Aaron Jones

NegativeInjury0:52

Analyst expresses concern about Aaron Jones' durability, stating 'I don't really want anything to do with Aaron Jones' and later 'I don't trust Aaron Jones to make it through the season.'

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:54

Analyst expresses concern about Aaron Jones' ability to stay healthy through the season, stating 'I don't trust Aaron Jones to make it through the season.'

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

NegativeProjection0:15

Jeanty came off a season with one of the worst offenses in the league (17 points per game), and while improvement is expected, there's uncertainty about how much better it will be.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:15

If both Jeanty's and Achane's offenses end up as bottom-10 units, Achane can still produce on lesser touches, whereas Jeanty's upside depends more heavily on offensive improvement.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveProjection0:04

Bijan had the fifth-highest single-game score (37.5 points) last season and is inside the top 20 with two more games, showing he's not giving up ceiling despite Gibbs' upside.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:04

Bijan may see even more touches this year with Brian Robinson brought in to replicate Tyler Algier's role, potentially increasing his workload.

Insight page

Blake Corum

NegativeRole0:52

Analyst expresses skepticism about Blake Corum's opportunity, noting that Sean Payton doesn't typically give rookie running backs significant three-down work.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeRole0:33

Breece Hall's situation with the Jets is less favorable than Josh Jacobs' role with the Packers as a three-down back.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveValue0:57

Jake targets Brian Robinson as the best handcuff option in this group, believing he's the only one who would get a full bell-cow workload if the lead back gets injured, given the weak backup depth behind him.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveDepth Chart0:39

Analyst notes uncertainty around Bucky Irving's health status, stating 'If we get really positive news, he's going to move up health-wise. If we get less and less and it seems to be iffier, we're going to talk about Gainwell later.'

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveProjection0:19

If Joe Burrow is healthy and the offense clicks, Chase Brown projects to 15-17 points per game, with upside to top-five RB status if he increases rushing touchdowns from 5-6 to 10-12.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:19

The biggest concern for Chase Brown is rushing touchdown upside; he's been left alone by the Bengals but lacks the TD volume of elite backs.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveRole0:47

Chris Rodriguez is exclusively an early-down and goal-line back in the Jaguars offense, limiting his three-down potential compared to Tootin.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeInjury0:09

McCaffrey is the riskiest of the mid-first round group due to his high touch total last year, making him the most likely not to make it through the season.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:18

McCaffrey had 9.2% slot usage, half the rate of the leading running back with at least 100 touches at 18.4%.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveProjection0:51

Analyst prefers Hubbard over other mid-seventh round options, believing he could return to being a three-down back like he was two seasons ago, with the Panthers making significant offensive line investments.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveProjection0:38

Analyst describes Swift as 'the safest one in this entire range' if you want fringe RB2 value, but notes that people don't love him because of this limited ceiling.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveValue0:14

Achane is getting too much hate and is being discounted relative to Ashton Jeanty, making him better value despite concerns about the Dolphins offense.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:17

Achane lines up as a receiver with 106 slot alignments and 42 outside alignments last season, making him a truly dynamic pass catcher comparable to CMC and Bijan Robinson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:18

Achane has legitimate overall RB1 upside and could have a CMC-type season with the amount of times he can catch the ball, despite the team and coaching changes.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:18

Achane lines up in the slot 18.4% of the time, the highest rate of any running back with at least 100 touches, compared to Christian McCaffrey's 9.2%.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeInjury0:52

Analyst notes that while Dobbins is better than RJ Harvey, Dobbins hasn't been healthy for entire seasons, making Harvey a more reliable option despite the signing.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveProjection0:45

Analyst projects Price for 240-250 touches and compares him to Raheem Mostert, believing he has significant upside in the Jaguars' rushing-heavy offense with his gap-hitting ability and speed.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:47

Price is the only back in the Jaguars backfield who could theoretically be a three-down back, with demonstrated red zone efficiency and goal-line trust from offensive coordinator Liam Cohen.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:48

Price had 23 red zone attempts as a rookie backup, converting 4 into touchdowns (all inside the 5-yard line) with a conversion rate more impressive than Travis Etienne, plus 2 red zone receptions for 4 touchdowns.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveProjection0:07

Despite touchdown regression (4 rushing TDs down), Cook ran 100 more times for 600 more yards and improved his yards per carry, yet the industry remains unfairly afraid of him.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:08

Cook doesn't need to catch a ton of passes because the Bills offense gives him plenty of rushing touchdown upside, and he hasn't even reached 1,000 career touches yet.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeRole0:25

Jeremiah Love's workload is uncertain as a rookie on one of the worst teams in the league, with Tyler Algier and other backs (Benson, Connor) still on the roster.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:25

Jeremiah Love is unlikely to have an Asante Genti-like rookie season despite being a fourth overall pick, given the Cardinals' depth at running back.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeRole0:57

Jake doesn't believe Coleman will get the full workload if the lead back gets injured.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveProjection0:09

Taylor had 20 total touchdowns with 17 occurring before the bye week in week 11, showing elite early-season production when the Colts' offense was functioning optimally.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup0:10

Taylor had excellent games against Denver and LA Chargers earlier in the season, proving he can push through terrible matchups.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:11

With Daniel Jones healthy and a better-distributed schedule in 2025, Taylor could see an increase in touchdowns if the Colts become more cautious with Jones' running capabilities.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:11

Taylor averaged 30 points per game in wins but only 10 points in losses, and the Colts are projected for just 7.5 wins, creating significant variance risk.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveBreakout0:55

If healthy and performing like he did coming out of college, Brooks would take the Jaguars job without an injury, offering significant upside in the mid-round range.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:55

Jake likes Brooks as an upside chance, believing if he's healthy and performs like he did in college, he could take the job without needing an injury to the starter.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:55

Tara also targets Brooks, noting that if he stays healthy, he could earn the lead back job in a Panthers offense where no one's role is guaranteed.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveRole0:33

Josh Jacobs is the Packers' three-down back and was top-10 in points per game last year despite poor rushing efficiency, making him safer than Kyron Williams or Breece Hall.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:35

Josh Jacobs' situation carries off-field concerns, but analysts recommend ranking him as-is unless something develops in the next month.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveRole0:56

Jake likes Mitchell as a flex option, though he doesn't believe Mitchell would get the full workload if the lead back gets injured.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveValue0:54

Analyst is a multi-year Gainwell truther, preferring him over Aaron Jones and Rashad White in the mid-ninth round due to his consistent role and reliability.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveRole0:25

Kenneth Walker's workload with the Chiefs is uncertain; the team has historically shared passing game work among lead backs despite his new contract.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:28

Kenneth Walker is the safer bet over Jeremiah Love due to the better Chiefs offense, though both carry volume uncertainty.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper0:30

Kenneth Walker is hoped to be unlocked as a three-down back out of Seattle with Patrick Mahomes, offering wide-open lanes and touchdown opportunities.

Insight page

Kyle Monangai

PositiveSleeper0:52

Monongai is identified as a high-end handcuff with league-winning upside if DeAndre Swift goes down, offering significant ceiling in the early eighth round.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveValue0:34

Kyron Williams is getting too much hate; even with Blake Corum at 40% of the work (vs. 39% last year), he remains a top-tier back in one of the best offenses.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:35

Kyron Williams will maintain elite production in a 60-40 split with Blake Corum in one of the best offenses, with the only downside being Matthew Stafford injury.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveSleeper0:36

Marshawn Lloyd is being undervalued as a handcuff; the Packers have made clear he'd be the next man up if healthy, and he had one game without a rushing TD before his week 11 injury.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveSleeper0:23

Omarion Hampton is very likable with an easy case for upside, sometimes sliding into round three, though Saquon Barkley provides more safety.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole0:39

When both were healthy at the end of the season, Stevenson was the lead back over Henderson, and was even better than Henderson on a per-touch basis in the passing game.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveValue0:51

Analyst now wants Harvey in the early eighth round after he fell further in drafts due to JK Dobbins signing, noting that while Dobbins is better, Dobbins hasn't been healthy for entire seasons.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveProjection0:21

Saquon Barkley can be the overall RB1 in this tier and is positioned well in mid-round two after being higher than consensus all offseason.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:21

The Eagles will lean heavily on Saquon Barkley as a three-down back because that was the magic sauce that won them a Super Bowl, and new OC Sean Mannion from Green Bay will maintain that reliance.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:22

Saquon Barkley's lack of extreme upside in 2025 is not a major concern given his 340+ carries and postseason workload in 2024, which typically leads to regression.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

NegativeRole0:56

Jake doesn't think Bigsby will get a full workload because he's not a big pass catcher and will share more carries than people might assume.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:57

Tara prefers Tank Bigsby as the highest upside handcuff option, targeting him as the backup in the Ravens' run-heavy offense with goal-line touchdown upside.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

PositiveProjection0:50

Analyst notes Pollard was garbage in losses (7 losses vs 17 wins last season) but could be an RB2 top-20 if Brian Dable helps the Titans offense as coordinator, though there are many 'maybes' with the middle-pack offense.

Insight page

Trayvon Henderson

PositiveRole0:39

At the end of the season, Henderson was in a backup role similar to Warren behind Najee Harris with the Steelers, though there is emerging talk about his prospect pedigree and explosiveness.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:40

If the split goes 60-40 in Henderson's favor over Ramondre Stevenson, analyst believes Henderson could hit the top 15 in the Patriots offense.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveRole0:55

Woody Marks is mentioned as part of the 11th-12th round running back collection but receives no specific analysis in the lightning round segment.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury0:44

Analyst is skeptical of aggressive timelines for Charbonnet's return, noting the average timeline points to November and expressing concern that nine out of ten times getting out aggressively leads to re-injury or diminished performance.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:55

Jake has already made his case that Charbonnet is in a timeshare at best, limiting his upside.

0:11What running back to take? Well, we have got Tara Roberts and Jake Seeley here that are going to be answering those questions.
0:17Because there's some difficult ones. Maybe, you know, the very tippy top isn't that.
0:21But whether it's a two running back decision, three RBs, who to take, we've got the answers for you with the toughest of tough questions.
0:28Mr. Jake Seeley, are running backs really that tough for you this year?
0:31Or do you feel just clarity across the board and wherever you're going to take them, even if it's going to be in the later rounds?
0:38I think there's a clarity in the fact that I feel more set about my tears than I ever have over, so
0:45if you look at the athletic too, with like projections and everything, there's like more clear cutoffs.
0:49And it's not just, oh, the next drop off running back is 20 points behind.
0:53It's like, the next running back starts this collection of messy backfields.
0:57Or the next collection starts a rookie with competition alongside of them.
1:00Like, it's just, there's a very segmented group. So I don't think we necessarily have, you have to get a running back around one or two of those.
1:08Like that's not the be all end all. But I think coming out of the first three rounds with at least one.
1:14So when you get to the fourth, fifth, sixth round, we've called the dead zone, whatever it might be.
1:19You can kind of say, you know what? I don't have to force myself for a running back.
1:24I can take the value at wide receiver and have four wide receivers or take one of the early tight ends because
1:30you're not chasing at that point where I think a lot of teams are going to be coming out of drafts with
1:36two running backs in the fourth to sixth rounds and kind of be feeling frustrated in the end anyway.
1:42Yeah, Tara, this experiment that we're going to get into where, you know, it's literally going to be, we're going to look
1:48at the variation of around the running backs that exist in there.
1:51And then we are going to have a, who would you rather?
1:54That's what this is going to look like in doing this experiment.
1:58Did you find any that surprised you or any surprise revelations that came from having these discussions of running backs?
2:03Yeah, I did have one. I always love doing this stuff because it really allows you to, you know, bump players up
2:09together and really think about and say, Hey, wait, maybe I should adjust my rankings on this.
2:14So yeah, I'm, I'm with Jake. This is a, this is fun format.
2:18Running backs are, they're fun and a little bit more clear this season, a lot more clear than last season.
2:23I'll say that. Well, if you guys want to check out whether it's ranks or ADP, make sure you go to fantasy
2:29pro, you can fantasypros.com slash ADP fantasypros.com slash NFL slash rankings.
2:32You can check out that you can switch between the tabs.
2:35You can kind of see the guys that we're talking about.
2:38Obviously the, we're using the overall ranks and the ADPs over on fantasy pros to kind of dictate where these players are.
2:44So of course there can be a variation to their values or what sites are going on, but just follow us.
2:50So let's just dive right into this, the tough running back decisions that you have got to make this year.
2:56And of course, number one is at the very tippy top.
2:59It's literally number one because yes, you could take the wide receiver, but as our dear friend Pat Fitzmaurice here at fantasy
3:05pros has mentioned, like he's making the decision between one of the two running backs.
3:09So he is number one overall B John Robinson, but is enough of a discussion to say that there's a debate with
3:15Jameer Gibbs, who is number two, who would you rather the RB one, the RB two.
3:20Is there any variation? Jake kick us off here.
3:22This is this a, even a tough running back decision, despite it being potentially the number one overall pick.
3:27I actually think it is a tough land, the point where I'm not going to say, if you want to take Gibbs, you're crazy.
3:34Like I have, this is, so we'll talk about the tiers.
3:37I have two in tier one. That's it. Robinson and Gibbs.
3:40Those are the two elites. Those are the two that if I'm picking one or two, then I would really think about either of these guys.
3:47And maybe I try to differentiate, but if I'm the one-on-one is my only shot at the one-on-one, it's the slightest of margins.
3:54I talked about another show with Fitz funny enough is I would go Robinson.
3:57Mostly I see the higher ceiling for Gibbs. I do think the highest ceiling is with Gibbs.
4:02Actually, he has some of the games. Like if you want to come out of it and be like, ha ha, I kicked my opponent's teeth in.
4:10That's Gibbs. I mean, he scored almost 50 points last season in one of those games, but there was plenty of 20
4:16and 30 point games from Bijan as well. And I think if you look at the two of them, I see a
4:22slightly higher floor for Bijan, a slightly higher ceiling for Gibbs, but we're nitpicking here.
4:26But again, if you want to look at it, Bijan had what?
4:2937.5 or 37.4 is fifth highest in the season.
4:32He's also inside the top 20 with two more games.
4:35So it's not like you're giving up an enormous ceiling.
4:37But I think people getting caught up in the, well, Gibbs is going to catch a ton of passes, catch a ton of passes.
4:44What did Bijan just do? It's not like he's giving up that role to Brian Robinson.
4:48Brian Robinson was brought in to replicate what Tyler Algier was doing.
4:52And honestly, I think it might even be a slight downgrade for them.
4:55I know people talk up Brian Robinson a lot and I love him as a player and his, you know, this drive.
5:01But I actually think there's a possibility where Bijan sees even more touches this year.
5:06Yeah, there is this really interesting thing too. You were kind of mentioning that both of these backs have these attached secondary
5:12backs to them that put in the question. It was Algier.
5:15It was Dave Montgomery. It's like, you know, could there and what do they take away?
5:19Both of those guys go. They find replacements. And I think it kind of just throws to us the potential upside for both of these players.
5:26I don't know how big the gaps truly are, Tara, for you.
5:30If you feel that it is clearly Bijan, clearly Gibbs, or it is a tight-knit race, as Jake mentioned.
5:35But what say you on this tough RB1 or overall pick at number one?
5:39Yeah, I'm with Jake. I think it's extremely close because I don't think we're going to see the boost in receptions, but
5:45we will see a little boost in carries. The difference between carries for Bijan and Gibbs really was kind of negligible last year.
5:51Gibbs saw just a little over two and a half carries less than Gibbs.
5:55Gibbs, there's just around two and a half carries less than Gibbs per game last season or than Bijan last season.
6:01So I don't think it's that big of a difference.
6:04Plus, I think we're underselling the exit of Zach Robinson and the arrival of Kevin Stefanski for all his issues.
6:09He has been very generous in terms of ensuring that backs don't have issues with being three down backs.
6:14So I don't even know if we're going to see that Tyler Algier work directly transition to Bijan Robinson anyway.
6:20I mean, if anything, we could have an increase in goal line opportunities here for Bijan now that Zach Robinson is out of the picture.
6:27All right. So we move from the 1-1 to the mid first, where I think there are some more discussions because we've
6:33got three backs that we're going to be throwing into this one.
6:36So from the seventh overall spot, RB3, Christian McCaffrey.
6:39We've got Jonathan Taylor. And then we've also got James Cook.
6:42So we've got three running backs in here. RB3, RB4, RB5.
6:45Obviously, from a 7 overall to an 11 overall, there's a little bit of that like, well, if I have a mid first round pick, dot, dot, dot.
6:53But if we are looking, what is the choice on the tough decision at RB in the mid to late first round?
6:59Jake, we will drop it to you. McCaffrey, James Cook or Jonathan Taylor?
7:02Yeah, I'm going to go with James Cook. I'll save something for after Tara in case she brings it up because I
7:08kind of come for her pick in a degree unless she backs it up for a different way.
7:13But I'll save that. I'll save that little nugget.
7:16This is why you have to stay through the entire podcast, at least the beginning part.
7:20But I look at James Cook and it really comes down to this is another tier.
7:25Like I have Cook, Taylor. Other running backs are in this tier as well that we're not even mentioning so far.
7:31We're going to mention some of them later in the show.
7:34But there's a big group here where I'm not going to be like, oh, my God, you're crazy to take Jonathan Taylor
7:40or you're crazy to take Saquon Barkley or whatever it might be.
7:43But I look at James Cook and everybody went into last year and I say everybody, the entire industry went into last year saying, let's be hesitant.
7:50Let's worry about that touchdown total. You know, the regression is coming.
7:54And it came. It was four rushing touchdowns regression.
7:56And oh, what did he do to offset that?
7:59Only ran 100 more times for 600 more yards.
8:01Like he actually improved his yards per carry with 100 more carries.
8:05And everybody's still afraid of James Cook. The dude doesn't even have a thousand touches to his career yet.
8:10Like, let's chill out. Like, it's not all of a sudden he's going to be like, oh, my God, it's Christian McCaffrey.
8:16And he's in one of the best offenses that still gives him plenty of rushing touchdown upside.
8:21I get it. He doesn't catch a ton of passes, but he doesn't need to be that because of what this offense is for him.
8:28And that's what's going to continue to be. So tying myself to the bills, tying myself to James Cook to repeat again
8:34is why I would take James Cook. Although, like I said, I'm not going to sit here and go like, oh, my
8:40God, I can't believe Tara picked Jonathan Taylor. There's just one little nugget that really worries me about him.
8:45And I want to see if she's going to bring it up first.
8:49So we don't have Christian McCaffrey. Very sad. Neither of you are going to pick McCaffrey.
8:53And as Jake just said, Tara, you are going with Jonathan Taylor on this.
8:57So talk to us about Taylor over McCaffrey and James Cook.
9:00I am. JT is my boy here. I like that we both went the avoid Christian McCaffrey route there because he is
9:06the riskiest of this little group here, unfortunately. For all the upside that he has, he definitely has the highest upside to everybody.
9:12But unfortunately, apples to apples, the one most likely not to make it through the season because of the touches last year.
9:18It is CMC, unfortunately, there. I like James Cook.
9:21I am mildly concerned, like what happens with that giant rushing upside.
9:24Like you mentioned, 100 carries added last season. Not a lot, right?
9:28300 is not a massive workload, but it is a little bit more wear and tear than his body's used to.
9:33But he's been very reliable, so I'm not downgrading him for that.
9:37But when it comes to JT, when I look at the Colts and what happened last year, the beginning of the season
9:43was basically easy mode for JT managers. He had 20 total touchdowns.
9:4617 of them happened before the bye week in week 11.
9:49But we know there were two issues. We know why it happened.
9:53One, the Daniel Jones injury. He was not perfect, right?
9:55But he was a massive improvement compared to the previous quarterbacks.
9:58So even coming off of the injury, he's just so much farther an upgrade compared to what they previously had.
10:04Greatly looking forward to him being back and riding the ship on this offense.
10:08And again, I didn't expect him to be perfect, right?
10:11But what really happened there is once he got that unfortunate injury, his ability to get the ball vertical and things just
10:17kind of dipped a little bit there. And then obviously, once he exited completely, major issue there.
10:21And the Colts 2025 schedule was unfortunately kind of backloaded with terrible matchups.
10:25Again, JT can push through terrible matchups. He had excellent games against Denver earlier in the season and the LA Chargers earlier in the season.
10:32But back to back to back, it just kind of created this whole lopsided issue where the first half of the season
10:38was wonderful and the back half of the season was a total disaster.
10:42We weren't going to have that issue this season, thankfully, because the schedule is a lot better, much more spread out.
10:47So we're not going to run into that backseason backlog where he just dies in the fantasy playoffs for us there.
10:53But again, here, Daniel Jones being ready to start the season is the big thing here.
10:58Again, the schedule here, a lot of the tough matchups spread out very evenly.
11:01So I'm still looking for I know it's a lot of touchdowns right there for him, but I'm still looking for perhaps
11:08maybe even a little increase there if they want to be a little bit more cautious in terms of the running capabilities with Daniel Jones.
11:14As long as he's still mobile, maybe it takes maybe a few weeks for him to really get back up to speed and feel comfortable on that leg.
11:22But once he's good to go, feel really good about this offense kind of repeating the trends that it had last year.
11:28All right, Jake, I was watching you sitting in your seat.
11:31I was seeing you move around a little bit, twirl a little bit.
11:35Did she cover what you wanted to go at or are you going at Tara?
11:39She dipped her toe into the pool there for where it was, and it really comes down to Daniel Jones.
11:45And I'll say that here's how I present it for overarching kind of thought here is if the Colts went 17 and
11:510 this year, Jonathan Taylor is better than LaDainian Thomason.
11:53And here's what I was going to point out.
11:56This is why he averaged 30 points per game in wins, 30.
11:59He averaged 10 in losses. And as Tara dipped her toe and said, like a lot of that came after the injury to Daniel Jones.
12:06That's the only reason that I'm kind of like, I mean, this is a team that's projected seven and a half wins.
12:12And I know that Vegas isn't perfect, but like if I'm looking at a team and that kind of description, if we're talking, it was 25 and 15.
12:20That's a little bit close, but 30 and 10 for wins versus losses.
12:24Like, I know we chased that. It's not a perfect stat, but that's just enough for me to be like in this tier.
12:30I would actually take Christian McCaffrey. I would go Christian McCaffrey, James Cook and Jonathan Taylor after both of them.
12:36But it's such let's not dismiss the point that Tara brought up, which I completely agree with.
12:40It's such a slim origin. Like, like we're not going to be like, you're stupid if you want to take Jonathan Taylor.
12:46And that's what the first and mid first round are.
12:49It's it's small margins about really great players. Not so much as we are going to be moving through here.
12:55We got more running backs, but we have got some giveaways for you.
12:58In fact, we have two giveaways. If you want a chance to win a $50 fantasy pro shop code or a one

13:27All right, we are going into the one to turn and we've got a two running back battle here.
13:32I'm actually a little bit surprised by both of the decisions here you guys made.
13:36So this is going to be very cool. I guess I'm kind of going to spoil it because this is Ashton Jeanty
13:42who is RB6 versus Devon Achan who is RB7.
13:45I think if you're looking at the top two rounds, you guys are having fun discussions about the first round, small margins and whatever.
13:51But I'm not sure there is a more polarizing name right now than Devon Achan because of that offense.
13:57And I guess Jenty isn't that much less either.
13:59Both of these guys are kind of polarizing type of names.
14:02But we know that Devon Achan is very talented, but there's just a whole context of the team built around.
14:08And both of you, this is why I'm spoiling it.
14:10Both of you have picked Achan unanimously over Jenty.
14:13So, Jake, kick us off here. Was this even a tough decision, I guess, is the thing that I want to know from you.
14:20So, not so much for me. This is one where I have a little bit bigger of a gap.
14:25And it feels like – and I was actually surprised to see Terry on the same page as me because I feel
14:31like I've been on an island, so to speak, with Achan, which feels weird because it's Achan.
14:36But I just feel like he's getting too much hate at this point.
14:39And I know a lot of people are talking about the team and the scheme change.
14:44And it is Bobby Slovic. But Slovic runs very much a Shanahan offense.
14:47You know this. And no, it is not Kyle Shanahan.
14:50I'm not saying he is. I'm just saying of the usage of his running back.
14:54And people are like, well, Malik Willis won't throw to the running back as much as Tua did.
14:59To go back to the argument earlier for the Tua being in Atlanta, one of the highest rates of throwing to running backs.
15:06And I know things change with certain teams and offensive styles and all that type of stuff.
15:10But I'm not super overly concerned with Achan's touches.
15:13And so the biggest argument people are pushing back with is the Dolphins will be one of the worst teams in the league.
15:19We all know that. Ashton Gentry just came off being one of the worst offenses in the league.
15:2417 in points per game. We're all expecting it to be better.
15:27It's going to be better. How can it not be?
15:30But at the same time, if both of these offenses are bottom 10 offenses, at least I know Achan can do it on lesser touches.
15:37And maybe that completely goes sideways and this offense goes belly up.
15:40And Achan can't even do anything. And all of a sudden, he's only getting 40 targets.
15:45I just think there's a lot of ifs. Like, it's all the ifs seem to be pointing positive for everybody in Gentry.
15:51And all the ifs tend to be pointing Achan negative.
15:54And in that case, I'm going to take Achan mostly because the discount is there versus Gentry.
15:58So I've already spoiled that Tara picked Achan. Let me turn this just slightly to you, Tara.
16:03As you give your answer and you can talk about the gap.
16:06I know this isn't an option for this. But does this have the feel a little bit of like, yes, Achan, but neither?
16:13Like when this is a tough decision, is there a little bit of neither one of these guys are really?
16:18Or are you a much more pro Achan than I'm obviously giving you credit for?
16:22I'm severely pro Achan. Jake, you might have met your match there.
16:26I've been doing the same thing all offseason of defending this man.
16:29Come up with a whole spiel in terms of his defense.
16:32So, yes, it's not close for me. Although I don't dislike Gentry because, again, you know, we know the offensive line is improving.
16:39We're definitely going to quarterback approval here. So I'm not massively concerned.
16:42Kirk Cousins can check down. It's not an issue there.
16:45So no offense to Gentry whatsoever. But when I look at Achan, I see the wide receiver one of an offense, right?
16:51And I understand the concerns that people have in terms of Malik Willis checking down.
16:55Because objectively, we have not seen it. We wouldn't have seen it in Tennessee because that's Derek Henry.
17:00And we wouldn't have seen it really in Green Bay because they're very inconsistent about checkdowns.
17:04Anyway, they prefer a three down back and relying really on the early down work for the running back.
17:10So not the same kind of situation there. But Jake also touched on it in terms of Bobby Sloick saying that's the key there.
17:16If we were running into a new situation here, yeah, we could be a little bit more apprehensive.
17:21But we know Bobby Sloick was in charge of the pass game of this offense last season.
17:26So this internal promotion, the connection to Kyle Shanahan here, we know what's going on.
17:30And to defend him as well, I think he unjustly got blamed for what happened in Houston with C.J.
17:35Stroud. History has shown that is all C.J. Stroud, unfortunately.
17:38So I'm not worried here. And the main thing is that, yeah, I could be concerned about the checkdowns if that's what we're relying on.
17:45But we're not relying on the checkdowns here. A-chan lines up as a receiver.
17:49If you look at the amount of times that he lined up on the slot and outside, 106 times last season, 42 times in the slot.
17:56106 was in the slot. 42 was on the outside.
17:59For comparison, CMC lined up in the slot 93 times, 21 out wide.
18:02B. John Robinson, 98 times in the slot, 59 out wide.
18:05These are truly dynamic pass catchers. You don't rely on checkdowns in the whim of a quarterback to get the ball to them.
18:12You put it into your offense and design it.
18:14We've got the guy that designed it last season.
18:17So, no, I'm not concerned. I understand that people are sad that Mike McDaniel is gone.
18:21But to be fair, the team's been bad, right?
18:24And A-chan has been fantastic through the team in the tough times and the good times as well.
18:29So, realistically, I think this is going to potentially be a CMC type of season for him with the amount of times
18:35that he can catch the ball this season. So, it's risky, 100%.
18:38It's not a layup or a guarantee, but it's a legitimate overall RB1 upside that I'm willing to take the risk on.
18:44The pro A-chan podcast. I was not aware we were going to have that.
18:48Do you want the percentage, by the way, for all those numbers that you threw out there?
18:53The percentage, by the way, A-chan, 18.4% of the time in the slot.
18:56Number one of any running back to have at least 100 touches.
19:00Christian McCaffrey, 9.2. Half of that for your argument there to add to it.
19:04It's beautiful. Very interesting. All right. We go from the one-two turn to the mid-second round.
19:08We are going to have a three running back battle here.
19:11This is RB8, 9, and 10. We've got Chase Brown, Saquon Barkley, and the very popular Omarion Hampton.
19:16So, mid-second round, Jake, Chase Brown, Barkley, Hampton. Who's your pick?
19:19I like all of them. This is why I kind of prefer to wait a little bit, maybe take a wide receiver,
19:25because these are in the same tier of people that we're talking about so far.
19:29And I would take Chase Brown. I feel like that if you look at Brown, we kind of did this last year.
19:35We're like, hey, we hope that the Bengals leave him alone.
19:38And they pretty much did. And, you know, we saw somewhat of a share coming in.
19:43And he was Chase Brown. He was basically what we ever wanted, even when things were going bad.
19:48And things were bad, and it wasn't as good as it could be for, like, a top-five running back.
19:53But he's still producing. The biggest worry and concern for Chase Brown is the rushing touchdowns.
19:57And, again, he's pretty much been left alone this year.
20:00You worry about Piran and the rest. I'm not Taj Brooks, whatever it might be.
20:04Anyway, Chase Brown is going to get his workload again.
20:07If Joe Burrow is healthy and this offense clicks like it has been, you're talking about somebody that pushes the upper teens,
20:13the upper, like 15, 16, 17 points per game.
20:16Again, the only concern being the rushing touchdowns. And I'm not saying this as just, like, it's going to sound throwaway, like there's no basis for it.
20:23But we talk about touchdown variants. We talk about James Cook.
20:26And I know that the Bengals do pass a lot when they're inside the red zone.
20:31But what if he even doubles, like just goes from 5 to 10, 6 to 12?
20:35Like, what if he gets in that 10 to 12 range for rushing touchdowns?
20:39Chase Brown will be in the conversation for the top five, just like James Cook.
20:43And that's really what it comes down to. I like all of them.
20:47But if I'm chasing somebody who I think has the biggest ceiling to get through by just one small thing changing, like
20:53I'm not asking for more in the passing game.
20:55I'm not asking for more of this, more of that, more of whatever.
20:59I'm just asking a little bit more touchdown upside.
21:01And all of a sudden we're talking about top five running back.
21:05Are the RB decisions getting tougher? Tara, you've got three.
21:08We got Chase Brown, Saquon Barkley, O'Marrion Hampton. Brown has been picked.
21:11How tough is this? Where are you going? No, this one's not tough.
21:14Honestly, you know, again, this is a good range.
21:17Like Jake was saying, you can start off with wide receiver and then turn around and get any one of these guys.
21:23You can't go wrong. I lean towards Saquon Barkley on this one just because of the guys in this group.
21:29And this is the one that I know for a fact can be the overall RB1.
21:33You know, and it's good because we've actually I've been higher than consensus on him all offseason.
21:38And finally, he's starting to push back into a more appropriate category.
21:41I thought that we were going to end up getting him in like round three.
21:45So this nice mid round two is a nice little happy medium for him because there is inherent risk, obviously, with, you
21:51know, the Philadelphia offense and all the changes that it's going through.
21:55But I don't think that's necessarily bad for Saquon Barkley.
21:57You can be maybe a little apprehensive of the pass game if you've got issues with Jalen Hurts.
22:02I'm not I'm not overly concerned, but if there are concerns about helping this pass game get along and acclimate into its
22:08new identity with a new head coach as well.
22:11They're going to lean on Saquon Barkley because that is what won them a Super Bowl.
22:15Leaning on Saquon Barkley was the magic sauce here.
22:18And I don't think they tried to get away from him last season.
22:21There was just obviously overall issues with the Eagles offense.
22:24They've again, unfortunately, they tend to go through this issue of losing your offensive coordinators, having to replace and they replaced with the wrong option last season.
22:32So that had a major effect. On top of that, he was coming off of the dumbest workload possible in terms of
22:38what he had to do in 2024. Over 340 carries plus all of the postseason work.
22:42I mean, it was over 2000 yards. It was ridiculous.
22:45So, you know, unfortunately, that does often come with regression in the next season.
22:49So his lack of extreme upside in 2025, if not, is not an overly major concern.
22:53I love him for a bounce back this season.
22:56Leaning aggressively on him in terms of getting those carries back up, better efficiency as they continue to retool the offense.
23:02And then, of course, the touchdowns as well. And I'm actually excited to see Sean Mannion coming from Green Bay.
23:07Obviously, when we're looking at what Green Bay does, again, we talked about it earlier with Ajan.
23:12In terms of Green Bay's system not going to Miami, Green Bay's system, for the most part, there's going to be differences, right?
23:18We're heading over to Philadelphia here. And I think what we'll carry over is the reliance on the running back in a traditional three-down fashion there.
23:25So we're going to get Saquon back on track here.
23:28Tell you, this is a tough range. I think they're all very likable because I think there's an easy case for a Marion Hampton in this as well.
23:36I really love him on the back half of this.
23:39Sometimes he even slides into like a third round like McDaniel.
23:42And there's so much to like about Hampton. But there is a safety net, I think, that you get provided in Barkley.
23:48There's an offensive upside in what Chase Brown can be.
23:51And Hampton maybe sits on the lower tiers. But I don't think that would have been an incorrect answer if we had gone to Marion Hampton.
23:58I think they're all good. I agree. Yeah, they are.
24:00Now, the next group, we're going to go to the 2-3 turn.
24:04This is a weird group. Now we're going to get into like weird groupings of players because not one player is really like the other.
24:11We've got Derek Henry at RB11. We've got Ken Walker at 12.
24:14And we've got the 13th RB, Jeremiah Love. So have fun with this.
24:18This is a weird group. Maybe it's going to be super easy because I think there's like one kind of defining name in this.
24:24But from RB11, 12, and 13, it's a very eclectic group.
24:27Jake, where are you going? Are you going to play an upside play?
24:31Are you going to go with a new offensive skein upside?
24:34Or is this going to go with what we know in Derek Henry?
24:38Well, if things go wrong in that branch that Tara and I are on for A-chan breaks and it's going to hit
24:44dead Derek Henry on the way down. Because I'm on this until he's dead at this point.
24:48I understand everybody's concerned that, oh, it's going to get to Derek Henry.
24:52It's going to get to Derek Henry. He had a decrease in rushing efficiency last year.
24:56The guy still averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 300 carries.
24:59It was a decrease by Derek Henry's standards. Let's be honest.
25:02And he still ran for 16 touchdowns. Which, by the way, involved an offense that didn't really have 100% Lamar Jackson for most of the season.
25:10Let's make that clear, too. And if you look at what's behind Derek Henry, yeah, somebody will be involved possibly in the
25:16passing game because he's never going to be that guy.
25:19But he doesn't need to be. He's proven that for his entire career.
25:22Does he get back to 18 to 20 points per game?
25:25Probably not. But as a back-end RB1 in this group, Kenneth Walker, we're hoping he gets the workload for the Chiefs.
25:31But time and again, we've seen the Chiefs, whether it's De Mercado or Aramut Johnson, whoever it was, their lead option shares the passing game work.
25:38We're hoping that contract tells us otherwise. But we're hoping.
25:41Jeremiah Love, we're hoping he gets all that work despite the fact that they signed Tyler Algier and still have one of
25:47the bodies of Benson and Connor left hanging around with either of them getting on the field.
25:52What's his workload going to look like as a rookie?
25:55He's on one of the worst teams in the league.
25:57Does he have a genti-like rookie season? I just think the answer is take what you know and that Derek Henry is
26:03going to be the beast he's always been. His drop-off is the ceiling for a ton of other running backs.
26:09Still had almost 16.5 points per game last year.
26:11Again, with an offense that was kind of dysfunctional by Raven standards that Doyle's coming in and everybody's talking positively.
26:17I know he didn't call the plays, but everybody even from the team that he was just with, with the Bears, were
26:23talking about how good he was and how great the next mind is.
26:27And this is another one. If you don't want to believe that and say that's all speculation, that's fine.
26:32But it's frustrating when you watch people who are like, well, this is a great mind that's going from play caller to offensive coordinator or blah, blah, blah.
26:40And we do that in certain situations, but then we talk against it the other side.
26:44Like this is one of the ones where it just feels like everybody's like, eh, you know what?
26:49I'm kind of done with the Ravens. And I take that as our advantage.
26:53You know, the one thing that's sticking in my brain that you mentioned is like, if you had to also, Terry, maybe you can answer this.
27:00If you have to answer the question when we're not talking about Derek Henry of what do you trust more?
27:06Do you trust the chiefs go against what they've done in the past because of the contract?
27:10And they have having a real running back and Ken Walker and him getting the volume.
27:15Or do you trust the equity of what the Cardinals spent in Jeremiah Love despite having all these running backs?
27:20Which running back do you think is a better bet if you're going to bet on them having the volume play?
27:26Is it the contract and chiefs offense or is it the number four overall pick with the Cardinals and Love's talent?

28:40No spin. No judgments. Just the facts straight from the experts for more than 140 beverage ingredients.
28:45Visit goodtoknowfacts.org. I think I would still lean towards Kenneth Walker on that one.
28:49Again, you know, better offense. I think that's what it would come down to.
28:52Because, you know, like Jake was saying, we're hoping that there's this ashen-genti type of season.
28:57But at the same time, are we really? Because overall-wise, yeah, that was cool.
29:01But there were times where it was very inconsistent in terms of you having a great week because the receptions are there.
29:07And he does manage to crack some yardage. And then there were the dreadful weeks where you were looking at 20 yards there.
29:13So we're looking for an ashen-genti season, but an upgraded version perhaps.
29:17Because Jacoby Brissett can throw the ball. But at the same time, it's just a risk, right?
29:21Which is why we're getting the discount. We're not drafting him up there at egregious levels.
29:26But at the same time, probably going with the safer Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City offense where you know what you're at least getting as a baseline there.
29:33Yeah. But your answer, though, is not Ken Walker.
29:36You are joining the Derrick Henry. No. Yeah, I am.
29:39I am. And this was actually the one that I debated for a long time because this was the one that made me actually adjust my rankings.
29:46Because I went in and I'm looking at the picks here.
29:49And I'm like, oh, of course, Derrick Henry. And then I like to bump it up to my rankings just to make
29:55sure I'm not being a hypocrite there. And I was like, oh, wait a second.
29:59I am being a hypocrite. Whoops. That doesn't make sense.
30:02So I thought about it. And I'm like, OK.
30:05It's kind of like what Jake was saying. I felt like he was in my head, which is a good thing because
30:11if I'm in his head and he's in my head and he's very smart, that must mean that I'm smart by proxy.
30:17So that's wonderful. But I feel like we're just like hoping, you know, for the optimism of Kenneth Walker being unlocked because he's out of Seattle.
30:24We'll get him being a three down back. And, you know, everything's going to be opened up with a prolific quarterback of Patrick Mahomes.
30:31So there's just going to be these wide open lanes, big yardage, touchdown opportunities here.
30:35Great. But we know what's going to happen with Derrick Henry, even by, as Jake was mentioning, by last year's standards.
30:41I mean, still, the man averaged over five yards per carry, and that was in a defunct offense for the vast majority of the season.
30:48There's no mystery there. As long as the Ravens offense is operating at remotely inoptable level, you're getting 15 touchdowns because they're,
30:54you know, obviously they're protecting Lamar Jackson. They don't run him at the goal line.
30:58So the offense moves. There's a guarantee. It just needs to be a competitive game here.
31:02So it's just the safer option there. You know what you're getting.
31:06I want to root for the upside of Kenneth Walker, right?
31:09But apples to apples, I'm going to go with the safest, most reliable known upside here.
31:13If you feel you have Jake in your head, please seek medical attention.
31:17That's happened to me once. I went through, I went through a whole thing getting Jake out of my head.

33:17We've got RB's 14, 15, and 16. So we've got another battle of threes.
33:21We've got Kyron Williams who comes in at RB 14, according to Fantasy Pros.
33:24Brees Hall at 15. And Josh Jacobs at 16.
33:27There are questions. Lots of questions. Specifically around Mr.
33:291 Josh Jacobs. And you two apparently seem to have your answers.
33:33Because this is another one I'm spoiling because you guys have decided to go in together in on this.
33:38Josh Jacobs is your answer over Kyron Williams with Blake Corum looming.
33:41Over Brees Hall. Jets. So talk to us about why Josh Jacobs' situation is less scary than either one of those, Jake.
33:47Because what Tara said earlier in the show is that three down back and Josh Jacobs is their three down back.
33:53Even as bad as it was in the run department last year, didn't have 1,000 rushing yards.
33:58He was top 10 points per game ahead of Kyron Williams.
34:01Not by far. And I'm actually going to kind of take your question and leave more on the plate for Tara.
34:07Because if it turns out to be an all-field situation that does continue – I know it is, I'm saying, one that continues into the season.
34:14That's what I was alluding to. Yeah. Yeah. It's a very concerning one, so let's make that clear.
34:19I'm not trying to dismiss that or whatever. But if it does affect his season, then I would go Kyron.
34:25And I wanted to talk a little bit about him because if this situation does play out that way, Kyron Williams, it
34:31seems to me – this is another one that feels like he's getting a little too much hate.
34:36And everybody's like, well, Corum, Corum, Corum. And what if he gets 40% of the work, which I think is a weird
34:42number for people to throw out because he had 39% of the work last year.
34:46Like, okay, so this 1% is going to ruin Kyron Williams' season?
34:49Like, I know that the Rams have gone away from bell cow usage and Sean McVay talks up everybody like it's the
34:55best player he's ever seen in his life on his roster.
34:58But this is nothing new. And the Kyron Williams situation is nothing new.
35:02It's going to be 60-40. Would we love it if it was 70?
35:06Sure. But Kyron Williams is Kyron Williams and one of the best offenses.
35:09And the only way this goes wrong is if Matthew Stafford gets hurt.
35:13But we don't care about that when it comes to Puka Nakua, Devante Adams, and the rest of the team.
35:18But we do for some reason with Kyron Williams.
35:21So I wanted to kind of turn this a little bit more on the fact that if it's not Josh Jacobs for
35:27me because even as bad as things were last year, he still did really well.
35:31And he has a three down back, as Tara said.
35:34Then my next choice would be Kyron over the rest.
35:37So, Tara, then how about this? Should there be ifs with Josh Jacobs?
35:40It really, I think, only just sits around – I mean, we did this on a mock draft episode.
35:45We had Rich Rebar on, and he kind of was just like, hey, I'm going with Josh Jacobs.
35:50Not worried about it. No off-field. The current thing that's looming, like I love the equity, da-da-da.
35:55Should we have more of a concern about the what-ifs on the off-field?
35:59Or should we just dispel that now and just not worry about that and have to have like a – if it comes, it comes, and it happens.
36:06But we should just move forward with Josh Jacobs.
36:09Yeah, I'm on the – we're not worrying about it, ranking him as is.
36:13Because, you know, often these times, unfortunately, like often we see the issue happen and we don't see it affect the season until later.
36:19So unless something happens over the next month or so, just proceed as like, hey, this is the guy.
36:25But I think maybe what we should kind of key in on as well is that we do need to look at
36:31Marshawn Lloyd a little bit more in terms of somebody who is being undervalued as a handcuff in terms of, you know,
36:37while he's not – you know, he's not next in the depth chart, but the Packers have made it very clear like
36:43that would, in fact, be the next man up if he were to finally stay healthy here.
36:48So that's kind of my perspective on that because, again, the Green Bay offense, just – the reliability that you get in
36:54terms of knowing that a touchdown – it was the most guaranteed anytime bet last season before he got injured in terms
37:00of knowing that touchdowns were coming back to back to back to back.
37:03I mean, prior to his injury in week 11, the man had one game without a rushing touchdown.
37:08That's absolutely insane here. Just the reliability and the overall upside and the fact that you won't have those weeks where he
37:14completely whiffs is just too much to pass up because of the what if this happens, right?
37:19Obviously, if things happen towards the season, we can make those adjustments.
37:22But I do go to bat in terms of thinking that we're also going to have a bounce-back season from Jacobs as
37:29well because the overall numbers look nasty. But as a Packers fan, I do have to jump in and say that is
37:35unfortunately because he tried to play through games towards the end of the season where he was injured.
37:40And so you have a lot of nasty games where there were like very limited snaps, four or five carries there that are factored in.
37:47If you eliminate those, there was zero issue in terms of the pace that he was on and the efficiency.
37:52So apples to apples, a fully healthy season there.
37:55For the price that you're getting right here, you just can't beat it.
37:58All right. We're moving to the fifth round and let's put up a four.
38:02It's the four horsemen of the fifth round. I don't exactly know who Ric Flair is going to be or Arn Anderson,
38:08Jake, on which ones you want to annoy. But we do have four running backs in this fifth round that we are going to be battling out here.
38:16Quinjon Judkins comes in at RB20. Bucky Irving at RB21.
38:19DeAndre Swift at RB22. And Travion Henderson at 23.
38:21Very eclectic group of different issues and upside and reasoning.
38:24So of these four RB horsemen here, what side are you going with, Jake?
38:28Yeah, this one's so close that I originally had a different name and I had the same as Tara.
38:33So let her take that one because I could see the upside a little bit more for the one I ended up going with.
38:40I think the safest one in this entire range is DeAndre Swift.
38:43Like if you just want DeAndre Swift and just want to get fringe RB2 value, which I think that's why people don't love DeAndre Swift.
38:50That's who you go with. Would that be like Dean Malenko?
38:53Wasn't he a four horsemen? Yeah, there he is.
38:55He's like the Dean Malenko of the group. So I'm getting really wrestling nerdy for no reason.
39:00I was going to say, a real good grappler.
39:03The Bucky Irving one, I could see going either way.
39:05Like I kind of feel like this is going to be wrong.
39:09Like if we get really positive news, he's going to move up health-wise.
39:12If we get less and less and it seems to be iffier, we're going to talk about Gainwell later.
39:18I think he could even move down. But for Henderson, for the ceiling, I'm somebody – and I'm taking the stance as somebody who's been out there.
39:25Like let's not just completely just throw away Ramondre Stevenson.
39:28When they were both healthy at the end of the season, it was Stevenson.
39:32And then Henderson was the 40 – Henderson was the Warren to Najee Harris at the end of the season.
39:37To go back to the Steelers from a few years ago.
39:40And unfortunately, that looks like it could be the case this year.
39:44Except for there is some talk. We're starting to get some of that like, hey, let's remember how good Henderson is as a prospect.
39:50How explosive he was. Because the interesting thing about that – and I'm talking against my own player – is that in
39:56the passing game on per-touch basis, Stevenson was even better than Henderson towards the end of the year.
40:01But I think the biggest question is do we really expect that to carry over?
40:06Or was that we just saw this really good stretch from the best of what we've seen from Ramondre Stevenson?
40:11And there's still more to unlock with Henderson. So if I'm looking in this group, I think you can kind of make an argument.
40:18Like I said, I originally had Judkins. So I'll let Tara talk there about somebody who could finish top 15.
40:23But I think if things break right and the split goes the other way in the sense of being a 60-40 Henderson
40:29split, I think in this offense, Henderson could hit the top 15.
40:33And I know a lot of people would be excited about that.
40:36I was trying to get it all in. As you can tell, that's what that was at the end.
40:41And I think people are dying to know what the grouping of the four horsemen they are.
40:46I think Bucky is probably more the Ric Flair here.
40:49Judkins is probably the Arnie Henderson. Just kind of hurt.
40:51Yeah. Yeah. Well, and also Arnie, you know, like not reception, just pounding it in.
40:56Like, you know, he's a brute force. And that's Quinchon Judkins here, Tara.
40:59And that's your pick of these four RBs. So talk to us about Judkins.
41:03Yeah. He's the three down back here. I know we don't think of him as a, you know, he's not a prolific pass catcher.
41:10But three down back who can, in fact, handle checkdowns, easily handles 20-plus carries on a regular basis there.
41:15I mean, we're talking about Swift shares a backfield, which I don't think is a massive concern because they are, Chicago is deceptively run heavy.
41:22So I don't think it's an issue. He's a very safe pick.
41:25Henderson shares a backfield where occasionally he is not the starter.
41:28Bucky Irving, you know, and this is the one where I think, like Jake, I was saying is very interesting because we
41:34could go one way or the other here. But again, I talked a little bit about how his offensive coordinator is now
41:40Zach Robinson, who gave those Tyler Algier touches over Bijan Robinson.
41:43So it makes me a little uncomfortable. Judkins is the one that I really trust the most here, which is surprising because
41:50it is definitely the least trustworthy offense of the grouping there.
41:53But we're talking about a man who had four RB1 weeks despite playing behind an objectively awful offensive line, flipping through multiple quarterbacks where they're only receiving threats.
42:00Sorry, Jerry Judy was in fact a rookie tight end.
42:03The Browns are upgrading for what it is worth.
42:06They are changing to a new scheme. I think, you know, offensively, this could be a better situation for the quarterbacks.
42:11They have new talent on a completely retooled offensive line.
42:14By the grace of God, hopefully they can figure out something at quarterback and get some kind of remote strong quarterback play.
42:20You know, a girl can dream on that one.
42:23But what I do know is that, again, this is a three down back that has a team where the defense.
42:29I know we just lost Miles Garrett, but I feel like people are underestimating the talent of Jared Verse a little bit here.
42:35So this defense is obviously going to take a hit, but it's still very strong.
42:39These will be competitive games. So as long as this offensive line kind of halfway at least pans out in terms of
42:45all the changes that they've made, and then we've got the addition of all of the receiving talent from these two talented
42:51rookies as well, things will be looking slightly up for the Browns, up enough to feel super confident in their offense.
42:57No, but up enough to where I know that this man is going to have a certain amount of carries.
43:03I trust that given the carries, he is going to get a thousand yards and double-digit touchdowns is very reasonable because realistically
43:09his 17-game pace was just under a thousand yards last season with zero offseason preparation, right?
43:13So all of this is heading in a positive direction.
43:16I feel good and comfortable about this one, especially in the range.
43:19So if you're getting your guy early and then you want to dip back and get a strong candidate for RB2 in
43:25terms of workload with upside, if things can trend in a positive direction for the Browns a little bit there, Judkins is the guy for me.
43:33Okay, mid-sixth round, we are going to be playing an upside running back game because two guys with a lot of theoretical
43:39upside, I think a lot of people are putting in as a target of a RB2 or, you know, I don't know,
43:45maybe even an RB1 if they're really playing the waiting game in here.
43:48But we've got RB25 and 26 in Basial Tootin and Jadarian Price.
43:52These are around the mid-60s of drafts, so pending 10-12, you know, format that you're playing in.
43:56A lot of questions, I think, just in general about what, you know, Tootin's actual role in the offense, but the same
44:02thing goes on with Price that's going to play out there.
44:05So, Jake, a little bit tougher one, maybe on upside, what side are you going to go with, Price or Tootin?
44:11Yeah, I'm going with Price on this one. And I think, so a lot of it comes into play with Charbonnet.
44:17And there's been talk that we were just a month ago saying Charbonnet might not play until December, if all of the
44:23season, all of a sudden people seem to be waxing positively saying like, oh, you know, he could be out there October, even towards the end of September.
44:31Or I'll be one of those people like, let me wait and see it, because I still don't believe that the timeline points to November, the average timeline.
44:39So to get out there aggressively ahead of that, we've seen before that nine out of ten times getting out aggressively even
44:45just means a re-injury or they don't look the same.
44:48So I'm not worried about Charbonnet. So I'm going to go to the next step here is that everybody was before the
44:54injury from last season when we're talking about, hey, Kenneth Walker is a free agent.
44:58Well, look at Charbonnet going into next year. Charbonnet's got no competition behind him.
45:02And all of a sudden people are like, well, they signed Emmanuel Wilson and George Helani.
45:06And like all credit to those players, they're fine backups, but I don't think they're the ilk of Jadarian Price.
45:12And let me make this clear. I don't think Price is an exceptional pass catcher.
45:16I do think he's better than people realize, similar to Jonathan Taylor coming out of college.
45:20And I would still take Taylor passing game over Price.
45:23But the offense, Notre Dame playing with Jeremiah Love masked a lot.
45:26Like they didn't need Price in the passing game.
45:29So my biggest comp for this has been Raheem Mostert.
45:32It's like that rushing threat, the one who really hits the gaps.
45:35They love his speed and his ability, which is why they talk about in the return game.
45:40Well, Raheem Mostert in this offense, which is that style, you put Price in this offense, and that's where the upside is going to come.
45:46I like Tootin, but I actually, and this might sound crazy to some people, I think Chris Rodriguez is a bigger threat
45:53to Tootin than anybody in the backfield to Jadarian Price.
45:55I don't think it's a massive difference. I would just take my, like if I'm betting, like I would take the odds
46:01that I'm right about 240, 250 touches for Price.
46:04And I think Tootin falls into the 200. At the end of the day, 200 and 240, they might have equitable numbers
46:10because of the offense that Tootin's in and his ability.
46:13But I'm just going to take the touch as a slight favorite for Price.
46:17Again, another one where I know Tara's going the other way.
46:20I'm not going to call her crazy for it.
46:22I call a lot of people crazy, especially Joe, but this is one where like you're fine if you want to go the other way.
46:29Yeah, it's perfect, Tara. You're going on the other side.
46:32This is a tough decision. You guys are on opposite ends.
46:35So what is your play for Tootin over Price?
46:37It is, yeah. And to be fair to Price, I think, you know, I think Price is probably the safer bet in
46:43terms of being sure that he's going to get into a certain range of carries for sure, regardless of when Charbonnet does come back there.
46:50I will say I'm getting spooked. I am getting a little spooked there.
46:54But when it comes to Basial Tootin and the Jags offense, it's a lot riskier because I know for sure what I'm getting with Price.
47:01But I also know that nine times out of ten, more than likely, we're not going to get the level of volume
47:07that could make him a weekly top ten back.
47:09But it is possible for Basial Tootin. It's possible that this Jags committee or running back room operates as a committee, right?
47:16It's not as if Travis Etienne was pushing prolific volume last season, right?
47:19It was, you know, the Jags were run-ish heavy, but a lot of that was Trevor Lawrence picking up the pace a
47:25little bit towards the back half of the season.
47:28But when it comes to this backfield, like Chris Rodriguez is exclusively an early down and goal linebacker.
47:33And obviously a lot of, you know, noise has been made about the connection that he has to or with Liam Cohen in college.
47:39But that also means that Liam Cohen knows his limitations and the fact that this can't be a three down back.
47:45The man caught 13 passes in college. It's not possible.
47:48We know that about him. When we're looking at Tootin, I'm not saying he's the second coming of CMC or anything, but
47:54between the two, I know that that is the only one that could theoretically be a three down back.
47:59And we haven't heard any kind of noise in terms of LeQuint Allen Jr.
48:03being more than a passing's down contributor as well.
48:06And when we're doing apples to apples, Chris Rodriguez is obviously very good at the goal line.
48:10But I feel like we might be underestimating and giving some kind of automatic preference there when we actually saw some preference
48:16with Tootin at the goal line last year. It just kind of goes overlooked because he wasn't the lead back, but he
48:23was actually very strong on the ground in terms of red zone efficiency last season.
48:27He had 23 attempts inside the red zone. Not a ton, right?
48:30Because he was not the lead back. He converted four of those into touchdowns.
48:34All four of those were inside the five. His conversion rate was actually more impressive than Travis Etienne, my Clemson boy there.
48:40He also had two red zone receptions, four touchdowns.
48:42That's a very specific level of trust at the goal line for a rookie.
48:46So for Liam Cohen to have that level of trust in Tootin as a rookie, to make the assumption that Rodriguez is
48:52going to get the preference and all of a sudden that's going to go away, I don't know if I buy it here.
48:59So it's an upside play for sure. It's high risk.
49:02There is no guarantee here. This could just be an ugly, messy committee.
49:05But there is the what if possibility of this man could legitimately just be the guy for the Jags.
49:10Looking at all of these really tough decisions, one thing that stands out even more clear, if you guys haven't gone into
49:17the experimenting side, is jumping on Fantasy Pro's draft simulator.
49:19We just did a mock draft like a week or so ago that's on the channel.
49:24And I, or maybe it was the ITL one, but I hated my running back build.
49:28I absolutely hated my running back build. And when you're dealing with these tough running back decisions and whether you are playing
49:34it, you know, word for word, and it's these two guys or these three guys versus jump into the draft simulator and start testing these out.
49:41If you have definitive decisions on some of these debates that we've gone through, maybe you're someone in the comments that is
49:48like, nope, it's easily this guy, this guy, this guy.
49:50See how that works for your builds. See how comfortable you are.
49:54Start practicing today. And you can do that with Fantasy Pro's.
49:57Go to fantasyprose.com slash mock, or you can just download the Fantasy Pro's app.
50:01Use a draft simulator and practice all of these really tough decisions.
50:04So it's a lot less tough when it comes to actual draft time.
50:07Do it today. All right, friends, it is lightning round time.
50:10You guys have done a fantastic job of all of your great breakdowns, but now you got to zip it.
50:16And now you got to roll. And now you got to give us quick answers.
50:20No craziness here because we got a lot of debates here.
50:23So a couple sentences. Make your best case. Make the chat happy at the bottom.
50:27Make everybody on your side. And we will start with a big one.
50:31In the mid-seventh round, Tony Pollard, Ramondre Stevenson, Chuba Hubbard, Enrico Dowdle.
50:34Four names. Jake, your quick decision in the lightning round.
50:37Who are you taking and why? The one that I don't even love to do.
50:41It's Tony Pollard. The difference before with the wins and losses, 17 for him, seven in losses.
50:46He was garbage in losses. But maybe Brian Dable helps this offense to what we hope he can be as offense coordinator.
50:52Maybe, you know, maybe, maybe, maybe. There's a lot here.
50:55But the Titans are middle pack offense. And Tony Pollard is getting 60% of the work.
50:59And that's a lot of maybes. Then he can be an RB too.
51:03Top 20. Pollard, Stevenson, Hubbard, Dowdle, Tara. Which one?
51:05It is Hubbard for me. It's Hubbard for now.
51:08This could change. But I like Brooks' potential here.
51:10But we do have to admit that the injury history does not bode very well.
51:14The Panthers want to lean on the ground game.
51:17They made significant investments into the offensive line. I feel good about either one of these guys.
51:22But obviously, the big injury risk there is with Brooks.
51:24So Chuba Hubbard could end up being a three down back again and being the guy that we always knew he was from like two seasons ago.
51:32So I'm going to, I'm going to lean that direction there.
51:35All right. Early eighth round. We've got RJ Harvey versus Kyle Monongai versus Blake Corum.
51:39The battle are these backups or these two, what ones, twos, what the hell are they?
51:43And how do they fit for the scheme of my team?
51:47Jake, Harvey, Monongai, Blake Corum. I can't believe Harvey fell back far enough that I now want Harvey.
51:51Like I didn't want Harvey inside the top 20.
51:54And then, but it's like they signed JK Dobbins and people full on panic because there's ranks were in the side of the top 20.
52:01And I know that Dobbins was better. Nobody's going to disagree about that.
52:04And Harvey wasn't a thing until Dobbins got hurt.
52:07But Dobbins hasn't been healthy for entire season basically forever.
52:10When it comes to Monongai and Corum, I get the upside.
52:13If anything were to happen to Laird, lead option.
52:15But I don't know. This is a Jonah Coleman fear.
52:18Do we not know what? But like Sean Payton doesn't just throw out rookie running backs and give them a ton of work.
52:24Like I don't get this one. Harvey inside the top 20?
52:27No. Harvey at 32? Every single time for me.
52:30All right. Harvey, Monongai, Corum, Tara, which one? I just want nothing to do with Harvey.
52:34I get it. I do. I don't trust Sean Payton to let anybody be the three down back there.
52:40Can't do it. Give me Kyle Monongai. Just in this range.
52:43He's a handcuff. He's a high end handcuff. DeAndre Swift goes down.
52:46League winning upside. Mid ninth round. We are now going to RB 36, 37 and 38.
52:50We've got Kenny Gainwell, Aaron Jones and Rashad White.
52:53Rashad White, a very popular pick amongst a lot of people thinking he could take the top job.
52:58But is that over Aaron Jones and Kenny Gainwell?
53:00Jake, what say you? Yeah. And you said Zibit, but I will bring White into the same conversation for Tara's point there with Monongai.
53:07Would anybody be shocked if Monongai takes the lead this year?
53:10And I think that's the thing with White. Would I be shocked if White's the lead?
53:15Like I know everybody loves Krosky Merritt and there was excitement for him last year.
53:19But Ben Standigo covers the commanders even said that if anything was going to happen with him, it'd be later in the
53:25season because he basically had played one game in two seasons.
53:28And he flashed at times, but they brought in Rashad White who actually fits a little bit better for what they're going
53:34to be doing this year with Blau. So I'm taking White because he could be the lead, but it's a full-blown committee.
53:40I don't really love him. I don't really want anything to do with Aaron Jones.
53:44Go watch the one that I just did with Fitz and Joe.
53:47I wanted to say the other one, which I'll let Tara, but I've talked about him so much on this network and
53:54I didn't want to double down on this one.
53:56So my real pick would be Tara's, but I just went different just for this one reason.
54:01By the way, it is impossible doing lightning round with these smart people.
54:04They just, you guys have too many great takes.
54:07That's why I had to publicly call you on this.
54:10You did good. No, you're doing good. I want it.
54:12You had your little zip comment, but I want to say you're doing a good job about this.
54:17It's tough. You guys have all the great takes.
54:20People want to hear it, but it's lightning round.
54:22Tara, lightning round. Kenny Gainwell, Aaron Jones, Rashad White.
54:25I too love to. Yeah, Bucky be short. Gainwell.
54:27That's my soft spot. I'm multi-year. Gainwell truther here.
54:30I don't trust Bucky's health. Again, bounce back for the Bucs offense here for everybody.
54:34Don't trust Aaron Jones to make it through the season.
54:37Rashad White, cool. Not a major issue, but Gainwell is the lane for me.
54:41Well, you know what we should do, by the way?
54:43We should have had a timer that the amount of time you talked in lightning round at the very end.
54:49I'm just throwing this out to the editor. It's all that you left.
54:52Ooh, yeah. And then you just have the amount of time they talked in lightning round and see who won that.
54:58Oh, I thought you were going to say like you got four minutes total and then like once you're out, like that was it.
55:05Ooh, that would have been a good idea too.
55:07Yeah, and you just speed through. These are all great ideas for future lightning rounds.
55:12I love you guys. All right, 11 to 12.
55:14We got two more here. 11 to 12 turn.
55:17We've got a couple, four more backs here. Tyler Algier at 43.
55:20Jonathan Brooks, Zach Charbonnet and Woody Marks. What a collection there.
55:23Jake, kick us off here of these 43 to 46 at RB.
55:26Yeah, I've already made my piece about Charbonnet and Algier is timeshare at best.
55:30Unless injury, but I'll take Jonathan Brooks as the chance.
55:33Like, look, I don't guarantee this. We don't know if he's 100% or looks anything like we knew the Jonathan Brooks was.
55:39But if he is, if he is anything like he looked when he came out of college, he's taking the job without an injury.
55:46But that's the big question. So I'll just take the upside chance that that can happen.
55:50Tara, what say you about those four running backs?
55:53You going to join Jake in this one? I am.
55:55Jonathan Brooks. Same deal. You know, I like Tuba Hubbard because I like both of them.
56:00I want some piece of this running back game because someone is going to be the lead back here.
56:05One person will be. They upgraded their offensive line.
56:07They want to lead on the run. Um, so all good there.
56:11Uh, if he can stay healthy again, we have seen time and time again, people steal jobs like hotcakes in, um, this Panthers offense.
56:17So no one's job is safe. He could definitely earn it.
56:20Uh, the final one, the final tough decision, a lot of crazy ones we've been having here, but the final of the
56:27tough RB decisions here is late, late running back pick here.
56:30We've got Brian Robinson at RB 51. Keaton Mitchell at 52.
56:33Tank Bigsby at RB 53. And the RB 54, uh, mentioned a little bit ago, Jonah Coleman.
56:37So Jake final one here of these four running backs.
56:40These are going to be more bench backs. You're making the bet on, uh, how tough is this decision and who did you pick?
56:47Yeah. I like Keaton Mitchell if I need a flex option, but if anything were to happen, I don't think Keaton Mitchell
56:53is getting the full workload and shots fired on the sidebar for a Tara's pick, but I don't think Tank Bigsby is
56:59getting a full workload because not a big pass catcher.
57:02I think he shares more than people might assume.
57:04And I'm not saying that Tara is saying that we'll find out what Tara has to say.
57:09Jonah Coleman. I don't think it's the full workload.
57:11The one person in this group I do, if the lead option gets hurt is Brian Robinson.
57:16Who's behind them? Tyler Goodson, Nathan Carter, and Cash Money Jones out there.
57:20Like, I don't even know. Like I have, I have, I don't have a profile on Cash Jones to make that clear of what's behind that.
57:27So Brian Robinson, in my opinion of these four bell cow workload, if the lead option gets hurt.
57:32And that's why. All right, Tara, what say you?
57:34Tank Bigsby just give me the handcuff and the run heaviest offense.
57:38We talked about it with Saquon. They are going to lean on the ground game.
57:42So if something were to happen to him, boom.
57:44I mean, we've seen the upside goal line touchdowns as well.
57:47So that is my lean there. Just grabbing the guy that I think is the highest upside handcuff option there.
57:53I think Tara might've won the lightning round. I gotta be honest with you.
57:57I think Tara might've had the most succinct in there.
58:00Didn't also call me out about telling you to zip it, Jake.
58:03So Tara wins. Tara wins a lightning round. That's official.
58:06I wasn't calling you out. I was actually making an apology for myself.
58:09I know, I know. I was trying to be nice to you.
58:13The last time I did that. We're anointing. We're anointing Tara, the winner of the lightning round.
58:17But what say you in the comments below, how tough were these decisions?
58:21What was the toughest? And did you have another take?
58:24You know, there were a couple of backs that weren't even talked about in these, especially when we have the three or four.
58:30So hopefully you guys can go and put some of these tough decisions to the test in the draft simulator.
58:36Go start playing with that. And you can go and check out the ranks.
58:39We've got great articles. We've got everything over at Fantasy Pros, but you can check out inside of put to test of
