Jacoby Brissett is the number one quarterback to add for Week 5, as he faces the Lions, a defense that has allowed success to almost every quarterback this season.

Jaylen Wright

PositiveSleeper3:53

Jalen Wright is a recommended stash on benches for potential flex production, even with Ollie Gordon splitting time in the Dolphins backfield.

Keaton Mitchell should be rostered following two weeks of quality production and reports that Mike McDaniel is pushing him more than Amari and Hampton, as evidenced by his increased usage in Week 4.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeInjury8:41

Keenan Allen is worth a look if healthy, despite missing time with a groin injury and a poor team performance against the Colts.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

NegativeUsage13:51

Fantasy managers should hold Kenyan Sadiq despite a poor Week 4 performance, as the Jets ran an abnormally low number of plays (32), which skewed his target rate.

Insight page

PositiveBreakout6:50

Keon Coleman is a priority add over Khalil Shakir, as he has stepped up in games where DJ Moore was banged up and looks great.

NegativeUsage12:16

Tyler Higbee is a streaming candidate at tight end, having seen decent usage in the first game without Terrence Ferguson and Colby Parkinson.

Insight page

Tyler Huntley

NegativeDepth Chart11:41

Insight page

Will Shipley

PositiveDepth Chart3:22

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeDepth Chart1:46

Zach Charbonnet remains the best Seahawks running back rest of season, though the backfield could become a three-headed monster if the team signs Joe Mixon or Jadarian Price returns to health.

0:21Terms and conditions apply. An early look at the Waiver Wire for Week 5 right now on FFT Express.
0:26Yes, sir. We got some names for you. Jamie's here.
0:29I'm Adam. Let's rock and roll. Jamie, who's the best player to get on waivers this week?
0:34The best player to get? Wow. I don't know if there is.
0:37Emanuel Wilson. I mean, he's still available in 36% of our leagues.
0:41I'm going to guess he's available in several more on other sites.
0:44So he's a must-add. I mean, let's see what happens with this Joe Mixon story of him visiting Seattle and when Zach
0:50Charbonnet is going to exactly come back to the field.
0:53But if Emanuel Wilson starts against the 49ers in Week 5, once again, he is a must-start running back.
0:58All right. Let's check how rostered he is in Sleeper just to give that context.
1:0262% on Sleeper. Okay. And do you think who's the best Seahawks running back rest of season?
1:07I'm going to still say Zach Charbonnet, but look, we could have in some capacity a three-headed monster by the end of
1:13the season, whether it's they sign Mixon or Jadarian Price is healthy.
1:16I hope that's the case because I don't want to see Joe Mixon taking away from what some of these younger players
1:23can do and maybe we see who's the running back of the future for Seattle here.
1:27But I think it's going to get messy as the season goes on.
1:31Zach Charbonnet, 82% rostered in CBS League, 65% rostered in Sleeper Leagues, probably around that in ESPN and Yahoo Leagues.
1:36Okay. How about other running backs? I want to start with that position.
1:40Sure. Keaton Mitchell, obviously, two straight weeks of quality production.
1:43I saw at least one report. I don't know how.
1:45I didn't see who exactly sent it, but it would make some sense that the Chargers are...
1:50Mike McDaniel at least is pushing Keaton Mitchell a little bit more than Amari and Hampton, and we saw more so play
1:56out in week four than we did in week three.
1:59So Mitchell should be rostered. We have a bad injury situation going on in Philadelphia with both Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby banged up.
2:06It's Will Shipley's the next man up. It's Jacksonville.
2:08He's at best of flex, but if he does get that starting opportunity, you should have him rostered.
2:13Who knows what's going on with the Washington backfield, so Austin Eckler should be rostered, I think, in a lot more leagues than 4%.
2:20So he should be picked up wherever available because Rashad White may or may not have had shoulder surgery.
2:25I don't think that's actually been confirmed anywhere, but probably a legitimate situation to keep an eye on there.
2:30Maybe a few weeks that he's going to miss some time.
2:33And then I still would pick up Jalen Wright.
2:36I know Ollie Gordon had the big game for the Dolphins, but they were splitting plenty of time evenly.
2:41Gordon had the big run. Jalen Wright's 57% rostered.
2:44It's not a bad idea to let waivers go through a couple times.
2:47And if you want to just stash Jalen Wright on your bench, he can maybe give you some flexed performances as well.
2:53Wide receivers. Is the best wide receiver to get one who's currently not on an NFL roster?
2:58I think that's the best long-term play. There's a lot of good short-term options, but the best long-term play is probably just
3:04to pick up Tyreek Hill and see what happens with him signing.
3:08There was a lot of reports following the injuries in Kansas City yesterday that that's the most likely marriage.
3:13But, you know, Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Tyreek Hill said that they've been in contact with teams.
3:18The timeline seems to fall in line with Tyreek Hill posting videos of him seemingly looking okay.
3:23If he does sign in Kansas City, that gives him another week to get acclimated to or get re-acclimated to, you know,
3:29that organization and, you know, show how healthy he is.
3:32But they may be without one receiver, if not two.
3:34We know Tyquan Thornton's going to miss some time.
3:37We don't know how long Rashi Rice is going to be out with a hamstring injury.
3:41So Tyreek Hill long-term. But then you got the two guys in Cincinnati.
3:45Myers would be the preferred option after the game that he just had against Jacksonville.
3:49And then Mitchell Tinsley, I think in deeper leagues, both guys are only 1% rostered.
3:53If you don't have Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins, both were injured in the game against Jacksonville.
3:58Clearly Joe Burrow is still going to throw. I know it's the Dolphins.
4:02They can run all over them if they want to.
4:04But I'm going to pick up a Bengals receiver again.
4:07Myers, Dante Myers being the one that I look at first.
4:10The two guys in Buffalo should be added. Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir.
4:14I know, I think I agreed. I don't know if I said it, but I think I agreed that Khalil Shakir over Keon Coleman.
4:20I'm going to flip that and take Keon Coleman first over Shakir.
4:24Coleman looks great right now. And you know, it's two games so far this season where DJ Moore has been banged up and Keon Coleman stepped up.
4:31So both guys are worth rostering, but Coleman would be the one I would go after first.
4:36Lad McConkey's banged up again. Trey Harris would be the guy I'd go get in Los Angeles.
4:40No Patrick Sertan. So they are playing the Broncos this week.
4:44Sertan's probably going to miss time with the ankle injury.
4:46So keep that in mind. You have the guys, excuse me, in Philadelphia.
4:50I guess everybody's get choked up when they talk about the Eagles.
4:53The guys in Philadelphia, Don Tavian Wicks, I know didn't have a good game.
4:57He's one of the shallow league guys, 74% roster.
5:00But Darius Cooper now two touchdowns, three touchdowns in his last three games.
5:03Did have a decent target share. You could also take a flyer on Makai Lemon.
5:07He had six targets season high for him. So we'll see what happens.
5:11The offense is a mess, but something to keep in mind there.
5:14Roman Wilson, deeper leagues, 7% rostered. He's now had two good games for Aaron Rodgers.
5:19Seems to be the preferred number two option there.
5:21And then I would actually go back to, I know it's going to sound gross, but I would go back to still take a look at Keenan Allen.
5:29He missed the game with a groin injury. Obviously it wasn't a great game across the board for the Colts receivers.
5:35If he's healthy, he'll be a factor. Khalif Raymond, I know was a huge letdown.
5:3962% rostered. Not a bad guy to stash on your bench to see what happens when Caleb Williams is back.
5:44Adnight Mitchell's now missed two games with a finger injury.
5:47Prior to that, he had a 12 target game.
5:50He's somebody stashed on your bench. And then don't forget about Malik Washington.
5:53Just giving you about 10, 11 PPR points on a week to week basis.
5:57So receivers pretty deep this week. Roman Wilson has as many targets as Mike Evans, as many targets as a Mecca Buka
6:03just below Jalen Waddle and Parker Washington. Six targets in all four games.
6:07That is 24. We'll be right back with quarterbacks, tight ends, DSTs after this.
6:11How's quarterback looking for week five with a price, Bryce, Bryce Mahomes on by.
6:15Yeah. Two of the best, um, with the, with the way that the season has gone.
6:19Um, for me, Jacoby Brissette would be the number one guy to get.
6:23Didn't have a great game against the Giants, but now it gets the lions.
6:27That's probably going to be the type of game you want Jacoby Brissette for.
6:31And almost every quarterback has had success against the lions so far this season.
6:34So Brissette's top 12 quarterback for me this week.
6:37Um, Kirk Cousins, not an easy matchup going into, uh, New England, but he's just been so good through the start of the season.
6:44Aaron Rodgers, uh, two straight games over 27 fantasy points should have an opportunity to play well this week against the Colts.
6:50Deshaun Watson, you know, two good games so far on the season.
6:53He gets the jets this week. Jameis Winston takes on the commanders.
6:56He's coming off a three touchdown game. So there are some options at quarterback you can look for.
7:01And then in the super flex two quarterback leagues, you've got to go get Tyler Huntley just in case, uh, Lamar Jackson is going to miss some time.
7:09And then Tyson Bajan still 7% rostered. Sounds like he's going to be the starter for the bears.
7:14If Caleb Williams misses week five against the Packers.
7:17Finally, tight ends. Well, actually we have DSTs as well, but tight ends.
7:20Yeah. Tight ends got a couple of interesting names.
7:23Uh, my favorite is going to be Mike is a sec.
7:26If, uh, both Bengals receivers are out, we've seen this in the past when one guy has missed, plus you get their revenge game narrative.
7:33And TJ Hawkinson just had a huge game against the Dolphins.
7:36So their secondary is clearly beatable. Um, I'm going to go with Tyler Higbee next.
7:40Uh, we know that everybody's healthy and we saw the receivers are healthy, but we saw the first game without Terrence Ferguson, Colby Parkinson.
7:47It was a decent game for, for Higbee. A lot of passes for Matthew Stafford, but that seems to be the norm right now.
7:53So I think he could be, could be not a starter, but a streamer.
7:57Um, Hawkinson, if we get news that Jefferson is going to miss the game would be my second favorite option, but sounds
8:03like Jefferson is going to return, uh, coming back from that ankle injury.
8:07So just lower expectations for Hawkinson coming off huge game against Miami Hunter Henry, 62 yards.
8:11I don't know if you're going to get like huge top end production from him, but could be in the streaming conversation.
8:18And I think Brenton strange is worth a look, but he did just play the Bengals similar to the lions.
8:23You get the lines bump. You get the Bengals bump.
8:26The following week is usually not as good. Okay.
8:28And DSTs, uh, just want to check one other guy.
8:31Uh, Kenyan Sadiq is 79% rostered and Jacob just gave a good stat on beyond the box score.
8:36Just for those of you who are wondering what to do with Kenyan Sadiq.
8:40He had a very high first read target rate.
8:43The jets ran the second, I think Jacob said the second fewest plays in the last like 10 or 15 years or something crazy like that.
8:50Uh, they ran 32 plays. So it was just a worst case scenario for the jets.
8:54Maybe give Sadiq another week. Yeah. I have them in the, in the shallow league guys.
8:59Just don't get rid of them. All right. DSTs.
9:01It's a great week for DSTs. Uh, Cowboys get the bucks.
9:04We know that offense is going to struggle with, uh, Jaylon Daniels.
9:08Um, Jaguars get the Eagles. That offense is a mess.
9:10Lane Johnson may not play again. Barkley may not play the Monte Smith.
9:14Dallas Goddard, the Bengals get the dolphins. It's funny that the Bengals are the third favorite choice for me, but the Bengals get the dolphins.
9:21Just because I think the other two guys, other two teams are in such great spots.
9:25The Browns get the jets. Browns defense played amazing so far.
9:28And then the Patriots get the, uh, the Raiders.
9:31I know the Raiders offense is good, but the Patriots decent stash option.
9:35Cause they still don't play the jets or the dolphins that's coming up.
9:38And so you're going to get two good matchups for them with a very good defense.
9:43I still think that fantasy managers can trust and the Raiders get the Patriots by the way, Raiders have been awesome in three or four games.
9:50Yeah. Yeah. It's not a great, I mean, on paper, it's a great matchup.
9:54Patriots give up the fourth most points to DSTs, but it's, you know, I don't think it's gonna be one of our
10:00favorites, but I think just one of the things to keep, we'll talk about this with the Patriots is Seahawks Steelers.
10:06Uh, who they play week three Seahawks Steelers Jaguars Jaguars.
10:09Jaguars and bills, like three really good defenses to start the season.
10:12And then they play a much easier opponent and the offense looks a thousand times better.
10:16Yeah. But I mean, watching that chiefs Raiders game, I think that, I think the Raiders have a good defense.
10:22I really do. I totally agree. Um, and you can make an easy comparison.
10:26Obviously the difference would be Mahomes versus may, but the chiefs lost, you know, pretty big player early in the game.
10:32And that often kind of struggled and that the Patriots are down another wide receiver on top of AJ Brown.
10:37So that's a good call. Yeah. I mean, look, it's not like I'm, I'm rushing to the waiver wire to get the
10:43Raiders, but I think the point I'm not spending a lot on a DST this week cause there are good fallback options.
10:49So save your fab. And that's it for this show.
10:52We'll talk about it for an hour tomorrow on fantasy football today.
10:55Thanks a lot, everybody. Talk to you soon. Podcasts.
