A.J. Brown

PositiveValue13:52

AJ Brown is ranked as a top-five wide receiver and is a primary target for managers looking to maximize value in early-round trades, especially in 10-man formats where depth is critical.

Insight page

Aaron Rodgers

NegativeValue25:27

Aaron Rodgers is best held as depth in superflex formats. While he may start games, his trade value is low, making him a hold rather than a sell candidate.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeValue32:37

While FantasyPros consensus dynasty ranks place Tate as the WR13 and Zay Flowers as the WR18, the source argues this is a tier difference that overvalues Tate's future production; in redraft, Flowers is the clear choice to outproduce Tate this year.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue15:22

Chase Brown is ranked as a top-five running back and is considered a high-value target in current sleeper ADP. He is expected to have steady production in a contract year.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeInjury40:23

Hubbard is dealing with a hamstring injury listed as week-to-week, which the source notes often implies a longer recovery timeline. Given his history of missing time and falling off in the second half of seasons, his job security as the starter is at risk.

Insight page

De'Zhaun Stribling

NegativeSleeper37:06

Stribling is a rookie wide receiver in San Francisco who has performed well in training camp, but he faces a crowded target pecking order behind Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey, likely limiting his immediate fantasy impact.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeRole26:36

George Pickens is a polarizing talent who lacks a long-term contract. There is concern that if he remains unsigned, he could see a performance drop-off or reduced participation in the second half of the season.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeValue12:14

Jonathan Taylor remains a top-ranked running back with a top-five offensive line, but trading him in a 10-man league can be a viable strategy to acquire multiple high-end assets like AJ Brown and Chase Brown to improve overall roster depth.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveRole39:15

With Chuba Hubbard dealing with a week-to-week hamstring injury, the path is clear for Jonathon Brooks to cement himself as the RB1 in Carolina. The source views him as a middle-round breakout candidate with significant upside.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveRole5:55

Rhamondre Stevenson is the clear starting running back for the Patriots. Despite the addition of Tyrell Henderson, who offers more explosive playmaking ability, Stevenson remains the superior three-down back due to his pass-protection skills and reliability on all downs. Expect a committee approach to start the season, but one that favors Stevenson.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeInjury44:08

Coming off an injury, Kraft is a risky sole option at tight end. The source advises drafting a backup like Dalton Kincaid or Greg Dulcich to avoid scrambling if Kraft is not ready for Week 1.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveValue50:04

The source highlights Wan'Dale Robinson as a successful sleeper pick from the previous season, defending the pick against critics who labeled it a waste of a selection.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout29:58

Zay Flowers is expected to take a step forward under the new coaching staff and is projected to outproduce Carnell Tate in the upcoming season. He is a strong target in dynasty trades, especially when paired with additional draft capital.

Insight page
PositiveProjection32:27

The source prefers Zay Flowers over Carnell Tate for redraft leagues, noting that Flowers is in his prime and expected to outproduce Tate this season.

0:20What's up friendos and welcome into FantasyPros the Fantasy Football Podcast for The Extra Point.
0:25I'm Chris Welsh, Andrew Erickson is here in a live studio audience.
0:28We have got some of our Discord members from FantasyPros.com slash chat, where if you've got like a free Fantasy Pros account,
0:34you can be a part of the Discord. Discord's been, had a very important day today.
0:39We filled a mock draft episode from the Discord and now we are going to invite Discord members to come on and talk with us.
0:46And maybe more than anything, today you guys are going to be the producers of the show.
0:51This is a chance. You guys get to dictate the content that we're going to talk about because it's like, oh good radio show.
0:58We're going to sit here and answer all your guys' questions, talk through a little bit lighter, no show plan stuff.
1:04But, you know, outside of topically, we do have the video on in Discord.
1:08Patriot shirt is, it is something. Erickson, you've got a look going on here.
1:12And I believe this was the chubby shirt that we've got last year.
1:16And I gotta tell you, I gave you a little bit of crap on it on the mock draft episode.
1:22It looked loud. Make it look good, brother. You make it, I'm just wearing standard black polo, but you look very good.
1:28And I, nothing has made me happier than Erickson told me he did a recording with a New England Patriots beat reporter
1:35for the tailgate channel, which you guys should check out that you were wearing that.
1:39And nothing has made me happier to know that people say that Debro's takes are loud.
1:43My outfits are even louder. So I'm here for it.
1:46Love the Pats playing tonight against the Indianapolis Colts.
1:49Again, no Thursday night questions. Your first time into the discord for the extra point.
1:53So if you want to know who to play in preseason DFS, this is not the show for you.
1:59Sorry, folks, not the show for you. But that being said, it was a really fun opportunity to flex some of my
2:05or try to flex my interviewing skills. Evan Lazar, Patriots.com beat reporter, was very happy that he took the time to sit down with me.
2:12Very busy, of course, with games being played tonight.
2:15But he set aside a time for me, talked about the Patriots, fantasy related questions, defensive related questions.
2:20Just a really cool conversation talking ball because that's what the tailgate is about.
2:24It's just talking football with whatever implications you want to use.
2:27So I'm looking forward to people listening to it.
2:30Don't know when it's going to be released. I think potentially this weekend.
2:34But keep an eye out for it on the podcast feed.
2:37And also, Erickson, myself and Fitzy were on an episode this week where we broke down what we're looking for in week one.
2:44And I got a good laugh at you guys, too.
2:47Happy right at the end of the episode. Oh, yeah.
2:49I mean, you got it. You have to listen all the way through for the best part of the episode.
2:55It's towards the end. So I got you a little bit later.
2:59But, yeah, no, it's very, very cool. I'm very excited about it.
3:02Is there any little like nugget you can give us?
3:05Did you pull anything out that would be interesting to people?
3:08So some of the things that we talked about were the Kayshawn Booty trade request thing.
3:13That's more about Kayshawn Booty wanting to be traded, not that the Patriots want to trade him.
3:18I would. And it makes sense, right? He's in a contract year.
3:21He wants to put up numbers so he gets paid.
3:24And he looks at the depth chart and he sees A.J.
3:27Brown and Romeo Dobbs. And that's a problem for him to find the field.
3:31So I don't know if he's going to get traded before the season starts.
3:35Maybe it's more of a trade deadline type of scenario where he gets moved to a different team.
3:41But for all intents and purposes, they're going to probably keep seven receivers on the roster.
3:45So F. and Chisholm probably make the team. Kyle Williams, Mario Douglas getting really strong depth receiver for Drake May.
3:51So we love that Matt Collins. And the other thing is just dude, Rhamondre Stevenson is the starting running back for this team.
3:58Yeah, I've been saying it for a while. I've been in arguments with Boggs about Travion Henderson.
4:03And I have not tried to like get into this range where I want to argue that Travion Henderson isn't talented.
4:09But I've just been like Ramondra is still on the team and not going anywhere.
4:13So by virtue of that, I just don't see how if you I don't see how you can believe Travion will just be unleashed on everybody.
4:20But he's just probably going to run back. We did last year, which was great.
4:25But the the cost I'm just I'm still not there.
4:28Yeah, they're going to still try to get Henderson involved so that he can get opportunities to rip off that big explosive play.
4:34But Ramondra is a three down running back. He can play on all passing downs on all rushing down.
4:40If they're trying to grind out clock, that's Stevenson's game a little bit more.
4:44And the guy is an underrated pass catcher. Rhamondre seems to just a good running back.
4:49And I think that when Henderson got drafted, you firstly, I think initial reaction is to just right off the veteran.
4:55They drafted this guy in the second round, but they drafted Travion Henderson because he has juice.
4:59Again, he's more explosive than Ramondra Stevenson is. But Stevenson also does so many other things well, especially when it comes to pass protection.
5:06So although I don't think it's going to be as stark as like the playoff splits, I still think that it's going
5:13to be a committee in favor of Stevenson to start the season.
5:16And Henderson is going to have to really show out to take away and eat into Stevenson's touches and carry.
5:22So if you were looking for a late RB to Stevenson is definitely that type of player for you going in draft scan.
5:29He's going behind Henderson. I get the upside bet on Henderson in the long term in the second half of the season.
5:35But in terms of week one, who's going to be under center with Drake May when they tried out on Wednesday night against the Seattle Seahawks?
5:43Barring something catastrophic happening. It's going to be Ramondra Stevenson.
5:45I love it. I love it. Go to YouTube.com slash tailgate NFL.
5:49If you guys want to check out all the NFL talk that we have and you can get some nuggets like that,
5:55that you can take into the fantasy side. Well, let's get to the studio audience again.
6:00If you guys want to join this fantasy pros dot com slash chat.
6:04That's how you can join the fantasy pros discord.
6:06You get a free fantasy pros account. I believe that just gets you right in.
6:11There's a premium side to the discord, but that is not in effect for this.
6:15You can come and hang out in the extra point, which will be a regular episode all season long.
6:20We're just doing draft stuff right now. But Erickson and I are here every Thursday, 2 p.m.
6:25Eastern. So if you're listening on the podcast feed, hello, we love you.
6:29Thank you for listening. And by the way, you guys have made this one of the more listened to audio podcasts.
6:35That's why this show continues to roll. But come and hang out with us.
6:39We I'm actually like elated. I'm seeing not only people from last week, but I'm seeing some characters.
6:44Our boy Bucks man was in here like let's go like some.
6:48We're getting some of our characters from last year that are rolling back in.
6:52So I love that. And our audience absolutely blown out the water.
6:55We have tons and tons of questions. So again, you guys produce the show fantasy pros dot com slash chat.
7:01Be a part of it in season with us.
7:04Don't be afraid to talk. Our people ain't afraid to talk and let's get to it.
7:08But overcome is our first person. Unmute your mic, brother, and hit us with what you got because you were on the stage.
7:15Sorry, are you OK? Yeah, we got your brother.
7:18What do you got for us? So last night on a whim in my 10 man full PBR league that I've been
7:24in for 10 years now with my same friends, we switched from Yahoo to sleeper or redirect league.
7:29I noticed that we could trade picks. And I was planning on taking I had picked 1.5.
7:34I was planning on taking Jonathan Taylor there because it's Jonathan Taylor and their, you know, offensive line is ranked top five still and he's 27.
7:42And I know that when I was 27, I was I felt stronger than ever.
7:46But anyways, I I offered it to my buddy for his pick 17 and pick 24 and he accepted.
7:52So, yeah, I've got picked brick in 16, 17, 24 and 25 now.
7:55And what are your thoughts on that? I feel like that's like right at the edge of a tier cliff.
8:01Maybe. What do you think PBR 10 man? What do you think of Erickson?
8:05Because like immediately when he said that, I feel like this is an incredible opportunity.
8:09I'm thinking in your brain to get one of those tight ends because you're going to have such depth there.
8:15But you do have to make up for a few things.
8:18I do agree with kind of the tier thing.
8:21I think I personally am probably emptying to go in some type of an order to wide receivers.
8:26I didn't and running back depending if there's some amazing value there.
8:30Like I would love to get like AJ Brown.
8:32Let's say AJ Brown Devon H and Brock Bowers or Kray McBride and you know, if pick maybe like an Olave something.
8:39What do you think about maybe the names don't quite add up, but what do you think?
8:44What do you think about strategic time down here for the picks?
8:47Well, I think it's a great opportunity to just kind of let the draft come to you, right?
8:52Yeah, you don't have to sweat out the first round and see who goes at the top.
8:57Again, we have a good idea of those types of players, but depending on which ADP again going from Yahoo to sleepers.
9:03I'm not sleeper ADP. I know that I have a league that's on sleeper that I was looking at in preparation for my draft in a couple weeks.
9:12I was looking at where we wanted to pick.
9:14We ultimately settled on eight because of the value that I saw at the end of the second round.
9:20And now that is value that you can extract.
9:22You can get you. I think you're gonna be able to easily get both Chase Brown and AJ Brown both guys that
9:29I would have no qualms about taking at the end of the round one.
9:33Yeah. So that by itself, you're getting those types of players.
9:36Essentially, you trade Jonathan Taylor to get Chase Brown and AJ Brown.
9:39I don't think I know it's not I want to be on when it comes to that type of trade.
9:45Again, JT is the highest ranked guy, but the combined efforts between AJ Brown and Chase Brown.
9:50And then you just consider who would be the replacement for that next player with Jonathan Taylor.
9:55I think you would prefer getting two players that I think I have ranked top five.
10:00AJ Brown's my fifth ranked receiver. Chase Brown's my fifth ranked running back.
10:03So I think that's a good. Those are two names that stand out to me that I think just based on what
10:10you have to work with and the sleeper ADP, you should be the lock and load with those two players and then
10:16add in an elite tight end also. Yeah, that's kind of what I was alluding to.
10:21Like at the end of the day, I'm going to let things come.
10:24I wouldn't say stringent. Like I've got to get two wide outs or running back in a tight end.
10:30Like just if it ended up being all the sudden, it's like break London, Chase Brown, AJ Brown.
10:35And then, you know, it's another wide receiver. Now, that's just too good of a value.
10:40I'm fine with that. I don't like I'm going to let the best players come in, but I think that would be like a general consensus.
10:47And I usually wouldn't advocate for doing something like that, like trading out of your first round because by the way, that
10:54guy is now going to have two first round guys.
10:57So that guy is going to go in and he's going to have something like Jamar Chase and Christian McCaffrey, you know,
11:03or it's going to be Jonathan Taylor and Jackson Smith digba.
11:06And in a 10 man league, you can make up some serious ground.
11:10If I were to ever do his side, it would be in a 10 man league because I'd be like, well, OK, I lost my second round pick.
11:18That sucks. But, you know, the depth is going to be so much better because it's a 10 man league.
11:24The player pool is better. I'm going to be able to make up for it.
11:28So it's one of those where like I could actually defend going the other side.
11:32But how you broke it down being like you traded Jonathan Taylor for Chase Brown and AJ Brown.
11:38I like the buildup that we're getting to talking about JT 27 best shape of my life.
11:42And then being like, I got rid of them.
11:45He's a storyteller. He was like my league. He's like my league.
11:49We moved to we moved to a new format.
11:51That's how you do it. Sleeper Yahoo. And then he's like, I want Jonathan Taylor.
11:55I love him. Oh, OK. But I traded him.
11:58Well, you know, I was following the story. I mean, I couldn't tell if we were starting to be the beginning.
12:04Is this the opening to the Odyssey? I have not seen the Odyssey, but I feel like it's going to give that type of same vibe.
12:12Yeah. All right. Catalyst is on. Catalyst, what's up, dude?
12:15Hey, what's up, guys? Thanks for having me on the show.
12:18What you got? So I'm referring to my other dynasty team that is very dominant.
12:22I posted the roster quarterback may Mendoza Rogers cousins running back Brown scat Tutton price wide receiver Jason Pickens Tets a book conception tight end Warren Fannin Stowers.
12:30So I wanted to know as far because like I I basically trade away a lot of like I have no 2027
12:37picks basically so so I can like compete within last year and then this year.
12:41So what would you consider a sell if if I had to sell like midseason?
12:45Did you say is this this is super flex obviously?
12:48Yeah, this is super flex 12 team super flex 12 team super flex FPP or whatever something like that.
12:54Yeah. Okay, cool. Um, so I'm sorry. So the question was what would you consider to sell on this team?
12:59And for this season. Okay, if I had to sell this season if you had to sell this season.
13:05Okay, cool. So taking a look again at the team I defined it may Mendoza Rogers cousins.
13:10Uh, there's definitely a strength at running back wide receiver.
13:13There's also a pretty big strength at four and you've got to top end tight end.
13:17So if you were to be selling and I guess I kind of struggling.
13:21Do you think do you think he meant the cell is like oh my team does suck and I have to sell
13:28off or is this like if I need to sell piece to make adjustments run like where are you going to?
13:34I feel like I'm a little bit maybe honed in on running back here with some of that depth.
13:39I wouldn't want to get rid of any of those wide receivers really it's super strong a long term, but I feel
13:46like I'd be looking at a guy like specifically like a cam Scadaboo or a Newton would be trying to move off of.
13:52Yeah, I think Scadaboo is probably the player I would pinpoint as the cell in terms of okay, let's say he stays healthy to start the year.
14:00He's on fire. He has a monster performance in a couple of these games for the New York Giants.
14:06The Giants were still talking about all offseason how they wanted to add another running back.
14:10They apparently were alive to draft Jeremiah love. So I still think that's something you can't totally forget when it comes to
14:17Scadaboo in terms of his dynasty outlook that this Giants backfield may not be complete between him and Tyron Tracy in 2027.
14:23And I don't think it's like going out on a stretch talking about what's his longevity in the NFL.
14:28I know we even talked about this on the tailgate when he was doing the backflips and it's like is this guy
14:35gonna have a second contract like I don't know like I feel like that's being really really bullish and like glass half full.
14:41In terms of projecting his NFL career. So I think he will probably have the production that people will kind of gravitate
14:48towards where you can get a lot for him to in.
14:51I think it's more of a second half surge type of player because I think that if this Chris Rodriguez thing is
14:57gonna be annoying, it's gonna be to start the year and it's gonna be the Zach Moss Chase Brown thing where it
15:04took about eight weeks before the team just like okay, we're unleashing Chase Brown.
15:08Zach Moss got hurt, but eventually they turned over to the guy who had the most explosiveness on the roster and that
15:14was to it and same thing with price. Obviously Chase Brown you want to hold on to because he is in a contract year.
15:21So I think he's just going to have steady production throughout.
15:24So that's the way I would you it. Maybe you can trade Aaron Rodgers to do team that needs a quarterback and
15:31at that point hopefully the Raiders will have Mendoza.
15:33So Rogers again, I don't know how much you'll get for him.
15:37So maybe that's probably not worth trading to have his like quarterback depth with Aaron Rodgers because you know he's at least gonna start games.
15:44But there's also a chance to that the Steelers decide to sit him down and be like look we're out of contention.
15:50We want to see what we have with Drew Aller because that we know this is Rogers last year.
15:56Maybe the only guy would maybe consider would be Pickens because if you I know Adam Schefter has talked about this where
16:02look he doesn't have a new contract. If he doesn't have a new contract in the second half of the season is
16:08he going to be out there the last four weeks.
16:11He's gonna be playing a hundred percent knowing. Oh, I see what you like that's what I mean.
16:17Like I'm kind of banged up. Yeah, I'm not going this week like but that that wouldn't surprise you coming get George Pickens like very polarizing super talent.
16:25Not the player did not get the long term contract.
16:28So that's just something that when Schefter talked about it on one of his shows something that was in the back of
16:34my mind of like, okay, like George Pickens in the second half of the season.
16:38Maybe we might see some type of fall off again, like it's also not eating them.
16:43Like I cannot imagine he's gonna be like, oh, I strained my checkbook.
16:47You know if they're like in a heavy playoff rate, but you think you want to win or does he want to get paid?
16:54Well, I think I think he's actually he should be given a leverage play.
16:58Like you should be given a little bit of grace because he could have done like all these other guy.
17:03He could have held out and he decided he's not going to hold it.
17:07So I mean, I think if you're looking for the contract, the worst thing he could do would be to play.
17:13I mean, obviously, unless you do fake injury thing, but the only reason you think.
17:18Yeah, and to I'm trying to also just not sell the worst act.
17:22I'm trying to look at players that you're actually going to get something back for.
17:26Yeah, right. Like that's why we're not just talking about.
17:29Oh, well, let's get rid of Rogers. That's what the caveat that I mean, you can't get anything for him.
17:35Just keep them right. He's depth in super flex format.
17:37So all right, let's go to go Phil's as it goes really quick.
17:41So I have a dynasty question. I have 10 team single QB PPR dynasty.
17:45I just put my roster in the in the chat.
17:48So it's very much a top heavy league starting lineup ceiling pretty much matters more than depth.
17:53I just got a trade offer. So I would be giving up Carnell Tate and Travis Etienne for Zay Flowers and a 2027 first.
18:00I probably currently projected around like a one of three, one of six, you know, definitely high on both wide receivers.
18:06I know Erickson Flowers is your boy. So I definitely think Kate has the wide receiver upside.
18:11But you obviously I also think flowers can take another step under the new coaching staff and become a legitimate dynasty.
18:17And why would it say we want it that TV production improves?
18:21So I think that 2027 first is kind of what really makes this interesting.
18:25So I kind of wanted to see what would you make this deal given my roster and then why or why not?
18:31Good real quick. What would you project that that first round pick is going to be like, is this team going to suck that they want this?
18:39Are they going to be highly competitive? I'd say it's like anywhere between like one or three, one or six.
18:45So not like the said the most competitive team, but somewhere in the middle of the road at the very least, I'd say.
18:51Okay. That's interesting. We get it. We always get into this.
18:54Like I sometimes think first round picks get overvalued in this stuff.
18:58I think it's a weird trade because Tate and flowers, but almost cross cancel each other from a full long dynasty dynasty perspective.
19:05Tate edge over flowers. And then it's like, is he in worth the first round pick?
19:09I think that's where you kind of mentally happen.
19:12His starting lineup is Drake may he's got Hampton and chase Brown as a starting running backs bottle and McMillan is a starting wide outs.
19:19And at flex, he's currently got scatter boot and current hate.
19:22I think that this is the move to make because flowers could easily.
19:26I would assume that he's going to out produce Carnell Tate this year.
19:30Obviously, Tate is younger, but this roster has plenty of flex depth between Devante Adams, Stefan Diggs, Wan'Dale Robinson, Christian Watson, Isaiah likely.
19:36I think that moving off of a Chan, you're getting a good return on his value.
19:41And I like a Chan on the Saints. He's not without his warts, but I think that you're getting a strong return
19:47for him and then flipping Tate for flowers. Yeah, you get the bit of an older receiver, but I think you get
19:54a receiver in his prime, like who's like ready to go.
19:57So I would do this deal. One note is on the fantasy pros consensus dynasty ranks.
20:01Not only is Tate higher, he's the 13th wide receiver and flowers is 18, but they're a tier difference.
20:07I don't know if you subscribe to that. That's obviously weighing a lot though of Tate future production, younger player top five pick.
20:14Whereas a I mean, we're not drafting Carnell Tate over say flowers redraft because flowers is going to out produce him this year.
20:20You bought a sofa. You didn't have to assemble a suit.
20:23Someone measured just for you. And now you're taking a guy's trip that actually matters.
20:28You've upgraded a few things in life. So why are you still running with rough nicotine pouches on plus nicotine pouches with
20:34Niko silk mesh, no corners, no rough edges, just the softest pouch on the planet.
20:38You've evolved. And this is what's next on plus nicotine pouches.
20:42Not all varieties available in all geographies. Warning. This product contains nicotine.
20:45Nicotine is an addictive chemical. Foodies unite. This is Angie Martinez from IRL podcast here to tell you about something new and delicious from McDonald's.
20:52So they just released an all new Caesar sauce.
20:55That is a creamy blend of rich Parmesan, zesty lemon and bold garlic flavors.
20:59The sauce on a chicken Caesar snack wrap or the McCrispy strips delicious, which by the way, the crispy strips are even crispier now.
21:06And that combination is perfect from McDonald's. And for a drink, I'll probably have a nice cold Sprite to go along with that perfectly.
21:13And I will be a happy girl. Don't take my word for it.
21:17Try it out for yourself for a limited time while supplies last at participating McDonald's.

21:39Rain Man, come on down. Rain Man next up on Extra Point.
21:43What's up, dude? Hold on, gents. Eric's in the quick sidebar that I think you'll be proud of is I managed to
21:49get the mayor and AJ stacked as part of my draft this year.
21:53So I finally gave up on chasing the borough chase stack after like three years because that lasted all of a half a game last year.
22:00And I punted on the bangles this year. So anyways, I wanted to pick your guys' brains.
22:05We have a short bench. It's a half point, three wide receiver, two running back roster, but we only have four bench spots.
22:12So the ability to wait on players is a little limited at times.
22:16So every year I like to take a swing on a rookie wide receiver.
22:20So I'm curious your guys' thoughts. I drafted Lemon, but I'm curious as your guys' thoughts on the rookie in San Francisco,
22:26given who's ahead of him with Evans and Debo, their injury histories and where the Niners drafted him.
22:31I think that's driven makes sense. Should be drafted across most formats just because of the 49ers receivers not getting hurt.
22:37Been good in training camp. However, where is he going to fall in the target pecking order?
22:42I think that's where Evans is out there. Debo is out there.
22:46Kittle apparently is going to be playing. So he still might be the fourth receiver on the team.
22:51McCaffrey as well. So again, I get like he's filling in for Pierce all, but at the same time, I'm in the better talent in my estimates.
22:59And I know he's been dealing with hamstring injury, but I think that I'd still prefer lemon than dribbling as a bench receiver.
23:05It's just if he takes a Debo, not the Debo role, the Juwan Jennings role from last season, he gets that kind
23:12of target share when Pierce falls not out. Again, I think if you believe that dribbling, if you're looking at him and
23:18you're like, be the winner league winner. Like I agree with you.
23:22I think there's just like so many things that would have to happen for from a standpoint of like, is he a value?
23:28Is he a guy? Is he somebody that you could get into your lineups?
23:32Like, yeah, maybe. All right. Jaybird, what's up? Come on down.
23:35The question is, hey, there first time listener, 10 team, single quarterback, PPR, tight end premium.
23:40Keep to Loveland for an eighth. I'm guessing that's May for a 10th or bottle for six Loveland and may take the best guy.
23:47Three. Thank you, dude. Jay spark. What's up? You're our final at least hand raise here for extra point.
23:52What up, dude? Awesome. All right. So few questions here.
23:55Uh, with the latest Chuba news, does that right now impact your rankings for Brooks?
24:00The guy's kind of waiting on that. Yeah. I think that this just gives the easy runway for Brooks to cement himself
24:06as the RB one, which I think that that's what all of us that were Brooks supporters were kind of the under
24:12the impression that, Hey, there's a chance he's going to take over this backfield.
24:16Well, now it's being served to him on a silver platter where the veteran running back is no longer in the picture.
24:23He's dealing with a hamstring injury already listed as week to week.
24:26And if you've done this as long as I have week to week, usually means like month to month.
24:32I'd say no longer in the pictures, a little dramatic to be saying that like it is.
24:37I know what you're saying. It's still week to week.
24:40Like there's still like a month, but practically before the season, right?
24:43He could be, but I just want to point that out, but I'm in agreement.
24:47But also he's missed time in the past because of hamstring injuries.
24:51So that's the thing. Like he's again, we'll look at his position.
24:54He knows that there is a young running back that's vying for his job.
24:58He's now going to miss time with a soft tissue injury.
25:02He's going to try to get back probably sooner rather than later because he doesn't want to lose his job again like he did last year.
25:09So again, I'm not trying to like bury Chuba Hubbard, but this guy is a former fifth round pick and was really productive when he's given the opportunities.
25:17But he's fallen off in the second halves of both of the last two seasons.
25:21Again, Rico Dowdle took over this backfield last year when he missed time with an injury.
25:26And I think we might just see the same thing play out again.
25:30Now it's a matter of can Brooks deliver with the opportunities because the opportunity is there for him now and they face the Bears in week one.
25:38So I would say that's a pretty good matchup.
25:40And if he shows out in that game looks explosive catching passes out of the backfield.
25:45Again, there's not a lot of pass catchers that are going to command targets in this offense behind Coker and Tetra McMillan.
25:51I mean Darren Waller's there now, but we'll see if he does anything besides catch touchdowns and release rap albums.
25:57So I think Brooks right now, at least from a rankings perspective, I think he's in the conversation of well, where does Bayshel Tootin go?
26:04I think Jonathan Brooks should be right in that kind of range of middle round running back that you're betting on a
26:11breakout upside play because now the opportunity seems like it's going to be there for the taking versus beforehand.
26:16It was OK. Well, he's going to have to dethrone Chuba.
26:19Maybe this is frustrating for the first couple of weeks of the season.
26:23Now that may not even be in play anymore.
26:26So I think that the upside case is still there for him.
26:29Round six, I think, is still like where I don't feel like I'm like overpaying significantly.
26:34But and I think in more and more casual leagues, he still will be going somewhat later.
26:39But round six for me in that Bayshel Tootin range, I think, is still like a good sweet spot for him with this new news.
26:46All right. What else? What else you got? Awesome.
26:48Yeah, thanks. So 12 team redraft full PPR. I've got craft as a keeper on the 15th.
26:53So I'm wondering without him. I mean, he's practicing right now, but should I draft another tight end or should I just stream until practice fully go?
27:01Even if I'm investing in an early round tight end for the most part, I would just leave drafts with that one player.
27:08But tight ends can also get banged up to like in the trenches blocking that creates more opportunities for these guys to get banged up.
27:15We saw with last year with Brock Bowers. So I think that even if you go with an early round tight end
27:21or you're committing to a player like a Tucker craft, especially if you're for craft coming off an injury, kiddo coming off an injury.
27:28It doesn't kill you to just draft likely draft Dalton Kincaid draft Greg Dolce.
27:32I throw at the end of your roster and just kind of see how things shake out because the worst case scenario
27:39is you only take craft and oh, he's not right.
27:42He's not ready for week one. Now you're scrambling.
27:44Just get ahead of it. You know, draft one of these tight ends, especially if you feel confident about like Kincaid.
27:50I know Welsh was the last year that you really liked Kincaid did.
27:54I was going to have the big break. Yeah, I had him as like a breakout.
27:59Never wrong. That's early early, but I did have two tight ends.
28:02On sleeper ranks. By the way, the thing we didn't talk, we briefly talked about this in the episode.
28:08Yes, we're going to end the show with this, but this show might have to be retitled the extra sleepers because your
28:14boys were top seven in overall draft ranks last season with sleepers.
28:18I was five overall and Erickson was seven. We were obviously the highest in fantasy pros on that, but both pretty proud of that.
28:24Both pretty proud of that being top 10 in the because we have not only have you a normal draft rank, but you've got your sleeper.
28:32We have a couple different elements of it, but there are sleeper draft rankings.
28:36It ain't easy to do. I don't think every single person that did the draft ranking sleeper, but I think we should
28:42give each other a little bit of credit on that.
28:45And I point this out and that made me think of it because two of my sleepers I had tied.
28:51I had Kyle Pitts and Tyler Warren as sleeper.
28:54I hit, I think there were my one and two tight ends.
28:57It I Drake may a quarterback and I'm trying to think of other one.
29:01It was a wide receiver that Wanda Robinson did.
29:04Oh yeah. Wanda Robinson. Yeah. Yeah. That was, that was a smash on that.
29:08So got top five and dude, you got seven.
29:10So this is now the extra sleeper pod. Yeah.
29:13It's really interesting to look back at the names and seeing like which one you're most proud of because I think, okay,
29:19like Drake may like all these, I feel like that was such a layup.
29:23Oh, like the 10, I think had Drake. So, so that one, I'm not like, oh yeah.
29:28Like I've called Drake may like, okay, that's fine.
29:31Uh, Krosky merit. He was a popular buzzy guy.
29:34I think that he was just a good running back sleeper to pick and he had a mixed bag of a season,
29:40but for a seventh round rookie, I think, yeah, he was, he was relatively a good pick.
29:45Keenan Allen also seemed like a layup in terms of just like, he was just under priced because he's a couple guys.
29:51Yep. And then, but the one I'm most proud of is common on guy.
29:55Definitely. Because to me, and I wish this, and a lot of people have like asked me like, like, who's this year's common on guy?
30:02And I'm like, I don't think there is one.
30:05Like, I really wish I could tell you, but this running back class is so underwhelming compared to last year's where I'm
30:11not nearly as confident at any of these day three picks with some of these rosters.
30:16Whereas Manunga last year, it was your guy, our guy, Manunga.
30:19Like that was the running theme that this guy was going to be a smash.
30:24So he's definitely the sleeper that I am most proud of Welsh of your picks.
30:28I mean, the fact that Tyler Warren, it just seems like in hindsight, how he was a sleeper anyway, or I mean, Kyle pits.
30:35Obviously as well, too. I mean, you just trace the draft.
30:38I remember last year. That's nuts. Yeah. Crazy. Yeah.
30:41I think I had Warren at like seven or something like that.
30:44To your point, like may doesn't mean anything. Like all it was, was like Drake may was the defining point.
30:50If you were going to finish high. So we had him, Kyle pits was whatever.
30:54Um, I can be honest with you. I don't even remember that one.
30:58Warren was good, but I don't, I feel good about the Wando one.
31:02I feel like I'm proud of because that was one where, you know, I, I did definitely in Bogman's joked about this.
31:08But Bogman was a huge, uh, Wando guy last year and everybody just gave him crap about to the point where like
31:14it was Fitzy and Seely and they joke about, we all joke about it, but they like, were like, they hated it.
31:21And one of them, I don't remember who it was.
31:24Seely like literally was like, what a waste of a pick.
31:27And I was defending it. And I was like, nah, dude, one day, like it was like, oh, just empty receptions and blah, blah, blah.
31:34So I doubled down and I'm proud of that one.
31:37But, um, yeah, go check out where the sleeper ranks are sitting at.
31:41Now the sleeper ranks help power draft wizard. When you get your insights after it'll tell you if you drafted some of those top ones.
31:48We'll have to announce on our last extra point show before the season starts, our official sleepers that we have in the ranking.
31:55Cause I think it's like you get four running backs, four receivers, two tight ends, two quarterbacks.
32:00Yeah. And it's only a select amount you can choose from, by the way, if people don't understand it, like we don't just get the pool.
32:07They lock the pool at a certain amount of players that you from.
32:11So yeah, you're correct. Two, two, two quarterback, two tight end, and then four on the other.
32:16Well, that'll be a fun episode that we do on the extra point.
32:20Yeah. I think that's a good idea. We'll do that right before the season starts.
32:24We'll take a look at what our sleeper because, uh, kind of killed it and you guys smashed it.
32:29Thank you so much for everybody that joined in second episode of the season.
32:33You guys killed it with your question. Uh, we appreciate you guys helping produce.
