Adonai Mitchell

PositiveUsage11:54

Adonai Mitchell is a recommended start as the clear WR2 in a funneled passing game. He leads all NFL receivers in air yard share (59.4%) and is viewed as a high-upside WR3/Flex play with top-25 potential.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue43:22

Bucky Irving is preferred over Chuba Hubbard by the source, despite some concerns regarding his health and the overall performance of Baker Mayfield. The source notes that while the Flores defense can be tough, Irving remains a strong start given his role.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveRole33:42

Chuba Hubbard has a solidified role as the primary back in Carolina following Jonathan Brooks' move to IR. While the source notes he is 'kind of a guy' talent-wise, the opportunity is spectacular with the backfield to himself. He is viewed as a top-15 running back this week against a Cleveland defense that is not as scary as in previous years.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeUsage47:14

D'Andre Swift is considered a safe floor play who will not leave managers stranded, though he lacks the ceiling of George Pickens.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveMatchup62:53

David Montgomery is a recommended touchdown call for Week 3. Despite a sluggish start, the source highlights the favorable matchup against a terrible Indianapolis run defense as the primary reason for his potential success.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout17:14

Denzel Boston is a recommended start and a potential breakout candidate. Despite some concerns regarding Deshaun Watson's consistency, Boston has shown big-play ability and is viewed as a strong WR3 option.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper42:36

Denzel Boston is preferred over Romeo Doubs by the source, who remains high on Boston's potential despite his lower consensus ranking.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeUsage41:11

Drake Maye is struggling due to a poor offensive line and defensive schemes that drop six into coverage while generating pressure with only four rushers. The source notes Maye needs to utilize his rushing ability more to counter these defensive looks.

Insight page
PositiveValue58:47

The source maintains a buy-low stance on Drake Maye, noting that his performance should improve as the Patriots' play-calling adapts; the source emphasizes that Maye needs to run more, especially given the open lanes created by six-man coverage schemes.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeProjection47:07

George Pickens is viewed as a 'get right' candidate this week, with the source preferring him over D'Andre Swift for his higher ceiling despite the risk of the playing surface.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveProjection7:19

Jake ranks Isaiah Likely behind Rondae Gadsden, citing concerns over the Ravens' passing game performance and target distribution under Jameis Winston.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveSleeper24:17

Jadarian Price is a 'plant your flag' pick for the upcoming week, assuming he is healthy. He is expected to benefit from a game script that favors grinding out the clock against the Commanders.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveUsage57:37

Jalen Coker has emerged as a key target in the Panthers' offense, recording nine targets and eight catches in each of his first two games. He is one of only two players (alongside McMillan) on the team ranking in the top 12 in team target percentage, making him a reliable start.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveBreakout63:03

Jalen McMillan is a touchdown call for Week 3. The source notes that while he has yet to score this season, the offense is performing well and he possesses the playstyle of a high-end touchdown producer; the source is not concerned about the Cleveland defense.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveProjection40:14

Jameson Williams possesses elite weekly upside, with the source noting he is capable of reaching top-five status in any given week.

Insight page
PositiveValue56:44

Jameson Williams is considered a 'buy low' candidate despite a slow start. While he is currently WR57 in PPR scoring, he ranks as WR16 in expected fantasy points. The source argues that spite-benching him is a mistake given the high-powered nature of the Detroit offense.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage50:54

Jalen Warren is the preferred start over Rashee Rice if Rico Dowdle is out, as Warren is expected to see a significant backfield share and benefit from check-downs.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeInjury2:21

Jonah Coleman is excluded from the waiver wire discussion due to injury uncertainty after missing Wednesday's practice, though he remains a smart long-term stash.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveBust30:44

Kyle Pitts is ranked as TE19 and is considered a lower-tier option compared to Pat Freiermuth, with concerns regarding his target volume and usage.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeBust8:27

Mark Andrews is considered a bust candidate by Jake, who notes that despite having ample opportunity in the previous week, he failed to produce, raising concerns about his current career trajectory.

Insight page
NegativeUsage55:30

Mark Andrews is providing a consistent but low-ceiling floor of 4-6 catches for roughly 50 yards, with little evidence of expanded usage in the Ravens' offense.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection45:32

Marvin Harrison Jr. is seeing a continued decline in fantasy hope, with the source ranking him as low as 59th overall.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveUsage39:56

Matthew Golden has played nearly 90 percent of his snaps outside, and he faces a favorable matchup against the Falcons, who placed their best outside corner, AJ Terrell, on injured reserve.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveProjection45:02

Michael Wilson is preferred over Chris Godwin for his ceiling, with the source assuming Jacoby Brissett is healthy enough to support the passing game.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout54:10

Parker Washington is considered a star by the source and is preferred over Tank Bigsby for fantasy lineups.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveMatchup29:06

Pat Freiermuth is a 'plant your flag' pick for the week due to a favorable matchup against a Bengals defense that struggled against tight ends last season. Fitz ranks him as his TE10.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeUsage50:11

Quinshawn Judkins is viewed as a volume-dependent player who is currently struggling with efficiency, averaging only 2.3 yards per carry with no runs of 10+ yards. While he provides a safe floor due to his 12-15 touches per game, he is compared to an inefficient 'Woody Marks' type of player.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeUsage51:22

Rashee Rice's usage has changed significantly this year, with fewer targets and a disappearance of the screen game, which is now being directed toward Xavier Worthy.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveMatchup60:37

Sam LaPorta remains a top-six tight end option for Week 3. The source notes that the Miami Dolphins' pass defense is a 'disaster zone' and advises never to sit a tight end against them.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveUsage10:29

Terrence Ferguson is a preferred start over other tight end options if Puka Nacua is sidelined, as he serves as a primary target alongside Davante Adams in the Rams' offense.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveUsage60:37

The source highlights a resurgence for Travis Kelce, noting the Chiefs are utilizing him differently by focusing on the middle of the field with short-area targets, allowing Rashee Rice to operate outside. The source ranks him as a top-eight tight end and prefers him over Sam LaPorta in full PPR formats.

0:04Grainger, for the ones who get it done. We'll be right back to our heads that were popular this week and then
0:10also our touchdown calls at the end of the show.
0:13As always, before we jump in, Jake, how are you doing here?
0:17I'm doing great. I know I got the black with the navy blue, but I am in full celebration mode this week for the return of Darkwing Duck.
0:25So that's all I can think about. That day was top five announcements in my life.
0:30I saw you tweeting about it. I've never seen Darkwing Duck, but I saw you tweeting about it and I knew we
0:36would get a t-shirt from you today. Okay, so I was fully expecting this.
0:40I also expected that response as well. Fitz, are you a Darkwing Duck fan?
0:44I can't say I am. Yeah, just haven't been doing a lot of animated television lately.
0:49What do you mean lately? It was the 90s.
0:51And by lately, I mean the last 30 years.
0:54Relative to the span of Fitz's life, 90s is lately actually.
0:57All right. Well, I can't really contribute to a Darkwing Duck conversation.
1:01I just saw you tweet about it. So I'm very happy for you, my friend, Jake.
1:05But yeah, done. I'll be happier if I can find a way to voice something on the show.
1:11That's bucket list. Just give me like one line on any of these shows.
1:15That's all I'm asking for. We'll start that campaign for you here.
1:18See if anybody in our audience happens to know the right person can get you on there.
1:23Let's go ahead and jump into the show. We're going to start, as we always do, with the most popular waiver ads of the week.
1:31And are those guys that you are picking up to sash for the long term and just take a chance on?
1:37Or are they guys that you want to be actually starting here right off the bat?
1:41I just want to note that the most popular waiver wire, at least in terms of just following on Twitter and seeing
1:48who we were getting the most questions about and the people were talking about the most in our audience, was Jonah Coleman.
1:54I'm not including him because since becoming a very popular waiver ad, he then wasn't practicing on Wednesday.
2:00So with all the injury uncertainty, also it seems like, you know, JK Dobbins might actually be more okay than we thought.
2:06I don't think it made sense to include him.
2:09I still think he's obviously very smart long term stash just in case, but I don't want to include him in this segment.
2:15So I just want to note that because he is such a popular name.
2:19People might be surprised why he didn't come up.
2:22Let's jump into the names that I did include here on the sheet.
2:26The first one I have is actually a tight end, Rondae Gadsden.
2:29Obviously, Charlie Kolar and David Njoku get hurt in the week two game for the Chargers.
2:34The offense hasn't been good, but there is now an opportunity here in an offense that we thought was going to be good.
2:41He obviously flashed at times last season. So Gadsden became a very popular pickup at tight end.
2:46I know I picked him up in one very deep league fits.
2:49I'll start with you. Is he somebody that you're interested in starting right away at tight end?
2:54I am less interested in starting him than maybe just having him as a break glass in case of emergency starter.
3:00Like I've got him ranked tight end 16 this week.
3:03I just it's hard to feel good about anything related to the Chargers offense right now.
3:08And last week we saw Gadsden break up a pass intended for teammate Brendan Thompson.
3:12You know, we did get a brief spurt of tight end one status from Gadsden last year over a four week stretch.
3:19There is potential here. And with no Charlie Kohler, David Njoku, maybe we do see the sort of snap shares and target
3:25shares we were hoping for last year. You know, after the breakout, maybe things would be better for 2026.
3:31And then all of a sudden the Chargers add all these other tight ends and things started to look bleak.
3:37We'll see. I just wish we felt better about the Chargers offense because it's been awful so far.
3:42What do you think of the matchup? I mean, we know what the Bills have historically been against tight ends.
3:48It's different, obviously, defensive system and play caller this year for the first time in a while.
3:53Do you look at this as a poor matchup for him going up against the Bills defense or are you matchup agnostic,
3:59given that it's so early in Jim Leonard's tenure?
4:02Matchup agnostic because we don't know enough about Leonard's schemes with the Bills.
4:06I know a lot about Leonard schemes from the Wisconsin days in college.
4:09But yeah, I just the one thing we like about the matchup is that the Bills offense might force the Chargers to stomp the accelerator to keep up.
4:18Jake, Arana Gadsden is tied in 15 in consensus rankings right now for the week.
4:22The names around him, guys like Mark Andrews, Harold Fannin, Jake Ferguson, Isaiah Likely is a couple spots ahead.
4:28Colson Loveland hasn't done much this season. Kyle Pitts, Terrence Ferguson.
4:31That's kind of the range that he's in. What do you think about starting him this week?
4:36Yeah, I have him in front of all of them.
4:39I have Gadsden at 11 one spot in front of Likely because I don't think the situation with Likely and the targets were there.
4:46But Jameis Winston looked like he spent all his time learning the other football.
4:50They looked terrible. Let's be honest. So I think they're in the same bucket.
4:54I'm in the same tier. I think it comes down to is that I would go Gadsden over Likely.
4:59If you want to go Likely in full PPR, I have no problem with it.
5:04I think he's in front of Juwan Johnson because Valle is Valle.
5:07I think Mark Andrews has touched on our bus.
5:10He had all the opportunity in the world to do something more last week.
5:14And we still just Mark Andrews at this point in his career.
5:18So it just comes down to I'm shooting for the upside.
5:21And I really look at the fact that if we would have known this preseason, which was the biggest problem was like, oh, we're excited for Gadsden.
5:29Well, then they signed in David Njoku and they bring in Charlie Kohler and free agency and talk up using two tight ends.
5:35And we're like, well, that was fun for the Gaston ride for about two weeks.
5:40But now we're back to it. Gaston is arguably the number two because Quentin Johnson looks awful like Quentin Johnston.
5:46Talk about somebody that's been given every opportunity in the world multiple times over and should really just be what he should
5:52be as a wide receiver three gadget big play guy like that.
5:56He's he's just we hope for more and we've never gotten it.
5:59So I'm looking at it like the opportunity here is that Gaston going against the Bills defense is to potentially the number
6:05two coming from somebody who said this offense looks miserable.
6:08I keep making the Eli Manning conversation comparisons. Things probably might not.
6:12Well, not probably. They might not get better for a few more weeks, but I'm taking the upside if you want to
6:18go likely if you want to go the floor of Johnson.
6:22I have no problem with it, but I would take the chance because I'm the tight end.
6:27I'm shooting for upside at tight end. One more name.
6:29I'll throw your way Jake Terrence Ferguson if Puka sits again him or one spot in front of him if it was
6:36cool, but you that's yeah, we might not have that word.
6:39That's Sunday night. But if we do I mean it sounds damning as this morning.
6:43We would like Ferguson was a set. He was the number two with Adams.
6:48So you talk about the number two with the Rams versus the number two with the Chargers.
6:53I'll take the number two with the Rams. I'm not going to ask Fitz.
6:57I know his answer to that question. It's Ferguson.
6:59I mean, right now I've got Ferguson ranked behind Gadsden just because Ferguson popped up with like an ankle injury on the injury report.
7:06But it seems like he's going to play. But that's a little bit concerning.
7:10Another player I want to talk about here in this segment.
7:14A.D. Mitchell. Jake, I'll start with you on this one.
7:16Is Mitchell somebody, you know, he's out targeted Garrett Wilson.
7:19Obviously a really tantalizing matchup here. Is he somebody that you're starting off waivers this week or just wanted to pick up to sit on?
7:27Start in week one, start in week two. What do you think my answer is for week three?
7:32Probably starting. Starting Adonai Mitchell, especially against the Lions.
7:35Like it's Adonai Mitchell. This is the argument I made in the preseason going into week one and made it after week
7:41two, made it after week or after week one.
7:44And now after week two is he's the number two with Geno Smith playing capable football.
7:48Geno Smith for all the hate that that team got last year and all that like, oh, let's give a pass because of Kelly.
7:55And everybody's just like, well, Geno's part of the problem.
7:58Was it like Geno Smith is back to playing competent football?
8:02And that's all we needed competent. He doesn't have to be great.
8:05He just has to be a mid-level quarterback, which is what he is.
8:09And he can move the offense. Adonai Mitchell, by the way, one more target than Garrett Wilson.
8:14I'm not saying like, oh my gosh, he's the number one on this team, but the volume is there.
8:19I'm chasing volume. That's the clear number two and a funneled passing game with those two embrace all of the backfield.
8:25And Geno Smith playing capable football and going against the Lions.
8:29And I Mitchell should have been what he was for me last week.
8:33A wide receiver three. I'm going to go top 25 on him at this point because there's still, I'll give you an
8:39easy comparison for everybody out there that's excited for.
8:42He's Josh Downs on the Jets. There you go.
8:44He is right smack dab in the middle of the consensus rankings of wide receiver three.
8:49He's wide receiver 30 this week. Oh, and the reason I bring that up is because he's legit.
8:54He has zero ends in end zone target so far.
8:57That's why I brought up the Josh Downs comparison.
9:00Wando Robinson is Josh. Well, Wando Robinson Giants is Josh Downs.
9:03Josh Downs is Adonai Mitchell. They're all like, that's, that's who you should be picturing in your mind.
9:08Yeah. Uh, Adonai Mitchell fits wide receiver 30. Like I said, uh, too high, too low.
9:13Just right. Or is he somebody you're starting? Did just right.
9:16I've got him 31 and yes, I would start him.
9:19Um, like he was in a neutral matchup. He would be wide receiver three or flex worthy.
9:24This is not a neutral matchup. The lions have been awful.
9:27Their secondary is a mess. They've given up 658 passing yards, six touchdown passes.
9:31Adonai Mitchell right now is leading all NFL receivers in air yard share right now.
9:36He has accounted for 59.4% of the jets air yards.
9:39His wide receiver 35 and half point PPR scoring wide receiver 25, uh, in expected half point PPR scoring according to the fantasy points data suite.
9:46So yeah, I mean, things have been really good for Adonai Mitchell and, um, obviously like sometimes Mitchell doesn't convert all of these targets.
9:53The hands can be questionable at times, but in fairness, like there was a 50 yard throw to him last week against
10:00the Packers where he got interfered with that wiped out the potential for a reception.
10:04But man, the usage has been glorious so far.
10:07Let me ask one. Can I ask a toss up?
10:10Cause he's not on the show sheet. Would you go downs or would you go Mitchell this week?
10:15Cause downs has the Texans. I have, uh, Mitchell ranked higher.
10:18Okay. A little bit higher by about four spots.
10:21Like it. They're, they're actually back to back in, um, in the fantasy pros expert ranking, not the expert consensus with the
10:27entire industry, but adjust the fantasy pros guys. Those two are back to back.
10:31So it's a, it's a good question having them there.
10:34Uh, one more receiver. I want to talk about in this section, Denzel Boston, obviously a very popular pickup this week has looked very strong.
10:41I want to start his rookie season. Uh, you know, Jake, I did a show with Fitz earlier this week and he
10:48was saying that Boston would be, you know, his, his wide receiver one in, uh, if he was redoing his rookie rankings, um, right now.
10:55Uh, is that something that you are also willing to say?
10:58Like you've seen enough. He should be ahead of, you know, guys like Tate and, and lemon, or, um, are you maybe
11:05a little bit less aggressive about what you've seen early from Boston?
11:08He's wide receiver 38, by the way, in consensus.
11:11I mean, for redraft. Sure. You make that argument.
11:14I have no problem with it. I mean, Chris Bell's still not a hundred percent.
11:18Uh, uh, make high lemon is not, he was going to be a mid season option as we got deeper into the preseason.
11:25He wasn't practicing. He wasn't playing like that's a big factor for any rookie.
11:29And so that was going to be a long-term Tyson got injured.
11:32And of course, Cardinal Tate is getting ruined by the Titans.
11:36So yeah, no problem with that argument, uh, for this week and like kind of things here, I would say wide receiver
11:42three is a good range because for anybody that didn't see it.
11:45Let's be honest. The Buccaneers should have tackled them on that touchdown.
11:49Like they, they just like freaking bounced off each other.
11:52Like the rolling balls, like, like that was stupid.
11:55So, um, that being said, the big play opportunities are there because Watson's looking for him deep easily.
12:00That's the one thing I would actually be concerned if Sanders is that quarterback for specifically Boston.
12:05Um, but yeah, he's a wide receiver three. It's just understand that like, this could be the week where it doesn't work out.
12:11Fitz, obviously I just mentioned that you, you know, have been a really big fan of Boston so far.
12:17This week in particular, where are you ranking him?
12:20He is outside the top 36 in ECR. Like I said, wide receiver 38.
12:24So just outside that wide receiver three range. Wide receiver 29.
12:27Wow. And yeah, it's just continuing the drumbeat of positive reporting on Denzel Boston from training camp where all the beat writers
12:33for the Browns seemed unanimous that, uh, like this guy was a find.
12:37You could tell that they knew right away this guy was going to be special.
12:42And so far he's looked pretty special. Um, now there's always the possibility that Deshaun Watson could sort of short, short circuit things for Boston.
12:49But surprisingly, Watson has been pretty serviceable so far.
12:52He's eighth in passer rating right now and 16th in EPA per drop back.
12:56So he is at least been average, not so great in week one, pretty good in week two against the Buccaneers.
13:02They come home, uh, first home game of the year for the Browns against the Panthers.
13:06The only thing to watch for, like you never know what the weather is going to be like in Cleveland stadium with the wind blowing off Lake Erie.
13:15If it's like a gusty windy day, I'll, I'll have to move Boston and all other components of, uh, the Browns and
13:21Panthers passing games down in my rankings. But man, so far, I think he is a start.
13:26I'm looking, uh, right now at fantasypros.com on the player cards.
13:29You can see, uh, where every expert is ranking somebody.
13:32And so which experts are the highest on a given player or lowest over a hundred names, you know, experts are in
13:39these rankings and only six of them have Boston higher than you do fit.
13:43So you are very near the top of this.
13:45And two of those who have them higher are Scott Bogman, our colleague and, uh, Brandon Funston, Jake's colleague.
13:51So, uh, those are, uh, just a few of the names that have them higher.
13:55Let's go to the plant your flag section. Uh, Jake, we usually start with Fitz here.
14:00I want to start with you. You could not have crushed it more with Devante Adams.
14:05Uh, one of the all time best plant your flag, uh, segments we've ever had on this show.
14:10Uh, and he obviously was utterly dominant in that game against the Giants, almost 200 yards, multiple touchdowns, just a ridiculous prime Devante Adams game.
14:17So who are you going to again? Can you possibly live up to last week's play your flag player?
14:23Uh, let's talk Pete Alonzo. I'm moving to baseball.
14:25Like I'm pulling the Michael Jordan. I'm out. I'm going on top.
14:29I don't want to do this again. Uh, like, yeah, the touchdown call is going to be, it won't be the same player again this week.
14:36Also because they don't have running back. It's my plant, my flag.
14:40And it sounds like he's okay. Obviously this changes things.
14:43If we get worse news after the show on Friday or whatever it was, but I go back to the fact that
14:49McDonnell, McDonnell slapped him on the chest for a chest chest slash shoulder injury.
14:53And they were laughing during the game in the second half.
14:57So I am going to Jadarian price against the commanders going against the Seahawks.
15:01So I think that this is a recipe for grind out the clock, get a ton on the ground.
15:06Uh, I do think JSM will be fine as we saw drew lock understands the assignment, but at the same time, this
15:13feels like, unless I will say like, of course, if they're grinding out the clock and Jadarian price doesn't practice in full
15:19on Friday, and he's not a hundred percent for this game, then like, you wouldn't want to risk it.
15:25But this is assuming that price is okay. If price is out, I would pivot straight to my flag plant would be
15:31Emmanuel Wilson, because I just think the Seahawks are going to destroy the commanders.
15:35Uh, even though I don't think the passing game is that much different.
15:39Actually, the numbers hold up and show that the passing game is not that much different between Mariota slash Daniels.
15:45I still think the Seahawks are going to roll the commanders this week.
15:49And that's why I would take their lead running back.
15:52What do you think about this one, Fitz? Yeah, I'm not going to doubt Jake on anything matchup related anymore, because, uh,
15:58you know, when Jake was pitching Devante Adams is his flag plant last week and talking about how bad he thought the Giants DBS were.
16:05I was like, really? Are they that bad? Yeah, they were that bad on Monday night.
16:10So I'm not, I'm not questioning Jake anymore. I'm all in on Jadarian price if Jake is.
16:15Uh, price by the way is RB 31. There's the elements of the injury.
16:19Yeah, I'm a 21, assuming he's fine. Yeah, assuming he's healthy that that will go up with his playing.
16:25Um, yeah, I'm with you on this game, by the way, to like Seattle, even fly east on the road playing early
16:31there, like only minus seven, man, this, this defense will travel anywhere.
16:35I, I, I think they're really good. This is going to be the most popular survivor for anybody that somehow made it
16:41through week one and two and watch this go sideways.
16:44This would just, this would be 2026 in a nutshell.
16:47If this goes sideways, you, you think it'll be more popular than chiefs at Dolphin?
16:51It's a bigger spread. Is it? Chiefs at Dolphin?
16:54It is. It is a bigger spread. I'm saying like, is it more popular?
16:58Like I'm trying to think, because I think the, why I said it is because I think a lot of people took
17:04the chiefs and I think that's, Oh, okay. I've already used them.
17:08Yeah. Yeah. That makes sense. I think a lot of people last week.
17:12I don't have to worry about it. Cause I took the bucks last week, so I'm already out.
17:17Uh, same. Yeah. I was like, I, I made it through the chargers in week one.
17:22I was like all you suckers. I survived. And then it happened to me.
17:26I love the, I love the 15% using the chargers in week two that were like, Oh yeah.
17:31Come join the party. Like this, this is fun.
17:34We need that sad music from prices. Right. You know, when you lose the, thank you Fitz.
17:39That was really well done. Yeah. I also didn't know that one.
17:42Uh, Fitz, who is your player flag player? Yeah, this is a weird one.
17:46It's, uh, it's Pat Friermuth because who would not want a piece of the Steelers passing game right now?
17:52No, no, actually this one is entirely matchup based.
17:54The Bengals gave up the most catches receiving yardage and touchdowns to tight ends last season.
17:59They're still being, uh, they've still got Al Golden as their defensive coordinator and they've just got firebombed by Dalton Schultz last week, uh, of the Texans.
18:07And Friermuth had a 100 yard, I believe two touchdown game against the Bengals last season.
18:12Uh, Friermuth is my pick to click this week.
18:14Uh, Jake, does it, when you, when you saw Pat Friermuth was the choice here, was your reaction like gross?
18:20What is Fitz thinking? Was it, Oh yeah, I see where he's gonna, you know, be coming from here.
18:26Where are you at on Friermuth? Tight end 17 in ECR.
18:29Uh, I'm actually right around consensus. So I'm okay with it mostly because it's the Bengals matchup and they have an Aaron Rogers problem.
18:36It's not a Mike McCarthy problem. So I have no problem with that.
18:40And the really thing is I would consider him over pits at this point.
18:44Pits doesn't throw to panics. Like, or sorry. Pants doesn't throw to pits.
18:48Yeah. Yeah. Of course pits doesn't throw to panics.
18:50Maybe that would help things. Uh, Pits is lower in ECR.
18:53Is he? Friermuth is tight end 17. Pits is not a tight end 19 for tonight's game.
18:58So, uh, yeah, he, he is buried down there.
19:01Uh, I'm sorry, Fitz. Did you say where is Friermuth ranked for you amongst tight ends?
19:06Tight end 10. 10 and 10. Okay. Yeah. So it's a very up there.
19:10That's a flag plant. He has plenty. Yes. Yeah.
19:12He's a, well, listen, he was uncertain about yours last week.
19:16Maybe you'll be uncertain about his this. I don't know.
19:19We're in for a hundred 90 yards. I'm looking right now.
19:22This is the highest on front. You were tied with Brad Evans.
19:25There you go. You're the only two that have him at 10.
19:29So we'll see how that one goes. I wouldn't feel great about investing in the Steelers offense, but Fitz laid out a good case there.
19:36Before we get to our next segment, I need to tell you about this new prediction market called Polymarket.
19:42It's a stock exchange for sports buying and selling on your terms.
19:45When your team goes down to 20%, you can buy in and sell it off at 40% when they come back to double your money.
19:53They are so confident. You'll never go back to the other guys.
19:56They're giving you a free $50 on your first trade when you deposit just $10.
20:00So download the Polymarket app today and use FPPOD when you sign up.
20:04That's FPPOD to get $50 free after you trade just $10.
20:07All right, guys, let's get to our start sit player debates here.
20:11Starting with the running backs as usual fits Cam Scadaboo versus Chuba Hubbard.
20:15Who do you like better in their matchups this week?
20:18Obviously, Scadaboo as you know, his back quarterback is going to be in there now.
20:22Hubbard now gets this runway more solidified with Jonathan Brooks going on IR.
20:26Scadaboo is RB 20 in ECR and Hubbard was actually lower than him when I put the sheet together.
20:31He's now up at RB 16. So he is sort of making this look a little not as close as it did when I put the sheet together.
20:40What do you think about this one Hubbard or Scadaboo?
20:43I was initially higher on Scadaboo. I've swung around and now I would go with Hubbard here.
20:48And I'm a little lower than consensus on both.
20:50I just with Hubbard, I ultimately just think he's kind of a guy, but the opportunity is spectacular for him with the backfield to himself.
20:57Now with Jonathan Brooks out, AJ Dillon is the only backup.
21:01But yeah, with Scadaboo, I just I don't know if this coaching regime likes Scadaboo as much as the previous regime.
21:07He is not being really used in the passing game at all.
21:10It's not getting more course duty. And if Jameis Winston is as terrible this week as he was on Monday night, things
21:17are going to be catastrophic for the Giants offense.
21:19Now, I wouldn't be surprised if Jameis rebounded with a full week of practice reps and preparation and wound up being the
21:26Jameis we know and love who throws for 320 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in week three.
21:31But man, if he's not, there is no like the floor for Scadaboo is is pretty bad, like three or four fantasy points.
21:38Jake, for you, I'm curious both head to head.
21:41Who do you like better? But, you know, Fitz saying that he's lower the consensus on both guys.
21:46Do you also feel like they're both maybe too high in the rankings?
21:50No, I have a 10 spot gap from Hubbard to Scadaboo.
21:53I don't even think this one is close. And that was before the movement.
21:57I'm still apparently higher on Hubbard than consensus because I'm at 14.
22:01I have Scadaboo at 24. And I whispered thank you in there like I missed plenty.
22:05We all missed plenty. I have Loveland as my number two tight end.
22:09Everybody's coming for me for that for some reason.
22:12But the one thing I didn't miss is I hammered and hammered and hammered and hammered that Harbaugh plus Roman means split backfield.
22:18And then they brought in Naja Harris. And I said, it's going to be worse than you even thought it was going
22:25to be when they brought in Naja Harris, because now it's a fourth person.
22:29And this is just what they do. The Mark Ingram year was 200 carries.
22:33And he finished as a RB one because of the touchdowns, 12 rushing touchdowns, I think it was.
22:38Scadaboo, you saw in the second half, he got annoyed when he got called off the field.
22:43You saw his face. He was not happy. He got called off the field.
22:47So if they had the lead, does that just mean it's going to be more Singletarian Harris potentially getting those short yards?
22:54Or touches? If it's more passing, does Tracy get more than one play?
22:58Like whatever it might be, because Fitz brought up the other part of it is that they're not even using that much in the passing game.
23:05So this offense is a mess. I guess the offensive line went from being great last year to a great in week
23:12one to just getting exposed by the Rams. And maybe that part of the problem was switching from Dart to Winston and whatever it might be.
23:19So I don't think it's the end of the world, but I don't see how Scadaboo is in the same conversation as
23:26Hubbard, who again, Fitz is not wrong. Hubbard is a mid-level.
23:29He's above replacement level running back, but we're talking about somebody who's getting all of the touches in offense that is clicking
23:35this year under Dave Canales and what we hoped it could be.
23:39And the Cleveland Browns defense is not scary as it was.
23:42So I think he's a top 15 running back.
23:45I have Hubbard ahead of Kyron Williams in a split against Denver.
23:48Okay. Kyron is one spot ahead of Hubbard in ECR right now.
23:52They're RB 15 and 16. Let's set aside Scadaboo for a second, just because I think we all are largely in agreement
23:58in terms of what we think about him for this week.
24:01With Hubbard Fitz, where exactly is he ranked for you?
24:04How much lower are you on Hubbard than Jake is up at RB 14?
24:08I have got him RB 19. Okay. So a little, just a couple of spots behind ECR.
24:13The matchup I think is interesting because like the offenses look so good this year, but has come against the Bears defense
24:20and a Falcons team that Bryce Young usually shreds historically.
24:23And then Cleveland, like, I don't think they're as good, but Erickson, I've done a few shows with him this week and
24:29he keeps, you know, really hammering the point that historically the Browns are better at home on defense.
24:34And so now they get to be playing this game in Cleveland as opposed to on the road.
24:40So maybe there's a bounce back defensively. I don't know how much stock I put into that.
24:45I mean, it's still, it's not Jim Schwartz. There's no Miles Garrett.
24:48Like it's a different looking defense than it has been in those years when that has been the case.
24:54But I think trying to sort of pinpoint how I feel about Hubbard is interesting.
24:58He's ahead of guys like DeAndre Swift, Bucky Irving, you know, David Montgomery has had one big game, one poor game.
25:04These are some of the names that he's around in ECR.
25:07Jake, you seem to be not worried about that angle to the matchup here in terms of the Cleveland defense, right?
25:14No. And the home road splits, I mean, we did that for years with quarterbacks.
25:18And I mean, we did that for years with Jared Goff.
25:21I mean, remember Ben LaRoflisberger and even Mike Tomlin was like, that's a stupid thing.
25:26I don't understand it. Maybe he's just more comfortable living at home or whatever it might be.
25:31And then the splits went out the window after a few years.
25:34Their splits went out the window a few years with Jared Goff.
25:38And you brought up reasons why I'm not coming for Andrew on this, but like you just brought up why it might
25:44not even mean anything that they're better at home.
25:47So the toughest one I had was Hubbard versus Irving because like I've been mostly with Fitz this entire preseason with the
25:53Irving situation until I got concerned that he wasn't 100% healthy and we weren't getting clarity on that in the preseason.
25:59But once he was back to like, hey, he's fine.
26:02I was locked up with Fitz again. So that's the toughest call I'm having because it is Bucky Irving.
26:08It is the Flores defense. The Flores defense at some point in the middle of the season goes haywire.
26:13I go back every single year. Flores defense dominates through weeks eight to 10.
26:17And then at some point it just stops working.
26:20I don't know why, but we're only in week three, which is why I have a little bit of hesitancy.
26:26And it's not so much for Irving. It's just that Baker Mayfield has looked terrible through the first two weeks and that could affect Irving.
26:33But I'm bringing that up to say like that was my toughest call is Hubbard versus Irving.
26:38But that's where that's what I think of Hubbard with this volume.
26:42Like we talked about on the waiver show. Fitch is the one that said it.
26:46But AJ Dillon, whatever. Like you really think AJ Dillon's getting any more than like three touches from Hubbard in this week?

27:39Hey, this is James from Raiders of the Lost podcast.
27:42We've learned over and over on our show while talking to people in entertainment that success comes when you bet on yourself.
27:48How many times have we talked to an actor who took a big risk with a challenging role because they believed they could pull it off?
27:56Well, it's a lot easier to take those risks when you've got the practical stuff covered.
28:00And that's what Geico does so well. Imagine an actor driving to set to film the scene that's going to win them an Oscar.
28:08They're focusing on the scene, not on dealing with managing an insurance claim.
28:11Because Geico is handling that. And they don't even expect a shout out in the acceptance speech.
28:16Geico provides peace of mind and they'll do the same for you.
28:20Maybe it's not an Oscar winning performance. Maybe it's building a career, starting the business you've dreamed about or just taking care of your family.

28:50Yeah. Fitz, quickly, Bucky or Hubbard, who do you like in that one that Jake brought up?
28:55Oh, it's Bucky. Yeah, we know what's a good point.
28:57We knew that. I just had to ask. I wanted to make sure.
29:01But that is what I expected. All right. Another running back one here.
29:05Quinshawn Judkins, speaking of the Browns, versus Travion Henderson, former backfield teammates at Ohio State, former rookies in the same class.
29:11So Judkins or Henderson? Jake, I'll start with you on this one.
29:15Who do you like better this week? I have Henderson a few spots in front of Judkins.
29:20It really comes down to, like, if you said the volume of RB touches and you just told out the names and
29:26were like looking down the list and be like, ooh, that guy's got a lot of touches for his team.
29:32And you're like, oh, it's Quinshawn Judkins on the Browns.
29:35Oh, well, maybe not. So excited about it. And the one thing is, I looked it up earlier this week, the entire
29:41backfield out of Judkins has negative yards before contact.
29:44That includes McLaughlin and his few touches, Raheem Sanders and Dylan Sampson.
29:47Judkins is barely over. I think it's .17 or somewhere around there of yards before contact.
29:52The offensive line is doing no favors. Judkins can't get a lot going.
29:56And Judkins at this point, honestly, for what he looks like, for everybody coming for a Marion Hampton and the fact that
30:02a Marion Hampton is kind of more of a bruiser than an escape artist and doesn't fit 100% that offense.
30:08Look at Judkins so far. He has not been explosive.
30:11He was like volume dependent and the volume isn't really doing much because of the Browns offense.
30:16So all that being said, I had a decent amount of Judkins as my RB three because it's like, oh, the volume is just going to offset it.
30:24But honestly, Judkins equals Woody Marks of last year.
30:27You're talking about inefficiency. That's who he is right now.
30:30He's 2025 Woody Marks. So all that being said, I'm going with Henderson because of the ceiling.
30:35I just think that, yeah, Judkins guarantees me a floor, but the floor is not that enticing that I'm not just going to chase the upside of Henderson.
30:43So they're only two spots apart in expert consensus, right?
30:46I have four spots apart. Yeah, Judkins is two spots ahead at RB 25, Henderson RB 27.
30:51Interestingly, if you look at like all the experts, 81% actually have Judkins ahead of Henderson and half PPR scoring.
30:57So they're very close in ECR, but it's a pretty wide disparity in terms of the number of experts that are picking Judkins over Henderson in their rankings.
31:05Are you going against consensus here fits in agreeing with Jake or do you have Judkins higher?
31:10I'm with consensus on Judkins. Two reasons, just the greater certainty of role that we get with Quinshawn Judkins and the matchup.
31:16Like the Panthers have a lot of the most rushing yards to running back so far, and they just they've been hit or miss.
31:23And it's kind of in the past, like they've been pretty decent, at least respectable against the run when they had Derrick Brown healthy.
31:30And when they didn't have Derrick Brown healthy, they completely fell apart so far this season.
31:35It just hasn't looked good. And I think they're going to be a run funnel all year.
31:40But Judkins, we know this dude is getting his, you know, 12 carries a game.
31:44He's had 12 carries each of the first two weeks, probably 15 touches.
31:48He'll have a few catches too. Granted, he is averaging 2.3 yards per carry and has not had a run of 10 or more yards this season.
31:56But the matchups have been kind of tough. He does not have a tough matchup this week.
32:01I just I want to see a pattern of usage with Henderson and Stevenson to see sort of where we're going to be.
32:08Maybe it's going to oscillate wildly all season. But last week in his first game back, Travion Henderson had 13 more snaps
32:14and 10 more carries than Ramondre Stevenson. But Ramondre lost a fumble, which might have contributed to that.
32:20Maybe this week Travion blows a blocking assignment and Stevenson winds up like getting way more snaps than Henderson.
32:25So is it going to be related to what's going on in the game where these guys get yo-yoed around every week?
32:32Or is it going to be predictable 55-45 or 50-50 as far as the workload split?
32:36That's what I want to find out. But and it's also going to be Henderson is very big play dependent.
32:42So I think he's going to be a hard guy to peg each week.
32:46I'm just now realizing. So we usually do kind of two sort of main running back debates and two sort of main receiver debates.
32:53And then we get into the more rapid fire segment.
32:56I'm just now realizing that all four of those sort of main debates that I included here have a Brown or Panther in the mix of the two.
33:04And I didn't really notice that when I was putting this together.
33:08So we're really heavy on a lot of Browns and Panthers.
33:11I don't think I really do. Maybe I'm just really curious of how to bet this game.
33:16I don't know. I was not really doing it on purpose.
33:19We're almost going to draft like, you know what I'm going to do?
33:23I'm going to smash Browns and Panthers. Yeah, clearly I got to have this game like on the main TV on Sunday.
33:29Like this is the big one for me of the week.
33:33The first wide receiver debate I have here is Jalen Coker of the Panthers against Jameson Williams.
33:38Coker obviously has been a really fun story here to start the season.
33:41Jameson Williams, the opposite. Obviously, we know the talent there, though.
33:45They are also just two spots apart in consensus this week in ECR and half APR scoring wide receiver 23 and wide receiver 25, respectively.
33:52Fitz, I'll start with you on this one. Who do you like better between Coker and J-Mo?
33:57I know which way the wind is going to be blowing on this one due to recency bias, but I'm still going with J-Mo.
34:04And although he is off to a really disappointing start, he's like wide receiver 57 or something like that in PPR scoring.
34:10He's like wide receiver 16 in expected fantasy scoring.
34:13Like he had a couple bad drops in week one.
34:16A couple other balls that were maybe a tad off target that he couldn't squeeze.
34:20Really bad week one for him. And we too not productive either.
34:24But we know what this Detroit passing game is.
34:26It's really good. The whole offense is good. And the offense is going to have to move the ball and score points because the defense is so bad.
34:35Gets a still a great spot for Jameson Williams, who's been terrific the last two years.
34:39Like I see people spite benching him. And I think that is a mistake.
34:43And Coker's fine too. I think they're both well within the start realm for me, but I just like Jameson more.
34:50How wide is the gap in terms of your rankings?
34:52It's like five spots. Five spots. Okay. Yeah. Jake, Jalen Coker, you know, nine targets.
34:57Three spots. Okay. Yeah. I was gonna say Coker, you know, nine targets each of the first two games, eight catches each of the first two games.
35:05Something in the range of about an average of 100 yards per game.
35:09I didn't do that math really quickly. Two touchdowns in the first game done in the second.
35:13It's been a great start here. And he gets at Cleveland and then Detroit next week.
35:18So maybe this start will continue. And Jameson Williams, though, we know typically like if he's had a couple of bad games,
35:25it's almost the good time to bet on a big game from him because you know it's gonna come eventually.
35:30Also, you know, in the back of my mind just to go the other direction, though, and I'm not sure if you're
35:37planning to bring this up or not. You know, in terms of the slow start last year, he was, you know, doing
35:43a lot of his good stuff without Sam Laporta.
35:46And now Laporta's back so that, you know, impacting his usage here.
35:49But at any rate, he's wide receiver 25 in ECR.
35:52Where is he at for you? And do you like him better than Jalen Coker?
35:57I don't know if anybody can see, but like in any of that meme or gif where like I'm silently fuming inside of my head because here's why.
36:05Like, I'm gonna try to do this without yelling.
36:08I wish I never saw that bleeping interview with Drew Petsing because I sat here the entire preseason and everybody was like,
36:14why are you so low on Jameson Williams? Why are you so low on Jameson Williams?
36:19And I was like, because it's Petsing. I think that Laporta is going to come in and ruin Jameson Williams.
36:25I made the joke a few years ago. What did it take for us to get Jameson Williams?
36:30We just took losing Sam Laporta. That's what it took.
36:33You lost Sam Laporta. And it wasn't the fact that I hate Jameson Williams.
36:37It was that I think he's a great wide receiver three.
36:40You have to deal with the volatility. You have to deal with the late career to Sean Jackson.
36:45You're going to get eight great games, six terrible, and then a couple others mixed in the middle.
36:51That's just what's going to happen. But that's why he's a great wide receiver three, not a wide receiver two, which was
36:57why I was so down on him. Unfortunately, I saw the Petsing interview and I saw Petsing say, I came in and learned the Lions playbook.
37:05I didn't bring much of anything of my own.
37:07What would that suggest? Dan Campbell got rid of Morton for not using Jameson Williams the right way, went back to great Jameson Williams.
37:14So you would think that would be the playbook.
37:17I don't know if they swapped them out and Morton was like, ha ha, and switched them on where they weren't looking and gave them the Morton playbook.
37:25Because Jameson Williams is running downfield routes, outs, nines, ins, whatever, posts.
37:29It's all downfield again, which is exactly what Morton was doing when he was ruining them.
37:33And I know and I hope that fits everything you said is correct and right.
37:38But there is only one pair of teammates that ranks top 12 in their team target percentage.
37:43It's Coker and McMillan. They are tied. This is like, there's two people getting pass catches from Bryce Young.
37:48And if Bryce Young is finally clicking and Bryce Young is everything we thought he could be, and Dave Canales in this
37:55offense is working, there are only two people Bryce Young uses.
37:58Ted Aronk Millen and Jalen Coker. I know any given week, Jameson Williams can be left out of the equation, especially if
38:04they're going to keep using this way. I do think he's a good buy low.
38:09That being said, because as Fitz pointed out, people are spite benching him.
38:12He is still inside my top 30. But I am, the wind blows.
38:16I don't know if that was a purposeful pun, but yes, I am getting the blow and continuing to go with Jalen Coker.
38:23Yeah. It was funny when you said. Did you see the fumes come out?
38:27Well, I was going to say, when you said that you were like sitting there fuming and super angry, I was like,
38:33oh no, is he mad at me for like, you know, stepping on whatever he was about to say about James?
38:40No, no, no. He mentioned petcing and I was like, oh, thank goodness.
38:43He didn't mean to me. Stupid petcing interview. They are both ranked in, like I said, inside that top 25 range.
38:50So it's not like. I have them in the same tier.
38:53Yeah. It's like they're buried. I don't hate Jameson Williams.
38:56Sure. I hate Drew Petsy. I hate that interview.
38:58I never saw it. Well, because I didn't include that part.
39:02I moved Jameson Williams inside of my top 20.
39:04And also, by the way, the day that I did that, there was an error in my sheet and everybody was like, what?
39:11Why is Jameson Williams all of a sudden wide receiver nine?
39:14I was like, oh, crap. And I, I fixed it.
39:17But that like brief one hour window, I hope hopefully nobody drafted that one hour window is like, oh, my God.
39:23Jameson Williams is a wide receiver one. Yeah. I couldn't include him in the larger show because he plays tonight fits.
39:29But I am curious because I was looking at this as a head to head option if they didn't play tonight.
39:35Matthew Golden or either of these two guys, how do you have him ranked compared to them?
39:40Just out of curiosity. Behind both. One spot behind Coker.
39:43OK, he's one spot ahead of Coker in consensus.
39:46Inside the top 30, though. I actually go Coker one spot in front of Golden and then three more spots in Jameson Williams.
39:53So like I said, Jameson is not that far off.
39:56It's a good setup for Golden because he's played almost 90 percent of his snaps outside and the Falcons just put their
40:02best outside corner, AJ Terrell on injured reserve. Yeah.
40:05OK. Yeah. I was just curious. Like I said, we don't need to, you know, real quick sidebar.
40:10Like if anybody is going to reach top five status any given week, it is Jameson Williams.
40:15Let me make that clear. Like sure. Sure. Pure weekly upside.
40:18Pure upside. Like no question about it. One more wide receiver debate here.
40:22Shocker. It's a Cleveland Brown. Denzel Boston. We talked a little about a little bit already earlier at the top of the show against Romeo Dobbs.
40:30Who do you guys prefer here? Jake, I'll start with you on this one.
40:34By the way, Dobbs wide receiver 29 in consensus.
40:36Boston is a little bit further down, but I kind of want to project out ahead just given that he's had such a fun start to the season.
40:44So Dobbs or Boston, who do you like? I'll definitely after my rant of Jameson Williams and Petsing give more time on
40:51the floor for a good cohort over here fits because I have Dobbs in front of Boston, but it's not like, oh man, you need to smash that.
40:59This is 100% the right way and anything is like it.
41:02You could argue. I want to say I want to leave the floor for this.
41:07You could argue me into Boston because the question with Drake may I brought this up on the podcast.
41:12I just did mine with Michael Florio NFL slash ESPN, and we talked about this for anybody out there.
41:18The biggest Drake may problem is not just the loss of AJ Brown.
41:22It's the offensive line and the way that teams are treating Drake may is last year and Drake may is terrific under pressure.
41:28So teams this year said we'll stop sending pressure and it's not even so much that it's not just that they're dropping
41:35six into coverage against Drake may without AJ Brown, which is a big factor.
41:39It's that they're still getting pressure only setting for because the offensive line is such an issue.
41:44So you've got Drake may under pressure, which normally is one of the best, but it's different when you're under pressure and
41:50you have six pass rushers coming and an exposable defense.
41:53It's a lot different when there's only four getting your face and you still have six guys dropping into coverage.
41:59That's what's killing Drake may. So all that being said, that's why I don't have a big problem.
42:04If Fitz wants to spend his time arguing for Boston, you could probably talk me into it.
42:09It's like every game that Drake may is playing right now is the chiefs against the Eagles in the Super Bowl where
42:16the Eagles like did blitz once and still had a 50%.
42:19Pressure rate or whatever the exact numbers were. Yeah, that's what it feels like.
42:23And it's pretty much impossible to play quarterback in that scenario.
42:26Fitz, we talked about Boston in the wide or assuming the waiver wire segment.
42:30So I'm assuming you have him higher. I haven't checked your updated rankings, but you were so high on Boston.
42:36I see ahead of Dobbs for you. He is.
42:39Yeah, I read my love letter to David Boston already with Dobbs.
42:42I mean, I don't want you to get reamed in the comments.
42:46Oh, Denzel Boston. I said, David Boston. Yikes. So hopefully, hopefully Denzel Boston does not start hitting the weights like that.
42:52Yeah, Romeo Dobbs, the first full game without A.J.
42:55Brown and he had four targets. And one of those targets did result in a 63 yard catch, which made his day against the Steelers.
43:02But I just, we know May is going to spread the wealth.
43:05And like Jake made the point about how teams are defending Drake May.
43:09I want to see Drake May start running. Like it's the perfect setup for him to start running and like showing.
43:15He was such an aggressive runner in college. I want to see more of that.
43:20But yeah, I just, I'm not that into Dobbs and just think he's part of an ensemble cast until A.J.
43:26Brown comes back and then he's, you know, a stage hand.
43:29Yeah. So take the Browns and the points. They're going to win out, right?
43:33Okay. Do you think it'll be a high score game?
43:36The total is like 42. No, no, no. It'll be a rock fight.
43:40Low scoring. It's the end of Bryce Young. You heard it.

43:57Sorry. My dog came up to try to tell me something while I was reading that.
44:02Let's go to the rapid fire start, sit decisions here.
44:05Another running back one for you guys. Rashad white or Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt.
44:08A couple of backfield mates here in this game against Seattle.
44:12If it's starting with you, white or Krosky Merritt.
44:14Oh, this one for people who tried to handcuff a backfield that should not be handcuffed because they both play complimentary roles.
44:21So if you made this mistake this week, I would tell you to go with Rashad white, because the one thing the
44:27Seahawks don't do spectacularly on defense is cover running backs in the passing game.
44:31Jake, I see your reaction here. You're on, you're on board with this.
44:35A hundred percent. Also, because if it goes as expected, they're going to be passing, trying to play catch up.
44:41And that's not Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt. That's Rashad white.
44:44So you have two for two on those arguments.
44:46This is against consensus for both of you. Bill is RB 33 and white is RB 37.
44:51So consensus says, as Krosky Merritt higher. How about at wide receiver Chris Godwin?
44:55You talked a little bit about them going up against that Vikings defense.
44:59Jake, excuse me. Godwin or Michael Wilson this week.
45:02I'm going Michael Wilson. It's just Godwin is I do.
45:05I want to guarantee I get some points. Cool.
45:07We'll go with Chris Godwin. But at this point, like I'm going for the upside of Michael Wilson.
45:13And the fact that I'm assuming that the Jacoby percent is healthier.
45:16It sounded like he practiced almost in full yesterday.
45:19So I don't know what was going on with the leg.
45:22And I know the 49ers are still a worrisome matchup to face, but I'm going for the upside of Michael Wilson, especially
45:28as we are seeing the continued decline of any hope for Marvin Harrison.
45:32Fitz, Michael Wilson wide receiver 35. Chris Godwin wide receiver 37.
45:35Who do you prefer? I'm like one spot above consensus on Godwin and well below consensus on Michael Wilson.
45:41Like the Cardinals did not have a completion of 10 yards or more last week against Seattle.
45:46And I know Seattle has the best pass defense.
45:48The 49ers defense is good, too, though. I know.
45:51And by the way, that that hadn't happened since it was the strike season and they were playing with replacement players that
45:58a team had not had a completion of 10 or more yards in a game.
46:02And by the way, the team that did that in the strike season won the game with 11 passing yards here nor there.
46:09Yeah, I don't I don't want either of the Cardinals receivers in this game.
46:13Well, I was going to ask the floor. The floor is Godwin.
46:16That's why I said if you don't want to risk the zero.
46:20I am I didn't I don't have him like as a head to head here, but just out of curiosity, like straight up.
46:26Where are you guys ranking Marvin Harrison Jr. Like how buried is he in the rankings at this point for for either of you?
46:34Uh, do do do do do do do like like the 48 and that feels too high.
46:38Do you love Marvin Harrison? You are above consensus.
46:41That's 59. Okay, you're below. He's right in the middle.
46:44He's 54 in ECR. He's down by Shahid and Keon Coleman for me.
46:48That's and I hell no DJ more. I'll just move up Keon Coleman.
46:52This is nothing. Let's do some flexes here. I wanted to get one with some big names.
46:57How about George Pickens off to a slow start or DeAndre Swift with no Caleb Williams in all likelihood as his quarterback.
47:03Uh, Jake, I'll start with you here. Who do you prefer Pickens or Swift?
47:07Man, I hope they're telling us the truth that we don't have to worry about that turf because if not, I'm taking
47:14Pickens like I like Swift and he's he won't leave you stranded.
47:17That's let's be honest, even with a badgent or if it's case Keenum, whoever it might be DeAndre Swift is going to guarantee you production.
47:24And that's why sometimes these running backs versus wide receivers, you have to decide, can you risk it or do you need the ceiling?
47:31Anybody needs the ceiling. I think this is Pickens get right game.
47:35I think Pickens what he's been doing so far and there have been opportunities that have been missed.
47:40You know, there's one especially against the Giants. The Giants, like I said, that's why I brought up the Adams thing.
47:46They started tackling Pickens and Lamb in the fourth quarter, just like before the ball could even get to them.
47:52So Pickens, if he had a decent week one, I don't think people would be as concerned.
47:57Um, going against the Ravens and what we hope is a shootout again.
48:01We hope that they're saying this is true. They've already said the turf's not going to be an issue.
48:06Still could be because we've seen it before. Um, I'm going George Pickens slightly over Swift.
48:11It is the much riskier outcome though. Yeah, there was, you know, I'm not even just nervous about the game.
48:17I'm nervous about injuries on that field. Like I obviously, like I said, Ravens fan, I'm terrified of that.
48:23Um, there are so many big name fantasy guys hitting this Cowboys Ravens matchup that it, I'm just gonna be nervous the entire game.
48:30I mean, I talked about it like the old commanders turf from like two years ago.
48:34That was just blowing legs left and right. There were rumors earlier this week that, oh, they might even need to consider moving this game.
48:42I saw that some on Ravens Twitter from some pretty well connected people.
48:45That doesn't seem to be the case. Obviously they're flying to Brazil tonight.
48:49So you, that would have decision would have had to be made already.
48:53But you know, I was listening to like Nina Kimes is doing her preview of this game just this morning.
48:59That episode dropped and she was, yeah, I got like a message from some boots on the ground reporting in Brazil from
49:05guys down there saying this field is not in good shape.
49:08So like, we'll find out tomorrow. I'm quite nervous about it.
49:12Um, I'm hoping it'll be fine. I'm hoping I'm just being overly worried about it.
49:16But, um, yeah, I am nervous there. Uh, for you, Fitz, Pickens or Swift, who do you prefer this week?
49:22I'm going with Pickens too. I just kind of want to avoid the offensive environment.
49:26Uh, like I'm in most leagues I'm starting Swift, but this is the kind of flex question you might face if you're in a 10 team league.
49:34And I would rather go with Pickens here, even though Pickens has yet to really erupt.
49:39But I will say this. Um, if the field is a skating rink, like the one, uh, for the Packers Eagles game
49:45was in Brazil a couple of years ago, there were some big plays in the passing game.
49:50That's true. That Eagles Packers game. Like that was much harder for defenders than it was for off the backpedaling.
49:56Yeah, you're right. Yeah. They were, they were trying to react to ball carriers, like making cuts and like, they would just lose their balance on that turf.
50:04So, um, we'll see, but yeah, fingers crossed. No one gets hurt.
50:08Yes. The injuries is the biggest, biggest concern for me.
50:11I'm just every, every running back carry is going to be like this.
50:15I just, I know. Um, by the way, just on the, on Swift against the Eagles, like I know, obviously it's different
50:21when you don't have your quarterback in there, but he and Monongai both torched this Eagles rush defense last year.
50:27They, I think it was, they each have over like 120 yards.
50:30Oh, the black Friday game. Yes. And a touchdown.
50:33So, um, you know, yeah, but this, this will be a revenge game for the Eagles.
50:38They remember that game and I don't think they're going to get trampled like they did on black Friday.
50:43Yeah. Um, another flex one. How about Jalen Warren, Noriko Dowdle, uh, in that backfield or she rice going, uh, going this
50:50week against the dolphins fits starting with you on this one, Warren or rice.
50:54I've got to go with Warren getting like the full backfield share for the most part.
50:58I mean, maybe some relief carries by other guys, but like, especially with check down artist, Aaron Rogers, like this could be a big Warren game.
51:06Jake. Yeah. I think that if we definitively know, I thought it was still up in the air on doubt.
51:12Oh, that he might. Is he definitively out? I just, I could have missed that.
51:16Uh, I'll double check. See if I can find anything.
51:19If he plays, would you play Rishi rice? I would.
51:22And that's what you would play rice anyway. No, I would play rice with it.
51:26Like, I think it's a close toss up with a doubt.
51:30Um, being in the conversation. Yeah. So like I would take Warren because that's what we want is 50.
51:35Even if it's not 20, if it's 15 plus touches, I'm taking Warren and Rishi rise being outside more has been offset
51:42by the fact that the targets have decreased. Like he's getting deeper a dot, but he's getting also fewer targets.
51:48Cause those are the, where these, this is the resurgent of Travis Kelsey.
51:51This is why Travis Kelsey is working and it's a late, late career bounce back.
51:56Um, but if there is no doubt, I would play Warren.
51:59It's a doubt. It would make me lean towards rice.
52:02And like the, the scammy screen game is disappeared for Rishi rice.
52:05I think they've thrown more screens to Xavier worthy this season than they have to rise and more to, uh, Kenneth Walker.
52:12So like it's the usage for Rishi rice is just completely different this year.
52:16Like it's, he's basically a different player than he has been the last couple of years.
52:21I think worthy does have more targets on the season than rice.
52:24Uh, like more screen targets, which is kind of crazy.
52:27Um, not official on Rico yet. Uh, Jake, you're right about that.
52:30He was in a boot yesterday at practice. So I'm kind of operating as if he's not going to be, but you are.
52:37Somebody keep an eye on. Yeah. Uh, another flex one here.
52:40How about two teammates? Parker Washington off to a great start this season, rewarding those managers who bought into the hype or
52:47Bay shell toot in this game against the Patriots.
52:49Again, a couple of Jags here. Jags is a Jaguars, not just the guys.
52:54Um, yeah. Jake, who do you prefer between Washington and tootin?
52:57Both find a way to start both of them because these are two great options.
53:01And like the big thing is tootin's getting the lead work that everybody wanted to be like 60% range is getting goal line carry.
53:08So I know that Rodriguez is involved, but not enough to me to be afraid of tootin.
53:13I, but I want to find a way to play both of them.
53:17Like I want to find a way. Um, if I'm forced, I would take tootin by a hair, but I mean, you could argue the other way.
53:25Like I can go both ways on this one.
53:27Like, it's just that they're both great options. So why you got to pull up my heartstrings here?
53:33I know they're both great options, but you know, this is one of those things where given where they were drafted, you
53:39might have a couple of other receivers that you feel like you have to start.
53:44And so, you know, Washington is forced into the flex or same running back.
53:48So I wanted to throw it out there as a possibility.
53:51Uh, Fitz, what do you think? Uh, Washington or tootin?
53:54I'm, I'm a little stunned that Jake said tootin here.
53:57I feel like this is, you're asking me if I'd rather start Jackson Smith and Jake Burjardarian price.
54:02And maybe Jake would say price on that one too, since he's his flag plant.
54:06But, um, yeah, I, for me it's Parker Washington and not close.
54:10Okay. Like Parker Washington is a star. He is a star.
54:13So those are two players that you definitely wanted to start, uh, both Jake.
54:17Maybe I can get you to want to start neither with this one.
54:21How about Carnell Tate or Mark Andrews? Who would you rather start flex next answer?
54:25No, I'll take like, you know, biggie, give me one last chance here with Carnell Tate, like Carnell Tate against there's nobody in the secondary for the giants.
54:34Uh, maybe this is the game. It finally starts to click, but where's the upside of Mark Andrews?
54:39I'm just not like, again, he had all the opportunities last week and he was still just Mark Andrews.
54:44And I know that hurts to say to you, Warren, buddy, like, it's just, it's a, and it's a wide receiver versus a tight end.
54:52Like Carnell Tate three plays against the giants could have 80 yards in a touchdown.
54:56Like, it's just the giant secondary is that piss poor right now.
55:00So I will take the chance. Even if I get a zero, what am I missing?
55:04I'm going to lose out on seven points for Mark Andrews.
55:07If the seven points cost your matchup, I'm sorry, but I'm just taking the chance on Carnell Tate.
55:13Yeah. We don't often put tight ends into the, this flex segment, but I wanted to do it intentionally because Carnell Tate
55:19has been so bad in the, the Titans offensive environment has been such a struggle that I wanted to kind of put
55:26them up against a tight end there. Yeah. I feel like Mark Andrews is good.
55:30Every game this season, he's going to get like something between four and six catches for something like 50 yards.
55:36That's what he's at 49 yards each of the first two games this season.
55:40And it's just, does he get you a touchdown or not?
55:43Like, it's going to be like, I think a lot of like, okay, we'll, we'll throw to him like nine yards down
55:50the field, try to move the chains. And that's it.
55:53I just, I'm not seeing any other usage there in these Ravens games.
55:56Fitz, who do you prefer Mark Andrews, a tight end or Carnell Tate, a wide receiver in your flex spot?
56:02I just checked my flex rankings thinking that if I had Andrews ahead of Tate, I would have to change that after
56:09Jake had so kindly spotlighted the incompetence of the giant secondary.
56:12Um, but I did have Tate ranked higher. So yeah.
56:15Uh, how about a quarterback, uh, Drake Maye, who obviously very big name at the position, one of the highest ranked guys
56:21going into this season, but has been off to a very slow start or Tyler Shuck, who was ranked a lot lower
56:28in draft season, but it's been very good. That has had two top eight finishes so far this season.
56:33Um, and it's looked pretty good doing it outside of that first half against Detroit, by the way, Drake may has not
56:40finished higher than QB 23 in his first two games this season.
56:43He gets Jacksonville. Shuck gets the Raiders fits. Who do you prefer a quarterback?
56:47I did like a 75 minute Q and a on our discord, uh, last night.
56:52And I got this question like seven times. Oh, that actually, I love hearing that.
56:56Cause sometimes I throw out these questions and I'm like, does anybody actually have to make this decision?
57:01And so I'm really glad that a lot of people, a lot of people are facing this decision.
57:06And I told them to play Drake may like he's, I think he's going to figure it out.
57:12I mean, what Jake was saying about the way he is being played right now.
57:16Um, yeah, but I, I have complete confidence in Drake may to solve the puzzle and he's just a better player than Tyler shock is.
57:23And I know Tyler shock is leading the NFL in passing yardage.
57:27Look, he threw for over 400 yards against a just calamitous Detroit lions past defense in a game where the saints fell behind 21, nothing.
57:34And thus Tyler shock through, uh, 56 passes. Like that was largely related to game script.
57:39Yeah. They are, they are back to back by the way, in ECR.
57:43I forget if I actually said that. Um, yeah, Jake, I mean, Chuck has given you something of a floor, even dating
57:49back to week 13 of last season. I don't think he's finished lower than QB 16 in that stretch, but, uh, you
57:56know, facing some easy defenses and certain game scripts like Fitz is laying out.
58:00Who do you like better this week? Again, they are back to back in ECR.
58:04Yeah. I don't know if anybody saw me, but I actually went, I mouthed.
58:08Wow. When Fitz said it, uh, I have a large gap over shook and I'm, I'm, I'm not worried.
58:14I'm going to get shook. It's really comes down to is that this is they're using them.
58:19Like Jalen hurts. He's running and getting tush pushed and getting the goal line carries.
58:23And I know that's not something that you want to stake your claim to too often, but I mean, I would go
58:29shook over Lawrence on the other side of the ball in this game.
58:33I think this is going to be more of a defensive struggle than people think.
58:38I think the Jaguars defense is exactly the problem that Drake may is facing so far.
58:42Is that a good secondary that's going to be able to get pressure without sending extra rushers.
58:47So I hope I'm wrong because I told people not to drop Drake may.
58:51He is one of my bylaws. It's going to get better.
58:55Um, I don't think what Fitz said it's only on Drake may.
58:58I think part of it is going to be the play calling too.
59:02I don't know if I trust the Patriots play calling to get it right yet because they like we've seen teams adapt
59:08in games, let alone two weeks and still haven't changed things.
59:12And including what you said is Drake may needs to run more.
59:15Well, point that out to him. Like it's been open in front of him because people are dropping six and coverage.
59:21So all that being said, I like I have shook over Trevor Lawrence.
59:25I am over Jordan Love. I have shook inside my top 10.
59:29I don't have Drake may inside my top 14.
59:31Okay. Yeah. Cool. In the, uh, fantasy pros weekly accuracy rankings right now, I'm 45th, but I'm 156th in quarterback rankings.
59:37Listen to Jake. No, no, no. To be fair, because this is where it's going to go wrong.
59:43I'm going to bring this up. Like I don't have, you can't see mine.
59:47Everybody knows that because the athletic, you know, you pay for the paywall, but you can still find out like where I finished.
59:53If you dig hard enough, like I was second or third in quarterback last week.
59:58So now it's going to go wrong. It's going to flip.
60:01Fitz is going to finish top five and it's all going to hinge on the shook.
60:06May rankings. It's going to go the opposite direction.
60:08I'm going to be, I'm going to be 173rd.
60:11Fitz, what's a shook. What's, what's, what's raising your, your ranking?
60:14If not quarterback, are you just like crushing it in the kicker rankings each week?
60:19No, no, that was specific. No, that was specifically quarterback.
60:21That's what I was saying. Last week. I got top, top 20 running backs, top 20 tight ends doing okay with wide receivers.
60:28I've been miserable in defenses so far. So don't listen to me about defenses.
60:32Well, let's go to the tight ends. See how you guys do on this one.
60:37How about Travis Kelsey or Sam Laporta? Both top six options this week, but I think a lot of people took Laporta as a starter.
60:44Did you at least watch Friends? Did you watch Friends one?
60:47I've seen, so I can do this and you can get that reference.
60:51Yes. Okay. Thank you. I see Friends. I am a millennial.
60:54I have seen Friends. So who do you prefer then, Jake?
60:57I have like back to back. Like, I am so excited.
61:01Like, it's crazy to say, like I brought up earlier, like I'm excited for the Kelsey resurgence.
61:06Then it's because the Chiefs are using them differently.
61:08They gave him that middle of the field. Very few.
61:11I don't think of any of his targets were over 10 yards in that game because they're just saying, you take the middle of the field.
61:19We're sending Rasheed Rice outside. That all being said, why I did that is because you're also bringing up the pain of the Laporta thing.
61:26And in Laporta against the Jets, I have one spot.
61:29I have them back to back, Laporta, Kelsey. And I would actually flip that in a full PPR to Kelsey over Laporta.
61:35But they're that close. I think both are inside the top eight, which I don't think I would have ever said about Kelsey going into this season.
61:43If we would have known that they were going to shift to this kind of offensive style, 100%.
61:49But yeah, I don't think we would ever be, at least me, I didn't think I would be talking about Kelsey as
61:55a top eight tight end ever again. Fitz, what do you think?
61:59Kelsey's looking like prime Travis Kelsey. The Chiefs offense is humming.
62:02And I talked about what a disaster zone, the Lions pass defense was.
62:06The Dolphins pass defense is worse. Like, I would never sit a tight end against the Miami Dolphins.
62:11Yeah. We'll wrap things up with the touchdown calls contest.
62:14Fitz, you are on running back this week. And I am, I believe, two for two so far.
62:19Yeah. Are you guys both two for two? Yeah, we're both for two for two.
62:23I mean, technically, I'm three for two because I told you they'd even take the double touchdown for Devontae Adams.
62:29I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I believe I am 0 for two.
62:33So I am really dragging us down here. Listen, I tried a tight end in week one.
62:38That's a hard one to get right. Well done, Fitz, to actually get a tight end right.
62:43And then Aaron Jones gets hurt last week was my running back.
62:46So those are my excuses that I'll throw out there.
62:49That was unfortunate. So I'm going to go with David Montgomery this week.
62:53It's been kind of a sluggish start for him.
62:56But the Indy run defense is terrible. And I want to pick on that matchup.
63:00I have wide receiver this week. I'm going Ted Aroa McMillan.
63:03Doesn't have one yet this season, but the offense has been humming.
63:07He just feels like a player that should be really good at catching touchdowns, honestly.
63:11Not the way he's used always, but the way he plays.
63:15And I'm kind of planting a flag on, I think, even at home, kind of like Jake was talking about.
63:20I'm not scared of this Cleveland defense. And I think he gets his first of the season here in week three.
63:27So David Montgomery, Ted Aroa McMillan. Who is the tight end, Jake?
63:30I guess I also need to flip my ranks here because my tight end call is Travis Kelsey for three.
63:36We're going for three. No, I'm just kidding. Travis Kelsey.
63:39Fitz brought it up. Why the other part of like, that's the other thing is like the Laporte versus Kelsey is such a tough one to make.
63:47But I guess, you know what? I'll just call Kelsey straight across the board on this because he's my touchdown call.
63:53I might as well stick with it. So there you go.
63:56Montgomery at running back. McMillan at receiver. Travis Kelsey at tight end.
64:00Those are touchdown calls. If you think you can nail this week's touchdowns, join our free touchdown calls contest on Pick Sheet.
64:06Pick a running back, receiver, tight end, and bonus flex with the flex being worth double.
