0:00This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. The Fantasy Pros Best Ball Show is back.
0:05Myself, Tom Strachan, and the Mercurial Andrew Erickson next to me.
0:08We're going to be here live on Twitch every two weeks on Mondays at 2pm Eastern, drafting, talking all things best ball, everything that's happening in the NFL.
0:17Andrew, today we are drafting in the FFPC $35 Superflex contest, $100,000 up top.
0:21This contest also tied in premium, so a lot of different ways to build, which we're going to get into it, but
0:28this draft is about to get underway in a couple of minutes.
0:32And to kick off best ball season, to kick off our return to the Fantasy Pros channel, you have the 101.
0:38Could it get any better? Could not get any better.
0:41The sun is hot. The best ball streets are live and ready to go.
0:46We've got this room all filled up. I am so stoked to be here, Tom, and I'm ready with the 101 arm
0:52to maybe ruffle some feathers here and there. Maybe not just go right after the ADP, but we shall see how things shake out.
1:00Yeah, absolutely. I mean, this contest, you see a lot of different builds.
1:04I did a bunch of these pre-draft in the same contest, but a smaller format.
1:08I've done a bunch of these since the contest launched a few weeks ago.
1:13And you came onto my channel, the Fantasy Sanctuary, which everyone could go and watch.
1:17We drafted a team together last week and we landed at the 103, which is where I'm picking today.
1:23Last week, you strongly campaigned for Drake May at the 103 because of your conviction in him.
1:29We had a really fun draft, ended up with a quarterback room.
1:32I think it was Drake May, Cam Ward. And then we pushed things a little bit more and ended up with J.J.
1:39McCarthy as our third quarterback, really kind of leaning into those guys.
1:43So if you're going quarterback out of the gate on this one, do you envisage yourself pushing quarterback further on after that?
1:50Or do you think this is going to be one of those situations where quarterback ADP might lend to a double quarterback start?
1:57I think I'm going to probably push quarterback down the road.
2:00I think the greatest thing about the FFPC in terms of the way that the scoring is formatted is there's a lot
2:07of other players that can potentially catch some of these quarterbacks.
2:10When it comes to the scoring, you have the tight ends getting one and a half points per reception.
2:16You have full PPR, so wide receivers and running backs.
2:19I do think that those things matter when it comes to breaking down quarterbacks in the super flex format against the other
2:26positional players because they just can't lap the field as easy when you compare it to like a half PPR.
2:32Where quarterbacks just reign supreme and it really takes the elite of the elite skill position players to even close the gap.
2:39So I think that the FFPC does a great job of kind of flattening the scoring where the other positions actually do have an argument to be made.
2:48Like you should go this position because not just or you shouldn't be just going after quarterback because it is super flex
2:55because it's super flex with these other scoring adjustments, which I really like.
2:59Yeah, definitely. And we'll get into that in a second.
3:02You're going to be 10 seconds away from getting on the clock.
3:06If this draft board doesn't look like the FFPC draft boards to you, that's because we are using Fantasy Pro's draft assistant.
3:12We've seen this up with FFPC drafts. And now you can draft literally from within this room.
3:18You can see our rankings. You can see the best available players, track what roster needs you've got, get pick by pick recommendations.
3:25You can select which rankings you want. It's all there for you.
3:29Everything you need in the draft assistant keeps you on the ball when you are on the clock.
3:34So whether you're drafting best ball, dynasty, super flex, it's all there.
3:38Redraft fantasypros.com forward slash assistant. Download Fantasy Pro's app.
3:41Sync your draft and use a draft assistant to make smarter picks in real time, which is what Andrew is about to
3:47do right now as this draft gets underway. 60 seconds per pick.
3:51So a little bit slower than some drafts out there.
3:54That just gives us more time to talk about these picks.
3:58And Andrew, you said you were going to ruffle some feathers straight away.
4:02You're going in with your boy Drake Maye followed by Bijan Robinson of 102.
4:06I mean, Drake May over Josh Allen. Like I'm in Lamar Jackson slappy, like big Ravens homer here, but I can't pass
4:13up Josh Allen when he falls to the 103.
4:16Make the case for why you would be drafting Drake May ahead of Josh Allen.
4:20Yeah, so I thought about this for a little bit of time because I was trying to think, man, am I just being a Patriots homer?
4:28Am I just trying to be a hot take artist by taking Drake May over Josh Allen?
4:34And at first I was thinking about capitulating here and being just, okay, just take Josh Allen.
4:39He's the one-on-one across super flex. I think we talked about this on your show where we were talking about the top four in super flex.
4:47And I think I was, yeah, like take Josh Allen, don't really overthink it.
4:51But then I thought about his trajectory. And right now when you look at Josh Allen, so much of his fantasy production
4:58and being the QB one has come from the rushing, right?
5:02Scoring double digit rushing touchdowns seemingly every single season.
5:04And this is from the coach speak index. Basically Joe Brady's view on Josh Allen as a physical runner.
5:10And he said, yeah, there's going to come a time in his career where his legs aren't going to be able to do what they can do.
5:19He's going to have to become a true pocket passer.
5:22We're not there yet. So I don't think that the legs are going to fall off anytime soon.
5:27At least that's the offensive coordinator or the new head coach Joe Brady is saying that.
5:32Now, eventually it's going to happen. It happens to all these rushing quarterbacks as they start to age up.
5:38They do start to see that rushing production fall off.
5:41And maybe this is the year for that, for Josh Allen.
5:45Maybe it is only eight rushing touchdowns instead of 15 or 14 rushing touchdowns.
5:49And then maybe he falls off a little bit from that QB one overall spot.
5:54You look at the passing numbers last year. Yeah.
5:56Lowe is across the board. 215.8 passing yards per game.
6:00Six year low touchdown passes 25. And his fantasy points from the passing were lower.
6:04Adding DJ Moore is obviously there to boost the receiving numbers for Josh Allen.
6:08But the foot injury at the end of the season.
6:12He's playing Houston in week one. And the Bills offense last year was the league's healthiest offense.
6:17Who was the healthiest offense 2024? I hate to remind you, Tom, but it was the Baltimore Ravens.
6:22And what happened the following year? It wasn't good.
6:25So I feel like, yeah, maybe I'm stretching it a little bit here.
6:29But when I look at players that are still on the ascend, Drake May getting a player like A.J.
6:35Brown, who I think fits his skill set so perfectly to a T.
6:39You look at the splits with Jalen Hurts and A.J.
6:42Brown on the field. Hurts before last year, when things kind of got off the rails between A.J.
6:48Brown and Jalen Hurts, Hurts was averaging nearly 23 fantasy points per game when A.J.
6:52Brown was playing in those perspective games. You had Romeo Dobbs to the fold.
6:57Patriots red zone offense ranks inside the top 10 this year instead of in the bottom five of the league like it was last year.
7:05I could see Drake May flirting with 35 or 40 passing touchdowns.
7:08So given that he also adds value as a rusher, I wouldn't be surprised if next time this year we're talking about,
7:15well, who's the one on one Superflex quarterback leagues?
7:18It's Drake May and he's the consensus one on one.
7:21So for all those reasons, that's why I went with Drake May.
7:25But again, I think it is very, very close.
7:28And if I'm drafting a bunch of these different teams, which we want to be doing here in Best Ball Summer, I
7:34will try to get some exposure to Josh Allen.
7:37But for now, still taking Drake May. Yeah, I mean, look, I'm not going to push back too hard because I think
7:44there's always an argument to make for betting on ascending talent and betting on outcomes that we haven't seen before.
7:50It becomes too easy sometimes to just take the person who's done it.
7:54And Josh Allen has done it so consistently, like 41 Russian touchdowns over the last three years.
7:59It's a very comfortable click. And I fully understand why some people don't want to do that.
8:05But look, we've done these drafts enough that I know you're going to stand on your conviction.
8:10And Jamar Chase, you had him as wide receiver one a couple of years ago and you were taking him ahead of,
8:17I think it was Justin Jefferson at the time.
8:20You made a convincing argument about the red zone stats to reason why you were doing it.
8:25And it worked out well for you that year.
8:28So I'm not doing it simply because I think that from a best ball point of view, I can have exposure to both at the moment.
8:36I think that, you know, Drake may have seen fall as far as like 107 in this contest, but I'm not going
8:43to push back too heavily on a man standing on his convictions.
8:46Shout out AwesomeDev and everyone else in the chat.
8:49AwesomeDev, really appreciate you being a subscriber over here on Twitch with us.
8:53And Dread S, Bunting FF and everyone else, you guys rock.
8:56We're a couple of picks away as this draft is kind of playing out pretty normally by these kind of standards.
9:03We had Drake May with Andrew, Bijan Robinson, Josh Allen, Jameer Gibbs, Jamar Chase, Puka Nakua, Lamar Jackson, Jackson Smith and Jigba,
9:10CMC, Jaden Daniels, Jonathan Taylor, Joe Burrow, Trey McBride, this is Tight End Premium, Amon Rassane Brown, Brock Bowers, Ashton Gentey, Jalen
9:17Hurts, Justin Jefferson, James Cook, CeeDee Lamb, Caleb Williams goes off just before me.
9:21And then at the 103, I am back on the board.
9:24Now, this is a little bit of a glut of quarterbacks in this kind of area of the draft.
9:30And it can be really tempting to just hit that sort of double tap on quarterback.
9:35But historically in this contest, that's been a strategy that's worked out really poorly.
9:40So I'm looking down at Devon Achan, Saquon Barkley, Jackson Dart, your boys, Amarian Hampton and Chase Brown.
9:45I'm going to go with Devon Achan here. I haven't drafted very much of him.
9:50I understand the arguments that you could possibly see less receiving work in this offense without Tua checking down to him so much.
9:57But I think that there's also the possibility that having Malik Willis back there opens up so many more rushing lanes because
10:04the defense is having to actually account for a quarterback rather than just sitting back and just intercepting everything that Tua throws his way.
10:11All the Tua turned the ball over. That's what he has been in recent years.
10:16Yeah, Achan is tricky for me because, yes, the boost in rushing efficiency, especially how efficient Achan has already been as a rusher at the NFL level.
10:24I do really wonder what his target share is going to be.
10:28Yep. Because of Willis not maybe checking the ball down, but also the fact that the receivers that are there, besides Greg
10:35Dulcich, are definitely not people that we're super excited about.
10:38So I'm on the clock now, so I'm going to make my pick.
10:42So staring down Justin Herbert and Maureen Hampton, Saquon Barkley, Kenneth Walker, according to the Draft Wizard, they're all the top picks in this one.
10:50So what's it going to be, Andrew? So I went with Amarian Hampton with my first pick at the 212, get my running back.
10:57It was a little bit of a running back run that you started.
11:01I was thinking about double-clicking Chase Brown and O'Marion Hampton, but Chase Brown ended up going into the 211.
11:07So now it's me staring at, do I do double quarterback and just kind of lock up Herbert and Drake May, which
11:14I think I just – I love Justin Herbert so much this year.
11:18I think I'm just going to do it, honestly, and see how I kind of have to catch up at the other
11:25positions, at wide receiver specifically, because I won't have that necessarily with a high-end draft pick.
11:30But we'll see. Yeah, I mean, the one thing that you can kind of say is, okay, if you're investing two of
11:36your first three picks in the quarterback position, it kind of locks you in saying, I'm going to push some of the
11:43quarterbacks three and four later on, and I'll go over roster requirements in a second.
11:48First, I'm going to lock in my guy, Drake London.
11:51I think I'm sitting on something like 38% exposure to Drake London so far post-draft, but there's a lot more draft season
11:58left, and I'll balance that out over time. So yes, this is the FFPC Superflex contest.
12:03It is also tight-end premium, so you get an extra half-point PPR on top of the regular full PPR point for a reception.
12:10Your starting lineup needs to be the regular quarterback position, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, and then two flex positions.
12:17One is the Superflex, but can also be running back, wide receiver, or tight end, and then the second flex can be
12:24running back, wide receiver, or tight end. So because of the nature of the tight end premium, because of how high those
12:31scores can be with Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, Colson Loveland when these guys really hit, you can survive sometimes without going heavy
12:38at quarterback, and because wide receiver isn't necessarily more important than running back in this format.
12:43You know, like when we draft on Underdog or DraftKings, you can be drafting three wide receivers into your starting lineup as
12:50well as the flex, compared to only two running backs plus the flex.
12:54So it does balance it out a little bit more here.
12:57Yeah, I'm always interested in this competition. I think it's definitely going to be a fun one.
13:02Shout out to the chat. Absolutely loving the people we've got here.
13:06We've got Haynes, who I know is drafting from the 107.
13:09He's been in a bunch of these drafts with me lately and has been picking some very smart stuff.
13:15And we've also got Dredd S saying, First strong gust of wind in Atlanta and tour will be on IR for concussion number 23.
13:23Hopefully not. We don't like to see anyone concussed, but where are you standing on the Falcons quarterback room?
13:29I've been quite consistently saying, I think that this is going to be tour because he's healthy and because I just don't particularly rate Michael Penix.
13:37But I kind of see it from both sides.
13:39But I think both are going to be OK for Drake London and Bijan Robinson.
13:44If it's tour, he's going to get the ball out quickly.
13:47If it's Michael Penix, he's going to push the ball downfield.
13:51And we saw him average really good points with Drake London.
13:54I think for me, Tua is probably going to open the year as a starter.
13:59That's what I would guess. He's probably healthier of the two quarterbacks.
14:03He's more accurate than Michael Penix is, at least at the short to intermediate level.
14:07However, I think that eventually the Tua starting will kind of run its course where, OK, what are we getting out of this guy?
14:15Yeah, he's putting up some numbers, maybe some numbers in garbage time, but the Falcons aren't necessarily winning a lot of games.
14:22So I think it still makes sense to look at the younger player in Michael Penix, someone they invested a first round draft pick into that.
14:30Hey, can this be our guy when he is fully healthy?
14:33I think Penix had his moments at times last year when he was healthy in the lineup.
14:38He was much better, in my opinion, than Kirk Cousins was.
14:42And it's interesting, when you look at his last two seasons with your guy, Drake London, the guy has basically been averaging
14:49near elite fantasy production, nearly 20 points per game in full PPR with Michael Penix.
14:53So I think that if you are a Drake London guy, I think you actually prefer Penix than having Tua on your center.
15:00I think Tua is going to be the driver of Bijan Robinson getting eight, nine, ten targets, potentially a game where you're
15:07going to see bonkers receiving numbers from the Falcons running back.
15:11And that's why you feel good about taking him 101 is because you're hoping it's Tua as the quarterback.
15:16So I could see like stark differences in terms of how the targets kind of shift dramatically because Tua and Michael Penix
15:23just don't really throw to the same part of the field.
15:27Like Penix pushes the ball downfield and Tua really doesn't.
15:30So I think that although both guys can be point guards, distribute the ball to the guys we care about in fantasy,
15:37I think maybe it does change as the season progresses.
15:40And I would bet on Penix more likely being the starter to end the year where Tua starts the season.
15:46So that's always something that you will want to be cognizant of when you're in best ball formats, especially the ones that
15:53are very dependent on weeks 15, 16, 17, where I think you're more likely to see Penix than necessarily Tua.
15:59Yeah, speaking of weeks 15, 16, 17. So this is like most best ball tournaments.
16:04We're doing week one to 14, 12 team league with this group of people we're drafting against.
16:09Then the top two teams will advance out of this.
16:12Hopefully myself and Andrew or Haynes or anybody else who's joining us for this draft.
16:17Let us know in the chat if you are in this draft with us.
16:21Then after that, the top two teams go into a new pod of 12 and that repeats until week 17 when it is an 84 person final.
16:29$100,000 up top. Drops off pretty swift after that.
16:3215K to second, 7K to third, 4K to fourth and fifth place.
16:36So it's always top heavy on FFPC, but there's a lot of good payouts for making it through to the various stages of the playoffs.
16:44Like if you make it to week 15 but get eliminated, you'll get $100 cash or $125 draft entry to this year.
16:50The $125 drafts are a lot of fun. I'm going to be doing a lot of those on my channel this year.
16:57Make it to week 16, you get $300 or 3125 entries and make it a week 17 with that final and you'll get at least $500 minimum cash.
17:06So I am back on the clock here. This is the fourth round for our lovely audio listeners.
17:11And I'm sitting here with Josh Allen, Devon Achan, Drake London.
17:15Top of ADP right now is Malik Neighbors, who of course continues to fall on the back of some pretty iffy reports about his health.
17:23Josh Jacobs, who continues to fall for reasons which are not particularly fun to get into.
17:28And then Tyler Shutt, Kyron Williams, Baker Mayfield, Travis Etienne, or Travis HN I should say these days.
17:33Chris Olave. I'm going to take Tyler Shutt just because he feels like he's in for a great leap this year.
17:40I really like the Kellen Moore offense. This has become quite a popular take.
17:44If you've been paying attention to fantasy football at this point in the year, there's nothing new here.
17:50But like the Saints played incredibly fast to end the season.
17:53Tyler Shutt was absolutely on fire. And it feels like every time I've been in a draft, somebody else has been getting Tyler Shutt.
18:00So I want to lead into that and go and grab him.
18:04And also tie up my second quarterback position because in a few of these drafts, I've pushed it a little too far.
18:11And we're in quite a QB-hungry draft board this one as we get back to Andrew's pick.
18:16I took Tyler Shutt as the QB 18. Obviously, you've got your two quarterbacks already locked and loaded, Andrew.
18:22Drake May, Amari and Hampton, Justin Herbert. What are you going to do here back at the 412?
18:28Did somebody take Zay Flowers? Because that's who I want to take.
18:31Travis A. Chan went next at 411. So, yeah.
18:34I'm locking in. I think, yeah, you've got Zay Flowers.
18:37He's still there on the board. Yeah. I'm going to lock in Zay Flowers as my first pick.
18:43And since I'm picking back to back, I'm just going to wait a little bit as I peru the draft board to see.
18:50So I don't need quarterback. There is an opportunity for me to go tight end well and actually coach in the right lower hand corner.
18:58Actually had a little notification to me that said that the tight end tier is coming.
19:03And this is kind of that elite tier when we're talking about with Tyler Warren as kind of that last guy.
19:09Even when you look at Mike Clay's projections, you can see a stark drop off after Tyler Warren towards the next tier of tight end.
19:17So I think that's the direction I'm actually going to go here.
19:21I think I'm going to double. I'm going to go with Flowers.
19:24Six seconds. Five, four, three. I got him. I got him.
19:28I always get my guy. So get Zay Flowers.
19:31And then, yeah, I think I'm going to go with Tyler Warren.
19:34Again, the one and a half points per reception.
19:37And Tyler Warren is one of these players that how does he get his production?
19:42I think that that's something that matters when it comes to tight end premium because the premium can change based on format.
19:49You really want guys that aren't the touchdown dependent players because I don't think that this this format really this format doesn't really help that.
19:56It's really guys that could you see him having six, seven, eight catches in a particular contest?
20:02Maybe if Alec Pierce isn't the guy and Josh Downs is still regulated to, hey, still not running a full complement of snaps.
20:09Well, Tyler Warren, I think still has a pretty good shot of potentially leading this Colts team in offensive production.
20:15So I'm going to go with him here at the start of round five.
20:19Yeah. Like occasionally you'd see people talking up his taste and he'll bet a bet in time premium.
20:25Well, no, because he just doesn't catch the ball.
20:28So it's it's it's always the case for you on those guys who have a volume hogs and there is a tier
20:34gap where then you want to wait. It's definitely not worth chasing the tight end production.
20:39But, you know, in this format, it's 20 rounds.
20:42Generally speaking, the historic data shows for QB builds for tight end builds tends to work out as the best sort of builds out there.
20:50So I'm always kind of keeping that in my mind a little bit, but you never want to be tied to it too much.
20:57Andrew, I'm one pick away. I'm currently got Josh Allen, Devon, Ochan, Drake, Lunder and Tyler Shook.
21:03But I want to circle back to Zay Flowers because he's one of the guys that you've kind of laid down the,
21:09you know, everything early and said Zay Flowers is one of your guys for this season.
21:14What's the ceiling and what makes you so high on him?
21:18I just think that he is a super talented wide receiver that has improved every single step of the way during his NFL career.
21:25When he was coming out of Boston College, he reminded me a lot of Antonio Brown, just someone that could get open, create yards after the catch.
21:34Maybe not the biggest guy, the most threatening guy.
21:36But besides that, he checks off all the other boxes.
21:39And I think that I'm open to the idea that maybe he does see a more involved red zone role with Declan
21:46Doyle stepping in as the new offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens.
21:50Flowers had over 1,200 receiving yards last year and everyone else that did that had at least eight touchdowns.
21:56He was the one guy that kind of fell short of that.
22:00So when we're looking at what's the most predictive number when it comes to, okay, finding that next player in terms of
22:06who's due for some positive touchdown regression. Zay Flowers is one of those guys because he's doing everything else.
22:12He's getting yards. He's being really efficient. Yards per route run last year.
22:16The only two guys that were ahead of him, Jason and Pukunakua.
22:20Maybe you've heard of them. They were pretty good in fantasy last year.
22:24So the peripherals for Zay Flowers are there for him.
22:27He's got a stud quarterback. Maybe you've heard of him, Lamar Jackson.
22:31I do love that guy. To get a player of Zay Flowers' potential upside.
22:35And I think, okay, maybe if he doesn't hit, I think that he's going to at least return on where you drafted him.
22:42Whether that's in the fifth round here or a little bit in the fourth or end of third round in some one quarterback league.
22:50So I think the floor is really high. And a lot of times what ends up happening is, yeah, this guy has
22:57a really high floor every single year. And then one year he has that touchdown season.
23:02Or he just scores a bunch of explosive plays.
23:04And that's how you get the special type of JSN season from last year.
23:09Getting targets here. Who is he competing for targets with?
23:12In this Ravens offense? Rashad Bateman. It's not going to happen.
23:15And then you have two rookies that they drafted, Mark Andrews.
23:19How much does he have left in the tank?
23:21So I just love Flowers' outlet for this year.
23:24Yeah, I mean, you look at what he did last year.
23:28Sixth in receiving yards. Third in deep receiving yards.
23:30Second in play action yards. Third in motion yards.
23:33And he did all that with Lamar Jackson banged up.
23:36I'm betting on Lamar Jackson this year. And yes, I am a Ravens fan.
23:41So there's an element of homerism. But you look at what Lamar Jackson's done in the two years that he had a new offensive coordinator.
23:48He was MVP in both those seasons. Like, he seems to thrive with that kind of freshness.
23:54And the offensive line is going to be greatly improved.
23:57The Ravens were just an awful team in the red zone last year.
24:01I really would like to see them lean into Zay Flowers down there a little more.
24:06Obviously, he's not the biggest guy. But he can get open easily.
24:09And sooner or later touchdown regression is going to help him.
24:13Because he's been tackled so many times inside the five-yard line and around there.
24:17But it's painful as a Ravens fan. We're kind of approaching the end of round five now.
24:22The draft so far. I'm going to pick back up with the chat in a minute.
24:27Because there's some stuff I want to talk about.
24:30But for myself, I've got Josh Allen, Devon Ochan, Drake London, Tyler Shook and Chris Alave.
24:35Andrew, you've got Drake Mayer, Marion Hampton, Justin Herbert, Zay Flowers, Tyler Warren.
24:39Sitting here at the beginning of round six, we've got 21 quarterbacks off the board.
24:44Jordan Love goes just after Malik Willis. We've had 16 wide receivers go.
24:48Devonta Smith. Oh, sorry. Emekareg Buka just went as wide receiver 17.
24:52Javonte Williams is running back 18. It does tend to be a bit more of a running back heavy platform FFPC than underdog.
24:59But this year in general, we're seeing running backs pushed up.
25:02How are you feeling about your kind of overall lay of things through six rounds?
25:07Well, through five full rounds at this point, Andrew.
25:10I mean, am I already regretting taking Drake May first overall?
25:13The thing with me is, because I think that it's a very strong tier at the top.
25:18We talked about this on your show, Josh Allen, the two other running backs, Bijon and Gibbs.
25:24I think Drake May kind of deserves in that kind of conversation.
25:27Looking at my roster here, how much more would I like it if instead Justin Herbert was my QB1?
25:33And instead of Drake May, I had Jameer Gibbs.
25:36And then I had Gibbs, Hampton, Flowers. I'm interested to see if that, because we'll get the draft review basically from Giraffe Wizard after we're done here.
25:44And I'm curious if they're going to recommend like, hey, if you drafted Gibbs instead of Drake May, you would have gained X amount more points.
25:52So that's something that I'm just looking at initially.
25:55Besides that, though, I'm really happy with the players I've gotten.
25:59And I'm excited I got Tyler Warren where I did.
26:02I think there's a gap between him and Harold Fannin, kind of.
26:05I know Fannin was better last year, but I think the Browns quarterback situation is much.
26:10Actually, well, Daniel Jones is coming off the injury, so maybe it's not as different.
26:15But I still like where I got Warren and then getting Xay Flowers just talk, you know, wax poetic about him as well.
26:22Yeah, Tucker Craft goes off the board a couple of picks before me, which is deeply disappointing to see.
26:28The guys in the chat asking about kind of Malik Neighbors, both of us passed him over.
26:33I took Chris Olavi as the wide receiver 13, then Tee Higgins went wide receiver 14 before Malik Neighbors.
26:39Are you touching Malik Neighbors or is this just one where you're happy to let other people take the risk until we get a little more clarity?
26:48I think that I'm willing to let other people take the risk.
26:51I don't know if the upside is warranted right now where he's still going in drafts when I'm expecting him to open
26:58the year on the pup list or PUP, however you want to call it.
27:02I know I'm calling it the pup list. She's got a new puppy, so just puppy is on my mind.
27:09However you want to clarify that designation. And even when he comes back, when are we going to get the elite production?
27:15Is the when we're talking about Malik Neighbors heading into next year, is it going to be, well, we knew he was coming off this ACL injury.
27:24It was not a simple cleanup surgery. 2027 is the year Neighbors bounces back.
27:28I feel like that's pretty I feel like that might actually just end up happening.
27:33So I think right now I'm OK with passing on Neighbors, especially because I don't think his price is going to be going up anytime soon.
27:41So I'm not in a rush to try to get him on my teams.
27:45Yeah, that's it. It's a long it's a long basketball season.
27:49We'll definitely get to that. I took Lad McConkie there as the wide receiver 20 in the sixth round.
27:54I'm very high on Lad McConkie this year. I think that if you're looking for a guy who can make the jump
28:01up to the top 10 wide receivers, I think everything sets up well for Lad McConkie with Mike McDaniel now, the offensive
28:08coordinator, the Chargers offensive line being healthy. Justin Herbert having that breath of fresh air.
28:13Greg Roman was never the guy who was going to get a high volume passing game to Lad McConkie.
28:19Perhaps Keenan Allen signs with the Chargers in another few weeks and dashes all my hopes.
28:24But I think that you get that positive touchdown regression for Lad McConkie in the red zone if you get Justin Herbert
28:30outplaying the projections and hitting 40 touchdowns for like the first time since the rookie season.
28:35Absolutely in the realms of possibility. So I have Josh Allen, Devon Ochan, Drake London, Tyler Shook, Chris Olave and Lad McConkie feeling pretty good about this.
28:44If I hadn't have gone wide receiver, I would have been going running back there.
28:48Don't want to push running back too far. We're already down to RB 22.
28:53David Montgomery was the guy I was eyeing between him and McConkie.
28:56But Montgomery went one pick before me and ultimately let me play the ceiling play.
29:01You were on the board at the turn. You added Jalen Waddell and Mike Evans to your wide receiver room with Zay Flowers in there.
29:09Andrew, how are you feeling about that start through seven rounds now?
29:13Yeah, so those are the two next highest ranked guys I had at wide receiver.
29:17This is kind of an interesting range for the running backs where that's definitely a position that I need to get more exposure to.
29:25I only have one running back heading into now.
29:27I'll be in the eighth round. So I thought about some of the running backs here, but I don't know.
29:34I feel like I can just poke a lot of holes in a lot of the running backs that are at the
29:40top of the board, whether it's some of these second year guys.
29:44I know I like Basial Tootin a lot, but do I like him as a lock for more production than some of these receivers?
29:52I just feel pretty good about Waddell's outlook in the Denver Broncos offense.
29:56They just throw significantly so much more than Miami did last year.
29:59Waddell was still really efficient last season. And Mike Evans, I think, is just going to be a touchdown machine.
30:06I think especially in best ball, like that's where Mike Evans has just been so good over the last couple of years
30:12because it's feast or famine with him. He's going to have some games where he disappears.
30:17The defense is really trying to take him away.
30:20He is older. He's not getting any younger. So but to start the year, especially if George Kittle is limited coming back
30:27from his Achilles injury, I know he's targeting week one.
30:30I mean, Brock Purdy averaged the second most passing touchdowns in the NFL last year behind only Matthew Stafford.
30:36It's kind of under the radar because he didn't play the whole season.
30:40But when he was healthy, eight or nine games, over 2.2 passing touchdowns per game.
30:45I think Evans was brought in there for a reason to be a red zone monster.
30:50So he's going to catch a lot of touchdowns.
30:52And every time he does, he's going to be hitting that best ball lineup.
30:57Yeah, I think it's a fair price as well when you're kind of talking.
31:01What is he? Why receive a 22? I don't have a problem with that.
31:05I think the days of a thousand yards are probably gone.
31:09But if he can get into the red zone and get into the end zone consistently, he'll be fine.
31:15I use my seventh round pick on DeAndre Swift.
31:17I was writing an article this morning for fantasypros.com talking about running backs that I'm trying to draft a bit more often.
31:24And I think that DeAndre Swift is not somebody that I've ever really enjoyed drafting or wanted to draft a lot of.
31:31But at this point, under Ben Johnson offense, like when you compare him to Kyle Monongai, Swift had a higher explosive run
31:38rate, a better missed tackles force rate, generated more yards before contact, and was just a better running back all around.
31:44Yes, Kyle Monongai could make a bigger second year leap or so, but I'm still betting on Swift being the veteran and seeing more of the work.
31:53But yes, chat definitely weighing in on plenty of this, and we are loving it.
31:5774, appreciate you subscribing to the channel over here on Twitch, I should say.
32:02Be like 74. Subscribe. We're going to be doing these Best Bowl shows every two weeks until the season starts.

32:17It helps support the channel. It helps myself and Andrew bring you more of this content.
32:22It unlocks different emojis. Subscribing really helps. Gets you ad-free watching as well.
32:26Let's keep these streams going. So, Andrew, we are rolling into round eight.
32:30This draft ticking along at a nice pace so far tonight.
32:33Tuba Hubbard goes off the board as RB27. Your team, Drake Mayer, Marion Hampton, Justin Herbert, Zay Flowers, Tyler Warren, Jalen Waddle, Mike Evans.
32:41My team, Josh Allen, Devon Ochan, Drake London, Tyler Shook, Chris Olave, Ladd McConkie, DeAndre Swift.
32:46Looking at the teams in this room, there's only two teams that have pulled the third quarterback trigger so far.
32:52We've got the team at the 10 spot, which is Jayden Daniels, Brock Bowers, Dak Prescott, Jeremiah Love, Kyron Williams, Garrett Wilson, CJ Stroud.
32:59The team at the four slot, which is just the one wide receiver in Luford Burden, but they have Jameer Gibbs, Caleb
33:06Williams, Saquon Barkley, Bo Nix, Baker Mayfield, David Montgomery, and Luford Burden.
33:10Do you feel like you would have liked your team more if you'd taken a third quarterback by now, or do you
33:17prefer to push that third quarterback as long as you can?
33:20Let me see which quarterbacks are left, first of all, before I make any glaring statements about, well, because again, I think that there are some decent guys.
33:29I am probably, I mean, I don't like to admit this, but kind of like Geno Smith this year to put up
33:36some decent numbers with some of these Jets offensive playmakers.
33:39My concern with him is just the bench risk, where if the Jets just fall so far out of contention, because it
33:46seems like very, it seems pretty clear to me that the Aaron Glenn is attached to Geno Smith as long as he
33:52remains the head coach of the Jets. I mean, you don't call him like, he's going to lead us to the promised land.
34:00You know, you don't say that if it's not your guy or ride or die, whereas the Jets GM is like, yeah,
34:06we're really open to seeing what we got with Klubnik.
34:09Very interested to see this guy, see what he can do.
34:13So it seems kind of like set in stone that, yeah, Geno's probably not going to be there during the playoff weeks
34:20for me, but along the way, can he provide some spike weeks during some of the, either Herbert's bye week or Drake Mays bye week?
34:27I think Geno Smith can provide some production. And then Mendoza, I think that Kirk Cousins is washed, man.
34:33I am, I, I think that they might start him week one or week two, but I think we're going to see Mendoza sooner rather than later.
34:42I think that he's going to be really effective in this Clint Kubiak offense.
34:46Well, you talked up Geno. I was tempted to take him before we got to your pick, but I'm, I'm going with George Kittle.
34:53All the medical reports that we've seen out there seem to suggest that he's going to be back.
34:59Maybe not me. He says he wants to be back for week one for the game in Australia.
35:05Maybe it's not quite that early, but I think that we see him very early on in the season.
35:11And even if he's not quite as effective as he was, if you like, I'm getting him at the tight end 10.
35:17In this format where tight end scoring can be so good, if you can get volume, if you can get the touchdowns, it helps separate so much.
35:26And I'm very much willing to say, okay, I'm probably going to draft four tight ends in this team because I didn't
35:33take my first one until round eight. And I'm very much okay with that.
35:37Jacoby Brissett goes off the board to the team at the two spot who is yet to draft a wide receiver.
35:43They've got Bijan Robinson, Chase Brown, Colson Loveland, Travis Achan, Harold Fanning, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold, Jacoby Brissett.
35:49Leaving it to you, Andrew, on the turn to decide what you're going to do.
35:54Just the one running back, just the one tight end and two quarterbacks so far.
35:58Where are you taking us on this pick? Yeah.
36:01So I talked about Gino, talked about Mendoza. That is the direction I'm going here with the quarterback.
36:07So I actually did go with Mendoza in this particular, I think I like him a little bit more for this build
36:13because I feel that I'm very strong at quarterback as it is.
36:17So I don't necessarily need to take a, I think Gino probably has like a higher floor in terms of case.
36:24I know he's going to probably give me some weeks to start the year, but thinking about those playoff weeks, maybe Mendoza
36:30can really be a difference maker during those weeks.
36:33Cause I definitely feel he'll be starting in those games.
36:36Whereas Gino Smith, I'm not feeling as much. So I have Gino Smith in a vacuum ranked ahead of Mendoza because I
36:43think that they'll probably start more games. But based on my roster, I think I do prefer Mendoza specifically a little bit more to this specific build.
36:52And then when it comes to, or I got to make my pick here.
36:56I'm going to be going with a, probably a running back here.
37:00So I'm going to go with, where is he?
37:02I got to find him on my board before.
37:05So we've got Ramondre Stevenson, RJ Harvey, Tony Pollard, Rico Dowdle, Kenneth Gamewell are all the top running backs and Kalmanongai all hovering around there.
37:13Andrew, you all drafted Ramondre Stevenson. Oh, Hey, at least he's a Patriot.
37:17That's fine. I can, I can live with that.
37:20At least as a running back, like, cause I know I need to draft a running back.
37:25I was trying to pull up Rashad White, but maybe I can actually get him at a different time.
37:31Either way. I think you'd be all right. I think it's fine.
37:35It's fine. Yeah. I mean, if I don't draft him and of course I'm sat in front of you, we've got Haynes definitely in this draft.
37:43Bunting FF saying, I don't play a lot of best ball.
37:46Is it a big deal if I have three players on a bye week for week 11?
37:51I mean, it is if we're all quarterbacks or if we're all tight ends, but generally, if not with 20 roster spots,
37:58you should be able to overcome three. You might want to keep an eye on that as we go forward.
38:04Speaking of bye weeks, I'm kind of fine at the minute.
38:08Andrew, how are yours sitting? I'm sitting down to a choice of Geno Smith or Aaron Rodgers as my quarterback three here
38:15because it feels like quarterbacks going to dry up quite quickly.
38:18And I think that I can probably make up the other positions I need to pay attention to after that.
38:24I am going to take Geno Smith. I think that Aaron Rodgers is probably going to be a bit better this year
38:31and the offense is going to be more potent.
38:34But yeah, slightly more faith in Geno. How's your bye week situation looking, Andrew?

40:39Visit goodtoknowfacts.org. I am looking right now, and I think I've been pretty good shape.
40:43I think everyone's kind of on different bye weeks.
40:46So I'm actually pretty good. My quarterbacks are on different bye weeks.
40:50So it's 7 for Herbert. May is 11. And Mendoza is bye week 13.
40:54So I'm feeling pretty good. And to the interesting that it was between Rodgers and Geno Smith.
40:59Again, I was perusing the projections again as I was doing.
41:03Because right now I'm working on my players to target article for the draft kit.
41:08That's going to be coming out, I think, next week.
41:11So the week of June 15th, we're going to have some more draft kit content for the 2026 season.
41:17Working on targets, starting with quarterbacks. And just looking at some of the projections, Aaron Rodgers has the second most pass attempts projected for this year.
41:25Because I thought about it. I'm like, you know what?
41:28Yeah, Mike McCarthy does like to dial up the passing game a decent amount.
41:32Now, is this more of the Ben Roethlisberger pass attempts where he throws them all like 600 times?
41:38But it's all within five yards of the line of scrimmage.
41:41So going back to liking Michael Pittman a decent amount this year.
41:45Just because I think he'll see a decent amount of volume.
41:48So I think Rodgers is interesting. Especially, I mean, Rodgers ninth round in a super flex.
41:53Not to say he's a league winner by any means.
41:56But someone that's of value. I mean, RJ Harvey's going around him.
42:00Jake Ferguson. Tua went two picks after him. He's probably not going to start the whole season.
42:05So, yeah, I don't love Rodgers in one quarterback.
42:08But like this late? Like, seems like he's a pretty good value.
42:12I mean, and we know that Rodgers had such heavy splits last year.
42:16He beat up on the poor teams and did pretty poorly against bad teams.
42:20But he's still going to play a decent chunk of poor teams.
42:24And when you're in super flex, I can live with that.
42:27The chat is absolutely popping today. Really appreciate all the new followers, guys like Haynes and ST Luttrell.
42:33Bunting, gifting memberships. You guys are absolutely rocking. And we had a question earlier about what Circle back to.
42:39Better call Bob asking, who's our breakout year two or three wide receiver this season?
42:43Andrew, anyone in particular in that sort of year two, year three range?
42:47Are you going to Marvin Harrison? I don't. Can you break out if Carson Beck is your quarterback?
42:53Like, I in the Devontae Adams role, like, dude, I don't man, I don't think that's going to happen.
42:59I'm trying to see him looking at some of my wide receivers.
43:03I've listed here just to kind of see if there's anyone that kind of stands out to me.
43:08He's a year two or year three guy. I'm sure there's someone that I'm just not like thinking.
43:14I mean, Ricky Piersol. Ricky Piersol will be one.
43:16Ricky Piersol, I would rather bet on. I think it's health with him, right?
43:21I think that he can play. He showed last year when he was healthy.
43:25I mean, he led the 49ers in receiving yards per game, which is a crazy stat.
43:30But he had a lot of high-end performances when he was healthy.
43:34I think low-hanging fruit is some of the second-year wide receivers that are being drafted pretty highly.
43:39Ibuka, Luther Burden, McMillan. I think T-Mac has a chance to jump into the elite.
43:44If Bryce Young just kind of takes a little bit more of a step forward.
43:48That Panthers offense kind of continues to improve year after year.
43:52So I think that he's like the clear-cut alpha.
43:55And I think there's other receivers like Coker and Brazel.
43:58I think that just kind of opens things up for T-Mac to just absolutely feast when he gets one-on-one matchups.
44:04So, again, those guys aren't under the radar. Josh Downs is not – he's a year four guy, right?
44:10He would be another guy I think is interesting.
44:13Yeah, because he had the great rookie year. Then he had the year where he got banged up.
44:18Then he had last year where, you know, only played sort of 60% of snaps still.
44:23Had a really impressive yards per route run but just wasn't out there enough.
44:27And, yeah, he's definitely somebody that I'm very interested in this year.
44:31I think that the team is saying enough positive things about him that I want to make sure I've got plenty of Josh Downs.
44:39And it's not me saying I don't think Tyler Warren can be good.
44:43I just think that Josh Downs has enough talent and there's so little in that wide receiver room behind Alec Pearce who
44:49made hay on really high variance routes last year that I'm willing to make a bet that Josh Downs can at least
44:56pay off value because quite often you're talking about somebody that you can get wide receiver 45 range.
45:02So, yeah, it's definitely intriguing to me. I've got Estee Luttrell in the chat saying, General rule of thumb I go by
45:09is not to draft Jets players works out more often than not.
45:12Yeah, I'm not going to argue with you on that whatsoever.
45:16Geno Smith is my quarterback for Evo. I'm okay with it.
45:19Since my pick of Geno Smith, we saw Jake Ferguson go off the board.
45:24Tight ends starting to come off. We saw RJ Harvey, Aaron Rodgers, Dalton Kincaid, Tua, Marvin Harrison, Jordan Tyson, Alec Pearce, Isaiah
45:30Likely on the turn, Brian Thomas, Rico Dowdle, DK Metcalf, Kenneth Gainwell, Kyle Monongai, Mark Andrews, tight end 14 was somebody who
45:37would have been in play for me. Parker Washington, Blake Corum, one pick away from me now.
45:42And the top of ADP is looking like this.
45:45Courtland Sutton, Dallas Goddard, JK Dobbins, Jonathan Brooks, Michael Wilson, Chris Godwin, Aaron Jones, Makai Lemon, Rashad White, Arundi Gadsden, Michael Pittman,
45:52Jawan Johnson, Jacoby Myers and Jaden Reed. So I only have the two running backs.
45:57I've got three wide receivers. This one kind of comes down to tight end or running back for me.
46:03My choice now that I'm on the clock, it's Dallas Goddard, JK Dobbins, Jonathan Brooks.
46:07Jonathan Brooks isn't somebody I'm really high on. I know you are higher than I am on him.
46:13I think I'm going to lock in Dallas Goddard here.
46:16I think that, yes, things are going to be potentially a little more difficult for him with Eli Stowers there this year.
46:23But last year, the Eagles moved away from the tush push at times and they just kept shoveling the ball to Dallas
46:30Goddard, who obviously had a career year when it came to touchdowns.
46:33But I'm willing to make a bet that he can still be fairly useful in this format as Titan 15.
46:39Andrew is now one pick out. His team so far, Drake Mayer, Maureen Hampton, Justin Herbert, Zay Flowers, Tyler Warren, Jalen Waddle,
46:46Mike Evans, Fernando Mendoza, Ramondre Stevenson, who he auto-drafted last time.
46:50Was just talking for too long. 60 seconds on the clock and he managed to talk through all of them and not lock that pick in.
46:58Now he's got 44 seconds left. Andrew, would you like to talk about anything in particular?
47:03Tell us about your dog. Well, that's what my team's name is inspired by the golden retriever puppy, Archie.
47:09My team name is Archie's Toys because whenever he bites my ankles, I say, No, Archie, get your toy.
47:14Get your toy, buddy. Archie's Toys. Not my leg.
47:17Please don't bite me. Please just stop biting me.
47:20So I'm going to go with the guy I actually thought about pulling up last round.
47:25So I'm kind of glad that he's still here on the board.
47:29So I'm going to go with Rashad White as my first running back here because I got to play catch up here on some running backs.
47:37And then I'm going to follow that up with a player you just mentioned.
47:41I'm a little bit higher on than you are, but I think as someone that's very boomer bust in terms of what kind of pick he could be.
47:50But I think that how the offseason progresses, how we could even see the beginning of the season progress.
47:56Jonathan Brooks could just end up being Caroline Panthers best running back at the end of the season.
48:01I get that Chuba Hubbard has been the main guy.
48:04They paid him. But I think that he has shown that last two seasons at the end of the year, he's broken down.
48:12He has not been nearly as efficient. He lost his job last year to Rico Dowdle.
48:16He did not have any explosive runs at all last season.
48:20So there's just enough concern with him as, okay, how do you find these breakout running backs?
48:25You look for these ambiguous backfields. Jonathan Brooks is a pass catcher, highly drafted out of college.
48:30Yes, obviously not healthy, but he's only he's just turned 23 years old.
48:34So if I'm going to bet on anybody coming back from an injury, I want to bet on a player that is young.
48:42And we've seen guys come back from these knee injuries faster and faster.
48:46So Jonathan Brooks for me is one of the priority running back targets in these double digit rounds.
48:51I think it's a high upside pick. And after week one, we could see, oh man, like this backfield was way closer
48:58than we thought it was during the entirety of draft season.
49:01So I still think even as his price continues to increase, as there is a lot of positive buzz about him and
49:08his health, I'm kind of, I'm just here for it.
49:11I'm just kind of buying it, especially because I just don't have the confidence that Hubbard is going to hold down this
49:18job because he already lost last year. I mean, we talked about it last week on my show on Fantasy Sanctuary.
49:25I think that the opportunity is there because Chuba Hubbard, again, wasn't explosive last year, wasn't able to get anything going.
49:31He just really struggled with it. So I think he'll have a chance.
49:35I'm just finding it hard to bet on a guy who's got less than, you know, 40 total rushing yards through two years in his career.
49:43I'm going to pull up Chris Rodriguez looking at the running back rooms here.
49:48It's J.K. Dobbins involved in a freeway committee. Aaron Jones, who I do quite like in a bit of a cleaner running back room with just Jordan Mason.
49:56But I'm just going to lean towards going here with Chris Rodriguez because I haven't drafted very much of him.
50:02And I do think that split with two and it's going to be interesting some weeks.
50:07Bunting, you're saying your QB room's looking rough. Which team are you drafting out of here?
50:12Are you the team in the nine hole with just the two quarterbacks?
50:16Let us know in the chat. But team six, Bunting's saying so he has got JSN, Jalen Hurts, Nico Collins, AJ Brown for a very wide receiver.
50:25High, high upside start. Malik Willis, Bucky Irving, Trevion Henderson, Roma Dunze, Tua and Cal Manongai.
50:30I like that. I think that's got lots to like.
50:33Obviously, the tight end position. He just takes Rondé Gadsden now is going to require four players in there.
50:39But I think that there's enough to work with.
50:42What do you think, Andrew? Yeah. So, yeah, the QB room is definitely a bit shaky, right?
50:47But you're hoping that Tua can hold on to the job for a little bit longer.
50:52Michael Penix doesn't really doesn't come back from the knee injury right or Tua is doing it.
50:57Because I think I mean, Tua is probably going to put up good numbers.
51:01I mean, he plays in warm weather and he plays in a dome.
51:05So like those are just checking off the box.
51:08I mean, OK, the most likely how do we put Tua and get good numbers from Tua is you put him in those types of situations.
51:16So I think that you're taking you're taking some value that's falling to you because you're getting more wide receiver.
51:22I mean, your receivers, you have AJ Brown to flex, right?
51:26And oh, actually, you have Malik Willis. So you have Malik Willis, too.
51:30What am I what am I saying here? I mean, I like Malik Willis, too, as a great value.
51:36I think that. Yeah, I mean, I think he's even.
51:39He's like even better value in one quarterback leagues because.
51:42He just goes so late and I understand that the supporting cast is not great for him, but if you're ever going
51:49to put somebody in a supporting with a supporting cast like they have in Miami, you want them to have the skill
51:56set like Malik Willis, because of anything, if nobody's open, what is that just going to encourage him to do?
52:02Take off and run. Like, and that's what you're trying to get from him anyway.
52:06That's where he's providing the most fantasy value and fantasy juice.
52:10And who knows? Maybe somebody surprises us. You know, Chris Bell.
52:13He was healthy. Would he have been a first round pick?
52:17We don't know. But maybe the town is there.
52:19Maybe he surprises. And I keep talking about him, but I still I'm a believer in Greg Dulcich.
52:25Like what he did as a rookie tight end is really impressive.
52:29I remember people were talking about Greg Dulcich over Trey McBride.
52:32That was a thing that happened. And I'm glad I was on the right side of that.
52:37But that was the immediate production. Like Dulcich was outproducing Trey McBride because McBride was stuck behind Zach Ertz and couldn't do anything, couldn't get onto the field.
52:46Dulcich dealt with injuries. But last year he flashed a lot of talent, a lot of yards out to the catch.
52:53That's what I always look for with these late round tight ends is Tucker Craft.
52:57Like who can make plays with the ball in their hand?
53:01And Dulcich might end up being Malik Willis' best playmaker.
53:04So if he can create some chunk gains, catch some touchdowns, garbage time, you could see Malik Willis put up some decent
53:11fantasy numbers, even if it's not pretty when you look up at the box score or the win-loss record for Miami Dolphins.
53:17Yep. Well, if you've got fantasy questions, drop them in the chat.
53:21We're in around 12 now and we'll catch up on the draft in a minute.

53:59Rolling back through the 12th round. Kind of approaching my pick.
54:03So, since we last talked about the board, I took Chris Rodriguez.
54:06Then Chris Godwin went. Aaron Jones, J.K. Dobbins, Jaden Reed, Arunda Gadsden, Makai Lemon, Brenton Strange, Michael Pittman, Jacory Krosky-Merritt, Justice Hill,
54:13RB42, Jawan Johnson, who's tight end 18. Then Jacoby Myers, Josh Downs went as wide receiver 45.
54:18Right about where I said that he tends to go.
54:22Chigokonquo goes to our guy Bunting. So, he's now got a tight end room of Arunda Gadsden and Chigokonquo.
54:27A few picks out. I'm kind of looking down the line at this one and saying, I can kind of play this any way I want.
54:35I've got three quarterbacks. I've got three running backs.
54:38I've got two tight ends. I can kind of take the best player available.
54:43Andrew, how are you thinking about this turn that's approaching for yourself?
54:46Well, I'm curious if you're thinking about Kenyon Sadiq with a little Jets.
54:50I mean, I know we just talked about don't draft Jets players, but I mean, when in Rome?
54:56When in Rome? Yeah. I don't like to get too heavy on the Jets for reasons for SD Luttrell mentioned earlier.
55:02The general rule of thumb, don't draft Jets. But Kenyon Sadiq goes one pick before me, so spares me that difficult conversation.
55:09I'm staring down Jordan Addison, Deshaun Watson, Quentin Johnson, Xavier Worthy, Hunter Henry, TJ Hawkinson, Dolan Schultz, Casey Concepcion, Romeo Dubs, who
55:16has been falling since AJ Brown joined New England.
55:19Michael Penix, Matthew Golden, Khalil Shakir, Zach Charbonnet. The draft assistant, you can see that 69% of experts are saying that Jordan
55:26Addison is to pick here, which makes plenty of sense.
55:29I think that the upside with Jordan Addison is massive.
55:32I do quite like Xavier Worthy, but I am going to go.
55:36I'm just going to double check my bye weeks, though.
55:39I've got Drake London, who's on week 11. I've got Chris Alave, Lad McConkie.
55:43Everything works out well, so adding Jordan Addison feels like a nice way to kind of just bulk out this wide receiver room a little bit more.
55:51There's always depth of wide receiver position in these FFPC Superflex drafts, because unlike normal 20-round drafts where you might be taking
55:589, 10 wide receivers, kind of 6 tends to do the job here.
56:02A few years back, I was lucky enough to find Pukin Okua in the 20th round, and that helped me to top 6 finish.
56:10And that will be forever a great year in my best ball portfolio.
56:14Quentin Johnson goes off the board one place before Andrew had a chance to potentially stack in with Justin Herbert.
56:20Andrew now has Drake Mayer, Marion Hampton, Justin Herbert, Zay Flowers, Tyler Warren, Jalen Waddle, Mike Evans, Fernando Mendoza, Ramondre Stevenson, Rashard White, Jonathan Brooks.
56:28I'm going to let you lock in your second pick before I make you talk, Andrew, because the last thing I want
56:34you to do is auto-draft Deshaun Watson or somebody like that here, or find yourself taking Michael Penix.
56:40I appreciate that. But yes, Greg Dulcich going here as Titan 21 to Andrew.
56:44Haynes in the chat saying Dulcich at Titan 21.
56:47That is bullish. Andrew is always a man ready to stand on conviction of his takes.
56:52Give us, and then adding Romeo dubs, Andrew, give us the full sales pitch for Greg Dulcich.
56:57A man who, yeah, as you say, after his rookie season, people were taking ahead of Trey McBride, but it's been an
57:04awful lot of nothing for the most part. It has not been great for Greg Dulcich.
57:09Hopped around from teams. I think that he was with, so he was with obviously Miami last year down the stretch, but
57:16very productive in terms of, I think it was after week nine.
57:20He was second in yards after the catch trailing, or in terms of yards after the catch per reception, and he's only 26 years old.
57:27One of the number one things you've got to look for when it comes to tight ends is, do you have a
57:34path to be the number one or number two target on your team?
57:38Should we read off the Miami receiver depth chart?
57:41I mean, I can do it. You can do it.
57:44It's a bunch of players that we're not super excited about.
57:48Maybe we're excited about two or three years ago when some of these guys were coming out, but Jalen Tolbert had his stands.
57:55Tutu Atwell, very undersized, but was really productive at the college level.
57:58Alique Washington, again, another really productive college football receiver, but hasn't really translated that all to the pros quite yet.
58:05So in an offense that is devoid of established pass catchers, I think that Greg Dulcich, the GM said himself on a
58:12podcast with Kevin Clark, I believe, earlier this offseason, that Kevin Clark basically straight up asked him, Hey, like, who are you excited about?
58:19Like taking a leap this year. He said, Greg Dulcich.
58:22I think the entire roster of players, he's only on a one year deal.
58:26It's not like they like shelled out a bunch of money to Greg Dulcich to be like this guy.
58:32I just think that he is slated to be the most productive receiver in this offense.
58:37Maybe that's not saying much for an offense that might break 30 second and pass attempts, but I think he's just going to have a lot of opportunities.
58:46And when it comes to tight end, sometimes that's all it takes.
58:50It's just like getting an opportunity for targets. And I do think he has a little bit of juice after the catch to offer as well.
58:58So Greg Dulcich for me, I mean, tight end 21.
59:01Is that really bullish? Like, I mean, that's like back end tight.
59:04I know it's a little bit different because this is a obviously tight end premium format.
59:09But back to our original point, if he does end up racking up a lot of receptions, he can take advantage of this particular format.
59:17It doesn't necessarily need to score a lot of touchdowns to be, you know, or to outdo his draft star or draft position here at tight end 21.
59:26The thing about like the three agent tight ends, is there any concern that someone like Johnny Smith could end up back in Miami?
59:33Taysom Hill, Zach Ertz, Darren Waller? I mean, any of these guys, Donald Parham even, like any of these guys that would
59:40make you slightly more worried for Greg Dulcich? I don't really think so.
59:44I don't know if Miami wants, again, anything can happen.
59:47So we'll see. They still could sign a, you know, they could sign Stephon Diggs.
59:52Like they could sign one of these wide receivers too.
59:55So there's always a chance that they add another pass catcher at some point.
59:59But again, he's only 26 years old. So why not see what they have in a player like Greg Dulcich?
60:06And coming, the current coaching staff in place, obviously coming from the Green Bay Packers, they know what an offense can transform into with a dynamic tight end.
60:14And I think that. To that point, though, Mercedes Lewis is out there, someone who plays for the Packers, and he's only 42 years old.
60:22He's only 42. Has he been in the NFL longer than I've been alive?
60:26Maybe. It's close. He's so old. He's two years older than me.
60:30Sorry, carry on. I interrupted what was a very good point just to make a joke.
60:35Now, I just think that Dulcich has a lot of, maybe opposite is not the right word, just opportunity in this offense.
60:42The thing that we come back to with tight ends, and I constantly find myself making this point, if you could score
60:49five touchdowns at the tight end position, you are probably going to be a top 15 tight end.
60:54You're probably going to be no worse than tight end 16, unless you are never catching the ball.
61:00But it only takes between five and seven touchdowns, typically, to really make a massive impact.
61:05Like very years where we just don't get tight ends reaching double-digit touchdowns.
61:09So if you can come even close to sort of six or seven touchdowns, you can find your way into a line,
61:16particularly in best ball formats, an awful lot. And I think with Tyler Warren and Greg Dulcich, look, that's a lot of hair, if nothing else.
61:24Oh, yeah. I mean, you can just draft him off the locks.
61:27Yeah. The Greg Dulcich look. And that stash, I mean, we were talking pre-show about everyone rocking these mustaches.
61:33And I was like, guys, I've been working on this for like weeks.
61:37Come on, give me some credit. So after you took Greg Dulcich, you took Romeo Dubs.
61:42Xavier Worthy went before me, who I do kind of quite like at YRC 50.
61:47I'm definitely slightly interested in him. Then I took Hunter Henry as my third tight end.
61:52George Kittle, Dallas Goddard, and Hunter Henry now rounded out of that room.
61:56Casey Concepcion went, Gunnar Helm, Dalton Schultz, Deshaun Watson, Khalil Shakir, TJ Hawkinson, Matthew Golden, Calvin Ridley, Rashid Shahid, Dylan Sampson, Tajay Spears, Woody Marks, and AJ Barna.
62:05Andrew, how do you feel about AJ Barna? Because there seems to be some pretty wide-ranging opinions on him.
62:10He goes as tight end 26 here. He had an OK season last year.
62:15Do you think that the Seahawks could lean into really pushing things more towards one tight end rather than try to mix in Arroyo as well?
62:23I think Arroyo has to find a way to get on the field with these injuries.
62:28That's kind of what I'm concerned about with him is that he just isn't 100% healthy.
62:33I know that he was dealing with a knee injury last year, and kind of rookie year was basically a wash for the most part.
62:41He didn't do a lot. Meanwhile, AJ Barna has kind of been productive whenever the Seahawks have called upon him.
62:47From, again, another one of these Michigan tight ends that has come into the NFL and produced.
62:52So I think it's kind of his job to lose.
62:55I think specifically where he could have the biggest role in the Seahawks offense is in the red zone, right?
63:01Who was the red zone guy last year? It wasn't Ken Walker.
63:05Yeah. And it was Zach Charbonnet. He's injured. So if they don't lean on Janarian Price in the red zone as much,
63:12maybe they do let Sam Donald throw the ball a little bit more instead of trusting a rookie with these really high value touches.
63:19Then you can see AJ Barna potentially having a big role as a red zone threat, especially with the former 49ers tight
63:26end coach as their new offensive coordinator. George Kittle, every single year he was there, had a ton of red zone opportunities and a ton of touchdowns.
63:34So AJ Barna likes some of his touchdown upside.
63:37Yep, I can get on board with that. So after AJ Barna, Tyler Algier went.
63:42Then Stefan Diggs, Zach Charbonnet, as mentioned. Yes, it's a long road back for him.
63:47But RB49, it's kind of an interesting gamble to take.
63:50Isaiah Pacheco, obviously a potential, but he could end up being more involved in Detroit than some people are expecting.
63:56Jalen Coker goes off the board. One pick before me, which I definitely like myself from Jalen Coker, but probably wouldn't have
64:03lent towards wide receiver with four already on my roster.
64:06What I needed was a running back. I have Devon Achand, DeAndre Swift and Chris Rodriguez.
64:11Why not add some pure upside in Keaton Mitchell?
64:13I have the fastest running back room in this draft between Devon Achand and Keaton Mitchell.
64:18I'm not expecting Keaton Mitchell to become an incredible fantasy value.
64:22I don't think that I'm... I've seen some very lofty projections for him, and I'm not quite there.
64:27But I think when you look at a guy who is easily one of the fastest ball carriers, who's excelled with creative
64:34play callers, and now you get him to the Chargers, you push him towards the outside, where Mike McDaniel has designed some
64:41incredible work for Devon Achand over the years. And I think that even if we get 70% Devon Achand without the pass
64:48catching upside, perhaps, then I'm willing to take that bet for RB4 in round 14.
64:53Andrew, you took Jonah Coleman and Jaden Higgins. Why don't you talk a little bit about those selections whilst I make my next pick here?
65:00I like Jonah Coleman as a hedge against the other Denver Broncos running backs.
65:05J.K. Dobbins, we know, is not built to survive a 17-game season.
65:08And if he were to go down, I think that Coleman would have an opportunity to potentially take on some of that early down work.
65:16And it's also a bet against R.J. Harvey if he doesn't improve as a rusher in between the tackles.
65:22So I don't think Coleman is someone that you're going to necessarily draft too bullishly in your normal redraft league, because I
65:29think that we could look up after week one and he's not even on the field or inactive, a healthy scratch.
65:35Because you know who Sean Payton loves is Jaleel McLaughlin.
65:38He's got to find ways to get Tyler Beatty, Jaleel McLaughlin on the field, who I think are still in the Denver Broncos roster.
65:46But hey, Davis Webb, maybe he comes in and establishes, hey, the chaos has ended.
65:50There will be no more jokers and we won't be put into awkward positions anymore.
65:55So I like Coleman. I think that he just fits what the Broncos need at running back.
66:00So I like getting here and end of the 14th round.
66:04And then Jaden Higgins, to me, someone that started to flash a little bit down the stretch, I think, especially when Nico Collins missed time.
66:12He's a big bodied red zone guy that they can use.
66:15I think he has a full-time role in this offense across from Nico Collins and has, I think, a standalone role that
66:22is probably worth kind of a pick in this range.
66:25But then you have that upside case of, well, what if Collins does hurt his hamstring yet again?
66:30Or he misses time. We've seen a ceiling from Jaden Higgins commanding targets in this offense from CJ Stroud.
66:36So he was also the top guy on my board, top guy in ADP.
66:41So just another receiver to add to the squad.
66:43Yeah, right now the draft assistant, Fantasy Pro's draft assistant, is kind of crying out for somebody to take Alvin Kamara.
66:5053% of experts are suggesting it. We've seen this situation with him.
66:54He's turned up to Saints training camp. He has them over a barrel as far as his contract is concerned.
67:00He goes off the board as RB55. I'm still not entirely sure that he ends up playing there this year, but I'm
67:07willing to, in full PPR formats, mix him in a little bit.
67:10I took Brian Robinson as my RB5. Yes, my RB5.
67:14Just hedging against Bijan Robinson, getting all the touchdowns this year.
67:17Again, it's probably not the most exciting play. Maybe I could have mixed in a rookie, but as my fifth running back,
67:24I'm just looking for something that I know what the build is going to give me every week.
67:29Andrew, for anyone who doesn't know, not only do I write for Fantasy Pro's and do this show and little bits elsewhere,
67:36but I also edit a lot of the podcasts for Fantasy Pro's.
67:40And I don't think I've heard you talk about Travis Hunter at any point this offseason.
67:45Where are you at on Travis Hunter, who goes off the board as wide receiver 60 to our good friend Haynes drafting out of the 107?
67:53He has Lamar Jackson, Justin Jefferson, Kenneth Walker, Kyler Murray, Devonta Smith, Teter O'erreill, McMillan, Byshell Tootin, Sam Laporte, Dalton Kincaid, Mark
68:00Andrews, Jaden Reed, Jordan Mason, Deshaun Watson, Stefan Diggs, and Travis Hunter.
68:03I think that he's a good price right now at this 15th round where even if he is playing limited time wide
68:10receiver, a lot of the receivers going in this range are playing limited time roles.
68:15We don't know what Juwan Jennings' role is going to be in the Vikings' office.
68:20Antonio Williams, I think, is a fun player that could be a slot machine in the commander's office, but he's also a third-round pick.
68:27Like, Travis Hunter missed the second half of the season last year, but I still think that he might have a role as the starting slot receiver.
68:35We'll see what happens with Parker Washington. It's a mess, right?
68:39And it's hard to figure out how he's going to be used, but it seems like we got carried away or the
68:46market got carried away with the first quote of the offseason when he's going to play more cornerback, and we just basically
68:52nuked off Travis Hunter as a wide receiver in any way, shape, or form, but they have backtracked those quotes, the GM
68:59and head coach, Liam Cohen-Gladstone, basically saying that, no, his receiver role is going to be the same as it was last year, basically.
69:07And he's going to be running the Jaden Reed, Josh Downs, frustrating role, but one where he's still going to get a lot of schemed-up touches.
69:15Obviously, the injury concerns are how long can he last if he's also playing full-time defensive back.
69:20So I think right now he is definitely worth the dart throw in the 15th round, especially in the best ball format
69:27where you don't have to sweat what happens to...
69:30What was his usage last week? I mean, starting or sitting, Travis Hunter every single week is going to be pulling your
69:36hair out, trying to figure that out. So I think if you're going to invest in him in any shape or form,
69:43it is to do it in the 15th round in a best ball format where it just takes one injury on one
69:50of these Jaguars wide receivers where, man, we've got to put Travis Hunter on the field again.
69:55Parker Washington goes down. We've got to put Travis Hunter back on the field, and we know that he's a talented guy.
70:02Obviously, the top five draft pedigree. He went to get his receiver at times last year, especially in his last game.
70:09Well, Bundy in the chat saying last year you rightfully roasted him for drafting a cornerback at 107.
70:14Good to serve him. Yeah, because I feel like the bet's kind of the same, right?
70:19Again, not the most impressive rookie year, but now instead of being a fifth or sixth round pick wherever he was last
70:26year, now he's a 15th round pick. Yep. It's like, all right.
70:30I'm back on the clock here. I've got Josh Allen, Devon O'Chan, Drake London, Tyler Shook, Chris Olave, Lad McConkie, DeAndre Swift,
70:37George Kittle, Geno Smith, Dallas Goddard, Chris Rodriguez, Jordan Addison, Hunter Henry, Keaton Mitchell, Brown Robinson.
70:41I've only taken one wide receiver since round six, and that was Jordan Addison.
70:46But I have got that trio of Drake London, Chris Olave, Lad McConkie.
70:50I want to shoot for upside. And when we talk about upside, Isaac Teslar is just packed with upside.
70:56Yes, he only made what, like, was it 20 catches, 13 catches, something like that.
71:0016 catches is right. 16 catches last year, and six of them went for touchdowns.
71:05It was an utterly absurd year. I'm not expecting that level of efficiency to continue, but I'm getting a player at wide
71:12receiver 65, who the Lions are talking about wanting to get more involved, and they are talking about, they're hoping he's going to make a second year leap.
71:21The Lions offense wasn't overly great last year, wasn't really efficient as they dealt with Ben Johnson moving on and having to
71:27find themselves and having to really find their identity.
71:30The Lions schedule this year is an absolute cupcake.
71:33They have the easiest strength of schedule. Their opponents that they play is very much, it's going to set up for some
71:40situations where Dan Campbell can reestablish the Lions. And if that leads to them having situations where they're running up the score
71:47at the end of games, or if they try to take Jameson Williams, Monrard St.
71:51Brown off the field so that they're fresh later on in the season, then that means that Isaac Teslar can get back out there.
71:59Andrew is now on the clock. His first pick is Manuel Wilson, so his running back room is now Amarian Hampton, Ramondre
72:05Stevenson, Rashad White, Jonathan Brooks, Jonah Coleman, and Emmanuel Wilson.
72:09Obviously plenty of opportunity from Manuel Wilson early on in the season.
72:12Him and Jadarian Price and George Helani look like they're going to be in a little bit of a camp battle to
72:19figure out who's going to take the early workload with Zach Charbonnet out.
72:23And yeah, if Zach Charbonnet misses a substantial amount this season, it could look a little difficult for him.
72:29Andrew, you went with a second-year wide receiver. We talked about potential breakouts early on.
72:34You just got a guy, wide receiver 67, who stacks up with your quarterback Justin Herbert.
72:39Sellers on the Trey Harris connection. This was a player that I actually thought about bringing up when we were talking about
72:45some of these second- and third-year wide receiver breakouts.
72:48The Chargers receiver room, I think that collectively we all want Vlad McConkie to be that guy for this offense and be
72:55the number one player that he was as a rookie, and I think that's very much the most likely scenario.
73:01However, it is a brand new office coordinator coming in with Mike McDaniel, and the way that they talk about Trey Harris,
73:08this coaching staff really, really likes him, especially what he did as a rookie, as a blocker.
73:13So he's finding ways to get onto the field.
73:16And would it surprise anybody if he were to leapfrog Quinton Johnston on the depth chart?
73:21I've seen weirder things, such as Quinton Johnston scoring eight touchdowns in back-to-back years and not even finishing as like a top 24 wide receiver.
73:29So I think that Trey Harris, as a sleeper, dark horse, wide receiver candidate to break out in his second season, I
73:36think it's very much in play here. I was really impressed.
73:39I remember somebody drafted Trey Harris in our draft, and I was like, man, that was a good pick.
73:45And especially when he went even later, I think it was like in the 19th round.
73:50And I remember, I like put it away in my brain.
73:53I'm like, I gotta remember to move Trey Harris up in my rankings because I think that he's gonna have a much
74:00bigger role than he did as a rookie. It's a new offense.
74:04Again, I already have Justin Herbert as my quarterback, so I didn't want to get that stack.
74:09You know, he can deliver a lot of big play upside.
74:13And I think he's just gonna play more than most people are anticipating based on what he just did as a rookie
74:19in an offense that, look, that offense was broken all over the place last year.
74:24So Harris, I think, is someone you keep an eye on, especially in these deeper best ball drafts.
74:30Yeah, and I went with a wide receiver who's kind of a potential breakout candidate as well in Ryan Flournoy, entering year
74:36three, coming off 475 yards on just 40 receptions last year, four touchdowns.
74:40The Cowboys with George Pick and CeeDee Lamb, obviously he's not gonna surpass either of them anytime soon.
74:46But I think that the Cowboys offense can be good enough to support those three wide receivers.
74:51And I think that when we get down to this level of the draft, I'm okay making bets on things like just good offenses.
74:59Would I rather take Ryan Flournoy at wide receiver 69 or Denzel Boston at wide receiver 70, which was the choice for me.
75:06And I like Denzel Boston. I think that there's, he possibly got a hard time in the NFL draft buildup, but having
75:13a bet on his quarterback room of Deshaun Watson, Shadur Sanders, Dylan Gabriel, rather than going Dak Prescott, potential MVP candidate, if you can put it all together.
75:21I'm very much okay with going Ryan Flournoy there.
75:24So we are in the round 17. This is super flex, tight end premium, as we've talked about.
75:30We need a good balance of running backs and quarterbacks.
75:33There's been some great builds in here, some interesting ones.
75:36The team out of the five hole has only taken one wide receiver since round seven.
75:41They went with six running backs in seven selections.
75:44I've got Josh Allen, Devon Ochan, Drake London, Tyler Shupp, Chris Olave, Lad McConkie, DeAndre Swift, George Kittle, Geno Smith, Dallas Goddard,
75:50Chris Rodriguez, Jordan Addison, Hunter Henry, Keaton Mitchell, Brian Robinson, Isaac Teslar, and Ryan Flournoy.
75:55I think I'm probably done at wide receiver. Now that I've got six, I might pick one if the right one falls to me.
76:03Potentially looking at what will be left in the quarterback or tight end rooms, adding another couple of running backs.
76:09Andrew, you're sitting here with Drake Maye, Maureen Hampton, Justin Herbert, Zay Flowers, Tyler Warren, Jalen Waddell, Mike Evans, Fernando Mendoza.
76:15The beautifully autopicked from Andre Stevenson, who will be the key to best ball this year now that you've done that.
76:22Rashad White, Jonathan Brooks, Greg Dulcich at Titan 21.
76:25Very bullish pick. Romeo Dubs, Jonah Coleman, Jaden Higgins, Emmanuel Wilson, and Trey Harris.
76:29What do you feel like you need to land this?
76:32I do want another tight end added to my team because I only have two guys, so Dulcich and Tyler Warren.
76:39So I want to see if I can grab another one, maybe just somebody to stack with one of my quarterbacks.
76:45Potentially there's a couple guys out there that I could take the Patriots rookie tight end.
76:50I think that something that's kind of gone under the radar that was announced a couple of weeks ago was Patriots signed
76:57a blocking tight end this offseason, Julian Hill. He went on injured reserve very early in the offseason.
77:02So does that give Eli Raritan a little bit of an opportunity to see more snaps in this Patriots offense alongside Hunter Henry?
77:10Is he now potentially a starter for enough in the chat saying stay away from Eli Raritan at all costs?
77:16Well, you already took Haynes is a big Greg Dulcich fan and now you're going to take Eli Raritan.
77:22Like this is fists are going to be flung.
77:24So tight end, I could use some help and then I think running back receiver it's similar to your point.
77:31I would probably want to take more stabs at running back but again, I think for me it's I kind of want
77:37to just draft players I like at this point especially with this late in the draft.
77:42I feel good about quarterbacks. We're not going to add any of these jabronis that are left here not feeling great about anything.
77:49I already feel pretty good about three guys I have on my roster so that's kind of what I'm going to be looking out for.
77:57The data does point towards four quarterback builds being better but obviously there's so much variance of quarterback and like you can
78:04filter these kind of results historically based on the position but you can't filter is Josh Allen included in that build?
78:11Is Drake May included in that kind of build?
78:13So I tend to keep this sort of stuff in mind.
78:17I think that you know if you go four quarterbacks and wait until after round six for your third quarterback that can
78:24quite often set you up quite well so that's kind of what I've leant into I'll keep an eye on the quarterback
78:30room I'll keep an eye on the tight end room Brandon Ayuk is at the top of the wide receiver selection though
78:37and the draft assistants pointing towards 25% of experts would say that's pick how far does Brandon Ayuk have to fall for
78:44you to consider him his ADP is sitting at 213th overall and we are kind of getting deep down into round 18 now.
78:51he's probably a good pick at this point right?
78:54Because the minute that he signs with the team whatever I think that we're always afraid to take a guy that might
79:01not play or just he's like totally done with football just like totally checked out we're seeing Asim Dev in the chat
79:08saying isn't he going to Washington is there more news about Ayuk?
79:11I've not seen anything recent today I mean he was pictured on Instagram saying you know wearing the commander's hat but I
79:18think it's wish casting from his part at the minute like we heard reports a few weeks back that they tried reaching
79:25out to him and got nowhere with it so it's tricky to project it at this point I think that the closer
79:32it gets to training camp as well the harder it gets to have any faith in him really doing things right like
79:39for me Brandon Ayuk is a player who when the situation has been perfect he's pulled it all together and when everything
79:45has kind of fell to him it's been fine but now you're going to throw him into an off season where he's
79:52not trained I mean he's not played in a long time he's not been healthy for a long time he's not been
79:59particularly great like he had the incredible season and then there was regression then there were injuries and now you're going to
80:06throw him to potentially to a new team yes Jaden Daniels and him have a relationship but I'm not sure that I
80:13can count on that being enough to really buy back in shout out x Yoshi one of the new followers over here
80:19on Twitch remember myself and Andrew we're going to be here every two weeks drafting these best ball teams and answering all
80:26your fantasy football questions we've got all the time in the world to help you good people who come and join us
80:33over here so if you're listening on the podcast feed make sure in two weeks time you come and join us and
80:40we will be drafting somewhere we'll be drafting and shooting for those top prizes $100,000 in this one drops all the way
80:47down to 15k for second place though so we need to shoot for the 1% scenarios or 1 in 84 scenario that
80:54the final will be for this one Andrew does take Brandon Ayuk as wide receiver 75 and then follows it up with
81:00Eli Raritan their tight end for the New England Patriots Haynes is going to be rather annoyed about that but Haynes asks
81:07in the chat if he signs for Washington tomorrow where would he go in this draft next week round 13 so looking
81:14at the round 13 wide receivers you're talking like wide receiver 49 to wide receiver 55 range the guys who went in
81:21this draft were Romeo Dubs Xavier Worthy Casey Concepcion Khalil Shakir Matthew Golden Calvin Ridley Rashid Shahid Andrew would you take Brandon
81:28Ayuk on the Washington commanders ahead of Rashid Shahid at wide receiver 55 I don't think so I think I'd still probably
81:34take Rashid Shahid because you were laying it out perfectly because what state is he even in right now like what type
81:41of player are we going to get is the Ayuk of an old even relevant anymore I think we talked about this
81:48on the tailgate show where is he just following the like Deontay Johnson type of like career trajectory where it's like yeah
81:55this guy was really good who by the way is working out Deontay Johnson is ready for a comeback yeah but this
82:02is the thing we're not seeing we're seeing comeback videos from Deontay Johnson who played his way out of the league and
82:09couldn't get a team towards the end of last season but you're not getting that from Brandon Ayuk you're seeing pictures of
82:15him flashing cash buying watches like you know he's being arrested for speeding this is not the good vibes like when you
82:22want to make the comeback when you want the good contract you need the workout videos you need a channel Derek Henry
82:29but instead I mean even even going back to Antonio Brown Antonio Brown was posting workout videos when he was having his
82:36issues so I just find it incredibly difficult to push him up that high I wouldn't be taking him I think I'm
82:43gonna say it's the Travis Hunter line wide receiver 60 throw him in the mix with Omar Cooper Travis Hunter Jalen McMillan
82:49Joanne Jennings Antonio Williams Jaden Higgins somewhere around that is where I think that I would bump him in my rankings do
82:56you feel like that's a better place for him or would you go lower still or higher I think that's probably the
83:03right range he's in I think that the point that Chad's trying to make is he's just gonna increase right he's gonna
83:10fly up rankings if he ends up signing anywhere so right now where it seems like the sentiment around him is never
83:17gonna play football ever again which yeah that's possible but if we're being realistic if he has any cell if he's even
83:2470% of the same guy he's probably still better than everyone on the Dolphins roster like at wide receiver look at the
83:30Raiders roster right another team where you could drop him in and wow is he the number one wide receiver obviously Brock
83:37Bowers is the number one target but I still think that if Ayuk is healthy and can play obviously he's definitely rubbed
83:44some teams the wrong way so he won't end up going there but if he signs with the commanders tomorrow his ADP
83:51is going to be skyrocketing so when nobody wants a certain player this is usually the time to buy and again it
83:58never feels good like making the click right yeah I'm so confident in Brandon Ayuk but you know you gotta weigh some
84:04of the risk and right now there's really I mean it's 18th round pick right a lot of these guys are going
84:11to do anything anyway at least we know Ayuk at one point when he's been on the field high level elite level
84:18producer from an efficiency standpoint yeah and awesome dev in the chat saying I thought the speeding thing was back in December
84:25so Ayuk is perfectly fine out yeah I mean he should be fine of course the league could come in and give
84:32him a suspension if they wanted to generally that kind of thing would be quite mediocre and it's not like I expect
84:39him to be making big strides at the beginning of the season anyway so yeah my general vibe is that I'm kind
84:45of out on Brandon Ayuk I think he's one of those players like Tyree Kill that could have the upside but I
84:52think I'd rather just take Keenan Allen I think the way that Keenan Allen plays and the way that Keenan Allen has
84:59looked after himself I'm happier making that better than those guys we are in to the final round round 20 after this
85:06we will go through what the draft assistant says about our teams and take a look through all that Rashad Bateman goes
85:13off the board to Haynes like an absolute knife in my heart stopping me from taking a guy at wide receiver 82
85:19who is going to have a good season the Ravens have talked about how they expect him to have a good season
85:26as wide receiver 2 in their offense AD Mitchell Jalen Jalen Noel Jeremy Bernard Mason Taylor some of the other names going
85:33in this range Ty Simpson goes to the team out of the 111 who has Matthew Stafford Jared Goff and Ty Simpson
85:40just collecting any quarterback who's been near LA Jimmy Garoppolo would have been the 21st round pick I guess there and then
85:47yes Bunting finishes his draft with Michael Trigg said that that last pick was going to be for you Erickson he is
85:54a tight end room Rondé Gadsden Chico Conquo Oscar Delp and Michael Trigg talk about some young guys who could really have
86:00a lot of varying outputs I am one pick away I went Kirk Cousins on my last pick four quarterback and four
86:07tight end build on this one I've got six wide receivers I could do with a running back or a tight end
86:14here looking at Michael Mayer Deemon Claiborne Christian Kirk Keishon Booty who obviously is still involved in lots of trade rumours Keenan
86:21Allen who I mentioned who I think is quite a fun choice Donald Washington who signed the contract extension with the Steelers
86:28last week Tory Horton who I think is quite fun I'm going to go back to a guy that last year I
86:34was clicking a decent bit it didn't pan out last year but hey just because a rookie doesn't pan out in year
86:41one and just because the running back ahead of him stayed healthy last year it a very veteran build this one no
86:48rookie upside but look I'm just saying you know what everyone crapped all of rookie class for so long I'm not I
86:55need to take them when I had some really nice values elsewhere I like my wide receiver room with Drake London Chris
87:02Alave Ladd McConkie Jordan Addison Tesla Ryan Flourneau if I can get a couple of spike weeks out of them that's fine
87:09I Scott Hunter Hunter Henry Colby Parkinson all of that can come together leaving one last pick on the clock and it is Mr.
87:16Andrew Erickson who started the draft off with the big stand on your Higgins Emmanuel Wilson Trey Harris Brandon Iuke Eli Reredon
87:23at tight end 37 and rounds it out with Caleb Johnson Andrew we're not dead yet that's how I feel about Caleb
87:30Johnson but that pick may be dead on arrival but hey Rico Dowdle gets banged up Jalen Warren has never been a
87:36bell cow new coach maybe new opportunity 20th round we'll see how things shake out but we'll see what the wizard the
87:43draft analysis says about our teams here in case you missed it we were syncing today's draft over on FFPC with the
87:50draft assistant so it shows the board in real times and this is the kind of analysis that you can get if
87:57you want to catch more of this I do a article series that's pretty much from now until the yourself looks like
88:04you finished exactly where you picked at third overall mark riggs 18 was number one bunting shout out bunting I came in
88:11at seventh so middle of the pack archie's toys and then rounding out the coming into caboose we got swiss cheese 10
88:17with the last ranking so yeah like you said tom a lot of great stuff here you can look after you draft
88:24your team if you producer sales saying let's get to the bit that everyone wants though let's look at the steals and
88:31reaches yeah so let's see so for you tom jordan addison was a steal where you got him in the 12th round
88:38higgins and iuk were my two steals nice nice 15th and 18th round and then let's see reaches i i got a
88:45lot of reaches most notably greg dolcich was a reach for me tyler warren for an and brooks but you reached on
88:51chris rodriguez so yeah i mean that's definitely an uninspiring one when you take these veterans and they are the uninspiring players
88:58like that it always not a reach is greg may obviously your 101 ranking definitely helping fluff that one up a little
89:05bit but yes this was a very fun draft definitely a lot of good stuff going on and truly appreciate the chat
