Adonai Mitchell

PositiveUsage20:53

Adonai Mitchell is seeing significant volume with a 23.1% target share, 2.16 yards per route run, and a 25% first-read share. His 15.7 ADOT indicates high-upside big-play potential, and he faces a Lions secondary that is a liability, ranking 13th in yards per target allowed and 12th in fantasy points per target allowed to wide receivers.

Insight page
PositiveUsage33:50

Adonai Mitchell is a strong flex play due to high volume and deep-threat potential. He holds a 23.1% target share, 2.16 yards per route run, and a 25% first read share. With a 15.7 ADOT and four deep targets, he is a high-ceiling play against a Lions secondary that allows the 12th most fantasy points per target to perimeter receivers.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveValue3:45

Bryce Young is currently QB 17 in ECR despite being the QB 2 in fantasy points per game through two weeks. While his accuracy metrics (catchable target rate and highly accurate throw rate) are low, he ranks 10th in passing success rate and 8th in hero throw rate. He is a strong start against a Browns defense that is bottom 12 in pressure rate and allows high passing success rates. Brown argues Young should be ranked closer to the top 12.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeMatchup25:00

DK Metcalf is a fade this week as he is expected to be shadowed by DJ Turner, who held Metcalf under 50 receiving yards in both of their matchups last season.

Insight page

Kyle Monangai

PositiveRole11:47

Kyle Monongai is a strong flex play against the Eagles. Despite the uncertainty at quarterback, the Bears are expected to lean on the run game given the Eagles' defensive struggles, specifically their 9th highest explosive run rate allowed and 5th highest missed tackle rate. Monongai is projected for 12-15 opportunities and has touchdown upside.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

NegativeInjury24:55

Michael Pittman Jr. is dealing with a foot injury that is not 100%, which limits his reliability even if he returns to the lineup this week.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveValue24:04

Pat Freiermuth is a strong start and currently undervalued as the ECR TE17. He is the only Steelers player with red zone targets (two) and is currently the TE12 in fantasy points per game. With Michael Pittman Jr. banged up and the Bengals' defense struggling against tight ends—allowing the ninth-most yards per target and sixth-most fantasy points per target—Freiermuth is poised for heavy short-to-intermediate target volume.

0:04Grainger, for the ones who get it done. Another Primer episode of the program with our top Must Start players.
0:11I'm your host Seth Wilcox, still rocking and rolling with a man who's giving me all the junior high football coach vibes today.
0:18That's right, he's your friend and mine, downtown Derrick Brown.
0:21Dbro, how was the process of crafting the Primer?
0:24I'm sure your big brain's just filled with all the info that you're excited to unload with us today.
0:29We went with junior high school coach vibes, huh?
0:32That's... Do you want junior varsity? Do you want varsity?
0:35It gets hurt! I've been watching a little Friday Night Lights and you kind of...
0:40It gets hurt! And you kind of give me like Friday Night Lights coaching vibes right now, which ain't a bad thing.
0:47Those guys are some dogs out there calling plays with Mustangs.
0:50You know what's so hilarious and horrible about all of this?
0:54My freaking kids, my teenagers said the same thing.
0:56The other day I was in the car and I go to pick them up and my daughter gets into the car and we're talking about it.
1:05She's like, you really got some like junior high, like football coach, gym teacher vibes going on right now.
1:11And I was wearing like a tank top and some wind pants and stuff.
1:15And I was like, man, I feel... I took a hit, Seth.
1:19I didn't know I was going to catch strays on this show too, man.
1:23But I'm here for it, man. It's a good thing.
1:26That's a good look. I would like those vibes.
1:29I don't give the... I don't know if that's a good look, man.
1:33I give like nerdy, you know, 20 some year old vibes.
1:37I don't know if that's a good look, but I mean, we can only do what we can do with what we got.
1:44So I'm just playing the cards at life to help me, my man.
1:48Hey, absolutely. And you're doing a bang up job at it, my friend.
1:52And we're gonna do a bang up job hopefully on today's program because it's loaded.
1:56We got must starts for each position, quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end.
2:01And before we get down to business, just want to thank everyone truly for all the support on the famous pros YouTube
2:08channel and the audio feed so far this season.
2:11We're trying to get to 300,000 subscribers by the end of it.
2:14We can only get there with your help. So please give this video a thumbs up if you enjoy this type of
2:21content and don't forget to subscribe to the channel if you're new.
2:25And Derek Brown, we're gonna start out at the quarterback position where you're taking us to the shores of Lake Erie.
2:31Why is Bryce Young QB 17 in ECR right now when both of his wide receivers are both top 24 in ECR?
2:38And through two games, Bryce Young is the QB 2 in fantasy points per game.
2:43Crazy. I, I, I felt like this is the low hanging fruit and I'll just go ahead and pick it and enjoy it.
2:50And like, I don't know if Bryce Young keeps this up for the totality of the season because right now, Sure.
2:57Amongst 25, 29 qualifying passers, he is 30 yards per attempt, 10th in passing success rate and 8th in hero throw rate.
3:03The downside of all of it and the Bryce Young of all of it is in that same sample.
3:09He is also second lowest in catchable target target rate and second lowest in highly accurate throw rate.
3:15So I don't know if Bryce Young keeps doing this for the totality of the season, but sure.
3:20I feel pretty good about him this week though, Seth.
3:24Cleveland Browns past defense has not been good through two games.
3:27Fifth highest passing success rate, seventh highest short, uh, pass rating allowed fifth highest CPOE.
3:32Plus they are bottom 12 and pressure rates. So Bryce Young throwing from clean pockets to his top two wide receivers who are healthy.
3:39I feel good about Bryce Young. Like, I don't know if he's gonna be a top five option again this week, but
3:46can he put up QB one numbers? Yeah, I think that's definitely possible.
3:50So like, I don't understand why he's ranked as low as he is.
3:54I feel like that's not really like commiserate with his production and it's more of people just gravitating to his name and stuff.
4:01Like, I mean, you tell me, Seth, do you feel better about, and I know this game is going to already be in played.
4:09Bryce Young versus Jordan love Bryce Young versus Kyler Murray Bryce Young versus Bo Nix.
4:13Like all of these quarterbacks are ahead of him.
4:16ECR. I can't make a case for them, but they are.
4:19No, I'll take Bryce Young. Same. Both ways and on Sunday, right?
4:23Yep, same. Like, I think the change in, like, we all, I think, believe Dave Canales, really good offensive mind.
4:29Maybe not the best play caller though. And we're seeing the fruits of his labor passing those duties off can't really pay off, right?
4:37Right now, Young leads the league in passing touchdowns, second in the league in passing yards per game, and sixth in quarterback rating.
4:44I know some of that, you know, they were in a shootout in week one, but last week they didn't have to pass necessarily.
4:51They got up on the Falcons early and just kept, you know, throwing haymakers at him.
4:56You love what you've seen out of Tadarone McMillan again, kind of doing his thing.
5:01But Jalen Coker here, top six in the NFL in receptions and receiving yards, man.
5:06And I know we got the backfield wrong for fantasy, but Chuba Hubbard also kind of helping move the sticks and give Bryce Young more opportunity out there.
5:14So it's hard to, you know, shy away from the Panthers offense and fantasy.
5:19It's also hard to shy away from them on the betting card.
5:22I got them laying the minus two and a half this week against the Browns.
5:27To your point too, do you know the team that leads the NFL in neutral passing rate right now, Seth?
5:33Carolina Panthers. Is it the Panthers? It is the Panthers.
5:36Really? They are throwing at almost 72% of their plays in close games right now.
5:41Yeah. Well, and this is like why the conversation over the off season and, you know, everyone said this is Bryce Young's last chance.
5:49And I did agree with that to a sense.
5:51Oh, I did agree with that. Still do. At the same time, though, we saw him play good at the end of the year, right?
5:59Like he really started coming to his own, especially in that Rams wildcard game.
6:03He was mixing it up. And I just think this is like the all-time best we've seen him.
6:09And he's making a real case for himself. If he can even keep up 80% of this production, rest of the way,
6:16he's going to give himself a new contract down there in Charlotte.
6:20Oh, he is. Yeah. And, I mean, it comes down to who would you feel better, not only from a Carolina Panthers perspective, but just an NFL perspective.
6:28Who would you feel better about paying right now long term?
6:32Bryce Young or CJ Stroud? I'd rather give the money to Bryce Young.
6:36And two years ago, even a year ago, we would say no way.
6:40Yeah. Right? Yeah. But this is flipped on its head.
6:43Oh, it's flipped. CJ Stroud just looks like he is who he is at this point of his career.
6:49But, again, we're getting back to it. Tie to bow on this.
6:52Bryce Young should be closer to the top 12 quarterbacks.
6:56Quarterbacks in ECR. Yes. Than he is. He sure as hell should not be QB 17.
7:01So, starting. I completely agree. Misstep there by the expert consensus rankers.
7:04Derek, take me to Chi Town for your next bet.
7:07Or next play here. Where you got a RB2 firing them up against a Philadelphia Eagles team off a late win against Tennessee Titans.
7:15Yeah. I'm telling people that Kyle Monongai is a very strong flex this week.
7:19And I know the volume has been kind of back and forth and stuff.
7:23He's still the 1B in that Chicago backfield. The reason that I'm going with Monongai.
7:28And I have no clue as of the time we're recording this.
7:32No clue who the Chicago Bears starting quarterback is going to be this week.
7:36Yeah. But I'm telling you, it doesn't matter. I don't care if Caleb's under center.
7:41I don't care if Tyson Bajan's under center. I don't care if it's freaking Case Keenum.
7:46What Ben Johnson in this matchup is going to do.
7:49And we've seen him do this in week one.
7:52We saw this last year when the matchup called for it.
7:55He is going to try to run the freaking ball down the Eagles' throats.
7:59And they don't have the run defense to stop him if he wants to do that and try to impose his will.
8:06And that's why I think Kyle Monongai is a very strong flex.
8:10Has he gotten a lot of red zone usage?
8:13No. He's gotten three red zone rushing attempts out of the 11 total between him and Swift.
8:18But there is red zone equity there. Is it a ton?
8:21No. Can he still score a touchdown this week and be a very strong flex?
8:26Yes. As well as if you look at the matchup, Seth, quietly through two weeks, the Eagles' run defense has given up
8:33the ninth highest explosive run rate, the fifth most yards or to contact per attempt, and the fifth highest missed tackle rate.
8:40All this says, if you're Benny Johnson, is saying, OK, I don't care who we got under center.
8:45We're running the ball probably freaking like 35 times this week combined between our two backs, if not more, if we get
8:52up on a positive game script and the Eagles are trailing.
8:56I'm not projecting it that way. But I think Kyle Monongai is going to walk out of this game with it somewhere
9:02in the realm of 12 to 15 opportunities on the ground.
9:06And if he gets in the end zone, we're discussing a guy that probably a top 24 running back if he scores a touchdown.
9:13Yeah. You look at what the running backs have done as a whole against Philly as of late.
9:19JCM in week one. He only took 16 of the 27 carries for Washington, still 63 yards and a touchdown, though, caught a target.
9:26And then last week, the Titans actually found something on the ground a little bit with Tony Pollard, right?
9:3214 for 64. TyJ Spears, 741. Caught two passes for 29 yards.
9:36So I do agree. I think it's a really good spot for him.
9:40I think the overall volume of plays maybe goes down a little bit with a second or third string signal caller under
9:47center, which could maybe hurt some of those opportunities.
9:50My biggest frustration with this Chicago offense is like, what was going on in the offseason?
9:55Because I didn't think Kyle Monongai was going to be healthy and ready to go.
9:59And he was off my draft board for a majority of it.
10:03And all of a sudden, he's looking spry here early in the season.
10:07That's fair. I mean, I thought you were going to take this into what in the press tailor are we doing here?
10:14Oh, well, that too. I don't want to be real.
10:17Ben Johnson has to take back over the reins and be the loudest voice in the room and say, look, like we need to stop doing stupid stuff.
10:26But to your Kyle Monongai point. Yeah, man. I mean, like we all walked into it saying, OK, what kind of injury does he have?
10:33How long does this affect him? And he bounced back much faster than I think any of us thought he would, especially
10:40coming out the gate in week one and having a banner week and then still being a very big factor in this backfield.
10:47So I agree with you. Yeah. Press Taylor. Dude.
10:50He's always kind of done this. I don't understand why he still has a job in the freaking NFL, Seth.
10:56I die. I die. I don't get it. I don't get it.
11:00Don't get it. Some people are good in interviews.
11:03You know what I mean? I don't think that's me, but some people out there are good in interviews.
11:09Good shaking hands. It's something to be said for nepotism.
11:12Folks, if you want a chance to win the ultimate symbol of fantasy football glory, the fantasy football championship belt courtesy of

11:57And claim your prize if you are that lucky winner.
12:00Derek, let's go ahead. You got three wide receivers for us this week.
12:04And one staying in this same matchup between Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears.
12:08Yeah, man. I think Dontavian Wicks is a very strong play this week.
12:12You look at how he's opened the season. 74, 73 receiving yards to open the season.
12:172.72 yards per route run. A 23.1% first read share.
12:20He's the clear wide receiver two in the Philadelphia Eagles offense.
12:24Makai Lemon has just been shoved to the side by Dontavian Wicks.
12:27Now with the injury to Dallas Goddard. And they're going to be starting Johnny freaking Munt this week.
12:33Even if Zach Ertz is active, I don't think he's going to play a ton of snaps.
12:38I mean, you got to get up to speed in the offense.
12:42You also have to like, we have to prove that he's healthy.
12:46So you're looking at an Eagles passing attack that has consolidated down pretty much to Devonta Smith and Dontavian Wicks going against
12:52a secondary Seth that has given up the most yards per target to perimeter wide receivers.
12:57Wheels freaking up for Dontavian Wicks this week. You're not incurable.
13:01You're not broken. You're having a normal human experience and we have a solution for that.
13:06And that solution is our show Free Therapy. I'm Ben.
13:09And I'm Kevin. And we think everyone could use a little bit of therapy, including us.
13:14Absolutely. That's why each week we sit down with a different therapist to talk about the things we're all dealing with.
13:20If you're trying to get rid of anxiety, you're actually fueling more anxiety.
13:24We talked to some of the leading therapists in the country about all of life's headaches, work, family dynamics, and of course, dating and relationships.
13:32Everyone chooses a different set of problems, challenges, flaws.
13:35You have to figure out which set of problems you're willing to work with.
13:39So listen to Free Therapy with Ben and Kevin on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
13:46Because therapy is expensive, but our podcast is free!
13:49What up, y'all? This your main man, Memphis Bleak, right here, host of that Rock Solid podcast.
13:54And each week, we bring in you exclusive looks inside music, everything happening inside the culture.
13:59Some of the best conversations with the biggest names in the game.
14:03You had a little bit more pressure to be good.
14:06And they didn't care if you was a girl.
14:08Like, you wasn't getting no points because you was a girl.
14:12If you're not trash, you better be not just good, you better be great.
14:16On Rock Solid, we talking to rap legends, hit-making producers, rising stars from the golden era to the future of this hip-hop
14:23game, where we keep it 100% unfiltered and keep it nothing but rock solid.
14:27Yeah. The thing about Jay, my opinion is, he's been so great at being seen but mysterious.
14:33You know what I'm saying? He don't gotta come talk about nothing.
14:36Nothing. You figure it out. So it's always a mystique and mysteriousness behind him, but it ain't like you don't see him.
14:43Listen to Rock Solid on Black Effect Podcast Network, iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you stream podcasts.
14:49Hi, it's Alec Baldwin. This season on my podcast, here's the thing I'm speaking with more artists, policymakers, and performers like actor Stephen Root.
14:56I think for me to be any good or for any character actor to be any good, you gotta put enough of
15:03yourself and your empathy for people in it. I'm a people watcher.
15:07You see that guy going down the street and go, yeah, I can use that.
15:11Open Igloo co-founder Alia Mohammed. I love staying on top of what is going on in our city, what is going on
15:18in city politics, what is on renters' minds, and taking all of that knowledge to build a platform that hopefully is going
15:25to make New York City better in the long run.
15:28And actress and singer Melissa Errico. Partnership took on a whole other meaning when I started making my own work.
15:34It's like you with a great actress or actor.
15:37It was best to come out of your trailer full of life and just face another person who's full of life and don't talk.
15:45Listen to Here's the Thing on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
15:50Yeah, it's hard not to be excited about Wicks.
15:53This is a guy you were pretty high on all offseason.
15:56Try to tell people. I did struggle with it, to be honest, because I felt like sometimes we've seen these Packers wide
16:03receivers leave and go other places, and we really haven't gotten the production.
16:07Well, it's also your Makai Lemon love, too. So let's, I was much lower on Lemon than I think pretty much most people.
16:14Like, I was out on him for dynasty at cost, but I was definitely a little bit more interested in redraft.
16:21I will agree with that. And Wicks, I mean, 10 targets already through two games, and I think the big thing that
16:27gives him maybe some potential even more value, Derek, he is right now leading all Eagles wide receivers in red zone targets, right?
16:35He has two of them, one per game. Dallas Goddard, he's second on that list with two.
16:40And so, you know what I mean? It's making even more opportunities for a potential breakout game from Wicks.
16:46Duntavian Wicks, a very strong wide receiver three that honestly could be a wide receiver two in your lineups.
16:52And where you drafted him in the offseason and where he's at on your depth chart, you're playing him as a wide
16:59receiver three or a flex, and he is going to outplay that.
17:02Derek, where you were right on Devante, Duntavian Wicks, you weren't so right a couple weeks ago on your love or lack
17:09of love for your boy down there in the bayou.
17:12Yeah, man. I wasn't in on Devon Bailey. I even tweeted this out the other day, taking an L lap, as it were.
17:19Yeah, I liked it, though. You don't see many of those these days.
17:23You can't enjoy the victory laps, and we can't stretch the hamstrings to sit here and run those victory laps if you're
17:30not also willing to sit here and eat the L.
17:33Like, we all have to sit here and pull the Jameis Winston, and we got to eat the L sometimes if this is going to be the case.
17:42You can't have it both ways. Just ignore when you miss on players.
17:46And I missed on Devon Bailey. Like, I'm not sky high on him.
17:50I think this week he is a very strong flex.
17:53He's wide receiver 36 in ECR. I think that's appropriate.
17:56But if you were to tell me, like, he produces much like Dontavian Wicks as a wide receiver two this week, I
18:03won't be surprised because he's wide receiver 15 in fantasy points per game, Seth, in this pass happy New Orleans Saints offense.
18:10Yeah. Where his per route metrics aren't great. Like, he only has a 17.8% target share, 1.49 yards per route run.
18:16He is carrying almost a 23% first read share.
18:19He has been the clear number two option in the Saints passing attack above Bryce Lance, above Juwan Johnson.
18:25I didn't see those things coming. So I'm taking the L there.
18:29But I think it's a W for everybody that picked him up off the waiver wire and is looking to start him
18:36this week because he's going against the pass defenses that allowed the second most yards per target to opposing slot wide receivers.
18:42And Tyler Shuck is going to keep doing what Tyler Shuck has done throughout the entirety of this season.
18:48Again, we talked about how pass happy the Carolina Panthers have been right behind them, Seth.
18:53And neutral passing rate are the New Orleans Saints chucking it at 68.2% of their neutral plays.
18:59So Tyler Shuck is not going to slow down throwing the ball.
19:02Also, if you put up in how we're projecting this game and Devon Bailey's outcome this week, Travis Etienne is now on
19:09the injury report with a hamstring issue. Alvin Kamara looks like he is dust.
19:14They cannot run the ball. They're going to throw the ball.
19:17Yeah. Bailey is going to be a big part of that.
19:20So, yes, I think he's a very strong wide receiver three flex play.
19:24And again, another player that is going to get ranked as a wide receiver three and put into lineups as a wide receiver three or a flex.
19:33But when it's all said and done in fantasy streets, he has been a wide receiver two for two games and he
19:40could continue to produce like that this week. I especially like the statistic you threw out about the first read share, because
19:46I think that's going to be crucial in this game against Vegas, because not only do they have Prosby out there, but
19:53Quiddy pays to helping him get out of the, you know, get after the pass or even more.
19:59So I think it's going to be a lot of quick reads here for Tyler Shuck, the current leader in the NFL and passing yards through two weeks.
20:08And they lay Derek, you want to take a guess where he is among wide receivers in targets this season?
20:14Top six. 11th. Okay. Pretty close though. You know, you know what I mean?
20:18Like he's having a really strong season. He had a good end of the season before he got banged up late too.
20:25So Devon Valle in lineups this week for downtown Derek Brown.
20:28Let's go ahead. You got one more receiver. You'd like to spotlight kind of another player who went under the radar in
20:35drafts and all of a sudden is bidding to be in a fancy manager lineups this week.
20:4080 Mitchell, man. That dude, he's getting volume. This is a game script in a game environment where the Jets are going
20:47to have to keep pace with the Lions offense.
20:50And that is going to force Gino to chuck the ball.
20:53And Adonai Mitchell has been getting a crap ton of volume, man.
20:5723.1% target share. He's been producing two on a per route basis.
21:012.16 yards per route run. A 25% first read share.
21:04And when he does connect, it's been big plays because he has a 15.7 ADOT, dude.
21:09So like when he hits and catches the freaking ball, he is going to produce big time yardage.
21:15And he's got four deep targets, which is accounted for 26.6% of his target volume.
21:19He's going up against a Detroit Lions secondary. That's given up the 13th most yards per target and the 12th most fantasy points per target.
21:27Two perimeter wide receivers. 80 Mitchell. Another player that right now wide receiver 31 in ECR or he's a wide receiver three or a flex play.
21:35And I keep hammering this point because all three of these guys are living in this type of area code.
21:41And this week, considering their usage, the matchups and everything in between, we can flip over the cards after this week and
21:48be like, oh my God, like all three of these guys are inside the top 24 wide receivers in scoring this week.
21:55Yeah. If you were savvy in your late rounds and went after these players, or if you've just been working that way or wire, right.
22:03And picked them up, you're in really good hands this week.
22:06And dude, just with all the injuries, it feels almost like a bi-week.
22:10Doesn't it Seth? Where it's like, oh man, this analysis.
22:13And sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off, but doesn't all this analysis and the things we're running through.
22:19Doesn't this show feel because of all of the injuries and underperformance and everything going sideways.
22:24Doesn't this list in this show feel like a show we would be doing at like week 11, but it's only week three, Seth?
22:32A hundred percent. And my lineups feel that too, Derek.
22:35Yeah, dude. We're all feeling it. Like these players would be must starts for me in a couple of my lines.
22:41Yes. That's where I'm already at because of some of these injuries I've had to players like Puka and Neighbors and, you
22:48know, trying to just scrap together pieces. Do you feel better about starting Roma Duns or one of these guys?
22:54Do you feel better about starting Luther Burden or one of these guys?
22:59Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And like you look at this line, secondary Kirby, Joseph, Brian branch.
23:03They were cleared to practice this week. Still have a couple months on the shelf before they're even back.
23:09And Maddox is out now too. Exactly. So that that's really going to hurt them.
23:14And you look at what this secondary, even with Maddox has allowed for the number two option in receiving games the last couple weeks.
23:21Devon Vele week one, seven receptions on nine targets, 69 yards and a touchdown.
23:25And then last week, Keon Colvin, six for 63.
23:28Dude, that's where we are right now. You know what I mean?
23:32Like this lion secondary and their defense. Maybe if we can get branch and we can get Kirby Joseph back, maybe it can improve.
23:39But right now it is going to be a liability for the rest of the season.
23:44And you want to fire up your fancy football wide receivers against them.
23:48So I cannot argue at all about really any of those wide receivers and 80 Mitchell.
23:53He's been cashing tickets for me this, this season.
23:56So I'm riding with you there. And Derek, I want to ride with you on this next one because I got the Jersey in the closet.
24:04I have the card back over on the shelf somewhere as well.
24:08His rookie card. I've been all in on this guy for a long time.
24:12And suddenly it seems like maybe there's actually some fantasy value in Pittsburgh at the tight end position.
24:18You get him in your lineup, baby. He is ECR tight end 17.
24:22And I understand why, because outside of him, the Steelers offense has been a dumpster fire.
24:27It's been garbage. But like, again, going to the rankings and stuff, do you feel better starting a Pat Friermuth versus Jawan
24:34Johnson, a Colston Lovelland, a Mark Andrews, Harold Fannin, any one of these guys?
24:38We just saw what Dalton Schultz did to the Bengals defense.
24:42And we've seen them. 12 for 140. Exactly. He pulled his best Brock Bowers impression, Seth.
24:46And I'm not saying that Pat Friermuth does that this week.
24:50But the positives outside of the matchup, which we'll get to in a second, working in his favor.
24:55Remember, Michael Pittman Jr. might be back this week, but he's not going to be 100%.
25:00The foot is still not 100%. DK Metcalf is going to get shadowed by DJ Turner in this game.
25:06And in two games last year, DJ Turner owned him, held him under 50 receiving yards in both of those games.
25:13So I'm baiting Metcalf. And outside of that, who is Aaron Rodgers throwing the freaking ball to this week?
25:19I think it's going to be a lot of Pat Friermuth early and often against a defense for Cincinnati that, again, we
25:26talked about the Dalton Schultz of it all. Overall, in two games, they've given up the ninth most yards per target at
25:32the sixth most fantasy points per target. Two tight ends.
25:36You even go back into last year, year before, year before, year before.
25:40They've been bad versus tight ends for multiple seasons.
25:42And yes, this is not just the previous years over all of those years are a Lou Anarumo thing.
25:48But also the Bengals linebackers are still hot garbage.
25:51This defense is better, but that's a Dexter Lawrence takes.
25:54That's a DJ Turner take. That is not their linebacking group.
25:58So Pat Friermuth, and again, where Aaron Rodgers is at in his career right now, Seth, he can't throw the ball downfield.
26:04He has no juice on it. So he's going to pepper the short and intermediate with Pat Friermuth early, often, and everywhere this week.
26:12Michael Pittman Jr. banged up. You know, do you really want to trust Roman Wilson?
26:16No. I will say Jeremy Bernard looked good, and that was the one drive the Steelers really were cooking where Bernard had
26:23four to five catches on just one go there.
26:26But he won't be in the lineup if Michael Pittman Jr.
26:30is back this week. He won't even be playing.
26:32Yeah, it's fair. And I just think the one thing that's great about Aaron Rodgers is that he's getting Pat Friermuth involved
26:39and making sure that he's on the field. Because Pat Friermuth, dude, last couple of years has kind of been a ghost in this offense, right?
26:47That was an Arthur Smith problem. That was an Arthur Smith problem.
26:51His love of Garnell Washington. Yeah, it's true. And so I'm liking what Pat Friermuth is doing out here.
26:57Aaron, you look again, let's go back to red zone targets.
27:00And I keep bringing that stat up because those are valuable targets.
27:04Pat Friermuth is the only Steelers player with any red zone targets right now.
27:08He has two. Two. That's it. Yeah. But again, to your point, though, touchdowns are the lifeblood of tight ends.
27:15They can have on any given week. Any tight end can get 30 receiving yards, two or three catches and a touchdown.
27:21And they're probably a fringe tight end one. So I mean, look at Friermuth.
27:26I mean, just look at him right now with only a 12 percent target share.
27:30He had a touchdown and stuff. He has two reds on targets right now.
27:35Currently, Seth, he's tied in 12 and fantasy points per game.
27:38He's illustrating the point that we're making. Yeah. If you score a touchdown and in PPR leagues, you get three for 30.
27:45That's 12 points. You're probably a tight end one in most weeks, if not top 15 and a very serviceable streamer that
27:52should be ranked above tight end 17 in ECR right now.
27:55We need you, Pat. He's a Pennsylvania guy. He played out at Penn State.
28:00We got a big game against the Bengals this weekend.
28:03We need you, baby. You worked the Penn State.
28:05It's everyone. He loves Pennsylvania. Loves the state. You know what I mean?
28:09He's going to show up big. Sometimes we are not, Seth.
