Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection48:38

The speaker expresses skepticism regarding Cam Ward's potential to succeed, suggesting he may not be a reliable fantasy option.

Insight page

Carson Beck

PositiveValue36:54

Debro and Rich Hribar view Beck as a viable late-round superflex flyer, noting that he doesn't need to be elite to succeed given the talent around him and the likelihood of the Cardinals trailing in games.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveValue11:59

Rich Hribar argues that Christian McCaffrey is a viable 1.03 pick in non-superflex formats because he is the only player who can rival the archetype of the top two picks, allowing for more roster flexibility in subsequent rounds.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveBreakout33:38

Rich Hribar is high on Watson, believing his production will exceed the current negative stigma and that he is poised for one of the best years of his career.

Insight page

Rich Hribar is high on Christian Watson as a value pick, though he notes that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks are also strong values in the same offense.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveValue11:45

D-Bro selects Dak Prescott in the second round of a superflex mock, viewing him as a discount version of Joe Burrow and a solid quarterback option to pair with Puka Nacua.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveUsage35:48

Rich Hribar notes Kincaid's increased route participation in 12 personnel (75% vs 24% last year) and believes he has significant ceiling if he stays on the field.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveProjection25:09

Tara is buying into a bounce-back season for Daniel Jones, citing his mobility and ability to utilize his weapons, though she acknowledges it may take a few weeks for him to fully regain his comfort level.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveProjection23:02

Debro selected Geno Smith as his QB3, citing his status as a reliable starter who plays in an offense with strong skill talent and offensive line infrastructure, making him a safer bet than waiting on volatile options.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveValue24:36

Rich Hribar targets Kittle when waiting at tight end, viewing him as a great player to stash while using bridge options like Isaiah Likely or Juwan Johnson early in the season.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveValue40:14

Isaiah Likely is recommended as a late-round tight end option to round out a team build.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveValue45:50

Javonte Williams is cited as a 'hero RB' candidate who can be paired with other mid-round backs to solidify a roster.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveBreakout24:02

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveValue28:27

D-Bro views Jonathan Brooks as a solid value in the back half of round seven, noting that he is expected to be the primary back in Carolina.

Insight page
PositiveValue45:50

Jonathan Brooks is recommended as a mid-round running back to pair with a hero RB build.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveProjection19:52

Rich Hribar is high on Jordan Love, expecting the Packers to throw more this season due to a shaky front seven and a concentrated pass-catcher room, despite a tough week one matchup.

Insight page
PositiveValue41:01

Jordan Love is identified as a high-value target in the fourth round, with a significant drop-off in quarterback quality once he is off the board.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue4:05

Rich Hribar identifies Josh Allen as the clear 1.01 in superflex formats due to his combination of safety and ceiling, noting that his superflex philosophy is to draft Allen if he is available.

Insight page
PositiveProjection42:18

Rich Hribar views Josh Allen as a 'Gibraltar' asset in superflex, allowing drafters to load up on other positions before securing a second quarterback.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeBust28:01

Rich Hribar is avoiding Jacobs, believing it is unlikely he plays in 2026 and warning that he will likely occupy a roster spot without providing value during the critical early-season waiver period.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveValue43:03

Kyren Williams is highlighted as an exciting RB2 target at the 4/5 turn in superflex drafts.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveBreakout43:08

The speaker maintains that Ladd McConkey is the wide receiver one in his offense, despite differing opinions from others.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveProjection7:04

Tara notes that Lamar Jackson is her clear QB2, separating him from the next tier of quarterbacks like Drake Maye and Joe Burrow due to his superior rushing upside.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveUsage40:36

Malik Willis is praised for his rushing upside, making him an intriguing superflex target, especially when paired with a top-tier quarterback.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveValue20:00

Rich Hribar views Lloyd as a compelling target in the RB20-RB25 range, noting his efficiency after contact and pass-catching ability, despite concerns about his pass protection and lack of a massive college workload.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout29:17

Tara and D-Bro both like Marshawn Lloyd as a high-upside swing, noting that the Packers have vocalized their belief in him and that the job could be his if he stays healthy.

Insight page
PositiveValue45:50

MarShawn Lloyd is noted as a mid-round running back option to help build depth in a hero RB strategy.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveUsage27:06

Debro values Washington for his standalone role and high-end contingent upside, especially given his size-speed profile and the uncertainty surrounding Ashton Gentty.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveUsage19:28

Rich Hribar notes that the addition of David Montgomery and the potential for C.J. Stroud to bounce back in real-life football could benefit Collins, though he remains cautious about Stroud's fantasy target volume.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeProjection8:50

Rich Hribar expresses minor reservations about Puka Nacua's touchdown upside, noting that he was out-targeted in the red zone and end zone by Davante Adams last season, though he acknowledges these are minor quibbles.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveBreakout33:38

Rich Hribar and Tara both express optimism for Johnston, with Hribar predicting he will be the Chargers' true wide receiver one this season.

PositiveProjection15:09

Tara expects a bounce-back season for Saquon Barkley, noting that the Eagles will lean on him heavily as they adjust their passing game and integrate new receivers.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

PositiveUsage23:49

Rich Hribar suggests Allgeier could see more run than expected early in the season due to Jeremiah Love's ankle injury, potentially maintaining a role throughout the year.

Insight page

Tyler Shough

NegativeProjection48:38

The speaker notes that while some analysts see upside in Tyler Shough, others are skeptical of his potential to hit in the NFL.

Insight page

0:20Hello everybody. Welcome into the FantasyPros - Fantasy Football Podcast.
0:23I'm Ryan Warmly. Joined today by a whole bunch of people to do some mock drafting here.
0:28We are week and a half-ish out to a couple weeks.
0:31We're getting there. The football is upon us, D-Bro.
0:33There's no other way to put it. We were talking before the recording here and it would be untrue to say it
0:40snuck up on us, but it really is looming here in just a couple weeks.
0:44Yeah, I'm trying to get all my reps, you know, get as much sleep as I possibly can.
0:49This kind of feels like, for all the parents out there, this feels like the countdown of like, you know, having another
0:55kid or having your first kid where you're like, okay, sleepless nights are coming.
0:59I know it. So I'm trying to get as much sleep as I can while already trying to get ahead of the work for the primer.
1:07I'm actually going to do it this year and be actually about it than talking myself into it and then procrastinating.
1:13So the work has already begun. And you were just talking about that with our big guest today, Rich Rebar from Sharp Football.
1:19Rich, you are also getting ready here for week one and getting those previews going.
1:24Yeah, and this is this has been the longest training camp in NFL history, obviously with the season starting a week later.
1:30And it's felt that way. You know, this time of year, I'm always after we have like several months of all of
1:36us, the echo chamber, everyone kind of thinking about things from like a long view perspective.
1:41I'm excited to actually like talk about things on like a micro level and talk about matchups and games and those types of things.
1:48So I welcome the transition outside of like Derek said, the sleepless nights.
1:51Tara, the draft season has been long. It is not over yet.
1:55We're doing a mock draft today. Superflex mock draft.
1:57How are you feeling going into this one? You know, I'm glad you guys told me it was superflex when I selected it.
2:04I was like, oh, you know what? I'm going to challenge myself and pick from pick four and see, you know, what kind of build I've got now.
2:12It's superflex. I'm like, okay, let's see. It's going to be it's going to be fun, though.
2:17I'm excited. I can probably take the same strategy of going a little bit different.
2:21Well, we'll have some fun here today. Just a reminder for everybody listening that all of our 2026 consensus rankings and tiers
2:28can be found at fantasypros.com slash rankings. I'm going to go ahead and unpause the draft here.
2:32We will get going. I have the first pick.
2:35It's easy for me picking on the ends. So we got a 30 second countdown here.
2:40I don't really need 30 seconds. 101. It's superflex.
2:42I'm not going to over. We're going Lamar Jackson.
2:45No, I'm not going to go home. I'm going to take Josh Allen, the correct pick.
2:49Just the combo of safety and stealing. People don't need me to sell them on Josh Allen.
2:54Number one, so I won't bother doing that. Rich, if you were picking 101, would you have considered going in a different direction from Josh Allen?
3:02Or is it just too obvious of a pick for you?
3:05No, I think my superflex philosophy is basically Josh Allen if he's available.
3:08But I will say after that, like I will just take one of these two running backs that'll be left over here.
3:15Is picking third in that range an area you like to be in in a superflex draft for that reason, knowing you're
3:21going to get one of those two running backs in all likelihood?
3:24No, I honestly pick pick three because I didn't realize it's superflex either.
3:28And I've been workshopping like a take on why you should take CMC third.
3:32And I didn't get a chance to run that through.
3:35But in here, so superflex in general is just, you know, your room better than anyone else.
3:40If you've been in a draft, you know how aggressive your room treats quarterbacks.
3:44I'm in two ongoing superflex drafts right now. And I know that the gamers historically let quarterbacks slide so you can get
3:50a little more aggressive with other positions. But, you know, if this is just going off like QB rankings or the consensus
3:56pool, I'll know I have to get in on quarterbacks sooner than later with, you know, right away you see three of the first five picks being quarterbacks.
4:04So I'll have to make up some ground. But I definitely like the idea of getting like that pocket of QB 12
4:11to 20, maybe two or three guys in that range.
4:14Tara, you go with a quarterback at 104 picking one spot right behind Rich.
4:18You go with Lamar Jackson second quarterback off the board.
4:20Is that an easy call for you if you're going quarterback?
4:24Do you consider Drake May or another QB? No, it's definitely Lamar is my QB too.
4:28I love Drake May, but just the rushing upside is what separates Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson into a little bit of
4:34separate tier there from Drake May and Joe Burrow.
4:37I assumed that our second drafter was going to go with Lamar.
4:40And so I too would be able to go that route of rich with drafting Bijan right there, but did not get him.
4:47That's okay. So we're going to go with Lamar here and see what we can do from there.
4:52Debra on the clock here at 108. It has been all quarterbacks outside of those two running backs going two and three.
4:58So do you pivot here, Debra off a quarterback strategy or do you say you just still need to get one?
5:04This is this is the problem that encompasses super flex.
5:07It's like, do you play chicken with quarterbacks or not with I'm going to go Puka Nakua and just see how the board works out for me.
5:15I can make a case for going quarterback going with Puka here.
5:18We see another quarterback go right behind me and Jalen hurts like so maybe I look back on this pick and hate life, but we shall see.
5:26Rich, if he's going to go away from quarterback here, do you agree with Puka?
5:30Would you got your mark chase if you wanted to pivot off the position?
5:34I think it's more or less dealers choice. I do prefer chase just from like the touchdown insulation where we've seen Nakua over the course of his career.
5:42Not really run super pure and touchdowns even last year in the games he and Devante Adams played.
5:48I mean, he was massively out targeted in the red zone and end zone, but I don't really like it's very minor minor quibbles and split hairs.
5:55Chase goes here at the 110 so far. Just to recap, first 10 picks Josh Allen, Jameer Gibbs, B.
6:01John Robinson, Lamar Jackson, Drake, May Joe Burrow, Jaden Daniels, Puka Nakua, Jalen hurts, Jamar Chase.
6:05JSN goes with the 111. So we have a team up here with the 12th pick.
6:10It will be through the round one fairly straightforward here.
6:13I would say for a super flex draft, I think it's really interesting rounds two and three and super flex when you
6:19start to see some of these names that are going very highly in a one QB draft are still on the board.
6:25You know, in the late second, early third, it starts to get pretty fun taking a look at the names that are available there.
6:32D bro, when it comes back to you, I assume you've got quarterback circled since you went in a different direction with your first pick.
6:39Yeah, I probably will go with the quarterback. It just kind of depends on who's on the board and how far do I want to punt another round?
6:47Because I feel like kind of like after you get outside of the top 11, top 12 quarterbacks, guys with upside rushing ability, what have you.
6:55And it's more of a flat tier than I can make more of a case to punt it down the road a little bit farther.
7:02But the board is kind of working out in my favor.
7:05So I will go ahead and take basically discount Joe Burrow.
7:08I'm going to take Dak Prescott here in my second round pick.
7:12Dak going there, pairing him with Pukunakua for you, D bro.
7:15Rich, I want to hear because Christian McCaffrey just went to a four.
7:19I know this is super flex, but I want to hear your case for him as the one oh three at a one QB format.
7:26Yeah, as we've reached the kind of 11th hour of drafting, the boards have started to take shape like based on draft slot.
7:32And, you know, the a lot of the gamers are picking one and two, which is usually Gibbs, Bison Robinson are swerving
7:39to almost like an anchor, almost flex build. But when you do pick three as I'm on the clock here.
7:44So let's see. Yeah, I'll let you make my pick.
7:47I'll make my pick first. But, you know, when you get to pick three and you were getting Pukunakua or Jamar Chase,
7:53your player of choice to open the year, you were still able to get an RB one early in those drafts in round two.
8:00And that's really dried up. There's been like an arms race to the top 12 running backs this year.
8:06And typically when you come back up on pick three, you're almost swerving the direction where just the best players are available
8:12in rounds two and three and then four and five are wide receivers versus the running backs.
8:17So I like the idea of, you know, I get it.
8:20McCaffrey's not for everyone. He comes with red flags, but we know he's the one player that can rival the archetype of the two players at the top.
8:28And you can take Christian McCaffrey plus receiver receiver or receiver running back.
8:32You just have more flexibility. And I've liked my rosters a lot more going in that direction.
8:37So I was going to throw that out there and workshop from there.
8:40But well, Rich is on the clock again here with three or three.
8:44Tara, you're now on the clock. You're three or four Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, your first two picks.
8:49What direction are you going here? I'm going running back again.
8:52And this was tough because I'm looking at Brock Bowers and he's looking at me.
8:57And I think that would be a nice little fit there.
9:00But I still have one of my key targets who I like to take a swing on with upside.
9:05It's Devon H in. So like him moving forward here to Saquon Barkley.
9:09There's more steady volume guy. I know that people have concerns about the Eagles offense, but overall, we know that this offense
9:15as they try and figure out what happens with this past game, the new receivers that they've added.
9:20They're going to lean on Saquon Barkley. I like him for a bounce back, especially coming off of a year we had
9:27a down year in terms of production to compared to that 2024 Super Bowl year.
9:31So pair that up as a safer pick with a higher risk high upside pick.
9:35And I got potentially two top five running backs there with Lamar Jackson.
9:39So not mad at it. Bowers is always so hard for me to pass up what I'm picking in that two, three turn area.
9:46And I don't like my teams as much when I take him.
9:49So I'm trying to not do it. But man, do I just believe in the player?
9:54And so excited. You know, Fitz has done a lot of shows talking about his really high expectations for Bowers this year.
10:00He goes to 309 in this mock draft. Debro passes on him taking Jackson Dart to pair with Dak Prescott at quarterback here.
10:07I know Dart's been a very common target of yours, Debro.
10:10Yeah, I mean, it's it's ceiling and floor with the rushing and everything that goes with Jackson Dart.
10:15I mean, you take the Minnesota Vikings game away.
10:18We're discussing a guy that was the QB one fantasy points per game.
10:21The only thing that was rivaling him like I mean, he was producing outside of that one game really scored one fantasy point.
10:28He was out producing Josh Allen on a per game basis.
10:31So going with Jackson Dart here felt pretty good.
10:34If he would have been off the board, I would have punted quarterback another round.
10:38So, you know, feel pretty good about the quarterback room so far.
10:41Yeah, I haven't counted, but a lot of quarterbacks off the board here already.
10:45Obviously, Kyler Murray just goes at the 408 Tara on the clock here.
10:49She's got one quarterback right now and gets the pair with Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers here.
10:54Tara, we, of course, at Fantasy Fest talked about Zay Flowers as a potential league winner this year.
10:59It's a player you're all over. Yeah, we'll win you over over the next week and get you on Team Zay.
11:05But I first of all can't can't resist pairing up and getting the nice little stack there with Lamar Jackson.
11:11Ideally, I probably if Kyler Murray did not go, I would have maybe reached for Kyler Murray right not even reach but grab Kyler Murray right there.
11:18But given the fact that there is a nice little tier after I think I can push quarterback back a little bit secure my wide receiver one.
11:26I was planning to take my second quarterback here at the turn and that was going to be Jordan Love.
11:32Rich takes him at the 410 instead. Rich, are you buying into the, you know, especially with all the Josh Jacobs stuff earlier this week?
11:39I'll let you make your pick here, but I want to get your opinion on this offense and how pass heavy you
11:45expected to be with Jordan Love this year. Yeah, I was already ahead here on Jordan Love in the Packers passing game.
11:52I thought they were a team them in the Buffalo Bills, I think are two good teams that I think are going to throw more this year.
11:59Even with even outside of the Josh Jacobs stuff.
12:02This is the weakest Green Bay offensive line airing year they've had.
12:05We don't know when Micah Parsons is going to be Micah Parsons again this year that the front seven looks pretty shaky for the Packers.
12:12And they're gonna have this concentrated, you know, pass catcher room, which they haven't had the past couple years.
12:18I think they're gonna play a lot more 11 personal.
12:21They also have a fantastic schedule. You have a really tough week one game on the road in Minnesota, but then like
12:27games like Jets, Falcons, potential shoots out shootouts against Buccaneers, Bears, fantasy playoff games against the Dolphins and Bears as well.
12:33So yeah, I was already pretty high on Jordan Love a really efficient player.
12:37I think it's gonna get more value in this year.
12:40Tara most teams are about five picks in at this point.
12:43You take a Mecca Bucca with your most recent pick.
12:46Is there anybody's build who you sort of like the core of their team most so far through five rounds?
12:52You know, I do love, I love the Jane Daniels, Trevor Lawrence pairing in the first round by Mac.
12:57I also love the one at the turn with Caleb Williams, Justin Herbert, then doubling up at running back in the fourth
13:03and fifth with Ashton Gentey and Travis Etienne. That's a nice combo there in terms of two receivers and also grabbing the wide receiver once.
13:10So yeah, I think I lean towards that any given Monday, but I always enjoy those picks at the turn teams on
13:17the back end and capitalizing on running backs. It's funny how we switched to super flex, but you can still capitalize on
13:23the kind of mid round area high end safe options for running back.
13:27Definitely Debra. Do you have a favorite build to start?
13:30You're on the clock here also. I mean, I really like Rich's high T build.
13:34I'm so curious of how Rich's team turns out at wide receiver and apparently I'm just all in on Cowboys right now
13:40considering I've got tacked Javante Williams falls to me.
13:43And then I was really hoping David Montgomery fell to me.
13:46He goes the pick right before me. So I'll just take Terry McLaurin and kind of finish out a strong three wide
13:52receiver kind of hero running back build so far.
13:55Yeah, I'll let Tara and Rich make their back to back picks here.
13:58I really like Watticus Jameer Gibbs at the one Oh two CD lamb to 11 still gets Brock Purdy in the third round of super flex.
14:06And then the upside I think of Devante Smith and Jalen Waddle is really nice.
14:10So that wide receiver room is really strong and has the hero running back if they can pull off a second quarterback,
14:17then then I'll be really impressed with that team.
14:19I think Rich while I make my pick is there a favorite build that you see so far on the board?
14:25I mean, yeah, I mean, I like my team a lot.
14:28So I'm going to support mine. No, I think in the in the back here.
14:33I like the Jamar Chase Amon Ra start and then you come back with my homes and Stafford and they get Colson Loveland and Jeremiah Love.
14:40If you know, they put some together here at RB2.
14:43That's a team that could be fun and have a lot of upside because I think when you pick at the back
14:49and super flex leagues, it's hard to chase what the teams have done in the front, right?
14:54Like you're you're not going to chase the run down the Josh Allen drafter by doing the same type of team structure
15:00that the Josh Allen drafter did because they're already ahead of you.
15:04So I love that approach there in the back.
15:06Terry, you go with Daniel Jones as your second quarterback.
15:09So you're buying into a healthy bounce back here for Jones.
15:12I am. I'm just like Parker Washington here real quick.
15:15But yeah, yeah. Buying into Daniel Jones with the bounce back.
15:18It might take him maybe four weeks or so to capitalize on getting the mobility back and feeling good and comfortable.
15:24But I'm good with the fact that we have seen him fairly early in training camp.
15:29It's not as if he was pushing up towards question marks like let's say the Michael Penix, right?
15:34That would make me uncomfortable if he was a target.
15:37He's not. But if he was a target that timeline for his injury would make me uncomfortable leaning towards him as a quarterback coming off of an injury.
15:45But we got enough of a gap with Daniel Jones.
15:48We saw the upside that he offers his ability to take advantage of his weapons, the rushing upside that he has touchdown opportunities on the ground as well.
15:56So for your last call at RB and quarterback for your QB twos, Daniel Jones is the one that I would like
16:02to target once you get past all of the Kyler Murray's and Bakers and Malik Willis.
16:07Rich, you've obviously gone wide receiver back to back picks.
16:09Do you get nervous waiting so long and especially in a 12 team league where you start three receivers waiting as long as you did at wide receiver?
16:17Not so much here because it's half point PPR and I know I can kind of just throw like touchdown equity at
16:24the board, which is kind of what I did with Christian Watson and Mike Evans, like guys that are made for half point PPR.
16:31Like they're not going to give you a lot of eight for 75 games, but they're going to give you a lot
16:37of potentially, you know, four for four for 80 in a touchdown games or five for 70 in two touchdown games.
16:43So in the half point PPR, I really wanted to just kind of go running back forward.
16:48And so we'll see what we can if we can land the plane here.
16:52But I think there's a couple of guys here that I think also felt the half 50 half point touchdown upside builds
16:58here too for wide receiver there left. We'll see what we can see what we do.
17:03Debra one pick away from your next selection. You took Jonathan Brooks in round seven.
17:07Obviously, somebody that we've talked a lot about that.
17:09Every show has talked a lot about this whole summer.
17:12Or it's super flex, you know, back half of round seven.
17:15Does that feel to you like, oh, you've got a great value?
17:19Are you more just like, oh, that's about market rate and I'm feeling good.
17:23What's your reaction to taking Brooks there? Feels like about market rate.
17:26I mean, I think he's going to go anywhere like round five, round six and a lot of your regular, you know, one quarterback drafts.
17:33I think looking at especially the build of this team, I needed to like even him versus some other guys on the
17:40board at that point, like Travion Henderson. Like, what do you think about him?
17:44Basial Tootin, who's getting the goal line work? So I think Jonathan Brooks is going to be the guy in Carolina.
17:50So especially looking at it, like building this team backwards, going more wide receiver heavy and now kind of like slamming running backs, getting Jonathan Brooks.
17:57And then I go with Marshawn Lloyd with my next pick and taking the upside swing with him.
18:02I feel pretty good about the running back room where I was kind of like, I don't know how it's going to work out.
18:09Yeah. Tara, where are you taking Marshawn Lloyd with all the Josh Jacobs stuff?
18:13I was taking him at that pick deeper. So thank you on that one.
18:17Yeah, this is this. I mean, super flex, you know, account for it.
18:21I think round six is perfectly fine. And once you get past those guys who are clear, locked in RB ones without
18:27a question, or at least, you know, like committee guys that at least have the 1A or at least high upside.
18:33I'm OK with then taking a leap of faith.
18:36We know that there was Caleb Johnson added in.
18:38Perhaps he becomes something. But at the end of the day, the Packers have vocalized that they do believe in Marshawn Lloyd.
18:45So if he can stay on the field, I do think the job is his.
18:49Rich, you make your third quarterback selection here with CJ Stroud.
18:52I was between him and Sam Darnold when I was making my second QB selection.
18:56I felt very torn on it, actually more torn than I kind of expected to when I was actually on the clock here.
19:03Do you prefer Stroud to Darnold or would you have gone Darnold if he was there?
19:08No, I actually think Stroud is kind of this year's Darnold in a sense.
19:12I know I've talked to Debra about this. Like he's I'm giving Nick Haley one more chance.
19:16I know he's not. I'm giving him just one more chance just to see just to see what the the better offensive line.
19:23And I thought would, you know, a month ago looked like a healthier wide receiver room.
19:28But I still think, you know, Nico Collins and the addition of David Montgomery.
19:32I want to at least see if he does some of the pushes some of the easy buttons that I wish that they would have pushed last year.
19:40Yeah, I'm very much buying in on on Stroud bouncing back in real life football.
19:44I'm a little more uncertain about, you know, how much of a target I want to make him in fantasy.
19:50I think I would have taken him at that spot if not for the Jaden Higgins injury.
19:54That was enough to kind of sway it for me.
19:57But I still see them as pretty close there.
20:00Actually, Rich, I do want to circle back to get your opinion on Marshawn Lloyd as well, just because I do think
20:06it's going to be a really compelling case to see where his ADP ends up with Josh Jacobs now missing in a determinate amount of time.
20:14I think he belongs on the surface, at least in that bucket of kind of unproven players that don't have a huge sample of the Jerry and prices.
20:22The basial to ends like, you know, good offense if things were to work out, obviously, is there risk?
20:27Of course there is. But that's why the running backs are priced that way, like around like that RB 20 to RB 25 range.
20:34I mean, Mal floor has consistently produced running back points.
20:37I mean, this is a prospect I like to coming out.
20:40I mean, never had a huge workload in college at both stops, but good after contact player can catch the football.
20:46Pass protection remains the issue. Probably the biggest question mark.
20:49I think we'll see Chris Brooks play long down and distant stuff, but it's the Shanahan coaching tree.
20:54Like if you're going to have one spot where you can just throw running backs at the wall, like this would be the system, right?
21:0130 years ago, an island off Manhattan almost brought down New York City.
21:05Who will you trust? Your friends and neighbors? Or will you trust the people five miles overseas?
21:10This is a story about neighbors turning on each other.
21:12And what happens when a forgotten place decides it's had enough?
21:16We reached for a feeling that exists in this city.
21:18But we're not stopping, are we? I'm Ben Nadeff-Haffrey.
21:21And for my new series on revisionist history, I took a deep dive into Staten Island's attempt to secede from New York City in the 1990s.
21:28And what it all has to do with the politics of resentment that dominate America today.

21:39I'm Jake Brennan, and on my podcast, Hollywoodland, I revisit some of the biggest stories from Hollywood history, separating the myths people
21:45want to believe from the reality underneath them. Like how the story of Marilyn Monroe isn't just the story of a Hollywood icon.
21:52Marilyn Monroe has become so iconic that her death can only be explained through conspiracy theories.
21:56And for some fans who can't let go, these stories have metastasized from conjecture to accepted fact.
22:01So on August 4th, 1962, Marilyn Monroe died. Then the rumors started, and she died again.
22:06And now, we're going to set the record straight and learn about the way Marilyn Monroe actually died.
22:11The third way. Learn more about what happens when fame, media obsession, and conspiracy collide.
22:15Listen to Hollywoodland on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
22:19On Big Lives, we take a single cultural icon.
22:22People like Jane Fonda, George Michael, Richard Pryor. And we pull apart the story behind the image.
22:27And we do this by digging through the BBC's vast archive.
22:30We're talking iconic moments in broadcast history. I'm not just a boxer.
22:33I'm educated. I can talk all week on millions of subjects.
22:37And forgotten interviews that change how we see these giants of our culture.
22:40Well, if changing the system from the ground up is revolutionary, then I'm revolutionary.
22:44We're here for the messy, the brilliant, the human version of our heroes.
22:48I mean, when I go on stage, I like to dress as slutty as possible because it makes me dance better for some reason.
22:55I'm Emmanuel Jochi. I'm Kai Wright. And this is Big Lives.
22:58Listen to Big Lives on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get podcasts.
23:02Debro, take in Sam Laporta and Geno Smith with your two most recent picks.
23:06So you're buying in on a bounce back for Gino then?
23:09I mean, I felt like the QB3 market was kind of like it was Gino.
23:14And then I don't want to get stuck with Jacoby Brissett, Aaron Rodgers playing the Raiders game or the Falcons quarterback game
23:20or who's starting for the Browns for the full season.
23:23So I felt like he was the last guy where it's like, OK, he's going to start all the games at this
23:29offense, outperforms expectations, which they've got the skill talent to do it.
23:33And the offensive line infrastructure that I felt like he was the last guy of, OK, I feel OK about QB3 versus
23:39just going to wait and see what happens. I'm on the clock here.
23:43Rich, for not the first time, takes the player that I was planning on taking.
23:47And I've got to pivot. It's a good pivot.
23:49Yeah. You know, Algier, obviously, you know, with Jeremiah Love ankle stuff going on, you know, kind of an early season play
23:56and maybe even throughout the season gets some more run than you would think, given the high draft capital spent on Jeremiah Love.
24:02And then Jonah Coleman, just an upside in a backfield where, A, there could be a lot of opportunity, you know, assuming another J.K.
24:09Dobbins injury, which has happened every year of his career almost.
24:12And also just a player that Sean Payton has talked up a lot, a player I liked watching at Washington.
24:18I had him in a campus of Canton League, so I was a fan of his in college and just think he's
24:24a good player and can imagine the fit being pretty nice in what I think is going to be a good team
24:31that wins a lot of games in Denver. So going back to back running backs there, Rich, you go with George Kittle.
24:37He's been a favorite target of mine when I wait at tight end.
24:41Feels like it'll be pretty easy to, you know, pass pass through the first couple of weeks with whoever you need to
24:47pick up for whatever time he's not playing. And then you're getting this great player back on the field, hopefully relatively soon.
24:53Yeah, he's great to pair with like a guy like Isaiah Likely, who's, you know, could get a little bump while neighbors is getting up to 100 percent.
25:01Same thing with Juwan Johnson while Jordan Tyson's out.
25:04So he fits a lot of guys that could have like hotter starts to the kind of nurse you along to the
25:10bridge where Kittle's up and playing, you know, 100 percent and hopefully 100 percent for the season.
25:15That's the other thing that does come with Kittle is, yeah, he get back on the field for this thing.
25:21But when's the next shoe drop for George Kittle?
25:23And then the other pick that you make here in those last two, Casey Concepcion, the player that I was targeting myself.
25:29I know a favorite of D bros. The question is the quarterback situation, but I think the player is really good.
25:35He I'm probably not as worried about. I mean, you would love the quarterback to be good, obviously, but the way he's going to be utilized.
25:43I think he's going to be utilized a lot like rookie year Jalen Waddle, where like he's just given so much like free squares and easy targets.
25:51Like I could really see a world where Casey Concepcion runs like 100 plus more routes than the next closest rookie wide
25:57receiver could even flirt with maybe 90 to 100 receptions, too.
26:00It doesn't help me out here in the half point PPR.
26:03He's not necessarily geared towards the scoring, but I felt like if I didn't take him there, I wouldn't get him.
26:09And Tara Kyle, a guy dealing with his own injury stuff, a player who I really liked earlier in the summer.
26:15And I still definitely do like once he's back on the field.
26:19Just there's nobody really in the NFL who's running game designs and play calling.
26:23I trust more than Ben Johnson. And I think the Bears are going to be really good in his second season running that offense.
26:30And I think the guy is going to be really valuable once he's back on the field.
26:34Same. And I love the discount that we were getting on because we got to remember when he was healthy.
26:40This was a guy that was going like back to back with Blake Corum.
26:44So if you look at where Corum went in round nine, make that gap all the way to where we are picking him.
26:51That is significant value for a guy that you're not even going to need immediately right off the bat.
26:56You're on the clock here again. Tara DeBrogue and Romeo Dobbs and Mike Washington obviously playing into some of the uncertainty with
27:02Ashton Gentty there with the Washington pick. Do you see significant upside for Washington in any games that Gentty misses or is limited?
27:09Or I actually forget where you had Washington as just a prospect coming into the NFL, DeBrogue.
27:14Pre-draft, he was my RV2 of the class. I really liked him a lot.
27:18Size, speed, freak. I mean, everybody knows that. More of an upright runner.
27:22But he's got some shiftiness to him and everybody's seen that in the preseason.
27:26I think like pulling him up the board because I know he was a little bit further down in the running back rankings here.
27:32I needed to go back to the running back well after.
27:36I mean, I've got a really strong wide receiver room getting Romeo Dobbs in a high volume passing offense.
27:41I kind of feel like Mike Wash is probably the last of like a guy that I feel like has a standalone
27:47role that we can kind of buy into and high end contingent upside to.
27:51So getting him here, I felt really good about that, especially with already adding Dobbs and feeling good about my wide receiver room.
27:58Rich, one pick before you take Aaron Jones is Josh Jacobs.
28:01Are you interested in just like a late round flyer on Jacobs or are you just avoiding him like not even on your draft board at this point?
28:09Yeah, I'm largely avoiding him, but I'm not going to fault anyone for using like a low equity pick on him.
28:15I just think that the tea leaves probably point more signs and that we're not going to see Josh Jacobs play football in 2026 than we will.
28:23If you in like I don't know if your league like allows like requirements to have like a player that's suspended on IR.
28:29If that doesn't happen, that's another whole another can of worms to open up because he's just going to be sitting there eating a roster spot.
28:37When the churn is the largest to open the year, right?
28:40Like you don't have any injuries yet, but the waiver wires, the hottest you're going to start having injuries.
28:45So I'm just going to let someone else probably deal with it.
28:49But if you want to use like one of your last couple picks on him, like.
28:53Go ahead. Tara, I like the Kayshawn booty pick.
28:56I was eyeing him at the turn when I took a couple of receivers and opportunity in Houston.
29:01And if there's any kind of bounce back from Stroud in this offense, I think booty is going to be a real beneficiary.
29:08Yeah, it's funny because I was looking at Denzel Boston.
29:10So those were the two that I had queued up there because I love him a lot, too.
29:16But pivoted there to Kayshawn booty. I think people get a little hung up on the lack of volume and receptions and
29:22overall targets that he had in New England. But at the end of the day, he his catch rate was incredible.
29:28His touchdown opportunities are there. So he's a high upside play that I think will have a very specific role now that Jaden Higgins is out.
29:35Be a significant deep threat in an offense that can give Nico Collins a little bit more flexibility, but also offer some high upside value for Kayshawn.
29:43Just a couple more picks here and then we'll take a few minutes to look at the draft analysis offered by fantasy
29:49pros and see what we could have done differently.
29:52Who's projected to win the league? All that fun stuff.
29:55Very quick moving mock draft here. A lot faster than we usually have.
29:58So we're we're absolutely flying. Helps having a couple of auto picks in there.
30:02Of course, final pick is up. That's me. I was getting prepared for the analysis and not ready to make my pick.
30:09I'll take a say I've been late round picks throughout all draft season.
30:13Just I want to take as many swings on the Chargers offense as I can.
30:17I'll take Trey Harris here to wrap things up.
30:19Let's take a look at some of the analysis going on here.
30:23I got an A minus the third highest ranked team.
30:26That's as well as I've done in a while.
30:28Usually I feel like the system doesn't like my drafting approach very much.
30:32It looks like today the two teams that it didn't like very much are half of this episode.
30:37Tara and Debro are 11th and 12th. Thankfully, our guest Rich Rebar is a little higher than that.
30:42Barely. Yeah, not by much. It is very concentrated there in the last four or five spots if you look at sort
30:49of the graph of the projected standings there. But also it's not a wide gap from anybody.
30:53I mean, number one is an 899 score and number 12 is an 818 score.
30:58So that's, you know, within 80 something points. Not anything crazy.
31:01Let's take a look at some of the expert opinions here.
31:04Oh, the two people who hate my draft most are Andrew Erickson and Derek Brown.
31:08That's very fun. Thanks a lot. On brand, baby.
31:11Thanks a lot. You hate my whole wide receiver room.
31:14My three least favorite picks of yours are Justin Jefferson, Ladd McConkie, and Roma Dunze.
31:18Yeah, pretty much. We do not like my receivers at all.
31:21Erickson doesn't like my Derek Henry pick. I'm going to disagree with him on that one.
31:26And then one of the cool things that you can see when you're doing a mock draft with Fantasy Pros is the
31:32pick analysis where it'll show you, hey, if you went back and switched the positions you took at these two spots, how much higher could you have ranked?
31:40If I had taken Drake London at the 301 instead of Derek Henry and then waited all the way to round 12
31:46to flip those positions, taking Aaron Jones instead of Denzel Boston, I would be actually in first place projected to win this league according to our system.
31:54So it did not like the Henry pick either.
31:57Debro, how does your team look? I actually feel really good about this team even though I'm 12th.
32:02Like I feel good about the quarterback room. I think it's a really strong wide receiver team.
32:07I backed it up with a lot of like volume and maybe some upsides.
32:11Like I get the running back room like can kind of look a little more sketchy, but I look at Jonathan Brooks
32:17and Marshawn Lloyd as high upside picks. Is there volatility there?
32:20Sure. So maybe I should have taken like, you know, another running back.
32:24I look at pick analysis and it's telling me that I should have gone Jalen Hurts and Alec Pierce over Puka Nakua and Geno Smith.
32:31I mean, considering the quarterback room I built not going Hurts in the first round, I feel pretty good about it.
32:37And Alec Pierce, I'm not saying he's not do not draft for me, but I'm still kind of wary about him.
32:43Yeah, I think that's fair. Rich, how does your team look?
32:46Yeah, I would feel pretty strong about this. I've played in a few super flex leagues with Debro and he knows I
32:52tend to do things like this anyways. Yes, you do.
32:55Yes, you do. I generally usually don't have a problem doing like mid-round quarterbacks in super flex leagues.
33:00My big suggestion was flipping Lamar Jackson and Bijan Robinson and that was like a plus like 99 points or whatever in that thing.
33:07I've done two of these now and it hasn't been awkward where no one on the panel has disliked my team, but
33:13both of them, Andrew Erickson really liked my team and I don't know how to feel about that.
33:19You know, I feel great about that. Is that a big positive?
33:22But I've drafted teams he liked as well. But for a half-point PPR league, this one feels pretty good and I'd love
33:28to go into work with these running backs and these wide receivers.
33:32I know Debro in particular is high on two receivers that I've taken and I don't believe that the stigma both of
33:38these guys have caught to this point is going to bear out in their production this year and that's Christian Watson and Quentin Johnston.
33:45I think that these guys are going to have two of the best years of their career and not be as volatile
33:51as their, you know, image kind of projects them to be to the outside.
33:55Quentin Johnston, the real wide receiver one for the Chargers this year.
33:59I've said it and I'll say it again. Well, that...
34:01There we go. I think Johnston will be very good.
34:04I don't know if I would go so far as to agree with that, but we'll see.
34:09He was the wide receiver one last year, so he's going to run it back.
34:14That's right. Tara, how are you feeling about your team?
34:16What's the analysis say? I love my team and the analysis shows that I love my team because the expert that loved me the most was me.
34:24So I was authentic to myself. So there we go.
34:27But I get why the draft grade didn't like mine.
34:30They were not a fan of my wide receivers.
34:32And ideally, they did not want me to take Saquon.
34:35I could have gotten my QB2 there. Brock Purdy was one of the suggestions.
34:39And then the suggestion was that I could have flipped quarterbacks in C.J.
34:43Stroud, Dalton Kincaid, instead of Harold Fannin Jr. and Shudder Sanders.
34:46Look, Shudder is the QB3. I wouldn't have even felt compelled to pick that if I had another quarterback that I...
34:52Or if I didn't really have a... I had another sleeper at that point that I would have liked to go over a QB3.
34:59I can't say that in any scenario, I want Dalton Kincaid over Harold Fannin Jr.
35:03on my team. I think the gap between those two is really aggressive.
35:07We're talking about with Buffalo, a team that added in DJ Moore.
35:10They subtracted nothing. And just how much pass volume are we really expecting from that team to be able to shift significant
35:17targets on a tight end that has finished his tight end 20 and tight end 30 in back-to-back years.
35:22So I can't say that that's the one that I would have done.
35:26But I totally get why the wide receivers weren't loved.
35:29I went with Zay Flowers, Emeka Ibuka, Parker Washington, Wandale Robinson, and then Kayshawn Booty.
35:33So on the surface, you know, those would not be producing one of the automatic proven high-end top 10 guys.
35:39But they have a lot of volume potential and a lot of promise.
35:42So it can add up once we get into the actual season.
35:46Rich, you did take Dalton Kincaid in your draft.
35:48Is he somebody that you do see some ceiling with in this offense this year?
35:53Or is it more just somebody to get you, again, kind of past those first few weeks with Kittle banged up?
35:59A little bit of column A and column B.
36:01He's a guy that I definitely think has his faults.
36:04It just depends on how much he's going to get on the field in terms of route participation.
36:09You know, we always hear this time of year, you know, the players in the best shape of his life or players put on weight.
36:16But I do think for Kincaid, it is significant.
36:19He worked with Derek Samuel. He's a trainer in San Diego who worked early in his career with Keenan Allen and Zach
36:25Ertz, guys that had lower body injuries. And they were able to kind of get them on the path to physical strength and get them on the field.
36:33It's a very small sample in the preseason. But, I mean, he did play on 75% of the 12 personnel snaps, which
36:40last year he was at like 24%. So if he can just get on the field more, we know on a per
36:46target and a per opportunity basis, he is a good pass catcher.
36:49He's just got to get on the field more than he has these first two years.
36:54By the way, Debra, we kind of skipped past it quickly, but Rich's last pick, Carson Beck, what do you make of
37:00that as, you know, kind of a late-round flyer in a super flex format?
37:04I mean, building out like a later quarterback room like Rich did, like going love Baker Mayfield and then Stroud as QB3.
37:10Like Beck could be, I mean, if not like a bi-week guy, but I mean, he could be filling in for CJ
37:17Stroud if like he doesn't hit as his QB3.
37:19I think any late darts on quarterbacks in super flex formats, like Shudder Sanders, you want to go with like, you drafted
37:26any one of these guys, you want to take a flyer on the QB2 for a roster.
37:30I think it's definitely viable, especially a place like with the Arizona Cardinals.
37:34Dude, Beck doesn't have to be amazing. Just play freaking point guard, dude.
37:38That's it. Like the skill players around him are freaking fantastic.
37:41And we know that they're going to be trailing in games because the defense isn't good either.
37:46So Beck is a fine flyer like this late in a super flex.
37:50Like it. By the way, the team that is projected to finish first in this league, picking 10th, Jamar Chase, Amirah St.
37:56Brown, Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, Jeremiah Love, Colston Loveland, Basial Tootin, Travion Henderson, Cortland Sutton, Chuba Hubbard.
38:01They picked up Jacoby Brissette later. They picked up Trey Tucker and Keaton Mitchell later.
38:05That's a pretty fun team. That's one that you highlighted earlier, Rich, that you thought looks pretty good.
38:10I mean, again, Jamar Chase going 10th, you know, even in a super flex that feels like really high upside to me.
38:17Still getting Mahomes and Stafford as your quarterbacks and getting an elite tight end.
38:21And, you know, if Jeremiah Love ends up healthy at all, Rich, like that looks like a really fun squad.
38:26Yeah, absolutely. I mean, the one bummer of being so in on Christian Watson is when you take Christian Watson, the other two Packers guys are also values.
38:34Like I was like Jaden Reed was the highest player on my board for like two rounds.
38:39And but when you have Christian Watson, it's hard to take that second, that second Green Bay guy.
38:44That's the only rub with being so in on Christian Watson is I actually think Reed and Golden are pretty good values as well.
38:51Tara, any other teams that stand out to you that you really like their build?
38:55I like the build of, you know, I can't, I can't.
38:59Now this one is risky, but I actually, you know what?
39:02Scratch that. I like Rich's build a lot. I like the RB heavy significantly.
39:06I think doubling up at quarterback was good. Wide receivers.
39:09I am, I am, as I said, pro Quentin Johnston in terms of the upside of him being wide receiver one.
39:15So I love, yeah, overall structure of that team coming out very good there.
39:19I think it's, it's interesting because in super flex leagues with the depth that we have at quarterback, like Debra was saying,
39:25in terms of pushing that QB out of the first round and still ending up with two solid quarterbacks, you don't have
39:31to immediately pass up the value of high end running backs or high end wide receivers and target a lesser value quarterback.
39:37You can wait a little bit, push it back and still end up with some solid options.
39:42Can I talk about one team we haven't mentioned yet with Steeler Girl?
39:46I really like this build, man. Like Jalen Hurts, Christian McCaffrey, Brock Bowers the first three rounds and then ending up with
39:52a wide receiver room of Chris Alave. Yeah, Carnall Tate, it could be kind of shaky.
39:57We can more, but getting Stefan Diggs and then an upside shot of Makai Lemon, Jordan Tyson.
40:02Like, look, I know he's not gracing your lineup for maybe like half the season this year, but could he be a stretch run guy?
40:09And like, as your wide receiver, what? One, two, three, four, like wide receiver five, perfectly fine with that.
40:14And then pairing Isaiah likely, like as a late round tight end, I, I really liked this build, especially like with the
40:21way that they work backward, constructed the wide receiver and running back rooms after going quarterback, running back, and then paying up for tight end.
40:28I'm really surprised Steeler Girl isn't projected higher in the kind of standings.
40:31It's 10th, which I agree. That feels low to me with a quarterback room of Hurts and Willis.
40:37You get Bowers, Montgomery and McCaffrey as you're running backs and the wide receivers you mentioned.
40:41Like, I think that's a pretty good build. I would agree with you there.
40:45I want to ask you, Rich, as we start to wrap up, sort of stylistically, you obviously have talked about being very
40:51willing to go with sort of that middle quarterback range.
40:54I would have loved to have paired Josh Allen with a quarterback that I liked a little bit more than Sam Darnold.
41:01As I mentioned, I was really targeting Jordan Love in round four before you took him.
41:05I love that pick. What do you make, when you are somebody in a super flex draft who gets a Josh Allen
41:11or a Lamar or a Drake May, do you tend to go with more of that like hero QB build where you
41:18say, hey, I have the one really elite guy.
41:20I can wait a bit on the second one.
41:23Let me load up at running back or receiver or even with a Josh Allen, do you want to say, I want
41:29to get a Brock Purdy or a Bo Nix and really double down at the position?
41:34How do you approach it if you get one of those elite guys early?
41:38Yeah, similar to the former, like you said. I mean, when you have a guy like Josh Allen, you're trying to just
41:44get as many front end assets at the other positions you can.
41:47It's why a lot of the gamers this year in non-super flex that take Jameer Gibbs and Bijon Robinson kind of have the same approach, right?
41:55You're trying to just have as many haymakers to drop when we get to the fantasy playoffs.
42:00That's why you see that Josh Allen typically go to like the Gibbs or Bijon drafter in round three in like a
42:06lot more general population leagues because when we get to the fantasy playoffs, I got two guys that might score 60 points.
42:12Like then we'll see what happens. We'll let the rest take care of itself.
42:16So I do tend to go that route, but it's more or less just like letting the board come to you at
42:23quarterback at that point because you already have your kind of Gibraltar guy and Josh Allen.
42:27You just missed. Like you could have taken, I guess, Baker, but when Jordan Love is off the board, like it's a pretty big drop off.
42:35You have Baker, who I think is probably close, but then you go to Malik Willis and then Shuck, Daniel Jones.
42:41You're already in kind of an almost a no man's land.
42:44I do like the pro arguments for guys like Willis and Shuck too.
42:48It's just like they're on, they do represent also an element of risk versus guys that you took in that same range.
42:54Yeah, I feel exactly the same way you just described.
42:57Like I like Willis. I like Shuck. Those are, you know, intriguing targets to me, but at the four or five turn
43:03with already having Allen, I'm thinking like Kyron as an RB2 is somebody I'm really excited about.
43:08You know, I like the upside of lad. I'll still call him wide receiver one in that offense, even if half the show disagrees.
43:15So it just felt hard to pass up those types of names for what I do think is a really intriguing upside there.
43:21If they had gotten back to, you know, around six, seven, then of course I'd have been, you know, intrigued there as well.
43:28Debra, how do you feel about that? You know, sort of that hero QB type of approach versus just letting the board fall to you.
43:35I know you are somebody in doing a lot of drafts with you who does usually like to take two QBs early in super flex.
43:42Yeah, I mean, I just kind of read the board and it depends on draft position, like where I'm at.
43:48Like if I was drafted from the one spot, I would have automatically gone with Josh Allen.
43:53The only difference that I would have done were with your team build.
43:56I understand you go and lad my cocky in round five.
44:00I would have gone with Baker. Like honestly, like if it was me in round five, I would have gone Malik Willis
44:06and had the rushing upside pairing of Josh Allen and Malik Willis because I felt like with the wide receivers that were
44:12left on the board, you could catch the end of a tier.
44:16Like you could have gone like, you know, maybe I mean like a Watson or DJ Moore or something.
44:21Like they didn't fall to you in this draft, but like one of those wide receivers of Terry Watson, DJ Moore could
44:27have fallen or going like with another upside guy.
44:30Like I would have probably gone with the QB two in round five, but I understand why you didn't considering at that
44:36point of the draft, your only wide receiver was Justin Jefferson.
44:39At that point, to that point, if I had known that Jameson Williams and Roma Dunze were getting back to me with
44:46my next two picks, I would have felt better about taking a Baker or a Willis there.
44:50And you're right. I was eyeing both Watson and Moore who went the two picks right before there too.
44:56So there was a few options there that did end up getting back to me at that next turn.
45:01Let's go around the horn with just kind of final wrap up thoughts here before we get out of here.
45:07Tara, any kind of final thoughts? Anything you feel like you learned?
45:10I mean, it almost feels silly asking, like, did you learn anything from this mock draft as we get this late into draft season?
45:17We're taping this on the last day of August, but do you have any takeaways from the exercise today?
45:23Yeah. You know, we've got a lot of nice, heavy RB builds that went double running back in the first couple of
45:29rounds, but there are still some nice teams that went with more of a hero RB approach and then in round seven
45:35and eight doubled up at running back. So let's say like someone like Mac drafter drafted a Mauryan Hampton and then came
45:42around in seven and eight and doubled up at Quinshawn Judkins and Ramard Ray Stevenson on a week to week basis.
45:48One of those can produce RB two numbers for you.
45:50Same kind of deal there with a Javante Williams type of hero RB then combining with Jonathan Brooks and Marshawn Lloyd.
45:56So you have the ability to get your hiring guy and still create an RB two.
46:01You don't have to go as robust as possible, especially in a draft where a quarterback is more of a priority or
46:07wide receivers are more of a priority because it's a three wide receiver setup.
46:11So I thought that was something very interesting that we had nice builds with doubling up in the mid round RBs.
46:17Rich, any takeaways for you? Just in general, like I said, if you're playing super flex for the first time, it's a
46:24little bit overwhelming to where like you might feel like you have to have that arms race to get the QBs.
46:30You got to just kind of play the room in that scenario.
46:33But if you are a gamer that as your home league or your league that you've been in has played super flex
46:39for a long time, like you know your room better than I will know it, right?
46:44Or any expert will know it. You'll know how to how aggressive the rest of your league mates treat quarterback.
46:50And that's really just kind of the whole game of super flexes.
46:53It's like when to be on the title wave and when to be not and when to go and make pivots and against other positions.
47:00So it's fun. I love the element that it adds.
47:03It's it makes drafts different and adds a new wrinkle to the team builds.
47:07And I believe it should just be the way that base fantasy football is played now.
47:12Agree. Yeah, I agree to Debra. Final thoughts. I echo a lot of the things that Rich was talking about.
47:17No two super flex rooms are exactly the same.
47:20Do not use super flex rankings because they're not going to fit every single different room.
47:25Because again, you're going to get some where there's a title wave of quarterback.
47:29Some rooms wait on quarterbacks. Your best. The best thing in your back pocket that can help you a ton in super
47:35flex with teams or leagues that have been around for a long time is using draft intel.
47:40Especially if you have these leagues that have been around a long time, you kind of get the idea of where the quarterbacks go.
47:47But again, this also comes back when you zoom out to the hundred foot view of like drafting in a super flex league.
47:53This also goes back to who do you like at quarterback?
47:56And are you comfortable building a variety of quarterback rooms?
47:59Some of this is going to depend on where your draft position is.
48:03Like if you're drafting at the top of like, you know, top three pick versus late.
48:07But are you comfortable taking because some people just are not comfortable like waiting on quarterback.
48:12It makes them too uneasy. They don't like late quarterbacks.
48:15They're like, I don't believe in Tyler Shuck. I don't believe in Malik Willis.
48:19So when you're doing mock drafts to get ready for a super flex draft, the other big part that you have to
48:25wrestle with yourself on is what quarterbacks do I like?
48:28And that in itself is going to kind of help guide you through a super flex draft.
48:33Because if you don't like any of these late quarterbacks this year, if you're like Cam Ward sucks, Tyler Shuck isn't going to hit.
48:40Malik Willis is in a horrible offense. Then yeah, you're going to go quarterback earlier than maybe some other people.
48:45But you have to understand that before you walk into the super flex draft.
48:49Because if not, or you decide to punt it and then you're staring at the board, you're like, oh crap, what did I do?
48:56I hate all these quarterbacks. Now I'm screwed. You have to understand that before you walk in.
