiously optimistic that he'll play.
10:28If both those guys are out, I'm going to love Antonio Williams as maybe even like a low end number two fantasy receiver.
10:35Because we saw last week eight targets. That was a game where Diggs played.
10:39McLaurin didn't play. Got good volume. We saw him connect with Jaden Daniels back in week one.
10:44And there's some goodness to his game. And he's not somebody that I would necessarily be afraid to pick up and just carry up to Sunday morning.
10:53And if we learn on Sunday morning that McLaurin ends up playing and Diggs ends up playing, then yeah, of course, you're not going to use Williams.
11:01You might even cut Williams. But if one of those guys are out, this matchup is favorable.
11:06It wouldn't surprise me if Antonio Williams would be worth possibly using this week.
11:11I would much rather carry the Bills wide receivers, Roman Wilson, probably Keenan Allen moving forward as well.
11:16Because once those commanders receivers get healthy, I don't know if Antonio Williams is going to be helpful.
11:22And then there's one other guy I need to tell you about.
11:25Homer Simpson's favorite player, Dante Myers. And I say that because Dante is spelled D-O-H like no.
11:31If there's no T. Higgins and no Jamar Chase, this is the number one receiver for Cincinnati.
11:36He's fast. He's quick. He can line up anywhere.
11:39He's got almost a 70% catch rate. He's got a low A dot.
11:43But he's averaging about 12 yards per catch because he leads the Bengals in yards after catch per reception.
11:48And he's got a 25% explosive play rate. I am very intrigued by Dante Myers, but there is no long-term with him.
11:55He is definitely more of a week five play if one of the Bengals wide receivers, Chaser Higgins, misses the game against Miami.
12:02If there was more of a long-term prognosis and maybe Higgins was out for a while or Jamar Chase was out for
12:09a while, I'd be much more interested in Dante Myers.
12:12Okay. Jamar Chase did practice today. He's still in the concussion protocol, though.
12:16See Higgins. Still, we don't know if he's going to be able to play.
12:20So it's very interesting. And I read a quote on this morning's show about Dante Myers from Zach Taylor, their head coach, saying just how explosive he is.
12:29Yes. Tight ends. Stats bear it out. TJ Hawkinson is the top tight end, but he's already rostered in 55% of leagues.
12:36He was second on our tight end stash list last week.
12:39So pay attention to this list. Mike Kosicki is right behind him.
12:43He's 64% rostered. So, okay, you might not be able to get Hawkinson.
12:47You might not be able to get Kosicki. Who do you go after?
12:51I would look to Tyler Higby. And I know there's a chance that Colby Parkinson plays, but Higby's out there in 80% of CBS leagues.
12:58He and Stafford have connected for a long time.
13:01Figures to be a high-scoring game against Buffalo. That Bills defense just is not very good.
13:06And I think Tyler Higby could end up getting, I don't know, a floor of four for 65 for 50.
13:12Somewhere in there. It's not a huge number in full PPR or half PPR.
13:16That's the floor. And the ceiling could be a touchdown plus maybe 20 yards on top of it.
13:22Higby would be the tight end that I would look to if I were looking for someone to replace somebody this week.
13:29And then potentially next week as well with the Rams going up against Arizona should be another game where they can just do whatever they want.
13:37And if Higby is the top tight end there, then he can be somebody that helps you.
13:42Maybe keep that name in mind if you're rolling with Hawkinson as your starter this week.
13:47If you're rolling with Laporta as your starter this week.
13:50Because those guys aren't playing in week six. Anyone else, Dave?
13:53Is that it? I think we're good. If you want to double back to the DSTs, the Chiefs are my favorite.
14:00The Colts, the Panthers. Panthers, they've got some decent matchups coming up in week six.
14:04Panthers actually, Philadelphia, Tampa, Green Bay, week six, seven, and eight.
14:08All three of them have yielded double-digit fantasy points to DSTs in three of their four games.
14:13Oh, okay. And so if Carolina's going to get a little bit healthier coming out of the bye, I know their top corners won't be playing.
14:21But maybe there's something there where the Panthers could be a bye week DST.
14:25If you can't get the Chiefs, you could always go with the Panthers.
14:29I saw someone drop Bryce Young in one of my leagues.
14:33I'm going to stash him if I can pick him up.
14:36Could be a mistake. Yeah, yeah. I don't think there's any could about it.
14:40That is a mistake. Yeah, I know. I get it.
14:43You know, you've got to make these tough calls during the bye weeks.
14:47So I'm sure whoever did that was not happy about it.
14:51All right. We'll talk to you tomorrow on Fantasy Football Today.
14:54Thanks so much for watching and listening. See you.
14:57See you. Mount Podcasts.
