0:04Grainger, for the ones who get it done. It's not so standard anymore, but we're still going to tackle it because that's
0:10what we're doing on the Fantasy Pros Draft Wizard.
0:13We have got a standard league mock draft where two wide receiver, two running back, we're even doing kicker and defense.
0:19We're doing a little bit of all of it.
0:21And joining me today for the episode, we've got the King of Bros, Derek Brown, Tara Roberts and the Fantasy Dude.
0:27All of us in here, 2D Bro, as I mentioned before, tackle something that's not so standard anymore.
0:32It doesn't mean that like, you know, maybe like a majority of ESPN leagues are still doing it.
0:37Tons of people are still doing it, but the term, we do need to retire the standard term for this format.
0:43I, I emphatically agree. I think this should just be however we want to phrase this, touchdowns only, touchdown hunting, like whatever,
0:49however we want to coin that term. I think that's what you're looking for in standard leagues right now.
0:55And that's really how it should be framed. Tara, non PPR is essentially all it is right now.
1:00Yeah. Yeah. I was going to say, yeah. Non PPR, because like I was saying off air when we were doing this,
1:06we, we almost have to actively kill the term standard because it, I think it, it makes people feel like that's the format.
1:12If we don't want to get cute with fantasy football, you do.
1:16But I think a lot of the, the sites and stuff have changed to what their default format is, is like a
1:22half PPR Tara, but we just got to kill the name, even though we're literally calling it the standard.
1:27We're not going to do our job here. Yeah.
1:30It's okay. Yeah. Non PPR touchdown, happy, all that good stuff.
1:33Um, it's fun. It's different and it's fun to mock draft.
1:36And apparently the standard league is very loud and very bright because the fantasy dude rocking with this.
1:41I don't think I've mock draft with anybody with a sunglasses before on an episode, but I appreciate it.
1:47What's up, my man? Not much. Not much. Uh, my group of friends, we actually call it retro ball now because it's
1:53the old way we used to play. Oh, yeah.
1:55I like that. I like that. All right. Well, yeah.
1:58Yeah. Let's try to make it. Remember, Barry ball, whatever you want to call it.
2:02Old man yells at fantasy, something like that. That's what it is.
2:06We used to check our stats in the morning paper on Mondays.
2:09Yeah. That makes it cloud fantasy. Yeah. Old man yells at cloud fantasy.
2:13There we go. Cloud fantasy. Whatever your style is, we've got it available on the draft wizard.
2:18You can go and do standard half PPR super flex.
2:20You could just sync your league if you guys have got some cool special settings or whatever, and you guys can do
2:27exactly what we're doing today as we are going to be jumping in at fantasypros.com slash mock.
2:31You can download the fantasy pros app and then you can create whatever you want, whether you're jumping into the fantasy mock
2:38draft lobbies or you want to create some private ones for yourself where you can mock draft with buddies or you could just mock draft against the system.
2:46Everything is powered by ECR, the expert consensus ranks, and there's a bunch of great stuff in there.
2:51You've also got coach that's going to help you out.
2:53So you want to start tackling and get ready for your draft.
2:57Go into the draft simulator, fantasypros.com slash mock, just like we are going to do.
3:01And we are going to tackle this mock draft right now.
3:04So we have also got our wonderful, awesome discord members, which we posted this into, and this is full of our discord.
3:10So fantasypros.com slash chat, if you go and check that out, you could be a part of these mock drafts.
3:16And that is what we've got. We've got like DVR.
3:19We've got a bunch of our insane people that are looking to hurt Debro's feelings for sure.
3:24And then we are also tackling this. I jumped into the two spot for this mock draft.
3:28Debro went to the four. I believe the fantasy dude is at nine and Tara took the wheel.
3:34So we will get screamed about Debro that we did not take five, six or seven.
3:38Just warning you, we're going to get yelled at, but we are, we are balancing that out by drafting kickers and defense.
3:44So I took the four spot because the YouTube comments told me that nobody is drafted from the four spot.
3:50And I will not mention the two numbers between five and eight on a show right now.
3:55So picking that draft spot, I will not do not in the year 2026.
3:59That is man with a child. In the big two six.
4:02Yeah. Tara on the 12 spot, anything that you wanted, was that something you wanted to do?
4:07Is it your favorite spot? What was the impetus of taking 12 in the standard mock?
4:11Yeah. Yeah. In my defense, the reason that I did not do a mid round one was because we did that perfect draft one.
4:18And I challenged myself with that mid round. It is miserable.
4:21Right. So I thought that was a nice reference point.
4:24So I'll go to the end here, give myself a wrap, uh, end of the turn experience.
4:29I like that, especially in standard. It'll be interesting.
4:31And the dude abides with the nine pick. And I can appreciate that.
4:35And I actually really like that spot because it's like early enough to still have something cool happen.
4:40And then you have a quick turn. Was that your approach there?
4:43Uh, kind of my lead personally, we do a third round reversal.
4:47So I like to pick near the end of the draft most of the time.
4:51So I like, I like to have the 12 11 spot, but I figured if I move it up a little more,
4:57I could still play with that same kind of draft strategy, but a little bit more skewed to the side.
5:03All right, perfect. Well, we're going to start this up.
5:06By the way, would you like us to go by your government name of the, or would you like the fantasy?
5:11You can actually call me Ryan if you would like to.
5:15Okay. I didn't want to kill the real government name.
5:17Your actual government name. I don't want to kill the mystery behind it.
5:21Oh, it's okay. People know who I am. Okay.
5:24Well, good. I even have eyeballs behind the glasses.
5:26As a fellow, the Welsh, I can appreciate it.
5:29So I just want to make sure. All right.
5:31Exactly. When he snipes you, you have to mention his middle name though.
5:35That's the only rules. A hundred percent. All right.
5:37Mock draft is underway here again. Two running back, two wide receiver quarterback.
5:41We do have a flex. Jameer Gibbs goes on the number one spot.
5:45I am up here and I am going to also tackle the running back.
5:49I took the two spot here. Just, I mean, also as a host, it's a little bit easy to jump in here,
5:55but I wanted to tackle one of these early running backs.
5:58And I don't think I've actually drafted high in drafts so I could see what the back end of the second round looks like.
6:05So nothing different from full PPR, half PPR or standard here with Jameer Gibbs and Bijan going.
6:10The third pick is Jamar Chase. Debro, you're up at four.
6:13Also, I'd kind of be curious. What do you think is going to deviate?
6:17You took Puka Nakua. So again, nothing has really changed for anybody versus any of these formats.
6:21Real quick on Puka. Obviously no concerns on any potential suspension or injury.
6:25And was there any hesitation of something maybe you wanted to do different being this a standard league?
6:30No, I mean, right now, again, touchdown hunting and stuff.
6:33So, I mean, I still think the right approach here is between if you're sitting at the four spot, whoever falls to
6:39you, whether that's one of Bijan Gibbs, Chase or Puka.
6:42I went with Puka over somebody like a JSN or Amunra.
6:45You can make the case. But like, I think it's equally possible this year, the touchdowns flip between Adams and Puka.
6:51And if that happens this year, then again, he's wonderful and standard.
6:54And unfortunately, all I ask for Puka, stop acting like a freaking pigeon, man.
6:58Just open the glass doors. It's fine. You don't have to run into him.
7:02Yeah. Someone get him a pacifier so he doesn't bite anybody.
7:05Have a glass door. Like, just chill out. James Cook, Jackson Smith and Jigba.
7:09Amunra St. Brown. That is the 5-6-7. Ryan, you are up in one pick.
7:13We've got a pick before. We have not seen Jonathan Taylor go, Christian McCaffrey.
7:17So, I mean, maybe there's really nothing deviating here.
7:20But what are you looking at doing as Jonathan Taylor goes?
7:23I would have probably taken Taylor there had he fallen.
7:26I'm not big on Christian McCaffrey this year based on what's happening already based off of the usage he had last season.
7:32What we've seen happen to him after that amount of usage has happened to him in the past.
7:37He's already dealing with injuries. We're trying to figure out what that is.
7:41We don't know what timeline they're saying. You know, it's not.
7:44But last time they did that, we don't know what happened.
7:47And he missed half a season. So, I'm still going to take him here just based off of the value that has fallen to me at 9.
7:54But normally, because it's a mock, normally I would not do that in a regular league.
7:59But if the mock draft, I like to try things out.
8:02I want to see how my team is going to look in the end.
8:06That's what you're doing when you do a mock.
8:09You're not trying to win the draft. You're trying to just have fun and see what your team is going to look like.
8:15Yeah, I like the buildup of like, here's the negative, negative, negative.
8:18I'm going to take him. I'm going to take C&C anyway.
8:22Yeah. That's my boy. I'm down with that. I mean, especially for touchdown equity.
8:25He's such an advantage in PPR, but that doesn't really matter because he's still a high touchdown equity.
8:31Now, Terry, you did the thing that I really wanted to focus on.
8:34Lamb goes 10. Jefferson goes 11. You went back-to-back running back.
8:37And I think the biggest advantage early on in standard is a guy like Derrick Henry, who you did take at 12.
8:44You backed him up with Saquon Barkley. So those are two monster picks here.
8:48And I wondered if Derrick Henry was going to move into the first round and you made that happen.
8:53Yeah, it was interesting. I was worried that we were going to see one of those guys go and that I was
8:59going to have to make the decision. Because, you know, in full PPR, I am taking a guy like Ashton Gentry before
9:05both of those guys for the massive receiving upside that he has.
9:09But we're talking about standard high touchdowns. Derrick Henry, obviously massive advantage there to get to 15.
9:13And when it comes to Saquon, I think we're getting the bounce back of we're getting new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion leaning aggressively on the ground game.
9:21As they try to figure out who's going to step up opposite of Devontae Smith, if that's going to be a reliable
9:27option, they need to lean on Saquon Barkley. I really like that start.
9:31Then it went AJ Brown, Jinty. And then Ryan, you came back with Drake London.
9:35Really, really solid pick on the wide receiver. Any sniping happened before?
9:39Was that what you were locked into for the second round?
9:42Oh, Falcons hat. Yeah, he's my boy. You got anything for us on the Drake London pick?
9:46I'm just a big fan of London in general.
9:49We saw what he could do last year before the injury.
9:52He was he was dominating. And that was with, in my opinion, poor quarterback play.
9:56I don't think he's going to have any better quarterback play.
9:59But besides the B. John and Pitts on the team, who else are they throwing the ball to?
10:05I mean, they're going to be playing from behind quite often.
10:08They're going to be having to air that ball out.
10:10I love the talent there. And I'm not opposed to taking him that early in a second at all.
10:16I would have taken him on the turn had he still been there if I was if I was Tara.
10:21So Nico, Chase Brown, Pickens, Diviar took Ken Walker and Debro.
10:25You took Omerian Hampton. So Omerian Hampton at 2-9.
10:27Let's hear it. I was in between the top of my queue was Kenneth Walker and Omerian Hampton.
10:32I mean, both those guys, I think we're looking at similar touchdown equity.
10:36I think in a standard, is there a little like I have no qualms or questions about Kenneth Walker being the definitive
10:42red zone guy for the Kansas City Chiefs. I have more questions about Omerian Hampton.
10:46But again, if he is the red zone guy for this offense, he could score 12 plus touchdowns this year.
10:52And it's fantastic. So the fact that I was able to get one of those two guys over somebody like Devon H.
10:58And where I have questions about the scoring potential of the offense, very happy one of those guys fell to me.
11:04Follow that up with Devon H. And went right after you.
11:07And I took Chris Olave, who I was locked into.
11:10I mean, who the hell else is going to be scoring touchdowns there at this point in Debro's offense?
11:15So I loved Olave. Bowers was interesting. Bowers went 2-12 and 3-0-1.
11:19I'm up and I am battling a couple different plays here.
11:22And I don't know if I want to go super unpopular.
11:25I love this one in a standard league. I'm going to go with Kyron Williams.
11:29And I think that's like something to talk about.
11:32I like them so bad. Yeah, well, what are the adjustments in standard versus what everybody might be used to in half PPR?
11:38Again, go back to the Derrick Henry pick. You're talking touchdown equity.
11:42Yes, there's some stuff around Kyron Williams and sharing and Blake Corum.
11:45But it is like one of the top-end most powerful offenses.
11:48We've talked about it. You know, if you're looking at, you know, whatever it is, like sharp football.
11:53And you're looking at the top projected team totals.
11:56The Rams are at the tippy top. So why would I not want to take a high-end running back for a high-end offense?
12:02Because I need touchdowns. That's all. We are battling touchdowns in big yards.
12:06And that was my touchdown play. I actually love the play that went right after in Trey McBride.
12:11I kind of gave some consideration to him. D-Bro, you went with Javante Williams.
12:15You also went running back here. So hit us with Javante Williams.
12:18What do you think is starting to change, by the way, versus like what we do in PPR and half PPR for
12:24standard as we move through these rounds? Do you feel any formatic type of changes to what you normally are doing?
12:30Yeah. I mean, pulling Javante up the board, I think a lot of places he's still like a fourth-round pick.
12:36I think people would be surprised that I took him over Josh Jacobs, but I'm worried about the suspension with him.
12:42Brees Hall has got the groin issue. Jeremiah Love and a Cardinals offense that, how many touchdowns are they scoring this year?
12:48Heck no. So looking at Javante, it was really kind of between Travis Echian and Javante as far as touchdown equity offenses that I want to invest in.
12:56Javante was fifth in red zone touches last year, so the touchdown equity is definitely there.
13:01Plus, I look at this whole tier of wide receivers.
13:03I think it's really flat when you look at standard leagues right now.
13:07Like, you can make a case for a ton of guys that are going to score between six and maybe upwards of like eight to ten touchdowns.
13:15So like, if I think the wide receiver tier is flat, there's only two running backs that I like that I think
13:21can really probably score ten-plus touchdowns that are kind of left on the board versus a lot of other options.
13:26Yeah, I took the running back here. That was a guy that I was considering as well.
13:31Zay Flowers win 3-5. Brees Hall, Malik Neighbors, Josh Allen, our first quarterback in here.
13:36And then, Ryan, you actually did something I gave heavy consideration to.
13:39Again, this is the standard thing. You took Rasheed Rice, and if you're talking touchdown equity, I'm not the biggest Rasheed Rice
13:45guy, but for obvious red zone coverage, that's why I liked Rice.
13:48So talk about your 3-9 pick. That was basically the reason I went with it.
13:53I was considering Allen if he had dropped to me.
13:56I'm not a big quarterback early person, but being that it's a standard league, you're trying to find an advantage in certain areas.
14:02And I kind of view my build as a hero RB build at the moment.
14:06And when he got sniped the pick before me, I looked at Rice and considered the amount of touchdowns that he could
14:12potentially have as the red zone target for the Kansas City Chiefs, and I pulled the trigger.
14:17Yeah, don't hate it. Josh Jacobs went 3-10. Colson Loveland, 3-11.
14:20So we did get a couple of those tight ends here.
14:23And then, Tara, you did a wide receiver, wide receiver, 3-4 split here with Emeka Ekbuka and Tee Higgins.
14:29So I love the Emeka side. Maybe Emeka is a slight little baby downgrade in a standard just touchdown league, knowing what
14:35they've got in the rushing game and Chris Godwin and stuff, but love Tee Higgins there.
14:40So talk to us about your two picks. Yeah, I actually think that Emeka, when I bump up Emeka next to Chris
14:46Godwin, considering that Godwin's going to be out of the slot, I actually think that we're going to see Godwin in the
14:52production that we kind of saw around that 2023-2022 timeframe where the touchdowns weren't, where they were early in his career, it
14:58was more of like a max of five. So I actually like it to be more potential receptions tilting over to Godwin,
15:04but more yardage and touchdowns with Emeka. So in a standard, I give him that slight edge over Godwin.
15:10Tee Higgins, I debated on this one, not going to lie.
15:13If Colson Loveland didn't go there right before, I was eyeing him down.
15:17I was like, oh yeah, I'm taking Loveland right here.
15:19Would be a great red zone target. So then it had me debating whether Tee Higgins or Tyler Warren, you know, touchdowns.
15:26I'm kind of worried that maybe we get a little, I'm not worried about Keenan Allen, but you never know how things might shift.
15:32And they have Jonathan Taylor, the aggressive use on the ground.
15:35So decided to just go ahead and lock in that second wide receiver there.
15:39We had Lad McConkie, Lamar Jackson, a couple of quarterbacks have gone on this round.
15:44And then Ryan, you took what is going to be seen as, you know, whatever it's controversial or it's polarizing, at least at this point, Jeremiah Love.
15:51So you jumped in with Jeremiah Love at the, what is it?
15:55The four, four spot. And it's interesting in this format too, because you're not going to get a ton of that receiving
16:01equity and you're talking about maybe volume going out.
16:03So what was the, what was the power behind taking him in the fourth round?
16:08I was, I was debating between him and Travis HN.
16:10And I really wanted to go with the new Orleans.
16:13And I'm going to be honest with you when it comes to like a breakdown of why I made that pick, it
16:19was because we're in a mock draft and I wanted to try things out.
16:23I'm just being a hundred percent honest. I would, I w I haven't taken Jordan Love in any of my mock drafts this off season.
16:30Um, and I'm going to be honest with you when I took it, it didn't feel great because I don't think I'm
16:37going to be taking him in any of my leagues.
16:39The, the, the offense is going to be playing from behind most of the time.
16:44If this is the standard league that I'm playing in, uh, you're not getting that receiving work.
16:48You're not getting all that extra stuff that you're, you're, you're accustomed to with what we play, uh, when, when it comes to the PPR standard.
16:56Um, but with this pick here, it was just more along the lines of we're, we're trying mocks.
17:01I'm trying things out and I wanted to see what the team would look like.
17:05I'm going to be honest. I'm not happy with it, but we're trying things out.
17:09I like that. That's usually mine. That's how I approach, uh, Tedrow McMillan for five Jalen Waddle, Drake may who I gave some consideration to.
17:16And then, uh, D bro, you jumped in with Christian Watson.
17:19Uh, so Drake made Devante Adams, by the way, the one right before you, I was heavily considering Devante Adams if he had fallen to me.
17:27Uh, so did you get a little bit snipe there, um, pivoting to Christian Watson or were you locked into Watson?
17:33I was, I was willing to, because that would have, I would have Puka and Adams there, but I feel like if
17:39that's the case, then I was fine taking Adams if he fell to me because I'm legit locking up.
17:44Most of the touchdowns definitely would probably like all of the touchdowns are at least a large part of it through the
17:51air for what we consider to be one of the best offenses in the NFL with having Puka and Adams.
17:56Um, but Watson, man, I mean, 10 games played last year, six receiving touchdowns.
18:00He's going to be the clear wide receiver one for green Bay and certain.
18:04One thing I do want to zoom out and just kind of discuss here real quickly is that when you're looking in
18:10your touchdown hunting and standard for these players, it's not just the red zone usage.
18:14I like to look at the quarterback positions, like consistently year after year, after year, who are these outlier guys and passing
18:21touchdown rates that were like, okay, that's going to regress.
18:24It's going to regress. And then it doesn't Jordan love comes to mind.
18:27He's consistently above that. I think that happens again this year.
18:30Another guy is also on this list, but I'm, I'm not going to tease this too far.
18:35Cause I'm, I'm curious if a guy comes back to me here, uh, in a second.
18:40Okay. I got a couple, there's a couple of sneaky ones in here.
18:43It's a couple of sneaky sneakies. Uh, Deandre Swift went, I decided, I kind of had this in my brain that with
18:49a standard format, I tend to lean more running backs just for touchdown equity.
18:53And, uh, Travis HN is where I decided I wanted to go.
18:57I do have two saints in here. Not necessarily what I'm wanting.
19:00D bro's got to love this. It's the new powerhouse offense of the saints for this division.
19:05But you know, Camara being down, I think it helps this a little bit more.
19:09I mean, both really my Olave and HN picks are like the pieces around them falling apart.
19:14Like with, I remember I've done shows with you, Tara, where you've had a lot of questions about, you were kind of
19:20wanting to avoid HN and everything, but it's just like, there's nobody else around.
19:24So I just wanted to have a little bit more of a hyper focus on RB.
19:29So I put an RB in my flex. There were a couple of guys I was looking at.
19:34Judkins is really interesting. I do like Bucky, but I just felt I wanted to, I wanted to lock that up, but
19:40also because I like where we're at with wide receiver.
19:43And I think there's some values and I might start doing some tricky stuff here coming soon.
19:48We'll see, uh, as we move into the fifth round before we do though, we talked about Colson Loveland a little bit ago.
19:54I think in the third round, you can make him your first round pick because this is your chance to win a Colson Loveland sign bears Jersey.
20:02You can put that up in your office, put it wherever you want.
20:05You can wear it if you, if you need be, I don't care, but all you got to do is subscribe to the fantasy pros YouTube channel.
20:13So subscribe, drop a comment below on, since you're here this video, but any video will do.
20:18And then that's it. And you're entered in. We'll be announcing a winner right here on the channel.
20:23Make sure to turn on notifications. So you get the new videos and you can actually claim your prize.
20:28Colson Loveland autographed Jersey can be yours. And I would love for it to be yours.
20:33So we are going into the fifth round after my HN pick.
20:36It went Terry McLaurin at four 12. David Montgomery was the wheel at five one.
20:40So you can see some of the running backs are going, but I will point out Dave Montgomery just went ahead of Judkins, Scadaboo Irving.
20:47That's kind of fun. As he should. I got, I got to tell you guys, I'm staring at wide receiver and I
20:54really want to take my Gevins here in the fifth round.
20:57And I want to take him over there. There's a couple of good wide receivers.
21:01Uh, interestingly enough in the standard format, draft wizard is pushing Jamison Williams.
21:05Garrett Wilson also seems to be falling, but I hate that jets offense.
21:08Uh, I'm going to do it. I'm going to see what happens.
21:12Screw it. I'm going Mike Evans. I want my touchdown equity.
21:15I didn't want to tease. I figured you were going to do it.
21:18I was hoping you weren't because I was going to make the case.
21:22Brock Purdy consistently. Every freaking year is over a 7% passing touchdown rate.
21:26Welsh. Yeah. You did a good job though. What you're supposed to do is you're supposed to play coy and you're supposed to not say anything.
21:33And you did a very good job, but your 49ers homer dumb.
21:36And the fact that Evans is a smash pick, uh, definitely crushed me here.
21:40It's a smash pick again. This is one of those format changes.
21:44I don't want to like, I don't want to be annoying about it for everybody, but I do want to continuously hyper-focus on that.
21:51There are some differences. Some, I feel like half PPR and PPR tend to kind of flow more of the same.
21:56And then when you jump into standard, things are going to start to alter and go nuts, uh, because you're going to touch inequity though.
22:04It is funny. Luther burden went five, three DJ more at five, four D bro was the other guy that I was looking at.
22:10I was battling those two players. Cause DJ more has looked fantastic.
22:14Going to be a big point of the offense.
22:16So I do like this as a consolation prize.
22:19Yeah. Those are the two packet guys that I was looking at.
22:22I mean, again, I would love to have Evans.
22:25I think he could be this year's Devante Adams and lead.
22:28If he could stay healthy, lead the NFL and receiving touchdowns.
22:31But I think DJ more is going to be Stefan digs for the Buffalo bills.
22:35I think they told us that loudly and a week one of the preseason.
22:39And so again, you're vesting in a top six scoring offense.
22:42Yes, please. Cam's got a boo. Bay shell. Tootin went five, five, five, six.
22:46Uh, another thing you can do is, is we're closing in here, uh, Ryan, you're about to be up, but, um, if
22:52you guys have questions kind of throughout the draft, make sure not only are you going to get suggestions from coach, but
22:59you can ask coach live in drafts of, you know, what are some advantages?
23:03Who are some players for standard, even though it's going to kind of give you some of those suggestions, coach is going
23:09to be there in the draft wizard while you're drafting.
23:12So you can ask questions and, or it is going to give you suggestions based on what's happening.
23:17So just a little fun aside. Uh, we have after tootin, it went Jaden Daniels.
23:21So another quarterback quinch on jutkins, as I mentioned, and Ryan, you went with Jadarian price.
23:25So you're going with the young dudes. You've got a backfield of a Jeremiah love and Jadarian price.
23:30Yes, I do. I was just, again, we're going with the standard.
23:34We're looking for touchdown upside. I see Seattle moving the ball quite effectively this year, just like they did last year.
23:40I see a lot of, you know, end zone, uh, runs for him.
23:43I, I don't dislike the, the draft in the, or the draft capital of a fifth round pick and near the end of the fifth round.
23:51I'm all for it. If he's there for me, uh, standard or PPR, I'm jumping all over it.
23:56I like it. Uh, Garrett Wilson really fell to five, 10 in this format, Bucky Irving.
24:00And then Tara, you just did a double tap of Tyler Warren and then Jamison Williams.
24:05Jamison Williams has kind of been floating up as one of the top, uh, top polls from fantasy pros on the draft wizard.
24:11So talk about those two picks. Yeah, I feel like the gap, we had a nice little gap there after Colston Loveland.
24:18I think that makes a lot of sense when it comes to a standard league, because a lot of these guys after
24:24them shift into more questionable offenses, questionable touchdowns. So there should be a gap.
24:28There's only so much of a gap that I can leave.
24:31So I was like, okay, it's been enough picks.
24:33Let me go ahead and grab Tyler Warren, shore that up.
24:36And yeah, Jamison Williams. This is funny. This has been a controversial one because I've done 10,000 shows with Pat this off season and he loves Jamison Williams.
24:44And the comments are always like, Oh, but last season, it wasn't great until the end.
24:49And I, I want people to let go of what happened last season because it's a transition, right?
24:54We've got a change in offensive coordinator. We saw the offensive play calling shift in the middle of the season that helped out Jamison as well.
25:01And then we've also got a different setup here in terms of David Montgomery is gone.
25:06We've got the elevation of Jameer Gibbs, and we've also got this beautiful schedule.
25:10It's a wonderful schedule for the Detroit lions. Very easy, a top three strength of schedule for Jared golf, lots of domes
25:16in the back half of the season. So there are going to be a lot of high upside games, especially in the
25:22critical moments in the back half of the season, as you're making playoff pushes.
25:26So Jamison is a fine flex option. Uh, we had like a murderer's row of picks in here that, that I liked Parker Washington went six to Roma.
25:34Junsey at six, three Ryan, you took, uh, Joe burrow at six, four.
25:38We had Travion, uh, Brooks, Pollard, and then Tucker craft up to D bro.
25:42But Joe burrow, Ryan, I was with you. There's another kind of thing.
25:45I put maybe like a tiny bit more of a focus on quarterback in standard leagues.
25:50I would have loved to have gotten Drake may if there was a value I'm, I'm in this space.
25:55I've got to be careful where I'm like, Ooh, I think I want this quarterback, but then I'm letting things slide and
26:01I'm going to keep playing this game until I screw myself.
26:04But I really like your pick of Joe burrow here.

27:27I consider taking him the round before, but I took the gamble of letting him slide.
27:32If he did, I was actually hoping that Warren would slide to me on that last one, but Tara snagged him up.
27:38But I was, I was considering him for the last couple of picks.
27:42And the fact that he was still there in the six, we're playing standard.
27:46We went, we need that touchdown upside. He's a consistent top five quarterback when healthy.
27:50I just didn't see a disadvantage to taking him there.
27:53Yeah. I like that one a lot after Burrow, it went Henderson, Brooks, Pollard, craft, and then deep row.
27:58You went with reminder, Stevenson, Erickson will be very proud of you in this.
28:02Cause he is still the theoretical one, but I don't know if we have seen in many drafts, we've done Henderson and reminder go in the same round.
28:10So I thought that was really interesting. It is interesting.
28:13And I think, I think Ramondre should go ahead of Henderson 10 times out of 10, like this theoretical upside for Travion Henderson.
28:19Uh, I don't disagree with it necessarily, but it's all theoretical.
28:22Like Ramondre has been the guy. I think he remains the guy he was for all this explosive talk about like, Oh, his big runs and stuff.
28:30Does everybody realize Ramondre Stevenson had a higher explosive run rate than Travion Henderson last year.
28:35So like people frame Ramondre as being this slow plotting back and stuff.
28:38And that's just definitively not the case. And I think he's going to remain the goal line option for what we, again,
28:44what we project because, uh, another part of like in standard leagues, invest in good offenses that you think will score a crap ton of touchdowns.
28:52We think the Patriots are going to do that.
28:54Yeah. A hundred percent. Uh, after your Stevenson picket win, Jalen Warren, I was so inspired by Ryan.
28:59I'm going to take the, um, I'm going to take the value of Jalen hurts falling.
29:04I, I like hurts kind of in general, a little bit more than a board, but the rushing upside and a standard league as well.
29:11And if they're going to let it fly a tiny bit more, either way, Jalen hurts is obviously got like QB one
29:17upside and we need to play touchdowns. And if he's not doing it in the air, at least we know he's going to do it on the ground.
29:25So he was the end of a tier at, at, um, quarterback, which I was really happy about the wheel from six,
29:3112 to seven, one went Carnell Tate and Dobbins.
29:34I was looking at Tate. So I decided to pivot to get my backup wide receiver.
29:38My third wide receiver. It took Marvin Harrison, who I'm not super crazy big on, but the one thing I do think
29:44you could see more of is I would not be surprised if you see more receiving yards and receptions from Michael Wilson,
29:51but I wouldn't be surprised if you, if you see more touchdowns from Marvin Harrison, kind of similar to those early drives
29:57that Cardinals have had, where it was like Wilson, Wilson, and then the red zone, all of a sudden I became Marvin Harrison.
30:03So maybe there's some touch on equity there. Wide receiver is also like thinning out a bit.
30:08So I wanted to make sure to get one of those guys.
30:12So that was seven, two, we had Quentin, uh, Quentin Johnston.
30:15And then Debro, you went with another running back here in Rico Dottle.
30:18Yeah. I mean, and again, highlighting this particular mock, it is only start two wide receivers.
30:23So I feel really good about my wide receiver room when I have Puka, Christian Watson, DJ more already.
30:28So I was just going to take like what I look at as being one of the last of a tier of
30:34running backs where I get all of this buzz out of camp right now for the Steelers is that Dottle is going to be the RB one.
30:42And I think if you're looking at who is going to be the goal line back in that offense, I kind of
30:48put the chances higher for Dottle than Jalen Warren, but maybe that's not consensus.
30:52But again, if he is that guy, I look at him as probably the end of a tier for running backs.
30:58Oh, we're having, by the way, speaking of running backs, like I know running backs usually go, but like, it seems like
31:04it is really thinned out in the standard format.
31:07Like it is really gross. Uh, you too. So smart.
31:10You took Rico. I have three and I probably should have maybe even considered another one there.
31:14Cause it is really thin. Justin Herbert, Blake Corum, Corey Krosky, Merritt went seven, uh, seven Chuba Hubbard, seven, eight.
31:20And then Ryan, you went with a tight end.
31:23Sam Laporta was just kind of stare. He was just floating there.
31:26This, this late in the draft, Sam Laporta is a mad value at seven, nine.
31:30I'm not, I'm that was the main reason of that pick.
31:33If I'm going to be honest, like it's just, he's there waiting for you to take.
31:38Yeah. Tied in a great offense as well. Jordan Mason.
31:41I was like, Ooh, maybe Jordan Mason will come back to me.
31:44Nope. Uh, he went seven, 10. We had RJ Harvey.
31:47And then Tara, you just did your double tap of Trevor Lawrence and Kyle Monong guys.
31:51So was the Monong guy pick a little bit based around not only like you're going to like, but also what the
31:58hell's going on with RVs right now? Like you had to get some more depth.
32:02Yeah. I'm so irritated. I had to Corey Krosky merit teed up.
32:05I had Jordan Mason teed up and I'm like, Oh, fantastic.
32:08So, uh, because I have Derek Henry and Saquon and my flex is filled there with Jamison.
32:13I can wait for Kyle Monong guy to get healthy.
32:16There were a ton of rushing touchdowns and that bears offense last year.
32:20So this is not a bad bench option for an RB three because you don't have to utilize him.
32:25It can be a back half thing. Once everything works out and he's back, um, and good to go.
32:30And you know, for all we know, Deandre Swift, whenever he could potentially suffer an injury, the upside from a non guy would be literally top five.
32:38So yeah, in a standard league, I'm cool with going this direction, but yes, it was painful.
32:43That run didn't make me happy. Yeah. And you took, I mean, when above Aaron Jones, who went eight to Brian Thomas
32:49going eight, three and then Ryan Alec, Alec Pierce, which I really like is because it's going to be a bench wide receiver.
32:55Yeah. You're talking about touchdown equity. He had big play last year.
32:59So this is a solid spot. The Keenan Allen signing does concern me a bit when it comes to his injury.
33:05It just without the team saying anything, that just tells me that they're, they're not telling us everything about it.
33:10Um, but at the same time, what we saw last year from him was just so promising.
33:15And the fact that they gave him the, the, the contract extension as well, just lets me know that they're, they want
33:21to make him an absolute piece of this offense.
33:24And to get him that late, I'm cool with it.
33:27Uh, DK Metcalf going eight, five. So again, there was like, there's a big slew of wide receivers of values have just been floating out there.
33:34Michael Wilson going eight, six. It makes me sick that he's down there.
33:38I like that pick. Kenny Gainwell. Diviar is up at D bro.
33:41You're squirming. Who do you want? Who do you want here?
33:44Oh, he took him. I knew he was going to take him.
33:48I wanted Sutton so bad, dude. I wanted Sutton because I feel like he's been disrespected at this point in draft.
33:54So I'm going to take an upside shot again, investing in a high flying offense that I think scores a crap ton of touchdowns.
34:00At this point, the risk is fine. I'm going to go George Kittle.
34:04That was my backup. That's a great pick right there.
34:07I, I approved that as a dude approved pick.
34:09I got some words. I got stuck on Sutton.
34:12So, you know, it is fam. if it'll comes back and that injury isn't hindering him, he's going to be a touchdown monster with Mike Evans.
34:19I emphatically agree. And I think there's so many good spots of tight ends that if he doesn't just say George Kittle
34:25starts off as a part-time player for the first three to four weeks of the season, there's a lot of good later
34:32tight end options that I think can kind of float the boat until Kittle is back too.
34:36yeah, sure. Like that pick D bro was, uh, as you went, Oh, that was me.
34:41Uh, I wanted George Kittle in a bad way.
34:43Turn about his fair play. Sorry. You can't draft all the 49ers.
34:47I wanted Evans. So I don't even think I have it.
34:50I have Mike Evans. You got Mike Evans. That you snipe D bro on.
34:54I forgot about that. All right. I'm going to go with Chris Godwin.
34:58Again, I mean, I guess I've got some old on the wide receiver side, but Chris Godwin at eight 11 feel felt pretty nice there for touchdown equity.
35:05Rashad white. And Stefan digs on the turn. I actually liked that.
35:09Oh, that's a good pick. Yeah. Stefan digs is continuously been sneaky just because wherever you are, his ADP or wherever he
35:15sits in a draft room has just not caught up.
35:18So like a high suggestion for Stefan digs, as you guys are going into your drafts in the next couple of weekends,
35:24if he is of any target to you, go and find him and cue him up early, early assuming hopefully you do that.
35:31But like deeper, I feel like every draft we've done, we're like, dang, how did stuff?
35:35Like, we just forget. Cause he's just floating down.
35:38He's below the Jacoby Myers and Matthew goldens, which he really shouldn't be.
35:41Right? No, he shouldn't be. I mean, like Stefan digs.
35:44And I've said this since he was signed with the commanders, he should be considered a top 36 wide receiver.
35:50So look at that in your overall rankings. And in that like 30 to 36 range, where they're going, just kind of slowly put Stefan digs.
35:57And there's another player we will get to here in a little bit.
36:01I think that's in a similar range to him.
36:03Okay. Well, last time you did this, when we stopped, when we stopped there for a second, last time you did this, you screwed yourself.
36:10Now I'm going to have to look who's that guy that you're looking at.
36:14I do have two bench wide receivers. So I probably got to float a little bit away from that.
36:20So, um, we're going into the ninth round. Stefan digs was the nine one.
36:24We're going to be tackling the back half. The quick question.
36:27I want to ask everybody. I want to do a heat check.
36:30When are we going to see our first kicker?
36:33Tara? Let me start with you. A kicker or defense goes, which one goes first?
36:37And then what round do we think we're going to see?
36:40My preference is defense first. I think, but I know a lot of people want those high end kickers early.
36:46So maybe 13th. I feel like in mock drafts, we don't see things go to sideways.
36:50Do you guys think it'll go sooner? I think someone's going to do it.
36:54I think the 11th round of kicker defense is going to go.
36:57Yeah. I was going to say, I'll pick defense.
37:00I think defense as well. So you're going to go 11th round.
37:03I'm going to say 12th round. Now what, which defense?
37:06I bet you it's going to be the Rams.
37:09It's the Rams of the Texans. Texans are the top lift.
37:12Ryan, what do you think? I was going to say, I was going to say 11th with the Texans.
37:17Okay. So that's our, just a little guess here.
37:20It won't be for many of us. I can tell you that, but that might be floating out there because we are
37:26drafting them kickers in defense, jumping back into it here in a second, but we want to remind you guys fantasy fest is coming.
37:33Yes. The once a year, big event we do here on fantasy pros, where we've got the industry greats and we are
37:39a lot and we're, we're kidnapping them and we're forcing them on live streams for hours and hours and hours.
37:45And that is what we're going to be doing.
37:47And I believe I remember correctly. I think me and Debro are going to be like buddy partners.
37:52We're going to play buddy cop on the live stream for the first couple hours.
37:56Cause I'm going to be starting the hosting worm.
37:59We'll take over a couple hours in, but I think me and Debro are paired up and we want you guys to hang out with us.
38:06It is Wednesday, August 26th. It is at 3 PM Eastern.
38:09You can get all the strategy talk rankings. We're talking tears, sleeper bus league winners.
38:14We're going to do mock drafts. We've got giveaways and more, and there's going to be an after party after the four hours where we're live on YouTube.
38:22You can go over to Twitch, twitch.tv slash fantasy pros, and you can check it all out.
38:26We got Nathan Yankee. We got JJ, uh, Zachary.
38:29I mean, we got like, we got, we are great crew.
38:32You guys are going to love it. Come and check out, go and hit the notification.
38:36So you don't miss any of it. I know Tara is going to be there.
38:41So hang with us. August 26th, 3 PM Eastern is the start.
38:44That's where you get me and Debro, uh, come and hang out.
38:47And then if you miss it live, don't worry.
38:50We'll have, if you don't want to watch a four hour live stream, we will have some clipped out pieces for you
38:56guys, but hopefully you come and hang out with us.
38:59All right. Uh, going into the ninth round, I am up picking this back up here.
39:04So far on my team, I've got no tight end.
39:06I've got my flex at running back and I've got two backup wide receivers.
39:10Running backs are scary and bad. This is a player that I have not hyper-focused on that I'm going to take, but
39:17I'm going to take him in this spot here because we are talking touchdown equity.
39:21And I'm going to go with Chris Rodriguez. And I know Bayshel Tootin has been the dude, but Chris Rodriguez is here.
39:27He's here to do one thing and it is score touchdowns.
39:30You know, it'd be like the thing I'm here to do two things, chew gum and score touchdowns.
39:35And I'm all out of gum. Like that is what Chris Rodriguez is going to be here to do is goal line stuff.
39:42So I'm going to go with him. I want a little bit more coverage on the backup side of my running backs.
39:48I don't feel good about it though. There's a couple other of those guys, but running backs are thin and scary here,
39:54but I've got some wide receiver depth. So that is my pick here at nine to Debro.
39:59The top need I see here is you do not have a quarterback as Caleb Williams just went.
40:04Is that going to be your range or you're going to go with your super sneaky guy?
40:09I'm going with my sneaky guy. I'm going with a guy in standard leagues that was tied in five last year.
40:15And again, backing up my George Kittle, uh, pick scored 11 receiving touchdowns.
40:18I don't know if that happens this year, but he's going to be heavily involved in the red zone.
40:24Dallas Goddard. Come on down, baby. Let's go. Dude.
40:26Wow. You went back. You sneaky little sucker. Uh, Uh, yeah, I actually love that.
40:30And that would have been a nice little pair for, uh, Dallas Goddard here, but you did just take Dallas Goddard over
40:37Harold Fannin and Kyle Pitts as Fannin just went after that.
40:40Better offenses. Nine, five, uh, Ryan, you're up in a couple of picks here.
40:44Luckily you filled out a bunch of your overall starters.
40:47It's just talking defense kicker bench need. Where, where are you hoping to go with this ninth pick?
40:52Uh, I'm looking at the running backs. It's getting pretty thin.
40:55We're looking at like handcuffs by this point. And then I'm looking at the wide receivers and there's a couple number one
41:01targets I'm still seeing out there, but some of them are attached to questionable situations.
41:05We got Jordan Tyson with his injury. Um, and you know, what did they say?
41:09Two months. He could be out potentially with that.
41:12And we all know how hamstrings love to linger.
41:14Um, so I don't really know if I want to take him there.
41:18Then we got Michael Pittman jr. Sitting there and I'm not sure what to expect with him and Aaron Rogers yet.
41:24I do feel like he's going to be the target over a guy like DK Metcalf.
41:29Um, that's kind of, that's kind of the way I'm looking at right now is Michael Pittman jr.
41:34I've kind of been a Michael Pittman jr. Truther since he came into the league.
41:38Uh, I don't feel like he's ever really gotten a fair shake yet.
41:42And not to say that Aaron Rogers is a big jump up for a quarterback for him, but with competent quarterback play,
41:48I think he could have a potentially a low key good season here.
41:51Harold Fannin went after Goddard, Makai lemon, Kyle pits.
41:54So apparently this is the tight end round. I do not have a tight end.
41:58So that's bad news for me. Um, you took Michael Pittman is mentioned and Terry, you're coming up here, uh, as Wanda Robinson just went.
42:05So you're one pick away. I don't want to take away from any of the process here, but do you know where
42:11you're or what you're looking for with these, uh, upcoming picks?
42:15The decision. Yeah. The decision for me. Well, the first one is going to be fairly easy going with Tyler Algier, because
42:21again, we've got the injury to Jeremiah love. I got high ankle sprains, ambiguous, you know, could linger throughout the season.
42:27So maybe that turns into something that is valuable.
42:29And then the second pick, this is, this is, it's torn for me because, yeah, yeah, it doesn't look pretty.
42:35I know exactly what I want to do, but I'm torn on which one that I'm going to do it with.
42:41I'm just going to go ahead and go with, I know the other guy's not going to make it back to me.
42:47So it hurts my feelings, but I'm going with Casey conception.
42:50I'm so torn. I had multiple receivers that I wanted there, but, um, yeah, I think he's going to end up being the first look for the Browns.
42:58I know people think Browns offense, but again, we're talking 10th round.
43:01This is a good discount for a guy who could be the first look on the offense.
43:06And I love how they use, um, him in the little spurt that we had in preseason, very creatively, um, little rushing upside.
43:13There can get touchdowns in a wide variety of ways.
43:15So yeah, Casey conception. I like that one too, because it's sneaky just because they're going to use him in, in different ways as well.
43:23He's not just going to be a receiver. They're going to do end around stuff.
43:27They're going to probably try to play a lot of screen stuff with him.
43:31So there's just more touchdown opportunity. And that's what we've got to play here.
43:35So I think it's a really sneaky pick. Woody marks goes 10, two Zach Charbonnet and Ryan Dijon stripling in the 10th
43:41round in a straight up standard league. He's breaking records target and reception equity of what he's getting in the preseason looks incredible.
43:47We are seeing it without McCaffrey and Kittle and Evans, but he's clearly a target.
43:52And you just, I just want to point out, you took them over guys like Josh downs.
43:56Jordan Tyson is still sitting out there. Matthew golden, Romeo Dobbs.
43:59We know he's jumped up, but talk to us about, um, Dijon stripling.
44:03Uh, I'm actually, I'm not going to say I'm a big truther of stripling, but I'm a definitely like grab him later
44:09in your drafts and in your PPR leagues. Don't grab him in the 10th round.
44:14Like I just did here, but I, I did this again.
44:17We're doing, uh, there goes Debo. I was debating between him and Debo.
44:20Oh, touchdown upside. Debo was a guy I was thinking and considering.
44:24Ah, see, I knew you were talking. Yeah. That's exactly who I was alluding to earlier.
44:28He was going to be my next pick. And that's why I've kind of had Debo sitting off to the side, but
44:34again, we're doing a mock draft and I probably would have gotten Debo there, but I want to try things out.
44:40I want to see what my team's going to look like at the end.
44:44And I want to, I just, I love trying that stuff.
44:47Uh, Dijon stripling is somebody I'm, I'm, I'm pretty big on when it comes to like later round guys to go and
44:54grab and have on your bench for later, because I think there's potential there, uh, partway, halfway through the season where he's
45:00really going to start getting, coming into his own.
45:02Like you see with a lot of these rookies, that second half really bumps up 49ers round.
45:07Uh, we had Jacoby Myers, Jonah Coleman, which I fricking love that pick Debo has mentioned Bigsby and Debro.
45:13You went with Brock Purdy. Yep. Uh, I've talked about it.
45:16I mean, outlier passing touchdown rates. I don't see how that changes this year.
45:20I was in between him and Jackson dart felt like it was a good spot.
45:24If, if Debo didn't fall to me, I was going to pull the trigger on one of these quarterbacks.
45:29Um, and, and I feel good. I mean, like the team is balanced so far.
45:33Like I've got two tight ends. I've got a bunch of running backs.
45:37I do have only three wide receivers on this team, but I feel like we've gotten to the point of the draft
45:43where like the wide receiver tier is very flat.
45:46Um, you're really just taking upside shots on guys or veterans that are too cheap in draft.
45:51So whoever comes back to me, kind of like out of this tier, I'm fine with, I decide after Matthew golden, when
45:57I went with Travis Kelsey as my starting tight end at 10, 11, it did want a Dalton Kincaid.
46:02I'll pass on that a high end offense really torn here.
46:05And this guy is taking a huge slam for a multitude of reasons, but I'm gonna take Josh downs, Josh downs falling down here.
46:12I mean, I know like PPR is the place and, and Keenan Allen, you know, he's going to take some equity away,
46:18but I just, I think overall we're writing off Josh downs a little too soon, but I do worry about what his
46:24touch on equity looks like when you've got a guy like Keenan Allen running outs in the red zone, Tyler Warren's going to dominate that and Jonathan Taylor.
46:32So that he just, it's not as sexy in this format, but I just feel like from, as far as like a
46:39bench wide receiver, I got him as like my fifth or six wide receiver.
46:43There's some pretty good value there in between my two picks.
46:46We had Boston go Denzel Boston and Jackson dart at 11 one.
46:49So there's some, you know, there's some quarterback value.
46:52Tyrone Tracy goes 11, three. And then deeper. That was the guy I was really battling.
46:56Cause I think there might be better touchdown equity and maybe it would have just been a better overall choice.
47:02Romeo Dobbs. You went with, I, again, I think I'm investing in what could be a top five, top three scoring offense this year.
47:08People talk about targets spread around for new England.
47:11That's what happens when you don't have a clear number one and number two wide receiver in the offense.
47:16I think AJ Brown, Romeo Dobbs are going to be that this year.
47:20So I think he's going to score more touchdowns than people give him credit for, uh, because the offense is going to be really freaking good.
47:27And again, just in standard, you're not only touchdown hunting, just invest in good offenses.
47:32Uh, Rashid Shahid goes next, by the way, we are in the 11th round.
47:36So we are officially onto like kicker defense. Just watch.
47:38I just want to throw out for everybody. So we'll see if it ends up happening.
47:43Let's go. Uh, Jordan Tyson. Yeah. Ryan is up here in a second.
47:47We're at a spot as well. I mean, at least for me, I've got defense kicker, and then we've got two bench spots.
47:53We've only got a couple more rounds, and then we're going to take a look at the draft grades here.
47:59Um, there it is. Oh, it is. Aubrey. Aubrey was the first pick.
48:02We thought that was gonna be defense. So kicker goes.
48:05I thought it was a kicker. Yeah. So I think, uh, kicker was right.
48:09And then Debra, I think you said 11th round.
48:12So I think, yep. I was just looking for 11th round.
48:15One of them to go. Wow. All right. Good job.
48:18Uh, Xavier. I mean, good on that drafter at 11, seven.
48:21That's the official pick Xavier worthy. And then Ryan Tajay Spears for your ninth pick in the 11th round.
48:26Yeah, that's that. I mean, when we're getting this deep in the draft, that's just more of a depth pick for me
48:32at this point, I'm trying to fill in my bench and I only had three wide or three running backs at the time.
48:39Um, I'm, I don't really believe too much in Tony Pollard this season.
48:42Tajay Spears has shown us that when given the ball, he can do the job.
48:47So, I mean, this late in the draft, I'm really not upset about it.
48:51Uh, where are we? Isaiah likely Keaton Mitchell just went.
48:53And then, uh, I just know, I was like, man, Jalen Coker's a really good value.
48:58That's kind of floating out there. I mean, touchdown equity is a little scary.
49:02That's where Tara just went with the 11, 12.
49:04And then, uh, I'll let Tara maker pick on the 12 one as we finish this out here.
49:10But I really liked that Jalen Coker value. Cause there's not a ton of value that's floating out.
49:15There's a couple of tight ends. There's a couple of quarterbacks, but from the skill position standpoint, it's slim pickings and Dylan Samson was your pick Tara.
49:22Oh yeah. I didn't love that. I was just looking at, I, I got sniped on Keaton Mitchell.
49:27Thank you. Thinker. That was a good pick. Um, because that for all we know, I mean, just based off, uh, very
49:33interesting usage, maybe there's more of a handcuff, direct handcuff situation there than we were thinking with Keaton Mitchell.
49:39Um, so I love that pick. Um, Jalen Coker knew what I was going where they're with again, you know, touchdown equity
49:45in the, the Panthers offense is shaky, but falling to the 11th.
49:48That's really good value. Uh, Dylan Samson. This is another one that is more suited for PPR, but thought process here, if
49:55there are any lingering issues, um, or perhaps a new issue that pops up with Quenchon Judkins, that would open up some more opportunities for Samson.
50:02So just a handcuffing situation with a little bit of standalone value.
50:05Khalil Shakir, Brian Robinson, and then Ryan with Dalton Kincaid.
50:08Kincaid really seemed like there was some value that did you already have a tight end or was that your first?
50:14I did. Yes. I already had a Sam Laporta, but at this point of the draft, we can Cade sitting there in the 11th or 12th round.
50:22Um, with the touchdown equity that you have with a team like Buffalo, uh, I can't pass on that at all.
50:28And with, with, with how he was playing before the injury last year too, it was just unstoppable.
50:33I don't see that not stopping again. I don't see that not stopping again this year.
50:37Mark Andrews was the pick right after, the hamstring issue.
50:40I, I, I'm not projecting it this way, but I think there is a possibility.
50:44We could see Don Tavian Wicks who has been like a deeper separation, rap win rate darling over the last two years.
50:50Now in a full-time role with Philly, he's having a fantastic camp.
50:54Like there's a run out where Don Tavian Wicks shoves my high limit into a very Luther burden esque Ricky season that
51:00nobody's ready for that conversation, but it's possible. All right.
51:03I'm going to go with the backup tight end and Jake Ferguson, just simply because I had Travis Kelsey.
51:08I think I was like a little susceptible there.
51:11And again, coming back to our buzzword of touched on equity, that's what I wanted to play.
51:16And then, boy, I kind of hate everything. Um, I am going to still not get into the kicker defense range.
51:22And I'm going to take my boy, Emma Johnson.
51:24Emma Johnson is a, is a flyer touchdown, a high end touchdown RB guy.
51:28If there's any injuries with Ken Walker, and that's going to fill out for me, that's going to fill out my positional stuff.
51:34So I am going to go be going kicker defense.
51:37Does anybody here feel that there is anything? I know we didn't do it.
51:41So you're probably going to say no, but like Ryan, I'll ask you, is there any, like we should be drafting one of the kickers?
51:48Cause we, Aubrey is an advantage. Maybe defensively, the Rams are Texans.
51:52Did anybody feel the pull of wanting to take a kicker defense earlier?
51:55Or is it just last two rounds? Lock it up.
51:58Like everybody. Yeah. No. Okay. Nobody, no hands. All right.
52:01Good. All right. I thought I could get somebody, but that's the fact that I took a quarterback before round seven was a big step for me.
52:09So we had Marsha and Lloyd and Isaiah Pacheco go between my Emma Johnson picks.
52:13Cyrus Allen's a really good one. That's another one of those sneaky ones.
52:17It's just kind of floating down there. Um, we had, uh, Oh, Washington's looks phenomenal.
52:21Uh, with Vegas. he has Bubba. Yes, he has my RB two of this draft class pre-draft.
52:26Uh, loved Mike wash coming out as a prospect.
52:28He's looked fantastic. my top of my queue is Marshawn Lloyd and Mike Washington jr.
52:32So I look at both those guys are the clear and definitive handcuffs for their offenses.
52:37Jinty goes down. Josh Jacobs gets suspended. The MCL stuff lingers.
52:40I think Lloyd is going to be the clear guy there.
52:43I like that one a lot. Uh, we had our first defense in the third.
52:47So this is where they should be going about 13th round.
52:50We had the Houston Texans. Now we're going to see the run.
52:54Yeah, we're going to see the run of the kickers and the defense is going to start happening.
52:59Uh, the Rams went immediately after then Sean Tucker.
53:01And then Ryan, you've got your defense in here.
53:04You're in a good position. I'm probably in like, well, I guess I'm not in the worst position, but I sure as
53:10hell I'm not in a great position for this.
53:13Uh, you got the Broncos, the Seahawks went right after.
53:15So you're in this defensive range. Anything just, you wanted a top end defense.
53:19You value defense over kicker here. I do value defense over kickers.
53:23I just find the kickers to be so volatile.
53:25Um, it's a, it's an up and down thing.
53:28I actually haven't had kickers in any of my personal leagues in probably eight years now.
53:32So it's a very foreign concept. I have a balance though.
53:36There's, there's been some interesting discourse online where people are like, cause there's a lot of us.
53:40I mean, obviously there's like the Jakes of the world who are just so anti kicker.
53:45There's a lot of us that don't do want to go crazy into the value of trying to draft them because like,
53:51we're going to draft them at the back end of rounds.
53:54But there's a lot of people that are pushing back that it's like, well, there's some advantages and stuff like that.
54:00I'm not necessarily sure. I agree. Unless you do do like wacky scoring where something I firmly disagree with is like a
54:0641, yard field goal being like 4.1 points. Like it should just be like really standardized of like under 50 is three points.
54:13Maybe you could do four points for over 50 and then five points for over 60 or something like that.
54:18But kicker kickers are very divisive subject, at least online right now.
54:22Uh, we had the Seahawks go, we had Fairbairn and then Tara, you took a Trey Tucker and then you took a defense before kicker.
54:29You went with the Eagles. So anything to share on either of those picks?
54:33Yeah. Strategy wise, I don't, I don't mind streaming kicker.
54:36So I'm okay with saving that one for the last round there.
54:39Um, I did want to say as a side note, Debro shout out to another Mike Washington truther.
54:44There we go. I love it. He's good at football.
54:47Yes. Really good. Um, Baltimore Ravens went 14, two.
54:49We had, uh, Dicker, the kicker go 14, three cam little.
54:53That's a, I mean, that's a great pick for you, Ryan.
54:56Just, you know, get a, get an, somebody, somebody on a high scoring offense.
55:00And, uh, you know, personally, when it comes to kickers, I like to look for those offenses, offenses, offenses that are going
55:06to move the ball downfield, but not necessarily score often.
55:09You want to get those, those field goals, right?
55:11But on an offense, like the chargers, they're going to be in scoring position.
55:15They're going to get their field goals. They're going to get their touchdowns.
55:19You're going to get lots of points out of him.
55:22Not much more to explain than that. We have, there you go.
55:25Uh, we had the Steelers Malik Willis can get sneaked in there.
55:28We had the Bengals, uh, Bo Nix. There's another sneak one chargers, uh, D bro, you tackle the chargers.
55:34Any, any big defensive breakdowns you want to throw at us?
55:37Uh, they get the Cardinals and the Raiders, the weeks one and two.
55:40That's all you need to know. Draft the chargers.
55:43I like it. did it. We went with the Vikings.
55:46I took the Patriots. That was a top lift, according to fantasy pros on the defensive side.
55:51And then the Jaguars went 14, 12. This should be a big kicker round.
55:55We had Myers go 15, one. I was locked into Pinero.
55:58So again, for me, give me kickers that are either, uh, like an indoor or high powered offense, high powered offense being the first, most important thing.
56:05So love Pinero. McPherson goes, uh, McLaughlin goes to you.
56:08D bro again, Tampa Bay offense, anything extra there?
56:11No, just invest in good offense, kicker analysis. All right.
56:13I'm not going to go into crazy more of this.
56:16Let me ask you this while we're doing our last picks.
56:19D bro, since you and I are done, where do you think you are going to just do this quick?
56:25Because the draft will be done here in a second.
56:28Where do you think you're going to be? Um, bottom third, middle third, or top third of the, I actually really love this team.
56:35This is probably going to burn me horribly. I think this is going to be a top five team.
56:40Maybe I'm over my skis here, but I think I'm going to be, I also think I'm going to be top fives.
56:46This is a problem. Um, let's see. Ryan's up here.
56:49Tara, where do you think you're going to be?
56:52I'll go in the middle. I want to keep it modest.
56:55Hopefully overshadowed expectations. You don't want to get buried like us whenever we're like Welsh and I, or we're probably like assume
57:01we're a lot for the bottom five. We're guaranteed 11 and 12.
57:04We are. After that analysis, we are guaranteed to be the worst.
57:08All right. I like bell. I like bell's a big real quick.
57:11Ryan, where do you think you're going to be?
57:14Uh, I'm going to be in the middle probably.
57:16Okay. So we got two middle. So no one's going to be in the full bottom half here.
57:21So we've got Tara, Tara's last pick. And then we are going to see, Oh, I nailed it.
57:26I am in the top five. Uh, and I am 12.
57:29That again, there you go. I'm 10. I told you, I told you as soon as I said it, and I love this team.
57:36So I, I adamantly disagree, uh, with the grades here to be kidding me that you were not just low.
57:42You were the bottom. All right. So here is the finish.
57:45Yeah. That kills me. Your top 12 deep bro at the bottom trusted venom at 11 Tara.
57:50You finished 10. What's happening here. Uh, we had thinker at nine, uh, aim at eight divvy are at seven.
57:55Ryan, you finished six. So that does mean I am the big winner here of us.
58:00I finished fifth kicker. Love at four big C at three.
58:03Uh, AMM at two and, um, Maka, Maka, uh, finished with the number one.
58:07I ended up getting a B. I think that's what Ryan most likely would have got me.
58:12Yep. B or B minus. And then your score is very, um, an interesting number, by the way.
58:17Yeah. It is an interesting number. It's the mark of the beast.
58:20I didn't even realize that. I'm the mark of the beast one.
58:24Six, six, six, six, uh, D bro. Just real quick is we're going to break this down.
58:28Let's see. Dr. I'm going to look at your team.
58:31You had Brock pretty at quarterback Hampton. Javante Williams is your running backs.
58:35Puka and Christian Watson is your wide receivers. George Kittle at tight end.
58:38DJ more at flex, really strong chargers defense and McLaughlin at kicker.
58:42Your bench was reminder. Stevenson Rico, Mike Washington wide out.
58:45You had Dobbs and wicks and you had Dallas Goddard in there.
58:48Is anything you would have rather have done differently?
58:51I mean, the projections don't necessarily mean everything here, but you just, you hate to see the last spot.
58:56Should this really have been last? I, I mean, roast me.
58:59Everybody roast me. Like if you hate this team, roast me.
59:02I, I, I love this team. I don't understand why I got crushed, but I did get crushed.
59:07I mean, it has me like eighth at tight end.
59:10When I got George Kittle and Dallas Goddard, Dallas Goddard was tight in five and standard last year.
59:15So I don't, why are you? I don't flex.
59:18I, more either. I don't, I don't, I don't know.
59:21I'm like, I'm literally speechless. Like roast me Tara.
59:23We all, no, no, we all must've been really good.
59:26Well, tell me what sucks. Um, I can't tell you what sucks about your team.
59:30Cause I don't think it does. I know that this draft hated my wide receivers.
59:34That was really, it's telling me wide receivers, subpar selections.
59:37And then also said, Hey girl, you should have done something other than Tyler Warren.
59:41We'll look at that. We'll look at that here in a second.
59:45This is what's really funny on the insights. When you're doing the mock drafts, once you finish a mock draft, you're going to get pick analysis.
59:52The number one change it had, unfortunately for your team, it really didn't do too much for you.
59:57The, the pick analysis said that you take Jordan Addison instead of Dallas Goddard.
60:01That would have been a big boost for you.
60:04Jordan Addison and Jake Ferguson over Dallas Goddard and Dontavian Wicks.
60:07Or if I had to go on Malik neighbors and Al Isaiah Pacheco over Javante and Wicks, like the funniest thing about this though is under experts.
60:14Um, the number one lover of this team, is Derek brand.
60:17I gave myself a 94. So I, at least I'm drafting based off of what I like.
60:22He's consistent people. I'm brand. Brandon Merchinson. Lee weary.
60:25Also liked it. Uh, you had one F that was from Lawrence, uh, Icona who did not like yours.
60:30Um, nobody here or anything like that hating it.
60:33So that was a C unfortunately. Uh, we'll go take a look at Tara who Tara finished in the 10 spot.
60:39The team was, as I go over to Trevor Lawrence, a quarterback, you had Derek Henry and Saquon, absolutely sick running back
60:45pair with wide outs of T Higgins and a Mecca.
60:48I really liked that. Tyler Warren and tight end Jameson Williams at flex with the Eagles and Bates as the defense and kicker.
60:54Your bench. You have a non guy, Algier and Samson as your backup running backs, Concepcion, Coker and Trey Tucker as your wide receivers.
61:01Um, I actually, I think the structure of your team looks really good, but maybe it just didn't like some of the pairings.
61:07I'm not a hundred percent sure, but yeah, you, you were ninth at wide receiver, ninth at quarterback, middle of the pack
61:14kind of on the rest, but you finished with a ninth starter 11 bench.
61:18So any thoughts you want to throw on this Tara?
61:20Yeah. You know, I love the running books. I'm noticing as I'm looking, um, the combination of Derek Henry and Saquon Barkley,
61:27I think might've also been a weird one, but in standard, I love that combination there.
61:31I can see why that it would be a big problem in half PPR, obviously in full PPR for sure.
61:37But in standard, I would double down on that direction.
61:40100% every time. Yeah. My only worry with your team Tara is if a Mecca is toe injury.
61:45Um, it lingers. My only worry would be the wide receivers, but I think you backed it up with two great upside
61:51shots with Casey could see on and Jalen Coker.
61:53So, uh, uh, Lawrence, by the way, just as the biggest hater, Lawrence also hated yours more than anybody.
61:59And it wasn't Mecca, but funny. The second biggest hater was deep.
62:02Deeper. Yeah. I liked your team though, too. Derek Henry.
62:05You hate it. Yeah. That's fair. I have Saquon lower than consensus.
62:08So that's probably drawing a lot of that here.
62:11Yeah. Uh, and at the top spot, Seth Miller, like this team, the most with a plus 97 out of a hundred.
62:17Uh, you did have the number five consensus sleeper RB, which was Dylan Sampson.
62:21So those are a few of the insights. And, and again, they've got the, what if stuff pick analysis.
62:26Had you taken Brian Thomas, they said at seven, 12, instead of Trevor Lawrence, you would have scored 25 points higher.
62:32Unfortunately. I mean, that would have gotten you to about six, eighth or seventh or something like that, but it wouldn't have done anything crazy.
62:39So that is your team going over to Ryan, the fantasy dude finishing with an 85 out of a hundred.
62:45And we're going to take a look at this team structure.
62:48Ryan's team was Joe Burrow at quarterback, Christian McCaffrey and Jeremiah love at RB.
62:52I forgot you got McCaffrey. So you had all those rookies.
62:55McCaffrey. Drake, London and Rashid rice at wide receiver.
62:58Sam LaPorta at tight end. Janarian price was the flex Broncos and cam little defense and kicker.
63:03And on the bench, only one running back on the bench, Tajay spears, heavy wide outs, Alec Pierce, Michael Pittman, Dejan Stribling, Chris bell.
63:09And then you've got Dalton Kincaid. So what do you, what do you think overall?
63:14You think you did say middle of the pack.
63:16So you kind of nailed this, Ryan. Yeah. I mean, I said it with the Jeremiah love pick with mock drafts.
63:22You want to try things out. You want to try and take players.
63:26You're not comfortable with, see how you feel about it.
63:28You're not trying to win a mock draft. You're trying to see what, what you're happy with, with your team.
63:34I wasn't happy with Jeremiah love. I'm going to be honest with you, but I tried it out.
63:39Otherwise, when it comes to my team, I really liked the addition of Jair, a Jair and price as my flex.
63:45I think the touchdown upside, especially in a standard league is going to be pretty big for him.
63:50The having Sam Laporta fall down as far as he did was also kind of a blessing.
63:55But yeah, I'm for the most part, I'm happy with the team, but there are a couple of picks I might have done differently along the way.
64:03The biggest one on under the pick analysis is it said that you had taken Jamison Williams at five, nine over Jair and price.
64:09And then it had a suggestion on what you could have done later.
64:13You would have scored 37 more points in a row.
64:16And that would have gotten you third place. Had you made that change.
64:20So that's kind of like in tow with what you were talking about.
64:23Very, very, very funny. I got to say the running joke though, D bro, you're on this again and you hate this team.
64:30You're the fourth lowest score with a D at 66.
64:32Icona or yeah, I think it's Icona just hates all the teams.
64:36So that must be a bug. But Joel Smith from Yahoo, number one with a 96, you got a lot of 94, 95.
64:42I see Tom Strachan in here, Josh Norris. You had some really good people liking your team overall, except D bro.
64:48And that's the running theme. and I don't want to be very, very particular.
64:52My, my hate. And the reason I think that my grade is lower is I'm dramatically below consensus on Rasheed Rice and
64:58Jeremiah love just cause I'm scared about them. But the dude outlined both of those picks and the, the, you know, the thought behind this exercise.
65:06All right. So my team, I ended with Jalen hurts at quarterback, Bijan and Kyron Williams at running back.
65:11I got Chris Alave and Mike Evans at wide receiver.
65:14Kelsey's my starting tight end and Travis HN as my flex.
65:17I like that. Patriots on the defense, Pinero at kicker, my bench.
65:20I got Chris Rodriguez and Emmitt Johnson as my backup running backs.
65:24My backup wideouts for Marvin Harrison, Chris Godwin, Josh downs.
65:27And I also took Jake Ferguson. I very much like my team.
65:30I was given the number one flex. So that was me going high and running back.
65:35They, they hated my wide receivers though. I think Mike Evans in standard.
65:38It didn't, it didn't equate to because it gave me 12th at wide receiver.
65:42And if you go on the spider chart, it gave me the worst second wide receiver you could have of, of the really.
65:49Yeah. I, I just, I completely disagree. Standard league with Mike Evans.
65:52Right. If you go under strength, you can see this.
65:55Really disagree with that. Yeah. But running backs, it gave me the number two overall running back, the number three RB two
66:01in Kyron Williams and the number one flex. So I really kind of strength up strength up there, if you will.
66:07Um, C champ pick was awesome. Yeah. I mean, it ended up working out, I guess.
66:12Alex cup, uh, loved my team the most. Unfortunately, the Debro love ends here.
66:15Um, but I got, I got A's and a pluses at a 97.
66:19Uh, but Erickson didn't like my team, but I will say I did not get a single F.
66:24I got, um, one D and then a couple of C's.
66:27So no F's in there. So my team ended up being 86 out of a hundred.
66:32I'll kind of take that. And then the final thing to throw at you was what the number one team look like.
66:38I just want to give the draft board for, um, Makalaka was Jackson dart at quarterback, Jameer Gibbs, David Montgomery at running
66:44back, Devonta Smith and Terry McLaurin at wide receiver, Brock Bowers at tight end, Carnell Tate at flex, Jags and Myers, a
66:50defense kicker on the bench was Dobbins, white Pacheco, and Marshall and Lloyd and backup whiteouts were Stefan digs in Boston.
66:56I don't actually particularly think this looks like a number one, but I think this is the best bench bar none between anybody.
67:03There's a little bit lacking on the starters to me, but started a ton of touchdowns on this team.
67:08Yeah. Yeah. Do you guys agree? This is a number one, Ryan.
67:12I mean, I wouldn't, I don't know if I agree with a number one, but I definitely see why it's ranking it at number one.
67:19When you look at Gibbs, Monty Smith, you know, Bowers, all this touchdown upside here in a standard, in a standard league.
67:25The bench is deep. I love the bench. You're not kidding on that at all.
67:29So I definitely see why this one's at number one, but not a team.
67:33I would probably draft. I think the fact that they drafted possibly the two players that could finish top, like number one
67:39at their respective positions in Gibbs and Bowers is probably carrying a lot of water.
67:43Yeah. Well, we'd love to hear from you guys in the comments below.
67:47We finally rocked in a standard mock draft. What do you guys think?
67:51What was your favorite build? What were some of your favorite picks?
67:54And also who are some of the players that need to change and adjust where you're normally drafting players like we did
68:00with Mike Evans or Devonta, Devonta Adams or Derek Henry?
68:03Who are some of those players that you think need to be boosting up?
68:07You guys can drop in the comments below. And when you do so and you're subscribed, you are putting yourself in a
68:13chance to have Colson Loveland autographed jersey coming to your house.
68:16You can win that autographed jersey. We'd love for you to have it.
68:20And if you guys are getting set for your mock drafts, you can do just like we did here today, going over
68:26to the draft simulator, fantasypros.com slash mock. You can also just click through the draft simulator.
68:31You can set up private mock drafts where it's just you if you want.
68:35I'd also say you can sync up your league.
68:37You can do your draft settings. You can practice against ECR or you can jump into those public mock drafts and you
68:44can draft against people all day long. And you can use all the tools that we've been talking about on this, like
68:50at the end of drafts where you can look at the spider charts.
68:53You can look at your team strengths. You can look at the suggestions and you can get some of those other insights.
69:00That might be helpful as you are either hardcore going after a certain type of draft you're doing or you're exploring and
69:06experimenting like we kind of talked about in this mock draft for what your league has got going down.
69:11That's going to do it for Derek Brown, Tara Roberts, Ryan, the fantasy dude.
69:15I'm Chris Welsh. I hope this helped you out and good luck in your drafts.
69:19We'll talk to you next time right here on Fantasy Pros.
