Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeUsage43:54

Ramondre Stevenson's snap share dropped to 36% due to fumbling issues; while he may start, he is unlikely to see the 70-75% snap share seen in the past.

0:00We all know Saturday's game time can get a little messy.
0:03Your crew came over to watch, snacks on the table, drinks in hand, and somebody celebrating like they just won the whole season and beyond.
0:10And when that energy gets going, your walls can end up taking the hit.
0:14Whether it's a big spill or a noticeable scuff, that's where Bayer Ultra Interior Paint comes in.
0:19It adds an extra durable stain-blocking finish that helps your walls hold up for the whole season.
0:24It also delivers outstanding coverage and hide in fewer coats with easy application and a smooth, even finish that goes on clean from the first pass.
0:31Plus, that easy, clean finish helps walls stay looking new longer.
0:34So before the next kickoff, give your space, game-ready defense and coverage that goes the distance.
0:39Bayer Ultra, only at the Home Depot. Fantasy Focus Football Welcome to Fantasy Focus Football.
0:43It is Monday, September 21st. Our Week 2 wrap-up show is upon us.
0:47We have not our normal crew today. It's the great, the venerable Liz Loza is sitting in for Daniel Dopp.
0:53It's Daniel's wife's birthday. So happy birthday to Rosie Dopp and big thanks to Liz for hanging out with us today.
0:59Happy to be here. I've been here since Saturday.
1:01You're a part of the midnight oil right now, too.
1:04I've been up for a little bit. And what a day of football did we have.
1:09Wow. It was. Why are you smiling when you say that?
1:12Because I wasn't smiling at all yesterday. I wasn't smiling, but I did get to experience the war room, which I have yet to do this season.
1:19And that is always an enlivening experience. We had this very high-scoring Week 1 and relatively clean injury slate.
1:25And then Week 2 was like, not so fast.
1:27My friends, as we are going to do every single Monday, we will begin our game-by-game recap.
1:32One of us will take the lead on a game.
1:35The others will fill in any potential missing pieces.
1:38And of course, we start with Liz Loza. And we're going to start with an injury of note in D.C.
1:43Yes. Now there's a buzzer on this, so I have to be rather concise.
1:47If you run like my club. Next game. All right.
1:50So the Commanders-Cowboys matchup. Commanders fell 20-37 at Dallas.
1:53Biggest news, obviously, is that Jaden Daniels was carted off the field with an elbow injury in the last play of the first half.
2:00This is the second elbow injury for him on that same elbow.
2:03This stunk, man. Like the energy completely deflated from the war room, from the field.
2:07He had sadly also rushed for 69 yards up until that point.
2:11It was looking a little vintage. We had seen shades of that in Week 1.
2:15There seemed to be some momentum going on. He had also connected with Stephon Diggs on a four-yard touchdown before exiting.
2:21Let's talk about Diggs for a second. Oh, Adam Schefter also telling us that today's x-ray on the elbow showed no fracture, so that's good news.
2:28I will have to monitor that situation moving forward, but obviously it doesn't feel great.
2:33Neither did his O-line's reaction. I'll leave other people to debate that.
2:36Stephon Diggs, though, a bit of a homecoming, as we discussed at the top of this season.
2:41He accounted for both of the team's touchdowns, actually.
2:43One via the aforementioned Daniels and the other in the second half after Marcus Mariota took over for him.
2:49Proving to be quite an excellent acquisition for the team.
2:52His six targets, however, were tied for the second on the team with Rashad White.
2:56It was Terry McLaurin who actually led the team in looks.
2:59He managed to draw nine, but was not particularly efficient with his opportunities.
3:03Only converted two of those for 50 yards. This is my favorite player in the league, I've decided.
3:08I love Terry McLaurin. Favorite player in the league.
3:10Very apprehensive about his fantasy prospects moving forward, though.
3:13Two does start the season. It's not great. Not great.
3:16Should we move to the Cowboy side of the ball?
3:19Of all the hype around him, too, in the offseason.
3:21I know, after getting paid at the beginning of last season, too.
3:25The only thing I'll say before we move on from the commanders is that, not so fast on giving this job to Ja'Cory Kroski Merritt, in the backfield.
3:33He decided at snap edge for Rashad White, 53.7 to 34.3 for Kroski, Merritt.
3:37And more importantly, six targets, six catches for Rashad White.
3:40Just one target, which is not an atypical number for Ja'Cory, Kroski, Merritt, but wasn't efficient enough as a runner.
3:45Not going to see enough volume in the passing game.
3:48More than anything, this feels like a stay-await backfield.
3:51Yeah, I agree. He had six catches, did Rashad White.
3:54JCM ran seven routes. Not great. Not going to cut a big change from week one, so.
3:58I know you and I were both big on Bill coming into this week, especially with the matchup.
4:04Can we talk about the Cowboys now? Yes. Can we be loud?
4:07Okay. So, no question in this contest, who is the Cowboys wide receiver one?
4:11It was something we debated heading into the season.
4:14It is CeeDee Lamb. He bested his five-catch outing versus the Giants in week one.
4:18He converted eight of a team-high nine for over 150 yards.
4:21Two touchdowns got fantasy managers 35 fantasy points. That's going to be like the wide receiver two, I believe, heading into Monday Night Football.
4:28He capitalized on a favorable matchup. Dak Prescott, speaking of dominating, he was sharp in this effort.
4:33He completed 84% of his passes for 279, and four touchdowns.
4:36Ended up with nearly four fantasy points. Jake Ferguson also showed up.
4:39He was on the receiving end of two of Dak's touchdowns.
4:42Moving forward, I think this is going to be an exploitable matchup for tight ends.
4:47Dallas Goddard managed two touchdowns against the Commanders in week one, so just something to keep an eye on moving forward.
4:53And they go to Brazil, I believe. They do, yeah.
4:55Just keep an eye on linebacker there, Frankie Louvoo's been out.
4:59Good call, Al. So that's probably going to affect your tight ends a little bit.
5:03That's the only thing I'd say. We'll monitor that, but yeah, you're right.
5:07So far, so good for tight ends. Biggest thing from the Cowboys, other than what you talked about, because they're maybe one
5:13of the chalkiest teams right now in fantasy football.
5:15We know who to start, and they generally pay off.
5:18It's a slow-ish start compared to last year from George Pickens.
5:21Yep. So we'll discuss Pickens' prospects going forward later on this week.
5:25Liz, we're going to give you the next game as well.
5:28The Vikings at your Bears. How are you doing emotions-wise this morning?
5:31I will say that, I don't know, there was a lot going on, and I'm still processing.
5:36It was a messy game, obviously. The weather had something to do with it.
5:40Vikings obviously won 9-3. Pitcher's duel. You know what I thought, honestly?
5:44I know I'm not supposed to take time saying this, but under my breath watching that game, this stinking Madden cover curse.
5:50It was the only thing I could think about.
5:52But it wasn't like a convincing effort before Caleb Williams got hurt.
5:56The rain notwithstanding, very, very messy effort. In fact, here's a stat I pulled.
6:00The Bears experienced the largest drop-off in points from one week to the next since the 1920 Rochester Jefferson.
6:05Yeah, I remember that game. I was going to say, yeah, I barely won my fantasy matchup that second week because they were so good the week prior.
6:13You look so good for having been born before.
6:16Over 100. Yes, you look fantastic. That's weird. You didn't say that to me.
6:20Well, I don't know what his skin routine is.
6:22I already know that you're like a Neutrogena girl.
6:25Anyway, Brian Flores really did dial it up. Neither Roma Dunze, Luther Burden, or, God has helped me, Colston Loveland cleared 45 receiving yards in this effort.
6:32It was DeAndre Swift who, as a reminder, is the team's running back that led in receiving yards with 54.
6:38Guys, I'm at a loss. I don't know what to say.
6:41I don't know what to do. Yeah, well, new quarterback now, at least for a short amount of time.
6:47It looks like... Quarterback that threw an end zone look at Colston Loveland's feet in the end of the fourth quarter.
6:53And also a quarterback that hasn't played regularly since in three years.
6:56Yeah, he had that one start against the Chargers on Sunday Night Football a couple of years back.
7:01At least four straight games he played. Yeah. But it wasn't that great.
7:056.0 yards per attempt. So that could hurt this offense in the short term.
7:09Luckily, though, it looks like hamstring not something more severe for Caleb Williams.
7:13So this might be a short-term injury, but we have to adjust this.
7:16The drama for just a hamstring injury. I know it's not my job.
7:20I know it's not my job to say that, but, like, I am relieved that it's a hamstring injury.
7:25And yet, it's a little bit worse. It did look way worse than it turned out to be, which is always good news, you know, relatively speaking.
7:33Yeah, the 10.07 Eastern Time vibes are that this might be something that's more in, like, a couple to few weeks range
7:39as opposed to maybe the entire season. It looked bad.
7:42Just takeaways from this game. There are some reasons to discount a lot of what Minnesota did.
7:47They went in there, and they basically said, we're going to find a way to grind this one out with our defense,
7:53and the weather is going to help us. Aaron Jones played a ton of snaps.
7:58It's a great callout, yes. 80-plus percent of the snaps.
8:00He wasn't that great. He had zero targets at Aaron Jones, but he got 23 rushing attempts.
8:05So I think he probably creeps into that. You know, he stays in that low-end RB2, strong flex consideration, until Jordan Mason.
8:12Yes, this is a four-week deal with Aaron Jones, I think, where they're just going to throw it all at him, and
8:18then Mason will come back, and then they'll let him.
8:21Well, he didn't draw a look, though. He did run 11 routes.
8:24DJ Dallas, if people are just looking at the box score, did see one target, but he only ran three routes.
8:30So just an idea of the workload. Only 20 pass attempts for them, with them being ahead.
8:35This game did not go, game script-wise, how we thought.
8:38We thought Chicago would get some points. Yeah. Score maybe one touchdown?
8:41That would have been nice. I mean, Carson Wentz, you're right, failed to score, failed to throw a single touchdown.
8:47And Jefferson was, like, fed-ish in that. Well, he had 40% targets.
8:50Yeah. Or 30% targets here, excuse me. Yeah, he'll be fine.
8:53He was three for 55 in the first half.
8:56Of his six, yeah. I'm less concerned about the Minnesota stuff.
8:59The Bears, independent of the Caleb Williams stuff, independent of the weather, like, we got to get these pass catchers going in a major way.
9:06All of them, all of them are amongst the biggest early season busts.
9:10No doubt about it. Like, Roma Dunze, Luther Burden, Colston Loveland, none of them have come anywhere close to paying off, close to value.
9:17I mean, I guess if you're, like, a Luther Burden manager, you're like, well, I mean, I could have 1.3 total fantasy
9:23points from Colston Loveland over two weeks. It's just been awful.
9:26We thought this Bears offense would be very good.
9:29I have optimism it will be once Caleb Williams returns.
9:31I agree with that. But we need it to be really good and featuring the guys that we drafted.
9:37Wait, where does your optimism come from, though? They scored 59 points last week.
9:41Talent. Yeah. Ben Johnson, I think, will get it together.
9:44The problem is Caleb's out this week and you're playing the Eagles.
9:47Really tough matchup. It's going to be hard to rank those guys particularly high, at least for week three.
9:53Yeah, the Bears also kicked themselves in the shin at the goal line yesterday.
9:57DeAndre Swift fumbles on the one-inch line. They also had a missed field goal early.
10:01Every game day starts before the lights go up.
10:03Before the snap. Before the roar. Something's already at work.
10:06Cleaner. Quieter. Energy. Production. Running where the game lives.
10:09Strong enough for fourth and goal. Smart enough for what comes next.
10:12Powering game day. Powering the fans and powering the communities that show up every Saturday.
10:16The same energy that runs your stadium, runs the schools and the hospital in your neighborhood.
10:21That is performance. Powered by Bloom Energy. Powering game days.
10:24Powering communities. Many people's first serious relationship didn't start with a kiss.
10:27It started with a kickoff. Or perhaps it was love at first hike.
10:31But unfortunately, many of these football lovers don't live in the same city as their team.

11:40Let's move forward here. Eagles and Titans. Mike, it is all yours.
11:44This game was played at volcanic temperatures in Nashville.
11:46Yeah, and the Eagles tried to blow this one a few times just like they did Washington the week before.
11:52But Jalen Hurts' impressive drive toward the end there.
11:54Devontae Smith had a huge game. 10 for a buck, 17, and a touchdown.
11:58The Eagles pull out the win 24-20. Big news here is certainly the injuries on the Eagles side.
12:03We'll start with Saquon Barkley. He went down early, didn't play the whole rest of the first half, then came back and
12:10just kind of played spot snaps in the second half.
12:13That at least gives me hope that he's scheduled for an MRI today, but it gives me optimism that it'll be okay for next week.
12:20We'll keep an eye on that throughout the week.
12:22If Tank Bigsby is on waivers, you could scoop him up.
12:25I still think it's worth it. Waiver it? Yeah.
12:28Provisional. And you guys will discuss that tomorrow on the waiver show.
12:31But Will Shipley was heavily involved as well. So Bigsby not going to be, I don't think, like a lock and load
12:38RB2 by any means, but could be on the flex radar.
12:41Again, Bigsby is a priority there, but we're going to keep an eye on Barkley.
12:45It shouldn't be too long if he misses any time.
12:48The one that could be is Dallas Goddard. He goes down in this game, misses, doesn't come back at all.
12:54We'll see what happens with that one. He has a history of missing multiple games per season, so it's really unfortunate, especially as Liz pointed out.
13:01He had a good week one. So monitor that throughout the week.
13:04Not a ton of people were drafting him to be their starter, so this one might not move the needle too much.
13:11But, again, something to monitor. Again, Devontae Smith locked and loaded as a borderline wide receiver.
13:15One with a huge game. Nice bounce back here.
13:18Your guy, Devont. Devontae B. Wicks does it again.
13:20Five for 74. He is flirting with the flex radar.
13:23The reason why he's able to do that, I think, is because Makai Lemmon's nothing to be seen there.
13:29He's a bench guy. You hope at some point his role increases just one catch so far.
13:33I think that's it from the Eagles side. Titans side, nothing.
13:37Nothing. I mean, who's starting? The wide receivers are a mess.
13:40The only wide receiver over 35 yards in this game was Alec Amon-Ra St.
13:44Brown, who, by the way, was stealing snaps from Wondale Robinson in this game.
13:48It's absurd. I mean, Cardinal T can't get going.
13:50He was the only Titan over three targets. He had five in this game.
13:54So Tony Pollard ran fine. He's still in a committee.
13:57By the way, Tajay Spears, is he the fastest guy in the league?
14:01That's the point I was about to make, yes.
14:03They've got to find a way to get the ball in his hands more.
14:07Every time he touched it as an Eagles fan, I was nervous because he was so explosive.
14:12They've got to get him the ball more. But right now, this is a situation to avoid.
14:17I don't think we could trust even Tate or Wondale right now.
14:20And Cam Ward accounted for both of the team scores, which came by the ground.
14:25Also irritating. Yes. If you're invested in Titans, yes.
14:27In 10-team leagues, there's not a single Titan that I think is worth starting right now.
14:32In 12-team leagues, I don't think there's a single Titan we're starting right now.
14:36We'll see in deeper leagues where things get really desperate in a hurry.
14:39But Tennessee, my note for them on my full one page here was just a big X all the way through the box score.
14:46Nothing. There's no Titan I want to be starting right now in fantasy.
14:50Eagles, they're just a wins machine, Mike. I don't know how they do it, but they find a little schedule.
14:56Higher than it needed to be, though. It doesn't matter.
14:58I know. That's what makes me nervous. I think the schedule is very light this year, so they might be able to chip away.
15:05But when they have a tough game, we're going to find out about this team.
15:10The Texans haven't grinded out any wins so far this year.
15:13Liz, they're 0-2. The Bengals 2-0, sort of the reverse of what they have been too frequently under Zach Taylor, which is slow starters.
15:2020-6. Good business-like win down in Houston. Yeah, it was nice to see Jamar Chase bounce back for fantasy purposes.
15:25That guy. Incredible. I mean, both of Joe Burrow's touchdown passes went to Jamar Chase on highlight-worthy grabs.
15:30Turns out he is, in fact, him. T. Higgins also, I think we need to mention, because he led the team in targets with 10.
15:37He caught half of those for 95 yards. He is averaging an impressive 19.3 yards per reception over his first two weeks of 2026.
15:44So I feel like T. Higgins on any other NFL squad would be a wide receiver one, and he tends to get
15:51buried because Jamar Chase is just so elite. I was also really impressed with Chase Brown, who maybe didn't post giant fantasy
15:57numbers, but did have a productive outing in real football in a tough matchup.
16:01He touched the ball 23 times for 82 scrimmage yards.
16:04I think that was worth 15 fantasy points. Only an RB2 in fantasy for this week, but locked in, obviously, is an every-week start.
16:10Joe Burrow also entered the contest. Mike, I believe you had questions about Joe Burrow and his health, particularly in whether you
16:17were going to downgrade him when we were talking about the issue on FFC.
16:21Entered it, banged up, still proved to be serviceable for fantasy purposes.
16:24He signed 16 points, yeah. I think he was an appropriate match.
16:28Will travel to Pittsburgh in week three. Any other notes before I move to Houston's side note?
16:32Pretty status quo. Bangles are like the Cowboys. Oh, typical Mike Gisicki.
16:36Goes from a huge week one to a zero in week two.
16:39Lot receiver, tight end Mike Gisicki. Perfect, perfect Mike Gisicki.
16:42Well, speaking of tight ends, Dalton Schultz is pretty much the only answer for the Houston Texans.
16:47He stepped up bigly, if you will, with Nico Collins out.
16:50Drew a monster 14 looks. Ended up with 12 catches, 140 yards.
16:53No offense, Mike, but he crushed his nine-point projection here.
16:56Sure did. Earning managers 26 fantasy points. He's going to be a top-five play, at least, you know, heading into by the end of Monday Night Football, rather.
17:04Other Houston-wide receivers, it doesn't matter. This receiver room is completely unsettled.
17:08Xavier Hutchinson led the team with nine looks. And former Pittsburgh Panthers standout Jared Wayne was second on the team in targets with seven.
17:15I did mention him on FFC for you. You know, he went to college.
17:18I did that for you. And basically, this receiver room is just like, I like to say, a mishigas of meh.
17:24Yeah, Nico or bust. Yeah, Dalton Schultz, tight ends against Bengals.
17:28Could that be a thing again? Maybe it's back.
17:30It wasn't back in week one. But Bengals' defense is much better.
17:34Much better. I know they gave some points to Tampa Bay last week, but they made some plays and shut down Houston this week.
17:40David Montgomery in this one. Six carries, 10 yards.
17:43Woody Marks, eight carries, eight yards. What do we think?
17:46We think the people that were really mad about the idea that you agreed with, by the way, my stance after week
17:52one was David Montgomery is the perfect sell-high candidate.
17:55Yeah. A lot of people were mad. Mike sided with me.
17:58I think Daniel was more on the people's side.
18:00Yeah. 4.4 fantasy points. Yeah, not great. Not great, Bob.
18:03Not hard to see that. Cincinnati Bengals' defense, just got to say really quickly, Coach Edwards in the war room came up
18:09to me and was like, how does a team go from the 31st ranked defense to this?
18:14So I do think we got to give the Bengals...
18:17Yeah. ...pulled hard cash. Right? Much different team. But sometimes you pour a lot of money into a defense or an offense and it doesn't necessarily convert.
18:25So just to not... We cannot keep the same narrative from last year about the Bengals' defense unless it pertains to the tight ends.
18:32Yeah, maybe tight ends, though, after what Schultz did in this one.
18:35But we'll see. Carolina went to Atlanta and absolutely wiped the floor with the pathetic Falcons.
18:40They dominated them. And Bryce Young was awesome for the second straight week.
18:43Sure was. He had three passing touchdowns and 24.1 fantasy points.
18:46I'll make this quick on Bryce because we've seen Bryce have good moments and then he'd have sort of come back down to earth moments, does Bryce Young.
18:54I like four of his five next matchups. So for some reason you're sputtering at quarterback.
18:59Maybe you drafted Justin Herbert. Maybe if Matthew Stafford duds again tonight and you're like, what the heck?
19:04Drake May, he's been awful for two straight weeks and you want to consider a changeup.
19:09Bryce Young will have our attention. Until further notice, got to continue to reiterate, it's the Chuba Hubbard show in the Carolina Panthers backfield.
19:15He ends up with 14.4 fantasy points. Jonathan Brooks, just 2.1.
19:19The snap share was a little tighter this week, but that's because this game was a blowout.
19:23Chuba was playing the consequential snaps. Again, until further notice, I'm not saying this is all year, but I think I thought
19:30this coming into the season and I feel the same way now.
19:33It's the Chuba show. He's the new James Conner, the unsexy RB2 that you don't really feel great about drafting and he ends up being pretty solid.
19:41By the way, Brooks did leave this game, her too, later on, but it was still established.
19:46He also had a groin injury. I just want to make sure people know it's not a knee issue.
19:51The Panthers might have two receivers that are in our rankings in the top 30s.
19:55Definitely. Tedderone McMillan, you know him, and he was good yesterday.
19:58He had 10 targets, highest on the team. 5 for 101 was the final line.
20:03There were some sweet grabs as well. Not too far behind is Jalen Coker from...
20:07You got this one. Holy cross. Thank you! Oh, I got one!
20:10Got one! Mike nailed it. Eight catches for 66 yards.
20:13So the yards per catch, just over eight yards, but he is awesome.
20:17Eight catches on nine targets, back-to-back, really solid weeks here for Jalen Coker.
20:21Guy who got a legit extension this offseason, three years, $35 million.
20:24This kid can play. This offense is playing with a ton of confidence right now.
20:28If I like Bryce Young's matchup four out of the next five weeks, I like the matchup for the wide receivers as well.
20:35Coker would be inside my top 30 in my very preliminary week three ranks.
20:39Oh, wait. He only caught eight of nine targets.
20:41Darn. He was 14 of 14 against Atlanta in his career before yesterday.
20:45Damn it! You didn't mention that stat coming into the week.
20:48Yeah, I'm with you. Just keep in mind, Bryce Young owns the Falcons.
20:52I mean, his two best games ever against Atlanta had another big one yesterday.
20:56So I'm curious to see if he can keep this going.
20:59He's not known, as I talked about in FFC yesterday, has never had two back-to-back good fantasy games.
21:04This is the first time in his career he's had a back-to-back good fantasy game.
21:08So we'll see if he keeps that going. The Falcons, hug a Falcons fan if you know one.
21:14They need therapy. What a pathetic existence this offense is right now.
21:17The good news is Thursday night they play again.
21:20Maybe we get Michael Penix back. Okay, we need that.
21:22They did get their Jack Strand moment. It didn't go well from jump.
21:26Cooper Rush had negative .6 fantasy points. I'm trying to find a silver lining here.
21:30There is none because there are three guys that we are not just invested in, but heavily invested in in fantasy, right?
21:37Bijan obviously was RB2. He had a monster game last week.
21:40He had 11.1 fantasy points this week. They kind of yanked him early.
21:43He played just 51% of the snaps. He was efficient as a runner, 16 for 72.
21:48The problem is there's no touchdown equity in this offense whatsoever.
21:51They have one in two weeks. It was a long, excuse me, Brian Robinson, Pijon Robinson screen pass that went the distance.
21:57Kyle Pitts is on the Colston Loveland plan. He improved from zero points in week one to one catch for 15 yards in week two.
22:05And then Drake London, who was a little better.
22:07Sure, a little better. But I mentioned this last week during our preview show.
22:11Can you really, really trust any Falcons pass catcher with Cooper Rush once again?
22:15If you're like, well, it got better for Drake London.
22:18I got a whole 8.9 fantasy points. You didn't take Drake London as potentially wide receiver 7, 8, 9, or 10 to feel good about 8.9 fantasy points.
22:26We need a new quarterback stat. Mike mentioned it.
22:28They play Thursday night. There is some indication that it could be Michael Penix Jr.
22:33on the field. And I like Penix. I think he's a very talented thrower.
22:37And I can promise you it can't get worse than what they have thrown out there the past two Sundays.
22:42Yeah, nothing more to add. As you know, managing maintenance, repair, and operations is never easy.

23:23You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome?
23:26That's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web.
23:29Like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block.
23:32Or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.
23:36Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online make sense?
23:40There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required compatibility and availability varies 18+.
23:44Let's go move ahead now to the nice skip-up page.
23:47Okay, Broncos and that's right. We have the... Oh, no.
23:50Browns Bucs. Browns Bucs. Browns Bucs. Browns Bucs. That's me.
23:52Yes. This game was ended this morning after several weather doers.
23:56I know. I know that was wild. Browns with the upset.
23:5920-19. You know, do you ever have a thought in your head about football and you're too afraid to say it publicly?
24:05So you just secretly text your friends. I watched the film of Deshaun Watson after week one and I texted those guys
24:11and said, I'm not going to lie, he didn't play that bad.
24:15I mean, he was pressured over half the time.
24:17It was rough, but he made some good throws.
24:20He made a couple mistakes. And then he goes into week two and plays like that.
24:24It was much... It was really good. Incredible. He played really well.
24:2824 of 30. 230 yards, two touchdowns in this game.
24:31Also led the team with 22 rushing yards as well.
24:33So I'm not saying he's back or anything, but I think he at least saved his job for now.
24:39He's not getting pulled. Not right now. Not this week.
24:42Not right now. Not after you played like that.
24:44I think he's off to a much better start than the public might want you to think.
24:49So we'll see how that goes moving forward. They're back home this week, but a point in the right direction.
24:55Not making a waiver claim unless it's super flex, but we'll monitor this one.
24:59The other part of this is the guy he was throwing to, Denzel Boston, as clearly established as the number one wide receiver in this offense.
25:06Seven targets. Three percent of the snaps. Yeah. Yeah.
25:09He's the only one. He's the only one that was over 70%.
25:12They're rotating the other guys. Five catches, 95 yards, and a touchdown.
25:15Also scored in week one. That was garbage time.
25:18This one was certainly more legit in a competitive game.
25:21He is the one there. He should be rostered.
25:23Bless you, Field. Thank you. In all fantasy leagues right now, for sure.
25:27On the other hand, we have the guys that are disappointing here.
25:31Quinchon Judkins, 12 carries, 21 yards. They can't block.
25:33They can't block for Watson. This is my concern, right?
25:36They can't run block. I will say silver lining, and it's a very, very thin silver lining.
25:41He at least saw five targets, right? There was some action in the passing game for him.
25:46Something we did not necessarily anticipate heading into this season.
25:48Yeah, no doubt. Certainly helps that. I know Dylan Sampson will be out for a little while longer, but Judkins did play 69% of the snaps.
25:56Nothing on the ground but to your points, 7.7 points.
25:59In the passing game, Concepcion, Harold Fannin, fine usage in this one.
26:02Concepcion, 6 for 28, and Fannin, 5 for 54.
26:05It's a point in the right direction for Fannin.
26:07He's flirting with the top 12, but you don't have to start him right now.
26:12Six points better than his four fantasy point debut in week one.
26:15Yeah, it's ugly. Jerry Judy could drop him. Hopefully he gets traded at some point.
26:19Can I just give you a quick Harold Fannin Jr.
26:22thought is sometimes when we think about future years and when you're trying to categorize his bust, it feels like the way
26:28to sort of lean towards is like who had top one percentile outcomes the prior season.
26:33In some ways, Harold Fannin Jr. had basically top one percentile outcome, right?
26:37The offense was so bad and the offensive line was so bad that there was nothing to do besides get the ball out quick.
26:43They were constantly playing from behind. Harold Fannin Jr.
26:46got a million design targets late in the season.
26:49Not the same this year. Much more aggressive and not electric, but more competent offense in the first two weeks of the season.
26:55Yeah, I mean, if you get a 20% target share and get carries too, including at the goal line, that's going to
27:01mean a lot at the tight end position. So I'm still confident he could get back into that conversation.
27:07A lot's going to have to do with how well Deshaun Watson plays moving forward.
27:11Just saying like there was a point last year where it was like, wow, it was like Harold Fannin Jr.
27:17the next man up behind Brock Bowers and Trey McBride.
27:20Not so fast. Not so fast. To use your expression from earlier.
27:23All right. Buccaneers side. Not a lot to report here, except that Bucky Irving has reestablished himself as the clear number one.
27:29There's a lot of offseason chatter that, hey, they paid Kenny Gainwell a lot of money.
27:34He's the one. No, he's not. It's Bucky Irving.
27:3648 snaps in this game. Kenny Gainwell, 23. Sean Tucker back from injury, zero.
27:40So he's not a factor in the offense at this point.
27:43That's huge for Irving to generate some goal line work.
27:4690 yards and 21 touches for Bucky Irving. He's a lineup lock right now as an RB2.
27:51And then as for the passing game, again, very disappointing at home against this Cleveland defense.
27:56It isn't quite as good as it was in years past, but no Bucs over 49 receiving yards.
28:01Fortunately, if you have Emeka Ibuka bailed out by that touchdown, just three catches for 16 yards on five targets in this game.
28:07Ted Hurst, KDOT, and they all had more targets than Ibuka in this game.
28:11So confident in his talent moving forward and in Baker Mayfield, but that was a disappointing effort from this offense.
28:17He's one of the early season busts as well as Emeka Ibuka.
28:20He has not been good through two weeks. Not nearly as good as we had hoped for.
28:25Anything you want to add on that game, Liz?
28:28I don't think so. I think Mike covered it all.
28:31Three sacks for Baker Mayfield, which was a little bit concerning as well.
28:34They have a lot of questions to answer right now down in Tampa Bay.
28:38Let's move to a game that I think has one of the more important revelations from the weekend.
28:44It's Saints at Baltimore. The Saints get a huge win, 24-17.
28:47A crazy end-of-game sequence there where Tyler Shuck eventually does score on a six-inch touchdown run.
28:51Baltimore going to keep... Let's start there. Just because, like, Derrick Henry, I know the stats have been going around four second
28:57half rushing attempts or something like that for Derrick Henry.
29:00The game all of a sudden became more competitive.
29:03They were playing either with a lead or a big lead.
29:06It should have... He should have been playing more.
29:09Period. End of story. But it's not the first time we've seen this from Derrick Henry.
29:13He actually had three catches yesterday, which is a huge number from him.
29:17He's fine. Lamar Jackson ends up with under 15 fantasy points.
29:20Lamar came out hot yesterday. This offense came out hot yesterday.
29:23This is going to be one of those games that I think lights a fire under the booty of the Ravens.
29:29They're way too good to be this bad on offense as they were in the second half and really second quarter on.
29:35The question was who could step up for Zay Flowers.
29:38The answer is for Todd Bateman. We have our answer.
29:41Until Zay Flowers is back and they're traveling to Brazil for a game.
29:45I don't know when they're leaving. I'm going to guess this is not like the Niners who left a week in advance
29:51of their game in Australia, but they're probably also not going to go the Rams route where they show up like an hour before kickoff.
29:58We'll see whether Zay Flowers makes the trip down there.
30:01He did practice on Friday. Rashad Bateman, 91% of the snaps.
30:04Nine of Lamar Jackson's 31 passing attempts were targets for Rashad Bateman, seven for 88 and a touchdown.
30:09I understand he's been very disappointing. He's also a former first round pick who has been extended twice.
30:14Like an early... Yes. I agree with you. He has two extensions from Baltimore in his career.
30:19Not that one of them were big bank breakers, but still, this team has shown a level of commitment to Rashad Bateman.
30:25Yeah, and we have talked about how they can't really support multiple wide receivers in this offense and Zay Flowers hasn't missed games in a while.
30:33Yeah. So now, you know, what we learned here, I think, is that one guy can establish himself as the top guy.
30:39And in this case, it's, you know, used to be Hollywood Brown and, you know, obviously it's been Zay Flowers.
30:45Maybe it's Bateman until Flowers comes back. I left him on my bench and didn't like it.
30:50Let's talk Saints. Moment of appreciation for Tyler Shuck first.
30:52Back-to-back games with over 22 fantasy points. Got in the end zone as a runner, as I mentioned, to win the game.
30:5937% of his fantasy points from the weekend came as a runner for Tyler Shuck.
31:03Enough mobility to be very frisky and dangerous. They play the Raiders next weekend.
31:07I'm sure we'll be talking about Shuck. Chris Olave, what an amazing player he is.
31:11It's a joy to watch him week in and week out.
31:1422.6 fantasy points. But I am going to serve up what I think might be the most confusing deployment of backs in the league right now.
31:22I know. I don't get it. I have a hard time figuring this one out.
31:26But it felt to me, now I'm sure there are Saints fans that can correct me if this is wrong.
31:32It felt to me like all offseason, the Saints were trying to navigate the exit ramp for Alvin Kamara.
31:37They wanted to do so in a way that was, I think, cordial to a franchise legend.
31:42Instead, they eventually get a deal done with Alvin Kamara to keep him around after signing Travis Achan to a four-year, $48 million contract.
31:49Travis Achan, after playing 58% of the snaps in week one, dropped down to 43.8 snaps in week two.
31:54He had just two targets. Remember last week, he had seven catches.
31:58He had eight rushes to Alvin Kamara's nine. Kamara averaged a mere 1.6 yards per carry yesterday and is still playing 25%
32:04of the snaps, with CJ Donaldson playing 23.4% of the snaps.
32:07I would say that Achan and Kamara are amongst the most established and prolific receiving backs the league has seen over the past decade, especially, of course, Kamara.
32:15Donaldson's playing where they're playing hurry-up snaps. I have no idea, but this backfield, which I thought that Achan had the chance
32:21to be one of those boring RB2s that by the end of the year has graduated to back-end RB1s.
32:27This backfield, going into week three, feels to me like a stay away.
32:30A dead zone. Yeah. It is a dead zone, and also, I think we have to mention that Kamara was not particularly effective with his targets.
32:38He managed one more receiving yard than he did looks.
32:41Yeah. That's not great. Five receptions for seven receiving yards was the final number here for Alvin Kamara.
32:46So I thought this was going to be the Travis Achan show.
32:49I was following the money. Like, if the Saints felt this confident, Alvin Kamara and CJ Donaldson, who's an undrafted free agent,
32:55but like, Kendra Miller, who they liked enough to play him last week, was a healthy scraper.
33:00I don't get it. I haven't figured it out.
33:03I agree. I just don't understand the logic behind it.
33:06By the way, Donaldson played 14 special team snaps as well.
33:09I mean, and 20 offensive snaps. I mean, they're featuring this guy as a team.
33:13They love him. I don't... It's shocking. I get.
33:16Like, it's a very cool development story. It's a great find by them as a college.
33:20Oh, Hartman. Agreed on that part. Yeah. But man, like, it's some...
33:24Why? Four for 48 million. Four for 48 million.
33:26For Travis Achan. Like, the message you're sending with that is, we feel like we have a gigantic need to add a feature back.
33:33And we think this guy is the truth. And then now they're saying, actually, he's not that good.
33:38Like, what are the strengths they like out of him?
33:41Like, he's not the lead runner in terms of attempts.
33:44He's certainly not going to play all of the passing down snaps because Alvin Kamara has got six targets to Achan's two.
33:50He's out-carried and out-targeted. Like, what's the value? Like, in his day, he could have been slightly salvaged.
33:55There was, at the end of the game, there was a penalty on a one-yard touchdown run that Achan had called back.
34:01But still, like, this one went from potentially promising in the preseason to potentially completely useless all the way around.
34:07I think what's more frustrating than that is that they just pulled off this big upset.
34:12So there's no actionable reason to change anything. Oh, they won't change anything.
34:15Not at the moment. Yeah. I have a question.
34:18How good is Tyler Shuck? Where do you think he's going to settle in?
34:22I think he's a top 15 quarterback? Top 10?
34:24Top 10? Real life or fantasy? Yeah. Real life.
34:27How legit is this football player? 15? Yeah. Is he the Mendoza line?
34:31He might be pushing into the Mendoza line. I mean, yeah.
34:34That's good. He has his moments. They have to figure it out early in games.
34:38Who was the Mendoza line? Kyler Murray? For a long time, it was Kirk Cousins.
34:42I think it was Andy Dalton. Oh, that's good.
34:45No, to Liz for the Battle of the Green Uniforms.
34:48The Jets and the Packers. Nearly a tie, but a win for the Packers.
34:52Another NFC North matchup here. Packers ultimately win this one.
34:55Let's start with Jordan Love. He tossed two touchdowns, obviously, as you can see in this one.
34:59One to Marshawn Lloyd with about 10 minutes left in the half.
35:03And then his second, not until about seven minutes left in the fourth quarter to Christian Watson.
35:08I actually breathed quite a sigh of relief seeing Christian Watson have his day saved with that touchdown.
35:13Jordan Love only completed 52% of his passes. There was rain in this game as well, so we can attribute some of that in efficiency.
35:20And an underrated defense, I would say. And an underrated defense is an excellent point.
35:24I think, for me, the bigger story is Green Bay's backfield from a fantasy perspective.
35:29Because we've got Caleb Johnson, Marshawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks accounting for 63 total rushing yards on 18 combined carries.
35:34Guys, that's less than inspiring. No, this is a stay away.
35:37Like, I'm not trying to be redundant, but I think after two weeks, we have already stockpiled close to a half a dozen stay away backfields.
35:44It's not Halloween, though. I don't want dead zones.
35:47I want live zones. It's pumpkin spice season almost.
35:50We want the good stuff. We started pumping out Halloween candy in August here.
35:54Isn't that ridiculous? It's ridiculous. I know. Don't get me started.
35:57I think the only thing we learned is that when Josh Jacobs returns at some point, which we expect, he will be the clear feature back again.
36:04No one is stealing. He's going to play eight times.
36:07And it'll buoy this entire offense. He will be a very, very busy back.
36:11Will Josh Jacobs, once he gets back. Stay away from the running backs.
36:15I'm going to reserve the right to change this stance because they play Atlanta on Thursday night at home.
36:20I'm very disheartened by the first two weeks of the Green Bay Packers offense.
36:24Yeah. Yeah. Christian Watson aside. You guys know that's my guy.
36:27But besides that, it's been disappointing. I thought this could be an offense that went nuclear.
36:32It has not been the case through two years.
36:35I think there was also the assumption that with the backfield affected so terribly by Jacobs' absence that there would be more funneled through the air.
36:42And we'd have, obviously, with also the number of looks vacated, some more clarity.
36:46I do think we have the clarity in that Matthew Golden is going to get fed.
36:50He may not be effective, but he's going to get fed.
36:54And Christian Watson remains the highest ceiling option for two weeks in a row now.
36:58Yeah. We should mention, too, Jaden Reed's serious injury.
37:00Yes. And this one's probably going to be out for a little while.
37:04We'll keep an eye on that. Hopefully he's able to return.
37:07A neck injury, he does, I think it's worth saying, also did have a feeling in his extremities.
37:12Yes, yes. And movement in the extremities. Hopefully he'll be back soon.
37:16By the way, it turns out recovering from a knee injury might take a little time.
37:20Tucker Craft slow out of the gates here. Had a couple splash plays in week one.
37:25Not enough to be super fantasy relevant. And then just two for 15 in this one, despite playing.
37:30He ran 25 routes. It was right up there.
37:3394% of the snap. Yeah, he played a lot, but it wasn't happening yet.
37:37So it might take a little time for him to get rolling.
37:40But at some point, he will. Here's the thing about people that argue with Mike on the internet.
37:45Some are right. Sometimes I go off like vibes, right?
37:48Like I'm not afraid to admit that. Like sometimes it's just a gut call that leads me down a path for fantasy football.
37:55Mike will make an argument. Well, I know. But Mike, when you argue with Mike, it's literally arguing against like a formula.
38:01It's like arguing against science. It's like arguing against a computer.
38:04Like everything that Mike says is incredibly well thought out and reasoned and pragmatic.
38:08People got so mad about Mike's stance on Tucker Craft.
38:11And it's like two weeks in, it's like, hey, he's an awesome player.
38:14I think he's the highest paid tight end ever now.
38:17It's great. But Mike was not doing so because he has a personal issue with Tucker Craft.
38:22Exactly. It was just, here's why he could bust.
38:25He's trying to lead you down the path. Yes.
38:27Here's why he could bust. And we're seeing it so far, but a long way to go.
38:32The good news on the Jets, we can be extremely quick here, Liz, is that I feel like you just know what you're going to get.
38:39It's two guys. Well, it is two guys, though, because over the summer.
38:43Right, right. Not one of those. Here at Wilson remains the team's alpha, right?
38:47He is the number one. But there is room for Aidy Mitchell.
38:51And over the summer, there was a drumbeat on Mitchell.
38:53And I think all of us were like, I don't know.
38:57Is Gino going to be able to support two wide receivers?
39:00Gino has, by the way, proved to be fairly stable.
39:03We don't really, we didn't really like his effort this time.
39:06Oh, there's a, the reason we're all angry is because the Jets should win a game against a really, okay, that's an amazing process.
39:12I think you could, yeah. Can you say that word?
39:15Because Tom Brady said it on TV yesterday. His missile.
39:18That was hilarious. That was. We'll get to that.
39:21We'll get to, well, we already talked about that game.
39:24But yes, Wilson had the most productive outing of, the most productive fantasy day.
39:28He was out targeted by Aidy Mitchell. Mitchell drew 12 looks.
39:31He earned a target share of nearly 30%. His longest game, though, only 15 yards.
39:35Obviously, these numbers are a little bit inflated because the game went into overtime.
39:39But I am happy that the offseason drumbeat is, in fact, finding a rhythm and is legitimate.
39:44I think both of these, both of these receivers could see hefty volume again as the Jets are seven-point road dogs against Detroit in week three.
39:51Oh, good. Good secondary for Garrett Wilson to pick on.
39:54That's one of my most invested players this year.
39:57So. Can we talk about brief call, too? He is what he is, right?
40:01Right. He's just a solid RB2 that's an excellent pass catcher.
40:04He had some explosive plays. Let's get to the Patriots playing host of the Steelers.
40:08The Patriots win 20-3. Wasn't it because of the offense?
40:11Let's do the Steelers, though, quickly. Jalen Warren plays 72% of the snaps as Rico Dowdle gets banged up.
40:16Do you guys know what it was? What was it?
40:19I don't, but he came back in and then they rolled him out.
40:23So this does not seem major. Doesn't seem major, but Jalen Warren had a massively inflated snap share as a result of it.
40:29They were also getting toasted in this game. I think DK Metcalf, like the rapport between he and Aaron Rodgers wasn't great last year.
40:36It's still not great this year. I also think that DK got Gonzalez-ed yesterday.
40:40Christian Gonzalez, obviously one of the best corners in the NFL, had plenty of snaps lined up opposite of DK Metcalf.
40:46Jeremy Bernard had eight targets for the Steelers. I would file that under the monitoring for super deep league category.
40:52More than anything else. But I don't really want any part of the Steelers offense right now.
40:57They're dreadful. Aaron Rodgers has some interesting comments after the game.
41:00Aaron Rodgers got absolutely jacked up yesterday on a sack.
41:03Like the Patriots defense was probably the best unit on the field.
41:06So I'm not going to say much more on the Steelers unless you guys have something you really want to add.
41:12You know you got jacked up when it's like you're in field goal range and it's third and whatever.
41:17Third and five, third and ten, whatever it was.
41:20And then the next play it's fourth and 45 because you got hit that hard.
41:24The ball went all the way back down the other side of the field.
41:28So let's get to the Patriots because there are a few interesting things there.
41:32Let's begin with the non-AJ Brown wide receivers yesterday.
41:35The wide receiver that played the most snaps was Matt Collins, nearly 70%.
41:38He also ran the most routes, 21 to Romeo Dobbs, 20.
41:42Romeo Dobbs had the most targets out of all of the wide receivers with four.
41:46He turned that into three catches for 96 yards, much of that coming on one big play.
41:51The Patriots have had a difficult schedule against defenses out of the gates.
41:54They play Jacksonville and Buffalo over the next two weeks.
41:57I'm not sure it gets a whole lot easier this upcoming Sunday.
42:01Drake May has been bad. Eight fantasy points. Like Drake May, we'll talk about him more throughout the week.
42:06You can't tell me that guy is an absolute lock to be inside your top ten for quarterbacks for week three.
42:12But I don't... So Drake not playing as well.
42:15The targets not being that significant. And a lot of Romeo Dobbs production coming on one play.
42:19I'm not convinced that just because he led the team in fantasy points this past weekend amongst pass catchers that Romeo Dobbs
42:26has now convinced me he deserves to be a flex.
42:29It's a possibility that we're back to where we were a couple years ago.
42:33There's no Patriots wide receiver that you want to have inside your lineup.
42:36Anybody have any stronger opinion on the Patriots wide receivers before we talk about the money match?
42:41No, I agree. I think Dobbs is the closest to a flex.
42:45And the thing I'd say on May, though, is we had him as a bench weeks one and two.
42:50So this isn't shocking. This was a tough schedule.
42:52He's now played, what, seven straight games? Six straight games against really good defenses and hasn't performed well.
42:58So this is something we're going to have to monitor.
43:00He's failed to throw a touchdown. Yeah. A single touchdown.
43:03I think he had one in week one. Did he have one?
43:07Against Eli Raritan for the first touchdown of the season.
43:10But yes, I mean, it has not been good for the Patriots.
43:13It's offense. We'll see when the matchups lighten up if it's a moderate.
43:17It seems like a lot of excusing, Mike. I'm just saying it's...
43:20I mean, he was ranked as a top six quarterback for fantasy purposes heading into this season.
43:25We're going to bench that guy for two weeks?
43:27Maybe. We have. I bet. I mean, I didn't draft him.
43:31I don't have any shares of him, but like...
43:33I don't in season long either. I have. I've benched him in both of the leagues that I have him.
43:39Or sorry. I have. I have him one league.
43:41I've benched him back-to-back weeks. I'll have a conversation this upcoming week.
43:45Although the other quarterback is Patrick Mahomes. Who is it?
43:48Jacksonville. Jacksonville. In Jacksonville. All right. But let's talk about the most interesting thing for the Patriots in fantasy this weekend.
43:54Except for if you rostered Ramondre Stevenson. He played 36% of the snaps to 60.4 to Travion Henderson.
43:59Why? Well, Ramondre Stevenson put the ball on the ground.
44:02He has been the most fumble-prone running back in the NFL.
44:05And here's the fundamental question we have to ask.
44:07He fumbles early. He does not get totally sent to the bench.
44:11But his role dramatically decreased. Is this going to be what we see pretty often?
44:15And actually pretty often for Ramondre Stevenson. Where he kind of gets put in timeout for the rest of the game.
44:21But the next week, he's back on the field when the Patriots take the field.
44:25I feel like I'm being aasslet. That's my guess.
44:28No, I think Ramondre... I believe that based off everything the Patriots have talked about all offseason.
44:33And some of the areas that, despite the brilliance of Travion Henderson as an explosive runner.
44:37Still not going to be the guy they want pass protecting.
44:40There's going to be so many small things that Ramondre Stevenson does.
44:44Because I do think that Ramondre Stevenson will be on the field when the Patriots begin the game next Sunday.
44:49What I don't think is going to happen though.
44:52Is that Ramondre Stevenson is going to play the 70-75% snap share that we saw at times in the playoffs last year.
44:58Travion looked great on that one long run. Super explosive player.
45:01Nothing in the passing game. He did have 16 carries for 76 yards.
45:05But again, most of that came on one play.
45:08So buyer beware on that one. Especially if Stevenson does start again next week.
45:12I just want to say I agree with Field on the pass pro.
45:15And that's why I've had Ramondre Stevenson aggressively ranked much more than the consensus.
45:19But we also saw Drake may take three sacks.
45:2215 for 35 carries on that. 15 carries for 35 yards for Travion in the non-touchdown run.
45:27Mike, let's get to the Seahawks and the Cardinals.
45:29The Seahawks, what a professional outfit they are. 31-7.
45:32They wax the Arizona Cardinals. And oh my god, Jackson Smith and Jigba.
45:36Yeah, seriously. Sam Darnold must have played well, right?
45:38If they dominate. No, they just go to their backup quarterback and still crush Arizona.
45:42Who, I guess this actually makes the Chargers look worse after.
45:46Oh man, the Cardinals just beat them pretty handily.
45:48Yeah, Locke was solid. Three touchdowns in this game.
45:51But to your point, JSN did work in this one.
45:53Nine for 11. 155 yards. And three touchdowns. He does it again.
45:57The guy is just an absolute superstar on another level.
46:00Now leads the NFL in target share through two weeks with a 44% target share, which is an obscene number.
46:05Do you know second in that, by the way?
46:08Did we get to this team here? We haven't gotten there yet.
46:11We'll save it to when we do in just a couple moments.
46:15We'll save that for a little bit. Yeah, so JSN good.
46:18On the Seattle side as well, Janarian Price left this game with a chest injury.
46:22He had 13 carries for 52 yards. One catch for eight yards.
46:26Wasn't doing much damage. We saw a lot more Emmanuel Wilson.
46:29He was the one that was rotating with Janarian Price throughout this game.
46:32Once Price left, then we started to see some George Helani, but he was phased out.
46:37It was Emmanuel Wilson. If Price is going to miss a game, we'll keep an eye on this one.
46:42Wilson would be the add in fantasy and should see a ton of rushing volume.
46:47He had 21 carries for 92 yards in this game.
46:50I just want to add one thing about Emmanuel Wilson and Janarian Price.
46:53This is a red flag for Janarian Price. Before he got hurt, the Seahawks had three straight carries from the four-yard line and in.
47:00They went from the four to the two to the one.
47:03All of them went to Emmanuel Wilson. He is their goal line back right now.
47:07That is very concerning for Janarian Price's upside. Agreed.
47:10No doubt about it. Arizona side of this one, we thought coming into the season...
47:14It's over. Yeah. We thought... Well, hold on. First of all, I'm going to start with the running backs.
47:20Coming into the season, I thought... You know me.
47:22I mean, yes, Marvin Harrison would be the storyline, but for me, it's Jeremiah Love.
47:27I thought he would get off to a slow start.
47:29A little slower than I would have hoped. 64% of the snaps for Tyler Algier.
47:3440% for Jeremiah Love. I wish they would feed this guy more.
47:37He did lead them in carries with nine. Only at 29 yards.
47:40Had three targets. Only 16 yards. We haven't seen that big explosive play from him yet.
47:45I'm hoping it's coming, but for now, he's falling down to the fringe RB2.
47:49More of a flex play at this point. So, kind of ho-hum for Trey McBride.
47:53Eight for 41 in a touchdown. That's it. That's ho-hum for him, yeah.
47:57That's ho-hum. It's over for Marvin. Yeah, Marvin Harrison, you're exactly right.
48:00He's getting traded, right? I don't know. At some point, maybe not this year.
48:04I don't know. 26 routes in this game. One target.
48:07Zero catches. He has that 33-yard catch this season.
48:10That's it. That's all he got. He's going to have a game at some point.
48:14Maybe soon. Maybe week three. We'll see. Or he's going to have, you know, seven for 62 in a touchdown.
48:20And we're going to say, yeah, that's the guy that they drafted.
48:23And we believe it's not. That's not it. All right?
48:26Like, there's too much of a sample size. 31 games where he's got four of his 31 games.
48:3113% of the time. Zero catches. Yeah. I will say this.
48:34No Cardinal other than McBride got to 20 yards in this game.
48:38So, it was a disaster against Seattle. But their schedule's tough.
48:41So, I'm not sure it's going to be substantially better going forward.
48:44It's not as tough as the Chargers. So, we're now 0-2 and staring down the barrel of a gauntlet.
48:50What a pathetic effort this was. I'm so impressed by the Raiders.
48:5326-14. 2-0 Raiders. Coaching does matter. Clint Kubiak goes out there and helps out in a major way.
48:58For the Raiders, not a lot of takeaways, right?
49:01Because there's only two guys that we really care about for fantasy.
49:04Ashton Gentry, who was fine yesterday. Really good snap percentage.
49:0782%. Inefficient as a runner. 21 for 48. He dropped three passes, but he had seven targets.
49:12That's good. I actually thought that Gentry made the case, for those that are a little bit skeptical on Gentry coming into
49:18the season, was he's an amazing player. He's going to play a good amount of snaps.
49:23Maybe a very good amount of snaps. But I am a little concerned that this offensive line is better, but not that much better.
49:29Right? Yesterday maybe helped make that case. They've got to, like, week one was not the right matchup to decide whether this offense is all the way back.
49:37But one game is not enough to decide whether this offense is all the way back to where it was prior to week one.
49:44But we'll have a better snapshot of them in future weeks by the Saints this upcoming week.
49:49But let's talk about the Chargers, guys. Wait, real quick.
49:52Can we just, for anomaly's sake, point out that Kirk Cousins has scored three touchdowns, has thrown three touchdowns in back-to-back weeks.
49:58He has six touchdowns on the season. Yeah, that's good for the Raiders, but not good for us wanting to see Fernando
50:05Mendoza because that's going to bump down the road a little bit.
50:08Say, if you want to see more piss missiles thrown on Sunday, you want Fernando Mendoza on the field.
50:13Let's talk about the Chargers, though. I like that word.
50:16It's a great term. I'm so mad. It's so pathetic.
50:19Like, one of the questions we'll be discussing on first draft later today is, what's wrong with the Chargers offense?
50:25My response is, what's right? What is right right now?
50:28Oh, that's a great point. Are you kidding me?
50:30Like, what are they doing well? Like, this is just an awful effort.
50:34Every player that you could count on, you're saying to yourself, like, oh yeah, like, maybe Joe Alt will be back to being all pro Joe Alt.
50:42Three false starts yesterday, a hold in the end zone.
50:44Justin Herbert, hello, 15 for 27. Yeah, you can point out a couple plays where guys drop passes.
50:49Like, at some point, there are certain quarterbacks that we just continue to make excuses for.
50:54And there are others that we don't. Right? Yeah.
50:57Justin Herbert, no more excuses. Flat out not good enough.
50:59Gigantic bust. It's driving me up a wall right now.
51:02All the pass catchers are... Lad McConkie was hurt yesterday.
51:05He played only 45% of the snaps, but he was under 50% in week one as well.
51:10Lad's a top 20-ish wide receiver. I thought Amar and Hampton was fine yesterday.
51:14Not great. 17.5 fantasy points. He's it, though. Under four yards, maybe just over four yards for carry.
51:19But even Hampton feels like one of those guys that's underwhelmed through two weeks.
51:23Like, just this entire offense is bothering me. They have an absolutely ridiculous schedule coming up.
51:28All the Chargers are disappointing. Hampton's still going to be started.
51:31Lad McConkie will still be on the fringes. Justin Herbert, though, man.
51:34Oh, my God. Could not have been more wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
51:38Did you tell who, from vibes in this room, who was invested in the Chargers' offense?
51:42I think a lot of us were excited, though, but he's not mentioning Mike McDaniel.
51:47And I think that that's a giant part of this problem.
51:50And McDaniel's not scheming for the offensive line talent that he has.
51:53And I will just go off for a second out of pure frustration as well and say that we all thought, McDaniel
51:59sat there and said, oh, I had all these job offers.
52:03I had all these opportunities. I chose Los Angeles because of Justin Herbert.
52:06I wanted that. I wanted that talent. I wanted to unlock it.
52:10I wanted to get my hands on it. Well, girl, get your hands on it.
52:14It's awful right now. Well said, Liz, because it is just incredibly frustrating.
52:18I mean, look at that schedule. We flashed it on the graphic.
52:21Next seven weeks, good luck finding a way to get to even like four and five for the Los Angeles Chargers.
52:27It's been a while since Herbert's been like an established QB one.
52:31And it looked like he was going to be a superstar early in his career.
52:35And it's been years now. Okay. So, I mean, independent of the fantasy side, Mike, he doesn't look like a QB one in real life.
52:42Oh, no, I agree. But he's not even playing like a top 10 QB.
52:46He's playing like a bottom 10 QB right now.
52:48That's shocking. Jaguars go to Denver, had a big lead, and they coughed it up, Mike.
52:53Gritty win for Denver. What did you take away from that?
52:56Yeah, it was pretty impressive. My main takeaway is we have a budding superstar, maybe now an established superstar wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars here.
53:04Parker Washington is for real. Another huge game. 12 targets, seven catches, 98 yards.
53:08Earlier, I teased this. Who's second in the NFL in target share?
53:11I'm going to go ahead and guess. Parker Washington.
53:1337% for Washington. He's a borderline wide receiver one, and he'll be ranked as such going forward.
53:18By me, at least. Yep. You guys do what you think is best.
53:22Thanks for the heads up. If you don't want to, I mean, it's dangerous.
53:26Yeah. How can you not? I agree. He's awesome.
53:29Running game for this team. Another good day for Bashaw Toon on the ground.
53:3313 carries, 65 yards, and a touchdown, but still not much in the passing game, which is really limiting him in terms
53:39of a breakout potential, three yards and two targets.
53:41They're using four running backs, though. They're still working Amir Abdullah into this backfield as well.
53:46Also, I'm hesitant to get too far ahead on Bashaw Toon.
53:49Still more of a flex option, I would say.
53:52And you know what? I'm keeping an eye on Brian Thomas.
53:55Eight targets in this game. He was busy early in week one before he got hurt as well.
54:00They're trying to make him the number two here.
54:02But Jacoby Myers kind of phased out. But Jacoby played 89% of the stats.
54:06Yeah, but they're just not using him. Yeah, they're not using him.
54:10Brian Thomas Jr., dude, the drops are so bad.
54:12They have not gone away. Oh, my God. Thomas for Harrison trade.
54:16Change of scene. Honestly, like, we saw, this is super nerdy, but we saw that Mason Smith trade this offseason with two
54:22teams just swapped second round defensive tackles. I forget who it was for.
54:26Who was that? Oh, man. Alabama and Jacksonville, right?
54:28Mason Smith went to Atlanta and then. Who was it?
54:31Whatever. Not worth wasting our time over. Yeah, we'll get there.
54:34There's a buzzer, guys. That's going to happen. Yeah, Ruka Roe Roe Roe.
54:38There you go. Was it him? Anyways, the bottom line is that, so the Jaguars, Brian Thomas Jr., they're trying to make
54:44it happen, but the drops are just. Parker Washington also, though, a 30-yard, 32-yard grab, something like that.
54:49We would have thought that BTJ would have been the field stretcher or the more vertical option of the two of them,
54:56and so Parker Washington is doing all of the things.
54:58They are trying right now to give Thomas a shot.
55:01Yes, they are. And it's not going great yet, but we'll see.
55:05Broncos side. Jalen Waddell is back. Back note, we said last week, zero concern about this one, and we were right on that.
55:11Eight for 138 on 10 targets, but Corlin Sutton, another dud.
55:14Three for 25. They're really trying to get the ball in the Jalen Waddell's hands right now.
55:19Dunn will have some games. I'm a little worried about him being a consistent top 20 option, maybe more of a flex
55:26for the moment, and we're keeping an eye on a big injury here to J.K.
55:30Dobbins injured his hamstring. We're going to monitor this throughout the week, but again, as you'll discuss on waivers tomorrow, Jonah Coleman,
55:36priority add, had his ups and downs in this game, but did find the end zone.
55:41So if he's out, it will be Jonah Coleman and maybe just Tyler Bidet, because we don't know if R.J.
55:46Harvey, who was out for this game, will be back from injury next week.
55:50So we'll keep an eye on this one. I just want to say some vintage Sean Payton here with 10 different pass catchers targeted throughout the effort.
55:58No, we don't like that. No, we don't like that.
56:01But at least we got a ton of Jalen Waddell.
56:04That was great to see. Let's go to the Dolphins at the 49ers, and we can probably keep it pretty quick on
56:10the Miami side before I tell you where Mike was wrong.
56:13The answer is not really. For Miami, there's kind of only one player that we care about for fantasy week in and week out.
56:20It's Devon H. And Daniel, I think, might be on to something from last week, right?
56:24He was really frustrated by Devon H. And after week one, he had six targets.
56:29So he's now got back to back games with five or more targets does Devon H.
56:33And that's a serviceable number. And his rushing efficiency was okay.
56:36Not great, but okay, right? Nearly four yards per carry.
56:39That seems, there's two problems here for Devon H.
56:42And the elite rushing efficiency in back-to-back games has not been there.
56:45Two, the touchdown equity is just going to be a whole lot harder to come by.
56:50This team is doing it the right way. They're taking it all on the chin this year.
56:55But this is easily a bottom five team in the NFL.
56:58Maybe a bottom two team in the NFL is Miami.
57:01I think A-Chan has graduated downwards, right? From like an RB1 to like probably RB2 slash closer to flex territory.
57:06That's at least in my assessment of him at the moment.
57:09For the Niners, I don't know what Mike was thinking when he was saying that Brock Purdy is in for a monster day.
57:16Because Brock Purdy did have two incompletions yesterday. Wow, that's embarrassing.
57:19Yeah, two. 20 for 22. 287 yards. Two passing touchdowns.
57:22Plus three rushes for 30 yards and a touchdown.
57:2428.5 fantasy points for Brock Purdy. The Dolphins play host to the Chiefs next week.
57:29Crank up on Patrick Mahomes. George Kittle back too.
57:31George Kittle had a big game yesterday. Kittle had a long 40-yard catch and then a touchdown later on.
57:37So Kittle played 51% of the snaps. Turned it into 18 fantasy points.
57:40Great to see. Christian McCaffrey played a bigger role in week two based off snap percentages in week one.
57:46And Kalen Black played less than he did in week one as well.
57:50Kalen Black was down to 29% of the snaps yesterday.
57:52McCaffrey finished with nearly 23 fantasy points. Honestly, wasn't a perfect day from Christian McCaffrey.
57:57He found the end zone twice. This is a hard game to read too much into because of the fact they played Miami.
58:03I know, but goal line gremlin Christian McCaffrey? We'll take it, right?
58:07Well, we will take it, but it is a little bit weird.
58:10I mean, he converted for all four of his looks for 43 receiving yards.
58:14But that is the Christian McCaffrey. He's also averaging, and I know that obviously they were short runs, so this is a bit skewed.
58:21But under two yards per carry after coming off of a really inefficient in terms of rushing season last year.
58:27Just a little over two yards. Yeah. By the way, they played like 55 snaps yesterday.
58:31Yeah, they did only 22 pass attempts. Yeah. Mike Evans left injured, but it seems like he could have probably came back in.
58:38The game is out of hand. Demarcus Robinson looks like a high ankle sprain.
58:42He'll be out probably, I would guess, a month or so.
58:45So, but not a high impact. That Niners wide receiver room is thinning out by the moment.
58:50Let's get to the finale of Sunday night, Mike.
58:52The Chiefs, overtime. They win a last-minute field goal from Harrison Butker to get a 33-30 win.
58:57And the word vintage comes to mind when watching this game last night.
59:01Yeah, no doubt about it. Mahomes is back at least as a passer.
59:04Actually, he was running the ball a little bit as well at 17 yards.
59:08With 382 through the air, 32 for 47, three touchdowns, and a great connection with, to your point, Travis Kelsey.
59:14Caught 9 of 11 targets, 101 yards, and a touchdown.
59:17Right back in the tight end one conversation goes, Travis Kelsey, whatever.
59:20When you say that, do you mean like tight end one overall?
59:24No, no, no. A tight end one. I know, I'm just saying.
59:27I'm just saying. After last night, he looks freaking awesome.
59:30He looked like the tight end one. Yeah, he looked like the tight end one overall.
59:35He looks way faster than he did last year.
59:37Yeah, he does. He said he changed his regimen during the offseason.
59:41He got married, dude. He had to get into wedding shape.
59:44Yeah, he sure did. Wedding shape is different than marriage shape.
59:47But he's in both. I just said that out loud.
59:50He's in both shapes. Whatever shape he's in is good for fantasy.
59:53He's in newly married shape. Yes, he absolutely is.
59:56Before you move on, Mike. Yeah. Travis Kelsey, not just in whatever shape we think he's in, but also a man of the fantasy football people.
60:03Take a listen. Oh, yeah. Okay. On the way out, man, no one cares about anyone's fantasy football team, but I do
60:09want to tell you that last grab, when you turned it up and got 11 yards on the catch, you might have
60:16helped your boy win a game by like .1, so I'm grateful I owe you.
60:20Thank you for that. Good looking out, all right?
60:22I've been a ghost in the fantasy football world for a while, so hopefully I got a few people some victories tonight.
60:29I'm a ball knower. I selected you with good reason.
60:31Hey, do me a favor. Tell your lovely bride I said hello.
60:35Until next time, stay well, all right? I'll see you soon.
60:38Look at that. That's how you acknowledge it right there, Travis Kelsey.
60:41By the way, hasn't been a ghost. All right?
60:44But we love a self-aware king. Yes, no doubt.
60:47He hasn't been at the level he used to be for sure, but he was last night, so that's good.
60:52He had 11 targets in second place on the team with 10.
60:56Ken Walker, the third. This guy doing his best Christian McCaffrey impression here.
60:5924 carries, 117 yards also, six catches for 61 yards in this game.
61:03Their game so far, the first couple weeks of the season, has just been Mahomes drops back, short area throws, just setting up.
61:10Xavier Worthy, for him to make plays with his legs, and the same thing with Ken Walker.
61:14So, Walker very much in the top five conversation at running back.
61:18Rasheed Rice, 83 yards in this one on six targets.
61:21We need a little bit more from him. He's graduated down.
61:24Yeah, he's gone the wrong way. Xavier Worthy going the right way.
61:27We thought he might be post-hype if he's healthy, and he saw seven targets and scored a touchdown in this game.
61:33Not a lineup block by any means, but he's going the right direction.
61:37So, Chiefs offense looking awesome right now. Indianapolis side, you know, Jonathan Taylor.
61:41I mean, what more do you need to say?
61:4324 for 92. Yes, tactics and Jonathan Taylor. And two touchdowns.
61:46Also caught four passes for 40 yards. He's terrific.
61:49Injury to Alec Pierce in this one. He'll injure.
61:51He'll keep an eye on this one. He was carded off.
61:55Don't love that. Not much to say on that yet.
61:57We'll monitor, but if he does miss time, Josh Downs.
62:00Seven for 72 on nine targets in this game was clearly their passing game along with Tyler Warren, who went six for 21 and scored another touchdown.
62:08He had a, he scored him week one as well.
62:11Three for 13. Good start for Tyler Warren. Very quietly, but the guy's just getting the job done.
62:16Yeah, not a lot of yards per catch there for Tyler Warren, but if you're going to see seven targets a game
62:22and scoring back-to-back weeks, you're going to find a way.
62:25You'll get goal line carries, too. This guy's... Also doing better than Colston Loveland, who was drafted at the same point heading into the season.
62:32No doubt. Definitely. No doubt. They're neither, neither one of them is Dalton Kincaid, but perhaps both of them can find their
62:38way to stick around that top five tight end range.
62:41Let's get to the Monday Night Football game because we're not going to have a massive storyline every week for Monday Night
62:48Football, but we got a gigantic one, and that is the status of Puka Nakua, who is iffy at best, I would
62:54say, going into this game Monday night. If it's possible the ship has already sailed, I've seen a lot of leagues where
63:00Puka is in someone's lineup and there's nobody left on the bench, and the IR spot is already appounded for by someone else.
63:07If you still have flexibility, Mike, can you rank the...
63:09Let's call it... I'm trying to think of... The flex options that probably are not lineup blocks already.
63:15Yeah, so if it's a wide receiver slot, you're going to go to Darnell Mooney or Malachi Fields, one of the wide receivers.
63:21If it's a flex, I think I would lean more towards the Rams tight ends.
63:25Colby Parkinson priority one, Terrence Ferguson priority two. Parkinson was the clear number one tight end for them in week one.
63:31I don't know why that would change this week.
63:34He was good down the stretch last year as well.
63:37Sneaky bet for a touchdown or two in this one for sure.
63:40So that would be my order. If you have to go deeper than that, it's Devin Singletary maybe, but again, I'm nervous
63:46about him because what if Najee Harris is active in this game and takes that role?
63:51So he was the passing down back last week.
63:54That's what I'm looking at. I don't think you have many other options.
63:57How excited are you to watch Isaiah Leckley tonight, Liz?
64:00I am moderately excited. Oh, really? I am moderately excited.
64:03I am mostly intrigued because the over-under on this game is still 47 and a half.
64:07Well, the over-unders that I kept remarking on during Fantasy Focus Countdown yesterday is being low.
64:12We're too high as it turned out yesterday because it was a good weekend.
64:16But that seems, I mean, the Rams are favored by six and a half.
64:20Even with question marks around Puka, and I'm just surprised that nothing there.
64:24There's not been more movement. I think Giants are going to make this a game.
64:28But I also feel like it could be a decently high-scoring game.
64:31And we talked about this on FFC when we look at all of the injuries to the cornerback room in New York.
64:38So, I am just feeling, I don't know how it's going to shake out, obviously, if Puka is not available.
64:43But I do feel like Sean McVay coming off of that horrific week one showing and at home is going to have
64:50to summon the firepower from somewhere to make this a ballgame.
64:53And because the matchup is so favorable, he's going to find a way to do it.
64:57And all that talk about 17-0 and the best team in the NFL and the Avengers.
65:02Aaron Donaldback. Super team. He might be that. No Miles Garrett.
65:05Yeah, no Miles Garrett. Probably limited Aaron Donald in this one.
65:08Shapes up for the Giants offense to keep up their momentum from last week.
65:12And as you guys know, I was very invested in them.
65:15So, I'm excited for this one. New regime has a moment to prove that they are real here.
65:20Yeah, this is a big one. John Harbaugh might get a win in SoFi Stadium before Jim Harbaugh this season.
65:26The three of us are all picking the Rams to win.
65:29The producers, though, are on the Giants. I like it.
65:32We'll see if their pivot pays off. That'll do it for our show today.
65:36But do not forget, tomorrow, Liz, me, and Daniel are coming back.
65:39We are talking week three waiver-wired names that you need to know.
65:43Recap Monday Night Football. Anything else that may come up.
65:46We are hoping for good news on Caleb Williams today.
65:49We will see. Until then, from Mike and Liz, I'm Field.
65:52It's a very Monday. We'll see you in the 06010.
65:54Before this, there's this. As you celebrate the game, take a deeper look at its roots.
65:59The people grow in the grass, paving the lots, welding the goalposts, inspecting every football.
66:03The hardworking people that make every Sunday possible. Carhartt is proud to outfit the crews behind the game.
