Chuba Hubbard

PositiveValue20:19

Chuba Hubbard is a reliable, startable asset whose value is currently on the rise. The source argues that his current rest-of-season consensus ranking of RB30 is too low and should be moved up, suggesting managers should consider flipping him to address other positions of need if they have depth.

Insight page
PositiveValue30:30

Hubbard is a strong hold or a trade-around candidate for running-back-needy teams. He is the clear RB1 in Carolina, and with Jonathan Brooks dealing with recurring injuries, Hubbard's value is on the rise. He is a startable asset in an improved offense that is providing him with goal-line and check-down opportunities.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue3:32

Despite a slow start with only one catch for three yards, Loveland remains a buy-low target in deeper leagues. He maintains a significant role, playing upwards of 85% of snaps and running more routes than other Bears pass catchers in Week 1. He is a low-end TE1 rest-of-season, ranking behind Dallas Goedert and Isaiah Likely but ahead of Kyle Pitts and Mark Andrews.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveProjection9:03

Wilson is a buy before he hits his peak usage, as he has shown a solid floor as a low-end WR2. With upcoming matchups against Detroit and a vulnerable Chicago secondary, he is poised to break out as a WR1. Geno Smith has been effective, and the Jets' offense is rounding out well, making Wilson a cost-effective WR1 at a WR2 price point.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeInjury21:00

Jonathan Brooks is viewed as a health liability, and the optimism surrounding his ability to get on the field and compete with Chuba Hubbard has not materialized thus far. The source suggests now is a good time to see what kind of trade value can be obtained for him.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeBust23:23

Harrison is a drop candidate in most leagues, including 10-team formats. He has been out-snapped and out-targeted by Michael Wilson in both games this season and is struggling to separate. Per PFF, he is tied for the fewest catchable targets among receivers with at least 60 snaps. He is currently a poor fit in the Arizona offense.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeProjection21:22

Rhamondre Stevenson is expected to move down in the rest-of-season consensus rankings as part of the ongoing adjustments being made to the list.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeProjection21:25

Rico Dowdle is being moved down in the rest-of-season consensus rankings due to injuries and other factors.

0:04Grainger, for the ones who get it done. I'm sure you're telling everybody that all of our weekly consensus rankings and tiers
0:11can be found at FantasyPros.com slash rankings. Tara, before we get into the players you want to talk about, how are you
0:18surviving this horrific, atrocious, awful week two? We were talking before we started taping, and holy cow, was this a less fun week than week one was.
0:26Yeah, yeah, I'm giving up on Justin Herbert. We're officially moving into the Justin, we're not going to move into Justin Herbert
0:33hater camp, but man, fool me once, shame on you.
0:36Fool me like five times, shame on me. No, it hasn't been that.
0:40Has it been that much? It's been quite a streak of disappointing results over and over and over again.
0:45Thank God for Tyler Shuck at this point. That's all I got to say.
0:50Yeah, well, I maybe would agree with that if he didn't just beat my Ravens.
0:54Oh yeah. But no, Shuck does look good and is deserving of some praise here, so I can't hate too much on it.
1:01Yeah, I mean, injuries galore, low score. It was like, I think the Sunday afternoon slate had about like 18 points per
1:08game, fewer than week one's Sunday afternoon slate. So just all the offense and then none of the offense.
1:14You know, major quarterback injuries, which are especially not fun.
1:17Just really, really brutal all the way around. So we're hoping for a bounce back here in week three.
1:23Hard to believe we're already embarking on our week three journey.
1:26This soon in the season feels it feels sooner and sooner every year.
1:30You can't believe how quickly the season's moving along.
1:33Let's start with some buys here. Tara, who do you want to talk about?
1:37I said buy a bear last week. At the time, I did not know that we were facing a nasty weather situation
1:44where everyone, even Justin Jefferson, couldn't really push through from a fantasy perspective outside of the running backs.
1:49So I'm giving the bears a slight minor pass, a minor excuse.
1:53But at this point, I know that everyone is panicking on the bears.
1:57And then we have the whole Kayla Williams injury.
1:59Luckily, not seeming like it's that massive of an injury.
2:02They're saying week to week, but at least we know that it's more of a hamstring.
2:07So from a quarterback's perspective, this is not as detrimental as it could have been.
2:12But the one guy that I am still saying, hey, we still need to look at this as a buy low opportunity.
2:19It is Colson Loveland. So I ask people to hear me out on this because two weeks into the season, Loveland has
2:25literally just one catch for three yards. And fantasy managers are willing to offer a bag of peanuts to the point where
2:32they are ready to drop kick him to waivers.
2:35I have seen the evidence of people asking, like, do I drop this guy?
2:39So perhaps if you're in a shallow league, you don't even have to make this move.
2:44You can just wait and see if someone is frustrated and kicks him off to the roster.
2:49But in deeper leagues, they're not willing to let go quite yet.
2:53And there's valid reason for that. And, you know, the reason is why I'm specifically advocating for Colson Loveland because he is the tight end one.
3:01I know the fantasy points are not showing it, but he is on the field upwards of 85% of snaps.
3:07He ran more routes than any other Bears pass catcher in week one.
3:11He ran a little bit less in week two, but still plenty.
3:14He is out there. The targets just aren't coming and it looked a lot worse.
3:19It continues to look worse because, you know, this week we got Sam Rauch on the field for significantly less time, but was targeted just as much.
3:27So on the surface, if fantasy managers are looking at this, they're thinking that it's split usage when it's really not.
3:33It's just a very random, weird outcome. And hopefully the Bears look at their offense and say, we need to adjust the
3:40players that this offense is running through. We feel strong about our ground game, our ground game, but our pass catchers are just not putting up the numbers.
3:49And so we need to adjust how we are approaching for this.
3:52So I would go for Loveland over Adunze and Burden because Adunze is more of a risk for his work being affected by any Caleb Williams injury.
4:01And then Burden has the competition, unfortunately, from Kalief Raymond, which is making me a little bit nervous.
4:06And then also his ceiling is just like a little naturally lower than Roma Dunze and Colston Loveland because of how he plays on the field.
4:14So for that reason, we are still buying Loveland because he's still a significant presence on the field.
4:19And unlike like if we pivoted to compare at another tight end position of somebody who wildly disappointed, like look at an
4:26Ironde Gadsden, who now prior to these injuries, there's opportunity for him.
4:30If you're looking to jump on the waiver wires, but prior to injuries, Gadsden's usage was straight up snatched by Charlie Kohler and David Njoku.
4:37So that is a situation where you would be panicking because they obviously clearly adjusted his role within the offense, but it's
4:44not the same thing with Colston Loveland. So if people are really to the point where they're debating dropping him, but they're
4:51just unwilling because how can you drop somebody that you pick that early?
4:55Make it easy on them. And it doesn't have to be a one for one trade.
5:00You can target him along someone else as well.
5:02If you were ranking rest of season, like he was the clear tight end three coming in.
5:07Where is he at for you now? I moved him down.
5:11I know. And especially like in week two rankings, I know people were still holding on.
5:16I moved him down a little bit lower to a low end tight end one.
5:20I think that's an appropriate range. I could have him below a Dallas Goddard if I could trust him to stay on
5:27the field and Isaiah likely I could have him below as well.
5:31But after that, things get very shaky with guys like Kyle Pitts and Mark Andrews.
5:35So there's only a degree to which he can drop.
5:38So he's still a tight end one. It's just he's pushed on back a little bit further.
5:43Give me another player to buy. We're buying Garrett Wilson.
5:46This is not a buy low. So this is not like, oh, God, it's detrimental.
5:51We're buying low and it's a risk. It's a buy because what I think we're seeing is floor games and the real
5:58upside is about to hit quite literally this week.
6:00So that is why it's a buy right now because you don't want to do it after this week because of the
6:07potential due to matchup for two weeks in a row.
6:10We have seen Garrett Wilson with seven targets. He caught six of those targets last week for 79 yards.
6:16He got five of those targets for 57 yards at a touchdown last week.
6:20It was a very low pass volume day because the Jets leaned on Brees Hall against Tennessee this week.
6:26More volume from Geno Smith. Lots of volume. He threw for just over 40 attempts, but less efficient.
6:32It was messy. It was a weather week. Again, they dealt with rain in that matchup.
6:36But again, he put up a nice floor, very moderate game.
6:40So we're seeing steady volume for Wilson and he has not hit his peak usage.
6:44His floor right now is a low end wide receiver too.
6:48And we are hitting the wide receiver one game starting this week in a matchup against Detroit, followed by a matchup against
6:54a very vulnerable Chicago secondary as well. Don't be fooled just because the secondary, I guess, theoretically could have looked better in
7:01terms of the low score this week. It was the weather that was really the issue.
7:06We have consistently seen Chicago secondary struggle, not just this season, but last season as well.
7:11That is their weakness. They're tougher on the ground.
7:14So two great games. If you're going to target him, now is the time to do so because the odds of him
7:20going off this week are very high. Wilson is a it's a buy for people that are looking for a cost effective
7:27wide receiver one because it's the Jets. And although they are doing well overall, there's clear improvement.
7:32People are just very skeptical and people are skeptical of Geno Smith.
7:36So there's only so much of a hold that Garrett Wilson has on people.
7:40So it's a really easy one to slide in there and get a guy who's got a certain level of guaranteed volume.
7:47And it also helps that we see Adonai Mitchell guarding, guarding targets and looking good as well.
7:52So that helps in terms of keeping him very cost effective.
7:55Geno Smith has looked much more effective on the Jets compared to last season.
8:00The offensive line is holding up well. And again, Adonai Mitchell as a deep threat ensures that defenses are kept honest and multiple threats to account for.
8:08The receiving core is rounding out very nicely. I love Garrett Wilson as a buy before he goes off.
8:14I think this feels to me like a year.
8:16It's a it's a wide receiver one at a wide receiver two price kind of the way you were putting it.
8:23I think that's that's a good framing of it.
8:25It's not even just the next two weeks, which obviously are amazing with Detroit and Chicago.
8:30But, you know, Cleveland in that game is not in Cleveland.
8:34That defense tends to be worse on the road.
8:36The road historically is in week five, then New England, then Miami in week seven, the Raiders in week eight, then a couple of tougher teams.
8:44But like the Chargers in week 11 don't look tough.
8:47Another Miami game in week 12. Like there are some real interesting matchups, particularly in the next five or six weeks.
8:54But even beyond that, that are really intriguing. I think it's going to be a very fun stretch for Garrett Wilson managers here that I'm very interested in.
9:02And I'm with you like the Jets. Listen, are they a great team?
9:06No. Are they better than their reputation would suggest?
9:09I do think so. And and I think I think this is not going anywhere for Wilson.
9:14I think that the floor just from his talent as a player is always going to be there.
9:20And then the ceiling, I think it's very easy to imagine where it might be going forward.
9:25So I'm totally on board with you with you here on this one.
9:29I like this pick a lot. Let's go to the next player you want to talk about.
9:34I believe we have a cell. We do. And at this point, I don't know.
9:38Maybe I'm just asking for people to get angry with me.
9:42But we are going to sell Jalen Waddell. I know.
9:45I know people. But cell highs do tend to induce a little bit of anger.
9:49So here we go. My advice on Jalen Waddell in week two is was that, you know, we're still starting him.
9:56Like, hey, we're not panicking just because there was a bad week one.
10:00Don't let that deter you from a guy that you drafted and just permanently bench him unless something goes completely sideways.
10:06And he had a fantastic game. So this is no hate to Waddell.
10:10He had eight receptions, 10 targets, well over 100 yards.
10:13Sutton remained, you know, much lower single digit production.
10:16Definitely a field stretcher. Pat Bryant faded. Thank God for that.
10:19But but offenses don't always operate the exact same season to season.
10:23Right. And we do have a change in play calling.
10:26But we should not forget the roller coaster of the Broncos 2025 pass catchers.
10:30Just because we saw the resurgence of Jalen Waddell this week does not mean that in week three it won't go back to the week one usage.
10:38This is a very deep receiving core where they can adjust opt to adjust their usage of the receivers on a week to week basis according to matchups.
10:47This version of the offense that heavily targeted Jalen Waddell might not be the version that we see in week three against
10:54the Rams or in week four against San Francisco.
10:56This isn't an offense that functions like Seattle, where the volume is just funneling through JSN no matter what.
11:02It doesn't matter who is at the quarterback. It doesn't matter what the game plan is.
11:07It doesn't matter the defense. It's going that direction.
11:10But Denver has not traditionally operated that manner. Everyone was obviously in on Waddell all offseason.
11:15So selling him high right now after an excellent game doesn't really have to take much in terms of convincing people.
11:21And it doesn't have to read as we're selling high and bailing out and panicking.
11:26You'll still get very good value. So him coming off of this game is a good time to get what he is
11:32actually worth and be able to pivot if you're weaker at another position.
11:36Perhaps you're weaker at running back, but you drafted very well.
11:40In mid rounds, you maybe you have a Parker Washington and a Christian Watson and you can opt to sell Jalen Waddell and upgrade at running back.
11:48Or perhaps you drafted poorly in mid rounds and you drafted well.
11:52And maybe you want to take advantage of downgrading a little bit to guys who are viewed as less than like a
11:58Parker Washington and still be able to get really good value out of him and maybe a little bit more.
12:04I agree. Generally speaking on Waddell, I also think it's worth like when you're looking at the schedule here, it's kind of
12:11the opposite of Garrett Wilson, where the next, you know, month and a half, two months is a pretty difficult schedule defensively.
12:18But then after you after week 12, really. So getting into the end of the fantasy regular season in the fancy playoffs,
12:24that's when you get Miami, the Jets, the Raiders, the Bills across four straight games leading up to week 16.
12:30So I wonder if like, hey, don't don't worry about the roller coaster here for the next several weeks.
12:36Trade him away. Or if you don't have him, don't bother.
12:40But then maybe go try to trade for him after the bye week, something like that, where you are trying to play that game later on.
12:48At the very least, I definitely agree with this.
12:50This next several weeks. I'm not interested in that roller coaster.
12:54And it's I don't have a lot of Jalen Waddell to sell because I, you know, I totally understood like Debra was
13:00very excited about Jalen Waddell in this offense. I totally get it.
13:04He's a good player. It's a good offense. They gave up a lot of draft capital.
13:09I get it. Having said that, we've done this before with John Baton.
13:13Like, I don't need to. This is what we expected.
13:16So, yeah, I am on board with this. Yeah, if you.
13:19Yeah. If you want a chance to win the ultimate symbol of fantasy glory, the fantasy football championship belt, courtesy of our

13:53So make sure to turn on notifications so you don't miss your chance to claim this championship belt and flex on your entire league.
14:00All right, Tara, two more names to get to.
14:03One of them is a drop. Who do you have for us?
14:07Oh, we're going to drop Marvin Harrison Jr. I typically am not one to advise a panic drop early season, but this
14:13is already a player that we were sketched out to begin with.
14:17And there is, sadly, absolutely nothing that should lead us to believe that Marvin Harrison Jr.
14:22Is going to transition into a start worthy asset on this team unless injury happens.
14:26And even then, so it's going to take multiple because it is a sketchy situation for him in particular.
14:32He doesn't look great. Trey McBride is the unquestioned first look in this offense.
14:37So everyone else is just running second fiddle. So you get into these tough matchups, which unfortunately Arizona does have a very tough schedule.
14:44You get into these tough matchups and often it will only be a guy like Trey McBride that is producing.
14:50We're two weeks deep and we've got more than enough evidence to show that Michael Wilson is the wide receiver one.
14:56I do believe that he's transitioned to the wide receiver one.
15:00We saw Arizona in two different game scenarios. So this is quite literally perfect for us to take this little tiny sample
15:06size and try to make sense of it, right?
15:09Two weeks ago, in the first week, he was out snapped and out targeted by Michael Wilson, actually in both games, out
15:16snapped and out targeted by Michael Wilson in both games.
15:19And it's not a dramatic difference, but it's more than enough to make us feel like there is a clear gap.
15:25And we have a clear gap in rankings and a clear gap in trust.
15:30And we've seen it in a positive script for game.
15:33We've seen it in a negative script. And it's just not working out for him.
15:37He is closer to Kendrick Bourne than he is to Michael Wilson.
15:41And there's a gap for Michael Wilson to Trey McBride.
15:44So rolling him out in your starting lineup on a week-to-week basis is just not the most effective way to win your fantasy league.
15:51So again, if you're failing in every single scenario, what can we really trust with you?
15:56If Marvin Harrison Jr. is primarily being used as a field stretcher, and he's too sloppy to take advantage of the opportunities
16:03that he is getting, and he struggles to truly separate, we're at a standstill, and we need to bail out for other options, even in 10-team leagues.
16:11I would drop Marvin Harrison Jr. for a Denzel Boston, just based on pure talent level.
16:16The only saving grace that he potentially has is that after San Francisco, they face the New York Giants and the Detroit.
16:22We know how Detroit is. But if he's burned you three weeks in a row, are you really going to roll him out and take that risk?
16:31Probably not. Are you passing over better assets that are on the waiver wire just so that you can hold Marvin Harrison Jr.
16:38and say, oh, let's start him against Detroit? I'm not ready to say I'm out and putting the nail in the coffin on Marvin Harrison Jr.
16:46as an NFL receiver. I am ready to put the nail in the coffin on his tenure with Arizona.
16:51It's just so clearly not a fit at this point, and it's a shame.
16:56They spent really high draft capital. There was a lot of hype.
16:59It's clearly not working in Arizona. I'd love to see him traded to one of these teams with receiver injuries right now,
17:06like the Ravens or the Texans, I think would be fun just to maybe see if a change of scenery kind of
17:13is a breath of fresh air and kind of gets his career going back in the right direction.
17:18It might not happen. He might just be not that good of a player.
17:22That's obviously very on the table given what we've seen the last couple of years.
17:27But I want to see it outside of Arizona before I'm ready to fully shut the door on everything.
17:33I would love to see a trade of a team trying to buy low on him in real life.
17:39In fantasy, I think it's good to put him here as a drop because people are going to see the name.
17:45They're going to think about the draft ranking. They're going to think about the fact that he was still like, you know,
17:52with the wide receiver 32, something like that in ADP by the end of August.
17:56Like that's, that's the type of guy you at least keep on your bench and you're kind of planting your flag here
18:03that it's not a don't ride this roller coaster.
18:06It's worth letting him go. Per PFF, fewest catchable targets amongst receivers with at least 60 receiving snaps this season.
18:12Isaac Tesla and Marvin Harrison Jr. Have two apiece.
18:15Nobody else is under four. So they have half of what the next lowest of anybody with that many receiving snaps is.
18:21He just got one catch this season. I mean, it's just, it's, it's hard to watch quite frankly.
18:27It is. Yeah. Yeah. Let's go to one last player here.
18:30Tara, who are you shopping? Oh, um, I am shopping and just FYI.
18:34I did not include, uh, Drake London as a pro buy.
18:37We haven't had him on the list last week.
18:40I'm still pro by Drake London, but I just wanted to give other options.
18:44And one of those other options is to shop Chuba Hubbard around.
18:48Let me preface. This is not a, you must sell high on Chuba Hubbard.
18:52Cause I do believe he is the RB one.
18:55Um, it's a shop around to see if a very running back needy team.
18:59And there are some running back needy teams out there who made some choices for their RB too.
19:05Didn't go robust RB. And they're sitting here trying to make it work with very shaky options.
19:10And they're in need of an RB too. Um, and Chuba Hubbard is an RB one.
19:15Jonathan Brooks got injured yet again in no way, shape or form.
19:18Do I believe that AJ Dylan is a threat to Chuba Hubbard?
19:22So while I'm not telling people like to panic on the Jonathan Brooks thing, but at the end of the day, we've,
19:29we, we feel very solidified in the upside that Chuba Hubbard offers.
19:32And now with Brooks walking away with yet another injury, it's just these Knicks, right?
19:37As we continue to get that people will start to feel a little bit more comfortable with valuing Chuba Hubbard for what he actually is.
19:45Because if there was no Jonathan Brooks, it wouldn't be a problem.
19:48We would value him as what he is in an offense that, um, clearly has improved.
19:53Congrats, Bryce Young. They're pushing volume goal line opportunities.
19:56He's catching checkdowns and are catching clear targets at the goal line for receiving touchdowns.
20:00It's just a great setup and it's working for him.
20:04And as people start to let go of the Jonathan Brooks a little bit, they can start to get more comfortable and
20:10actually you can, you know, potentially sell him for good value.
20:14And now was a good time while he is the clear RB one and there's no theoretical threat there.
20:19So you don't have to make this move because he is a very startable asset on a week to week basis that you can trust.
20:27But if you drafted Chuba Hubbard, unless you drafted super early in the summer, more than likely you didn't draft him as your RB two.
20:35So you might have other starters on a week to week basis where you're choosing between them and Chuba Hubbard and you're on a wide receiver and flex.
20:43You're trying to figure out like, okay, what's the real upside?
20:46What am I trying to do? And there's no reason to have him on your bench.
20:51So if you can afford it, capitalize on trying to flip to a position of need.
20:56His value is on the rise. Everyone's starting to feel good about him.
21:00Jonathan Brooks health liability again. Now is a good time to see what kind of value you can get for him.
21:07It's kind of funny if you look at the rest of season rankings at fantasypros.com amongst running backs, and this will continue
21:13to get updated over the next day or two.
21:16It usually changes a bit early in the week.
21:19But as of right now in rest of season consensus rankings, Chuba Hubbard, RB 30, Jonathan Brooks, RB 31.
21:24So they are back to back here. Yeah. For Hubbard specifically, RB 30, does that feel too high, too low, or just right to you?
21:32It's too low. It's too low. I would move him up, but I get it because we do have some shifting assets.
21:39Like, you know, we'll see Travion Henderson move up, right?
21:42And then a Ramondre Stevenson moved down. So you're still, we've got some shifts that are happening here, like a Rico Dowdle
21:49and moving him down with the injuries and whatnot.
