0:00This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human. Watches women's sports on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
0:06Be able to beat the robots. That's the big key and that's what we're looking at doing.
0:11We've got a full PPR mock draft. That's what we've got in store for you guys.
0:15Hang out with us as we battle through all of these bots here, Andrew Erickson.
0:19That is the plan here. And by the way, for the draft order, which we're going to put up in a second,
0:26you guys were all hugging up on me like you needed human contact for a really cold winter and fire.
0:31You guys were all... I picked 12 and you guys all smushed up against me.
0:35D-Bro and Sealy decided to have a little personal space.
0:38You didn't, Erickson. You picked the 11th spot. So, yeah, we're going to be hugged up against each other.
0:43What was the plan about being so close to me?
0:46Well, I wanted to get more close with my extra point partner from the regular season last year.
0:51And the fact that we haven't been able to do that many shows so far this offseason, every time we were supposed
0:57to or scheduled to do a show, I would always get booted for some reason, whether, you know, they cut me for
1:03a certain show or I had something else going on or my internet wasn't working.
1:08The universe was saying, no, Welsh and Erickson cannot have a show together.
1:11It's not going to happen. Well, I made sure that, no, this is going to be a Welsh and Erickson special mock draft episode.
1:18All right, put my hand. Which direction do I go?
1:21Here's my hand. Hold my hand. Hold my hand here, Erickson.
1:24I don't know if we're on the list. I really thought you were going to go with the police here.
1:29Like you could just don't stand so close to me.
1:32Oh, no, I'm not that smart and that good of a reference.
1:35I just wanted to know why we were huddled up so close together.
1:39I feel like there's some kind of HR alert that should have gone out with the conversation thus far.
1:44But, you know, I digress. That's why it's going to be mock draft time.
1:48We're going to jump into it. Mr. Jake Seeley, let me ask you real quick.
1:52This mock draft is single quarterback, two quarterback, two wide receiver and a tight end with a flex.
1:57Clearly, we're not going to do kicker because you're here, but also like, why would we do kicker and defense in these mock drafts?
2:04Your quick little strategery that you're going to put towards a two wide receiver mock instead of it.
2:09I think the last one we did was like a three wide.
2:12So what changes for you? Running backs jump about half to a full round more so in tiers two, three and four than anything.
2:19Once you get later, I'm still going for the most upside in the flex spot, but I will lean towards.
2:25I mean, we just did our recent show with you and me and Debro and talked about getting possibly two running backs
2:31in the first three rounds as in ideally, but not always the case.
2:34This is one where like I kind of want to make sure I come out of the first three rounds with two
2:40running backs just because that close off on the wide receiver happens so quick.
2:44Debro, do you agree? Do you think there's like an advantage because it's only two wide outs?
2:49You could have two absolutely incredible banger starters that someone else might not have.
2:53Or do you think we really need to pay close attention to the running backs and make sure because, you know, less
2:59wide receivers is going to create a little bit more depth there.
3:02Do you think the running back depth is going to be more important or if you're yeah, yes, I agree with fewer.
3:09But yes, I think it pushes up the running backs and the importance with it.
3:13Like if you want to go with more of like a hero wide receiver build, I think that's also at a very
3:19applicable here where you can just say I'm getting my stud wide receiver one and then I'm going to kind of mix
3:25and match wide receiver two throughout the season. So there's a few different ways to approach it, but it does push running back up the board for me.
3:33Let's see how it goes. That's what we're going to be doing.
3:36We have got the draft simulator up. We've got one of our mock drafts where it is us versus the system.
3:42The robots are powered by ECR by the expert consensus ranks.
3:45I love that. Erickson loves my robots thing that although I wish we could have like little different robot faces.
3:51We could go again, you know, like create a player in Madden where like over time it's like some fake player.
3:56You're like, oh, there's Jordan Manning. And then like you really start to love him.
4:01Let's have that for names for some of the robots so we could be like, you know, that little robot's a little bit of a problem.
4:08But beside the point, we're going to be drafting up against them.
4:11We've got ECR powering it. We're also going to get the insights after the fact.
4:15And that should give us a nice whole story to what this draft is going to look like.
4:20You guys can obviously comment below on how you think these drafts are put together.
4:24But you guys also can take a part in these mock drafts by using the draft simulator.
4:29Fantasypros.com slash draft wizard. Just like you're going to be seeing today, our multi-user drafts allow you to practice quick and fun
4:35mock drafts against both real and CPU opponents using the same easy to use interface as the draft simulator.
4:41Join a public mock draft or you can create a private one for you and your friends over at fantasypros.com slash draft wizard.
4:47But I would also point out if you don't have a lot of friends that want to do the mock drafting, you want to hide it from them.
4:55That's OK. You can go and you can simulate all the different spots and you can do these mock drafts in minutes.
5:01You can put them together. So fantasypros.com slash draft wizard.
5:04Get down with it as we are about to get down with it.
5:07And this mock draft, nobody is in the one or two spot.
5:11I believe Sealy, did you jump into the three spot?
5:13Yeah, because I had nine. But then, like I said, Andrew came in saddling all up in between us.
5:19And I was like, yeah, you know, I need some space over here.
5:22A little personal space for Sealy there. Debro, you moved into the middle.
5:26Where are you at? I forget. Are you at six or seven?
5:29I was and have been at the 106. I decided I need 10 feet of space from everybody.
5:34All right. So that's why I had an easy go right for three.
5:38Like he was at six. I was at nine.
5:40You were at 12. I mean, it's sitting right there.
5:43I didn't want to take. No, because if it's a mock draft, I want to try to challenge myself.
5:48I didn't want to take the layup with three because I just take Jamar Chase, who's usually there at three.
5:54Didn't want the layup pick. I wanted to practice a little bit more while picking at the end.
5:59It's PPR. Yeah, and I can appreciate it. This is full PPR.
6:02Jamar wanted to be the awkward person to go like wedge himself in between two people on the couch instead of taking the open space.
6:09Hey, listen, that's my buddy. I'm down. We are going to be drafting together and sniping together.
6:14All right. We got the draft kicked off on the draft wizard.
6:17Jamar Chase does go one overall in this full PPR.
6:20Jamir Gibbs is two. And Jake, you are up.
6:23We're having way too much fun already at the start.
6:25There's too much chaos. But you are drafting three.
6:28By the way, I had an idea for everybody while you're deciding that I was going to have some punishment for this draft.
6:34Whoever finished worse. So just based on our draft positions or maybe there's a theoretical hate for me, I would love to
6:41see who do you guys think pre in the comments.
6:43How is this going to draft order? How is the fantasy pro system going to rank us at the end?
6:49And you can do your ranks and let's see what it is.
6:52But Celia, you're up here with the three spot and you took Puka Nakua.
6:56So talk to us about it. Talk about the fact that only Christian McCaffrey had more fancy points per game in PPR.
7:02So I went with the number one wide receiver.
7:05Nothing changed from last year that we assume, except again, referencing the show that UI and Debro did is that there's potential for more here.
7:12Like if it just replicates last year, but gets a little bit of a touchdown variance in his direction where maybe Devontae
7:18Adams doesn't catch one every other pass, then there's even upside for more.
7:21Like as I think you said this, Debro, he could potentially break fantasy if he gets just five more touchdowns.
7:27Yeah. And Debro is up about 10 seconds here.
7:29We had we had B. John Robinson at four, Jackson Smith in Jigpa.
7:33And Debro, you went with my boy Christian McCaffrey at the six spot.
7:37Yeah. Again, like we talked about previous shows, like I think the CMC bet is just a binary decision.
7:42Does he stay healthy or not? If he stays healthy, he's a top two running back.
7:46If not, then my team is screwed. So we shall see how it plays out.
7:51It's tough. It's tough, too, with McCaffrey because you want to take him higher on the reception side.
7:56But it's like, can you really take him over JSN or obviously B.
7:59John falling? Here's an interesting thing. It's just it's hard.
8:02So it's like six is a fantastic spot. It went Amano St.
8:05Brown, CeeDee Lamb, Jonathan Taylor, Jenty Erickson with James Cook at the 11 spot.
8:09Oh, you suck, Erickson. Imagine if James Cook catches passes in 2026 after leading the league in rushing last year and then
8:15leading the league in rushing touchdowns the year before.
8:18Just takes another step forward. James Cook in his prime.
8:21Bill's offense. Let's go. Imagine if he doesn't. He caught over 30.
8:24It was number six in fancy points per game in PBR.
8:27Like, it's not the end of the world. What did I say on my like the perfect draft episode, guys?
8:33I'd literally like Eric to all of Erickson's points.
8:35Like, this is why I'm all in on James Cook and why Erickson's just out for pain right now, apparently.
8:41I'm up on the wheel here and it's very tempting and full PPR, but only the two wideouts have screwed me up
8:47because I feel like I wanted to just double tap like a Jefferson London or a Jefferson AJ Brown.
8:52But I'm really worried about what the running backs look like.
8:55And in a full PPR, I'm staring at both Devon Achan and Chase Brown.
8:59I think I think I'm going to have to tab Devon Achan as the pick here.
9:03So Devon Achan and Jefferson for the PPR side.
9:06So, Erickson, this is coming back to you. Did you at all have any little plan in your brain that you took
9:12James Cook and you thought I was going to do something really stupid and freak out and then you were going to have someone come back to you?
9:20What were you hoping was going to come back?
9:22I knew no matter what was going to happen, you were going to let AJ Brown fall in my lap.
9:28Because you are right. So because we're boys. I did it just because we're boys, not because it's too wide out.
9:34You're 100 percent right, Erickson. It's because we're boys.
9:36So you got AJ Brown. All right. I mean, a lot of people talk in AJ Brown first round pick.
9:42So, I mean, I don't know what we're going to get out of you here outside of all this spewing of Patriot stuff.
9:48But talk to us about AJ Brown as an easy pick there.
9:52I think I said it on a perfect draft show or must have player targets.
9:56I just can't fathom watching the Patriots every single week and not having AJ Brown on my fantasy team or on a lot of my fantasy teams.
10:03Because I think that his skill set meshes so well with what Drake May does well throwing the ball down the field.
10:09Patriots need an alpha wide receiver. Someone that can also create more opportunities in the red zone.
10:14I think it's just a match made in heaven.
10:17And I think that AJ Brown still has one or two elite seasons left in him.
10:21I think we're going to see one this year.
10:24Drake London, Nico Collins, Amarian Hampton, Rasheed Rice, and then T-Pro.
10:27Chase Brown fell back down to you in the second.
10:29I almost took him there. Like, that's not fair.
10:32That is stupid. So you got to be. There's an analogy of pigs and stuff in slop, but I won't say it.
10:38You just got to be very happy right now.
10:41I am. I had Amarian Hampton and Chase Brown like at the top of my queue.
10:45And so I was very happy to get Chase Brown because, dude, if he just scores like has an outlier season and
10:51touchdowns where he's only scored 11 total touchdowns in each of the past two seasons.
10:55If that happens, Chase Brown is like a top three to five running back this year.
11:00It's easy. I'm so stupid that that happened. We then had Brock Bowers go to team five.
11:04Ken Walker. Sealy, you took Trey McBride at the 210 spot.
11:08We had Barkley, Henry, and the third round kick back up with Pickens Olave and Kyron.
11:12So you went with McBride, Kyron pick. Like very funny, too, because we did that whole pick show and you were talking
11:18about Kyron as I think it was your third round must have.
11:21And you actually you did it. So talk to us about those two picks.
11:25I really hate taking tight ends in the second round.
11:28But for all intents and purposes, near the end of the second, could argue an early third.
11:33I really hate the fact that the two running backs I was hoping to make it back to me, one being Barkley
11:39and one being Henry, didn't have it happen. But I mean, at the same time, Nakua and Trey McBride, I just walked
11:45out of the first two rounds with 250 receptions.
11:48So I can live with it. I get the leg up at tight end.
11:51And then Kyron Williams. I thought about Jeremiah Love for a little while there.
11:55But again, Kyron Williams was still top 10 in fantasy points per game and PPR.
12:00It was better in the second half of the season when he was losing 40 percent of the touches to Blake Corham.
12:06So I actually think it's not the worst pick to have in the third round.
12:10It was a little bit of reach. I'd rather have Kyron at the end of the third in a full PPR.
12:16Devonta Smith, Zay Flowers. Things are really opening up in this mock draft, by the way.
12:20And then Debro, you also stuck to them. If you guys want to go see the show that we did, where I'm
12:26asking these guys what the perfect drafts are. Sometimes we put these shows together and maybe people kind of fall apart on what they're really doing to value.
12:34You guys are literally taking the picks that you talked about.
12:37But Debro, you did talk about this guy's a fourth round pick.
12:40So hit us. You took Colson Loveland. You took the third tight end off the board.
12:45I think, you know, talking about leaning into other positions with only two wide receivers that you have to start.
12:50So Colson Loveland, I talked about him on that show and I fully believe it.
12:55Like I said that I think he's going to be a third round pick when it's all said and done.
13:00We're in the heated draft season. And I think Colson Loveland is going to compete with Brock Bowers to be the tight
13:06end one overall and be a guy that can help define leagues this year.
13:10So getting him in the third round and going running back, running back, tight end and punting wide receiver.
13:15We'll see how it works out. But feeling pretty good so far.
13:19Jordan Love went seven in the third round, followed by Terrell.
13:22What did I say? Jordan. Jordan. Jordan. Jordan Love.
13:24What is Fitzy in here? What is Fitzy doing?
13:27I'm sorry. What do the bots know about Jordan Love?
13:30Are the Packers going to let him throw this year?
13:32Is that what's happening? We could also have we could have a chaos bot that just comes in and just does crazy stuff like everybody has that.
13:40Defense round three. I love this idea. Chaos bot.
13:42Jeremiah Love. Not Jordan. Sorry. Terrell McMillan. Josh Allen.
13:45Imagine Jordan Love goes before Josh Allen. DJ Moore.
13:47And then Erickson. I definitely gave a little like when you did this because you took a Mech Egbuka right in front of me.
13:54Definitely was in my wheelhouse of players I was looking at.
13:57So talk to me about that 311 pick of Egbuka.
14:00I feel like that's actually one of the highest that I've seen.
14:03I just have back to back. I have the wheel pick here.
14:07So talk about Egbuka. You got to pay the premium price to get a player that I feel really confident is going to take a second year leap.
14:14We saw a half year breakout first half of his rookie season and then it got all derailed because of injuries.
14:20He was playing through an injury. Baker Mayfield was hurt.
14:23The Buccaneers offensive line was all banged up. But now without Mike Evans, no more as part of the Buccaneers offense.
14:29Chris Godwin getting a little bit older coming off another injury.
14:32Maybe he's healthy. Maybe he eats into Egbuka's target share a little bit more.
14:36But I'm buying the first half of his rookie season as Egbuka can be a superstar and getting him at the 3-4 turn.
14:42Yeah, it feels a little pricey. But if he does what he did in the first half of last year, that's going to pay off.
14:49Real quick heat check. Sealy, how are you feeling about the three?
14:53Because this is where the draft is really going to start.
14:56Like, are you comfortable where you're at? Are you doing something that feels a little, like, off?
15:00Like, what's your heat level on where you're at going into the fourth round?
15:04No, I hate it. That's why I like to say.
15:07Andrew was like, oh, you're taking the layup. I was like, no, I actually haven't done, I don't think, a single one
15:13outside of, I think, five is maybe or four is the highest I've gone in one time.
15:18And I haven't done a top three yet. And that's kind of when I saw Erickson get 11.
15:23I was like, yeah, you know what? I'll try it.
15:26No, don't love it. Excellent. I really don't. I don't love the reach on McBride.
15:30Like, again, most people are going to be like, that's great value, I think, in the second round, late second round.
15:36But I don't love it just because I talk about team makeup a lot.
15:40To what Debro said, this is one instance where I'll do it because we're only starting too wide.
15:45But it's really round three is what killed me.
15:47I didn't really love anything that was there in round three.
15:50You hating it makes me ecstatic. Debro, heat check.
15:53Are we feeling good or are we a little concerned with the early build?
15:56No, feeling good. I went running back, running back, tight end.
16:00I just need to, you know, land the plane here with wide receivers and stuff.
16:04So we'll see how it all shakes out. But I feel really good about the values and upside that I combine at
16:10the wide receiver position, especially, again, going back to it.
16:13We're only starting two in this format. So really just need like one super stable guy if I can get that.
16:18And then mixing and matching upside plays. By the way, very funny, Erickson.
16:22I just noticed in all of my like cold campfire references, I didn't really you have the fantasy pros like lamp running behind us here.
16:29So I know you're feeling warm and toasty with your build, knowing that you could just manipulate me by knowing AJ Brown
16:35was going to go back through and taking a book of friends.
16:38So you've got to be feeling good, right? Yeah, I know exactly what running back I want next.
16:43I'm going to get because you're not going to take him.
16:47You're actually not wrong about that. My picks are coming up.
16:50I've got my wheel three and four. But I want to tell you guys about your chance for some giveaways.
16:55If you want a chance to win a $50 fantasy pro shop code or a one year betting pros premium subscription, then this is your opportunity.
17:02All you got to do is subscribe to the fantasy pros YouTube channel.
17:06Do it right now. Drop a comment below on any of our videos.
17:10And that's it. You say something nice, probably going to be a bonus, especially if I look at it.
17:15We'll be announcing both winners right here on the channel.
17:18So make sure turn on notifications. So, you know, not only we have new videos dropping, but you can also claim your
17:24prize a year of BP subscription or a little shop code action.
17:27You can get like fantasy pros hat and stuff.
17:30So you're not wrong because I'm not going to go running back here.
17:33I'm going to stay away from the stinky running backs and I'm going to go with Garrett Wilson.
17:38And I want to see how this builds out because I have not done this and I want all the shares.
17:44Jalen Waddell. So you screw off there, Erickson. I want Jalen Waddell.
17:47I want my PPR points. So I've got my two wide receivers and my flex.
17:52I don't know if you were trying to pull fast one on me by saying running back.
17:56So I would take one, but I am taking those two wide receivers.
18:00So I've got a nice little three wide receiver build in my flex.
18:04What's that running back you want there, Erickson? I'm going to take a running back that not that long ago we were
18:10drafting, maybe incorrectly, as a top five overall player.
18:12I don't think the talent has fallen off in any way, shape or form.
18:16So I'm going to go with Brees Hall. I knew it.
18:19Playing behind an underrated, in my estimate, offensive line for the New York Jets.
18:23I think Geno Smith is not the worst quarterback in the league.
18:26I think that he got screwed last year because, obviously through a lot of interceptions, but their entire offensive line got injured.
18:33And he was put in really bad positions, but also losing Brock Bowers for a lot of that season.
18:38And he was never 100% after week one. So I think that Brees Hall can still be the engine to this Jets offense.
18:44So, and he catches passes. So in a full PPR, getting him as my second running back, I feel really good about that.
18:51And take all of that for me into the ridiculous target share that is Garrett Wilson in an offense that is probably
18:57going to, though, feature maybe three running backs. So that's why Brees, I moved away from a little bit to take Garrett
19:03Wilson as the big dog in there. So I took Garrett, I took Waddle and Wilson.
19:07You took Brees Hall. We had Neighbors, Higgins, Josh Jacobs at five spot, Javante Williams and Debro.
19:12You were checking in with a wide receiver in Terry McLaurin.
19:15That Waddle pick hurts, but I didn't think he was going to make it past Erickson.
19:20So I kind of knew Waddle was going to be probably off the board.
19:23So McLaurin, yeah, like getting him in the fourth round just feels like cheating right now.
19:28Like, I feel like you're drafting a top 15 wide receiver.
19:31He's probably going to see a career high in targets.
19:34So I'm all in on Terry McLaurin, especially at this spot.
19:37I don't hate it. We had Lamar Jackson go to the next pick, followed by Drake Mace.
19:41We had a little bit of running back run and Sealy.
19:45You're actually up here, but you decided to go with that 410 pick.
19:48You went with Travion Henderson. After that, it was Ladd McConkie, Joe Burrow, Warren.
19:52So he had a quarterback tight end on the 4-5 turn and then Luther Burden.
19:56So you are probably getting a little bit more protection at the running back spot.
20:00And then you're up right now. I'm also getting a little bit more frustration, honestly.
20:05Like, why are the two wide receivers and still Devontae Adams sitting there?
20:08I'm not going to go Adams and Nakua and Kyron.
20:11Like, I mean, I'm not that afraid of three for the season.
20:14Why not? All in, top five offense, Sealy. Come on.
20:17It's just trying to bully you. We bullied you into it.
20:20Do it. But Travion Henderson's also on a Week 11 buy.
20:23Remember what we talked about on the draft tip show?
20:26I am leaning into the Week 11 buy. 90% of my team the rest of the year.
20:31Week 11, congrats, whoever plays me. There you go.
20:33Buy week. Buy week for you. The Travion Henderson thing really just comes down to who else was on the board.
20:39KM Scadaboo doing backflips off a busted knee, which is probably infuriating horrible on everybody out there.
20:44But no, the truth is, I actually do believe that we're going to see a split again this year.
20:49But the split is back in RB2. The upside, if the split comes to him 60-40 or even he gets close to
20:55Belcal workload, we know the potential is RB1. So kind of taking a swing at that spot.
21:00I don't hate it. I don't hate it. But we had Tatego, Etienne, and then Debro.
21:04Oh, you bullied me into it because you took Mike Evans.
21:07Mike Evans. I was going to take Mike Evans.
21:10And you're like, nah, I'll do Adams. Debro, great job.
21:13You bullied someone else to do something you wanted them to do so you could get your way.
21:18This is how mock drafting and drafting works. So good job.
21:21Talk to us about Evans. You know I love this pick.
21:24I don't want to draft 2025 Devontae Adams. I want to draft 2026 Devontae Adams and Mike Evans.
21:29I think he's going to lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns if he stays healthy.
21:33All right. Easy enough. It was quick to the point.
21:36You got to it. You just got to it.
21:38Devontae Williams, Cam Scadaboo, Bucky Irving was definitely something I was looking at.
21:42Jaden Daniels and Jaden Daniels kind of fell too at the 10 spot.
21:46I thought that was a pretty good value. Erickson's up with about 10 seconds left trying to ruin my day.
21:51What are you trying to do to ruin my day?
21:54The only thing is I felt like we've pivoted in different directions.
21:57This is beneficial. I don't feel like we're necessarily going after the same things.
22:01And you took Christian Watson with your pick. Yes, I did.
22:04You pissed off Debro. I pissed off Debro and that's a shout out to coach.
22:08I asked coach, hey, should I go running back or wide receiver here?
22:12And it said, take Christian Watson. It'll piss off Debro.
22:15And it made a lock of the week. So that was an easy pick for me.
22:19Christian Watson, I think if he's healthy, we could see him have a career year.
22:23Fifth year breakouts still happen. And Jerry Judy had a fifth year breakout.
22:27So you cannot write up players, even though through the start of his career, he's been plagued by injuries when he's been healthy on the field.
22:34And the fact that he came back last year and was productive as he was got an all pro vote, whether that was right or wrong.
22:41And just, I think eight or nine games played with no Romeo Dobbs.
22:45There's vacated targets in this offense. He has a chance to be the clear alpha number one wide receiver from mouth.
22:51Matthew Golden doesn't take a step forward. So Christian Watson, for me, is a player I am trying to get in a
22:57lot of drafts as a primed breakout candidate. All right.
23:00So I just took my second running back. The only problem with this that I don't love is this is not a
23:06PPR guy in a full PPR quinch on Judkins, but he is a volume guy.
23:10I'm going to pass catcher than people give him credit for.
23:13Yeah. When he catches like 10. Yeah, it's sweet.
23:16That's 10 points. I'm going to get extra for him this season.
23:19If he's their bell cow over under 30. I would love to see it.
23:23And that would be great. But either way, it's a.
23:26Over under. Dylan Samson will catch more passes than Judkins.
23:28Yeah. Okay. But is Dylan Samson going to be within 200 points of Judkins?
23:32I would actually, if Judkins stays healthy, I'd actually take that bet straight up.
23:36Really? All right. Well, I'm going to take another running back to protect myself as well.
23:41And I'm going with DeAndre Swift. So I went with a Judkins.
23:44Yeah. Judkins Swift combo. One of these guys is going to be on the bench, but I'm creating a lot of like
23:50starter wide receiver running back kind of depth here in this spot.
23:53The only thing I did pass up, and I don't know if Erickson's going to do it, is I was staring at
24:00Tucker Craft and he's just staring at the face and me and Erickson are both Tucker Craft guys.
24:05But I also feel like we're getting in that spot where I don't want to press tight ends for me to have
24:11the balance of like heavy running back and wide receivers here.
24:14I, I think I'm in a better spot than trying to press tight ends.
24:18I think we're in the best shape of our lives to now they're not going to say on Tucker Craft.
24:23If you notice within the last week, we went from everybody's ready for week one to all of a sudden like, eh, you know what?
24:30We're not going to say whether he's going to practice and be ready.
24:34And there's still good value. So Erickson, you're up with about 15 seconds.
24:37Did I snipe you at all? Did I make things difficult on you?
24:41Yeah, I did. I wanted the Andre Swift. So you did snipe me a little bit.
24:45I'm going to shoot for some upside here as my RB3 Bay shell.
24:49Oh, again? Lucky me. I'm having a great draft.
24:52We need like a, we need a snipe meter.
24:54Cause we've definitely had like three D bro. Here.
24:57All right. All right. I took Swift. You took tootin.
24:59Fanon went right after at the six, three, a dunze hurts.
25:02Tucker craft is mentioned. And D bro, you are up with a little disdain, uh, taste going into this pick.
25:08What do you do here? We, we took a couple of the pieces off.
25:12There is one clear running back that you and I have talked a ton about that's sitting on the board.
25:17I don't know if that was what you're looking at.
25:20And then there's some, there's some okay depth at wide receiver.
25:23So what are you doing? He is, um, I'm going to take a big swing at wide receiver though.
25:29I know that I'm going to get a reach alert, uh, from the mock simulator here, but I don't care.
25:34Like again, trying to make up a wide receiver.
25:37I'm drafting Parker Washington runner. Wow. Talk to us about Parker Washington.
25:40That was over as well. DK Metcalf Sutton. And then I mentioned Harrison and Thomas.
25:44Maybe it's not like the most insane reach or anything like that, but yeah, talk to us about that pick.
25:50I mean, he crushed, he averaged 22.3 PBR points.
25:52And I know we're talking about a half point here, but like he had Amon Ross St.
25:57Brown type of usage down the back half of last season.
26:00If that is even 75% of what Parker Washington is this season, he's a top 20 wide receiver.
26:05So yeah, at this point of the draft, I think he still should be drafted over Brian Thomas jr.
26:10So that's why I'm taking him here. Love it.
26:13Uh, Caleb Williams, uh, Jordan Tyson was the final pick in the sixth round paired with Jalen Warren at the seven one
26:19Metcalf was in there, but David Montgomery. Was the six 10 by Celie.
26:23That's the running back I was talking about. We were both clearly talking about, and then I believe Celie you are, uh, no, you just made to pick.
26:30You took dark. I did what I would take in the fifth and sixth round from that other show in the sixth and seventh round.
26:37So I'm even happier this time, because when we talked about on that show, I said, I'd be happy to get David
26:43Montgomery in the, that it was half point PBR to be fair.
26:47So I actually really liked getting him in the sixth instead of the fifth, but then my quarterback that I'd be taking
26:53if they're in the sixth, I get in the seventh, I'd much rather in the seventh, but Jackson Dart.
26:58I keep saying it 20 points per game. You take out those first two games because those weren't starts and starts 20 points per game.
27:05If he stays healthy. I know this entire team is if healthy, if healthy, if healthy, if healthy, three different guys.
27:11Uh, but Jackson Dart in the, I'll take the swing at this point, especially again, cause it's too wide receiver.
27:16I probably don't take Dart at this point. If it's, if it was three.
27:20Uh, we have got Dart Sutton Hubbard, uh, Pollard went seven, six to you, D bro.
27:25And then Erickson's already make a, made a pick here, but we'll get to that in a second.
27:30So, um, I think Pollard's a great value. I think we've talked about this as like one of those dudes where you
27:36get like as an RB three or, I mean, you can be a solid RB two, but like as an RB three slash flex, it really works out.
27:44So Pollard was this part of the bill and how many running backs do you have?
27:48What does your running back core look like? Uh, I got CMC chase Brown and now Tony Pollard.
27:53That was another reason why I was fine, but taking the swing on a Parker Washington, because it kind of felt like
27:59with the other wide receivers on the board, I felt like he was the last kind of like glaring guy where maybe
28:05if the, all the upside hits, it's massive. We're again, kind of covering myself for Mike, Mike Evans and Tara McLaurin, not
28:12being the youngest wide receivers and injuries and stuff like that, where I could still get access to Tony Pollard and his volume, um, as my RB three.
28:19So that's again, why I went the wide receiver last round and went with Pollard here.
28:24Yeah, I dig that one. Um, let's see, let me try to pick back where we are.
28:29Uh, Justin Herbert went seven, seven Alec Pierce at seven, eight.
28:32That's someone I was looking at Michael Wilson, Rico Dowdle.
28:34And then Erickson, you're tabbing in with a quarterback.
28:37I actually thought you might be a little bit late, but you took Trevor Lawrence right in front of me.
28:42And it actually has put me in a very interesting situation because there's one.
28:46Really talented player that I think is even silly, regardless of my build to pass up at this point.
28:52We'll go in a second, but, uh, Trevor Lawrence, there was Dak Purdy, Bo Nix.
28:56Those guys were still out there, but was at the end of a tier.
29:00I got a warning by the way, from coach.
29:02It's a, it's a really cool thing that adds in with the draft simulator, by the way, where it'll start to talk to you about tier differences.
29:10And it was screaming at me saying, Hey, by the way, the wide receiver tears change, uh, wide receiver tier changes about to drop off.
29:17I don't know if we got that with quarterback, but that's kind of what I think was happening with Trevor Lawrence.
29:22There was like a tier change. And I think you probably jumped on that.
29:26So talk to us about why you wanted to take Trevor Lawrence in the seventh.
29:31Cause I agree with you with the tier drop.
29:33I think that when I look at Trevor Lawrence week five onward last year, when he was really cooking with all of
29:39these receivers in the Jaguars offense, understanding the ins and outs of Liam Cohen's offense, he outscored every quarterback after week five,
29:45even he had more points than Josh Allen on a point per game basis.
29:49So entering year two with now his full stable of wide receivers, healthy and ready to go full season with Jacoby Myers
29:55in the offense, hopefully a healthy Brian Thomas, Jr.
29:58You're getting a Parker Washington. Does he carry his second half breakout over?
30:01And then you get Travis Hunter as a wide receiver for him, rent in strange.
30:06So this offense is littered with playmakers across the board.
30:08Maybe if the running backs don't necessarily step up and it's just Trevor Lawrence calling his own number inside the red zone,
30:14second and red zone attempts last year behind only Josh Allen.
30:18So I look at all these things and I think, man, this guy could be the QB one overall and you get
30:24him at the end of the seventh round. I was willing to take him just to make sure.
30:29Cause I know you needed a quarterback as I can kind of see with the draft wizard in the draft simulator.
30:35It says you need a quarterback. So I didn't want him to fall into your laps.
30:39So that's why I took Trevor Lawrence there. 7-11.
30:41Sorry, Welsh. Erickson, will you be elated or ticked off when T-law vultures Basial Tootin at the goal line, considering your build here?
30:48Well, Tootin's on the bank. Start of the year.
30:50So it's okay. I was going to say, there's an argument the other way though, where you could do this.
30:56I mean, for the longest time we were doing it with quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers or Derek Henry, I
31:02should say, where you get the running back quarterback and then you get all the passing touchdowns and most of the rushing touchdowns.
31:08So it's not the end of the world. Yeah.
31:11I definitely was looking at quarterback. Not sure if I would have pulled the trigger.
31:15It'll be interesting what you guys think here. Cause I'm, I've got one pick set.
31:19Going to get another one. We're going to do that on the seven, eight split.
31:23But before we do college football Saturdays hit different, but trying to handicap a slate of over a hundred college football teams shouldn't be a guessing game.

32:02You've got to go check it out and do it today.
32:05Please. Our boy Bogman and Seth Wilcock are going to be rolling that down.
32:09So I am in a position where I definitely do need quarterback.
32:13I don't feel pressed for it. I'm interested in tight end, but I don't quite feel pressed for it either.
32:18I am going to do one very full PPR base pick and the other one, it's really not a need because as
32:24you mentioned on the tally over on the right, it'll show it's a cool extra feature.
32:29It'll show exactly what team needs are for a team.
32:32Yeah. I have quarterback. I have no quarterback and no tight end.
32:35So it's saying I need them, but I'm going to kind of avoid that right now.
32:39Guys, Jadarian price is still on the board and I just think there's just tremendous upside.
32:44I don't necessarily have a spot for him right now, but because we're doing the two wide receiver with a flex build,
32:50you can never have enough, enough depth, especially if you're talking like real leagues and in a trade.
32:55So I just think it's silly. And I believe he is near the tippy top of he's the number one running back
33:01for me to take according to the draft wizard.
33:04But the other one, this is not the number one wide receiver, but I think this is the number one guy for my team.
33:10I am going to be jumping on Wondell Robinson as the guy that potentially could be the number one PPR monster here.
33:16I did pass up Chris Godwin, who was the top guy expert consensus wanted me to take, but I wanted to go
33:23all the PPR points with Wondell as my fourth wide receiver.
33:26So I have four running backs and four wide receivers.
33:28Erickson, you did a little fist bump. So I did not take any of your guys, unfortunately.
33:33No sniping. No, it was more like a Arthur's fist type of not a fist bump because I wanted Jeterian Price.
33:39Oh, so you were like, you son of a, yeah, not, not a good fist bump.
33:43Sorry, Welsh. But no, that was a great pick by you.
33:46Jeterian Price. I think that getting him this late when he first got drafted the first round, I thought he was going
33:53to be around four pick like locked and loaded just based on the draft capital.
33:57But there's been enough question marks out what his role is going to be in the Seahawks offense.
34:02Zach Charbonnet's timetable that I think that you're starting to see him fall a little bit here.
34:06I got to make my pick and I'm probably going to time out.
34:10Oh my God. No. Oh my God. Oh no.
34:13I did two. One. Crash out. Did he auto?
34:15What did he do? He did. Oh, this is actually one of your guys.
34:19Rashad White. Rashad White. Oh, so no, I did not.
34:22Didn't not. You get it. You got it in.
34:24You got, you got the pick in just barely.
34:27He didn't know he had to look back. He wasn't sure.
34:30He wasn't sure. I'm just like jamming the mouse.
34:32Like, come on, let's click, click, click, click. My computer's like loading, loading, loading.
34:36By the way, part of my plan, just maybe getting a guy distracted a little bit for the pick, trying to help
34:42out my boy D bro, who's been sniped a little bit.
34:45But let's hear a little bit of the Rashad White.
34:48I know you've been very pro Rashad White. Obviously in a full PPR format, it's easy to bump him up a little bit.
34:55He did go before Ramondre Stevenson, RJ Harvey. I mean, not like a ton of other names, but just real quick on Rashad White for Ericsson.
35:02I just think that he has the, one of the weakest backfield competitions in terms of Ja'Croi Kroski Merritt, Katron Allen, a
35:08rookie running back that was taken the sixth round this year.
35:11He's got established chemistry with Jane Daniels dating back to their college days.
35:15And I think that he's going to be the leading running back.
35:18I think he does the most what we like for fantasy football purposes, which is catch passes and a full PPR.
35:24And last year he showed that he was, could be efficient in the red zone.
35:28So understandably, he's not the most exciting running back, especially when it's, Hey, hit the corner and run up field for a big play.
35:35It's not what Rashad White does, but the other things he does really well in getting him this late, I think it's really good value.
35:42And he's one of my favorite late round running backs to take in every single mock.
35:46I'm having a hard time focusing Jake's upset face.
35:49I'm going to need that clipped and into something.
35:51The way Jake shook his head when, and then just proceeded to have about 30 seconds of sad face is absolutely killing me.
35:57I'm, I'm guessing it has to do with maybe D pro's pick because after white, we had RJ Harvey, Josh Downs.
36:03Downs. I love in this range. We talked about on the show.
36:07I looked at Josh Downs. Taking for the value.
36:09Pearsall was like the backup plan. And then Quentin Johnston goes right.
36:12And like, dude, I was hoping QJ made it back to me too.
36:16My freaking wide receiver plans. Yeah. In between the white, it was Harvey Downs, Pittman and Coram.
36:21And then D bro. You took Pearsall. I actually thought about taking Pearsall where I took Wondell.
36:26So right before D bro. So here, we'll go back to, we'll come back to D bro in a second.
36:31What you ended up with Jake is you mentioned Ramondre Quentin Johnson.
36:34You took Makai Lemon at the 10th pick in the eighth round.
36:38We had a Jaden Reed, Gainwell, Mononghi worthy, and then you took Godwin.
36:41So you went back to back wide receiver. So while D bro is trying to make do with the sniping that happened,
36:47talk to us about those two wide receiver picks you had.
36:51Well, I mean, I get the third rookie wide receiver that I think deserves to be on the same tier.
36:56Potentially we had take on the fifth Tyson going to six.
36:59And then I get Makai Lemon at this point, which I know people are concerned that Jalen Hertz doesn't throw over the
37:05middle a lot, but I mean, I've been spending my entire off season saying he doesn't do it a lot, but he's done it.
37:12One of the best in the leagues and maybe with more opportunities comes less efficiency, but this offense is going to change in our manual.
37:19And yeah, there's a chance that Lemon doesn't even have the second best value and it's Don Tavian Wicks, but I'm going
37:25to take the chance on Makai Lemon's talent where everybody into the draft is going, I'm on right.
37:30St. Brown is this, the MO for him. And then he gets drafted by the Eagles and they're like, yeah, he sucks.
37:36Like I just, he can play outside everybody. He was actually top what three or four in all the big conferences in plays of 20 yards past downfield.
37:44So like, I just don't get it. But if I can get him in the eighth round now, I've thrown all that
37:50risk out the window and I'm just buying upside at this point.
37:53And then Chris Godwin is just the fact that he's healthy.
37:56He said that he wasn't a hundred percent healthy all last year.
38:00Um, D bro, you had taken the pure salt pick and then coming back.
38:04I think you got, maybe got upset because Jonathan Brooks went one pick in front of you by, by the robots.
38:10And then you went with Jaden Higgins. So talk about those two picks.
38:13Man, I was hoping, so I was debating, uh, massively kind of like Jake was talking about, uh, between pure salt and Quentin Johnson.
38:20I was hoping that I was going to be able to get both of them.
38:24I figured that probably wasn't going to be the case with Jake, uh, drafting in between, uh, you know, before my next pick twice.
38:31So Brooks was also the guy that I was like, okay, I've got three running backs feel really good about them and their volume and stuff.
38:38So I wanted to take the upside swing on Jonathan Brooks, get sniped.
38:42He goes one pick ahead of me. And so I went with Jaden Higgins.
38:45Um, again, we've, you know, I know Jake is extremely high on him.
38:49I think this is really kind of a CJ Stroud conversation, not a Jaden Higgins, uh, talent conversation.
38:54Can CJ Stroud be good enough to support two top 36 wide receivers?
38:58We shall see. But Jaden Higgins has a talent, man.
39:00He's going to be more of a thorn in Nico Collins side than I think a lot of people realize right now.
39:07So, uh, after just catching back up here with some of the picks we had the, I want to get the in-betweens here.
39:13Sorry. The draft goes up. We had Lemon Reed gain well.
39:16Yeah, I know. Nine to one was Monongai worthy.
39:19Godwin by Sealy Dobbins Brooks and then Higgins by, uh, Debro Aaron Jones, Laporta, Addison Charbonnet.
39:23And then Erickson, you popped up with Jacoby Myers and Oh, and you did something I was thinking about doing too.
39:29You actually went Jacoby Myers and George Kittle. I almost double tap tight end because, uh, I got the warning from the
39:35draft wizard that was like, Hey, we're about to have the teardrop on tight ends.
39:39And I wanted Kyle Pitts the last turn. So I ended up taking Kyle Pitts in there and then you took George Kittle after.
39:46So, uh, talk to us about Myers and Kittle.
39:48Kittle, you're number one tight end. Are you just going to try to get a backup for the first couple of weeks for him?
39:55Yeah. I mean, waiting this long into round 10 for tight end, it's a late round tight end approach.
40:00So I am looking at trying to attack it with multiple bodies.
40:04And I think that George Kittle is one of those players that I want because if he's missing time or is not
40:10productive, it's because he's coming back from his injury.
40:12There's still a chance that when he does get back onto the field, he returns to George Kittle of, of yesteryear of
40:18last season, when he has weeks that when you, you're weak and he has these monster performances, which I think matters a
40:24lot at tight end because when he has those big monster performances, it actually moves the needle at the position.
40:30So I like pairing him with some of the other guys left on the board here, whether it's Dulcich or a Conquo
40:36or likely again, some other names here. I really is still like, um, that I can have as my second tight end.
40:42And then when it comes to Jacoby Myers, I get that everybody has their Jaguars wide receiver flavor that they like the most.
40:49But I just continue to look at Myers as someone that just is always underrated from week or after the last 10
40:55games for the Jaguars, he led the team in routes, run catches and targets.
40:59He got traded for before the trade deadline and then was immediately given a contract extension by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
41:04He immediately established rapport with Trevor Lawrence, who we're still hoping has any chemistry with Brian Thomas Jr.
41:09And over the last five seasons, Jacoby Myers is top 15 in targets and catches.
41:13He's one of the most underrated target earners in the NFL.
41:16And it's sick to me to this day that my Patriots let him go for Juju Smith-Schuster.
41:21And yeah, I think that he's just super underrated.
41:24I ended up going with Kyle Pitts. I thought Kyle Pitts was falling pretty dramatically.
41:28And I do, I do believe there was an end of a tear.
41:31So I jumped on that. The other pick I was really torn.
41:35I wasn't in love with the wide receivers. The top lift as far as running backs was Jacory Krosky-Meritt.
41:40And again, I've got a lot of depth there, but I just, I don't hate the possibilities of getting any big wins.
41:46Jadarian Price could be a little bit more of a risk, especially as the season goes on, if like Charbonnet gets healthy
41:52and maybe he does deteriorate in the offense or whatever.
41:55Jacory might end up being a big play for me.
41:58So it's not, that's definitely not a pick I'm in love with, but I've created like insane depth.
42:03And I did fill one of those spots at tight end, I thought with a really good value.
42:08Erickson went Kittle, Mason, Kelsey, Spears, Marks, Debro. I didn't even realize when I wanted to talk about this pick, I thought it was bought today.
42:15You did it. Let's talk about the restructuring of Alvin Kamara and what that has done for his value as you just
42:21took him in the 10th round full PPR that changes it.
42:24Obviously half PPR, maybe it's a little bit further, but you took him at the seventh pick in the 10th round here.
42:30Pretty big jump from irrelevant, not being drafted to 10th round pick.
42:34I mean, I think this is where he should be going.
42:37If not, you make a case that he should be going higher.
42:40Like Alvin Kamara, I think is going to go back into the role that we saw early in his career.
42:46I don't think that he's going to be like this workhorse and I'm not depending on him as to be that as
42:52my RB for, but he's still a very, very good receiving back.
42:55And I think that he's going to cut into Travis Echion's red zone work.
42:59And right now it's my RB for in a full PPR format.
43:02Oh yeah. All day. Um, after Kamara, Tyron Tracy, Kincaid, and then Celie, you went with Keaton Mitchell at the 10, 10 lot of controversy on there.
43:10You're there a Vidal or a Mitchell guy. Apparently I'd actually be curious if you want to throw in any little anecdotal,
43:16like was Kamara at all a part of your decision-making there?
43:19Okay. So you were considered, would you have taken Kamara over, uh, Keaton Mitchell?
43:23Actually the two running backs that went right before me, I would have went Tracy, then Kamara, then Mitchell.
43:28So they just happened to all go in this round.
43:31Again, I continue to hate the third pick. Um, I'm definitely not going to be trying to draft here in a lot of spots so far.
43:38I will say team eight, I think is killing it by the way.
43:42Uh, but it just really came down to the Keaton Mitchell that we talked about on the other show is that I
43:48actually do believe there's a chance he has standalone flex value and that, that usage behind that offensive line with it being
43:54healthy, but also Mike McDaniel on this offense, Harbaugh.
43:57I mean, we know this entire office is going to use two running backs and that's not going to stop Hampton from being an RB one.
44:04It just means Keaton Mitchell could have staying at low flex value.
44:07And then if something were to happen, yeah, I do believe Vidal would actually be the lead, but I don't think Keaton
44:13Mitchell would go away and actually his, uh, usage could uptick to a potential RB two.
44:18Um, but I feel better about the pick after that.
44:21Honestly. Yeah. Uh, likely was the second to last pick in the 10th round.
44:24And then Chris Rodriguez ended out the 10th. It started with Romeo Dobbs in the 11th, Tyler Algier, and then Celia, your next pick was Matthew Golden.
44:32So upside play. What is he like? Why does it have a five for you?
44:36Uh, is he five on your team construction? He has five.
44:39So it was pure, pure upside at this point.
44:42This is that, Hey, post-hype sleeper. And the fact that like, yeah, I mean, it's sleeper to a degree is like all
44:48the excitement of him being the rookie, potentially being the number two last year.
44:52It was a lost season. I mean, there was at the end of the year, we were talking about Savion Williams versus Matthew Golden.
44:58So there's still a chance that he's a complete bust in the NFL.
45:02But when you're talking about the 11th round pick, this is where we go to the advice show where we did and talked about draft strategies.
45:09This is do not waste your bench. This is shooting purely for upside.
45:13I'm not drafting somebody that could potentially fill in during a buy.
45:16I am looking for somebody that could potentially surprise and be a top 25, 30 wide receiver.
45:21Yeah. I love that. You said that. That's very, very good advice.
45:24After that was Dylan Sampson, Casey Concepcion, and then Debro.
45:27I didn't realize you didn't have a quarterback because a couple of rounds, I have not drafted a quarterback.
45:32We've been sitting here staring at Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy, the top two guys.
45:36And you ended up getting Dak at the 11, six spot.
45:40So yeah, agreed with that. That's a, that's a good value.
45:43Yeah. I mean, I love Dak this year. I loved him last year.
45:46He was QB seven weeks, one through 17 and fantasy points per game.
45:50So, you know, if anything kind of turns up even more for Dak Prescott, like he has like an outlier year where
45:56he gets a six or 7% passing touchdown rate.
45:58Like Dak has top five upside this year. And so to get him in the 11th round.
46:03Yeah. Totally in on it. After the Dak pick, we had Khalil Shakir.
46:07We had Coleman, Pacheco, Jennings, and then Erickson. I am curious about this.
46:10Were you at all hoping, because this is a, I've talked about this as a build I like.
46:15If I take Kittle, I really like the idea of pairing him with Isaiah Likely, but Likely went earlier.
46:21You took Chica Conquo with your pick right in front of me.
46:24You did not, who you took that over was Ferguson, Goddard, and Andrews, which are three pretty big names.
46:29Were you at all hoping Likely would fall, or was this always going to be the plan with a Conquo?
46:35I think I wanted Likely to fall. I view him probably, I have him ranked higher than a Conquo, because I do
46:41think that Likely can at least be the number one target on his team, especially early on in the season.
46:47I don't think that's in a Conquo's range of outcomes unless Terry McLaurin gets hurt.
46:51But being the number two pass catcher attached to Jayden Daniels, I think can be, there's upside with that.
46:56So I don't like that I miss out on Likely, but I think a Conquo is a good consolation prize, especially as
47:02my number two tight end to pair along with George Kittle.
47:05All right. Well, I have got two picks coming up here in just a second, and I'm going to be tabbing one
47:11of the quarterbacks, and then I'm going to be trying to play for some upside.
47:16But this episode is brought to you by our presenting sponsor, Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

49:10But I'm also from Queens, which means I know pizza.
49:13And on my new podcast, Delivering Happiness with Nick Turturro, I deliver pizza from Prince Street Pizza to a new guest.
49:19Are you delivering pizza now? Then we sit down for a real conversation.
49:22I've shared a slice with everyone. From Seth Rollins.
49:25What are you doing with my belt? To Alex Rodriguez.
49:28Just to let you people know, we're talking to one of the goats here.
49:32To Bill Burr. I don't think I've ever met somebody so exactly out of their mind as I am.
49:37And now, we even have more great guests coming up, including the great John Turturro.

49:49Hey everybody, I'm Tarika Foster-Brasby. What's up, y'all? I'm your girl, Cheryl Swoops.
49:52When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast, Levels to This, you're definitely going to get some spicy WNBA analysis.
49:59I see a lot of men who get into the space because now it's a hot product.
50:03And that grinds my gears to dust. But then, the conversation goes on and levels up beyond basketball.
50:08It's been really, really cool seeing kind of these women just really step into their power off the court and understand that they aren't basketball, right?
50:16And they're not asking for permission. Because on Levels to This, the game is always the starting point.
50:21But we're more than just hoops. And the real conversation is what we actually bring.
50:25This is Levels to This, the podcast about all the levels of stuff that women go through.
50:30Listen to Levels to This with Cheryl Swoops and Tarika Foster-Brasby on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
50:36At concerts, we dance to the same tune. At games, we hug total strangers.
50:40And yet, in these moments, there's also something we don't do.
50:43We don't act based on how they look, who they love, where they're from, or what they believe.
50:48We just act. Because the things that make us different will never change what makes us human.
50:53Go to lovehasnolabels.com to learn more. Brought to you by Love Has No Labels and the Eye Council.
50:58No swinging from me, friends, because as we are going to kick back into this, there is clearly only one incredible option
51:04at quarterback that I'm going to be jumping on.
51:06And that is Brock Purdy. I did not take a quarterback in the last round because Dak and Brock were both there.
51:12Obviously, if Brock or Dak were to have both gone, you can pivot to a Stafford or a Knicks.
51:18And I think you can even pair them with a Patrick Mahomes if you want.
51:22But Purdy just throws up top 10 quarterback performances every year.
51:25You've got Christian McCaffrey, and you've got the touchdown equity of the upside of Mike Evans.
51:29So Purdy, to me, is just such a no-brainer here.
51:32Yeah, it's perfect. And I'm going to take him.
51:35And then coming back with it, I've only got one bench-wide receiver.
51:38I do have three wideouts. I've got Waddle, Garrett Wilson, and Justin Jefferson.
51:42I drafted Wando Robinson. I want to play some upside, and I'm going to go with Denzel Boston as kind of an
51:48upside play here, especially if he ends up being able to press to be a number one and they do pass the ball a little bit more.
51:55Denzel Boston seems like that good upside play like we were talking about before.
51:59Andrew Erickson, Trey Harris, a little bit of Chargers offense here.
52:02Not the name that everybody is usually talking about.
52:05It's Debro screaming about Quentin Johnston or, hey, Lad's going to be back.
52:08But you're jumping in on Trey Harris here, so let's hear the pitch.
52:12Well, if you listen to Jim Harbaugh, he thinks that all of his top three wide receivers are elite.
52:17Now, what does that mean? I don't know. But it does at least suggest that, hey, there may be a chance where
52:23each guy is getting an equal opportunity to deliver in this offense.
52:27And Trey Harris is the cheapest piece that you can get of a Chargers offense that I think we can all agree really excited about.
52:34With Mike McDaniel taking over as the offensive coordinator.
52:36So I looked at my roster and I'm scrolling.
52:39I'm thinking, OK, I have no Chargers on my team.
52:41I can't have that happen. So Trey Harris on board, baby.
52:45All right. You can still drop Brennan Thompson. Yeah, there's still guys out there.
52:48I like that. I like that it was just simply, hey, I don't have any, so I need to get some.
52:54So, all right. Brenton Strange, Tank Bigsby, Ferguson, Goddard, a little tight end run.
52:58And Debro, James Conner, a little blast from the past.
53:01What was behind the James Conner pick? Like in these final rounds, I mean, again, like we're drafting for upside.
53:06And if these guys don't hit or whatever, especially if you're doing early drafts, then you can just drop them before week one.
53:13That's what I'm looking at with Conner. Like, I still think he's probably not on the Arizona Cardinals roster when it comes to week one.
53:20Like, I still think that we are firmly like, would anybody be that shocked if the Lions get into camp and they say, yeah, that Isaiah Pacheco guy.
53:28He really doesn't have it anymore. And they reunited with Drew Petsing and we get him in the David Montgomery role.
53:33And he's basically a touchdown dependent flex play. Nobody should be shocked by that.
53:37So, again, James Conner. I know, like, I've got like this aging running back room here on the back end.
53:43But both these guys, it feels like upside. And you're up, by the way, too, if you don't know that.
53:48I just want to make sure. Oh, I do.
53:51Okay. Oh, I do. And I'm taking the last quarterback that I feel like, again, is going to be dismissed.
53:57Upside for days. Malik Willis to round out the bench.
53:59Oh, okay. I wasn't sure. I mean, sorry, Jake.
54:02You just took Malik. But he took Malik over Stafford and Patrick Mahomes, I believe.
54:06You know what? Mahomes and Stafford had just went.
54:09Actually, they went right after. Good Lord. I didn't see that.
54:12So we had Goddard. Well, okay. Then Brian Robinson, Braylon Allen, and then Jake.
54:15You jumped up with little Manuel Wilson. Yeah, just on the off chance that Jadarian Price is a bust as a rookie.
54:22That's really what it comes down to is they did sign him first.
54:25And I really don't think he's that much of a threat to Price to lead the backfield, but maybe as a timeshare.
54:31And then like I said, if Price, you know, the coach speak was like, we're going to find a way.
54:37He's going to get his chances in the backfield.
54:39And they said, if everything goes wrong, we're going to use in the return game.
54:44So they want to use Price, but they did leave that door open.
54:47So that's really what came down to Emmanuel Wilson, just looking for flyers at this point.
54:52Singleton Benson finished out the 12th round. And then we go into the final round, which is the 13th.
54:57Mark Andrews, Ray Davis, and then a pretty popular one.
55:00Should not be there. Stephon Diggs. Yeah, you jumped on Stephon Diggs.
55:03I wanted Stephon Diggs. Jake took him out of the top of my queue, too.
55:07I mean, Stephon Diggs, honestly, like, do we really think he's not going to play?
55:11Like, keep saying it. If he would sign today, he should be five rounds earlier?
55:16Yeah. Six? I don't disagree with it. Yeah, it's just one of those weird ones that's floating out there.
55:21Man. And then our final picks in here. Oh, I just went away from it, too.
55:25I think let me go back up to draft board.
55:28Sorry, I did that. I'll give you a sneak preview.
55:31You got a lot of love and the three of us got a lot of hate.
55:35Yeah, I'm really disappointed we didn't when we did the draft game.
55:39I just want to throw out. I'm really disappointed we didn't do any type of betting or anything like that.
55:44For next time. Yeah, Stephon Diggs. What the last place team Andrews should do next time.
55:49All right, let me finish this. Uh, Gaston Cooper.
55:51Uh, you took Wilson. We had Patrick Mahomes Stafford.
55:54Emmitt Johnson was actually going to be my last pick.
55:56Uh, Caleb Johnson. Greg Dolchich. I shouldn't actually be shocked about that.
56:00That's is that three tight ends you just took?
56:02Erickson? Well, when you drafted your first time is coming off an Achilles injury and playing in Australia week one, you got
56:08to have to be a little careful about. Okay.
56:11I got to draft a couple more tight ends.
56:13Aren't you contractually obligated to draft Greg Dolchich and every, everyone to?
56:17I am. I am part of Greg Dolchich. I'm one of his agents really trying to pump up the bags for Dolchich.
56:23But the other thing is too, and again, you mentioned the Stephon Diggs, the commanders are a legitimate landing spot.
56:28So it's possible at the time week one comes, Kittle could be out, Diggs could be a commander and I could be screwed at tight end.
56:36So hence why I needed to add Greg Dolchich wide receiver one in my end.
56:40All right. And then I ended the draft with Bo Nix.
56:43I got a little bit of questions at quarterback.
56:45I mean, I think Purdy is great, but you know, I could go to the wire guys like Kyler Murray didn't get
56:52drafted, but Bo Nix just seemed like a really good value there just to have as a, as a dual quarterback play here.
56:58So the projections are in and man, the idea I had to, for if anyone who finished last was really going to
57:04be great, but it got Nix because we might do it a little bit later.
57:08But here is how the draft settled out. And then you guys tell me if you would like to read off your team and any insights.
57:15I can also do both or one if you want, but finishing at the bottom is the great and powerful.
57:21And apparently my bunk buddy here is Andrew Erickson.
57:23Andrew Erickson at the 11 spot with the bottom grade 10 team.
57:27A bot finished one point higher at 11. And then Deepro checked in high five and at the bottom of the draft here with a 10 spot.
57:34Then it went bot bot Seely with the seven spot.
57:37And I really hate to tell you guys, you're going to hear nothing but bots till you get to the top because
57:43your boy Welsh finished with the highest grade. I believe it was a A.
57:47Yeah, it was an A, not an A plus, but an A there.
57:51So that is how the grading finished out. So Erickson, we're going to go down to your team.
57:56Let's see what went wrong. We can check it out.
57:59Do you want to read off your team and or insights or would you like me to?
58:03You can read it off, but for the, let the record show that Derek Brown gave me 89 out of a hundred.
58:09That's a B plus. That's not a bottom right grade.
58:12I like your team Erickson. We'll check in. This really handsome analyst Andrew Erickson gave by draft a 97 out of a hundred.
58:19No, I don't know. I might need glasses like yours to figure out who that is.
58:23So it was nice the glasses you got there.
58:26All right, your team, you went Trevor Lawrence at quarterback.
58:28Your starting running backs were James Cook and Brees Hall.
58:31Your two wide outs were A.J. Brown and Emeka Egbuka.
58:34You had George Kittle as your tight end and Christian Watson at flex.
58:37So it's definitely, it's, it's strong from a starting perspective, but maybe like because, I don't know, like the wide receiver too
58:44might have dinged you a little bit. Maybe Kittle obviously not being there.
58:47Your bench is strong though. You had Tootin, Myers, Rashad White, Chico Conquo, Trey Harris, and Dolchich as we mentioned.
58:53D bro, let me ask you real quick. What do you think about this roster since you did like it?
58:58You actually like it as much as the insights are saying?
59:01Yes. I really like, I love his team. Like, I mean, he's strong at the top three running backs.
59:07He probably gets the commander starting running back as his RB four.
59:10He's incredibly strong with his top three wide receivers and a start two wide receivers.
59:14And he just punted tight end and he gets access to upside with Trevor Lawrence.
59:18It's like, I, I really like his team. I think it's kind of dismissive.
59:22The fact that he got dead last year. The insights hilariously.
59:25You did draft the number one sleeper tight end.
59:28Chico Conquo is the number one sleeper tight end on our books.
59:31The, the expert opinions. The person who loves Erickson's draft the most.
59:34Himself. Is Erickson. It's Erickson. I'm on brand. Yeah.
59:37He loves his the most. David Biggs, Brady Ayer, Derek Debro and Daniel Mader, who hated, every gamble hated you the most.
59:43You got some F's in there and you ended up getting like a C minus.
59:47So overall perspective, ninth at quarterback, fifth at running back, ninth at wide receiver, 10th at tight end.
59:52Flex was seventh and bench was five. So I was right.
59:55Like, you know, not just saying it like the structurally, it did like your bench probably more than anything you did, but
60:01kind of struggled on the starters there. Debro, uh, we are going to go over to your team here.
60:07Um, I will give you the same thing. You can list it off or I can, and you can give your insight here.
60:13What would you like to do? Oh, no. List off my team Welsh.
60:17Um, I will start this off with the fact that I gave myself a 98.
60:21So shout out to me, but go ahead. Well, you guys love you.
60:25Some you, I can appreciate that. I mean, staying on brand dude, if we're not going to sit here and practice what
60:31we preach, what are we doing here? Talking about actual, what you would do in drafts with what you guys did.
60:37You really stuck to it. So hat tip. You took Dak at quarterback with a great value.
60:41McCaffrey and Chase Brown as your one, two on running backs is sick.
60:45You pair the wide receivers as Terry McLaurin and Mike Evans, Colson Loveland, your tight in and Tony Pollard at flex on the bench.
60:52Parker Washington, Ricky Pearsall, Jaden Higgins at wide out.
60:54You had Alvin Kamara and James Connor at running back and Malik Willis at quarterback.
60:58So you definitely took some liberties, uh, I think a little bit later on the bench, Jake Seeley, what do you think of Debro's construction?
61:05How do you view this team? I think this is a Debro team as we talked about.
61:10Oh, what does that mean? Why don't you be more descriptive?
61:13What does a Debro team mean? I was going to say, so the difference in, I think both of ours versus everything
61:19else I was looking at too, is that we're both pretty low on bench.
61:23He's 10th, I'm 11th. You're actually number one in bench 220, which is really vaulting your team, which is interesting enough.
61:29Cause you're like what third worst on starters, but you're number one on bench.
61:33And it's kind of flipped. It's like Debro and I are stronger in that area, but like just crucified on the bench.
61:39And I don't know why I think just might come down to like the valuation of projections and like what we're doing
61:45is why I like Debro's team is because we're shooting for the upside.
61:49Like we know that if one of those doesn't hit two of those doesn't hit, we can go to the waiver wire and chase other options.
61:56There'll be other options in the beginning of the year.
61:59I think the biggest thing is that we have to understand.
62:02We always hit the waiver wire. If we knew the drafts were going to be the drafts and these were going to
62:08be the top 200, whatever players that we draft every single year, there would be no such thing as waiver wires.
62:14And you have to adapt and adjust and try to make trades.
62:17But I like the fact that if you're looking at both of our bench, no, the values aren't there, but the potential is there.
62:24So that's why I like Debro's team a lot, which isn't surprising.
62:27But if you notice who's not on this show, who liked mine the most?
62:31Scott Bogman. Well, we're going to get there. We're going to get there.
62:3495. All these excuses, by the way, of me just being amazing.
62:38You're just like, well, we got waivers and stuff.
62:40It's all because we can make trades. Yeah, it's really good.
62:43By the way, Debro, you're bi-week. You have bi-week hell in week eight.
62:47You have McCaffrey, Evans, Piersol, Higgins, and Kamara. Again, don't care.
62:50Alvin Kamara was number five on the sleeper RB ranks.
62:53And as mentioned, you are the number one lover of your team.
62:56You gave it a 98. And this is hilarious.
62:59The next person gave it a 90, so you definitely have a type.
63:02You got a type, Debro. Matt Donnelly, Ellis Johnson, Rudy Gamble, like yours.
63:06The Tecmo Weave hated. You got a couple Fs in here.
63:09How was the Tecmo Weave? I don't know. They don't like your team.
63:13They're haters for you. Moving up to your team, Sealy.
63:15You finished. You're right in the mid-pack here. You got a B, 83 out of 100.
63:20You were seventh. You were like just a couple points off from fourth here.
63:24Since I'll just keep with this, I'll read your team.
63:26You had Jackson Dark at quarterback, Kyron Williams and Travion at running back.
63:30Puka and Devonta Adams. So you got the Rams as your wide receivers.
63:34Trey McBride at tight end. David Montgomery at flex.
63:36You actually have really strong starters. Your bench was Chris Godwin, Mikhail Lemon, Matthew Golden, Stefan Diggs with Keaton Mitchell and Emmanuel Wilson.
63:43I mean, I guess technically, I mean, Dave Montgomery you could use as like the pseudo starter.
63:47The rest of the RBs are a little bit weak.
63:50But this is like, this is still a relatively strong team.
63:53I think you mentioned this, your starters were ranked fourth.
63:56Number one at tight end. Number three at flex.
63:58Number four at wide receiver. It really didn't like your RB quarterback construction.
64:02It doesn't like Jackson Dart, which whatever. Yeah, any of your thoughts on your team real quick and then I'm going to get Erickson.
64:09So the one thing that we haven't really talked about yet that I do agree with is it says pick analysis when
64:15you can talk about what you should have swapped and potentially got more point advantage.
64:19And the number one thing I suggest is to instead of Jackson Dart, Keaton Mitchell is to do Daring Price and Dak Prescott.
64:25I would do that 10 times out of 10 and that would have vaulted me to first place over the like over you.
64:32And I'm not even saying that to be like, haha.
64:35It's just like I am saying that to like, I actually 100% agree with that.
64:39Like if I knew Dak Prescott was still going to be there in round 10, absolutely would have taken Price as a
64:45running back or maybe even a wide receiver at that point and just waited on Dak for that value because he's got
64:51similar upside to Jackson Dart all from his arm.
64:53Well, mostly all from his arm, but I think both of them could be neck and neck if Dak stays healthy.
64:59We know he's going to probably throw for 5,000 yards.
65:02So 10th round, that's a steal. That's beyond a steal.
65:05Erickson, any thoughts on this build from Sealy? I like it.
65:08I like that he hit with the, I mean, having two Rams receivers is definitely a little fragile, but again, you're talking
65:14about the buys Nakua Kyron Devante, Travion Henderson, Matthew Golden, Emmanuel Wilson.
65:17I am. You should have just read the left.
65:20You better pray that. And again, like we mentioned on that previous show, nobody should care about the bye weeks.
65:25You figure it out when you get there. Yeah.
65:28Sorry. Continue. Hope Matthew Stafford has a good back doctor and that the Rams are just keeping that back ready to go.
65:34Cause it could be. It's the red light therapy, man.
65:37Yeah, that's right. Get it. Get a red light.
65:39That's what you got to do. I think, I think maybe Jake ran into something similar to me where, when I was
65:46looking at my, not to make this about my draft, but to again, kind of highlight the pick analysis tool.
65:51Something that I noticed with my team was I was the last, when I picked Trevor Lawrence in round seven as quarterback,
65:57there was no other quarterbacks that went off the board till round 11.
66:01Right. Yeah. So to me, it's like, oh man, like, yeah, I like Trevor Lawrence, but you sacrifice so much value with
66:07that when you could have gotten Dak rock party.
66:09Yes. I think it is a tier down, but it's weighed in appropriately with the cost that you're paying for those quarterbacks.
66:16You're not paying up for that tier down where I could have had Kyle pits.
66:20Again, I have some issues with him, but if he's still going to be a late round tight end in round nine,
66:26where you got him Welsh, which is why you finished first.
66:29If I drafted Kyle pits and not Trevor Lawrence kind of in exchanging that type of the way that those players were
66:35drafted, I would have gotten much higher rank. But with Jake's team specifically, I think getting lemon as a wide receiver three,
66:41I think on paper, that's always going to look and feel kind of shaky.
66:45Cause I was a rookie wide receiver, but I'm not going to be surprised if a couple of weeks go by and
66:51it's like, yeah, lemons a big part of this offense.
66:54And having to go in Adams is like a good baseline for, you know, well, and he got his real wide receiver
67:00three with his last pick of Stefan bigs. That's also very, very valid.
67:04So, and again, if this was three wide receiver, not two wide receiver, I would not have done the same.
67:09I will say one thing to what Andrew was pointing out too.
67:13I don't think most people in your average home league drafts would see quarterbacks wait that long before the second group started going.
67:19And the fact that only four teams have a bench quarterback that that doesn't seem to be the norm.
67:24Maybe, maybe not, but I took advantage of it.
67:27The bi-week issue reach. It didn't like Keaton Mitchell said three rounds earlier was that Drew DeLuca liked yours the most.
67:33As you mentioned, Bogman gave you a 95 out of 100.
67:36Love the Adams Montgomery Godwin picks in there. And your hates, there were no F hates, by the way.
67:41There was nobody that hated you like with an F grade.
67:44It was just in the D. So that's always like a relatively good sign.
67:48And finally, we don't need to go into much analysis here.
67:51We can look at the A team. This was my team that finished number one at quarterback Brock Purdy.
67:56My running backs were Devon Aitian and Quinchon Judkins.
67:59My wide receiver one and two were Justin Jefferson and Garrett Wilson.
68:02I got Kyle Pitts in the ninth round at tight end.
68:05Jalen Waddell was my flex and my bench was Swift Price and Kroski Merritt at running back.
68:10Waddell Robinson, Denzel Boston as my wide receiver backups.
68:12And then Bo Nix, I did take a secondary quarterback, giving me a 93 out of 100.
68:17Anybody want to say like super nice things about this draft?
68:20Anybody have any like extra super nice? Bueller? Crickets?
68:23Okay. The way you're done quarterback, you get that solid bench.
68:26Like no, like honestly, the fact that you have Waddell in your flex or Swift in your flex or Price in your
68:32flex, like, I mean, that's pretty appealing. I think your struggle is potentially Judkins as your RB2 or Garrett Wilson as high
68:38as your wide receiver two, but you have the depth to overcome that.
68:42Yeah. And that was kind of my strategy with a two wide receiver format was like, I'm more comfortable just going like heavy running back wide receiver.
68:49And we all know that like the tight ends and quarterbacks are going to fall a little bit.
68:54There's definitely a scenario where things could have worked a little bit worse.
68:58Like, where does it have you for your wide receiver two?
69:01Like, where do you rank for Garrett Wilson as wide receiver twos?
69:04You know what I'm saying? Number six, I think.
69:07Or no, I'm number three. It says three as my wide receiver two.
69:10No way. Yeah. It's interesting because you... No, I would take Zay, T, Tet, Adams.
69:14Sorry. Yeah. Hey, it sucks to suck, Seely, but sorry.
69:17It is what it is. Just to throw that out there, it has me with my wide receiver one and two ranked
69:2311th and 12th with Terry McLaurin and Mike Evans.
69:26I don't agree with that at all. Sucks to suck, dude.
69:29Sorry, Eric. You were going to say really nice things.
69:32You were going to say super nice things. Go ahead.
69:34I was going to say that you and Team 10 were the only two teams that started a two wide receiver roster
69:41with three wide receivers in the first four picks.
69:43And you came in first. Team 10 came in second to last handholding with me.
69:47So I do think that's interesting, even with a format that only requires two wide receivers.
69:52You went heavy on that position, filling in your flex immediately, and you made it work.
69:56Whereas this other person, Team 10, because they went early at quarterback and tight end, didn't make it work.
70:01So I think that's kind of an interesting perspective.
70:04If, okay, if you're going to go wide receiver heavy in a two start wide receiver league, you're probably better off punting
70:10quarterback and tight end and making up the running back value in the middle rounds where you're seeing some of these breakouts
70:16versus paying up for quarterback and tight end, which I did catch up at running back.
70:21Yeah. Yeah. I will also say too, that I think unless I'm reading the board wrong, Welsh is the only team that punted quarterback and tight end.
70:28Like there are some teams that paid up for one of those positions or both, but he is the only team at
70:34least glancing at this that punted quarterback and tight end.
70:37I thought I did, but I took Trevor Lawrence.
70:39Lawrence, yeah. Lawrence killed it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought you took like 10 tight ends.
70:44What happened? Yeah, you did. You took, but they're all a little bit later, but it was a quarterback.
70:49I was given number one bench, number one flex, kind of mid on the others.
70:53I didn't like my quarterback, obviously, but it, you know, I was up there.
70:57Expert opinion, or let's see, go back down. I had steals.
71:00It said Kyle Pitts, two rounds later, Brock Purdy, three rounds later, and Bo Nix.
71:05Those were all, and Denzel Boston is the number one consensus wide receiver in the sleeper ranks.
71:09Joshua Kimmel liked mine the most. Experts were A's Mick Chielella, who I definitely love seeing Mick on there, loving mine.
71:15And I didn't see any of you guys hating on mine, so I guess that's probably a key to you guys can experiment.
